11:16 p.m. havent been blogging on a daily basis. today returned spanglish. the dumb overdue charge was $4. i shouldnt have rented from music junction. while i was paying, i turned around and oooh i got all excited coz... sammi ultimate collection is out! but its frigging expensive, $45.95. went to expo for the nth time in this month for the natas fair with gujie. i dislike going to the expo. anyway the fair was boring. except that they had buses inside and we went in to sit, and the tv screen was showing wah-zai's kang xi lai le interview. i didnt want to leave the seat. after that went to visit my grandparents. and opened the expensive compilation album. i thought there was a pictorial or something like that but in it was only the lyrics book. =( friday, 29 september 2006 filmed for assignment 3. it was like a town trip coz we went from pasir ris (excluding me) to raffles place to suntec to hong lim park and then back to school. problems kept arising, such as people refusing to be interviewed, final cut having problems, etc. collected wu yen vcd from a friendly seller. the show is lame but funny. watched some other clips of mi on youtube, which included a pepsi ad of mi only, interviews with wah-zai, mi's "mm hai ah fah", and a mv with mi and jackie chan. his singing is super opera-ish. thursday, 28 september 2006 filmed for 221 assignment 2. we took up the whole afternoon and night. khaiyan's hall cat is utterly adorable. yunxin's cousin's dog is probably the fattest dog ive ever seen, and being at its size, its also the first time ive heard of a big dog being afraid of people. but its still a cute doggie. when we entered yunxin's cousin's house, her scv was showing fantasy hotel episode 1. i told my groupmates that it is my favourite show. well it actually isnt, but i like it, and im so familiar with it that i can memorise the whole show. anyway, that reminded me that the vcds are out on sale. upon reaching home, papa said i have a parcel! yayness. my vcds are here. so despite having to wake up early the next day, i still watched love on a diet and marry a rich man. heh. wednesday, 27 september 2006 oh i cant remember what i did on wednesday. i didnt do anything constructive. hmmm. oh yah i remembered. i surfed for mi's clips on youtube, and saw the pepsi ad with the other artistes. and watched the mv of ladies first. oooh i like the song!!! =D
11:48 p.m. today HAPPY BIRTHDAY YONGJIE! had 222 discussion in school. came home, did housework and then watched spanglish. i started at 5pm and finished at 11pm, because in between i kept pausing to take notes, bathe, eat dinner, watch better halves, and eat yongjie's birthday cake. the more i watch fighting for love, the more i like it, and the more i feel that tony leung looks a bit like stephen chow. and the dual sound version has mi's music video! =)
sammi: 我肯卑你恼，大把野你恼啦！ i like the above sentence and dialogue. in chinese simplified encoding. monday, 25 september 2006 went to kino to find something but couldnt find it. saw quite a lot of mi's old albums in sembawang at orchard. dont know whether i should start another collection or not, because it will cost me hundreds to collect all of mi's 40+ albums. then i rented spanglish for my movie analysis. and bought fighting for love, even though i have the mandarin version. the cantonese version is a million times better. i love summer holiday. its light-hearted, funny, sad, sweet. every scene is perfectly colourful. nice cast, nice songs, nice scenery, nice ending. =) after reading millie's reply, i feel like crap. she thinks that my script is like crap. so now i feel that everything is beginning to look like crap. craps.

04:58 p.m. long time no blog. either i was too busy to blog, or i just cant be bothered to recollect the events that happened during the past few days. since now you see this, means i finally bothered. today jasmine's going hk again! she's going from tuesday to thursday, just to go there to do stock take. busy job she has, but im sure she enjoys going hk from time to time. =) ive bought love for all seasons and good times, bed times from hk. hopefully it comes soon so i can watch. saturday, 23 september 2006 wanted to buy the hk puzzle, but i dont think i'll have time to fix it during this so-called holiday. found one movie for my movie analysis. yay shall rent it on monday. since i cant find the movies that i want in the stores, and the rental stores claimed that they dont have movies that are sooo old, im glad that i still can rely on auctions. thus im back to yahoo auctions retail therapy. as usual the singapore auctions only have a few movies in cantonese, so ive moved to the hk auctions. heh heh. and ive made a happy discovery! there's a cool mi site that is quite updated. whats more... sammi ultimate collection is out!!! her newest compilation album with 3 CDs and 2 DVDs. hopefully its not a cheaterbug album like flora's compilation album. yay will buy it soon. more money gone. friday, 22 september 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASMINE!
