    We had lunch with bro and his kids yesterday. I had a splitting headache, which must be from lack of sleep. They went elsewhere while dad and I slept at sis’ house. Later on, we went to the family reunion. Because of uncle who had Alzheimer’s disease, the schedule was not followed so no talents showcase this year. I had escape it hehe Just when my mom volunteered to give the ampao this year.

    It is a common practice for the adults [older generation] to sit on one table and we [younger generation] would sit in another table. The other table was outside and of course, we sat there. Cousin who is going to Canada sat with us. When another cousin asked why we are all there, he said that we are the anti-socials. Hehehe Tonight, there was no mention of the studio and just plain talking so it is quite enjoyable unlike before.

    We had a raffle prize which I helped sis to do. There is this certain gifts for people who are 20 years old younger but there are only about 5 of them there. Egoistic uncle was nice today and when he saw me, he gave me one. I guess there are lots to go around so he gave me one. It is a folding chair. Mom plan to use it when we go around since I easily get tired and well, because of my shin.

    A lot seems to be happening or has happened in Grandier. They were riding on a boat when as usual, the ferryman tried to attack them. Rushuna defeated him while Yajirou seemed to be a bit distracted. I think his former master was the masked guy. They stayed at a certain inn and it turned out Rushuna’s pervert friend is still alive. Yajirou went sneaking in some underground tunnel while Rushuna with pervert friend went to a heavily guarded place then she was all shock over something. Argh. It is useless to summarize this since I don’t understand what is going on anymore.

    I managed to watch the ending of Ragnarok. It is okay. Assassin and his best friend’s fight was a tie. Best friend apologized and his soul was used to awaken evil lord. Best friend is priestess’ bro who snapped her out of her trance. She went to fight evil lord with swordsman but their attacks were useless. Merchant help destroy the crystals which held the souls of the dark lord’s men. They finished him with the final blow from priestess and well, a help from the goat guy. In the end, swordsman and priestess are a couple. A new couple with the same profession as theirs wanted to join in. Hunter had a baby, which looked like assassin. I think merchant was there, too.

    There seems to be no SB! this time. OP is more on fighting – one sided fighting with Luffy and Zoro flying out of the burning building. Nami captured by the townspeople thinking that the Straw Hat pirates are the cause of it all. I’m not sure where Paulie, Iceberg and Chopper were since I haven’t seen the scans. Lucci have also eaten a devil fruit, which turns him into a leopard. There are some talk here regarding different kinds of devil fruits and turning into animal base seemed to be the strongest.

    In MMR, Shuiichi and Ren’s fight ended up in a tie. Shiro got Takeshi to fight Miyuki and while fighting, Miyuki got killed while trying to save Shinji from being killed by Takeshi. He was trying to tell Shinji about Yui but well..he died. Miyuki gave the ‘survive’ card he gotten from Shiro to Ren. I was thinking why he didn’t give it to Shinji when their ideas are more or less the same. Ren powered up. I didn’t get to watch what happened after, the next episode, since I had to go back to the store to fax something for sis. I don’t know what happened but Shiro decided to stop the masked rider fights for a certain time.

    In today’s episode, Reiko had found Takeshi and Takeshi said that he will change if only he had seen his younger brother whom he tried to save from a fire before when he was young. Meanwhile, Shiro told Ren and Shinji to find Yui. They went to that abandoned house first. Ren saw a room filled with mirrors just like when Eri had collapse. Then, he saw a picture of a beach so he went with Shinji there. They found Yui there but nothing much happened there except Shiro telling Yui to trust him and she really isn’t involved or related in the masked riders’ fight. In Shuiichi’s place, he is starting to feel sick as Goro blamed himself for it since Shuiichi didn’t went for medical check-up to help him from going to jail. That is why he is very dedicated to him as Shuiichi thinks that he is being punished for being bad.

    Later on, Reiko got in touch with Takeshi’s younger brother and together with Ren and Shinji, they went to meet Takeshi. It turned out that Takeshi was the cause of the fire and got his pet snake to eat his younger brother. Reiko got knocked out. After seeing that the cards are working again, Ren decided to fight Takeshi. Now that I think of it, maybe Shiro does want to give Takeshi an edge since he can cause the others to really fight for their survival. Ren was fighting against Takeshi while Shinji against the monster of the day. Afte Shinji finished, he went to Ren and Shuiichi who had just joined in to fight Takeshi. To their shock, Takeshi had another blank contract card and had Miyuki’s monster, manta ray. He combined the three into one monster and boom, the three others goes flying.

    I must really have some bad luck lately with fishes this month. I had just transferred some of my fishes to a vacant aquarium yesterday and it cracked today. ^^; Argh, I’m feeling really depressed now after just learning it upon waking up on a bad dream. I’m still half-asleep. ^^;;

    Even if I’m not lucky there, I’m getting pretty lucky at finding some of the songs in the net that I had been looking for quite a long time. There is also some of the new manga scans from a Taiwanese site. It is a bit fast today. I’m not sure if it is because not much reads DNAngel now or it is morning and not many people is still logged in. I guess I should start surfing in the morning for a faster download.

    I managed to find a fan site on MMR. It is hard to browse over there since it is filled with spoilers and I got myself mildly spoiled. ^^; It is a bit amusing to know that the writer is a woman. It seemed there are many complaints about the card thingie in this masked rider but the ending is okay. This is all in 50 episodes with 13 masked riders. Anyway, I was just supposed to check the names of the characters. I do find it interesting that when interviewed, they were talking about Ren and I was thinking, wasn’t Shinji supposed to be the focus of the story? I guess his character is the most interesting and well, the writer likes that character.

