Now Playing: Tsumetai Hana (Cold Flower) - The Brilliant Green
Nyooo...I really like The Brilliant Green's lyrics. They're nice and poetic and not always about love, which is always a big plus because we have quite enough of those. XP
Wiriya went back to Rice an hour ago and now I feel all lonely...ah well, I guess it's good that I have less distractions from my make-up work. ~_~;
We were watching some random shows while we were eating lunch...
Zoobabies on the Discovery channel: The first step in breeding animals is determining their SEX. (...)
Zoobabies: We can tell that this gorilla is pregnant because she's exploring her body *shows gorilla staring at and fondling her breasts* and touching her crotch *shows gorilla doing just that*. (o_O;;)
And then later I flipped the channel to some collecting show that was showing rubber duckies from decades back to present. XD;;;
Vinita: Duckie! DUCKIE!!! Duckie DUCKIE Duckie DUCKIE Duckie DUUUCKIIIEEE~!!!! XD XD XD XD XD
Wiriya: o_O;;;
And I forgot to mention...I turned in my orchestra poster last Friday, since I wasn't there to turn it in the previous week that it was due. A short description: It has my name and "violin" on it, along with a little bit over 100 printed out pictures - approximately 3/4 anime/manga-style art (including HP fanart from Mauo's page X3) and 1/4 Tare Panda, along with a few other things, like a picture of a rubber duckie from the old duckie-tachi page including its captions. ^_^;; I need to take a picture of it someday and scan it. X3
Mrs. Vandiver: Wow...
Cindy: *general squealing and pointing*
Katie: That's so coool~! *continues to look at it for the next ten minutes* <--not even an anime/manga/Tare Panda fan ^_^;;
Phillip: o_o;; Did you just work on that all the days you were gone?
Ryan: ...It looks just like Keiko's.
Vinita: Does not! *hmph* Keiko's only has pandas on it. And mine has so many more pictures and is so much scarier. <3
Ryan: *low pitch* Hello, Mr. Duckie. *leer* *high pitch* Squeak!
Vinita: XD XD XD;;;
I really wish I had had a tape or video recorder running to record Ryan doing that. It was so freaking PERFECT. XD;;;
And Friday after school:
Phillip: I'm glad you're feeling better, Vinita. *pause* Hmmm...were you really sick?
Vinita: -_-* YES!!!
And~ I saw the sheet listing the candidates for orchestra officers Friday afternoon. It's going to be haaard to decide who to vote for this year. Geez...so many people I wouldn't expect to run are running this year. Like Melanie, Keiko (SCARY), Nat, Tim, Cliff. I guess Melanie would be okay because she's working with Deepa for an office, and that kinda cancels out her shyness, but Keiko, Nat, and Cliff are such lazy bums. >_>;; Tim...I don't know. He's so bizzare and eccentric, who knows what he would do. *sweatdrop* There's so many good people to vote for in some categories, especially president. There's a lot of good candidates for that office...like James, Cindy, Kelly and Ryan, Jill and Urvi. Argh. Aah...and Ryan kept on asking me to vote for him last Friday. *sigh* I know it's silly, but I feel bad if someone reasonably nice asks me to support them and I don't. ._. Ryan and Kelly are both nice enough, but it kinda irks me, the thought of having two people who are close-minded when it comes to their religion for co-presidents, along with a teacher that's even more close-minded. ~_~;; I know it probably wouldn't affect anything, but it just...irks me, just thinking, "But what if it did?" Religion and having faith is all fine and dandy, but I hate that organized religion sometimes just...makes some people so damn close-minded. And for both Kelly and Ryan, I've seen a stunning example of close-mindedness caused by that. >__<; It bothers me that some people are just so nice and smart, but when they start talking about religion, the effects of it really hit you hard. It's hard to forget when people say things so unbelievably insulting. And sometimes I just wonder... they're really rather intelligent people, so how can they not see that what they're saying is so...