11:37 p.m. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FLORA!
flora's recent function photos all have loveflorachan.com spoiling the pictures, and i dont want to use screencaps, therefore i had a hard time finding a function photo without damages. p-serv got yimyiu and i an interview today. but they didnt tell us that the job required us to start on the spot. luckily i thought of that possibility yesterday night, and luckily we were early and had talked through the possible scenarios that might happen, which included the part about immediate work. the reception counter was nice, but the inside of the office was drab. and interviewer called yimyiu first, forgetting that they asked me to be interviewed first. therefore yimyiu received the harsh treatment from the interviewer for not knowing "the urgency of the job", quoted from the AP interviewer, and thus taking the rap for me. when it was my turn, the interviewer had already heard all the reasons from yimyiu so she didnt glare at me. but it really wasnt our fault; the agency didnt inform us about it and the both of us didnt feel interested working alone, since the company was only hiring either one of us. so in the end both of us told her we couldnt start immediately and they probably wouldnt contact us anymore. so yimyiu and i went for breakfast, read the classifieds, called kiaying telling her about the crap interview, went to the library to read magazines, went kino to read archie comics, and then we went far east to window shop. had the famous fried prawn noodle at wisma for lunch and then proceeded to bugis. jasmine said the bag i wanted can be found at bugis at a cheaper price, but when we went, the bag was selling at $35. not much difference anyway, so im waiting for the price at marina square to drop. saw dasmond koh, chen huihui and a bunch of unknown people in the middle of the bugis street shops filming some unknown thingy. didnt bother coz it looked stupid. got LMS from kennise yesterday. realised i have three jessica shows to watch, and out of which, two have meiheng in it. flora, on the other hand, has been MIA after the recent concert. hopefully either her movie or her album comes out soon. and after reading the interview of jace in this week's 8 days, im convinced that we are living in an everchanging world. monday, 29 may 2006 went k lunch with yimyiu and kiaying. they were so surprised that i turned up in a long skirt. it had been quite a long time since i went kbox, and i wasnt really up-to-date with the new songs, so i had nothing much to sing. and it was the first time we had zero songs on the list! kevin cheng's face appeared in the female singers' list. kbox should do something about the listings, because it looks utterly ridiculous to see a guy being labeled as a female singer. the three of us had a fun time. after that we walked around marina sqaure, and i saw a bag that i liked, which cost $39. then we went to tanjong pagar, intending to agency-hop. when we filled in the forms, there was one agency that asked how we got to know about their agency, and yimyiu filled "by looking at the directory downstairs". and at another agency, while yimyiu and i wrote "ntu undergrad", kiaying wrote "ntu underground". it was so hilarious. dinner with odelia, her sister zenobia, and zenobia's colleague carmen, was absolutely great! i was initially afraid that there might not be topics, but the three of them were quite amiable and friendly. and i think we were quite good hosts to them. we had lots of food and talked about a lot of stuffs. they said i look like one of their colleagues. i spoke the most cantonese tonight than i did for the past five months added together.
11:30 p.m. yesterday i ate grilled salmon rice at t1 staff canteen with yating. i also issued my first voucher so i was a bit panicky. today i ate grilled salmon rice again. both days there were unreasonable passengers venting their pettiness at me. yesterday went to the food fair with gujie. bought some foodstuffs. yongjie was down with fever since friday so the poor fellow can only eat plain porridge. today after work i met up with yanting to pass her discs and she accompanied me to century square to buy my tvb weeklys. papa overheated the chicken and it was rock-solid. i wished i had eaten yongjie's porridge. speaking of which, im hungry now, coz i barely finished my dinner. watched death trap. was eerie, but not that scary. tvb never succeeds in making a completely scary horror telemovie or drama. the plot of the show was pretty expected, it went from a untraceable evidence-lookalike beginning to a mere involvement of the spirits-- meiheng and evergreen mak's characters. the whole show was about finding the murderer, therefore there werent a lot of scary elements. quite an expected ending as well, but some parts are scary. to me, that is. i cant stand anything horror, so if i'd managed to survive death trap, it'd be because of meiheng. joe and nnadia were the lead, if you wanted to know. hopefully none of my idols will act in scary shows anymore.

