No seriously, is this really it?
It's in my blood
Sunday, November 30, 2003 02:56 p.m.
It's written in the ***stars*** I'm telling you! See for yourselves! hahaha too good, really. Too good.
The Simpsons make me happy, too.
Anyway, I've been meaning to say about this for a while now, but I apologize for some of the links on this page not working. Dunno why, I've been trying to fix'em but nothing seems to work. Some of the links only work by the last letter of the link or something. Maybe it's the Pitas ´__`
I just don't know what to do with myself...

Hey, it's a time of wallowing and introspectiveness for me. That's what the darkness [fyi not the british cock-rockers] does I guess. It's all about the future! All doors are open and everything is up for grabs for my generation in this time, yet I feel like the society expects me to be different than I am. I should set modern-traditional goals for myself like studying, having a stable career, starting a family and growing old. But that's not what I want! In the most common sense anyway. I wanna go places and see faces and just....live a life to remember. I don't wanna live a life based on my parents expectations, I wanna live it for my own will. Ah screw it, this is not the time and the place to ramble on about my 'angstiness' towards my questionmark-covered yet certainly bright future. Off to study francais pour my first test demain.
International Mexican Style

I just ate whole fucking bag of nachos and a whole fucking can of salsa. The salsa jar was my worst opponent of the year, I had to fight it for an hour before the lid budged, little by little. Oh what a magical moment...
Uhm, I should be studying for my swedish exam. But I'm not. Instead, I chose to read various The Strokes -articles from this awesome and very informative Strokes-blog. Then I got interested in the hipster lifestyle. Checked the word out on urban dictionary, which offered nothing new. Then I remembered this, Hipsters are annoying, and googled and found this hipster handbook with nice links. I shall get deeper into this when I have more time, but now I need to flee for de svenska boker.....yawn.
Good game, buddy!

Ahh. Check this out. 90% of my favorites and new interests in one long but readworthy article - and it actually gives huge credit to Starsailor and James Walsh instead of the usual dis.
*SigH* what a dream for a preppy-meets-rocknroll like me. Is everything I want in New York? And everything that's bad too? Maybe NYC is the coalition of all that is good and bad and in between - and I'm desperate to go. I can't believe my brother actually spent a whole summer there.
I like that Daily Candy site. I guess it's a lot about the lifestyle I idolize, it's fun, but it's depressive too in the "Why the heck am I living here in the backwoods?" -kind of way. Loved this definition of Fun:
1. Enjoyment, amusement. (Gee, I had so much fun at the dentist!) 2. Playful activity, characterized by utterances such as "whee-eee-e!" or "higher! higher!" 3. A word associated with parks, frozen drinks, late nights, and mediocre first dates (That was fun. We should do it again sometime.) 4. An activity often resulting in skinned knees, yanked hair, and raging hangovers. 5. A concept that, far too often, eludes the best of us.
Yeah. Had some Heineken and played a game of Kimble last night [houseparty]. Cute boys, but a boring night...I'm just gonna give up dating and stuff altogether for a while. Unless Nick Valensi comes up to me and asks me out for a night of romance unlimited ^__^
Stroked, you know it
Wednesday, November 12, 2003 08:27 p.m.
Hee. Got me a whole bunch of NME magazines today from the library, I'm nicking all the Strokes stuff now. I mean, no one else is gonna appreciate those posters and things as much as me, huh? ^__^
That NME is my kinda magazine anyway. It adores The Strokes and admit it too, but also my other favorites such as Coldplay, The White Stripes, Muse, Starsailor, Radiohead and so on. I'm hooked again!
Finally got to listen to this pretty little thing from Courtney Love and buddies. The song is called But Julian, I'm a Little Older Than You and it's about Julian Casablancas. Julian denies any shenanigans between the two of them, tho. Maybe it's just Courtney, we all know she's a bit of a fruity girl, nicely put.
Eek I just read that according to Chris Martin, Coldplay is going on a yearlong hiatus/recording break/something and their comeback is uncertain....I'm scared! Pleeease, guys, never stop making music. Not in twenty years anyway ~__~
Shizzolated'n'all, biatch!
Saturday, November 8, 2003 09:03 p.m.
Uhh my eyes itch >__<
Anyway, I had my blog shizzolated today with Snoop Doggs Shizzolator. Lol it was brilliant, you can translate any webpage on snoop-talk with it.
Today I was taught some swedish cursewords. The lesson of the day goes for you, too: Fitta means pussy and Kuk means dick. Just so you know :D
Ummm I'm really in the need of fresh air. It's full moon...I think I'll go check it out now.
“All Strokes members are born rock’n’roll, but some are more rock’n’roll than others…”
- Nick Valensi

