05:39 p.m. i am less pissed now. i dont stay angry for more than a day. so this time round i can say i was only pissed for a few hours. hahahah. when im really pissed, you can see me literally fuming. people in co and my friends will know that. but after a while, on reflection, i will feel that i should not have done what i did. haiz.
so yah. im not that angry anymore. shall call the rental auntie later. so the orders are as follows:
04:23 p.m. this is one pissed off entry. leave if you want a happy mood. went to ntu to have the tuition fee loan endorsed. everything went smoothly. went to the bank and handed in the form. before i leave i had specifically asked the lady whether everything's ok and she said yeah. and so i left the bank at 3pm. walked around causeway point for 20 minutes. waited for the bus for 10 minutes. the stupid bank person called me when the bus just moved out of the interchange. she said i had signed in the wrong box. and she wanted me to go down immediately and she asked if im still in the building. HELL NO! what the hell. i decided that i should settle it once and for all so i took the same bus back to the interchange. i was super pissed. #1: it was the incompetent bank officer who asked me to sign on that spot when he witnessed papa and i sign on the acceptance form. HE WAS THE FELLOW WHO DIDNT OPEN HIS EYES. i naturally followed his instructions coz he was the officer and im just an applicant. so it wasnt my fault for signing in the wrong place. #2: when i handed in the form just now, i had asked the next imcompetent officer to check and she said everything was okay. SHE SHOULD HAVE CHECKED ON THE SPOT AND GO THROUGH EVERYTHING BEFORE I LEAVE THE BANK!!!! #3: i didnt leave the building immediately; i was still walking around the area for 20 WHOLE MINUTES. it goes to show that the lousy staff delayed the darn process for 20+10 minutes. i wouldnt have mind going back to the bank if i was still there. BUT NO! THEY TOOK THEIR OWN SWEET TIME TO DO THEIR JOB AND LOOK WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO ME!!! #4: everything boils down to their fault being inefficient in their job. check check check. simple checking wont kill them. i was already pissed off when saturday i went down with papa and there were TWO obvious counters that were EMPTY and NOBODY bothered to call out the next customer number. oh yeah, every other staff kept asking us what we were there for and yet they didnt bother to serve us until i became very pissed off and retorted back at them. so back to the bank. i reached there looking obviously fuming with anger. the manager came out and asked me to sign again. wah i was damn angry. i told the manager that it was HER STAFF who had instructed me to sign at that spot where you said it was the wrong box. and THEY HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK BEFORE I LEAVE THEIR BANK. like how would i know i signed the wrong box? coz i trusted HER STAFF and that piece of paper was to be signed IN FRONT OF A BANK OFFICER. so its not like i pre-signed it myself. WASTED MY TIME AND GOT ME BOILING MAD. came home to vent my anger. opened my mail and got jasmine's email about the PSLE math question saga. the triangle with 3cm height and 4cm length and a right angle in between. the question wanted the student to find out the diagonal length of the triangle. and the whole nation is saying that the primary school kids cant solve such a question. I WANT TO STRANGLE EVERY BRAINLESS ADULT WHO SAID THAT. #1: the answer can be found using cosine rule. but never mind, no normal primary school kid knows that. #2: it is fully understood that the triangle in question is a standard triangle. meaning that it has a definite answer with lengths 3-4-5. i learnt that in primary five. coming from a neighbourhood primary school, my teachers could teach me that. there is no reason for 12 year old kids seven years after my graduation not to be taught that. #3: the lengths given are 3cm and 4cm. any kid with brains will know how to take out their ruler and draw the triangle out in full scale and get their answer. which is a definite 5cm. and parents complain that the answer can never be gotten. WHAT RUBBISH. its not like they give weird numbers. what is the world coming to.
11:03 p.m. today tv was fixed by papa. =) found a fantastic website with all the extinct tvb themesongs that i always wanted to find, but not all songs are inside. studystudystudy.
saturday, 29 october 2005 gujie came over. i usually cannot study whenever gujie comes coz i always feel obliged to keep her company. went to causeway point to buy groceries and met up with kennise to get the tvb lighting clip from her. thanks! =D tv wasnt working coz the screen couldnt show the pictures but the sounds could be heard.
11:00 p.m. finally finished my 101 summary assignment. told kenny about it and he requested for an MC to verify that i did have an operation. luckily i had asked the dentist for it. hopefully they accept my MC. hahaha. financial woes. boohoohoo. wants exceed budget. went to causeway point to buy dinner. some weird woman approached me and asked if i was above 15 years old. she asked me to help her redeem some shopping vouchers. i figured that one person can only redeem once, so i agreed to help her coz i wont have anything to lose. and so i redeemed the vouchers and handed them to the woman and she didnt even thank me!!!! not a single word from her!! she acted strangely and she has an ugly hairdo. i could have ran away with her vouchers! and she didnt thank me! hello i dont have any obligations to help her ok, i did that out of goodwill and that was what i got in return. wah lau she really spoilt my mood for the day. darn i should have scolded her on the spot. eileen says meihang is on the cover of next magazine. but i cant find it.
