Really moody today. How come they assigned me for sport?? Me? And only with 2 other participant (which are not fully willing I presume)? And it's only my last choice. And people everywhere are getting their firsts, but somehow, I'm not included in the group.
Really, truly hope my plead will be accepted. I shudder to think I will spend the whole semester fuming and sulking, not to mention with dampened spirit and Friday afternoons still stuck in Depok. I'm even willing to embarass myself by offering to take the singing class as the last solution. But I hope they will take me for the first one.
In another note, I wonder if there's a new children song. When I went back after dinner, I heard two children singing this lyric "I miss you, I miss you, sexy sexy!". No kidding. What happens to children these days?
Still can't stop fuming.
And the weird thing is, I can post the previous entry from school. Will wonders ever cease?

And now pitas is one of those websites blocked by school's firewall.

Went to the station, and got Chobits 4 and Hikaru no Go 6. And the seller even gave me a little bit of discount. Also saw two book stalls selling some English paperbacks, but none of them looked interesting. No SF or fantasy.
And I finished Hitchhiker's Guide last night. I thought it was a stand-alone which was prolonged later, but apparently I was wrong. But even if the end is rather a cliffhanger, it ends the story quite nicely. And Douglas Adams' style is really similar with PTerry's (or is it the way around?). They like to use paradoxical sentences, characters who fool around, and clearly, they are sharp observers of life. The difference between them, IMHO, is that PTerry most of the time put many subplots to his stories which will be tied in the end of the story; while Adams seems to be happy with one single main plot. But I have only read one of Adams' books, so my opinion is probably premature.
My friend returned Supernova 2.1 already, and, unsurprisingly, she also like the first book better.
Reminder #2: Morrie's Syllabus chapter will provide at least 2 nice entries. Look for it.

Note: I typed this on Monday.
Cynic Day. Everyone started introduce themselves with cynical attitude towards us. Hope it won't last.
Also, can't edit the layout here, as it seems that this computer can't view the div layer properly. Oh well, at least I still have Photoshop.
And really, it's really dangerous to bring Supernova 2.1 to the faculty. Everybody seeing it seemed very eager to get their hands on it. I instantly remembered that these people were the very same ones who memorised nearly every Diva's lines. I can't see why here many people think Diva is a hella cool woman, though. Sure, she's cool, but she's also a pretentious snob. As I said before, I like Bodhi better, cause he's the honest cool one.
Still, to each their own, hm?
And one of my new classes requires me to keep a journal. It will be a collection of other person's writings and my comments, criticisms, the usual. And, of course, my progress report. Really, what's new?
And apparently, this class also needs streaks of creativity, as it seems that they expect us to be able to write something in a short time. Sigh. And I thought I can have some leisure time. I really have to enlarge my reading scope. Especially in Indonesian. MAybe biographies? Probably Soeharto's will be interesting enough. Or Sindhunata's football reflectives. If anything, it can inspire me to whip up something. And I can always cut up some passage from it to be put up in my journal.
Note to self: find Sheila on 7 lyrics. Lots of it. Preferably the corniest. Then again, just find any modern children song lyric, and the rest is assured.
Watched I Spy. Should've known better. I commend the commercial maker, though, for making it looked interesting.

Been getting some referrers. Let's see.
No, I don't have Meteor Garden 2 episode guide. I just watch it randomly and give comment on scenes that interest me.
As for the possible actor for Artemis Fowl, I want to know it myself. Probably some Dan Radcliffe-ish, with Tom Felton's smirk.

I forgot to copy the entry to the floppy disc. Oh, well. At least the connection here is still tolerable. For now.
Have no mood to write now, so I'll save the entries for later. But just for personal reminder: make the first two entries from Rakyat Merdeka and the Dean's article.

3.97. 3.93. Really. I'm jealous. Especially with the PDPT sword hanging inches from my head and will fall, surely, when I least expect it.
New term starts tomorrow. Bye bye holiday.

