Kon'nichiwa! Today, I asked Brandon over to watch show him some anime. But before we got to that, we tried out his Microsoft XBox. Now, my only impression of the XBox was just a small bit at EB half a year ago. ...I didn't favour it much mainly due to the controller design; it was difficult to handle because it was big. So we played Dead or Alive 3 and Halo. The games were very fun and enjoyable. DoA3 was excellent with the fighting techniques and speeds; numerous tricks! The "sights" were convenient too, but unnecessary. Then I tried out Halo, which turned out to be very fun. I would have wanted to continue but we went out to Burger King for food. Ah yes, all the while, we were using Brandon's Type S(?) controllers instead of the standard. Apparently, Type S controllers were designed to be smaller for "Asian hands"...According to Microsoft, which Brandon told me.
Ahhh, anime....I showed him GoldenBoy which he enjoyed because of adult humour and animation. It wasn't as flashy or crazy as Excel Saga though. Then Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 was next up. We watched 4 episodes of that because he had to return home. I'm not sure how he felt about that series so far.
But anyway, I now have a better understanding of the XBox experience and I'm glad to have seen Brandon again after about 4-5 months.
Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Jessica!

As usual (during holidays and non-school days), my day started off with waking up at noon or so.
This morning, I enjoyed some old memories when I decided to show Damian and Jordan my old Micro Machines (remember those?) and my old Hot Wheels kind of cars. My favourite were the Batmobile and the monster Ford truck. We played Connect4, Chinese Checkers (marbles), and those two played Guess Who.
During the afternoon, the 3 of us started watching the 2nd disc of Gundam X. We were half way when my entire family had to go to Ron and Angela's place. I ended up driving us all there since I was one of 2 people who knew the way. ...Heh, when we reached Trenton, I missed a turn and ended up in a small street. So I went back and corrected my mistake. I drove into their driveway and happened to be the first of the guests to arrive. Just minutes after us, Bill's family also arrived.
The kids (and older kids) played my PSX and ate spring rolls. Yes, my PlayStation travels all over the place. There was so many rolls available that I was full before dinner started. So as dinner rolled along, I ate a bit, but still made me even stuffier.
The rest of my night included PSX, ping-pong, card games, and driving back home at 2:30am. So now, I must sleep in order to wake up at a new afternoon. ^_^

YAY! Went over to Charles' for dinner today. Actually, part of my family went mainly for mahjong. I went to see Andrew and Charles. I brought my PSX there if any of Andrew's friends wanted to play. I just watched for a few matches of Soul Edge. ...Then I was drawn into playing one round with them. Needless to say, I won....But it just shows how dull my gaming world is. Skipping to the dinner part, me and Charles went downstairs to eat and watch "God of Cookery" starring Stephen Chow. ^_^
And then Damian, Jordan, me, Charles, and Andrew played UNO Extreme for a while. Jordan was the closest to winning but we had to leave before a victor was actually decided.

To keep it short, today my family and I all went out to open our presents at my uncle's house. It was quick...All the presents under the tree were opened in about 35 minutes. I thought it was too un-organized and nobody knew 'exactly' what everyone else got. But it had to be rushed because some people had to leave early.
Shortly, we went to Simon and Elaine's house for dinner. The food was good also. It was sooooooo good that I wanted more even though I had enough. Yeah, that was our 2002 Christmas.

Merry Christmas! (to those who celebrate it)
For me, the 24th started out in bed, sleeping in the morning. My parents were preparing foods for the party that was going to held at night. After I woke up, Damian and Jordan wanted to watch Gundam X, so I watched with them. We had finally finished with the first disc of episodes. It was enough to make them watch the second one LATER. As the day moved on, I prepared for helping the preparations of the dinner at the restaurant. But I was called to help out with regular restaurant work because there was a lack of workers. It wasn't fun. Long after, Uncle Simon arrived first of the guests. Then they eventually all came. Actually, Charles and Andrew were first....My mistake. We basically had a lot of food out for everyone to enjoy. Much thanks to my mom, grandma, and the kitchen staff. The food was much better than that of QCCA 3 days ago.
When other guests arrived, like Naomi and Larry, I didn't socialize with them as much as I wanted to. I haven't seen them in a long time and wanted to spend a little time with them. ....But I failed. I just restrained myself and kept quiet. I don't know why I did that. Next time, I won't.
Then Charles and Andrew came over to my place after most people had left. The remainder were the mahjongers. So we saw 2 South Park episodes and some Devil May Cry 2 previews. I didn't have much media to offer them because I don't have broadband.
In conclusion, it was one of those fun days throughout the year! Although not always exciting, I still look forward to everyone opening all their gifts today (25th). Now, time to sleep.