    It turned out that the guy in Full House is a K-pop singer. Mm..could that be were I had seen him before? His outfits is still a bit weird but not as weird in Full House. His name is Rain. Ain’t it easy to remember? Anyway, I would watch his series, Sang Doo goes back to School next. I think this is in Chinese since it is from cousin’s wife. It seems to be a comedy about a former jailbird to boy toy to school custodian in pursuit of his first love.

    Arirang was doing a year trend and they said that lately, Korean singers are going abroad as BoA did and Park something – the glasses guy in Winter Sonata. It is the dramas, which are leading the way. I got to see scenes of All In. Hehehe Then, there is Ryu Shi Won who is in Beautiful Days and the Truth. I haven’t thought that he was a singer but then I like his songs in Beautiful Days. ^_^ Unfortunately, this is already old that there is no ost unlike in Stairway to Heaven.

    Witch Hunter Robin has ended and I had missed the ending which was on last Monday. ^^; The replacement is Full Metal Panic. It is okay about some military people guarding this girl. I can understand why if the other channel is going to replace Ragnarok with Gundam Seed for FMP has a mecha, too.

    A blog mentioned a new GB manga and I guess I learned of it late for there is already a Chinese translation one. Right now, I would have 3 GB mangas and a couple of SB! manga out in HK. Hehehe.

    Tuesday, December 14, 2004 @ 08:06 p.m.

    I guess missing one episode of MMR is important. It seemed something did happen that I wasn’t able to get much what is happening now or I had loss the pacing. I had also realized that it would take another week to know what happened in that episode, not this Thursday.

    Takeshi had powered up as he got Jun’s monster so he now has two monsters and managed to defeat Shinji and Ren. Ren has changed as they say, he found his reason to fight. That must have happened last episode and something happened to Miyuki. Shiro is angry with him for not fighting and had a monster to attack Miyuki. Yui is now sick with fever. Anyway, Goro tried to get Takeshi out of the way but ended up being kidnapped by Takeshi. Takeshi threatened to kill him if Shuiichi doesn’t get all the other masked riders.

    Ren went to Shuiichi to tell him to save Goro but then, Shuiichi isn’t actually interested in that and had challenged Ren. Meanwhile, Miyuki’s spirits is in an all time low since he just predicted his own death. He said that he had become a masked rider for a friend who wanted to be one. Then, the monster that attacked him reminded him of the one hurting a kid while playing the piano. I don’t know if the kid was him or his friend. He defeated it. Okay, I think this episode had lots of cuts since the scene changing is quite abrupt in one point and the usual end photo is missing. I guess the channel is in a hurry as to who would show first about the news of the president candidate before’s death. Well, it will be long wait for the Taiwanese channel for it is showing it once a week only. There is an ad in the Taiwanese channel on two model figures of the main masked riders. It is somewhat cool. ^_^

    The new chapter of FMA is out. Edward’s father is acting strange and it does seem that he is the ‘Father’ of the homoculus people. He kept on making Edward feel guilty about what happened. Before he left, he told Pinako to leave the country for something bad will happen. Al and Winry learned more of Ling’s country and about him being the son of an emperor. As the scanlator said, Ling’s country is based on China. The emperor has many wives from the different tribes. The one who can fulfill the emperor’s wish can be the next emperor. Meanwhile Breda has returned to Central and told Roy about Dr Marcoh would might be able to make Havoc walk again. Unfortunately, Envy and Gluttony got there ahead of him. They forced Marcoh to go with them.

    Monday, December 13, 2004 @ 08:59 p.m.

    Yesterday, we went to sis’ new house for their first day living there party. The place is still a mess since they are also moving on that same day. Nephew and niece had a grand time playing around there. We helped a bit in putting bed sheets and pillow cases on sis’ bed for we are sure that they would be dead tired later on. Sis admitted that her husband did go to bed later on. He just got well though he is still coughing so I avoided him for he might pass his germs to me.

    We went home a bit late so I didn’t get to watch KnGB except for the last 10 minutes. It was a tie. The next episode doesn’t seem to be that good. I won’t be able to watch it either since next Sunday would be the dreaded family reunion. The cousin who lends us Korean drama vcds doesn’t go here so it will be quite boring like before. There might even be that usual ego uncle’s sermon again.

    I went to Chinese doctor today after helping at the store. The sister of the secretary doesn’t seem to be well yet so until the secretary comes back, I would have to help around there. Anyway, since we went straight to the doctor, I had missed MRR. Sigh, I can watch the Taiwanese dub on Thursday even though it is already late. Anyway, there is a small recap at the start so I might more or less know what’s happened.

    We finished Stairway to Heaven yesterday. The poor rich girl really had some bad luck. She got operated to remove the tumor on her eye though I don’t know how they manage to do it with her eyes intact and not a scar in sight. Hehehe Rich guy finally decided to marry her after her successful surgery – one day before he was suppose to marry evil stepsis. Of course, stepmom and stepsis freaked out and started hitting the rich girl that stepbro and his father confessed to what really happened before regarding the rich girl’s accident.

    Later on, the two were arrested. The stepmom went crazy so she stayed at the mental hospital. After the wedding, there is a mini-gathering of officemates when rich girl fainted. They were worried about it. The doctor said that they don’t see any more tumors in her eye. It was then, stepbro decided to give his cornea to the girl. It is unethical to remove one’s [living] own cornea to another person. This suddenly reminded me before of a mtv of a guy giving his eyes to another girl so that she can see and he was blind. I’m assuming that he must have found a doctor who was actually willing to do that.

