spectrum ended quite on time today, to our joy. the group of us in spectrum became quite close due to seeing each other three times a week. =)
hmm wondering how to get wenfang's animation, since im not m1 subscriber. hahaha, return of the queen means more money to be spent, because im going to search for the two magazines with mi on the cover.
and guess what? she really has a book! its newly published but i dont know if its already available in singapore. haha shall check it out, along with the recommended novels, tomorrow after studio lessons. =D
more assignment due dates approaching. i cant seem to escape the clutches of interviewing, and so does everyone in CS.

had presenter training class for spectrum. all of us had fun dabbling with the vision mixer, autocue, cameras and mics. but we ended very late, so i only reached home at 11pm.
was reading some prefaces and articles written by and/or about mi. she should seriously publish a book with all her writings and drawings.

supposedly a day to do my work, but as usual i slept through the whole morning. rewatched man's best friend. ever since i bought the vcds way back in "hohoho-i-cant-remember-when", there has been three stages of watching this show.
first period i watched it, it was for jessica. second time i watched it for joe. third was for sammi. poor louis. this is a fine example of a good investment: one show, three idols to watch at different stages.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WENFANG!
went to grace's birthday chalet. before that i was window-shopping at white sands. the whole building changed sooo much! good in a sense coz more shops were added. but i was terribly disappointed when i realised my favourite shop, which i used to peer in whenever i went there, was gone! they closed veeko and substituted it with its sister brand, wanko! roarrr so upsetting.
grace's chalet was fun! the food was nice, and for us it was the good'ol heart attack and bluff. even though i felt heart attack was quite dumb, it was still very fun screaming our heads off. =)

today we had the student A/B discussion early at 7am, booked out the equipment and started filming shawn and tu's parts. took a long long time, and yet we were only less than 25% done. luckily the deadline is extended. having the rushes completed by next week is near impossible, since we can only do them on weekdays.
had my accounting presentation. it was quite good, thanks to all our 4-hour online discussions. thanks to my groupmates! =) finally passed the hurdle. and finally the end of my 12-hour days in school for the week! first time im feeling relieved that thursday has ended. i need sleep!
i love the weekends. basically the moment i reached home, i forgot everything about schoolwork. was thinking of doing some personal editing, or find a recommended novel to read.
i found out her second online persona!!! coz i was scrolling around and saw this super familiar signature. and the title looked very different from that of other users. hehheh nothing escapes my eyes! hahahaha feeling proud of myself for that amazing discovery. =D

only slept for a while, and had to wake up to attend studio lessons with uncle tan. was quite fun. but the moment i reached home, i really couldnt take it anymore, and slept till 7pm. tomorrow its another 7am to 730pm day, coz we have 229 filming early in the morning. my 3-day weeks arent purely three days anymore. its three WHOLE LONG days. :(

one word to sum up the day: BUSY. had accounting group discussion, 229 tutorial, student A/B discussion, accounting lecture, and spectrum. all the way from 830am to 830pm. by accounting lecture, i was already half conked-out, and during presenter class, there was a period that my eyelids were getting heavier by the minute. i think every tuesday i will be this busy.

a quick update. hedwig's lecture was super hilarious, especially when she talked about the newspaper errors, and also about the unmentionable ones. biz law lecture was very interesting, and i think the lecturer is good. too bad im not in his tutorial group.
finally finished the online discussion. there's another meeting early tomorrow morning. its going to be a long long day, probably another 12 hours in school again. and im pissed! yesterday add drop ended, and yet today there are 5 vacancies for astronomy!! i want to smack stars real hard. >.<

gosh i did my accounting assignment the whole afternoon and yet i couldnt complete it in time for my online group discussion. the discussion took 4 hours, and we havent finished all the questions!! now im both mentally and physically exhausted from it.
end of add drop period. the trauma of add drop is finally over. i have only 16 AUs this semester, and a freaking three-day week! actually i'd really like to get another subject even if it means a five-day week, coz i want to clear my AUs asap. never mind, i foresee that accounting needs a lot of time to comprehend, judging from the speed of our discussion tonight.
watched yesterday once more during discussion. i still love the theme song very much. anyway, today is the day! return of the queen! ah mi appeared for a charity event in happy valley, the pictures are up, and she looks gorgeous! =D very much nicer than the sk-II function pictures. and her concert is confirmed! =D new songs, new album, new movie... SAMMI IS BACK!!

