Two years after his stunning solo debut, Vic "Zai Zai" Chou bounces back
with a new release Remember I Love You. Can the Mandopop heartthrob still
send us drooling and screaming? Oh, yes, yes, yes!

Only 10 days into the new year, Vic Chou was a happy lad. Within just eight
days of its release, 500,000 copies of his sophomore album Remember I Love
You had been snapped up. In fact, the first 100,000 which came with a set
of pyjamas, were sold out two days before the CD even arrived in stores.

To celebrate the sales feat, his record company even held a party, during
which he cracked open a golden egg to reveal a 500,000 figure. (Jean says:
In Singapore alone, he sold 20,000 copies of his 2nd album by the time he
came here on 31 Jan to have his Autograph Session cum Singing
Performance... and I'm talking about ALL ORIGINAL COPIES here!)

Decked out in a smart winter jacket and grey turtleneck top, the
floppy-haired good-looker had another surprise when he received a
long-distance phone call from label mate Wang Lee Hom, who had a guitar
specially delivered to him. "I know you've picked up playing the guitar,"
said Lee Hom. "If you have any questions, I'd be glad to help. It'd be cool
to hear you sing and strumming the guitar one day!"

And of course, Vic's F4 buddies Vanness, Ken and Jerry, as well as Love
Storm co-star Vivian Hsu, also lavished him with praise and brightened up
the event with huge congratulatory bouquets. Meanwhile, his Meteor Garden
leading lady cum best pal Barbie Hsu had turned up at his autograph signing
several days earlier - insisting he sign her stack of Remember I Love You CDs!

HIS PRONOUNCIATION HAS IMPROVED!

At least that's what the 22-year-old Yilan native says. For this album, in
fact, the diligent dude had his production team help jot down the
pronounciation of the lyrics for all the tracks. It apparently worked. On a
recent hosting stint on AZIO, he even teased co-host Yang Qianpei for
tripping all over her words. "You know, everyone who spends some time with
me will eventually end up fumbling over the pronounciation! But really, I
don't think it's totally my fault!" he chuckled.

But back to the music. Like his last work Make A Wish, Remember I Love You
is driven by ballads, including the title track, "Your Body Temperature"
(Jean says: The Chinese title is "Ni De Ti Wen"), "Try Loving Me For One
Day" (Jean says: The Chinese title is "Shi Zhe Ai Wo Yi Tian"), along with
"I'm Breathing You" (Jean says: The Chinese title is "Wo Hu Xi Ni"), the
closing theme of Love Storm. For all his crooning about love, this Andy Lau
fan is single and - hurrah - yearning for romance.

"Love is so important to life. But it's a luxury I can't get to enjoy. I
won't have time for her, and that's so irresponsible," he laments.

Perhaps because he has somewhat gained confidence in his musical career,
Vic has also tried out an uptempo ditty like "Mummy Says" (Jean says: The
Chinese title is "Ma Ma Shuo") and rap number "The 3,000-year Rumour" (Jean
says: The Chinese title is "San Qian Nian De Liu Yan").

"Although the producer was satisfied with my first take, he encouraged me
to be clearer in terms of diction," he reveals proudly. "Who knows, I can
do a Stanley Huang on my next album!"

HIS PHOTO SHOOT WAS TORTURE!

These yummy-looking pics are part of the reason we can't get our hands off
the new Vic release. But, according to Prince Charming himself, the snowy
scene of him looking pensively was one of his toughest photo shoots ever.

The production team had rented an al fresco cafe on Mount Yangming, and
planned to create snowflakes using coarse salt. Unfortunately, since he had
to maintain the same expression and mood for one hour, not only did his
eyes hurt from the sting of the salt, but he also swallowed a lot of salt
during the process.

The worst part was, the salt ruined the painstaking manicured grass on the
cafe's premises, leading to damages of NT$50,000!

"This album better sell more copies to cover the cost of the grass!" he
laughed after the shoot.

HIS NEW TV SERIAL!

Immediately after he completes promoting his album, Vic will start work on
God of War, a Taiwanese idol drama based on a Japanese manga series.
Teaming up with Barbie again, he plays twin brothers with very different
personalities: one is gentle and caring while the other is impetuous and
hot-tempered. Helmed by Meteor Garden director Tsai Yuehsun, the
romance-actioner features Vic with a spanking new image.

"Maybe it's because I can be very quiet one moment and very active the
next," he says about his compatibility with the role. "Even F3 thinks I
have very extreme personalities."

