[music: 寂寞年華- 鄭秀文; album: wonder woman (cantonese)]

earned a little from auctions.
rewatched wuyen.
happy new year.

bought a number of cds from auctions. very soon i can complete my sammi cds collection.

another 2006 roundup! the HK IFPI record sales ratings: .....

sammi ultimate collection ranked #4!!!!! with hacken, janice and justin in top 3 respectively. hahaha yay! initially thought no one would buy it coz it is a compilation album. but low and behold! soooo many people in hk still love ah mi. and i bought that expensive album too. so in a way i contributed to the record sales. hahaha.

hmmm nothing much to do these days. waiting for cui to come back from taiwan to open table (ie. 开台) again before school starts. i finally found my adidas sports shoes in the storeroom! ive been finding it for a year.

[music: 激安百貨- 鄭秀文; album: wonder woman (cantonese)]

results were out! i think i did better this semester. forensic science got A+!! my very first A+!! but i think a lot of people got it too because the paper was super easy.

surfed auctions coz i wanted to buy some cds. the list of top 10 tvb ratings was out long ago, but there were different versions of it. but anyway, the official version is that #1 is la femme desperado, and #4 is love guaranteed!!! yay! both meiheng's series are in top 4!!! all the rest that were said to have strong casts were even lower than LG! who says the low budget shows are horrible? meiheng rocks! so do ko ling and hazel! =D

dont know why mnfc website is still down after so long. i have nowhere else to surf. i end up doing a lot of housechores.

[music: 相信自己- 鄭秀文; album: wonder woman (cantonese)]

went to cineleisure with yimyiu, huiyi and kiaying. the foodcourt food is bleah. sooo many people wanted to watch movies today. we wanted to watch charlotte's web, but the earliest slot didnt have seats together, so we didnt watch it.

walked around taka, went to sanrio coz kiaying wanted to purchase gifts for her friend. they have some cute stuffs there but they cost a bomb. we sat down at coffeebean, and talked about a lot of stuffs, from michelle's birthday party to school starting in less than 2 weeks, and from tvb dramas to our future careers, etc. was quite worried for cui who is in taiwan because there was an earthquake there yesterday. luckily she updated her blog and said she wasnt affected. phew!

shopped around wisma. i bought a top at isetan. haiz i always feel the pinch when i pay the money. yimyiu taught me to use the usb cable for my phone. haiz im so lousified. before i knew about it, i used the gprs to download my ringtones. the bill came, and my december bill amounted to $60+!! oh my. the pinch again. the dumb gprs took up half the amount. the dumb me. yimyiu gave me the website for making my own theme. shall explore it.

hope everything's well. am worried for my family. going to pay a visit to the temple when the weather gets better.

[music: 一直到春天過去- 鄭秀文; album: 去愛吧 (mandarin)]

did housechores in the afternoon. surfed youtube at night. nothing much. channel u will be showing shine on you. and ive just rented the show and finished it a week ago. >_< wasted $30. hmmm at least i watched the cantonese version.

Monday, December 25, 2006, 11:08 p.m.

woke up at 8am.
because the complimentary buffet breakfast lasted from 7-10am.
breakfast was delicious and filling.
i actually like cornflakes the most.
they were showing simpsons dvds in the ballroom.
continued with mahjong.
mahjong was about the only entertainment besides tv and myfm.
packing up was fast.
left 2218 winning a total of $1.50 from yesterday and today.
at least i didnt lose.
i got a conrad 10th anniversary teddy bear.
tired.
hurt left arm from tripping over hair dryer wire.
every time i write like this, ie. in lines instead of paragraphs, it means im not happy.
keeping everything to myself isnt easy.
but ive been doing that for almost a decade.
oh wells.
一直到春天過去,才承認我真的哭了
merry christmas.

