11:05 p.m. today HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENNISE!
had a good sleep despite having leg cramps at 5am, causing papa and yongjie to scurry in to check things out after hearing my screams. sunday, 30 july 2006 my last day working at T1, and last day working with katherine. i will miss this great partner. hahah coz she's very nice to work with. we took turns to sleep for an hour. went to visit my grandparents. HH3 is released in poh kim, but only up till episode 20. am still deciding whether to buy or not, since i already have the dvds. but im definitely going to buy ITA. i tendered my resignation, so my last day at the airport will be 13 august. saturday, 29 july 2006 every saturday, the new partner would fly kite. this time the new partner simply brushed off her responsiblilty to appear at work with the reason "i didnt promise brian anything". thus katherine had to work another extra hour. hahaha kat needed four bowls from sakae sushi, so i went to ask the assistant manager, chris (aka the sushi guy whom i helped to buy the perfume and wallet for) for the bowls, saying that kat needed them for role playing. and he put the bowl on his head and gave a questioning look. hahahahah his expression was super hilarious! katherine and i couldnt stop laughing. im going to be at T2 in august. but i dont like to work in T2. haiz. gujie and i watched superman returns. the plot was pretty expected for a superhero show.

11:41 p.m. went to ikea to look for cabinets. went to pasir ris to try to rent TWDUP but to no avail. went simei but the lady said they erased all the tapes already. went tampines to buy the esprit shirt i wanted but they didnt have XS. grrr. chiew said i went on another SMRT challenge. i returned home with only my favourite pasir ris bread. i want to watch TWDUP. anyone who has it, please lend me. i cant stand it; i only watched the first two episodes and im already liking the show because of amanda. LG wont finish coming until early september. *screams in frustration* its the end of the month and im almost broke, but i need new shows to watch. either that or i fix my dvd player. or both. hopefully lydia has the show.
11:00 p.m. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EILEEN! haiz. i have no show to watch during meals. i kept rewatching RAS. i cant watch dvds on computer, so im stuck at episode 15 for hope for sale. megaupload is jammed again so i cant continue with till when do us part. so im left with no choice but to sleep away the afternoon, while i watch conqueror's story and stamp of love on tvbj at night. finished watching ultra protection. feeling quite sian that school is starting soon, and i dont have the elective i want. grrr. uploaded hk day four photos. if the photos do not appear, please right-click and show picture. i guess photobucket needs more time to load. monday, 24 july 2006 the dvd player had no sound again. i could only watch tapes so i rewatched riches and stitches. saw the ad for a case of misadventure on tvbj. hahaha i love that series of ads. flora and william were so cute. aaaah i miss flora. its been ages since i last saw her on tv. yunxin asked me about my electives. i realised that stupid ntu didnt inform us about any acknowledgement of electives. they didnt even bother to tell us about it in the email. so now i have no electives. =(
11:16 p.m. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YIMYIU! went for the smt challenge. the clues were quite easy. but the stations were set at physically demanding locations. the cruel smrt people made us climb hills, walk dozens of flights of stairs, run kilometres, and shout silly slogans. i did rockclimbing for the first time. and i like what i drew for one station. ahhahaha. we took 6 hours to finish the race, but the winner took frigging 3 hours to do so. we suspected that they flew to the destinations. but overall it was quite fun, our group had a great time despite being overly exhausted. hahahah. i am so tired. i realised i havent posted the hk day four photos. so sorry. saturday, 22 july 2006 my partner today was lianhua. i keep changing partners every week for the whole month of july. today the vatisthis didnt irritate us, but rather, the you-know-whos gave us nothing but trouble.