[Sunday, January 12, 2003] Welcome Gir. About the DVD release of Invader Zim...at the moment it doesn't look likely. They're still showing the reruns on Nick, so that's a sign they might be negotiating something with the network to produce another season. At least, that's how I look at it. That's the least likely scenario though. You could always sign one of the million petitions online for a DVD set, but honestly, when's the last time one of those actually worked? I think Vasquez will probably do it eventually with commentary and extras and shit (much like Clerks: The Animated Series), after it's run is over and he recovers from the stupidity of the network. Since it's a 'kid friendly' show he could release a censored version and an uncut version (I'm sure he has some things to say about Nick and the stuff that they didn't allow him to put on the air). We can only home. I bet Jhonen has some choice words about some of the people at Nick. Maybe it's just me, but I'd love to hear him curse out Nick executives with Zim playing in the background. ze nny @ [05:07 p.m.]