*sigh* Sheesh...even last year, we lined up and had prayer before eating at the orchestra banquet, which I found incredibly insulting. Had it been a silent prayer, I would have been fine with it. But they were telling us exactly what we should say, and that made me really really frustrated. Because to me, that's just another way of pushing your religion in the faces of others who may not appreciate it. Just asking them to directly address "God" could be offensive, because some might believe in multiple gods, others might think it inappropriate to address whoever they believe in in such a direct manner, and some might not believe in one at all. Some people are like, "Hey, you're of another religion? That's cool." But then they turn around and tell you to pray with them to their god. And I would imagine that many of those same people wouldn't appreciate being asked to pray to someone else's god. *sigh* Eh...well, I didn't mean to wander off into this kinda topic, but I guess that's my little religion rant for the day. Hope I didn't just go and offend someone myself. ~_~;;

Now Playing: Groovy Blue - Dark Mousy/Onosaka Masaya [D.N. Angel]
Ah, the H__H song that drew me into D.N. Angel fangirlishness. X3 This song was also my sole reason for downloading Napster (back when it actually worked). It was on Wiriya's computer before we gave it to her, and I searched for it for hours because I was desperate to listen to it again. *sweatdrop* Not a particularly poetic song, but I can listen to it for hours nonstop. *niko* Daaku~ Onosaka Masaya~ H___H
And I liii~ve once more~! Got sick again. *sweatdrop* Buried under four days' worth of make-up work. And so what the heck am I doing blogging at 3:30 in the morning? Aaahaha...^_^;; Collapsed early yesterday somewhere between eight and ten, and I woke up at two because my mosquito bites (damned greedy buggers (that I'm allergic to >__<;) are FAT this year) and hives from some unknown allergic reaction (I keep on getting bumps right after food...~_~;; After eating lunch from Luby's, after eating a donut, after eating lunch at school...) were screaming IIIITCH!!! And now I can't get back to sleep. *sigh*
Aah...I've been eating way too many fatty foods today. ~_~;; Mom bought some yummy BBQ ribs from that Mexican restaurant in front of New Territory, Mrs. Hassler (eccentric Japanese violin teacher >_>;;) gave me two Krispy Kreme donuts (how could I resist~?! I managed not to eat all of the second one...I felt really guilty because it was a creme-filled one), and now I'm eating some frozen food breaded fish sticks. *sweatdrop* Must exercise.
Wiriya came home Friday afternoon and brought home three anime tapes from the Rice University anime club~! *happy happy* Friday night:
Vinita: It's over already~? It was only three hours total~! :_:
Wiriya: o_O;; Umm...
Wiriya brought home Shinesman, Petshop of Horrors, and Those Who Hunt Elves. TWHE was kinda...eeh. Nothing special. It had its amusing moments, but there's a lot of other things I'd rather watch. Tomokazu Seki played the buff macho guy Junpei, and I could only barely recognize his voice, and he's normally so easy to single out. O_O;;
Shinesman was just ridiculously amusing. XD;; I watched the sub, and many people seem to think the dub is even funnier, so it has the honor of being one of few dubs I actually want to see. Gotta love a parody sentai anime that has corporate businessmen that save the day with names like "Shinesman Red! (or Lead-do! XD;;)" "Shinesman Grey!" "Shinesman Moss Green!" "Shinesman Sepia!" and "Shinesman Salmon Pink!" The little kids in the anime were saying that they couldn't possibly be the real heroes because their colors were boooring. XD XD XD;; All the characters are named after their seiyuu too - so the manga-ka pretty much forced the animators to get the seiyuu she wanted. She even put Matsumoto Yasunori and Matsumoto Rica together for Shinesman Red and his little brother. X3 I was cackling because I heard the villain prince and thought "It's Yuusuke, deshou~?!" and then they called him "Sasaki" and I screamed "It is~! Sasaki Nozomu~! X3" And then his right-hand man was "Seki," or Seki Toshihiko~ Only one OAV though...;_; But there's a nine volume manga! *_* And there was no Shiina in the manga, so the see bare skin-->"I must love you or kill you" complex was given to Sasaki?! XD XD XD;; MUST SEE~!
