About this blog:
I usually write about the manga that I'm currently reading. At times, I write about the anime I watched. Since it is hard to share and talk my thoughts about a certain manga series when people don't know about it, I tend to summarize them from Chinese scanlations so beware, this blog is filled with spoilers and they are not 100% perfect. I'm partly doing this to improve my Chinese. ^^ Feel free to point out my mistakes. ^^ Occasionally, I would blog about myself and other misc. things.

Free Talk: SB! 164 and Jump Series' Reaction
Wednesday, October 6, 2010
Skip beat 164 in Chinese is out and thank God that the teaser I wrote before is correct. Hehe, I got somewhat nervous when someone suddenly question of the possibility of it being fake. ^^; Anyway, I think it is really nice how Kyouko made her ‘enemies’ in Box’R into her friends that they even encouraged her to go check it out since their director already left to see what happened. Since one of the girls also ran to check it out because she is a fan of Ren, it is only then they begin to wonder if Kyouko also likes Ren since they had the exact same expression.
On a side note, let me comment a bit about some of the Jump series. Bleach’s Aizen arc seems to have finally finished. It would be nice if the author could give a definite status on Gin. ^^; Anyway, with something’s up with Ichigo, I wonder if this would be the cliche plot of after the hero goes helping everyone, everyone will now help the hero. One Piece’s characters makeover is okay, I guess but that x-scar mark on Luffy’s chest is really distracting. Since this is a pirate-based story, I cannot help think if that x is like a mark for the treasure chest..subliminal meaning that the treasure is in one’s heart? ^^; Gintama seems to be spoofing about One Piece’s meeting after two years. I think it’s hilarious like Kagura becoming a beauty, Gin is like DBZ’s Yamcha, Otae married Kondou, Okita becoming S emperor of shinigami, etc. Of course, it ended in a Gintama-typical way..seems like it is just a brainwashing or something that Shinpachi has to hit the others with paper fans. ^^; Hehe, I don’t read Gintama thoroughly since I enjoy it more in the anime which I finally get to watch the latest one ^^ Yay..and too bad, the fansubs are still far from the Japanese release. ^^; There’s a new character in Beelzebub and I wonder if Oga will become like that when he grows up. I’m left wondering where the story is heading now. I guess it is really popular enough that there will be an anime of it soon. ^^ I find the fight in Katekyo Hitman Reborn! of Ryohei and glasses guy as lame. It’s even irritating that it is a tie. I think those who commissioned the Vindice to give a key after every fight is a sadist since it will be really ironic that they learn of the ‘truth of the past’ after they fight. Oh well, I guess it will be nice for those enemies to angst that they were wrong about Vongola. Hm..I wonder what the author is planning with that pervert glasses guy and Chrome. I can no longer relate to D. Grayman, it is too out-of-this-world and the art isn’t that good anymore. I guess everything went downhill after the author’s long hiatus. Anyway, I’m still trying to catch up to Nurarihyon No Mago..still in chapter 111. I think what’s nice about this series is how the others actually lend a hand, with their powers, to help the hero. It’s really teamwork. As to who he’ll end up with, I’m hoping for the ice girl =P
Anyway, I’m still waiting for manga dump which I’m expecting to come out around this weekend but it seems that everyone is busy these days so that’s not definite. I still have some pending chapters to do so I’m currently doing those while waiting. ^^

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu [Chapter 71]
Monday, October 4, 2010
While thinking that of course she doesn’t want him to, flustered Tsubaki exclaims, “Stop joking around..” Kyouta happily pats surprised Tsubaki’s head and says, “You’re not the type of person who would say those kind of nonsense things, right? That’s what I like about you!” Tsubaki immediately says that of course, compared to love, the future outlook is more important. She stands up and continues to say, “On the contrary, if you say that you are going to change your aspiration because of me, then, I would feel that I was wrong about you. And, are you really going to Kyoto? *pushes the magazine back to him* Isn’t Aomiya a difficult school just like Todai so even if it’s you, it going to be very hard to get in, right?” Kyouta angrily says, “Why you..” Tsubaki tells him that she has to go to her cram class. Looking at the clock [4:13pm], Kyouta says that there is still time. Tsubaki tells him that it is her first day so she wants to go early. “So, see you tomorrow!” Tsubaki walks away while Kyouta looks at her. While walking at the hallway, Tsubaki thinks that it is obvious that their entrance exam won’t be at the same time, and of course, the first choice will be Todai. What she just said isn’t nonsense either -‘future outlook is more important’-, so it is inevitable if their aspirations aren’t the same. “Honestly, I already know this but even if it is like that, I also do not want to separate from Tsubaki-kun..” Tsubaki drops her shoes from the shoe lockers and starts to cry [/feel really frustrated]. “Doesn’t Tsubaki-kun..have this kind of feeling, too..?”
Walking inside the cram school, Tsubaki gloomily thinks that she was so much in shock that she actually said that even if it’s Tsubaki-kun, he won’t be able pass the entrance exam but actually, it is because it’s Tsubaki-kun, he’ll definitely be able to get in. She wonders how long the travel time to Kyoto is. While looking at the bulletin board, she is surprised to see a poster about a lecture about the course of aeronautics and space science in Aomiya University by Kaminaga Takeshi. She thinks that person Kyouta is talking about will have a lecture this weekend. She quickly tries to get a pen from her bag to write it down and tell Kyouta about it. She hesitates when she remembers him saying about it being nonsense [<-asking him to stay]. She walks past the bulletin board while holding her pen and notebook. She then turns around and thinks that she ought to still write it down. Just when she is about to write it down, a glasses guy suddenly tears off the poster and walks away. Tsubaki shouts for him to stop when a girl shouts, “Stop, that glasses guy over there!!” The glasses guy turns around and asks what. The girl shouts at him that poster isn’t meant for him to take it away. “Before going to a cram school, you should learn some common sense first!” The girl manages to get the poster back as the irritated looking glasses guy left. While the girl is sticking the poster back on the bulletin board, Tsubaki looks at her and thinks that uniform is from Nariyoshi High, her first choice for high school but she wasn’t able to get in. She blushes when the girl looks at her and smiles. The girl happily asks if she is also interested in professor Kaminagi and is her aspiration also in the field of aeronautics. Tsubaki says no, it isn’t. Blushing, she tells the girl that it is the interest of her friend so if she told him about it, he’ll definitely be happy. The girl asks if it’s a boyfriend. Surprised, Tsubaki admits that it is. The girl sighs and asks isn’t that thing [romance] just utter nonsense. She takes a picture of the flyer on her cellphone [<- why take notes when you can take a picture of it =P] and asks shouldn’t one be more serious in concentrating in one’s studies in order to pass the entrance exam. While walking away, she says, “If one is so much immerse in love, then one won’t be able to smoothly pass the exam--”
Tsubaki is shaking in anger as she clenches her fist tight. She remembers again what Kyouta said that it is nonsense to ask him to stay. Tsubaki shouts that it isn’t nonsense. “I have changed because I have met Tsubaki-kun. I didn’t, in the least bit, thought that liking Tsubaki-kun is a waste of time..!!” The girl tries to say, “Ah..that..also who is Tsubaki-kun.” Tsubaki turns to face her and shouts, “And..during junior high, I also did my very best by myself but [the dream of] going to the dream school is still totally extinguished. Failing in the exam is absolutely not someone else’s fault!” With that, Tsubaki angrily walks away. The others are talking what’s with that and she even said the history of her past failure. The girl just looks at Tsubaki’s direction and says, “Eh--..” In the classroom, Tsubaki is about to take something from her folder when someone presses it down. She looks up to see that it is the girl earlier. The girl asks, “What’s your name?” Tsubaki looks nervous since that girl went after her. Tsubaki timidly says, “Hi..Hibino..” The girl looks down at her and says, “Hey, Hibino, to a person who’ll directly refute me like that, I absolutely admire!! *smiles with sparkles and holds out her hand* My name is Kikuduki Youko [invented name based on the kanji]. Please be my friend.” Tsubaki looks surprised at her and she blurts out, “Ha?” The scene changes back to school. During lunch break, Tsubaki tells Kyouta about what happened. Kyouta laughs out loud and exclaims isn’t that good because it is like a miracle for her to get a friend on the first day. Tsubaki asks if that can be called a friend. Kyouta buys a packaged drink. While he is putting the straw in, Tsubaki gives him a piece of paper and tells him that she saw that poster in her cram school. She tells him that the lecture will be held at Kyoto and she doesn’t know if it is useful or not. [The note says the lecture is on Jan 26th. This is for an idea of the timeline ^^]
She exclaims in surprised when Kyouta drops the drink he is holding. Kyouta happily hugs her and says that he’ll definitely go. “[Or rather,] I should say, ah..you are really great.” Tsubaki blushes and tries to tell him that everyone is looking at them. Kyouta tells her that he is actually quite startled. Tsubaki is puzzled. He tells her that it is because she is acting strange after he told her that he was going to study college in Kyoto. Holding her shoulder, he says that he never imagined that she would help him to that extent and what she did really made him happy. “I’m really thankful [to you].” Tsubaki puts on a smile and holds his hand that was holding his shoulder. She tells him that the choice of helping one’s boyfriend is inevitable as a girlfriend. “So, as a boyfriend, Tsubaki-kun..regarding the issue of separating, even a little bit is okay..[I] hope that you’ll also feel a bit lonely. That way..I can feel like supporting you more from the bottom of my heart. Then..let’s do our best for the [entrance] exams..” Tsubaki turns around to leave with a tear in her eye. She stops when Kyouta asks what’s with that separation thing. “Is Tokyo that far from Kyoto?” Shaking in shock, Tsubaki tells him that Kyoto is in Kansai. Kyouta says that isn’t the issue. “Even if I went to a Kyoto university, if I wanted to see you, then I’ll quickly go and see you so I totally won’t feel lonely at all. So, I feel that it is nonsense to be troubled about this issue of me going to Kyoto..” Flustered Tsubaki tells him that he is the only one who thinks that way for any normal person would think that Kyoto is really far away. Kyouta casually says that it isn’t far. Tsubaki exclaims that it is. Kyouta tells her that they go verify it then. While holding up the note she gave him, Kyouta asks, “How about you go with me to Kyoto?” So, it has been decided that they will go on a trip to Kyoto on Saturday.
And so, we have a new character..and, it is a girl. There is a high chance of a problem arising soon since most of the girls in this series are usually the type who’ll give Tsubaki problems..imagined or for real, because one way or the other, they usually have something to do with Kyouta. If Youko becomes a love rival, Tsubaki would have her bouts of ‘inferiority complex’ again since this girl shares the same interest as Kyouta. It does make one want to groan since Tsubaki usually have the short end of the stick in this relationship. I have a feeling that Youko is Tsubaki’s exact opposite since she is quite vocal and doesn’t seem interested in a love life. Is that an assurance that Kyouta won’t fall for this girl? Interestingly, for Kyouta, distance isn’t a problem. It does seem that Tsubaki is really to let him go if it ever comes to that point. Well, with modern technology these days, I think it is easier to keep in touch with each other and it doesn’t take a long time anymore to go from one place to another with modern transportation. The main problem will be how to keep the other party interested in you especially since they would most definitely meet a lot more people in college. Long distance relationship needs more work and dedication..well, it will certainly test their love for each other. Of course, it will be nice if after everything, in the end, that person is still the one, whom one will end up with. ^^ Well, I’m getting ahead of myself..there might be not much of a problem if like Kyouta wasn’t able to get in that college =P Scans by by Mercury Studio.

