A part of me feels broken. The seniors, the batch before mine, will be graduating soon... looked up to them a lot. Sobx. They were always the role model and always will be.
The last set for women's tertiary was the most memorable. I learnt to be "in a trance". To not care about the surroundings. To just row. Really row. Only the last stretch, I need to work on it.
Got to learn to bottle my tears too. Must put on a strong front. Activate my position. r e l a x . . . . i will miss the girls.. Jo, Za, Jazz. Thank you. and also Darren, Jon kang, Melvin and Thomas. Gosh .. even as I'm typing this entry, my eyes are getting blurry.

*Deep Breath*

We need 25-30 girls so we can rotate efficiently the next time round. Hid and I gave our word to Ivan but we need the teams' support too. Yeah.
"Our rowers are precious."

We will work to become the First.
Claim what we've lost.

Elite's timing is around 4:20 to 4:30 for Women's and 3:30 for Mixed.
We need more Power to up our average speed and to have that, keep intense focus for 5 mins.
I learnt to Treasure the Course. That Every second counts.

The waters was good. Ben coaxed well.
Today is the big day. Ben will be watching from the side. NYP will do him proud.

I have been blind, unwilling| To see the true love you’re giving| I have ignored every blessing| I’m on my knees confessing

That I feel myself surrender
Each time I see your face
I am staggered by your beauty
Your unassuming grace
And I feel my heart is turning
Falling into place
I can’t hide
Now hear my confession

I have been wrong about you |I thought I was strong without you |For so long Nothing could move me| For so long Nothing could change me

You are the air that I breathe
You’re the ground beneath my feet
When did I stop believing

This is my favourite song lately. Quite Emo.
It lasts for 4 mins 56 secs.
I hope we can get pass the finishing line by then... or even earlier.

We have to Overcome Ourselves; our fears.
Before We Conquer Others.

One thing good about pre-competition, is The Binge. My overall diet for this week is dirty. Today is the last day.. cleared up most junk. After the race, run more + clean diet.

Can still feel like a bobbing thing in the sea. Damn my mind. So kuku. One moment kan chiong, next moment weak, another sane and mechanical.
Shoulders and back aching mad. Did not give in though... Held on.

6 more days to get back the ZEST.
Let the process of winning be enjoyably hard.
Shall be aggressive whenever appropriate.

The most memorable set was with the mix. Extreme waves. Funny how we took a while to reach the end.
Last set was the best. Paced with SAFRA and SP alumni. The surge was there, the atmosphere was there. But not much waves.
There's always room for growth; for improvements.

Very Nua le... All in all, there's effort in this weekend's rowing. Majority is a mind game.

Time for nap.

Sunny weather/ The best for rowing/ Kallang again/
Whole new attitude

I've come a long long way. From a struggling back rower trying to maintain for 1 minute to the second, always behind Za and now the pacer, with Hid. If anyone told me I would be the eventually be the pacer in Sept 2004, I would have scoffed. Never thought I would land up as I was today. I just challenged myself constantly. The thing is move up once you've felt comfortable at a level..

Being in a team sport tears down the novelty of hitting the finish line first in running. It's darn pointless. Though I still wanna try running with the guys sometimes. Better still for girls to do things together. Cause in the end, we're in the same boat.

I mentioned a whole new attitude. Personally, I was more enthusiastic. Despite back-to-back, sets-after-sets rowing. Power can never be compromised. So We dig. :)

The first few sets were in the small boat. Pacing with the guys. Then we headed to the pontoon where we switched to big boat. Ben set Hid and I as pacers. Hehe. Not so squeezy anymore. Did pickups then rowed abt full set to the sea. After the bridge, currents were great but that did not deter us. Just like adventure rafting, it adds on to the fun. Always have to dig paddle in... so as not to miss a stroke and catch air. Powered up and :D water break. Did one more of such set then head back. We went at 70 for the first set. Should relax and slow down... but seriously, I will try, with Hid. Hahah. To me, it's a race... make it or break it le. How to take own sweet time to pull?! But of course power won't be compromised. And Ben said as pacers, we need to pace ourselves too, cannot shaG out too early if not timing go hay-wired. For the love of the team and efficiency. Fitness level have something to do with it. That's probably why I move up... dont wanna be too shaG so soon... dont wanna die too early.

There's still time to experiment with the pace. For the love of the team. For the efficiency as a whole.

- Eyes hurting from the blinding sun while rowing.
+ When for medical checkup. Everything is fine.. except low blood pressure.
+ Lots of energy. Mommy prepared special lunch for me when she knows of low bp.
- Late nights contibute to low bp.
+ Used energy to row. Followed what Kylie and Ben said abt that particular problem.
+ Fruitful training. Had loads of fun. In small boat. In big boat. [Let the process be enjoyably hard]
+ Dinner with parents at makansutra located just beside race course.
+ Food = Yummilious. They already put up the shiny balls for dragon boat festival le.
+ Nick shen!!! Watched him sang oldies at the open area- esplanade. Got his signature and photo. He was smiley all the way. Stood real close to him. Supported him since '99. I'm delirious.