Which Strokes Fanfiction Cliché Are You?
You are Nick's drug habit!
Your nose is probably dripping right now from the cocaine you just snorted, or maybe you're seeing some crazy shit from the acid. You might be having some crazy mood swings tomorrow when you come down, but you'll worry about that later. Or maybe you won't, maybe you'll just take something else. You always seem to be stoned, high, wasted or tripping out, but you're young so it's okay. Live it up a little.
Ha! They did it again!
Wednesday, November 5, 2003 06:30 p.m.
I'm talking about Red Hot Chili Peppers, of course. Their new single Fortune Faded is the bomb! Supremely catchy, I think. They might've lost the funk but they've still got the touch.
I've been browsing The Urban Dictionary, you should take a look, it's got some of the best stuff there explained. Had a lot of fun reading some of the explanations people have for "Fo shizzle my nizzle" :D.
Ahhh and that It's my life cover by No Doubt is rocking my stereo too. I'm thinking I should gather a list of songs titled It's my life. Right now I only have No Doubt, Talk Talk, Bon Jovi and Dr.Alban on that list but I'm sure there's more.
Aahhahahaha, this test made me split my sides and I'm still smiling for this was uncannily funny :D
The Strokes member who would most appreciate you is..
Julian Casablancas !!!
You didn't have the best childhood, but, that's ok! Julian didn't either. You're both so perfect together, but you both also have a drinking problem... Don't be surprised if you come home one day and he's swinging from the bedpost in the nude singing to the Doors 'L.A WOMAN'.... He's singing it to you!
Which Member of the Strokes Would Most Enjoy You as a Groupie? brought to you by Quizilla
One more meaningless thing, I got this bag last weekend, it's my new school bag and I'm so in love with it I had to find and link a pic here X) anyway it's corduroy, and from the vintage line of Björn Borg bags, cost 49€ [eek]. Yup that's it ^__^
There's a fever on the freeway
Tuesday, November 4, 2003 08:40 p.m.
I thought I'd better add a new muzakish entry. If you haven't heard any Starsailor, well you'd better [Recommended for fans of Muse, Elbow, Coldplay, or any indie/brit/acoustic/melancholic music].
Read more here. I very much loved their previous album, Love is here, and I've got high expectations on their newest, Silence is easy even tho the 1st single didn't really hit me [yet, anyway. The same thing happened with Coldplays 2nd album and now I love those songs]. My favorite songs from LIS were Alcoholic [ click here for a clip and here for a free download] and Fever [30 seconds right here and the free download here].
Now that I got the Starsailor campaign done, I might as well continue hyping The Strokes. Or the White Stripes...Man I think I'm gonna have to get Elephant. I loved Seven Nation Army, and now they got me hooked on I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself and The Hardest Button to Button. I love the video for 'button' [See 7NA and THBTB videos here] and in 'just don't know' that part when Jack sings "like a summer rose needs the sun and rain I need your sweet love to beat love away" rocks.
Yeah back to the Strokes. It's Nick Valensi time now. He's my daydream. Oh I still love Jules too but oh my gosh, just look at him, my gawd...! [Beware, that image is rather huge, but the bigger the better ^__^]
Enough with the rambling. It's time to quit for today.
Hungover
Saturday, November 1, 2003 08:44 p.m.
I sat all night last night upstairs, we were having a get-together with everyone who lives in this house (a house of 4 apartments). The wine was flowing and the stories were entertaining so it truly was great. I might be cheating myself tho, everyone there was a lot older than me and even if I felt like I fit in pretty swell, the truth probably is different.
Anyway, it's been a deep dark hungover day but one with plenty of activities. I saw a friend, visited the cemetary with mom and grandma and then went to grandma for coffee. It's late evening already yet I still feel a little out of it. Roknroll maan.
Bram Stokers Dracula on tv soon, can't wait!