Skip Beat! [Chapter 164] Teaser
Saturday, October 2, 2010
A teaser is out in baidu. The necklace has fallen down. It made Kyouko uneasy because it could be a bad omen that something bad is going to happen during the shooting. During the rehearsal, Ren drives the car perfectly. During the actual shooting, Kijimathe stuntman’s car (and Ren’s car) hit each other when a kid suddenly came out. The screech of the brakes can be overheard where Kyouko is shooting. The director (Oogata/Box’R’s?) heard that there is a car (went out of control) accident nearby. Kyouko contemplates if she should go or not. Then after seeing people are going to check it out, Kyouko suddenly dashes out reckless, running with all her might, and [it is either the others or Kyouko herself] wondering if she likes Ren [since she is running that fast]. No details are known if anyone is hurt, etc about the accident. And of course, that will be resolved in the next chapter.
Kurobara Alice [Chapter 15]
Saturday, October 2, 2010
Alice starts looking around and finds an antique kimono that she would want to try out. She thinks that she feels happier when she is with Kai because he didn’t confessed and she is always like that, since she tends to go to someone who isn’t manly and make him her friend but after what happened with Leo, she should properly do what she has to do. While looking around, she finds a diary written in Japanese. She flips the pages and thinks that a lot has been written and whose is it. She then spots the words ‘Dimitri-sama’ and ‘I really feel’. Then, Kai starts telling Alice to please understand Reiji more since he isn’t good at talking yet he is kind and can be very manly to become Alice’s.. He turns around to see that Alice is already gone. In her room, Alice tosses the diaries [around 10, I think] on her bed. She opens one diary and finds a picture of Dimitri with a girl and two other men. At the back, it is written December 5, 1923, father, with Dimitri-sama and Maximilian-sama. Alice reads that she [Akiko; writer of the diary; invented name based on the kanji] decided to write a diary on January 1, 1923, after her father laughed that she cannot write past 3 days. Alice flips the pages and indeed she didn’t write anything after 3 days. She started writing again on March 19th. On March 19th, they have visitors and she is absolutely sure that they aren’t humans. “I believe what they said! They are absolutely true blue vampires!” Flashback with narration from Akiko: The black haired guy is said to know father while he was in Germany and with him is this guy with sand-like hair colored man. Their appearances are not like of a human. Dimitri looked up and saw Akiko. He smiled and Akiko blushed. The housekeeper informed Akiko’s father of some foreign visitor whose name is Dimitri. The housekeeper told him that Dimitri told her that he sang for the madame’s birthday party while they were in Germany. Akiko’s father finally remembered who Dimitri is for how could he forget that young singer who lives with Marquis Mayer in Vienna for he is a beautiful young man. The housekeeper asked if she would let them in. Akiko’s father told her to do so since he didn’t expect Dimitri to specially come to Japan. Akiko wrote that she is really surprised to see this black haired visitor of her father called Dimitri.
Upon seeing Akiko’s father, Dimitri bowed and greeted him as Count Izumi Koji. He apologizes for visiting without a gift and he is really happy to see that he is doing fine [<- healthy]. Looking surprised, Izumi asked if he is Dimitri..Lewandowski Dimitri. Dimitri said that is right. Izumi told him that he had a very deep impression of him for he was really captivated by him that day of his performance. Still bowing, Dimitri thanked him for the praise. Izumi said that it was already 20 years ago so how old should Dimitri be, he should be around 40, yet he looked the same as before. Dimitri just looked somewhat sad. Akiko wrote that his father had many foreign visitors but it is the first time she has seen such a mysterious man. Sitting at the living room, Izumi commented that he is very much surprised at how fluent Dimitri spoke in Japanese when he could speak a single word while he was in Vienna. Izumi dismissed it as Dimitri wanting to learn that he practiced and learned since that day on. Dimitri told him that he doesn’t want to waste a lot of the Count’s precious time so he quickly jump to the main topic. Dimitri told him that he needed his help and that is why he went to that country. Surprised, Izumi asked what it is. Dimitri apologized to him for asking of this all of a sudden but at the same time, he would give him a gift. Dimitri said that he remembered Izumi like to collect strange artifacts and documents from around the world. Izumi laughed and said that is true and it is an awful hobby. Speaking of that, he also obtained a precious book from Marquis Mayer. He then asked how the Marquis and his son are. Dimitri paused then just asked if this hobby has not changed until now. Izumi admitted that it is true. Dimitri commented that it is good to hear. “Actually, today, I came to give you a really precious thing and that is a living vampire. And, we are that vampires.” Akiko peeked in and thought that the vampires she knew are those who sleep during the day and go out to attack people at night but weren’t they suppose to turn into ash because of the sunlight. Her father asked a lot of questions for it seem that he doesn’t believe them. Dimitri quietly listened and answered every question with patience but for Akiko, it seemed that the one beside Dimitri is looking quite gloomy. She thinks that he is unhappy because her father is doubting his master [Dimitri].
Then, something unbelievable happened. Dimitri stood up and told Izumi that he is going to show him some familiars and their powers with this cello case that Maximilian is carrying. Dimitri reached for the stick insect on the case. It went to him and the case became a beautiful sleeping girl [Agnieska]. Akiko thought that this is like a miracle. Dimitri told Izumi that girl is living yet forever sleeping so they have to hide her in an illusion in order not to attract attention while they were walking in the streets. Causing an illusion is the power of his stick insect familiar. Dimitri demonstrated it again with the table. He let it go on the table and it turned into a ‘bamboo water feature’. Akiko exclaimed in surprised that her father shouted for her to go to her room. Akiko just said yes but she stayed put since she wanted to keep on watching this magic. Dimitri took the insect from the ‘table’ and it became a table again. To Izumi’s surprise, Dimitri ‘eats’ the insect. Dimitri told him that they need all sorts of abilities in order to exist in this world and that includes knowing how to speak Japanese fluently. He used a familiar in order for him to learn the language within a day. He knew German, French, Italian, English and others. All in all, he can speak 16 languages. Dimitri showed him a golden beetle-like insect and told him that if it enters a human, it can learn that person’s mother tongue and when it entered his body, he would know how to speak in that language. Izumi laughed it off and said that it is too convenient for him to learn 16 languages just by eating some insect. Maximilian angrily shouted back that while Dimitri is living, he is a great man who already knew 6 languages. “The vampire seed would not choose an inferior person.” Dimitri told Maximilian that modesty is a virtue in this country so if he said it like that, it would seem that they are arrogant. Izumi said no and he apologizes for his rudeness. Dimitri smiled and told him that he knew various languages because he performed in different countries and most of it is from the training that he got from Marquis Mayer. Dimitri put the golden insect on the table and told him that he is going to lend it to him. He guarantee that in just one night sleep, he’ll be able to think of speaking in Japanese but what he’ll speak will be 15 various languages.
He told Izumi that with it, he can confirm this ability and he can make it learn other languages that Izumi would want to know. He can experience this ability firsthand. Dimitri told him that in the last 15 years, they have been traveling and have attained a lot of experiences but he decided that it is time to find a nest. They need people who’ll understand..or rather, people who can totally accept them. As they go from different places, he remembered the count and it is good that he chose only the count. “Please let us be part of your collection. I hope you can let us stay here..not temporarily but rather, live here for a long time in order to breed smoothly to add to our strength. Of course, you also can use our bodies for whatsoever experiments. We came here to you in full awareness of obeying whatever it is that you desire. Please have pity upon us, strange beings. I believe that it is under God’s care, that I was able to meet you while I was still living.” After saying that they will come back tomorrow to talk, Dimitri and his companion left. Akiko always looked at his father who is in that room together with that golden insect. After a few hours, her father suspiciously looked at that insect for around 10 minutes. And in the end, he ate it. On the second day, a miracle happened to the count. Izumi suddenly can speak various languages and understand many things [<- I think the last part is more on knowing how to read his strange documents]. This had made Izumi really excited over this. And, that is how Izumi is totally made into a captive by the vampires and those two men moved in the house. Akiko couldn’t believe that she will be living in the same house as vampires. Dimitri would even gorgeously bow at her when greeting her. Akiko blushed as she wrote that just by looking at his eyes, she is totally captivated by him that she couldn’t take her eyes off him. She wondered if she will get use to this and her heart is beating so fast that she thought that she is going to die. End flashback. Alice laughs and thinks that Akiko is quite cute. And, Dimitri’s life of living in the Count’s place starts.. Meanwhile at the cafe, Reiji laments that Alice isn’t coming and blames himself because his method [of inviting her to the cafe] is too foolish. Trying to cheer him up, Kai tells him that it isn’t foolish but rather, it’s quite ordinary. Reiji laments that if it is common then it means that he is just an ‘ordinary guy’ who doesn’t have any charisma. Kai tensely tries to tell him that isn’t what he meant.
Reiji continues to say that probably he didn’t invite Alice good enough but then, nothing would progress if he didn’t say anything. Looking at Dimitri who is telling fortunes to a customer, Reiji says that Dimitri ought to know a lot of techniques on how to bait girls for he can easily get girls into the palm of his hand. Kai tells him that it isn’t definite that Alice likes that kind of guy. Reiji continues to say that Dimitri is still ‘superiorly manly’ and what is he to do to be like that. Back in the room, Alice happily continues to read Akiko’s diary about everyday is a colorful one for Akiko while living together with Dimitri. Flashback: Akiko wrote that Dimitri and Maximilian wore kimono but the cloth look a bit short that she carelessly let out a laugh nevertheless, it’s really amazing. Dimitri happily told her that he always wanted to wear one since in his motherland, everyone thought that it is a coat. He explained that when he is relaxing, he will not wear the inside part of the garment but only the outer one so it looked like a coat. He told her that the things from Japan are quite fashionable then that his room had a lot of Japanese masks for acting like female masks or demon masks. Akiko asked if it isn’t a bit scary to have masks in one’s room. Dimitri smiled and said that it is very beautiful even if it is a bit scary inside. Akiko wrote that Dimitri can speak Japanese very fluently and even if one can say that it is the same as ambassadors but it just feels Dimitri’s isn’t the same because it is like Dimitri is singing a song. (Alice muses that it is true.) Akiko’s ears had become intoxicated with this beautiful sound/voice. After shopping, Dimitri told Akiko not to add ‘sama’ to their names for she is the ojousama whom they ought to obey. Akiko thought of Dimitri as to be like a fairy from some fantasy world so she couldn’t bring herself to call him ordinarily like a person and because Maximilian is unhappy with people who treats Dimitri rudely, she decided to call him ‘elder brother’ [onii-san] instead of the ‘-sama’. “Dimitri would always smile very gently at me.”
Miss Agnieska is like a doll who would not wake up and she’s a very beautiful girl. Everyday, Maximilian would comb her golden hair until it shines. She had asked him before if Agnieska is Dimitri’s younger sister. Maximilian would only say no and he won’t tell her what their relationship is. Akiko has seen the insects coming out of the mouth. (Alice thinks that maybe it is because she is a kid or because her father is an eccentric that she was just surprised at first but she quickly got used to it. Akiko even wrote that she found the insects cute for they are arranged like a group. Alice muses that it seems she lost to Akiko regarding that.) One day, Akiko called out to Dimitri and showed him that they have dressed up Agnieska in a kimono. Agnieska looked absolutely cute in it. Looking at Agnieska, Dimitri muttered Agnieska’s name then he looks flustered. Akiko noticed that Dimitri didn’t move and just kept looking at Agnieska. She didn’t know if he looked happy or sorrowful since it is the first time she saw that expression on him. She wondered if a guy would look this way at a girl. She felt really depressed that she couldn’t smile. She held her hands tight and thought that this feeling is quite strange. Flustered, Akiko realized that she has fallen in love with Dimitri..she likes Dimitri-sama. And seeing how Dimitri looked, she realized that Dimitri really loves Agnieska from the bottom of his heart. “Maximilian-sama also said it, Agnieska is the person whom Dimitri had always cared for [/worried about]. No matter how many years have already passed until now, Dimitri still deeply loves Agnieska. I think that hence after, Dimitri-sama will never love another woman ever again.” End flashback. Alice re-reads that last two lines. She remembers Dimitri looking at her and said, “I like you, Alice.” Alice then looks at the mirror then thinks, “Ah..what, so that’s it. That expression..he is saying it towards this person. So that’s what it was.”
At the cafe, Dimitri picks a tarot card and it is the hermit card. He then looks sideways. Meanwhile, Alice continues to read the diary wherein Akiko stayed in bed the whole time on the second day. She laid down and wished for Dimitri to come see her yet she felt that it is becoming more painful. She told him not to come because she felt uncomfortable and he told her that he understand so she should take care of herself. He then left a bunch of grapes before leaving. Hearing his voice and footsteps caused her more pain as she wondered what she should do. That night, she didn’t have any appetite to eat yet she came out of her room. Upon seeing her, Dimitri rushed to her side and asked if she is alright. She timidly said yes. Dimitri lightly patted her head and gently hugged her. This time around, Akiko really felt that her chest would burst and she’ll die. End flashback. With a somewhat cold expression, Alice continues to read the diary. It is written that there is an earthquake on September 1st. [<- 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake] A lot of the buildings collapsed and were destroyed but their house didn’t and it is thanks to Dimitri. Alice thinks that house is this current house she is living. She feels that it is fast approaching the present time. “This isn’t a story, it is a diary. Can I keep on reading this diary to its ‘ending’?” And so, it seems that Dimitri is seducing a young girl and using his father for their own purposes/advantages. Dimitri really chose the right person. It makes me think that he is really talented and everything except that he doesn’t have the ‘status’ and the ‘girl’ to make it complete..while he’s living. Anyway, I guess it just goes to show that vampires are ‘parasites’ which is still in the theme of what insects do. It really seems that the twins are no match for Dimitri. The guy is really smooth and everything and well, he has a ‘mysterious/dangerous’ aura about him that some or rather most girls would find captivating. Well, he is already a ladies’ man before he died so now that he is a vampire, his level ought to be really high than other ‘ordinary’ men as Reiji put it. He really suits to be a vampire. In reading the diary, I think it can give Alice some insight on Dimitri’s nature or how he thinks but then, this is from the perspective of a girl in love with Dimitri so I think, it will be mostly his good side. Hehe, that can of course make Alice think that Dimitri is tricking this young girl. =P I also wonder if Alice will now keep on thinking at the back of her mind if Dimitri really do like her or it is the body of Agnieska. Mei-chan no Shitsuji [Chapters 83-87]
Thursday, September 30, 2010
The next day, Shinnosuke is throwing a pebble in the lake when Kiba called out to him as a zashiki-warashi. They introduce each other and Kiba offered him some onigiri [rice balls]. Shinnosuke ended up spitting them out since they are too sweet. Shinnosuke cannot believe that Kiba mistook sugar for salt but then, he decided to eat it since it is better than what the ox demons are serving him. Kiba then offered him some tea which made Shinnosuke wonder if there’s nothing wrong with the tea. Kiba looked at the lake and said that a long time ago, there is a lake at his hometown. Shinnosuke is surprised and said that a girl jumped in the lake, turned into a dragon and made it rain. Kiba exclaimed how he knew. After Shinnosuke explained, Kiba is surprised that the story is in a picture book since he heard it from his grandmother. He told Shinnosuke that his family is originally from the religious festival Ryujin [dragon god]’s miko [shrine maiden] aristocrat family. Shinnosuke is amazed by this but when someone is calling out to Kiba, Shinnosuke quickly disappears again. It made Kiba think that Shin [<-nickname] is a zashiki-warashi. Shinnosuke is running off happily since he is excited that the story in the book is real and could it be that the dragon maiden really exists. At the kitchen, Kiba learned more about Shinnosuke from the maid who told him not to talk much with Shinnosuke since he is a weird child who would lock himself up in the room and would always play with insects and lizards which are disgusting. Then, lately he hasn’t been eating that he has become quite thin. Since his two elder brothers grew up well, Shinnosuke has been giving the master [father] a lot of headache. Kiba is a bit worried about Shin. In his room, Shinnosuke thought that no matter how much he read the book, he still doesn’t understand why the girl would save that village and he would understand it if the girl get rid of those people after turning into a dragon. Shinnosuke looked at the lizard on his finger and thought that it would be nice if it turned into a dragon. He looked surprised when someone barged in and called out his name. Later on, Kiba protested to the father as to why Shinnosuke is locked up in the storage room. The father said that Shinnosuke won’t grow up as a proper adult if he didn’t do that and even if he has three boys, Shinnosuke isn’t conscious of being in the Toujou family. Kiba protested that Shinnosuke is still a kid. To his surprise, the father is sending Kiba back to the Ryuoniji family. He didn’t know what happened but Shinnosuke kept on believing that Kiba is going to save him and saying some foolishness about the ryujin’s miko. The father reminded Kiba that he is an outsider so why don’t he quickly head back and protect his ojousama.
At the storage room, Shinnosuke is crying while muttering that it will be alright since Kiba is going to save him. He becomes excited when Kiba called out to him. But it is short-lived since Kiba told him that he is going back to the Ryuoniji family. Shinnosuke asked him to bring him along but Kiba said that he couldn’t do that. When Shinnosuke asked why, Kiba told him that the only one who can save him is himself. Shinnosuke started to cry and said that he doesn’t understand and please let him out. To his surprise, Kiba told him to apologize to his father and properly eat in order to grow well. Shinnosuke shouted that he doesn’t want to eat the Gyuumaoh’s food. Kiba continued to tell Shinnosuke to eat rice, vegetables and fruits, meat and fish since it will help him grow strong. Shinnosuke shouted that he doesn’t want to grow up because if he grows up, he’ll grow horns [like the others] who only care about money, talk bad things about others and become a disgusting creature. Kiba told him that Shin is a lucky boy since he can eat a lot of food and can go to school so he should use that in order for him to be able to live depending on his own strength in around 10 or rather 12 years from now. Then, at that time, he can choose a life that is different from his parents. Shinnosuke kept on crying and saying that it is impossible and he couldn’t do it alone. Kiba then told him that he’ll teach him magic sentence. “Ryuoniji Izumi is the name of the girl who can become a dragon.” Kiba told him that he is helping this girl and if Shin grew up stronger, he’ll be able to meet her later on. Shinnosuke exclaimed what he meant but Kiba has already left. And so, Shinnosuke always remembered that name and thought of a beautiful white dragon soaring up the sky. Then, 10 years after, Shinnosuke participated in some flower viewing event and he finally saw the girl who’ll become a dragon, Ryuoniji Izumi. Izumi (13 years old; 170cm tall) looked at blushing Shinnosuke (16 years old; 159cm tall) and asked what the matter is. Shinnosuke stuttered that it is nothing. Then, Kiba called out to Izumi that some English ambassador who wanted to take a picture with her. He asked her as to whom she is talking with. Izumi turned around but Shinnosuke is gone. Shinnosuke then overheard some people talking about how beautiful Izumi is and they heard she will be the head of the Ryuoniji family but then, even if that family is famous for being advisers [title = honorable opinion guards] within the political world, their power now isn’t the same as before so it would be more suitable for her just to be a decorative head. They laughed over this. Shinnosuke remembered Kiba telling him to become stronger then come see Izumi.. “I’m sorry, Kiba-kun..I’m..still..” End flashback.
Shinnosuke is surprised when Kiba asks him if he is Shin-chan. And why..did he got his hair curled for it doesn’t suit him. Embarrassed, Shinnosuke backs away and says that he has his own predicaments. Miruku calls out to Shinnosuke as a suspicious curly haired bastard and that she doesn’t know what kind of predicament he has but taking hostages is absolutely what an absolutely awful, evil and cowardly brat would do. Kiba tries to defend Shinnosuke by saying that he ought to have his own problems. Shinnosuke approaches Miruku and takes her cellphone before breaking it into half. [<- flip phone] Shinnosuke asks if she was the one who cut the surveillance system. Shinnosuke apologizes to Kiba that he didn’t turn out be strong like he wanted so he became a cowardly brat who depends on the power and influence of the Gyuumaoh. “..in order to protect, you and Miss Izumi...” Kiba looks worried upon hearing that from serious looking Shinnosuke. Meanwhile, Izumi suddenly sneezes. [<- Jap belief that if you are being talked about, usually negatively, you sneeze for no reason at all.] Rika asks if Izumi catch a cold. Claris asks if it is because they jumped. Mei offers Izumi some energy drink to make her feel better. Izumi takes it and thanks her. Kento then calls to everyone that they are now going to head out to where Miruku and Kiba are. And so, they are to rescue the two within 12 hours or else, Mei would grant the hostage taker’s request. The condition is only for the ojousama-s to do the rescuing. Claris says that if she thinks about it, this mission is easy since the surveillance system is broken and it is most definite that since Miruku’s butler is Kiba, then, the two of them are in the sun building. Rika dares Claris to go ahead and try doing just that. Since Claris wants to finish this quickly and change her clothes back, Claris starts walking then falls into a hole. While Rika muses that there are traps, the other two girls help cursing Claris up the hole. Kento calls out to them to keep it quiet else they would be discovered. Tami tells Kento that they are here. From behind the trees, there are a lot of uniformed men looking at them. The uniformed men ask why there are guys there but Kento and Tami pose while saying that they are ojousama-s. The uniformed men shouted that it is impossible for how could ojousama-s be so tall. Claris and Izumi glare at them and mentally ask what’s wrong with tall ojousama-s. The soldiers are smitten by them. Kento shouts for the others to quickly run away. Mei tries to tell Tami to hurry but Tami says that [s]he will stay there. “I like Mei so I’ll help Mei. Mei, go help the people whom you want to help.” Kento grabs Mei’s wrist and assures her that since it is Princess Tami, [s]he’ll be alright. Mei says yes. The uniformed men say that no matter how they look at Tami, [s]he looks like a guy and it is okay to be a bit violent in grabbing her. They seemed scared when Tami is emitting some sort of ‘chi’/energy [<- think DBZ].
At the sun building, Kiba is speechless upon learning that only the ojousama-s are to participate in this duel. Miruku comments that Shinnosuke is really despicable since he is already Mei’s fiance yet he’ll suddenly do this kind of thing. She asks if he is after the money. Shinnosuke tells her to think whatever she wants. Kiba asks if it was his father, Toujou-san, who instructed him to do this, or is it. Shinnosuke just tells him that it is what his father wished but it is what he decided to do. A uniformed man told Shinnosuke that Mei and five other girls are approaching the sun building. Miruku is excited over this while Kiba is wondering if they had that many ojousama-s. Shinnosuke comments that it is faster than expected but then, they are going to move Miruku and Kiba elsewhere. Miruku complains that it is too cunning of him to do that. Shinnosuke says that this will be a hide-and-seek game and warns them not to do anything strange for he doesn’t want to do something to a child. Kiba tells Miruku that they are going as Miruku shouts a parting shot that she won’t respect him just because he is an adult. After a pause, Shinnosuke tells his men to carefully lead them away. Kiba turns around and tells Shinnosuke, “I..trust..you, Shin-chan.” After they left, Shinnosuke orders his men to do everything they can to hinder Mei and the others but they are not to harm them. He repeats the order of not harming the girls. Nezu eavesdrops on the radio of their plans and he realizes what’s happening in the school. In front of the sun building, Kento says that it is very quiet. Four hours had passed and only eight hours left. Kento tells them that they are already discovered so they should act quickly. They are to go up to the fourth floor where Miruku’s room is. Kento will lead and the others are to follow. He reminds Mei that in this duel, they will win if only one person reaches Miruku and Kiba so she shouldn’t think of it as the same as the ball game [<-baseball before? Teamwork isn’t necessary.] Mei looks flustered as she mentally thinks, “I know, stupid Shibata.” Kento heads in and flying kicks the uniformed men inside. Some more men crash into the window. Kento takes out his extendable baton and starts fighting. He shouts for the others to go ahead. Mei heads up while Claris is envious that Kento is taking the spotlight. At the corridor, Izumi feels something on the floor that she tells the other girls to be careful. On cue, Mei steps on a trap and falls on a hole but luckily, Kento grabs her hand and pulls her to safety. Then, they realize that Rika isn’t with them anymore. Izumi wonders if she was captured. Kento says that they cannot go look after her. The other two girls sweatdrop when Mei casually says that is true and this is inevitable, but then, Rika ought to be able to survive by herself.
Then, they are now in front of Miruku’s room. They find it odd that it is too easy. They enter to find two shadow figures behind a curtain and the two are tied up. Claris exclaims that the first one who saves them is the hero. She rushes in and falls splat on the sticky floor. Claris starts shouting what the heck is that. Mei asks Izumi if it is so-so trap and Izumi confirms it. Kento throws some pillows on the sticky floor then asks Mei if she can safely go across to check the hostages. Kento and Izumi just salute Claris for her sacrifice as Mei steps on her to get on the other side of the room ^^; Mei can only apologize to Claris that she did take off her shoes. Claris can only angrily mutter expletives. Mei shouts to the others that it is a trap for the two figures inside were just dolls. Kento mutters that he guessed it to be so while Claris continues to shout expletives. Izumi wonders where Kiba is. Kento says that it cannot be helped and they should look for them elsewhere. Mei steps on Claris again and asks what to do with Claris. Kento says that she won’t die so they’ll save her afterwards. Just as they are about to leave, someone shouts for them to wait. They wonder if it is Claris but Claris is too busy muttering expletives. Izumi exclaims that it is that. They are all scared when Miruku’s teddy bear with flashing eyes starts crawling toward them. Kento gets the girls behind him but to their sweatdropping surprise, the teddy bear says that they have a recording for them. They hear the conversation earlier of Miruku, Kiba and Shinnosuke. Kento says that it is Tou’s voice. From what Kiba said, Izumi recognizes the surname Toujou. She mutters that there is only one person whom Kiba would call as, Toujou-san. Kento asks if she meant Toujou Takeshi, the prime minister. Mei is shock that Tou is actually the son of the prime minister but then, what is he doing as a butler of an idol. Izumi tells them that Toujou is a despicable family who uses their power for their advantage and she heard that her father is quite helpless against them. So, if they are trying to get Hongo’s wealth then.. Kento muses that it seems that this isn’t just a simple hide and seek game and he never imagined that things would become this serious. After a gloomy pause, Izumi mentions that first they are after Ryuoniji and now, they are after Hongo. Mei asks what. Izumi tells her that it seems that they are after Hongo’s wealth by marrying Mei. Mei says no but rather, she refers to what she just said earlier. Izumi tells her that four years ago, after her father died, they wanted her to get engaged with a son of Toujou but she refused. Mei freaks out over this as she shouts that means Tou used to be Izumi’s fiance but Izumi dumped him so now, he’s after her. Izumi mutters that it seems that the one engaged to her is much older than this one. Kento sweatdrops as to why Mei is angrier about this. While Izumi tries to pacify angry Mei, Kento notices something and tells them to be quiet because those men are already there. The men enter inside to find the balcony door open. They all go there and wonder if they jumped down but then, they are on the fourth floor. They also confirm that Claris is caught on the trap. While they are busy there, Mei and the others sneak out the unguarded door.
At the corridor, Izumi suggests that they split up to cover more ground in searching for Miruku throughout the school. Izumi tells Mei to leave the sun building to her. Mei tries to protest but Izumi firmly tells her that this is a duel that she shouldn’t lose and since they know that their opponent is Toujou, then, all the more she shouldn’t lose. Mei wishes for Izumi’s safety as she runs ahead. Then, Mei tells Kento that they are separating there, too. Kento asks why. She tells him that they just agreed to split up. Kento tells her that he is her butler so how can he leave her. Mei is surprised by this. She then shouts that she already fired him. Kento scratches his head and just says, is that so. Mei thinks that Kento is an idiot but then, for a moment there, she felt really happy. Kento says that before the go to the other living quarters, they should check the school first. Blushing Mei kept on telling Kento that he is fired but Kento didn’t mind her and just says that they are going. So, they checked the tea room, museum-type room, art room, etc but they found nothing. Mei is already out of breath as she realizes that the school is really huge. She then asks Kento how many rooms are they suppose to check when she notices Kento is leaning by the wall some distance behind her. Breathing hard, Kento is holding his chest. Mei asks him if he is alright. Kento says that he’s okay. Mei says that he looks awful. Kento insists that he is alright. Whie Mei tries to call him, Kento starts walking ahead. Mei realizes that it could be his injury in the desert. She then bumps on his back when he suddenly stops walking. They see the uniformed men waiting for them at the end of the hall. Kento quickly grabs Mei’s wrist and starts running as the uniformed men start to chase after them. At the cooking room/laboratory, Kento gives the bag he is carrying to Mei. He tells her that even if there might be no signal, he also brought a cellphone which is in the bag along with some food. He tells her to quickly lock the door after he closed it. Mei looks puzzled. When Kento is still trying to say something, his chest suddenly hurts that he starts coughing. Mei asks if he is alright. Kento is surprised to see that there is blood in his hand. Kento wonders if he is having an internal bleeding. Mei then says that Kento is acting strange and they should go back to bring him to the hospital. Kento holds her arms and tells her to listen carefully. He is going to lure them away and after he did that, Mei is to continue looking for Kiba and the others. He tells her that there is still time so it is okay if she takes her time to look for them. Mei refuses and asks if he is an idiot for Kento looks really pale already and he is still trying to act cool. Kento says that it isn’t about acting cool and he no longer cares for appearances. “I’m saying..! What I’m saying is, is it okay..even if you lose this duel! If you lose this duel..then you’ll be marrying a guy whom you never talked with before, is this alright..! I don’t want that! I don’t want you..to be with that kind of guy..absolutely..!” Mei somewhat blushes as she looks at Kento. To her surprise, Kento bends down and kisses her on the lips.
He somewhat smiles then closes the door. Mei becomes worried because of Kento’s condition yet he is going to.. She shouts for him to open the door but Kento just keep silent. The uniformed men see him and chased after him. Mei listens in the door as she hears the men run after Kento. She remembers what Kento told her. She then mentally apologizes for taking this lightly when this is something that can change her life. Then, one of them says that the door of the room is locked so there is definitely someone inside. Mei who is hiding by the table now looks serious. In a garden-type area, Kento is breathing hard as he thinks that he has lured them far away already but then, it seems he is already at his limit. He is surprised when someone shouts that Kento isn’t an ojousama so there is no need to be gentle with him. Kento takes out his baton but he is already in pain. Suddenly some men come out of the pond/pool behind him. They grab his wrist and pull him down the water. He falls into the water as he wonders how this can be, he would suddenly be like that during this time. He then passes out. Meanwhile, the uniformed men got inside the room but the window is also locked so they wonder if no one is really there. It turns out that Mei is small enough to go in the garbage chute. She looks a bit flustered as she thinks that she has tasted blood in that kiss and this is a duel she absolutely won’t lose. She arrives at the dorm of the exchange students and sees Shinnosuke at the top of the stairs. Holding a book, Shinnosuke muses that she would actually go there. Remembering what Kento said about marrying this kind of guy, Mei points at Shinnosuke and shouts that she absolutely do not want to marry a despicable person like him. Shinnosuke says that he can definitely do it, becoming Hongo’s in-law. To his shock, Mei sticks out her tongue [<- makes a face] and says, “Shin-chan ♡ Why don’t we see you try and do that?” Shinnosuke shouts how she knew that name. He calls for her to wait but Mei already ran as she thinks who’s the idiot who’ll wait when told to wait. Unfortunately for her, Shinnosuke can run fast or rather..his steps are bigger so he manages to catch up to her quickly. But just when Shinnosuke is about to catch her, he stops to complain that she stinks. Well, she did come out of the garbage chute. Mei quickly uses this chance to run. Soon, Mei finds herself in front of Irrfan’s room. There is a note saying that Irrfan invited Mei for tea was six days ago and not a year ago. Shinnosuke opens the door and tells Mei to come out but he is surprised when a Mei doll welcomes him. He looks around to see that there are a lot of Mei dolls there. He wonders what’s up with that room when Mei tells him to speak the truth when asked, else he’ll bite his tongue.
Mei says that this is the time for them to talk. She asks him why he would put the school in a hostage crisis like that when it isn’t his nature from the start. She also asks him if he really wants to marry her and what does he likes about her – beauty, like an angel, etc. Shinnosuke sweatdrops. Mei says that he cannot answer because they don’t mutually know each other and is it really okay for him to be married like that. Mei shouts that she doesn’t want to for she wants someone whom she really really likes, and for him, no matter what it is, she’ll do her best in order for them to be together. Shinnosuke comments that she is very childish for does she thinks that beautiful words can easily resolve things. Shinnosuke is surprised when Mei says that she knows his goal..it is her body. Shinnosuke blushes really red and exclaims that it isn’t so. “I only want Miss Izumi to..!” Mei comes out and asks why he suddenly mentions Izumi. Shinnosuke turns around and says that it is because.. Mei then wildly guess that it is because Izumi rejected him during the miai [marriage date] and so he decided to move to her [Mei]. Mei starts saying he’s disgusting, pitiful, etc. Shinnosuke sweatdrops and protests that it isn’t so since he with Izumi is from a long long time ago. Mei looks surprised at him then asks blushing Shinnosuke, “You..like her [Izumi]?” Shinnosuke holds his fairy tale book and says that it is more like longing. He tells Mei that because of politics, his family wants to take in Izumi in order to monopolize the advisers of the ancients, the Ryuoniji family. It is a good opportunity to do so when Izumi’s father died. His family tried to get 14 year old Izumi engaged to his 20+ year old brother. Mei realizes that it was Shinnosuke’s brother who was supposed to marry Izumi. Because Shinnosuke wasn’t able to do anything, he hated himself and the Toujou family deep down inside that he ran away. But, since he doesn’t know of the world, doesn’t have any friends and only had himself to depend on, soon, he found himself at a dead end. The money he got when he left is all gone. Flashback: While he is sitting near a building, an old man asked if he has nowhere to go. Mei’s grandpa told him that whether how many or how few, money can be earned. The old man has a showbiz company so he was taken in and got a makeover – glasses, curly hair, etc. before he is debuted. He isn’t easy standing at the spotlight that he ends up doing some backup help for the other idols. It actually made him happy..really happy as he watches everyone grow. Soon, he decided to become a manager and his first responsibility is handling Kashiwagi Kei’s career. Kei is self-arrogant but then, it is because of his competitive spirit. Even if he seems like an idiot, Kei is honest and true. So, time flies quickly as he helps Kei’s career that Shinnosuke thought that if this keeps up, he can forget about Izumi and the Toujou-s. Then, he got a message from the president [Mei’s grandfather] telling him to go to St. Lucia Academy at 7 o’ clock. He went into shock since at that time, it is 6:30. He woke up Kei and dragged him to the airport. Kei asked what’s up. Shinnosuke said that he doesn’t know for sure and maybe it is an outdoor shooting. End flashback.
After a long pause, Mei says that she doesn’t understand. He ran away from home and he lived a happy life yet why does he suddenly want to marry her. Shinnosuke tells her that it is because the Showa monster is dying. Mei is surprised by this. Shinnosuke asks if she doesn’t know that the one who is always supporting Izumi who doesn’t have a father is Mei’s own grandfather, Hongo Kintaro. But he quickly won’t be able to do so anymore and what would happen to Izumi who doesn’t have any support. The Ryuoniji family might also vanish. “So before that happens, I should become a ‘Hongo’ in order to protect the Ryuoniji family..no..Miss Izumi! At that time, I ran away..but this time, it is different, in order to protect Miss Izumi, even if others would say what I’m doing is despicable, I will do anything, no matter what kind of method it is..this is a duel, I absolutely cannot lose..!” He tries to grab her but all of a sudden, all the Mei dolls fall over him. Mei runs off while thinking that she should escape but then.. She imagines Kento telling her that there are no buts, she should absolutely not lose to that despicable man and just run. She thinks that is true. She then imagines Rihito asking her if it is really like that, if winning this duel, will it really resolve everything. She imagines Rihito smiling at her and telling her to listen to her heart. She closes her eyes and thinks that Shinnosuke wants to protect Izumi. She heads out to the roof upstairs and says, “It will be morning soon..” She starts thinking over what imaginary Rihito said then shouts that her heart is so confused. She wonders what it is that she really wanted to do. Her stomach growls. While she is looking for something to eat in the bag, the cellphone rings. She happily answers it because she thinks that it is Rihito but it turns out to be Kei. Mei wonders why he called on Kento’s cellphone. Kei explains that he got the number from Kanata [you know, the high school baseball guy.] He tells her that Tou wrote him a message the other day ago. Tou greeted him and asked if he has a new manager. He told Kei that he has some personal reason that he has to quit from the job and he already told the president about it. He apologized to Kei for not properly talking with him but he hoped that Kei would progress in the showbiz world. End message. Kei cries to Mei as he says that he finds it really odd to suddenly get a message like that and no matter how he tried to contact Tou, he cannot reach him. Mei sadly thinks that the other day, Shinnosuke has already decided to do this and he knew that he can no longer go back to his happy life before. He asks Mei if Tou is still at school and could she help him by asking Tou why he quit..is it because he is angry at him [Kei], if he isn’t good, without Tou, he cannot do anything..
To Kei’s shock, Mei shouts at him that it is because he is like that, that is why Tou left him. Kei cries and says that it really seems that he was abandoned. Mei reprimands him if he thinks that if he acts depressed, Tou will go back to him. Mei sadly says that she thinks that perhaps, Tou won’t go back because he has remembered someone who is very important to him. Kei asks if she means that there is someone else more important than him. Mei silently wonders if there are a lot of stars like that. To Mei’s surprise, Kei starts saying that if it is like that then, it cannot be helped for he thinks that Tou’s nature won’t grow in this kind of world or rather, he isn’t suitable in it. He asks Mei to tell Tou that right now, he doesn’t have an important someone but the ‘Kashiwagi Kei’ whom he groomed will strive harder and he will have a song coming soon. Mei then tells him that someone else is calling so goodbye for now. Thinking that for sure, the one calling is Rihito, Mei answers, “Rihito-san?!” It turns out to be Kanata. Kanata is walking with his bicycle. He asks why Mei is answering Kento’s cellphone. Mei tells him that it will be exams soon so she is studying early in the morning while Kento is outside sweeping the floor. He tells her that Kei called him to ask about Tou. Kanata asks if Tou is okay. Mei just says yes, he is. After a pause, Kanata laughs and says that is good and since Tou took care of him before that he wanted to give Tou some udon noodles. Mei asks about this taking care. Kanata tells her that since that is an exclusive all girls school, he had a hard time with the eating etiquette and the lessons but it was Tou who taught him everything. “Even if that guy looks very cold, but he is actually really nice.” Mei says is that so. Kanata tells her that is why he finds it so strange when Tou suddenly said that he’ll stay at school to become Mei’s fiance and he thinks that something had happened. Mei isn’t answering that Kanata calls out her name. All he heard is a stomach growl. Mei starts to take out a picnic blanket from the bag and eats a bag of potato chips + bottled water. While she is using the bag as a pillow to rest, she tells Kanata that she can no longer hide it, she is currently in a duel with Tou and it seems that he likes someone else. Kanata goes into shock and asks who it is. Mei says that it is Izumi. Kanata says that it is strange as to why he would want to be Mei’s finace. Mei agrees with him and thinks that it is really rude. Kanata asks her why Tou is doing this. Mei says that it is to protect the one he likes.
Kanata says that even if he doesn’t understand everything but he finds it a bit strange. He asks her if Tou has already confessed. Mei says that she thinks that he hasn’t. Kanata says so that’s it, Tou easily runs away because of his low self-esteem. Mei thinks that isn’t it like him [Kanata]. Kanata says that if Tou confessed, he’ll absolutely be accepted. Mei asks if he think so. Kanata starts saying that Tou’s good points like tall, good looking, cultured, and athletic since he was able to catch his ball. And, even if Tou quit school during high school, he is still quite intelligent since he knows a lot of things. “So..I’m sorry, if from the start I’m the one who kept on talking, Mei? What do you think of Tou-kun?” Mei asks what he meant. Kanata says, “What I’m saying is what you want him to do.” Mei remembers Shinnosuke telling her that he wants to protect Izumi. She then happily says something to Kanata. Kanata laughs and says that Mei is amazing, that is what he thought, too. After they hang up the phone, Mei looks energized as she stands up and looks at the sunrise. She thanks Kanata for her depressed mood has been uplifted. At the sun building, in the armor room, Izumi takes a sword for a weapon. Then, Claris [who seems to manage to free herself] runs to her. Izumi asks if she is alright. Claris says thankfully. Claris asks about Mei and others. Izumi says that they split up but they should be alright and right now, what’s really important is to quickly find Miruku and others since there is only one hour left. Just then, they see three uniformed men. The two girls are ready to trounce on them with their swords when the uniformed men take out their helmets and shout for them to wait. It is Daimon, Aoyama and Leon who look really tense. Meanwhile, at the park-like area, Kento wakes up and wonders if he is still breathing. He looks at the side and sees dripping wet Rihito who asks him if he is still alive. Rihito stands up and says, “Choose, will you sleep here or are you going to stand up?” Kento laughs and says, “Let me tell you..*sits up and smiles* who do you think you are talking to..!” Rihito slightly smiles says that there is still 30 minutes so he ought to drum up his energy in beating them [enemies]. And, the two brothers head out of the building.
It does seem interesting that Shinnosuke has fallen over Izumi in a different way just because he is fascinated with that legend and Kiba feed him that idea. So, Kiba is the cupid? Shinnosuke’s life story is quite interesting, too but still, no guy can beat Kento’s on how he got into different roles and status ^^ I find the traps and misadventures amusing. Of course, the highlight here is the kiss. I’m still guessing if Kento really has a chance or not. The author is really giving me hope and I don’t want to be disappointed at the end ^^; Anyway, at least Kento is more or less okay = not dead. Hehe..as if anyone will die here =P Scans by xiuxiu, Emma and 玉/wdsjznl for BW.

