ZZ Admires Jerry and Envious of Vanness

His legs are shorter than Jerry's but ZZ says that he's admires Jerry, who had a chance to work with his idol Sammi. He's also envious of Vanness, who got his hair cut short for <>, he wants to shave his head clean and compete with Vanness to see whose' the shortest.

ZZ has just been to Singapore for his <> promotion and it was obvious that he has lost weight. At the press conference, Sony prepared a cake for him to congratulate him on selling 500 000 copies in Asia. At the same time, they let Zz write "2" on the cake to indicate the sales in Singapore.

In terms of albums, ZZ is in the lead compared to the other F3. But when it comes to movies, Jerry, Ken and Vanness have all released their first movie, only ZZ is left. He is not worried though ,saying: "Slowly...not to worry." However, when Jery was working with idol Sammi, ZZ says: "Jerry worked with Sammi, i want to do that too. I must find a chance!"

ZZ says that he does not get a say in who his female lead will be but if he could choose, it would definitely be Sammi. "I really like her, it's that simple, I'm pretty simple...hehe." He continued to say: "I like Sammi's movies, listen to her songs and everytime I go to KTV, I would sing her songs." He then started promotion for his idol saying that all her songs are very good.

After admiring Jerry, ZZ gets jealous of Vanness. He says: "Jealous of his short hair. If need be, I would be like Andy and shave my head bald...then we compete!" ZZ points out that his movie is under negotiations but he would like to act as someone with multiple personality splits: "Better if he's crazy, hard to handle, that way, there more challenge."

ZZ's popularity is really great, even 50 year olds come to see him after lying to her husband and lined up at J8 with little girls. When she got ZZ's autograph, she was very happy.

The scene at J8 was just full of people, all coming to see ZZ and get his autograph. Some even lined up for a whole week. Of them is a 50 year old F4 fan. She said that she has seen everything and heard everything produced by F4 and started lining up 2 days ago with her co-workers. When she got ZZ's signature, she was all smiles: "It's worth it, everything is worth it. Even if i was pushed and shoved and very tired...ah...this is probably the stupidest thing I have ever done. But it's definitely worth it. Does her husband know? She smiles and says: "Not telling him! He would kill me...haha!"

She says that her 28 year old daughter introduced her to F4, but she refuses to give her autographed album to her daughter: "It's my treasured collection. I just love F4 after watching MG."

She compliments F4 from head to toe, saying they are like fireworks when together and each have their own speciality: "I hope ZZ keeps on working hard, jia you, and F4 will unite again to film MG3!"

Why does F4 attract her? She says: "From a mother's perspective, ZZ is very cute, easy to love; Jerry seems very ke lian! They are like my songs, very lovable and I don't have any sons anyway!"

What you fans wanted to know, TNP asked

Dying to ask me something? Hao!

LAST week, The New Paper offered a rare opportunity to Vic Zhou’s fans by promising to ask him their burning questions when the F4 star came to town to promote his second album, Remember I Love You.

And my, were we bombarded: We received more than 100 questions, some from fans in the region who read the online version of our paper.

Receiving even more phenomenal response was his album, which has sold over 500,000 copies Asia-wide including 20,000 copies here.

When we told Vic we’d be asking him questions from his fans, the dreamy star perked up and responded with a resounding “hao!” (good).

So, here are some your questions answered:

If your newly-attached girlfriend were to fall in to the water together with a long-time female fan, who would you save first?

Vic: (frowns) That’s so hard! Er, er, I’ll just have to jump in with them, so I won’t offend either one! Anyway, the weather is so hot, so a swim would be nice.

Why do you always get babes to star in your music videos? Do fans have a chance too?

Because my company wants my music videos to be picture perfect and more dreamy. Fans have a chance too. Some of my co-stars are my fans. Who says I can’t have model fans (laughs)?

You have a new song, Mama Says. Do you listen to everything your mum says?

Only the good things (laughs)! I’m all grown up so I can tell what’s right and wrong. My parents have always given us a lot of freedom. Luckily, my brother and I never went astray. Unless my mum says, “I need more allowance”, then I’ll have to do something.

Who would you say Remember I Love You to?

My wife, my girlfriend… but that’s in the future, lah.

Are you happier now than during your pre-showbiz days?

Before joining showbiz, I was a carefree student. Life was simple and happy then. Now I have a lot more on my mind, so I’m not as happy. So what I’d do is to tease everyone else around me until they explode in laughter, and that makes me happy.

If you can exchange your fame for something you don’t already have, what would you want?

To be an ordinary person whom nobody knows. Then I can hold my girlfriend’s hand and we can go shopping (smiles with a dreamy look in his eyes).

Will you quit showbiz for love?

That’s not necessary, lah. I’ll just fade out and slowly enjoy the romance. There’s no need to quit.

Tell us the truth about your new rumoured girlfriend, Xu Weilun, who was caught with you in a night club!

My love life is a blank. Really, the mere mention of it makes me sad (chuckles). As for Weilun, we went to a pub to drink tea and chat with seven to eight friends.

Rainie (Yang) and Brian (Zheng) were also there, but the paparazzi just took a picture of Weilun and me, and wrote that we had an affair in some night club. That’s hilarious! It’s just a friends’ gathering.

What do you think of all those fans who started queueing for your autograph session here a week in advance?

I’m thankful to them, but isn’t it still Chinese New Year? Why are they still wasting their time? Why not go out with parents or friends instead? Maybe next time we can try a new method, say queueing by number?

What is ideal fan behaviour to you?

You can chase me, but don’t go overboard. Like when I go home, I’d like to have some privacy. I don’t wish to see fans loitering outside. Seeing the paparazzi is already a big headache.

Do you think you can continue to stay in showbiz without these fans who keep chasing you?

I don’t object to fans chasing me, but I don’t need them to imagine me as their boyfriend or husband. I’d advise them to face up to reality. That’s just their dream. It’s impossible.

Which part of your body is out of bounds to fans?

Shaking hands is okay, but if fans try to hug me, I’d feel scared.

What kind of behaviour in a girl turns you off?

When she tries to attract attention by talking very loudly or doing exaggerated gestures (flaps his arms in deomostration). That’s not cute at all.

Which part of the female anatomy attracts you?

I can only see the face, hands and legs. It’s weird to look at someone’s legs first, so I guess, the face. No need to be pretty. It’s the eyes that I’ll notice, if they’re bright and clear.

What makes you cry? When was the last time you cried?

I just cried last Friday. Any trivial thing can make me tear, like if I see a lonely old man or a pitiful kid. I’ll keep thinking about them and the tears will just flow. I’m just too sentimental (sighs).

When will you and the other F4 guys(Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu and Ken Zhu all of whom shot to fame after starring in the drama Meteor Garden) work together again?

We definitely will, but you many have to wait. I like working with the three of them. We have a great time together.

When is it your turn to make a movie?