    The stepbro just committed suicide. He just told the others that he is going away and told the truth to the rich guy after he died. They transplanted it to her and she can see that is until she is feeling sick again. It turned out that the tumors had gotten in her brain and it is useless to operate on it. The girl was frustrated and so the guy told her that it was her brother’s so she use it to the best of her ability as in looking at nice things, etc. Oh ya, before the stepbro died, he painted a painting – Stairway to Heaven wherein a couple is standing near a stairway to heaven at a beach. He won the award later on and after seeing that and meeting with her stepsis and stepmom, she wanted to go to the beach house. It was there where she died after exchanging goodbyes and hopes with the guy. The ending goes back to the guy playing the piano at the beach.

    I do wonder about what would happen after. Would the stepsis really find the one who truly love her and have a new start? Would the guy really not get married again until the day he dies as the rich girl waits for him in heaven? But then, that is something that will no longer be explored.

    Saturday, December 11, 2004 @ 09:48 p.m.

    I had about reach my limit in watching Stairway to Heaven. The lead girl got her memory back but then, the guy send her back to that hell house with dramatic actress for a stepmother and sister. Argh. There is more maltreatment and such. The final blow was that the lead guy was stupid enough to get himself engaged to evil stepsis. I guess it is really better for lead girl to just stay with stepbro who really loves her and would do everything for her.

    Anyway, mom cheated and watched the last episode. ^^; Just as I have guessed, it is a tragic ending. I’m not watching that much anymore and told mom that I would watch when it is justice time for those evil women. Meanwhile, I watched All In!, which is another Korean drama. It is more on gambling and gangsters. I actually reminded me of God of Gamblers. ^^; It is a nice alternative to the usual love stories and Cinderella-types of story. I somewhat think that TCP actually helped me understand the world of the gangsters. Hehehe I do find it amusing that the head gangster was telling a lower rank to watch ‘The Godfather’ for some tips on how to be a good gangster.

    It is a bit hard watching it since this is subtitled in Chinese. Cousin’s wife is amusing for the ways of our watching is very much the same as hers. Like mom, she will watch the ending to get it over and done with. Hehehe Somewhat like me, if it is good, we will still watch it even if our Chinese is not that good. She told us that she even have to pause the cd just to look at the dictionary to check what they are saying for it is an important part. Lol. Well, don’t I also tend to do that when reading manga. And mom told her about Bodyguard not that good. Cousin’s wife muses that there is no bsho, eh. Hehehe Well, it is much easier to watch dramas with pretty people in it. ^_^

    I was searching on the Korean names when it turned out that the girl in Endless Love is actually the same girl in Full House. This is another instance when my poor face recognition is exposed. ^^;; Whiner aunt who is also borrowing the Korean drama cds mentioned before that it was her but I didn’t believe it even though mom also mentioned that it was. I think she is also the same as the one in All In. I didn’t recognize her at Full House because her hair is different and she wears different type of clothes.

    In GB, Maria isn’t dead yet for she used a reverse spell. Some more fights and talks until Ban couldn’t stand it anymore and interfered using his jagan. Then, he used some never before known tricks to Help like summoning a monster like his dad and a spell to get Help back to the Archive. They did trained Ban well. They were penalized though to be privately executed. Ban already has a back-up plan as he told the others that they would meet again.

    After Maria and Ban left, there is a new enemy wherein two people merged into one. Kadzuki was shock for it was the one he fought before when he was in Beltline -the one that almost killed him. He gets more shocked when Akabane finished him off quite fast that the announcer didn’t even know that the opponent is dead. Ginji isn’t too happy about it but Akabane said that it is okay for Beltline people don’t know what is death or rather isn’t really alive and the rule of the game is for the upper level to beat the lower level. Akabane told Ginji and Himiko to be prepared for the next battles.

    Friday, December 10, 2004 @ 06:55 p.m.

    I guess that I made a mistake about fortuneteller guy’s name in MRR. His name is Miyuki not Ryuuichi. ^^; Anyway, Takeshi asked the police to bring his lawyer, Shuiichi to the hostage scene and he will free all of the hostages. Jun kidnapped Yui so that Ren will be forced to fight and well, Miyuki tagged along for he feared of Ren’s fate. Takeshi and Shuiichi fought while the other three are also fighting somewhere near them. Then, Shinji came and he distracted Takeshi. Shuiichi used his final attack at all the others, again, then left.

    Takeshi used Jun as his hostage and then killed off Jun, much to the shock of the others. Shinji was pretty much angry that he fought with Takeshi unfortunately time are up so they had to go back to the real world. The police are about to capture Takeshi again when Ren came to help him out which further shock poor Shinji. Miyuki said that it could be that Ren is trying to help Takeshi so that he might be more like him. He also told Shinji that Shiro likes to give the cards to people who like to fight. It made me thinking how these two go their cards – I forgot how Shinji got his. ^^; The two went back to the café and met Yui there. Miyuki saw Yui’s pictures and realized that Shiro is her brother. He tried to tell her fortune but he couldn’t see anything. Yui then saw a negative at one of the documents given to her. She had it develop and the picture is of a house where she used to live with her brother until a sudden clash of the window glass interrupted her thoughts.

