Wooha!! I spent the weekend playing games at my cousin's place. A lot of Mario Party 4 with Damian and Jordan, Devil May Cry 2, and Soul Calibur 2 with Damian. That guy is lethal! He beat me more than half the time. I could simply make the excuse that I was new to the game...But that wouldn't be fair 'cause he is really was good. I just need a little more practice with the flow of the character motions. So....More playing is required.
And here I am now at home (Belleville). Just visiting my parents and picking up a few items with me back to Toronto.

Alright! My computer is back online and I have a fresh start with it. My cousin Nicky helped me fix it when I went up to my uncle's place on Friday. I knew what had to be done and I had already taken care of the processes prior to the re-format. But I felt more relieved if he had done it for me since he's the expert.
Came Saturday, I went to JCSA but a lot of people didn't come most likely due to the rain. After that, I went up to Scarborough again just to spend some time with my cousins. Even played a little mahjong!

The previous day, my computer decided to log into Windows without loading ANYTHING except the wallpaper and the mouse cursor; no taskbar, icons, or anything that can be interacted with. And this time, Recovery Console won't even start, so I couldn't use it like last week. So I'll just re-format....
On an up note, today I met up with Melanie and Sally because we planned to go out for lunch altogether. But before that, Melanie and Sally had to photocopy some materials for their class. On our way to the library, I saw Lisa roaming St. George Street and talked a small bit. So, on with lunch! Melanie suggested that we go up to Scarborough. I was hesitant, but I agreed so that I didn't sacrifice my effort of already coming out. Melanie drove us up to a Vietnamese eatery where I'd have to say the food was okay. Definitely couldn't say it was terrific. After that, we walked around in the Pacific Mall and then I took the subway back down to my residence.

My mom came out to Toronto yesterday so I went up to Scarborough right after the JCSA meet. When I got up there, I had nothing to do for a while, but then I played some table soccer and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Then it was dinner time. Nearing the end of the dinner, I asked if they will will be playing mahjong as they always did. And I joked about playing a little with them too. When they setup the table and tiles, they informed me that I will be playing a few rounds for my sister. For the amount that I played, I won 6 chips...Yay! My sister then kicked me out and she resumed.
During the time I was playing mahjong, Damian had setup Monopoly for some of us to play. So finally, when I finished mahjong, I joined Monopoly and we started to play that. The participants included me, Damian, Jordan, Kinsie, and my uncle. Near the middle of the game, I started getting really flukey rolls because there were hotels on one side of the board and think I avoided them 7 or 8 times whenever I came around. I landed in between them, like Chance, my railroad, and the Electric Works. In the end, I won due to my final act of raising a hotel on Boardwalk.

Ah, okay. I really exhausted myself last night because I helped out Eloise with moving some of her belongings. There were just numerous packed items ready to be moved to her new place. A few of us pitched in, but it took almost 4 hours.
That was the bad part. The good part was that I got to ride in her 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S. I don't think it's modified except for being lowered and those low panels to keep the car from flying. The colour was okay, "Ferrari Yellow" as she put it.
And also, her new place is the penthouse of the building. They call it a penthouse only because it's at the top. It didn't differ from any of the other apartments. But the view at night was....Well, it overwhelmed me. I was able to a little of Lake Ontario (all dark) and along the shoreline of lights. It was facing west, so I was able to see so many lights as far as the horizon. Wow, it was.
After moving, about 1:13am, we went to Chinatown to grab a bite.
After that, I returned to watch Star Trek Voyager and the sports report on the Ottawa Senators resisting elimination. YEAH!!!

After class today, I went down to the Paramount to see X-2: X-Men United with Derek and his friends. The great thing was, it only cost me $ 5.95 because of a student special. However, I am not sure how long that deal will last. The movie wasn't bad either, I found it to be better than the first movie. After, we went to eat at Burger King for some food. So I have again expanded my personal Toronto experience by walking to all these places. ...Actually, not so much.