had lunch at suntec.
in search of animal replacements.
i finally came up with the idea of using erasers.
first time seeing a solvil titus store, which sells only solvil titus watches.
checked in the luxurious conrad.
bought a lot of food.
saw chongqing and a cute guy (newcomer) at soup spoon.
saw quan yifeng and her family at marina square.
her daughter, eleanor, is very adorable.
took a photo-like video of peter yu, yifeng, eleanor and i.
feasting in the room.
followed by a messed-up but hilarious present exchange.
i received a necklace. =)
followed by mahjong.
the erasers made perfect substitutions for the missing animals in the medium-sized mahjong set.
nice nightview from 22nd floor.
countdown ended with "huat-ah!"
watched three movies on tv.
slept at 3am.
which wasnt late for me.

posted mail and visited my grandparents. bought foodstuffs for them, and guess what? i bought files of justice 1! i'd never thought i would buy it, at most rent it but never about buying it. yeah so i bought it at $16 which was so cheap. a lady in front of my queue bought FOJ1-5 all at one shot, amounting to $170+. hurhur. so now i have FOJ1, 4 and 5.

i love visiting my grandparents. =) gujie saw i bought FOJ, and we had this conversation:

gujie: "wah first time you bought vcds that dont have your idols in it."
me: "hahaha! (points to a person on the box) do you know who this is?"
gujie: "(scrutinised the picture for a long long time) who is this?"
me: "you dont recognise her?"
gujie: "yah, who is it??"
me: "sammi cheng."
gujie: "what?!?! she is sammi cheng?? omg dont look like her leh! (looked at the picture behind the box) omg she looked totally different la! (still in disbelief)"

if not for the fact that ive watched the best of best before, and ive been watching numerous capital period mtvs, i wouldnt have recognised ah mi too. anyway, FOJ is, afterall, the very first FOJ part, so the whole show mostly revolved around cases and more cases, hardly having any time for the relationships. it focused more on bobby and amy chan. like i said, even though she looked different, ah mi still sounded the same, and her actions were still the typical ah mi. guess they wont change much. afterall, she was only 20 when she filmed the best of best and FOJ. at my age and she had already done so much, im already thinking of working doubly hard in the future to at least match up to her achievements.

i finished the show!! dammit i mentioned about not chionging shows. but FOJ only has 8 discs, so it seems retarded to not finish it so soon. hahah.

Friday, December 22, 2006

collected $60 from auctions. =) received xmas present from papa. a box of dvd+r! i made minced meatballs with papa's help for dinner.

Thursday, December 21, 2006, 11:13 p.m.

continued with SOY episodes 19-30. ahaha until the last few episodes i got quite bored of it that i was sweeping the floor while i played the last episode. coz the ending few episodes are super draggy. miss wong was so indecisive that i started forwarding her parts.

then it was off to early christmas dinner with yimyiu, yiling, kiaying, michelle and huiyi. as usual we didnt know where to go for dinner, so we walked around clarke quay, and settled with hooters because we were starving. food was quite expensive, and not really good. but clarke quay's atmosphere was great though. =) we exchanged our gifts. kiaying picked michelle, michelle picked yimyiu, yimyiu picked me, i picked huiyi, huiyu picked yiling, yiling picked cuilin, and cuilin, who is in genting, got kiaying's present. the cutely-spastic looking fish that i bought was so yimyiu. she even thought it was a pig! i received a necklace, 2 pairs of earrings and a bundle of chocolates from huiyi. =) thanks! so now only cui will know the first and second parts of boon's gift trilogy, because she refused to tell us what they were.

sailo came back from camp. hmm its not good to chiong shows, because now i dont have the mood to rewatch it anymore. =(

now i love 一直到春天過去. the melody is so nice. =)

Wednesday, December 20, 2006

the rain finally stopped. it was a bright sunny morning and afternoon. i decided to laze around at home before heading to northpoint to get the remaining present for gift exchange. after that i rented shine on you. and... it started pouring before i could reach the mrt station.

and so the whole night was spent chiong-ing shine on you. the reason i rented it was because i wanted to see how much yu chiu resembled ah mi. only from certain angles, yu looked a bit like ah mi. but overall the show was quite nice, and funny at times. i watched from episodes 1 to 18 at one shot till about 3am, when papa came in to scold me. hurhur.

maybe because ive finished with ah mi movies, and only left a place of one's own for meiheng shows, that im now lacking dramas to chase. i dont expect much from tvb, except to hurry up broadcast tai gik in hk, and not warehouse the show. if they are going to warehouse it, then tvb will lose one huge customer, ie. me, because there will be nothing more for me to rent/buy. too bad for them.

