Approaching Armageddon at an extremely low curve.
Courtesy of today's AOL News:
President Bush asked the public on Saturday to make the holidays a ``season of service,'' promoting volunteer work and help for those in need.
Mindful of that message, some lawmakers took issue with Bush's decision late Friday to cut scheduled pay raises for nonmilitary government workers, including the 170,000 who will be transferred to the new Homeland Security Department.
Remember to volunteer, the meal that you serve will probably be your own.

Okay, so I'm up, but I did hear a Primus song on the way from the grocery store, and any day that starts with Primus is never bad.
Getting groceries at 6 a.m. is a good thing anyway. No lines.
Twig put her glasses on@07:51 a.m.... and yes, we are six hours and change into Thanksgiving, the only holiday we have really centered entirely around food.
Fat polish chicks, join with me, prepare to get your eat on.
Twig put her glasses on@06:36 a.m.On that note, Thorne, I was shown that earlier by the always hentai-minded Flidget, who will eventually start charging me for her time.
I'm gonna make a casserole when I get up. Luny's gonna have to kick me awake, I can feel it.
Twig put her glasses on@06:22 a.m.Was going to archive at the end of the month, but sweet capricious insanity got the better of me. Catt's update reminded me of the one I needed to do for December. I wish I knew how Lilack coded for those lines that follow the text all the way down, borders and such, but as for now it is beyond me.
Finished the rough draft of the Imports Thanksgiving fic, should be up at the ML sometime tomorrow afternoon. I have chapters of Blood Red Moon, Metropoganda and Flesh and Binary approaching the 2/3 to completion point, and I have started LHR, blah blah blah... I'm working on all of it. Hopefully with the Imports ficlet out of the way I can devote all my time to the other stuff.
... and why do I always fall for the Neil Gaiman odds and ends? Not "Murder Mysteries" but "We Can Get it For You Wholesale," and I didn't enjoy "Good Omens" nearly as much as I did "Harlequin Valentine." I mean, I enjoy being a fringe wierdo just fine but when I'm a fringe of the fringe? Oi.
I want one of these. All shall suffer before my need for expensive cookware that I will rarely use. ^^
The travel guides are a bad thing to have to shelve when you're feeling depressed. Reminds me of all the adventures I'm not having. Not that I'm complaining, job and roof and computer and Luny and cats and cable modem *drool* is, you know, real nice, but shit, if I don't go anywhere what's the point of being around? I wanna go to New Zealand and Tasmania and Japan and Hawaii and Vancouver (again) and England to visit the Flidget but if I don't get some damn money I'm not going to do anything. I'm just going to sit around here being ordinary and that is not good enough. Mrrr.
I need to find one of those programs that will let me go be ordinary in New Zealand or something.
Mrrr.