    At Shuiichi’s house, Shiro visited Shuiichi and told him to move already and not take his sweet time or it might cost him. Meanwhile, the police managed to track down Takeshi who was headed to his province. Ren helped him escape into the mirror world as Takeshi crashed the car over the cliff to make it seem he is dead. Shinji was following them and he was attacked by Takeshi’s cobra so he was forced to fight Takeshi. Shinji managed to defeat Takeshi when Ren came attacking him. Shinji was confused as Ren told him to fight already. It ended there.

    I’m at the final part of SH:C. I’m currently finishing some subquests before heading out to the last battleground. Yuri’s curse hasn’t been cured yet and Karin managed to confess her love to Yuri. I find it amusing when she said that he was a dummy that he would never figure out that she likes him. Hehehe There is a hint that there is a continuation for this game. I somewhat dread that it will be on PS3 for I don’t think I could still afford another console unless of course, the economy of the country improves. Everything is so expensive these days and business is not that good. Anyway, I like this game already and would want to buy the continuation if there is one.

    Scanlation for OP is pretty slow lately so I’m just depending on translations. In the latest chapter, Robin got away as CP9 managed to keep Luffy and others to stay put. The last scene was Lucci transforming into something that shocked the others. Oh ya, Kaku mentioned that his recommendation about Going Merry is true and that it is really broken.

    And, well, I forgot to watch Grandier last night. ^^; Hehehe Totally forgot until the next morning. ^^;;

    Thursday, December 9, 2004 @ 04:53 p.m.

    Mm..it seems that whenever we buy Korean drama vcds which my cousin’s friend want, we would be marathon watching it. ^^; We finally finished Lovers in Paris and the ending was what the heck was that. It turned out that all of it is just fiction of the girl’s mind as in her story because she is a writer. Then everything repeats again except the setting is now in Korea. I find it a bit odd for it would had been better to just end it as it was when they met in Paris again than this one. It somewhat ruined the drama.

    Mom goes to cousin’s office every Thursday so we have to finish it by then. Mom called to say that cousin would get Fire Bird and Stairway to Heaven. Oh ya, she lend us The Bodyguard but the story isn’t that good since it is a bit episodic that mom just watching the first and the last two disc. It is basically the story of what else, the life of a bodyguard from being a recruit to becoming a professional.

    I’m going to skip Fire Bird since the story is a bit predictable and we did watched the ending already which I didn’t really quite like. I do tend not to skip to the end if I like a series. The one we are watching now is Stairway to Heaven. The presentation is very much like in Endless Love and with such a sad bgm, I somewhat guessing that this is going to be tragic. Mom said that there is a bsho here but I guess she saw wrong for there is none. The only person I recognize here is the leading lady who was also the leading lady in the Truth and Beautiful Days though she is younger here. The parents are also from other dramas I have seen before.

    The story is, to my horror, a Cinderella type story. Not again but since it changed direction a bit, I am still watching it. There is this girl and a boy who loved each other until the girl’s father married this actress who had a son and a daughter from her ex-husband who just got out of jail. The stepmother treated the girl nice at first until her children lived with her. She become what you tend to see at Cinderella story but of course, there is that evil stepdaughter who covets everything the girl has, even the boy she likes.

    Since the girl is a goody two shoes, she is nice to her stepbrother who was also maltreated for he reminded the step mother too much of her ex-husband. Unfortunately, he fell in love for her. Oh ya, the stepmother is actually just grooming her daughter to later on, I guess, to maintain her status if her daughter gets to marry the rich boy. The father of the girl is just the nice dad who is being manipulated by the stepmother and the stepdaughter. It is quite hard to bear the first few episodes with all that maltreatment the girl endured that I’m almost willing to just watch the final episode and get this over with. By the way, the boy, the two girls like, went abroad to study. The nice girl was supposed to go with him but stepmother managed to prevent that.

    Then, they are all grown up. Stepbrother still likes nice girl but nice girl doesn’t and they can’t for they are legally siblings. The rich boy came home from the US and the two girls had a mad spree of who is the first to get to him at his company, an amusement park. Nice girl actually got there first as she shouted for the boy that she is nice girl and was holding a picture of them. As she crosses the street while the boy goes down the building, stepsister stepped on the gas and hit the nice girl unconscious. She was shocked over what she did that she quickly pack nice girl into her car and drove off. Just then, stepbrother saw the car speeding off so he went after it. Ah, reminisce of the Truth’s plot.

    Rich boy came down only to see a street accident [lots of cars were hit by stepsister] and their childhood picture which was splattered with blood. Stepsister then went to the hospital but wasn’t attended to since there was a building fire at that time. She took nice girl’s id and necklace and put it on a woman whose face was burnt beyond recognition and dumped her to her father. Stepbrother then managed to learn about it and nurse nice girl until she wakes up. She now has amnesia so stepbrother proposes to his father that they all run away. All the others thought that nice girl died except for stepmother and stepdaughter. I would commend the stepdaughter’s acting here. It was really good and believable with the wild look in her eyes after realizing what she did to nice girl.

    So, five years later, nice girl is living with stepbrother who paints. She is selling clothes. Stepdaughter managed to get in rich boy’s staff as his official ‘tail’. Hehehe Okay, I don’t know her position but she always follows him around. Rich boy haven’t forgotten about nice girl yet. On the day when he was going to announce his engagement to stepdaughter, he wished to see nice girl again and to his surprise, he saw her riding on a carousel, her favorite ride. He chased her and she is repulsive to him since she had her name changed. The stepbrother freak out. They were there since there was an art contest to have the murals painted with the theme ‘Heaven’. The stepbrother was chosen. The murals are actually dedicated to the nice girl, as the rich boy had promised when they were still young.

