About this blog:
I usually write about the manga that I'm currently reading. At times, I write about the anime I watched. Since it is hard to share and talk my thoughts about a certain manga series when people don't know about it, I tend to summarize them from Chinese scanlations so beware, this blog is filled with spoilers and they are not 100% perfect. I'm partly doing this to improve my Chinese. ^^ Feel free to point out my mistakes. ^^ Occasionally, I would blog about myself and other misc. things.

Since some people are asking about some series, I might as well tell you guys, what my tentative schedule is. For this week, I hope to finish Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun 30-32. Then, next week, it will be Mei-chan no Shitsuji 112-115 and Ookami-heika no Hanayome 26-27. After that, it will be Barajou no Kiss 39 and Bokutachi wa Shitte Shimatta 54. Of course, the ‘popular series’ like The One, Stardust Wink, etc, will take priority if they happen to come out while I’m doing those other series.

Carrying a small potted tree, Haru tells them that it seems that they are having fun. Shizuku immediately blushes and calls out his name. Holding a bento box and wondering what’s up with that tree, Asako tells Haru that Shizuku made a lot of food for Takaya who is going on an excursion today so would he like to join them. Haru says that he’ll help himself then. He tells them that he had an amazing experience and now, he knows how to read the mood. It happened during mathematics class.. Flashback: Haru was punished so he is standing at the corridor, in front of the classroom along with Shitayanagi and a couple of other guys who were punished for other reasons. Shitayanagi is yawning while the other two guys are scared of Haru. It is the first time for Haru to experience being punished like this so he cannot help but be excited over it. Haru started to ask Shitayanagi about the George and Mike joke which he doesn’t understand. Shitayanagi also doesn’t quite understand the joke. Blurb: “Baseball members from right to left are Shitayanagi-kun, Terashima-kun and Sako-kun.” Then, the three freaked out upon seeing the supervisor who asked what the four of them are doing there. Haru calmly said that it is because he brought a chicken in the classroom. Shitayanagi nervously said that he slept in class. Haru is a bit puzzled over the tense nervous mood of the others. Terashima muttered that this is really bad and he[/they] will absolutely going to be killed. [<- figuratively speaking; I think by his parents] Puzzled Haru asked him if he wants him to help in doing that guy in. =P End flashback. While eating an onigiri, Haru says that this mood is the totally the same when he enters the classroom in the morning. He tells them that he plans to put some ornamental plant in the classroom in order to create a healing mood. Asako tells him that on contrary, it would make people afraid. Shizuku wonders if that is called reading the mood. While licking his finger from some rice grains, Haru hears the school bell. He stands up and says that he is going to see Oga-sensei. “The me who is 17 years old is hugely not the same as before. Thanks for the food.” Asako asks if Oga is the geography teacher. Haru tells her that he is a beautification member and Oga had asked him to beautify the geography prep room. Shizuku tells him that isn’t the job of the beautification member. Remembering Haru kissing her and telling her that he’ll do his best, Shizuku thinks that starting from that day, it felt that something has changed, and not only that.. Still eating, Shizuku says, “Gambatte, Haru.” Haru looks at her then rubs her cheek to clean off the food stain. He smiles and says, “I’m going.” Looking at him in surprise, Shizuku thinks that it appears that this change isn’t only one sided. Asako is surprised as she looks at blushing really red Shizuku. When Shizuku looks at her, blushing Asako looks away. Shizuku then wonders out loud, “17?”
In section 2-A, Haru sits down with his tree beside him. While his classmates look uneasy, Haru thinks, “It seems that fundamentally this isn’t a mood that can be changed with green color. *irritated* Darn it, why is it like this whenever I come in [the classroom] *glare* What did I ever do to you people?” One of his nervous classmates wonders what’s up with that tree. Chizuru takes up the tree and asks Haru if she can take the tree away because during class, the students behind him cannot see in front. “This is scaring everyone.” Haru says, “Scared? Over a tree? So fundamentally, these guys are weaklings.” <- Haru in rebellious stage. Chizuru tells him that aside from the tree, he has been going in and out the classroom through the window like some breeding swallow nestling. “Everyone felt afraid because they don’t understand what you are doing.” Haru tells her that it would be good if they told him earlier about it. Sweatdropping, Chizuru tells him that isn’t the point. She wonders if no one told him about it all throughout his first year. Note -> Asako and Shizuku are into individualism while Sasayan believes in liberalism. Everyone mentally apologizes to the class president [Chizuru] for always troubling her with this. While thinking that Haru has made the classroom into some strange animal world, Chizuru orders Haru to first bring that tree out. Haru obediently follows her. Blurb: “The things that Haru are taking care of in school: killifish [/silver sides], tortoise, swallow (unsuccessful attempt), and shallots.” Looking at the tree, Haru thinks, “It seems that there is a difference between me and the classmates around me. Things won’t go smoothly. Speaking of that, Micchan had also always told me that, ‘The things that you do are very hard to understand’. *sighs* Ah, forget it. *stands up and pulls up his hair* Just do the next step. *blushes upon remembering Shizuku’s ‘Gambette, Haru’* Lately, when I see Shizuku, I abnormally want to touch her. *feeds the fish* ..at that time, I fundamentally wanted to stroke her hair but I still haven’t done it. Why is that.” Chizuru looks at the door and smiles. She calls out to Haru and says that he has a visitor. Standing at the door, Shizuku calls out to Haru to come for a while. She notices smiling Chizuru waving at her. Going to Shizuku, Haru says that she is quite gutsy to come to some unknown classroom openly. “Good job.” Shizuku asks what about it. “By the way, Haru, on the way home today, do you have any plans?” Blurb: “What they do at the start of the school year: (1)Shizuku..answering [school] questions.” Outside the busy street, Haru is waiting at a corner of a building. He felt quite strange to be standing outside of the school waiting, while still wearing his school uniform. When some girls start to find him attractive, Haru angrily glares at them that scare off the girls. Haru wonders what’s up with those strange girls looking at him. Blurb: “(2) Haru..arm wrestling with Micchan to determine who is the winner.” Shizuku arrives and calls out to Haru. She apologizes for making him wait long. Haru smiles at her and says that she is late. He asks aren’t Asako and Sasayan coming along with them. Shizuku says that Sasayan has club activities so she didn’t invite him. As for Asako..
Flashback: Crying Asako bent down and exclaimed for Shizuku not to care about her and just go. Carrying a small cake box, Shizuku asked what’s with her. Asako said that Shizuku alone can go and give Haru a pleasant surprise. Shizuku asked why she is crying. Asako said that actually, she really wanted to go. Shizuku replied that she should go with them then. End flashback. Blurb: “(3)Natsume..Facebook•Twitter•and Blog.” Tensely, Shizuku shouts that there is something wrong with Asako’s head. Haru laughs and asks if Asako needs to take extra classes, and that is inevitable. Aghast Shizuku mentally apologizes to Asako for she fundamentally wanted to lie about it but it seems, she ended up saying the truth. “..Geez.. it doesn’t matter but then, why doesn’t she want to come? It is fundamentally impossible to do a pleasant surprise all by myself.” Haru asks her why she specially wants to meet with him outside of school. Shizuku asks him when his birthday is. Haru says that it is on April 2nd. Shizuku mutters that it was during spring break, no wonder his name is ‘Haru’ [/Spring in Japanese]. Thinking that she’ll do it in a normal way, Shizuku holds up a dessert box, and tells Haru, “Happy birthday. I bought birthday cake. Let’s eat it together.” Haru looks surprised. At a coffee shop, Shizuku’s father is sweatdropping when Shizuku and Haru arrive. Shizuku mentions about putting the cake there for a while and now, she doesn’t have money after buying cake and a gift. Haru congratulates Shizuku’s father for getting a job. While peeling a potato, Shizuku’s father wonders if it is okay for them to celebrate in front of him, the father. Shizuku tells Haru to sit anywhere he likes. Thinking of the gift, Haru quietly sits down. Shizuku asks her father what he is doing. He tells her that he is making curry. He asks them what they want to eat for in those days, he used to work at a restaurant. He apologizes that since they had just arrived but can he ask them to buy one ingredient for him. Shizuku asks what it is. He tells them, ‘Curry-chan.’ The two are surprised. While walking out to buy, Shizuku apologizes to Haru for her father is the type who’ll go do whatever he thinks of doing, and she thinks that he just wants to eat curry. Haru says that he doesn’t mind it. Shizuku looks at him and asks isn’t he happy. Haru asks, huh. Shizuku says that it seems that he isn’t that happy about his birthday. Haru apologizes for that and says that he only celebrates it at home and he isn’t sure if it is considered happy for him. Shizuku wonders if she should have done it according to what Asako suggested about the surprise celebration but then, she doesn’t have a cartoon[/mascot] costume. Haru admits that he was surprised by this, that until now, he still hasn’t calmed down yet. Shizuku says is that so, and it seems that he said before that his family are the type who doesn’t quite, celebrate birthdays and his family is really complicated. Scratching his head, Haru says that it is an ordinary one but for him, birthdays just have some unpleasant memory. Shizuku says is that so.
She asks him how he celebrated his birthday. Haru says that he ate ramen together with Micchan, and last year, it is roast beef. Haru thinks that if he doesn’t act happy, this will trouble Shizuku. Shizuku says, “That’s strange. *smiles at him* During my birthday, you were obviously very happy.” Haru looks surprised then smiles. “That is because-- Because it is someone else [‘s birthday]. *Shizuku surprised* Because it is you, Shizuku, so I want to greet [/congratulate] you.” Shizuku blushes. Soon, they go in a grocery store to buy a box of curry. Haru shows her a box from the shelf but Shizuku wants to buy the discounted ones. Shizuku freaks out when Haru tries to juggle a tray of eggs. She pulls him away from the liquor section. Then, Haru helps her carry the things that she bought. While walking back, Shizuku tells Haru that when they celebrate birthdays in her house, they will eat the family’s favorite food. “Mama likes squid. Takaya likes chicken burger and grilled cheese dish [/vegetables] and Papa likes food infused with alcohol.” Haru says that her family is really nice. Shizuku says yes, and her family is very important to her. While thinking, ‘I know’, Haru asks what Shizuku likes to eat. Shizuku says none since there is nothing, that she specially likes to eat. “My dream is to properly study, become an adult quickly, and to earn money.” Haru thinks, “I know, for that dream, you are striving hard and that is the figure of you that I’ve always paid attention to. Ah ah..is that it. Because of this, I felt empty. Whether it is an important thing, or even precious thing, for me, it is nothing. Is it because of this that I don’t have anything at all so I’m empty and just look perfectly straight forward towards her figure which is so dazzling that I can’t open my eyes. *sadly looks down*” He is surprised when Shizuku asked him if he had ever felt [/thought] of other people’s existence. “During my birthday, you have told me stuff and made me call up my mother. You always stayed at my side. Even if it is something not really worth mentioning, but that is something I’ve always wasn’t able to do. If it is only me, it would definitely have been impossible to do. *looks at surprised Haru* So, I also want to congratulate you. *smiles* Happy birthday, Haru.” Tense Haru blushes then he covers his face with his hand. He mutters, “..don’t be like that.. (just now, I was only thinking of myself)” Shizuku looks surprises and holds up her hand to him, “Haru..?” After calming himself a bit, Haru smiles and says, “Thank you.” Shizuku smiles over this and says that it is good that she had finished reading the reference book so she had time [for him]. Haru’s smile freezes as he looks at Shizuku. Later on, at the restaurant, curry and birthday cake is served. Holding up a reference book, Haru angrily asks what’s with this gift, for shouldn’t she be giving something that the other party likes, but this is something that she wants for herself. Shizuku tells him that if it is convenient for him, lent it to her. Haru says, “See?”
Irritated Shizuku tells him that she already celebrated for him, and gave him a birthday cake and a gift so what is he unsatisfied about. She accuses him of being like this that is why people are saying that he is quite stubborn[/headstrong]. Haru says that is something that he should be calling her for she is only thinking of herself. “You are unconcerned about others and don’t have any emotional appeal [/interest towards others].” Shizuku says that it is inevitable to be concerned for oneself for if she wasn’t concerned about herself, who would. Then, the two keep on accusing each other of being stubborn. While drying the plate with a cloth, Shizuku’s father wonders what happened to the two while buying something. Takaya looks at the two. Blurb: “(4)Takaya..postcard handicraftsman.” The father asks Takaya if he had fun in his excursion. Takaya says yes, it is quite fun and the bus tour guide lady is very beautiful. While eating Takaya continues to watch the two arguing. Shizuku exclaims that she had enough, just give the reference book to her if he isn’t satisfied with it. Haru complains over her wanting to take back something that she has already given to him. “It’s my birthday gift!” Shizuku and Haru shout back and forth, ‘Give’, ‘Won’t want to’, ‘Give it to me’, ‘I won’t’, ‘That is something I obviously wanted’, ‘I don’t give it back’. Takaya thinks that it is mutual for those two. At school, Haru is carrying a fat cat. Shitayanagi, with his friends, laughs and says that it is a cat today. Haru says no, it is lost in Oga’s place so the teacher asked him to bring it out. Blurb: “(5)Shitayanagi-kun..strange home renovation.” While Haru is passing by the corridor, everyone is thinking that Haru is carrying a cat, except for a girl with earphones, listening to music. While walking, Haru thinks, “One year ago, the whole school felt like an object of terror for me. That kind of feeling is like I am going to be overtaken [rushed out] by a group of monsters. Even if right now, this and that, one person[/I] hasn’t changed much. Switching classes is really such a dreadful procedure. *glares at a guy* What are you looking at? *calms down* Even if it is like this, inconceivably, I don’t feel lonely. *goes to the roof to see sleeping Shizuku* Shizuku can really sleep. After eating lunch, she rests before going to the library to study. *looks at sleeping Shizuku* So-called living alone and loneliness seems to be not the same. It is totally not the same. Because at my side, there is always someone who is frequenting thinking [concerned] over me. *lightly flipping up and down the tip of Shizuku’s hair* Every time, I understand the meaning of this sentence, ‘You’ll hear the sound of the world changing’. If that is so, I can definitely change my own world. *smiles and sleeps beside Shizuku* Become strong. I want to become strong like her.” Blurb: “Even if rubbing shoulders, they mutually think of each other. The day when they are in mutual agreement isn’t far off--?! Aware of one’s problem, Haru has become mature. Look forward to the next chapter.”
I really like this chapter because Shizuku has somewhat unwittingly break of the Haru’s curse of hating his own birthday. It is indeed the first step and he now is more conscious of wanting to improve himself. It is really amusing that Shizuku uses him as her inspiration to become stronger and it is the same with him. The idea of mutually inspiring each other to become a strong and better person is really nice..aside from the usual, liking each other. Haru really have a problem understanding abstract things but if it is concrete like math, he can understand that. I can understand why Shizuku and Yamaken are irritated at him over this. They are having a hard time solving a trigonometry problem and yet, he can easily understand it, but he has a hard time understanding jokes. =P I still think that Micchan is a better ‘brother/guardian’ type for Haru than Yuuzan. From what he said about not wanting Haru to change and presumed difficulties over it, along with the stuff he said before, I think Yuuzan is jealous of Haru. If Haru did change to become better, he would really be a threat. I think Yuuzan is already used to the idea of being the center of attraction of the family. Maybe that is why he carelessly said that to Haru, about wishing he didn’t exist. Anyway, it seems that Micchan owes Yuuzan a huge amount of money. ^^; It might be hard for him now but I think Micchan won’t have money problems later on because Haru will help him. Asako is really such an ideal friend. She really wants to be with them but she gives it up so that the two can be together. Speaking of friend, it seems that Chizuru is better off as a friend to Haru..or more like a ‘mother’ who would tell him what he should do or not do..and patiently explain things to him. The touching scenes here are nice. Obviously, like Haru, Shizuku has problems with human interaction since she also bought a birthday gift for Haru which she actually wanted. That is what Haru almost did if it weren’t for Chizuru. Actually, given Haru’s genius, the last thing he needs is a reference book. =P Lastly, I think when Takaya grows up, he will become a playboy. ^^; Scans by 離境漢化組

While they are traveling, Loki says that he is a bit bothered about something. “Why would such a powerful [snake] Ajin would always obey whatever the royalty says..” Nakaba says that is true. She wonders out loud that maybe they are in control of some kind of weakness of the Ajin or there is an agreement of some reward. Loki looks very thoughtful and serious about this. By night, they have arrived at the royal capital. Nakaba is shock for the city has been under attack by the thieves. There are snakes all over the place with dead people. While Loki stands by her, Nakaba is in disbelief that the thieves had already invaded the royal city but then, shouldn’t they be on their guard against this. Then, they hear a scream. They go to where some people are gathered around. There, they see the Snake Ajin and gang holding Azhar and Ahkil hostage. Nakaba tries to rush to them but Loki stops her. Then, Loki jumps up and faces the thieves. After Loki lands in front of them on his knees, Snake Ajin smiles and says, “It’s you. *Loki shudder but still sternly glares back* Hihi.. Too bad, I don’t have time to play with you.” At a roof of a building far behind, Baatar asks for his crossbow from a servant. While taking aim, Baatar comments that this is really a small game. Loki is shock when the Snake Ajin was suddenly hit by an arrow. The Snake Ajin looks surprised then smiles before falling down. The people turn around and wonder out loud, as to who got rid of that thief. Smiling Baatar stands up the building. Blurb: “Ought to be accomplice, then why would Prince Baatar!? Next, on the verge of exposing the royalty’s secret!!”
I was surprised by that because I almost thought that Baatar is going to kill his brother. Instead, it was the Snake Ajin. Maybe because they are still brothers, and by doing this, he can make his two ‘rebel’ brothers to owe him big time. In front of the common people, he is a hero and deemed rightful heir to the throne since he got rid of those thieves. Also, killing the Snake Ajin is beneficial to keep the secret about their conspiracy and the fact that he is really the one pulling the ropes of the thieves. Nakaba is a weak witness to protest or tell the truth especially since she is keeping her Arcana a secret. It does seem that Loki is starting to take steps to part from Nakaba. I guess there is no use pretending that it is like before and it will just be very awkward between them. I do wonder what Loki is thinking over the possible reason why the Snake Ajin is helping Baatar. I wonder if the Snake Ajin is really dead because if not, this could be a good opportunity for Loki to get this person as his ally for the cause of the Ajin-s, especially with this betrayal. If she is dead, maybe Loki can recruit her comrades instead. Also, I wonder if Azhar and Ahkil are really helpless like this especially since Nakaba had already warned them. Based on the blurb, it is possible that maybe they could have also made a deal with the Snake Ajin to expose the secret of Baatar’s plan. If they were easily captured like this with no plan at all, I guess, in the long run, Azhar and Ahkil cannot take the throne because Baatar will always be there to cause trouble. For them to rule the kingdom, they should be cleverer than the enemy. They cannot always depend on Nakaba’s Arcana. As for Caesar, I guess he asks Belenus’ opinion to confirm what he plans to do. I hope that the next time they meet, they won’t be at the opposite side of a war or something. It also depends on up to what extent Caesar would want to become king since it might involved getting married to Louise. With all the manipulations and everything that is waiting for him, Belenus and Emilia are of great help to him. Scans by Rei's工作室.

Outside of school, Yuuga gets a message from Towako telling him that she will be buying something with Himeno so he should go home first. Yuuga asks what is with that when he wanted to apologize to her. Then, smiling Rina appears and asks him if he is going home. In an empty classroom, Towako asks Himeno about the reason why those two broke up. Himeno teases her that didn’t she told him before that she will wait for Yuuga to tell her. Towako protests that it seems Yuuga is always concerned about Rina and if there is some sort of misunderstanding, she would want the two of them to settle it out. To her surprise, Himeno tells her that it is because of him. He explains that Yuuga starts to become really bothered that the person he likes is Rina and it seems that Yuuga said some cruel things to Rina. “But, I won’t be a bit happy about that. If the other party is Yuuga, I can accept it.. But, if he hurts Rina again this time, I absolutely won’t forgive him!” Towako realizes that Himeno still likes Rina. Looking determined, Towako says, “Himeno-kun, Rina-chan still doesn’t know that the reason for the break up is you, right? *Himeno says yes.* Then, tell everything, all of it to Rina-chan! *holds his hands; Himeno tries to protest* Rina-chan always thought that it is because of some problem with her that is why she was dumped, and Yuuga is always feeling guilty about it. The one who can save those two is only you, Himeno-kun!” Himeno’s eyes sparkle for the only one who can save them is him. Blushing Himeno says, “..ah, but.. but that means, I would have to confess to Rina, right? *runs away* Ah! Let me think about it--!!” Towako sweatdrops over how fast Himeno ran away. Towako wonders what now, what can she do for Yuuga and Rina, because if she can’t resolve that misunderstanding.. She thinks that she can tell Rina about it but it would seem wrong if she say it first than Himeno. To Towako’s surprise, sparkling Ritsuki appears and says that it seems that she has some trouble, so does she want him to help her. Quickly moving away from him, Towako exclaims that she doesn’t need his help. Ritsuki asks is that so, for that girl [Rina] is going to come and become an obstruction. Towako is surprised. She exclaims what he meant by that, and could it be that he and Kyousuke are behind this. Towako shouts what are they up to this time around, and are they using Rina. Ritsuki asks if she wants to know. Towako thinks that there must be some plot, and if it is true, Yuuga is in danger right now. Towako tries to go out of the room but Ritsuki stops her from getting out by holding the door. He asks her, “You want to save that guy, right? Then.. don’t run away from my side!!” Towako looks flustered by this.
