stayed home in the morning.
the weather nowadays deters me from going out, even for just a while.
but i still went for asra's farewell dinner!
xun was right.
we felt as if we totally did not leave the company at all.
everything and everyone was still the same, and we were always fully updated of the statuses of the company and its people, so much so that i could still imagine myself at my desk playing facebook.
it was so much fun gossipping, talking, bitching, and discussing about everything, even about shampoos and conditioners.

went to the temple, then went to pay the deposit for the LEDs with subrina and germaine.
then went bugis for lunch and had another round of storytelling from germaine, which was fun to listen to, and she was very willing to tell.
then met yy to go comex fair.
first time i saw citylink's entrance closed at 530pm!
we were so amused by that.
yy had her eyes laid on canon ixus 80 and nikon 600, but after looking at both cameras, she decided on canon.
i initially wanted to get a camera too, but the day before i was so tempted to get a macbook.
then i thought it through and figured i wouldnt be needing a laptop in future when i start work next year.
(unless i go overseas to work, then it can wait.)
so i decided to get a camera, and bought the same design but different colour camera as yy.
but i refused to touch my camera on the same day, because my nails were terribly long and i couldnt hit the buttons with my nails.
so there goes 399 dollars.
by the way, the chloe tamaris aviator sunglasses cost SGD500.
heartbreak. no money to buy.
and LCPC is postponed to 16 october.

idled at the airport for a while after school before meeting for dinner.
went to tampines to jalan and i was still very indecisive about buying my bag.
met up with bingnan, sherin and subrina at 85 for dinner.
discussed the tee design that we decided upon yesterday, which was the one i designed.
yet again i fiddled with subrina's laptop while using her msn.
hahaha.
85 has wireless internet! haha first time i know that a hawker centre has wireless internet.
am in the library now, waiting for my tcm class to start.
thus taking this precious free time to blog about some things that happened.
otherwise i'd forget them.
oops.
i overshot the 20 mins that i had.
time to go for lecture.
will update the blanks when i get home.
apparently i got home but did not update.
there was this rumour about Mi and the scriptwriter of ER, and the reporters went to interview on-zai about it. he said some stuffs which resulted in massive attacks and rebuttals among mifans.
honestly, i felt that on-zai shouldnt say too much.
but when i saw how mion fans responded to anti-on fans, i realised i didnt like on-zai enough to support his standpoint.
i figured it was the 爱屋及乌 effect.
nevertheless, i still like his songs and will continue to, but Mi is still number one. hahaha.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY QIANYU!
went to collect my magazines.
i shall not accumulate them anymore, because i cant stand lugging 7 magazines around the whole day.
met germaine, subrina and sherin to settle the tees.
didnt actually settle it on the spot, but we more or less knew what to do.
since it was too early, we window-shopped around amk hub.
and heard many stories of germaine's past.
many of which we laughed damn hard at because it was so hilarious.
then met with bingnan and meiying and went for dinner at i-cant-remember-the-name jap restaurant.
we seriously talked a lot of nonsense in the entire night.
which was so fun.
then we had a merry-go-round session at the bus interchange for almost an hour, deciding the tee designs.
the merry-go-round came to no specific conclusions, but it was so funny.
hahahahahaha.

went sim lim tower with sherin, germaine and meiying to enquire about the LEDs.
then went to bingnan's house to do the photo album.
but everyone had mind blocks so we didnt finish the album.
to be exact we didnt exactly started much.
we were quite sian after a few hours so we went to explore bingnan's room and his mi collection.
and imitated him on msn while talking to subrina.
after which we went for dinner at 85.
had quite productive discussions but super unproductive with regards to the album.
and a whole lot of crazy laughter and madness.
hahaha.

i think i forgot to mention, that yeye and popo are now staying at my house.
so yeye's bed is in the living room, and popo sleeps on mine.
i sleep on a mattress.
the new maid, whose job is to take care of yeye, also came and with her doing all the housework now, i suddenly feel so lazy.
three weeks ago, i was still doing the laundry and vacuuming the floor like mad.
but now all these seemed so far away.
ah yes, three weeks ago, i was still having my holidays.
school certainly makes one have fading memories.
and so every day my grandparents would watch their favourite 意难忘 and would also watch 19岁的清纯.
i watched the latter with them, and i quite like the main guy in the show.
haha he's quite cute.
but anyway.
im waking up at 5am every morning.
but im still sleeping at 1am every night.
imagine my workload in all areas.

it seems like nobody in the house watches other shows except the olympics.
omg i need some normal tv shows in my life.
therefore, i desperately took out my 《孤男寡女》to watch.
life's so much better with hk movies and dramas.

cleaned up the entire house.
虽说是国庆日，可是自己却一点国庆的心情都没有。
忽然，想起了11年前的国庆日。
就像堆木块一样，开始时很稳定，也非常谨慎地堆。
可是当木块堆到一定的数目时，尽管再怎么防止，它还是会塌下来。
这是自然反应。
正处于硬撑和倒塌的边缘。
也许，应该把一些木块拿下，减轻负担，好让有继续站立的机会。
但是，偏偏的，不是每一块木块都那么容易拿得下。
历经一番深思熟虑，才能决定拿走哪块木块，不然结果还是会倒塌。

today germaine accompanied me to park mall to collect the tickets.
YAY!!!!
i didnt feel very confirmed even after printing out the confirmation letter, and it was only until i had the stack of tickets in my hands that i could feel some form of affirmation.