While the tabloids had a field day harping on his NT$200,000-per-episode
salary, the Gemini guy was over the moon because the project gave him
plenty of opportunities to indulge in his favourite pastime - cars. He may
own a luxury car (the brand begins with B) but it is at the racing track
where his speed limit goes up to a staggering 180km/h!

It is something the speed demon cannot get enough of. "A few seconds after
my right foot steps on the accelerator, it's off I go!" he exclaims. "The
record now is 1 min 14 secs for 1.1km. My personal best is 1 min 20 sec, so
I'm almost there. I'd like to go pro if possible."

That's why, although his face has 'sold' everything from beverages and
online games to apparel, the product he'd like to endorse is cars! "I'd
agree, even if it's just an event involving automobiles. But of course, if
there are sexy models around, that'd be wonderful!"

HIS SMOKING DAYS ARE OVER!

It's hard to believe but - yes, it's true - Vic picked up the puffing habit
at 17, because "it made me look cool". By the time he was filming Meteor
Garden, he smoked one pack a day.

So what made him decide to quit? "It started during Meteor Garden. Director
Tsai couldn't come to filming because his son fell sick. Later he told us
that his son's illness was linked to his smoking habit. I ddin't really
think much about it, until a year ago, I was in my room and felt it was
smoky and stinky. His words came back then, and I decided, for the sake of
my children, I'd quit."

Seven months after that, he was appointed the spokesperson for a Quit
Smoking campaign. "Smoking harms the lungs and skin. Since I quit, I've
felt much healthier," he said during the press conference for the event.

HIS STUDIES COME FIRST!

Vic's career may be at stratospheric levels but the down-to-earth fella has
stuck to his studies at the polytechnic. This is despite nasty rumours
(which were denied by the school) that he was banned from the exams due to
deplorable grades in Chinese and English. Even on the afternoon of the
party to celebrate his 500,000 album sales, he was spotted poring through
his notes for an upcoming English exam.

"English is difficult," he explains, "because I have to understand the
grammar and vocabulary." Oh, did you know, his MD player, which he brings
everywhere with him, even contains a disc on English conversation!

Zai Zai had once said to her, "If I take away my celebrity halo, it actually is only an empty shell." Zai Zai sincerity touched her. Zai Zai, who is currently filming "Mars," also admires Xu Wei Lun's kind-heart and intelligence, different from other girls he has known in the past. And with regards to the love affairs between Xu Wei Lun and Lee Wei, Zai Zai said that he is unclear about what is happening between the 2, but he and Xu Wei Lun are friends. He'll continue to keep in touch with her.

The triangle relationship between Xu Wei Lun, Lee Wei and Zai Zai is on fire. During the time she filmed "Love Storm" she told Zai Zai, "I think that F4 is really 'chou pei' (passing gas)..." Something pertaining to F4's type of feel. Zai Zai replied, "Yep, I'm a lump of excrement, I know that there are many people who dislike us." After Xu Wei Lun got to know Zai Zai better she realized that Zai Zai looks foolish on the outside but he really has a fine heart and mature. Have not been holding to the pen and writing for very long. Knowing that i have to write some heartfelt words to Malaysia friends, i'm feeling a little scared. That's because whenever i get interviewd by the media, my mind have to turn really fast. Having to express my feelings in a limited time have always been difficult. But, when having enough time to write my own words, i realised, writing is even more difficult than speaking ...i really don't know how to start !

It's going to be Valentine's Day soon ( written 2 days before Valentines ). Being asked about my love life by colleagues, its a little embarrassing. In fact, i don't really have much love experiences, but till now, the most unforgettable one to me, and the most unforgettable relationship. Remembering the past, i dated my girlfriend to go to a nearby famous bridge in Yilan to spend Valentines. However, after finishing walking on that bridge, we ended with a little misunderstandings and broke off, its so conincidence ! Maybe our characters didn't match. After being away for so long, this relationship is really unforgettable !

Recently, as i have released Ji De wo Ai Ni, the media have been asking in which circumstances would i say Ji De Wo Ai Ni, to the one i love. As i am busy with work, my love life is still empty. When singing this song, it's telling it to my fans. When a pretty lady is willing to be my girlfriend in future, i'll tell it to her again!