Rina says, “Hey, about that, Yuuga-kun. That ‘Ugly Duckling’, which is fundamentally, a very beautiful swan story. What does it think knowing that it is truly a swan? It isn’t its fault that it is a bit ugly, and everyone bullied it. But, after becoming beautiful, everyone would praise it. Isn’t it quite unfair? Based on that, am I the only one who thought that way?” In a clinic, Yuuga is strapped down on the bed. Yuuga angrily asks what’s the meaning of this, and what is Rina doing. Standing with the plastic surgeon, Rina giggles and says, “Do not be nervous ♡ I’m just going to make you experience the feeling of an ugly duckling ♡” This shocks Yuuga. Meanwhile, Towako is tense over what Ritsuki is thinking for him to say that she is not to run away from him. Then, Ritsuki angrily pinches Towako’s face and says that it is because of this that is why he is angry, she always looked very afraid whenever she sees him. Towako protests that it is because he had imprisoned her. Ritsuki exclaims for her not to mention that for it is already in the past. Towako sweatdrops and says, what.. Ritsuki says that didn’t he already apologize for it. Towako doesn’t look quite convinced. Ritsuki says that with that kind of attitude, she didn’t even think about his feelings [for her]. Towako is surprised when Ritsuki looks flustered. She wonders what’s with that reaction, as if she is the one who’s at fault. She says, “Compare to that, you should first tell me what Rina-chan is up to!” Flustered Ritsuki angrily exclaims, “Compared to that?!” Ritsuki pouts over it and says, “Okay, let’s touch a bit, if you don’t hate it, then I will tell you what that girl is thinking!” Towako protests that this, and that are two different things. Pouting, Ritsuki says that if she doesn’t want to, he won’t let her leave this place. Wondering what’s up with this person, Towako comments that he is like a small child. Holding up her pointing finger to him, Towako says that she would only let him touch her finger. Ritsuki asks finger? Wondering if Ritsuki is angry, Towako says yes. Doggie Ritsuki says, “What, are you treating me for a fool? How can that be okay. I’m not one bit happy. *wagging tail* not one bit.”
Starting to withdraw her finger, Towako says okay. Ritsuki quickly grabs her finger, and then holds her hand. Towako remembers his love confession. Towako looks flustered and sad. She takes off her other fingers and just let him hold a finger. She says, “..Ritsuki. I cannot answer your feelings..I’m sorry. Let me go to Yuuga’s side.” Ritsuki looks sad as Towako takes her finger from him. She apologizes and starts to go out of the room. Looking away, Ritsuki tells her that girl has come to see Yuuga today. Towako turns to him and asks why Rina would go see Yuuga. Still looking away, Ritsuki says that he isn’t really sure but it seems she had kidnapped Yuuga. Towako tells him that he should have said so early on..but she stops midway for Ritsuki is telling her even if he is an ‘enemy’. Towako thanks him. Ritsuki says that she is very troublesome, and if she doesn’t hurry, Yuuga’s face will change. Towako thinks of sparkling Yuuga’s face and wonders what Ritsuki meant. She runs off, leaving dejected Ritsuki behind. At the doctor’s clinic, Yuuga is holding a mirror to his face and exclaims what the heck this is. “Who is this!? Is it me!? Is it really me!? *aghast* What trick did you put in the mirror!?” Rina asks what it felt for him, who is always the swan to suddenly become the ugly duckling. Yuuga asks her what she did this. Rina says that it is revenge and why don’t he test it with that kind of face. “People’s attitude would have a huge change. There is nothing more wretched and miserable than this. This is how it has been with me in the past. When Towako sees this, she will also definitely leave you! *Yuuga remembers Towako saying that the current Yuuga look is the best* For Yuuga’s appearance to change, it will definitely be a blow to her. *comment pricks Yuuga* And she will ruthlessly dump you. *comment stabs Yuuga*” Yuuga starts to become nervous and imagines Towako having a tantrum over this. On cue, Towako, together with Tsubaki, comes in and shouts for Yuuga. Rina is surprised and asks how they knew where they are. Tsubaki says that they have investigated it. Yuuga is really tense when Towako keeps on calling out to Yuuga, as to where he is. Towako grabs Rina and asks her where she is hiding Yuuga. Pointing to the guy at the side, Rina tells her that is Yuuga. Towako is shock to see a guy with slit eyes, fat nose and thick fish lips. Yuuga is shock when Towako exclaims who this is. Rina says who, of course, it is Yuuga. Tsubaki affirms it by saying that he is wearing the same clothes as Yuuga. Towako couldn’t believe that this ugly guy is her sparkling perfectly beautiful Yuuga. Yuuga calls out her name and Towako starts to cry for with that kind of face, it is totally still that same sexy voice. Trembling, Towako asks what’s going on, how it became like this, is this for real. Somewhat tense, Rina says, “See, it is like that! She also only looks at Yuuga’s face. Idiot! Everyone chooses people based on appearance. Do you understand, Yuuga-kun!? Just on appearance, you will feel the pain of being rejected by others--” This surprise Towako then she starts trembling in anger. She asks if it is only because of Rina’s own reason that she did this to Yuuga. Going in medusa mode, Towako angrily shouts that she cannot forgive her. Rina looks tense-surprised while Yuuga thinks that it [medusa mode] has appeared. Towako shouts if Rina knows what she is doing. “That is Yuuga’s face. That is a face that is close related to this manga! If it wasn’t for that face, then this manga wouldn’t have existed! Do you understand!” Yuuga looks shock by this. Rina answers back, “You..what are you talking about! You really put importance to that face! How disappointing! Yuuga-kun is already like that, so simply break up with him!” Yuuga is shock again. Gesturing to Yuuga, Towako exclaims, “What are you talking about, it’s impossible for us to break up! Even if he is like this, he is also still my husband!” Yuuga blushes over this and Rina is stunned by that answer. Touched Yuuga calls out Towako’s name but his happiness is short-lived when Towako holds his face and exclaims, “Yuuga! Let’s go back home, and think of a way to restore your face! There is definitely a way, relax.” Yuuga angrily shouts that she is still concerned about the face. Rina looks really flustered by this. After they left, the doctor comes out and asks where Yuuga is. Rina says that he already left. Holding a bottle, the doctor says that it wasn’t thoroughly finished yet, and that special make-up would last only for a day.
On the street, Towako tearfully asks Tsubaki if they can return Yuuga’s face back to normal. Tsubaki says that it is hard to say for even if it is plastic surgery, it is hard to perfectly return it to what it was. Hugging Yuuga, Towako cries and says that she doesn’t want that, Yuuga has to change back. Aghast Yuuga tells her, hey you.. The phone starts to ring, and Rina answers her cellphone. Looking at the couple, Kyousuke says that Rina is really taking her time for wasn’t the couple’s relationship still the same as before. “You should know, right. If you were to fail again--” Rina looks tense. At the Gokurakuin residence, Tokiko holds Towako and angrily shouts to her as to who that guy is, is she having an extramarital affair, they won’t let him in. Towako calls out for Yuuga and for her father that it isn’t like that. Nobu is pushing Yuuga away. Later on, normal looking Yuuga finishes eating dinner. He brushes his teeth and says that he is going to take a bath. He stops then turns to look at Towako and Tokiko. She shouts that he felt uneasy with them always staring at him. The mother-daughter combo says that it is because compared to what he just looked like, Yuuga now looks quite captivating. They thank the Heavens for this bshounen [beautiful young guy]. Nobu looks aghast by this. Towako is really relieved for she was worried of the possibility that Yuuga won’t return to normal, but thankfully, it is just a special make-up. There is a scene of Towako lifting up the ugly ‘mask’ from Yuuga to reveal his true face inside. [<- Yuuga said it hurts when she did that so, they must have glued in on his face] Yuuga doesn’t look quite happy about this. He mutters that it is troublesome and they are a group who looks at outward appearance. He got angrier when the mother-daughter combo exclaims that he looks cuter if he is angry. Yuuga angrily left with a huff. Towako calls for Yuuga to wait. She bids her parents a good night. Then, Tokiko tells her husband that for Ritsuki to do such a method, they should be on their guard or else.. Outside the compound, heading for their own house, Towako calls for Yuuga to wait, and not to be difficult with, even if it is cute. She asks him if he didn’t feel that it is good that he is back to normal. Yuuga angrily says yes, and this time around, thanks to her, it is a problem of her always paying attention to his looks. He exclaims if he always has that kind of [ugly] face, she would always be hostile with him. This displeases Towako.
She asks if he really thinks that way. To Yuuga’s shock, Towako calls him an idiot. Towako admits that it is her bad for always mentioning about his face but, his face is her ideal, that she doesn’t want it to have any changes. Blushing Yuuga couldn’t refute that. Towako says, “But I’ve also said, right? You and I won’t part, and I also won’t stop being faithful to you. I’ve already promised this, I will stay by your side throughout my life. *the two looks flustered at each other* If your face is always like that [ugly], I will make you go have plastic surgery!” Yuuga gets angry then he blushes a bit. He pulls her obi [belt]. She tells him to stop for it will loosen, and why he is taking the obi’s ‘pad’. Then, Yuuga blindfolds her. Yuuga asks if she cannot see anything. Towako says of course, she cannot see anything, and what is he up to.. Yuuga kisses her. This made Towako blush for it was sudden. Yuuga says that it is very good that she can’t see anything. She asks again what he is up to. Leaning close to her, Yuuga says, “Like this, it has nothing to do with the face, right? Even if you cannot see, I will satisfy you like before!” This surprises blushing Towako. She tries to tell him to wait but then, she has no way of refusing him. She then felt Yuuga’s touch. She thinks, “Even if I can’t see, I also know, these fingers that are touching me. The interval between kisses, *groans* Bulging shoulders, rubbing against my legs. All of it.. *partially sees Yuuga from her blindfold* is this person’s, my most beloved one. Geez, Yuuga! *hugs him* I absolutely cannot part away from you--..” Afterwards, Yuuga asks out loud why Rina didn’t give him a plastic surgery and an average person won’t do this kind of method and pass it off as a joke. “If she really hated me, in that kind of situation, she totally could have gotten me a plastic surgery. Towako says that Ritsuki and others could have threatened Rina. Yuuga exclaims if Ritsuki is related, then Towako had talked with Ritsuki. Towako asks him what’s with that, he also talked with Rina. Yuuga is flustered over those guys getting Rina involved in this. Towako calls out to him. Yuuga asks what is it, and why she didn’t tell him earlier. She tells him to go see Rina. This surprises Yuuga. Towako exclaims that even if she really doesn’t want to, but she believes in him. “Don’t you have something to tell her!! But, bring along an escort! At a restaurant, Rina looks at an email from Yuuga asking if they can meet today at 17 o’ clock. Then, she remembers Kyousuke giving her four tablets in a blister pack which she is going to put in Yuuga’s food/drink. Flashback: Rina asked what that medicine is but Kyousuke told her that it is just some medicine and she doesn’t need to know too much. “Don’t worry, no one will follow [/implicate] you. That is..if you fail again, I’m going to give your old pictures to your current friends.” End flashback. Rina is startled when Yuuga calls out her name. Yuuga apologizes for making her wait long. Then, they quietly sit beside each other. Then, Yuuga says, “I’m sorry. *Rina is surprised that she says, huh.* Even if I apologize right now, it is also too late. But I..” Rina stands up and exclaims what that means. “Why are you apologizing to me!? I did that to you..” Yuuga says that so, it is because he.. Himeno exclaims, “Rina! I..I.. from the time we were in junior high, *Rina blushes really red* I’ve always, always, always.. *holds bouquet to her* really like you, Rina!!!” This is totally too much for Rina to take and believe, that she faints. While the two guys fuss over her, Towako hopes that Yuuga and the others will settle their problem, and she— At Yachiougi residence, a maid asks Towako what business does she have with this house. Formally dressed up, Towako says that she wants to see Kyousuke.
Outside the street, Himeno calls out for Rina to wait, and why is she angry. “I’m sorry for suddenly saying that to you but I’m serious about it! Because during junior high, you were Yuuga’s girlfriend that I couldn’t say it. I’ve always, always..” Rina shouts that he is annoying. “What’s up with that! Since a while ago, you’re like that! Being in front of so many people, it’s embarrassing to death! Even if you look handsome in that. For you to be like this, you and Yuuga are only deceiving me! I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely do not believe you! *in total denial* It’s impossible for someone to like a person like me!” Himeno says, “Making you think that way, is all Yuuga’s fault. But, it is also my fault. *Rina asks what* I know! I only have to say the things that I like about you, then you’ll believe me! First of all- your smile is really cute. *Rina tells him to wait for a lot of people are watching* You are very considerate and agile. To people who were defeated [/failed], you won’t criticize but on contrary, you would encourage them. Ah, but if you were the one who made the mistake, you will be depressed for around two days. During cleaning time before, because you are striving too hard, you spilled the water all over the place. You were very gloomy over it but afterwards, you still strive hard to do your best in cleaning things up.” Sweatdropping Rina angrily shouts for him to wait for that is her awkward incident and is he treating her like a fool. This made Himeno sweatdrop and asks is that so. “But, those are the things that I like about you.” Rina remembers Himeno says that it is okay for him to help her clean up even if she told him that he doesn’t need to help her for this is her problem. Himeno continues, “And also, you unexpectedly eager to excel. And very righteous. Strong compared to what I’ve imagined.” Rina turns around and tells him stop talking. Himeno protests that there are still a lot of things and he can tell her a hundred reasons. Rina says, “Don’t say anymore! I already know. *blushing really red* Thank you.” This made Himeno blushes. He then asks for her email address and he will give his email to her. From the corner, Yuuga smiles over the two as they walk away.
Narration: “—Yuuga. Don’t always criticize yourself-- for blaming oneself isn’t good. The one who forced Rina-chan to do this kind of thing-- is this person.” Kyousuke arrives to where Towako is waiting for him. Towako takes out a bank passbook and signature seal from her purse. She tells him that she came to negotiate using two trillion yen in exchange. “This is all of the fixed assets and money that I have which are deposited in this account. This is all the things that I can give you.. This will already cut down in half the Gokurakuin’s economic strength. The other half belongs to her parents. Didn’t you want to control the whole economy! Then, don’t play with irrelevant people’s hearts.” Pointing at the bank passbook, Kyousuke says that she still doesn’t understand what he means. “To agitate the economy, it isn’t only with money. There is also connections and background. So what I’m saying is-- what we want is the ‘name’ of the Gokurakuin family. Irrelevant? My target is only those people who have a relation to the Gokurakuin family! If [you] do not want [them] to be attacked [by us], submissively give us the Gokurakuin name and we would let them off!” Towako looks surprised for he wants her to just yield to him before he let the others off. She remembers her parents. Kyousuke asks her what now, currently, she can still.. Seething in anger, Towako mutters that he is really an idiot who doesn’t understand feelings. While Kyousuke sweatdrops over being called an idiot, Towako exclaims, “Yes! You are a super huge idiot! *stands up* Ah! This is totally infuriating! Negotiating with a person like you is really of minimal value! I’m going home!” Kyousuke asks if she can have that kind of attitude when she will be heading to ruin. Glaring at him, Towako says, “..Bring it on. It is as if you can change the country. But, you cannot make each and every person to listen to you. A person cannot be coerced using one’s name, and it is through the use of heart to move one’s feelings. You want to ruin us? You also belittle us too much! I’m going! Goodbye!” Kyousuke continues to sit still before Ritsuki, who is listening from behind the room, burst into laughter. Ritsuki exclaims that girl is amazing for she is quite aggressive [/arrogant] even in this kind of situation. “She even called you an idiot. Ha..amazing! No wonder it’s Towako!”
Kyousuke tells him not to laugh. Ritsuki stops but still wants to say something. Kyousuke says that it is absurd to use the heart to move feelings. “Right, Ritsuki. We live in order to actualize that plan. *Ritsuki glances at him* Gokurakuin Towako.. *grits teeth in anger* I’ll let you know how terrifying [/great] I am!” In their room, Yuuga is surprised over a box of yatsuhashi [Japanese confectionery], cake, dried tofu, cake, tea and Japanese doll. Towako happily tells him that those are souvenirs. Yuuga asks if she went to Kyoto. Holding a yatsuhashi, Yuuga comments that it is black [made from black bean powder. Source: wiki.] Yuuga tastes it and says that it is delicious. Towako asks if he reconciled with Rina. Yuuga says that he did. He smiles and tells her, “It is already alright. Thank you.” Towako is a bit relieved but still worried that Kyousuke is targeting anyone who is related to her family, and if she doesn’t want them to be attacked.. Towako tells Yuuga, “Yuuga, I’m a person of ‘Gokurakuin’. You and I are not in one [same] world.” Yuuga gets angry and says what she is talking about. “Did you forget? *twirls his finger on her forehead* Did you forget how we met? Have you forgotten how much I resisted at that time!? *Towako apologizes and says that it hurts* But.. *thinking* if it isn’t because of ‘Gokurakuin’, we wouldn’t have married right now.” Towako angrily exclaims what he meant by that. Yuuga says that if there is no Gokurakuin family rule, they wouldn’t have married so early. “But, no matter what is your surname, it is the same. *holds her hand and points to her wedding ring* In the end, it will become like this.” Yuuga smiles at her and she thinks, “If I am simply me and Yuuga is simply Yuuga, we will definitely--” Towako happily hugs him that Yuuga asks what it is, since it is quite sudden. Towako says that it is nothing. Narration: “[I/we] won’t lose. [I/we] definitely can stand up and go forward. No matter what happens--” The next day, Tsubaki wakes up Towako and Yuuga by exclaiming that something bad has happened. Towako asks Tsubaki what it is. Tsubaki tells her that she just heard news from the main house that ‘All of Gokurakuin’s house has been mortgaged’ so that means, right now, they must quickly evacuate the premises. The couple is surprised by this.
I guess the author isn’t willing to make Rina into a real villainess because she will be paired up with Himeno. Also, I think the author wisely resolved the ‘making Yuuga ugly’ in just one chapter rather than drag it. It would have really plunged down the interest in this series. Even if it is a harsh reality, but I do believe that it is very important for a shoujo series to have a really good looking male lead. And, it is a major pull for female readers. And, that will be the basis for the new poll. I guess Towako’s reaction to it is quite believable especially since there is indeed the option of plastic surgery in these days. So, even if Rina really messed up his looks, Towako will try to fix it and in the end, I think she will learn to live with it. For Yuuga, his looks are a bit of a blessing and curse. Except from the initial reaction, Yuuga really doesn’t seem to think much about his looks. It can be irritating how Towako kept on talking about his looks as if that is all what he is about. Of course, it is kind of ‘kinky’ in how he convinced her that looks isn’t important in making love. =P The apology is really nice so that they can finally move on from that. Of course, Himeno takes the scene with his confession. Because of his character, Himeno can pull off a confession dressed up in full groom outfit and huge bouquet..as if he is proposing. =P That can easily swoon any girl and he can even recite a hundred reasons why he likes her. I wonder if Kyousuke knew that Ritsuki had partly helped Towako on this. Ritsuki doesn’t seem to be that much interested on the plan anymore. Also, it seems that he had somewhat accepted Towako’s rejection. What Towako did for him before really had such an impact on him because he is no longer doing underhanded methods. But then, he isn’t stopping Kyousuke. We still don’t know how those two teamed up together. Also, I wonder if Ritsuki will paired off with a girl later on since most of the cast are paired up. After all, even if illegitimate, he is a heir of one of the Godaimeika. Anyway, the Gokurakuin family is in new trouble and I’m sure they will show Kyousuke that they won’t easily cower and give up their ‘name’. I guess Kyousuke is a harder enemy to ‘defeat’ because he is cold-hearted/unfeeling, unlike Ritsuki who has a sad past. Still, I think, for Towako to make him get angry, is a step to win this. Kaon tells Misaki that she suggests that Misaki quit this job, or perhaps break up with Usui so that they won’t be doing this kind of thing. They were interrupted by Usui, wearing a navy uniform, that it will be very troublesome if they deprive him of his joy. The two guys wonder if the report is true that Usui is also working in that place since he is wearing a costume. Kaon is shock that rumor is true. Usui tells them that fundamentally, it a secret. Kaon asks if he isn’t ashamed of cosplay. Usui says that it is quite fun, and isn’t she ashamed for carrying around a huge teddy bear. This infuriates Kaon that she shouts that this is her father’s first gift and it is important for her. Tomu quickly puts his headphones on her to pacify Kaon’s outbursts with some anime music. Misaki nudges Usui about this that Usui apologizes. Tomu says that it is okay for it is mutual. Tomu says that he wants to ask again if it is serious. When puzzled Misaki is asking which is it, Usui says that seriously, cosplaying is fun. Misaki wonders if that was really the question. Usui says that since they don’t seem to believe him, how about they play a game. Soon, they are playing a maid based karuta game. [The basic idea of any karuta game is to be able to quickly determine which card out of an array of cards is required and then to grab the card before it is grabbed by an opponent. As Kaon removes the headphones, Usui tells them that he isn’t there because this is the ‘only place’ but rather, this is a ‘very good place’. Misaki says, “Planning to simply become friends with Usui, is really quite reckless, Master-sama.” Irked Kaon says those are such arrogant words, and wait until she loses, before she say that. Later on, the Miyabigaoka trio lost the game. Kaon is irritated that the two guys have to rub it in what she said earlier. It seems that the siblings are in a toy company and Kaon hesitates to admit that she had fun. Then, they got a call from Maki. Soon, it is time to go and Satsuki happily thanks Usui. While getting ready to change clothes, Misaki says that she finds it unexpectedly for her to face off early with them. She comments that it seems that there are all sorts of people in Miyabigaoka. Usui asks if she was worried. Misaki admits that she is but now, she is somewhat at ease for she had also properly seen and talked with them. Usui blushes then suddenly gives Misaki a kiss. Usui says that she really said some cute words, was she totally unaware of it. Blushing Misaki tells him that she only said it in an ordinary way. Usui asks, really. Misaki asks what’s funny and say it if he has something he wants to say. Holding her hand, Usui says, “Aside from being with you, Ayuzawa, there is no other thing that is scheduled on my birthday. Relax, okay?” This made Misaki embarrassed that she exclaims why he is saying that all of a sudden. He teases her about being uneasy over preparing to celebrate his birthday but no worries, he plans to make only her as the one who’ll help him celebrate it. Then, last scene is Maki looking out the window. Flower petals on the table and one falls down. Then, three idiots get one dessert coupon for all those drawings on the karuta cards. Next chapter will be on Jan 24th.