    We stopped at episode 4 and there are 20 episodes in all. The prologue was the rich boy playing a piano on the beach, talking about someone liking her more that he ever had but that doesn’t mean that I like her even less. It is already obvious whom he is talking about. I was wondering why he is alone so I’m guessing that they are all dead except him. Hahaha..kidding. Even though the music and the bgm are sad, it is somewhat nice. My other cousin’s wife said that this is a good story just when we were saying how come she would like a Cinderella story with all the hardships and maltreatment. The story tends to be plot driven than character driven for none of them have really changed – their personalities are quite stereotypical. Anyway, let’s just see what happens next, hopefully, it doesn’t drag at the end or have a bad ‘delivery’ of the ending.

    Wednesday, December 8, 2004 @ 07:14 p.m.

    It is somewhat silly when I thought Lovers in Paris wasn’t that good and I ended up watching it. ^^; It turned out to be not too bad. I’m finishing it for today since it has to be returned to my cousin tomorrow. The supposed secret was actually a dud. It wasn’t as devastating as the one in Beautiful Days. Anyway, it is good that the pacing isn’t that dragging near the end like some of the Korean drams of this theme.

    I don’t know if it is just me but in some profiles, Takeshi [Asakura] in MRR had some bsho looks except for that hair. Actually, the cast doesn’t look that all bad. Shuiichi couldn’t get Takeshi out of jail and Takeshi isn’t happy about it. Shuiichi got Jun out of jail since Shuiichi is Jun’s father’s lawyer. I think Shuiichi is in for some bad luck since Shiro has just given loony Takeshi a card, which he used to get out. I guess Shiro was disappointed with his recruits and wanted a known criminal to get the masked rider fights to get going.

    Takeshi went to Shuiichi’s house but failed to attack him since Goro, Shuiichi’s bodyguard/househelp/assistant, protected him. While hiding, Jun told Takeshi that Shuiichi is also a masked rider. Meanwhile, Shinji was trying to track down Takeshi for an exclusive report but ended up fighting at a café against a monster. When he went out of the mirror world, he was surprised to see that the café was under siege as Takeshi holed up in there with the customers as the police are outside of the café. Takeshi’s card is a cobra. Oh ya, Jun is watching from outside, observing gleefully.

    So, we have two riders doing it for fun of killing each other. One is doing it for the safety of people. Two are doing it for personal reasons. I wonder how many more there will be. Oh ya, I think the scissors rider is dead already when his card was burned. There was this flashback and I’m guessing that it was him since he wasn’t mentioned anymore.

    Well, my efforts were not up to par for the sick flower horn had passed away today. It was already sick a few days ago but I guess I noticed it too late. Anyway, we are slowing cutting down the number of tanks we have since water and electricity costs are getting more expensive lately.

    After the typhoons and the devastation of the provinces down south because of illegal logging, there is now a supposedly total log ban. I thought that it was a good idea for sis to have finished their house this year instead of next time since wood/lumber would have been more expensive because of the ban. Next Sunday will be the house ah..party whatever to celebrate the finishing of the house. They are supposed to do finishing touches but unfortunately, sis’ husband got sick. Sis got sick the other week from over stress.

    The cg scenes in SH:C is pretty good. The latest I saw was the attempted revival of Alice. It was very pretty. The thing that ruined it is probably the dub like this isn’t how it supposes to sound like. Well, I’m just being picky, I guess. It is quite sad and I’m still thinking to whom is it sadder. Yuri who saw his lover only for her to disappear again after telling him she loved him. For Alice, being revived then leaving him again. She looked pretty nice here with her hair down. Or for Karin, who is outside the doors, knowing that Yuri will never love him as the way she loves him.

    In MRR, Jun [I think that is his name – spoiled brat – Jun Shibara] was gloating that Ren couldn’t finish him and Ren was very frustrated with himself. Ryuiichi correctly predicted Jun’s trouble with the police. He tried to hire Shuiichi but I think Shuiichi declined. Anyway, Ryuiichi said that Ren’s fate is tragic either ways – he quit or he continues the masked rider fights. Yui managed to get documents regarding her brother’s experiment from a former co-worker who hopes that she wouldn’t bug him again. The last scene was Shuiichi going to prison, as a prisoner was head banging to a wall. The guard called his name, as Asakura so I’m guessing this isn’t spoiled brat.

    Monday, December 6, 2004 @ 08:58 p.m.

    The secretary had came back to work but then, at the afternoon, my parents had to go off somewhere so I’m on duty again. Time does go by faster when reading. I’m reading this book my father bought about singles – Guys are waffles and Girls are spaghetti. The first part is like a course on psychology and sociology on gender issues and differences. Interestingly enough, some of the differences listed are what I find to be in some of my forwarded mails. Now, I’m wondering if the authors copied it from the emails or the ones who made the email copied the book.

    MRR started a bit early today as in 15 minutes early. I guess it is from the reformatting of schedule again. The episode started with the spoiled brat [didn’t hear his name properly] managed to drop a virus on Shinji’s newspaper company and made himself editor-in-chief. As usual, it is just another masked rider who loves to bully poor Shinji. He had insulted Mishimada [the girl-nerd], which irritated her so she also created a virus to destroy his computer. Hehehe Ren is itching to fight spoiled brat as Ryuiichi said that he is just covering up his sadness and that he isn’t really a bad person. Then, Ren got his chance. Ren managed to distract spoiled brat and made Shinji’s card flying to Ryuiichi who gave it to Shinji. The last scene was Ren is about to stab Ryuiichi. Actually, I have seen this episode in the Taiwanese dub as well as the next one. By Thursday, the local dub would have caught up with the Taiwanese channel.

