Takaya Natsuki is such a tease. But the last two chapters of Fruba are just too cute for words.

And I can't believe it, but I actually get an A for Physiology. I mean, I flunked the final exam, so I was preparing for the worst. Now there's another three subjects which status is in limbo. *crossing fingers*

Oh, and I've exhausted my PoT collection today. The Ep 21-40 is quite good, although I still liked the matches with Hyoutei more. And these episodes contain so many fillers! Some of them are good, but the rest I can do without. The juices are amusing though, if only for that scene in ep 39 where Tezuka said "Kekkon!" in response to Fuji requiring about Penal Tea. And Inui is just so...demented, for lack of better words. In a good way, though.

And Mizuki, OMG! That rose-printed purple shirt! Honestly! The hair-playing fetish is more than enough, y'know.

And isn't Fuji just too cool? Reminds me a bit of Shigure.

Oh, and Kaidoh is just as endearing as ever. Same goes to Kamio and Shinji, with their indignant screams and mutters respectively. And Akutsu is way too violent.

Addendum to the last post: in the extra scene, Michelle Saram laughed after doing a fluke in her scene. Her laugh is so different than that obnoxious one. Does it mean that annoying laugh is a part of Ye Sha?

And according to the Discworld horoscope, I'm born under the sign of The Cow of Heaven.

Also, while Finding Nemo is cool, Charlie's Angels 2 tries to be cool. And fails. Nemo is fun, fresh, and endearing (that whale-talk! and the "dude" tortoises!). CA is filled by too many vertical flips to convey its coolness, which isn't there. Am marveled on their speed to apply make-up perfectly after those fighting though.

Overall, I like MAtrix Reloaded better. The action scenes are mostly more believable.

Feel guilty for a reason.

MG2 ep 29 and 30 are surprisingly likeable. Good, even. But still don't care about Mei Zuo and Siao Ciao. She keeps wavering between good and weird looking though. I think it's mainly because of her hairstyle. And really, a musician should have more than one instrument. Especially if the musician were that good.

And Brother Sha is really useless. Annoying too. Too many character in MG2 there because they are needed to put the ring on some point.

Ye Sha's letter is quite touching. But the seashore scene is, again, pointless. Maybe they intended it to give Budan some culture, but I maintain that this scene is unnecessary. And (spoiler spoiler) they don't show the separation of Ye Sha and DMS. That leaves an empty spot, because Ye Sha always wavers between keeping DMS for herself of letting him go to San Cai. This time, she decides to let him go (again), and there's no why explained. Is it just because she knows DMS' memory is finally back? Nevertheless, the tone of her letter is quite able to make this matter not questioned much further. That tone conveys no hard feelings and lightness; and it's very suitable of her former self.

I don't have the last episode, so I can't speak about it. But in the ending credit for ep 30, there's some extra scene, and DMFeng dancing with her henchmen in the hall is just hilarious. It ruins her image. Thankfully they put it in the end, because after watching it you just can't view her the same way.

On another note, I have write the first sentence. Though strictly speaking, if I use it, it will be in the middle.

Now about TeniPuri. I watched it at random, but it's one of the plus point of the series: knowing the basic premise and some characters' data is enough. You can start anywhere you like (or in my case, any episode you happen to get first). On the other hand, if you happen to get the episode after a big match, there's big possibilities that that one is filler. Some of them are enjoyable (even very amusing), some are boring.

But ep 71 is one of the amusing fillers. Love the jumbled and tangled interaction between them. The amusing bits: how Kamio kept saying "Ann-chan!". How Fuji maintained to ignore Mizuki entirely. How Kamio and Momo get caught at the sight of Fuji laughing with Ann. And the best scene of course belong to Kaidoh. Especially when his fervent imagination, bless him, supplied him with the picture of Inui running and laughing "Ha-ha-ha-ha~" with him. Poor guy.

And ep 22 also mainly features Kaidoh. I think this episode preview is voiced by Atobe. Love when he says nonchalantly "Who is this Kaidoh?" when he reads the title (Kaidoh's Misfortune or something).

About Shopaholic Abroad: now that the first book used bills overload and this one uses, um, shopping overload and its exposure, I wonder what catasthrope will appear in the third book. I only know that it's about the wedding, though. And the formula of this book is still same: Becky will pull herself out of her problem by luck and much help from her friends and family. Put emphasis on luck.

