Sunday, October 28, 2001 Two Bitchwidgets. Two pair of wings, one white angel, one blue fairy. Two pair of trouser socks. Five-and-a-half square feet of linolieum flooring. One copy of Shakka Zombie's "Shiroi Nani No Akai" on RealPlayer.
Life does not get any better than this.

Conversation:
Me: "You see, this cat hat would look really good in it's natural environment - on a tiny Asian. (see: Wen) On me, it just looks like... I dunno, kinda Minnesota, kinda Sakura..."
Ann: "Oh, you mean like "Fargo: The Anime"
Me: O.o
Goodnight everybody.

Heather has AIM now (she is the one with the hitokiri-eight-point-finger-flick-of-death) Happy goodness.
Actually overheard by Ann, Heather and Joe while at Joe's house for steak dinner:
One of Joe's dogs: *whine*
Me: No.
Dog:*whine*
Me: So anyway... (promptly flips fork underneath 1/2 of steak onto floor because I am supernaturally clumsy)
Dog: ?!
Me: NO! MEAT! DOG! MINE! AAAGH! (promptly proceeds to wrestle with dog for steak)
Joe: Did he eat it?
Me: (with much more pride than necessary) No. (holds up steak.)
Joe, Ann, Heather and Dog: O.o
I have now managed to embarrass myself two, possibly three times at Joe's house, the most impressive example of which I will simply refer to as "Neopolitan, YAY!" and refuse to elucidate. Gah, I should never go out in public.
... and Ann said I write the "James Cameron of WAFF fic" after reading what I called a light, fluffy piece of romance fiction that is currently frozen in the midst of an attempted homicide. ( Lunar, you know what fic I'm talking about, and I'll be writing more of it as soon as Whisper stops kicking my ass.)
Whee!

I wish Frank would write a book on guns and armaments for those of us who write but know little more about weapons than which way it gets pointed as so not to shoot yourself. (pointy end goes toward the enemy... hee hee). There is money to be made in this... a need to be filled in the writing reference section.
It would be a cheat book, like the collection Ann has on Private Detectives and Body Trauma and all that sort of thing, for those of us who just want to know what kinds of guns bodyguards *yes, I mean Guardians, but I'm trying to keep this non-story specific : )* usually use, or how many bullets would be in the clip, the sort of information that seems rather obvious but that isn't very easy to seek out, or know, especially when you have no friends/family who hunt or shoot or understand firearms.
... and no, I have not time, money or transportation to seek out a firing range or an instructor, unfortunately. I like to be a knowledgable writer, but there's a logical limit.
Cheat books on pointy weapons and nifty foreign phrases *see - spellbooks* would be equally appreciated. Hell, I wouldn't mind a short list of British/Scottish slang, as Ebby seems hell-bent on being British and Snow keeps nagging me for a shot at being Tarcye's significant other. I know someone out there has the knowledge... so sell it! : )

It was not the WTC towers in the Cowboy Bebop movie. The movie is set on Mars. Earth was decimated by continually falling meteors after the Gate accident and god, I really am a pathetic geek.
Now, in Read or Die on the other hand... that /was/ the NYC skyline, complete with pre 11th towers. Amazing how things change.
... and read Ann's blog about anime night, 'cause she wasn't lazy like me and wrote down what happened... all I can add is that I love Sai's voice so much in HnG... gah, animated Sai. It's like a little vicarous Sebastian in a bad hat.
Wheee. Five days of getting absolutely nothing accomplished. And now it's snowing. Before Halloween. And now I rush off to buy a book on mmnemonic devices for learning Kanji.
Hugs to all. Tis a good day.

Leareth-san? Noir is very much like, of all things, Sailor Moon, in that there is a "monster of the week," except in Noir it's usually target of the week, and so there's always a fairly decent body count brought about by some usually nifty fight scenes... and the thing the little assassin does with the necktie in the first episode...?! Outta sight.
The music also rules.
Plot? What plot?!
You are also responsible for my current ruing of the fact that all the really, insanely talented fic writers end up writing mostly in genres I don't read. Darn you and your mad skillz. : )
Here's that picture Spooky gave me, at least until I can update my page. Gah. Double gah. It's just beautiful.

SpookyMufn (a.k.a Mobyfication a.k.a the god who rocks my world) has just sent me one of the most gorgeous pieces of Shinji/Kaworu fanart I've ever seen. I don't even know what to do with it, except sit here and look at it and drool.

