july was basically a bummer.
looking back at my google calendar for july, all i did was going out or staying home.
im wearing the Blind Baba tee now, obviously after scraping off the iron-on patches.
01.07: went back office to clear stuffs.
02-03.07: cleaned house.
04.07: watched ice age 3. loved the ROGER part.
05.07: ice skating and my belated birthday celebration with TYFs.
06.07: dinner with my favourite ADs, watched jolene's film at substation, and then overnight gossips and complains at starbucks.
09.07: brunch with LaoZhao, and then went to KBox with germaine. six freaking hours of ktv. we almost sang all the Mi songs available. we sang other people's songs as well. by the end of it i had a sore throat and she had sore lungs. after that germaine caught Yoshi for me with just 14 bucks.
14.07: visited chan who had a heart attack. luckily he's fine now. hope he will smoke less and drink less coke.
15.07: mahjong session with jolene, huixun and joanne at jolene's place. AJ's very cute! lost big bucks (no thanks to WHITEBOARD but its a long story) but nevertheless it was a great game! i love to play mj. went airport for dinner after that.
16.07: met up with germaine to catch pooh. couldnt catch but caught an elephant instead. made friends with 2 little malay boys.
18.07: went out with gujie, first to the temple, then to pasir ris, and then to airport for dinner. then went to meet the usual saturday clique.
19.07: ah mo's arrival! first time at arrival managed to take photos. then the event was super horrid. if it wasnt for ah mo, i wouldnt even waste time going there to squeeze among the crowd. after that we went iluma for dinner and arcade.
20.07: went to collect convo tickets from yanxuan's mum and then took bus no 10 all the way from pasir panjang to tampines. i fell asleep 3 times on the 1.5 hour ride. collected my magazines.
21.07: went airport early morning. nothing. then we went for BK brekkie. and then we went urban concepts at t2 and omg they are selling atashin'chi soft toys! whole family at 33 bucks. vvv cute. since we had time, and subrina and shuyu left for school, germaine and i went to tampines to rot time and shop. i bought a 花媽 keychain. we had fun playing around tampines before heading back to airport, where i made friends with yet another little boy. then ah mo arrived and yada yada yada they signed and took photos and left. we went to bishan to try to catch pooh again. at the end of the day we were damn bushed.
22.07: went to cut hair. its good to stick to my same stylist.
23.07: yimyiu's birthday celebration at crystal jade buffet steamboat. ate and ate and ate.
24.07: convocation! felt great to see all my classmates again. but yet it felt different to be back in school. suddenly i really missed being in school as a student. no more lectures, tutorials, breaks, spectrum, fyp, traveling from north spine to south spine and back, and squeezing into 179. those were the thoughts running in my head when i was sitting at my seat waiting for my turn to go up the stage to receive the empty folder. and then within 10 seconds, i graduated. time sure flies. i miss school already.
went for crystal jade dinner with my family after that. was so bushed but still slept late. because the same day, Mi's new song came out! 叮叮噹!!! was very happy for many reasons that day.
27.07: started falling sick. monday night high fever. i sponged myself in the middle of the night. since cannot sleep might as well rewatch happy ever after, with the sound muted, while wiping myself for 1 hour before my temperature fell.
28.07: went to the docs. slept half the day away.
29.07: fever again, then no more again. finished rewatching happy ever after. did housework so that i wont feel sickish.
30.07: felt giddish due to multiple medicines plus doing housework. rewatched witness to a prosecution. previously i had rewatched love is beautiful, then happy ever after, and now WTAP, so that i can continue the bobby-mariane team. suddenly wanted to collect all my mariane shows. wiki-ed and realised i have all her shows from 1999 onwards. (by the way super mariane filmed 5 shows in 1999.) anyways i found the chinese version of 天降財神 (Money Just Cant Buy) in powerapple, couldnt find the cantonese version. >.< yay continue the bobby-mariane teamwork.
31.07: did housework and continued rewatching WTAP. now i prefer lip fung over tong sze. but whenever i see song ci with lip fung, i cant help but imagine them calling each other "fei goon" and "siu siu" ala in happy ever after.
and then im pissed coz the stupid link for episode 19 of MJCB is inactive!!! now im missing one episode and im already at episode 15. GAHHHH. never mind i will try to find the cantonese version and COMPLETE. and at the same time find other shows that im missing. the older tvb shows are definitely much nicer to watch. MUCH MUCH NICER.
went to dig out ultra protection to put into my laptop so that i can watch. its a timely rewatch of all my mariane shows because its her birthday in 40 minutes' time!

