did housework, posted mail, and lugged the stupid postpac to the sam machine, only to realise the parcel is too heavy for the dumb machine to generate a weight out. anyway, now ive got about 4 versions of 愛情萬歲, each with a different dj's voice. ive never seen so many people on mantown at the same time before. getting so hyped up about this new song. its even on youtube's #1 top favourites !
yay! the poster resembles the shocking colours concert poster. anyone has bank of china credit card??
i heard it!! sammi's newest song 愛情萬歲!!! i was frantically trying all the hk web radio stations, but still missed the one at 903. thankfully someone in mantown recorded it down, and its great!!!

the people in mantown are sooo efficient. the song is now on repeat mode in my playlist. i think the lyrics are quite meaningful, it looks like it is about mi and on-zai. mi's voice sounds a bit deeper, but still recognisable.

stayed home with the housework and fantasy hotel. was adding avatar and signature in mantown, and i got so fed up with it because it didnt seem to appear in my posts. some fan in mantown took photos of her entire collection. she must be super rich, because she's got the limited edition stuffs, almost all the posters available, hundreds of photos and almost every version of cds, vcds and dvds, not to mention the vinyl discs that isnt playable anymore. one word: WOW.
financial woes again, as school fees were deducted from my account a few days ago. =( and, im so pissed with my grouping for 229.

helped yimyiu with her marketing commercial. after that, we went to bugis junction to shop. we went into kino and was stuck inside for a long long time. i was at the chinese books section when i saw a cute book titled "undo". omg the book's totally cute and hilarious. but yimyiu and tracey didnt think so leh. i couldnt stop laughing at the fact that the lead of the story is a potato who aims to turn into a sweet potato. the fella and his little sister thought jumping off a cliff would turn them into whatever they wanted, so they took the leap. but! they turned into 地瓜麦芽糖. so they jumped again and became 炸番薯饼. one more time! they were now two packets of 地瓜粉. but they couldnt jump anymore! because it was getting dark and they had to go home otherwise their mother would scold them. so they went back home as 地瓜粉.
the story is super lame lah! and its half-filled with comicky pictures. im so easily happy over a lame book. oooh there's another book called "150cm 的人生", and it is totally for me! but the pictures dont look as cute as the undo book. then there's another book called "sana 放生-ing", which is about a girl with dark complexion and all her funny stories, and it is also a comic type. hahahah. i wanted to buy the undo book, but yimyiu said the funny parts are most probably only the ones about the potato fellow wanting to become a sweet potato. =D
hahah then again, maybe i shouldnt buy so many books on impulse, because sooo many of them are still on my shelf untouched. but i still think the "我要变成番薯!" comic fellow tickles me so much.
Saturday, February 24, 2007, 11:06 p.m.visited my grandparents the whole day. i became their food finisher, coz i ate their cny goodies non-stop, and they were glad because they dont eat them often, and the food would spoil if no one eats them. hahaha.
after dinner, gujie and i went to velocity (at novena). woohoo its like a maze. an unfinished maze, that is, because not all shops have moved in at the moment. we walked past ts, which was showing 雀圣3之自摸三百番, and i was so intrigued by it that i felt like buying the three parts to watch. channel 8 was replaying 呖咕呖咕新年财, and sailo was asking if i have the vcd. i suggested buying the mahjong movies to watch, and he readily agreed to split the cost. we are so addicted to mahjong.
wah-zai's so handsome. hurhur. rewatched a few clips of wah-zai and mi on youtube. felt like catching the protégé. oh no, i need to stop myself from the continuous movie and tvb drama chase, because i also intended to rent some tvb shows to watch.

start of recess week! did some personal banking and postage, and bought sammi vs sammi vcd. i wasnt surprised about delaying the purchase, because of all the sammi concerts, im most disappointed with the recording of this concert.
of sooo many days of sammi vs sammi concert (thereafter referred to as svs), the company had to pick day 7 to record as vcd/dvd. ive seen the clips on youtube about svs, and there are a whole lot of interesting stuffs not included in it! svs had the most costume changes, but the least recorded in the vcd. the part where mi sang 唯独你是不可取替 with theresa was the best of all, and yet they chose to remove it from the recording. other concert days with jan lamb and miriam yeung were so much more interesting. maybe because the topics were about on-zai, so... you know... anyway now you should know why i wanted to go for all four days of sammi show mi (thereafter referred to as ssm) concert.
but still, svs concert is quite nice, i especially like mi's rendition of 多得他 and 灰色. =D

yesterday i was too tired that i slept on the sofa. watched a whole lot of tv. felt lazy to do anything. the legendary four aces is 52 episodes long. i feel like renting it because tvbj is only showing episode 22. i think it will only finish when my exams are nearing. then again, i'd better not rent it. $52 gone like that. hoohoo better think twice.