Tuesday, December 19, 2006, 11:34 p.m.

the rain hasnt stopped since yesterday afternoon. it is still raining now. >.< went to marina square to cut hair with kiaying and yimyiu. then the hairstylist suggested i should have my hair coloured. i actually intended to colour it myself, but i wasnt sure about doing it myself, so i agreed to her suggestion and bombed a hundred odd bucks. hmm okay la i cant regret it now, but i was freaking scared before she started with the dyeing. was the first time that i got jittery and on the verge of tears in a salon. i shouldnt have succumbed to her persuasion, because the colour isnt very obvious. aaah forget it, im not dyeing my hair anymore. and now i find my hair too thin. craps. hopefully my hair grows back very quickly.

after getting too frightened, i went to the used cd shop beside the salon before meeting kiaying and yimyiu, who didnt look like they cut their hair at all. to ease myself from being so terrified, i bought 5 sammi cds. its a miracle i can find cds that are so old. actually i only wanted four, but there was a "buy 4 get 1 free" offer, so i picked one concert vcd.

we watched the holiday. i went in without knowing the storyline, and it was a nice movie. for the 2.5 hours of watching, it was only at the end when the credits rolled that i realised the other female lead was kate winslet! no wonder i was still thinking that the lady looked damn familiar but couldnt recall who she was. the 2 little girls are adorable, and arthur is super cute!

haiz i regret the dye. if i didnt colour it, i would have time to get my christmas exchange presents, and i wouldnt have to be so traumatised over the whole colouring issue. and i wouldnt have to go out tomorrow to purposely get the gifts, when i could have stayed home in such a horrendous weather. IF. haiz too bad. too late. hope it is a blessing in disguise. =P

Monday, December 18, 2006

had lunch with cuilin, kiaying and yimyiu at ajisen, and we had 50% off thanks to yimyiu being the prestigeous member of the place. and after that it was off to kiaying's house for the long-awaited activity.

MAHJONG! hahaha so excited to start playing. initially kiaying was winning all the money. then after cui changed seats with yimyiu, cui started winning back even more! yimyiu was the ultimate, before half-time, she was throwing the tiles for everyone to game for every single round. the poor girl was losing as big as the rain outside. in the end she used up all her chips, and had to write down how much she owed each of us. omg that was the super ultimate, ive never seen someone lose money until like that. and it was only the 东南西北 rounds!

we played for five whole hours, started at 2pm and ended at 7pm, by then kiaying's parents and brother had already reached home and yet we were still making so much noise in the living room. wah, first time played mahjong for so long hours that i got a headache. YES93.3 was playing the classic hits, and we concluded that we belonged to the classic hits era. and we heard huahua's songs a million times that it was getting annoying.

so at the end of the day i won $1.20, and cuilin won $12.80! kiaying lost $1, and yimyiu lost $13!! haiz mahjong is really mostly about luck. we cabbed down to ikea, with cui treating us for the cab ride since she won money. yimyiu's money, to be exact. hahaha. dinner at ikea was yummilicious. we shopped for the christmas exchange gifts. we all went home with ikea plastic bags. =)

it was a fun day, especially mahjong! came home and saw a parcel on my table! hahah yay the last parcel finally arrived. quickly opened it to watch the vcd. the movie is called the best of best, starring jacky cheung and sammi. it was mi's first movie in 1992. thats more than a decade ago and she looked totally different from the recent years. haha but she still sounded the same. the movie's quite alright, and mi had quite a lot of scenes in it. since it was a cop/gangster movie, it had lots of fighting scenes. some were quite gruesome. anyway it didnt have a happy ending.

yay i completed my sammi movies collection.