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TSZ SHAN! swept the whole house and cleared the useless stuffs from my room. my dvd player is cranky, sometimes there is sound but sometimes there isnt. how annoying. there was a sammi song played during a scene in ultra protection. too bad it wasnt mariane's scene. chiew just told me that the thief show that she is currently watching is yet another crappy show. oh no, she keeps saying meiheng's old shows are crappy. errr, to an extent it is true. tvb let lousy actors lead the shows and left meiheng to fill in as second fiddle. haiz talent wasted. even i cant stand the leads. yoyo mung + deric wan = warehoused show. poor meiheng. thursday, 20 july 2006 celebrated yimyiu's birthday in advance with the birthday girl, meiqi, kiaying, michelle, huiyi and yiling. i took a hilarious video of a conversation between michelle and kiaying about approaching birthday celebrations on the sly. hahahaha i like to sneak candid shots and films. had dinner at spaggedie's. the jolin autograph session started with a bang and we took turns to go out to have a look. she looked really skinny and she had thick makeup. we played some word games, such as the dumb fuzzy wuzzy that i never guessed correctly. hahah it was quite fun. we went bowling after that. bowling was fun but the manager there had a serious bad attitude. never ever go to marina square's bowling alley. ive sinned. i just spent 30 bucks on a garfield tee from zara. cant help it, the garfield looks really nice. hahahah. wednesday, 19 july 2006 cleaned up my room. it looks so much neater now. currently i have too many shows to watch. ultra protection, hope for sale, and a newly-added till when do us part. i started watching the last one today, only up to episode one. i realised meiheng's hairstyle in it was the one she had in the secret of the heart special show. oooh i like that hairstyle. =D anyways, i havent been able to get hold of love guaranteed because of stupid megaupload. ive decided, that if i still cant get any episodes when it shows till episode 10, then i will wait for rental to be out to rent. luckily i havent started it, otherwise i will be itching for the continuation.
11:41 p.m. watched the love guaranteed beach volleyball clip. meiheng and sunny's chemistry is so good, they even said the same thing together. havent been able to catch hold of the show at the moment. but i found ultra protection. hahah last time i watched it twice but i didnt tape. so now im rewatching it. my dvd player is cranky. it can play the discs but there is no sound coming out. and my hope for sale doesnt have subtitles so i totally rely on the sound to understand the show. sooo.. i cant watch it for the time being. grrr.
11:46 p.m. today watched episodes 4-7 of hope for sale. episode 6 was cut off at the 39th minute. ada cut her hair short. seriously, meiheng looked quite unlike her when she has soooo short hair. she shouldnt listen to that stupid roy's advice to cut her hair. was happily watching that i was late. long story after that, which isnt quite appropriate to mention at this point of time. fetched jessica. now she knows my name. who knows whether she will still remember it tomorrow. oooh there is an article about dr. chan, which is super rare, now that she is only one foot in the entertainment industry. sunday, 16 july 2006 katherine had food poisoning, so i was alone until 820am. wenxin came to take over katherine's place. i was super tickled by wenxin's vatisthis jokes. and she knows who meiheng is!!! she went, "oh i know! she's the one in the police show that she acted as the murderer who was a transsexual." erm haha yeah. that pathetic 3 episodes in DIF4. wanted to sleep when i came home, but the moment i reached home, i felt like watching tv. so i started watching hope for sale. chiew said it was a trashy show. but i found the first 3 episodes quite watchable. it didnt have subtitles, luckily i was able to understand cantonese. but sailo, who joined in the watching during dinnertime, had zilch understanding of the language without subtitles. so i had to translate everything to him. anyways, the front part of the show had meiheng in long hair, which immediately made me link back to sum yue in herbalist affair. and when she said the phrase "¦¨¼ôD°Õ", i felt as if sum yue has jumped into this new character called ada. hhahah. love guaranteed trailers are available! the trailer with the kids is super funny. saturday, 15 july 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAZREEL! work was alright. the half price item for today was the elizabeth arden perfume. the sakae sushi assistant manager wanted to buy the swarovski pendant for his girlfriend but it was already sold out. so i helped him buy the perfume. hahaha so now i know the assistant manager. ahhah maybe next time i can get free sushis. met up with 615 gang for the competition discussion. saw wah biu-gor and his family at paragon. after that came home, didnt do much and went to sleep.