    Sunday, December 5, 2004 @ 09:51 p.m.

    I woke up late this morning since mom wanted to kept on watching the next episode in Full House. We are just about finished it for today. The last few episodes can be quite irritating to watch since the characters doesn’t change much and they are still fighting. There is that usual guy likes gal but can’t confess and ended up fighting or vice-versa. When one of them leaves, the other kept on waiting for the other and regretting. Repeating all of this frequently can be pretty tiring and well, annoying. It is quite obvious that the two will end up together.

    I wasn’t able to follow KnGB anymore and a bit bored with it because it is just fighting this and that. In today’s episode, it was on this guy who seemed friendly then when Takamine mentioned about Gash wanting to be the king of the ‘monsters’, he was being challenged. I’m not sure if the guy wanted to teach him something. The owner has some psyche powers and Takamine couldn’t determine if he is an enemy or not. I guess next week’s episode would be interesting on how Takamine and Gash would win this fight.

    Saturday, December 4, 2004 @ 02:19 p.m.

    Sigh, my brother is at it again with his problems. It always happens on December when money is tight because of the holidays and well, poor business. Hopefully, God willing, that this is the last time and the problem will finally be fixed instead of just patching up the problem. This happened just when I was hoping to go to that fish exhibit tomorrow. Well, if not, then mom and I would just have a marathon watching of the Korean dramas we have – currently at Full House.

    In MRR, Shinji and Yui [a newly recruited reporter] goes to investigate a university wherein kids are trying to kill each other in duels and they are wearing masks. Shinji got to met Ryuiichi [? I’m not sure yet but I’ll revise. He is the fortune teller] and Shinji is glad to meet someone like him. Ryuiichi said that Shinji will meet a new raider. Shinji did meet a new raider, one of the college guys [spoiled brat] who are in the duels. He attacked Shinji and stole his dragon card. This new raider’s pet is a rhinoceros. Ryuiichi’s pet is a manta ray. I think Shuiichi’s pet is a bull. I’m beginning to doubt if this spoiled brat is the same as the one in jail who loves to bang his head on the wall and on the bars.

    While in OP, Paulie was shock to learn that it was his co-shipwrights who tried to kill Iceberg. Poor Paulie got beaten up again. Lucci’s powers seemed to be some kind of martial arts. Lucci wanted to chase after Frankie asap. Robin declares that she cannot fulfill her wish if she is with the Straw Hats so she couldn’t go back with them. Then, they learned that the whole place would be in fire in two minutes. The end is a face off between the groups.

    Friday, December 3, 2004 @ 02:21 p.m.

    A typhoon had passed last night so I didn’t use my computer in fear of those ‘short’ brownouts. I helped in the store almost the whole day yesterday since our secretary’s sister had to be operated on the brain. I’m wondering if it was operated twice, would that mean that it wasn’t successful at first? Anyway, I hope her sister would get better soon.

    We went to sleep a bit early than usual since we couldn’t watch with all that brownout. I did manage to wake up at 1130pm. Hehehe, I was waiting for Grandier. It is another so-so episode with a somewhat look-alike of Ban with Sakura [cloth] powers. He is somewhat looking evil until he is in pervert mode. I think masked guy killed him off when he failed to finish Rushuna. The next enemy would be the girl in Yashiro’s past. There is a new sponsor is Gantz enemy. I looked okay but then there is this gross bird monster.

    In MMR, Ren had already met fortune teller. It is a bit funny that Ren dares him to a fight and it turned out that fortune teller is a much better fighter. Ren managed to counter the attack and they both got blasted out of the mirror world. The fortune teller told him that he should stop fighting or he will die. According to him that Ren is a bit indecisive in regards to really killing another masked rider. Ren doesn’t want to do anything with him since one Shinji who wanted to end all this masked rider fights is enough.

    Meanwhile, Shinji and Reiko [girl reporter] was investigating missing people at an elevator. Shinji fought with a monster and almost killed another masked rider that he was devastated. Shuiichi tricked Shinji into thinking that the masked rider was his assistant but they, Ren and Shinji, managed to trick Shuiichi into revealing himself. The last scene was the fortune teller trying to make a prediction on Ren’s bat but the picture flew to the fire and burned. I’m thinking that the fortune teller tends to tell bad fortunes. ^^; I don’t’ know his name yet.

    We are currently watching the Korean drama Full House which was based on a Korean manhwa. A girl writer who has a huge house as her inheritance was tricked by her childhood friends [from hell] into going to a one-way trip to China. There she met this actor who had bad fashion sense in my opinion and his best friend. She learned that she wasn’t book at the hotel and had no ticket back to Korea so she pretended me of the best friend’s ex-girlfriend in order to borrow money from the actor.

    Upon her return, to her shock and dismay, her so-called friends had cleaned out her bank account and savings, loaned a huge amount of money using her name, sold all her belonging and even her house. Their excuse was that the girl was pregnant and they needed the money to pay their debts and for the baby. It turned out that the actor was the one who bought the house. He pitied her and made her his maid so that she could pay her debts to him.

    The actor liked this designer who in turn likes his best friend. He tried to propose to her but was turned down when she said that she like his best friend. At a party, it was her turn to be turned down by the best friend. She was very angry that she tried to make the actor admit that he loved her. Instead of admitting it to her, he told it to the writer. Later on, they had an arrangement of marriage so that there will be an end of girls going after the actor and in exchange, the actor will give back her house. Then, the writer’s friends from hell even had the guts to ask for more money since they had wasted all of her money on stocks.

