I scream, you scream, we all scream for... no, not really.

I promised myself I wasn't going to write about how I got into a car accident (I'm fine, car is only semi-drivable) and how I feel as if one more little problem is going to send me right over the edge right now... and then I notice that chapter 30, which did load when I checked it after posting, is apparantly missing.

The link to the chapter on my site is here for now. I'll try to figure out what the hell is going on in a few.

twiggins -Friday, October 12, 2001,06:59 p.m.

LHR chapter 30 is finally up on FFnet. I'm going to not do anything tonight except feed my dog and watch Moulin Rouge again. Twiggins.

twiggins -Thursday, October 11, 2001,12:42 p.m.

OH MY GOD the tastiness!!!!!!!!!! (bows to Lilack, wanders off to weep in the corner)

twiggins -Wednesday, October 10, 2001,05:06 p.m.

Petra: Check out the Megatokyo beer steins!

Me: (madly trying to learn katakana) Yes, they're very nice.

Petra: (glare) :: performs one handed back-flip author grab :: LOOK AT THE STEINS.

Me: They're... steiny?

Petra: You're not getting the picture. I. WANT. A. STEIN.

Me: Okay, okay. I bought Marshall Banana to keep all you figments happy. I bought the FLCL artbook to shut you up last time... AND the Haruhara Haruko action figure. I draw the line at steins. (wow, that rhymed)

Petra: No no no. I don't want a stein with them on it. I want one with ME on it... with one of those nifty hats, and those scandanavian short shorts.

Me: (sigh) No one else wants a stein with you on it.

Petra: How is this my problem?! It's all about product demand, right?! (she's frighteningly good at economics, really) Stop sucking, get cracking on something the peeps want to see and BRING ME A STEIN!!!

Me: I don't suppose I can bribe you with single-malt as usual?

Petra: (evil grin) Not until I get my stein.

I don't care if you all ph33r my figments or not, I do it enough for everyone.

Mobyfication: i hate our soap dispenser. but as part of a larger group of things that ejaculate flowery pink shit on me.

Mobyfication: i don't know of any other things that do

Mobyfication: but chances are i'd hate them too

Mobyfication: that was almost a poem

TwigBrnch: lol

TwigBrnch: don't fuck muppets

TwigBrnch: just as a word of warning

Mobyfication: OH GOD

Mobyfication: you're a horrible person

TwigBrnch: yes

Mobyfication: just so we had that established

TwigBrnch: I understand

TwigBrnch: I'm putting this on my blog, you know...

Mobyfication is also SpookyMufn, and I bow before her. : )

... and i somehow forgot to mention my sudden and unshakable fixation on Homnucleus from Shadow of Destiny. He... he's just really fecking HOT, and he's got the best damn voice I've ever heard in a video game OR anime.

I feel a bad fanfic coming on.

17 minutes to Read or Die 2. Go Ann's connection, GO!

twigwaii!!!!Sunday, October 7, 2001,10:52 p.m.

I have seen the next great thing in anime, and it is called Read or Die!!! Ann downloaded the first episode just now and it /is/ the second coming of Cowboy Bebop (cool plot, cool characters, cool music, etc.)

The main character could very well be Ann or I, with a superpower that ought to be dumb but in context is SUPER BAD ASS!!! The show follows suit, a strange sort of quirky James-Bond-meets-Lupin-meets-current-day-steampunk-with-clones-and-superpowers-and-a-pantswetting-US-president. OH MY GOD THIS IS SO COOL!!!! It also has a budget, which is my main problem with the Sayuki series (I mean, just how many pan shots can one anime /have/!?) See it, watch it, live it, love it. My god. Read or Die. X D

In other Twig news.

Lilack! I've been here... er, that is, as much as I've been anywhere. X P It's been rough with school and all, and I've been sick since the last time I posted, and really exhausted. YES, you MUST see FFX if only for that blastball sequence. IT IS SOOOO COOL, and if you don't want to buy the game or wait, there are places to get the FMV's online. IT IS SO COOOOOOL!!!! ... but not as cool as a blog layout from you would be. (hee hee) I eagerly await your return to the net. : )

SpookyMufn is a god. We IM frequently, she recently visited Ann and I via the good old-fashioned telephone, and she drew me two exceptionally cool pictures for Whisper, one of the first Dominion that is BEYOND HELLA COOL and the second a stick-figure cast call that makes me double over with giggles. Also, she gave me two links to insanely wierd stuff, which you can find here and here. I don't know where she finds this stuff but it is great.

Wind-san? I hope you're ok. I've gotten out of my massive amounts of homework by just refusing to believe it exists. : D It works! Do you like ICO? Flidget said you did! OMG I LOVE ICO!! ICO ICO ICO!!! (be happy you can't see me doing the happy ICO dance). Ico! Yorda! My god I LOVE IT!!!! I would so do fanfic if I had any idea where to go... I want a sequel, I want a trilogy... ICO!!!!

(ears perk up) Flidgie is drawing chibis? HOOORAY!!!

Ah, and we now have three of the five Grand Conjunction named. Lunar is the tiny god, Flidgie is the uber-muse, and Ann is the manga pimp. Sadly, unless Wind just hasn't told me yet, she and I are sadly as yet unnamed. : * (

Lunar writes me yummy one shots where Cassiel acts like a total prat. : D Then she sends me links to other lovely things.... wai wai wai wai it's a good night.

Oh, and Marshall Banana (my cheap laptop) is so old (but still so cool - IBM 701c) that his battery will cost me less than $100.