If it is like what I thought that it will be Seika vs Miyabigaoka. I guess the three idiots will be versus these three childhood friends. ^^; I do wonder if they will succeed in making Usui their friend..maybe sincerely, instead of it because they have to. For now, they don’t seem to be much of a threat..and maybe they might end up like the three idiots. Misaki handled them nicely and of course, Usui is very proud of her. Against these three, I think the couple can handle them. Usui can really get Misaki off guard with sudden lovey-dovey. So, it will be Usui’s birthday soon..I wonder what is planned for that day. Then, class president sees a couple of guys taking blister packed drugs. He is asking about a long haired girl in the night class but Yori already pulling him away because of a bad feeling about those guys who are looking darkly at them. They look back again to see Yuuki and Zero facing the two guys. The guys tell dorm head to leave. Yuuki tells Zero to not meddle for this is her job. Zero tells her to deal with it quickly. She looks at him then, quickly goes to the guy about wanting to chase those two when it is against the rules. She reprimands them while taking away their drugs. She asks if the tablets are the reason for them to forget all of the things they shouldn’t do. The two vampires start to charge at her to get the tablet back but she tosses them to Zero. They bit Yuuki’s arms. Yuuki tells Zero not to do anything since Zero is already pointing his gun at one of the two vampires. She tells the two guys to calm down, go back to their original self and remember the reason for coming to this school. They look surprise then bow down to her. They wonder what they were doing and they will accept whatever punishment for it. Yuuki is surprised that they are acting normal, and is it because of her blood. Yuuki tells them that it is okay for she knows it isn’t their fault and since it is still day, they should return to their rooms. Then, she notices a spider on the guy’s shoulder. She holds it on her finger and it disappears. Yuuki knows that it is Sara. Yuuki thanks Zero for a while ago. When she walks closer to him, Zero seems to back away. Irritated he tells her not to come close to him. While Yuuki holds her bleeding arm, Zero walks away. They didn’t notice another spider is watching them from a tree. While holding her ‘pet’ [Hanadagi’s servant] on a chain leash, Sara laughs about those two being funny. Leaning on her pet, Sara says that if she slightly stir things up, she doesn’t know which direction it will go, that is worthy of looking at. Pet angrily asks if it is like this again, like what she did with her master, planning to suddenly attack anyone who unfortunately got trapped [<- like an insect on a spider’s web =P]. Sara tells her that she likes to make undesirable things into everything one could wish for, just like her. [<- yucky insect into food, like a spider? =P] Zero arrives in front of the room and tells Hanabusa that he’ll replace him in guarding the pureblood inside. Sara goes to the door and greets Zero ‘good work’ on his guarding duty. “I have something that I haven’t told Yuuki.” She whispers to Zero then Zero looks troubled..then seems to partially smile. [<- A smile in disbelief over hearing something.] Meanwhile, Yuuki is holding a meeting. While Rima notices that Yuuki has her Perfect armband, Yuuki tells everyone about an inspection throughout the dorm, and if they do not want everything to be look into, they are to bring out all of the [new] tablets that they have. She warns that even if they hide it, she will definitely find it.
So, Yuuki is satisfactory becoming more proactive and strong. It is indeed a good decision or coincidence, that Kaname finally let her go and stop ‘pampering’ her. For her and Zero to deal with delinquent vampires, does seem like what they had been doing before as Perfects. Still, she needs to be less reckless in the things that she is doing for it will not only harm her but also the others. I guess both Yuuki and Sara are both making their moves because they know that they cannot continue on pretending to be ‘nice’ and ‘trustful’ of each other. If they keep dilly-dallying, they will be ‘eaten’. If Yuuki is starting to confiscate the drugs to put a stop on Sara’s plans to cause trouble or control the students, Sara is going to use her trump card about Kaname’s secret..which I think is what she told Zero. The opening scenes obviously meant that the secret has something to do with the Kiriyuu twins. I’m not sure what it really is but somehow, I don’t think that it is merely Kaname using ‘Zero’ for whatever plans he is doing for Yuuki like being her ‘guard’ since I think Zero already knows that. I wonder if there is more on how the hunters came into being. If it is about Kaname making the hunter weapons, will that make Zero become Sara’s pawn? Maybe if Zero knows this secret, he will no longer be apathetic to what Kaname is currently doing = wipe out pureblood which is what Sara could have wanted. But, it seems that Takuma knows about this secret. Wait..maybe, it was him who told Sara about it. Didn’t she torture him before about it? Cover page: “Finally..into the finale!! And, live action movie has been decided!!! It is really great that I was able to like you.” Narration: “It really makes one excited to be called a ‘female high school student’ and, meeting by chance one’s perfect lover. Falling in love. Striving hard to make oneself become beautiful each day.” On Tsubaki’s table is her teddy bear and bracelet. She finishes curling her hair with an iron and is satisfied with her look. “Today, like this, I will graduate from high school life.” Heading out, Tsubaki says that she’s going. While fixing her pearl necklace, her mother calls out to her and comments that her skirt is too short. Tsubaki apologizes and tries to fix it but her mother smiles and tells her that today is the last day she will be wearing her uniform, so she can wear it anyway she likes. This made Tsubaki blush. Her mother sighs and asks why she isn’t going to say the graduation speech when she is obviously the number one ranking in her year level. Tsubaki explains that according to the usual practice, it is always the job of the student president to say the speech. Just when Tsubaki is about to go out again, her mother says that after Tsubaki decided not to go into a university, she still didn’t slacked off in school, until the end. “*smiles* No wonder you are my ‘worthy to be proud of’ daughter.” Tsubaki smiles back and says that she is going. Standing at the corridor along with the others, Miho comments that next will be the graduation ceremony and yet, it still doesn’t feel real. Tsubaki agrees with her and says that this is the last time when they will see each other like this [the usual way since they are classmates]. Happily holding Tsubaki’s shoulder and pulling her to her, Miho exclaims what she is talking about when they aren’t going somewhere else. “Even if we graduate, we can still always see each other!!” Tsubaki blushes and exclaims, yes! Miho sighs and asks how come Kyouta who is going to study in Kyoto is still not there, could it be that he plans to not participate in the graduation ceremony. Tsubaki says that speaking of that, yesterday.. Flashback: While hugging Tsubaki, Kyouta said that he already had sufficient days of attendance, and attending the graduation ceremony is quite troublesome. End flashback. Miho comments that she understands Kyouta’s feelings for she also feels that the principal’s talk is too long. Tsubaki protests that graduation ceremony is a valuable memory of one’s life. Putting her hands on Tsubaki’s shoulder, Miho assures her that it is okay, Kyouta will definitely come. “Because, today is the last day when one can date, while in uniform. *thumbs up. Tsubaki goes huh* Starting tomorrow, if you were to wear your uniform, won’t it be like cosplay!?” Tsubaki lamely says ya..
At the auditorium, the 60th graduation ceremony starts. Students are given their diploma. A guy has fallen asleep. A girl reads a speech. Flustered Tsubaki looks at the empty chair. Later on, in class 3-5, the homeroom [PE] teacher says that for the last time, everyone can come and say one last thing for the last classroom meeting. Miho says that she really had fun studying for three years and after graduating from college, she will strive hard to become a number 1 PE teacher. Nishiki is happy over the many encounters [especially Sakura] and it is thanks to Meiou High. He is going to study in a special school regarding automotive equipment. [<- not sure if it is car manufacturing/being a car mechanic.] Haru thanks everyone for being nice to him even if he transferred to the school midway. In order for him to protect his beloved animals, he is going to strive hard to become a veterinarian. Then, it is Tsubaki’s turn. “—I failed in the junior high examination that I was only able to study in Meiou High. Upon entering this school, I felt really ashamed of wearing this uniform. I thought that this would definitely be a dark high school life. But.. the me who is like that, has met people who are worthy to be treasured, throughout one’s life.. *Miho blushes* And, because of them, *touches chest* it made me felt that ‘here’ has become place worthy to be treasured. After graduation, I plan to go to a specialized school so that in the future, I’ll become a hairstylist. I think that if I didn’t study in Meiou High, I won’t be able to come up with this decision. Starting tomorrow, I will feel very lonely because I won’t be able to wear this uniform anymore.” Then, the homeroom teacher is concluding the class meeting. Looking at the empty seat, Tsubaki sadly thinks that for Kyouta, graduation ceremony is really no big deal. Just when the teacher is about to dismiss the class, Kyouta arrives and says that he came just in time. Tsubaki blushes upon seeing him. The teacher calls him stupid for what is he saying ‘in time’, when he didn’t attend the graduation ceremony..does Kyouta want him to stop him from graduating. Taking his diploma from the teacher’s table, Kyouta just says, yes, yes, sorry. The teacher holds his wrist and tells him that as punishment, he is going to stand in front of the class to say it. Kyouta says, “casually passing through it.. casual three years..” This surprises Tsubaki for he is saying the same thing during the entrance ceremony before. [In the English scanlation, it is ‘adequately’ instead of ‘casual/do as what one pleases.’] Then, the two Tsubaki-s’ eyes met. Kyouta smiles and says, “But..it is comparatively a lot of fun[/happy] than I’ve imagined.” Tsubaki blushes. Crying teacher hugs Kyouta with his arm and greets his students, ‘congratulations for graduating’ before dismissing them for the last time.
Tsubaki goes to Kyouta and says that she thought that he isn’t going to come. Then, fangirls push Tsubaki away and asks Kyouta for his second button. [The second button from the top of a male's uniform is often given away to a female he is in love with, and is considered a way of confession. The second button is the one closest to the heart and is said to contain the emotions from all three years attendance at the school. This practice was apparently made popular by a scene in a novel by Daijun Takeda. Source: wiki] Soon, the girls are quarreling that they were first to ask Kyouta. Then, a girl shouts that Kyouta is running away. While fangirls chase after Kyouta, Miho helps Tsubaki up her feet and asks if she is okay. Miho says that with that kind of situation, when Kyouta returns, he won’t have any remaining buttons left. She asks if Tsubaki anticipated this. Tsubaki says no, but for her to have this *holds her bracelet* it is enough. Miho hugs her and says that she’ll take advantage of this opportunity while Kyouta isn’t there. “I also felt that because I was able to meet you, it has enabled me, who hate myself, to also change. Thank you, and after this, let’s always be friends..!” Tsubaki blushes and calls her name. Then, the two girls held hands and happily smile. After Miho left with her boyfriend, Tsubaki sits by herself in the classroom. She thinks that Kyouta has not yet returned. She takes out her cellphone and takes a picture of the seat beside her that has a bag and a diploma. She goes out of the classroom and starts to take pictures of all the places in school where she had memorable moments with Kyouta. Behind a building, Tsubaki reminisce that this is the place where Kyouta met with her after the entrance ceremony and that was really awful. Kyouta tried to ask money from her. Preparing to take a picture, she thinks that she really didn’t imagine that Kyouta will be the center of her love life in these three years. Then, she takes a picture of grumpy Kyouta who told her that he has been looking for her. Tsubaki says that it is because he didn’t come back..and what happened to him. Kyouta’s coat and shirt are open..that it is showing his bare chest. Blushing while looking away, Kyouta says that aside from the buttons, his necktie, scarf and sweater has been taken away. Tsubaki puts her scarf on him and says that it must be hard to be popular. Slightly blushing, Kyouta hugs her and says that it’s very warm. Blushing, Tsubaki says that they are still in school. Kyouta says that being in this place, reminds him of the entrance ceremony. Tsubaki asks if he remembers. Kyouta darkly says that of course, for this is the place where she cut his hair and for him that is like committing an atrocity. Aghast, Tsubaki protests that it is mutual for he also force.. Kyouta says that in the end, he said that, ‘I will take all of your firsts’. Flustered Tsubaki looks away and mutters that really made her frustrated. Holding her hand up by hooking up the bracelet, Kyouta says, “Making me also experience a lot of firsts, is [also] unexpected.” They blush while looking at each other’s eyes. Then, they kiss.
At the Shinkansen train station, Tsubaki tells Kyouta to take care. Kyouta is already standing inside the Shinkansen. She tells him that upon arriving at Kyoto, he should remember to immediately go to the nearest hospital for check up. Kyouta smiles and says yes. She tells him that no matter how much in a hurry he is, he should cross the pedestrian walk. Kyouta says okay. She tells him not to go see a maiko [apprentice geisha]. Kyouta says that he won’t. While Tsubaki still thinks what else to say, Kyouta lightly chops her head and asks if she still has something to say. Tsubaki says, “Are..are.. you really going to leave..? *Kyouta surprised* No.. I’m talking nonsense.. *crying* it’s nothing.. nothing at all..” Kyouta holds her hand and says, “Do you want to go together?” Tsubaki is surprised then she breaks into a smile. “Be careful on your way.” This made Kyouta blush. Just as there is an announcement that the door is closing, Kyouta kisses her and goes in the train. The door closes when Kyouta is saying something to Tsubaki. Tsubaki says, “Huh.. what? I didn’t hear you.. Wait.. *train leaving* Tsubaki-kun..” Later on, at Seigu University, the school bell rings. Breathing hard from running, Kyouta is on the phone. “Professor Kaminage’s class has just ended.. I’m currently going to the school’s gate.. *passes by a familiar girl* I’m sorry that I’m late. Wait for me at Kyoto station-- *looks back at the girl*” Holding her phone, Tsubaki happily says that it has been a long time. She tells him that she has no way of waiting so she went there. Blushing a bit, Kyouta asks if she really wants to see him. Tsubaki exclaims, “That day in the train station, what was the last thing that you’ve said!!?” While Tsubaki holds up her hands like begging him, Kyouta is a bit hesitant to say it. Tsubaki says, “It is because I’ve asked you so many times before ..and you would always say that *message on phone: ‘I’ll tell you when we meet next time’* and you won’t tell me that I’m always curious about it. *twinkle in eyes* Okay, tell me now!!” Kyouta says that it isn’t something that can just be said anew, once again. To Tsubaki’s shock, Kyouta says that it is alright, even if it isn’t said right now, and they should go to his house first. Tsubaki exclaims does he know for how many months that she tormented over this. “You’ve made me wait for such a long time. If it isn’t something important, I won’t forgive you!!” Kyouta finally relents and says that he will tell her. “The first word is ‘I’. *Tsubaki happily asks what’s next* The last word is ‘you’. And it is made of three words.” Tsubaki tells him to wait and she’ll link it together and.. “I.. love.. you--..” While Kyouta looks gloomy, Tsubaki looks surprised by this. Blushing Kyouta asks what, isn’t it an important thing. Narration: “Along with seeing each other multiple times, unknowingly, ‘like’ is no longer enough to express the feelings that had grown with each passing day. Tsubaki-kun also.. have the same feelings as me.” Tsubaki shakes her head and says, “Me too.. *they hug* I love you.” The End. Side Story will be in two parts. First one on January 4th, and the second one on February 3rd. Anticipate it ♥
And, that is quite a good ending with almost everything tying up to the first chapter. Or rather, it is like the first chapter except everything has changed for the better. A nice contrast like how she now confidently fixes her hair unlike before. The scene with Tsubaki and her mother is also a nice touch. This is pretty much a graduation chapter and the author captured it well with thought of nostalgia and hopes for the future. ^^ It is nicely capped with Kyouta’s ‘I love you’ even if it was Tsubaki guessed it out loud since she didn’t hear it the first time. Overall, I think this is quite a good series even if I didn’t really start reading it thoroughly until the Christmas candle arc. Well, that is because of my personal dislike for reading a girl being bullied through and through..and it usually seems she is really helpless, kind of like Cinderella. The story is really focuses on the couple with the rest just being side characters for plot progress or ‘problems for the couple’ so it is really recommended for those who are into purely just a love story until the latter part when she has to find her future path. This shocks Kyouko that she exclaims if this is the reason why she is there. Lory says of course, that is why it has been arranged from the start for her to be at Ren’s side. “So, you properly complete your guardian mission.” Kyouko looks aghast and says so it turns out not to be about Ren’s food management. Lory says that Ren can be stubborn so that is the only way to resolve it. Lory sighs and admits that he is always worried that bad things will become like that and even if Ren is strong, but in certain things he is quite meticulous. Kyouko says that even if he said that she should properly do this mission, but she doesn’t know what she should do. To her shock, Lory says that she doesn’t have to do anything. He tells her to just use Setsu speech and action to express what she is thinking, and that way, Ren can overcome that wall. Kyouko asks if it is really only that. Lory says that is true, or perhaps, he ought to say that she shouldn’t do other extra things if she is thinking of [/considering] Ren. Kyouko looks surprised and says that she understands and she will believe in Ren. Lory says that it is good for her to do that and are there any other troublesome things regarding some questionable actions. Kyouko says about the questionable.. Lory listens with anticipation but Kyouko just talks about Ren’s hair tips being curly and is it because of the soft quality of his hair. Totally bored by that, Lory tells her to just get Ren to tidy his hair up while sleeping. After hanging up, Lory complains about Ren still not combing his hair properly. He thinks that Kyouko even has time to be perplexed over nonsense things and it seems that she is already totally idle to the point of being anxious. He expects Ren to be logical and strong while staying in Unite States since he was having one girlfriend after another. Or, could it be that after coming to Japan, he had been living a self-restraint life for so long that he forgot about that male ability. Lory curses that his forceful cure plan for Kyouko, isn’t progressing by a hairline and why is it that he had put her in his [Ren] side. Isn’t it to establish a scope wherein they can mutually touch each other, and to cause an attack on Kyouko’s illness with the opposite sex.
Meanwhile, Kyouko is blushing really red. She is relieved that she was able to smoothly deceive Lory because when he mentioned ‘questionable action’, she immediately thought of the sleeping together in bed thing. That is something she cannot easily talk about. She has managed to act about it being the hair problem but in her heart, she is thinking of something else. Praying pose, Kyouko is really happy that she learned acting and now, she can change her tone of voice. She is glad that as a believer of Ren, she didn’t create a humiliating [/lose face] outcome. Remembering Lory’s advice to use Setsu’s speech and actions to express what she thinks, Kyouko thinks that she doesn’t quite understand the situation nor know how much she can do but in short, she should act first even if right now, she isn’t very mature but in order not to lose face during self-proclaimed ‘acting’ time, she will only have to put in everything and do what she can do. At the set, an actress is crying in fright to Murasame. He comforts her by saying that he is the hero and he will protect her. And THAT isn’t some shinigami [death god] or zombie, but a living human being. The actress says that even if he says that but..too scary. Murasame looks at Cain who is talking with the director. He says that yesterday that guy looks like a person and that is something he cannot deny. Cain is now wearing make-up with wound-slashes all over his body. Then, Murasame bends down and up, looking for someone. Then he thinks that ‘she’ is not around. When Cain looks at them, the actress freaks out and Murasame cringes that he tells himself not to be afraid. He tries to convince himself that Cain is flesh and blood like him. He would rather have his blood spraying all over the place rather than to run away. Later on, Kyouko wakes up and is startled that she has fallen asleep. She is shock that it is almost 12 noon already and she had left Ren alone for three hours. She remembers that putting on the special make up needs around 2 hours. Since he isn’t at the lounge to eat lunch, they must be still be filming. Even if she is internally freaking out, Kyouko still makes herself walk calmly like a model which is how Setsuka would be. She heads to Stage D where everyone should be since it is where they filmed yesterday. What she sees is carnage..with everyone having horrified expressions. Two guys are beaten up on the floor. Since one of them has belt thing, I think they are staff members. The director and other staff are also freaking out. On top of a huge block, BJ is strangling Murasame who is struggling to free himself. Kyouko wonders what is this..!! NEXT CHAPTER WILL BE ON JAN. 4!! TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE SERIES in the next issue ^^
Even if the series is slow as in super turtle pace, I can’t help but get excited at times. I guess I’m happy with it rather than for it to suddenly move in an abrupt fast manner then everything is resolved. After this arc, I’m pretty sure that Kyouko will know or would want to know who Ren really is because Ren will have to explain what he is acting strange like this. Lory is already partially telling Kyouko about Ren’s ‘secret’ and as their no. 1 cupid, he is really pushing the two together in this situation. Since he mentioned ‘forced cure’, I guess the author is moving things with the romance but still make it look natural for them to go out of character. I really hope Lory’s plan works. ^^ I think Kyouko will feel really privileged to help Ren big time this time around but like what Lory mentioned, it cannot be a full help which Ren wouldn’t want. I guess it is like how Ren would just give hints and side help with Kyouko’s roles before rather than ‘giving it to her in a silver platter’. It makes me wonder that if she idolizes Ren as some ‘acting god’, would romance be more possible with ‘Kuon’? =P Ah..the Corn one..not the violent one. ^^; I think the next chapter will start by showing how things ended up like that. Actually, for Ren to be like that, I wonder if the movie will be stalled since the others might not want to work with him anymore since they seem to be really injured. Nevertheless, if they get this done, it will be a truly scary film since the staff are already freaking out. I’m also curious on how Kyouko as Setsuka is going to help him with this. [Free Talk: Things came up and I will be a bit busy (not in front of the computer) this weekend up to Tuesday. But, I’ll do my best to squeeze in whatever summaries that I can do during that time.]
And, even if it is like that, in the end, he was forced to part with her because he isn’t a ‘Rose Knight’. Flustered Schwartz can only look on helplessly as the scientists took the resisting girl away. For him to be helpless in the face of ‘fate’, he concentrated on research in the hopes of forgetting everything but he couldn’t forget. Day passed by with him wondering if things would turn out differently and she can be with him if he had been a ‘Rose Knight’. Then, one day, she appeared before him, carrying a baby. She said that she knows that it is cruel to ask him about it but please free this child from ‘fate’. That was the first time he saw she cried. From then, he took up the child and escaped from society – away from people’s attention and taking refuge in the darkness. And every time he saw roses, he was afraid that it is the Association’s chasers. He, who is bringing up this little girl, grew more and more afraid that they are living a secluded life. Then, one day, while she is reading her books, young Anis asked her father why she doesn’t have friends. Schwartz hugged her and apologized. He had realized that he is making Anis live in the same circumstance as her mother. While having her in his embrace, he still wasn’t able to find a way to resist ‘fate’. He wondered what she would do – resist or accept it, but no matter what, everything is her decision. Schwartz gave Anis a rose chocker as a protective charm. He warned her that if she lost it, it will be quite terrifying wherein there will be a punishment for it. He thought that the humans ate the forbidden fruit, and as punishment, they were banished into the present world. Even if this was said in the ancient Bible, and in case that punishment would descend on his beloved daughter, even if it is a thorny and painful path, and even if she and her comrades become stronger, the only thing that he can do is to destroy her bonds to that thing. For her, he won’t hesitate even if this world has fallen into chaos. End flashback. Teary-eyed Anis asks if it is really for her that he wants to destroy the ‘Rose Contract’, but she.. Anis felt all sorts of emotions after hearing about her mother, and her father’s ‘true words’. Schwartz says that is right, he got the ‘Fake’ power but the wish he wanted to come true is now just something he doesn’t want to let go. “Anis.. the one protecting you is no longer me--” To Anis’ surprise, Schwartz disappears. She is surprised when Haruto, carrying Seiran on his shoulder, says that it is a 3D image. While Anis is surprised by that, Seiran quickly gets away from Haruto and says that he already told him that he is okay. Anis exclaims how they got here. Pointing to the side, they say that it is on the elevator, which just opened with Kaede and Mutsuki in it. Anis falls on the floor and groans for she climbed up the stairs to get there. Kaede quickly exclaims if she is alright. Anis says that she just feels weak on the feet but now, she is at ease *smiles* that everyone is alright. She asks about Tenjoh and they tell her that Tenjoh is waiting for Ninufa to bring him some good clothes.