Ahoy! All my shopping has been completed; wrapping as well. And today my uncle (including my grandmother, Damian, Jordan, and Kinsie) came into Belleville for the QCCA dinner. Basically played video games and watched some Gundam SEED. Although Jordan can't read the subtitles very well, he still wanted to watch them.
At the dinner, the turn-out was much greater than previous meetings. There were a lot more people...Most I have never seen before. Basically, after the food, there were performances by the young and the not-so-young. I finally saw Charles again after, what, 4-5 months? He's much more well-structured. Good for him. I think it's agreed by all (Andrew, Charles, Kinsie, and I) that the night could have been spent doing other more relevant things. In order to ward off the boredum, Kinsie took meaningless yet hilarious pictures with the digital camera. We had a laugh. Too bad that Charles didn't come over...I'm much disappointed. Oh well, that's life.

Ahoy....I finally got my Christmas shopping started on Wednesday. I went all over the place (in BLVL) looking for gifts. And today, I began to wrap them up. Quite a few there are....But I have yet to finish shopping for everyone. And worst yet, when I tried to fix the tape in the tape dispenser, I cut my finger with the blade. Good old Band-Aid is here to help. Hee hee. I think I will resume my shopping tomorrow.
Hmmm, ever since I've returned to Belleville, I've done absolutely nothing. I'm not working or anything. ...Which reminds me, I should start my homework soon. But not now, I'll procrastinate until later. BYE.

My neck is about 89% healthy again. YAY for me! I feel so good that today me and Royce went to visit Quinte. I just wanted to greet some of my old high school teachers. Not much has changed at that place. Uhh, oh yes, afterwards, we went to Wal-Mart so I can start my shopping...But I wasn't able to buy anything. Then to my house we went. Just watched television, some South Park episodes, Dragonball Z, and some Gundam. Nothings too grand or planned. But it was nice to see him and my teachers again after 6 months.

Ahhh, so today was the first full day I was at home; right from the morning to night. Unfortunately, the first thing that happened when I woke up was that I couldn't turn my neck to the left. Actually, specifically, I unable to move anywhere within 121° from the left. If I had tried...PAIN. So I ate, lied down, and played video games looking to my right the whole time. Thankfully, now that almost 12 hours have passed, I have regained about 32° more right now. So I am hoping that by tomorrow, I'll recover fully; and not screw up my neck even more tonight. Goodnight.

Alrighty! ....I'm finally finished with this semester!! Now time for the holidays! ....Of course, I'll probably be sleeping most of the time. Oh, I watched Golden Boy today. Wow. It was something. So hilarious! Ahh, good animation is good. I've got to pack now....Some things I need for Belleville. OK, onward.

Wooha! Today was pretty amusing.
Everything was basically normal today until about 10 at night when Emily called me. So we went over to the Tea Shop 168 for some bubble tea. She tried chocolate and I tried cherry. She enjoyed her's but mine was over-sweetened. It took me 2 hours to finish it waiting for the ice to melt. We went upstairs just to chat again about our origins and homes and problems and on and on....
Afterwards, we watched one of those Chinese movies on the triads and such, and then Goldmember. It was quite an enjoyable night/morning.

Much has happened over the last day or two...But there was one thing that made me most frustrated. That was, our network was extremely slow! Slower than dialup!!! All I could do was open header titles for webpages (rarely) and chat on MSN. Downloading? ...was screwed. So freakin' angry, I was!!! GAHHH!!! But now, our Internet is up and running. I do fear, however, how long this will last. Oh well....It can't be helped.
Other stuff that happened, I finished classes for this semester; I saw The Tuxedo; bits and pieces of xXx (Vin Diesel). I think that's all the highlights I can remember. Yes....That is all for now. No wait, now, I'll be going to eat. Ja mata.