我像忘了时间的钟 一分一秒的过 saturday, 20 may 2006 today seemed to pass rather quickly. the people swarmed in at different times of the day, enquiring on different things. katherine says im jinxed, because whenever she leaves for a toilet/ internet/ lunch break, a whole group of people will come to the booth, with me attending to all of them single-handedly. there were two passengers who won the $250 vouchers. the camera at t1 is screwed because the screen shows nothing but is still able to snap photos. we saw this family of five donning the same red-and-black striped shirt. it was such a cute sight. so today, katherine and i were chatting, playing bingo, she was doing her homework while i was reading i-weekly, and we both kupped another bear home. i didnt go to see brandon. dinner was cancelled coz jasmine and karen couldnt make it. yongjie and papa forgot to take pictures of brandon. the swarovski shop at t2 is now open.
10:06 p.m. went shopping for brandon's present, bought a tv console from vhive, and bought some greoceries. have been hiccupping all day. anan called and asked if i could work from 3-11pm today, and i told him i cant. simply because i have to work at 7am tomorrow. if i were to reach home at 12am and wake up at 5am, i might as well not go home and sleep at the airport.

11:16 p.m. the weekend is approaching, which means i have to hear the silly jackpot machine music again. one of the promoters asked if i can replace her duties tomorrow morning. i am fine with it, but i felt that she needed to get approval from the managers. after a few rounds of phone calls, the girl finally says she will be going to JB tomorrow, not tonight. so in the end everything stays the same. was quite glad actually, because i wanted to slack my time away at home. watched 2 discs of secret of the heart, which is still a long way to disc 38. swept the floor and did some housework, implying that i didnt exactly rot in front of the tv. i kept seeing the advertisement for death trap but i have no idea when it will show on tvbj. dinner this saturday, thus i think i wont be able to see cute brandon this month. maybe till the next gathering.
11:06 p.m. anan says we cannot change shifts for the weekend. means if brandon's buffet ends early, i cannot see him. =( i want to see brandon. watched AMOC until episode 16. kind of reaching the undesirable parts, so i watched it the way i taped the show, meaning i skipped the boring parts about the old man and siuyau. im having LFD withdrawal symptoms; i have to rewatch the LFD clips over and over again. eyes closing soon. -.-
10:33 p.m. today jean agreed to swap working days with me for saturday. so now i can go to my nephew's full-month buffet. by the way my nephew is called brandon. finally got the completed finale of LFD. it was alright: the part with ko ling and siu chai at the restaurant dancing is super touching, the part about their last night together is super brief, the part about their breakup is super heart-wrenching, and the last part about their reunion is super sweet. there are two endings to LFD. *spoilers* i personally like both endings, but it'd be better if the ending incorporates the 1st ending about hilda and the 2nd ending about ko ling. both are happy endings. my continuous chase of LFD has finally come to an end. there's this sudden emptiness whereby there is nothing more for me to anticipate. anyway, congratulations to LFD for hitting 41 points in the ratings, being the highest this year so far! went to look for my tv console but it was out of stock. even the display set is already reserved. =( monday, 15 may 2006 slacked at home. watched the LFD special while waiting for LFD finale. taped the e-buzz episode with meiheng. internet connection quite slow and anyway i have nothing to blog about so i shall blog these posts when i feel like it. sunday, 14 may 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY YANTING! my internet connection is screwed. so i cannot blog today. anyway, the jackpot machine was off-ed this morning, so katherine and i had an easy time with the customers, because the lucky dip was ten times simpler and faster than the silly jackpot. then around 12 plus, some intern came to on the computer, and we were forced to use the jackpot machine. argh the itchy-hands intern who made our lives miserable with the silly machine looked like michelle chong. haha. half the time i was reading my i-weekly and talking to katherine, and fiddling with the stuffs on the counter. time passed by very slowly and we were very glad that it was finally 3pm. the sasha bear is so powerful. it can make a child stop crying; it can make an adorable caucasian boy and girl go "abearabearabearabear!!" when their mother asks whether they want a bear or a pen; and it can make two thai transvestites go crazy snatching the sample bear when we can actually give them two new ones. this was what i observed today. as ive said, my internet was screwed the moment i came home and on-ed the computer. grrr. hopefully tomorrow it can work because im waiting to watch the last two episodes of LFD.so now i have to put this offline times to good use by watching some videos or vcds. saturday, 13 may 2006 worked at t1 today with katherine. comparative to t2, t1 was sooo much slacker. slack to the extent of being extremely bored. whereas t2 will be super busy with no time to rest. in the afternoon, after the boss came to restart the jackpot computer, the next four passengers who came to play the jackpot all received the $250 vouchers! katherine and i were so stunned by this phenomenon that we were in quite a frenzy because we have never experienced this before. the four lucky passengers ought to be glad to win the vouchers, thanks to the boss. after work i had dinner with my grandparents and gujie. was so tired that i fell asleep the moment i reached their house. popo says my nephew will be one month old next week, and there will be a celebration as well. got the two e-buzz clips from the mnfc website. the interview with meiheng was very nice, because sheren tang posed as a call-in audience and tricked meiheng. the other clip was a continuation of the previous press conference, which was also funny. watched LFD episode 20, which was so heart-wrenching. waiting for the happy ending tomorrow.