Speaking back, Ji De Wo Ai Ni can be explained in a few terms. If you say it as a hint to breakup song, it can be too. As both people have been in love, when breaking up face to face, the other party who gets abandoned says Ji De Wo Ai Ni, it may allow the other person to always remember his/her good always. But, i often find that, if you can't be a couple, then be good friends! There's never enemies in this world, right? Speaking from another way, Ji De Wo Ai Ni, it is also to remind the love of another party, hoping that she'll feel it.

In this romantic feel Valentine's Day, are you hoping to give him or her a unforgettable memory ? If you have not express your love for the him or her you like, i'll give youa word of "Ji De Wo Ai Ni", wishing you all to be happily together , Happy Valentine's Day !

Body Temperature like a Kiss

Recently, life ( should not be taken as life anymore!), there's only one word to describe, that's "busy". After finishing my promotion work for new released album, Ji De Wo Ai Ni, i flew back to Taiwan immediately to be engross in the fliming of new drama series, Zhan Shen. Getting to work with Da S again, the feeling is not bad. The humour is increasing in each time, believe that everyone would get to see this not bad story, new drama series very soon.

Because of promotion work, there would be fans requesting to get a hug all the time. Actually, hugging is a feeling. For example, wanting to share your joy, Gan Dong(Touched). Especially hugging when you are sad, hugging can help to express something which you can't say out directly to the other person. Sometimes, when i can't express the feelings i have, i'll just hug my friend without concern, couple hugging or hugging as friends, i find that it's a feeling being expressed. The relationship level can be felt by the other party and yourself at that moment you hug each other. For example, a phrase in my new song, Ni De Ti Wen, " Ni De Wen Ruan De Ti Wen Xiang Yi Ge Wen.....", thus when hugging each other, their heartbeat, their body temperature, their nervous hands would calm down.

If you ask me whether when i hug with fans that i don't know, and realised they smell and how would i handle it. Such a embarrassing scene, i can only say, so far, that have not happened to me. Those who have hug with me have been people who are smelling nice. It's me whom i think after perspiring for very long, i'll have a funny smell instead! Unfortunately, if you were to smell it when u hug me next time, dun be suspicious, that's only the smell from my perspiring! It's quite embarrassing!

Try Loving Urself Each Day

Counting and counting, i have been in the entertainment circle for quite some time. Because of the role, Hua Ze Le, even the "Zhou Yu Min" for known by alot of people, you can say this is the luck taken from my past life.

Being an artist during this time, i have learnt many human storys. Facing the critision by people and the media, i have to face it myself. Whether is it good or bad, i have to try and save it, this is to let others know, celebrities are also humans. Humans would want to have their own lifestyle too.

Facing the Kua Zhang (exaggerated) articles by media, i just have to force myself to try and hide some things, cause the words sometimes are just very hurting. However, people who mixed around with me, privately, they know that i have not changed a lot, i just want things to be simple, filling life with laughter would be happier.

Recently, many fans have said that i have changed a lot when visiting TV stations. Being much more cheerful and much more words, being very humourous too ! Actually, that's the real me! People was shy the last time !

Don't just see me as the gentle one on the outside, my temper isn't that good actually. Though i won't hope for everyone to come and love me, but, if you're trying to let me know when it's not time, never talk to me in a very bad tone, cause that's not easy to control, so much things on earth, why can't we just talk it out nicely ! As long as you use a more gentle tone, we can still sit down to continue talking. But, the low-EQ me, would be able to listen to ur persuasion more.

Try to love yourself, and also to love yourself everyday, allowing your own feelings to feel better, that's the most important feeling now.

Taiwan's new generation idols Li Wei and 'Zai Zai' Zhou Yu Min have stepped into a triangle relationship with Xu Wei Lun.
F4's Zai Zai and WEWE's Li Wei are very similar. They both became famous through being independent of the group they started off with, both are very famous, who would have thought that they would even like the same type of girls?

Who's got more 'top artist' fate?

Does the famous F4 or WEWE have more 'top artist' material? Before, MTV's vote showed that Li Wei was 'better', but Zai Zai wasn't far behind, in another survey 34% of those who were questioned believed Zai Zai has more 'stuff' needed to be the new top idol (artist).

The polite, quite Zai Zai had a lot of chance to play the role of a 'knight in shining army' type of good man. His eyes give those who see him a clean feeling, he is always smiling, his image is 100% matched with the average girl's dream guy, plus he is always featured in many such roles be it in dramas, commercials, etc. And the cool Li Wei who acted in 'Tu Si Nan Zhi Wen', 'Tian Shi Shao Nian', 'Yi Jia zhi shu' and 'Shao Nian Fa Lu ______', (don't know the words) his image as 'Wei Ye' in 'TuSi Nan Zhi Wen' sent him to fame.

