I'm just way too tired

No seriously, is this really it?

It's the end of the year as we know it

Final entry of 2003 - Better make it short and sweet then. The page will be archived soon so no-one will probably even read this *__*

So, I'm going to change years with a tight grip around the neck of a bottle. Seems to be a universal phenomena, that one. Combined with loud rock'n'roll music and good folks, the year will hopefully get to a fine start.Anno Domini 2003 was good for me I think. Music made itself even more important to me and I grew in many ways except pants sizes. Also, after this year I have seen 2 out of my 4 top bands live - now that's an accomplishment in this country, especially when none of my favorites is finnish.

People make lists at the end of the year. I thought I'd try and list some music videos that got me running in the front of the television when I heard the first notes of the song. OK I really can't explain the G-Unit thing tho...I just can't.
Pitas is being an ass again and won't let me link without messing the whole thing up so here goes with a cut and paste linkage ok?

Screws. IE failed me and I had to re-start when I had just finished writing a truly breathtaking entry. Yall must settle with an ordinary one now, gee.

Anyway, check this out, I made my first wallpaper. I scraped it together with Microsoft Photoeditor and trusty old Paint since I don't have any of those nice photoshop programs yet. The texts are there for a reason of their own but that's a whole another story.

I have happily fallen in infatuation with the new singles from Eskobar and Travis. You can listen to Love Strikes and The Beautiful Occupation on their sites, you should do so. But here is the song which brilliance I've been obsessing over for the last few days, Post Modern Girls by The Strokes and Regina Spektor. I've heard the song will be the b-side for The Strokes' next single Reptilia and they've been doing it live on several shows. Regina is the girl suspected of dating Julian, altho no one seems to know the truth behind all the rumours. There are some lovely song clips on her site, pretty and soothing music. Recommended.

Mmm, tasty young blood. I was supposed to link these high school pics of the dashing Mr. Valensi a few weeks back, sowwies for being so late. Everyone has probably seen them already ^__^

2 thousand and 4 is running our way faster than...umm, most things. Do yourself a favor and see if the stars will be on your side next year...or not.

I think I mentioned I've been really into reading blogs lately? Well, there's stuff even NYCbloggers can't offer me. For example, Belle de Jour's blog blew my mind. She's a London call girl, fantastic writer, and she makes her 'job' sound so ordinary and no-big-deal it's almost unbeliavable. I wonder if it's fiction?

Red christmas light and The Wine Stripes

Ho ho ho and Merry Christmas. I hope everyone got what they wished for, I know I did. Got that new portable cd-player. Niko's bass sounds unearthly divine when tripled. Also, my brother surprised me with speakers for my computer! He's the best. Then I got some money and that J.Lo perfume; now don't laugh at me but I actually love how it smells [FreshSexyClean is what the ads said]. For myself I finally bought Elephant by The White Stripes and I'm gonna get some more cd's very soon hopefully.

For every strokester, you must check these sites if you haven't done so already:
Every Band Needs a Romano
The Strokes Gayness
The boys looking fine in Copenhagen on 16th December '03

If you decide to go through the Matt Romano -fansite, I strongly suggest you take a look at the "slideshow"...Isn't he luvvly... And I wanna thank Kaisanen for the last link.

One more eye candy right here, Jack White's lovely mugshot. Love it. Naughty boy Jack, hope you don't end up behind bars.

Sorries for the silly entry title. I've got some red wine stripes going down my wall due to a glass being knocked over last night. I can be such a klutz somedays. Or just too enthusiastic...

Is there someone else who listens to Adam Green? I'm completely fascinated by his music and adorable looks. Aw and look how cute he is here with our beloved, drunk-off-his-ass Julian C.! Gotta love those lips, Mista Green.

WINTER HOLIDAY MADNESS!

I wanna get new cd's. But they cost too much. I'm gonna get Kings Of Leon for sure. And then I need to choose between Adam, The Libertines and The White Stripes. What do you think? Oh and both newish albums from Ryan Adams I'd also like. Good for me, dad gave me cold hard ca$h for christmas. Money can buy love.

I also want these Converse two-toned honeys. Gah, they're pretty. Pink and black never looked so right together.