11:04 p.m. today
wednesday, 26 october 2005 planned my study timetable. tried to finish the individual report but i was too tired and fell asleep without realising. nowadays the only few songs i listen to are the theme songs of into thin air and fantasy hotel. the themesong for ITA is quite nice. do you know that newspapers can absorb smell easily? this guy who was sitting beside me on the train took out his newspapers to read. it was monday's papers. and it reeked of toilet smell. eeew!! the gross smell of urine and shit all mixed up... i cant continue anymore. im certain that fellow took the papers to read while shitting. i wanted to run away. but luckily after a while he kept his papers, and the smell went away as well. urgh. due to overwhelming response (actually only from yanting and jean), i have decided to open the orders for the 2006 tvb calendars to everyone who reads my blog or know me personally to order through me. coz i dont want to trouble the nice rental auntie by calling her up every other day to add orders. so if you want to buy the 2006 tvb calendar (the large one), please sms me or drop a note in my tagboard. not sure who will be in it, but definitely most tvb full-time artistes. this year there will be 70 plus people in the calendar. so i have no idea how they are going to squeeze all of them inside. sure have those small little newcomers who i personally dont like. price not sure too, but should be 10-odd dollars. i will be informed when to collect. so hopefully someone accompanies me back to pasir ris to lug the damn heavy calendars home. hahahha. *orders for 2006 tvb calendars will be open till midnight of sunday, 30 october.*
11:12 p.m. today removed my stitches. the dentist removed it very roughly so it was very very painful the moment he removed it. but after a while it was ok. not much pain anymore and i can open my mouth bigger now. met up with karen to get back my TGUIT vcds. she showed me where the video rental shop at yishun was, and the auntie said that the tvb calendars have to be pre-ordered in september to be able to get it in december. =( so when i reached home, i dug out the number of the pasir ris rental shop and secured an order there. =D hhhahahaaah. june still owed me my 2004 tvb calendar!!!! i paid for it already and it will be almost 2 years late. finished my 111 group report (my parts) in one hour. actually i think that report is quite simple, because im used to writing jian3 tao3s for previous CO events so im quite good at that. ahhahahaha. now im left with the individual report and the disgusting 101 summary. to sidetrack, after rewatching a few episodes of hard fate, tiffany gave birth to tung tung on 13 september. look at previous post about discrepancies. march to august to september. and worse, they said it was a premature birth! ahhahaha. the usual tvb loopholes. monday, 24 october 2005 HAPPY BIRTHDAY YVONNE! continued on 108 project. we stayed at the mac lab for like 10 hours to finish posting up the website into the ntu server. 10 hours is considered very little compared to others that stayed for 3-4 days overnight at the lab. i would if not for the fact that my gums hurt. our website was too big so in the end we didnt post it up. shawn was very nice coz he told us not to worry about it and asked us to go home and rest. hahaha. we had a hard time figuring how to insert the video nicely into the webpage but luckily it was done pretty fast. took a cab home as instructed by papa. ate supper and fell asleep without bathing. so i eventually bathed at 2am and went back to sleep.
11:47 p.m. for the past two days my gum was hurting like mad. finished my painkillers so i switched to panadols. they made me so drowsy that i slept so much just on these two days alone. pain + drowsiness = cant do my summary assignment. so far i only managed to do until the research parts. so i havent started on the summary part. im going to tell kenny that i was sick and couldnt hand it in on time. if he doesnt accept my explanation then there's nothing i can do. today was a bit better. re-watched a bit of hard fate. i found a discrepancy: in one episode, tiffany's medical report said her pregnancy due date was 3 march; then a few episodes later the doctor said august. ahahahah. then watched a bit of the cancer charity show. wenfang was super hilarious. her small actions like the calling signs always made me laugh. especially there was once she did that handsign and she almost forgot where she was going! ahahaha. but overall the show wasnt exciting. but anyway, when i started watching tv my gum hurt again coz i started laughing and the stretch of my mouth affected the gum area and so it hurt. -two more weeks to exams- left 101 assignment, 108 project, 111 report.
shows that i cant wait to watch: am going to finish the things at hand and start studying. luckily ATOL has ended and i have LIB vcds.
11:01 p.m. had our 111 presentation, it was ok except that my groupmates were all late. my mouth was very very painful. even till now. so i quickly went to jurong point to have lunch so that i could take the painkiller. went to tampines to buy tvb weeklys. slept all the way through so in the end i slept to pasir ris. slept for a while just now. it really hurts a lot. the stupid dentist bluffed me. i still havent done my 101 summary assignment and i havent read finish that 36-pages article yet. if cannot finish then maybe i'll tell dr chen that i have an MC so i cant finish in time. ouch. there's an article of joe in i weekly. i read the ending for HH3 in one of the tvb weekly magazines. and somehow i feel that the endings of healing hands 123 are lousy. i shall not reveal the ending coz i think most people havent watched the show yet.
11:41 p.m. the area below my right cheek is swollen!!! i realised it this morning. i now look like im constantly sucking on an enormously large sweet and/or biting on a huge patch of cotton wool. arh. and when i smile the right side stays the same so it will look like i have a crooked smile. argh. i look so hideous for now. it hurts occasionally. especially when i laugh, the pain is so great that it will still linger in my mouth half an hour later. i have to eat in small bites. literally yat dam yat dam sek or yi kou yi kou chi. haiz. was supposed to print out the powerpoint slides and hand in to brenda, and have a dry run of tomorrow's presentation. but the rest were preoccupied with their 108 so we didnt have a dry run. shawn was nice to give us the whole stack of plain paper when all we asked for was maybe a few pieces. so after we finished printing we went back to the mac lab and we were surprised to see all of them at the lift area. the tutor of the class taking the mac lab apparently chased all of them out. so we dashed into the mac lab to take our things. my bag was still in the lab. when i opened the door, the class was looking at me, and right in front of me, was joanne peh. ahhahahaha i know that sounds so anti-climax. so yah i quickly took my bag and went out while these year 4s carry on with their lesson with the strict tutor. grace, eugenia and i werent taking notes from the 101 lecture. all we did was to talk about everything, from the primary schools we went to, to our tv husbands. hahahaha. kennise and i have the exact same thoughts. kennise said after watching a few episodes of HH3, she prefer to watch anson and chris' parts. refer to my post somewhere in the september or august archives (i cant remember actually), and i have mentioned that in HH3, the most probable and interesting parts to watch are those of yip to (aka sarah), anson and chris. hahahaha. the best is that, when she told me she doesnt like gigi, and i replied to her that i hate gigi and think her character is like a slut and she goes, HAHAHAHAHHAHA.... exactly!!!!! hahahah she's so funny.. i cant wait to watch the shows. went to meihang's website and found a fantastic photo. it is a group photo but the fantastic part about it is that... all 4 of my idols are sitting together!! how cool is that? we usually see flora+jessica, jessica+mariane, jessica+meihang, flora+meihang, but never all four together. hahahahah. a big fight in my house. haiz headache. and gum-ache. hope tomorrow's presentation will go smoothly.