11:03 p.m. HAPPY VESAK DAY! i caught the repeat telecast of the vesak day special. the e-buzz today wasnt of meiheng, so i guess her episode will be shown on monday night. but i caught the interview of LFD which is also available online. watched the jolin episode of kang xi lai le , watched toy story, and WOT. tvbj is currently showing my idols' shows, like hard fate and green hope, which is repeated for the Nth time. so my life now is all about television, LFD, vcds, shopping and work. nothing much for the time being.
11:49 p.m. yesterday anan asked if i could work for split shift today, and i agreed. but papa was strongly against the idea. so i told papa today will be my last split shift. so today i woke up very early. as usual i couldnt sleep whenever i have an important event the next day. went to t2 and started work, while sneaking off to t1 to send kennise off to taiwan. i was standing at the jackpot stage, giving directions to the passengers about the jackpot thingy, and did some redemption stuffs as well. my colleagues are very nice, but im not too sure about the superiors yet; they dont seem too friendly. lunch, came home, slept, folded clothes, hung clothes, washed dishes, bathed, and went back to the airport. jean and i were at t2 struggling with the overwhelming bunch of tourists in a hurry to redeem their gifts. did the same things again. and i kupped a sasha bear, instigated by jean. hahahahaha. haiz. after i reached home i realised there are so many things to catch up on. the cinple forum is back again. LFD will be having its finale episodes this sunday. there was a news segment on tvb entertainment. meiheng will appear in tomorrow's entertainment news, said the hk fans. luckily i have tvbj. hurhurhur. before the ending of LFD, there will be a talkshow by dodo cheng with sheren tang and meiheng. hopefully some nice hk fans will post it up, in case the local vcd dealers dont include the talkshow in the rentals. do you know? stefanie sun's real full name is sng ee tze, stefanie. according to jean, one of our colleagues saw her at t2 a few days ago, and she redeemed a pen at the booth. her boarding pass had to be photocopied and thus her real full name is known by them. argh these few days will be so busy. tomorrow will be the golden free day to watch my shows. saturday work plus dinner with grandparents. sunday work plus meiheng's telemovie- death trap- plus LFD last two episodes plus a LFD special plus two special endings. grrr. so many things to look out for. and i didnt tape today's vesak day special programme with wenfang because i know there will be a repeat telecast someday. just let me grunt about my shows and programmes. LFD is the nicest show that ive watched this year. luckily my airport job is only a part-time job. anyway i just watched the mci 1996 with meiheng's parts, and i felt the segments were sooo silly! what agogo dancing, posing as english ladies, cliche opening statements.. i burst out laughing whenever i see meiheng doing the silly stints that every beauty pageant contestants have to perform. but meiheng was really very eloquent in the q and a segments. pok pok tsui and i are currently chatting about every single thing we can talk about. and ive just changed my nick to meiheng's very very cliche opening statement in mci. hurhurhur.
11:23 p.m. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA! bought papa a belt and three pairs of socks. slacked at home today. rewatched LFD episodes 1-16, AMOC episode 6, into thin air episodes 15-17, and hard fate on tvbj. i finally got the complete subtheme of LFD. yesterday i watched episode 16. there was a scene with ko ling and hilda's baby. that scene was sooo cute! she was carrying the baby and touching the baby's face with her finger, and the baby was stoning! the cute baby looked as if she wanted to fall asleep in meiheng's arms. utterly adorable. shall find a way to get that screencap up coz i cant do screencaps with real player.
okay i used my camera to snap the screencaps. anan called me to go down to airport to complete some procedures and stuffs. my pass is finally ready. he was explaining to me the steps to change pass, the staff entrance and all, until at one point he realised that i worked there before, and he exclaimed, "alamak, you never say! waste my time." hahaha i told him before but he forgot. anyway he's very funny. im starting work this saturday. the registration of subjects for next semester is at the end of this month. i must remember to check my ntu email that i have long forgotten about. oh ive watched 19 meiheng shows so far, and 7 not watched. out of the 7, 2 are warehoused shows, 1 telemovie that will be showing this sunday, 2 unknown shows, 1 only available on tape, and 1 show which i might be buying. out of the 19 shows, i own only 2 shows. i feel so bad; maybe when i have money i will buy the originals if available.