Forgot to write this. I signed for the singing class. I can't really believe it myself up till now. Oh, the horror. And that's what you call "full of choices"? Either that or theater, which nearly sure is full of assignments, scripting, etc etc blah. Sports are so out of question.
This week is certainly not a good one.

MVP actually looks quite interesting right now. Will keep an eye for it, although it's hard to do with the upcoming new term.
And actually feels quite unhappy, despite everything today. It just... lacked something, and I was kinda insulted by that flippant comment. But my teacher's still indignant response towards my choice of study is always amusing to no end. Still.

Many pretty pictures. Pity there's no Broken Sword from the fight scene with Emperor Qin. Probably will make a layout. Or several.
And really, Indonesian silver screen, I understand if you intend it to be funny, but it just doesn't click. I mean, you have resorted to a chicken alarm? And worse, they try to mix the unfunniness with innuendos. Really, Roger, have a semblance of dignity, please.

From how it goes on TLC, does it mean I can't expect Ewan McGregor to play Lupin? I'm not satisfied if it really does, but I hope whoever gets the role plays it really well.
Why bother with hoppit (direct link here) if you can get Proto?
Really, the subtitle on my copy of bootleg VCD isn't any better. It ranges from the easily forgiven typos like Sharuman to Proto to no subtitle at all. I only watched a few scene from it, so I wonder if the maker translated the Elvish at all.
But I admit rewinding Legolas' acrobatic move a few (or maybe more than a few) times. The more I look into it, the more I'm convinced that they must have put some kind of trampoline on the ground. Else, without even run, he wouldn't be able to jump that high.

Just heard that Kojiro is played by TOKIO's drummer. Well, he looks quite good, but isn't Kojiro supposed to look more boyish?
And Nero really isn't reliable for making Audio CDs. Lost 2 CDs already along the process.
Edit: make it 3. Why bother to offer overburn if I can't use it?
Just read The Lost Boy - Dave Pelzer. Quite moving, more touching from the first book. Can't help but think he's a little bit vandalish, though.

People really can't keep their promises. I just wish I wasn't learn that by the hard way.
I want to elaborate, but it'll only make me see red.
And since I only came for the appointment, I had nothing to do after being stranded. The faculty didn't even manage to publish our scores. Or even the forms, which is promised to be available at Tuesday. Sigh. Indonesian public school. What do I expect, anyway? I should've realised it from the start.
On the way back home, I practically encountered daylight robbery. With as many witnesses as possible. And sadly, we let them do it and run away. I kid you not.
See, I have no qualms towards the street singers here. Few of them are actually good enough, like that one who sang MLTR's Paint My Love. He showed a real effort. But today, in the bus, after one unremarkable one, came 2 men. One of them started his speech, and the other one's job, I presume, was to complete his partner's half-formed sentences. Firstly I thought they would launch a poetry session, but, alas, they only gave a one-minute jumbled talk which basically is their whining about their state of hunger. And of course, because they were hungry, the oh-so-kind bus passengers certainly would feel nothing if they gave those hungry men a sum of, oh, let's say, 1000? 500? Really.
I was ready to dismiss those people as some kind of intermezzo amidst their kin. But after 10 minutes, it appeared that I was so wrong. Another 2 men entered the bus. This time, they didn't give the preliminary talk, and launched straight into their business. Nice. Not. They wanted money. Because apparently 3 days ago their guitar was smashed by the police. Uh huh. And they "begged" for our help so that they could eat and buy a new guitar. In a very intimidating way. I mean, how could it be persuasive if they phrased their words like this "We don't ask for haughtiness or arrogancy. No, no, we ask for understanding". Understanding is the keyword.
And they put their hands in front of us just a little bit longer than necessary.
And just before I left the bus, the driver commented, "I wonder why. So many people leave the bus and few come in,". Yes, I wonder, too.

Have decided to forsake the discount on Borders Singapore and take QB's offer. To console myself, at least I still get the member discount. Damn JK Rowling anyway. It'd better be really good.