11:25 p.m. went for wisdom tooth extraction. ive decided not to delay the extraction coz it might be nearing the exams and i was afraid there's decay on the last tooth. extraction took about 50 minutes. injected anesthesia twice so it wasnt painful, just that there was a lot of pressure exerted while trying to pull the tooth out. i have naturally big teeth so it was pretty difficult for the dentist. yimyiu was so nice. she waited for an hour for me to finish and we went to jurong point to eat after that. i had to eat fast before the anesthesia wear off. was quite hard for me to eat, especially when half of my face was numb. had to eat the burger with a spoon!!! hahah shouldnt have eaten burger. the anesthesia wore off quite fast so by the time i reached home it was hurting like mad. but i didnt scream or whatnot la, i just beared with the pain. i slept from 9pm to 12am with interruptions in between, and woke up to watch ATOL which is currently showing. haha. got 3 days MC. hope i can talk normally on thursday. was supposed to write about this yesterday but i forgot. arefa is getting married!!! her boyfriend proposed to her and parents of both sides have agreed to the marriage. she's getting married after graduation in dubai. ooooh thats so sweet. we are all going dubai to attend her wedding. hahah. just now i saw the advertisement of LIB, with anne and mariane's shots of their miss hk experiences. shall tape it the next time i see it. its the 6th mariane show that tvbj has shown during the recent times. ultra protection- lost in love- road to eternity- life for life- drunken angels- love is beautiful. luckily i bought the vcds. otherwise i'll have a hard time taping and studying. removing my stitches next tuesday. so i'll have to bear with the zor-deng stitches for a week. =(
11:55 p.m. joanna surprised me this morning with the whole set of vcds of RDOV!! thanks joanna! hahah but now i tend to want to watch fantasy hotel and HH3 more. hahaha. currently i am re-watching happy ever after vcds and a taste of love on tv. just finished another 5 discs. hahaha. am extracting my wisdom tooth tomorrow. am scared. hopefully they accept nets. hopefully i still can talk on thursday coz i have presentation. am tired. shall sleep. tomorrow waking up at what-the-hell 7am. anchyi wanted to film at 9am. arrrr i dont stay in hall lor.. haiz.
11:41 p.m. it rained all day. so its quite cold now. ironed all my clothes, watched 10 discs of happy ever after, cleaned my room, did the things that i intended to do on my list (but not all completed) and watched shanghai knights vcd. yongjie la, wanted to watch the vcd version without ads but halfway through the show he fell asleep. hahaha. am fiddling with html for my project website. argh so difficult. shall draw up the actual sites pages and make the necessary graphics first before doing the html. so think i have to do it tomorrow night. im going to take out my UE1 and 2 vcds to pick out the crime music for 108 video and for vu to extract the music. and im going to have a headache just by reading my 101 journal, needless to say summarise it. argh. as i was picking the music from UE1, it got me all tempted to watch the vcds again. hahaha yah and thanks to jean for tempting me to dig out my vcds. for UE1, my favourite discs are 9 and 12. for UE2, my favourite discs are discs 4, 6, 9, and i think 11 or 12 (i cant remember which discs the scenes happened in). bo yin was the character that made me love flora. ahhahaa.
11:18 p.m. in the afternoon the construction guy came to add on the doors to the drawers in my room and papa's room. so yesterday i unpacked and today i packed like mad. but all the hard work paid off coz my room is neater with the doors and oooh i like my drawers coz they look like office drawers. hahahah. dont be deceived by the office exterior, the moment you open it, you will be greeted by the tonnes of cds and vcds that are so not office-like. hahaha. rewatched happy ever after. mariane and bobby are so cute. went to download the new themesongs, like into thin air and fantasy hotel. i feel like renting tvb dramas now. argh darn. i want to buy vcds, rent serials, go hong kong... haiz. i know i have projects and exams. so all these have to wait. but for now i'll list out the things to buy/rent:

dramas to rent: hahaha if you are wondering, yes, im so lagged behind. hard core fans have already watched most of the shows listed but i havent. reasons being 1) dont want to rent and in the end spend money to buy, 2) no time, 3) can wait coz i have patience and they arent old shows, 4) new shows usually dont arrive in complete sets and i usually rent the whole show out. =D but im still a hard core fan just that i dont spend money to rent so readily. hahhah.