And MG2 ep 25-27: this Amei arc is such a waste of time. She's a nice girl, true, but there's no contribution she could give to the overall story, rather than prolonged screentime. Oh, and maybe to point out that Lei is lovable. And to put the ring back into the story.

Ep 28 has a quite nice drama, methinks. The meteor scene is so ironic. And as always, Lei stands as foul-weather friend.

MG2 ep 22-24: DMFeng is very smart, I grant her that. I mean, she usually doesn't bother with superficial affection, but her words to Ye Sha are an exception. And the return of DMS from amnesia land isn't as I expected. I mean, he does nothing! Really nothing.

Mei Zuo - Siao Ciao's scene is quite pointless. Or rather, Siao Ciao is pointless. And Vaness, your confidence is admirable. This is the first instance I can see the "Calvin-Klein style", so to speak.

Oh, and PoT ep 65-68: it just isn't possible to anyone not to love Tezuka after watching the eps. He's so admirable. 37-something for tie break after that spasm? And still pulling the Tezuka-zone and zero-shiki (sometimes combined)? Magnificent. Pity in ep 74 or something there's this "Farewell, Tezuka Kunimitsu" title. And damn you Atobe, although he slightly redeemed himself in the end. And what's with the narcissistic show?

Ang the Hyotei subs (I think it's Hiyoshi)'s first movement is so amusing. He looks like a great bird.

More later, but yesterday at Pluit I get PoT ep. 21-40, all while the seller tried to convince me amusingly to collect the series. Now I'm off to watch Finding Nemo.

Did some stupid things and compelled to go back to Gramedia. But today I get so many things: Rurouni Kenshin 28, Recca 23, and Hikaru no Go 16 in the manga section. I also got myself Mahabharata and Le Petit Prince, plus, um, the sequel of Shopaholic. I'm so shallow.

And for MG2, I only covered 3 more episodes so far. For ep 19-21. the thousghts are as follows: one thing that make this season that long, among others, is that they tried to give every character some love story. See Ximen's parents. There's some exception though, for Dao Ming Feng. And who could tell, maybe she's having something too with that Yutian. They look quite compatible and comfortable enough with each other. ;-P

And while we are at it, is Ximen a family name? I think if F4 are that close to one another, they should be on given name basis, shouldn't they? Yet the company is named Ximen Corp, the father is called CEO Ximen, and even his mother is called Ximen Fu Ren.

Another thing about Ximen: is there any room in a hospital that has a bed like that? With colourful bedcover, and frilly bedsheet? And does Jaguar make custom-based vehicles?

Oh, and Mei Zuo is a dork. But don't we all know that.

HnG 16 is full of Isumi, who is very pretty now. In a good way. Love how Hotta-sensei develops him. Recca is full of cuteness, especially Koganei. And finally Kenshin ends here. They didn't put "Yahiko no Sakabatou" in this book, though. Wonder what series they choose to replace it. Heard a rumor that they will publish Fruits Basket, but until today it's still a rumor.

In Kenshin, on the copyright page, they put a disclaimer about them modifying violent and sexually graphic scenes. Violence yes, but does Kenshin have sexually graphic scene? Really. If you want to strecth it, they could put this disclaimer, like, 10 volumes ago. For Kamatari.

And although Here Comes The Sun is interesting, rather similar to Terry Pratchett's writing, the humours are refreshing and amusing, and this is the first time the main character bears my name, I'm stuck.

Same remark goes to Ep 16-18. It mainly consist of Dao Ming Feng's cunningness, and Everyone Else's denseness for not noticing it. Didn't they suffer from it once?

And sleeping in the open air like San Cai and Lei did is bound to bring some mosquito bites. Wonder why it's only Brother Sha who got them.

Some things also never change. DMS' temperament, for example. And his ineptitude. First egg, now it's photocopier.

And Dao Ming Feng's diamond necklace is beautiful.

Am getting bored, thus I'll just review MG2 in clumps. Ep 13-15 are all drama, anyway. Random impression: Mimi is quite pretty at the second sight. It's probably enhanced by her choice of clothes at the time too. And the doctor is so good that he could make that many diagnoses, even predicting oh-so-surely when Ye Sha will start to have the effect of Meningoencephalitis (yes, I think I spell it right).