went to the gym with yimyiu. for the previous weeks we had been planning to go but it always happened to rain, and that usually dampened our moods about moving our butts out of the house, let alone traveling to tampines. today was quite a sunny day, so we went ahead with our delayed trip. who knows, 人算不如天算, it started drizzling when i reached. and when yimyiu arrived, it was pouring like nuts! so we idled around tampines mall for a while, and when the rain was smaller, we hurriedly headed to the gym.
HAIZ. yet another 人算不如天算 incident, when we were just steps to the gym, yimyiu's sports shoes' sole came off!! we were that close to warding off the jinx. thus we walked back to century square to buy superglue, and then back to the stadium. by then we were already exhausted and feeling humid. nevertheless we were determined to remove the "gym=rain" jinx, and luckily the "bonds in 3 seconds" superglue worked.
in conclusion we successfully worked out at the gym despite the rain trying means to stop us. hhahhah. received ten commandments and big revenge cds. but big revenge cd didnt have any lyrics! and the funniest was that included in the cd was instead andy hui's fan club application form!! inside a sammi cheng cd!! i thought it was super hilarious. and his form is twice the size of sammi's fan club form. hahahah. =D

no lessons today, but because i have to work on my presentation assignment, i went to school to search for the accounting textbook.
finished reading good times, bed times. its the fastest novel that i finished, mainly because everything inside is just like a mould from the movie. even though there are some scenes that the movie didnt have, they did shoot the scenes, just that they werent added maybe due to time constraints or they were plain unnecessary. also, the novel was super readable because more than half of it was dialogue, without much narration and 内心戏. out of the three novels, i still like needing you best. =)

i have a presentation due next week! thats freaking fast. luckily its just presenting the tutorial assignments, which are, at the moment, quite do-able. hedwig's class was not as stressful as i imagined to be, but yunxin felt otherwise. maybe the stress part has yet to come. biz law (yes i took biz law instead of chinese language, thankfully) tutorial was interesting, except i wasnt sure of the tutor's gender, even when he started speaking. i only knew when he introduced his name. ive made new friends in both the business tutorials. quite enjoyable. =)
its kind of contradictory, that when im unhappy, i do housework, yet papa didnt notice it. when im happy, i slack with the housework, and papa came home scolding me for not doing them. haiz.
i received good times, bed times novel. yay my third novel bought from hk auctions. =D

i spent 12 hours in school, from 830am to 830pm. lessons were okay except for chinese. ive decided to drop them. spectrum was fun, we viewed the demo recording, and had a pizza treat from dr chua. this semester seems so different from the previous semesters. i seriously dont like searching for modules other than CS ones.

the day passed relatively well. the computer repair guy came and changed back everything to its original state. yay now i have my old msn, explorer and media player! am kind of dreading the chinese lessons that are in all the days of the week except mondays. i feel that the lecturer isnt very good in explaning things. he just makes things more complicated.
oooh! if the news about mi's concert is confirmed, im really going to fly there for it. i can just imagine myself doing that already. hmm to be optimistic about the tentative trip, im going to make myself feel as if the weeks will zoom by.

was feeling super lazy. lazy for housechores and even lazy to lift myself from the sofa. went out with yimyiu to orchard to walk around. didnt really want to go to school the next day coz was feeling lazy. i bought a top from zara at $9.90. heh. was really fun to just walk and shop around aimlessly. but too bad i have no money.
finally got invited access to mantown!! was happily reading her messages when i realised her post signature is super cute. dont know whether she made it herself or not, since she's so talented in drawing. and finally! mnfc website is up and running! at long last.

今天天气转好，没雨，太阳未算强烈，稍微有凉风，是适宜外出的天气。
然而我却选择呆在家里。
百无聊赖的我随手转到翡翠卫星台，观看了18 年前的台庆。
当年的人事物，只能回味。
在惊叹当年邓萃雯，李添盛及李香琴的样子和今日的有些差异之外，同时也感受到什么是“桃花依旧，人面全非”。
那年，肥姐刚生女儿，与秋官十分恩爱。
但是如今。。。
在看的当儿，顺手拿起昨日刚收到的魔幻厨房电影小说，继续从昨晚停读的第二章阅起。
断断续续的，我从第二章读到第五章，中间观看了劲歌颁奖典礼，感触良多。
曾志伟的开场白说的一点也没错。
今时今日的香港乐坛的确缺少了殿堂级的歌手。
新人的涌现，年轻一代的歌手，多了活力，少了感染力。
男歌手方面，幸好还有华仔。
女歌手方面，至今未出现拥有像梅姐般的压场能力，歌唱功力，及观众缘魅力的女歌手。
除了Sammi 之外。
在同一天目睹香港视坛和香港乐坛的巨大变化。
香港乐坛曾经风光一时，在亚洲乐坛里霸占了90%的席位。
但当那些红透亚洲的歌手逐一淡出乐坛，香港已慢慢失去乐坛大哥大的地位。
天王天后，已成为历史。
昔日的真正天王天后，不是以半退休式参加活动，或者忙于私人事务久未露面，就是已经离开人世。
正徘徊于天王天后称号的歌手，除了刚册封的新四大天王，其他歌
手都还没
被外界及听众公认为天王天后，也表示他们的功力未到标准。

