[03.26.04] 24/3 - HK's most lovable purity male celebrity: ZZ, Voted by Hongkong's RICH WOMEN

When talking about how much does a male celeb 'cost', not only we talk about his salary, there's one more new perspect we look for -- how much is needed to 'buy' a male celeb. From China's news report, they made a special survey and research to find out what type of male celeb Hongkong rich women wants and how much they are willing to pay for a male celeb.

The results were surprising and it came out to be Taiwanese Boyband F4's youngest hot baby ZaiZai Zhou Yu Min who topped amongst so many male celebs. These rich women are very generous and are willing to pay 6 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 HKD to 'buy' and feed Zaizai for 1 year.

It has been very common when businessmen booked hot female celeb. It wasnt rare anymore. However, rich businesswomen nowadays turned the world around!! They used money to buy relationship and love!!! Their survey results stated that during 1980s, these women love to see Leslie Cheung as he looks pretty good. During those days, some women were willing to pay Leslie 1 Million HKD to 'own' him for 1 year. These figures overwhelmed many other male celeb's wages. And now to 1990s, Butter-faced Leon Lai was the hot pick. Some of these women offered 1.6million to 'own' him for 1 year. Then, Tony Leong and Aaron Quak were placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Now the successor of the 1990 hot pick of the ladies was ZZ ZHOU YU MIN!!!! Just because of Meteor Garden, it rocketted him in all countries especially in HK too. Out of so many hot picks, ZZ was offered the most in the century! ZZ gives a very shy but gentle appearance, and a mind of purity boy. This then proven that there is no need to be muscular in order to achieve a place in women's heart.

Jerry Yan and Jay Chou were then placed 2nd and 3rd respectively. However whenever male celebs hear these news, they always turned away from that conversation. They rather film more movies and release more album than being called a "Xiao Bai Lian"(takes money from women only; useless).

Everyone had to go onto the track and clean off all the snow on the track. They even had to use fire to dry up the snow that was on the track, this is to ensure the safety of all the actors.

[03.23.04] Zai Zai praised by a Japanese racer that he has hidden quality

For his new drama “Mars,” Vic Zhou traveled to Xian Tai to film and cooperated with well-known Japanese racer, Chang Shan Zhong Yu. Zai Zai, who set foot on a racetrack for the first time, was praised to have a hidden quality to be a true racer.

Earlier, Zai Zai and Da S traveled to Xian Tai, Japan to film “Mars.” In order to film a series of racing scenes, the team especially went to a real racetrack, Sugo, to take scenery. Even more, they invited Yamaha motorcycle advisor A Bu Dian Shi to guide Zai Zai in his racing scenes. What’s more is that Zai Zai had the opportunity to work with well-known Japanese racer, Chang Shan Zhong Yu. Despite the language barrier, under the aid of translators, Zai Zai was still able to frequently gain knowledge from the other party.

Chang Shan Zhong Yu, having had more than 10 years of experience, had a very good impression on Zai Zai. A few days ago, he wrote his thoughts about working together with Zai Zai on his personal website. He greatly praised that Zai Zai took his work seriously, knew the appropriate times to control the speed limit and has a hidden quality for a racer. Furthermore, he said that the two had a pleasant time working together and hopes that they will have a chance to work together again someday.

The team stayed at Xian Tai for almost a week. Because the weather was unsteady, they couldn’t shoot any scenes since the shooting location always accumulated snow. All Zai Zai could do was shoot some motorcycle scenes indoors.

Fortunately, the weather was better during the last two days. Zai Zai was finally able to drive a motorcycle on the racetrack and complete the series of racing scenes smoothly.

In order to fit the “unruly” image of the lead role, Zai Zai need hair extensions. His hair is about 5 inches longer. Zai Zai laughingly said that it was most inconvenient when eating because he frequently ate his own hair. But the benefit of his longer hair is that it keeps him warmer so he doesn’t need to wear a scarf.

This time Zai Zai lived in Xian Tai’s famous Hotsprings Hotel SugoCircuit. Zai Zai, who originally wanted to go to the hot springs, didn’t find out that there were about 100 fans until he reached the hotel. Because the hot spring was outside of the room, to avoid fans peeping, Zai Zai gave up the chance of enjoying the hot springs.