05:57 p.m. yesterday was polling day. was also the day i finished watching ROH. before i met up with jasmine at yishun, i went shopping at sembawang. the silly sun plaza had nothing interesting, but i bought a skirt at this fashion. i scurried into kennise's car when it arrived because there was a dumb bird which was chasing me around at the bus stop. and so jas, kennise, pok pok tsui and i went to karen's house for bbq. we had fun and nice food, especially the prawns! succulent and juicy! after a while we were full, and dai ka-zeh lydia arrived with tonnes of hoying photos and articles. cleared up the area, and returned into the house to rest and start the second event-- mahjong! jasmine left early to meet her friends, so the five of us played, while pok pok tsui watched coz she doesnt know how to play. we watched the elections announcement while playing, and during the whole session, we were discussing about politics and stuffs, and the rest were constantly speaking teochew which i have limited understanding of. we took very long to finish 4 rounds, and in the end i lost $10. =( today i woke up at 2pm. frigging late, i know, but i was very very tired yesterday. i have two new shows to watch: secret of the heart and a matter of customs. although ive watched both shows before, i still want to watch again. haha. slept the whole day away with another evening nap. did housework, watched scooby-doo, LFD episode 15 and now idling in front of the computer again. nobody updates their blogs anymore so im bored online.
11:39 p.m. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEIHENG!
yay first time announcing her birthday here. didnt do much today. watched episode 14, watched ROH, cleared some magazines, and watched WOT. everyday i come online, surf the daily updates, and then i have nothing more to do online, so i play minesweeper and freecell. i figured if i stay home, i wont spend any money. which is true, because i havent spent any money for the past two days. i called anan and he said the airport police is still not done with my transit pass. grrr. last time they were so efficient and yet this time they are so lousified. with the airport working schedule not confirmed, everything that is after next week has to be on hold. i received an SMS from singtel, saying that ive been given an invite to MoS today. unfortunately, i dont go clubbing, and it was too last minute to do anything anyway. someone posted a link to tonnes of LFD screen captures of the episodes that are not shown yet. i felt quite sad after seeing the screencaps. because the later parts will be very bittersweet. argh the screencaps make me want to advance right to the last episode. pok pok tsui and i were chatting about LFD, and she told me to change nickname because meiheng's birthday was over. and i just told her about the saddening plot that will be coming right up, while i cracked my brains thinking of a new nickname. when i finally changed a new nick, she suddenly said "haha i just saw something funny", and she said it was my nickname, which was "爸爸妈妈". very funny meh? i asked her. haha actually i thought it was laughingly funny for that to be a nick. my mind was blank for a new nick, and i saw something that made me want to use that. so... thats my new nick. yesterday, if you are wondering, i cleared some unnecessary stuffs in my room, watched episode 13, ROH and WOT, and slept. nothing much yesterday, except adel showed me a very gross .gif image of a man being attacked by a giant bird, which i was freaked out by, but adel thought it was hilarious. i told her if i were the guy, i would die on the spot. and she said if she was there she would also die on the spot, laughing at me. -___-"
11:28 p.m. i dreamt that meiheng is my mother. that is so ridiculous. went tampines to shop. i bought ROH part one, a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, a belt and some miscellaneous household stuffs. i cant believe i bought a belt. a belt that is more expensive than the jeans. i spent $114.40 today. i cant really afford another shopping trip like this anymore. if only anan can reply me tomorrow about my working schedule, and if only the inefficient stadium can email us the concert schedules to sign up.