其实小说和电影内容大为相同，只是略小细节有些改变。
我尚未读毕，但我仿佛已经进入了慕容优的内心世界。
其实她是个很简单的女人，只想有个简单轻松的爱情。
但是她周围的人事物，把她的世界复杂化。
朋友的利用，忽略，出卖，使我觉得她们把阿优当成理所当然。
与此同时，自己也感同身受。
所以，我喜欢沉浸在小说的世界里。
因为一方面能加以了解自己，另一方面能逃避现实。
不知道是好是坏，我还是能挺快的抽离那虚拟世界。
对于细佬的惰性及极度差的时间观念，深感不满。
对于刚才文件突然自动关闭而未储存，非常纳闷。
因为不想花时间重新写过。
但最终依然坚持重写，因为自己下决心完成的事，一定要做完。
结果重写的版本比原先失去的版本多出好多元素。
想法也会在那十几分钟内有所改变。
时间，对于人事物，是有极大的影响力。
这就是我在以上想表达的看法。
时间不断的流失，关键在于是否珍惜及善于运用它。
往事，是回味还是后悔，在于我们的掌控之中。

went for HC150 tutorial. was quite confused, especially when the professor talked about stuffs that i learnt from the HC102 lecture. figured that i need to read up more on both topics.
received magic kitchen novel. improved my hainanese. ive got a five day week, no thanks to stupid stars. wednesdays and fridays have a one-hour tutorial each. the computer repair guy didnt come today. shall not be picky about the dumb advertisement and/or the windows update. i should, and will be able to adapt to changes.

went for intro to chinese language lecture.
it looked interesting.
solved the problem of my short ringing tone.
my computer came back with changed screws, a stupid start-up ad of the repair company, and windows updated.
the guy didnt bring the spoilt motherboard back, and papa flared up.
i almost flared up at the poor guy for updating windows.
afterall, the guy who brought the cpu back wasnt the same person as the one who came on monday.
but, there is a reason why i didnt want to update windows.
if i wanted to, i would have done it myself a long time ago.
live msn is hideously ugly.
internet explorer has an even uglier icon, and i dont like the interface.
the most pissing thing is that i cant do screen captures on media player.
i am a media student and yet i cannot do screencaps in media player anymore.
if anyone knows the keyboard shortcut to do screencaps for the stupid new media player, please tell me.
darn the repair company. tomorrow when they come back with the old motherboard, im going to ask them to remove their dumb ad in my computer that reminds me of their ridiculous service everytime i turn on my computer.
im more pissed with the computer than anything else now.
dont tell me how wonderful the new windows is.
i know i wouldnt like the new windows, that was why i didnt change it in the first place.

wednesdays are now my off days. went to the neighbourhood doctor, who was quite fierce. i was quite intimidated by her. hmmm nothing much about my life, except that this week is going to be pretty slack, because the real stuff comes in next week. oh my computer went for repairs coz the motherboard got electrocuted, and will be coming back on thursday evening. i need some books at night! so bored. got to hurry up type my entries otherwise papa would be back soon.

woke up early to try to add subjects in the year 2 timeslot, but still couldnt. thus i emailed susan lai. i guess she must be going crazy and stressed out by our emails and calls about stars. thanks to her effort, we could then register at 11am. hmmm i think i have too little subjects.
if you are wondering, i was using my father's computer to register. i could only use his computer when he goes to work. which means i can only use it in the morning. so now i come online in the day. haha. luckily my house has 3 computers.
went for accounting lecture. it was quite boring. but it didnt seem as complicated as i thought. after that went to print notes. speaking of which, the islabs have new names. they are named after the people who donated money to the school. oh it sounded utterly dumb. it doesnt sound fascinating to have a computer lab named after you. XXX PC Lab. hahhaha.
tv practicum briefing was interesting. cannot wait to start the practicum lessons, even though it means staying late in school on mondays and tuesdays, especially tuesdays coz my tuesdays are whole days again. but am still excited to be in the crew.
took the subject called the science of chinese characters. its about the evolution of chinese words and characters. the lecture notes looked interesting, but i missed the first lecture coz it was this morning and i hadnt added it at that time.

start of school. had 2 lectures which were only introductory. in the evening my computer couldnt on, and we called the technician to check. he said the power supply in the cpu was down. so i couldnt access the internet. stars was screwed up. it labelled us as year 3, and yet we still couldnt add subjects during the year 3 timeslot. hmm since i had nothing to do, i re-read needing you. in times like this, i wished the two books i ordered from hk would arrive immediately.