11:15 p.m. yesterday i went to amelia's house to do 111 project. had dinner with my project group plus luqman, dillon and janissa. after dinner we decided to name each of us in the tutorial group over a ben and jerry's ice cream flavour. im phish food. ahahah. we did our project until 4am. then we took hilarious photos until 5am. today we woke up at 12pm and then went to school. yada yada. im worried about my 108 project. haiz. i cant stand sue in ATOL. and ahhaha yes, flora's joyce is very softspoken. hahah. she's so cute.
05:39 p.m. came home to rest a while. going to amelia's house soon. aaahh i am going to miss my bed. i always miss my bed whenever i dont sleep at home. the votings for tvb 38th anniversary awards are open already. shall buy the tvb weeklys soon and make my predictions as always. this year there are no definite sure-winners. joe has two shows, jessica has one show (plus one havent shown), meihang has three shows. kennise hopes that either kenix or meihang wins. i hope that either meihang or jessica wins. and of course hope joe wins. hahaa. and i just realised that meihang and kenix are best friends. hahahah yay. another pair of best friends besides flora and ada. =D and during the opening ceremony, meihang was standing in the centre. =)
11:52 p.m. had the 102 quiz. had 106 presentation. our sales pitch was way way superior to our panel discussion. saw santiago wrote a B- on the evaluation paper but there's another score too so maybe he will take the average of the two. a heavey burden off my shoulder. our tutorial group chilled out at the acrc. each 111 group was having their discussions while our group slacked around. arefa was watching vcd, melissa was copying notes, amelia was sleeping, felicia had another project and i used the computer. ahahha. ooooh cinple and winglin are alright already!! fortunately. our project group played games like category words and the pyramid game. we were all so bored. the whole basement of the acrc became our tutorial group's territory. ahahha. the most hilarious was the pyramid game. there was once i was supposed to guess "what luqman will be wearing tonight", so arefa was like saying "cap, glasses, braces, nice clothes, special underwear...". i answered a few incorrect ones, then i came to answering "things that make luqman attractive" and all of them laughed like mad. so their reaction told me that i was wrong. my instinct instructed me to carry on answering this: "things that make luqman repulsive" and they again laughed even harder. hahahahahha. i still think it is funny. and luqman was there like oblivious to whatever we had said, looking blur. ahhahha. had so much fun. =) they are going clubbing but i cant go and i havent been to one. tomorrow im going to stay over at amelia's house to do the 111 presentation. reminds me of the times we went to wenting's house to do project work. ahhaa. half the time we were doing everything but the project. ahahahha. wanted to leave a message at laozhao's blog but her blog doesnt allow anonymous comments so i thought i still had my old blogspot account. but i cant remember the password!!! and the username doesnt seem to be my actual one as well. argh. i love the blog url name. coz its the standard florachan.blogspot.com. hahhahaha i never expect myself to get hold of such a nice blog name. but alas! i cant even go in to edit my ancient and pioneer blog. as ive said in my very first entry in the may 2003 archives, yes, that blog is filled with pictures of fruit and a single entry. and i spelt mariane's name wrongly. that blog has nothing but a nice name. haiz. ive tried a million passwords but none is working. gave up and set up another one called chanwaisan. not as nice as florachan la. but haahha havent put anything in it yet. just to secure a nice name. hahahahahaha. so tui i cannot open and edit my florachan blog. haiz. im in a holiday mood already. hahah. went to download the vj mass dance songs coz i lost them last time. i can still remember all the steps. hahahha. vj's open house is this saturday. see who wants to go back. hopefully they play all 6 songs coz i always hate it when they only play selective songs. found joanne's blog just now while i was figuring my password. she had met up with flora last year when she was in hk!!! im so jealous and envious. knowing myself, i can never seem to establish such contacts with the hk side. usually the more experienced fans will do the contacting, and i can only make friends with these contacts. joanne and i can talk la, but usually we just talk on the whole and sometimes us flora fans are quite close. but i think the closest will be jessica fans. ahhahah we are even planning to go to malaysia during the holidays. so its 1) jessica fans, 2) flora fans, 3) jacelyn fans, 4) fann fans, and 5) joe's fans aka me and jean. hahahahah. did i mention? my 101 academic journal article is 36 pages long!!!! that is freaking long. vu only has 11 pages! aiyoh.
10:34 p.m. haiz. skipped both 108 and 111 to discuss our speech presentation. my brain is exhausted. came home and the first thing i did was to go to the hk stars website and urgh!! cannot go in. i went to download ad aware while waiting for the rest of my project mates to come online, and i was so scared to delete the cookies on my computer as instructed by the software. i had to get jasmine's approval before i dared to touch anything. the whole computer seems to be slowing down. i cant enter the cinple site and the winglin site. every day i get news and updates from the sites and suddenly i cant get in. argh i feel so empty. cannot get pictures from flora's forum, cannot see updates from hang's forum, cannot get news from new tvb series forum, and most importantly, cannot read fanfics!!! argh. all the previous fanfics cannot be opened too. and i was just anticipating to read For Honour. grrr. hope that the website is just down temporarily and not forever. i can just cry. hahahaha. ive lost a large amount of things to do online. bored. had enough of me and joe staring at everyone when my computer is on. so i changed wallpaper. haiz so bored. shall start memorising my script for sales presentation. still in a discussion about the news presentation. haiz. kena suaned by kennise that i keep having new idols. hahahah. i can confirm that i have a lot of idols, undeniably. i do like all of them, but sometimes i prefer a certain one over the rest during certain periods of time. so. my idols are strictly the people whose merchandise i will buy without thinking much: in alphabetical order: fann wong, flora chan, jacelyn tay, jessica hsuan, mariane chan. people who i like but i dont buy all their stuffs: christopher lee, joe ma, melissa ng, moses chan. the first 5 people are constantly in my idol list. the seven official fa dans named by tvb in dont-know-which year are: ada choi, esther kwan, flora chan, jessica hsuan, kenix kwok, maggie cheung and mariane chan. all three of my hk idols are in it. heh heh. most of them are good friends in real life, probably with the exception of maggie. im typing anything that comes into my mind now. since i do not have entertainment, i shall make my own entertainment.