And Petshop of Horrors... Suteki~ Downright freaky, but still wonderful. *_* Anyone who likes Kyuuketsuki Miyu should see this too~! I really like how they make Count D seem quite creepy but almost normal by making him go *kira kira* over sweets. XD;; I really like his character design...it's simple, but works really well. He looks kinda like a grown-up Ken with makeup. X3 It's the hair. I like his hair. It's nice how they always have his right eye almost always covered by his hair except in important moments. And I like when his hair goes swish-swish! And his clothes are downright PRETTY. ^_^; And Q-chan, the funky pear-shaped bunny-bat thing, is just too cute~<3 The imagery is quite freaky though. Really good, but really creepy. Right after Count D finishes his monologue after the creepy man-eating rabbit incident, they show a closeup of Count D cutting into a pretty white cake with blood...red...strawberries. Eee~! o_O;; But I hear there's only four episodes...;_; *sigh* I'll have to get my hands on the ten volume manga...someday...in the far far far future when I can actually afford to get manga. *sigh* ;_; But till then, there's still two more episodes to watch. And it's such a seiyuu fangirl paradise. XD;; Count D is Seki Toshihiko, and Leon is Onosaka Masaya. H___H Seki Toshihiko is really amazing though...everytime I hear him, he sounds so different. Heck, who could imagine that Count D, Duo Maxwell, and Mousse were all the same person. o_O;; And his role as Niwa Kosuke in the D.N. Angel drama tracks...H__H Dammit, I want to watch more than episodes 3-4 of Trigun. I want to hear Onosaka Masaya aaaangst.
'Tousan's not home this weekend, and he took his VCR. So we can't record the three tapes though. ;_;
And Wiriya went back to Rice Saturday around noon to check in on her lab stuff, then came back in the afternoon. She stopped by the optometrist's office to get my contacts~! *kira kira*
*sigh* Missed third episode of Tamers today because I didn't know it would run at 8:00. Ah well, I'll see it eventually when they start showing reruns. >_>; It's nice to watch the series and actually understand everything, instead of only bits and pieces (seeing the entire episode instead of just clips is nice too). ^_^;; It's kinda pathetic how little I understand Japanese, especially compared to some people who've been watching anime for a few years, while I've been watching since the beginning of first grade. ~_~;; Argh~! Why can't Austin HS give Japanese classes?! Fort Bend ISD is EVIL. They taunt me by showing in their classes guide that SOMEWHERE, a school in the district has Japanese classes, just not mine. >_<;; Ah, I'm digressing... Maybe it's just me, but Lee and Takato don't really seem like shounen-ai fodder. *sweatdrop* They're just too...friendshippy. Like good buddies. Not at all like Taichi and Yamato or Daisuke and Ken. >_>;; Not that they weren't good friends, but the kids in the first two series definately had...those moments. :3
And Toonami showed the first two episodes of Bebop Thursday night on Adult Swim. Nee~, you're right, Myra-san, they actually did a pretty good job, keeping Tank and The Real Folk Blues and everything. ^_^ I never bothered to hear the dub, even though I have the first DVD, but it's not half-bad. I didn't watch the second episode though, because I fell asleep. ^_^;; I didn't bother yesterday either, because I decided I ought to do my make-up work...
Aah~! Myra-san, you're cosplaying as Megumi?! XD XD XD Are you going to try making kitsune ears? X3 And congrats on getting a a single room~! *niko*
o_O;; That's a new one. But I think I like it. :3 With an adorable picture like that, how could I not think it's cute? X3 And the more I think about it, the cuter I think it is. ^_^;;
Ooh~! You like The Brilliant Green too, Cindy~? X3 ...Dang, if your livejournal were searchable, you could get some really odd hits. With things like "popped the question", "couch", "rod", "suggestive", and one other unmentionable all in one entry. *dodges pokemon corpses* Ah, Cindy I'm happy for you that you've got a kareshi (read: boyfriend *niko*), but now I have to be wary whenever I'm around you two so I don't get overwhelmed by sparklies. XD;;
Nyooo...I think I'm starting to feel a bit sleepy again, so back to bed~!

Now Playing: SLASH! - Oota Michihiko [Digimon Tamers]
I'm finally done adding the blog links~! XD XD XD *collapse*
I also downloaded Netscape to see if this blog actually works on it. Apparently, I set the font color for the left frame to white. O_O;; Fixed that. Other than that, everything looks fine in Netscape, except that the text in the left frame seems to align to the center for some reason, but I don't particularly care. XD; And now I have four web browsers on my computer - Opera 5 (my wubly primary that ExtremeTracking thinks is Netscape 4), IE 5.5 (secondary), Netcaptor 6.5 (which I don't use, but if I delete it, Nont just downloads it again the next time he's around >_o), and now Netscape 6.1. o_O;;
Now all I have left on my blog To Do list is a new layout and typing out my playlist. I'm getting tired of this layout, so it'll go bye-bye eventually. XD; My playlist is currently at 382 (not counting my old completely full mp3 CD that Nont burned ^^;), so that'll have to wait for some time. ^_^;; Well, I might add links to the selectsmart.com selectors, but that might awhile yet.