Show Mi Again!
i wanted to take a photo of the stack of tickets but not now. maybe tomorrow.
after lunch i went back to library to print readings, use computer, and did some of my readings.
radio was at 530pm and i kind of missed the feeling of going for spectrum.
the BP room, the studio, the floor, the chatroom, the people...
but now that no one from my batch is in spectrum, i didnt want to assume an important role.
then again, there isnt anyone from my batch in radio fusion too.
but there's yinglan! =)
it felt weird during the radio introductory tutorial (which by the way felt like it lasted for 10 hours) with so many people NOT FROM CS.
damn damn weird.
i just feel very very weird that practicum is opened to everyone.
but anyway its my final year so i shall give and take.
after that went causeway point to watch money no enough 2 with bingnan, germaine and meiying.
was quite nice. definitely nicer than ah long.
the mother's storyline was very sad.
lai ming acted very well. she wasnt given much opportunity in ah long.
but i totally didnt like the recurring government-slamming.
other than henry thia's parking issue which is very funny, the rest of the "jokes" are not funny at all, especially the ERP thingy.
since his first movie, jack neo has been adding in complaints about the government, and also stereotyping singaporeans by their mostly negative attitudes towards a certain social issue.
it might be his individual style, but honestly the jokes are not much effective on me this time round.
i found myself not laughing at them when the ah bengs sitting behind me were laughing so hard.
for this movie, the government "slamming" didnt work, and i found it quite offensive when he kept using this phrase: “新加坡人就是这样...”
不是每一个新加坡人都是你电影中的那样。
other than the government issues and stereotypes, the storyline flows quite well, and i have to agree that the message behind the movie was well received by the viewers.

first day of school and im so not used to it.
its surprising how 8 months could make me not used to school (dec 2007 to july 2008).
then again, with a million changes done to the school since nov 2007, i found it hard to identify with the school.
its like, half a year in the working industry and i suddenly dont feel any belonging to the school.
or maybe its just the adjusting period. maybe it'll get better when FYP kicks in.
everyone at SC was super excited about Show Mi Again.
think september will be very busy and very high.

woke up super early even though i had no school.
every morning for the past 2 weeks, it was like stock watching and monitoring.
so monday was like a weekend and i think i just bummed around in the late afternoon.
at night it was the usual conferencing between mifans (it became a routine ever since the chalet).
then when most of them left, leaving only germaine and i online, we discussed about her helping me with the booking.
germaine then went to check when i explained to her, and she said, "is it the red box?"
WHAT RED BOX? i had this sudden enlightenment.
in the 2 weeks that i had made the genting website my homepage, i didnt see any red box in the entertainment main page, as well as the ticketing page.
so i quickly went to the ticketing page, and two small but important words lay there in the drop-down box:
SAMMI CHENG.
i panicked big time.
after numerous calls to genting (malaysia calls) and varied speculations about the ticket release date, and especially after i called them just in the morning twice to ask about the release date and the stupid operators replied that they knew nothing, the system started at 12am sharp.
the sudden enlightenment came at about 1215am.
so i panicked and added 10 tickets to my cart, and at the same time calling sherin to confirm the seats. i tried my luck at another 10 tickets but they lumped the 20 seats together! so i had to release all 20 tickets and then choose only 10.
then i almost had a problem with the payment.
initially the stupid genting people insisted that only credit cards are accepted, not debit cards. and i was still fretting over no credit cards to use.
so in that moment of frenzy i tried my debit card, and VOILA! it worked!!!
i love my debit card.
after securing the seats i still couldnt believe it.
to think i was still informing germaine about helping me buy the next day (if it was out on tuesday) coz i had school.
then it just happened.
i woke everyone up with the excitement.
okay la i only woke subrina up.
finally an end to 2 weeks of monitoring the ticket release.
the concert is called Show Mi Again.
the "Again" is quite a silly addition, but who cares as long as we can see Mi. haha.
i totally couldnt believe that i bought the tickets just like that, when SC hadnt even announce that the ticket sales were out.
ha ha ha.
so now. presenting... THE CONCERT.
if you are wondering, i bought the saturday VIP tickets, with 10% discount from my worldcard. =)

the concert was quite alright.
xinhan was quite high that night.
saw my seniors, ding-ye, and the young young juniors whom ive never seen before.
reminded me of the past CO times when VCH was like our fourth home (second was dhs and third was shangyin).

as for now, i have a 3-day week!

《大搜查之女》is premiering in singapore cinemas on 18th september!
its so funny how they eventually arrive to this name.
initially it was called《查之女》, and most mifans liked it a lot.
then the company changed it to《大搜查》, but the response to it was that it sounded quite common.
therefore, the most brainless thing to do is to combine the names.