Guess what! I had a test today in East Asian civilizations, which was worth 20% of my final mark. And man, it was hard! But it is finally done with....Until the next one. BOOO!
My dad came out to Toronto today. But not my mom because she didn't have today off. I had dinner today with my uncle and aunt, my dad, and my sister. We went to a little place called Japango. I guess it was very good but too much sashimi for me. This one wasn't owned by Chinese people....This time, Koreans. So I guess it's pretty rare for Japanese to own Japanese restaurants. But I don't go out much, so I wouldn't know of one....Yet.^_^ But our waitress was from Tokyo though.

Ahoy! I saw 007 James Bond: Die Another Day on Friday and it is good. Why? Because it's Pierce Brosnan! ...And it's new, with Pierce Brosnan in it. So why did I go see the movies even though I had other work to be completed? Well it all started: ...
...With a posting that anyone from the floor I'm on (or from any other floor), who wants to go see Die Another Day together, should meet. When the time came for us to meet....Nobody showed up. Typical. (The previous Niagara Falls trip only had 4 people.) Anyway, so nobody from the hotel wanted to go see it at that time. Not even the co-ordinator, my don, wanted to go. She just gave me directions on how to reach the Paramount. Luckily, I had already made arrangements with Jason to see it at that time. So we met at the theatre and go to see it on the big IMAX screen. What a large screen. No details about the movie except that the Q scenes are always hilarious!

Wahoo....Excellent meal tonight. They had buffalo wings and fries! I couldn't even remember how many drumsticks I had. Bare in mind, like all wings, they were small. So I had a lot of them. And I recently met more people in this residence. Hmmm...So many people! Gahhh! Near exam time...Which means I should carefully read my course materials (textbooks). Yowzers!

Mario Party 4 on Nintendo GameCube! That was a very entertaining game. I had a taste of it while at my cousin's place. The best part is that most of the mini-games do not rely on one's ability to rapidly press a button; because I'm too slow. This one DOES rely on rapid pressing of buttons, except it has to be timed and rhythmed. It's excellent how if you press rapidly too fast, there will be consequences. Anyway, enough about that. Time to return to studying....I have these little things called exams to worry about. GRRRRR.

Wheeeee.....! It's been a very long working period. I was so busy. But this is just a break 'cause more work is on the way. Oh joy.
I just received more DVDs from eBay: Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 and Golden Boy. I'm going to enjoy those....But I'll wait till later.
Currently, I'm at my uncle's just relaxing and such. Not too much going on here; just enjoying my short intermission between work. Well, later.

Ahoy! Just here at my sister's place to pick up my books to return to my room. But this afternoon, I was here to have lunch because I have depleted all meals in my room. So after that, I went to Gerstein's to do a little research on Leo Szilard for my science seminar. After, I returned to my sister's place to have dinner when I decided to contact Emily to see if she saw Shaolin Soccer yet. ...She hasn't. But only because she has been busy. It turned out later that I ate dinner at Not Just Noodles; I ordered rice. And Emily had a snack because she had already eaten dinner earlier. I would like to skip the comment on the food I had and jump over to walking in the snow. So fun...Heh, not really. There were plenty of them just drifting, but into my eyes and ears, which bugged me plenty. Yes...So then I went up to her place again and noticed that her ceiling light fixtures were identical to my sister's. So they both shoot an unnecessary intensity of light at me. GRRR! While I was there, I tried Emily's Rice Crispy squares. She used a lot of marshmallows; so much that I had problems lifting my fingers off of the surface. But it was good...Especially with milk. ^_^
Jason came in and we talked a lot more than last time. But we basically watched some TV for a short while. When I left, Emily came with me so we could get bubble tea again. We went to Jaka's this time but their bar was closed. Fortunately, they were nice enough to make just 2 more for us. We tried banana and I think we enjoyed it. I was originally aiming for blueberry, but didn't since it would have been a bother.
Then I walked back to...Well....Here. And I will return to my own room. Ja mata.