The other three have all made their own movies. Mine will take some time. My company is still in discussion. If I can choose, I’d play a schizophrenic character. My lead actress? Jerry got to work with Sammi Cheng, and I wish I can too (laughs with a hint of longing in his voice). Why? Because I like her. I like her acting and her songs. I’d sing her songs when I visit karaokes!

Will you cut your hair for a role, like Vanness did in his movie, Star Runner?

Vanness looks so suave with his new short hair! I’m so jealous! (Laughs) Maybe I should emulate Andy Lau and shave my head ? Then I can challenge Vanness to see whose hair is shorter!

Will you do an English song soon?

(Vic chokes with laughter)…Not very likely. It’d probably take me a long time to record, like five years maybe? I did learn English in school, but it’s all very basic.

Will you sign with a new company if it offers you a lot of money?

No. For me, it’s very simple. If I feel my company takes good care of me, I’ll sign on. I wont’ negotiate of better terms.

Other than songs and dramas, what’s the best thing you can give to your fans

Can’t think of anything else…

Can you give your e-mail address?

No! (laughs)

Vic Secrets

F4's shy guy, Vic Chou, tells of wearing boxers to sleep and wanting to tie the knot before he's 30

Tuesday • February 3, 2004

ANDY Chou. Andy Chou Yu-min. Like it or not, that almost was the name you'd be idolising today.

Well, it turned out that his agent did not like it … and gave him a new name, Vic.

"Before I stepped into showbiz, I already had an English name, Andy. You know, the same one as Wa Zai," the F4 member said, referring to Hong Kong actor-singer Andy Lau by his nickname. "But too many people were named Andy, so my agent picked a new one for me."

The Prince Charming from Taiwan appeared at Bishan Junction 8 on Saturday to promote his second solo album Remember … I Love You and ended the long wait of 6,000 fans, some of whom had been in the queue for a week. He spent more than two hours signing autographs for them.

Earlier, at an interview with Today, Vic proved he's more than capable of churning out goose-pimples-inducing ballads.

Once dubbed the shyest member of the F4 quartet, he — of the floppy hair, chiselled good looks and goofy smile — came out of his shell (like Jerry Yen did two weeks ago) and showed his chatty side.

"I used to be afraid of speaking my mind. I'm worried that my views will be distorted. But three years on in showbiz now, I think there's no need to hold myself back."

And let it all out he did … including why he doesn't envy international gongfu star Jackie Chan.

Vic Chou: Ah, an English newspaper. Let's do the interview in English then!

Today: Surrree … why not?

Vic (in Mandarin): I'm just joking. My English sucks, really. Schools in Taiwan have only introduced conversational English lessons these few years. Students are generally afraid of speaking English, you know.

Today: What's the most embarrassing encounter the language has brought you?

Vic: The common ones would be when foreigners ask for road directions in Taipei. But nothing beats my encounter on a working trip to Los Angeles recently.

The customs officer at the airport had asked to see my "GPR". I was simply stunned. What GPR? Only after 10 minutes of wrangling later did I realise he actually meant "ji piao" (Mandarin for air ticket). He's a foreigner trying too hard to impress with his Mandarin. What a waste of time!

Today: Did you ever ask F4's Ken Chu or Vanness Wu to teach you English?

Vic: I've only picked up a few words from them. They're not English teachers after all. They are very busy people.

Today: A Zai Zai pyjamas comes free with the purchase of your second solo album. Do you have the habit of going to bed in pyjamas?

Vic: I do, but only if the weather is cold. Most of the time, I just wear boxers. Checkered ones — not those with cutesy smiley faces, okay? (laughs) I'm not so cute, lah.

Today: Your vital statistics 37-29-36 are posted all over your fan sites. Are you embarrassed by it?

Vic: (Laughs) I'm not a girl, so I guess that's alright. So long as some things are not seen. But I'd prefer to have broader shoulders, like those of Vanness and Jerry.

Today: Tell us. Since your album's titled Remember … I Love You, when's the last time you said "I love you" to your girlfriend?

Vic: That's when I was 17 … to my fifth girlfriend. I hope my sixth one will come soon. I mean I'm a normal man. I need love's nourishment, you know! I hope to get married before I hit 30.

Today: Why?

Vic: Because I want to see my grandchildren when I'm still young, and still have the energy to play with them.

Today: Ah, the Singapore government will be pleased to make you their poster boy. People here are not too keen to have babies.

Vic: What a pity! Kids are so adorable. I hope to have at least two — a boy and a girl.

Today: By the way, have you heard of our Chingay Parade rolling out in another three hours (at time of interview)?

Vic: Yes, I've heard about it. I'll love to catch it too, but I've to go for an autograph-signing session.

Today: Jackie Chan will be taking part in it. He'd be waving from the float, you know? Given a chance, would you like to do it too?

Vic: Wow, is he? But I'd rather be at my autograph session. Not only can I wave to my fans, I can even shake their hands!

400 fans uses body to stop car

400 fans coming from 5 countries, Singapore,Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Phillipines crazily went to the airport to recieve Zaizai and used their bodies to stop the car.

F4 member, Vic Zhou, yesterday arrived in Singapore early to do promo for his new album, Remember I Love You.

Being not touching in Singapore for 2 years, the warmth that fans give did not decrease and was just like when he came the last time.

From what was known, there was not only Singapore and Malaysia fans at the airport yesterday. There were also fans from Thailand, Indonesia and Phillipines.

Overseas Fans, As Crazy Too

Although these fans were in smaller numbers, their level of craziness did not lose out to local fans.

All these fans from Thailand, Phillipines and Indonesia not only jump through the barricadges, they even used their bodies to stop the car from going off.

OnlyF4 's fan, Cai Yi Fang (joey91) (quality assurance officer) said, "Although fans from Singapore are crazy, these fans from Thailand, Indonesia and Phillipines are even more scary.!"

In order to get near to Zaizai, all of them risk their lives and jumped into the barricadges. While some others tried to use their bodies to stop the car from going after Zaizai mounted the car. Luckily the car have not started.

She mentioned that although local fans are crazy, when there are police maintaining order, they would not go overboard. It was all these overseas fans who were very brave.

Mom caused his bad pronouncation

Recently, lots of people have been praising Zaizai that he got better in talking, and have stop making mistakes in his Chinese pronouncation. Never would we know Zaizai would turn the light on his mother, "It's all my mother's fault."

Zaizai explained, "My pronouncation improve maybe because i have started living in Taipei for a longer time, thus my pronouncation have become clearer. There was once when i went home, and listen to my mom speaking, and realised it was all my mom's fault! I was still blaming myself last time. However, i listened to my mother speaking from young, thus i have become like that after listening to her for long.

Going 3 ways to support Zaizai

Zaizai's fans was very coporative in order to support him.

Fanclub OnlyF4 's fan, Cai Yi Fang(joey91) told us that fans who were at the airport to recieve Zaizai was actually a small portion of fans.

She said, " That's because Zaizai changed his flight during the last minute. He was actually supposed to take a BR flight at Terminal 1 but was changed to a SQ flight at Terminal 2.