Sunday, December 17, 2006, 11:28 p.m.

yesterday i had a nice afternoon nap. i havent had naps for a long time. i was keying in all my contacts into my phone, and realised the number 4 button was faulty. popo cut her fingers by accident when she was opening the darn can of luncheon meat. i was freaking worried about her that i couldnt sleep.

so this morning, the first thing i did was to call her. she said her fingers arent bleeding, and it isnt painful anymore. only then i was slightly at ease. went to hello shop to change my phone. luckily they allowed me to change it. but the manager sounded as if it was my fault that the phone wasnt working well. hello, the phone was only two days old. do i look like i have the power to fault only one number out of so many keys?

earned $40 from auctions today. $_$. haha. sailo's going for camp tomorrow, and yet he hasnt finished his work, so he's rushing like mad now. because the whole day he was rewatching feel 100% with me, slacking around, shopping for camp stuffs, watched chelsea vs everton, pestering me to lend him my ipod, coming into my room and walking out of it with one of my kupped balmain pens, etc. in short, he was doing everything but his work.

i dont know how to make my own handphone theme. im a total idiot at new techonology. need time to figure things out and get used to it. oooh i cant wait for tomorrow's dry swimming. =)

Friday, December 15, 2006, 11:00 p.m.

i got my new phone! the hello shop was super packed that i had to wait for 1.5 hours before it was my turn. a huge crowd was at popular because hady mirza was there for autograph session. haha i only saw his back view. anyway i got myself nokia 6280, because it was free! i know a lot of people use the same model, but who cares, especially when the model number is my birthdate minus the zero. haha. still charging it so i havent explored it yet. this holiday ive got a number of new stuffs. haiz its another spending time of the year.

ive finally found 愛情動感 La La La, which is the mandarin version of 愛情傻戀 La La La. hahah i think very few people know that this song existed, and probably hardly anyone knows that coco lee had a part in it. i like the songs from the capital times. on-zai and ah mi appearing in the same mtvs is now almost impossible.

im not moving forward huh. lalala~

Thursday, December 14, 2006, 11:17 p.m.

went kbox with yimyiu and kiaying. sang all the mi songs. i saw 愛情傻戀 La La La mandarin version mtv. it was so cute. but i prefer the cantonese version song and mtv.

after that we met up with huiyi. we went paragon to collect huiyi's sister's tickets. and we saw ann kok having afternoon tea with her friend. with her hair so short, and dressed in grey t-shirt, i almost couldnt recognise her! had to pretend to walk past her another time to confirm, because i didnt spot her the first time. yimyiu said ann's hairstyle is, ahem, not nice.

after paragon, we watched happy feet. it was nice, but the penguins looked hideous, with the exception of the baby penguins. and i mean the penguins' faces. sharp beaks with small orange eyes. was glad mumble didnt look like his parents or anyone else in his clan, because he looked like a cute giant furball with pitty-patty feet. the plot was nice, and it certainly would be better if it didnt revolve around birds, never mind the fact that penguins are adorable and cannot fly. i almost freaked out.

just when i thought ive done the best i could, you picked on the thing that i'd never thought you would pick on. 委屈我了,谢谢。

Wednesday, December 13, 2006, 11:49 p.m.

my vcds have arrived this morning! yay watching 2 movies in a row is such an enjoyment. i prefer feel 100% over feel 100%...once more. maybe because i watched feel 100% first, thats why when the second installment changed the character names, i felt a bit confused. hahah i like the school trio pairing better, that is jerry-cherrie-hui lok. i recalled the underpass scene and bobby in washing machine scene while watching. the scene with everyone checking nose hair was super hilarious! ive never watched once more before, and i like feel 100% better partly because there were more scenes of cherrie in it, while once more had too many characters, making ah yen look like a supporting cast. hahah andy hui's special appearance in once more was quite redundant.

although the plots of both movies were quite cliche, i still like them. hk movies are gradually dying down, and i miss the peak period when hk movies were purely made in hk, all the cast were from hk, and everyone in it spoke cantonese without needing the dubbings. those are the true blue hk movies.

yay one more vcd is on the way, and after that, my collection of sammi movies will be complete! hahha if i decide not to buy infernal affairs 1 and 3, that is. =D

Monday, December 11, 2006, 11:46 p.m.

hahaha the above is in cantonese, if you are wondering. not really an important issue, if you are thinking of requesting a translation. just an attempt to type in cantonese. aaah i think i can already migrate to hk. too bad no money. hahaha.

