<grin> My english teacher made all the students cake today for our second-to-last class. Grand Mariner pound cake with dates and nuts... It was a wonderful class, we read all the novels of EM Forster and watched all the corresponding movies. Surprisingly, for not being a real 'classics' or even 'neo-classics' reader (i.e. I hate old books)... I really liked it. I'd suggest "A Room with A View" or "The Longest Journey" for books, and "A Passage to India" for movies. My favorite book and movie both was "Howard's End" although the book takes a little getting in to, and the movie is kind of the same way. Fairly good cinematography... and I'm kind of picky about that sort of thing...
Wai! I'm on Lilack's blogger!

Ooh... best video this year.... so hard to decide... "Weapon of Choice" with a dancing Christopher Walken or Daft Punk's "One More Time" with the Galaxy Express 999 art and the sequel song-and-video (that I can't seem to load on my computer)? I dunno... but Badly Drawn Boy's taxi-guy video definitely gets second place.

What is it about me and anime, that the only series I seem to like are the same series no one else on Earth watches? I swear, I must be the only Gestalt fan in the entire Northern Hemisphere. I don't even know why I like it (ok, I think Oliver's a sweetie, but is that really the basis for liking an entire show?), and since I can't read Japanese, I /really/ don't know why I bought all 7 volumes of the manga (this guy writes /one/ a year... it's absolutely insane. I don't have a clue what's going on, and like I said... no one else on Earth seems to like this manga...
I want to be trendy, damn it!
Oh yeah... in case you're wondering, I swiped the weblog name from Gladiator, mainly becuase it reminds me of Knights and Pawns... and if I'm taking two Roman history classes next year solely to help write the prologue, I think I'm at least a little entitled to it.
Updated the page, no new fic, really ... I know there are prolly rampant errors... : )
Going to see "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" tonight... can't wait...
Spaghettio-time!

So... two weeks to the end of the semester, three papers yet to write, original writing and fanfic about to start a civil war in my brain... so, why not start a weblog!?
Gee. Pure genius. I'm officially blaming this on Lilack, and all her amazing acclaim, though Ann has also been wondering why I haven't started blogging for quite some time.
Honestly, the reason is that I yell too much at the opinions page of the paper and scare everyone around me all the time as it is, I didn't really feel the need to drop it up on the web and make a fool of myself here too...
... but I got to put up a Meryl layout, so what the hell.
(I'm one of the very few people I know who like Meryl+Vash, Millie+Wolfwood even though I usually write shonen-ai... strange, no?)
All those artbooks will be good for something now, I suppose. : )
