Savvy music: La'Cryma Christi - Sister Mon Amour

So I recently found out that La'Cryma Christi is going to disband in January 2007.

That's the most upsetting news I've heard in some time. They were such a great band, they had unbelievably talented musicians and their chemistry was awesome which makes me wonder why they would have broken up in the first place. I don't see it being because they were still considered an indies band because they were well known, to the point of being on the cusp of mainstream popularity. Their music is eclectic, and at the same time they're something of an acquired taste; you either love them or hate them, there is no middle for them, but I think that's what made them. I think nowadays there are too many bands that have just one good song and the rest is crap, or you can pull some of their songs off a CD and turn it into your mp3 player or whatever and that's it, but with La'Cryma it would be a waste to mess with their CDs like that. Granted they may not make masterpieces everytime, but the entire album fits so well it's almost like there would be no point in taking one song.

I dunno, it just really sucks to see them go. Anyone who's ever listened to them usually discovered them through one random song and then went on a journey for the rest of their stuff. I managed to download their entired discography, with was a feat in itself. They just seemed so different from the other bands out there, and I think that may be what put them under. Being so unconventional I guess you could say, nobody really thought they'd go places.

Man, fuck that shit. As long as you're doing what you love, nothing else should matter. Nothing.

Almost done with chapter 3 of USSB. Hopefully I'll get a printer someday soon so I can scan my pics and run them through the course.

Savvy music: Hide - Leather Face

I'm not in a good mood.

I'm trying really hard to make my time count for something, and I barely have time for myself, and at the moment i'm feeling very underappreciated.

I've finished working an 8 hour shift outside pushing carts when the temperature conveniently went up to an uncomfortable heat (it's pretty uncomfortable when you're pushing carts for that long amount of time, trust me), and tomorrow I get to do it again. You'd figure after 3 years of working hard for this company that I'd get some kind of break from the usual prick-dom but it's not in the cards. It feels like everything's come in full circle. On top of this, I have to go to school early the next 3 days afterwards, with teachers I either don't understand due to their horrible fob accents, or don't teach because they're too busy waxing poetic about themselves, only to come home each day and either go to work or band practice, and then work on my homework for 4+ hours just to go to sleep.

Not to be disgusting, but right now I don't have time to wipe my own ass.

Right now is not a good time. I'm trying hard not to stress but the workpile just keeps building, and the outcome is not going to be positive if something doesn't give soon.

Savvy music: Creature Creature - Paradise

Well, we played our show on the 17th, and it kicked ass. A few mishaps, but we managed a great show and I had a fun time.

And then I find out we're playing another show. tomorrow. And then another show on Sept. 30 at Hummers. And another show on the 29th of October.

So busy...plus with school and work kicking my ass, I'm finding less time for that thing known as rest. It's only a temporary situation, but it's going to go on for a while now and man...if I don't get used to all of this hectic activity, I'm gonna destroy the world with my piratical powers.

For seriously.

Classes are okay though, the only class I'm hatin' right now would be Color Theory 'coz my teacher makes no sense with her thick ass accent and she's extremely harsh when it comes to grading. And since you don't know what she's saying, she could be doing anything to your grade, like...I dunno, stepping on it and then putting it in your sammich. And that's just wrong.

Chapter 3 is currently underway. I know, I haven't gotten around to inking and putting up chapter 2 of USSB, but I will in due time. Or, I won't. We'll see.

In other news, I'm getting my own computer so I may be on more often. I'm going to be using it a lot for school, but I'll also be using it for drawing purposes, like I am now just without the Tofu Bunny waiting for her turn to use it, and vice-versa.

Thinking of getting a new bass, too, but I'm currently lacking the funds for that at the moment. Nothin' too special, just something in blue. I'll probably name it Skye, for no particular reason. I'm thinking of naming the bass I have now Faith, since it's black and black is the color of uncertainty and the unknown.

Pretty fuckin' clever, huh?

Fuck, I can't believe I actually used that.butI did use this beautiful picture.

And man, Kazoo really stepped up her game with her latest drawing/coloring. It's just gonna make our future artwork that much better, I tell you right now man. Man. Maaaaaan. I'm bored.

'Ello everyone. Told you I'd be makin' a new layout. Hope everyone loves it~<3

So I've come down with some weird sickness and it's bothering the hell out of me. It feels like a stomach virus, but not that fierce since I'm still hungry. It's just that when I eat something, my stomach starts to hurt afterwards...not badly, but enough for me to know something's not right. Also, I've been feeling very light-headed/dizzy, and I keep running a fever. All in all, I'm fucked up.

Anything else? Oh, I had my hair dyed recently, but it didn't come out how I planned it to and I dunno why. I wanted a darker auburn, and it only grabbed onto some parts of my hair more than others. I'd like to say I bought cheap dye, but it's what I've been using since I've dyed my hair and it's worked for me then. I dunno, you can still tell it's light...maybe it just needs the sun to hit it for the full power to come out. Yes...the sun...

Been drawing a lot lately, gettin' them juices goin'. So far, so good...only one picture I didn't like so much, but it came out good so I'd rather not complain about it. Also, I'm thinking...I need a new computer 'coz I'm kinda tired of not talking to everyone like I used to. Feels like everyone's gettin' kinda distant; not purposefully, I understand we're all incredibly busy lately. Still...I miss everyone...