Ookami-heika no Hanayome [Chapters 1-3]
Tuesday, September 28, 2010
Yes, I had seen this series around like 10 months ago in BW but the art isn’t that interesting so I pay no mind to it. Then, it is mentioned in yuu_Chan’s blog so I decided to check it out since there are only like about 10 chapters. The first chapter of the English scanlation isn’t in the Chinese scans so I’m think the numberings are off. Or that first chapter in English is an added chapter for the volume. Anyway, my numbering will be based on the Chinese scans by xiuxiu since the ones on the Chinese covers are also different. ^^;; Chapter 11 in Chinese is chapter 14 in raws ^^;;; Maybe like Akuma to Hana, there are other chapters before the formal serialization or something. I’ll skip chapter 0 because it isn’t that important and it is more of a one-shot type. This is published in Lala. Scans by xiuxiu for BW. So, here is a short introduction and then, the first three chapters. Hope you like it, too ^^
Intro: What do you get when you cross Faster than a Kiss [type of characters] and Saiunkoku Monogatari [setting/situation in the first arc]? It is Ookami-heika no Hanayome aka Wolf King’s Bride by Kauta Mato. =P On a side note, it does have a bit of Skip Beat!, Tokyo Crazy Paradise and Hyakunen Renbo, too. Those series crossed my mind while reading this. =PThe setting is like ancient China where there are kings and everything in the country of Hakuyo. Tei Yuulin (17 years old) finally got a job..it is a temporary one but nevertheless it’s a job and that is to be the bride of their king Haku Reishou (21 years old), also known as the ‘Wolf King’ famed for his viciousness and cold-heartedness. They, as in Reishou and his trusted aide, Li Jun (24 years old), told her that the reason for this temporary bride thing is they wanted to thwart those pesky officials in trying to get Reishou to have their daughters as his bride/concubines. Actually, it is just to bait those bad officials in revealing their true natures when they think that the bride is Reishou’s weakness. =P Yup, it is a dangerous job yet it is a high paying job. Added to that, it is also Yuulin’s job to protect Reishou’s secret. What is that secret? Well, the Wolf King is actually a puppy who can be cute and everything. If the others know about it, they will take advantage of the king. They told her that wolf side of Reishou is just an act. And, well, what Yuulin didn’t know is the wolf and puppy combo is actually Reishou’s true nature =P So, the premise of the love relationship is while Reishou is making moves on her and everything, Yuulin thinks it is all an act ^^; and she’s really afraid of the Wolf King ^^;; Ah, read the English scanlation of chapter 1 first before reading the chapter 1 below:
Chapter 1: An officer is whining to Reishou about being forced to leave from the capital but Reishou scolds him to tears. Reishou passes by Yuulin at the garden. He carries her as she welcomes him back. At her room, Reishou finds out that Yuulin is about to pay off her debt. She is so happy that finally she can get her salary next month from that four eyes aide. It seems that Yuulin has an adverse reaction to debts = enemy. Reishou sadly says that they won’t see each other again. They were interrupted by Jun who says that whining officer wants to talk with him again. It seems that he isn’t satisfied with the position given to him. Before he leaves, Reishou tells her that he’ll go to her place tonight. After he left, Jun wants to talk with Yuulin. With some tea, Jun wants to confirm something before her work ends. “Did you and His Majesty progress a step further [= sex]?” Yuulin promptly spits out her tea and blushingly says that there is no step further. Jun is thoroughly relieved and laughs that it will be troublesome if one day, she’ll come back with a child. Yuulin doesn’t find it funny. He thanks her for her work and says that if Reishou’s position is stable, he would someday take in a real bride. He left Yuulin looking thoughtful-sad. Later on, Reishou meets up with Jun and asks him what he told Yuulin. He just said that it is about work and Yuulin is really excited over going home so Reishou shouldn’t make things hard for her else she’ll be pitiful. In her room, Yuulin becomes angry when she realizes that what Jun is saying that she is ‘only temporary so don’t be mistaken about your position’. She angrily thinks that she knows that even if he didn’t tell her. Reishou arrives and they had some light talk about the flowers around her room which according to her, can be eaten. Reishou asks again if she really wants to go home. Yuulin says yes because her family (most likely) is waiting for her and she is more suitable for a commoner’s life. She is surprised when he looks sad and says, “..really..” From puppy mode, he goes to wolf mode and tells her, “—but, ..I don’t want to let you go.” Just when he is about to touch her face, he is startled when Yuulin immediately stands up and screams in fright. She starts shouting that she has a headache and she’ll go drink some medicine. She tearfully looks at him and apologizes before running away. Flustered Reishou just looks tense as he is in midway of calling her back while Yuulin tells herself not to be fooled by Reishou’s acting.
The day after, Reishou is distressed as he tells Jun that Yuulin has been avoiding him since yesterday. Jun reprimands him that he told him not to make things hard for Yuulin. Reishou muses that since they haven’t found a new temporary bride, why not let Yuulin continue with this job and Jun should have no objections. Jun becomes gloomy as he tells Reishou that what he is unsatisfied with is Reishou being too satisfied. He knows that Reishou is pretending that the ‘wolf’ is just an act in order not to frighten Yuulin. If he likes her to the point of not being able to give up then the ‘temporary’ no longer has any meaning so while he hasn’t fallen deeply, he should send her home. Reishou smiles at Jun and tells him not to worry too much for it really just makes him happy when she treats him normally and she’s so cute that way. He also says that he’ll do what Jun wanted of sending her off if he no longer has that feeling, just like before. [<- the last part seems to meant he dumped someone else before] Jun tells him that he’ll do as what Reishou wanted but it is still better for Yuulin if Reishou let her go earlier. While Yuulin is wondering what she should do because she kept on avoiding Reishou when that whining officer tries to ask her favor on his behalf and he seems to be demoted because he tried to bribe/use his money to get ahead. This made Yuulin angry as she reprimands him of using his money instead of his own blood and sweat. This in turn made the officer angry that he threatens her with a knife to call out the king. Reishou manages to grab her to safety. He faces the officer while telling Yuulin to run away. Yuulin runs off. Reishou tells the officer that he wanted him to depend on his own strength [and not money] before he gets back in the capital that is why he has re-assigned him elsewhere first. The officer tries to attack Reishou but he was promptly smacked in the face by a vase, courtesy of Yuulin who came back with some vases. After the officer fell unconscious, Yuulin asks Reishou if he is alright. Reishou smiles at her and says that didn’t he tell her to run away. “So, why did you come back?” She blushes and thinks that she should be running away even if it is all an act and it feels as if she is going to be captured. “Perhaps it is already too late?” Reishou holds her face when Jun screams out loud in shock. They look at him as Jun asks who broke that pottery. Opps, that’s very expensive. And so, to Yuulin’s horror and Reishou’s delight, Yuulin has a huge debt to pay off again. =P With puppy eyes, Reishou happily turns to Yuulin and says, “Then, we can still be together, Yuulin!” Yuulin can only scream, “I..I..don’t want to!!” And so, her job as a bride continues on..it seems.
Chapter 2: In the court [or whatever that room is called where the king would order people around], Reishou is scolding people left and right. While fanning herself, Yuulin is sitting at the side. She looks aghast and felt scared even if she wasn’t the one being scolded. Reishou notices her reaction and asks if she isn’t feeling well. Startled, Yuulin denies it. Reishou just smiles and tells her to wait for a moment and he’ll finish his work soon. Yuulin just smiles over this. Yuulin couldn’t bear this kind of situation but she has to because it is her job as his ‘wife’. She suddenly felt that there is some ‘bad mood/evil stare’ that is directed at her. She looks around but cannot find who did that. At some other room, Yuulin suggests to Reishou that perhaps it is better for her not to stay in that room. Reishou asks why when there are only few people who enter there. He goes into puppy mode and happily says that what he does is so boring and she shouldn’t bother with that administrative work of his. “If Yuulin is there, I’ll be more enthusiastic in doing it.” Yuulin tries to tell him that it feels awkward for the ministers but Jun gloomily interrupts to tell her that it’s good if she just do that in order to keep Reishou enthusiastic about his work. Jun says that if Reishou didn’t do those things enthusiastically, things will be troublesome. Yuulin keeps on protesting until Jun tells her that he’ll give her an increase salary for it. =P Soon, Yuulin heads out and thinks that she never thought of going to the main palace instead Reishou is busy with paperwork that he doesn’t have time to go to her chamber. She muses that Reishou is so willful [<-doing what he wants]. After she left, Jun tells Reishou that he doesn’t have any objection to Yuulin if Reishou gets to work but he asks why he would want Yuulin to see him in wolf mode when he doesn’t want her to know that is part of his real nature. Reishou says that he is right but it cannot be helped. Soon, Yuulin always goes to the office affairs building. She keeps on feeling that ‘evil stare’ at her. Then, she sees Reishou talking with an officer. She asks Jun who that is. Jun tells her that it is Ryuu Houen, temporary assistant. Jun asks her why she asked. Yuulin says it is nothing but actually, it is that guy who kept on casting dark glances at her. One day, while she is in the library, Houen comes to look for Reishou but he is away. [The scans are blurry in this part but I think] Houen is telling Yuulin about his displeasure about her since she doesn’t know the word shame for her to always come to this place even if she is the wife. Everyone is talking behind Reishou’s back and it is all because Yuulin doesn’t know things [etiquette].
Yuulin confidently answers back that if Reishou doesn’t want her to follow His Majesty around then he would have said so but sorry to everyone else but she is just doing what His Majesty ordered her to. Yuulin tells him that if he has any objections then he should have brought it up with His Majesty. Houen can only mutter that even if she is a princess [<- title only like Princess Diana or Princess Masako], she fundamentally doesn’t understand His Majesty. Then, a guy enters and tells Houen that His Majesty is looking for him. Houen leaves. The guy tells Yuulin not to be tense and he heard their conversation. He introduces himself as Ko Yuu [<- invented name; it wasn’t in Jap wiki; I just chose the most Chinese sounding name from the possible romanji-s of the kanji ^^;] Yuu tells her that Houen’s father is a high ranking minister and even if Houen is outstanding, he is still a powerless young man so she shouldn’t mind him. She realizes that Houen had said too much to her since she is a princess but even if she doesn’t want to get irritated over it but she is really angry about his comment that she doesn’t understand Reishou. Later on, she enters the room and finds Reishou sitting up from the sofa and calling her name. She asks if he was resting. Reishou says yes and it isn’t easy to make the others leave because it seems that they thought that he was brought up to become an ‘always working never slacking’ Wolf King. He smiles and says that he heard that she and Houen are in bad terms with each other = angrily staring at each other whenever they meet. Flustered Yuulin tells him that it is because he kept on giving her dagger looks but that person really likes Reishou. Reishou laughs and says that is true for it is rare that a person like Houen would accept ‘Wolf King’ but that kind of person would immediately discard him if there is something he is unsatisfied with. With a sad look, Reishou says, “So he shouldn’t be taken lightly.” Yuulin sadly thinks that Reishou couldn’t let anyone see his weakness and is that the reason why he has hidden his true self. “I don’t want him to be this sad.” Reishou is surprised when Yuulin tells him that she will be by his side. He asks if that’s true. She says it is for isn’t she with him now. He laughs and tells her not to say such cute words. Yuulin is puzzled. He holds her face then pushes her down on the sofa. This surprises Yuulin as Reishou says that it will make him want to take advantage of her weak point. Yuulin blushes when Reishou bends closer to her. He asks, “You want to stay by my side, right?” Yuulin is freaking out as she wonders why things turned out this way. Then, Houen enters the room to talk something to Reishou but he stops upon seeing the two in that kind of position. He quickly apologizes for intruding and says that he’ll come back again. Houen turns to leave as Yuulin tries to call for help. Reishou covers her mouth then laughs and apologizes to her. He says that way, he can now have lots of time for rest and that brain-dead [Houen?] should understand things now. Yuulin is shock, aghast and speechless. She finds him disappointing for he used her as an excuse to rest. Flustered Yuulin calls him an idiot. Reishou tells her not so loud else it will be troublesome if Houen comes back. Yuulin exclaims that she doesn’t care about him anymore and he should just go rest on his own. With that, Yuulin angrily leaves the room. After she left, Reishou laughs over what she said about staying with him because she’ll immediately leave him if he goes in ‘wolf mode’.
Meanwhile, Yuulin angrily walks at the hallway. She is still furious that she is concerned about him yet he is just acting. She stops when she realizes that what Houen said is true, that she doesn’t understand Reishou, since hasn’t seen that sad expression before. She then spots a piece of paper stuck on a tree branch. She thinks that it might be an important document so she should get it. Just then, Reishou is looking for her to talk about what happened earlier. He sees Yuulin leaning on the railing while trying to reach for the paper. While reaching for the paper, Yuulin is wondering if it is only her who thinks that right now, they are a bit closer to each other. All of a sudden, the railing gives way. Luckily for Yuulin, Reishou is there to grab her before she plummet down along with the railing. He asks her what she is doing. Still shock over what happened, Yuulin exclaims it is that paper on the tree..which is now blown by the wind. He tells her that paper doesn’t matter and why didn’t she just ask someone else to get it. Yuulin apologizes and tells him that she thought she can do it by herself. She stops midsentence when she sees Reishou in wolf mode = really angry as he asks if that is what she is thinking. Yuulin looks frightened as she wonders if he is angry at her but then, she didn’t thought that the railing would give way. Reishou notices her expression that he somewhat covers his face. Yuulin starts to wonder if it is for real or just acting..and could he be fed up with her. She starts to wonder what Reishou thinks of her yet she is really afraid. Teary-eyed, she stammers as she apologizes again. Reishou has already softens his expression and he apologizes to her. He tells her not to cry. He pats her head and says that he specially brought her there to keep an eye on her yet she still gets caught up in danger. He sighs and says that things aren’t going smoothly. Yuulin is puzzled. Reishou explains that lately he is very busy that he has no time to go to her chamber yet there are possibilities of poisoning and assassinations so he thought that it is better if she is there but it seems.. Yuulin realizes that his willfulness for her to be with him is all because of her. She starts crying as she apologizes that it is her fault for not being careful that she put herself in danger. Reishou helps her stands up and tells her that it is alright already so there’s no need to cry. She thinks that Reishou’s acting is really good that he is good in hiding things/true intent. She wonders what she should do in order to understand him more. There’s a figure who heads out the building. Just then, Jun and someone else approach them and ask what that ruckus is about. Reishou tells Jun that the railing has broken. He wants it investigated and have other things checked in case there are similar cases like that. Jun says yes then says that it is quite strange for it should have been already checked since they are strict with those kinds of things. He says that he should carefully investigate things again. Then, Houen is shown walking outside the building.
Chapter 3:At the harem [<-where imperial concubines live], after a few days, Jun reports to the couple that the railing has marks of being tampered with. Yuulin is nervous since it wasn’t just an accident. Reishou looks really dark upon hearing this. Jun says that this happened since Yuulin came to the government building and it is normal for this to happen since Yuulin has a tendency to boldly do what she says [<-ah, answer back at people?]. Reishou darkly says that there is a high suspicion that someone from inside attacked her. He comments that the culprit is really courageous to dare pull that kind of trick. Yuulin looks nervous-scared over his expression. Reishou notices this that he has to tell her that he isn’t angry with her. Yuulin nervously says that he is right. She isn’t used to it because he doesn’t always go to wolf mode when there are no outsiders around. To her surprise, Jun suggests that she continue to stay come to the government building from tomorrow onwards. Yuulin nervously asks if it is okay. Sparkling Jun tells her that it is since he added more guards and the culprit won’t strike at the same place. Yuulin looks aghast for that isn’t what she meant but rather, this guy is definitely using her as bait. “This four eyes is really scary! From how he looks, what he is really is saying is ‘Why do you think that I’m giving you such a high salary, eh?’” [I finally realized that Jun reminds me of Ouran’s Kyouya. =P ] Jun asks Reishou if what he said is okay. Reishou sighs and says that since Yuulin is targeted, wherever she is, it is dangerous just the same. Yuulin can only curse that she cannot do anything since it is her job and she has a debt. Jun tells Yuulin to report to him anyone she finds suspicious. In her chamber, Yuulin laments over how dangerous her job is and that no matter how many lives she has, it won’t be enough. Then, to her surprise, Reishou comes to visit her. She asks if he is going to rest at the harem and if he doesn’t have any work. Reishou smiles and says ya [he’s resting there], he’s a bit tired. He waves his hand to dismiss the chambermaids. After they left, Reishou goes to puppy mode to apologize to Yuulin for putting her in danger again. Surprised by this, Yuulin says that no, it is all her fault. Yuulin thinks that as the princess, she can just smile and it is okay unlike him who has a lot of worries.
While serving him tea, Yuulin asks if it is tiring. Reishou says that the work is okay thanks to the help of the assistants. Yuulin asks if it is Ryuu Houen. Reishou smiles and says yes, including Ko Yu but then, she isn’t in good terms with Houen. He tells her that Houen does have that bad defect of contradicting (elders/superiors) but if one gets used to it, he’s also quite cute. Looking dubious, Yuulin asks, cute? Reishou says yes. She imagines if Houen, who is always scowling and complaining, is actually cute. She becomes gloomy and exclaims to Reishou if he is really dead tired [since Houen is not cute] and Reishou ought to properly rest up. Reishou just laughs it off. He smiles and tells her that there’s no need to worry since he is alright. Yuulin tries to protest but Reishou holds her hair and in wolf mode, he says that having her/a princess is really good because right now, he feels that he has the energy to do his best [at work] tomorrow. Yuulin backs away a bit and says that isn’t true for she wasn’t of any help. Much to Reishou’s dismay, Yuulin backs away further and further until she is hiding behind the wall divider. Yuulin nervously tells him if he wants some snacks, someone brought over some delicious sweet snacks a few days ago. With a frozen smile on his face, Reishou is sweatdropping. To her surprise, Reishou just says that he only came over to see her. He leaves after bidding her good night. After he left, Yuulin starts hitting the bed with her fist in frustration as she calls herself an idiot since Reishou definitely noticed that something is wrong with her but she cannot help it that her body instinctively becomes stiff whenever she sees him as Wolf King. “I feel as if my heart is being seized, my brain goes blank..” [<- fear or love sickness? =P] Meanwhile, Reishou listlessly heads back to his room. Jun is already there. He is asking Reishou to look over some documents when he notices that Reishou looks distressed. He asks what the matter is. Reishou laments that Yuulin fears the ‘Wolf King’ and it is really not good for him to get angry in front of Yuulin because ever since then [<- when Yuulin sit in court with him], Yuulin has become very nervous. “What should I do..”
He is speechless when Jun just apologizes and says that is of no concern but please look over these documents. Reishou just sighs as he sits down to read the document. He thinks that if Yuulin learns that the ‘Wolf King’ isn’t an act, she will definitely be more afraid of him. Then, Yuulin is sitting on her bed thinking that it is only an act, so there’s no need for her to be especially nervous and she should just persevered. She wonders what is that something that she can do right now...that is to find the culprit who messed up the railing. “It’s okay to be a bait, I’ll do anything. Work is work! I need to earn money!” She then sees Yu who asks her if she is doing well after he heard of the accident. Yuulin says that she is okay, no injuries at all. Just then, Houen sees them but after seeing Yuulin, he quickly turns away. Yuulin thinks that he obviously looks suspicious. The next day, at the library, Yuulin is helping arrange some of the documents when Houen goes to her and asks her if it isn’t better for her to just nicely stay put at the harem because she won’t know when something will happen. Yuulin just says how that could be. While thinking that it couldn’t be because he hates her that he would kill her for that, Yuulin tells Houen not to intimidate her for she knows that he hates her but.. Houen tells her that isn’t the problem but for her to go there from the harem, she ought to know her place and stay within the bounds of being a princess. “Do you really want to flaunt how much His Majesty dotes on you!” Yuulin looks surprises as she wonders if in everyone’s eyes, she is just a ‘bad girl who seduces to deceive the king’. Yuulin goes into angry mode over this as she shouts back, “If you are talking about infringing one’s territory, then aren’t you the same so just shut up. I’m serving His Majesty the King. Even if what you said is true, I also don’t have any reason to listen to your orders! If you have no other business then please leave, do not disturb me while I’m tidying up the book storage!” After Houen recovers from his shock of Yuulin’s outburst, Houen retreats while saying that she is really quite eloquent. [<- probably a sarcastic remark]. Yuulin angrily thinks what’s amazing about that arrogant bully and it is quite obvious that he is the one who would ‘think of wanting to get rid of the princess’. She reports this to Jun who tells her not to meddle into Houen’s business. Yuulin is puzzled. Jun explains that Houen’s father is a big personality within the administration so it would be problematic if they offend him and also, Houen and His Majesty are getting along with each other.
To Yuulin’s shock, Jun tells her not to pick a quarrel with Houen. “That’s enough, go, go, I’m also very busy.” With that, Jun gets her out of the room. Yuulin angrily walks away and wonders what’s up with that and isn’t that authoritarianism. From the side, Yu calls out to Yuulin and says that he has something to tell her. Somewhere else, Yu informs Yuulin that actually, someone saw Houen hanging around during the time of the accident. He apologizes for not reporting this for he doesn’t want to offend the Ryuu family so he won’t dare mention it but he fears that she might get into an incident like that again. Yuulin thinks that at least someone here is willing to do something against that authoritarianism. She thanks Yu for informing her and tells him to relax for she won’t tell anyone that he was the one who told her. Yu just tells her to be really careful. While walking, Yuulin thinks that now, it isn’t just suspicion but then would that boss [Jun] pay mind to this. She decides that she should find a definite evidence to verify this. While Reishou is in a meeting with Houen, Yuulin clings on to Reishou’s arm and calls him. Yuulin and Houen makes ‘I hate you’ glances at each other. Reishou asks Yuulin what the matter is. Blushing, Yuulin apologizes and says that it is because by herself, she feels really lonely. Reishou’s eyes widen in disbelief. Yuulin mentally apologizes to him for disturbing his work. While she and Houen exchange another ‘I hate you’ glance, Yuulin thinks that if Houen is the suspect then, he will take the initiative of doing something if she did something that he disapproves of. “Until then, I would have caught him by his foxy tail!”
To Yuulin’s surprise, Reishou hugs her and says, “I’m really sorry, my darling Princess. *touches her face* If you only wish it, then let’s keep each other company for a while. *smiles* This way, I can also be at ease.” Yuulin freaks out since Reishou has gotten himself into this, too. Looking really displeased, Houen asks if this means that the meeting for their discussion will be continued for the night. Reishou says yes. Then, there is a final ‘I hate you’ glance between the two [Yuulin and Houen] before Houen leaves. With a sparkle, Yuulin thinks that she reckons that he has given up and what’s left is for her to deal whatever he’ll do next. Reishou is just quiet all throughout then he asks what she is doing. Yuulin feels that she is going to be scolded if he knew so she puts on a nervous smile and tells him that she’s just testing her range of acting. A bit puzzled, Reishou then holds her wrist and leans her a bit backwards. He tells her, “If that’s it, then I’ll totally coordinate with you.” Yuulin freaks out over this. To his surprise, she quickly holds her hands up from him and shouts that there’s no need for that. She blushes then says, no, he should just be like before so much that it isn’t like before and that is enough. [<- I think she’s either muttering nonsense or just telling him act like before ^^;] She shouts that she’ll be heading back to the harem then she quickly runs off. She left Reishou speechless. Later on, Jun notices that Reishou is looking really gloomy that he asks what the matter is. Reishou asks if she [Yuulin] is fooling around with him because she would suddenly go near him then she’ll suddenly go far from him. Jun just says, ha? He tells him that their secret agent has brought news and that there is suspicious activity at the Grace hall [?]. Meanwhile, Yuulin rests at the wall as she laments that her heart cannot take it and it seems that her plan has failed. She then looks up and notices Houen hurriedly walking to some place. She finds it suspicious so she decides to follow him. At some hall, she overhears someone saying that princess won’t do. The other person says that there is no objection. Someone asks if it isn’t inevitable to get rid of something that is unsuitable. She thinks that if she gets more clues, she’ll definitely find proof. She looks in and wonders who the other person Houen is talking with.
She steps on a twig that the other person shouts who is there. The man asks Yuulin what she is doing there. Yuulin is surprised that it turns out to be Yu. He unsheathes his sword and says that this way, it saves the trouble of getting an assassin group in the palace. To her surprise, Houen blocks Yu’s sword when Yu tries to kill Yuulin. She is also surprised because she thought that those two are allies. Houen exclaims at her for fooling around and why is she randomly taking a stroll there. Yuulin exclaims that she is following him. Some assassins appear behind Yu who tells Houen that is boring since he thought if the son of the Ryuu family would collaborate with him, the outcome would be certain so he sincerely invited Houen. “I should have made you assume guilt from the very start.” In shock, Yuulin asks if it was Yu who is responsible for that broken railing. With a smile, Yu says that he thinks that if he tear down the princess’ stage[? or get rid of her] then the days after that would be easy [<-revolt]. “I’m not the same with that man. For someone like me, who is from a lowly noble family, I ought to have seen a lot of people’s faces before I can climb up. Miss Princess, you should know of this, right? You did cleverly flirt around with that scary dictator that you are now in your position today.” Houen angrily shouts at what Yu is insinuating. To his surprise, Yuulin looks really pissed off that she answers back to Yu, “Hypocrite..it seems that your level [of achievement] is high. But, if you think that His Majesty is that kind of person, then you really don’t have an eye for people [<- ability to make discerning judgments].” Yu shouts at his men to make her shut up as well as that other guy [Houen].
Then, to everyone’s surprise, someone asks Yu if he won’t let him in on the fun. It is Reishou who is holding a spear. Reishou says that burying his head in work has made his body stiff. “So how about making me exercise a bit?” As Reishou starts attacking Yu and others, he orders Houen not to let the princess get hurt. Houen answers back, “Understood.” Yuulin thinks that if only he [Yu] looks intently at the Wolf King, he wouldn’t have tried to provoke him. Then, Jun with some armed men arrives. Jun shouts at Reishou that he told him to wait for the army. Reishou just says that they’re too slow. At the harem, Yuulin goes into shock that Reishou and Jun have always been suspecting Yu. Jun says that it is because Houen reported that Yu is doing some suspicious activity so they decided to get Houen do some undercover work. Yuulin exclaims why they didn’t tell her. [Since it is blurry, I think] Jun tells her that it is because she is being watched closely. So, it turns out that Houen is totally innocent. Yuulin angrily asks if that person really just hates her that he would always make things difficult for her. Jun says that maybe Houen just thinks of her as a hindrance. Yuulin is furious that all her work is a waste of time. Smiling, Reishou tells Yuulin that it is because Houen really likes the ‘Wolf King’ so she and Houen are like, fire and water. He then asks why Yuulin looks surprised. Yuulin says that it is nothing. While thinking that Reishou is the type who won’t let anyone gets an opportunity by exploiting others whether they fear or admire him, she says that she just thinks that he looks too happy. Reishou happily tells her that it is because no matter what, a lot of people hates the ‘Wolf King’ so people like Houen are really rare. To his surprise, Yuulin says that she doesn’t hate. “I’m only just..a bit..no, [I’m] really..afraid.” Reishou just keeps on smiling quietly while sweatdropping. Yulin thinks that it is even if their relationship is based on acting, it has brought about trust, feeling and perhaps other things like that. Later on, Yuulin visits Reishou while doing some paperwork. [It’s blurry but it seems that] Reishou is happily saying that he is re-energized upon seeing her. Yuulin just says that’s good. She wonders if he really hates administrative works.
Well, I hope I can get this updated soon. The latter chapters are fun especially when there are more romantic type of scenes ^^ I’ll stop here for now and do some Mei-chan no Shitsuji chapters. So far, there is still no new chapter of Stardust★Wink. I might be putting Kurobara Alice on hold..since I’m not that enthusiastic in doing it. ^^;