Zhou Yu Min's new movie has many challenges

'God Mars' is derived from a Japanese manga, and Zai Zai plays the roll of twin brothers, one who is kind and the other adverturous (he portrays more than one role), and the female lead Da S is portrays someone with a hidden past. To accurately portray these rolls, Zai Zai takes classes, and Da S does the same, both are working hard on these new challenges.

Even though 'God Mars' is derived from a Japanese manga, as was Meteor Garden and Poor Prince, but the 'God Mars' is quite different, and Zai Zai comments, 'This isn't the manga for average girls, because it contains much schizophrenia, and I personally ahve to split up into 5 different personalities, so whenever I have time I'd read psychology books and watch any other movie with schizophrenics."
Producer says Zai Zai is seen by fans as 'an angel God sent to Earth', but in God Mars his image becomes very different, like a psycho, and there's a lot of inner stories within him, thus it is a challenge for fans to accept seeing Zai Zai in such a role.

Li Wei isn't afraid of Zai Zai being at the same level.

Lately, Li We and Xu Wei Lun's relationship seems to be having problems, two days ago Li Wei admits that he and Xu Wei Lun rarely have a chance to meet, and didn't even spend Valentine's Day together. And Xu Wei Lun in 'Zhuang Qiu Xiao Zi' hears what Li Wei said, and coldly replies 'Don't blame me.' and bursting into tears.

With regards to Zai Zai entering their relationship, Li Wei says he doesn't care and says 'it's all about freedom'. He comments, "It's everyone's freedom, Zai Zai has freedom to chase anyone, and girls have the freedom to be chased, and if the girl changes heart then I will give her freedom.' He even looks back at his past experiences and says 'being in the middle' is very hard, so he expresses that he understands Xu Wei Lun's pain of being between him and Zai Zai.

Li Wei s willing to give Xu Wei Lun her freedom, but he doesn't wish that she and Zai Zai will be hurt by this triangle relationship, and says "She is a really good person, so having admirers is very natural, as long as she doesn't do anything (wrong or bad to him), then everything is fine."

Li Wei's character in his film is much like that of Zai Zai in 'God Mar's, and with regards to having his girlfriend Xu Wei Lun 'stolen', he speaks to Zai Zai in a carefree fashion, 'We'll look at our results, at that time we'll see who she likes.' Does this mean the Xu Wei Lun only cares about their fame? Li Wei says "Valentines Day was spent with Zhou Jie Lun at an arcade (i think it's arcade..) and he envied that I could play for free.' At the end, reporters asked him if in the future he and Zai Zai were working together, would he mind? Li Wei said "It depends on the script. As long as the person is right for the role, it doesn't matter who it is."

Li Wei seems really cool and uncaring about the love questions, but once reporters asked about his work, he immediately brightens him. He says that he started working with his father, and when he was 18 and got a drivers license he went everywhere, and played in a movie where he could use his driving skills. Li Wei happily says, "Once I think of the racetracks speed, curves and everything, I will become very excited."

Some else asked "o these skills come in handy when u need to run from the 'doggy teams' (reporters)?". Li Wei replies, "I used to always speed, if we are on a race track no 'doggy team' can catch me, even Jay Zhou has to do some training!"

Zai Zai wants to find a girlfriend outside the entertainment circle.

Xu Wei Lun's friend says, "Zai Zai is clearly chasing Xu Wei lun, who says Li Wei is so stubborn from beginning to end and adamant not to admit Xu Wei Lun is his girlfriend."

Towards this comment, Li Wei replies, "I'm not in a relationship for the press, it is my own principles, but this doesn't mean that I don't admit the feeling is there, what is going on between us is very clear in our own minds!" Over two years he says his relationship with Xu Wei Lun is that of 'good friends', so once there is a third person, the relationship becomes very dangerous. He finally is willing to speak and reporters asked him to describe their relationship. He says "We are not only good friends, we are very good (together), the past two years has been the same, never changed."

What does Zai Zai think? He says, the other (Xu Wei Lun) has a very good character/personality, and gives him a 'fresh' feeling, but there is no chance to 'advance', though this does not apply to the future. He says he doesn't care if girlfriend is within the entertainment circle or not, as long as she meets his requirements then it is good. And Vic Zhou (a.k.a. Hua Ze Lei), 22, said to be the most shy of the Flower 4 guys and the quartet’s baby, too, because he happens to be the youngest.