Some fans told their cabs to go rounds outside the airport. Some thought it was too difficult to chase, thus made their way straight to his hotel or Autograph Session Set, Junction 8.

Cai Yi Fang (joey91) said, " We spilt ourselves into 3 groups, some to recieve Zaizai at the airport, some waiting at his hotel while some are queuing at Junction 8."

Van surronded with curtains

Zaizai's car was surronded with curtains while fans worried for his safety.

Miss Cai said that the car that Zaizai sat was surronded with curtains on both left , right and back. Other than the little glass window at the driver's seat, even the front was covered up.

Zaizai admites, "Envys Jerry Yan & Jealous of Vanness Wu

Legs were shorter than Jerry's, thousand fans star, Vic Zhou said, idol, Sammi was "taken" by Jerry first, and he envys! He is also jealous with Vanness for dropping his hair for Star Runner. He says he has got to cut off all his hair to compare the shortness with Vanness !

When Zaizai came to Singapore do his promo for Remember I Love U , it was obvious that Zaizai have grown slimmer. At the press conference, his record company prepared a cake for him. It was to help celebrate the 500,000 sales throughout Asia and also to allow Zaizai to draw the "2" on his own cake for the local sales digit to be aunnoced to the media first.

Talking about album, Zaizai is first in leading in the other F3. However, in the movie section, Jerry, Ken and Vanness were the ones who offered their virgin movies first, while Zaizai lose out a little. Regarding this, he was not at all afraid and even said, " This can be slower.."

However, when mentioning about Jerry and Sammi, Zaizai answered with envy, "Jerry worked with Sammi, and i would love to too ! I would be looking for oppournitys!"

Zaizai said fliming a movie would never allow him to pick a opposite partner. But, if he were to choose, he would choose Sammi Cheng, " I like her alot, i think it's innocent? haha.."

He continued to say, " I love her shows and listen to her songs. Whenever i go KTV with crew workers, i would dedicate her songs to sing" Then, he started to help do advertisments for his idols by mentioning about some songs that he liked.

After finishing his envy for Jerry, he said he was jealous of Vanness for dropping his long hair for Star Runner. He said, " I really envy his short hair. If there is a need, i would cut off everything just like WahZai(Andy Lau), and compare the shortness with Vanness !"

Zaizai commented that the company have been discussing about his movie works and the best role that he wants is to be a Ren Ge Fen Lie character. " It's best if it is a little crazy, not allowing others to catch it, then it'll be more challenging."

He would also be fliming the drama Mars , edited from the manga soon. It's rumoured that he's paid 1 million for each episode and this caused other F4's jealousy, saying Cai Zhi Ping to be biased.

Article from The Straits Times, 2 Feb 2004

About a boy
He may be the youngest member of Taiwan pop group F4, but Vic Chou is no baby when it comes to handling the press and showbiz

By Foong Woei Wan

PERHAPS you've heard this about Vic Chou: That he is so dumb he doesn't know all the four lines of Li Bai's Jing Ye Si or Quiet Night Thoughts, a simple poem which most Chinese-speaking children can recite at the drop of a hat.

But the truth is, if you look past the pop-star packaging, the shy schoolboy manner and the giggling bouts, you will see a budding wit.

Meeting reporters from the region at Four Seasons Hotel last Saturday, he was asked if he was more wenzhong (Mandarin for mature) after three years in showbiz.

His answer was a deft pun: 'I have become more zhong (heavy). I don't know if it makes me more wen (steady) or not.'

At 22, he is the baby of Taiwan's super pop quartet F4 - the others are Jerry Yen, 27; Vanness Wu, 25; and Ken Chu, 25 - but the first to have released two solo records.

He popped by Singapore for a day to boost sales of his second CD, Remember... I Love You, which has sold 500,000 copies across Asia, including 20,000 here.

Later, at an interview with Life!, he appeared almost child-like, with two female minders by his side, as if he needed to have his hands held.

But though he studied his fingernails more than once during the 15-minute one-on-one interview like a bored schoolboy, his answers revealed he was still paying attention to the questions.

The only member of the group to juggle work with school, he was alternately serious and cheeky.

The business administration student said he was bracing himself for at least two years of compulsory military service once he completes his studies.

When will that day dawn?

'In more than a year's time, if things go smoothly,' he said. Then, he teased: 'Do you want to ask me what if things don't go smoothly?'

ACCIDENTAL CELEBRITY

WOULD his army stint would spell the end of F4, you ask. 'I'm not worried about this. When I'm in the army, they can call themselves F3. It makes no difference,' he says.

BOOT CAMP: Chou is bracing himself for compulsory military service after his studies.
No doubt, female fans like 20-year-old undergraduate Elaine Lee, who had queued for days to attend his autograph-signing session at Junction 8 last Saturday (see other story), would disagree.

Referring to her idol by his nickname, the member of the fan club Only F4 said: 'Zaizai is very, very gorgeous, gentle and good at getting laughs. It won't be F4 without him, but we will wait for him.'

Born Chou Yu-min in Ilan, a county on Taiwan's east coast, the singer is the younger of two sons of a divorced couple.

He was accompanying a female friend to an audition for the television series Meteor Garden when producer Angie Chai noticed him instead.

At first, he declined to go for a screen test. 'I wasn't confident about speaking,' said Chou. But his family talked him into trying, and he was cast in the show, alongside Yen, Wu and Chu.

In 2001, the series shot them to superstardom, and the rest is F4 history.

Sheepishly, Chou confessed that he has not been in touch with the friend, but denied that it was because she failed the audition. 'It's because I'm busy, and both of us have different things going on,' he said.

Meanwhile, he has found new friends in showbiz, including Meteor Garden co-star Barbie Hsu and Love Storm co-star Hsu Wei-lun.

Barbie Hsu is his sworn sister, while he has been linked with Hsu Wei-lun, whose boyfriend is Lee Wei, one half of pop duo WeWe.

As expected, Chou denied the romance, saying she was just a 'bosom buddy'.

THE PRICE OF FAME: The queue (above) to meet Chou at Junction 8 stretched all the way to Bishan Street 13 (below). -- LIANHE ZAOBAO
He added that he looked forward to reuniting with Barbie Hsu for a series called Mars, and playing a schizophrenic in it.

Meteor Garden director Tsai Yueh-hsun is also involved in the new show, which is likely to air later this year.

On working again with Tsai and the rest of his staff, Chou said: 'I like the feeling of a big family. I don't like getting to know strangers. It's too much trouble. With the same team, we can skip the beginning steps and get into the groove of filming quickly.'

RESTAURATEUR AFTER SHOWBIZ?

STARTING out as an accidental star, the country boy had not taken well to moving to Taipei. 'It was too crowded, and the pace was too fast. Everyone spoke too perfectly,' he said.

Taipei natives used to mock his poor Mandarin pronunciation - he has been known to say chuang (bed) when he means chuan (boat) - but he has learned to laugh at himself.

Ironically, he sounds more like a Taipei native these days, while his Taipei friends sound more like his former self. 'One day there will be an equilibrium,' he joked.