And yes, I am on a Digimon Tamers music kick. X3

Now Playing: Slash! - Oota Michihiko [Digimon Tamers]
Time for more fun bloggy goodness~! <3 <3 <3 Yes, I am in a genki mood, why do you ask~? X3 I've had about 25 Starbursts today, and I think it's catching up on me~!
I <3 your new layout, Myra-san~! Nothing like a good dose of Kenken to make my day~ X3 *pause* Oh, whoops. I guess I should've made myself a bit more clear. ^_^;; I don't actually live in the city of Austin; I just attend Austin High School (one of the many, I'm sure ^^;). I actually live a bit southwest of Houston in a dopey little city called Sugar Land. (Yeah, it's the place that houses the Imperial Sugar Factory; isn't it kinda sad that the founders thought the defining characeristic of this place was a sugar factory? ^_^;) I even live in a rather uncreatively named housing community called New Territory. >.>; Oh! *kira kira* I feel so loved~! Nothing like being added to a list of blogs with the heading "Read or Die." X3 This is encouraging me to actually get off my bum and add my list of blogs! XD;
*shakes head* No, no, no~! They've got it all~ wrong! This shouldn't be the card slash theme, it should be the slash theme, period~<3 o/~ Go~tta SLASH!!! Yuu~jou no ta~me ni! SLASH the life!!! Kimitachi wa nareru sa
Muteki no paatonaa o/~ XD XD XD (Well, Megchan says they're actually saying "Card Slash!" but I thought he was saying "Gotta Slash!" and that's just so much more fun~! X3)
Aaand~, I watched the first two dubbed episodes of Digimon Tamers on FoxKids this morning. *_*; It seems they have new scriptwriters. No Jeff Nimoy to be found~! *cheers* XD; And! There's actually moments! Of silence! The new(?) scriptwriters don't seem to feel the need to fill in every moment of silence with new dialogue, thank goodness. The characters aren't spouting corny jokes every five seconds! And because of that, the voice acting sounds better; before, it sounded really awkward at times, since they would have to talk quickly and unnaturally to get it all in. ~_~; I suppose the voices are decent enough, though I rather think Ruki sounds too snotty. There was all these voice cameos from the Digimon/02 Chosen. XD; I guess the Ruki-->Rika name change is okay, but I don't see why they felt they needed to change it. Maybe because they thought it sounds too much like rookie? >_>; I really don't like Lee's name change to Henry though. >__<;; I bet it's at least partially because they don't want to be accused of copying "Lee Showron." ~_~;; And! I don't know how it went in the Japanese version, but I think the crowning moment of the first two episodes of the dub was the scene where Culumon was suggesting to a couple how to improve their battle technique. XD;;
Culumon: *innocently* Hey, you know what? I think you're going to have to open your mouths much, mu~ch wider if you really wanna swallow each other. <3 *^_^* <3
Vinita: *THUD* XD XD XD;;;
Oh, and I got myself a ryuuzoku.net forwarding address~! X3 Ai*shi is the name of the clothing company Time Stranger Kyoko is smitten over, for those of you who were wondering. *^_^* Erin incorporated it into her KKJ ficcy, Arcadia, by making Maron and her Kaasan the founders of it. X3
Meia's YuexNakuru humour ficcy, How to Catch a Moon, is downright hilarious. X3
Yue: ...*mumble* Suki da.
Nakuru: What was that?
Yue: Um... Um... Tsuki da! Look, see? The moon!