10:15 p.m. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALISON! yesterday i used the remaining time left from one of my tapes to tape yongjie's show. coincidentally, the tape has the last episodes of ups and downs in the sea of love, and a kindred spirit. after watching that single episode of kindred spirit, there was a sudden urge to rent the show. i mean, starting from meiheng's parts. i will be broke if i rent all 1128 episodes. hahaha. oooh i love shengxiao and vietnam. day three photos updated.
11:25 p.m. went to watch pirates of the carribean with yanting, tracey, yimyiu, kiaying and cuilin. by the way, yanting and cuilin's names are now interchangeable. the movie wasnt scary as i had thought. it was quite funny, but the only scary part was the opening scene with flocks of crows flying and dashing towards the screen. received the present from the girls. thanks so much! =)

11:17 p.m. dear friends, i think you might have thought i disappeared into thin air... ahahhaha. i was too busy to update every day's events ever since i came back from the wonderful hong kong. so please endure with the 2-week entries in one shot, from latest on top. up to you to read from either the top or bottom. to facilitate your reading, i included the hk entries in the july page even though 3 days were in june. hahaha. will add the photos soon. today HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALICIA! accompanied yimyiu to collect her commision. i was in a hurry coz i was happily watching fantasy hotel and didnt want to budge so i was frantically packing my stuff. at the mrt station, i realised that i wore the pair of spectacles that i usually wear at home (ie. blue geeky frame). ah, never mind, who cares anyway. the moment yimyiu saw me, she burst into laughter, asking what happened to my glasses. i explained to her about my screwed-up preparation and she started calling me smarty. -__-" yimyiu developed the hk photos, and we were so amused by it because she developed a lot of replica photos that were almost similar, especially the silly buzz lightyear one. when kiaying saw it after gym, she said we could play spot the difference with them. met up with kiaying for gym. we lost a measly 200 grams each, but soon this amount was regained after gym coz we didnt eat lunch and was starving like nothing. i ate chicken rice but didnt finish it coz i had to be back for dinner. when i reached home, the first thing i noticed was the whole plate of chicken wings on the table. gosh if i had known i wouldnt have eaten the same thing before going home. monday, 10 july 2006 slept from 12am till 2pm. darn i should have followed my first intuition about betting on draw, if not for katherine's constant persuasion. hahahha. luckily i didnt bet much. slacked around at home rewatching fantasy hotel. meiheng's character name in love guaranteed is called hazel. speaking of which, i still cant open the trailers in the mnfc website. rapidshare is my nemesis. i can never download things from it. sunday, 9 july 2006 work was alright. just that there was an insurge of people just when it was time to knock off. and the person from the next shift was super duper late, resulting in katherine and i doing OT. hopefully they pay us for the extra time. went to my grandparents' place to give them the stuffs i bought from hk. was absolutely tired that i didnt want to wake up after dinner to go home. when i reached home, i came online for a while and fell asleep readily. saturday, 8 july 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN! my partner was cherysa. but she was 45 minutes late. haiz shall not mention about it. i bought the swarovski pendant!! hahaha. i always thought the pendant would be easy to sell, but the sales werent too good. in the end the staff bought quite a lot to up the sales. the half price people, including katherine, were all playing daidee coz there was nobody around to sell to. i played two games with them and i won both. ahahah what was it about me playing daidee in hk and winning almost every game? ahahah. met up with the hk gang (or shisanyi's version: the pig parts) and cuicui. we exchanged our photos and made a ruckus in a restaurant called changing appetites at marina square. friday, 7 july 2006 finished rewatching conqueror's story. i realised there was a scene with yue gei not included in the story. its a pity coz meiheng looked very nice in that scene. i am going to make a meiheng special. ahahha stay tuned. thursday, 6 july 2006 went marina square with jasmine and pppt. i couldnt get out of my withdrawals that i almost spoke cantonese with the shopkeepers. rewatched conqueror's story. anyway the conqueror's story started showing on tvbj today. tvbj is seriously showing all the meiheng shows after showing a round of mariane shows. riches and stitches, green hope, dark tales, dream of colours, the conqueror's story. hahaha great. wednesday, 5 july 