Though he once spoke of retirement, Chou said: 'I don't think of that any more. Still, I don't ask for much in this scene. If one day, I feel it is enough, I will fade out and focus on other businesses, like opening a restaurant.'

Whether the queues at the restaurant will beat the 5,000-strong turnout at his autograph-signing session in Singapore remains to be seen.

1/30 Taipei Autograph Session

[VIEW PICTURE]

The already packed Taipei international shu zhan once again meets with handsome Zai Zai Vic Zhou, who went for an autograph session. It was jam-packed, totally out of control. The staff members urged Zai Zai to elect the president because they believe this is surely “dong suan.”

Zai Zai was on the cover page of January’s magazines. Doesn’t matter how busy his travel route is, he has to find time to go to Taipei international shu zhan to hold an autograph session. As expected, it brought die-hard fans. There was someone who went against the cold winds to line up during the night, wanting to be the first lucky person to get an autograph from Zai Zai. When their idol appeared, the level of the squeezing of people at the scene frightened the staff. The magazine with Zai Zai on the cover also sold out in markets.

Because this month the magazine is based on Valentine’s Day, Zai Zai, who undertook as “appointment ambassador,” brought chocolate to give to fans. He laughed and said that after you have eaten his “special” chocolate and candy, the lovers’ feeling is even sweeter. One’s without a lover will quickly find the one they are fated to be with. Of coarse, whether or not fans have lovers isn’t important, as long as Zai Zai touched it.

At the scene was also “Hong Kong Fen Si Tuan.” This crowd of fans knows that Zai Zai is about to leave for Japan to film a drama. They especially formed this group and went to Taipei for their idol and also offered warm kettles and other things that keep you warm wanting Zai Zai to take good care of himself. There was also a fan who couldn’t make it personally, gave homemade Zai Zai Prince, requesting the staff to give it to him, as an early Valentine’s Day present.

"VIC ZHOU WANTS TO BE MORE MANLY"

After being said upteen times, basically, ZZ Zhou Yu Min is always seem to be a face of laziness, eyes that is half-opened. However, just because of that look, it have 'shock' attracted many girls. In the eyes of his fans, this type of ZZ can only have one word to describe - Gorgeous.

Suddenly Having a Special Feeling

First album > has always been devoted and romantic as 2nd Album This 2nd album actually writes about a girl that have left, the male party still stubbornly awaits for his girl. New album content and style have not been changed much since 1st album. Both of the albums still uses Love Messages as topic. The only thing changed is the music bond between ZZ has grown up. That allows him to improvise and sing better.

Having a face with beard is MANLY

After 2years, ZZ felt that he became more matured. Last time, the lyrics of his songs in Make A Wish are simple. Even a kid knows what is it about. However, this time theres much improvement. He thinks it as a development process to maturity. From the very first album, it included calender of himself and a pillow case. This time, it came out with a Vic Zhou calender again, but a lovely ZZ pyjamas. That will bring warmth to his fans when sleeping. Also, ZZ has been always that cheerful, cute and child-like faced. And because of that, he was known as a Female-'Killer'

After 7 months of quiting smoking

Because of Meteor Garden, F4 and ZZ became very famous and hot in Asia, ZZ ádopt'many fans. However, ZZ's bad habit of smoking is too strong, and also a habit of drinking. Often, he kept himself in one corner and gathered all his friends. Due to carelessness, this images of him were captured by many reporters known as ''Gos-Buster". Things you don’t know about Vic

IF YOU think you know F4’s most bubbly member, Vic Zhou, you might be in for a few surprises.

The Meteor Garden star, who will be dropping by in Singapore this Saturday for a whirlwind promotional tour, isn’t quite the two-dimensional manga (Japanese comic) character he played on the teen drama.

Here are eight things that might raise your brow about the 22-year-old.”

Vic can cook. His specialty dish is omelette rice. He likes his omelette stuffed with “lots and lots of rice”, so that he can eat till he’s full.

He’s a speed demon. The fastest he’s gone down a road is 18kmh, in a matter of seconds. But he does it the safe and legal way – on the racetrack.

If he weren’t an actor-singer, he would’ve liked to be a archaeologist because he firmly believes there are dinosaur bones buried under the mountains in his hometown, Yilan.

He’s nicknamed Zai Zai (Hokkien slang for little child) not only because he’s the youngest in his family, but also because he was a big baby. Born at an above-average weight of 3.7kg, he was named Zai Zai by his grandmother. It’s short for Zhu Zai (Mandarin for piglet).

He’s an online gaming fanatic who goes by the Mandarin nickname Gua Yu or loosely translated as “having few desires”.

He has two small scars near his belly button. One is due to appendicits, and the other because he sneaked out to play basketball before the old wound healed.

He started smoking at 18m, but quit last year, because “I want to give birth to a health child”. Now the anti-smoking ambassador for a trust fund in Taiwan urges others to follow suit.

He’s often seen as a gentle, mild-mannered guy, but Vic insists that he’s the chivalrous sort who will save you from a fall regardless of his own safety.

1/28 ZZ or Lee Wei? Who's Xu Wei Lun's love?

During Chinese New Year, Zai Zai Vic Zhou, Xu Wei Lun and others gathered at a pub. Photos were taken of Zai Zai and Xu Wei Lun sitting together. When rumors of Zai Zai and Xu Wei Lun started to spread the record company circle also passed on that Lee Wei, who puts work above all, and Xu Wei Lun’s feelings have become weak. Who is Xu Wei Lun’s love? Zai Zai or Lee Wei? Xu Wei Lun, in the spotlight through her manager Sun Fu Hua expressed, “Zai Zai is a good friend, Lee Wei is also a good friend.”

Is Zai Zai chasing after Lee Wei’s girlfriend Xu Wei Lun? Zai Zai, who went back to his hometown Yi Lan for the holiday, especially cleared things up. He said that he and Xu Wei Lun are good friends. However, he is very aware that Xu Wei Lun has a boyfriend. “Even if I’m anymore stupid, I wouldn’t go touch this piece,” Zai Zai explained.

After breaking up with his previous girlfriend, who worked at a make-up shop, Zai Zai hasn’t dated for more than a year. During his new album’s “Remember I Love You” press conference, he expressed to the public that he really wants to be in love and also that he started practicing the guitar. Going to a gathering at a pub with Xu Wei Lun, is this because Zai Zai has feelings towards her? Zai Zai’s broker Zhi Xiang Li said that he was also at the pub that night. In fact there was also Wallace Zheng, Rainie Yang and other friends. “It’s because everyone has worked together before, becoming friends. Why not talk about Wallace and Rainie? Why only about Zai Zai and Xu Wei Lun?” Zhi Xiang Li doesn’t understand the target of the rumor. Why does it have to be directed towards Zai Zai? He also helped Zai Zai complain.