Woohoo!!! Before I get to anything else, I have to say how fast Rogers is compared to that useless network back at the hotel residence. Then again, 56K was faster than that stupid network.
So here I am, still in Toronto because I might be taking a summer course. Currently jobless, but I've sent out a few resumes....Hoping someone will hire a useless individual like myself.
I think I'll take advantage of this speed for a while.

Wow...I haven't been here for quite a while now. So today marked the last of my exams and now I'm free, free! And I'm moving out of residence tomorrow! Even though I was studying and didn't want to add an entry during the exam time, much has happened. Me and a group of my friends were going to Anime North, but ultimately, we've cancelled due to high costs and lack of sufficient income.
Next piece of news, I had already said how Yugi-Oh is gradually sucking in my attention, right? Well, apparently, when I watched it in my room, my roommate also started to take some interest into. And Gundam SEED, which I have been collecting since October, has attracted my roommate into the show even more. I'd say that he likes the show on so many more levels than me.
I think that about wraps it up.

For lunch today, a group of us (Paul, Kurt, Veronica, Lisa, Catherine, Isabell, and including me) went to Salad King. I thought that it would be as the name alluded to...Salad. But, they actually served mainly Thai food. My impression of Thai food was that it was spicy thanks to the Campbell's Thai instant noodles. In fact, a lot of their menu items were spicy so I chose their seafood fried rice. I chose it because it was not spicy and the crab sauce grabbed my interest. And, it was delicious!!! Delicious!!!
After that, the rest of them went to buy ice cream while I walked back to the Dominion to buy some food supplies. In the Dominion flyer, this Sprite Ice was on sale so I bought some to try. When I returned to my room with the food, I tried the new sprite. At first, it tasted like Sprite mixed with club soda. Another sip and I tasted mint. So now that the suprise was over, I read the bottle....Lemon-lime and mint flavoured. I'll have to get used to this taste. And then I went off to JCSA for this week.

What an interesting Thursday it was. In the afternoon, I was supposed to exit the subway at the Bathurst station to get a haircut, but I ignorantly left one station before it. It wasn't a big problem, I just had to walk a little farther. So after my hair was cut, I looked in the mirror and thought it was too short. But it was okay after I put on my glasses.
By night (9:16pm), I took the subway to Sugar Club 'cause that was where the JCSA party was held. When I got there, it was dark but had plenty of flashing lights. The music level was high, but I could tolerate it. The atmosphere, however, I didn't enjoy. BUT, just 3 minutes after entering, I spotted Tomoko-san and Hiroyuki-san chatting. Since I didn't see anyone else I knew, I went over to them and joined. I made 2 more friends, Juri-san and a girl whose name I couldn't catch because of the loud music. All of us talked for about 2 hours about English and Japanese, like in a regular JCSA session. That, I enjoyed. A few more familiar faces I saw during the party. I briefly introduced myself to Jonathon, who was Winnie's acquaintance. Winnie was there too. As my friends left early, my sister and her friend came to dance. I had helped them buy tickets, just so you don't think it was a coincidence. And so, the 3 of us left at 1-o-clock.
That was it. I went to new places in the past two days, all being part of the Toronto experience.

Phewy....Yesterday, I went over to study Japanese with Derrick. Just me and him 'cause no one else was able to join due to other exams.
Derrick printed out last year's exam so we could practise with it. The designated time for the exam was 3 hours. And let me tell you, we didn't finish it in 3 hours, but longer than that. Here's the sad thing, we worked together and discussed the answers along with our textbooks and notes. We didn't even touch the essay part of the exam. By the time we finished up to the essay part, our brains were in pain. At least I know what I need to study...Cultural Japan.
Oh, since yesterday was Wednesday, dinner was satisfactory....Chili and rice. Actually, the chili was more like the meat from Taco Bell.