XD XD XD That actually makes me want to read some YuexNakuru fics now. XD;;
And MadamHydra has a lovely post-game FFIX trilogy titled Tree and Crystal. And it's actually a finished work~! *kira kira* Anybody who reads any of MadamHydra's fanfiction knows her muses are very sadistic creatures indeed. ^_^;; The like to tease unmercifully by inspiring her to write full speed ahead for a time to make sure everyone's dying for some monstrously evil cliffhanger to be resolved, and then they go and sit back and cackle for a few years. ^_^;;; Tree and Crystal is a remarkably "light" fic for MadamHydra too. Most of her stuff is so very DARK (but GOOD). O_O;

Now Playing: Piece of Heaven - Weiß [Weiß Kreuz Op 2]
~_~;; I woke up this morning with a high fever and stayed home. Slept pretty much all day until seven in the evening, and I only woke up for a few minutes a couple times. (Everytime I woke up, I looked up at the clock and thought "Now I'm missing so-and-so class." ^^;) The fever's broken, so I'm pretty much fine now...seems to be one of those one-day sicknesses, which are really rare for me. >_>;; It seems that most of the time when I'm sick, I'm out of comission for at least a week. ~_~; Mou~, I've only been in school 2 1/2 weeks, but I've already been sick twice. >_<;;
I have really bizarre dreams when I'm sick, usually even more so than when I'm healthy. @_@;; My subconcious has Very Odd ideas of who should get together in RL. Today, I had an AlanxMelanie dream. O_O;;;; I swear I have no clue where the heck _THAT_ came from. I believe it took place right outside Vandiver's office (closet? XD;) in the orchestra room near the end of class. IIRC, Alan had gotten down on one knee and was gathering the courage to ask her out, and after long moments of hushed silence among the violinists who had noticed and were not-so-inconspicuously gathered around, Melanie apparently got A Clue and scurried off, claiming she had Something Direly Important To Do. >_>;; I think he tried to go after her, but Mrs. Vandiver apparently decided to side with Melanie and claim that she had some important task for Alan to do. The office door had been wide open, so Mrs. Vandiver had witnessed the entire exchange. >_>; I didn't have a particularly significant role in this dream; I was simply one of the crowd of gossip-mongers. >.>;; I don't just watch shoujo, I don't just read shoujo...I dream shoujo. ^_^;; *ponders* I hope this isn't one of those dreams that's trying to tell me something o_o;;
"Wheel of Morality, turn, turn, turn~! Tell us the lesson that we should learn~!" XD;;
Ah, please don't feel bad, Myra-san! It's just some communication problems, nothing big, ne? ^^; I like NEko; I'm a cat person myself, and I wub cats dearly. X3 Carla (my piano teacher :3) has the cutest and goofiest cat named Cho-Cho, and I don't even get any allergic reactions from her, despite her long-ish hair. *niko* She'll rub up against my leg while I'm playing, flop down on her back, and give me this look that says "Peeet meee~! <3" And the poor thing tries to chase birds, but often ends up getting chased by them. XD;
Looking at Meimi's blog (I wub the layout X3), I'm reminded of the time when I was at the Waldenbooks at the mall and I heard an exceedingly familiar song. Apparently, someone working there had put some mixed anime cd in, which had, among other things, instrumental versions of Moonlight Densetsu and Itooshi Hito no Tame ni.
Vinita: *stands up* Am I hearing what I think I'm hearing? >.>;
Wiriya: I think you are. >.>;;
I wish there was an anime club at Austin~ ;_; Though if there was one, I'd probably be the one providing the majority of the anime. >.>; And it'd probably have to be all shounen, because other than Meli, I don't know of anyone in the school that actually watches shoujo anime besides the dubbed Sailormoon. ~_~;

Now Playing: Crash de Bingo! - Inoue Miyako/Natsuki Rio [Digimon 02]
Natsuki Rio has a nice singing voice, and this is a really fun song. :3 I was really surprised when I actually heard Miyako's voice in the anime, because it's so much higher than her singing voice. Did anyone else think of Utena when they saw Miyako's daydream about Mimi being her sister? o_O;; That's all I could think about when I saw it...the lesbian overtones (I know it could just be seen as an innocent dream, but when I thought of Utena, I just could not let go of that POV ^^;), the long flowing pink and purple hair, their ballroom dresses...
If you happen to be checking back at this, Myra-san, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to assume anything. ^^;; I kinda just stumbled upon your blog last week, and sparkled at the mention of another Kyoto fic. I admit to my lack of knowledge about the behavior of your muses! *bows before miffed muses* ^_-
@_@ *rubs eyes* Dang, that last blog is *still* six and a half pages long. >_>;; I must have been in an extremely depraved bloggy mood, because I typed up that all of that previous monstrosity in less than an hour as I ate dinner and talked to Wiriya on the phone. (Well, obviously not the last two at the same time. ^_^;)
*boggle*
"Google: dead or alive chii kawaii" Would you like your Kawaii Chii rare, medium, or well done, ma'am? We'll even throw in a free side of Hideki~! <3
"Yahoo: kawaii Ken Ichijouji" Yes, he is. X3 Try Boy Genius.