Lee Wei, who just came back from an overseas concert, radiantly reported to his broker, Qiu Xiu Zhu about his overseas concert. As for the rumor crisis about Xu Wei Lun and Zai Zai going to a pub together, Lee Wei didn’t mention it much. Qiu Xiu Zhu said, “Perhaps he knows that I don’t really like him being in love. He rarely talks to me about love matters, but I can tell that he puts work first, indifferent with Xu Wei Lun.”

Qiu Xiu Zhu boasted, “His strongest point is that he doesn’t go to pubs. He’s very aware that’s he’s an idol. He understands that many actions require self-control.” Qiu Xiu Zhu expressed that Lee Wei and Lin You Wei, this “WEWE” pair, after splitting for more than a year; within this year WEWE will be together again. The two “wei’s” will be hitting the road together.

1/27 ZZ rides motorcycle, fears Da S will get hurt

After Zai Zai, Vic Zhou, is done passing his New Year?s he will be meeting a new challenge. In his new idol drama ?Mars,? which will start filming soon, he will portray 5 roles. In fact not only will he ride a heavy-duty motorcycle in this new drama, but he will also expose a large back view, ZZ has new class work to do.

Even though it?s also adapted from a Japanese manga like ?Meteor Garden? and ?Poor Prince? the content of this new drama, ?Mars,? isn?t the same as ordinary idol dramas. ZZ, who has already pass K progenitor before, seriously said, ?This isn?t the average girl manga, there are many scenes with personality splits. Moreover, I have to portray 5 different roles. Right now when I have the time I would hurriedly read psychology books and watch movies with plots that contain personality splits.?

?Mars? will start filming early February. The male lead is Zai Zai and female lead is his buddy Da S. Not only is this film different from his previous ones, first of all, Zai Zai will have to take on the challenge of riding a heavy-duty motorcycle. He said, ?I?m not worried about myself, instead I?m more worried about Miss Barbie Hsu.?

?I will ride motorcycle 125, but the heavy-duty motorcycle in the drama needs to make records, so I can seek to learn a bit.? In the drama Zai Zai gets to drive Da S with a heavy-duty motorcycle. It?s supposed to be a very mistral drama but Zai Zai expressed, ?I?ve already talked with Da S earlier, if I yell jump then you have to jump. I?m very afraid of her role in drama. It would be a waste if parts of the plots were cut in the end.?

In ?Mars,? Zai Zai has a few scenes where he exposes his back, in accordance to the plot, exposing his muscles. However Zai Zai?s back ?is the same as the average man, has no muscles,? he frankly admitted. Therefore he took advantage of the time he had before the drama starts filming to at once get some muscles to emerge.

Zai Zai complained, ?Before, when studying we participated in the tian jing team. After coming to Taipei, becoming a public character, campaigns have become inconvenient.? The doctor also told him that humpback could be caused by no growth of back muscle.? Besides revealing his back, will there be any other parts exposed in the drama? Before Zai Zai could reply, his broker at the side immediately pointed out, ?Can?t!?

ZaiZai & Xu Wei Lun went pubbing
Zheng Yuan Chang & Yang Cheng Lin become lightbulbs

The night b4, reporter saw Zai & a lady together, the gal beside him was no other than Xu Wei Lun. At ard 10pm, Zai dressed in black sweater arrived at Organo Pub on An He Road with a group of friends. Beside him sat a lady dressed in white coat, and she's Xu Wei Lun. Besides them, Zheng Yuan Chang & Yang Cheng Lin who are filming "Zhuang Qiu Xiao Zi" with XWL are also present. Zai & XWL sat very close to one another.

According to reporter's observation, Zai was not at all shy in front of XWL, he joked & sang & made everyone laff. To take her drink on her table, XWL often lean over to Zai's direction but Zai does not seem to mind. When XWL & Yang Cheng Lin are chatting, Zai will immediately be quiet & listen carefully. These interactions & them seated closely to each other cause pple to doubt if they are only friends.

The nite b4 was XWL's 1st day of work after the Chinese New Year. And that nite, she chose to meet up with Zai instead of Lee Wei, causes one to wonder....
"U really think too much. Zai & I became good friends after filming LoveStorm. We often go out in a grp to eat, sing etc, nothing to bother abt. She said it's common for friends to meet up, and there are other people present too, not only Zai & her."

Zai's manager Zhi Xiang Li expressed that he was also present tat day. There was also many other artises including Zheng Yuan Chang & Yang Cheng Lin etc. He said: "Everyone was taking this opportunity to meet up and have dinner together. There's nothing wrong for good frens to meet. The media shouldn't place the limelight on Zai & XWL.

1/25 ZAIZAI's NEW YEAR BREAK OVER NOW...To start filming MARS

Everyone returns home for the New Year's. However, ZZ has a home but cannot return to it. The popular idol ZZ is followed by fans wherever he goes. ZZ was planning to go back to Yi Lan for the New Year's but fans found out and planned to go there to see their idol. So instead, ZZ's father went to Taipei. How much money does ZZ put into the red envelopes? He laughingly said,"Dad and mom's have 5 digits, both having the same amount, very fair." ZZ has already started working, besides dad and mom he also gave him big brother a red envelope but not as much as his parents. After eating tuan yuan (it's when your whole family gets together and have dinner...) dinner, ZZ drove his mother southwards. ZZ said that his family is democratic (i think) after the dinner you can go anywhere. As long as they are happy since it's New Year's. Today is the last day of ZZ's New Year break. He especially rented "Dou Zhen Ju Le Bu" DVD. He expressed that this homework given to him by the director of "Mars." He wrote "chun" for the New Years for luck. His letters were very beautifully written. He says something about his signature and how it's hard for others to copy it.

1/25 ZZ wants to give hongbaos to grandchildren

[VIEW PICTURE]

Zaizai, who is 23 years old this year, new year's wish is to have a family before 28 years old. So that he could give out hongbaos* during the new year , carrying his grandchildren at early age and 3 generations gathered together.

Before he step into the entertainment circle, his desired age to get married was actually 25 years old, after getting married he would give birth to kids and get them to get married quickly too, so that all the 3 generations can be together.

Zaizai said," I hope that my children's age wont be of a big gap with me, the nearer the better, so that we can look like brothers. This way, we can go out to play together and not worry about the generation gap. In fact, i love giving out hongbaos, to share my joy together with others."

Ever since he join the entertainment circle, he did not even have time to go dating, thus , his plan to get married got pushed over 3 years. However, Zaizai was very happy that the custom in Taiwan was that, anyone who was working was considered an adult. Therefore, hongbaos have to be given to parents during new year.

When asked how much he have given his parents, Zaizai replied in a michevious way, " It's won't be very good to say it out. But, aniway, it's a very very big one that can buy lots and lots of things." Other than giving hongbaos to his parents, he also gave them to all the crew members around him as to encourage himself of the 1 year of hard work that he have been working for.

Recently, in order to promote his new album continously, Zaizai fell ill, causing fans to be very heartbroken. His manager granted him 4 days of leave this time for this new year. Zaizai had actually wanted to go back to Yilan to acompany his father. However, when he know that lots of fans was waiting for him there, he decided to stay in Taipei to rest as not to disturb his dad.