11:48 p.m. i feel stressed. both in school and at home. in school, a lot of projects. and im always alone eating or studying. at home, papa nags at me to do this do that. while yongjie lives a carefree life, especially during his holidays. he doesnt hang clothes, fold clothes, sweep floor, wash dishes, wash clothes, wipe tables, etc. nothing. except use computer, watch tv, eat and sleep. haiz. am going to write my speech later. but for now, i shall provide you with something.
i think they have the same face shape, high cheekbones, fair complexion, high forehead, and aaahhh i think they look alike. maybe the difference is that hang is much taller than eVonne. eVonne is the more petite and childlike one, while hang is the more elegant and sophisticated one. of course i prefer hang coz she can act well. eVonne can sing well. but hahaha i still prefer hk people. so i choose hang. anyway i started liking hang before eVonne. hahahhaha. what do you think? lalalalala. i turn to look at my desk calendar. a cute meowmeow is staring at me. i turn back to look at my tvb wall calendar. bobby and sonija say hi to me. i turn the other direction. my tv tells me its going to be time to watch ATOL. but my computer desktop constantly reminds me that i need to get my speech written out by tonight. and its only half a speech. i dont know what will happen to our news presentation.
04:09 p.m. this is the first time im using a public computer in ntu to blog. usually i dont blog in school but today i have really nothing to do in school. lectures as usual. all the things i need to do, i have to do them at home. the rest, like printing things, ive already done them. the rest of the things that i need to print are all at home. im glad that time is passing by very quickly. every week i look forward to after wednesdays. coz that will usually be the start of my weekend. on the other hand, it scares me pretty much that the exams are coming. in a month's time. and that will be fast too. im afraid i cannot do the questions of 102 and 111 coz these 2 modules need the most thinking and analysis. and i am not into politics or economics so im at quite a disadvantage, especially i watch mandarin news instead of read english newspapers. hmm nothing much. just came here to exercise my fingers. and find something to do. hiii joanna! hahhaa. as ive mentioned, my new idol is meihang. hahaha. i feel weird calling her that coz melissa is so widely used that i dont want to mix people up. anyway, ive been reading one fanfic of her and moses, called For Honour. the way the author depicts meihang is sooo cool! yah so... nothing le. this entry is purely for me to kill boredom. and now i have to go for 106 lecture. ta ta.
11:10 p.m. woke up late coz my alarm clock didnt ring. met up with my 108 groupmates to go to anchyi's house to film. her house is nice and huge, and her 11 year old brother is cute. we started filming the scenes. had so much laughter. hahhaa. then we went to macdonalds to discuss about the silly wireframe. i rushed home to tape a kindred spirit, so i practically ran home, only to find papa and auntie jenny still watching the chow yun fat movie on channel 8. -_-" it was the last episode of a kindred spirit. somehow i prefer a kindred spirit to virtues of harmony. hahaha dont know why. my new proclaimed idol is melissa ng. to avoid any misunderstandings due to tonnes of melissas that i know of, i shall call her meihang. coz her cantonese pronunciation is ng mei hang. hahahaah. watched good times, bed times. sammi looks very pretty. i have the themesong. basically i feel that the whole movie doesnt have a theme. but who cares. its so enjoyable to watch. hahahaha. especially sammi and louis. the next best person to match louis besides jessica is sammi. =D nothing's been done for my speech on wednesday. think it will be utter chaos these 3 days before the speech.

thursday, 06 october 2005 rushed to cine. did preparations and soon the crowd started to enter. out of the people i know, gujie, jasmine, yanting and shujing attended. thanks to gujie for buying me dinner, thanks to jasmine for giving me the photos and newspaper articles, thanks to yanting for attending the movie even though nobody accompanied her, and thanks to shujing to attending. the response from the audience was mixed. some said it was nice but some said not. some people gave praises about my looks on the day itself. =D finally the movie was over. many thanks to everyone who bought tickets and gave donations. was sooo tired that i fell asleep on papa's bed after ATOL and then woke up at 3am. again i couldnt tape ATOL. but i had to hang the clothes and fold the clothes before sleeping. so in the end i watched ATE while doing the chores, and slept at 430am. i began to think that dear yongjie should do all these coz he is having a nice long holiday at home watching dvds while i am slogging to complete my projects.