HAPPY CHINESE NEY YEAR!
woke up early and waited for my relatives to come over. sanshu and family came at around 11 plus, while beh-deh and family arrived at 1 plus. we were watching all sorts of tv programmes, when the superstar of the day arrived!
everyone was so excited upon seeing him. we crowded around him while he performed his stunts, and cameras were snapping non-stop. this new year became more interesting due to his presence.
after lunch, we went over to my grandparents' house. the superstar reached just before we did, and yeye, popo and gujie were already elated because of him. who cares about food and tv when we had the superstar for entertainment. haha.
may i present to you, the superstar:
brandon yong! my nephew.
hahaha isnt he adorable?? it was the first time i saw him, because i didnt attend his one-month party. after hearing all the cute stories about him from popo and gujie, i finally saw the superstar. he is heavy! and he isnt even one year old yet! my camera was filled with his photos because sailo kept snapping him from every possible angle. yeye was so cute when he played with brandon. =)

after that, we went over to irene-yeema's house at pasir ris. sailo and i were reminded of the 15 years we spent at our old house, which was just across the road from yeema's house. we, the cousins around the same age group, gathered around for a lengthy chat session about many topics that we hardly talked about. it was great coz i like the cousin bonding, even though i hardly do the talking. auntie monica said i was the quietest of the lot.
a while later, the boys played blackjack with my nieces and nephew, while the girls carried on the girl talk with some aunties joining in. auntie catherine said time really flies, because the seven of us who grew up together are now becoming adults. i recalled back the times we spent playing at each of our homes, and i agreed. time really flies.
then it was mahjong time! auntie karen roped me in, along with yee-jiong and dai-yeema, who is a mahjong expert. i felt super stressed being before her coz i was afraid of throwing her the winning tile. but all thanks to my last peng-hu, i managed to recoup most of my losses. i lost $1.60. haha. and i cannot believe that sailo lost $13 on blackjack!

haha yesterday's entries were rushed coz didnt have time to edit. so sorry for the typos. hehheh. we finished the 229 rough cuts already. =)
had dinner with laozhao and wangying at thai express. was great meeting up with them coz we had fun chatting about so many stuffs.

i figured if i dont blog now, the next time i blog is maybe after chinese new year. because the past and current weeks are busy with a capital B. and i'd probably forget everything by then. got to down some coffee tomorrow. no photos yet coz NO TIME to post them up. tomorrow ba. ;)
visited mediacorp news. saw suzanne jung in the studio!! i like her!! we toured around the back room, editing suites, studios, journalists' rooms, etc. then serene said suzanne jung walked past me when we were looking at sharon with the ENPS. ahhh! haha never mind. we saw lim kay tong at the radio block, saw diya in the canteen, and saw the 小天使 in 摆家乐 when we were leaving. the studio is so cool! we got to see the anchors in action. but the newsroom looks quite stressful. i wanted to take photos with suzanne when she finished her segment but was quite paiseh since she was working and i was in an unfamiliar place.
during astronony lecture i told yvonne about it, and she squealed that she likes suzanne jung too! we were chatting about almost everything instead of listening to the lecture. the quiz had only 10 mcqs, and yet we had to study so much.
because i blogged, i didnt have time to do my accounting tutorial. maybe tomorrow i can try to squeeze out some time if we can finish editing.

we had fun with the avid, because the fun arose from us getting confused and kept finding vincent to solve the problems for us. whenever someone opened our room door, we would automatically reply: "vincent's not here" because 99.99% of the time the person would be looking for their life saviour-- vincent. hahaha.
SD training for spectrum continued from last week. we ended quite early today, which got me into a dilemma. coz qianyu got tickets to just follow law movie premiere, and she saved a seat for me! thanks a lot qianyu! i wanted to go because of the movie and qianyu. but i have a quiz the next day and papa cooked my dinner. but in the end i decided to go for the premiere.
reached there around 845pm, but wenfang already went in. so qianyu and i went up to the cocktail reception area. saw a lot of celebrities but only took photos with felicia and elvin. this is my second wenfang movie premiere i attended, first being shanghai knights. but this time, coz we got the tickets from laozhao's aunt who knows jack neo, we got seats on the 3rd row from the back, and the back rows were all occupied by celebrities! there was an appearance by wenfang, gurmit and jack before the movie started. wenfang sat at the last row, and i could see her quite clearly. but like her usual style, she left before the movie ended so she wouldnt be bombarded by fans.
just follow law is hilarious! i could really get used to seeing wenfang being so chor-lor because her acting was so natural. too many funny points to write, and i dont want to spill the storyline since it will only be out on thursday. it's funny, lame, and quite touching. go watch it!! i'd probably watch it again. haha.
sammi's in vancouver, and her performance photos are up already! she either had a wig on or she really cut her hair. i like the hairstyle, and she looked perked up and energetic! and miraculously, no more double chin! mi can really get skinny within such a short time.