[03.23.04] Director Cai said Zaizai’s acting skills and pronunciations have greatly improved

It’s been two years since Director Cai worked with Ziazai and Big S in Meteor Garden. He is very satisfied with their performances.

Probably because of her experiences in the past two years, Big S’s acting style has matured a lot and the transformation suits her role in Mars fine.

Compared to when Zaizai was in Meteor Garden, director Cai says Zaizai has greatly improved.

He said that the other day they were shooting a scene that both of them thought was very similar to one scene in Meteor Garden. At the time of Meteor Garden, it took them from noon till dark and still couldn’t get it right.

This time Zaizai finished it rather quickly. That’s how much he has improved.

As for pronunciation of which even Zaizai himself thinks is difficult to overcome, he says Zaizai has improved a lot.

"So that i can be close to my fans' hearts," he cooes sweetly.

2. HE diets to keep himself slim(T/F)
False. On the contrary, naturally skinny Zai Zai is buffing himself up to prepare for a new role in a sitcom. the lanky lad knows he'll never have bandmate Wu's muscles, so he's content to lift the occassional dumbbell at home.

3. He's envious of Jerry (T/F)

4. He'd rather be a pop star than an actor. (T/F)
False. Maybe hit's because he'd made his showbiz debut on the hit drama Meteor Garden. 5. He's obsessed with his hair (T/F)

[03.19.04] 3/17 ZZ - 20,000,000 a month, partly translated

Rich commerce likes young girls with a good stature. Rich women like cutie gigolos and bold men with well-built bodies as well as handsome guys. The entertainment circle is the headquarters of ferocious males. It’s only natural that this is the holy place for millionaire ladies.

From the 80s’ Leslie Cheung, Andy Lau, Ray Liu to the 90s’ Tony Leung, Leon, until today’s Zai Zai, Jerry Yan and Bae Yong Jun, all are the most wanted male celebrities of rich ladies. In order to touch the hearts of these actors, wealthy women are willing to take out 5,000,000 to 8,000,000 HKD (NT 22,500,000 to 36,000,000).

A few days ago, handsome Korean actor Bae Yong Jun promoted his new movie in Taiwan arousing madness among female fans. But looking ahead, among these females, the majority are wealthy ladies. They have money and leisure. When they chase celebrities they obviously spend a ton booking charabancs, rooms, and fields. They make people aware of middle-aged women’s grand offerings, not losing to young people.

With the same principle, if millionaire women have a male celebrity as their target, the money they throw out really can kill people. Last year, Vic Zhou and Ken Zhu promoted their drama “Love Storm” in Indonesia. The two created a whirlwind, receiving a very warm welcome by young female fans.

However, this is not what confounded the staff members because there was a middle-aged lady who claimed to be rich. She said she owned a bank, forest, department store and other industries. She said, “As long as F2 Vic Zhou and Ken Zhu are willing to be supported, just give me a price!” This almost frightened the two guys to death.

The upper class in Hong Kong has always had a price list of supported female celebrities. They also have a price ranking of the most popular supported male celebrities. From this chart, it’s not difficult to see that male celebrities that the rich ladies like sequent with generation and trend.

Next few paragraphs on some Hong Kong celebrities and the amount rich ladies gave to support them.

In 2000, these celebrities are in their 30s and 40s so they do not meet with wealthy ladies’ demands of “young and fresh.” Therefore, nowadays, Zai Zai, Jerry Yan and Jay Chou have become the three most wanted men by rich ladies for care.

In order to take care of these 3 handsome celebrities, these rich ladies have offered millions. For Zai Zai’s support price, a month is 5,000,000 HKD (NT 22,500,000), Jerry’s is 3,000,000HKD a month and Jay’s is 2,000,000HKD a month.

The reason why all 3 stars are from Taiwan is probably because there hasn't been any new artists that stands out in HK and the old ones don't have anything refreshing.

Rich Ladies Love Zai Zai Most

This person expressed that Zai Zai's gentilesse and obedient appearance not only attract young girls, but also recieves gazes from wealthy women. And Zai Zai's shyness and his lovable traits arousing rich ladies' maternity. That's why he is the champion for most popular male celebrity wanted by rich ladies.

[03.18.04] The Pop Boybands are Alright
By Xtian Ji Huang
CN TV, China
March 17, 2004

IS it time to wave bye, bye, bye to teen pop? Critics seem to think so.
But they were sounding the death knell for teen ear candy back in January,
after Vic Chou's album failed to sell high-expected figures.