Sunday, December 10, 2006, 11:18 p.m.

today was such an eye-opener. so many things happened and i have so much to say. complaints and all.

went to airport with eileen. i love long-distance bus rides. if i have a seat, that is. anyway i wasnt in a chase-artistes mood; i was wearing heels! but since it was eileen's break-free-from-exams time, i didnt mind the chase. and the lucky girl's flying to taiwan tomorrow. =)

both artistes came on separate flights, but they walked very quickly. hmm like that lor. haha i didnt expect much too, since i already knew that they would zoom past, through many years of idol chasing. i was happy, not because of the artistes though, but because i talked to carrie-ma. she's really friendly and nice.

okay here comes the so-much-to-say part. star awards 2006. every year since 1994 ive been watching every star awards without fail, and taping all of them except 1994-1996 (i accidentally erased 96's tape).

the blue carpet was a mini-disaster:

1) mark lee didnt know his stuff at all, calling the artistes by the wrong names. he called xiao-bo as XIAO BAI. omg it was a total disgrace. it means cecilia cheung is zhang baizhi, wilbur pan is pan weibai, chen bolin is chen bailin, etc. i know that word has different ways of pronouncing, but he ought to find out the proper way to pronounce others' names beforehand.

2) the hosts stopped the artistes at their whim and fancy, causing a slight disturbance to the arranged sequence. those not supposed to be interviewed were pulled for some 答非所问 questions, while those supposed to be interviewed were skipped because of time constraints.

3) i do not pity the fans who appeared at the carpet. they ought to know that their idols would appear for less then a minute, zooming past them, and would be blocked by other fans and their placards. but kudos to ffc, every single year they managed to get the best spot, and they were clever enough to cover their faces with the cards. the other fans practically ran after their idols after they left the carpet area. i saw them running on tv!

now to the main event, which was a disaster:

1) having the awards ceremony at the power station is indeed refreshing, but personally i still prefer the good'ol mediacorp hall. the place was so tiny that the artistes had to take turns to sit on the allocated five seats for the awards, which were between wenfang and zoe tay. they had to keep changing seats, which i find very disturbing, because the camera couldnt find the artistes to shoot.

2) due to the limited space, the public and even other artistes werent given a chance to enter. having the fans' cheers would make the event livelier, even though maybe will have more noise. but we've all survived the noise for so many years. it feels a bit uneasy with purely the industry people. and the artistes owe it to the fans' money for their awards. so it would be more sincere for them to thank fans face-to-face. i didnt learn about face-to-face communication being better than telecommunication for nothing.

3) three words to the production crew: tsk tsk tsk. from time management to camera shots and even to sound control: tsk tsk tsk. the camera kept filming unnecessary images of people leaving the stage. and at one point of time, when qi yuwu was giving his speech, some crew member's voice could be heard crisp and clear, thus disrupting his speech. but credits have to be given to the graphics people, because this year the graphics and nomination clips were nicely done.

oh we are now on the topic of speeches, which leads in to time management. at the start, the artistes were told to cut their speeches short so that they wouldnt be overrunning. then reaching the end they were underrunning, so they talked more, and yet they complained about last minute overrun. this highly affected the speeches and the flow of the event. whats wrong with the crew this year? every year they would overrun and they would sacrifice the news, but this time they'd rather sacrifice bryan wong's speech at the end, rolling the credits with his speech not completed.

4) the host. i dont mean patty hou. she was good. she handled the floor well, and had enough chemistry with guo liang. i meant guo liang. he snapped in the middle of others' speeches and words, it was so utterly rude! at least he could have politely said "because of time constraints please end your speech soon" or something along that line, NOT "...i wanna thank..." (cuts in) "okay thank you please go backstage to thank meijiao, thanks to the presenter and we shall continue with..." he was plain rude. partly it was the producer's timing estimation error, but he shouldnt have cut the words of the artistes like that. chen liping was receiving the most honourable award of the night, and yet she was cut by guo liang in her last popularity speech. if some skunk did that to you how would you feel?