"Google: kiss OR kissing OR kissed OR fanart "Pikachu and Chikorita"" o_O;; Sorry, can't help you there. I'm not too big on pokemon rabu-rabu. >_>;
"Google: noin claude manga" Tell me if you find any~<3 XD~
Well, off to work on my orchestra poster some more. ~_~; Now, what should I put on it besides anime/manga, Tare Panda and other cute things, and Harry Potter fanart...? Or is that enough? It sure describes my interests well enough. X3

Now Playing: Theme of The Legend of Zelda: Triforce of the Gods/A Link to the Past - Kondo Kouji
Busy busy busy...not much time for blogging this week. ;_;
This song is such a delight to listen to~<3 It's from the first of the Orchestral Game Music Concert ~Live Best Selections~ albums, which is a series of cds with arranged game music played by the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra~<3 And one of the arrangers is Kanno Yoko~! <3 <3 <3 There's actually two orchestrated versions of the Zelda main theme, but I like this one more. The CDs and even the mp3s are near impossible to find though... Soundtrackcentral.com labels the albums as either extinct or rare (all the cds are 5-10 years old). @_@; Besides a couple exceptions, I could only find these mp3s before Napster went kaput. And the only time I've seen the CDs for sale was a few times on Ebay, and they all went for at least $150 each. O_O; I think the most well-known song of this series of albums was the 23 minute Dream Oath from the opera scene in FFVI. Miraculously, I managed to download this monstrosity it off of Napster, even with my 56k dial-up connection. ^_^; It was definately worth the trouble though! *niko*
GEH. O_O;; I hate it when my browser does Evil Things to my sanity.
Vinita: *accesses Blog bookmark folder*
Blog Folder: *calmly shows the contents of the Ribon folder* *repeats five times over*
Finally showed up correctly, but not without making me want to scream first. ~_~;
*cackle* It's times like this that I'm happy that I read so many blogs~<3 Happy blog moment of the day: Maou's! Harry Potter! Doujinshi! Wild Child! Scanned! XD XD XD It's only up temporarily, so get it while you can~! :3
A Petra-themed layout? Would this be the Ender universe Petra~? *kira kira* If it is, I really hope it works out. *niko* I'd like to see some Ender's Game anime-style fanart~<3 I found one for Ender a while ago, but I didn't have time to look for more. Must remember to do some searching later. *niko*
Ooh. The Death (from Vertigo's The Sandman) winamp skin, "Crush with Eyeliner," is up right now. I think I'll switch it off random for now, because Death just kicks ass. X3 I want an ankh~. Wiriya got one a few years back, and it's just the niftiest thing. I wanted to get one too, but I didn't want to copy her. Now I regret that decision, because I've been wanting an ankh pendant ever since, but all the ankh pendants I've seen since don't look as nice as Wiriya's. ;_;
My left contact got torn when I was putting it in Monday morning. ;_; Mom rushed by me to get something she had left in my room but bumped into me, and then I stepped on something sharp (I think it was a staple...) and dropped the contact. And when I found it, it was ripped almost completely through. ;_; I think it must've been shoved against my fingernails or something when my foot got poked...;_; ;_; ;_; If there's a contact lenses god out there somewhere, s/he must really not like me...