Vampire Knight [Chapter 65] Teaser
Saturday, September 25, 2010
Thanks to lilith for the raws link by mso696812 for Vampire Knight 65 but I cannot make a proper summary of it since I don’t know how to read Japanese. First part is Sara being pampered by her girls then it seems that she is plotting something about that school. Then, the hunters are trying to get some information from Hanabusa through their torture of choice =P Then, there is a bit of arguing between Zero and Hanabusa. Later, Yuuki runs up the house probably thinking that Kaname left her because he left a rose but it turns out he didn’t. Then, they had a talk. Lol, it seems that Yuuki remembers Hanabusa and tearfully told Hanabusa’s father what happened. Kaname and Hanabusa’s father talk about what’s Sarah is doing. Wait a minute..isn’t what she doing like what happened in Kaname’s past of making humans into vampires? They talk of a crime..it’s a crime to kill a pureblood? Then, in some prison are probably the people from that school which Sara has taken over. They are calling for her. Takuma is talking to the imprisoned director of the school and it seems he is saying about Sara’s plans. They were interrupted when Sara came. Takuma and Sara talked about that crime so I think Sara thinks she can get away with it because she is a pureblood since it is a crime to kill her. If I’m guessing it right, it seems that Sara said at the end is the last pureblood remain standing is the winner. But I do have some new details from the talk in baidu. It seems like Yuuki has finally called Kaname, Kaname. Some are arguing if it is because she learned that he isn’t her real brother anymore or she finally decides to make him happy by calling him that. Then, someone said that it seems that the author is going for Kaname x Yuuki. Zero seems to be making a distinction of Yuuki but not considering her as an enemy. At present, Zero is in ‘that is none of my business’ mode since Hanabusa is trying to encourage him to fight for Yuuki but Zero refuses to do so. When did Hanabusa become a Zero cheerleader? ^^;; It seems that Zero said, ‘don’t use her situation to entangle me’. Okay, take that with a grain of salt and as I mentioned before, wait for the scanlations for clarifications.
Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu [Chapters 65-70]
Saturday, September 25, 2010
At Bear Bucks Cafe, Kyouta’s mother, who is sitting by the window, looks at a couple of ‘Universe Stroll’ [astronomy show] tickets on her hand. She looks up to see breathing hard [from running] Tsubaki who tells her that Kyouta isn’t coming. Kyouta’s mother looks surprised. Tsubaki then revised it to Kyouta didn’t come to school and she couldn’t contact him so.. “I’m very sorry that I wasn’t able to inform him..!” With that, Tsubaki slightly bows to her. Kyouta’s mother says is that so and even if she waited all throughout there, Kyouta won’t come. “I even prepared these things [tickets].. *smiles and slight nod* Thanks for specially coming here to tell me.” Flustered Tsubaki quickly bids her goodbye. After Tsubaki went out of the cafe, she looks flustered since she lied and even got thanked by Kyouta’s mother. She turns around to look back and to her aghast, she sees Kyouta’s mother holding the tickets while crying bitterly. Then, Kyouta, who is standing behind her, asks if she has some business with BearBa [nick for the cafe?]. Tsubaki goes into shock then exclaims that she told him to go ahead. Kyouta says that it is because Tsubaki is acting very suspicious. He asks again what business she has in BearBa. Tsubaki quickly makes up an alibi that she forgot something in the cafe and she already got it. Kyouta says that if it is only that, then they should just go and get it together before heading home. Tsubaki nervously laughs and says that would be too troublesome. While pushing him away, Tsubaki tells him to quickly go since she already got what she left. Tsubaki turns around and to her shock, Kyouta’s mother has seen them through the window. Tsubaki becomes really tense since Kyouta’s mother would realize that she lied. To her surprise, Kyouta’s mother sadly smiles at her then bows. Tsubaki can only wonder why she did that.
At Kyouta’s room, Tsubaki put in the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle. Tsubaki exclaims that he’s so amazing that he finished it in one night because a night sky should be hard to do. She isn’t finished talking when Kyouta kisses her. She asks him why. He tells her that they will continue where they left off yesterday since isn’t this the reason she came there today. Tsubaki tells him that they should first mount the jigsaw puzzle first. Kyouta tells her that there is still time to do that for he want to first sleep properly..sleep until morning. They continue to kiss as Kyouta starts to remove Tsubaki’s uniform. Tsubaki finds it strange that she couldn’t melt in his warmth just like before. She looks at Kyouta and thinks that he really looks like his mother. After remembering Kyouta’s mother bowing at her, Tsubaki closes her eyes and becomes flustered. She berates herself for being stupid since she obviously lied because she doesn’t want to have any contradiction with Kyouta yet because of her guilty conscience, she’s quite stressed out. She is surprised when Kyouta stops and tells her to forget it because it seems that she isn’t in the mood today. Tsubaki apologizes. Kyouta stands up and tells her that it is okay since there are times when it is like that. Then, Kyouta looks for a place to put the puzzle. After some ruckus, Kyouta is holding a space shuttle and satellite model. He tells her to put the puzzle at that cabinet stand and he’ll just throw those other things away. Tsubaki tells him that there is no need for him to specially throw those things away since there is space on his wall. Kyouta says that he’ll still throw those away since he wanted to throw those things away ever since before. Tsubaki innocently asks, “Ever since before..could it be a gift given to you by your mother?” It seems to have strike a chord on Kyouta. Tsubaki freaks out that she has brought up the topic about his mother. Trying to change the subject, Tsubaki takes the jigsaw puzzle and nervously says that if it is like that, then they should find of a place where they can put the puzzle. Just when Tsubaki is expecting Kyouta to react adversely to it, Kyouta admits that it is true, he got those things from that person before she left their house. He tells her that the reason he has been rejecting her is not because he cannot forgive her for leaving him. “What I cannot forgive is that person’s naive way of thinking. If she had abandoned me and my father then chose another man instead, then she ought to forget all about me, right? But, she is reluctant to part with me that she kept on seeing me..so, I won’t accept anything that she brought me.”
Tsubaki looks surprised that he actually told her about it. Kyouta is also surprised that he told her. “Until the time when I can be calm while seeing her, until then, I’ll tell her that is what I’ve been thinking...” Tsubaki is so shock by what he said that she holds the puzzle down, causing the pieces to fall all over the floor. Kyouta is surprised as he nervously says that she just.. that is what he did for one whole night. Tsubaki keeps on apologizing. She then tells him that she thought that he doesn’t want to talk to his mother throughout his life so it wouldn’t have any meaning if she passed over what his mother said. Kyouta is puzzled. Tsubaki then tells him that tomorrow, his mother will be moving to Hokkaido so she can no longer see Kyouta afterwards. “So she wants to properly talk with you one more time.. Just now, at that cafe, your mother is waiting for you. But because I don’t want you to be unhappy..I was only hiding it until today has passed, I didn’t consider your [Kyouta and mom] feelings and I didn’t say anything..I’m sorry..I did something that cannot be forgiven..I’m sorry..” Kyouta leans his head on hers and tells her that there is nothing for her to apologize about. He says that what he wanted to tell his mother is for her not to come back again and if she is going to Hokkaido then it isn’t necessary for him to specially go and tell that to her. “And just like what you thought, even if you passed the message to me, I also won’t go. So, don’t mind it..” Tsubaki shakes her head sideways vigorously. Kyouta angrily says that he just said. Tsubaki says that it is because Kyouta’s mother is the same with Kyouta since they didn’t tell the other everything. Kyouta asks what everything. Tsubaki tells him that the real reason for the divorce is because of Kyouta’s father’s domestic violence. Kyouta looks surprised then he sighs to say, “Is that so..” This surprises Tsubaki that she asks if he knew. Kyouta starts to pick up the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle from the floor. He tells her that he didn’t know but he had more or less thought that it might be because of that. “But, in the end, she still left me and run away to another guy’s place. That is an unchanging fact. So, I also won’t go and see her.” Tsubaki keeps on protesting that Kyouta tells her to drop it. He hugs her and exclaims, “Didn’t I say that it’s alright? It’s okay, there’s no problem!” She hugs him back while thinking that isn’t a bit okay. “From Kyouta’s beating heart, I can sense Kyouta’s uneasiness.”
Later on, Kyouta’s cellphone is ringing. Kyouta wakes up and answers his phone. Sakura greets him and asks if her sister is at his place. Still groggy, Kyouta asks who it is and if it is Tsubaki’s younger sister. Sakura calls him mean for calling her like that. Kyouta mutters that it’s annoying. He tells Sakura that if it’s about Tsubaki, she headed home when it is dark. “..what about it?” Sakura tells him that after dinner time, Tsubaki didn’t come home yet nor did she contact home. “Mom is already really angry and sis won’t answer her cellphone. Kyouta-sempai, do you know where sis is?” Kyouta looks surprised since Tsubaki is missing. Meanwhile, Tsubaki heads back to Bear Bucks to see if Kyouta’s mother is still there. Since she is no longer there, she asks the cashier as to which direction did she go. The cashier tells her to the left. Tsubaki goes to the left and tries to look around for Kyouta’s mother. She looks at the side and thinks that she won’t be able to find her if she already rode the train. She laments that she shouldn’t have lied. It is because of her selfishness that the last opportunity for Kyouta and his mother to talk is destroyed, even if Kyouta assured her that it is okay. She tells herself not to think timidly like that else she’ll always be guilty when she faces Kyouta. “So today, I will do my utmost best in doing what I can do..! ..even if I said that..if only I had asked before on how to contact her..!! She should have went home already..since tomorrow, she is going to move.. *looks up the sky* The sky is already dark..” She looks surprised at the starry night sky. She remembers Kyouta’s mother has tickets to an astronomy show. Back at Kyouta’s place, Kyouta scratches his head for he also cannot contact Tsubaki on her cellphone. He tries calling again while thinking if Tsubaki went to find that person. Since he still cannot contact her, he decides to go out and check that cafe first. Then, his phone starts ringing. It is Tsubaki. Kyouta is about to reprimand her to open her cellphone but Tsubaki asks him to quickly come over.
At the ‘Universe Stroll’ astronomy show theater, irked Kyouta who’s breathing hard [from running] finds Tsubaki with his mother. His mother looks flustered upon seeing him. Tsubaki goes to Kyouta and apologizes for doing this on her own but in the end, whether he wants to talk to his mother or not, still depends on him. Kyouta answers what’s this about. He pulls Tsubaki to him and reprimands his mother not to involve Tsubaki into the situation while he isn’t around because Tsubaki is very serious in doing things that there is no way for her to realize that she’ll get hurt like that. Tsubaki blushes over this. Kyouta tells Tsubaki that is enough, she should quickly go home. Tsubaki tries to protest until Kyouta tells her that her sister called and her mother is already very angry. After being surprised by this, Tsubaki takes his hand off her head and says, “But..” She notices that his hand is very cold. She realizes that Kyouta is nervous and of course, since he was 10 years old when his mother left, this will be the first time they’ll talk. Tsubaki tightens her fist and exclaims, “I don’t want to! I wait until the two of you talked..even if you feel that I’m very troublesome, I’ll stil..” Kyouta says, “--Stupid. *turns around to Tsubaki and smiles* How could I feel that you’re troublesome.” With thoughts of gambatte, Tsubaki watches as Kyouta goes over to his mother. Walking through the place, Kyouta’s mother comments that ceiling structure is quite nostalgic and it hasn’t changed one bit since they went there before. She continues to say that the program has changed a lot since because now, during the showing, there’s also some fragrance emitted [aromatherapy]. There is an announcement that the show will start at 8pm. His mother tells Kyouta to hurry but to her surprise, Kyouta just sits down on a bench. Kyouta tells her that he didn’t come there to watch some show. Soon, she sits on the bench, a bit away from Kyouta. She nervous smiles and asks Kyouta if that is okay now. Kyouta just grumpily asks what she wanted to tell him. After a pause, she apologizes to him for giving him such painful memories. Kyouta then says that he really doesn’t understand how could she let things ended up to the point wherein she cannot endure it and why would she marry that violent man.
She tells him that his father is actually really suits being a teacher since he is considerate, empathetic and very nice with other people. That is until he changed schools. Flashback: Kyouta’s mother brought out some sake for Kyouta’s father to drink. He is sitting on the sofa and he looked frustrated. She asked him if something happened between him and the students again. Kyouta’s father asked in anguish if he isn’t suitable to become a teacher. Kyouta’s mother put her hand on his shoulder and told him that is nonsense for no one is more suitable to be a teacher than him. She happily told him that he ought to just continue on doing his best and things will definitely become smoothly just like how it was in that junior high before. To her surprise, he held her face then pushed her down on the floor. He then used her as a human punching bag to vent of his stress while shouting that she obviously doesn’t understand yet how can she say things so lightly. “Do you know..that I’m very tired..!!” Soon, after he has beaten her up black and blue, he would hug her and say that without her, he doesn’t have anything. He told her not to make him do that kind of thing again. Since that time, that incident would keep on repeating. She would then go to a room where baby Kyouta is sleeping. But since Kyouta’s father doesn’t lay his hand on Kyouta, she decided to just bear with it. At the grocery where she works, the shopkeeper saw her bruise covered arm and exclaimed what is with that injury. He asked if the rumors are true that she is a victim of domestic violence. He asked her to just tell him if there is anything he can do to help her. She is touched by what he said. Afterwards, she’ll go see him when she needs to talk with someone and after some time, while they are walking together, the shopkeeper told her that it seems that her husband has decrease his beatings. She answered that it is thanks to him who gave her lots of advices on how to deal with her situation. He told her that it is great that he was able to help. She is puzzled when he paused. He then confessed that he is really disappointing because he is unhappy that she and her husband had reconciled. He then proposed marriage to her and promised that if it is him, she won’t ever have a life of domestic violence. “Of course, you can also bring your child with you..!” She blushed and with thanks, she accepted his feelings.
But, Kyouta’s father had already noticed the change in her so he hired a detective to investigate her. End flashback. In anguish with tears, Kyouta’s mother tells Kyouta that the reason for the divorce has become extramarital affair and she couldn’t get back Kyouta’s custody rights. The proof of being a victim of domestic abuse is also gone. That is the reason why Kyouta’s father hasn’t been hitting her anymore so that there won’t be any bruise marks while their divorce case is being deliberated in court. While her hands are shaking, she tells Kyouta that it isn’t because she totally doesn’t care about him when she left that house and there wasn’t a day when she didn’t thought of him. “That is what I wanted to tell you until the end..!” She turns around to get something from her bag. [<- Handkerchief?] Kyouta says that no matter what excuse she’ll tell him, it doesn’t change that she left him with a father who’ll use violence [on him]. Although he becomes conscious of the possibility about the domestic violence, he still doesn’t plan on forgiving her. “--But recently, I’ve..experienced that feeling of even if it’s very important yet I have to let go. [refer to breaking up with Tsubaki before]. When it is obvious that I was the one who let go and it is very bad if I didn’t let go, yet I would want to once again retrieve that feeling.. I understand that a lot. Today, I feel that it’s very good that I’ve heard the truth.” He stands up and says if that is it [then I’m going]. She tells him to wait. She gives him an envelope and tells him that is her address in Hokkaido. She is surprised when Kyouta tells her that there is no need for that because he doesn’t have any plans on seeing her again. She stutters as she asks if in the end, he couldn’t forgive her. He tells her that isn’t so. He asks her if she is very happy right now with that man. There is a wedding ring on her finger. She tries to say, “That...” Kyouta smiles at her and says, “Don’t think about it anymore, because right now, I’m also very- happy. Because of that person [Tsubaki], both of us are really happy right now, and we won’t bicker again regarding the wounds of the past so let’s end it today. *holding out his hand* Ah? Mama. Eh..right now, I.. *looking flustered* won’t lose to you in getting that happiness.” Kyouta’s mother tearfully smiles and shakes his hand. “Goodbye.”
Holding her bag tight, Tsubaki is waiting by the entrance when Kyouta’s mother comes out. She rushes to her and asks Kyouta’s mother if the show isn’t showing yet or could it be that she wasn’t able to properly talk with Kyouta. Kyouta’s mother happily says no, they did talk properly after seven years of separation and living on their separate lives from today on. She looks back at the theater and says that she had a lot of memories in that place with Kyouta but from today on.. She puts a ticket on Tsubaki’s hand. Kyouta’s mother smiles and tells her that Kyouta is waiting for her inside. “From today on, it will be a place where you and Kyouta will create memories.” Tsubaki tries to protest but Kyouta’s mother tells her that ticket is originally Kyouta’s but Kyouta insists on buying his own ticket. She tells Tsubaki that she will be moving to Hokkaido tomorrow. “If it weren’tyou’re your help, I would have given up, Miss Tsubaki.” Tsubaki looks surprised. Kyouta’s mother tells her that it seems her name is Tsubaki and she is quite surprised to know that is how Kyouta called her. Tsubaki immediately bows and apologizes for she hasn’t introduced herself. “My name is Hibino Tsubaki.” She is surprised when Kyouta’s mother giggles. Kyouta’s mother apologizes and says that it is because she just imagined what it will be like in the future. Tsubaki asks if she meant about her name and surname will be the same. Kyouta’s mother happily says that if that become for real, then, it will be a rare and very unique name. Blushing Tsubaki smiles back and happily says that she think so, too. She’s surprised when Kyouta’s mother bows to her. Tsubaki also bows to her. Later on, Tsubaki heads inside the theater and sees that Kyouta is already sitting down on the front row. He sees her and acknowledges her. Tsubaki then sees a shopping bag on the chair beside Kyouta. She proceeds to sit at the other side and asks Kyouta if he accepted his mother’s gift, that 3D moon puzzle. Kyouta says ya. He tells her that person would probably come back to see him if she wasn’t able to finish things with him. The very first is also the very last. He then tells that next time she is going home, she should pass by his house. Tsubaki is puzzled. He tells her that she is going to accompany him in solving the puzzles of the one she ruined and the new one he got. Tsubaki looks aghast and gloomy as she looks sideways and says ya, about that, sorry about that. Kyouta then mutters no, it isn’t like that. “..I’m sorry for getting you involved in my family matters. *Tsubaki looks at him in surprise* But you really helped me. ..Thank you.” Kyouta blushes as he looks at Tsubaki. Kyouta is speechless when Tsubaki insists that she wasn’t much of a help that he ought to thank her for it since it is very much like the time when he helped her during the Sports festival. “That is really helping the other..” Blushing Kyouta tries to tell her that compared to that, she did more but he stops midway then leans near Tsubaki. Tsubaki blushes really red because he seems to be going to kiss her but to her surprise, Kyouta pushes the lever to make the back of the chair recline down.
Tsubaki tries to laugh off her embarrassment since she thought he is going to kiss her by saying that she forgot to recline the chair when they are going to see the show since it was in the elementary when she last watched it. While she is looking away from him, Kyouta says, “..it is really such a great help. With only you at my side, you gave me strength.” Soon, the announcer says that they are now going to see Hawaii’s starry sky. Kyouta tells Tsubaki that Hawaii’s starry sky is very similar with Hateruma’s. “So look, it’s the Southern Cross” He starts telling her that Hawaii’s latitude is lower compared to Hateruma so it is high above the water level. Since Tsubaki didn’t reply, Kyouta turns to Tsubaki and asks if she is listening. To his surprise, he sees her crying as she tells him that she is listening. Kyouta then holds her hand. Tsubaki is thinking, “It’s because I still haven’t digested what he just said earlier. ‘Only you is enough’ In this several billions of heavenly bodies, in the same planet [/heavenly body], born in the same country, among the numerous crowd of people, we met and fell in love. Why are we mutually attracted to each other? From that probability of it happening..it’s like a miracle.” She is startled when Kyouta leans his head on her shoulder. She turns to look at him and it turns out that he has fallen asleep. She remembers that he didn’t slept the whole night. Blushing, Tsubaki happily leans her head on his and thinks, “It’s like this, to become an existence that is enough for Kyouta to depend on, I have to continue on doing my best. So, please, within the scope of possibility, let us continue to be together in this miracle forever and ever.” After the show, Kyouta laments about never sleeping through an astronomy film before. Tsubaki says that it is natural for that to happen since he lack sleep and it is dark inside. Tsubaki happily tells him that he can still go there next time and watch it with her. “Watching a starry sky that is similar with Hateruma’s made it seems like I’m actually in Hateruma--..” Kyouta happily says that’s right. Tsubaki is happy that Kyouta has cheered up and that one is really moved emotionally after seeing a starry sky.
Later on, Tsubaki thanks Kyouta for walking her home. Kyouta asks if it is okay that he doesn’t go in with her. Tsubaki is puzzled. Kyouta explains that it is because of him that she is going home so late so he would want to go in and explain. “And, also tell your parents that we are going steady.” Tsubaki thinks that he meant about introducing him to her parents. Tsubaki nervously imagines that her mother will be furious about him bringing her to a weird place so late at night and her mother would want him to immediately break up with her. Tsubaki timidly tells him that there’s no need to do that today. Kyouta didn’t insist on it as he bids her goodbye. Before he leaves, Tsubaki calls out to him and holds his arm. She says that there will definitely be a day when she will need him to do that. “So until then, I’ll leave it to you..!” Kyouta pulls her to him and hugs her. He says, “Ah- I don’t want you to go home.” Tsubaki tries to protest but he continues to say, “No, I will let you go but it would be nice if we can go home to the same house..” Tsubaki looks surprised. He then pulls her away and says that he’s kidding. He bids her goodbye and left. Tsubaki blushes as she realizes what he meant and it is like her dream of becoming ‘Tsubaki Tsubaki’. She thinks that for them who are currently in high school, in making this a reality, they would need heaps of miracles to be with them. Then, there is a scene of Tsubaki’s mother reprimanding her. Then, she and Kyouta did the puzzles. Soon, the space shuttle, satellite model and the new moon puzzle is in the cabinet stand. Tsubaki and Kyouta happily look on that, as well as the puzzle Tsubaki gave him that is hung on the wall. Narration: “Just wishing is definitely not enough. So, one has to strive hard, bit by bit, in order to make this miracle become a reality.”
Chapters 68-69: Soon, it will be their second Christmas. At the kitchen, Tsubaki’s mother tells Tsubaki that after she put the vegetable on the plate [Tsubaki seems to be making a salad], can Tsubaki call Sakura out. Tsubaki says okay. Tsubaki knocks at Sakura’s door and tells her to go down and eat. To her shock, Tsubaki sees Sakura’s messy room wherein Sakura is hiding in her blanket while sitting on the bed. Sakura gloomily says that she doesn’t want to eat because Nishiki has to work on Christmas Eve. Soon, Tsubaki prepared the food in Sakura’s tidy room [<-most probably cleaned by Tsubaki]. She asks her sister that won’t Nishiki be free on the 25th. Sakura shouts that it has no meaning if it isn’t Christmas Eve. Flustered, she says that it is really nice for Tsubaki and Kyouta not to have this kind of problem. Tsubaki informs her that actually they haven’t decided on what to do on Christmas Eve. Sakura asks if that is so and it will be next week. She then happily suggests to Tsubaki to replace Nishiki at work. Tsubaki is shock by this. Tsubaki stammers that Kyouta might ask her out that night. Sakura retorts that Nishiki has always been substituting for Kyouta whenever they [T&K] have a problem and it is also because of Nishiki who replaced Kyouta that their [T&K] relationship went smoothly. [<- when Tsubaki got Kyouta’s ‘yes’] Sakura starts emoting [<- sad] that if they [S&N] have an awful Christmas Eve, they might break up. “So, sis, this is my life’s request..!” Being the nice sis that she is, Tsubaki agreed to it. Soon, it is already December 24 and at school, it is already class break. A guy suggests that Christmas Eve is a special holiday so they will go karaoke at 1pm today. Tsubaki is nervous because she will be on duty by the time they go to the karaoke bar. She looks at the clock and it is already quarter to 11am. She is going to work at noon and before then, she should study. While eating lunch, she reads through Karaoke King’s menu. She is about to eat a saucy meatball when Kyouta holds her hand and asks why she is eating alone. He asks weren’t they suppose to eat together today. Tsubaki blushes and looks nervous. She tells him that it seems that he indeed has plans. Kyouta is puzzled. She then informs him that she has substituted Nishiki for work. Kyouta sighs and says that she is indeed that kind of person.
He says that since they didn’t agree on doing something on Christmas Eve, she should still have kept herself free on that day. He tells her up to when she will be conscious of being someone’s girlfriend. Tsubaki tells him that she also planned on keeping her Christmas Eve free but Sakura said that there is the danger of them [S&N] of breaking up and it is because of Nishiki that things are going smoothly between them [T&K]. So, if the two of them are in danger, Tsubaki feels that she also ought to help them. Kyouta remembers Nishiki happily waving at Kyouta that he’ll spend the day with Sakura. Kyouta wonders if they [S&N] are really in danger of breaking up. Flustered, Tsubaki tells Kyouta that she also wanted to spend this day with him. Looking somewhat concerned, Kyouta reminds her that Christmas Eve customers aren’t the same as ordinary day customers. Tsubaki quickly looks at the menu and says that she will do her best. Kyouta tells her that she cannot use the excuse that she’s just a substitute worker. Tsubaki becomes speechless and nervous. Kyouta takes her tamagoyaki [rolled omelet] and eats it. He mutters, “Geez- I really can’t resist you.” [<-cannot resist on not helping you on this] Soon, in Karaoke King, Tsubaki is serving a tray filled with drinks. Just when she is serving them, the tray turns out to be too heavy for her that she spills the drinks. The customers are surprised as Tsubaki quickly apologizes. Frantic Tsubaki quickly heads to the door as she shouts that she’ll quickly get it cleaned. Just as she opens the door, Kyouta enters while holding a cake. Kyouta tells the customers to please go to the next room instead. While he helps the girls cross over the mess that Tsubaki made, he tells them to be careful and asks if they aren’t hurt. At the other room, Kyouta tells them that the store is going to give them some special coupons and a cake as a gift [<-sorry for the inconvenience?]. Kneeling down to the customers, Kyouta flashes a smile and apologizes to them regarding what happened earlier. He tells them not to mind it and continue to patronize the store. With hearts in their eyes, the three customers happily says, “Yes ♡” Tsubaki blushes over how Kyouta handled the situation. Back at the other room, Kyouta tells Tsubaki that even if it is all ordered at the same time, she doesn’t have to serve it all at the same time. He advises her that she should have put the tall glass at the center of the tray so that it won’t easily fall down. He also tells her to leave the cleaning to him and just bring a cake like earlier to room 605. It turns out that cake is supposed to be the order of the customers in room 605. Tsubaki asks if it is okay that she broke many things. Kyouta calls her stupid and says that of course, it is okay. He smiles and says, “Because this young master will forever help out Miss Tsubaki without any condition.”
Aghast, Tsubaki apologizes again. Kyouta tells her to forget it and isn’t this a lot better than last year since they are spending it together. Tsubaki blushes as she realizes that it is true. She happily smiles and says, ya. That made Kyouta unable to resist her that he pulled her to him and kissed her. Blushing Tsubaki covers her lips. Kyouta tells her that if they are free, they can do that kind of stuff. While Tsubaki tries to tell him to wait, Kyouta holds her face to give her another kiss. Tsubaki is startled when a female customer appears behind them and asks where the toilet is. Tsubaki quickly pushes Kyouta away and happily leads the girl to the toilet. While in between sitting and lying on the floor, Kyouta is just speechless-gloomy. Later on, Tsubaki gets a new cake. While walking at the hallway, Tsubaki is embarrassed at what Kyouta is doing while she is working when she originally didn’t do well. She then muses that she never thought that Kyouta is really serious with work. There is a chibi Kyouta looking surprised and asks, “What?!” [<- he seems to be serious at work but it is all because of her =P] Tsubaki thinks that Kyouta is really cool at how he handled that situation swiftly and smoothly. Soon, Tsubaki arrives at room 605. She announces that she brought the cake but to her shock, she sees a couple making out. She quickly apologizes for intruding then she puts the cake on the table. She quickly heads out when the girl turns around to see her. Outside, Tsubaki tensely wonders what those two are doing while inside the store but then, she doesn’t have a right to tell that of others. She is surprised when the girl earlier calls out to Tsubaki as that lewd sneaking around girl. “Isn’t it enough that you’re pretending to be a girlfriend and now, you are chasing after him at work?” Tsubaki turns around to face the girl and exclaims, “Ah..G-cup sempai..!!” The girl angrily says that it’s Yuki-sempai and not to recklessly call her that [other name]. Tsubaki tells her that today, she is only substituting for someone else and she is no longer pretend girlfriend but rather, a girlfriend. Yuki asks if she would dare say that when she obviously hasn’t given her first night to Kyouta. Blushing Tsubaki says that about that..they’ve already overcame that. Yuki exclaims in disbelief that they already did it. Tsubaki panics as she tells Yuki not to say it out loud. Yuki asks if that is so.
She starts thinking then asks if Tsubaki is satisfying Kyouta’s demands like if she already did this and that thing. Blushing Tsubaki asks what about that thing. Yuki tells her to quit playing dumb for she [Yuki] also did it before, though at first, she wondered if she is capable of it. Yuki laughs and says that at first, she opposed a bit but it is no big deal after she got used to it. “Kyouta, he actually..” Tsubaki looks surprised. Later on, Kyouta goes to a room where Tsubaki is cleaning the table. He tells her that if she is finished cleaning, she can go to the resting area at the first floor and he’ll be waiting for her there. Kyouta is surprised when Tsubaki says that there’s no need. Kyouta tells her that if she doesn’t eat now, she might not be able to do so until the end [of her work]. Tsubaki calls out to him. She turns around to look at him. Kyouta is surprised to see her looking flustered-sad. He asks her what happened. Tsubaki asks, “That..Tsubaki-kun, you actually--...” They were interrupted when Tsubaki’s stomach growls loudly. She quickly picks up the tray with her cleaning materials and says that it seems that her stomach is really hungry and yet, she didn’t realize it. She happily tells him that they’ll wait for each other at the resting area. Tsubaki quickly leaves, leaving Kyouta wondering what happened to her. At the lounge, Tsubaki can hardly eat her pasta as she thinks over what Yuki told her wherein Kyouta hasn’t asked that of her yet. She thinks that he must have been enduring how boring it was, all throughout whenever they are doing it. She is surprised when Kyouta suddenly gets some of her pasta. He says that her stomach is growling so loudly yet she cannot eat, could it be because it isn’t delicious. Tsubaki says that it isn’t true and his food is really amazing. Kyouta corrects her that he didn’t make it. After eating a forkful of her pasta, Kyouta says that speaking of self-made food, it is quite rare for him to get to eat it..Tsubaki’s tamagoyaki. Tsubaki blushes when Kyouta smiles and tells her that it is delicious. Tsubaki says if he wants her, she can make him a share of it everyday. She is surprised when Kyouta asks if she can really do it everyday. Tsubaki sweatdrops and tells him that if she make it everyday, he’ll soon get sick of it. Sparkling Kyouta tells her he won’t, he absolutely won’t get sick of it. Tsubaki tells him that tomorrow is already the start of the winter break so she’ll do it when school re-opens. While she isn’t finish talking, Kyouta puts his arm around her shoulder and asks her what she was saying earlier. Remembering what Yuki said, Tsubaki stutters that it is nothing and it isn’t something that one should ask while at work. “So, let’s talk about it next..” Tsubaki starts telling him that the rest break is almost over. She stands up when she is startled when Kyouta holds her wrist and seriously asks her that he really wants to know about it so tell him about it now. Tsubaki tries to protest but Kyouta insists for her to quickly tell him. With her heart beating fast, Tsubaki says, “Tsubaki-kun..actually..”
They were interrupted when the boss, carrying a huge box, exclaims over how they are doing a good job. He then tells them not to go lovey-dovey at work when he, the boss, is having a problem. Tsubaki asks him what happened. He says that tonight is Christmas Eve and yet there aren’t many customers who came. With sparkles, the boss asks Kyouta to please wear a Santa costume and attract some customers. Kyouta refuses to do so since today, he only wants to work. He tosses the box to Tsubaki and tells her to be the one to do that. Tsubaki isn’t too thrilled about it but Kyouta smiles and tells her that this is good for there aren’t a lot of opportunities to play a Santa. “I..also very much want to see you dressed up as a Santa Claus-type.” Speechless Tsubaki looks flustered. The boss then tells Tsubaki that he’ll leave it up to her. Kyouta says that he’ll take care of their plates [from dinner]. “Gambatte and later on, I’ll also take a souvenir photo.” They left as Tsubaki’s mouth open in shock. She puts the box on the floor and looks at the clothes inside. “He looks really happy. He helped me tidy up and even said that he wanted to get a souvenir photo...it’s just like what G-cup sempai said..Tsubaki-kun actually..!!” Soon, the karaoke bar is filled with male customers. The boss then calls out the number 4, Fujisa-san to come with him. Kyouta asks him why it seems that all of a sudden, there are a lot of customers there. The boss says that of course it’s thanks to his girlfriend, who dressed up as Santa and lured those customers in. “If I knew of this earlier, I would have made her dress up as Santa earlier! There are already enough customers, why don’t you go and call her back.” Kyouta says okay. While walking, Kyouta imagines Tsubaki to be wearing the traditional type of Santa outfit with beard thus he doesn’t believe that the many customers are attributed to her. He shivers in the cold then hears in an area where Tsubaki is shouting for people to go to Karaoke King. Kyouta calls out, “Hey, Tsubaki, you can stop calling for..” He stops mid-sentence upon seeing Tsubaki wearing a cute Santa girl outfit. Tsubaki calls out to him. Aghast Kyouta asks why she is dressed up like that. Tsubaki just tells him that she’s really tired and she’s going to freeze to death. Then, a drunk businessman-type of guy asks her if she is really cold then how about letting this uncle keep her warm. Kyouta immediately elbows the guy’s cheek. Kyouta puts his coat on her then shouts at the man, “Do not touch my girl!” He then quickly leads her away while the friend of the drunk helps him up. At the resting area, Tsubaki sneezes and says that it’s very cold. While holding a traditional-type of Santa outfit, Kyouta tells her that no one told her to wear that kind of outfit in winter and she should have worn this ordinary Santa outfit. Tsubaki says that it is because the boss wanted her to get more customers. Tsubaki is surprised when Kyouta suddenly shouted that it isn’t good, not one bit. Kyouta keeps on urging her to wear that traditional type of Santa outfit but it seems Tsubaki didn’t get what he meant that she says that it is okay for her to wear that Santa girl outfit inside [<- there’s a heater in the building].
Then, she twists the door knob and says that she’ll go and do her best at work. Kyouta blushes upon seeing a bit of her legs and half of her shoulder exposed. He then says that isn’t the problem. He quickly closes the door to stop her from going out and shouts, “It’s totally unsuitable for you to dress up like that!!” Tsubaki looks surprised. Kyouta starts insisting again that she wear that other Santa outfit and he finds it very interesting if she wears a beard, too. He doesn’t want her to be a lewd Santa. Remembering what he said earlier that she totally unsuitable [wearing the Santa girl outfit], Tsubaki asks, “..is that so..and you never told me..” Kyouta is puzzled then goes into shock when Tsubaki shouts, “Tsubaki-kun actually likes COSPLAY!!” Then, all sorts of cosplay girls pop in Kyouta’s head who looks as if he was shell-shocked. He then holds her shoulder and exclaims, “Ha?!” Then, the boss, some girls and other male waiters barge in the room as they all ask if Kyouta is actually like that and he is still a high schooler yet he has that kind of interest. The boss shouts for them to quit goofing off. Kyouta angrily kicks them all out. Flashback: Yuki happily told Tsubaki that actually Kyouta doesn’t feel comfortable if the other party doesn’t cosplay. Yuki became angry when Tsubaki clueless doesn’t know what’s cosplay. “It’s Costume Play! That is like wearing nurse and other female uniforms!! Geez, how annoying.” Tsubaki told her that she haven’t heard Kyouta saying that before and ask Yuki to quit making things up. Yuki told her that it is because Kyouta is just enduring it. “Do you think that Kyouta would be satisfied with just an ordinary way of doing it? And speaking of that, just look at this body in front of you, compared to you, my time with him is much longer and closer! Because he feels that you cannot satisfy him and you’re too early to try to compete with my chest. Hehe.” Tsubaki looked flustered. End flashback. While Tsubaki is cleaning the table, she tells gloomy Kyouta who is sitting that is what G-cup sempai told her. Kyouta laments for her to be at least conscious that it is just a joke and what does she think of him. Tsubaki asks him if he really doesn’t like cosplay and there is no need for him to force himself to hide it. Kyouta angrily shouts that no, [he isn’t into cosplay] and why is she still saying that. “And, didn’t I tell you before? It doesn’t matter what you are wearing. [<- before having their first sex] If you still remember that, then you would realize that I don’t like cosplay. You’re really a useless girl so even for ten thousands of years, you’re just Number 2! Stupid stupid.”
Tsubaki gets angry as she takes her Santa hat off and throws it at Kyouta. She tells him that for her, it is only Kyouta who had lots of experience and he knew a lot of other girls. “Compared to the other girls, don’t you feel that I’m boring. What if you aren’t satisfied with me..” Kyouta holds her hand and says that he won’t compare. Tsubaki tells him that is nonsense for how can he not compare. Kyouta hugs her tight and says, “Because there’s nothing to compare it with. Because this feeling of love and going steady with you, Tsubaki, is also my first. Have feeling and not have feeling [while having sex] is totally different. It totally cannot be compared with- Before I went steady with you, I also didn’t know about it. If only that person is you. I’m fine with all those other negligible areas. So, quickly change from this lewd Santa outfit, will you? *blushes* I don’t want others to see you in that kind of get-up..” Soon, Kyouta is manning the counter. Yuki calls out to him and asks why he is working on Christmas Eve. “Aren’t things with your girlfriend going well?” Kyouta tells her no, everything is going well and they have resolved the misunderstanding. Yuki laments that is very boring for she wanted to do it once again with Kyouta before she graduates. She sighs and says that his girlfriend obviously hated it but in the end, still did it. “I guess I really have no more opportunity. Teasing her a bit should be okay, right?” Kyouta says that it’s fine because he’ll resolve the misunderstanding. Yuki looks at him and says, “..Kyouta, I thought that we are of the same kind, but it turns out that we are totally not the same.” Kyouta tells her that it isn’t so. He smiles and says, “If you meet the person you like, sempai, you’ll also become like me.” Yuki turns away and says that she cannot stand that and she’s going home. She then asks him to say hi for her to the one in room 605. “What was his name again..anyway..it’s a guy..say hi [for me].” [<-She’s ditching the guy whose name she cannot remember ^^;] Kyouta calls out, “Yuki-sempai, good luck on your exams.” Yuki turns to him and smiles. Before she can leave, the door to the rest area opens. Tsubaki is wearing a traditional Santa outfit. Tsubaki asks Kyouta what she should do for it is a bit too big. While Tsubaki is fussing about it, Kyouta says, “Tsubaki, you..” He then turns around blushing. He got ‘stabbed in the heart’ as he thinks that compared earlier, this is more.. Yuki looks shock over Kyouta’s expression. [Hehe, so Kyouta is really into ‘old fashioned’ =P ]
Chapter 70: This is basically a flashback chapter. While Tsubaki is combing her hair, she thinks that at first, she thought that Kyouta is an awful guy but she gradually fell in love with him. Even if she is dumped once, she couldn’t sever her love for him. Then, the feeling of wanting to be cute is born and she never thought that they would fall for each other mutually. If she didn’t love, she wouldn’t have experienced such cruel things but compared to that, she had much more happier moments because of love. It’s really great that she fell in love with him. She blushes upon remembering the time when they had sex. Sakura opens the door and asks Tsubaki if she isn’t going for they [Sakura + parents] are all going now so she ought to hurry. Tsubaki puts on her bracelet that Kyouta gave her. Then, she heads out of her room. While Kyouta is working at the karaoke bar, he narrates that from the start, Kyouta just wanted to play around with Tsubaki. He finds her interesting so he wants to do to her like what he did to those other girls, play around then throw her away. But, he couldn’t discard her and even let her discover something that I do not want others to know. He became awkward to the point of not having any plans. This is the first time he has met that kind of girl. So maybe if it is her, he feels that he can try trusting her. Dating a Showa girl unexpectedly continued on until today. He never thought that he would be very happy over this kind of thing. He obviously thought that regardless of what happened, he won’t let her go. Kyouta is serving some drinks to the customers then later on, the customer breaks a glass when the microphone wire got caught on the glass. While picking up the pieces of glass, he cut his finger and remembers the time when he is forced to break up with Tsubaki because of his past. Yet even if it is like that, she kept on believing him. No matter how shameless he is, he still wants to have her once again. She is his and he won’t let her go ever again. The boss then calls out to Kyouta to hurry up since it is time already. Kyouta says okay.
At the temple, Tsubaki says that there are a lot of people there. Sakura gloomily says that she wants to go with Nishiki for her hatsumode [first shrine visit]. Their mother reprimands Sakura that of course, a high school student cannot be out the streets [alone] so late at night. Tsubaki just looks thoughtful when she notices that snow is falling. She looks up and exclaims, “It’s snowing..!” Someone shouted the same thing at the same time as she did. She looks at the side and the two Tsubaki-s are surprised to see each other. Kyouta says that it turns out that she and her family also went to that same temple. Kyouta declines to go with the boss to some place where they will gather before it starts. Tsubaki tries to protest that she..but when Sakura is calling out to her not to get lost, she sees Tsubaki with Kyouta. Sakura decides to cover for Tsubaki and tells her to come back as soon as possible. Sakura goes to her mother to tell their mother that Tsubaki met with her friend. Tsubaki says that it’s the first snow. Kyouta says that it is quite cold. The two then had an awkward silence. Soon, everyone [boss and others] is doing a countdown for New Year. Then, the two hold hands as everyone shouted, “Happy New Year!” Later on, Tsubaki is surprised that Kyouta throws a coin at the altar. She asks if he is going to make a wish. Kyouta asks what’s with that question and can’t he. Tsubaki says that it is because he doesn’t seem the type who’ll do that. Kyouta admits that is true. “But this year is not the same.” Tsubaki just looks puzzled. The two Tsubaki-s smile and pray that, afterwards, they’ll always be together.
I don’t have any comment since it is hard to comment when everything is ‘wrapped up’. Okay, I have two regarding Kyouta’s mother. Honestly, I do not know what Kyouta expects her mother to do being in a situation like that. Can she like say, ‘Hold the divorce, I’ll just go back to my kid even if I’m being made into a human punching bag’? Kyouta does seem to make it appear as if he is the only victim here. I actually feel sorry for the mother who kept on trying to see him to ask forgiveness and make up for her mistake which simply is that her ex-husband turned out to be clever enough to twist the facts around. I guess she is lucky to have an understanding new husband who let her do that for years. Well, in the end, things ended up okay. The other comment is I hope that Kyouta or Kyouta’s mother insisted on getting that address of hers. Even if that happened, she is still his mother and it is she who nurtured his space dream/hobby. I think it is sad if they totally have no communication anymore as if they aren’t related. This is the latest Chinese scanlation by Mercury Studio.