5) the presenters. some were good, especially francis ng. short and sweet and humorous. nick cheung and jessica were good too, except it was too draggy, at the request of the problematic floor manager. the whole event seemed to take eternity to end, sometimes the presenters took too much time talking crap, which led to time wastage. i seriously dont understand. past years we had guests singing and dancing, and we still did fine even with the overrun, and sometimes without overrrun at all. but this year, even without songs, with lesser awards (so many given out in the afternoon) and with the same 3-hour length , we are still faced with overrun and everything was forced to end abruptly.

6) the artistes themselves. do note that the speeches are to thank people, not make them sleep. worst speech of all was tay ping hui's. nobody wanted to hear his personal story. to think he still blabbered on and on about it, and when i thought he was ending it, he continued by thanking a whole bunch of people. seriously, say the essence of the speech, and you wont be butchered by the merciless guo liang. the many pauses were also a time killer. pauses from qi yuwu and huang yiliang caused bryan wong to have a slaughtered speech.

the mood of the artistes was quite heavy this year. many were emotional, either because of struggling so many years, or because of receiving awards for the first time. mingshun's speech was so heavy; he didnt say much nor did he explain; to locals we know the story, but the mood was immediately lightened when nick asked what happened to him. the mood problem was partly because of the lack of live fan support.

after the bad stuffs there were some good ones though. li nanxing was sporting to help nick cheung with the mandarin, and his speech imitating vincent ng was hilarious. the clothes were nice, everyone looked chic and elegant.

the post-event celebration was a total mess:

1) the three hosts had no power over their content at all. especially mark lee: he probably ranked second place in rudeness that night. when interviewing others, he held the mic for them, and when he wanted to cut in while the people were still talking, he simply moved the mic to his mouth without considering the other party at all. whats the difference between mark and guo liang? no difference! they were both cutting people's words. and during interviews, even when he wasnt talking, he stil held the mic to himself, while the poor person had to talk without a mic. in this case, jeff wang was more professional. he often handed the mic to interviewees, who would always be more important than interviewers. jeff should be nominated for best host instead of mark.

mark lee disgraced himself and the whole singapore in front of nakata as well. he asked nakata's view about the chelsea and arsenal match, and nakata was forced to give an opinion (he said chelsea 2 arsenal 1), and to which mark replied, "im arsenal fan, you die." it might not sound serious, but to someone not belonging to our culture, it might sound crude or even vulgar. not everyone knows the singapore culture, and it is quite improper to tell someone to "die" in his face when he is a superstar and you are not. furthermore, mark and nakata are not even close to start with.

2) like what gurmit said, three words to the production crew: k-n-s. shots had no link to the words of the hosts. hosts said nakata, they shot dylan guo. hosts said pass to next host, shots went for commercial. what the toot. like i said, they should stay in mediacorp for the next years. camera and production control will seriously be much better in a familiar place.

3) the "superstars". project superstars, campus superstars, superstars judges, etc. this is STAR AWARDS for goodness' sake, not a dumb superstar party. all the songs were recorded, and they didnt even put in effort to memorise the lyrics, and they cant even lip-sync properly. how are we to rely on such "superstars" to stand in the music industry, if they wont even put in effort to lip-sync? no wonder there are so little good singers in singapore. only the handful made real effort to sing live, or memorise the lyrics for a lip-sync performance. anyway, half the party was about them. them, them, and all about them. the real tv stars only had 1-2 sentences to make each. when we said "post star awards celebration", we meant to see the artistes in star awards enjoying and mingling among themselves. NOT irrelevant superstars making a fool out of themselves.

last but not least, every year there's bound to be someone being heavily slammed. in past years, michelle saram was one of those worst hit by local viewers. then it was joanne peh. this year was no exception. i believe weilian will get slammed. i personally didnt like weilian going home with 2 awards that he didnt deserve, but i cant do anything about it; i dont have so much money to throw away. i was shocked xiuzhen didnt get anything. hahah maybe it was my fault she went home empty handed, coz i didnt call for her. wenfang's hairstyle reminded me of her hairstyle when she went to taiwan for i live alone promotion in 1996. it was almost the same, and it was quite nice.