had our last session of interview training with david. everyone did an interview segment, taking turns to be the interviewer and interviewee. i interviewed yunxin about percussion, and she interviewed me about idols. we were desperately running out of topics to talk about. i was introduced as the "idol fanatic" three times. haha actually im not really fanatic lah. depending on situation. but now the whole spectrum team probably thinks i will go crazy when i see a celebrity. -_-"
haha at least now more people will inform me if they have any news about my idols. hahaha thats the plus point. =) the spectrum interviews were hilarious! we were laughing non-stop when david played back the tape.
yay no more staying back late on mondays! there was an article on sammi in the new paper. that piece of news was, strictly speaking, three weeks ago, and the chinese papers and magazines were already done with the news weeks ago. the only new stuff in the article were the interview quotes. so cheaterbug.

bought tvb weeklys and had the urge to buy some clothes. too bad i didnt have enough money coz it was the end of the week. after that i went to visit my grandparents. it's been quite some time since i visited them due to my crazy schedules.

getting lazier to do the accounting tutorials. we went to the airport to send yanting off to adelaide. was happily snapping candid shots of everyone when i realised those cameras i used were not mine. which means the candid shots would probably be erased. =( shisanyi!! we're going to miss you! hope you like your presents. :)
saw michelle chong at the airport. puayleng spotted her but no one approached her so i did. hhaha. channel 8 was showing love au zen at midnight. it's been ages since i last saw flora on FTA tv. dry wood fierce fire is going to show (again) during CNY. haiz why are they showing the shows that i already have??
Wednesday, February 7, 2007, 11:28 p.m.initial plan for the day was: go to school to photocopy accounting questions, and head for grandparents' place, since it was my off day from school.
but the moment i logged into edventure, this jumble of letters and numbers appeared in my course list: "EE8086: Astronomy- Stars, Galaxies and Cosmology." i got a shock of my life, seriously! when i first couldnt get the subject, i sent an appeal to stars. after the end of add-drop period, there wasnt any reply from them at all so i presumed i didnt get the subject. and yet after one whole month they decided to add me in the class.
i dont know whether i should laugh or cry. when i badly wanted the subject, i couldnt get it. but yet when i had already gotten used to having wednesdays off, retarded stars decided to rid the off day. the worse thing is that i didnt go for the first four lectures, since i was officially not registered for it. only today i know im now officially registered, and there wasnt any notification email or anything. how does stupid stars expect me to catch up with the missed lectures just because they took a million years to approve the appeal? and there's a frigging 30% QUIZ next week!!! when i know nuts about the subject.
luckily i havent used any of my S/U options. in conclusion, stars is majorly screwed-up. now i have less than a week to cram the notes for the quiz. =(
feeling quite out of breath nowadays. i dont know why too. somehow i feel that i forget to breathe.

mondays and tuesdays are the busiest days in the week. yesterday was a mad rush, from lectures to viewing boomtown to lecture and back to interview class. my lunch was only a chocolate muffin. today was slightly better, at least i had time for a quick lunch. i practically gobbled down the rice. spectrum was very fun! we had turns being various roles in the studio recording. i tried SD (studio director), and it was so cool! hahah feedback i got was that i sounded quite fierce. hoho. VM (vision mixer) is quite easy once you get familiarised with it.
i havent started on my interviews. the magazines have raised the prices by fifty cents each. =( this week i bought u weekly, which i usually dont, because of the picture on the top right-hand corner. and i didnt expect an article of meiheng inside!! :D quite rubbishy anyway, it was just about her buying coffee from starbucks and getting chauffered around. u-weekly's articles are quite outdated, and they dont have much content.
despite my crazy school schedules, i still managed to stick to the weeknight routine: WAB, tvb news, where is the game, the legendary four aces. listening to mi's songs is therapeutic. ^.^

did housework, rewatched sammi i concert vcd, and switched around watching the asean football championship and project superstar finals. singapore won! i was bathing when they scored the winning goal, and i could hear the WHOLE BLOCK screaming.
i voted for diya just now, since she's my senior. hopefully we can get her on the spectrum interview. i was so in the mood for concerts, that i was comtemplating to purchase tickets for ALL FIVE DAYS of mi's coming concert. nah~ if i have the money i would. reality check says i dont.
quite a happy girl today and yesterday, especially yesterday night. =D anyway i cant wait for CNY to come. CNY food, angpows, holidays, cui's party, mahjong, and the tv programmes! two of sammi's movies are going to show on the eve and first day. yays! even though i have the vcds, but still happy about it.
had a pleasant weekend, so it's back to the long weekdays in school and huge amounts of work.

gujie came over in the afternoon. after which i met up with qianyu and yanting for dinner before heading to yinglan's hall production. really miss the times when we were all super lame. i think i became less lame since i started university.
hall 2's production was great! it was hilarious yet thoughtful, and the theme about family love was good. =) yinglan is an excellent producer! we were sitting behind her parents, and haha we nearly mistook yinglan's mother as her!! they look exactly the same! :D
was doing the usual surfing when i realised mi was online too!! hurriedly print screen-ed the evidence. hahah. yay! first time i was online the same time as her. every other times i just seemed to miss her appearance by an hour or so. hahah. so exciting.