After Meteor garden which causes a stir in very place within Southeast Asia now ZZ and Da S once again starred together in Chai Zhiping production, drama based on Japanese well-known cartoon "War-god". With also director Cai Yuexun directed the drama, such combination believed can bring back the MG magic and attract fans interest.

However the actors also expressed that this drama was also different from MG, as it has more challenging role. Well known for his strict ways, director Cai Yuexun, has already scheduled the shooting days as far as go to the Japanese Sendai.

The drama shooting place will cover Taiwan, China and Japan involving local movie crew from each places. According to Chai Zhiping to keep with the budget, each episodes of "War-god" will cost around 3.5 million Yuan.

Focus attention on this drama, also because many love scenes between not Da S and ZZ.

For kissing scene, Da S said that, "I feel i can cooperate doing this with ZZ and hopefully my boyfriend wont feel jealous. Moreover i thought, direct Cai should be able to shoot it well, also i know ZZ, he is a good person.

While for ZZ, he is very happy can act as a skill rider for this role, because in secret he dreamed himself to be one mechanical man. He especially go to health training for built body for this drama and practice car racing. Now he's very busy managing time between drama, practice and schoolworks. ZZ's new serial MARS began filming yesterday, he acts as a "walking sex organ", someone with an easy going attitude towards sex. In real life, ZZ says: "Can't guarantee that one night stand won't happy, when the feeling's right, what should happen will happen." In regards to his rumours with Xu Wei Lun, his answer is: "What should happen will happen." It is almost an implication that he will continue to chase her against Lee Wei.

In the show, ZZ's views on sex is very open but in actual fact, ZZ never had a one night stand but he adds: "oes not mean that it will never happen." He believes that relationships should be natural, as what should happen will happen, just let it be. However, ZZ was hesitant and says: "I am afraid that if we start off on sex, then our relationship will be based on that."

ZZ says that he is a normal male and wants to fall in love. After Love Storm, is ZZ's relationship with Xu Wei Lun friends or lovers? It seems that the question has been asked thousands of times. He replied: "Friends are just friends, even if we are together, nothing will happen. As for whether we will end up together or not, I can't guarantee, things will happen if it is meant to be."

Da S adds: "That's right, I can't guarantee that I won't break up with Lan Zhen Long."

[02.13.04] 2/13 Filming God Mars, Da S is autistic, Zai Zai is very open

Idol drama “God Mars” just recently started filming. The story is very different. Zai Zai Vic Zhou alone will be playing 4 roles. In the drama he is an open boy. Da S Barbie Hsu plays a girl who is infringed by her stepfather. At the drama’s press conference today the two expressed that the difficulty level of portraying their roles is very high, bringing many pressures.

After “Meteor Garden,” producer Angie Cai and director Cai Yue Xun will be working together once again for “God Mars,” starring Zai Zai, Da S, Lai Ya Yan, Xiu Jie Kai, An Jun Can. Besides filming in Taiwan, they will also be proceeding to Japan and China to film. The cost of filming one episode is as high as 3,500,000TWD, becoming the highest expense for a Taiwanese drama.

Zai Zai will by playing 4 roles. After the main character, Ling’s, twin brother committed suicide, he had a huge change in personality, becoming a cynical playboy. He has a very open-minded attitude towards sex. Because Zai Zai will be facing the challenge of acting as someone with a split personality, jumping buildings, bed scenes and more, this will cause anticipation and amazement for all fans.

Da S’ character has once been abused by her stepfather, causing her to have a self-sealing and oppressive nature. And her interaction with her mother is also very subtle. The only way to express her world within her heart is through art. In order to interpret this type of role, Da S went to talk to some staff members of Jia Bao Center. After hearing some tragic cases, it made her feel very painful.

Regarding the future infringement scenes, Da S said that she doesn’t know how the director will come about filming it as well as who the actor will be. However, she said in advance that she can accept grabbing arms, but she can’t accept gentle caressing and stroking and exposing scenes.

According to predictions, “God Mars” will be done filming around May. In March they will be advancing to Japan to film the racing scenes. Shan Ye head racer Ah Bu Dian Shi will be guiding Zai Zai in racing techniques.

