Tuesday, April 16, 2002 Yay, I almost finished my new layout! *proud* *proud* I well... felt like doing something contradictory, and as today was the first really hot day, I made a Christmas type anime layout [I have no clue what anime, but it's very cute] ^^ oh well, you'll understand whe I finish it... Svet bounced away @ 10:06 p.m. [...] Sunday, April 14, 2002 Yesterday Sean called me. The exact conversation was: Sean: Hey, would you like to come with my parents to see a movie? We're leaving right away... Svet: Sure, I'll just ask my parents... [blocks the phone] Moooom, daaaaaad, can I go see a movie with Sean? Mom: [from another room][without asking where/when/what... the 5 w's, what] Of course, sweetheart. Svet: Ok, comming... Did you notice something? Yes, I dind't ask what movie we were about to see. Great mistake of mine. I was about to watch "Resident Evil", a horror/sci-fi/action/gore [new cathegory] movie from 7 pm to 9 pm. Do you know what that movie is about? People that run in corridors full of zombies, die, and surprise us with exremly high pitched sounds [Ok if you want the detailed story try cinemamontreal.com. We see decapitations, "démembrements", wounds, nastyness and I didn't mention all the blood yet. OUCH rated 8/10? 6th ion the top ten? 625 votes? Mmmm... I admit it scared the freak out of me, and the ending is.... ouuuuuuh Let’s analyse the bad and good sides [hey, it is MY opinion, so don’t yell at me]: 1. Gore alert 2. Blood alert 3. Decapitation alert 4. Actors play well [Miss Jovovich rocks] 5. According to the people who played the video game, they don’t change the story 6. [IMPORTANT] If you’re invited to see the movie, be aware: block your ears all the time !! If you have to check the time, wait until there’s a big battle, NOT a suspiciously silent scene, because there WILL be a zombie popping out of nowhere at ANY cost. I warned you. When I left the theater, my ears hurted because of my fingers. Mr. X, who didn’t block his ears is DEAF now. [lol] There's one person's opinion that rated that movie 10/10: “First off, no need to be a Resident Evil fan to enjoy this movie, but I'm sure it helps. I personnally don't like the game that much. Also, on a side note, I don't know if anybody thought of this, but when they start describing the Umbrella Corporation, you could almost swear they were talking about Microsoft. Makes me wonder on what Bill Gates could be hiding. :) But anyway, this movie was awesome. The only flaw was the sound effects, which were at times too loud and incoherent. The music in the background really rocked though. It's one of the VERY FEW movies that made me jump out of my seat at various occasions. I also found that some scenes seemed like a revamped version of the Micheal Jackson video "Thriller". I found that amusing. If you just like watching a good thriller now and then, this movie is really a MUST SEE!!! There's one person's opinion that rated the movie 1/10: “I didn't like this movie at all, I expected so much more... The plot was almost non-existant, Corp. Makes secret monsters... kill monsters... escape. C'mon, it was poor and boring... and what was the main char's name again? They might've said it twice. The only one with any char. development was Rayne, or whatever, and that was because you could feel bad when she died. Through in the complimentary senseless lesbian tension between the 2 chicks, and it just adds to the pointless gratification of this movie. But, if you *like* pointless movie with loads of action, well check it out.” Errr…….. At least after, they invited me to the vietnamese resto, so I could forget all the delicious scenes [but of course Sean loved the movie and kept reminding them to me, if you know what I mean] Svet bounced away @ 12:51 p.m. [...] Sunday, April 14, 2002 Maaaan... I was extremely pissed off this week cause I was looking at my blog and thinking how terrible [even if cute] it was compared to everyone elses' [well maybe not everyone but..] But suddently I realized that it wasn't awful because the layout sucked [even if it does] but because I stopped writing in it [because I felt that the layout was terrible]. And now I'm even more depressed [if that's possible] because now I realize that I'm in a vicious circle [cercle vicieux?] that'll never end! Svet bounced away @ 01:49 p.m. [...] Saturday, April 6, 2002 She's baaaaaack! Yup, finally back from my crazy trip to the Dominican Republic, and now ; back to work >.< Life is hard... Er... admit that the most things you have to say, the most blank your sheet [screen in this case] is. So um... yeah everything was all right. I just really don't feel like talking about sun and food and the hotel... I'll just briefly talk about my trip back to Monty cuz I feel like it. [good enough reason] Oh deaaar. If anyone ever saw a worse airport than the Punta Cana one, mail me right away!!! They don't even have walls T_T and one Nestea can cost 4US$... And I won't even talk about the plastic chairs [couldn't feel my butt after 30 mins] or the fact that a guy almost stole 30$ from my dad... miserable life. Air Transat... well um... sucks? The seats are so small that even I can't fit in them [the first one who treats me of fat will meet my fist]. Again I don't talk about a Landryesque old Quebecois who made everything to make my flight miserable. Svet bounced away @ 09:42 a.m. [...] Thursday, March 28, 2002 I was hum totally abandoning my blog lately [if you haven't noticed] but I can explain it with the simple reasonning that the worst part of a school year occurs four times a year. We have an extraordinary amount of exams, orals, projects... we students simply don't have time to breathe. Well now that part has ended! Hum today was probably the worst day of my life. Primo, we had a "health day" at our school. If you wanna know everything, it's sec. 3 students doing boring orals in front of us. And I didn't say the subjects were intresting >.