You know, it says something when you live with the person who designs one of the web comics you read and you still go check their comic in the morning. @.0
... and read their blog.
Lunar do you need a statue in your honor? Or I could go paint the official "Rock" on campus in your image, that the world may know of your greatness? Thanks again for hosting the site, now all we need to do is figure out a way for Spooky to access it without actually using her computer (when I left her last night her monitor had just done "something"). (sigh) Is it obviously a sign of universal greatness when there are so many obstacles? : )
Once again, a moment in Megatokyo passes without any actual plot development. I'm not going to say it's fan abuse *coughcoughhackCLAMPcough* 'cause I'm not exactly paying to read it.
Little Angel of Conscience: "You didn't exactly pay for the OAV either... you watched it over Ann's shoulder."
Me: Shut up.
I need to see the Ah My Goddess movie Spent Casings blogged about. I really do like Belldandy quite a bit.
Strange... all fic updates involve music.
Whisper - got "Alive" by "P.O.D"... usually not one for the popular music, but 's good to listen to going into this fight scene. : )
ALHR - cut and pasted the lyrics to "Bachelorette" for a scene that nobody asked for and that accomplishes very little. Damn, and if I'd have known about the "Shera is Lucrecia's sister" theory sooner, I could have written it into the story somewhere.
Vincent: You mean, I wouldn't have gotten Yuffie booty?
Me: You might have gotten Shera booty.
Vincent: but... booty would have been got, right?
Me: Of course, I always look out for my bishy vampires. Gimme a hug. (glomp!)
K&P - Okay, Petra's /still/ dancing around to "Hindi Sad Diamonds" from Moulin Rouge. It's been three days. I knew seeing that movie again was a mistake.
Tarcye: Hey, Tomb Raider's at the free campus movies this weekend!!!
Me: No. No matter how hard you try, you are /not/ Angelina Joile.
Tarcye: Grrrr.
... and my horrible thought of the day. What if having her code the blog took Lunar away from Sydney and Ashley reunion nookie?!
NOOOOOOOO!

Along with Ann's unfortunate run-in with an evil, non-insulated frying pan, subsequent periods of bitchiness by yours truly have managed to upset the delicate balance of Heather within the household.
Much groveling and supplication with Ruroni Kenshin and Ayashi No Ceres AIM icons will be done.
I swear to god, it's like the last 48 hours of my life... no, make that the last week plus a few days have been nothing more than condensed suck-in-a-can. I mean, everyone else has been downright amazing, Lilack for her super sugoi layout (kick that virus and come back to us soon, Lilack!!!), Lunar for a sweet ficlet, Flidget-muse for her excellent chibis, and Spooky also for her incredibly amazing art, not to mention all the time most of the above have spent listening to me bitch or play "slap-fight" over Angel Sanctuary (hehehe sorry Spooky : ) ) I mean, really, for god's sake, I've been off the beat for forever and a day, and I'm really tired of being in such a damn cranky crabby crappy ass mood! In the immortal words of that annoying disembodied voice on DDR, I need MORE RHYTHM!
Gah. Well, as of 12:30 pm (more like 12:20 if we shut the library down fast) I am officially over with the week of hell, and tomorrow is the start of a beautiful new day. Damn it, that's it... I just can't be pissed off for this long. Francis Begbie has taken me over for a week now, and it's well past time for a goddamn exorcism.
Twig out.

Hey Lunar, the very end of Dragon's Dowry is up. It's only like, one paragraph more than what you read last time... but it does end the chapter. One down, one to go. : )

I could rant for about an hour about the loss of Halloween as one of the best holidays we had as kids (and apparantly from Ann we in Michigan had the most mercenary tactics - pillowcases full of candy, anyone?) I mean, it's been a long time coming that people have been wussing out (at least in our neighborhood) letting kids go door to door and doing these stupid "mall" trick-or-treats instead... now there was an article in the USA Today about even not saying "trick or treat" anymore, and everyone's all in a big panic what with anthrax and everything.
Goddamn wholesome holidays. Bah.
In other news.
Flidgie is off doing many cool things. It is only the prequel to much tasty chibi goodness to come.
Wind-san, happy beleated birthday. : ) !
Lunar, yeah you had to drive a long ways for the book, but you have a picture of you with the man himself! I'd say it was worth it.
Now onto a double shift at work, full of school-reading goodness. Bleah.

No no no, Lunar, if I'm going to have a Tarzan look-alike, he will be my boy Brendan Frasier. He was so K&P Brendan in "The Mummy Returns" which didn't suck as much as it ought to have.

Lunar, whilst I agree Henry Rollins would not a good Zack make (and yes, the ox-neck is a part of that) I still consider him way fecking hot. I was thinking, how about a poofy-haired Casper Van Dien or Robbie Williams?