HONG KONG -- He enters the room without fanfare. In fact, I don't see him pass by as my back is turned against him. But when I notice the faces of my companions light up like dressing-room bulbs hungry to see their star, I know Vic Zhou is in our midst.
With 20 minutes to burn to discuss Zai Zai's (his pet name) life and times, I don't know where to start. I am not the official F4 chronicler. (Okay, okay, I did chat up with Barbie Xu some weeks ago and I'm off to meet up with Vanness Wu this weekend, but that doesn't mean anything, really-aside from the fact that I am getting better at my Mandarin.) All I would be interested to talk about with them is hair care.

Then again, due to the constant shrieks of Ruth Navarra, this paper's resident F4 fan club president (I'm sure there would be a lot who would fight her for the title), plus the poor souls who would rise up to heaven with the mere sight of Vic's autographed photo, I decided to hie off to Hong Kong, to see what lay beneath those famed locks that sang those immortal lyrics, "Oh baby, baby, baby..."

He stands up to greet me, and I realize that he is much taller in person. Everything else is very much the same-his long, brown-dyed hair, lost-puppy-dog eyes and his wide I'm-a-good-boy grin.

At 22, and the youngest member of F4, Vic Zhou is now in Hong Kong on a tour to promote his new Sony music album "Remember.... I Love You," and to start filming his new tv series entitled "Mars"-which he started shooting last Feb 9. (And I am not the official F4 chronicler!)

He compliments me on my jacket, which I accept graciously. "You look like a magician," he tells me earnestly. Uhh, that wasn't what I was aiming for. Then again, I start doing magic tricks as we progress in the interview.

"I've always loved performing in private, but I never expected to do it in public," Vic explains pensively as he looks back on his childhood. "I was a very naughty but quiet kid-I was painfully shy."

This shyness is actually still apparent in Vic, who, despite being a regional superstar at 22 (he is still in school, taking up business management by the way), projects a humble and down-to-earth aura that is rare among his colleagues who all have rehearsed spiels and readily plastered smiles for fans.

If Jerry Yan is the one you'll fool around and elope with, Vic is the type you'd love to bring home to mom.

With Vic, you can actually sense sincerity. Like a kid, he is very spontaneous and candid with the people around him.

He giggles a lot too. When Sony's Roslyn Reyes was with him last year to shoot station ID's (you know, those "Hi, I am Vic and you are watching 'Eat Bulaga!'" type of stuff), he kept on cracking up every time he spoke English. Maybe he finds his English funny. Or it's his self-deprecating side.

At his first Manila concert last year, a booming voice announced his name, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Vic Zhou!" He came out, waved at the audience, and said, "Alo, alo, alooooo! For the crowd, this was the first time outside of ABS-CBN dubbing that they were hearing Zai Zai's speaking voice. Of course, it endeared him more to them. Well, he can speak Arabic for all I care and I'm sure they'll still be enamored.

Barbie's 'titi'

When pretty pretty new Myx Vj Salie Acupan exclaims to him, "My mom loves you, my brother loves you, my sister loves you, I love you!" -- he giggles some more. And when she says, "You're so big in the Philippines, you're so big everywhere!" His giggles turn into bursts. Well, any guy would blush when described as that "big."

If he isn't busy (which is rare, really) with tapings, shoots and promo tours, this big guy prefers to spend his time with computer games-he can spend all day playing with his gadgets and being on the Net, if not catching up on lost sleep.

"I can't believe it-I think I'm gonna cry! He hugged me and asked if I was Chinese!" gushed Tin Tin Morada, a student of Miriam College, who got the chance to meet Vic in Hong Kong via a Sony Music contest in the Myx music channel. I told Tin Tin that she should have answered "Not yet-but I will be if you marry me!"

He says he's not sure when he and F4 are coming back to Manila, and that the last time they were all together was to support their co F4 mate Vanness Wu at the premiere of his film "Star Runner."

About his co-star in the hit series "Meteor Garden," he confides to me that he and Barbie have gotten so close that they almost have a brother-sister ceremony. Hmm, I wonder what kind of ceremony would that be? And that Barbie calls him her "titi."

Okay, before dirty minds start thinking, "titi" in Mandarin means "little brother."

'Remember I Love You'

I'm listening to his latest album (launched just last week, whose cover is shown above, with Vic's autograph-a Valentine treat for 2bU! readers) with ballads and some fast, catchy tunes very different from his past musical collections-filled with stories of love won and lost.