wednesday, 05 october 2005 jean stayed at the airport to study while i went back to ntu. sorry jean, for wasting your time waking up so early and not being able to reach in time to build up your courage to take photos with joe. kennise called while i was on the train and i narrated the whole story to her. didnt have the opportunity to give joe the card, and luckily i didnt buy the pandan cake. otherwise really waste my money. photos were developed- from the ones that i took with jessica to the latest one with joe. i dont have a scanner so i cant scan them into the computer. 101 midterms was okay. went to causeway point to buy lanyards for thursday's movie premiere. and i decided to pop into ts. wong fei hung and 13th aunt has come out. when i saw the english title of the show, i was shocked. the english title is called "master wong and his 13 unties". what the... what in the world happened to the quality control of the authorised dealers???? UNTIES!!!! someone please tell them that an A is missing. and there is an extra S at the back. if they wanted to do a direct translation of the mandarin title, they ought to know that the mandarin title is NOT called "huang2 fei1 hong2 he2 ta1 de4 shi2 san1 yi2". so the HIS is redundant. being a china production is not an excuse to have lousy translators. all the more they need good ones to show that their shows have standards. but then again, i personally dislike china productions. especially with majority of the cast being china people. look at the failure of where is my love. no matter how well gallen and jessica acted in the show, it doesnt help with terribly expressionless china actors. that is not the end of my dissatisfaction towards vcd dealers. the wong fei hung case is small. look at the box of romance of venus. it says 陈慧姗 and not 陈慧珊. the name was an utter mistake. even though its just the side that is different, it is a totally wrong word, not to mention, when placed together, it is a wrong name. not that i am picky, but i feel that being the authorised dealer, they should respect the actors of the shows that have toiled and worked hard for the production. what these dealers have to do is simply make them into vcds, and most importantly, print the correct names on the boxes. again, the question on their quality control. everyone's names are correct except flora's. not like her name is some abnormal word that doesnt exist in the dictionary. if thats the case i wont mind. but no! imagine yourself to be the actor/actress of a show, and companies repeatedly print the wrong name on your merchandise. how would you feel? everyone's name is correct except yours, i have to stress that. maybe im oversensitive, but it somehow displays a sign of disrespect. it goes to show that they didnt even bother to check for the correct name. im utterly displeased with the dealers of both shows. im not mentioning company names. if you want you can go to any vcd shop to check it out. papa changed the scv set up boxes to digital. i noticed that the box was connected to the video input channel instead of the normal tv channels. so the initial vcr input is now missing. can watch but cannot tape. i asked papa to fix it and he went "aiya dont tape la!! tape for what!!" i was quite angry for a while. coz he overlooked this point about my most important device of a home entertainment system- the good old vcr. so in the end i couldnt tape ATOL. =( made the lanyard designs. 111 online project discussion took up so much of my time that i couldnt start on my 102 report. stayed up till 3am but still couldnt really start on it.
11:38 p.m. intended to wake up at 8am but woke up at 10am instead. went for 108 only to realise half the class werent present. i was supposed to collect money and pass tickets during 111 lecture, so i went in. alfred was playing i not stupid for us to watch. so i sat in, and wasnt able to get out anymore. initially i wanted to leave after 108 but since i was inside and couldnt get out, i stayed inside and listened to the lecture. WHEN I MEET JOE- DAY TWO (wife meets husband sounds too mushy. i cant stand it. im not even his real wife. so i shall stop calling him my husband because he is not. darling is okay coz it doesnt mean anything. but for simplicity's sake i shall just call him joe.) after that i took a cab down to swissotel, where joe was having the press conference from 2-5pm. i reached the hotel at 430pm. paid the driver and dashed to the conference room. the room was empty. asked the waiter there and he said the conference ended 20 minutes ago. !!!!!! i felt so disappointed coz 20 minutes wasnt exactly long or short and how could i have missed him by 20 minutes??? so i went to the car park and when i was there, i was thinking, that maybe joe stays at swissotel, so he need not take a vehicle. so i went back to the reception and asked them if there was a guest named joe ma in the hotel. they searched the database and said no. then i asked if there was this group of hk people checking in yesterday and they said they couldnt remember. and i was thinking, maybe he checked in with his assistant's name. or maybe he doesnt stay here at all. so ok fine. was pretty disappointed coz i took a cab there and missed him by a whole 20 minutes. needed the toilet but wasnt urgent. so i went to raffles city which was just beside swissotel. was thinking of how i flew down in a cab and didnt see him and concluded that i wasted the cab fare. then.... it struck me that the bloody cab driver shortchanged me!!!!! the fare was $17, i gave him $50, and he returned me $3!!!! he ate my $30. omg at that point i wanted to cry. that 50 bucks was my whole week's allowance. and it was gone in a flash. thanks. now im left with $3. i wanted to cry. coz $30 is a lot to me, especially when i dont have earnings and i just spent a bomb on sammi.