Agh, so tired....But I feel better now.
Why was I so tired? Well, while I worked on my project, I never slept. I kept working on it through the night and morning. I think that was the first time in my life that I never went to bed and stayed up the whole time. Hmm, nope, no, wait......Actually, I guess it was the 2nd time. The last time I did the same thing was at Anime North where I kept an eye on the others as they slept.
Well anyway, I've seen all of Gundam X (excellent!) and I have the first 3 episodes of the new Gundam SEED. It's made with more CG in this series and is a visual treat. It better be, considering an episodes takes up nearly 200Mb. And I found the opening song very good to listen to, so I got it.
Anyway, time to go have dinner....Custom sandwiches! I mention it only because I know it will be delicious.

AHHHHH! So unfair!
OK, so I spent all weekend working on an assignment due Tuesday and I'm close to getting it done. It's for architecture and it required an essay and a board to abstractly and visually represent a building of my choice. So I'm close to finishing my essay since it's more important than that visual piece; and left the visual piece last. ...Or so I thought. I re-read my project outline and noticed all evaluation was based on the visual piece. So I reviewed it twice and realized the word 'essay' wasn't mentioned in there at all. I was shocked. So now I have to work hard on that visual piece and drop the essay (which is almost done).
This experience was first very upsetting but I found it stupid and funny. I laughed at myself. I could've done so well for this project....If only I read the thing properly. GAHHH! This has never happened to me before. Oh yeah, how severe do I have to work on this? Well, seeing as I have to submit the project Tuesday and today is....wow, Tuesday.
Later!

Today I went with my sister to have dinner with my parents in a Japanese restaurant. I know I have been talking about my dinners a lot, so I'll keep this short. It was good. I had a lot of kani sushi. Yummm....!
Oh, my Gundam X DVDs finally arrived (from eBay). Yay!!! Best yet, my sister bought me a replica of a Japanese art piece, an anime, and a pair of Japanese chopsticks. Woohoo! Arigatougozaimasu.

Hello! I just returned from a weekend in Belleville and Scarborough. It has been a while since I went back to Belleville. So my parents were happy about that. Nothing much happened in Belleville, except I had a haircut.
Then in Scarborough I played some good ol' PlayStation2. I played plenty of Devil. Best game I've ever played....Until Devil 2. HEEHEEHEE!

Hard test today...East Asian Civilizations. It is basically history. But I was not exactly prepared for it. From what I've heard, a lot of people weren't. I don't know. I'll just have to try harder next time.
Today was the first time the TTC truly disappointed me. Before that test took place, I had 3.5 hours to study some more. But after waiting for 7 minutes (very long time for rush hour), there wasn't a street car in sight heading east. So I thought I'd walk to the next stop hoping by the time I'd get there, I would be able to spot streetcar would show up. But it didn't. So I walked to each stop hoping a streetcar would show up behind me. Finally, I looked back a few stops and saw a streetcar. But where was I when I saw it coming? ...I was at the main entrance at the hotel. I walked from University Ave. to Jarvis and only one streetcar showed up. Disappointment.
So then at night, I had to go to Scarborough for another family dinner because my aunt was going to return to HK in a few days. We had to eat today because that's when my parents were able to come out to Toronto. Again, the TTC disappointed me again. Apparently, an accident blocked the streetcars heading west this time. So I just walked over to Yonge St. (not that far). But it was still important that public transit should be available to me whenever I needed it. GAHH! Anyway, the food and service were very good this time. I enjoyed it very much. Plus, the dinner was sort of a birthday meal in honour of my grandmother.
That's all. Till we meet again.