Even as boy band 5566 releases "Second album" - one of the year's most in-demand discs - music critics are predicting the death of bubble-gum pop.

FTV declared in a headline on Friday, "Boy bands starting to feel some backlash."

" 'Pop' Goes the Teen Boom?" asked Entertainment U in February, after Chou released the single "Ji De Wo Ai Ni." The article went on to say the "music industry is anticipating a downturn because it believes teens are burned out on the sound."

And Asia News Service recently reported, "Teen pop may be petering out."

It's more a matter of taste than truth. Sure, F4 not the Beatles or even the Spinners, but don't tell that to 14-year olds, who still cause a traffic jam in Taichung when any of their pop idols are on.

Hey, critics never liked teen pop to begin with. And teen pop idols like F4 and 5566 don't like critics as well, to begin with.

And, if teen pop is a fading fad, store owners don't know it. They've ordered million copies of ZZ's new album, the same number they ordered for the group 5566 mega hit "Second Album."

But if *ZZ's and soon-to-release album Ken and Vanness's new effort fail to
match or exceed their first album sales (group or solo) - the disc will be deemed a failure.

And critics will start saying it's over for the pop-culture phenom.

But that's wishful thinking.

Even dumber are those - like Apple Daily - who suggest Yen's very adult problems of immaturity and unprofessionalism signal the end of the teen musical trend.

If booze and the blues could end a musical trend, rock 'n' roll would have died long before Elvis did and we'd all be doing the waltz.

F4 will always remain in the history of Music , Entertainment and Asia . The hell with the critics. If the critics say Vic's album expect to sale 2M, and he only sold 1.5M, does that mean his album is a failure? I don't think so...

Unexpected, it rained heavily on the day of shooting.
About 200 Japanese fans arrived on location in four buses to cheer up Zaizai and the crew.
They also brought winter gears such as warmers to help out shooting.
In front of Zaizai, they never even said they were freezing.
Zaizai was really touched by their considerations and diligences.

"Meteor Garden” has become very popular in Japan.

Presidential candidate Zhan Lian proposes voluntary enlistment
and says he would push to enact enlistment if he gets elected.
At that time, military services will no longer be mandatory for draftees.

At present time, there are many idol draftees,
including Energy, Youwei Lin, Wei Lee, Zaizai, 5566’s Menze Xu, Taro etc;
they are all assent to voluntary enlistment.

It is not that thy want to avoid military services.
All things considered,
enlistment is a better policy than the current mandatory conscription.
They also don’t have to worry about their careers, for which they have been striving so hard, being interrupted by military services.
Of course, they are all for it.

Zaizai currently is a college sophomore and will soon face the problem of military services.
He thinks one year and ten moths of training do not improve the military power.
Enlistment, which treats soldiers as a profession with full benefits, serves as a better national defense policy.

The rest are comments made by Youwei Lin and members of Energy and 5566.

[03.18.04] 3/17 Zaizai to cast his first presidential vote

In the face-off of blue and green,
one and half million voters,
their first time,
will decide the future of Taiwan

Yesterday Central Election Committee announced that

there will be 16,507,079 voters for the presidential election on March 20,
more than one million additional voters than last presidential election.
There are more than 1,580,000 people of first time voters,
ranking only after Taipei Prefecture and Taipei City in terms of voter population.
As the number of 20-24 age groups is sufficient enough to determine the outcome of election;
these young people have become crucial to both parties.

Negative propagandas not appealing

What image of a president do these young people have in mind?
Negative propagandas are not appealing to them.
Entertainer Jolin Tasi says:” I feel the character and personalities are very important. Most of all is responsibility.
He works for people’s welfare.”
Wei Lee says:” My ideal president is someone with intelligence, good disposition, a broad mind and humanity;
helping minority groups and spending money on taking care of people instead of buying missiles.”
Vic Zhou who can cast a ballot for the first time has already talked to the production crew to take that day off.

He definitely will squeeze time to vote.

[03.18.04] Zai Zai Likely To Outsell Everyone But himself

Vic's second Solo Album is turning out to be huge for Chou, though maybe not as huge as first one's Make A Wish. Four national retail chains said Monday (March 15) that based on first-day sales of Chou's Second Album, projected first-week numbers appeared to be
falling on sales of the SoundScan era.