Anis asks Haruto about the 3D image. Haruto tells her that Schwartz had prepared it because he anticipated that Anis will go there. The real Schwartz had already been taken away by the Association. When Ella disappeared, they got in, through a flaw of the barrier/kekkai. Towards anyone responsible for maliciously using the research knowledge of the ‘Rose Contract’ outside of the Association will undergo its judgment. Even so, the Association wants Schwartz’s brain. On the surface it is called meting punishment, but they plan to shut him in the research institute and of course, through an inhuman method. Haruto says that he wants to tell all that to Anis and if she wants to directly negotiate with the Association but because this person [Seiran] suddenly came out.. Embarrassed Seiran exclaims that it is because he didn’t explain it early on. Anis exclaims that they should go right now, for she wasn’t able to express her displeasure to her father and there are still a lot of things that she wants to ask him. Hitting his fist into his palm, Kaede says okay so where is this Association located. Seiran says that Itsushi didn’t mention about this Association to them. Looking thoughtful, Mutsuki says that Tenjoh knows. Anis is surprised by this. Seiran says that the Association is the institution[?] in charge of the ‘Rose Contract’, and good or bad, they stand at the same side so how come it is only Tenjoh [knowing it?]. Haruto tells Mutsuki that it would be okay if he said it earlier or could it be that he [Mutsuki] also underwent a lot of hardships just like Anis’ mother. This surprises Anis that she wonders, could it be.. Haruto says that the Association is the White Knight’s Tenkyoku Church’s higher-ups/superiors organization. Anis seems surprised by this as she mutters that based on what her father just said.. Haruto says that is right, Anis’ mother belongs to the Tenjoh clan and she was married to the past generation’s White Knight of the same clan. For nearly two hundred years, the White Rose’s clan repeatedly intermarry among close relatives. As a Knight and at the same time as the ‘Dominion’s later generation/offspring, they are attempting to seize the ‘Rose Contract’ into their hands. Anis says, “Wait.. wait a minute.. (this means to say.. Could it be.. it couldn’t be.. that it means I and Tenjoh senpai has a blood relation--!?)” While Anis cringes over that thought, Haruto laments that just like before, her reaction is different from what he imagined of her being angry. Seiran protests that Tenjoh is their comrade. Haruto asks how come he didn’t come back until now. Seiran insists that he is just slow. Mutsuki disagrees for he is afraid that Tenjoh won’t come back.
And, that night ended so they knew that the barrier is gone. The people on the streets wake up and it seems that nothing has happened. What was left are Ella’s scythe and the Arcana cards which Ella asked Haruto to give to Anis if she dies. Later on, Ninufa and Itsushi welcome them back. Even if Yakoh has smoothly woken up but Idel had used up all his strength, hence he is ‘sleeping’. Yakoh says that it is okay for this time around, he will make Idel wake up. Even if Anis isn’t too happy over the outcome, Yakoh thanks her for her help. And despite all that, Tenjoh still didn’t come back. At school, Anis wonders out loud if Tenjoh didn’t go to school. Then, Kaede notices some girls and calls out to them. After some talk, Kaede tells Anis that Tenjoh didn’t come to school. After the girls left, Anis asks who they were. Kaede says that before those girls asked him to give love letters to Tenjoh, saying that he is always with Tenjoh. Scratching his head, Kaede asks if he is always with Tenjoh. Anis comments that it is true for they are always acting together. “..yes, always together. *clench fist* So, I believe in him. We are going to find [/see] Tenjoh-senpai..!” Gloomy Kaede says, “That’s right..let’s go to where BROTHER is.” Flustered Anis shouts that he isn’t allowed to say that. At Tenjoh residence, sitting on a gothic type chair with Mutsuki standing at the side, Tenjoh says that finally the Apocalypse is open. “Come- to my side, Rose Princess.” Narration: Tenjoh is a senpai in her school. A representative of Tenkyoku Church, and also her White Knight. And until recently, he has a blood relation with her, as well as the Association. Punishment 38: Captured in a Rose-colored Maze Anis, Kaede and Seiran arrive at the side wall of the Tenjoh residence where all of the riddle [/elusive matters] is. Kaede lamely asks that it is within. Flustered Anis exclaims that last time, they weren’t able to get in [properly]. Kaede says that she fundamentally doesn’t ‘believe’ [in Tenjoh] so are they going to climb in. Anis tries to protest that this is Tenjoh-senpai.. Then, Seiran says that he believes in Tenjoh. There is a huge blast which caused a hole in the wall. Seiran says but, it is faster if they go through this way. Anis and Kaede sweatdrop over this for without noticing anything, Seiran had already made a hole with explosives.
Walking inside a forest, Kaede grumpily asks if they are going through here again. Seiran tells them that this time around, he brought a stronger compass. Looking at the dense forest, Anis compares it to Tenjoh’s heart then hopes that his heart doesn’t have human eating plants like the one that just ate Seiran’s compass. After three hours, Anis comments that they are passing through the same path since they had seen that same compass-eating plant. After six hours, Kaede is already dizzy that he says that he is seeing his afterimage. Anis tells him to pull himself together a bit. After 12 hours, they are now officially lost. Kaede asks if this is really a courtyard or some extra dimensional.. Then, Seiran apologizes to Anis that he is already.. He starts to fall down on the ground. Anis is worried about him but Seiran says that when it is 9pm, he has to sleep. Flustered Anis thinks that he is such a good child. Anis tries to wake him up to no avail. Kaede says that it is inevitable that they sleep outdoors. Anis freaks out over this. Anis calls him stupid for what he is saying when they didn’t prepare anything. Kaede says that they don’t know what is lying ahead of them so it is better to conserve their energy. Anis continues to protest that there is nothing to sleep on. Kaede takes off his coat and puts it on the ground. He tells her to sleep over that. While Anis couldn’t believe that, Kaede lies down on his coat and tells her that if not, how about sleeping on top of him. =P This made Anis blush really red. Kaede tells her it is okay, he doesn’t mind. Anis exclaims if he is joking. She thinks that this is obvious Kaede, yet he is acting quite natural. Kaede says that he is serious but Anis still couldn’t believe it. She decides to let it go and just go to sleep. Facing away from him, Anis sleeps on top of Kaede’s coat. Anis blushes and wonders if she is the only one who is thinking [/bothered] about it. Later on, Kaede asks if she is sleeping. Irritated, Anis mentally asks how she could sleep so quickly. While he calls her name, Anis closes her eyes and mentally tells stupid Kaede to stop calling her name repeatedly. She is surprised when Kaede mentions that they’ve kissed. This made Anis blush. He sits up and asks if he can be complacent. Anis says that is because of a forced situation. Kaede says that even if it is like that. He leans on top of her and says, that he couldn’t stop himself. He gently pulls Anis towards him and is about to kiss her but Anis pushes him away and says no, right now, she doesn’t want to do this kind of thing. She tells him that until now, she had met a lot of people with pained feelings, Rose Knights and Rose Princess.. Kaede tries to protest that even before that, towards her, he.. [<- confession] Blushing Anis says, “Kaede! Please.. (because I also--..)” Kaede quietly looks at her and says okay, temporarily he would be her Rose Knight. Anis mutters his name. She thinks that after all of this ends, she..
Someone then says, “Tsk.. For the FOOD TO BE PLACED IN FRONT OF YOU, has it made you impatient, Doggy?” Kaede looks up the tree to see grumpy Mutsuki who lashes out his strings on Kaede [<- deliberately missing]. Mutsuki jumps down and says that [Kaede is] placing the ‘Knight’ aside and just thinking of himself. To Anis’ surprise, Mutsuki grabs her leg and pulls off her sock. Holding her calf, Mutsuki says that her feet really hurt, and luckily she is still able to endure walking. Kaede is surprise about this. Putting his face on her shin, Mutsuki says, “Really pitiful.. My Rose Princess.” Then, he kisses her foot. This made Anis blush and wince in pain while calling out Mutsuki’s name. Filled with killer chi, Kaede tries to punch Mutsuki but Mutsuki manages to evade it. Mutsuki asks what is with that attitude, and thanks to him for specially going there, he’ll replace the no good dog in leading the way. To Kaede’s irritation, Anis is puppy-eyed and gushes, “Ahahah...Mutsuuuuki..” While Anis goes to wake up Seiran that they are going, Kaede asks Mutsuki why he can be relaxed like this. The two look at each other then Mutsuki says, “I’m a Knight. And, compared to you, I have WAITED FOR SUCH A LONG TIME. *smiles* I’m waiting for the optimal opportunity to snatch [her] away.” Slightly tense Kaede smiles back and curses. While Kaede is carrying sleeping Seiran, Anis asks Mutsuki where they are going. He tells them that they are going to what is commonly known as ‘Lisa’s Coffin’ where the innermost Tenjoh research facilities are located. Surprised Anis wonders if it is that secret door. She asks if they go there, would they be able to find her father. Mutsuki says no, the one inside is Tenjoh and she can ask him directly about the Association that took away Schwartz. “I think the he [Tenjoh] himself is the one who is genuinely being imprisoned. *This surprises Anis* Anis..Can you save Mitsuru?” This makes Anis wonder if Tenjoh is the same as the others whom they have saved from the darkness within their hearts. Then, someone says that they are truly a bit too naive. Chains start to come out from the ground and envelop the Knights. Wearing priestly clothes, Tenjoh descends down in between the stone pillars that have chained up the other Knights. Kaede exclaims that weren’t he [Tenjoh] their comrade. Tenjoh says, “Comrades.. that kind of thing doesn’t exist.” Anis shouts Tenjoh’s name and goes to him. Tenjoh says, “Rose Knight- is useless. I’ve come to get you, Rose Princess.” Tenjoh grabs Anis wrist and using his power, he made Anis fall asleep. While holding sleeping Anis, Tenjoh says, “Come-- with me to the god’s kingdom concluding blood marriage.” Blurb: “Finally into the climax!! Tenjoh Mitsuru is friend or foe..”
Schwartz’s love story is kind of cute though it didn’t end quite happily. I wonder if Anis’ mother is already dead. I’m kind of hoping that she’s not. As expected, he has a sob story and it turns out that what he is doing is all for Anis to ‘protect her and free her from the contract’. For them to once again repeat the mistake of getting lost in Tenjoh’s estate..ah, for the comedy. =P Kaede is really starting to make his move and of course, it is only one step more for the Final Awakening. The contest is really between him and Mutsuki. From this chapter, I think Kaede has a higher chance unless, the author suddenly goes for a comedic reaction from Anis again like her response on the possibility of Tenjoh being the bad guy. She is more grossed out over the possibility of them being blood related =P Well, all that research explains what Tenjoh is doing with Mutsuki before. Hm..I wonder if they weren’t able to perfectly clone Mutsuki. It is kind of amusing that Seiran slept through all that. Based on how they were chained, I wonder if Tenjoh plans to make the other Knights watch for him to make Anis to become his or they will have to free themselves and look for Anis and Tenjoh. I still think that everything will be resolved, meaning Tenjoh turns out not to be a bad guy..just like what other guys seemed to be before. ^^; Oh by the way, maybe this is why Tenjoh is obsessed with Anis with all those Anis stuff in his room..they probably told him that Anis will be his ‘future bride’. =P And, it makes sense that Schwartz wants to be the ‘Silver Knight’ which is the equivalent of the ‘White Knight’ whom Anis’ mother is forced to marry. Soon, the two are removing each other’s clothes while kissing. They lie down on bed and continue to kiss. Nozomu is starting to lose his cool when he couldn’t find Sumi. He starts shouting Sumi’s name. A hotel attendant asks him what had happened. Nozomu tells him that he is looking for his wife, Sumi so can he get all the doors of the place opened up for him. The attendant says that it is hard to do that. The manager [I think] bows and apologizes to him for even if it is his [Nozomu] orders, it is very difficult for them to comply with that. They look tense when Nozomu just says is that so. Then, Nozomu continues to walk away. The couple is now naked and starts to make love. Nozomu walks down the basement and takes an ax. In Soichiroh’s room, there are groans and Soichiroh says that he loves her. Angry looking Nozomu starts to walk at the corridor and knocks at a closed door room. He calls out for Sumi to please not make him angry. Then, the other occupants/guests of the hotel go out of the room to see what the commotion is about. They were shock to see furious Nozomu starts to chop down a door. He opens the door through the hole he made, but that room is empty. He turns around and the other occupants quickly close their door. Someone shouts for someone to call the police. While Nozomu is walking and calling for Sumi, the couple is now in the climax. With an angry glare, Nozomu stops at a door and wonders if it is there. Then, he holds up his ax to chop the door down.
My first reaction is ‘wow, so stupid’. Psycho guy is after you and you decide to have sex while in the same building with the psycho guy. That isn’t very brilliant isn’t it? Is it some sort of death wish? Hopelessness that they cannot escape anyway so at least, let’s do this and who cares what happens later on? Shouldn’t they do it outside or elsewhere? I started thinking of that burning hotel incident and think that Sumi seems to have a sort of resemblance with Nozomu in that way. They are doing something easy-going in the midst of a dangerous situation. ^^; Hehe, I guess after this, Nozomu will be banned from hotels. =P Because there was the burning incident before, and now, chopped doors with frightened guests. It makes me think of categorizing the characters in this way: Lead characters = stupid, Bad guys = intelligent/crazy, and side characters = normal. ^^; Nevertheless, it is highly entertaining that make readers react and wonder what will happen next. It is really like a soap opera though it is in suspense/horror right now. It does seem like some sort of tv show/movie based on how calm Nozomu is looking for Sumi at first. He was also drawn quite handsome there. It really suits him to have his hair down. Hehe, because he is walking slowly, it is his fault that is why he lost sight of her. =P As they say, there is a thin line between love and hate. I think it will be quite scary when Nozomu crosses that line. This situation seems to be asking for some sort of ‘crime of passion’ like a husband catching the wife with his lover but in this case, delusional Nozomu thinks that he is the husband. For the author to suddenly twist the plot here instead of prolonging it like how Soichiroh can climb up back in society, I guess she wants to make things moving..and we might finally get to know of Sumi’s background soon. It is quite hard to guess how the plot will end to that point about Sumi’s background, and I think it will rely on what will happen to Nozomu. I’m thinking that Sumi and Soichiroh will be back to where they were [high society], and probably, Soichiroh will wonder about that cross. Scans by 红莲汉化组.

At home, Kazuma comes home in a good mood that he even bought a cake. Teppei happily welcomes him. Fumino is still studying yet her mind is on what happened earlier. She had already agreed to it but wonders if she can keep it a secret from Kazuma just like what Sasa told her. Kazuma happily hugs her from behind and asks if she is really going to be a teacher. Fumino tensely says that if she becomes a teacher. Kazuma assures her that she will be and he is really happy about it. “Thank you! Fumino! It..is really great that I’ve become a teacher.” Fumino blushes over this. Later on, they ate the cake. While taking a bath with Teppei, Fumino wonders if K father meant about exposing the marriage as ‘the aftermath’ but she definitely doesn’t want Kazuma to quit his job. After they took a bath, Kazuma tells Fumino that her cellphone is ringing. It is Meg who invites her to come to her [Ojiro] house this weekend, and she heard all about it from Sasa. While Kazuma is blow-drying Teppei’s hair, Meg says that it is because Fumino couldn’t lie, so with this, it would be okay for Fumino to say that she is going there. Fumino thanks her. Meg says no, it is her fault that they accidentally met with K father. She apologizes for it and Fumino says that it is okay. Fumino becomes determined to go on with this for it has meaning that he told her that he wants to see her. Fumino thinks that there is still something that she can do. Fumino informs Kazuma about this. He immediately becomes dark and angrily asks why, when they can do it in ‘OUR’ house. Thinking that he is really angry, Fumino mentions over his change of tone. Kazuma apologizes over this, and then he glomps Fumino. He shouts for her not to go near Ojiro residence, and that unpleasant experience before, had made her feel really down. Still in his embrace, Fumino tells him to listen to her. Then, she asks what it like was for him before whenever he meets up with his father. She timidly says that if he doesn’t want to tell her, it is okay. Kazuma says that he doesn’t have much that impression on it for there were four years when they didn’t live together but..there is a distance between that man and him. Flashback: K father asked Kazuma if he is doing well. Kazuma said yes. K father told him not to cause trouble with the people around him. Kazuma said yes again. End Flashback.
Kazuma admits that he is scared of his father’s cold glare that is looking down on him so, he would only look up to his father’s necktie. “And in some unknown time, there is now a wide gap between us.. No one has pulled close that distance, and gradually it became a river that could not be surpassed.” Fumino hugs Kazuma tight. Kazuma says, “It is alright, I don’t feel lonely anymore. Right now.. *hugs Fumino tighter* it will pain me more if I were to part with you..” Fumino thinks, “We won’t part, absolutely not part. I don’t want to part with sensei.” On the weekend, Kazuma looks dispirited that Fumino still wants to go when he told her not to. Fumino tensely tells him that they are only going to study. Pouting, Kazuma says that if he doesn’t have work today, he would have taught them at home. Kazuma apologizes to Ryuu for making him take care of Teppei and the house. Ryuu and Teppei happily greet ‘gambatte’ to them. Flustered Fumino looks at Kazuma. Then, she pulls down his scarf and kisses him on the cheek. While the two onlookers are surprised by this, Fumino blushes and apologizes for doing it suddenly. Still surprised, Kazuma says that it is okay. Fumino bids them goodbye and left. Looking puzzled, Kazuma touches his cheek. Ryuu is envious of him. Narration: “The sensei who changed my life and gave me happiness, this time around.. I will protect you--” Following the directions on a paper, Fumino finds the house and Sasa is waiting for her outside. While walking inside and being surprised at how big the garden is, and how long the corridor is, Fumino thinks that this is the place where Kazuma was born and grew up. Then, Shoma who just woke up calls out to Sasa and asks him if he bought new hair gel because he already used up the one he is using. Just when Sasa is telling him that it is in the second drawer, Shoma is shock that Fumino is there. Fumino tells him that she was called there by his father. After telling Shoma where the gel is again, Sasa continues to lead Fumino to where K father is. Meg timidly tells Shoma that his father knows about the marriage, and she is afraid about what will happen to Fumino and Kazuma.
In front of a room, Sasa calls out to Touma and informs him that Fumino is now here. Fumino tells herself not to be afraid because it is Kazuma’s father. After entering the room, K father welcomes Fumino and says that she is really shameless to go there, the girl who’ll sink the Ojiro reputation into crisis. “Right now, please immediately leave him.” Thinking that K father has that icy glare and scary voice, Fumino says, “..I don’t want to.” K father asks what she said. Fumino angrily screams, “I Don’t Want To! *bows* I know that what I’m saying is quite willful! No matter what, I will put in all my strength for others not to know about it and just quietly live on. Please help us protect this secret together! Papa! (it’s only for a very short period of time) There are only three months left.. and we won’t have a relationship of being ‘teacher-student’, (very short) after that time, we would only be a ‘married couple’!” K father replies, “Ha? ‘Married couple’? *stands in front of Fumino* Very regretfully, I cannot accept that. *Fumino surprised* And, if you don’t do things in accordance to what I’ve said, you cannot go back. You should have prepared for yourself upon coming here, right, ‘Kazuma’s bride’?” Soon, it is dark, Kazuma arrives at the apartment. He is puzzled why he couldn’t contact both Fumino and Meg on the phone. He wonders if they are concentrating on their studies. Then, he is shock to see Sasa in front of his house. Ryuu has given Sasa Fumino’s uniform and other school stuff. Kazuma rushes to him and asks why he is there. To Kazuma’s surprise, Sasa just gives him a cellphone. Kazuma answers it and asks Fumino if something happened. Fumino apologizes for his father said that if she returns to him, he would tell the school about their relationship. Kazuma becomes tense for it has finally arrived..