i called citycab to sort of complain about the issue. while i was telling the operator the incident, this guy wearing a pink shirt walked past me. looks very familiar. isnt he.... JOE?!?!?!? he just walked past me like that. right in the middle of raffles city shopping centre. just when i didnt expect him to. none of my idols have walked past me like that. i was stunned for a while, and i hurriedly told the operator "i'll call back later" and slammed the phone. called out to joe, who was with his female assistant. till now i still dont know her name. must find out tomorrow. joe asked how come i was there. and i explained that i went to find them at the press conference but they left already. i asked them if they were shopping and they said yah. then.... a round of silence. i cant stand it. its like, im alone with him and yet i have nothing to say. then his assistant told me that his flight will be changed to the earlier one, at 10am tomorrow. then i took out things for him to sign, namely amelia's TITS vcd box, tvb issue 429 with him on the cover, and my TITS folder. after he signed, i asked him whether i could take photos of him alone and he gladly posed for me. (his assistant got glued to an accessories store so it was only joe and i taking photos.) then joe said "can be a bit relaxed" and so i took 2 photos. i asked him to change pose and he laughed. all the nitty gritty details. bear with it. hmmm then he asked me if i want to take photos with him. and so we did and i whipped out my lao pok camera and he took it and pressed it for me. as in, we took our photos on our own instead of a third party taking for us. then next i used my phone and joe pressed the button too. and he said the photo is nice. heehee. then.... another round of silence. argh. argh argh. joe asked me if i had school earlier on, and the nervous me blabbered some funny cantonese. and i told him that he is my idol so im very nervous, then he said its ok. and i said my cantonese isnt very good when im nervous, and he said its ok, and he can speak the language that im comfortable with. he asked me what language i can speak, and i told him english and mandarin, and he said "ok lets use that". but when looking at him, and how he literally towered over me, i cant speak a word of mandarin or even english to him. it just doesnt seem right. like if i spoke english to jacelyn, even though she speaks english, i still feel very very weird. so i said its ok i can speak in cantonese. and i can hardly breathe with him looking down and smiling at me. so its natural that im nervous and quiet coz i dont want to embarrass myself with my nervously lousy cantonese. i asked him if he's shopping, then he said he's just walking around and going back to the hotel soon. and later got some press interviews. he asked him he stays in which hotel and he said swissotel. -_-"" stupid receptionists. ok. then later the assistant arrived with no purchase and seemingly happy after her window shopping, she asked me if i am going tomorrow and i said yah. then she questioned that dont i have lessons? and i said oh its ok. i evaded her question. ahahahah. and she said if you got lessons then its ok dont have to purposely come.. and i said its ok. got my lesson from the raymond meeting, i decided to tell joe my name. i told him yesterday, but to reinforce it, i told him again. i told him my name is suet lam. thats xuelin in cantonese. and he asked which lam and i said its the same lam as kelly's. hahahaha. but i told him he can call me ah suet. heehee. then he asked me if i use this name online and i said yah but i use xue instead of suet. but he was having difficulty comprehending whether my "xue" is english or mandarin, and i said hanyu pinyin but he didnt seem to understand. so i tried to round it off by concluding that yah, i use ah suet as my name. then the assistant told me that got anything will call me. and then they got to go and i said byebye to joe. he turned and looked at me 3 times. coz i was constantly waving goodbye at him. until he was high up on the escalator. aaaahhh.... after that nice meeting with joe, i called up citycab again, and told them the story of my missing $30, and they said they couldnt do anything coz i didnt remember the car plate number. so... the chances of recovering my 30 bucks are really slim. i should have checked my change before leaving. but then again, if i had checked, i wouldnt stop outside tommy hilfiger to call the operator. and wouldnt feel so upset coz i ren2 cai2 liang3 kong1. ren meaning joe, not me. if i didnt call the operator and stood there, i wouldnt have seen joe walking past me. and thus the memorable incident. when joe walked past me it was really tian1 zhu4 wo3 ye3.. ahahahha. so 30 bucks in exchange for meeting with joe, is it worth it? called jean after that to tell her about the change of flight details. and shun bian rambled about the incident coz i needed an outlet to let go of my feelings. nobody was there with me so i called jean to talk about it. we talked for 1 hour and 11 minutes. i was sitting at the bench in the middle of the shopping centre. it just didnt occur to me that i could walk and talk at the same time. ahhahaha. time to study. left with 1.5 chapters. jia you. yanting says the second picture taken on my phone is nicer. its further away because joe has longer arms than me. yah true. hahaahahah.
10:04 p.m. cherian george invited a guest to speak on press councils during lecture. he wanted to give our movie tickets to the first person that raised questions, but it was melissa who asked first. then the second person wasnt free to go. and so he exclaimed, "i feel like a loser!" hahahaha. after 111 lecture, i met up with adel to pass her the ticket and get the money from her. she arrived with her boyfriend's motorbike. i requested to ride pillon until the hall 4 bus stop coz that adel was riding illegally so she cannot go out of campus. hahahha. was soooo scared to ride coz i scared i will fall off. adel started a little shakily coz i was scaring her too. then after that ok la, felt quite thrilling and cool to have the wind blowing in your face. after i alighted, my legs felt very wobbly. not that im scared anymore, but somehow the vibration from the motorbike was still in my legs. ahahahha. and adel, you can be wei yingzi already. heh heh. now i shall start with the main event of the day: WHEN WIFE MEETS HUSBAND- DAY ONE joe's flight was said to arrive at 1515. i reached at 1515. luckily in time. rushed to the arrival hall in terminal 2. im not very familiar with t2 arrival hall. they didnt have enough plasma screens, that i have to complain. i had to squint my eyes to look at the one inside the luggage area. and so i checked the belt of SQ111. its belt 35. so ok, i went to belts 35-38 and waited. until 1530. still no sign of joe. the people at the luggage area had more or less left. there was another girl who suspiciously looked like she came for joe. but after some rounds of eavesdropping on her while she was talking on the phone, i concluded that she wasnt waiting for joe. i went to grab a bottle of water at polar. freaking expensive. $2. but at that time i couldnt be bothered. i kept a close lookout. then i really thought that i had missed joe. quickly went