La Corda d'Oro [Chapter 70] + Ouran High Host Club [Last Chapter] Teaser
Thursday, September 23, 2010
After her performance, everyone applauds and Kahoko smiles back. Ryoutarou says that it’s good that they manage to reach the self-choose piece portion. He asks Len if he was the one who taught that piece to her. After a pause, Len says no. Meanwhile, Kahoko thinks that she has persevered until the end. She looks up and spots the figure of Len and Ryoutarou at the back. Then, Len gives the flowers to Ryoutarou and asks him to be the one who’ll give it to Kahoko. Ryoutarou asks if he isn’t going to see her. Len pauses and says that his time is tight and it is already enough for him to listen to her performance. Kahoko tells Minami that she’ll go to the audience section even if Minami tries to dissuade her because the program is going to end soon. With thoughts that Len came, Kahoko runs out to see him but only finds Ryoutarou by his lonesome. She tells him that it turns out that they are standing behind the seats and she was really worried when they weren’t in their seats. She looks left and right and asks where Len is. She seems to look surprise upon seeing Ryoutarou’s expression. Since Ryoutarou told her that Len had already left, Kahoko thinks that he is still nearby so she heads out and tries to look for him. Len has already hailed a taxi and tells the driver to drive him to the station. He opens his bag and holds the scarf that Kahoko gave him. Then, the taxi passes by Kahoko. At that moment, Len looks up and sees her. He tells the taxi to stop. He goes down and meets with her. After a pause between the two, Len reprimands her as to what she is doing there and what about the competition. Kahoko says that she saw that he came and when she went to the audience section, Ryoutarou told her that he already left so.. She kept on rambling about being worried about not seeing him earlier and since he left, she hurriedly chased after him. After a pause, Len apologizes for coming late.
To his surprise, Kahoko says there’s no need to apologize that it is okay because it is enough that he came. Kahoko then looks surprised over what she said. She apologizes and says that the taxi is waiting for him. Len just says yes. She ends up apologizing for taking up his time and starts saying again how happy she is that he came. Len calls out her name to stop her ramblings. He tells her to calm down a bit and how could she come out while dressed like that. Then, he tells her that she played brilliantly in the last part. He takes off his coat and puts it on her. She looks at him and thinks that she has always been chasing after him since the first time she heard him play. Just as Len is walking away, Kahoko shouts that she’ll do her best. Len turns to slightly smile. Soon, teary-eyed yet smiling Kahoko watches as the taxi leaves with Len. Narration: “From that time on, I’ve always been chasing after him..I will henceforth..always will..” And, I guess that chasing can meant about playing-wise and not romantically. Ah..how long will he be away anyway? A year or until graduate? He doesn’t seem to be the type who would go for a long distance communication since he really needs someone to push him to take the initiative or someone else would take the initiative. Well, it seems that it is really bye-bye Len. One out and others now have a chance unless Kahoko would wait for him =P Thanks PSDOL and squishypao for the links. I actually thought they are raws but they are actually Chinese scanlation already ^^; Scans by 鏡花水月 for 琴音翻译组.
About Ouran High Host Club Last Chapter by 鏡花水月, it seems that Haruhi will be studying abroad for one year. Aghast and shock are the expressions of guests and members of the club. Then, they had a masquerade ball. Hehe, it’s the typical flashy type and they seem to be playing hide and seek wherein they are to find Haruhi. Haruhi dressed up as a girl so I think they couldn’t find her. Tamaki finds her then starts telling his plans on studying abroad, too. He seems to be showing her the place/building where they will be staying then Haruhi freaks out when Tamaki mentioned marriage. Lol. Haruhi weakens from all that kind of talk but in the end, a really nice kiss scene ^^ Soon, it is goodbye at the airport. Haruhi’s father is making a scene and it seems the girls finally learn that Haruhi is actually a girl. Then, in the US, in a huge room, Haruhi, Tamaki and Antoinette are together. Tamaki seems to be crying-excited over something. Haruhi seems to want him to speak in English. Lol, Tamaki is trying to ‘attack’ Haruhi in a funny way but they were interrupted when someone rang the door bell. Some parts are in English. ^^ “Good afternoon! We just moved in next door!” Haruhi opens the door to apologize for not introducing herself but to her shock, it’s the rest of the host club members. Haruhi closes the door. Haruhi and Tamaki goes = =lll Then, the members barge in and talk about who’ll get what room by drawing lots. They say that since she took the bold move to study abroad to pursue her dream, she cannot say that this is going to interfere with her studies. The couple goes into shock and Haruhi screams, “No~~!!!” There is also a bit of narration of Haruhi addressing her mother. Then, the last scene is the third music room is close with a note about being on a long holiday/break. Then, there’s a picture of the gang posing wherein all the members are currently studying abroad. The ending words are “The springtime of their life is far from over!! Let’s meet again!!” The End. It’s a nice over-the-top ending ^^

Free Talk: Lala Series' Teasers
Wednesday, September 22, 2010
It was already late at night yesterday when I remembered that Lala should be out by now. And I checked today, yup, it is. In teaser raws of VK 65 by 鏡花水月. It seems that Sara is building a harem..an all female one. Look, we got a GL pair about to kiss here, too. Lol, I agree with 鏡花水月. Those vampire hunters are busy threatening and interrogating Hanabusa about Sara when they should have just got Takuma instead. =P Anyway, the interrogation seems fun..as in funny way for the hunters to relive their stress ^^ It’s obvious that the author tries to lighten things up. Hehe, for torture, it seems that Zero and Kaien are into candles ^^; Kaito is into chainsaws while Yagari is into whips. And, I think Yuuki is reprimanding Kaname for leaving a rose on her earlier =P Well, basically, it seems that Sara is just going to cause trouble for everyone. I’m surprised by that one page teaser of Kaichou wa Maidsama 54. Hinata punched Usui. 鏡花水月 said that it is because blond uncle [that ninja wannabe] challenged Misaki and whenever she tries to approach Usui, darts/weapons are thrown at her. Hinata can no longer just watch this that he punched Usui. I think Hinata shouts at him to quit running away.
鏡花水月 only said that in Ouran High Host Club has become ‘Host Club Studying Abroad’..I can only guess that they all decided to study abroad with Haruhi and set up a club abroad ^^;; As for La Corda d'Oro 70, according to the teaser, Len didn’t wave or anything. He just turned around and left. As he leaves, he can still hear Kahoko playing. It wasn’t he himself who gave the flowers and it isn’t his initiative to meet [her, I think?]. So, in one sentence, Kahoko smiled while trying to restrain her tears as she watch that proud person’s figure walk away from the distant. I guess it is sayorana Len. No teasers for Faster than A Kiss and I won’t be summarizing it anymore because ankemaybe is doing it. She can translate from raws unlike me who have to wait for the Chinese which is delayed by around two months. Anyway as usual for most teasers, for details and clarifications, just wait for the scanlations ^^
Barajou no Kiss [Chapter 26]
Monday, September 20, 2010
The other girls ask Anis why she is siding with Mikage and it seems that lately, they are in good terms lately. “That girl is absolutely a ‘Frenemy’--!” Anis asks what a frenemy is. They tell her that a frenemy is someone pretending to be a friend but is actually an enemy. “Anis, you are definitely just being used by her!” The girls sweatdrop when Anis sheepishly apologizes and insists that she doesn’t know what they meant. “Is that English?” Then, Anis happily tells them, “Because, even if [we are] friends, there are also times when one doesn’t want to lose to the other, right? Even if it’s like that, friends are still friends.” Mikage mutters, “‘Friends--are still friends’..” Anis laughs and tells the fangirls that furthermore, they are exaggerating their seriousness over this matter. “Why isn’t everyone saying that he’s very indifferent, his physical appearance is so common that you cannot even see his eyes! So guys, please do not get angry over him, will you?” A girl tries to protest but another girl says that they are leaving. While the girls leave, one of the girls explains that Anis is totally na‹ve. They also think that Kaede is pitiful because Anis really thinks that Kaede isn’t that popular. Sparkling clueless Anis just waves goodbye to the others. Later on, Mikage asks Anis if she isn’t angry about the kiss. Surprised, Anis just says that she is only startled and she cannot really get angry. She thinks that honestly, she is a bit unhappy with Kaede. Anis somewhat smiles and tells Mikage, “Because you worked hard, I think that you are really amazing. In any other areas, I won’t lose either!” Narration: “As a ‘dominion’, I ought to work harder, that is what I thought.” At the special library room, Anis scowls and asks why things turned out this way. She thinks that just when she decided to do her best, suddenly there’s a division within. Kaede and Seiran are snubbing each other. Mitsuru comments that it is quite rare for them to be like that while, Mutsuki asks what had happened. Seiran exclaims that it is all Kaede’s fault for kissing some other girl right in front of Anis. Kaede is about to call him to stupid but he stops by exclaiming that he told him already that it didn’t happened [<- kiss wasn’t accomplish]. Anis gloomily mutters that it is that again. Mitsuru says it is because that Kaede’s kiss incident caused such a stir within the school. Kaede angrily stands up and shouts at Seiran that it is true [that nothing happened] and it has nothing to do with him. Seiran shouts back what does he mean by ‘nothing to do with’. “As a ‘rose knight’...for Kaede to do such a thing..I cannot accept it..”
Seiran then shouts that he’ll be going ahead today. He turns around and runs off as Anis tries to call him to no avail. Anis turns to Kaede and shouts his name. Kaede sighs and tells her not to mind Seiran and he actually doesn’t know what Seiran is angry about. Remembering his agreement with Mikage not to reveal things, Kaede scratches his hair and says, “I also have a pile of trouble..” Anis sweatdrops over his reaction and wonders why things ended up that way. Mitsuru just sighs while Mutsuki..no reaction. Outside, Seiran laments over his childishness since he ran away just because he is angry. “That would have startled Miss Anis..” He then thinks that he actually knows that the problem is with himself and it has nothing to do with what Kaede did. He still wasn’t able to do a first awakening and as a ‘rose knight’, he is falling behind the others. He sadly thinks, “And, because Kaede likes Miss Anis, I also want to help him do his best..I’m really..no matter what I do, I’m just an amateur that I cannot even do the first awakening. I do not want..to be left behind by the others..” As he looks up the sky, he notices that Ninufa is flying above. Seiran calls out to Ninufa and asks what happened that he is flying about. Ninufa goes to him and tells him about Itsushi regularly visiting Anis’ father and lately, Itsushi has a pained look and yet, he won’t say anything. Seiran remembers that Anis’ father, Schwartz is their enemy. He wonders if Itsushi is hiding something from them. Ninufa tells Seiran that he hates Schwartz since he feels uncomfortable when Schwartz is around so he [Ninufa] doesn’t have time to talk with Itsushi. Ninufa complains that it isn’t easy for him to notice the scent of somce Arcana card. This surprises Seiran.
Meanwhile, Anis is busy looking for Seiran. When she spots him, she overhears Seiran telling Ninufa that since it is like that, he’ll go verify it..that scent of the Arcana card. Ninufa says that he’ll go inform Anis and the other knights but Seiran stops him by saying that he would want to do this alone. Seiran also says that since they don’t know yet if there is really an Arcana card or not, then, he [Seiran] alone would be enough. Seiran tells Ninufa that they should go and find that Arcana. What Seiran did surprises Anis. She wonders what’s up with him [for doing that]. Soon, Anis follows the two outside to a flower shop. She mutters that it seems that Seiran really plans on searching for the Arcana card by himself. She then notices that she has followed them all throughout. She gloomily remembers Mitsuru telling her that as the Rose Princess, to please definitely have an escort whenever she goes back and forth to school. She feels that she’ll be reprimanded again. Since she is still bothered by that quarrel between Kaede and Seiran, she decides that as the ‘Dominion’, she should get the two to reconcile. Just when she is about to kiss the Red Rose card, she remembers Mikage trying to kiss Kaede. Looking a bit flustered, she tells herself not to mind it. She then kisses the card to call Red Rose Knight, Kaede. Anis tells him that Seiran plans on finding the Aracana card by himself. Anis finds it very strange when he said ‘I wanted to go alone’. “So, quickly make up with him already so that everyone can go and find it together.” Anis is puzzled when Kaede asks what’s so bad about it. “Guys also have times wherein they would want to do something alone.” Anis asks if he is still being difficult with. Kaede exclaims that it isn’t so. “That is that. This is this.” Anis tries to protest but Kaede just sighs heavily and says, “You, really don’t understand a guy’s heart.” Anis angrily thinks, “Then, do you understand a girl’s heart? Huh? Do you understand a girl’s heart!” Kaede continues to say, “But then, this is also fine since it looks interesting, so let’s just secretly watch them from behind.” Anis is delighted to hear this for in the end, Kaede is really worried about Seiran.
So, the two follow Seiran and Ninufa. While Seiran looks at his cellphone, Ninufa tells him that place is the first one. Kaede comments that those two are really high tech. “Is that the power of the Blue Rose?” Anis sweatdrops and tells him that Seiran is only using the GPS function and Kaede should quickly buy a cellphone already. [Ah, I’m not sure which one of the two is talking since both has sweatdrops in their faces but I’m assuming that Kaede is more old fashioned so..] They watch Seiran go in the store then heading out again. Since Seiran looks dejected, they assume that Seiran didn’t find it. Kaede then exclaims if that is the store Seiran just went in. It is a lingerie store. Blushing a bit, Kaede wonders what kind of person Seiran is for him to go in there without having a change of expression [<- not embarrassed]. They then see Seiran is going into another store then they wonder why Seiran is tossed out. Seiran goes back and asks why [he cannot go in] when it is still business hours. A burly man tells him that girls are forbidden to enter their place. Anis thinks that it is a specialized store. With sparkles, blushing Seiran exclaims, “I’m..a guy..!!” Seiran is shock when the burly man strips [ala Incredible Hulk – flex muscles and breaks the shirt] and shouts that if he wants to prove that he is a guy then, he should strip naked. Determined Seiran is willing to strip since he ought to do his very best for Anis. Anis freaks out over this that she grabs Kaede and shouts for him to replace Seiran in stripping his clothes off to get in. Flustered-tense Kaede shouts, “Why me!!” =P In the end, before anyone does any stripping, Ninufa turns around and says that he was mistaken. So, they continue to follow Seiran who goes up the tree to check a bird’s nest, got caught by some gay cosplayers in a bar and looking around in some boxes at a storage area. Kaede comments that Seiran is really doing his best. Anis agrees and it would be nice if they can find an Arcana card. She thinks that after doing things to that extent, she hopes that Seiran can find it.
In front of a residential building [<- or resident community center type of place that has a swimming pool. Part of the sign in the building is in Japanese ^^;], Seiran asks if this is the next one. Slumping on Seiran’s shoulder, Ninufa says that it is. Seiran comments that it seems that all of the places they looked were wrong. Ninufa complains that he’s already tired and they should go home already. Seiran doesn’t want to because he is determined to find at least one Arcana card in order for him to be of help to Anis. He thinks that if there is an opportunity, maybe he can find an Arcana card by just depending on himself. Seiran takes out a bottle and says that he should find the easiest way in. Anis and Kaede freak out that he is going to use blast it to get in. Just then, they notice a little boy behind them who is crying for his mother. They think that the boy is lost. Kaede tells Anis to watch over Seiran as he goes to help the kid find his parents. Anis winks and happily agrees. Carrying the boy on his shoulders, Kaede tells the boy not to cry, for isn’t he a guy. Anis smiles over this and thinks, “Guy’s heart, huh..gambatte--Seiran!” Seiran then tries a door open. He is surprised that it is open. Seiran climbs upstairs as he asks Ninufa if the scent is there. Ninufa says yes and it totally feels very messy and strange. Seiran is puzzled as to why Ninufa said that it is strange. Seiran then finds a huge swimming pool. He thinks that it could be in the water. He bends down to look closer. From the reflection on the water, Seiran sees a silhouette of a guy with a long pony tail behind him. The man asks, “Blue Rose Knight, are you alone? In my specialty domain of water, I won’t let you take the card.” Seiran turns around to see the man who is controlling water with a sphere [unless that is a sphere of water ala DBZ =P]. He thinks, “Fake Violet Rose, Fujinomiya Shiden*--!! [*formerly Touda] Miss Anis, I only, I only do not want to be left behind by the others and--” Seiran is sitting duck as the pointy-shaped water are going to attack him. Anis hurriedly runs and shouts, “Seiran!!”
And, I think Seiran is going to get his wish or rather reward for all of his effort. Hehe, it won’t just be an Arcana card but also, it might be his first awakening. ^^ If that happens, then Kaede will be the last one who’ll have his awakening. I think that it would be interesting if he goes to the second awakening immediately so that it can heighten the competition between the guys more especially since he will be one awakening away from being becoming the ‘winner’. From the looks of things, I think the Fake Roses are stronger than the real ones. The way to defeat them seems to be the awakenings which ironically is what Anis trying to avoid. Speaking of that, I think the pairings of real roses vs fake roses is based on the relation of the colors. Violet is related to blue just as grey is related to black. If that is how it is, does it mean that it will be white vs silver and red vs gold? Back to the kiss, well, Anis, seems and yet seems not, to mind too much about it. Is she just denying to herself that she isn’t happy about it, too busy brainwashing herself about what their relationship is or does she really have no feelings for him whatsoever except from the knight-dominion and a friend? I’m not sure how to react over Anis defending Mikage from the others. Anis is just too naive but somehow, I wonder if she can change or win over Mikage. It is interesting to note of how the author made a contrast of how real friends quarrel. With Kaede and Seiran, Seiran visible shows his displeasure whereas Mikage is more of a ‘backstabber’ type. Well, because of Kaede’s fast reflex, he manages to protect his precious lips. Hm..maybe that is why Anis isn’t so bothered by it since there is no real kiss and it is a one-sided thing ^^; The bottom line is, Kaede is still in the running to win Anis and Seiran will help him if there is an opportunity to do so. I’m not really complaining especially since Kaede needs all the help he can get since Anis is totally clueless over his feelings for her. I think those two other guys can woo Anis on their own =P