Kazuma tells her that he will go there right now but Fumino shouts for him not to. “Even if you’ve come, you also won’t be able to calm down and properly talk! I will properly convince papa while I’m here at the Ojiro residence! I will tell him how excellent you are!” Narration: “The darkness in front will disappear with your radiance.” While Kazuma returns the cellphone, Sasa asks if he understands. Kazuma says yes, and even if she said that, she won’t listen.. Then, determined Teppei, carrying a huge backpack, stomps out and clings on Sasa’s leg. Sasa asks if he wants to come along. Teppei exclaims yes. Kazuma tells Teppei to protect Fumino in his place. Teppei answers, roger. After bidding Teppei goodbye, Kazuma looks sad. Narration: “So..I will also bravely face the darkness, no matter what the cost is waiting for me..” At the Ojiro residence, Fumino tells Shoma that she has just finished taking a bath. Blushing Shoma wonders if this is called ‘living under one roof’. Touma is such a mean guy but I cannot help thinking that he is just testing Fumino. After all, this is a guy who married Emma who probably saw the ‘good man’ behind that cold glare, etc. Also, this is serialized in Lala and it is a light series so I’m thinking that it might easily be resolved just like what happened in Ouran High School Host Club. It is quite a contradiction for him to not want to ruin his family’s reputation and yet, he is threatening them about revealing the secret. If he did, won’t it be like he was the one who ruined it in the public eye? ^^; Anyway, the purpose is to convince Touma of how amazing Kazuma is and most probably, Fumino will bridge that gap between them. Based on the Japanese raws for chapter 50 in yuukuzuri’s blog, I’m right about this. =P Also, Fumino mentioned that we only have three months left of their time so I guess this series is going to end soon, too. Soon, they are in the elementary. C mom happily commented that they have grown up. R mom said that it is good that they are in the same section. C mom exclaimed for her not to destroy things. Chizuru said yes, and later on, she wrecked a window after hitting a baseball into it. Then, someone bumped into Chizuru and she ended up with scrapped knees. She beat up the other kid. At home, C mom lamented over this and wondered how many times she would apologize for Chizuru. R mom said that she is quite energetic. C mom asked about Ryu. R mom said that he looked very happy. Ryu came home and started to eat onigiri. R mom asked him about school and Ryu replied that it is very interesting. R mom said that Ryu could have been misunderstood because everything is okay with him, and he doesn’t talk much. She didn’t know what he is thinking. The mothers were surprised when Chizuru suddenly shouted and said that Ryu isn’t like that. One day, during some school picnic, Ryu going to happily much on his onigiri when a girl bumped into him. The onigiri fell on the grass. The girl apologized when some airhead kid exclaimed about having a banana, and stepped on Ryu’s onigiri. Ryu is expressionless while the girl kept on apologizing to him. Ryu suddenly stood up and left. This made the girl cry that she apologized to Ryu and he wouldn’t listen, and she made Ryu angry. Chizuru explained that it isn’t like that. Ryu didn’t hear her apologize because Ryu was too shock that his favorite onigiri has been stepped on. Chizuru thought that Ryu isn’t angry, and she always thought that ‘he could have been more angry’ but his temperament is just really good. Chizuru made some sushi from Ryu’s side dishes. Ryu ate it and thanked her. She thought that he likes it. At home, while bringing her a glass of drink, R mom said that is true but it is good that Ryu has Chizuru who understands him.
In spring, Ryu is wearing a baseball uniform. Chizuru praised him that it suits him. Ryu says ya, and slightly blushes. Chizuru thought that he is very happy. After playing a baseball game, Ryu made a friend [I think that is Shouta]. Chizuru passed by and happily look at Ryu. Soon, it is tanabata festival. Chizuru asked him what he would write as his wish. He said to be good in playing baseball. When he asked about hers, Chizuru exclaimed that if it is said out loud, it won’t come true. This made Ryu froze =P Then, Tooru arrived and Chizuru happily went to him. Tooru asked what she wrote but she said that it is a secret. After they hanged up tanzaku, where they wrote their wishes, on a bamboo tree, Ryu looked up and saw that Chizuru’s wish is to marry Tooru. On the way home from school, Chizuru is happily telling Ryu how clever Tooru is that he split up the meat bun and bean bun so they can have half of each. Chizuru wanted to do this with Ryu but Ryu wanted to buy onigiri. =P Chizuru exclaimed that his mom makes the world’s best onigiri so they go home and eat that. Then, they passed by Tooru who came out of a convenient store. Just when Chizuru is going to greet him, Tooru’s girlfriend came out. Tooru split the buns with her and they held hands. Chizuru looked depressed so Ryu quickly grab her hand tight and they ran off. Chizuru tried to ask Ryu about splitting the buns and the way they held hands but he kept telling her not to talk about it. Then, Chizuru burst into tears. That day, they came home late and were fiercely reprimanded but.. R mom told them to eat first. While the two happily ate them, Chizuru thought that she is so hungry that she felt like crying and afterwards, she didn’t cry anymore. Soon, it is a snowy day. R mom shouted to Ryu that it is time to go to school, and praised Chizuru [for being there already]. R mom said that JR has stopped so there is no school for high school and Tooru went back to sleep. Chizuru complained about that. R mom said that it would be good if there is also no school for elementary, and even if she would want to send them off in a car, but her husband had already left. Totally covered, Ryu said that they are leaving. R mom called out to Chizuru and fixed her scarf. She said that is okay and laughed at how cute the two of them looked. Ryu complained over how difficult this is but R mom told him to bear with it. Outside the door, R mom told them not to run and upon their return, there are onigiri waiting for them. The two were holding hands. R mom exclaimed for Ryu to hold Chizuru tightly. As they look back to her, Ryu said okay. R mom happily waved them goodbye..and that is the last time Chizuru[/they] ever saw of her.
Since it seems that Ryu’s mom will/had passed away, I guess they will have to fulfill her dream of Chizuru marrying into her family. Is this what the flashback is for? Since it is already pretty much established as to what kind of relationship the two have. Maybe, it is to show that Chizuru just didn’t realize her feelings for Ryu since she is always looking at Tooru. It makes me wonder if for this couple, it will be the same like Sawako and Shouta. Then, Joe starts to talk about Gloria that if she only have half of the twins’ strength then she wouldn’t have become poor after being abandoned by that guy, she fooled around with. Then, at such a young age, she is admitted to that mental hospital and in the end, committed suicide. Joe snorts and says that Gloria is a filthy, miserable, stupid woman. Joe freaks out when Eros grabs his collar. Eros sarcastically tells him that he is overwhelmed by the ‘concern’ Joe has for his family. He has been wondering what this thing that he ‘owes’ Joe and finally he realizes what it is..it is this. To Joe’s surprise, Eros punches him. Then, Eros takes the box and pulls Lele to go with him. Lele is nervous because Eros is furious and definitely, it was Leo who told him about it. In the apartment, Eros throws Lele into the sofa and angrily shouts why she is meddling and who told her to do that. To his surprise, Lele takes the box and tells him to open and look inside. She asks him why he didn’t treasure it when it is the only things remaining for him to reminiscence his mother. She says that he obviously misses his mother that he would call her in his sleep. She asks again why he would give up on these important things. Flustered, Eros denies it by saying who said he considers those things important since that mother doesn’t recognize him as her son, because she ran away from pain, and had become crazy. He exclaims that he has been abandoned earlier on, within her memory, just like that guy whom he should call ‘father’. “So, why should I reminisce, a mother like that?” Eros slaps away the box and its contents spill on the floor. Lele is surprised by this. As Eros left with a huff, Lele starts to pick up the things, starting with a framed painting of Gloria. Lele recognizes it as the one that Stanley painted. Noticing the blood stains that cannot be wiped off from the painting, Lele thinks that Gloria is really beautiful..why..
Then, the back cover of the picture frame loosens. To Lele’s surprise there is a letter falling out of it. She reads the letter and looks surprised. In the bedroom, Eros is sitting on the floor and puffing a cigarette. Holding the letter to him, Lele asks him if he is really such a coward, worried about being abandoned, and afraid of being forgotten. “Are you someone who really doesn’t have much self-confidence? That mother who loved you unconditionally, ever since you were born.. you suddenly do not have even a little bit of trust towards her! Seeing you like this.. she must be crying day and night in heaven! You didn’t even give her a bit of opportunity to explain and you just sealed up yourself to lick your wounds... the you being like this, is really such a selfish, pitiful idiot!! This.. is a letter hidden within the painting. It’s hers...written for you.” This surprise Eros, and he starts to read it: “Yin, my beloved child.. *writing letter* How long has it been, when I wasn’t able to properly look at you? *looks out the window* It has been a long time when my consciousness and my heart are filled with hatred and hopelessness! In order to escape from this pain, I chose to not hear anything, nor see anything. Just live in some dark corner.. *goes to the toilet and looks at herself on the mirror* But sadness won’t stop wearing me away! *touches face and takes a razor* Occasionally, I would wake up from the darkness~ But, I have realized that I have committed a scary mistake! I have let the hatred cover up my eyes, and I wasn’t able to see the one, who is always accompanying me, at my side, in spite of everything! *Young Eros walking his mother out.* I cannot forgive myself for this sin. *lying on the bed and puts the letter inside the picture frame of the picture* Sorry! I’m sorry! My child.. Mama really loves.. truly love you~ Please forgive me for not being able to prevail over my weakness! *takes razor blade and slits her wrist* My Yin.. *Flustered Eros is trembling and teary-eyed* My Yin.. please forgive me.. *dies on a blood-stained bed with the painting* Forgive me, and forget about me--!!” Eros’ tear falls on the letter. He crumples it and repeatedly asks ‘why’ and why she treated him like this. Crying Lele just watches him vent out his sadness.
I guess Gloria is really weak-willed and has very low self-esteem. She couldn’t bear the sadness of losing a child, hatred for the father, and now, guilt of ignoring her son. She must be thinking that she is sparing Eros from the hardships of taking care of someone like her, and for him to move on his life. Unfortunately, the effect has been the opposite since it caused a major trauma for Eros which controlled his whole life..until now. Hm..it seems that from anger and denial towards his mother, Eros’ feelings will be now more on sadness over his mother’s tragic life. She must have really underestimated his love for her. But at least now, Eros knows that his mother truly, and still loves him. I do wonder though if the doctors/caretakers of that place know that there are times when Gloria is sane. If they do, how come they didn’t tell Eros about it. I think if Eros knew then, he would write letter for her to read when she is okay. Also, why is there a razor in her room? Who is shaving there? Shouldn’t they be sued for this negligence? Well, past is past..time will now move on with Eros, and it is all thanks to Lele. Major obstacle is now removed. ^^ Will they be a couple after this or even make Lele’s alibi come true..for to be his fiancee? ^^ Hehe, Eros will know soon that Lele gave up a huge modeling break for him. After everything that Lele has done until now, surely, Eros ought to know that she is ‘the one’ for him. ^^ As for Joe, he is an ultra-major jerk. He obviously didn’t turn off others because of his appearance and made the twins the center of attraction, it is his character that is really ugly. I’m kind of amused though over his presumption with Lele. I thought, he must be talking about Feidna. =P Oh..since he mentioned about Miranda, I guess Eros will tell Lele soon about the bullet scar. While Yukito goes to hammer some nails, Kotori pouts and thinks that she has this strange feeling whenever they touch. Then, she finds herself staring at Yukito’s lips where he put the nails. She slaps her face and tells herself not to think too much about it. “The kiss a while ago felt very special, when did it become like that? How could he suddenly become very mature? *sparkling Yukito* Geez, it is so sudden.. ..I.. am put in such a difficult situation just because of that kiss and I’m not talking about H yet.. Isn’t that something much deeper than that kiss.. Would I be able to take that? Won’t Yukito be disappointed? Generally, I think he would be disappointed whether we do it or not. But..” Her thoughts are interrupted when Yukito asks her about getting something to eat on the way home because he is hungry. Feeling a bit tense about the possibility of being alone with him, Kotori hesitantly agrees. They were interrupted when Abe jumps on Yukito’s back and exclaims if he heard about it. Yukito angrily tells him to get off him. Abe squeals and says that he is scared that he couldn’t go to the toilet alone. Yukito shouts that is disgusting and get off him. Abe happily insists that he is scared. After getting off Yukito, Abe tells him that he is scared of a ghost. Yukito says that he must be just mistaken. While Kotori is thinking that the topic has changed, her other classmates confirm that they had heard and seen this ghost. Abe says that it is a ghost that has three horns and black wings. Kotori looks surprised by that. Abe continues to say that it is a ghost in a white yukata and her hairstyle is like of some arrogant girl. Another guy says that ghost is carrying something long and slender. Abe says that could be a tentacle used to suck blood. Aghast Kotori thinks that should it be a whip and it seems that this kind of situation is quite familiar [/has happened before]. Yukito asks them if there is really such a ghost. Harada exclaims that she has seen that ghost with her own eyes and surely, it is jealous of her maid outfit that is why it came out. “It must be some female student ghost who died during cultural festival!” Everyone sheepishly smiles over what Harada said. Then, something drops. It is a wood plank and it made everyone go back to work so that they can finish quickly [and go home]. Yukito comments that Kotori is so quiet about the ghost. Thinking that it is because that ghost is her, Kotori just lamely says ya. It turns out that Yukito is imagining Kotori being scared and asking him to hug her, and he would hug her and says that it cannot be helped. Blushing Yukito thinks that he’ll just forget about that, and go back to work. Kotori freaks out when Harada suddenly calls out to her. Giving her a key, Harada tells Kotori that she wants her to be the last one to lock up the room after they are done. “Then, bring that key to the faculty’s room. *Kotori tries to timidly protest* Since you are not afraid, it should be no problem for you, right? *smiles* Remember to close the windows, too! I’ll leave it up to you ♡” Kotori tries to call her back but Harada is already walking away. Then, Kotori is surprised to see Yukito talking together with Natsume. Pointing to the side, outside of the room, Yukito tells Natsume that they go there.
Outside, at the corner of the corridor, Natsume tells Yukito that color [of his hair] won’t do at all. “If you want to become like Hikaru, you have to dye it like this. *holds a magazine with a poster for Doki Memo* You should also properly research about it. I’m going to lend this to you so don’t get it dirty.” Yukito says that he thinks that his hair is fine since it is comparatively the same. Natsume darkly asks him if he wants to do it or not. “If you want to do it, then do it with all your best.” This made Yukito says that he wants to, of course, he does. Holding a bag, Natsume says that she brought this Doki Memo’s outfit. “Try it when you get home. If it doesn’t fit, tell me about it. The shoes and the bag are also inside.” This made Yukito comment that she really prepared it thoroughly and she really likes this game. Kotori looks at them from the corner and wonders what they are talking about. “But, they look very happy. Yukito can actually laugh like that? What was it like when he was with me..” Touching Yukito’s hair, Natsume tells him to also cut it a bit and let the corner fringes[/bangs] a bit longer. They were surprised when Kotori exclaims in surprise. Kotori timidly apologizes for interrupting their conversation, but she has something to tell Yukito. Pushing the bag to Yukito, Natsume says that she’ll leave everything to him. “I believe in you, so you better do your best, okay?” Natsume waves goodbye and leaves. Kotori apologizes to Yukito for it seems like she is eavesdropping on him. Yukito says no, he doesn’t mind it. “Ah~ in order for you not to misunderstand things, let me say something first.. There is nothing between me and Ibuki. I’m only lending some things from her..” Kotori asks is that so. Flustered Yukito says yes. Kotori gloomily says is that so, that’s good. Yukito wonders if it is still about Natsume that is why Kotori wanted to tell him something, and right now, she is having that gloomy expression. Kotori says, “About that.. I feel that.. I might not be able to have H with you, Yukito.. *surprised Yukito goes ‘huh’* I don’t have the confidence.. Today, that kiss.. I was quite shocked by it.. and I unexpectedly felt that you have become mature. Moreover, I saw you, together with Natsume, and it made me lose my self-confidence.. I have no way of naturally touching you.. only with that kiss, it makes me totally at a loss.. I thought that Yukito is more compatible with Natsume, someone who is mature like that..”
Tense Yukito says, “No.. Nononono.. Wait.. wait a minute. I object! That way, I’ll be very perplexed. *holding Kotori’s shoulder* You- are making some sort of mistake, right? You are quite strange like this. It is also because you don’t understand. *Kotori says that he is hurting her so he lets go* Ah! Sorry about that.. *blush* ..how should I do it? I also do not know. It is like what happened just now. I’m not quite sure, how much strength to use.. Because you are so petite and delicate.. I also do not know how much strength I should use to hug you. Even if that is so, I still want to hug you, want to kiss you.. That.. *scratch head* Honestly speaking, I’m always thinking of how to make our relationship become better! And, worry, just like that kiss this noon, of whether or not, you’ll refuse it. I’m also quite distressed about it, and it is only because it concerns you. I also have not become mature.. with only just one look, one will know right? Then, you’re saying something that it would be better if it is with some mature girl, what’s up with that? It is because the other party is you, that is why I’m willing to do this. This little bit.. you should definitely understand it! *holding Kotori’s shoulders* You should understand me..” Kotori holds his hand and says, “..Yes. I’m sorry.. *smiles* Thank you..” They look at each other’s eyes. Kotori timidly tells him that until then, she might be a bit nervous and she doesn’t know if she can or cannot do it, but she will do her best. Clenching his fist, Yukito says that he will also do his best. Then, he hugs Kotori and thinks, “Ah-- she's so cute! See, I like this kind of frank and pure [/simple] type of cute. Remember that--” Kotori says that is too tight but Yukito pretends not to hear her. Soon, the two Kaji-s are smiling and laughing. Towards Natsume who is peeking at the two from the corner, someone suddenly says that it’s good that things went smoothly. Natsume turns around and says that it is Abe. Abe comments that like him, she is also worried about those two. Natsume didn’t answer because her expression suddenly looks aghast. Smiling Abe asks him what happened to her. He didn’t notice that there is a shadowy figure behind him who calls out, “Hey--”
Ah, it’s good that Kotori’s insecurity is quickly resolved and nothing beats an assurance from Yukito himself. That was really nice ^-^ It really helps that they talk about their ‘imagined’ problems rather than just guessing what the other is thinking/feeling. She has been jealous so she kissed him and, he thought that she is being proactive. Masaya’s advice is right. It is better to trend slowly with a girl like Kotori especially since simple romantic acts can be quite overwhelming for her. Yukito is really wonderful here especially since he is going to cosplay as Hikaru for her. Since the start, he has been adverse to this idea, and it is really nice he would do it now. ^-^ I find it amusing that they thought of Kotori as a real ghost. Since the rumor is going around about it, I wonder if Kotori will still dress up like how she did. I think Abe noticed the problem earlier between the two that he suddenly jumped on Yukito and mentioned about the ghost. He’s such a good friend, too ^^ As for Natsume, it seems that after their talk, she now approves more of Yukito because she is now cheering for him to do his best. Just when he is saying about immediately going in the house, Misao is already charging in. Her arms start to have burnt marks and she felt really hot inside. Continuing to think that this is just an illusion, she starts to cough because she is having a hard time breathing. Looking determined, she doesn’t want their future to become nothing. Then, a masked man [Nue] jumps in front of her. The man says that she is the ‘immortal fruit’, and if he can grab her, they can still.. Misao says no. Then, a force suddenly pushes the Nue away. She wonders if she did that..then she remembers that it is the child within her, who is protecting her. The Nue trembles and asks if she is with child. Then, furious Kyo slashes the Nue with his katana. Kyo’s lip and right forehead are bleeding. Kyo grabs her injured arm and exclaims what she is doing, that she got burnt severely. Misao tells him that it is just an illusion, and even if it hurts, it is okay..just like this house.. A couple of Nue charges at them but Sagami and Houki immediately finish them off. Houki says that they have to stop the enemies’ movements to make the illusion disappear. Everyone starts attacking the Nues and stop the ones from escaping. Seeing that Misao is trembling, Kyo holds her hand and assures her that it is okay, he won’t die first, leaving her and the child alone. Misao starts crying that she thought she won’t be able to see him again. Kyo notices that her wounds starts to disappear. While Misao cries that she is really scared, Kyo hugs her and says that she is too reckless. Afterwards, Sagami reports that there are 10 Nue who invaded the house. Two were killed, and unfortunately, the rest escaped. They have one live captive. Zenki says that until the end, this Nue captive doesn’t know when to give up and he won’t ask for forgiveness either. The Nue says that it is already over for even if they want to continue their clan, there is single woman left. Aside from taking the immortal fruit for them to reproduce, the Nue clan has no way of reviving.
He laments that if the immortal fruit gives birth, then, their last ray of hope is gone. Kyo asks what he meant by that, why is it hopeless if Misao has conceived. The Nue says that Kyo is always calling the immortal fruit, Misao. Then the Nue realizes something. He says that he heard news that the Tengu head sincerely loves the immortal fruit. He starts to laugh that it is actually true. Kyo is surprised when the Nue kept on laughing over a rumor which turned out to be true, and this is really great. Zenki quickly pushes the man down and asks what’s strange about that. Everyone feels uneasy when the Nue kept on laughing nonstop. To everyone’s surprise, the Nue says that they didn’t know the ending of the ‘Immortal Fruit Records’. The Nue continues to say that it is already impossible for their clan to revive but this thing really makes him feel a bit better. “Let me tell you. The moment that she gives birth to your child, your beloved immortal fruit would not be able to see the face of the child because she would have already died. Hahaha” Everyone is stunned. Sagami says that he is lying and it is meaningless to rattle them up. The Nue happily says that is true, it is meaningless so he isn’t lying. “If you don’t believe me, then go confirm it with the Kitsune. Even if you don’t believe me, it also doesn’t matter. *Kyo still looks stunned and someone is saying, ‘One day, you will regret'* Just be like this and wait for a few months, what’s left would only be the remains of the immortal fruit, whose strength [/energy] has been sucked dry by the child. Shout out and live long. This way, the Tengu will attain prosperity. And it will be in exchange for the life of your beloved girl! Ha ha ha” Narration: “Even in a happy dream[land], one also cannot have excessive hope.”
