My name is Chua Xian Bin. I was born on 21st of August in the year 1989 at 0828 hours. I was born in Mount Elizabeth Hospital. Then, I started to live in a house near Paya Lebar. When I was three, we moved to where I presently live now, which is in Telok Kura, some place near marine parade.

When I was 3, I started nursery at Christ Methodist Church. I still remember that I was really afraid and kept on crying. Then, I made this very good friend called Max. I can’t remember much about those 3 years when I was in nursery, K1 and K2. Then came primary school. I was separated from max. Rather sad. He went to Ai tong while I went to St Stephen’s. In p1, I played a lot. I still remember those days when I played catching, police and thief, ice and water and all those fun games. In p2, I was in same class as Dominic, but didn’t get to know him well. P2 was very slack. We had this teacher who just talked to us about anything, therefore increasing our general knowledge. This didn’t affect us anyway. He taught maths, and p2 maths was easy (I think). In p3, I became good friends with Dom, and went to his house to play almost every day duing the holidays.

I went to Tao Nan School in primary 4 because of the GEP. I spent 3 years there and valued mugging over most things. Quite a lot happened during these 3 years. I had a lot of fun and met a lot of new people. However, these 3 years passed very fast and soon, I entered secondary school.

Secondary school was a totally new experience. I went into RI, the supposedly ‘mugger’ school. There, I learnt about the ‘Rafflesian Spirit’. I felt more passionate about the school. I got more active in my CCAs and house events. Meanwhile, I got more homework and assignments. With CCAs, it was much harder to cope with secondary school life compared to primary school. I slept quite late compared to when I was in primary school.

In secondary 2, I got into the RIPB and the interact club. I also had a terrific class with a lot of cool, fun and exciting people. Secondary 2 was still ok, with life being only moderately busy. However, this year has been totally packed with a lot of things to do. Interact, badminton and the RIPB take up a lot of my time. I hardly find the time to pursue my own interests as well. However, life also has become much more meaningful as well.

My ambition when I grow up is to be a doctor. Perhaps when I grow up a bit more, I might consider other occupations, but that’s all in the future, and I’ll stick to the present for now. See you.