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZONGXIANG! the reason why i need so long to type an entry is because my memory will stick to the day that im trying to recall. and will have no mood to continue for more entries. so please be patient while waiting for them. meanwhile, the hk entries will be organised in this format: words first, followed by photos of the day. photos will come later when we compile our photos on saturday. i received laozhao's postcard!! thanks so much laozhao! i'd like to thank papa, my grandparents, gujie, auntie jenny, the pig parts and shisanyi, minling, hanyee, jesslyn, kennise, karen, jasmine, pppt, laozhao, vu, tracy, sarah, eileen and ph for the birthday gifts and/or wishes. thanks~ =) (and the people i forgot to mention who wished me happy birthday) tuesday, 4 july 2006 today was subject registration for the business and accountancy people. i had a long discussion with yimyiu and kiaying on the phone, and yanting on the net regarding this. anyway, no one can have timetables worse than mine. my tuesdays are crap coz first lesson starts at 830 till 1030. second lesson: 1630 to 1830. thats SIX FREAKING HOURS of break. haiz i shall find a way to effectively make use of the time. finally finished uploading all the photos in my camera. there's still photos from the rest. gosh~~ monday, 3 july 2006 the conqueror's story will be shown on thursday on tvbj. so i started with the rewatching. withdrawal symptoms so didnt have the mood to recall about the fun trip. anyway photos were overloading so i needed time to upload all 385 photos. sunday, 2 july 2006 started unpacking. it was easy to unpack, and i was amazed by the stuffs i bought. i actually bought more tops for the two guys at home than for myself. gross i regretted not spending more money since i still had extra cash left. i thought it was a cute sight, that the first day we all carried you-know-where bags. second day was all disneyland bags. third day was all esprit bags. fourth day was all G2000 bags, and the last day was all the lo por beng bags. ahahaha. the stupid cathay plane was a hoax. it couldnt auto-move like what the display picture said. and when i tried it, the rubber base rolled off!!! rubbish. to think i paid HK50 for this rubbish plane. watched the conqueror's story special. it was about 10 minutes long, just with the actors discussing about their respective roles. luckily there were quite some scenes with meiheng. hahahaha.
saturday, 1 july 2006 day five, last day we set off a bit later than the past few days, so we had brunch. we checked out early and left our barang-barang with the hotel. alan was so afraid that some you-know-who would steal his eeyore soft toy so he lugged it around. ahahah. last minute shoppings, we went to harbour city. i bought the U2 jacket that i eyed for quite some time. i was torn between white and brown, eventually i chose brown coz i swore not to buy anymore white stuffs due to the sufferings my dear white bag endured from the colour-run of my jeans. the zara at harbour city was in a mess coz ahem today was you-know-whos' liberty day. oooh i bought a zara kids tshirt (meiqi stressed: zara boys). and yimyiu was regretting not buying her zara skirt from times square yesterday. time for lo por bengs. they all wanted to buy lo por bengs home, so we went back to tsim sha tsui to buy. i didnt buy coz the last time i bought it, i didnt realise it expired within four days so by the time i realised, they were all spoilt beyond consumption. however, i hopped over to the neighbouring okashi land (titbits store) and found the sweets that nick gave to elaine in dream of colours! hahah i liked the sweet tin. told you im a sucker for tins. yay i was so happy with my buy, that i soon realised that i should buy 2 tins so that i could keep one and eat one. grrr. went back to mongkok for yanting's bag. strange, that during weekdays the streets were filled with people that we thought would be in school or at work, but during weekends we saw lesser people. but more you-know-whos la. we went back to the hotel to wait for the bus to fetch us to the airport. minling and gang came back and we discussed where we went. i saw hanyee's adidas bag from tung chung, and totally regretted not going to tung chung, my old hunt. yesterday night we took a photo in the room, which had meiqi's legs enlarged to the brim. so we called her ju geuk. on the bus to airport, meiqi declared she erased the ju geuk photo!! and somehow the bernice liu photo in yimyiu's camera disapeared as well. but we all gave her new names, like trotters ang, trottress ang, and ang mei Q (given by the tour guide). and meiqi gave yimyiu the name ju pat pat aka pig backside. so now we all have pig names except shisanyi, coz she has two names, another being cuilin coz kiaying kept calling her cuilin. we didnt have time to shop in hk's duty free. i supposed they were the same as the