Just heard the Vienna Phillharmonic Orchestra, very good indeed, no wonder people say they're the best in the world. 2 encores, thats the most I ever heard, and the audience wanted more, but I think the conductor got tired :)

HCL test
woah just had the test yesterday, nearly died. thankfully liqian blessed my lucky blu-tak ;) hmm paper was rather hard though.

I'm feeling relatively happy cos on gunbound, me and this boomer noob went to take on a metal battle axe (JD user) and a double golden axe (on a mage) my teamate got killed and left the room, and me with only one life left (score) knocked out the other two three lives. pretty interesting, cant believe i won. i guess a bit of luck too. mr JD sucked us in together, cos of duoble death, killed himself. I guess they must eb pissed cos a noob just beat them.

Just reuturned from neighbourhood party, my bro didn't want to go, so they went to some french restaurant with my mom and dad. well also, test is over, so feeling pretty happy. nitez!

Peabody Conservatory
It's been a while since I last blogged. Today Mr Hajime Teri Murai came down to give a masterclass. And lotsa ppl were there watching. I'll say he suaned us. cmon, he made us sing. But on the whole, he ain't too bad, and his appearance is hardly what I expected. I was kinda expecting a Michael Lloyd, who conducted Tosca, oh well. I guess lotsa people are going down for his talk tomorrow at the CCAB, but not me. Maybe I should have joined MEP, but what the heck.
These days, more people are posting on the egroup. And we have reached a whopping 2050 messages already, then perhaps we can break a record.

Oh yes, yesterday I participated at the SAFRA total defense day celebration, and the president was up there too...singing. The dinner they provided for us was awful: an attempt at chicken rice (normal rice would have been better), hairy vege, fish that actually tasted like fish judging from the rest, and liver (what on earth was that for?). The worst thing was that the liver didn't even look like liver. But never mind. The indoor air rifle range is so interesting, I soo wanna try out air rifling.

Sad and downcast

[untitled document]
Today starts off as a Monday, I get pissed waking up and going to school, then I remember that there is no school. If you don't know it, it can be a happy feeling.

Not for me.

School is fun, especially if you have finished all your homework, which is something I have not done, so perhaps I am relieved. Come to think of it, I still don't think I've done my homework, then why am I here blogging, I guess I feel like I want to after going blog surfing three blogs.
I cant finally enter Benedict's blog! Yeah! Woohoo, speaking of Benedict, theres art tomorrow, but that's besides the point. So many people seem to be making a big fuss about February, or Valentines day. Should I? Maybe, maybe not. Such a fickle personality. I think I ought to do my chinese worksheet, then perhpas I can find some sanity in there.

Yuguang, Shanghui and Shuli came today to do History project...thingy. Finished it and we all played basketball, except Shuli who can't with his arm, so he plunged into "San Guo Yan Yi" and stayed there reading, and reading, and reading. Gosh, I didn't think he was capable of doing something like that.

Gunbound is still fun, I wonder when the interest will run out, Yixun is now a stone axe, chian fern is now a bloody double-sided silver axe. Wth.
It seems I really have to do those chinese worksheets now so, I will "jai chi ge bi"

RISE Orientation
We had the String Ensemble Orientation yesterday and guess what were the 5 point items on the scavenger hunt list?

1. Mr Sze's (the conductor) shoe
2. High heeled shoe

No one ot the first, but I mangaed to get the second cos Ms Tan so kindly asked her fellow teacher to lend me one. I would also like to thank Ms Tan for lending me her hair clip, Bernard Toh for lending me his music scores for they all contributed to Jingxun's group (the group I was in) winning the scavenger hunt.

Anyway Daryl has convinced me to buy a golden hammer in Gunbound so now I'm left with 13k gold. But I'll earn it back eventually. (can't wait to get that cheif hair) *eyes cheif hair in envy*

Didn't bother watching the Chingay parade at Orchard Road even though I had my lunch at Shaw Center. In fact, I hadn't even heard of the parade until today. That's how blur I am.
Oh well, it's getting kinda late now so I guess I'll archive the page next time I blog another entry, but for now, toodle-oo!

Happy Chinese New everyone!

Anyway, today my mom has just added something else to her ordinary fruit juice mixture: apple, orange, celery, carrot. She just dumped in pomegranate. Urghhh, still I don't think it's worse than wheatgrass. Oh well

Erm happy chinese new year anyway and have a fun weekend! (optimistic)

Hampers
Chinese New Year Hampers, my mom just got one from some person. And some of the snacks inside have been invaded by insects. What a lousy hamper. And the most hilarious thing is that there was a letter inside the hamper saying "We are proud of the quality and packaging of our products" I'm sure.