Had an interesting conversation the other day at lunch. Deepa was talking about Banny Linn, whom I haven't seen since junior high. We had a rather...odd relationship back then. IIRC, I left a rather...unorthodox...parting message in his yearbook, while he wrote the usual "Goodbye, I'll miss you, etc." type of thing. He kinda screamed "WHAT?!" when he read my message. ^_^;; One thing we had in common was squeamishness about Greg, who always stared/leered at us and Bernice. >_>;; It was freaky enough for Bernice and I, but it probably really squicked Banny to have another guy leering at him. >_>;;; (Sometimes Bernice and I would amuse/freak ourselves out by counting the number of times he would unsubtlely turn around and look at us during the 45 minute history period, which sometimes went over 100. ~_~;;) Anyway, Banny was, well, rather chubby in junior high. Deepa's seen him twice since junior high - at a Decathalon meeting and at the Quiznos on Hwy 6, where he's working now. Apparently he's lost a lot of weight and now he's got one of those slim-buff builds, and according to Deepa, he's quite the bish (well, she said hot, but I like to say bish *niko*). XD; I'm going to have to drop by and visit him sometime. X3 He's one of those fun weird sweet guys, and it'd be nice to see him again. Meli wants me to take a camera along if I ever go see him. *niko*
Stephy's quitting orchestra~ ;_; I wonder why she didn't quit earlier though, since she already decided last year she didn't want to be in orchestra anymore. I think Mrs. Vandiver was really rude about the entire situation. >_<; Stephanie saw her privately to explain why she was quitting and all, and then Mrs. Vandiver turns around and makes her announce to the _entire class_ why she was leaving. >_< Geez, it's her _private business_, and in my opinion, she shouldn't have to tell anyone why she's quitting unless she _wants_ to. >_< Vandiver wouldn't have done this to most anyone else; I think she's just mad because she's losing her concert master and an all-stater. Mrs. Vandiver even kicked her out of the orchestra room this morning before school. T_T* I think she's just mad and being petty, because she's always letting other people who aren't in orchestra hang around, as long as she likes them. My opinion of Mrs. Vandiver just gets lower and lower as I get to know her longer. There's her general attitude and personality, her pettiness (she's _unbelievably_ petty), her narrow-mindedness and homosexual-bashing (when a gay guy was sitting right by her), how she got all pissed off at Sophie when she quit and acted like everything was her fault and she's so rude for quitting, etcetera, etcetera. >_< And since we're losing our concert master, Vandiver made some of the best first violins try out for the solos (and then there was some of the first violins volunteering others to try out without their permission...^_^;;):
Vandiver: You can do it, Alan! You're a smart guy!
Alan: *shakes head emphatically* No.
Class: XD XD XD;;
Anyway. We voted for beau and sweetheart yesterday in orchestra. The...selection of senior guys is really lacking this year (there's only four of them!). >_>;; There's Tim Das, who probably wasn't too happy when he found out we voted him to be the banner-carrier, because he's the type who'd rather just sit back and do nothing. ^^; James Chen...ugh...jerk. He called one really nice orchestra girl a slut, and he's such a petty insensitive jerk that when Steph was giving her speech, all he cared about was that we were losing an all-stater. >_<;; And then. Last year, he actually asked me out for the homecoming dance. >_<; I turned him down as nicely as I could, despite the urge to scream "HELL. NO!" And what does he do? He writes "See U in Hell, Vinita," on the back of my orchestra schedule. He probably thought he was being "clever" by "disguising" his handwriting, even though it was painfully obvious that it was him. And then he has the audacity to act like he doesn't remember such a thing. Oh, right. That little note just happened to appear the following school day, and it just happened to look exactly like his handwriting when he's trying to make it look ambiguous, and it just happened to be that he was my stand partner at the time, who has by far the easiest access to my music, and it just happened to be that he was the only person I knew of who was angry at me. I know I can be a real immature brat, but that just takes the cake. When Archana had heard that I had turned a guy down, she said something along the lines of "Why not~?" Until she heard who it was, and then she said "You go girl~! <3" >_>;; And Archana's the kind of person who's very very nice to people. *sigh* And James is also one of those irritating twits who act like they're of incredible intelligence and knowledge when they really aren't, and it's extremely obvious that they aren't. And what PISSES ME OFF! THE MOST! Keiko (I know she's my friend, but she can be such a SPOILED BRAT sometimes >_<;) broke her promise (for the nth time!) about not telling anyone about the guy I've been crushing on the past two years, and told JAMES of all people, the one guy who has a vendetta against me. So HE decides that he's going to anounce my crush in his SENIOR WILL at the ORCHESTRA BANQUET for every frickin' person to hear. >_<; But I digress. Then there's Ryan Maddings, who is a complete and utter disgusting pervert who could probably be sued for sexual harrassment right along with Everitt Vandiver. >_<; James Nicholson's a really nice guy, even though I think he had way too much fun poking me and trying to tickle me and calling me/singing Vinita the Fajita. >_>; He won the votes by a landslide. Of course, there's the slight problem of him very likely being voted beau for the French club. >_>;; Deepa was saying yesterday after school that the freshmen girls she talked to were afraid of James though. He's a really big guy - on the upper end of six-foot-something. ^^; He's only slightly shorter than me when he's on his knees - I'm only about 5'1"-5'2". So he does seem rather intimidating before you actually get to know him. ^^;;