ones in singapore anyway. coz we were taking our own sweet time having our hui lau shan dessert. so we dashed to our gates, only to realise we neednt dash coz there were tonnes of people late. so goodbye to hong kong, you-know-where, and all the stuffs that we regretted not buying. meiqi and i watched ice age 2 on the plane. i was tempted to spend money on the plane coz there was a cute mini screen cleaner in the shape of a fat cathay plane. so i bought it. hahhaha. the air stewardess serving me was this japanese lady who seriously looked like a veteran tvb actress, cheng ho-wai, aka ko ling's mother. hahahah. she was very nice. and there was this steward who winked at me when he handed the plane to me. i didnt take note of it, but yanting, who was behind me, later told me she saw the wink and commented the steward was hilarious coz he did this spastic action when he said "you want ice?" ahhahaha. when we landed, i showed yimyiu the fat plane and the cup i stole, and she announced so loudly, "wah they also gave you a free cup arh?" i was super embarrassed and yimyiu immediately realised that it was a stolen item. anyway the cup is really cute. so welcome back to singapore, where the four-letter word SALE is a big fat facade. papa wanted red wine but i had limited sg cash so i bought the cheapest one. hahaha. yanting, kiaying and meiqi zoomed off home after buying nothing at dfs to watch the england vs portugal match. papa came to fetch me home. anyways the men in my house were pretty sad that england lost. i was pretty high after the hk trip so it didnt affect me much. super hk withdrawals that i couldnt sleep so early, i watched the brazil vs france match. and YES i was super exhilarated that france won coz i dont like brazil. ive mentioned before that i wanted anyone but brazil to win. hurhurhur it became true~~ yays.
friday, 30 june 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGAN! day four we trotted off to causeway bay. times square was said to be selling all the high-end stuffs. but during this wonderful sale period, everything there was cheap like nothing. right when we entered times square, we already spent money in G2000 leisure, which was selling clothes with the U2 logo. we shopped quite a bit there, and guess what i saw?? meiheng!... ...'s advertorial. i became super excited and started snapping to no end. only yanting gave face to help me snap photos. hahaha thankfully i still have someone to accompany me on idol chases. too bad yesterday meiheng didnt come back. we headed to island beverly to shop. just outside sogo, we spotted a TVB camera. note: T-V-B. we looked right and left to spot artistes, and i saw bernice liu. the silly yanting kept insisting that she wasnt bernice. so the rest crossed the road to island beverly to wait for shisanyi and i, while i called out to bernice in english (i wouldnt be so stupid to display my nervous cantonese to a person born in canada). she nicely obliged to shisanyi and i a photo each. and afterwards a crowd started to appear right before her requesting for photos. guess we started the craze. so we went across the road to meet the rest. i wasnt too excited coz, you know, bernice is nowhere near my favourite, but for remembrance's sake i took a photo with her. then we spotted steven ma!! shisanyi started exclaiming that she liked him, so the two of us ran back to outside sogo. but he was filming a scene which required him to cross the other road. so we waited for him to finish with it before approaching him. this time, of course i spoke in cantonese. somehow my cantonese is better when i meet artistes other than my own favourites. this time the rest came over and we took a group shot. poor shisanyi was left out of the group shot. after shopping at island beverly, we went for lunch. once outside, bernice walked past us. hahah we didnt bother about her. i was thinking to myself, if i spotted her the third time, i would ask her for an autograph. (the expert me always carry a notebook and a marker and camera everywhere i went when in hk) so yes, she did walk past again so i approached her. she was on the phone but was nice to sign for me. then the rest wanted to take a photo with her so i took for all of them, this time with shisanyi included. after lunch we rushed to central coz it was evening soon and we wanted to snap photos of the peak view in the day. went up to the peak, snapped photos and later went to madame tussauds. before going up to take photos, meiqi, yimyiu and i went to the ladies, leaving kiaying, tracey and yanting outside waiting. when we came down, we were all shocked to see yanting armed with her trusty sunglasses and trusty umbrella, ready to fight against the blazing sun. omg that was the most auntie look she had, really living up to her shisanyi nickname. she later donned the same two equipment up at the peak galleria, so of course the soon-to-be mediaperson me sneaked a photo