shoot days: 1, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 30.
requisition days: 2, 3, 6, 9, 17, 22.
logging days: 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, and 1 JULY.
days without work: 7 (prep), 15 (prep), 20 (prep), 28 (birthday).
actual rest days without leaving house: ZERO.
its only fair to have some rest in the month of july.
but the point is not getting across.
never mind, its not important anyway.
highlights of june:
6th: bingnan's birthday dinner at sushi tei.
12-14th: mifans chalet. never really got to enjoy and relax because of shoot and prep. but it was really fun. too bad i kind of spoilt it.
23rd: pseudo-wrap. mixed feelings.
27th: birthday BBQ at bingnan's house. very fun. except mood dampened by the phone call due to WORK.
28th: went temple, then to grandparents' house.
30th: covered shoot for jolene.
because its not shown yet, photos published here will just be random photos, not production stills. but since the bulk of the photos are already on facebook and no one comes here, i dont think it matters what crap i post here.

Mi Century CD taiwan version. the one i previously had was the crappy you-know-where version. yay i finally got the taiwan version, bought from yahoo auctions, about SGD20.
yesterday once more OST, bought from yahoo auctions. i already have the soft copy version and i dont know why i bought it. oh i remembered. coz bingnan had things to buy from the same seller so i just picked any item to go along for the cheap postage.

needing you radio drama CD, bought from yahoo auctions, forgot price. i got the soft copy version too, buying coz i like the entire needing you series. i still think the novel has the best storyline out of the 3 versions.
magic kitchen limited edition DVD. i watched the additional DVD already. quite interesting to watch the making of. lee chi ngai is a director who focuses more on the aesthetics, and i agree with it. his shots are damn nice and beautifully planned, especially that one-take panshot in the kitchen when Ho bought all ducks. but but but, the story was neglected and therefore the movie version's story was very loose and hanging. nong boh dang. i nowadays like to chup in some hainanese phrases. sorry very random.
Mi's 《十誡》 limited edition boxset. i waited for a long long time before i finally found it in yahoo auctions, bought at SGD70. pricey but very pretty boxset.
erica li's novel 《結婚。花。車》, bought from kino in june. i read halfway and jumped straight to the last chapter. after reading too many erica li's books, i already know her style and i couldnt be bothered to find out whats in between the beginning and end. as i have already advanced to the last page of the book, i therefore have not touched the book in the past week. will read the centre content when i feel like it.
《關於跑步，我說的其實是。。。》 and 《從零開始》. havent read the first book, second book has gone to today's event and returned with a slightly dented corner. i shall vow not to bring books to stupid events. spoil my darling books only.
my birthday present from bn, germaine, subrina, meiying, kelvin and sherin! arigatou! my other present was kino book vouchers from TYFs, which i heart v much too but they arent spent yet.
those were the items i had in june. a lot right. crazy june needs crazy online retail therapy.
meet Yoshi, also known as the dinosaur in Super Mario. germaine kiap-ed him from the kiap machine at marina square using my money, and all it took was SGD14 (ie. 14 tries) and a little luck.
its a slightly large-sized Yoshi and very cute. it was Like at First Sight. then a few days later, ie last thursday, we saw a MEDIUM Yoshi selling for SGD22!!!! wah 暗爽了咯。mine was only SGD14, and large. then yesterday gujie and i saw a large Yoshi at the airport, selling for SGD60!!!! mine was only SGD14, and large. today subrina, germaine and i saw both the large and small Yoshis at Iluma, the SMALL Yoshi was selling for SGD17!!!!! mine was only SGD14, and large. 是爽的咯。
my spoilt adidas running shoes. 2nd pair of shoes to be spoilt during shoot. gah! i had to use masking tape to seal the base so that it wont become a crocodile. and i managed to survive that midnight shoot with the masking-taped adidas shoes.

i really really cant wait for june to be over.
nothing much to talk about here since my life is engulfed in work so much that i even dream about work during my short-lived 3 hour sleep every day.
Mi's CD is in the recording stage!
On-zai's new mandarin CD will be out on 22 june!
eVonne's new CD is out! should i buy the autographed version from yesasia? hmm haha maybe i should.