    I watched only up to there since there is a brownout again. The actress playing the writer looked cute here even though the guy actor seemed a bit queer. I mean, he looked like the glasses guy in No More Tears but here, he is all buff up and well, his outfit is usually from the 70s? or 60s. He reminded me of this local channel’s duo [ adventures of blah and blah – forgot the name]. The best friend looked okay but much better than the lead guy. Anyway, I’m guessing that this is a happy ending.

    Wednesday, December 1, 2004 @ 02:22 p.m.

    I now realized why my fishes at times, die out on me. Well, a probable cause, that is. I noticed that the water coming out of the faucet is smoky and not clear. It is what making the water blurred and these water sediments are on the glass. Before, I thought that it was because I had moved the gravel that it why it was like that. Now, it turned out to be the water source. Now, I thinking that it could be the cause of the death of the arowana. So, next time before changing the water, I would check if the water is clear. I’m still praying and hoping that no fishes would die in my large tank because of this. ^^; I learned of it, too late but a good thing that I have changed only 1/8 of the water only. Hopefully, that it won’t cause too much damage.

    A mistake on my theory on MMR. It turned out that the people aren’t monsters but that particular monster is after the professor Hajima, iirc. He had a card blackhole so it leaves him that was until it had accidentally fallen into the water so he quickly runs away. Yui, the café girl, learned that there was an experiment by her missing brother, Shiro, before at a certain lab and Hajima was also there. Ren somewhat remembers and also went to the lab.

    The door to the lab was open. It was full of mirrors with a lazy boy chair in the middle. Yui was surprised to see it then more surprised to see Ren come in. Ren remembers that his girlfriend, Ellen? [I couldn’t clearly hear her name] was being used as the guinea pig for the experiment. It was her birthday and asked Ren to come pick her up. Then, a flash of light, his monster bat comes in. Shiro then tells him if he wants to kill him or continue the fight. Then, poor beaten up Shinji came. He was all beaten up as he tried to prevent Ren’s former enemies from going after Ren.

    Then Hajima came with the monster attacking him. Ren and Shinji quickly attacked it and Ren made his pet bat eat the ‘soul’ and Shinji isn’t too happy about it. Okay, it seemed that their pet monsters have to be fed monsters’ soul or else, the pets would eat them. I’m not sure how it exactly benefits them though. Yui went to Hajima and he said that they shouldn’t have tried the experiment – to resurrect Yui again. Yui was pretty much shocked. Later on, Ren visits the unconscious Ellen in a hospital.

    While surfing a bit on the names of Korean stars [I wanted to know the names of the ones I frequently see and well, like. ^_^] I remembered about this drama in Wowow to check when it will be shown. It turned out to be on Dec 26. Hopefully, I do remember to watch it by then. It is a bit about two guys and a girl, solving a murder or something and it is a love triangle. One of the guys is Naohito ^_^ while the other is Kawashibara. Kawashibara looked familiar and I searched a bit on him. He used to be on some of the teen drama I watched like Itsura no Kiss based on a manga. I’m now gotten confused if he is also that other guy. ^^;;;

    Hehehe..just realized that Yotsuba [blog pic] should have green hair. Oh well, green hair looks a bit awkward and I’m thinking of reddish brown since that is what her ‘look alike’ in Azumanga hair is like. ^^;;;

    Tuesday, November 30, 2004 @ 03:06 p.m.

    I was mentally psyching self that SB! will come out on Dec 20th and not this 5th since in the HtY site, I wasn’t able to see it in its preview of what is in the next magazine edition. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is already a scanlation. ^_^

    Kyoko snapped out of her role mode when she heard the clapper. Oh, how I missed her. ^_^ She suddenly went bowing to all of them, apologizing for leaving before. All of them were shocked except Ren who already expected it. The director told her that it is okay for they already know the reason why she left and that he would use her way of tackling the role. The older actress who played the role before quickly protested but the director is no longer the insecure guy he was. He told the older actress that he wanted to make this remake of the famous drama different from before. Then, he had a scary face that made the older actress and Kyoko wonder who this person is – different from who he was before. He then told the older actress if she can play a different role of the mother. This time, the older actress is the one being defensive as she said that she can.

    Yashiro was surprised over the change as Ren told him that it is because he got out of his shell and can now do something different so that he would no longer be compared to his father. Ren said that he should also do this best to play the role into something different from the original. Yashiro asked if he doesn’t have confidence. Ren said he already knows how to do the role then mentally thought about what the president said about his ‘fake’ love scenes and wondered if he can do it.

    Ren was then surprised with this ugly scary look of Kyoko. Ren asked what is it with her and she said that it was he who is suppose to say something to her. It turns out that Kyoko is psyching herself for Ren’s ‘demon face’ for running away before for her haircut. I love the scene where she lays out and told Ren to go ahead and chop me into 3 pieces then stew/roast me anyway you want. The background had her lying on a chopping board with utensils. Lol. Ren said he was angry before since he was worried about her but then, he is happy to see that she managed to discover how to tackle the role and it was better than he had imagined.

    Kyoko was pretty happy about Ren’s praise that she could help smiling about it even as they start to film again. Ren also prepares for the taping as he is somewhat depending on her to bring out his performance. ^_^ Back to Shou, he was all dressed up as a devil again for his promo video I guess. Shouko, Shou’s manager was relieved that the Dark Moon posters doesn’t have the picture of Kyoko – only of Ren and the other leading actress. She also thought that Shou has no interest in dramas anyway so he wouldn’t look at the posters.