of the auntie look. hahahahaha. madame tussauds was fun, coz we kept taking spastic photos of almost everyone interesting. shisanyi also told me about her christmas countdown, that i burst out laughing hysterically upon hearing it. we had macdonalds dinner at the peak galleria after a long discussion cum rest. they had the new sour plum juice, which yimyiu thought it tasted yucky (she said it tasted like petrol). so i exchanged my lemon tea with her petrol. actually it wasnt that bad, but seriously, we could have ordered something ten times nicer, like the good 'ol lemon tea. and so the day ended... yeah with our usual activity: going to you-know-where. yanting wanted to buy a bag, but in the end, yimyiu meiqi and i all bought bags except for yanting. the bag was freaking cheap for its size. aaah i love my bag. i love you-know-where. we all gathered in my room to watch germany vs argentina. yippie i made the correct guess of 1:1 full time. kiaying was the winner of the day at gu dong da hui coz she bought 2 bags from mango and zara at times square. hahhaha.
thursday, 29 june 2006 day three went for dim sum breakfast. the place was full of old men who were flipping newspapers and talking among themselves. went tsim sha tsui. the avenue of stars looked nicer in the day, in my opinion. took a lot of spastic but nice photos. yanting led us to the esprit outlet, and we all got crazy upon spotting the greatest four-letter word: SALE. but this year's esprit sale wasnt quite nice, i only bought 2 items there. maybe the tung chung warehouse would have better designs. walked the boutiques along the roads. tsim sha tsui is full of bridal boutiques that obviously werent for us. so we wasted quite some time in that area. therefore we headed back to mongkok's langham centre. that place had quite a lot of shops. and i bought the ah-wong bus and taxi! ahhaha. i regretted coz i should have bought more to resell in singapore. hahah the girls kept saying i shop for the sake of reselling. the clothes there were quite nice too. somehow i felt that buying guys' clothes is ten times easier than buying girls' clothes. i actually went into a sports shop, spotted a nice le coq sportif shirt and bought it for yongjie without hesitation. and that cool shirt cost HK171. hahhahah. maybe we walked too much, i felt quite sian during dinnertime. we went to sweets dynasty to eat, and later back to avenue of stars to look at the lights. didnt do much today coz we concluded that we wasted time in tsim sha tsui.
wednesday, 28 june 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! day two went to mido cafe at temple street for breakfast. then we set off to disneyland!! i bought the disneyland pass which had the pluto picture on it. hahaha. disneyland was fun! but it rained and stopped and rained again, so we bought a poncho which is frigging expensive coz of the mickey picture. hahaha. yimyiu was the ultimate, she wore the poncho inside out, and when we told her, she flipped the poncho back to wear. so she was wet inside out. we queued up to take photos with mickey and minnie, and there were queues for tigger, daisy and goofy. but no pluto. =( played the rides, i love the space mountain. it was raining so we caught the rainy day express show with all the characters on the train. watched the lion king show, the lion king figurine was cute. the best show was mickey's philhar magic, with the 3D effects and the adorable donald duck. i instantly became a fan of donald. hahahha. we couldnt believe we spent the whole day in disneyland. took the river ride with weird people cutting queues. and all the you-know-whos. went back to main street, and we bought so many stuffs. watched the fireworks. tracey was frantically trying to make meiqi's chip and dale stand beside the castle. haahahha. the fireworks were pretty. and meiqi shouted "hou leng arh!" towards the end and we thought she was mad. after leaving the wonderful disneyland, we were too tired to realise that we skipped dinner! so we had a quick meal at the cha can ting near the hotel. we went back to chao liu te qu to change kiaying's pants. soon we started calling that place you-know-where. during gu dong da hui, i was the winner of the day, thanks to disneyland and myself for being a sucker for their nice tins and tonnes of pluto stuffs. and we played daidee with me winning almost every game. hurhurhur. and my birthday ended. yanting and i went to use the internet at the hotel, and it cost freaking HK50 for half and hour!! madness. went to check meiheng's website, and my dreams of meeting meiheng at the airport crashed when it was said that meiheng was going to san francisco, and wasnt coming back with the rest from canada. i was utterly disappointed. i didnt mind waking up at 5am to go to the airport but haiz in the end pretty woman didnt come back. =( thanks to kennise for informing me, and more thanks to yanting for the roaming.