Mifans chalet next weekend! i am going and i had planned to enjoy myself but then suay suay got shoot the entire weekend and suay suay got the big scene on sunday.
at the end of the week i will become a panda.
okays time to eat my mcdelivery lunch and get back to work and housework.
papa's coming back from australia this wednesday, and germaine is coming back later in the evening!
when will it be my turn to go on holiday?
ps: wont archive at the moment i will see how it goes when i come back here for another update. hopefully by then i will have my desired CDs and my mood will be good. my mood during the past few weeks was s-c-a-r-y. hahaha.

the past week was terribly busy.
it felt like ive already worked for one month.
as usual, work stuff i will blog somewhere else.
monday: yay tammy and victor won the amazing race! but this season's legs are very boring, the last episode was quite boring even though my favourite team won.
tuesday: iwillqu uploaded the last of kindred spirit! finished watching the show (the parts with meiheng). i think i watched the last episode a lot of times already, so when iwillqu posted it, the last episode didnt seem very touching. thankfully there's the reunion episode.
wednesday: i only slept 2 hours the night before. i slept at 630am and woke up at 830am. i think im becoming an insomniac. so i had to cab to work. but alas, the best is for the last. after work i took the bus to toa payoh interchange, instead of taking the straight bus to yishun, and viola! the mrt station had ZERO trains heading towards jurong east because of a disruption. so i have to cab back again. sianzzz.
thursday: omg what did i do on thursday. i think i am becoming senile too. oh okay i ate katong laksa. hahah very yummy.
friday: wahlao everytime the postman comes, sailo will coincidentally go downstairs to buy food, or go see doctor, so that leaves nobody to collect my mails on my behalf. finally the weekend arrived. so i played restaurant city like nobody's business.
saturday: finished rewatching a recipe for the heart a few days ago. this time i rewatch it, i still felt the plot was quite brainless. but during times like this when i need to exercise so much brain power in the day, all i need is a brainless show to take my troubles away, and the show did just that.
and so i took out the legend of lady yang, which was bought about half a year ago (or even longer). and omg i chionged the show like nothing. i watched the show before a few years back. now that im watching with a fresh mind, i watched more intently (skipping minimal scenes), and realised that...
its totally like Raise the Red Lantern. the concubines, the evil servant, the tryst... except now with the males and the warfare and the male version of political power struggle. but i dont like watching the male ministers in the palace fighting over power, and the irritating Yang family leaves me with no choice but to press the forward button.
the power struggle between the concubines is quite nice to watch. i love 梅妃!!!!! shes smart, fierce, independent, intellectual, pretty, and gentle, and everything else. shes so cool when shes fierce. in case you havent realise, 梅妃 is played by meiheng. haha. anne heung literally pales in comparison with meiheng in terms of beauty and poise. her 楊玉環 character is super duper annoying, and i think shes more annoying than florence's evil 惠妃, which i think florence did a great job in portraying the evil character. and i dont understand why the dumb emperor likes lady yang so much.
梅妃's clothes are very pretty. i got no time to screen cap her clothes but i will do it sometime next week. ah maybe during the next company off day which is this friday. when 梅妃 was banished into the cold palace (no thanks to annoying Yang), she was in a white plain dress with no accessories, and so was annoying Yang, but 梅妃 looked super pretty and elegant.
sigh looks like i really need to post the screen caps to prove my point. okay will do that in my next post. i feel very sad for 梅妃 because everyone else only remembers the fat and ugly lady yang, but not the pretty and smart 梅妃. click HERE if you want to know more about the pretty and smart concubine that we should remember instead of the fat and ugly concubine.
i havent finished rewatching it. went for yanting and puayleng's birthday dinner at paradiz and at mind cafe. hahah i laughed until i pengz at the hairbraid that boon drew.
sunday (ie today): i continued watching the legend of the UGLY lady yang. yesterday night i started reading another of erica li's books, titled 《關於您的緋聞》. im halfway done, and i really want to know how a mickey mouse jump hour watch looks like. so cool.

no matter how bad a day is, every night i do random things like watching atashin'chi, facebooking, playing games, watch shows, or just staring at the computer and anticipating for my july trip, and all these make me happy.
honestly dont like doing work at night, even though im the most awake at night.