I went to the first Spanish club meeting of the year this afternoon, which was on the patio outside the cafeteria. Meli didn't go, even though she said she would (must have forgotten as usual...). >_<; Christina and Amy, who were in the club last year, weren't there either. ;_; Anyway, apparently Ryan Midgett's decided to join, but none of his friends did, and he was sitting all~ alo~ne. Cindy and I sat on the same table as him, which was rather dirty (the table, you ecchi people!). I meant to flick a kernel of corn off to the opposite side of table, but it hit him instead. Oops. ^_^;;; (Of course, being the evil person I am, I was later entertaining thoughts of flicking the remaining kernels at him too. >D;;) Earlier, at lunch, I was stuck sitting right beside Reid, Ryan's brother, instead of a couple of seats away like I usually do. So I was forced to see and hear every little bit of his muttering and whining and pouting. I swear, he's exactly like Sarah's brother Ben, except worse; their voice are _extremely_ similar, they act alike, they have the same mannerisms... >_o If there's such a thing as a souls/spirits, theirs must have pulled a Clow Read. >_>; So I told Ryan I felt sorry for him for having to put up with so many siblings all the time and ranted a bit about Reid's...behavior (pretty much the same stuff I tell Sarah ^^;), whereupon Ryan agreed with me completely and pointed at his brother, who was sitting at the next table. ^^; Later, the club sponsors handed out forms to fill, which asked us to write some basic stats down, along with some club-related questions. Cindy wrote "last year's Christmas party" for the question about what we liked about last year's club, which was amazingly fun. X3 We ate food and went caroling in Spanish in Cindy's neighborhood and froze our hands and got melted candle wax on hands - I want to do it again! X3 Ryan's apparently considering running for treasurer, and Cassy's going for secretary. (Ryan wanted to be treasurer because it'd take the least effort >_>; Lazy bum... Cindy: Is Ryan's running for office?! o_O) For Spanish club, people running get interviewed and have to give a short speech. Cindy ended up being secretary last year, even though the teacher had to end up saying her speech as Cindy showed a poster she made (I didn't quite get how exactly this happened...). ^_^;
Ryan: Hmmm...I better write down something that makes me look good..."organized", "hard-working", "intelligent"...
Vinita: YOU?! Hard-working?! Weren't you the one who told me last year that you were a lazy bum who _never_ did his homework?!
Ryan: Hey, I got it done eventually!
Vinita: That doesn't quite equal hard-working...>_>;
Ryan: When I did my homework at lunch, I was hard-working! *grin*
Cindy: How about leadership skills?
Vinita & Ryan: Hahaha...NO. Definately not that.
Ryan: Damn, I guess I'm not really organized though.
Vinita: Heck, no.
Ryan: *furiously scratches out "organized"*
Cindy: Hey, at least you're honest!
Ryan: *lights up* Honesty! I can put that!
Vinita: ...Isn't "intelligent" rather egotistical though...? >_>;
Ryan: No~<3 *grin*
And when I get back to the orchestra room, somehow the subject of the conversation gets to Ryan Maddings.
Nina: Huh? You mean the cute guy?
Everyone else: O_O;;
Vinita: Um...I think you've got the wrong Ryan. XD;
*sigh* And I also learned from Ryan that Mr. Collins *is* teaching Physics I Honors, and now I really wish I could switch to his class. That's the one class I *really* want to change. I like my Pre-Cal teacher, I don't have any other choice with Orchestra, CompSci, and US History, and my English teacher is good, even though she gives loads of work. But Mrs. Long does _not_ know what the heck she's doing when she's teaching physics. >_<; She nice and all, but she's just not all there when it comes to physics. Biology, yes. Physics, NO. I want a good science teacher for once, dammit! Mr. Collins is actually a smart guy who knows what he's doing, and according to Wiriya and Nick, actually a good teacher! From what I heard, he graduated at the top of his class from some elite college like Stanford or Harvard or something (can't remember), he was in NHS, and he quit an extremely high-paying job...to become a high-school teacher. >_>; *sigh*
Oh, changed something in the layout to something more appropriate. If you don't know what, you haven't been paying attention here at all, or you stumbled here from some search engine or something. ^_^; I figured that since I don't have time to make a new layout yet, I can at least change one thing about it that's been bugging me for awhile.
Er. Yeah. I think that's all I wanted to say. (Everyone else: That's _all_?!) Well, so I'm a bit long-winded... (was that ever an understatement). ^_^;