Other than Zaizai who was on holiday, all the other F3 were on holiday too. Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu were all taking time to accompany their family . Although the four of them didn't meet up during this new yr, they still used the phone and sms to congratulate each other during this new year. And zaizai added in his sms, "Remember to leave a huge hongbao for me!"

1/20 ZZ can't go on trip with family due to promos

Zai Zai, (Zhou Yu Min) whose hometown is Yi Lan, just happened to release his new album during the news years. Since he is busy promoting, his New Year's wish will not be granted.

Originally, during New Years Zai Zai was hoping to bring his family on a trip overseas. But because his new album was released, he is currently busy publicizing so he is forced to stay in Taiwan. Before, Zai Zai went racing, he prepared New Years picture frames wishing fans can 'wan shi heng tong hao yun dao' (wishing them prosperity and good luck) during their New Years vacation.

Zai Zai said that if there is time during the New Year, he would also go to the competition racing track to 'cool' a bit from the swift feeling of speed. However is also worried that if fans know about his whereabouts they won't stop chasing him.

F4 QUESTIONS OF THE MOMENT ANSWERED BY DAVID HUANG

by prettyjupiter

F4 Friends United first ever Get Together yesterday, January 19, was a huge success not only because of it's growing official members base but also because of the presence of David Huang, F4FU's contact to the F4 management, Fulong. David Huang is one of the people responsible for bringing Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou and ASOS for the Happy 50 TV concert and Barbie Xu's recent visit to the country for the Pantene promo.

He answered the questions that has been bugging F4 fans as of late and here are his answers...

Q1: Is it true that Vanness Wu is in LA and is working on his 2nd album?

A: Vanness is preparing his second album right now, but i don't know where he is exactly at the moment. But I believe he is in China and he will be back in Taiwan next week for the Chinese New Year. Because during the Chinese New Year, we usually have parties so they will most definitely be invited to go to Taiwan for the TV shows. As far as I know he is in China working on projects, for endorsements. Of course whatever they will release I will get the information on the products first. Whatever they release we can get it first thing they do it because their management will inform me and I will deliver it for you.

Q2: Are there going to be any F4 concerts here in the Philippines this Year?

A: Actually right now we are planning for Bangkok first hopefully at the end of February or March. But in the Philippines of course there would still be one, all 4 of them together in a concert. Probably in May. About Yamaha, let me tell you about Yamaha, they wont join in sponsoring the concert. We know, my company because we are the ones approaching the agencies, the one's proposing to them. We are working out things for May or June but it's not just because of Yamaha. They might be opting for a press conference. I'm not saying that it's not possible but they will not take charge of the concert. But maybe F4 will endorse products like Yamaha and come for a press conference like what happened to Barbie with Pantene. But not yet immediately for the concerts. For a concert you have to plan it for 1-2 months. We were thinking first in March but the planning is much too rushed, so we plan to hold it in May or June because we don't want to make the concert no good. We want it to be like the Happy 50TV concert. So we still have a lot of planning to do.

Q3: Is it possible for Vic Zhou to have an Album promo and Autograph signing her in the Philippines? And will they have a concert in Taipei on the 25th?

A: I can answer the 2 questions when i get back to Taiwan this week. I can ask the question to them personally. But seriously All I'm sure of is that they will be back in Taiwan for the TV shows, but I don't think it will be a concert, but they will defintely be back for the Taiwan Chinese New Year. But it might not be a concert, probably just guestings because F4 is under one big TV group, Asia Plus, the mother company of their management Fulong. About the album of Vic, that is under Sony Music arrangement. Sony Music is trying to invite Vic to come over here to do those things but there is no deal yet because right now Vic is still very busy promoting his album in Taiwan.

(note: during the Get Together, David announces later after a phone call that Sony Music Phil is trying to work out a deal with Fulong and they are targeting Jan 30-Feb 8 for Vic's Promo. Hopefully things will push through ^-^)

Q4: Is it true that Vanness will be hosting the MTV Asia Music Awards with Michelle Branch?

(note: A resource person from the group with contacts in MTV helped David answer this question)

A: There were talks with Vanness' management and he was supposed to host the show. Unfortunately the negotiation is on hold right now due to some unexpected problems on both sides. Hopefully talks will resume soon and we will definitely inform you as soon as there is a final answer.

Q5: Is Ken really working on his album?

A: Yes. He is. That's why he is not very visible at the moment. He wants to concentrate on it. Hopefully he will be doing a project here SOON.

Final Words from David: I cannot answer all your questions right now as I am not a staff of Fulong BUT i can get information from them easily. They will give me assistance. But we can help them create a project over here, for example, Vic, he has something new, my group can help bring him here, arrange it and that's why i always say F4 Friends United we can make things possible and think of a project we can do together so we can see F4 here often too. That's why i want F4 Friends United to grow so that we can make all the F4 projects we want possible.

Translation of Online Chat with ZaiZai [ 011504/8-9:30pm]

Rose: We have this fan here wishing that you'll pass your exams tomorrow.
ZZ: Thanks!

Rose: This is weird. Someone here is asking "Zai Zai did you take a bath? " Why would someone ask a question like that? (HAHA this was asked by moi! I was just trying to get his attention.. ehem.. explanation will follow...)
ZZ: Hm.. that question is weird...

Rose: Someone's asking if you'll be going to HongKong.
ZZ: I think the management has plans for me to promote my album abroad. But I think it will have to wait after chinese new year.

Rose: Someone's telling you to be careful not to get too fat!
ZZ: Yeah, I get fat whenever I get extra time to rest. (blah blah.. sorry wasn't able to get what he said .. the host mentioned about Ken losing weight.. and zz mention the last time they went to the
philippines.. oh noh... the girls started to scream so i can't hear what he's saying hehe..)

Rose: There are quite a lot of Filipino fans here tonight with us.
ZZ: Oh? Hallo!!

Rose: ZaiZai have you start filming "Zhan Shen"? Have you read the script?
(Sorry didn't hear the reply)

Rose: ZaiZai can tell a joke?
ZZ: (thinks hard..) Hm.. I don't think I can think of any right now. I have to prepare.

Rose: The messages are scrolling too fast. Can you see their messages? What's your vision? Are you near sighted?
ZZ: No. I'm not near sighted actually. But sometimes when the light is not bright, I do have a hard time seeing. But I guess my vision is
good by nature. Maybe..

Rose: Oh, someone says here that because last time when you guested at Tao Zi's show, you mentioned that you didn't take a bath for a week.
ZZ: Oh yeah. That was a challenge I did when I was in junior high. I was just bored (or walang magawa) that I thought of such crazy idea. I tried to know up to what extent can I tolerate by not taking a bath and shampooing my hair. It lasted for a week! (yep.. that is why I asked him that weird question.. patawa lang he said he did that challenge
during summertime... during that period, he also played basketball.. eeww.. ^__^)
Rose: Really? So all your friends where like saying you smell bad?
ZZ: They didn't tell me that I stink.. but I can sense that when I'm starting to speak, they're all trying to stay away from me. HAHA

(Medyo naputol...)
Rose: Now let's take a look at the pajama that comes with your album. Wow, the size is too big!
ZZ: Some of the fans said it's too small!
(sorry naputol ulit...)