OK, today was my routine JCSA event thingy. Started out normal enough; grouped at tables with strangers. But Asami-san placed me at a table where I met some new friends. There was Albert, Ryuichi-san, Hiroyuki-san, and Tomoko-san. We talked a lot in both Japanese and English. I spoke English more often :} than Albert...Whom was swift in Japanese. Albert knew Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. Ryuichi knew Mandarin and Japanese. Cool, eh?
After JCSA ended, a bunch of us....Actually, almost 50% of the JCSA members went over to Second Cup and socialized. They basically extended the language exchange at a different location, but wasn't official. So anyway, I bought an expensive iced chocolate coffee and chatted about each other, common mistakes and difficulties in either language, etc. Asami-sam joined later on and talked to the others for an hour even though she was ready to leave. When it was over, we split up and returned to our sanctuaries.
So....A whole week of no studying. I MUST start tomorrow!!! ...The consequences will drive me to insanity.

Today was fun...A whole lot of sweaty fun! Yes, today was a cold day, and sweating was unlikely...But you'll know why.
OK, I had an assignment to hand in but I was one day late. The submission instructions for the assignment was to go to NF302 at Victoria College to hand it in. Since I was a day late, I took a chance and hoped that the room would be open. When I got there, the room was closed and no one was inside ('cause I knocked). Plus, the room was not designated as my TA's office. So then, I went to the registrar on the first floor to request the location of my TA's office. That did not progress too far for they needed my TA's last name, which I did not know. So then, I asked for my professor's office location hoping he'll accept my assignment. I went over to his office at BC26 only to read on his door, "Prof. ****** will be away until April 21." So I was stuck with no one to turn to. I had brought my notes from class in case information on my TA would be in it. So I double-checked them...And I found my TA's last name. So I went back to the registrar desk ready to provide the last name of my TA so that they could search for her room. But before that, the nice receptionist asked me what course it was for. I told her and she informed me that, "oh, you can hand it in at the principal's office over there," she continued, "there were students handing them in yesterday." I went over to Victoria College's principal's office and submitted my assignment to the secretary. And that was done.
Since the time I reached NF302, I was already sweating like a pig. The sweating didn't end until I got outside and took off my coat. It was so cold outside that the sweat on my back became ice cold. It tingled. But I enjoyed the outside cold.
Skipping a whole lot of unimportant events, I'll tell you about dinner....Roast beef and mashed potatoes. GOOD, it was! And the Ottawa Senators are going to advance!!! Now if only Toronto or Vancouver can manage to do the same too. Edmonton, sure, I'd be plenty happy if they can beat the Stars two games straight.

Aw shucks. My last quiz in Japanese was marked and returned to me today. But the mark was pretty low. I was unhappy with it. Also, I was late going into class because I was so tired and, well, was still sleeping. I woke up today at the exact time class started. Fortunately, I managed to get there in 22 minutes. I think that's all that is worth saying.
Oh wait! Here's some news...When I first saw the show Yugi-Oh, I mistook it to be some US attempt at a anime-style show. It thought it looked sort of anime-ish but different. Like some new contemporarily drawn anime shows imported into North America (ie. Hamtaro, Transformers, Bey Blade, etc.) Shows like Digimon or Medabots, I could still recognize as anime. But anyway, all those mentioned shows are from Japan. But with Yugi-Oh, it has caught my interest and now I chase after new episodes on TV. It doesn't sound very important, but this now means that I have started liking another cartoon. Wonderful, eh?

I've already said that I went out with my friends on Friday, right? Well, I went with them again to Wendy's for dinner yesterday. Oh, this time, Veronica was with us. Wendy's was good, but I fear their patties have become too similar to the others (ie. McD* & BurKing*). Due to the niceness of going out to do stuff, I kind of regret starting to do it AT THE END of the school year. Oh well, nothing can be done about the past now.