This weekend, most of the floor left for their homes except I because my Aunt Winnie arrived in Toronto and so nobody will be going back to Belleville. I will get to see her Sunday at dinner in Scarborough. But that's why I didn't go home. So with everyone gone, I was sooo lonely.
That's why I was anxious to meet up with Jason and Emily to have dinner. But Jason couldn't join us due to other plans. So we went to Sushi Inn for dinner. This was decided last night when I randomly (on paper ^_^, really!) chose a type of food, which was Japanese. And she picked a restaurant she knew of. So anyway, it was first time there and to my surprise, it was completely full. Luckily, Emily made reservations earlier. The top level was full so they had to seat us in the lower level on one condition...No alcohol was available downstairs. It didn't matter to us. Especially me since I'm underage for that. You may think that the "lower level" was less attractive. Actually, it wasn't; it was moderately clean, spacious, and MUCH quieter than upstairs.
As much as I enjoy eating at Japanese places, I've never tried the raw fish at all. So tonight, I was told to try at least one piece of raw fish. I said I would only if she would. Unfair advantage for me since she has no problem with eating it. So we each ordered an udon and a sushi appetizer which consisted of crab ^_^, shrimp, clam, salmon, and tuna. Emily suggested that for my first time trying it, I should eat salmon (sake, as it is called). I agreed and tried to take a small bite, but I couldn't. I was laughing so hard and struggled to put that piece of fish in my mouth because Emily said, "I've gotta see your face for this." (Or similar.) Once I finally had it in my mouth, I couldn't bare to chew and taste it. It was icky! Fishy taste and soft. ICK! I had some tea with that. Emily couldn't believe, however, that I just stuffed the rest of that piece in my mouth. I didn't enjoy doing that; it was gross. Felt like eating animal fat/blubber. ICK! I had more tea for that one. She had the tuna one; I didn't touch that one 'cause it was all red.
The rest of the food was excellent! After eating, she brought me to her house and Jason was there back from somewhere. So I got to see her house for the first time. And we all talked a bit until Jason left. Then I decided to bring Emily to my messy room just to show her. We just went through my oekakies and listened to some music and jokes I downloaded. Afterwards, I accompanied her back home. Along the way, we bought bubble tea....Very nice! As the baka that I am, I just mindlessly followed her INTO the building again. Then I realized that I was supposed to stop at the door. But I forgot how to leave the premises so she had to show me the way onto Wellesley. So I walked back to the hotel and here I am typing up this journal entry.
This would have been more memorable than it already was if Charles had been able to join us too. CHARLES, it's just school...

Yippy, a nice fire alarm today at the hotel to give me a little break and some fresh cold air from studying. As usual, the use of the elevators to reach the lobby were not encouraged. So we all took the stairs down. I only thought about my computer at the time ^_^. But as soon as I got outside, I scanned the building to see if there was actually a fire.....None. After the firefighters arrived for moment, we were able to re-enter the building. Ran up 11 floors worth stairs. *PANT* *PANT*.
Yeah, all was fun. So right after, I decided to eat. So I went back down (this time, elevators) to find a wonderful meal! Cold-cut platters with all the fixings (except cheese) served with taters. Y'know why it was delicious? 'Cause the staff didn't make it, only prepared it. It was yummy...Now, back to work. ....Work, work, PLAY!
OH YEAH! Last week, I saw Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It was quite good. It was a treat considering I it was knew. But they really could try to improve the special effects. Other than the CGI, it was an interesting story.

As you may have noticed, unless the meal here was good, I won't report about it. And since I have already mentioned today's dinner, that must mean it was good. Well, it was! It was nachos, with rice, meat sauce, sour cream, lettuce, cheese, and peppers! It was sooo good. Since I don't prefer nacho chips, I just helped myself to 3 dishes of rice with the meat sauce on top. It was delicious. That's all for today. Sleep time!

This weekend, I was finally able to see my mom again since September. I was unable return to Belleville for 3-4 weeks now. Luckily, my mom came out to Scarborough where I was at my uncle's again. I had the chance to try out some PSX games like Gundam Battle Assault 2 and Spiderman 2. Without a doubt, I enjoyed the Gundam game much more.

I have been busy with some homework and I usually don't talk about dinner, but tonight's meal was fantastic!
Cheese tortellini with tomato sauce or cream sauce, vegetables, minestrone soup, and garden salad or potato salad. I was FULL! I wanted to eat more, but I wouldn't have been able to fit it all in. Plus, I have return to my homework. Ahhhh.....Later.

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? I'm sure you're all (or majority) at home for Thanksgiving. Well, unfortunately, I'm not back at home because I have to do some homework. Specifically, I needed to use the library, so I had to stay for the weekend. Its been quite quiet since most students returned home. Not much happened except that I finally made an oekaki since August. That was it. Later everyone. OH WAIT, I can now type in Japanese on my computer. Yippy!