Poor Kyo..if that is true, that is really super awful. All this time of protecting Misao and everything that has happened, the one who ‘kills’ her is their child. No wonder when Misao saw them in the dream, she wasn’t around. I wonder though about what the Nue said about taking Misao for reproduction. What if the child is a boy, won’t it still be over with their clan? I guess, they can just hope that it is girl. ^^; Well, this is indeed one of the major cliche plot twist that usually happens in a situation like this. Child or mother..which one to save? Actually, they cannot abort the child because the baby is quite strong in protecting itself and its mother who seems to be its ‘host’. It might end up in a mess, and both child and mother will die. If the child is born, I wonder if Kyo can love the child because it was the direct cause of Misao’s death. He might change because of that. Of course, there is still the possible miracle of ‘changing fate’. That will depend if the author is going for a happy ending or a tragic one. At home, Sumi removes the heart ring and puts on Soichiroh’s ring. She smiles over it and hopes to see Soichiroh. To her surprise, Nozomu suddenly knocks on the door and asks if he can enter. This cases Sumi to panic. While removing the ring, Sumi says that right now, she.. Suddenly, she screams because she had dropped the ring. This made Nozomu come in and ask if she is okay. Sumi is freaking out because the ring falls near Nozomu’s feet. Relieved that Nozomu didn’t notice it, flustered Sumi says that it is nothing. Then, Nozomu sees his ring on the table. He asks her why she isn’t wearing it. Sumi quickly says that when changing clothes, it might get entangled so she removed it. Putting it on, she assures him that she is okay. Nozomu tells her that this weekend, he has a meeting at Hakone and does she want to join him. Sumi says yes. Smiling Nozomu is glad to hear that. Just when he is about to leave, Nozomu bids her good night and stops by at the door to darkly glare at the ring on the floor. Sumi calls out to him [if there is a problem] but smiling Nozomu says that it is nothing, and good night. When he goes out of the room, Nozomu loses the smile on his face again and walks away. Nozomu, Sumi and Komai have arrived in Hakone. They went to a hotel where the meeting will be held. Nozomu greets the beard man in English, and introduces Sumi as his wife. The beard man tells them that today, he brought an interpreter. To their surprise, it is none other than Soichiroh. Beard guy says that he had recently employed this business-minded young man. Sumi is delighted to see Soichiroh. Soichiroh smiles back at her. Nozomu notices all of this and he is very displeased. During dinner, after a toast, Sumi is happily looking at Soichiroh, and Nozomu is keeping a close eye on her. When he gulps up all the wine in his glass, beard guy exclaims that Nozomu can drink a lot. He starts pouring Nozomu another drink, and again, Nozomu drinks it all up in one go. Soichiroh looks a bit worried. After a lot of wine and beard guy having fun over this, Nozomu seems to have passed out. Soichiroh helps carry unconscious Nozomu to the room. Sumi comments that she didn’t imagine that Nozomu would drink a lot. Soichiroh asks if she is saying in the same room. Sumi says no, she is staying at some other room. Sumi then tells him that she is happy for she unexpectedly was able to see him there. Soichiroh says that it the same with him. Sumi takes out another necklace, aside from the pearl one, and shows him that she is always carrying his ring, and this way, it seems that they are always together. Soichiroh smiles over this. They were surprise when Nozomu groans. Soon, they bid each other goodbye. Since Nozomu groans again, Sumi goes to her to put a blanket on him. To her surprise, Nozomu suddenly grabs her hand and pushes her down on the bed. Nozomu tells her not to bring along some trash. He grabs her necklace with Soichiroh’s ring and says that anything that has been thrown away is trash. He pulls the necklace to break it off. Then, he starts forcing himself on her. Sumi exclaims that didn’t he said that he won’t touch her until he divorces Miu. Licking her neck, Nozomu tells her that thing no longer matters. “You are mine!”
Nozomu may be psycho and everything but there is one thing he is not, he is not dumb. He is really good in how he confirmed that there is still something between Sumi and Soichiroh, contrary to what she claimed. Sumi is doing a good job but unfortunately, she is too careless and emotional. She should have locked the door when putting on Soichiroh’s ring. She should also not give ‘I miss you/I’m happy to see you’ looks at Soichiroh in front of Nozomu. Those things will really trip off Nozomu and well, we all know about his mental state so it won’t be long before he snaps. Since he isn’t dumb and based on the current situation, Nozomu will no longer wait for that divorce before doing something to her. I am surprised at how easily Natsuki suddenly wants to help them. Did he made a reflection and wanted to get the company, at least, ‘within the family’ rather to an outsider like Nozomu? If they do get the company back to Soichiroh, and Nozomu is out of the way, is it a guarantee that Natsuki would not try to snatch the company for himself later on? This made me realize that the antagonists of this series can do really dastardly things and yet, all of a sudden, become good guys. ^^; If that can happen to them, I guess it could happen to Nozomu. After all, this is the guy who alternates with the leading guy for the volume covers of the series. =P Anyway, I’m glad that the author isn’t going to drag it out on how Soichiroh is going to climb back up again. Partly thanks to Nozomu, by the time that happens, Sumi would also become a more competent and useful wife for him. =P After dealing with this love triangle issue, I guess we will know about Sumi’s real identity later on. She suddenly remembers something. She calls out to Hinata and shows him her t-shirt. Hinata says that it is amazing that her classmates wrote supporting words when the number of t-shirts given, corresponds with the days of the competition. Anna says that the whole class wrote on them as well as Sou. “But, Sou said he is writing for you. He said, ‘Show it to Hinata’.. Ah, it’s this one.. this one.. *On the t-shirt, Sou has written, “8/18. I’m working.”* Hinata, do you know what it means? I totally felt that it isn’t some supporting.. *sees Hinata looking really glum and tense* Hinata?” Hinata thanks her for showing it to him. He tells her that they are leaving so she better keep her shirt well. Anna is totally puzzled over Hinata’s reaction and could it be that Hinata also doesn’t know what it meant. At the bus, Anna wonders out loud as to what’s with Aug 18th. Her friends help her think. Then, Aya says that this year’s fireworks display will be on Aug. 18th. Anna suddenly exclaims, “That’s it!!” Nanoka asks her what’s up all of a sudden. Anna explains that it is Sou’s supporting words, and he will be at work during the fireworks display. She tells them that every year, the three of them would go there to watch it together. She says that she doesn’t quite understand it since Sou’s parttime job doesn’t really matter. Aya giggles and says that is really like Sou’s style. “It might be not too easily understood but it definitely means to say, ‘This year, Hinata-kun and Anna-chan, the two of you, go watch the fireworks display together.’ *Anna looks surprised by this* Speaking of that, Anna-chan, yesterday, you and Hinata-kun sneaked out. I saw you guys~” Nanoka exclaims is that so. Nanoka happily asks if things went very smoothly. Anna is embarrassed as Aya congratulates her. After the conclusion of the xth Photo Koshien’s opening ceremony, Anna calls out to Hinata and tries to say something. She thinks that Hinata definitely understood Sou’s message about the ‘two of you, go watch the fireworks display together’, and she can read Hinata’s expression of absolutely not being happy about the two of them [together at the fireworks display?].
To her surprise, Hinata tells Anna that this year’s fireworks display, the two of them are going to watch them because Sou said that he has work. Anna tries to object but Hinata says that it cannot be helped for she and Sou are currently ‘keeping distance from each other’. Anna thinks is that so and no matter what, this year.. She is surprised when Hinata continues to say, “Or rather than ‘Anna’, I think Sou do not want to see me anymore.” Anna asks him if he is serious with what he said. Hinata didn’t reply. Anna feels like crying that she suddenly shouts, “Hinata, you’re such a fool, big idiot!! Natural Perm [curly hair]!!” Hinata looks surprised over being called ‘natural perm’. Anna is already running off. “Hate. I hate this. ‘awareness of betrayal’. Does it mean this? Even if my feelings with Hinata are mutual, right now, he cannot totally be happy. It is obvious that Hinata himself has been feeling that way. Why would he say that..” There is a scene of Hinata looking sad. At the street, Chiaki tells the girls that it is finally starting, Photo Koshien’s first stage. “The topic is ‘Encounter’. Has everyone thought properly of what style in photography you are going to use?” While Anna is looking glum, Aya says that since the topic is ‘encounter’, then she thinks that they should be taking pictures of people. Nanoka happily exclaims that no wonder it’s Aya [for thinking that]. When they ask her about her opinion, Anna snaps out of it and says, ‘ha’. Aghast Chiaki that her response shouldn’t be ‘ha’ and the competition is already starting. This shocks Anna and made her look aghast. Pointing at Anna, Nanoka tells her to concentrate a bit. Anna apologizes and mutters that it is more correct to say that she is the fool and big idiot. While Aya thinks that Nanoka could actually say that, Nanoka continues to tell Anna that they are already at this stage and why is she suddenly distressed about something. “It is starting, understand!?” Narration/Aya/Nanoka: “It’s impossible for all 3 of them to have a happy blissful ending!!” In a classroom, some students are happily saying that it is a camera, so take their picture. Long haired senpai is playing with the kids while the short haired senpai is holding up her camera in order for the kids not to grab it. Some kids are looking at Hinata checking his camera. Then, Hinata notices a sad-looking boy, alone by himself, looking at him, before looking at his book. Narration/Aya: “Even if both Hinata-kun and Nagase-kun likes Anna, there is only one Anna.” Hinata takes a picture of the boy holding his notebook, and the boy reminds him of his younger self.
Later on, it is the start of the public examination meeting and, Hinata’s group is first called onstage. As they head in front, some students are muttering that this will be broadcast on the internet. In a dark room, Sou is watching it on his computer. Then, Hinata’s senpai gives him the microphone. Hinata starts to speak, “The first stage’s topic is ‘Encounter’. We are in this town’s childcare center. And I encountered a small boy. Among the other lively kids, who want their pictures taken, there is a child who couldn’t blend in with the others, and just watches them from afar. But, one of the children notices this and pulled the hand of the boy to join the others. *Young Sou pulled young Hinata’s hand. Then, Sou called on the others that they are joining them.* In the end, this boy showed a smile.” Remembering Aya[?] saying that even if both Hinata and Sou likes her, Anna thinks, “..wrong. Right now, I am not in their eyes[sight]..” Hinata continues to say, “For the boy who pulled the other boy’s hand, this isn’t a big deal *Young Hinata smiling with young Sou* but for the boy who cannot blend in with others, encountering this boy is a very important and very precious thing.” Anna thinks, “The one that they are looking at, is..” When the announcer is saying that they are now going to look at the work of Hinata’s group, Anna suddenly stands up and holds up her hand to say, “I have an objection. *Hinata, and Anna’s groupmates look at Anna in shock* I think that is a very important thing. I also think that for the boy who pulled the other boy’s hand, it also, definitely made him happy to see that other boy smiling. The degree of it being precious [for that boy] won’t lose to that [other] boy!!!” While Chiaki and other faculty are surprised, Nanoka is already pulling Anna to sit down. Anna thinks, “Unexpectedly saying that Sou doesn’t want to see him [Hinata] again, how can such a thing be possible. Because I clearly knows it. Believe it, Hinata. *Hinata looks at Anna* Believe.” Hinata looks very touched by what she said.
That night, on a bench by the forest, Anna is looking aghast and tense. Hinata says that there are times, she is really amazing. Anna timidly apologizes for the inconvenience. Hinata says that it is okay with him but it would be good if they didn’t deduct points from Anna’s [high school] group. Anna gloomily says that is true. Taking out his cellphone, Hinata asks her if he can call Sou. Surprised Anna exclaims ya, yes. The phone rings and Sou answers it. Hinata asks if it is Sou. Sou greets Hinata a good job. “I just saw the public broadcast. The era of live broadcast in the internet is really amazing.” Hinata comments that he saw it. Sou says that it is super funny, the mood was, with everyone having that dumbfounded look. Hinata says, “There is something I want to say that I always wasn’t able to tell you, Sou. I like Anna.” Anna looks surprised by this. Sou answers, “......Eh- But then, isn’t it really late to say it? Saying it only now.” Hinata pauses and sweatdrops. He apologizes. Sou says, “Ah- I also know that it isn’t easy to say it. Sorry about that- Making you feel apprehensive with me.” Holding his head, Hinata says, “..no, I only do not want to be hated by you.” Flashback: While playing a console game, young Hinata asked Sou if playing with him is boring. Sou replied, “Ha? What do you mean by that? I think that playing with you, Hinata, is the most fun of all.” End flashback. Still sitting in front of the computer, Sou answers, “..Hinata, I’m not blaming you, nor do I feel that you have betrayed me. *A tear falls down Hinata’s cheek* It isn’t possible for me to hate you.” Hinata replies, “..ya, thank you for saying that.” Anna looks at Hinata and thinks that she couldn’t hear it very clearly what the two are talking about. She decides to let it go even if she doesn’t quite know the two’s conversation. While Anna is smiling, a familiar woman silhouette is approaching the two. Anna is surprised when Mari bends down to her ear and says, “Koshiro-chan?” Hinata looks surprised to see Mari at the corner of his eye. As the moon is peeking out of the clouds, Mari, who isn’t smiling like before, asks, “What are you doing here? You and Tokura-kun, the two of you.”
First of all, I really love this childhood friend-love triangle. ^-^ They really do know each other very well and whenever someone doubts the other, one of them would quickly..or sooner or later, patch things up and tell the doubting one that it isn’t true = their friendship is still there; no one is hated. This time around, it is Anna helping the two boys. Hinata is obviously going on a major guilt trip that he starts to doubt Sou and hide something very important from him. Sou knows this already and he even said the things that Hinata really wants to hear – he’s not betraying him and he won’t hate him for this. I think that is pretty amazing and it really touched Hinata’s heart especially since he is basically telling Hinata that even if this happened, he is still his best friend for life. ^-^ It is also nice that Sou is watching it on the internet because it seems that he is also there when both Hinata and Anna said those things. ^-^ Still, even if Hinata and Anna’s relationship might make Sou feel ‘outside’ of the group, I hope that after some time, they will continue to celebrate the things that they always do together which are Sou’s birthday, and watching the fireworks display. It is also interesting to note at how well Aya knows Sou. Aside from Hinata, Aya could read the true meaning of Sou’s message. I would really like her to end up with Sou..of course, Nanoka would probably oppose from the start. =P Now, Anna is accomplishing her goals for this trip = to know Hinata’s feelings, and pass Sou’s message/reconcile the two which would enable her to be in speaking terms with Sou again. What’s left is the Mari problem. At first, I thought that Hinata should say it clearly with Anna about the thing with Mari when she asked about it. On second thought, probably, for Hinata, Mari is really no big deal and he doesn’t want Mari to ruin this moment with Anna. He is already struggling with the perceived hatred and betrayal of Sou, so Mari is probably the last thing on his mind. I never thought to see Mari creepier than this. Hm..it is quite scary that she no longer has that fake-looking smile. The reasons I’m thinking as to why she isn’t smiling anymore is because Hinata told her to stop touching him, what happened at the discussion meeting, and now, seeing the two together at night. I find it really odd that she is asking the question to Anna, instead of Hinata, her own student. It doesn’t seem to be the right reaction for a teacher, who catches her student sneaking out with a girl. I’ve notice that Mari would always ask that question, ‘Why is Koshiro-chan here’ when they are together. I don’t think she is stupid to not know the reason why those two are always seen together. Because of how Mari reacted here, I’m beginning to think that there is a reason why Hinata would act cold with Anna whenever Mari is around. Is it to pretend that they don’t have a very close relationship or else, Mari would cause some major trouble? Could it be that Mari has a thing for Hinata? From before, Mari likes to play cupid to make girls confess to Hinata, fully knowing that they will be dumped. I wonder if it is Mari’s twisted way of making herself feel important that she ‘has’ Hinata and no one else does. I’m thinking that she knows Anna likes Hinata but unlike the others, she doesn’t seem to encourage it. It is also Mari who seems to have suggested for Hinata to transfer school. Was she taking full advantage over Hinata’s vulnerability at that time = guilt trip and wanting Sou to be with Anna? Is it to monopolize him? Hm..for Mari to always appear at certain times when they are together and for her to work again in Hinata’s school..is she some sort of stalker? Whatever it is, I guess, we will know about it soon enough. Lastly, I’m hoping that Sou hasn’t hanged up the phone yet because I want him to hear whatever Mari said/will say. =P I want him to be more active again in this series rather than always looking depressed at the side. To her surprise, Rennosuke goes to Takamichi and holds his shoulder. Rennosuke tells him that he apologized already and there is no need for him to be that angry since for now, it went according to plan. Hana is puzzled by this, Takamichi exclaims what went according to plan, weren’t the time to deal with those guys suppose to be a bit longer. Rennosuke says that he is wrong, and it is because he came late. Takamichi says that he isn’t late, because he came, according to the time, they’ve planned on. Hana is still puzzled over what’s going on. As some guards/police arrive at the scene, Takamichi says that it was difficult for him to call the Omon gate guards to come and catch the criminals red-handed. Hana asks Rennosuke that, isn’t that man plotting to kill him, and maybe she is mistaken but it seems that they have a very good relationship. Takamichi asks why Hana is there. Rennosuke tells her that he thought that it doesn’t have anything to do with her so he didn’t tell her but it seems to be a waste of effort. Just when he is about to tell her about their relationship, Gonpachi who was held by the gate guards, exclaims to Takamichi as to what is going on. Takamichi says that it is nothing, just him [Gonpachi], the mastermind in plotting to kill the son of the Kyoumatsu’s enterprise, and his accomplices, got caught in one net. Takamichi adds that they are now delivered to the [government] guards though acting out a play. “Even if it is an unsuccessful murder attempt, but you, and those guys lying over there, apparently have some other crimes. If you guys are put in jail, you won’t be able to get out for a short while.” Gonpachi is surprised that it was an unsuccessful attempt. Takamichi tells him that he still didn’t realize that the man standing there [Rennosuke] is the one, whom he [Gonpachi] racked his brains, to steal the store from. “The son of Kyoumatsu House, Rennosuke-sama.” While Hana is surprised, Gonpachi exclaims that is impossible for he got the obituary notice from the store’s capital. Holding up some tags, Takamichi says that in order for Gonpachi to lower his guard, they had made up some evidence and if he still doubts, he [Takamichi] can show him the gate pass promissory note. [In Edo, they usually carry one’s proof of identity along with the gate pass.] Rennosuke tells Gonpachi that he is so simple-minded that he wants to laugh. He says that it is actually a good plan to attack him, while he is on his way at night, but the one who fell down that cliff wasn’t him, but his attendant. “It is because the whole surrounding is so dark, the assailants mistook that person for me, and pushed him down the cliff.. What a blockhead.. Haha *Gonpachi looked totally aghast and shock* For the time being, I’ve let you play around as you wish, and I guess this is already enough. Can you give my store back to me?” While the guards take Gonpachi away, he shouts, ‘No..’ Rennosuke comments that he is lively fellow. After being shocked by all this, Hana exclaims why he didn’t tell her. Muttering that her expression looks scary, Rennosuke tells her that if he tells her, she might leak the information and that will be really bad. Scowling and pouting, Hana asks if her tone of speech isn’t strict [/she cannot keep a secret].
Rennosuke says that isn’t the problem, for even if she knew, she would blindly and impulsively does things. “I didn’t think that you would do it up to this extent. Or, perhaps, I’m negligent. Really.. *angrily grabs aghast Hana’s head* Because you look as if you are not a girl from Yoshiwara that I’m still worrying about you. And in the end of all ends, you still rushed to this place! I already told you not to be reckless! Even if you got involved and I got hurt, you also won’t be able to help me!” Hana looks surprised by this. Then, she apologizes and says that it seems that she is like this from the start because it is her nature to dash and go out when she has decided on something. She thinks that grandpa had also always told her that she should consider things before acting. Hana tells him that in the end, no matter what is said, she is very concerned. Rennosuke looks at Hana’s feet to see that they are badly bruised from running barefoot. He mutters that he really doesn’t know what to do with her. To Hana’s surprise, Rennosuke suddenly carries her. She exclaims what he is doing. He tells her that he told her before that he doesn’t hate a person like her. Slightly blushing, Hana says, ha. Takamichi is surprised that Rennosuke is planning to bring Hana back, and why not just send her to the others to get her out of Yoshiwara. Rennosuke says that in the end, Hana has also helped in arresting those guys so they cannot just let her feet’s wounds untreated. While Rennosuke is carrying her, Hana thinks that she always has this strange feeling. “All of a sudden, I’m at this bewildering place. And, honestly speaking, I’m very uneasy..even if I told myself not to think too much.. But, this guy’s arms are very warm that it seems to make me calm down..” Hana fell asleep. She dreams of a crying woman apologizing to her for not being able to protect her but she.. Thinking that it is her mother, Hana ‘sees’ the woman putting the flower decorated hair pin on the baby’s hand. Looking down on the baby, the crying woman says that no matter what, she still hopes that she [baby] can live on. End dream. Hana wakes up from the dream and finds herself lying down on a futon in a room. She sits up and wonders where she is. She realizes that she has fallen asleep and her feet are already bandaged. She thinks that it has been such a long time since she had dreamt of her mother. Wondering why it is so noisy, she goes out of the room. While some women mutter that Hana is still around, Hana looks down to see Rennosuke and Takamichi acting very busy while ordering the staff around. Rennosuke is telling the servant to re-do the wrong name written on the customers’s chopsticks. Takamichi is telling another servant that he brought the wrong seasonal [standing] screen. Rennosuke tells Takamichi to first go check the newly bought three person bed, and afterwards, the raw ingredients for the food, and tidy up the account book. Takamichi tells him that he did those things already and compared to that, is the Tamagiku lantern already prepared for this morning, the agent of the Yoshiwara Head will be coming by. [Tamagiku Lantern Festival is an important festival in Yoshiwara which originated from a eulogy of a young courtesan named Tamagiku who died young. The brothels would hang up lanterns on certain days in July. Source: Japanesegallery.co.uk] Rennosuke asks if that means, that not only the teahouse, but also the brothel has to participate. [Teahouse is usually for negotiating/front of the brothel]
Takamichi tells him that it is a formal festival wherein each and every store are asked to prepare a Tamagiku lantern. Rennosuke complains that it is obvious that because of Gonpachi, the store already doesn’t have money so are they going to find some room to lease.. Hana thinks that those guys are really managing this place, and even if she doesn’t know what they are talking about, but it looks like they are very busy. Then, someone says that she is already awake. It is Akesato and Natsu. Natsu says that Hana unexpectedly really came back and she is really surprising her, more and more. Akesato laughs and says that Natsu is being difficult with when she obviously really likes Hana-chan. Blushing Natsu denies it. They ask Hana about her feet. Hana says that they are okay, just some abrasions. Akesato says that she heard that Hana helped Natsu this time around and she doesn’t know how to thank her because it is brought about by her [Akesato] lie. After Akesato tells Hana that she is ashamed over her superficiality, Natsu exclaims that she already told her that she did it on her own will and how many times does she have to say it. Hana exclaims that Akesato didn’t do anything wrong because anyway, she tends to do things as she pleases, so sorry about that. They were interrupted when they overheard Rennosuke exclaiming what happened to the gathered money from the teahouse. As the three look at Rennosuke, Natsu says that she is quite surprised because she didn’t expect that person to be the real owner. Hana comments that it turns out that no one knew. Akesato agrees that it is surprising and even if she knew about Takamichi, she seems to have never seen the young master. They were surprised when Takamichi suddenly goes to them and calls out to the ‘girl over there’ to come with him for he has something to talk with her. Hana timidly points to herself and asks if he is referring to her. In a room, Takamichi gives Hana a small bag. Hana thinks that even if she knows that Takamichi is a good guy but she is still afraid of him. Hana asks him what this is about. He tells her that it is money and with that, she can quickly get out of Yoshiwara. Hana tensely asks if she can’t stay there and do some odd jobs type of work, something like a hired help. She tells him that even if she leaves there, she has no place to go to. Takamichi sighs and says that since it is like that, does she have anything that will prove her identity. Aghast Hana says, about that.. Takamichi says that he doesn’t ignore her relationship with the store but he cannot let someone with an unknown identity to stay there. “Can you understand what I’m trying to say?” Hana thinks that is true. Then, Rennosuke comes in and tells him not to decide things on his own, without informing the owner. Hana happily calls out his name. While Rennosuke sits with them, Takamichi asks if he has some business here and does he plan to hire this girl. Rennosuke says that before that, speaking of identity, there is something he wants to ask her.