Teasers:I’m currently working on Barajou no Kiss 26 but it is impossible to finish it today. ^^; Half of it is about Kaede and that ‘kiss’ then, the other half is about Seiran’s little adventure. Mitsuru Mutsuki [typo ^^;] only has one line ^^;; Well, I hope that the Chinese scanlation of Stardust★Wink 21 will come out by the time I finish. I’m excited over that and will drop everything for it. =P The author is really not dragging the series. Nanoka is already busted and the more exciting part..it seems that Anna is on a double date with those two..with Hinata..not that one..the other one =P I’m also expecting La Corda D'Oro this week. Well, if those latter two aren’t out yet, I’ll be doing Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu. Hehe..hopefully, 6 chapters..though technically it’s 5 chapters because I’m not going to summarize a recap chapter. So, three chapters to finish the closure with Kyouta’s mom, then two Christmas chapters and lastly, chapter 70 which is a recap and New Year wish. That’s the tentative plan for this coming week.
By next week or so, we will probably know the ending of Ouran High Host Club. Speaking of endings, let me get this out my chest. Nabari no Ou has ended and I’m disappointed. Actually, I guess it is downhill for it ever since the author killed off Yoite. I just browsed through it but basically, it is a swift ending. They seem to be going to seal that ‘fairy’ of his. Kumohira revealed what happened in the past wherein some bad guy interrupted when they seem to try to seal the ‘fairy’ from Miharu’s mother and killed off most of Miharu’s family. The bad guy killed Miharu and forced Miharu’s mother to use the ‘fairy’ then one thing after another happened that somehow Kumohira’s half-assed sealing caused Miharu’s mother to ‘disappear’ that he felt he killed her thus swear never to kill again. It turns out that earring of his has a recording of Miharu’s parents + baby Miharu. ^^; The bad guy turns out to be Fuuma who lusted for the ‘fairy’. He almost killed Kumohira to force Miharu to use the ‘fairy’ thus he can steal it. Too bad for him, Kumohira is still alive and stabbed him in the neck. Dead. The other villain guy with a secretary is killed by the secretary who turns out not to be blind at all. No more bad guys. ^^; Anyway, they finally succeeded in sealing it together with immortal Koichi and Shijima. It seems that the ‘fairy’ is lonely and needed some company ^^;; So, everything ends happily with the rest who are alive and I think Yoite manages to pass on..he seems to be trapped in the cat before because of Miharu’s earlier wish[? Not too sure]. So, what am I disappointed about? Well, I thought this is all about Miharu becoming king of the ninja-s with his power. Oh well, it should be obvious that he won’t be because he cannot really fight or anything. Anyway, at least, I’m grateful that the author didn’t kill off Kumohira after killing off the other characters that I like. ^^; Then, there’s Ilegenes..I thought it is about how he’ll change how things are in that island but it turns out that he just killed off that guy whom he thought killed his parents but he turned out to be just a ‘manufactured being’. Blond roommate helped him get over it with the help of his family and that’s it. Huh? He just regained his will to change the island and that’s it?! Oh well, I guess it is like leave it to your imagination if he’ll succeed or not but what’s important is he got his resolution back and he isn’t so arrogant anymore. =P
Futsumashi na Yome desu ga [Chapter 4]
Saturday, September 18, 2010
Then, she met some delinquents [<- Hashiba] who think of making her into a soccer ball. They kick her around and boar Riene started to regret for running away from the monastery. Satsuki came and shouted for the others to stop it else it will die. Hashiba exclaimed for him being so arrogant in saying that when he is just Satsuki. Soon, it started to rain. Bruised Satsuki asked boar Riene if it is alright. He hugged her and is delighted to find out that it is still alive. “By a girl..or rather a boy, I was [saved and] taken home.” End flashback. Riene smiles at Satsuki and says, “And that person is Satsuki. The name given to me by Satsuki is Thunderbird.” Satsuki is surprised by all this. Riene continues to say, “Even if the time we spent isn’t long, but everyday, we were together..*sleeping together* I really like the sweet mixed veggie pancakes that Satsuki’s mother make. *Satsuki’s mother bring out the pancake with toothpicks on top* [<-toothpicks = candles?] Very warm..truly warm..The me who doesn’t have a family now have a friend and a family. *Satsuki reads a book with Thunderbird while Satsuki’s parents are around him*” Satsuki says, “Wait a minute, Thunderbird died while trying to protect me from a car accident. *Thunderbird jumped to push Satsuki to safety* I buried it with my own hands. *Satsuki and Aki buried bleeding Thunderbird with a little stick as a memorial on top of the ground.*” Riene tells him, “I didn’t die!” There is a scene of Thunderbird crawled out of the ground. Holding up her fist, Riene said that she is dead for some time. “But, I still have one breath left! Afterwards, someone came and took the weak me.” The guy, who turned her into a boar, took her and said that she’s really hopeless. Riene darkly says, “It is that darn Master.” Satsuki thinks that Riene really hates that Master. Pointing to the ribbon on her hair, Riene asks if he still remembers that ribbon. It is the ribbon that Satsuki tied up on memorial stick. Satsuki looks surprised then he remembered that he did tie up a ribbon on it. A bit flustered, while remember being with his little boar, Satsuki says, “..That is because..I really like that Thunderbird.” Riene is really happy to hear this. Satsuki then clarifies to her that sweet mixed veggie pancake is a crepe. [It is a bit blurry here but I think that his mother couldn’t make it thin enough or that is his mother’s style of crepe.] Remembering Thunderbird, Satsuki somewhat smiles and says, “So, it’s like that..still..alive huh.” He thinks that it’s really good that Thunderbird is still alive.
Riene happily goes to him and hugs him. “Satsuki!” Satsuki is surprised by this then to his horror, Riene starts groping his buttocks. ^^;; Satsuki immediately punches her away as the mood is totally gone. Satsuki angrily reprimands her not to reckless grope someone else’s butt. “Why don’t you change that pervert habit of yours!” Crying Riene holds her face and mutters that Satsuki’s defense is so tight. Pushing up his glasses, Satsuki tells her that if she can change that pervert habit of hers, she can come back. Riene tells him that he said that he hated her..really detest her. As the sun shines behind him, Satsuki says that is..there’s no other way. “And, there is still about that marriage spell. You should think of a way to break it. If you want to go back, then you can just come back.” Riene is really happy over this. At home, lying down on his futon, Satsuki angrily complains that he already told her yet why didn’t she come back yet. He even had mercy on her.. “I don’t care about her anymore! *looks at the table with some food wrapped in cling wrap* I even made a rare sweet mixed veggie pancake. The me, who is heavily in debt! Speaking of that, it is also too strange for a person to turn into a wild boar! What the heck is this spell stuff. Thunderbird and that girl aren’t a bit the same for Thunderbird is more..more..” Satsuki becomes speechless and gloomy as he remembers that Thunderbird likes to peek in his shirt, peek under his dress and steal his underwear. He is always puzzled when Thunderbird kisses him, and stares at him while he is dressing up. [Hehehe..^^;] Satsuki gloomily thinks, “That’s right, THAT PERSON IS AN ALIEN. Right, I’ll think of her as an alien. I won’t think of it again..I.” Later on, at night, Satsuki sits up and looks at the ring. He darkly mutters, “Alien..huh. Must have mistaken it with some domestic animal.” [<- I don’t get it. The only thing that came into mind is alien and cattle abduction for experiment-type..because of Gintama ^^; Also, I think it is the spirit in the ring who is talking or the possessed Satsuki type since the speech bubble is different..double circles for the speech balloon.]
The next day, Riene is leaning her head on the post near some garbage bags. Passing by her, some people wonder what she is doing near the garbage. After a while, Riene’s stomach starts to growl out loud. Riene is actually in a mental struggle. “I want to touch Satsuki, I want to rub against his face, I want to smell his scent, I want to OOXX with him. I should say that if I don’t touch [him], I’ll DIE!!! *Riene cries upon remembering that Satsuki would allow her to return if she can get rid of her pervert habit* It’s like waiting to be pronounced a death sentence--! I cannot do it I cannot do it I cannot do it I cannot do it. That kind of defense method is too vicious! It’s too cunning! God, help me get rid of that defense!” A pretty girl from Satsuki’s school is looking at Riene. She holds out a Natto-chocolate bar [Natto is fermented soybeans and geez, what does that taste like] and says that if she doesn’t mind, she [Riene] can eat that. Noticing the girl’s huge chest, Riene takes the bar. The girl starts walking away. Riene happily eats the bar and mentally thanks the boobacious bishoujo. At school, the pretty girl is talking with Fumikura that it really surprises her because that girl [Riene] is around their age yet she is already a homeless freshman student. “Where could her parents be? –Hey, Kyou, are you listening?” [Fumikura is a surname] Kyou notices her and apologizes. The girl tells him that Satsuki is sitting in front of him so did they talk already. Kyou says that they totally didn’t and even if they did, Satsuki would only just say ‘ah ya’, ‘really’ type of casual sounds. The girl says is that so. Removing his headphones, Kyou says that it’s no big deal for it is normal to be like that when one reaches high school and it seems that Satsuki is really close with Kamina. The girl says that it is quite lonely then.. She stops upon noticing something. She then says that in the next class, they are going to a different classroom so she’ll go on ahead. Kyou bids her goodbye.
After she left, Kyou is surprised when someone holds on his head and says, “Hi, bro! That brilliant smile of yours is quite cute today, too. I also want to have a cute [younger] twin sister ♡” He makes a side comment that in high school, Kyou’s twin peaked with an outstanding body and became excellent in everything including grades and sports. Kyou just says that expectation exceeds as well as disappointment. [<- don’t know what he exactly meant but I’m guessing he meant his friends to have a high expectation but they will be just equally disappointed when she rejects them.] One of his friends asks if Kyou and Satsuki’s relationship are okay already and it is quite unexpected. Thinking that they have overhead, Kyou says that it is from a long distant past. They look in the classroom to see Satsuki sleeping on his desk. Kyou’s friends say that Satsuki is very unapproachable, very arrogant and sleeping again. Kyou remembers young Satsuki happily calling out to him. Kyou sadly says that he wasn’t like that before. They ask what but Kyou dismisses it as nothing. Then, his two friends ask Kyou to lend them some money for this month. Kyou says that they already borrowed money from him for next month yet they haven’t returned the money. They tell him not to haggle about it. “We are friends, right?” A bit flustered, Kyou looks surprised about this. Meanwhile, some old teacher is reprimanding Hashiba and friends. The teacher screams, “What’s up with that hairstyle! There is even an arrow in it! A papaya? William Tell? Newton’s Law? If the homeroom teacher is a good-for-nothing, then the students are also good-for-nothings! What’s with this class! And speaking of that, your homeroom teacher, he kept on cheerily talk with the female teachers, women in the cafeteria and even the students’ mothers! Outrageous! Totally outrageous! Geez! You guys just stand there!” He angrily stomps away to leave.
The delinquents mutter that what he said at the latter part has nothing to do with them. Hashiba looks at the back and says, “Don’t hide, homeroom teacher.” Daiki stands up behind them from the room’s window and asks if he is already noticed. “Ah, Ryofu, that’s quite a modern hairstyle ♪ That arrow is shot by Kamina.” Ryofu angrily says that he couldn’t get it out. [Ah, how can you sleep with that? ^^;] Daiki says that it is definitely because they bullied Satsuki and ever since before, if Aki got angry, he can be really frightening. Hashiba says that it seems Daiki is familiar with Kamina. Daiki says pretty so and he’s very familiar with him before. “When I was in college, he and Satsuki [with Thunderbird] would always go to play at my apartment. I would get them to watch an adult video that I passed off as an anime show. I made Satsuki cry [and Aki dark]. How nostalgic..” Ryofu angrily shout for him not to talk about it in a nostalgic way. Hashiba tells Daiki that he’s siding with Kamina. Daiki denies it by saying that as a teacher, he is fair in regards to students, not siding with anyone but not applicable to androgynous [/gender bender; not sure if I got that right but it is either that or he is biased with girls] ☆” Someone angrily shouts for him to shut up. Daiki flicks Hashiba’s forehead and tells them about the bullying, he really wishes that they graduate soon and they ought to just stand there for their punishment. With that, Daiki left them. Holding his forehead, Hashiba complains that it hurts for Daiki unexpectedly used a lot of strength in it. Looking at the side, Hashiba says that compared to them, that side is nastier. He is referring to Kyou’s friends who want to borrow money from Kyou. Kyou says that he really couldn’t resist them so is 30,000 enough. His friends happily say that no wonder he is a young master and it is such a huge help. The last scene is a long curly haired woman, Mergui, singing some ‘I will eradicate ghost and evil spirits from this world’ song while walking in the streets as she pulls her luggage. Her face isn’t shown as she then says, “I have arrived ♥ Sister has arrived, my foolish younger sister Riene!”
I think Daiki is the one who corrupted Riene while she is Thunderbird when he showed that adult movie to the boys. I wonder if Riene and Daiki would hit it off when they meet. I can imagine Riene asking him for tips on how to get Satsuki and Daiki would oblige ^^; Before I thought that Satsuki isn’t interested in love because of his many problems, now, I wonder if Daiki traumatized the poor boy when he made him watch an AV at such a young age. Speaking of that, since Daiki knows that one shouldn’t mess with Aki if he is angry, I wonder if he ever got into Aki’s bad side because Daiki is one of Satsuki’s bullies. ^^; It is nice that we finally get another female character in the story. This seems to be a harem series but not exactly all the guys in love with the girl because the lead character is a guy..and it isn’t exactly BL either =P It does seem to be the story of typical guys in school plus some supernatural elements because if Riene and exorcists aren’t in the story, this could pass of as some slice of life series with comedy, of course. Anyway, back to what I was writing, I wonder if Kyou’s twin knew that his friends are using him as a friend in order to borrow money from him. Hashiba thinks so and well, he ought to know how people like him think. I wonder if Kyou knew too but he has no choice because he has no other friends. I’m curious what happened between him and Satsuki. Is it related to Satsuki’s debt problem? I’m thinking about his father or totally something else? I guess Satsuki has a lot of pride that he doesn’t want to ask for help or even borrow money from Kyou just like what the others are doing. Anyway, I think this series’ strength is its characters. They are amusing characters because they are atypical from the usual shoujo. The plot doesn’t seem to be moving much but I guess the author is focusing more on the backgrounds of the characters first. I find it interesting that while Satsuki looks like a girl when he was young, Riene looks like a boy. I feel that it is because of how they are treated/acted, it somewhat carried over to what they are now. Satsuki seems like a poor Cinderella-type while Riene is a dirty old man =P Really, how often does one see a female sexual harasser in a shoujo? Hehe, it does make me wonder who the target audience is because some of the themes can turn off girls ^^; I feel that I’m reading Gintama shoujo version. ^^;; Scans by 黑主真绫 for BW

Akuma to Love Song [Chapters 69-70]
Thursday, September 16, 2010
While the two are walking, Maria had overheard what Yuusuke said that she begins to think that Shin is ‘really ero’. Flustered a bit, she begins to think that they are now already lovers so they should hold hands. She quickly grabs his hand but opps, it is his injured hand so she let go when Shin blurts out ‘ouch’. She mentally apologizes for that. She blushes when flustered Shin asks her if she would want to go to his house. In his room [I presume], while Shin is putting their bags at the side, he tells her that his father is currently on an overseas trip and his mother had accompanied his father. Looking at a bookcase, Maria stiffens upon thinking that there is physical contact during lovey-dovey and it is a must. Noticing her looking at the bookcase, Shin tells him that those are music sheet/score books and she can take her time to look at it. He has touched her shoulder that nervous Maria drops the music books on the floor. Shin apologizes and says that he didn’t mean to surprise her like that. She bends down and motions for Shin to wait. Maria gathers the music books together and put them on the floor. She thinks, “So, it is like that. ‘Meguro is really ero’ So..” She sighs and with sparkle in her eye with determination, she looks at him then suddenly hugs Shin to kiss him. “I will respond and show you, Meguro.” [Hehe..she earlier thought that Shin wanted to do it when he touched her shoulder ^^;] Since it is so sudden, blushing Shin pushes her away and shouts for her to wait. That made Maria lose her balance that she falls on the floor..on her butt. Aghast Shin quickly bends down and asks if she is alright. Shin apologizes and says that he didn’t mean to push her down. Maria blushes really red then wonders if she made a mistake. Shin is surprised by her expression that he giggled. He holds her shoulder and tells her to relax for he thought that if she goes home, he’ll be alone so he wanted her to come eat dinner with him. He says that she definitely thought that it is for some ero reason that he asked her to come over. Shin is aghast when Maria cutely nods her head.
Shin sighs and tells her to forget it for it is inevitable for her to think that way. He apologizes for what had happened at the music room before. Looking down, He tells her that he really regrets it for he was too self-centered and he knew that it is wrong. He looks at her and tells her that if she isn’t happy about it then it won’t do. “That’s right, I want that both our feelings are coordinated with each other. But I was only engrossed with my own feelings, as a result, I made you remember some painful memories and even made you lose your voice..I’m..really disappointing..” He stops when Maria suddenly holds to hug him. This made Shin blush. While Maria is comforting him, she thinks that she never thought that it is his fault and there is nothing that he needs to be this repentant to her. “He is so cute. His cool side and his not good side are all shown to me without reservations, I’m really happy.” Maria kisses his forehead. Maria looks as if she decided something. She then pushes him away. Shin looks at her as Maria starts to remove her necktie and her blouse. She then removes her bra. She thinks that she also wants to reveal herself to him, the her that she would show only to him. Shin blushes really red. Maria looks somewhat sad when Shin looks away. He then mutters that it’s very beautiful. Then, he asks her to please put her blouse on. Maria thinks that she wants to return his feelings and she wants to tell him that she also wants to show herself to him but the current her cannot use words to convey it and she couldn’t think of any other method. When Maria is becoming sad over Shin’s response, Shin tells her that it is because if she is like that, it would make him want to touch her. Maria is somewhat surprised by that. Her expression softens. To Shin’s surprise, Maria holds his injured hand and places it on her bare chest. He asks if he can. Maria nods. While Shin starts stroking her chest, Maria closes her eyes and thinks that it is okay for Shin [to do this], and only to him, she’ll show this. “I want to show a lot more things that only Meguro can see. Only Meguro’s..eyes..ah..”
Shin seems surprised over this. Maria then snaps out of it as she opens her eyes and wonders what she [did] just now. Shin touches her again and she goes ‘ah’ again. Shin looks surprised and Maria seems puzzled over it. Shin then goes closer to her and still touching her chest. Maria is really aroused by it. She mentally calls out, “Ah, Meguro, Meguro, Me..Shin. Shin. Shin. How infuriating, why, why can’t I call out his name? I want to say it out loud-!” Maria is teary-eyed and upset. She opens her eyes and to her surprise, Shin is smiling at her. He tells her, “I can wait, always until you get your voice back. Just now, you called my name. About that, I still want to hear it with your voice. *touches her face* Calling me with your voice, so until then, I can wait..” Maria then notices that his injured hand is shaking. She holds his hand. Shin tells her that if he moves that hand a bit intensely, it will go into a bit of tingling spasm like that and it probably hasn’t healed completely. He gets her blouse and tells her to wear it else she catches a cold. Maria looks stern as she thinks that he is lightly dismissing it since he is only worried about her and he isn’t a bit concerned about himself. While Shin is thinking of preparing dinner, Maria feels that she should quickly get her voice back and find the fastest way to do so. While she is wondering how on earth she is going to do that, she notices a piece of paper beside the music books she put on the floor a while ago. She wonders what it could be since it has fallen from between the books. She is surprised to see that it is newspaper clipping regarding the truth about a junior high student being raped on her way home by an American navy soldier. On the newspaper, the pictures of Maria’s mother with her eyes covered [to protect identity] and her father are shown. Narration: “The first thought that came to my mind at that time [is, in order to] get my voice back, I should clarify everything and then make a resolution.”
News item: This is about a girl from Yokosuka who is being raped. At a famous exclusive all-girls school, an A-student is in junior high (14 years old when it happened) is a cheerful, lively bishoujo [<- beautiful girl]. There’s no need to talk about within for outside school, there is a fan club established for her. On some month and day [<- the scans seems to be just ‘O’=zero regarding the month and day], around 9 o’clock, while she is on her way home to Yokosuka wherein the travel time is around an hour, the A-student is suddenly grabbed into a nearby car and raped there. The culprit is John Cross (20 years old at that time), an US navy soldier who is stationed at Yokosuka city. In accordance to the Japan-US [bases] agreement, the soldier wasn’t punished in Japan and while he is being a kept watch on, he was sent back to his country. End article. [Note: About Cross, the romanji/in Japan, it is as pronounced as Kurosu..just like Shintaro’s surname.] At home, while holding a drink, Maria looks at the clipping and sighs. She thinks that this man is her father. “Honestly, it doesn’t feel real as if this is all someone else’s story. Why is it that my feelings weren’t moved at all..” She is surprised when Shin who is sitting in front of her as he lightly knocks her head. Maria looks up and finds herself in the classroom. Shin asks her what happened for she looks as if she is about to cry. This surprises Maria. Shin asks her what happened. Maria shakes her head while thinking that she wonders if that was indeed her expression. Somewhat flustered Shin asks if she doesn’t think that he is reliable. Just when Maria is about to protest, Yuusuke passes by and tells Shin that it is quite strange to see him before their English class when it is obviously their homeroom teacher’s class. Yuusuke teases him if it is because Shin got a girlfriend that he became serious. Embarrassed Shin tells him to shut up for if he skip class, he won’t attain the necessary school credits. Yuusuke just laughs and says yeah, yeah, but Shin’s actually worried about no voice Maria.
In class, while that irritating homeroom teacher is lecturing, Maria is lost in thought about why Shin has that newspaper clipping. She has a lot of things that she wanted to ask him and would want him to ask her. She then blushes over Shin’s huge back. While doodling Shin’s back and face and even wrote his name [as to who is the one she’s drawing ^^;] on her notebook, Then, Maria thinks that she shouldn’t do that since she doesn’t want him to worry about her again. The teacher then turns around and asks Maria to answer the question. Maria is caught by surprise. The teacher starts to taunt Maria if the question is too hard to answer. It is his alma mater’s subject before. Maria wonders if the teacher is showing off. Shin sternly looks at the teacher and tells him that he ought to know that Maria cannot talk. The teacher asks if it is just an alibi for not answering the question. Shin says that it isn’t an alibi because Maria has written the answer on her notebook. The teacher tells Shin to read it for him. Reading from Maria’s notebook, Shin says in English, “Equality does not mean that the people are equal in terms of intellect, physical strength, wealth...” The other students are amazed at how fluent he said it while some dismiss it as inevitable because Shin is a repatriation kid. [<- son of someone who lived abroad before returning to the home country]. Irritated, the teacher tells Shin to sit down. Shin notices that Maria is nudging his sleeve. Maria thinks that her notebook is just filled with doodles. Shin smiles at her and says that her drawings are really awful. This made Maria blush as she covers her face with the notebook that Shin has returned to her. Maria thinks that she can refute the teacher’s sarcastic remarks on her own. “I obviously do not want him to be anxious about me.” In the canteen, Shin tells Maria that if she won’t eat rice during lunch, then she should just eat some ramen/noodles. Maria nods her head. Shin freaks out that Maria is putting too much 5 spice powder. Shin tries to take the bowl away from her since too much of that spice is bad for her throat. Narration: “I obviously do not want him to worry about me.” Unfortunately, Shin forgot that he is still injured that he hurt his hand [/the bowl is just hot] that he dropped the bowl. While the others are wondering if he is okay, Maria looks aghast-startled. Maria and Shin notice that his hand is shaking again. Shin quickly assures Maria that his hand only slipped and apologizes to her for frightening her over that ruckus. He adds that even if she is startled like that, she still didn’t make a single sound. Because of that, Maria decides to start helping Shin around by volunteering to be the one who’ll sweep the floor during cleaning duty and help him with the translation homework. She is worried over the possibility that he couldn’t play the piano anymore and she feels that she has to do something so that kind of outcome won’t happen. Then, Shin looks a bit flustered [for being helpless I presume] as Maria starts reading through some cooking books on making onigiri [rice balls] or sandwiches that can be eaten with one hand. Maria doesn’t want him to be worried about her so that he can concentrate his energy on getting better.
After school dismissal, Maria has decided to go to Yokosuka to quickly get her voice back and not make Shin worried about her anymore. Shin notices that Maria quickly grabbed her bag and headed out of the door. Shin exclaims for her to wait and if she is going home, he’ll.. Just when he is about to reach for her using his injured hand, Maria quickly backs away for she doesn’t want him to use that hand. Shin is surprised by that. Maria is flustered that she wasn’t careful. Shin asked again if he isn’t that reliable. “I know that because of that time before, you have become a bit strange. I originally wanted to wait for you to come and talk over things but I thought I’m too assertive. Even if I’m assertive with you like this, I can still do a bit of something for you.” Shin turns away just when Maria is about to call him. She stops midway and thinks that she is the same way, too, but she wants to be of help to him. At the train station, Maria buys a ticket. Shintaro appears behind her and asks where she is going. He suddenly takes her ticket and says that it is 540 yen, the same cost as his. “Could it be that you are going to Yokosuka?” Maria looks surprised. Shintaro happily says that he guessed right. “Then, let’s ride the train together, have a date in the train. ♡ My home is also in Yokosuka- *sparkles* In order to see sempai, everyday I waste an hour trip to school. *leaning close to Maria* Don’t I deserve a reward? Don’t I deserve a reward?” Maria thinks that he’s too close to her. “If I goes alone with Shintaro, it isn’t good towards Shin because I’m already Shin’s lover.” Shintaro happily tells Maria that they ought to quickly ride the train and does she want him to buy some Kiyoken shiumai [steamed dumpling; seems to be a famous brand of shiumai/siomai].
Looking serious, Maria shakes her head sideways then, she turns away. Shintaro seriously asks if she’s going home already and is it because she doesn’t want to be alone with him. “You want to go to Yokosuka to get yourself [/voice] back, right? Since this is a rare opportunity, I want to help.” Maria looks at him in surprise. She wonders if he knew something. Shintaro breaks into a smile again and says that he is a local there so he ought to be able to guide her around. “So, do not avoid it..” Breathing hard from running, Shin holds Maria’s shoulder and tells Shintaro that she isn’t avoiding it for Maria wants to forge on ahead. Maria turns around to face Shin and blushes. Shintaro looks surprised. Breathing hard Yuusuke arrives and tells Shin not to suddenly head out of the classroom after saying ‘[I] can’t, just not care’. It is because Yuusuke is so bothered by it that he ended up chasing after Shin. This seems to have touched Maria. Shin then tells Maria that she took that newspaper clipping from his house since it is no longer in the music score book and he had wanted to ask her about it these past few days. “But, you wanted to resolve it by yourself...That little bit really infuriates me! I am your boyfriend! Even if I won’t be of help, you should at least say, ‘Accompany me’ to me!” Blushing Maria looks surprised over this. Shin then tells her to wait there while he goes to buy a ticket. Yuusuke asks Shin to buy him a ticket, too. Shin shouts okay. Yuusuke smiles while Shintaro looks displeased and flustered. Narration: “‘Accompany me’, [means] ‘together with me’. The two of us going forward together, go [and] overcome.” While Shin is trying to see how much it costs at the ticket machine, he is surprised when Maria holds tightly on his right arm. This made Shin blush. He tries to tell her that if she holds on too tightly, he cannot move.. Maria holds on his arm tighter. This made Shin asks if she doesn’t want him to move. He notices her smiling and blushing. He seems to finally realize that she doesn’t want him to use his injured hand. Shin blushes a bit and stops objecting. Narration: “The two of us.”
I’m beginning to think that Shintaro is related to Maria. Hehe, I guess that is a convenient reason for him to finally give up on Maria =P Of course, it is nice to see Shin being more proactive lately in order not to give any chances to Shintaro. I guess he doesn’t plan on becoming timid like before and just letting Maria do what she wants while just staying at the sidelines. He learned his lesson. ^^ Apparently, Shin really shines when he finally resolve on doing something just like when he started playing the piano again and now, he finally got Maria. Now, from the looks and symptoms of Shin’s hand, it does seem that it is really bad that I wonder if he really can still play the piano. In Maria’s case, I think there is a higher chance for her to get her voice back than for his hand to be completely healed. Hehe..so, like, that means if she got her voice back, they are going to have H [sex], right? ^^; The way Maria is seducing Shin like that, somehow makes me think of how the voiceless Little Mermaid tried to seduce the prince. It seems that the only tragic character in this series is Maria’s mother. It is really sad to see how a pretty and cheerful girl with a promising future has degenerated to someone who would try to commit a double suicide all because of some jerk who ruined her life. From being loved by everyone..then, being detested by everyone..to the point of being so helpless that her own daughter has to take up the burden of protecting her. It is really damaging to one’s self-esteem. I’m curious why she is raising up Maria on her own. Where are her parents or relatives? Did they disown her or something? The suicide wouldn’t have happen if they are there to support her emotionally especially since she is so young. Actually, wouldn’t it be better if she just lived in some other place where no one recognizes her? And one last question, why is Maria’s hair black when her parents’ hair color aren’t? Is it a manga thing or she got it from the grandparents or maybe they dyed their hair? ^^; Scans by 玉/wdsjznl for BW.