to check the far away plasma screen. BELT 38!!! shit. then went to check out belt 38. eh. then i realised that 35-38 have to come out from the same two exits. so i waited for a while. TA-DAH~~ i spotted joe. he was wearing a blue and white striped shirt (blue and white being his favourite colours), and sunglasses. started waving to him but he didnt see. then when he came out, i called out to him. and that was the start of my ban4 tong3 shui3 cantonese. you see, when i get all nervous, my language skills go missing, including the ability to speak cantonese. i didnt experience that in hk coz i wasnt nervous. so... i asked joe to take photos with me, using my lao pok camera. his assistant took for us. then the female assistant asked how come i knew their schedule. then i said tracy from malaysia told me. then after that they said they are going back to hotel and i said i can follow them to the van. hahahahaha. haiz when i recall about it now i still feel elated. joe was quite quiet so i had to start talking to him. but you know i get nervous. last time when i talked to raymond i didnt feel nervous but this time.... haiz im such a failure. i asked joe about his schedule and he said he doesnt know. hahaha. so cute. then i asked him if i looked like a uni student. coz just now he asked if i was studying and i said yah, in university. and he just smiled. hahhahha. ok. then i asked him to take another photo with me using my handphone. he bent down and stuck his face close to mine. waaaahahhh~~~ i was melting. then he took the phone to see and said it was nice. =) joe asked me if i got watch any shows now. i knew he wanted to ask if i got watch RDOV or not. but i didnt!!! no time and money. but i didnt have the heart to lie to him, so i told him that my exams are coming so didnt really watch a lot of shows. then later i whipped out his cd (get that!!! his cd!! how many of you know that joe has a cd?? and i have it! but it was autographed already coz i bought second hand online) and asked him to sign. and he asked how come signed le? then i said my friend gave to me (i cant possibly tell him that i bought it second hand right?) and then he's so nice, he signed on the cd itself, and i thought it was the end, but he took the initiative to sign another time on another side!!! means that cd now has 3 autographs. hahaha. took out my autograph book too. purposely let joe sign beside flora, and he asked whose signature that was and i told him it was flora's. ahahahah. very soon we walked to the van. oh yah, his 3 assistants walked in front while joe and i walked behind, side by side. ..... i still feel so shy now. argh. then when we reached the van he asked me still got things to sign or not. and i said no more le. hahahaha he's so sweet. oh did i mention? i was the only fan there. hahahhaha. so joe entered the van and i gave his assistants my number and they asked me to go to the hotel where his press conference will be held tomorrow. and so i said byebye to darling and he was happy that i came. and i was happy to see him. the end. oooooh im still relishing the moments with him. my heart wanted to fly out. and he's so nice!!! cant stand it. must tell the whole world how nice my hubby is. kennise says if i call him hubby his fans will come and beat me up. hahahaha. dont care. its my blog. hhahaha. they can call him hubby in their blogs too. ahahah. i am using our couple picture for my msn. wont be posting it up here at the moment. not until after my midterms and 102 report. hahahah.
11:58 p.m. in the early afternoon i felt like a pig. woke up and yet couldnt resist the temptation of the bed. didnt feel like doing anything. so i started counting money for the ticket sales. oh yah, thanks to anchyi for buying a ticket from me. and thanks to adel for buying too when she cant make it on that day. thanks to manchester united for letting adel win big bucks from the bets and thus willing to spend money to support me. =D oh back to counting money. and so i was counting money and gasp! i counted that we were short of $146!!! that is terrible. couldnt believe it, so i tallied the records and the cash about 5 times each. and yes, the missing money still existed. i was soo worried that i wanted to skip my beehoon lunch, and papa started to worry for me too. then i knew there was nothing i could do except to break the news to my groupmates. it was the start of a depressing day. first i lose money. then i wanted to watch ATE on the dvd player but the player had problems. gross. i watched a kindred spirit and ghastly ken snatched shengxiao from vietnam. i was talking to myself "choose vietnam! dont choose that ugly faggot!!!" but alas, the undecided shengxiao chose to hug ken and not vietnam at the end of today's episode. i was upset for vietnam and myself, coz such a sad episode occured to me on the equally depressing day. when i went to bathe, i saw that my favourite jeans that i hung in the toilet was gone. papa had washed it, thinking that it was yongjie's jeans and he went to ask yongjie which pants to wash, and that stupid yongjie told him to wash anything. WHAT ANYTHING? he has only one pair of pants in the toilet, and the other one is mine. MINE!! grrrr. i wanted to cry. coz i had intended to wear my jeans to fetch darling tomorrow. grrrr. stupid yongjie. but oh well, what done cannot be undone. see, another depressing event. the twist of the day was when i emailed my groupmates and felicia told me that they had given out 10 complimentary tickets to starhub for sponsoring us. phew!! so at the end of the day we have $4 extra. haaha. meiqi wants me to announce to everyone her blog address. here it is: thinking of you . its also linked at my links page but i doubt anyone has the free time to go there so thats why the link is here. hahahaha. thanks to shujing for buying 2 tickets from me!! thanks! i left 12 tickets to sell in 4 days. please help me i am in dire straits now. i need to study for wednesday's midterms, write my report for journalism by thursday, and thursday is the movie premiere night! and my speech is next wednesday and i have to hand in 108 proposal by next monday. not forgetting picking darling up tomorrow. haiz.
11:35 p.m. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUNXIN! forgot to add huiyi's birthday before archiving. was late in meeting my 108 project group at jurong point. when i reached there, none of them were there so i was the first even though i was half an hour late. hahaha. the rest came subsequently and we discussed a lot about the project. went for huiyi's birthday dinner. we were supposed to go to hotel rendezvous for some nice dinner but we got the place wrong so we settled for a japanese restaurant at ps. michelle and i were clever enough to order the cheapest and yet the tastiest dish. hahahha. then huiyi, yimyiu, michelle, kiaying and i headed to swensens for ice cream. the whole birthday dinner turned out to be a photo taking session. we were all busy snapping photos with each other that our phones went memory full in no time. hahahah. talked to jasmine online about yesterday's idol-chasing flop. and about joe's arrival. and about her colleague resembling sunny chan. and how she got herself a substitute eye candy for the real sunny chan. hahahahha.