Let me start off with the topic which provoked today's entry. ...TTC! It was sooo SLOW for that one time today. I had to finish off an essay to submit before 5pm today, but I also had an important tutorial to attend. So I had planned to go to the tutorial, then return to my room to do the essay. OK, first TTC klutz, when I was at the Queen's Park subway station, it took a good 5 or 6 minutes for the subway to arrive. I'd usually be able to tolerate TTC's tardy transportations, but I was already late anyway, thanks to the streetcar just prior to this. Then after class, I went in the reverse direction back to Queen's Park and waited for the streetcar. Oh, I waited alright....18 minutes. So then I decided to walk back along hoping the streetcar would catch up. Off I went and in 11 minutes, I got to Primrose already. Sadly, the streetcar never showed up the whole time I was walking back.
The essay was eventually finished and submitted.
Next topic is a little better. I was at Lisa's room loitering because I was bored. People came in and out and talked with us and such and such. Then, Lisa was hungry and wanted to eat sushi because she thought our dinner was unbearable. Oh, I talk about that after. Anyway, seeing as I'm a fan of Japanese cuisine, I volunteered to go with her. She grabbed Isabel and Catherine to come with us. Lisa and I bought some Japanese food for take out while the other two bought Pizza Hut's Cinnaparts. We took them back and ate in Catherine's room.
OK, the story of today's forced dinner was some kind of tomato sauced, fillet fish with potato spheres and peas. I actually enjoyed it. The fish was soggy and didn't taste like fish! I liked it plenty. Especially the potatoes and peas.

The day started off with Corn Flakes and banana slices and watching an afternoon hockey game of the Rangers and the Bruins. I received a call from my uncle asking me if I wanted to go up to Scarborough for steak. I replied 'yes' and he drove me up there. Once I got into his car, the radio was talking about severe acute respiratory syndrome like all news programs do. But strangely, somewhere along my bronchial tubes, I felt a little uncomfortable....Breathing actually. So that had me pondering about my safety. A little later, there were small beginnings of throbs in my head which I feared would have been a headache. So...I jumped to the conclusion that if I had diarrhea, a fever, and coughing, I'd be in deep doo-doo. However, the matter was forgotten when I watched some Kenshin with my little cousin and ate steak. Considering I haven't had steak since....A while, it was very delicious. Throughout today, I think I purposely decided to ignore the importance of the homework that I must start and complete soon. Tata!

Wooha!!! I am soooooo happy! (and relieved)
My Japanese term test was marked and returned to me today. To my surprise, my mark exceeded my expectations on Monday. So, very relieved. So now with that good news, I mgiht doom myself by being over-confident for the final exam and other current projects.
While I'm here, I might as well tell about tonight's dinner. ...Which was quite excellent: create-your-own fajitas or tacos or nachos. I was thoroughly statisfied with tonight's food. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat a full meal because I only returned 15 minutes before the end of dinner. But oh well...No big deal.

Ugh, what a dreadful day. At first I was anxious and calm going into my Japanese term test, but unfortunately the test was not as smooth as I had hoped. I already knew what I definitely messed up on....And on top of that, there are those unexpected errors that the markers will catch. There's only one thing to do from here: benkyou benkyou benkyou!

Tonight for dinner, I went to Daily Sushi with my sister. I tried out the chicken rice and their "Carlton St. Sushi". I chose that dish because there were no raw fish but only cooked seafood. Specifically, fake crab, shrimp, squid, clam, (cooked) eel, and egg. My sister had a bento box type dinner. I'd say that mine was alright...But the best of course was the crab. Mmmm! Oishikatta desu yo!

I went to help out at the Ontario Japanese Speech Contest today at noon and finished at 7pm. But I don't want to allude to a lie that I worked for seven hours straight. I actually mainly helped setup at the beginning and cleanup at the end. In between, I assisted in little things as commanded by the committee members. I must say, those contestants were really good! Some of them did struggle a little with memory and nervousness...But its expected.
Also, I don't believe I have ever been around so many Japanese people before. Their conversations just overwhelmed me because I couldn't understand their words. I did make some new friends there, Keiko-san and Teru-san. Both came from McMaster University, but originally Hiroshima.

Mmmm.....I'll talk about tonight's dinner. It was excellent! It was roast beef, mash potatoes, and vegetables. Sure, it sounds like a simple meal, but considering the food that is usually served, I enjoyed it as a specialty. It tasted delicious of course. Also, the vegetables were different from the ordinary: a large batch of green peas mixed with corn niblets. How fantastic that was! And I finished watching all of Rurouni Kenshin. I was deeply saddened by Kenshin/Shinta's departure. He's such a delightful character. At least more towards after being a wanderer (rurouni) than being a manslayer (hitokiri). Sad sad sad...But I'll always remember him as the funny "oro" guy.