And Lei has redeemed himself from being a useless person by helping San Cai yet again. But the toad joke is so tasteless. And I still keep my view for the time being that San Cai and Lei is actually incompatible. Lei is good being her foul-weather friend, but not more.

MG2 - Ep 8: Mei Zuo's temper tantrum, which I have described some time ago.

Ep 9: Qing He is so adorable. He's actually likeable, if not because his garish and tasteless appearance (and sometimes attitude too). The hairstyle is sufficient for an example. And actually, if this drama happened in real life, he would match San Cai quite well if DMS was paired with Ye Sha eventually. Yes, because I don't like Lei at all. He's just a dork.

Ep 10: Qing He isn't that adorable, come to think again. I mean, throwing money like that is just wrong. If you want to give it, give it personally, otherwise, other people could pick it up. Especially when the money is, what, approx. 120.000 NT?

Ep 11: the drama bit is quite good actually. Other than that, this episode (and the few episode before and after it) is rather filler-ish and useless. Will elaborate more.

Ep 12: the clearest technical mistake: San Cai's clothes miraculously changed while she was running. And it's a scene that's easily re-shot. And this episode is clearly filler. What kind of contribution the elders' meeting can give to the plot? Except more anguish to San Cai, of course.

And Prince of Tennis ep 60: love Taka-san "Very very burning~!". Love all his exclamations. Kabaji's Ush is also very amusing (watch the end of ep 59/60 for the preview narrated by Atobe. Simply priceless.). And eventhough I almost always prefer the book (or in this case, the manga), my liking PoT is swinging towards the anime.

Managed to watch MTV Movie Awards 2003. Very amusing, especially the Matrix spoof. Love the "Ergo! Concordantly! Vis-a-vis!". And Gollum's performance was simply priceless and delighting. Does that mean that Gobby is now official and canon? Gollum did say that Dobby liked him. And did he call Peter Jackson my precious?

But the local TV cut the whole part of "Best Kiss". And it's Adrien Brody, damn you! They also translated orgy as conversation, BTW.

Oh, and MG2-episode 4: that laugh /again/. And DMS couldn't tie his shoelace? That's so wrong. If he could wear his clothes, he should be able to tie the shoelace as well. They're the same kind of memory. And San Cai + F3 hugging reminds me painfully of Teletubies.

And how could Vaness wear flowery and transparent shirts? I thought he's the pickiest when it comes to appearance. Except, of course, that he likes that kind of appearance.

Ep 5: you need to suspend your disbelief to enjoy it. Zhong Ze can still talk and look quite healthy, despite being stabbed on the back and left overnight. And there's no smatter of blood on the floor too. Also, Xi Men could swing carelessly that cutter, yet that swing could precisely cut the handcuff.

Ep 6: I actually like DMS and Ye Sha's interaction. They have some chemistry here. And San Cai's persistence is also admirable, judging from her reluctance in the first season.

Ep 7: Mei Zuo is so emotional now. I still remember how indifferent he was in the first season. And sometimes Lei's role is just to throw pointless and worthless sentences. Well, as long as he has screen time, who cares anyway? And sometimes I can't help but think that F3 role is just as San Cai's moneybag.

Went to TA, and the new poster there is for some horror movie. At this rate, Charlie's Angels 2 will reach the cinema before Finding Nemo. Weird, considering they have put the merchandises for sale. How would people buy them if they don't know any of the characters?

And my blood pressure is going down again, after quite a long time of normalcy.

About HP5--the writing is as good as ever. JKR portrays adolescents well. And I maintain that in order to make a good visualisation of this book, they have to make it into mini-series.

As usual, spoiler for Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix. Highlight to read.

It seems that there's less bang than usual (it's clear that JKR had writer's block--the story is more fragmented than usual). There's little surprise, compared to, say, Book 3. Or rather, all the previous books. But even if the action scenes aren't that grand, the psychological effect is much more pronounced. Hell, this massive book is mainly probing Harry's emotions. It's not so much of what he do than what he feel. Wonder how parents will react to this.

But is it just me or Ron is more subdued than usual? The limelight is more to Hermione than Ron in this one. Same applies to Draco. And seems like JKR always like to put an annoying character in nearly every book. Hem, hem.

The bottom line? As cliche as it is, poor Harry. And no, the new layout is really not intentional. I made it ages ago. Also surprisingly, this morning when I checked the referrer, the first referrer for today is so spoilerish. Even before I post this one.