As for Man Utd fans, sorry, but the wolves just beat you.

Orientation
I know what to blog about, the sec 1 orientation camp ths year. It was completely pathetic. Firstly their yearhead didnt let them touch mud. SO, they replaced the mud with water. Kinda a big difference. Next, they have sleeping bags. Another point, no pushup position and bloody 1 in the morning cos the PSLs are sick of us not moving fast enough and not following precise instructions, and someone said f*** to a PSL. Finally, no Jelly Hill. Sures it's just one game, but it was completely dirty, and i REALLY have to give it up for those seniors who placed themselves in the mucky mud to help us reach the top. So basically thier camp was pathertic, as my limited vocabulary limits my choice of adjectives. In fact the sec ones came back with relatively clean shoes. Geez. So thats all I have to blog about that. Yawn, it's time to sleep.

OOk after a long time I blog again. Well the Raffles Trail got boring after playing Divertimento 5 over tiems, though Mantras is MUCH nicer anyway. It's only the second week of school and I find the homework overwhelming. (I think it's just me)And thats all I have to blog about. Well the Bye!

Gunbound
I really suck at Gunbound. Period. No I really truly suck. I've only won one game out of a possible 20. Sigh, perhaps its not my game. BUT, its FUN! so even if you always lose(practically almost always) it's still worth the fun. It's just a stupid high score table anyway. (talk about sourgrapes) actually maybe not so. But still, it would be nice if I graduated from being a Little Chick. Gunbound players would know what I mean. So thats all I have to say for now. Except.
My two for teachers are Elaine Quah and Kwek something (hcl teacher). Ok then, goodnight.

I'm back
Ok now I'm back from Gold Coast and its Christmas. Maybe I shold talk a little about my holiday.
For starters, on my plane trip there, I see Dennis who is also going to the same hotel. What a coincedence. And then I see Lim Soon Lee at Sea World. Wow, more coincedences. Basically I really enjoyed the trip and learnt that I still can't sleep through my Mum's snoring.
I seem to remember the plane ride back the most, cos I just got off that plane. There seemed to be a huge bunch of people in blue shirts that all knew each other and liked to sing. I bet the woman sitting next to a particularly loud singer was groaning. Super Mario World went to Vanilla Dome twice and stopped, then some F-zero and Megaman, I mean it's 7h. Then read 2 chapters of book. Tucked into SIA's Christmas special dinner, Turkey with Cranberry Sauce. My mom said that up front, the Raffles class had basically the same thing, but it was a salad instead of our barley and ham "salad?" and they had fruits instead of ice-cream. And I know I shouldn't be eating ice-cream, but I did all the same.

Competition
Went to watch Finals for intermediate two days ago. Just Junhong against Amanda. Firstly Amanda has no musicality, completely technical, how on earth did she beat Junhong in Junior last time? And Junhong was incredible. Simply amazing. The moment he started his first note, I just knew he would beat Amanda. He played Bruch Violin Concerto, Bach Sonata, and The banjo and the iddle. All amazing. Then he only got second. At least Amanda only got third. So this time they neglect a First. As usual. So anyway, leaving for Gold Coast tomorrow, so no blogging for a while. Cheerio.

Untitled Document
Unbelievably, truly amazingly, implausibly, incredibly, I have started on my homework. What an anticlimax. Then again how can I have started on my homework and be blogging at the same time? Who knows. Firstly lets take a look at the two jian3 bao4s. I have written down five, FIVE definitions. What an achievement, whoopee! (yeah right) Ok, picks up a complicated looking Chinese worksheet with many unfamiliar neatly printed out but yet absolutely unreadable chinese characters. Puts down the worksheet. Looks at the stamp project. Can't find the stamps. I'm screwed. At this rate I'll never finish it before my holiday. And practically everyone else has already gone on holiday. Have fun Linky!

Ok then while my bro is spending his free time at home filling up application forms, (hopefully he'll make it) he's also getting ready for a trip to England. Cambridge to be precise. Good thing he's going on economy, it'd do him some good. My aunt lent him and my dad some jackets cos it's bloody freezing out there, and boy will he be jealous, cos my dad got a nice long one. Rus has this absolute fascination for long coats/suits/jackets. I mean how many people in this world can spend close to an hour in a coat/suit/jacket shop?!?