Hmmm, how awkward to log the weekend that just passed...
OK, well I definitely enjoyed the weekend based on what I did after I went to the funeral. So I don't think I will discuss anymore of that.
My weekend virtually consisted of Devil May Cry 2! OH YEAH!!! Both of us (Kinsie) beat both Dante and Lucia versions. It was spectacularly fun. Soooo so good. And in the slots between eat, sleep, bathroom, and play, I managed to try out Zone of the Enders (first one) and Gundam G Generation Neo. I lost at both of those games. M'eh, oh well. I am satisfied now with DMC2. I wish I could go back next weekend to play the hard levels but I had volunteered ahead of time to help out an event.

Some news from yesterday. A good one and a bad one.
To make this short, I sampled Devil May Cry 2 finally. Although, yes, the reviewers have their reasons for their rating of the game, I still haven't played it and I like it pretty much. So I'm looking forward to playing more. Now isn't that good enough of a game?
Secondly, a relative of my family died. Not much more I can tell about that.

I'll try to sum up the last few days quickly and shortly. On Friday, I went to my uncle's because on Saturday, he drove me back home. Sunday, went over to Charles' house, but Charles was absent. So, I just played GoldenEye and watched TV with Andrew.
Short, huh?

G'ugh! Stupid Internet! ...Well, perhaps not Internet, but network. Yes, it's the network's fault that each page takes 4 minutes to load up. This started last night already. Anyway, my presentation is out of the way and done for. ...At the cost of no sleep. I managed to "rest my eys" for 45 minutes Tuesday morning.
Dinner Tuesday night was quite excellent. Well, out of the 2 people I talked to, I was the only one who liked it. We had beef stroganoff with mashed potatoes and broccoli (with green peas). I enjoyed it very very much!
And on to today, I went to sleep early (1am) for once in order to regain some downtime.
Oh, I saw Read or Die a few days ago. An anime OAV/OVA. It looked good and had some interesting characters.

OK! I submitted my essay for architecture today and discovered many people also used the Commerce Court as a comparison. I had a feeling that mine will be one of the worst compared to the others who used the same building. But, nothing I can do now. On the positive side of things, I had a very good dinner! ^_^ It was lasagna with vegetables. I didn't have too much tonight, guess I wasn't hungry. I did have some soup because it was good for once...Minestrone.
Alright, enough of this, time to resume my essay. ...Yeah, another one. I probably won't be entering anymore for a few days since after this essay I will have to complete a presentation, at the same time study for a quiz, then work on another (easier) essay, and at the same time, study for a term test. G'argh....Totemo isogashii yo.

Yoohoo! Aside from the essay being due tomorrow, and completing it tonight, I had an enjoyable time at Einstein's today. I met up with Robert, Itsuki, Stuart, and a friend of their's whom I don't know.
It was my first time going to Einstein's and coincidentially, I walked by it and wondered when I would go and with whom. But uhh, yeah, so apparently it was a pub and there were plenty of smokers in there. I was aware more than ever thanks to the government advertisements about being a "target" of second-hand smoke diseases.
We ate a little and talked quite a bit...2 hours. But I had to go to work on my essay(s). So I left.
The happiness doesn't stop there because when I went down for dinner, they were serving make-your-own sandwiches. I went as late as I could because I wasn't too hungry, but I was only able to eat one sandwich and some Cajun fries.
And later at night, I helped J-V with a small problem he had when changing his XP's Start button. Hee hee, I know I'm bragging, but I helped him change the colour of that green button....'Cause no one likes it green. So he's happy, I'm happy I was able to help. Ahh, quite good.
Resuming with my essay.