But Chou's album, does not seem to be on course to top the first-best sales mark held by 5566, if compared, retailers said. "Based on what I'm seeing so far, I'm projecting millions in sales in asia of the albums of 5566 than Vic, like so far the releases
of the debut albums of F4 and 5566, 5566 album flew off the shelves and even ran out of stock to sell for buyers...said Bell, music buyer for the Music chain.
"It may not meet the mark of the Second Album of 5566, but in the end, Chou hopefully can still manage to hold at least the #3 if not the #1 which is the position for the quintet"

Through this, many people have been predicting the death of the F4 phenomenon, but anyone predicting that ZZ will also be over should be proven wrong.

On other stores, ZZ's album also was wiped off the shelves but failed to match the sales of Second Album by 5566. Best Megastores echoed that statement,
pinning Chou's sales at only 70 percent of those of 5566.

"We're very encouraged," Hanson from the TR said. "We think it'll do as well, if not better, than 5566."

Tang Ke Hua laughing said, “Because we are filming at the racing track at Xian Tai, there are many actors and actresses and staff members and they all have many questions. I attended high school and lived in Japan for many years so I can communicate with the Japanese people.”

Everyone really appreciates Tang Ke Hua for translating. Cai Yue Xun said, “At first I thought one translator is enough. I never thought that one translator couldn’t handle everything. Tang Ke Hua really has helped out actors, actresses and staff members of ‘Mars.’” Da S also thanks Tang Ke Hua, “Once we arrived I and other ladies couldn’t find the restroom. Tang Ke Hua helped us ask where the restroom was, we really thank him.” Zai Zai also said, “I wanted to buy some things but I couldn’t speak clearly, thanks to Tang Ke Hua for helping me ask.”

[03.14.04] “Mars” films in Japan for 10 days, all actors don’t know Japanese, Tang Ke Hua translates

Da S, Zai Zai, Director Cai Yue Xun, scenarist Yu Xiao Hui and all the other actors and actresses of “Mars” arrive in Japan without out knowing Japanese. What to do? Fear not because Tang Ke Hua, who portrays as Zai Zai’s best friend in the drama, translates.

The casts, director and scenarist of Angie Cai’s idol drama “Mars” all arrive in Japan to film without knowing Japanese or the area. The filming location resides at a backcountry and it also snowed. When communicating they used hand gestures. Cai Yue Xun said, “Although we found a translator, we never thought that the newbie Tang Ke Hua, who plays as Zai Zai’s best friend in the drama, knows Japanese. The 10 days in Japan is all depended on him!”

Tang Ke Hua is new to the acting field and has lived in Japan for 10 years. In the drama Zai Zai and he meets at a racing track and become good friends. Tang Ke Hua never thought that he’ll turn from an actor into a translator while traveling to Xian Tai with the drama crew.

[03.08.04] Vic Zhou filming in Japan for Mars 03/06

Yesterday, Zai Zai Vic Zhou went to the famous Sugo racing track in Japan to film several scenes for his new drama “Mars.” There were backsets on the first day of shooting due to snow. Zai Zai, as the leading role, has to risk racing in subzero temperatures.

Zai Zai and Da S, Hsu Xi Yuan, reached Japan yesterday to film for their new drama “Mars.” The main purpose is to shoot many irritating racing scenes. The location this time is Xian Tai Sport Land Sugo racing track. Back in the days, Jacky Chan once filmed the movie “Pi Li Huo” here. In February, director Cai Yue Xun took a special trip to view the scenery.

Yesterday, there were over 300 temporary actors. There were also many heavy-duty motorcycles at the scene. One manufacturing day cost more than 1,000,000HKD. At the same time, to ensure the actors’ safety, the manufacturing unit has to also purchase a huge sum of insurance. It’s no wonder “Mars” named the “most expensive manufactured Taiwan drama.”

The shooting yesterday was effected by the snowstorm many times. The group arrived at the racetrack in high spirits. But because of the incessant snowing, a cancellation was announced in the morning. The weather was better in the afternoon and the filming was able to carry on. But for safety reasons, the manufacturing unit only filmed a part of Zai Zai and Da S scenes yesterday. Zai Zai temporarily doesn’t need to race.