Now I guess I'm having more fun, gaining more weight from even more french fries. My mom has gone to Bangkok with my sister and Tiggy the dog is now staying with me. Though last night he disappeared from my room and went to sleep somewhere else. The worst thing about eating all this fast food, is the amount of fat and calories I'm getting, and I can't even lose it cos I CAN'T EXERCISE COS OF MY LEG! geez one more week then I can gradually. I wonder how long it's going to be till I start becoming a Yuan Kang. Now I don't want to seem to be ostracising him, but I think he got his name from a white round type of food generally found in sweet Chinese soups, namely the "Tang yuan". Flip it around and see what you get. Not to mention a slight likeness at general shape and all.
On the bright side, String Ensemble has ended for the year, *phew* or maybe not so. Actually it's quite fun there. At least more fun than staying at home with my mom. Where instead of hearing, "Cellos from bar 97, violins take a break" (sorry guys but you do kind of can't quite play in tune), I hear "Practice your violin! Your lesson is on Tuesday, and if you don't play well enough, I am going to follow you there and see how she scolds you!" Urgh, and if she does she will make me remember that scolding for a long time by continually bringing it up whenever she needs an example. C'mon, she still uses scolding I got from my first violin teacher and that was like 4 years ago?!
Well I'm not taking part in the competition this year. Anyway if I did, I would be SO thrashed. C'mon, in the intermediate section, we have Junhong, doesn't freak you out enough? Then Shanghui, still not enough? Then Shuxiang. Confirm no chance now. Then still a few others like Alan and Rachel. My violin teacher doesn't even think I'm ready for grade 8 so where would be the competition in that? Sigh, I'm really deproving.
Oh well, for piano intermediate I hope Benjamin Chow wins, (Hold up the legacy boy!) then Joel Kan, and of course Nicolson. (I don't see how he didn't get a single prize last time).

Now I've been blogging for quite a lot, well at least it seems a lot, I guess I'd better get started on my homework for now. Take this as a weeks worth of bloggings, for last week. Lets just hope I can reach the pen before I fall asleep. Aw shucks, too late...*clunk*

Homework
There is too much homework for all last minute work slackers. I wonder why we have to get stupid homework in the Dec holidays. Then again I shouldn't call it "stupid" cos homework isn't. "stupid" is only used for things like erm specific animals (don't yell at me, I can't think of anything better). So homework is annoying. Yup I'll bet everyone agrees.

Anyway I just had my stiches removed and my leg still looks horrible. Thats all I have to say. Cheerio!

Stupid Water Coolers
Well I haven't blogged for a seriously long time. Basically I cut my foot on the water cooler on Wednesday, last day of String Ensemble camp. RI guys go check the one in the junior block, first floor, it's dented. Then I got sent to hospital to have it stiched up urmph. The camp was fun. First night forced to sleep, second night played Risk. For the first time in my life, I actually completed a game of Risk. The final battle was me against Samuel Lim, 76 armies on 73. We were rolling the dice for like 15 min. For meals I probably gained a hell of weight with that amount of fast food. 1 macdonald, 1 KFC, 1 Mos burger, 1 Long John Silvers and a chicken rice. Thats a lot of unhealthy food.

Today was String Ensemble concert. sigh I had to be concert master for the first piece and this solo where I just knew I would screw up. Then not to mention a slight walking disability from the left leg, and tomorrow I'm going to a Maths camp, I'll have to bring my MC. So basically my Mom's trip to Shanghai wasn't as fun as I expected as I didn't get that much time on the computer and catching up on Diablo II, and to crown it al, I have barely touched my holiday homework, just a pathetic little bit. Xi you Ji is ridiculously long and hard.

Thats al the time I have to blog for now, and it was like blogging a weeks worth of blogs. *Yawn* wanna sleep. Goodnight.

Beethoven Violin Concerto in D Major
Oh looky, I havent blogged in such a long time, possibly this will be a nice loooong blog, probably not, it always seems so long and it turns ou very short. Maybe I'll turn up the font size...;) (maybe not)

Anyways, day before yesterday went to see the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra at Esplanade. Quite good I'll say. And the soloist played guess what? duh, Beethoven's violin Konzert (concerto) in D dur (major). I like that piece. I may add it to my list of favourite pieces. On it is one so far.

1. Tchaikovsky's violin concerto in D major

Wow, who knew D major could be such a nice Key. =) Owch the scale is annoying though the bloody HIGHEST THREE OCTAVE SCALE IN THE WHOLE OF GRADE 8. at least we dont have to do E or F 3 octaves *phew* Anyways Seemed like Kai Ping, Mr Sze and Shanghui went. Saw Kai Ping and borrowed Mr Sze's phone. Can't believe I was so BLUR and didn't notice Shaggy behind me. Kai Ping left String Ensemble at 5 and wondered how I made it on time by leaving at 5.30. So I told him how on Earth Mr Sze could make it on tiem leaving at 6, Shanghui too. Oh well, all that was two days ago, maybe I'll blog about Thursday.