Today's late entry was due to a conversation I had with someone I met at 1am. I went downstairs for a drink when I saw Jun-san studying with a friend. So I just wanted to say "hi" and go, but I began to talk a little with Jun and then to his friend, Takao-san. For the last while, I was just chatting with Takao about many things. Jun was on the phone outside durin that time. So anyway, the real interesting thing was that Takao knew fair bit of Mandarin and Cantonese. Oh, Japanese as well of course. So we were able to understand some of the stuff we said to each other. He knew how to read some Chinese and WOW, he read them very well. His pronounciation of Chinese (for the most part) was very accurate. Ahhh....I just had a lot of fun talking with him. Too bad he doesn't live around here.
Oh, earlier today, I tried to do some of my work, but the NHL all-star game sort of interrupted me. So I sat through that with my homework. But I enjoyed that game very much.

Wow, just watched a funny funny film on OMNI.2! It was called "Love on a Diet" which starred Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng. Very very funny. My sister was right to suggest that movie for me to watch. But Kurokawa-san at the end...Oh well, even though he gained some pounds, he found someone. The best part about it was, the movie was set in Japan and I understood about 34% of the Japanese dialogue. And 79% of the Chinese dialogue. Why only seventy-nine percent? ...Well, they screamed and yelled a lot, therefore I couldn't hear what they said.
Anyway, I'm just blabbing for no reason, not like anyone will read this but me and some "web-strollers/stalkers."

Friday, was the only time which I could celebrate Chinese New Year with my family. My mom and dad came out to Scarborough; me and my sister went there also for dinner. We ate with my relatives and there was GREAT food! Then afterwards, I played some network Quake 3 Arena with my cousins. They won a round and I won a round. All was fun. Now I must face the work that lies ahead. G'ugh...
Happy Chinese New Year!

Nothing too enticing for anyone but me...But earlier (11:06pm), I left my room to go to the common room for TV and food. When I returned later, my key couldn't unlock my own room. J-V was out studying at the time, so I had a problem. I suspected my key of malfunctioning but I tried the common room again....That opened. So I figured it was indeed the lock to my room. So I went down to the frontdesk for assistance and had them open the door for me. He suspected the lock's battery had stopped working. Plus, he made a discovery that the lock he used to unlock my door was not proper either. So tomorrow morning, someone will be replacing the battery and correcting the other lock.
Why did I include this in my journal? 'Cause it was probably the most interesting thing that happened for a while. Later.

Good morning gozaimasu! Highlight: An interesting evening when Emily came over to see Shaolin Soccer. Again, I have witnessed an ambiguous reaction on one's face after watching that movie. Ahh, the joy of watching Shaolin Soccer again. Brings back recent memories from last semester. Heh heh heh. Sorry, I'm just laughing to myself.
Anyway...I really like Microsoft's new Media Player which I downloaded on Friday. I especially like this feature of the mini screen when the player is minimized onto the taskbar. It's like my very own "picture-in-picture." The larger picture being a webpage or document.
Ahhh! ...Oh yes, I also finally found the correct song from the Zone of the Enders 2 trailer! Yay! I could be the only one who is happy, but that's alright. For now, it is my favourite song. Go Kimura Maki(vocal) and Kirioka Maki(composer)! Hmm, perhaps I should sample more of her songs.....Well, both of their's.

Guess what! ...Yeah, about dinner again...
I tried something called vegetarian kofta and it was very good. It's basically potatoes and spices in an orange-coloured curry sauce. I liked it very much...Much more than fish and chips (which I didn't have). And they had some sort of chocolate mousse for dessert....Yummy!
Also, I installed the new Windows Media Player 9. I was impressed with it overall, especially the colour changing feature. Umm, but I am disappointed that it still has yet to have a screen capture option. Ah oh well...

Hi hi! Guess what tonight's dinner was....LASAGNA! I'm only posting this because it was a dinner that I enjoyed. But before I came back near the end of the dinner, I was with my sister, mom, and dad. My mom and dad came to Toronto so the 4 of us had dinner together. Very short time together, but I think my mom was just glad to see me again. Well, mothers have to miss their children...It's normal, I guess. Anyway, that's all.