Hehe, I’m fascinated by the Heian theme lately. From the Heian drama in Mishounen Produce to that past arc in Nurarihyon No Mago and with that Kaguya Hime illustration at the side so why not use this one. ^^ This is from the chapter 15 colored cover of Sakura Hime Kaden. I actually had seen it a long, long time ago and was thinking of how to make it as a theme. Today, I got myself to do this while it is still autumn season..in some other countries =P And, I totally don’t know who’s who in that picture so don’t ask me about the pairings because I don’t read that series. ^^;
Koibana! Koiseyo Hanabi [Chapter 64-65]
Tuesday, September 14, 2010
Meanwhile, Shinichi follows Mii inside her house. Shinichi talks non-stop to Mii’s mother. “Ah, hello, I’m intruding again. [<- being polite] Ah- Don’t bother with any tea-whatever! Ah, I don’t mean that you couldn’t come into Mii’s room [as if we are doing something else]! I’m still not totally accepted, [but] Mii is also very serious, so you don’t have to worry!” He enters Mii’s room after Mii did. Mii’s mother just somewhat smiles and thinks that even if Mii is her daughter, she doesn’t understand Mii’s taste. Inside the room, Shinichi falls on the floor and laments that he’s too nervous and no matter how many times [this happened], he’s still nervous that he feels like falling over. Mii doesn’t have any reaction. She tells him that she’s going to change her clothes. Shinichi stands up and says that he understands, he’ll go to the balcony. With the window/door curtains are closed, Shinichi stands outside the balcony. He then looks up to see a teddy bear pillow [/cushion] hanging to dry. He remembers that it is the one he gave her during their date before. This had made Shinichi really happy. When Mii says that he can come in, Shinichi brings in the pillow and says that it is dry already. Mii tells him not to casually take her things because it’s gross. Shinichi is shocked. He apologizes for not being meticulous enough since he thought that she wouldn’t mind but she is right since it is something that sticks to her skin every night. Mii angrily shouts that’s gross. While Shinichi is holding the pillow to her, Mii punches it. Shinichi exclaims why, then says that it is a good punch. Blushing a bit, he says that it is the same with him for he had kept that scarf and chocolate day’ disguise decoration [<- fake glasses]. “..So..come to my house, too..you still haven’t come over, I want to introduce you to my parents.” Mii looks at him and then away as she says, “I won’t go, too troublesome.” This made Shinichi drop the pillow on the floor. Flustered, Shinichi asks, “Tro..troublesome?” Mii tells him that she is more relaxed at her house. Shinichi protests, “Though that is true, but if it is like that, then, forever, nothing will change, right? It’s zero if you don’t do anything! Escaping is also zero! It’s like that!” Then, Mii blurts out, “If you don’t like it, then let’s break up.” Shinichi [probably] looks surprise [since I cannot see his expression because of the glasses ^^;] that he asks, “..Mii..do you want to break up?” Mii’s reaction isn’t shown and she didn’t answer. While picking up the pillow, Shinichi says, “..what..it turns out that I’m the only one who’s feeling happy..I’m..really like a fool.. *shoves the pillow at Mii* Mii is such a big idiot--!” Shinichi picks up his bag and tearfully rushes out of the room. Mii holds the pillow and mutters, “..indeed..too yielding *teary-eyed* Too yielding..”
At home, Chikai talks to Cleo, “Cleo-chan, is this young master too childish?” Then, elsewhere, Hanabi is looking thoughtful. Narration: “What should I do..do to confirm this feeling? How can I prove love, this abstract thing?” After some time, Hanabi’s sisters are preparing to leave their house, Minato tells Anzu that lately, Chikai isn’t walking Hanabi to school. Anzu sighs and says that for Chikai, in the end, Hanabi is too difficult [to handle]... Minato comments, “Guys are that kind of creatures.” Anzu agrees. Then, somewhere else, Hanabi sneezes out loud. [<- belief that if one sneezes for no reason, s/he is being talked about, usually in a negative way] Hanabi wonders if it’s because of the flower pollens. At 1800m from school, Hanabi still doesn’t feel awful about school. At 500m from school, Hanabi thinks that there are many fun things in school. At 0m from school, in the end, something that is impossible is really impossible since Hanabi feels the same as when she first came to school. “And, I thought it became a bit better.” Hanabi becomes gloomy as she remembers Chikai asking her for proof. She looks around the blurry images of the guys around. “Prove one’s feelings? How to do that? How..to do that..” In the sewing from, Hanabi keeps on thinking until she is dizzy. She suddenly stands up and shouts, “I don’t know!” The teacher then asks if Hanabi has a problem. Surprised, Hanabi says that there is none. Then, all four girls look melancholic. Meanwhile, in the carpentry workshop, Chikai and buddies are comforting almost invisible Shinichi. Someone says that love is really difficult. Arashi tells Shinichi that in the end, that girl is too hard to handle for him. Shinichi replies, “Yes, perhaps, but I like her! She’s really cute!” Thinking that Shinichi meant external appearance, Arashi tells Shinichi that Mii is indeed cute but.. Shinichi exclaims that she also that kind of cute. “But what I’m saying is it’s the cute that means ‘making one want to pamper her’. Arashi and Soutarou mutter his name. [<- he’s hopeless] Chikai casually says that he understands. While someone is telling Arashi and Soutarou that he has psychic powers and it seems that Shinichi is about to disappear, Shinichi is teary-eyed. He exclaims that it is right and it’s love. Chikai tells him not to say what’s love for it’s gross.
During lunch break, Atsumi finds herself walking towards the place where Sasa usually pass by. She notices him by the corner. She is about to call him when three freshman girls call out to him. Atsumi quickly shrinks back to the corner to hide herself. The freshmen are happy that Sasa turned around. Atsumi thinks that she’s eavesdropping again. The girls tell Sasa that he’s cute or rather, he’s quite handsome. This made Sasa smile. The enamored girls ask if he has a girlfriend or perhaps someone he likes. Sasa looks surprised. After a long pause, Sasa says that he does have someone he likes and it’s a guy. After some nervous smile, the girls laugh and tell him not to joke around nor change the topic. Sasa just smiles and tells them that it is true. The girls continue with their nervous smile and say is that so. One of the girls tells the others that they should leave already. While passing by Atsumi, they mutter that it’s gross. After they left, Atsumi goes to Sasa then holds his hands from behind. Sasa turns around to face her. He is somewhat flustered-sad to see her crying. Sasa turns away [from her] again and says, “..Atsumi..Atsumi..strong, and very kind.” [<- I’m not sure if Sasa said all of that or the other half is Atsumi. If all of it is Sasa, then he is imitating what she told him before ^^] Narration: “[That] feeling really and truly exists! The pain in my heart makes me realize this a bit. It tells me that ‘it is here’.” Then, there is a scene of Kareshi together with Masato, invisible Shinichi, serious-no emotion Mii and somewhat sad Hanabi walking at that secret path alone. At Alon store, Atsumi calls out to Gen and says, “Boss..Sasa-kun, has me to accompany him! Even if Sasa-kun doesn’t accompany me, I will still accompany Sasa-kun..!” Narration: “If..[this] feeling exists..” By the river side, Nanpa sees Chikai playing with Cleo at the river bank. Nanpa happily thinks that it is those two. He is about to go to them but Hanabi restrains him. He turns around to see a somewhat flustered Hanabi looking at the other two. Hanabi can clearly see Chikai’s different expressions as he plays catch ball with Cleo. Chikai then turns around and he see her. Sad-blushing Hanabi mentally calls out ‘Uno Chikai’ in her head. She then mutters, “I like you.”
But wow, the distance for her to see him clearly is far away. It makes me think that this is a psychological thing for Hanabi or something. It does seem unfair that Hanabi is being asked to prove her love for him. But then, if this is some other manga, it would be sex =P Of course, in this case, it is just a mere kiss without being grossed out over it. ^^; I really wonder if Chikai used to make things difficult for Yukine but I think maybe Chikai is making sure about Hanabi’s feelings first before going all out with her. Maybe he is the type who would show affection when they are already together for real. After all, he did kiss her before but then, ego thing got the better of him because of Hanabi’s reaction. Since Chikai is a cat person, I don’t think he would easily show his affection again after that. It seems like pride or something..the same with Mii who is the female version of Chikai. Poor Shinichi, she really has him around her little finger. For him to run off like that, it makes me wonder ‘who’s the girl’ and ‘who’s the boy’ in that situation? ^^; It is really hard for Hanabi and Shinichi since they kept giving in to their ‘cat’ lovers and it does seem like they are being fooled around especially if the other party is really, really hard to read/understand. Hehe, but then, opposites attract, I guess. ^^; It is a contrast to Kareshi and Masato who are both the same. I’ll say that it is really courageous of Sasa to say that to those girls. I guess that is what one calls as accepting himself for what he is and not afraid of admitting it. Ah, won’t that expose him to more bullying later on? Well, it can actually be a test if they can accept him as him but of course, only Atsumi will and can pass that test. I hope Sasa will fall for her later on. It seems that the author is pointing out that when things are stagnant, one has to make a move or else.. In the last chapter, Masato made that move by proposing again. In this chapter, it is Atsumi making the move. I guess next time, it’s the dog-cat couples who are going to do a move to progress things between them.

Chitose Etc [Chapters 17-18]
Saturday, September 11, 2010
Shun thought, “What’s up with this girl, even if I want to, but..even I’m a bit afraid of girls around me, but this girl..I should say this girl’s body, reckless and interesting, so..” Shun asked, “..Is it really okay?” Narumi happily said, “Yes ♡” Narration: “So I willingly accepted her teaching. Later on, I’ll occasionally go to her house (of course when her family isn’t at home). By the way, about my relationship with my sister Kanan, even if I won’t say that it is bad but it isn’t that specially good, basically, there’s nothing much to talk about. So, I think that she doesn’t know about the thing between me and Narumi. Narumi and my sister don’t seem to be special close friends. During high school, I got in Haisawa Academy. My first choice is Toritsu [metropolitan] High but because on the entrance exam day, I got gastroenteritis that I wasn’t able to take the test.” Shun felt ill that he wants to puke and his stomach hurts. Feeling well, Shun scratched his head and said, “Forget it, it’s nothing..Haisawa is only two stations away from my house, very near, and it seems that Haisawa’s school spirit[/tradition] is also very liberal.” Narration: “Even if I thought that way, but I’m a bit frustrated more or less, so I’m not that interested in going to school.” In bed, Shun woke up and looked at the clock. It is 8:03am. He thought that he overslept so he’ll just attend the second period class. While walking to school, he noticed a long haired black girl. He wondered if she also overslept. While watching her, he thought that her legs are very pretty, and her hair looks shiny and soft as if she is from a shampoo commercial. “But, the face ought to be not that good..” Shun walked by her. Then, the girl turned around to face him. Shun is surprised to see that he was wrong with his assumption. She slightly smiled at him. “Her weak smile burned my eyes.” He watched her head towards a different building. He thought that she is heading to the east side of school which is the acting section. “No wonder..what year is she in? I don’t know what her name is. This is the first time I felt this kind of feeling. From then on, I started to like going to school because I find joy in chasing after her figure. [<- looking for her at the hallways] Every time when our eyes meet, she will also directly look at me.” Then, the scene changes to Shun sitting on the bed with his polo shirt open and Narumi is semi-lying on the bed. Narumi asked, “Love at first sight?” Shun said that it is so. “A girl whose name I don’t know.” She asked if it’s from his school. Shun said yes. He told her that he feels that girl is definitely interested in him. Narumi just ‘hm--’
Narration: “One day, she took the initiative to talk with me.” The girl asked him if he had joined a club. Shun said no though during junior high, he joined a soccer club. She asked him if he wants to join the matsuri/festival club. She explained that after the tanabata activity, the third year students are going to retire from the club so they lack in manpower. The girl smiled and said “If you are interested, you can go to the club room after school to check it out.” Shun blushed a bit over this invitation. “I decided to try checking this club out.” Upon entering the room, he is surprised when a guy and a girl grabbed his arm tightly and shouted, “Guaranteed new member! We warmly welcome you!” Narration: “And, that is how I was forced to join the club. I also learned that she is a first year student named, Aihara Saaya.” Saaya is really happy that he joined the club. Narration: “The club still had two third year students, and second year’s Midoriko, first year’s Kanata and also, there’s Yuki. First year’s Furuya Yukito. Yuki is obviously an ordinary section student even if he has a pretty face, and always surrounded by girls or they would strike a conversation with him. Even if he seems a bit frivolous, but it seems that he’s a not-so-bad guy. So, we quickly became good friends.” One day in the clubroom, Shun managed to see a piece of paper that Yuki is holding. He exclaimed, “Ah, Yuki, did you get third place [of their year level/batch] in the midterm exam?” Yuki held the paper close to his chest and reprimanded lewd wolf Shun not to look. Shun sweatdropped and wondered if Yuki is an idiot. Shun praised Yuki that he is amazing and his brain is actually really good. He mentally thought that even if Yuki is a fickle guy. Yuki said that it isn’t like that. Shun told him that it is irritating for him to say that when he obviously got a ranking. Yuki said that isn’t what he meant but rather, it is because he really did his best to study. Surprised, Shun asked if he likes to study. Yuki said that it isn’t like that..he just wanted to study medicine. Shun asked why he got in Haisawa and not some more advantageous high school regarding that field. Yuki told him that there isn’t much difference if he went to that kind of school. While thinking that Yuki is a strange guy, Shun asked, “Ah—Really..?”
Narration: “If I’m going to talk about getting close with the most important Saaya, actually there is none. Because Saaya is the type who is strong, and the type who’ll speak her mind, I also don’t have patience, so we usually quarrel because of our different opinions.” During a meeting, Shun told Saaya that what they did is enough since it is easy to understand. Saaya insisted that his work is crude and he should re-do it. Shaking-aghast-angry Shun mentally thought that Saaya is such an arrogant girl. Still he blushed a bit while looking at Saaya. Narration: “But, I’m hopelessly attracted to her, that I couldn't stop but look at her direction.. On the day before the Tanabata festival, because there is a lot of work to be done, I always stayed up late at the clubroom with Saaya. When we are about to go home and it is because of a small thing, I said--” Shun told Saaya that she is really not cute. Saaya answered back that she doesn’t need him to say that she is cute. Shun angrily replied back, “Luckily, I actually still like you very much!” Saaya suddenly blushed really red. Shun is a bit confused as Saaya turned away to look away from him. He thought, “What, this..cute reaction. I..couldn’t resist.” Shun turned her around to him and he kissed her. Then, Saaya pushed him away and told him to wait. “This cannot be, wait a moment. I’m sorry, let me..think about it.” Shun looked surprise and wondered, “Think? Think of what?” During the Tanabata festival, Shun finally learned from Kanata that Saaya and Yuki are going steady. Kanata asked if he didn’t know but then, it was only later on when Shun joined the club. “We heard that they are together since [elementary] grade 5. We heard it from the very start.” Shun protested that Yuki and those girls.. Kanata told him that Yuki said before that Saaya is his heart’s desire [honmei] so those other girls are probably only female friends. Shun looked tense upon hearing that. Later on, at the club, Shun verified it to Saaya and she admitted that it is true. Shun asked if they are going to break up. Saaya said that they won’t break up. “I and Yuki will always be together. That is what the two of us have decided earlier on.” Shun is shocked. Blushing a bit, Saaya says, “I like you, I want you. From the first time we met, I thought that way. But, for me, Yuki-kun is the most important, so I’m sorry..” After a pause, Shun said, “...there’s something that I don’t quite understand. Were you just two-timing?” After a pause, Saaya says, “You can consider it that way..” This made Shun angry. Saaya can only futilely call him as Shun quickly went out and slammed the door. Saaya looked flustered and depressed.
Narration: “I didn’t quit from the club because I’m a bit frustrated and the third year students have all retired from the club. If I quit, then the club will be very hard at work. Or, maybe part of the reason is I wanted to see what will happen to these strange lovers until the end. From then on, I and Saaya would talk to the bare minimum. But, I do not know why I couldn’t bring myself to hate Yuki. That character of his really does profit at someone else’ expense..[<- I think Shun meant even if he had a falling out with Saaya, they are still friends so it’s Yuki’s profit]..forget it, that guy also doesn’t know anything. I wanted to pour out my troubles with Narumi, but I received her ‘I found a boyfriend, so let’s not meet again’ break-up announcement on the email.” Looking at his cellphone, Shun gloomily thought, “I also lost my sex partner..*sigh*.” Narration: “On September, there is a new transfer student.” The girl introduced herself to class as Kaneshiro Chitose from Okinawa and she’ll be under their care. Sitting beside him, Chitose asked Shun if he knows which section Furuya Yukito is. Shun said that he is in section 5. He asked if she knew Yuki. Chitose happily smiled and said, yes, a bit. Shun looked at her and thought that he had a premonition that this will cause a disturbance. Narration: “At that time, even if I dreamed, I would never think of it that she will unexpectedly become my first girlfriend.” I really like how this is narrated and it can actually be a one-shot story. Well, that is Shun’s relationship with girls so far and I must say that it sucks. ^^; It is amazing that after all that, the poor boy doesn’t have a trauma regarding having a relationship with girls. Geez, he was harassed, used and toyed around with, by different girls in a span of like 3-4 years. Somehow, the latter two girls really made him lose his innocence. I’m actually surprised to learn that Shun has a sister, too. Since the three other characters had older siblings, does it mean that Saaya would have a brother, too? ^^; I have a feeling that since Shun told Narumi about Saaya, Narumi thought that she should get herself a boyfriend so that she would be the one who’ll dump Shun first. Of course, that will be her source of regret later on. Interestingly, it seems that Yuki is ‘forced’ to go to that school for Saaya because of their agreement. Hm..I still wonder if Yuki will quit flirting with other girls if he goes steady with Chitose. This chapter has made me understand Shun’s position that I don’t quite dislike him anymore. Actually, now, I feel sorry for him that I would want him to be with Chitose. ^^; That last part narration is really nice..hopefully, she’ll be his last girlfriend, too..that will be a good ending here. =P
Chapter 18: Chitose is surprised when Yuki asked her if he can also get the same gift that Shun got. Blushing Chitose didn’t reply. She looked away from him. To her surprise, Yuki hold her arms and gives her a kiss. Chitose’s legs weaken that she falls on the ground. Blushing really red, Chitose wonders what Yuki is doing and why. She tries to call him but Yuki holds her face. He apologizes that he couldn’t control himself. He kisses her again and again. Chitose thinks that she feels dizzy, she is losing her strength and this thing is obviously not allowed. After Yuki finally stops, he asks her if she is okay and if she can stand. He helps her up. He apologizes that her clothes got dirtied. After a pause, teary-eyed Chitose asks, “Why? You’re too cruel..you obviously..have Saaya. I, do not want to be your..two-timing partner..” Chitose turns around to leave. Yuki calls out to her to wait. He holds her arm and hugs her. He says, “..it isn’t, this isn’t two-timing. I like you. I did my best to not make myself to like you..but I couldn’t do it. Chitose, I like you..” This made Chitose blush. She asks, “Bu..but..[what about] Saaya..?” Chitose is puzzled when Yuki tells her that the feeling between them [him and Saaya] is no longer love. “But because we have decided to be always be together, so I already thought of suppressing these feelings for you..but it won’t do. I couldn’t do it, for me to look on helplessly as you are belong to Shun..belong to any other guy, I have become strange because of jealousy.” This made Chitose blush again. He breaks away then asks her, “Do you still like me?” Chitose exclaims out loud, “What?!” While holding Chitose’s shoulder, Yuki says, “A while ago, you told Shun..to once again wait some time for you, that means that you still like me, right?” Blushing Chitose is tense yet she didn’t answer. Yuki calls out her name. What he said made Chitose shout at him to please not ask her that question. “The situation now isn’t the same as before..right now, I know that Saaya is your girlfriend, and I’m also friends with Saaya. Besides, I also started going steady with Akaishi-kun. Regarding you, I have already decided to forget about you..”
Yuki puts his fingers/hand on her lips and says, “No, I won’t let you say those words. I will talk with Saaya and tell her properly of my true thoughts. I will also apologize to Shun and ask for his forgiveness. I will definitely get you back, wait for me.” Chitose looks at him with a dreamy look. At the living room, Tadashi is drinking tea while reading a book when he heard something ‘plop’ near the door. He goes out and calls out to Chitose if she’s home. He goes into shock to see blushing Chitose lying on the floor while hugging her bag. He asks what happened and if she is alright. Chitose says that her chest hurts. Her brother exclaims, “What?!” Chitose says that it is alright and it isn’t an ailment. “It only feels very painful..” Tadashi comments that it is that other kind of pain. He helps her sit up and says that if she wants to lie down, she should go lie in her bed since it is cold there. Chitose mutters, yes. He tells her to take her shoes off. Lying on her bed, Chitose thinks, “Yuki-kun has fallen in love with me. He told me that he likes me. It’s like a dream. *looks surprised with eyes open* But Saaya— would I be stealing Yuki-kun from Saaya’s side? *aghast* I cannot [do that]..ah but, Yuki-kun said that his and Saaya’s feelings [for each other] isn’t love.. *sweatdrop* ah, then what is it, they still decided to be always be together, right? Besides, there is still Akaishi-kun! What will he say? He even nicely assisted me in forgetting about Yuki-kun, *sad* for things to reach until now, it will really be a letdown for him.. [<- or she had much to apologize to Shun] *hopeful* but, he always really respected my feelings towards Yuki-kun, and perhaps, he would be happy for me! *gloomy* Or he would be really angry..I couldn’t predict..*troubled* I..what is the best thing to do? Think, think, should I say goodbye to Akaishi-kun? Or should I say that to Yuki-kun— I don’t know..!” Aghast Chitose’s brain is already in its limit that it has burned out. Then, the scene changed to Yuki talking with Saaya on the phone. Yuki apologizes to her. Saaya asks Yuki if he wants to betray Misaki again. Yuki says that he doesn’t like this but if he doesn’t do this, it will hurt Chitose. Saaya asks that isn’t it okay that he confessed to Chitose. “Why couldn’t you control yourself?” Yuki tells her, “I have no way of suppressing this feeling..weren’t it the same with you before..” Saaya shouts, “I’ve already given up on that. I have hurt the person I like and chose you and yet, now you are also like this [/in this situation], you’re too cunning! *teary eyed* I absolutely won’t, I won’t break up with you.”
Ugh, I have a brain ache just like Chitose. It turns out that Yuki knew that Saaya has fallen in love with someone before but it isn’t verified if he knew that it is Shun. I think he doesn’t else he ought to act a bit awkward with Shun. I’m not sure how Saaya decided to give up on Shun before but I presumed that she put importance to that thing with Misaki, and Yuki doesn’t have a direct involvement to her decision. Anyway, this part comes out to me like Saaya is ‘punishing’ Yuki with her bad decision to give up on Shun. If she’s unhappy, so will Yuki be. Ah..for the rest of their lives? ^^; From her reaction, I wonder if things would be better if Yuki did this earlier on. Is Saaya saying that after she was harshly rebuffed by Shun? It seems that she is thinking that if Yuki did go with Chitose, it doesn’t mean that she’ll be getting Shun. Is this why she is applying the ‘misery loves company’ mentality? Actually, if Yuki wants to break up, is there really anything Saaya to stop it? The most will be broken relationship and bad feelings..can Yuki willingly sacrifice that? Chitose seems to be a bit hesitant. This ‘not in love’ couple is really putting Chitose and Shun in a pinch. It is a natural reaction for Chitose to be so confused right now. She hasn’t gotten over Yuki and now he shows affection to her. There are indeed a lot of ‘complications’ with Yuki but whereas with Shun, there are almost none except the main problem of ‘she doesn’t really like him’. ^^; So, should she wait or should she move on? Well, Shun seems intent on moving on but then, I’m curious what his reaction would be if he knows this. Does he still have feelings for Saaya? I think he does. So, would he keep Chitose for himself or help Yuki in breaking up with Saaya so that he can finally be with Saaya? My impression if Yuki is a undecisive guy will depend on what he does next – do something or just ‘two-time’ Chitose or worse, make her wait for nothing. I cannot predict what these three characters are going to do since it can something different or ‘the usual’ but for Saaya, based on most dramas I have seen with this kind of situation, I think she will keep on clinging on to Yuki until something bad happens that she’ll finally let him go. ^^; Well, I’m hoping it isn’t so else that would be so cliche. Lastly, I’m somewhat curious as to what that childhood promise thing is about. Hopefully, it isn’t lame so that I can empathize as to why they especially Saaya is willing to sacrifice their happiness for it. Scans by草莓defer for iieye.