went to the temple with irene yeema and auntie monica. after that we went to orchard isetan coz they wanted to buy me some clothes. i think i tried about 20 pieces of clothing and was in the fitting room for a very very long time. coz every time i opened the door to let them see the clothes, they would hand me more to try on. luckily there wasnt anyone waiting for the changing room. at the end of the day, they bought me 3 tops, 1 pants and 1 skirt. feeling quite bad coz the clothes cost a lot.
tomorrow's the start of school. didnt get my electives i think, if stars displays the accurate information. if i dont have any electives, i cant possibly get by the semester with only 14 AUs!
it seems that i blog more during the semester, or when the semester is approaching. this would be the only place for me to utter rubbish.
was watching the JSG 25 years review on tvbj. caught a few scenes with sammi! but nothing fully about her, except for the legendary kitchen declaration, aka 厨房宣言. ate prawns so now the prawn smell is lingered on my fingers. suddenly got runny nose. and i kept wanting to sneeze. oh no.

collected some money from auctions. was a slacko today. time flew past, and i felt as if i didnt do anything. watched enter the phoenix. i watched it before a few years back. taped the 30-second cameo appearance of sammi in it! quite spastic of me to tape it, because youtube has the cantonese version of her cameo part.
yesterday, at the shocking pink century square, i went into sembawang and asked if they had any sammi cds. the guy pulled out several albums from the racks, and i replied i have all of them already. it was then that i realised i spent hundreds on ah mi's merchandise already! no wonder ive been feeling like a bankrupt in the whole month of december. now i know why singaporeans love CNY, besides having off days from work and school. because CNY makes all of us feel richer than before.
just when i got carried away typing my overdue entries, the internet has to die on me. :/

mahjong time! hahah this time round i lost big time. i lost $6.20. hahaha not a lot compared to yimyiu's $13 deficit the previous time. kiaying's relatives came for a while, and that was when she started winning. cuilin was again the biggest winner. hoohoo this time i was the one using the pencil. mahjong is so fun! every session is a learning experience.
after that cuilin went to meet vanessa and peiren, while yimyiu, kiaying and i walked around tampines mall and century square. we concluded these two malls are becoming 复古, because the stores were either playing oldies or CNY songs. and century square had a new look! the exterior of the building is now in shocking pink. hmm it doesnt look very nice though. anyway i was shocked from all the pink (thats why i termed it shocking pink, also from mi's album) that i didnt realise the sogo building has been torn down! haiz living in the north has made me a suaku in the east. i'd probably not recognise my hometown if i go there now.
figured that singaporeans love the festives, because the moment christmas and new year were over, everyone cannot wait to welcome the next long weekend plus festive holiday. everywhere is "dong dong dong qiang", and even mcdonalds took the early train to welcome CNY. must admit mcdonalds is quite clever to promote the new burger and the delivery service at the same time in a single ad. but its sooo early! i havent even started school and yet the ads are enticing me to embrace the holidays and slack around.
collected my tvb weekly magazines. zilch news about meiheng. wakey wakey meiheng! she has been on holiday for more than half a year. longer than mine! and her website is down for months. =(

yesterday i finally went to the post office. it was super crowded because of the long weekend. today papa started work after his break. went vivocity for the first time. haha i feel so backward. for a moment i thought i was lost in the gigantic mall. collected another 4 cds and 2 vcds. watched ah mi's shocking colors 2001 concert vcd. so exciting! some of the audience got to kiss her on the cheek! but all were girls. there was a male fan who wanted to kiss her but she siam-ed away. hahaha.

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY MICHELLE!
it has been a long and eventful day. early afternoon i went to the temple, and then to my grandparents' place for lunch. then went to huiyi's grandpa's house at waterside to start the preparation for michelle's big party. dhs is no longer in use until it has completed renovation. even the words at the front gate is removed! haiz the good old days...
huiyi, yimyiu, kiaying and i went down to the bbq pit to start the decoration. blowed the balloons and stuffs. initially we thought there werent enough food, but as everyone started arriving, we realised there was too much food! yimyiu started psycho-ing everyone to eat more. "look! the beehoon is calling you to eat it!"
the bbq was fun, even though we were all sticky and itchy. the mosquitoes there love yimyiu very much. she was so badly bitten by them that she had to buy insect repellent even before the bbq started. caught up with friends that i havent seen for quite some time. =) and the bbq ended with a spark. i mean, many sparks, because huiyi had a box of sparklers and we were like little kids, getting all excited over the mini fireworks.
made a date on friday for dry swimming again! hahah cui, we are all mahjong addicts! 2007 is the year of sooo many 21st birthdays. i need to save up. either that or sell more stuffs on auctions. or... buy lesser stuffs from auctions.