< Segundo, Luci wasn't there so I couldn't share my depression with her. Tercio, I wanted to leave school but my parents weren't home but Larissa left! Can you imagine? At least Nat was there the afternoon for me... Oh, and I forgot one of the reasons of my bad day; tommorrow I fly away to Dominican Republic !! Hurray! Well let's start with the bad stuff: we got our physics exam, it was pretty hard, and I just realized that in the formula on the last number I did x 100000 instead of /100000. Oh well life goes on. AY is the champ again! Hurray for him! It was so cute when he raised four fingers at the end of his free program. ^^ Wow, so many 6.0s! Hehe, I am NOT complaining. Well finally [maybe not] I am going to see a russian show with Eugénie this night. The star? The guy who played D'Artagnan in that cool and classical russian adaptation of the 3 musketeers! I am gonna see him live [er... I dreamed of this moment for all my life! right.] Hmmm I think greymatter was cool :( Anyways could you girlz please tell me what name/password I have to put and where? Svet bounced away @ 04:18 p.m. [...] Friday, March 15, 2002 Wow, I just finished watching Star Wars Trilogy (didn't see the 1st Episode yet...), and I must tell I was very surprised by the quality of the VIth Episode! But for now, let's start from the beginning... Episode IV It is clearly an introduction. It's pretty hard to follow the story at the beginning and you always wonder when the long parts will end and they will skip to action. Speaking about action... do you actually see any action in that movie? I mean 4 good guys (2 men, 1 girl, 1 EP [hum, the monkey-thing], oh and these helpless robots that get destroyed 1,000,000 times in the movies) and you see 20 bad guys with red lasers after them. Of course, the good people get to shoot one or two hits before they mortally wound the bad guys dressed in white plastic armor, btw. The BG (bad guys) shoot as if they were at twenty thousand meters from them or had an eyelash stuck in their eye (hey, talking about eyelashes that get stuck in yer eye, what do you do if it actually happens when, uh... dunno, you're piloting an airship or worse, watching EP fall... ok, I'm getting pretty off-topics, am I?). Anyway the actors don't play too well in this film and the special effects are bad, but let's get in mind that it's a classic and enjoy the movie :) Episode V OK, correct me if I'm wrong ; this episode is disguisting! How many times did you see mutilated people/creatures? From that part where Luke cuts the Yeti's arm to the part that AY cuts EP's leg... wait a second, I was lost in my thoughs... I meant Darth V. cuts Luke's hand. Ewwww. And he seems not to care that now he has no right hand ?? Weird people. Weird. Oh, and also I was a bit dissapoinded with the famous scene where Darth Vader tells Luke that he's his lovely daddy... Darth Vader: Blah, blah, blah, blah, I'm your father, blah, blah, blah... Luke: Nooooooooooooooooo... Episode VI Ohhh, this one I just watched and I'll have things to say. In this movie, there are lots of things realted to the storyline, and this I loooove. Strangely, there were a few punches that I never even heard about that appeared in that film... Thinking about it ; no that's not strange... O.o [Well ok, hope you still follow me cause I don’t] The little bears in the forest are so cute ^^ Da hell tell me can a year –2500 technology can beat a year 3000 one? Isn't there 5500 years of difference? Can rocks beat lasers? Are teddy bears intelligent? No, yes, no, no, no... And also Leia's *pretty* cool but she's sometimes pissing me off... Leia: I just felt in me that Luke isn't dead. Solo: You love him right? Leia: Yes I love him. Solo: D'oh Leia: Not like you think Solo: ... I decided not to archive the last one, as it was terrible and only had about 5 entries :P I think the layout is pretty cute, though very simple ^^ I did not quite finish though as I want to add doggy footprints on the right... oh well. Then finally, as there's always at least one problem everywhere, this time, it's the fact that where the toppest entry shows up, the separation between the dark and pale colours, we don't see the text well @.@ Oh, and I also decided that pagenames are totally useless and I had no more imagination for titles.... I don't have time now so I'll resume it in a few sentences : My house was built in the 50's so it's kinda old, so we realized our roof was totally screwed up (I can repeat this as much as I want, na!). The peeps we hired (6000$ with taxes! Can u tell me why the downstairs neighbors (us) have to pay MORE than the upstairs ones!?) woke me up around 6:30 with their noise comming from hell (amen Lucifer-sama). Now our house smells like a pigsty with fuel oil T_T Before going to the chienese resto with my mom, I had my 2nd violin course. Wasn't so bad even though I wasn't exactly in the mood... Yay! Almost the 8th of March! In Russia, it's a very important holiday, and all woman receive presents (me included :P). Dang need to find sumthin' for my mom O.o Wow, I just realized I still need a picture to separate my entries... Today I'm supposed to go skating with Nat, but according to my parents, she called me when I was at my math courses and she still didn't call back T_T Yay, yay, and double yay! Our planning evil went so well!