Rose: Someone's asking if you have make-up today?
ZZ: Yeah. I have. I need to put on make-up because my "qi se" (color of the face) is not good lately. I'm sick these days (cough and colds). My throat is so dry.

Rose: Do you watch cartoons?
ZZ: I don't watch cartoons that much lately. But when I was little, I love to watch cartoons.

Rose: Do you take time to look at the gifts given to you by your fans?
ZZ: I do look the gifts most of the time. But it's impossible for me to open all of them. I hope the fans will understand.

Rose: Someone's asking if you have a girlfriend?
ZZ: I don't have a girlfriend now. And it's really hard to describe the ideal girl in my mind. Maybe because I'm changing as time goes by. But I can't really say what type of girls do I like. Well, it really depends. But looks is not something that attracts me. If looks is really important to me, I could have picked up any pretty girl to be my
girlfriend so that I can flaunt my girlfriend. For me, it is really the character and the heart of the person that matters most.

Rose: Someone's asking what do you plan to do after graduation?
ZZ: After graduation? Hm.. I don't know yet.

Rose: Do you intend to stay in show business?
ZZ: Hm.. I don't really plan to stay long in show business. I think if I've earned almost enough, that's about it.

Rose: What do you mean by almost enough? How many years or how much money do you think?
(sorry didn't get the answer din. But as far as I can remember, he said he'll be focusing on his own business when he quits showbiz. Before, he had plans with his brother to open a car repair shop. But his
brother became an insurance agent. So he said, maybe he'll be investing on restaurant business instead. Because he thinks that any business
related with food will be of less risk.)

Rose: How did you quit smoking? (I asked this question din. hehe.. buti nabasa niya)
ZZ: Our director in MG quit smoking a year before her daughter was born. But it turned out her daughter was born with heart ailments. And he blamed himself for not quiting earlier and that he contributed to the ailment of his daughter. Upon hearing that, I decided to quit. I told everybody that the pack of cigarettes I'm holding at that time will be my last. Although I still have lots at home. And I also told everybody to keep an eye on me and make sure that I don't smoke again. At first, they all said that I can't possibly do that. But I did stick to my word. I didn't smoke from then on. Everybody was amazed. I had the determination to quit because as you know, I plan to marry and have kids at an early age. I want to have grand children while I'm not yet too old. I can imagine that if I get married at around 30+, by the time I have my grand children, it'll be too tiring for me. So I think getting married earlier is not bad after all. It's not really too early to get married at your 20's right? Like after 25 years old.

Rose: Does your mom thinks that way too?
ZZ: My mom? I didn't ask for her opinion on this matter yet. This is really just my personal opinion. Coz my mom gives me liberty to decide
for myself.

Rose: So how old are you .. after the chinese new year? (for chinese, you get a year older after the new year, not on birthdays)
ZZ: I'm turning 23 (chinese age).

Rose: So if you plan to get married at 26 or 27 (the actual age not the chinese age coz chinese age is a year older than the actual age... uh.. did I confuse you??), it'll be like 5 more years.
ZZ: Yeah, around 5 more years. I hope lah...

Rose: Oh so you mean when you find someone by that time, it will be ok for you to get married.
ZZ: Yeah.. "man man lai" (take it slowly).. I can find someone a year before I plan to get married haha..

Rose: Oh so you mean you can get a girfriend and get married right away "Shan Tien" (which means like lightning).
ZZ: Yeah.. it can also be that way. haha

Rose: So you really did plan to get married and have children early?
ZZ: Yeah.

Rose: So this is also the reason why you decided to quit smoking?
ZZ: Yeah. And health is also important. Actually I also realized that your health gets really affected when you smoke.

Rose: Really? Now that you're not smoking anymore, your health is good?
ZZ: Actually my health is still not too good. But I recover faster. For example the first day I hit the gym and stepped on the threadmill for 20 mins, my stamina can not cope with the exercise I was doing. My face got all white (namumutla). But the 2nd day I can already run for 30 mins. So I realized that I'm starting to recover gradually. I felt good and so I decided I don't want to smoke anymore.

Rose: Oh. So to all of you out there who wants to quit smoking, did you hear that?

Rose: Someone is asking if you could sing a few lines now (live).
ZZ: Sorry but I don't think I can do that now because my throat is really painful (as in too painful).

Rose: Have some water...
ZZ: I almost drank all the water here... haha.. but I have to drink something hot, because my throat really hurts when I drink something cold.

Rose: But you can not drink something too hot either. Hm.. I didn't bring any candy now.
ZZ: I constantly eat candy (yung para sa may ubo).. but I don't know why my throat is still painful. I just went to the doctor and had an injection yesterday. Because when I woke up yesterday, just before going to work, I puked/vomitted at home. It's because of the cough I have which affected by stomach. I got better today .. I didn't puke any more but my throat is still painful.

Rose: What a pity (kawawa ka naman).. your fans must be very "xin deng" (feels bad).

ZZ was commenting that the messages scrolls way too fast. "Hao Kuai!"

Rose: Someone's asking if you'll be learning Cantonese.
ZZ: Yeah. All the 4 of us are really interested in learning Cantonese. But Xiao Tien (Ken) knows how to speak Cantonese because he lived in Singapore before. They speak different languages there. He's quite an expert in speaking Cantonese. During our last concert in HongKong, we were asked to sing a Cantonese song each. He temporarily side-lined as
our Cantonese teacher and would listen to our pronounciation and correct us.

Rose: Someone here wishes you good luck and hope you'll have children soon... (hehe me ulit nagsabi niyan.. )
ZZ: Haha.. too fast.. (ang bilis naman niyan kuno.. hehe basta for me, as long as he's happy, i'll be happy for him. ^__^ kilig
naman...)

Rose: Someone here from Vic Town (Yu Min Xiao Jen) is asking if you like the card they gave you.
ZZ: Yeah I like the card. I'm just a little busy these days so I haven't find the time to go to their site and register yet. (MY GOSH!!! That mean's it's possible that he does go to some of the Vic websites!!... Hm.. look out viczhoufamily! ^__^)

Rose: Do you have a habit of writing diary?
ZZ: NO (that was a big no!)

Rose: You're busy, how could you find time to write diary, right?
ZZ: Actually before I thought I could write diary. But I realized I'm too lazy to write. HAHA.. so it becomes an impossible task for me.

Rose: Do you like orange? Because you're wearing orange today.
ZZ: I'm ok with orange. My outfit today was picked by our designer. I usually don't wear clothes with bright colors. Personally, I would prefer earth/dark colors.

