Who am I and why am I venting in public?
I go by xen on the net. I've been called ScaperZen, Xenielle, Zen and now just plain old lower case xen suits me just fine. I started out as a lurker in the Xena and Hercules fandom, which is how I discovered slash. I moved on to Farscape, but now I read in lots of fandoms, and I try to keep track of my favorites on my other blog

Ten Buck Fucks
I got my copy of Hard Core Logo yesturday, so you probably won't hear from me for a while. <g> I'm wallowing in the grip of my Callum Keith Rennie obsession and I'm just going to enjoy it. Right now I'm reading a HCL/Tales of the City crossover (and who ever thought you'd see that crossover? <g>) by two of my favorite Due South authors that I've been saving for this very occasion, then I'm going to tackle the Ten Buck Fucks archive. Once I get all this new stuff sorted out in my head, I'll be making a huge update to slashrecs in a few days, I'm sure.
There is a lot to process in HCL, I'm used to having to really dig for my subtext, but this can't even be called subtext. It's text. And CKR just looks like he was born to be a rock star, those long skinny arms and long fingers were just made to hold a guitar. Oh yeah, this is going to be a looong wallow.
I wonder if anyone ever wrote a HCL/Velvet Goldmine crossover? Curt/Billy...good god...I need a cigarette now...

Continuing the blogger daisy chain here:
I found Nestra's blog through my e-buddy Shrift, and discovered that Sports Night is being rerun on Comedy Central. Which is really weird because I've been trying to figure out how I was going to find a Sports Night tape fairy, and now I don't have to. I tend to follow my favorite slash authors around, and Bone has written several SN stories that I am dying to read, but I have to see the show first. I just can't read in a fandom if I haven't seen the show at all.
I still haven't gotten my copy of HCL, but I bet I get it today. I have the most annoying mailperson in the world, s/he never gets here before 5:00pm. grrrr
A friend of mine showed up today, out of the blue. Haven't seen him in months, and I never know what to call him because he changed his name to Zed (not his real name) and after 6 years of calling him Josh (also not his real name) I just can't make myself call him Zed. I feel like I'm lying. But he gets all pissed off when I call him Josh, so...
The local WB station didn't show the new episode of Buffy last night. They showed some lame local basketball game, and I have to wait until Saturday to see the show and trying to avoid spoilers is going to be really fun.