Ok so waht happened on Thursday. Lemme see, woke up, forced by Mom to do stupid Yoga "sun salute" thingy. Sucks. Then hmm, played violin for a long time, came to chat on the com, got caught by mom, sent back to play even more violin, threatened not to let me go on holiday if Idid not play enough violin, as if 1 hr wasn't good enough. Then lunch, two more hours in the afternoon, can kill man. Luckily had SSO open house briefing. Have to be stupid guide. Guess what? I'm red. Oh wow. Anyway, the five people who were "specially chosen" by Mrs Wong were:

1. Me (red)
2. Alan (blue)
3. Wenyi (purple)
4. Tiap Yang (green)
5. Jonathan Koh (yellow)

Sighz, won't be at least a week before open house, have to stand with little kiddies, 70 of them and lead them around. I hope I don't forget anything.

Today String Ensemble again, ooh and violin lesson. I got out alive. =) *phew again*
Happens today the least of interesting stuffs happened to me. Maybe except gong to Chinese class. Waiting for my dad, guess who I met. Jon's mom and dad! Jonathan James Ng to be precise, the uber-ultra-hyper-super rich guy =D WOW cool huh. Oh well, other than that chinee class was fun hahaz, exams over, she let us play cards and do our work at the same time. Obviously played taiti. ;)
Argh blog for so long now and listening to perhaps my favourite song at the same time for "musical educational enrichment" ;) To fool my mom, and also cos I like it anyhow. This com doesnt have Final Fantasy music to listen too. Ah final fantasy......... *snaps back into real world* Oh well anyways, got to go now I guess. Byez everyone after such a loooong entry.

Matwix
I went to go bowling and watch Matrix Revolutions today wif my class and 1I and Nelson. Cos we met him and the bowling club/team at SAFRA Yishun. First round I started off with a strike and 3 more later in that game. And I got a lousy 88 points. Nice. How pathetic. Other two games also lousy 94 and 106. Matrix was interesting. Better than Reloaded at any rate. I like the APUs fighting. So cute and interesting.

Now, a nice little paragraph dedicated to Chua Shenghao aka Hallow Vampire. Thanks for getting my scrollbar. Thank you very much.

Okay, enough blogging, I'm sleepy, and I need to play violin. 1 1/2 hrs cannot please mom. Goodnight all.

Sleepy Again
Yawn, went to watch Ong Bak today. Interesting I msut say fight scenes are not bad, can compare to films like Drunken Master(Jackie Chan) or Fist of Legend(Jet Li). Not a bad big baddie too. A handicapped man who thinks he is god. Good fight scenes and the stunts are great! All the jumping around. I'll eat my shorts if a western film ca get such good kung fu and stuff. I mean even Matrix ain't nearly as good as the worst of those chinese kung-fu movies I've watched. Speaking of Matrix, I think I'm going to watch Revolutions with the rest of my class. And going bowling too! That's so fun.

Now I wanna sleep and get ready for a tiring week coming up. Goodnight everyone.

Stupid concerts
Oh looky, been a long time since I last blogged, almost as long as the last time I saw Linky online :) Anyways changed some [Linkies](yup, it is to honour you) already to new addies like Shenghao, I like your new blog, looks great.=) And I've taken out Vivian. Waaa she deleted it :'( Wheee, I also, like you all know already, archived my page! *looks around anxiously waiting for people to clap.... *disappointed but undaunted. Anyway, I should think about changing the format, it seems pretty old.
ANYWAY there are so many concerts coming up. This Sat before IRS exhibition theres the SYTO concert at VCH, I hope I make it in time for IRS, or I will personally kill Mrs Wong. And for the same reason, there will only be 1 double bass player left. Wow. Can't wait to see Rayner performing his amazing IRS project, a trio for Violin(Shanghui, the amazing Shaggy!)), flute(Mervyn I think), and Double bass(duh, thats what Rayner plays).
ANYWAY once again, 30 Nov have string ensemble concert wheee, we're all sooo dead. tralala. Guess what, it's at the esplanade. Recital studio thankfully, not the biggie hall. So many concerts, can''t wait for String Ensemble camp. Oh hi, Kai Ping has started coming. Yay! I hope we get him before badminton snatches him away.

Now I've blabbed about a whole lot, it's time for me to stop using the com. But as usual, this will turn into a very short blog when I view it on screen. Anyway (I bet you thought there weren't any more of these) goodnight! Zzz