Rose: Our HongKong fans here are requesting if you could greet them in Cantonese.
ZZ starts to speak in Cantonese: Kong tong wah? .. hong kong ti pang you.. nei hou ah... ngo hai.. zhou.. wek.. zhou yuk.. meng.. (Cantonese... Hello to all the fans from HongKong. I'm Zhou.. Yuk... Meng...).. I think it's something like that.. I forgot .. haha.. I learned it before but I forgot.

Rose: So what's zaizai in Cantonese...
ZZ: It's still ZaiZai.. just like Wah Zai (How they call Andy Lau in HK)

Rose: Do you have any actress that you adore?
ZZ: You mean like work together in series or singing? There are lots of actresses that I would really like to work with in terms of acting. Not only actresses from Taiwan, but also from HK.

Rose: Yeah, like Baolong. He already have a film with Sammi.
ZZ: Yeah. I would also like to have a chance to work with Sammi (hm.. idol nga niya).

Rose: But he (Baolong) worked with Sammi and were linked together.
ZZ: I can also be linked to Sammi ah.. .. if she doesn't mind, he can also be linked with a small brother (xiao ti ti).. haha

Rose: Do you prefer girls like Sammi?
ZZ: Yeah.. I like her very much.

Rose: She's also an interesting person..
ZZ: Yeah. And she's also very hard working. Actually the difference I saw between actors from HK and Taiwan is that the actors in HK are more hard working. Maybe that the way their show business is running.. everything is more hectic.

Rose: There are lots of news circulating that F4 wasn't really prepared for stardom and that the members doesn't really have much talent. What can you say about that?
ZZ: Actually, F4 was formed because of a popular tv series, which also lead us to the music industry and had a chance to release an album. I admit ah. I admit that we weren't really prepared at first
because everything just came too quickly. In the beginning, I think only Vanness was really well-prepared among the four of us as it had been his plan to enter the entertainment industry. So he really had prepared a lot and was able to bring out his talent. But now, I think we have already grown and developed our talents. As you can see, we have our respective careers now like acting and singing.
Xiao Tien is also developing his own career towards being a music composer. And Vanness is also very talented in terms of dancing. So I think everybody can see the
improvement in us.

Rose: So that's why you're learning to play the guitar lately? To improve yourself?
ZZ: Oh no.. not really. Well, I just feel that guys who can play the guitar are just too "shuai"... ...

Rose: Oh, so like it's easier for you to attrach girls?
ZZ: no lah.. haha.. I won't really bring a guitar to a pub to meet girls. It's just so "shuai"...
Rose: Oh, just like the way Xiao Tien looked when he's playing the guitar..
ZZ: Yeah... Just like Xiao Tien. He would always practice first before a show and really bring out the best in his performance.

Rose: So like when do you think the other F3 is at the most attractive moment? Like when do they bring out their charisma?
ZZ: Like Xiao Tien, I think it's when he really concentrates seriously in an acting scene. You know, when he starts to put himself into the character he is playing... that's the moment when you can see his charisma.

Rose: How about Baolong?
ZZ: Baolong ah? .. Well, I think because he was a model before, so when he starts to strike a pose... even a simple pose.. "shuai" (pose palang guwapo na)...

Rose: Can you demonstrate how he poses?
ZZ: You can always see him bowing his head a bit and stare in front.. just like this .. that kind of glance. And it's not fake at all.. it's all natural. just a simple pause makes him so "shuai".

Rose: How about Vanness?
ZZ: Well, I think he looks very "shuai" when dancing and singing on stage.

Rose: What's your favorite song in your new album?
ZZ: My favorite is track number 8, "Hu Ran". When I was recording that song, I was really carried away by the song and I felt sad.
(Feeling niya kawawa naman siya).

Rose: Why did the song make you feel sad?
ZZ: The lyrics of the song was really very good so I was a bit carried away.

Rose: The packaging of your album is really nice. And you really look so "shuai" in the pictures... Hey, do you get tired of hearing our fans saying you're so "shuai" all the time?
ZZ: Uhm.. how do I explain this... I don't really get tired of hearing them saying that. But I don't really like them saying that.

Rose: Why?
ZZ: They just don't have to. Well, I'm just not too comfortable with praises.

Rose: Ha? Why?
ZZ: I would prefer someone saying that they like my acting talents.

Rose: Oh like "Zai Zai you're really very good in acting"...
ZZ: Uhm... that's a bit fake for me. haha.. I would prefer them discussing certain scenes that they think I acted good. You know.. like I can really feel that they really noticed my talent. I'm just a bit turned-off with something that sounds too plastic or too fake.. like saying it with a high pitch...

Rose: Oh so you don't like plastic person.
ZZ: Yeah...

Rose: So what do you think about Vivian Hsu?
ZZ: She's not fake... haha.. why did you ask that?

Rose: Don't get me wrong.. haha.. it's just because you know Vivian's always talking with a high pitch... so what do you think of her.
ZZ: I think she's nice. Well, she might give people a first impression that she's pa-cute. But after some time, I realized that's her true self. She's just too energetic and she's like that everyday! Bilib na ako sa kanya.. she seems to have so much energy and she always shows the positive side of her all the time. So she's just an outgoing person by nature and she likes to be friends with everybody.

Rose: She's not like that before...
ZZ: Really? I don't know her before...

Rose: Maybe she just changed after she came back from Japan...
ZZ: Yeah.. maybe she missed Taiwan so much when she was back in Japan so she became so outgoing when she came back.

Rose: Would you want to act with Zheng Yuen Chang (the lead actor of "The Rose".. cutie din!!)
ZZ: Yes. If given a chance I would like to act with him.

Rose: He was first offered for the role in "Zhan Shen" right?
ZZ: Yeah. But I think he turned down the offer because he thought the role is not suitable for him. Or else we would have the chance to act together. I heard that he's also a Gemini. Hehe.. The two
of us are both Gemini and I think the two of us would have the power to make the whole crew go crazy if we will have the chance to act together. HAHA.. I would really like the set to be always in a happy and jolly mood.

<5 min break for photo session...>

Rose: Someone¡¦s asking if you have plans of writing a book or an auto-biography.

ZZ: Write a book? Hm¡K I don¡¦t think so¡K If I have plans I must have started writing already. Haha¡K.

Rose: Yeah¡K He hasn¡¦t even started writing his diary¡K haha¡K

ZZ: Yeah¡K you¡¦re right.

Rose: Since you started show business, you constantly have pressures. How do you deal with pressures?

ZZ: I would go online and chat with my old friends back in Luo Dong. Or else I would talk with somebody on the phone. When I¡¦m all by myself, then I would chose to lock myself in my room and cry.

Rose: Ha? You would lock yourself in your room and cry?

ZZ: Yeah! Why not? But of course that¡¦s the last choice. But I really do think crying is one good way of relieving pressure.

Rose: So how do you cry? Do you like crying out loud or just weeping silently in one corner?

ZZ: Uhm¡K I won¡¦t sob with sounds actually. Tears just fall down silently.

Rose: So you¡¦re afraid that your mom might hear you crying?

ZZ: Uhm¡K it¡¦s not like that actually. And I won¡¦t mind if they (his family) hear me crying. And