Besides taking up on fanfic-reading, which can be real fun [everyone is free to suggest me some good strokesfanfic], I'm now hunting down interesting blogs/journals/whatevers too. This is what I read yesterday. She's 19, lives in NYC and her life's interesting. Oh and she went to high school with Nick Valensi. More stuff like that my way, thanks, while I'm still waiting for my own life to start *__*

Proud owner of a coughing6pak

Yah, here I am all fevered up and coughing my lungs out for the 3rd day in counting. I'm convinced all that expectoration [yay, that's a new word for me] is soon starting to form a nice female sixpack for me, heehee. And did I mention the niagara [runny]nose actions that made themselves known today? Uhhuh, at least I get to stay home from school and sleep all day long.

Some days ago I found out my blog looks the way it's supposed to on my computer only. Or something like that. Bleh, next time I'll use some ready-made template...

I found some Strokes-pleasure to keep me alive for the next few flu days. Strokeslove is such a beautiful thing *sigh*.

Jack looks so kinky here. I love it.

You Know Yer Indie. Let's Sub-Categorize.
Fun, I like these kinda tests. Yall should do a search at Quizilla for tests that have the word 'Indie' in the quiz title. Anyhow, übershockingly [incredible sarcasm right there] my result was New York City Trendster. Come on, if you take a look at that test and know me at all, you might guess that result couldn't have been avoided...

FuckkKx. The Strokes did their thing in Copenhagen, Denmark last nite. My heart is aching eternal pain and my soul is crying them a bittersweet equivalent of the Nile.

Look how relatively close [to Finland, that is]! I'm anticipating a concert review. I almost hope they sucked.

Godfuckingkuntdamnhell. Fuck. Fuck. Fuuuck.
I need to re-design my future once more.

So, NYC needs no more writers. Fuck. See, I had it all mapped out. First, after graduating high school with top marks in finnish and english, I'd proceed to a University and get the 2 year Master's degree in Journalism. Then I would give it my best shot and try to get in The University of New York, Department of Journalism. And then I would strive, strive, strive. And I would make it. And I know I'm build of the gonna-make-it -material. But still, that article put my dream through the shredder for a moment.

Okay. Plan re-newed. I'm gonna get my Journalism master's degree. And then I'm gonna stick right here in Finland [Huge Sigh]. And when the time is right - NYC, I'm coming, and you want me to be there!

Your Secret Lover is Nick!
Which Stroke Is Your Secret Lover?

Your Secret Lover is Nick!

Dear Nick is a bit of a slut, but you've got him for now -- are you, by any chance, blonde? Chances are you met at a party, and spend all of your time continuing to party. Nothing saying love like sharing a line. Not a bad existence, if you ask me. This should definitely be fun while it lasts.

Just went to see Love Actually. It left me with a warm feeling, which is always nice. Recommended.

Fucked if I know

I'm obsessed with that phrase, yeah. Don't ask me why.

I'm feeling so weird right now. Like, really tired, lacking something, a bit sick yet kinda content. Also, you know how you sometimes listen to random stuff on the radio or are having fun with amigos, and you suddenly realize how you still remember all the words to the silliest hits and songs you loved way back in elementary school? This crossed my mind after just a moment ago having a hideous n*sync flashback with It's gonna be me on mtv. Gawd.

Okay so finally I figure out that that one song is Jet's Are you gonna be my girl?. You know, that song...4,5,6 come on get your kicks you don't need no money when you look like that do ya honey or something along those lines. I think it was in one of those MTV commercials. Catchy yea and a "good times" song but nothing like The Strokes. Haha well said, after hearing only one song from the Jet boys and being completely soaked by the infectious nyc coolness.

But Jet is not the only thing that I need to catch up with. There are The Libertines, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Datsuns, Not to mention all your basic neogaragees The Vines, The Hives and so on. And Ryan Adams gets a honour mention.
And many many many more.

Yes, I am new to the scene. Do not judge me.

My comp is making a weird little noise every now and then. I'm worried for it's health ´__`

Uhhuh. It's a Vodafone Live -commercial. It just came. [Where that Jet song can be heard]. Then it came for the 2nd time, and lo and behold, for the 3rd time on the same commercial break. Rock'n'roll, MTV!

God, I gasped when I saw the result image. Like, I had no idea whatsoever.

take the nyu type quiz.
and then browse around mewing.net. because laura is cool.

Hee. I did a new layout. Very basic as usual. I dunno yet if I like this one, let me know what you think.

I wanna share with everyone that I love olives. Green, black, I don't care. The black ones have softer taste, tho.

This breaks my heart. MOM I WANNA GO!

Tests, just fer kicks. And I didn't have anything useful to write today. Whoaa! I passed maths! I'll celebrate that with a green oranic olive that still has the stone in it. And with this picture...
give me some sugar, boys [I wish I was your neighbour].