In order to film the numerous racing scenes, Zai Zai attended 10 “heavy-duty motorcycle” driving classes in Taiwan. He, who originally didn’t even have a motorcycle license, of course had some difficulties while riding the heavy-duty motorcycle. Especially driving in the snowstorm. Zai Zai is most worried that his body can’t deal with it and affecting the outcome of the filming. When asked if he was worried about safety, Zai Zai laughingly said, “I’m not worried about this. The drama group is more nervous than I am. I have a lot of confidence in their safety precautions.

Zai Zai was very excited to step foot on the Xian Tai’s racing track. He laughingly said that he feels like a “racer.” His only worry is the snowstorm. The progress of the shooting is fairly tight. He wishes that things would run more smoothly today.

While Zai Zai and Da S are in Japan, they’ll be publicizing due to the fact that “Meteor Garden” is currently being broadcasted in Japan. The 2 will be accepting many Japanese media interviews. There were already over 100 Japanese fans gathered at the filming scene today. All of them have seen “Meteor Garden” and fallen in love with Zai Zai and Da S. They were incessantly screaming their Japanese names.

[03.08.03] Vic Zhou films in snow, forgets to bring warm apparel 03/07

Vic Zhou, who has always been afraid of the cold, meets up with subzero degrees weather on his visit to Japan to film for his new drama. He immediately calls back to Taiwan to get rescue. His management company prepared thick clothes, warm bundles, and other things that keep you warm at once to hand over to Zai Zai.

Zai Zai is currently in Xian Tai filming for his new drama “Mars.” Not until he arrived in Japan the other day did he discovered that the temperatures were below zero. Only bringing some thick apparel, Zai Zai immediately called back to Taipei to get rescue from his management company. He shouted into the telephone, “So cold!” The staff, knowing that Zai Zai has always been afraid of the cold, quickly sent him a lot of thick clothes as well as a bunch of gloves to keep his hands warm.

When Zai Zai was shooting for his “Remember I Love You” album cover, there was a man-made snow scene. Because only some man-made snow covered the grass, Zai Zai didn’t like it since it wasn’t real enough. Now that he can truly see real snow, Zai Zai is not as excited as he imaged himself to be. Zai Zai, whose chin has been frozen countless times, said, “This is the first time I actually saw snow, but it is so cold that my brain is deadlocked.”

Because of the snowstorm the other day, the shooting couldn’t proceed. Yesterday, the weather improved, only flurrying during the afternoon. The drama group eventually began filming the racing scene. First off was Zai Zai driving a heavy black motorcycle. Due to the fact that F4 are the spokesmen for Yamaha, the four will receive Yamaha as a sponsor when filming dramas.

Zai Zai stepped foot on Xian Tai’s famous Sport Land Sugo racing track yesterday. When he drove a lap around the track on a heavy motorcycle, there were frequent cheers from the field. According to what is known, there were over 300 temporary actors at the scene yesterday. The majority of them are Zai Zai’s Japanese fans. In order to see their idol they went to be temporary actors without receiving any rewards. However, the drama crew already reached an agreement with the fans. During filming they are not allowed to take pictures or get autographs otherwise they will be asked to leave.

Zai Zai, not knowing Japanese, would only smile to greet his Japanese fans. Zai Zai thinks that he has fate with Japan. The majority of the dramas he has acted in are adapted from popular Japanese mangas like “Meteor Garden” and “Poor Prince.” The first time Zai Zai takes a plane out of the country, the destination is also Japan. For the filming of “Meteor Garden I,” when he had the chance he would learn some Japanese so that he can communicate with local fans.

[03.03.04] Zaizai denies F4 will split and hopes for a Hong Kong F4 concert

Posted: March 2, 2004

Zaizai was interviewed by some Hong Kong program:

He likes to sing and act.
He likes to work with other F4 members.
For one, he does not have to sing too much.
Also, it is very lonely to work by himself.

Unfortunately his schedule in 2004 is already very full,
so at present time there is no plan to appear together as F4.

It is not good to always depend on others;
the four of them eventually have to be on their own.

Asked if this means F4 will split?
He immediately denies it.
He also says that he earnestly hopes that F4 can hold concerts again.
The top choice location would be Hong Kong
for Hong Kong fans were most enthusiastic in their last concert tour.
He would very much like to experience it once again.