+ Dropped by to say hi to ade at haagen daz.

Tomorrow... 9.30am. There is a difference in rowing in the morning and late in the afternoon. I hope we can come up with more good sets. :)

Why is it I like the company of some people to the point that I indulge in it. That if I'm not with them.
I feel something missing. Can it be you the next time?

My China friend gives insightful thoughts on r/s. Very matured. 21 le ma. haha.
But dang, we need to catch up on our work.
Damned slack in class. Too tired to bother.
No choice. Chiong this weekend lor. Despite xtra trng.
Looking forward to Yoga therapy on Sunday evening. Wootsi.

Spent a considerable amt of time doing my nails then napped. Still need top coat!! And the next color I'm pining for is PASTEL GREEN! :D

Thanks jiL again for secret garden's album. Love this genre to bits. I've passed the age of rocking my arse off. 18 now and settling for ballads and instrumental pieces.

2.5 hrs of sleep "last night" makes me woozy. I lost my train of thoughts so often and get duper forgetful.
Overjoyed when school ended.
3pm will be going for German club meeting. Joining de committee :) Nap after that before self-training with Jane & Cerelia. :D
Triceps still hurt.. DOublE poWer sEa trnG again! Just like before SRR. This time, time spent rowing will be longer.
Need sleep. Need sleep. Need sleep.
-----------------------------------------------------

A Village of newbis landed last evening.
Ben mesmerized them as we did the usual.
I coached a pair and one eventually turned out to be potential-filled Left and another, looking-good Right.
Oversee 2 gals before them. They picked fast for Left.

So much more. Hyped up already. Just have to keep looking at the bigger picture and enjoy every moment of freedom. Live life as pleasantly as possible and do things with every of my given rights.

Will not be sleeping much i guess. Need to do assignment now.. for 8am class later. Need to be there punctual. I'll be looking forward to the END of school.

OUTKAST - Hey Ya~~ Hey Ya~~

I will not let another day elapse just like that.

Today is satisfactory cause I feel somewhat satisfied. I take comfort in my babes at school. I used to take them for granted.. but with me being more involved with DB, I feel the need to embrace r/s-wired people more than ever.
So it was ELP in the morning then lectures in the afternoon. Stoned at the track towards the evening. 6.10pm met Ain for Hatha Yoga. It was a test of endurance and patience yet I enjoy it. She likes it too, if it weren't that tiring for her. It works the abs and strengthens the back and thigh muscles. The plank and 30/60/90 degrees leg lifts were the most challenging. Sitting straight feels good now..

It's getting late. Feeling Stressed. Must be his mail.. sounds so sly. I hope the new blood will take up the challenge instead of shunning away.

WE SET THE PACE, WE WIN THE RACE.
This is an open declaration, a daring statement, and one of strong belief and confidence.

It originated from "We set the pace, you win the race" Standard Chartered Marathon ad on a bus. Mentioning about the marathon, it will be on 4 December 2005. Anyone on??I am :) The event will be launched in mid July.

Supposed to be studying German. (yea i went thru sweat and pain to get it back. im the only one in my manufacturing batch to do so). *kicks own butt*

How much you want it..
How much you strongly desire it..
Till that want becomes a need
Keep digging hard
And the drive will come
As second nature.

Meanwhile, I'm determined to up my EQ and HQ.
EQ: Emotional Quotient; HQ: Happiness Quotient.
I'm a sucker for happiness cause I'm everything it isn't.
My source is a book "You can be happy". Man.. I'm a sadist.

Number 1 thing I'm glad today. Downloaded Bleach Episode 30 from bit torrent while I was out. Took almost 3 friggin hrs. When I reach 32, I'll burn it into a cd and make a platinum cover for it. muahahaha. if ever..

I think the injury is not that bad la.. still can walk. It's just that it cant dry itself.. Thanks Thiru, Cecilia and Za for your concern... hehe. I'll take care... but no promises to superficial injuries.. those keep me going ;) You guys keep me going too :D

I got injuried again. Yea, in the second set pacing. I believe in Za more than myself.. She got nice shoulders ;) Injury is at third right toe. Jammed it under the footrest accidently cos i was still finding a proper spot to execute the strokes.

There goes any opportunity to even wear covered shoes.. not like I've ugly toes to begin with... but I can't run. And it will hinder mental stability. I'm already unstable. Ben said I broke the momentum... hmm....

Ai yo. I sound so negative. -_-; Dunno why... Today is a very dark day for me...

I see no light at the end of the tunnel. My firefly wasn't paid overtime. He appears to come only when I'm in a dire state.

Current Report: I'm in a love-hate relationship with food again.
Someone... eat me. Please. Taste my blood first yea? Before you spit me out.

Start over again, shall we?

To him:
Thank you for being there for me; for believing in me. Your concern touched me deep. :)