the busy girl is too busy to meet up to celebrate her birthday. thursday, 21 september 2006 the 201 quiz was quite tough. but was glad it was over.
you know the holidays are approaching when: i did the above three steps. i was at music junction browsing through their racks of movies, and found summer holiday vcd, which is thankfully in cantonese! they have some other dvds too but the dvds are far more expensive. went to popular, saw the new flora compilation album, and i bought it, since it was so cheap might as well buy it. even though i already have all the songs in that album, i still bought it, thinking that maybe they have some nice pictures of flora inside. ahhh no the interior was plain like nothing. bah. hopefully her new album will have more colours besides purple and pink. and so i watched summer holiday, and it is nice! except that i cant stand richie ren's cantonese dubbing. even the one for tay ping hui was better. haha but mi was nice in it. =) wednesday, 20 september 2006 there was a 222 quiz. luckily i took a cab from boon lay otherwise i would have missed it. no forensic lecture today, so i went to buy needing you vcds. in the end it was the mandarin version. i found out that i had another sammi movie in my house, called fighting for love, but ive never watched it before. so i did, and urgh its another mandarin-dubbed version. why cant singapore import the movies with their original voices? tuesday, 19 september 2006 everyone was frantically studying on monday, but it turned out that the midterm was to be on thursday. so everyone was glad coz i think almost everyone hadnt finished studying by tuesday. after 202 lecture, i went to meet the girls for meiqi's farewell dinner. it has been three months since she was back in singapore but it seemed like a flash. i initially wanted to write about the encounter with the mind cafe waiter who claimed that their cafe didnt have a company phone, but the feedback that i got from cuicui was that it wasnt funny, even though yimyiu, who was partly in the picture, couldnt stop laughing after hearing it. so im not writing about it; it isnt important anyway. the important thing is that all of us had fun! thanks grace for the discount voucher! settlers was fun! monday, 18 september 2006 we finished editing 221 assignment 1. and we managed to cut it until 1.5 minutes. yay. i bought yesterday once more, and i like it a lot. the ending is quite sad, but its still a nice movie.
11:15 p.m. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSLYN! did quite a bit of things despite still being sick. watched love on a diet on channel u. even though it has been repeating over and over, i still like to watch it. its the sammi effect. her shows are somewhat silly, but i still like them a lot. since recess is coming, and i have a movie analysis to do, i shall buy all the sammi movies to watch.
01:32 p.m. today i had a long night yesterday from 10pm to this morning, waking up every half an hour to go toilet and eat sweets to curb the sore throat. today is somewhat better, at least my right ear isnt blocked like yesterday. time to hit the books. friday, 15 september 2006 was quite pissed over projects. plus i was terribly sick- the sore throat extended into a cough and runny nose. eclipse and water were my life saviour. we have decided to reshoot some scenes for 221 on monday. and 201 midterms is next week. the timing is just perfect; everything is due next week and here comes mr flu. i ended up being super angry about projects. thursday, 14 september 2006 there was a pop quiz for 201. luckily i wasnt very late. 221 editing was postponed to tomorrow. after the ulcer left, my body gave out signals that i might have a sore throat anytime. the darn macdonalds. wednesday, 13 september 2006 after forensic science, yimyiu, yanting and i went to hk cafe at marina square for dinner. their dessert came in a huge portion, that it looked like a mountain. the three of us ate the sides, leaving a tower to form in the middle. all of a sudden that tower fell off, and yimyiu started saying that was "the leaning tower of apple". i couldnt stop laughing. then she quickly changed it to "the leaning tower of eiffel". and yanting corrected her that it was the eiffel tower. and yimyiu continued "oh its the leaning tower of pizza!" all i did was to get into a laughing fit. initially i wanted to correct her that the "tower" wasnt made of apple; it was made of mango. look at how ridiculous the three of us were. after that we walked around the empty marina square. i almost caught a picture of shisanyi in her cun gu shirt from zara. hahah no thanks to the person who walked past when she came out. i like the holey shoe from novo! might buy that when i have money.
11:13 p.m. today spent my 6-hour break in the mmlab editing my 221 video. we just couldnt cut everything to 1.5 minutes. shall continue on thursday. and we have decided to stick to our half-certified topic. i realised the computers at islab can burn dvds! goody. my brother is hooked to good against evil. i thought it was nice, but i wasnt exactly hooked. anyway, i just updated my calendar for the next two months, and i see one bunch of red notes about the impending deadlines for the various projects and midterms. i find it absurd that we have to submit an interview data set (meaning 18 interviews!!) for one topic next friday when we havent even come up with a schedule yet. kwan hoi san (or the grandfather in kindred spirit) passed away yesterday morning. rest in peace. monday, 11 september 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEIXIN! i finished watching good against evil. again i feel that the ending was kind of rushed. 221 project was stumped, because the HAS is going to be released anytime soon. privileged is finally updated. i love reading privileged.