11:02 p.m. today slacked at home, watched ROH part 2, LFD episode 11 and 12, and WOT. i realised there is a very very blatant mistake in LFD episode 12. one moment ko ling was carrying a brown bag, and the next moment she was carrying a green bag. haha. yay, ko ling and siu chai got married in episode 12. just now i typed a long review of dream of colours, but i deleted it because i felt it was too messy. the character-linking in the show is terribly messy. so im going to make a condensed comment without the storyline, because if you are interested you will rent the show, but if not, then no point me telling the whole story here. among the 3 main girls, michelle (myolie wu), ella (sharon chan) and fei-fei (rain lee), ella stands out being a great hypocrite. michelle stays as average being the goody-two-shoes, and fei-fei annoys me to no end with her childish antics. for the triangular relationship between nick (tse kwan ho), elaine (melissa ng) and mario (sin lup man), i dont mind elaine being with nick, and i dont mind her being with none of them, but i feel absolutely disgusted whenever i see mario trying to get close to elaine. he has the words "i am a hum sup lou" written all over his face. the chemistry between nick and elaine is far better than with mario. luckily she chooses to be with none of them. the other boys, man (lai lok yee) and siu-lung (kenneth ma) dont stand out because their characters are not very outstanding in the first place. they seem like sidekicks for the girls, and like whenever the three girls feel bored, they will accompany them. i pity the boys. who's with who? ella + siu-lung, fei-fei + man, and michelle + nick. dont put too much hopes on the last pairing though, because the very last part of the last episode is really very perfunctory. if you are into fashion, watch this show. if your idol is starring, watch this show. otherwise dont waste your time watching this show. it has a perfunctory happy ending that you wouldnt be exactly happy, it has cliche plots and tonnes of youngster vibrancy which is so unrealistic. mine's the second reason. but thankfully i didnt buy the show, otherwise i would have wasted my money. nevertheless, elaine has really nice clothes in the show. realistic enough for the audience to copy to wear out to public. if not for meiheng, i wouldnt want to watch the show. i only liked the nice clothes and nice swarovski crystals. the end. quite a lousy review from me. because i cant stand reviewing a messy relationship. also, the characters in the show had lousy chemistry, they looked as if they were having individual performances. the best part of the show was probably the break-up scene of elaine and nick, because they had the most chemistry there, and the emotions were well-expressed. nothing nice in my current lifestyle except watching tv, vcds and clips. 3 more days. monday, 1 may 2006 went to taka to celebrate yiling's belated birthday at pepper lunch with yiling the birthday girl, yimyiu, kiaying, cuilin and huiyi. had a great chat during lunch. huiyi left for meeting before the lunch, and cuilin left after lunch for her kickboxing session that we expressed interest in. so the four of us headed to the new cathay cineplex, intending to catch a movie. when we reached, we realised the movies had late timings, so we went to plaza singapura. the ps cinema was full of people. we saw chengxi in the queue with his female friend. but i didnt bother about him coz i always see him in school and i dont give a heck about him coz i dont like his acting. anyway the movies that we wanted to watch were all sold out. so we decided to find a cafe to sit down and chat. but before that we went to the toilet. as usual it was full. when we left the toilet, we noticed someone entering the toilet. yiling was sharp and she suspected the person was kelly. i went back in and confirmed that she was really kelly. i wanted to take a photo with her, because i felt a photo will be better than an autograph. so the four of us waited outside the toilet for her. when she came out, i approached her, and she was very nice to oblige to my request. yimyiu pressed the shutter when she counted to two. -_-" then kelly left with her male friend, while we went to tcc for a drink. women of times episode one. the opening was very mushy. but it looked interesting. i cant imagine how xiang yun will react, seeing her hubby having intimate scenes with so many actresses. wenfang looked pretty and sophisticated. i think her clothes are nice. people in hk are efficient. ive finished watching dream of colours. yay i will have 2 more shows to watch after saturday. 4 more days. sunday, 30 april 2006 took gujie on a ntu tour. she wanted to see how ntu looks like. and i kept telling her there is nothing nice in ntu. and so all we did was to walk from can A to sci and take bus back to jurong point. bought a recipe of the heart vcd, but only bought part two. because ROH is out of stock, and the tampines branch has part one. so ive asked them to reserve one box for me to collect on tuesday. its super cheap coz there's 45% off. i think there might be a further discount but im afraid they wont stock up ROH coz i usually dont see ROH being stocked up. went to visit my grandparents. ive decided to learn hainanese. i know how to listen, and know some basic phrases, but i cant remember the uncommon ones. so i made a phrase list along with the pronunciation. i met a rude bus driver just now. he was driving bus 145, and i was approaching the bus from the front to board. there was also another guy standing at the door, but the driver got a really bad attitude and did the typical ah beng hand signal whereby he stretched his hand forth, palm straight, and arm moving up in a swift manner, as if to express displeasure. and he slammed the door shut and sped off. without me on the bus. i got all fed up because of his terrible service attitude, and called toa payoh bus interchange to lodge a complaint. there is no reason for him to reject a passenger waiting at the door just because he was in a bad mood or due to his attitude. my memory served me well when i remembered the dumb number plate. that lousy AP ah beng bus driver had better be punished. meiheng is back in hk and she will be having two meetings with her fans in hk. i so want to fly there now.