tuesday, 27 june 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE! day one went to the airport. minling, hanyee, alan and his friend eric were also staying in our hotel and going off together with us. we were happily strolling and eating at macdonalds that we were almost late for the flight. my first time on a cathay plane. got all fascinated by the silly tv screen. yimyiu and yanting, who were beside me, had to endure my laughters from watching the super trio show. after that i switched channels and watched some donald duck cartoon which had pluto in it. yimyiu's lip balm suddenly started oozing out by itself because of the air pressure. the plane's cutlery was so cute that i stole some back. hahah. i was pretty excited that i didnt even try falling asleep on the plane. when we arrived at hong kong, the guide took us to the hotel. it was actually a lodging house, aka bin guan. the room was quite small, but it had all the essentials. actually we could have changed the rooms coz they gave us smoking rooms, but we were too lazy to move our stuffs, and they cleared the smoke from yimyiu's room already so we just settled with our current rooms. we walked around the places near our hotel. went into this building called chao liu te qu, or fashion district, which had a lot of clothes and accessories. we immediately started the shopping and i bought 2 tshirts and the rest also bought some clothes. =) went to sino centre too, but couldnt find any tvb artistes photos. kiaying wanted to eat her cheese lobster spaghetti and she took us to a chinese restaurant. their lobsters cost a bomb. but they didnt have any spaghetti, since it was a chinese restaurant. so after a few rounds of talking to the waitress, yimyiu declared that there werent any spaghetti and so we settled on ee noodles, some vegetables and meat. when the noodles arrived, kiaying looked at it and said "oh this is the noodle that i want". and all of us burst out laughing nonstop. apparently the dinner wasnt filling, coz we werent going to spend a bomb on our first day eating expensive delicacies. so we headed to hui lau shan. hahaha. as usual i love their mango desserts. after dessert we went to the espirt boutique but you know, boutiques dont have big sale, so i only bought a tshirt which i really liked. hahaha. went to ladies' street and saw zzen chang, a mediacorp actor. hahah to think we actually saw singaporean actors in a foreign land. we went back to the hotel quite early. yimyiu, meiqi and kiaying went off, saying they needed to get something, leaving tracey, yanting aka shisanyi and i to go back to the hotel first. from their sneaky expressions, i knew they were going to get a cake for me. i told tracey about my awareness and she said i should pretend to not know about it. ahahhahaha. after they came back, we went over to meiqi and yimyiu's room. i was exploring the room and was elated to find a cute refrigerator, but when i opened it i saw the cake, and all of them were screaming "xuelin!! why you open the fridge!?!?!?!?" hahaha it slipped out of my mind. after my bath, at 12 midnight, all of them came over to mine and kiaying's room holding the exposed cake. hahahah. thanks so much gals! we had gu dong da hui in my room, which was actually to decide our itinery for the next day, and to compare our total expenditure. hahaha we set off to hk without a proper itinery. so we always discussed the next day's itinery the night before. yay what a wonderful start to my birthday. =)