The reason there's a post here was because dinner was sandwich night. It was very good. But I only had two because I think I ate them at too quick of a pace and now my stomach is aching a bit. Oh well, can't anything about it. Oh! ...Earlier today, I met Itsuki-san from my EAS102Y1 tutorial. So of course I tried to use a bit of Japanese vocabulary when I talked to him. But our talk was cut short because he had a class to (literally) run to. Later on, I went with Kondo-sensei to her office because I needed a little understanding of the new stuff. Wow, her office was small! Those Robart's architects could have designed larger offices. While I'm on the topic of Robarts, they should've made it into an ordinary-looking building. Yeeesh! But anyway, while in her office, Komuro-sensei walked in and chatted with Kondo-sensei in Japanese (of course). Wow, I couldn't catch a single phrase in their conversation. No no, I wasn't eavesdropping. For one, I couldn't understand; and two, I couldn't help but hear them since they were a metre away from me. Plus, they were two meters away from each other while chatting.
But that was it, goodbye.

Just a little update here...I went back to the Eaton Centre to exchange those lights for a couple of face plates instead. I was hoping they would exchange since the lights still worked but the girl who helped me today said I wasn't allowed to exchange because there was a sign which I missed yesterday: NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. Rats! I thought. Then I went over to the girl who sold me the lights just yesterday to see if she'd help me out. She looked like the boss because she took charge of the other workers. Plus, I was hoping that she'd remember me and resolve my little problem. ...Luckily, she remembered me and decided to let me exchange. Whew! So that was my adventure today...Ja!

Gosh, today was sooooo cold! I found out through 2 ways: One, Shirley pointed it out when she was over at my room earlier. She had come over because we went to the Eaton Centre, mainly to shop around (her). Ahh, the second way I found out it was cold was walking outside to the TTC stop.
Wow, it's been quite some time since I've been to that place. I didn't even go at all last semester. So, at the Eaton Centre, we walked and talked about Cantonese and English stuff. Mainly, "how do you say this in [language]?" She was going to buy a sweater at American Eagle, but she decided not to after a suggestion I made: basically, how will she wear that when she returns to Hong Kong? She agreed; it would be too warm. So she left it alone. But I bought something too --- lights for my phone.
That was all; she had to go to a friends, so I returned to my room. My safe haven, where I did some homework.

Wow, dinner was good! Chicken fajitas! So good, that I feel unwell after eating 3. I kind of packed it with too much stuff. Heh heh, my bad.
Well, now that I posted on dinner, I might as well talk about today...One class was fun and one class was boring, VERY boring. Oh, I did get a small souvenir from Japan brought by one of my instructors. Domo arigatougozaimashita!

Mmmm...What a delicious dinner tonight! I wouldn't consider it fancy but it certainly wasn't commonly made downstairs. I had a roast beef and mashed potatoes dinner with mushroom gravy. ^_^ Also some salad. It was good!
But before dinner, I was at an information session to learn more about studying in Hong Kong for a month in the summer. I had wanted to go, but the estimated cost wasn't very appealing. That, and I'm not eligible for any of the scholarships that's available for those particular programs. Why? They aren't opened to first year students. Ah well....Plenty of time later to go back to Hong Kong.

Well, just had my Japanese quiz today...And I wish I had 1 more minute because I missed one sub-question blank. GAH! Oh well....
I was flipping through channels when I landed on Citytv and saw Joe Millionaire. I don't usually watch these shows, but I just wanted to see the guy and his lie. And I must say, I was not impressed by that show. I think the show is cruel to the man and the women...Especially the winner. The poor guy will have to return to his $19000/yr. job and the winner will be disappointed/shocked/angry (perhaps) when the truth will be revealed to her. So sad. I will most likely not watch that show from now on, I feel sorry for them all. ...Anywho, that was just my opinion. Ja!

The entire day was (to me) meaningless and dull. For one thing, I have no food downstairs; no friends to talk to; stuck with homework.
But, at night, I did go to a Japanese restaurant for dinner...And it was excellent. In order to reach that place, I had to walk down Bay St. to Dundas St. through dry, cold, air. It was very cold indeed. After dinner, it wasn't as cold, and the way back seemed shorter.
Then Shirley came by to pick up a plastic holder for her TTC pass because I had extras. But it was fun, enough to nullify the day prior to the dinner. Anyway, we were just chatting about Cantonese and English and other things. There were lot's of topics that were discussed on the subject of the two languages. Plus, she had Hong Kong background and I had our background. So that was fun. Sure used up a lot of time. Good.