Who wants to touch me?

I SAID WHO WANTS TO TOUCH ME!?

Hee hee. I have about 60 odd pages of LHR, with only a few more scenes to write. Work on Whisper is also progressing smoothly, as I have lost the subtle mental connection between graduation and giving a damn about my homework. Ann and I also decided that if I don't get a haircut I will soon have a mullet (and there was a distinctive "I will tie you to the bed and cut it myself before I let that happen" gleam in her eye.)

... and just for the record, I do realize that some pretty heavy stuff started happening today, and I am somewhat afraid to switch on the news. Unfortunately, whatever I think or say will do absolutely nothing to change the situation at the present time, so I can do little more than go on with my life, and hopefully make someone out there smile just for a moment, or at least keep them busy while they should be working : ) .

DDR mix 5 is coming... and Read Or Die RULES!!!

twiggins-Monday, October 1, 2001,06:50 p.m.

let me once again state the ludricrousness of having a fifty year old white man teach a course on hip-hop culture.

Mmm, mom just brought me Chex mix (just like the recipie on my site). Wow, this will be gone in two days.

twigargh!Monday, October 1, 2001,12:03 p.m.

Does anyone know what the link to Natsumi's blog is? It never let me on, but now I can reach one of her /archive/ pages...

I'm going crazy, and I'm just getting over being sick.

Bitchwidget is new, and good.

twiggins!Friday, September 28, 2001,10:04 p.m.

I FINALLY PASSED PARANOIA!!!!!

droooooool.Thursday, September 27, 2001,08:06 a.m.

Final Fantasy 10 is very very very very very very very very pretty. REALLY pretty. One of the guys at club with a Japanese machine set it up for us last night, and there's a place in the game where you can look at all the FMV's you've played past. We watched a few from what I'd guess would be a third through the game, Tidas playing his sport and that kind of thing.

It was terribly pretty.

I mean, we all know it's not going to have a plot, or anything unexpected, and yes his outfit still looks pretty dumb and YES the main villain has antler hair. YES, worse than Ashley Riot's. Far, far worse.

But still, the FMV's are REALLY REALLY REALLY COOL. Example, Ann, Heather and I:

Ann: O.O

Heather: O.o "We are so buying a PS2 when Ann leaves with hers."

Me: o.O "... can you imagine what a redone 7 will look like?!"

Needless to say, I play RPG's for the dual purpose of 1) good plot, and 2) pretty. I have no problem sacrificing 1 for 2 when necessary (*cough cough FF8 cough cough*), and Square is one of the only companies I know that can do solmnety and make it seem actually solemn and not hilarious (*cough cough CLAMP cough cough*).

FFX is dead pretty. Even if Tidas runs like Cid.

...rain.Wednesday, September 26, 2001,08:03 a.m.

It's raining again.

cold rain.

Every morning.

Since sometime last week.

I haven't seen the sun either.

Don't come to Michigan, ever. If someone tells you it is beautiful, they are lying.

Time to drag myself off to class.

In the rain

Cold rain.

ICO!!!!!!!

hurt me, i apparantly like it -Monday, September 24, 2001,02:31 p.m.

you know, if I'd have had just a teense more inspiraton, I would have done a Ny-Quil layout, because - in the words of my gods Denis Leary and Lewis Black :

"Ny-Quil comes in that original green death fucking flavor. Ny-Quil Ny-Quil Ny-Quil we love you, you giant fucking Q"

and

"Ny Quil only comes in red and green, because it's the only stuff on earth that tastes like RED and GREEN!!!"

It's really been a Lewis Black kind of a day. Twiggins.

help! -Sunday, September 23, 2001,03:51 p.m.

Hi all. : )

Well, yeah, by the lack of postings/mailings/updates, we can all concur - I did it to myself again, and got way too much on my plate.

... and in a week or so, we have to write all our tests and quizzes completely in hirigana, and apparantly lesson four is when people "start dropping like flies" or so says someone in my class.

The only benefit is that my class is on the third floor, so if things go badly, I can most likely leap from the window and quite possibly take out the Wells Hall Preacher if my aim is any good. : ) (WHP = annoying generic fundamentalist Christian who likes to tell us all we're going to hell - why he hangs out at Wells Hall of all places...?)

Oh, and if anyone out there heard a panicked shriek a few days ago, I'm sorry, that was me. I was knocking down wasps nests in front of our door and accidentally tapped an occupied one. It was no big deal, all the bees were pretty frozen what with the sudden cold snap and all, but I'm... a wuss. : )

Lilack? If you've got an extra blog layout, I'd LOVE to take it off your hands (big, psycho grin) You see what happens when I'm left to my own devices? Blogs like this! Help! : )

(P.S. Sorry I haven't written... "write mail" has been on the list of things to do for about... a month. My tattoo, though, is an all-black design of the indian shooting the star from the Tootsie Roll wrapper. Why? I don't know : ) )

Lunar, I have no doubt there will be tons of bitchy Cassiel... I've got a lot of lecture classes this week. : ) I'll try to finish at least the first part of Dragon's Dowry too.

... and if anyone out there wants to see what a PRETTY weblog looks like, go check out Strawberry Pain's.

erk -Sunday, September 23, 2001,01:35 p.m.

Yes, by god, I realize that it's ugly, but believe me when I say I'm a twig burning at both ends. : )

testing -Sunday, September 23, 2001,01:32 p.m.

testing?