"When you're shooting a video, you meet the girl for the first time and you guys have to pretend like you're so in love. With a TV series, you really get to meet the person, because you spend so much time together." He ponders on the difference on shooting with diverse media. There is really something underneath all that hair.

Vic then recalls his moments shooting the videos for this album. "Every story, the girl always leaves me. I guess that's the story of my life, too." Instead of feeling self-pity, he laughs at himself good-naturedly. Okay, I can now hear girls screaming, "Choose me, I won't leave yoooouuuu!"

He tells me that he plans to sing these songs to his future girlfriend. But now that he hasn't found anyone yet, his Valentine's day would consist of work, work, work.

So, any "work" volunteers?

ZZ just came back from HK the night before, his next schedule will include shooting in Japan for a car-race scene. For this scenes, he must attend
intensive training class for car racing. Yesterday eraly morning, when testing the road he easily mastered the path.

"War-god" first day of shooting is held at the campus field/ground, plays a bad student, ZZ wearing leather jacket, beautiful women in his side, enter the classroom, causing uproar jealous from his schoolmates, but the female students actually loudly shout: "Your male student very disgusting Ye!"

At the shooting ceremony, as ZZ & Da S already familiarly known each other since MG, they had a friendly chat extremely harmoniously.

On Speaking English

Q: Do you know that F4 has a lot of fans in Asia and North America?
A: Yes, because we had a tour in the States, so we aren't strangers to the Chinese people there.
Q: But do you know that a lot of your fans are foreigners?
A: Really? I didn't know that. That's great!
Q: Have you ever had experience communicating with people in English?
A: Not really. Only in English class in school.
Q: Since f4 is targeting the international market, do you have any plans to learn English? How will you learn?
A: I think it's absolutely necessary. It's a skill i'd like to acquire. I think i'm going to learn English by communicating with my friends in English. I think that learning English in my daily life will be more useful than learning English in school.

On Music
Q: How would you categorize your musical style?
A: Most of my songs are love songs. I've always sung love songs because I'm good at them and probably because my voice suits love songs. We've added different styles to this album, and when people hear it, they feel the sound is quite good. We'll keep doing this in the future.

A:Yes, i think the style of the album is quite easy to listen to over and over again! I've been listening to it in my office for over a week!

To avoid chaos at the scene, the general assembly increased security, requiring 70 security guards and 100 tie ma along with 2 police cars. After signing for 2 hours straight, Zai Zai's hands were tired. But if fans are happy he thinks that it's worth it because after the autograph session he had to immediately take a flight back to Taiwan, once again leaving HK fans for a period of time. There was a handfull of male fans at the scene too to get autographs. Zai Zai thinks that it's a good thing, but he believes that they are probably lining up to get an autograph for their girlfriends.

In the past year, F4 member Vanness Wu took on HK movie "Star Runner." Regarding the just ok results at the Taiwan box office, Zai Zai immediately supported Vanness saying that he worked extremely hard for this movie, frequently training himself hoping that he's more fit to film the movie. He also praised that this movie makes one really touched. He expressed that he never heard that it wasn't doing good at the box office, instead he heard pretty good things. When asked if he would film this type of action movie, he expressed that if there's a chance he'd like to try. However he isn't too confident because he is rather lazy. Does he mind revealing the upper part of his body? He thinks that he doesn't mind, but he believes that the company will not approve of it at the moment because he has to practice a bit first before letting people see.

Two years ago, when F4 was running hot, Zz released an album and sold 120 000, this year, ZZ released another album, continuing in the same style, however, sales fell to 40 000, dropping off 2/3.

In regards to the falling sales, ZZ is not worried: "I tried." ZZ is a very cooperative artist, whether it be promotional activities or photo shoots, he has never said no to anything. Manager says that all the activities and promotions have been organised by the music company and ZZ was very cooperative. ZZ is not unhappy, he does everything he can and the two sales figures can not be compared with each other, but there would be disappointment.

Even though sales in Taiwan is not has good but sales overseas has been terrific. It defeated Leehom and Jay in Thailand in the charts. At the Singapore autograph session, over 6000 people turned up and ZZ signed until his hand couldn't move. HK fans bought 16 boxes of albums in one go!

ZZ is now preparing for his new series, MARS and is training to get his body in shape and learning to ride motorbike. After his end of semster results came out as All Pass, even though there were no high marks, ZZ is already very happy.