At today's EAS 102, I saw someone whom was new in EAS 120. His name is Stuart (or Stewart) and I sat with him. To talk about stuff...Mainly about his knowledge of Japanese. Turns out he has a few Japanese friends. But I got to talk to him a bit and I feel less intimidated now. I WAS before because during EAS 120, he'd ask questions (fluently) in Japanese and nobody from our original class knew what he meant. A number of us were uncomfortable in fear of having to try harder in Japanese now that the elites were here.
Aside from that, my dad came out to Toronto. I had dinner with him and my sister at Red Lobster. Mmmm, good. But I was too full; didn't even finish all the food. Yup, so later on, I'll go down to the R level to see what they're serving. So I can pack it back up here.

So I left off with yesterday's dinner....It was bad. Well, not terrible either; I still ate it. They served us all chicken and rice. I ate more of the potatoes. Ah, but I did eat with Shirley (whom I met through Christine) and she was with Suzanna and Evelyn. They all spoke fluent Cantonese, unlike me. Oh well, getting a little exposure into my own language should prove beneficial. Oh, and Suzanna was a student of Mr. Lim! He taught me grade 11, 12, and finite math at QSS. But he left to teach at the northern York area a year ago.
Nothing special today, except that we had lasagna for dinner. I was very happy about that! I had planned on eating a serving, then do homework for an hour and eat another serving. ....But after doing my homework, I decided not to stuff myself.

I sort of skipped Sunday's entry....Oops, Saturday's too.
Okay, Saturday, my family (including some close relatives) went over to Charles' for dinner and of course, mahjong. Although Charles was already back at residence, Andrew was still around (for this last year anyway). So Andrew setup my PSX to play some Syphon Filter 2 in single player mode. I, tried to start my Japanese review and homework. The review I started, but didn't quite reach the homework part. After the delicious meal, I resumed my homework but not without a little Soul Edge just for tickles. Then I returned home to finalize some packing.
Sunday: Woke up early (too early) and began to move all my stuff into my uncle's van and we zipped to Toronto. I was able to move my stuff up and back into my room easily. Other than the wet dripping soup, my priority was setting up my PC back together. And I continued my unpacking and re-organizing from there. Took a while, but I managed....But not very well since there are still stuff lying around. Oh well. I finally got a chance to finish up my homework...Or so I thought. I just slacked and went to people's rooms to hang around.
Monday: I know my alarm went off this morning but I just slapped it off and fell back to sleep. Yikes! But then, my sister called to wake me up. Good thing she did that because I would have dozed passed Japanese class. But things went normally from there. Oh, two of my senseis returned from Japan. And at the end of class, a "select" few received a treat. Ah, after school, I had lunch with my mom and sister. That's all....Hmm, dinner is now available. See ya.

Let me start this one off by...HAPPY NEW YEAR!
On New Year's Eve, I was at Dan's place to celebrate the inevitable cycle of time. But as humans, we just happen to place that particular point in time to be of significance. Oh yeah, Charles was there too! But Andrew was at a friend's party. The night began with me, Charles, and Naomi talking a little. Then it was the preparation for the countdown until 2003 and then it was snack time.
After the whistles and sounds, I gave Charles a small Japanese lesson on asking about certain things. ...Things he's into.
Not much really happened afterwards. The other guests left and those who remained were playing/spectating mahjong. Charles chatted with Naomi some more. And me? ...I just went down to look at the fish and dozed off in the comfortable leather chair. Heh, I wasn't sleeping, but was in a deep rest because when I went upstairs to leave, I couldn't balance myself on the stairs.
....And today, I just saw "Ring" (Ringu). It wasn't very scary. Nothing graphic, but odd and eerie. I'll tell you one thing, I'll try to avoid dark spaces and televisions. Well, maybe not TV, but if it suddenly turns on or screechy sounds start eminating, I'll just leave. ^_^