Reimei no Arcana -Dawn of the Arcana- [Chapter 19]
Friday, September 10, 2010
Leo asks permission from the village head to return and help out. The village head allows him to go. Just when Leo is about to run, Nakaba chases after him and says that she’s going to the village, too. Leo shouts for her to understand the situation for this is a battle. “Aren’t you a princess?!” Nakaba runs past him and shouts, “It’s because of that, I have more responsibility.” Leo tries to call her attention to stop but it is futile as Nakaba shouts for him to hurry. Leo tells her that if she encounters something, he won’t care about her nor will he save her. Nakaba is stopped by Emilia who runs toward her. Emilia wants to go with them but Nakaba orders her to stay in the camp together with Lito. Leaving Emilia behind, Nakaba and Leo run off. Leo leads Nakaba to a cave that has a tunnel that will lead into the village. Leo then holds up a part of the floor. As Nakaba climbs up, she asks if this is the village head’s house. Leo affirms that it is. Nakaba looks out the window to look for Caesar and the others. She is shock to see the village in ruins and some dead people around. Then, she witnesses a soldier slicing an Ajin. [Ugh..right through the face.] The sight of blood activates Nakaba’s Arcana of Time. She sees herself in the forest with Emilia calling out to her. Vision: Nakaba asks why Emilia is there. “It’s dangerous! Go back quickly!” Emilia exclaims that she doesn’t want to because she is worried about her brother. Then, Nakaba shouts, “Emilia, quickly escape!” A soldier then says, “Go die.” The sword is thrust forward. Then, Emilia is stabbed from the back. Someone shouts Emilia’s name. End vision. Leo then worriedly asks Nakaba if she is alright. Still recovering from the vision, Nakaba tells him that she is fine. She looks out the window again and sees Cain giving orders. Her Arcana activates again and she ‘sees’ Cain looking happy together with smiling Louise who is holding a black haired baby. When Nakaba snaps out of it, she sees Cain slashing an Ajin. Nakaba is shock to see that. She thinks that she has to stop him. She hurries down.
Cain orders his men not to let a single person alive. He is surprised when Nakaba calls out to him. Looking at the dead Ajin on the ground, Nakaba asks Cain what he is doing. “Why are you doing this..You said that you hated being differentiated by status, was that a lie?” Cain exclaims that it isn’t a lie. He claims that the Ajin-s attacked them first and since they have Caesar and the others as hostages so they can only attack back. Nakaba closes her eyes and thinks, “That is why I don’t want to see it.” [Note: (..) are thoughts] Looking angry, Nakaba tells Cain that he is lying. “You obviously, really detest Prince Caesar so much. (Prince Cain’s past-- If I didn’t see it, if I don’t know about it..I wouldn’t have doubted him,) *looking away* You planned on using this opportunity to kill Caesar, right?” Tense Cain denies it as he says that he doesn’t have a reason to hate Caesar. Nakaba continues to say, “You made us leave first, (wouldn’t have expose him nor hold him accountable, and also..) because you fear that we will become witnesses..testify that you accepted the Ajin-s request and wished to save Caesar..because Caesar is born..the queen’s position has been secretly demoted, right? Your mother..(..touch his past’s trauma).” Cain’s expression soured. He then starts laughing then rushes towards Nakaba with his sword. “That’s right, I..detest Caesar!” He swings his sword at Nakaba who manages to evade it with only some of her hair cut. Nakaba thinks, “As well as, the true nature of that twisted smile, coming into view.” Looking tense while smiling, Cain says that no wonder, [he is found out by] a red haired princess, [she] ought to know more or less this kind of hatred. “[She is] Not a princess who has been taken cared of cherishingly by the palace. I must become king, so that everyone around will know that I’m better than Caesar. Attaining everyone’s acknowledgement of my feats is a necessity. I will become king..for my mother..and also for myself..!” Nakaba looks tense as she holds her sword near her waist. Swinging his sword at Nakaba, Cain shouts, “Since you’re a hindrance..then I’ll just kill you!” Nakaba quickly takes out her sword to block Cain’s sword. To her surprise, her sword breaks. She realizes that he has an ore sword. Cain smiles and says, “Die.”
Nakaba closes her eyes. Just when Cain is about to slash Nakaba, Caesar appears and blocks Cain’s sword. Caesar says, “This is too much, brother..what are you trying to do to my wife?” Cain and Nakaba are surprised to see Caesar. The brothers break off [the clashing of swords] from each other. Cain mutters about the sword that Caesar has. Caesar says that he borrowed it from a soldier and apparently, it is very hard. Loki goes to Nakaba and asks if she is alright. Nakaba is relieved that he is okay. Gadei, together with Leo, arrives and shouts at Cain for doing what they please with their village. Somewhat smiling, Cain says that they just saved him from looking for them. Cain starts shouting for his men to surround everyone for those people have connived with the Ajin-s. “They are rebels who threaten my country’s security!” The soldiers surround them. Gadei calls Leo. Leo says, “..suddenly setting the village ablaze..but I will make you people regret that you set it on fire!” Suddenly, the fires on the village grew larger. Some of the soldiers were instantly set on fire. [Probably from standing to close to the burning houses] Those soldiers scream until they are burnt into a crisp. Caesar carries Nakaba and says that they should take advantage of it. “We’re going.” While carrying Nakaba, Caesar runs off. Cain can only shout for him to stop but a barrier of fire hinders him from chasing after them. In the forest at some clearing, Caesar puts Nakaba down. He asks her if she is alright. Nakaba calls out his name and to his surprise, she hugs him. Caesar blushes. A note says that even if they are in this situation, he is quite happy [<- about the hug]. Just when he holds her face [probably to kiss] and calls her name, someone else calls out to Nakaba. They look at the side and see that it is Emilia. Nakaba becomes tense upon seeing her.
Well, the vision will most certainly happen at that point and most probable in the next chapter. With that, I guess we will learn if Nakaba’s visions are definite and cannot be changed = destined. If it is so, Cain will have a happy ending..with Louise and ironically, a black-haired child. I guess Cain can be at ease if Caesar and Nakaba’s kid is a red-haired child. =P Ah..intrigues. Cain has finally quit on putting a farce and showed his true self. I guess ambition is obviously above empathy and understanding. I wonder what his mother would have said if she can see what her son had become. She obviously don’t care about hair color and status but because of her death and the things that Cain experienced, Cain has become obsessed with hair color in a way of proving himself worthy no matter what the cost is. Hm..it seems that Caesar is stealing the scene lately on saving Nakaba. ^^; Isn’t that Loki’s job? =P I’m starting to wonder if Emilia got stabbed because she protected someone. Since she can read hearts, surely, she ought to notice the murder intent of the soldier from behind. I don’t think that the soldier would target her since she isn’t that important or an Ajin. I wonder if the scenes of the vision are continuous because there might be a possibility that it wasn’t the soldier who stabbed her. From chapter 12, it seems that she saw the soldier but someone else stabbed her at the back. Could it be Cain? I’ll rule out an accidental stabbing by Caesar =P That is because I don’t think the author wants to really complicate things. I’m wondering where Belenus is. I’m expecting him to be at least be protected by Loki but it seems they have separated or something. It would be a bit problematic if he is captured by Cain. Scans by zhu520/fema in BW

Hadashi de Bara wo Fume [Chapter 38]
Thursday, September 9, 2010
At the hallway, Sumi asks what he wanted to talk about. Komai says, “Things have ended this way..*looks at Sumi* is totally because of you, Miss Sumi.” Sumi is aghast-shock by this. Komai continues to say, “Young master Nozomu still adores Miss Sumi, you should know about this, right? But you would still go alone to young master Nozomu’s other house, right?” Sumi remembers that she posed for Nozomu’s painting. Komai angrily asks, “Don’t you think that you lack the awareness of being young master’s wife?” After being surprised by that, Sumi protests that even if she is Soichiroh’s wife, it is just formality. Komai angrily looks at her and says, “It is because of your indecisiveness which caused this incident.” Later on, at Ashida residence, Sumi looks guilty as she looks at Soichiroh’s bandaged arm while he is undressing. Soichiroh tells her that what happened tonight is Nozomu’s fault. “He shouldn’t have announced his divorce in front of everyone.” Remembering Komai’s reprimanding words, Sumi keeps on apologizing. Soichiroh tells her that she’s annoying when he already said that it is enough. The next day, at the company, Sumi thinks that she couldn’t dare face her shogi members. She enters the room and greets out but to her surprise, there is only one person there. When she asks where the others are, the man stands up and tells her that today, everyone is busy with work and it seems that they cannot come. The man says that he actually have a [business] talk later on. Sumi says that then, the club meeting is suspended. The man apologizes again before leaving. Sumi heads out of the room. She is relieved that it is suspended but her avid fan calls out to her to apologize for being late since the meeting took so long. From Sumi’s reaction, Nozomu is the last person she wants to see right now. Sumi informs him that that because everyone is busy, the club meeting is.. Nozomu happily smiles and says that means, there’s only the two of them today. Sumi asks him how Miu is. Nozomu casually tells her that this morning, Miu has been admitted at a seaside sanatorium. Sumi looks a bit worried about that. He happily tells her that because Miu doesn’t mutually agree with the divorce, they would have to wait a bit of time. “But wait for me to become single again, and until that time, I’ll once again propose to you!”
Sumi is shock by this. She exclaims of the complications and that she and Soichiroh.. Nozomu tells her that she and Soichiroh are only formally married. This surprises Sumi that she looks sideways hoping that no one has overheard what Nozomu just said. Sumi then says, “..from the start, it was truly like that..but right now, I want to establish a deeper relationship with him..” Nozomu asks, “Miss Sumi, have you fall in love with Soichiroh?” Sumi looks troubled as she remembers Soichiroh telling her that he won’t love her. Nozomu is happy with her reaction until Sumi looks at him in the eye and says, “I want to love him, so, I cannot accept Nozomu-kun’s feelings!” She turns around to leave. Nozomu can only grip his fist. Later on, Natsuki enters the president’s office and asks if he [president] called for him. He is surprised to see that it is Nozomu who is sitting on the president’s seat. Just when Natsuki is asking what he is doing there, serious looking Nozomu just says, “Let’s make it apparent as to who is more suitable with this position.” That night, at the Ashida residence, Sumi looks at the dressing table’s mirror and remembers what Komai told her yesterday. Soichiroh calls her and asks if she isn’t going to sleep. She asks if he is going to sleep. He says yes because he is very tired today. Sumi offers to massage his shoulders but Soichiroh declines. He goes to bed. While lying next to him, Sumi tries to sleep but she remembers Nozomu’s confession before, Miu wanting her to disappear and Komai blaming her indecisiveness for what has happened. She wakes up and breaths hard from the ‘nightmare’. She looks at sleeping Soichiroh. She goes on top of him and kisses him on the lips. This surprises and wakes up Soichiroh. He pushes her up a bit and asks what it is. He is surprised to see blushing Sumi on top of him. Sumi pulls down her nightgown and says, “Please make me become yours.” Soichiroh mutters her name in surprise. Then, he pulls her down the bed and starts kissing her. Sumi mutters, “Even if you don’t love me, it also doesn’t matter..” Soichiroh kisses her more. Narration: “Please love me.”
Thank you, Komai..you just made our heroine proactive and finally turn down Nozomu. Hehe, because of his great contribution, Komai is the one on the cover =P I actually don’t blame her for all of this like Komai does. She does have a hand in it because she is indecisive. But then, is it really good to throw herself to a guy..well, her husband, even if he doesn’t love her? Well, she thinks he doesn’t love her and ya, he’s her husband. ^^; Oh well, I have to think of this at the context of the value of their era..else, why would Miu turn out like that. Poor girl..she has really snapped. Hopefully, it is curable. The best punishment for Nozomu would seem to be locking him up with her. =P I now wonder if a ‘jilted’ Nozomu is more dangerous than ‘being in love’ Nozomu. I think it is the latter. I guess he has finally put into action the plan of ‘company’-or-‘your wife’-blackmail-type of thing. I wonder if everyone is really indeed busy to attend the club or it is because it’s really awkward to be there with Sumi and/or Nozomu. What Nozomu did is such a scandal that it ought to keep their tongues wagging about it. Lastly, it seems that Nozomu is the type of person who’ll make others do the dirty work for him. He made his parents deal with the visitors and Miu, and it seems that Natsuki is just his pawn. It seems the guy is a natural villain ^^;; Scans by 黑主真绫 for BW. Teaser for the next chapter: Soichiroh seems to cut it off because of some reason – Sumi is not herself. Keiko and Natsuki meet but Keiko won’t let herself be wooed by Natsuki’s advances. Natsuki plans to execute some plan with Nozomu. Eisuke is in trouble and made Sumi sign as a guarantor, I think for the kids’ education. She is, most probably, tricked by her brother. At the company, Eisuke is finally caught. They found the letter wherein Sumi is the guarantor..probably for the missing money. Everyone is tense and Nozomu isn’t going to help Sumi out. Then, to save himself, Eisuke blurts out that he is Sumi’s brother. Uh-oh..

Bokutachi wa Shitte Shimatta [Chapter 41]
Thursday, September 9, 2010
Looking at Yukito, Kotori thinks that if she is quiet, she cannot keep still. Yukito tells her to close her eyes. Kotori did as ordered. He looks at her then away. He looks around her room then glances at Kotori. He thinks that he couldn’t keep still. “Even if her brother asked me to look after her..but always just staring at her isn’t good, right..” While keeping her eyes closed, Kotori asks him if she fell asleep, would he be going home. “I’m sorry, my brother gave you trouble..or rather, I ought to say that I’m giving you trouble..but, for you to look after me like this, I still feel very happy about it..that..might be a bit petty..I’m sorry..” She then feels Yukito’s hand on her head. He smiles and tells her that he did say that he’ll be by her side. Kotori closes her eyes and says that his hand is like the comfort of ice. That made Yukito blush. He then remembers his [visiting] gift for her. Holding a small bag, Yukito happily says that his brother said that if it’s gelatin, it is much easier to eat. “Do you want some? If you do not have appetite to eat now, then I’ll put it first in the refrigerator. Do want to see it first?” As he is showing it to her, Kotori mutters, “Yukito’s..is fine.” Yukito is puzzled. She repeats, “Yukito’s is fine.” Yukito blushes when Kotori takes his hand and says, “Yukito’s hand..so comfortable..” This made Yukito blush. He looks away and asks what she is saying about his [hand] is fine. “The things..this girl say..is very dangerous..I..I obviously restraining..or I should say have always been restaining..for you to say that, I..” Yukito is speechless gloomy when Kotori starts groaning. He then notices that Kotori has fallen asleep. He sighs then pats her head. This made Kotori mutter, ‘ya..’ Yukito blushes again then looks away before sighing. “This is more than reassuring..really..Why is it that [you’re] proactive at this time, it just makes me misunderstand..” Later on, Kotori looks unwell. Yukito checks her temperature and her fever is still very high. Looking at Kotori, he thinks that she had already perspired a lot and that will make her body cooler. He decides to find some towels to wipe her perspiration. He goes to the toilet and finds the towels in the cabinet above the sink. Just when he is about to go back, he hears a scratching sound. It is made by Kenken who is scratching on the window. Yukito looks back and wonders if he heard a sound or it is just his imagination. He goes back to Kotori’s room. Kenken continues to scratch by the window pane.
In Kotori’s room, Yukito gets Kotori to sit up as he tells her that he is going to wipe her perspiration so bear with it for a bit. Yukito then looks at sleeping Kotori’s bare shoulder. Yukito blushes and looks away. “Why would I suddenly think that she’s really sexy, that’s too weird, she’s sick, I didn’t see it, I didn’t see it, I didn’t see it. I shouldn’t let my imagination go wild, I..relax!” Kotori groans again. Tense Yukito thinks, “Don’t make that kind of sound--forget it, I should look away while wiping, do not look! Although right now, I’m just thinking how she ought to look..” [<- because he’s not looking] While Yukito is wiping her while looking away, Kotori wakes up. Yukito apologizes and asks if he woke her up. Kotori holds his collar and mutters, “Ken..Ken..ken? You..came to accompany me..” Yukito looks surprised- [Eh look]. Yukito thinks, “Ken..Kenken? That Kenken..it seems that I heard it before on the phone, that wild childhood friend..could it be..he would open the window at the opposite room, then would go in through the window?” Imagination: Kotori reprimands naked human Kenken to wear some clothes. “Is it like that? Is it that kind of childhood friend..? She would even unexpectedly mistaken me with that guy..darn..how could she mistook me. This is bad..I’m feeling depressed.” Kotori starts groaning again. Yukito goes to her to wipe her perspiration. He thinks that his brother knew that if someone isn’t feeling well, he ought to give an easy to swallow gelatin as a gift. “Even if I’m not that clever who thinks meticulously like him..but yesterday..you said you like me, so I should have self-confidence, right? ..I, because of this little thing, would become depressed, although it’s very embarrassing--but, even if that is so, I..” Yukito grips his fist. His thoughts are interrupted when Kotori calls out to him. He asks her, what it is and how she is feeling. Kotori says that she feels a little better. Yukito asks her if she wants him to fix her some food. “Is there anything that you would want to eat..” Kotori seems to be thinking.
To Yukito’s surprise, Kotori says that she ought to feed Kenken. “Yukito..sorry, but can you help prepare his food for me..?” Yukito still looks shock as he thinks, “Fo..food? Is it already a relationship wherein she’ll make food for him..!” Kotori continues to tell him, “It should be prepared at the first floor’s kitchen..you’ll know when you see it..Kenken’s name is written on top..you only have to bring it to the yard and he’ll come eat it..Yukito?” Putting on a smile, Yukito says, “Ah..yes..I understand, there’s no need for you to worry.” Gloomy Yukito stands outside the door. He thinks, “Prepared, and also name written, up to what degree are those two intimate with each other?! *flustered* Darn..unexpectedly calling Kenken. Isn’t that like a dog’s name. Even if it’s like this, I would properly verify as to what kind of person that guy is! Properly verify..!” In the kitchen, he sees a bag of dog food on the counter. Beside it is a dog dish with the name Kenken. Yukito stares at it. He holds the two items. He looks at the bag of dog food then at the dog dish. Silence. “Then..that..Kenken..is actually a dog! *vein pop*” =P In bed, Kotori mutters Kenken’s name. Yukito comes in holding the dog dish with some food in it. Yukito says, “Kotori, are you awake? The dog isn’t in the ya..rd..” He then sees Kenken sitting beside Kotori on the bed. “Ah..you..were did you..how did you get in here? Why are you in the room..” Kenken slightly smiles at him. A bit puzzled, Yukito thinks, “Eh..did it just smile? Hey..aren’t you staying too close? Get away a bit from Kotori.” Kenken smiles bigger. Yukito becomes gloomy. Putting the dish on the floor, Yukito says, “Look, food, come here and eat.” Yukito thinks that if he left it there, Kenken would get away from Kotori. Yukito slightly blushes as he thinks that he would unexpectedly compete with a dog. He is surprised when Kenken suddenly stands up. He then freaks out when Kenken with fangs and claws out, jumps towards Yukito. [Lol, too bad the author didn’t show us Yukito’s expression.]
Later on, Kotori wakes up from her sleep. She notices Yukito sleeping while sitting on the floor..with arms crossed. She is speechless to see Yukito sitting near yet far from Kenken. Kotori crawls to Yukito and mutters that he really did accompany her all throughout. Kenken just sits beside the bed. Still looking at Yukito, Kotori muses that he is smiling. Then, Yukito talks in his sleep. “Ah..Ken..Ken..don’t look down on me..Kotori..cooling sheet..” Kotori smiles then kisses Yukito on the cheek while saying, “I really like you..” Narration: “I, because..of this small thing, would become depressed, although it’s embarrassing, but, even if that is so, I still really like you.” Hehe, that is so sweet ^^ Silly lovers are really fun to read. I really love how the author used Kenken as a rival. I actually expected to read that kind of scene in Koibana! rather than in this series ^^; I wonder if that is the ‘last payback’ the author planned for Yukito regarding how he treated Kotori before – he was made to restrain himself and jealous over + attacked by a dog. =P Scans by zhu520/fema in BW.

Back at the mansion, of course, daddy is furious. He shouts at Eros that he already mentioned that guy is important. He is surprised when Eros bluntly asks him if that is how he treated Angus – took him away at age 12 for him to start this kind of life. His father asks if he has a problem with that. Eros says he understands why he doesn’t have feelings for him [Eros] but since he decided that Angus is his child, he [Eros] thought that he [father] would at least show Angus’ some fatherly love because Angus is his chosen one. Eros says that he realized that he was wrong and how could a parent send his minor son to a complex society just to be a tool. He asks what kind of heart his father has to do such a thing. His father tells him not to talk about him as if he is some devil for he has already given Angus the lifestyle of a prince. He claims that in that society, Angus is like fish in the water and he enjoyed all of it. That irks Eros that he starts shouting that is because Angus at a young age, naively, believed that everyone loves him. Angus was used and toyed around that his world collapsed and he would want to escape from everything. Eros starts to cry as he says that while blood flows from that wound, Angus must be thinking that he isn’t good enough that he cannot attain his [father] love. Angus hated him for breaking up their family but in his life after that, Angus only has him yet he destroyed Angus. His father asks if Angus himself said that. Calling it foolish, his father states why would one chase after ‘sincere/true heart’, that useless thing. In this world, the most reliable friends are only power and money. He wants Angus to be grateful that he was the one chosen between the two brothers. He doesn’t understand why Angus doesn’t cherish all that he is doing when later on, it will all belong to Angus. As tears flow from his eyes, Eros says that in the end, he [father] is a cold hearted animal and he [Eros] unexpectedly had a string of hope for him. Their father just has to rub it in by saying that they are like their mother who is very beautiful yet so weak. She always make unreasonable requests like before dying, she would still pray to God that he turn back and tell her that he loves her. “It’s really so foolish..” This made Eros grab his father and says that one day, he’ll pay the price for his cruelty.
And finally, Deveraux looks at Lele’s photos then asks for how long has she been staying there. Lele says for a month. He asks her what she has been doing all that time. Lele just says about going to some cosmetic classes as arranged by her manager while waiting for him to return from work. Deveraux starts shouting that manager is a fool for he is training a queen who walk the runaway so why is that manager making her do make-up. He tells Lele to give her a sample of her runway walk. Since it is too sudden, Lele is too nervous that she walks quite stiffly. To her surprise, Deveraux likes her walk. His season collection will be shown off next month and Lele is to come to work place tomorrow when they will choose the best models through an audition. Lele asks if she really can. He asks if she doubts him [/his eye to see a good model when he sees one]. He tells her to prepare and show her best for tomorrow. That night, Lele goes to the roof and starts practicing her walk just like how she did before..just like her mother. Next chapter will be on Oct. 5th. So much for the urgency..but I guess this is okay in a way since it can help Lele concentrate on her career rather than endlessly worried about Eros and helpless to do anything about it. At least, Lele’s career is moving again whereas Eros, well, it seems like he will be ‘stagnant’ for the meantime. I think Mode wouldn’t have been that detestable if she just kept Angus for herself and not lend him around. That way, it would be more like she actually loved him rather than just using him. Unfortunately for him, his father also does the same thing to him. Strangely enough, this chapter lessened my hate for their father but make me pity him. I have a feeling that their father probably had some sort of past like Angus that he is incapable of love or rather, he thinks that it is useless especially if he can get what he wants with money and power. His idea of what a person really needs is also twisted for he assumes that Angus should be happy with all the material wealth and prestige even if in exchange, one loses one’s morality. Surely, something made him become cold-hearted like that. Was his upbringing like how he dealt with Angus, too? It seems that he doesn’t think it’s wrong. So, it makes one wonder what does the twins’ mother saw in him? I get the impression that she is some naive woman who believed that she can change him after they married. Or perhaps, there is something about him before but in the end, he changed or showed his true colors. Contrary to what their father thinks, I don’t think Eros is weak. Actually, Eros is quite similar with him but Eros didn’t lose himself or turn for the worst because Eros has Taylor. In the end, I think their father is a tragic character who is totally oblivious to the temporary things he has been exchanging for and taking for granted what are important.