He takes out Hana’s bow tie. Hana exclaims that it is hers. Holding it up, Rennosuke says that it is made of a strange material so he got some people to investigate it so is this something from her hometown. Wondering what of it, Hana admits that it is true. Rennosuke tells her that it seems like silk but it is quite waterproof and doesn’t have the sound of silk fabric. “The extendable belt [garter] is also something that no one has seen before... If you say that this is from your homeland, then where do you come from?” This surprises Hana that she wonders what to do, and would he believe if she told him. A bit tense, Hana says that she might not be able to explain it clearly. Later on, holding a cup of tea, Takamichi declares that Hana is lying. Rennosuke tells Takamichi that it is too early to jump into that conclusion though he admits that it is quite bizarre. Takamichi insists that it is definitely a made-up lie for Hana to be from some future era. Pouting Hana darkly thinks that is true because she also couldn’t believe it but aside from this, she has no way of explaining it. Rennosuke tells Takamichi that if it is true, that would explain the outfit. Takamichi says that it is now explained, so what now. Rennosuke says that whether it is true or not, can he sleep soundly after throwing out this girl who isn’t well-versed about the world. “And, she also mentioned that she is... looking for her mother’s memento in Yoshiwara.” As Hana looks surprised, Takamichi scowls and asks if he means.. Rennosuke tells Hana that she already knows that this store is already heavily in debt because of Gonpachi and even if they need staff, the store cannot pay high wages. “If you don’t need a reward, then there is no problem offering you shelter here, right?” Hana looks surprised and Takamichi scowls. While Takamichi grumbles, Hana happily exclaims that she’ll leave it to him. Hana is really happy because now, she can concentrate in looking for her mother’s memento. While walking in the street with Rennosuke, Hana says that yesterday, she passed by there. He tells her that brothel street [where there are many high class yujo] is nearby but lately, aside from brothels, there are other stores setting up there. Happily bending her elbow, Hana asks what her first odds job is, is it to carry luggage. Rennosuke says no, it’s helping him obstruct women and it is okay for her to just be there with him or else, he cannot do things [errands] on his own. Hana notices some yujo-s scowling and complaining that Rennosuke has a girl. Rennosuke tells her not to be lost in thought and look around for the memento while walking because if she didn’t get it back, she won’t be able to return to her original era. This surprises Hana because it is something that she couldn’t believe herself, and yet he believed it, so he is really such a nice guy. At a store, Rennosuke looks at a kimono and says that it is really nice. The owner says that he has sharp eyes and that is the newly arrived dyed kimono. Hana happily exclaims that it is a very beautiful Kaga Yuzen and she likes the color. [Yuzen refers to a traditional technique of dyeing silk fabrics for kimonos or products made with the technique. Puzzled, Rennosuke asks her what this Kaga Yuzen is. Hana says that it seems that it isn’t called that yet in this era but in her era, yuzen that doesn’t have gold leaf [beaten gold decoration/threads] and embroidery are called Kaga Yuzen. She tells him that this kimono is dyed so it is a special one of a kind kimono. Seeing him staring at her, Hana asks what it is. Rennosuke says no, he only felt that it is quite unexpected that there would also be kimono in her place because he thought they all normally wear that strange outfit, unless she is the only one who wears it. Hana says no, everyone wears that but because she stays at her grandpa’s place where satin kimono is sold, that is why she knows a bit about it. She also tells him that few people wear kimono. Rennosuke says if that is so, then he has a lot of things that he would ask her because in his hometown, they are also engaged in satin business. Hana says is that so. Rennosuke remembers that he is there to buy a lantern so he tells Hana to wait there for him. Hana says okay. She looks around the rental store and finds the things there very interesting. Then, she notices a box of hairpins at a cabinet. An old saleslady asks her if she wants to look at it. Hana takes a peek and she finds the flower hairpin in it. While Hana couldn’t believe that it is there, the saleslady tells her that it is quite rare for a hairpin to be decorated with jade. Rennosuke is surprised when Hana exclaims that she has found it. He goes to her and asks her what happened since she is shouting out loud. Holding the flower hairpin, Hana exclaims that she has found it, it is this one. Rennosuke looks surprised that he quickly holds her wrist and says, that is.. This surprises Hana that she wonders what is it. Rennosuke nervously asks if that is really hers. Hana says yes. She thinks that even if it isn’t a phone strap, and she doesn’t know why it became a hairpin, but from the time she was born, she always had this thing so she couldn’t have made a mistake about it. Then, an oiran[/courtesan], who is breathing hard from running, arrives at the store. She calls out to the owner and the owner recognizes her as the tayuu of Mitubaya. He asks her what it is. The tayuu says that a young girl had mistakenly pawned her hairpin. She asks him if the jade decorated hairpin is still in the store. The owner says that if it is that, then, that customer has it. The tayuu turns around to see Hana holding the hairpin. Hana looks surprised and thinks that it is strange for it seems that she has seen that woman before. When the tayuu nervously asks why s/he is there, Hana recognizes her and says that ‘no..may I ask..I..’ Rennosuke replies, “It has been a long time. Utae-- no, I should call you Takitzuki..” While Hana is surprised by this, Rennosuke takes the hairpin from her and goes to Takitzuki. Returning it to Takitzuki, Rennosuke says that he was quite shock to see it there. Takitzuki thanks him. Hana exclaims for him to wait for that is hers. Rennosuke tensely calls her name. Hana insists that it is hers. She tells him to look at the back of the flower, hers is missing a sepal. Takitzuki says that it is true, it is missing a sepal. Just when Hana is happy about this, Takitzuki takes something from her kimono and says that it is because she was careless yesterday and it broke off. Takitzuki fits the missing sepal and tells Hana that it fits perfectly. Hana looks surprised by this for Takitzuki said that she broke it yesterday but that hairpin is definitely hers, so does it mean that her mother’s memento is originally from Yoshiwara. Blurb: “The original owner of her mother’s memento is Takitzuki?!”
So, the hairpin is indeed from Yoshiwara just like I guessed. Hm..so, it is a one way trip to the past or only good for a round trip? Because the original hairpin already exists there, Hana’s hairpin disappeared? It does make me wonder if Hana will ever return to her original timeline or she will be stuck there and just start to live her new life there. Also, it is confirmed that Hana’s grandpa is in the kimono business and what a coincidence, Rennosuke’s family is in that, too. So, if she does stay there, she can be of use to him..aside from keeping pesky courtesans away. =P Now, I’m really hoping that Hana doesn’t have any blood relationship with Rennosuke..like him being her father. ^^;; He knows Takitzuki, and I get a feeling that he was the one who gave that hairpin to her. They seem to have a past relationship..childhood friends/former sweethearts? If Takitzuki didn’t give away the flower pin to anyone, she could be Hana’s mother. This also explains why Hana appeared in front of Takitzuki’s oiran parade. That flower hairpin is their connection. And, maybe, she is found as a baby near where grandpa is, because he is into the silk kimono business. Hm..could grandpa be Rennosuke’s future ancestor? And, I was right about my hunch that it was an entrapment. ^^ I wonder if this is the end of Gonpachi or he will come back later on for revenge. Takamichi seems to be the typical strict guy companion to the leading man but, he is quite capable. Everything seems to be just an introduction to everything because I still cannot figure out as to what the story is really about. From the advertisement of the new volume shown above, which will be out on Dec 26th, the full cast hasn’t been introduced yet. Fufu..it seems that everyone are all paired up =P But, the story’s pacing is quite good since Hana already found her hairpin..well, the original one before she got it when she was a baby. Leaning close to her, Umenosuke asks why she is so uneasy, could it be that she has fallen for him. Hana blushes and exclaim in surprise while telling him not to stay too close. Umenosuke says that he is just joking. Before leaving the room, Umenosuke says that he will be leaving that place tomorrow and there is no need for her to be that worried. The next day, looking out the second floor window, Hana thinks that even if it isn’t a problem that she should be concerned about, but it makes her realize how dangerous this place is. She wonders if Umenosuke will really be okay since he seemed to be very easy-going. Then, she heard a girl exclaiming for someone to let her go. Hana looks down to see a girl with Gonpachi who is thanking some samurai for their help. The girl tries to say something but Gonpachi urges her to go into the store. After the girl is inside, Gonpachi gives the two samurai a bag of money and says that things went smoothly today, and it is all thanks to their help. The two men laugh. Hana recognizes the two samurai who attacked her before [first chapter] and why is Gonpachi giving them money, what is this money about. She realizes that those two men have been threatening girls, then, Gonpachi will pretend to be a good person helping them and in the end, with flowery words, he will trick the girls to become yujo. This made Hana furious that she angrily stomps on the floor. This surprises Gonpachi and others who were below that floor. Thinking that Gonpachi has always been doing this, Hana decides to confront and stop Gonpachi but it was Akesato who called out Gonpachi’s attention for him to give this up because it isn’t good to get the owner to be acting like some pimp. While Akesato is trying to tell him that even if he does that kind of thing.., Gonpachi interrupts and says that even if she is the ‘leading lady’ of the store, she hasn’t been able to make a lot of money so she doesn’t have the right to say that to him. He also insinuates that it is her fault that is why he is in trouble right now. He is surprised when Akesato frowns. She tells him that just now, she wrote to her close rich customers to ask them to come to the store tonight so for them to not prepare anything up to now, is that okay with him. Gonpachi calls her stupid for not telling him earlier. He then orders his staff to prepare. While the prospective victim quickly gets out of the store, Natsu [formerly Natsuki] exclaims that Akesato has really said it. Akesato smiles and says yes, for she could do this, lie without hesitation. This shocks Hana and tells Akesato to wait for if she lied, won’t she be beaten up when it has been found out. Akesato says that even so, she thinks that what she did is right. This surprises Hana.
Akesato smiles and says that upon seeing how brave Hana is, in all things, she also wants to become someone like her, and since she [Akesato] is someone who doesn’t have a future, she doesn’t want to have any regrets [in life]. Hana is a bit puzzled by what she said. Akesato also says that it will be hard for someone like Hana to survive in Yoshiwara so it is much better for her to quickly leave this place. Before leaving, she tells Hana that even if she [Hana] has no place to go, Umenosuke can help put in a good word for her so she ought to leave together with Umenosuke. Hana tries to protest for Akesato will pay dearly if this is discovered but Natsu confronts her by telling her to quickly go. Natsu says that Hana is always stirring up trouble for if she wasn’t here, Akesato would definitely have not disobeyed the owner. Natsu admits that she also hates the owner and would want him to just quickly die but even if that happens, they have no choice but to continue on surviving in that place. She tells Hana that it is okay for her to say such things and have that kind of feeling [towards them], but those are totally of no help to them. While walking outside with Hana, Umenosuke asks why Hana looks so glum. Hana says that it is nothing but rather, she is just thinking if she hasn’t been fully considering things. Umenosuke says perhaps, for actually the things she said are all correct but within Yoshiwara, it isn’t definitely a correct answer. He tells her that those girls have no place to go and she shouldn’t get involved with them for her goal is to find her mother’s memento. He advises Hana to leave first just like what those girls said, or else, she might not find it [memento] if she does it after earning money to buy herself out of that ‘sell one’s body’ contact. [<- I don’t recall Hana entering into this contract ^^; so maybe it is just Umenosuke’s assumption] Hana grabs his sleeve and asks if they can get the owner and the others arrested. Umenosuke goes ‘huh’. Hana exclaims that won’t everything be perfectly resolved if that owner isn’t around. He tells her that it isn’t that simple and why is she meddling into dangerous things, when it would be fine for her to just come along with him to get out of there. Then, Hana says that is right, they are after his life so it would be better for him to quickly get out. She apologizes for saying things so hastily. She waves goodbye and says that she will go by herself and think on how to do it. This shocks Umenosuke that he exclaimed why it ended like that. Holding his head, he says that she is really strange for it seems she isn’t afraid of anything. Hana admits that she is afraid but if she is captured by some people, whether it is him or Akesato, they will help her, thus she thinks that it would be better for her to do something. After looking surprised, Umenosuke holds her wrist to stop her, and tells her to come along with him. They didn’t notice that Takamichi is eavesdropping on them at the corner of the building.
At a store, Hana is screaming for pervert Umenosuke to let her go. Umenosuke says that she’s too noisy, and just be quiet. He is pulling an obi [/belt of a kimono] on Hana that she asks him where he is touching her. He tells her not to move, or else the clothes would loosen up. He is unsatisfied with the obi that he tells the store owner to give him a black-red obi. With onlookers behind, Umenosuke is quite satisfied over Hana’s new kimono outfit. Hana still couldn’t believe that she was just dressed up by a guy. Umenosuke pushes a letter on her face and tells her to bring it to the store when she gets there. Untying his hair, he says that it is a request to make her into servant who does miscellaneous work, instead of being a yujo. He adds that the owner might not take it serious but Akesato had asked him to help Hana escape so he doesn’t want her to go empty handed. Hana sparkles over this. She says that he noticed everything and she really feels apologetic. She thanks him for the kimono for it is a big help and this way, she won’t be so conspicuous and be chased after by people. Umenosuke laments that she is so naive for doesn’t she understand that he won’t be going back to that store and does she know that implication of that. Sparkling Hana says that it is alright, she will think of a way on her own to help Akesato and others, and she’ll show him. Umenosuke ends up giggling that Hana asks if he is treating her as a fool. He tells her that it isn’t like that but then, he doesn’t hate her being like that. Puzzled, Hana thanks him again. He tells her that he is warning her not to fool around and cause trouble because he couldn’t help her anymore but then, it might not happen since he helped her change into those clothes. Just when Umenosuke is about to take his leave, Hana tells him to wait for she wants to know his real name. Umenosuke says that didn’t he already tell her that it is Umenosuke. Hana says that it is because Akesato said that it isn’t his real name so she is a bit curious about it. She tells him that he has helped her a lot and she wants to know the name of her benefactor. Umenosuke says that there isn’t much difference with his real name. Since Hana insists, Umenosuke says that it is Rennosuke. [Ume = plum. Ren = lotus] Before leaving, he tells her not to tell anyone about it. Hana thinks that it is really not much different from Umenosuke. She wonders if he will be alright. That night, one of the owners’ men hit Natsu and asks if Akesato lied up sending that letter to the clients. After a pause, Natsu says that Akesato didn’t lie for she did wrote it, but she [Natsu] tear up the letter and throw it away. The man raises his hand to hit her again but Hana kicks him away and throws the Umenosuke’s letter on Gonpachi’s face. =P
Hana exclaims that didn’t she tell them not to do that kind of thing. Natsu is shock to see Hana. Hana asks if she is alright. Natsu exclaims in disbelief that she came back when Akesato had already twice.. Reading the letter, Gonpachi asks what kind of joke is this and it is okay for him not to mind it since Umenosuke won’t be coming back to their store. He tears up the letter and says that girls won’t be able to do anything. The two samurai arrive and ask if they are busy. Gonpachi exclaims that they are late. The two just casually apologize. While Hana recognizes the two, Gonpachi tells them that it will be as what they talked about this morning, and he’ll leave it up to them. They ask him where the man is right now, is he outside [of Yoshiwara]. Takamichi goes in the room and says that person is still in Yoshiwara because not a long while ago, someone saw him in Kyomachi street. Hana thinks that they are talking about Rennosuke and that he is still in Yoshiwara. Hana mutters about him not leaving yet. Takamichi notices this and tells her that for her own safety, it would be better for her not to think of doing something funny. He tells Gonpachi to lock up the two on the second floor temporarily while they talk about the aftermath. While Hana is worried about Rennosuke being in danger if he wasn’t warned about this, Gonpachi tells the two samurai not to fail. The two samurai just say to leave it to them. After being locked up, Hana comments that the door won’t open. Natsu asks her what’s going on. She tells him that Ren..no, even if she doesn’t quite understand it but Umenosuke seems to be targeted by those guys. This made Natsu exclaims that things are bad then. Hana asks is that so. She wonders what to do if calling out from the window for help will do but then.. After looking at Hana, Natsu takes out the bars from the window. She tells Hana to get out and warn Umenosuke. Hana declines for she won’t be at ease to leave her there and Umenosuke seems to be very amazing so it should be no problem for him. Natsu exclaims for her to quit chattering and just quickly go. She says that even if she isn’t clear as to what’s going on but that guy is also her and Akesato’s benefactor so how could she just let him be killed with her eyes wide open. Hana relents and climbs down the window using a long cloth. To Hana’s surprise, Natsu is pulling up the cloth robe. Natsu tells her that if she manages to warn Umenosuke about it, she is to leave Yoshiwara this time around. Hana says no, she will come back because in the end, she cannot just be at ease and leave them there. Natsu is in totally disbelief that she exclaims that Hana is a fool and she can just do whatever she wants. Hana exclaims okay. While Hana is running and hoping that Rennosuke will be alright, a couple of guys with hoods on their face, and carrying katana, calls out to Umenosuke to stop. Umenosuke turns to look at them.
Hana is really lucky to have found nice people who would help her without asking anything in return. It could also be because Hana herself is also selflessly helping them. Grandpa really brought her up well. What she did also made those girls think of doing what is right even if they will pay dearly and it probably to the cost of their lives. I guess for them, they don’t have nothing to lose except their miserable life, and more to gain by doing this. In this story, I think Hana manages to do things up to this extent, even if it can be quite reckless, is because Gonpachi is quite busy with his debts, and well, she is highly favored by Umenosuke, the client, to pay a close attention to her. It makes me wonder what Rennosuke’s business is, that Takamichi would go as far as to try to kill him. Is it kimono business because he knows how to dress Hana up? If I was right about Hana’s grandfather being in the kimono business, maybe, that is the connection between her and Rennosuke. Hehe..even if Hana is adopted. ^^; Also, for Rennosuke to be so calm and everything upon knowing the threat on his life, he must be used to it and he probably can defend himself just like what he did in chapter 1 before. I wonder if catching those would-be assassins to confess on the crime and attempted murder, Gonpachi would then be arrested just like Hana would have wanted. Still, I don’t know how it works in that place because some other owner might just take over the store which makes Akesato and others still trap there. If this happens, the one who might take over is Takamichi. I’m still wondering if Takamichi is really a bad guy or he and Rennosuke are just working on some entrapment for Gonpachi. Well, maybe Takamichi is doing it independently. I’m not concluding him as a bad guy yet because Akesato seems to know him personally and they seem to have some sort of history together. Well, Hana finally got a new outfit to match the era, and I wonder if she can really do something to help Rennosuke..or, it will be all over by the time she arrives there. ^^; Lastly, Rennosuke looks great in the cover page. =P Scans by 不良汉化组

Tsubaki protests that it is because even if he studies in Tokyo, in the end, their goals are different so she thinks that they also cannot be together like this right now. “If it is like that, even if we don’t see each other too much, I still ought to send you off to properly study in Kyoto where your dream professor is. I felt that doing this is for the best. *flustered and teary-eyed* I won’t say it.. That I actually felt very lonely.” Kyouta quickly hugs her and says, “Ah.. –geez, so.. I..you..” Just when they are about to kiss, his cellphone starts to ring. They break apart and Tsubaki says that it is already an hour, so he should quickly go back to work. She isn’t finished talking but Kyouta is already kissing her deeply. Then, he goes for her neck and lies her down on the sofa. He tells her that he really doesn’t want her to go. Tsubaki says, ya, she also doesn’t want to either. Tsubaki seems to be saying ‘no, no’ then the two starts laughing. After they prepare to leave, Kyouta bids her goodbye. Tsubaki says that she’ll see him in school. Then, when she is going out of the door, Kyouta calls out to her. She turns around and hears a ‘clicking’ sound. She asks what that sound is. Kyouta says that until now, they haven’t been sending mms [Multimedia Messaging Service to each other] and the result is quite good. Tsubaki is horrified to see her lame-sleepy picture on Kyouta’s phone. Tsubaki shouts for him to quickly delete it. Kyouta laughs and says that right now, she is wide-awake. While Tsubaki is midway in getting his phone, Kyouta closes the flip of his cellphone and says that he has decided that from today on, he will keep her interesting MMS [/pictures]. “During the days when we can’t see each other, you take a picture of yourself and send it to me.” Tsubaki says what, who would that kind of thing. She thinks that she also wants his picture. Blushing, she tells him that if she does that, he also has to send a picture back..and it will be okay if she takes a picture. To her surprise, Kyouta says how can he do it, taking a picture of oneself, that is such a thick-skinned face [/shameless] thing to do. Tsubaki angrily shouts that if it is like that, she also won’t do it. To her irritation, Kyouta takes her picture at that moment and says, “Nice- hostile face ☆” =P Holding her hands together, she says that she feels that this is good for them to mutually send MMS to each other so she’ll try it out. Kyouta comments that she is unexpectedly very narcisstic. This made Tsubaki shout that wasn’t it a mutual sending of one’s own picture.