in conclusion, i figured that the biggest mistake was to have star awards at st. james power station. if held at mediacorp, the technical errors could be avoided since they were familiar with the surroundings, and overrunning can be accepted because there would be time to edit news information which would be a few studios away if it was in mediacorp. anyway, a lesson can be learnt from this experience. hopefully the crew will be familiarised with the new station when it moves to bukit batok next year.

i might be slammed, but as a viewer i have the right to give comments. and as a loyal fan of mediacorp for 11 years and running, i certainly have the right to do so. and because this is my blog, all the more i have the right to talk about it.

went to ikea at tampines with gujie. was glad i have a direct bus there, despite staying so far away. well, after touring the building, my thoughts about it can be summed up in a few words:

undeniably it was huge, but everything inside was the same as the queenstown outlet. nothing new about the furniture and items. i wanted to purchase something from there, but there wasnt anything i fancied that was necessary to buy. before we left, i wanted to get one of the spastic snakes, which i found to be quite cute, but gujie thought it looked hideous. in the end we left there empty handed, and headed to my grandparents' place for yummy dinner.

speaking of snakes, ikea is about the largest fake snake den i've seen. right from the entrance, every ten steps i took, i saw a snake. either in a child's arms, lying on the furniture, on the floor, or in a child's mouth. i wonder what happens to the poor snake after the child has salivated on it and the parent decided not to buy it. i pity the next buyer. before the check-out counters were about ten cages full of snakes. who knows who has touched them before. i urge ikea to wrap the snakes in plastic bags for hygiene's sake. all thousands of them.

was clearing stuffs again yesterday. im getting sick of looking at magazines. urgh.

finally completed subject registration. if everything goes well, i will have a wonderful 4-day week! this time, registration was so much easier, but i still do not like it because its so stressing. the worst has yet to come. add-drop period is another headache.

i want to find a life of his own's vcds. hopefully the rental store still has such an old series. killing me tenderly vcd has arrived! so i took the day off from the silly packing to watch the show. i love the part where mi's character won money from her "mothers", and the part she said her famous "好邪呀" in the sammi style, and also the part she called leon lai 傻佬. she said, "傻佬, you are the 傻佬!" hahaha super cute. a very funny movie. =D

one arrived, three more to come! =)

yesterday and today, i cleared my stuffs and did housework.

was packing my photo albums.

was transferring my songs from the cds to itunes. i think 2GB is not enough. how?? almost 1GB is taken up by mi's songs. =P

sailo came home with his new laptop and two bags full of free gifts. was watching ITA episode 17 during dinner, and spotted that the proposing scene was heavily cut. in place of the extra time were the scenes not shown on tv in hk. luckily i got the online version so i knew which scenes were gone.

dear friends, i have 2 extra copies of the tvb calendar 2007. please send me an sms if you are interested (which means i only open the offer to people who i know). first come first served. each calendar costs $13. if nobody is interested then im going to put them up on auctions. =)

went to the sitex fair with yimyiu. it was of a much smaller scale compared to the comex fair in september. i bought my ipod nano! after which we went to airport for late lunch at popeyes, and went to the viewing gallery. we:
1) watched planes, but to yimyiu's disappointment, there werent any takeoffs or landings;
2) opened my ipod nano, and were trying to figure out how the power adaptor works;
3) watched in amazement how a little boy could be so contented with chasing two small bouncing balls around the entire gallery;
4) saw the christmas event inside the transit, and im glad i didnt take up the job.

watched a bit of the table tennis semi-finals between singapore and north korea. li jiawei lost to the clucking chicken (sailo and i called her that because she made a noise like a chicken's cluck every time she won the set). but the singapore team still made it to the finals.

im such a mp3 player idiot, that i was bombarding jean with so many questions. thanks jean for the help!

ta-dah! my new blog design. =) if you are wondering why there are two sammi photos, its simply because i want the yellow picture, but the resolution is not good; the blue picture is sharp but it looks dull without yellow. so there you have it. the picture sort of signifies who have been dropped out of my idol list.

wednesday i ridded my kitchen of expired stuff. yesterday i cleared more magazines. it seems that i will be spending the holidays cleaning up my house.

today i bought another 3 mi cds, posted mail, and bought my desired titus watch! hmmm im spending so much money. need to find a job after subject registration.