Yesterday, there were 25 security who were there to maintain order, but all 500 hundred fans were very discipline. Only when Zaizai was taking photos with everyone, some fans actually touched him from inside the barricadge. In the event, he choose 4 winners to come upstage and then choose another great winner. All the four of them were either holding on cakes or Bu SHi. And the one who won the contest actually used chocolates to lure him a little as Zaizai felt that it was a little more effort. Although there were fans who brought Fried Chicken Chop, Wonton Noodle, Zaizai was still suspicious of whether there did it themselves. When speaking of the bird flu that affected his diet of fried chicken chop, he nodded and said, " Yes, it's a waste."

Zaizai says that the most unforgetable Valentine's Day was when he was in college years, and his girlfriend decided to break off on this day. He claims that he doesn't like to recieve presents as he is lazy to open presents. Asked whether he was a good lover ? He said, " Ah Ya, I don't know, i would never ask the opposit partner this question, but feels that if i am suppose to do it then i'll do it." However, he would never cook for his loved one, but request his loved one to cook for him, he admits that he's a little Da Nan Ren.

This Valentine, Zaizai is going to flim Zhan Shen and would be working together with Da S. As the role of the main actor and actress have lots of kissing scenes in the managa, he says that there'll be kissing scenes with Da S. He believes fans would not get angry but feel excited for it instead when seeing the sweetness in these comics. He says that whenever he flims kissing scenes, he would fall for the main actress, this way, the kissing scenes would look natural.

Once Zai Zai walked out of the gates the group of fans called him continuously. There was also a tourist at the scene that climbed up a pillar to take pictures and see the excitement. Under the circumstances of complete chaos, there was a fan that even lost her shoe.

Afterwards, Zai Zai went to receive an interview. Once he stepped out of the car there were tons of fans rushing in, causing the security guards at the scene to immediately close the gates and make fans leave. During the interview, Zai Zai said that he hoped to be able to act as a neuropath person. Not only that but he wants Sammi Cheung to portray as a nurse who helps him do psychological therapy.

Zai Zai admitted himself that he isn’t too familiar with flowers or flower talks. However he is still very romantic and considerate to his girlfriend. He has had 5 girlfriends and practically every Valentine’s he would give flowers to express his love, as well as representing that roses has always been his number one choice.

“Giving roses is very romantic.” This is why when it is Valentine’s Day Zai Zai, regardless of how soaring the prices are, he still generously give roses. No matter red roses, white roses, or purple roses, Zai Zai has given all of them before. The time he spent the most was when he bought 99 roses all at once for his girlfriend at that time, giving his girlfriend a surprise.

For this reason, even though until now when asking Zai Zai what flower he will give on Valentine’s Day, he straightforwardly chooses roses.

Yesterday, "Zai Zai" Zhou Yu Min (Vic) arrived in Hong Kong to carry out public activities for three consecutive days. Quickly after disembarking from the plane, he immediately arrived at the news station to be interviewed. When he arrived at the news station and entered the live broadcasting room, there was a reckless fan who dashed in. Fortunately, security was able to maintain order at the scene, taking the fan away.

When asked which actor and actress he would like to work with the most, "Zai Zai" chose male artist Liu De Hua (Andy Lau) and female artist Zheng Xiu Wen (Sammi Cheng). He also laughingly said that he already has a good script. He will be portraying the role of a psychopathic man. When asked if he would like to be successful like his idol "Hua Zai," he honestly said that he would not want to because he feels that being "Hua Zai" is too stressful. For him, it would be extremely exhausting. Of course, fans really want F4 to come to Hong Kong for a concert so as a result, they faxed the question of when F4 will come back to the live broadcasting room. "Zai Zai" stated that even though there¡¯s a rumor that F4 will be holding a concert in April or May and that even Hong Kong's Sony is unsure and only half believing the rumor, each of them is actually busy with his own thing, and, as of now, there are no plans for holding a concert.

Speaking of the subject of his recent rumors with << Kuang Ai Long Juan Feng >>'s female supporting actress, Xu Wei Lun, "Zai Zai" explained that as of now, there are no opportunities for further development, but it's hard to say what¡¯s in the future. He feels that her personality is very good and gives people a very fresh feeling. Also, he hopes to choose a girlfriend outside of the entertainment circle because originally, he did not like the life inside the circle. He does not wish to remain in this circle for too long because there is a feeling of oppression. Maybe someday he will continue his studies again and become an archaeologist because he likes dinosaurs.