She dreamily says that something like a beautiful sunset, tasty food, or insignificant things will be okay. “Even if I can’t see you, but if I can make you see the same things, doesn’t it feel like.. you are at my side..*sparkles*” Kyouta rains on her parade by saying that if it is like that, why not just call, and it’s very boring if the face can’t be seen in the photo. Suddenly, they were interrupted by the boss who shouts at Kyouta that his break time is already over a while ago. Taking the box of cake, Kyouta thanks her for it and bids her goodbye. Tsubaki just looks flustered as he left. That night, while reading study guides for Seigu University, Kyouta gets a message. He exclaims that Tsubaki really sent it. The message reads: “Thinking of next year, I’m very happy that I will be able to give you this projector. If you want to see it, tell me. Thank you for specially freeing your break time [at work]. I happily wish that you’ll have a beautiful year.” Kyouta scrolls down to see the picture. He then bursts into laughter. At school, Kyouta goes upstairs and greets some girls a good morning. Then, he overhears someone saying that she wasn’t able to take a good picture of it. Kyouta finds Tsubaki at the sink, trying to take a picture. He smiles and puts his arm around her. He tells her that he was really shock for he didn’t think that she will really take and send a picture to him. Tsubaki complains that he didn’t send one back to her. He says that it is because he doesn’t know how to reply back to that SELF-photo. Tsubaki protests that she only took a picture of the projector. Kyouta shows her the picture and to her shock, it also shows herself because she is taking a picture in front of the mirror, hence the image got reflected. He comments that she really doesn’t know how to take a picture. Tsubaki laments that she re-took that photo 50 times, but she won’t be depressed by that. “Today, I’m going to send you one so you just wait.” This puzzles Kyouta and says that they seen each other today..as well as yesterday. Tsubaki says that she thinks that it is necessary for her to practice. “If we are really going to send each other pictures, it won’t do if it wasn’t taken properly, right..? *smiles* You, too, Tsubaki-kun. If you are in the mood, you also send one back to me! Any picture will do.” The school bell rings so Tsubaki quickly runs to her classroom. Slightly flustered Kyouta scratches his head and mutters about any picture will do.
Later on, after school dismissal, the two Tsubaki-s are deeply kissing each other at the side of the building. After that, they bid each other goodbye, see you tomorrow and gambatte at work. Then, barely leaving each other, Kyouta gets a message from Tsubaki. It reads: “It all started here where we started to go steady, and until today, it is now a full two years. Even if I’m still not very mature, but later on, I’ll be under your care.” The picture is of a door of a room in school. Kyouta turns around to see Tsubaki standing behind him and holding her cellphone. She smiles back at him. Kyouta also smiles and sends her a message that it cannot be compared for he took that picture first before the [car?] crash. Tsubaki blushes in disbelief for she took the same picture as Kyouta of that place. [Kyouta’s picture is taken a bit farther away from the door while Tsubaki is a more of a close up of the door] Tsubaki looks up to call him but he is already walking away, and waving his cellphone. This made happy Tsubaki blush and puts the cellphone on her lips. Soon, more messages are sent. Tsubaki takes a picture of a Christmas tree. After sleeping together, Kyouta takes a picture of sleeping Tsubaki [/both of them]. Kyouta takes a picture of Seigu University Entrance Exam poster. In the classroom, Tsubaki is walking around nervously while bored Kyouta is sitting down. On the table is his cellphone. Tsubaki asks if the results of the exam aren’t out yet when it is already noon. “Would it come out at night? *looks at cellphone* Or in the end, there shouldn’t be some proxy and one should directly go to Kyoto to..” Then, the cellphone rings. Kyouta sits up properly and says that it is here. Tsubaki is very nervous as Kyouta talks with the person. After hanging up, Tsubaki asks how it is. Kyouta says that he passed..which is typical. She then asks if she can take a picture of today. Kyouta says, “Ha? ..hm, sure. *smiling* Do what you wish” Still holding her cellphone, Tsubaki hugs Kyouta tight. On the blackboard, it is written that it is graduation ceremony practice starting at 9:~ Narration: “Tomorrow is the last day of [my] high school life.” Next chapter has a cover page and colored page. Finally..coming up, the finale!!” It will be out on November 19th.
Hehe..they are reminiscing the past and thinking of the future..ya, it is ending soon. The author pretty much skip through the days without making it feel rushed. Just like I thought, this will end on their graduation day..and probably more depending on what is the focus of the last chapter. The picture exchange is a nice touch. Ah, technology is really great and very helpful for long distance relationships. ^^ It is really nice at how understanding Tsubaki is all about this. She is really less of a hassle if compared to other girls. This and everything else about her pretty much what made Kyouta fall for her really hard. This chapter confirms my thoughts that Tsubaki is really a perfectionist. 50x for a picture..wow..I guess it shows her perseverance, too. It is also thanks to that, she got Kyouta now. ^^ Hm..this seems to be the lovey-dovey arc I’m waiting for though I didn’t realize that it will be the ending soon, too. ^^; Scans by 水银工作室.

[Free Talk: Shocking..! Okay, if I read this right, Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu’s LAST CHAPTER will be CHAPTER 97 out on Nov 19th!!! I had seen the first page of chapter 96, it is Halloween..Kyouta’s 18th birthday ^^]
Thinking that she had let him all alone in the room during the wee hours, Setsuka insists that she will stay with him. She is surprised when Cain touches her face and says that her eyes are red. He tells her that she didn’t get to sleep the whole night so go rest for a while and come back since he is worried. Setsuka looks surprised when he tells her that he is already okay. While the director and the staff are blushing over this scene, Setsuka bows her head in agreement. He pats her head and seems to slightly smile at her. She thinks that Ren is already aware of her being worried about him last night. It is like he acknowledges that he acted strange last night. She also felt that Ren doesn’t want her to probe deeper into it since he acted normally this morning when he woke up. Even if she doesn’t want to chase it anymore like what Ren said [that he’s okay], but.. She remembers his sad-lonely expression last night. And, she calls up Yashiro who just got out of the bath to answer the phone. After some greetings, Kyouko wants to hang up the phone since she might be disturbing him. Thinking that for Kyouko to have called at that time 8:35am, Yashiro insists and says that it must be something urgent that is why she called. Kyouko asks him if he knows something regarding Ren. Worried, Yashiro asks what happened. Then, when Kyouko is about to tell him, there is only silence. Yashiro looks at the cellphone and wonders why he is cut off. It turns out that he is holding the phone with his bare hand. ^^; [<- Yashiro’s direct contract on electronic devices will cause it to self destruct within 10 seconds.] He starts berating himself for being a fool for making this mistake. Next chapter will be out on Nov 19th. It is really awful for us to be left hanging at that scene..just when Kyouko is asking about it to someone else. Hm..I wonder if Yashiro will help Kyouko solve this Ren problem alone or will Lory be included in it. I don’t get it though why Kyouko’s fairies are around when Yashiro’s phone is ringing. Thanks to Grail and JYJ for the info. ^^ From baidu, 神旁边的孩子N said that it is a 26 page chapter, and the next chapter will be on Nov. 19th. She is sad over her anticipated progress of the story. [<- hehe, common complaint] From the start is sister-wife breakfast situation, and afterwards, there is nothing. She has had enough of the rubbing face thing. It is estimated that the Chinese release will be tonight.

In his apartment, Kouya is sleeping when the door bell rings. He opens the door and it is Alice. With somewhat dead-looking eyes, Kouya smiles and says that he has always been waiting for her. He tells her that it must be hard for her to continue to stay in that house but then of course, it should be. He apologizes and says that if he didn’t do that, she won’t be able to get away from those guys. Alice interrupts by saying that even if she doesn’t know what he is thinking but that house is actually hers, and the thought of leaving it didn’t cross her mind. Alice smiles and tells him, “I am their queen. I had been chosen and I’m very happy with them. And, that also includes you. They already know of the situation and they’ve indulged me.” Kouya looks surprised and asks what she is saying. Alice says that it must be strange but she thinks that it isn’t that complicated in comparison to what he has been imagining. Kouya is speechless. Alice smiles and says, “But, that isn’t important. I have come to invite you. After hearing your past story, I really empathized with you.. For you to continue staying in this place by yourself, it makes people empathize you more with that bitter experience right? So, if you really want to be with me, don’t you want to go to my house? *Kouya is surprised that he asks, ‘what’* I’m saying I can get you into my harem.” Still looking surprised, Kouya asks if she is thinking that he will go, and why is she saying that to him. “I know. You are deliberately saying those things for me not to think that you are Azusa, right. Why!?” Alice says that it is because he makes people want to treat him kindly, because he looks quite pitiful, and he is very cute. Kouya exclaims that Azusa won’t say that. Alice says that she is saying that he is really her type. Kouya starts screaming that Azusa won’t say those kinds of things. Alice keeps her poise and then asks, “Really? Then, tell me more about that Azusa and I will definitely do my best to act like her. Miss Azusa, she..” Kouya shouts for her to not call Azusa’s name. “I won’t allow.. I won’t allow a person like you to casually call Azusa’s name!! You’re not permitted to call it again. Don’t.. Don’t appear in front of me ever again. I won’t be stained by you again!! Don’t..!” Kouya is surprised that Alice looks unfazed. She smiles and says, “Really. How regrettable. Flashback: Dimitri is walking in a snowy town and heard a detestable sound. In a room, a girl cried out softly to stop..please don’t. The man said that all daughters do this kind of thing, because they are girls, so it is inevitable. “Even if at the start, you’ll resist but slowly, it will..” The girl cried, “Don’t..” then she looked at the side to find someone standing by the door. It is Dimitri. The drunk father asked who he is and how was he able to open the door. There are ants crawling all over the door knob. The father asked if he went to the wrong room for this isn’t his house and doesn’t he understand Japanese. Dimitri said that even if he knows that in the world, there are all sorts of moral ethics and there is no absolute differentiation between good and evil but this kind of thing, even if somewhere in the world, it is something allowed, he absolutely won’t allow it. “It seems that whatever I do with a person like you, it won’t bother my conscience at all.” The father exclaimed what the, what does it have to do with him. “It is my freedom to teach my own daughter whatever things I want to!!” Dimitri said, “You’re not allowed to talk, you trash. Young lady, cover your ears. *covers his ears* Just like this, do it tightly. And of His Christ!!!” [<- it is based on Revelations 11:15 in the Bible] After some silence, the father said, “Yes- I offer you, my everything, my noble master.” Dimitri smiled and said, “Is that so. Then quickly jump into the ice cold river. Right now, immediately.” The father went out of the room and said that it will be as he ordered. After the father left, Dimitri muttered to himself that there is no need to offer him that filthy flesh. He looked at the girl and told her that it is okay. But the girl didn’t hear him nor know what happened because she is still closing her eyes.
He went to her and touched her shoulder which startled the girl to open her eyes. Dimitri told the girl that it is already alright. “That guy is no longer here and he also won’t come back ever again because I had already killed him.” The crying girl quickly hugged him tightly. Later on, the girl asked who he is. Dimitri told her that he is a vampire. The girl asked from where he came from..is it from somewhere far. He says that perhaps.. for his house is in Tokyo. Already wearing his coat, the girl looked at him and said that it is actually quite near. Dimitri asked if that is so. She said that because vampires-types should be from Romania or perhaps the United States. Dimitri laughed and said that she really know things and she is right for he did went to Romania and US but right now, he is staying in Japan. He told her that since it is rare for him to be there, so he would occasionally stroll in all sorts of places like this. The girl asked if at one side, he is traveling and at another side, he is killing people. Dimitri looked at her and she looked straight at him. After a pause, Dimitri told her that he had already killed a lot of people and from then on, he controlled himself from killing but today, he did it freely after such a long time. The girl looked down and said is that so. Dimitri asked her if that man is her father. The girl said that it is a man brought in by her mother and told her ‘call him your father’. Dimitri asked about her mother. The girl muttered that perhaps she’ll come home, and perhaps not. Dimitri comforted the crying girl and told her that because of him, from today on, things will be more difficult for her. “I’m sorry.” The girl shook her head and said that she doesn’t want to encounter that again and if she did, it would better for her to just die. Dimitri said that a child shouldn’t say ‘die’-type of words on one’s lips. The girl asked if he is going back to Tokyo. “Bring me along with you! I want to go with you, Vampire-san! And afterwards, I also want to become a vampire..!”
Dimitri smiled and told her that he cannot bring her along. “I’m sorry, but ..there is a condition. If, from today on, you do your best to become an outstanding and mature woman, compare to anyone, then I’ll come back for you. At that time, you can become my bride. And become a vampire with me.” The girl asked if that is true and does he promise it. Dimitri said that he promised as long as she becomes an outstanding woman. The girl asked him what an outstanding and mature woman is like. Dimitri said that he also doesn’t know it clearly and it is something that she needs to think for herself. He told her that she shouldn’t just comply with what he said, but rather, she had to find out for herself, and do her best to become like it. Holding her face, Dimitri says, “I really anticipate as to what kind of lady you would become.” The girl told him to absolutely come back to see her and do not forget his promise. Dimitri said, “I won’t forget. I promise. What is your name?” The girl replied, “Akari.” [That is guesswork name from 燈 which means ‘lamp/light’. There are other ways of calling that name but I decide to choose something that starts with letter ‘A’ just like the other girls before. ^^;] End flashback. Dimitri looks at a two story apartment and thinks that it has already been 20 years and the building has already been rebuilt since it was an old apartment before. Then, a young woman goes out of the second floor room and said to someone that she’ll leave the rest to him/her. Dimitri realizes that it is Akari, now all grown up. Akari glances down and sees Dimitri smiling at her. Then, Dimitri turns around and starts to leave. Akari runs after him and calls out, “Vampire-san!!” Dimitri stops walking and turns around to ask if she is calling him and she must have been mistaken. To his surprise, Akari hugs him and cries. “I remember..! This voice. Those eyes. And, also this black hair. I never forgotten it. You’ve really came!! Really came..!” Dimitri says, “-You really did your best, to become a very outstanding woman. *pats her head* Akari.”
Alice returns to the house and finds it empty. She goes to their cafe and finds Reiji at the kitchen. Then, Alice goes to sit down at the sofa. She looks flustered upon remembering Kouya’s reaction to what she told him. After closing her eyes tight, Reiji asks her what she is doing. “Are you crying?” Alice tells him that she is restraining herself from crying because she fundamentally has no right to cry. Reiji says is that so, and it is such a coincidence that just a while ago, he just had a first hand witness over someone who doesn’t have a right to cry, yet he broke down and cried. Alice is a bit surprised for she thinks that there is something different about Reiji. Reiji asks her what happened. Alice looks away and tells him that she went to see Kouya and made things clear with him that she isn’t Azusa. Reiji says is that so, and did it go smoothly. Alice says that it should because if she didn’t do her best in pretending, afterwards, she will just hurt Kouya again. She mutters that she thinks that she had deceived Kouya well. Reiji says is that so. Alice is puzzled by Reiji’s response that she felt something has changed about him. Alice thanks him for listening to her. She tells him that she has done such a mean thing to him that no matter how she apologized, she cannot be redeemed but she is really, very sorry. After a pause, Reiji asks why she is apologizing to him but then, speaking of that, he knows someone else who needs to apologize to him a lot of times. Looking away, Reiji says, “Forget it, it doesn’t matter.” Alice looks at him. Then, Reiji looks at her to say that if Dimitri comes back, she ought to properly talk with him, and anyway, he will be back soon. Reiji tells her that whenever Dimitri’s heart had been shaken hard[/agitated], he cannot just quietly endure it and let it pass. “So, if only something happens, he would do something. In the end, he only actually just hurts the people around him. *smiles* But, Alice, you like that kind of person, right? *Alice blushes* I don’t criticize your taste because one’s attraction to another person is something that one cannot control. *Alice looks down* I have made pudding, do you want some?” Teary-eyed Alice looks at him, and Reiji hugs her. He tells her that he already had someone whom he had decided to be together until he dies. “She is a very frank and sincere towards me. Even if perhaps it is because she felt that my life is short, that is why she is frank with me, but I felt that if my life was long, what more would it had been. Wasting away a long life, painful times would also increase. Alice, you should quickly let him die. Becoming calm, I will also become more steady.” [<- not sure whom ‘let ‘him’ die’, Reiji is referring to, probably Kyouya?] Kai opens the door and watches the two hugging each other.
Alice narrates that without Dimitri, everyone’s heart felt a sort of quietness for he would always perplexes other people’s hearts. Always treating her like a child who has a temper, not like a woman at all, but it is important for breeding to have this charisma that Dimitri has, and she must think of the vampires’ survival. Also, he told her about this scary ability which he might use one day to ensure the vampires’ survival. “So, for their future, I.. alibi.. Fundamentally, the reason isn’t important.. After this, no matter what happens is okay.. I definitely had unknowingly, already chosen Dimitri. And generally, from the start-- He will definitely come back soon. Until then, I will properly confront him and say it clearly. Tell him that feeling buried deep within my heart, that cannot be explained with words. If like this, then definitely--” Ding dong. Kai opens the door and is surprised to see Dimitri. Still surprised, Kai welcomes Dimitri back. Dimitri smiles and says that he is back so what happened while he isn’t home. Kai is about to explain when Akari, standing behind Dimitri, exclaims, “Amazing!! This house is really stylish! Is this the vampires’ nest?” Kai is dumbfounded. Akari happily asks Dimitri if that guy [Kai] is also a vampire. Dimitri smiles and says that he is. Akari exclaims that it is totally not obvious. She happily holds Kai’s hands and introduces herself as Nakanishi [中西] Akari. Kai hesitantly greets her. Then, Akari spots Reiji. She exclaims that they are so alike, and they are truly twins. She happily holds Reiji’s hand and greets him. Reiji doesn’t quite know how to react. Then, Alice arrives. Akari squeals in delight over how cute she [Alice] is, as if she is a doll. Akari asks if she is also a vampire, and she really has that ‘air’ about her as if she is some proud queen. Dimitri says, “No.. She is.. Speaking of that.. why are you still here?” Alice looks at him in surprise and her lips curl like a cat’s. While knitting her eyebrows, Alice thinks that Dimitri just asked ‘why are you still here’. Shaking in anger and clenching her first, Alice apologizes for still hanging around there. Dimitri starts to look nervous and asks weren’t she suppose to go with Kouya. Irked Alice asks why he jumped into that conclusion when she fundamentally didn’t say that she will be going to Kouya. Nervous Dimitri cannot answer back. Reiji asks as to who this Nakanishi Akari girl is. Akari happily smiles and says, “Dimitri, he proposed to me! *holds the arm of Dimitri who has a frozen smile* I will become a vampire’s bride! Afterwards, this time around, just like he promised, he truly came to bring me to Tokyo into the vampire’s nest!!” Alice stares at Dimitri who nervously looks at the side. The twins are speechless.
Dimitri tells Kai to prepare Akari’s room but Akari says that there is no need for she is going to sleep in his room. Dimitri says no, that..she is still a guest. Clinging on his arm, Akari lovingly says that she isn’t a guest, she is his bride. Nervous Dimitri tells Reiji to prepare some tea and snacks for Akari. Reiji says okay. Dimitri tells Akari to go to that glass room first to drink tea and he will quickly go there, too. Akari happily did as told. Alice watches all this in disbelief then she starts to go upstairs. Dimitri calls out to her and tells her that first of all, he wants to explain things, least she misunderstands. “I didn’t propose to her. It is only because 20 years ago, I’ve saved her.. at that time, I.. I only said, ‘do you want to fill up the vacancy of being my bride’ type of words... Compared to that, what I want to ask is why are you still..” Alice interrupts and says, “Is that so. *haughty look* This time around, I have already realized something very important and that is you are really a 100% loli con. You’re really vicious! You big pervert!!!” Dimitri nervously look at her and denies it. He says that he wants to tell her clearly that he is a man who had already had sex with women who are older than him by 10, 20 and even 30 years old. He defends himself by saying that he only met that girl when she is still a child and he also waited for her to become a mature adult. Alice exclaims back if he thinks that just by hearing his argument, she will look at him at a new light. “How is that possible!? Anyway, don’t I matter? You just let go and do whatever you want? No matter whom you breed with, I would be indifferent. *smiles* Do what you wish♡” Nervous Dimitri just looks on as Alice stomps her way upstairs. Dimitri says out loud as to what’s going on and why did things become like this. “What happened between Alice and Ikushima Kouya? While I was gone, what happened? Who would properly tell me about it.” Kai looks at him and says that a lot of things had happened and honestly speaking, he isn’t in the mood to properly tell him about it. With that, Kai leaves. Dimitri is in disbelief as to what’s wrong with everyone and as the master, isn’t it too cold for them to treat him like that. Meanwhile, Alice slams her door and jumps into her bed. She thinks of herself as an idiot because she is one-sidedly being sincere with that guy. “That guy is unacceptable!! Also, doesn’t want to marry, or become a married couple, he obviously simply wants to breed. Why is it that things just won’t go smoothly? Me and that guy obviously doesn’t have a future!! It already doesn’t matter anymore, whatever happens. I’ll just choose one between Kai and Reiji!!! No matter what, Dimitri is outside the scope [of choice]!!!” Cheshire approaches her and she hugs it tightly. Dimitri goes to the living room to overhear Akari happily praising Reiji’s cooking and will she be eating this kind of food everyday. Reiji just smiles at her when she says that he is amazing. Akari quickly stands up upon seeing Dimitri. She happily says that all of the rooms are very beautiful that she is getting super excited. She asks him if he can tour her around the second floor. Dimitri says okay but before that, there is something he has to.. Akari happily says, “It is really like a dream.. but then, this is no longer a dream. Thank you, Dimitri for making my dream come true. I always believed that without a doubt, it will definitely come true. I’m really very happy..” Then, she kisses Dimitri. Reiji smiles over this while Kai just looks on. Still in bed, Alice hugs her cat.
Hehe..Dimitri really put himself in a pinch and it is really rare to see him like this. Hm..I guess the author is putting in some comedic moments to lighten things up. And as a guy, I guess his pride is hurt over what Alice said because it seems like he couldn’t get any girls that he would pick on girls younger than him. =P But then, he is really good with girls. Akane must have thought of him as some ‘prince’ especially after saving her from that horrid so-called father. Akane is such a cheerful and easily excited cute girl. She is also very expressive with her feelings based on how she easily clings and kisses Dimitri. I wonder if she will continue on being like that if she ever gets jealous later on. Hm..she does seem like the opposite of Alice. ^^; And with this misunderstanding, Alice will has decided to just choose between the twins. I wonder if Alice and Dimitri will get jealous later on when they hang around and go lovey-dovey with ‘other people’. =P As for the twins, I guess they won’t be close anymore like before. I think Reiji instantly matured upon remembering his past. Kai seems more depressed now and he really owes Reiji big time so he’ll probably do whatever Reiji wants him to do. Interesting that after a few chapters, the twins exchanged places on ‘who is hugging to comfort Alice’ and ‘who is watching on’. I wonder why Reiji is smiling at that last scene. Is it because Dimitri will now be preoccupied with Akane? Leo did warn him about the twins before. As for Kouya, I wonder if we won’t see him again. Still, it would be nice if he can move on with his life rather than keep on hanging on the past.
