Nick. Nick Valensi. What is the place that sprouts such beautiful people? Ah, NYC.
The video for Reptilia & screenshots here, thanks for The Strokes LJ community!
Nick, oh NICK; may I just bask in the glow of thy perfection?

She loves it...I can see it in her eyes

N*E*R*D has put yet another fantastic tune out...She wants to move is strangely addictive. I want to move.
I wanna collect a cd-ful of great acoustic tunes. Submit suggestions on the tagboard if you come up with some that fit my theme. Here's what I have so far:
Incubus - Mexico
Muse - Unintended
Starsailor - Tie up my hands
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Road trippin'
Ryan Adams - Wonderwall [Oasis cover]
Travis - Baby one more time [Britney cover]
Green Day - Good riddance [Time of your life]
The White Stripes - You've got her in your pocket
Hmm so that's what I came up just now. I'd love to include a good one from Radiohead, maybe. Yeah so hit me with ideas if you please.
There was nothing to fear and nothing to doubt

Ok. I must be the laziest, most boring blog-keeper ever known to exist. Sowwies. I'll promise to try to be more active... Anyhoo, I figured I'd just tell what's up with me since I more and more frequently try and steer away from the mentioned subject.
So life's been changing. I guess it's been a time for a metamorphose in many ways, which began last summer. I just didn't really notice it until things really started to happen after my birthday. I switched my main circle of friends [that sounds a lot more awful than it really is], turned 18, found new people and music, changed attitudes, lost dreams, got new ones. How deep and profound and introspective.
Oh yeah the guy I was talking about earlier? I thought it wouldn't work out but actually it did. There's something about him that makes me unsure but still makes me come back for more. And since I can't see no end for this, it scares me. I'm not made for a relationship... or I'm just being a chicken.
It looks as if spring is coming. The sun is shining real bright and it warms, but the frost is also biting down. This time of the year always brings out certain things in me: Retrospectiveness [I get really nostalgik and think about everything I've ever experienced], Longing for an adventure [Want to go somewhere far away] and something of a fresh ambition towards life.
GOOD SONG: Please Please Please by Shout Out Louds. If you wont take it from me, take it from Julian Casablancas. He's loving it, I hear.
Also, listen to The Pyramid Song by Radiohead and Red by Elbow. I'm gonna go watch Newlyweds....

Yeehaw, this morning the postman brought me a nice little package straight outta NYC. Here's a list of all the promo material I got from The Smoker's Room:
- 6 pins [The Strokes, The White Stripes, The Mars Volta, Iggy Pop, Ima Robot, Ted Leo/Pharmacists]
- 6 stickers [The Strokes, The Raveonettes, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Cooper Temple Clause, The Dandy Warhols, Phantom Planet]
- 2 cards [Kings of Leon, Phantom Planet]
- 1 giant poster of Room on Fire cover
Very very pleased indeed. Otherwise things are still looking majestically fine, and the rest of the week is going to be so busy. There's the big dance thing on Friday, there are the celebrations of those about to end high school, there are the dates with the new guy. Yaay.
Atchoo; I'm not actually sure if I'm too much into Interpol yet. I think their music is a bit hard for me to get in. Mellow yet intense, kinda echo-y, but all the songs sound too much alike...oh well maybe my head'll turn in time.

Whoa what a life we've been receiving this year. Not bad at all. Today I learned that my msn friend from Paris, France, Sofia went to a free Pete Doherty [of The Libertines] show last night and ended up singing Velvet Underground's After Hours with Mr.Libertine himself and having him applaud her at the end of the song! They also took pictures and a follow-up show is happening tonight, who knows what tonight will bring. Good job, Sofia. Wish I was there!
USA, you should've shielded your virgin eyes from bad Janet and worse Justin. Come on, it's only a breast!
I went on a date last night. He looks gorgeous, listens to the same music as me, likes the same movies, tv shows, everything. This cannot lead anywhere.
I still love Take me out with a passion. In addition, The history lesson of the day: Who was Franz Ferdinand?

One more thing; 20 new tour dates but none on the continent of Europe? Why you do this to us?
Got that feeling I'll see you later

Where did January disappear?
Time flies when it's good. And boy, is everything good right now. Great. I'm kinda expecting something to knock me down....so, fingers crossed things flow swell.
RANDOMNESS of today!
Site of the day:
Combovers
Classic song of the day:
Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden
The measure of Hottness of today:
Francis. I like him. For those of you who've seen the "document" Pretty Boys, Francis is the english boy who shared a room with the ever so lovely Kelly Kreye.
Thing I kinda like today:
Good Luck by Basement Jaxx. I like some parts of it. There's the C-part [Well I think it's the c-part] and in some weird way it reminds me of spring. And I'm currently feeling like spring.
Current TV obsession besides Big Brother UK (today):
Rich Girls on MTV. Socialite life would be so much fun.