How's it going? My week has been a little busy. Mostly with homework and assignments in all courses except EAS120Y1. That one is simple. But uhhh, not much happened this week, nothing special at all. Until today, that is....I had dinner with Mike (my roommate's friend's roommate) and Monica (my roommate's other friend). And the best part was dinner! Yeah! People actually enjoyed tonight's dinner 'cause it was hamburger and fries. It was great. I had three. ^_^ Ha ha. Then later, I invited Emily (floormate) to watch Shaolin Soccer. Yes, I know, "that movie again?"......But I don't have many on me. But she said it was "interesting" and "bizarre". Oh well. She is learning Mandarin though, so perhaps she can benefit from it. That's about it. Going to bed only to wake up and do work.

Highlight of Friday: Me, Dave, and Carissa went over to Daio for sushi. Well, I brought it back to Primrose to enjoy it over a movie...The Sum of All Fears. It was an okay movie. Not good enough to watch again, but good enough to want to watch. Uhh...Saturday was filled with an ambiguous mix of homework and video games at my uncle's place. Go PS2! I wish I had a PS2 now. And today...Very much the same as Saturday. Oh, for dinner, we had TA-BEEN-LO. Y'know, where we boil the food at the table and eat it. I plan to go back to my room some time tonight, but now knowing when...Oh well.

I apologize for the lack of entries this weekend. So let me begin on Saturday when Sarah came over for a visit. We really didn't do much except watch 3 episodes of Love Hina. Then I gave her the series so she can watch it on her own. I ended up walking with her to her apartment just to see it. I will not comment on the her home because I don't have that permission.
Nothing much happened Sunday except homework. Monday, I had lunch at Harvey's with my sister and mom. But other than that, I was constantly finishing an assignment.
Tuesday! (today) After the EAS102Y1 tutorial, I met 2 more Japanese people! Robert and Jun. Before I discovered he was Japanese I had a hunch he was Japanese...Just by the way he looked and spoke. Don't misunderstand, he speaks excellent English. Just the way he speaks gave me the clue. I know I'm obsessive over Nihonjin, but there are so few. I have treasure the meeting. After classes, I hung around other people's rooms. When it was time for dinner, I went down with Cindy, Isabel, Veronica, and Lisa. Mmmm, it was Greek food....Chicken kabob with potatoes, pita bread, sauces, lettuces, vegetables, and salad. It was yummy.
Anywho! I should start some homework...

Wow....It's late. Good thing I don't have early classes today. But let me tell you what I've done today. (being Wednesday)
Alright, in the morning, I missed breakfast because I woke up later than expected. On with my first class where I saw Joanne again. Turns out she has to get up early at 6:45am or so to make it to campus. Yowza! However, she seems quite optimistic. After that class, I had planned to go to Union Station by subway to work on a project on Union Station. Basically I took some bad pictures and made a drawing or two. Upon completing that, I returned to my room for lunch. !!Spaghetti!! In East Asian Civlizations, I met a new friend named Crystal. I made her because she was looking for a spot at the lecture hall. At first, I used English to tell her there was an empty seat. We eventually communicated through Cantonese; but I don't remember how that started. Later, she introduced me to a study group (her friends) so we exchanged emails. And then I left. Everything continued normally until late at night (1am), Cindy and her friend Ray asked if I wanted to join them for a late night snack in Chinatown. I agreed to go with them since Thursday's class will begin at 12:30pm. We went to a restaurant called Fook Lei (or something) and had Chinese food. Throughout the ride and walking and eating, I had a good time. ...Even though those 2 spoke Mandarin most of the time; Ah, but they spoke some English and Cantonese just for me. And now here I am...Slowly drifting into the world of slee...ZZZzZZzzZzzzz...

Again with classes early in the morning...
During semiotics, I saw Joanne again. (first time was 3 weeks ago) But I had no time to chat at all since I had to go across campus for my next class; while she had a 3 hour gap.
While back in my room, I was asked to play badminton in the hallway with Carissa, Lisa, and Dave. It wasn't really badminton since I was getting hit (intentionally). That was fun...But they prevented me from doing some homework. OH well...I didn't want to do it anyway. I just have to put it off again.
