I have Final Fantasy Tactics Advance in my grubby hands. Now, I anticipate seeing a lot of my time eaten up by it. Gotta love the Final Fantasy franchise. ^__^

MaLoki 22 was good. But then I'm always happy to see Kakusei Loki. He angsts so beautifully and is just absolute gorgeous eye candy.

Then immediately after that I got hold of Omyouji the Movie. Wow! They have shikigamis and stars on the doors and shikifukus *bounces bounces* and ofuda!! *squeals* Then there were all the significant looks the two leads give each other which makes me wonder if it's okay to slash them. Of course the special effects weren't Hollywood standard but the costumes were very beautifully done. I could see the fabric and the patterns on them. And seeing how the court works in the Heian period is interesting. I keep expecting them to start playing Go. But the first thing when I saw the guy dressed like Sai playing the flute was scream SAI!!!! *UBER SCREAM* The Onmyouji has a STAR SHAPED KEKKAI!!!! *falls off my chair* I think this story is about Seimei, a very famous Omnyouji in Japan. I think I remember the discussion on Clampesque before.

Wankage

Okay, so one night, I'm messing around with Krystalrose and we just decided to write up this fic with Seishirou and Subaru as angels. It's totally not canon and was done in a bit of light fun. So away we post Angel's Mission. I didn't think it'd appeal to most people, and to those it didn't and stopped reading, all fine and good. Now suddenly months later, one gal decides to set up an anonymous LJ and starts bashing at it. Weird. I'd have prefered a nice email telling me why she didn't like it, but no it was a public access account. Still, nothing I can do about that. Anyway, the mess has blown up to insane proportions and I'm sitting here going: What's all this about? It was just a fic! A fluffy cutesy fic. Not War and Peace! I'm certainly not getting paid for it.

So I'm watching people going back and forth and being snarky, and it has made it to Fandom Wank even. One critic said it was cliche. Well, in my opinion I'd say the more cliche fic for X would be one where Bastard!Seishirou tortures and hurts/rapes Subaru leaving him in a puddle of angst. Why can't a fluffy fic where Subaru is nice, cute and innocent together with a possessive, sexy-as-hell, but nice!Seishirou work? Anyway, it made me cranky for a couple of hours before the ridiculous nature of it all hit me and I started to get as amused as hell. Now, fandom hermitdom has never looked better.

Amused

Woke up bright and early and what do you know -- right there on BT was Clamp in Wonderland. I had a copy of it on a CD rom already but I was curious and dl-ed it. What do you know, this one was subtitled. Pretty good quality with the credits at the end and the four Clamp girls in chibi form. (Totally kawaii!) The credits and the Clamp girls weren't in the other copy I had. So I watched it and got a warm glowy feeling about being in the Clamp fandom once again. And yes, Kamui has big lavender eyes in it. YES YES YES! Those XTV animators screwed up big time when they gave him those scary russet coloured eyes. It was so wrong.

Back at work

Grr, I've got water in my ear and the bubble stubbornly refuses to pop. Anyone has any ideas on what to do?

Anyway here I am now, back at work and feeling sorry for myself that my brief vacation had to end all too soon. Went out for several days, and
1. Saw Pirates of the Caribbean with Alison. Very SLASHY in capital letters, Jonny Depp was funny in it and Will really should have gone after him in the end.
2. Went to my niece's birthday party, which was all right because I could ignore the screaming kids (oh my poor ears) and just chat with my cousins, although I yawned my head off in the afternoon because there was really nothing for the adults to do but sit around.
3. Went shopping. I bought a spiffy black coat without having to pay out much cash thanks to some vouchers I had, and bought a tonne of other stuff that I needed.

Now while Jess is busy with her current projects, I think I shall try to edit some fic, probably Tenshi 5. It's a nice lemon with a wicked twist.