11:03 p.m. today ps. chinese words in chinese simplified encoding. watched episodes 13 to 15 of good against evil. initially i thought this show was a crappy show, because kennise said it wasnt nice. however as i watched, without skipping any scenes, the show became very intriguing. full of mystery, even though some parts were redundant. up till now i still dont know who killed the real wah hark (deric wan). meiheng's character in the show is a songstress, somewhat like heung ling but a less haughty one. she had quite little scenes, and got paired up with an ugly fellow. what was nice was the whole storyline, about how a thief impersonated a detective and in turn becoming one. but what i like most, was the part where siu din (meiheng) and sister grape (sheren tang) conversed in shanghainese. its damn cool, i tell you! and during some parts where they talked about their own relationships, it resembled a lot like LFD-- how hilda and ko ling confided in each other. i also like that meiheng was somewhat cute in here. she would always say "晓啦，晓啦" instead of "知道啦". and in one scene she said "chin chye" and i burst out laughing. i noticed that the characters in the show have spastic names, such as 伍浩昌 (no.5 gun), 徐三富 (take off shirt and pants), 练武功 (practice martial arts), 巢诞诞 (smelly eggs), 紫葡萄 (purple grapes), and many others. luckily siu din doesnt sound as spastic. i have 5 more episodes to go. heh heh. finally finished my photomontage, so i can blog about the past few days. i cant wait for recess week. saturday, 09 september 2006 went to the food expo with gujie. as usual, being disabled by the ulcer, i cant eat anything heaty or pricky, yet half the food there belonged to these two categories. but i bought half a dozen of glass ball soda (弹珠汽水) that tasted yummy. watched another 6 episodes of good against evil. friday, 08 september 2006 still obstructed by the dumb ulcer. tongue hurts like hell. its finally the weekend (and its going to end real quick), so i decided to make use of the fixed dvd player to watch good against evil, aka the thief show. watched episodes 1 to 6.

11:59 p.m. today been super busy these days hence the lack of updates. even though the dvd player is working, i cant fork out time to watch my shows. my only free day, which is tomorrow, will be taken up by 221 filming. grrr. all because of an old shirt. i understand the young one's agony. at the same time i respect the old one's point of view. being sandwiched, i dont have much of an opinion to offer. i just became the female version of siu chun hang in RAS. it seems that i do have the talent for sewing. tuesday, 05 september 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPO! there was a pop quiz for 202. luckily i read the textbook during the long break. am troubled by 202 and 221 assignments, the never-ending readings, and the pop quizzes that might pop out anytime. and the upcoming projects. monday, 04 september 2006 i slept during 221 lecture. much as the lecturer is a nice guy, his voice is really like a lullaby. when i got home, the dvd player was fixed; the old stereo set was wiped out of the tv console; the toilet light was fixed, and everything else was neat and tidy. papa must have spent a lot of time tidying the place. =) sunday, 03 september 2006 went back to the comex fair with yimyiu to buy her digicam. i was hesitating to buy the mp3, and in the end i didnt buy any. visited my grandparents and watched RAS at their house. the kitchen toilet light in my house was flickering.
11:08 p.m. today went comex fair with yimyiu. she bought discs and a new mouse, while i bought discs and papa's webcam. the thing is, papa wanted a webcam because he "want to try to use it". the brother and i were wondering who he can webcam to. after some consideration, yimyiu wants to buy a camera, so she psycho-ed me to accompany her tomorrow. the environment of the comex fair is such that there is an air of impulsiveness to spend money on probably a useless electronic gadget, thinking that it will be super worth it to get it so cheap. so i'd better think a hundred times whether to get an mp3 player or just be contented with my good 'ol discman. missed the first half of RAS because i came home late, and we went over to a neighbour's grandchild's full-month buffet. its going to be a tired and busy month. friday, 1 september 2006 went to send jessica off with eileen. talked to her a bit. after she went in with 5 boxes of pandan cakes, i rushed down to school to continue watching bend it like beckham in 222 lecture. the show is hilarious! as we advance to week 4, the projects are piling like mad, and so are the readings! the 202 assignment is due in less than 2 weeks; and so is the 221 assignment. argh.