    That was until this guy, I think music producer comments that if only Shou’s video was shown earlier, ‘she’ would have gotten a better billing and that her name would be about the same size as Ren or was it that ‘she’ managed to get to act with Ren – something like that ^^;; Shouko is pretty much freaking out for she doesn’t want Shou to know for the ‘she’ that the guy was referring to was Kyoko. Shouko quickly tried to stop the guy from talking but Shou catches on. He went to a poster, which was posted, on the wall and there he sees that Kyoko is indeed in the drama. He doesn’t look pretty happy about it.

    That is when it hit me. The irony that it was Shou is actually responsible for making Kyoko hitting it big or rather getting into a major production. Hehehe and he just sent his ‘greatest fan’ to his greatest rival. Oh, I can’t wait for the next chapter. Hopefully, the author is not going to a break or something. ^_^

    MMR’s plot is shaping really nicely. After being blasted by Shuiichi, Shinji and Ren got tossed away. Ren suffers from a mild amnesia. Ren tried going to place where he used to hang out but ended up always finding people who wanted to beat him up for past fights. Fortunately, Shinji was there to ‘babysit’ him. The girl in the café, I don’t know her name yet, started searching for tips on her brother’s disappearance at his university.

    Elsewhere, Shinji’s co-reporter went to investigate about disappearing people at a certain part of the subway. I think their newspaper is on paranormal events. There she met an older man who kept saying that it wasn’t his fault then quickly left the train. Later on, the train passes over Shinji and Ren. There is this tingling sound which means there is a monster so Shinji quickly transforms and defeated the monster. Ren then remembered about another guy, who looked like the girl’s missing brother, giving him the bat card and then this girl [his girlfriend?] who is talking to him.

    The older man was walking and still kept saying that it wasn’t his fault then on the water, his reflection is of a monster. I suddenly thought that all the ‘monsters’ that they were defeating used to be people. This somewhat reminded me of Rahxephon. At the university, the café girl was told that all of the professors resigned after her brother’s disappearance. She was looking at a yearbook of her brother and she was the ‘it wasn’t my fault’ older man and the girl who know Ren. Very interesting. ^_^ I wonder if it was all because of an experiment gone wrong. I am now thinking if the masked rider scissors was café girl’s brother for there was a scene wherein this guy was telling Shinji that masked riders should kill each other.

    Monday, November 29, 2004 @ 11:59 a.m.

    Today is a holiday or rather it should be tomorrow but since our president loves long weekend vacations, she moved it for today. But then, my parents still opened the store hoping to earn extra income.

    I went out with bro yesterday around late afternoon since we thought we are going to this fish convention. It turned out to be just a bazaar. ^^; The fishes there are mostly flowerhorns and betas/fighting fishes. Even if we have flowerhorns, I still don’t like the ‘design’ of this ‘genetically designed’ fish. I’m happy that ours doesn’t have that ugly hump on the head, which reminded me of Frankenstein. My mother is the one who wants them for people say it is lucky to have that fish even though it is just a marketing tactic. The fighting fishes are very pretty. These ones are imported and they had really nice fancy tails. We bought one – the cheaper one. I think it is a fan tail. Hopefully, I would not kill this fish with another bloated stomach like the other two before. ^^;;

    I think next weekend there will be that con on cichlids and other fishes. I would just get bro to bring me there. We are planning to get a couple of cichlids for this aquarium but still thinking what. It is a choice between lulupi, kribensis or fontosa.

    I saw in the newspaper ad this MMS of Tare panda which are pretty cute. Tare panda is the basis for chibi/tare ginji. Too bad they had put these ‘I miss you’, ‘forever yours’, etc on the pictures. I’m planning to put it as wallpaper for my cellphone. Maybe I would just get a few and just ignore those messages. ^^;;

    Sunday, November 28, 2004 @ 02:18 p.m.

    I was downloading GB when I got pretty frustrated since it taking such a long time. A page would be for about 5-7 minutes on a dial-up. I checked at google again to see if there are any other blogs, which might be translating/summarizing it. Jackpot! There is a livejournal dedicated to GB. Then, I found out that GB is a weekly series. ^^;; I thought it was a monthly series. Hehehe

    Akabane led Himiko to a place where they will ride on a train which will bring them to the arena where they would fight. They met with GB. It seemed that Akabane got bored with Ginji for he isn’t ‘scaring’ him anymore. He is now more focused on Ban and kept on irritating Ban that Ban almost tried to ‘kill’ him if not for Ginji who stopped him. Ban somewhat wonder why Akabane got them into this mission for Akabane kept on hinting on Ban’s father of being proud of him if he kept his cold fighting way and that Ban should change the way he fights or else. Anyway, Maria came as their fifth member.

    The Fuuga’s fifth member turned out to be Saizou, the one who is with Mirror Himiko. He is from the different clan of Kadzuki’s clan. It seemed that there are three clans. Kadzuki is the graceful thread user clan. The two others are swift and tough. I got lost about which Saizou is for they mentioned that he is both red and black thread user. I think they are all going to the fight to get in Babylon and find the ones that killed off Kadzuki’s clan. I don’t like it when Saizou mentioned that the lower Mugenjou is now underguard since they all left Makubex alone. Well, Makubex is being babysitted by Emishi.

    All teams would with in four compartments of the train so that there will be only four left for the final battle. It is a good thing that this isn’t going to be dragged on with too many fights. ^_^ The four teams are pretty people Kadzuki’s group, invisible group, monster looking group and GB + those pleasant fellows. GB group will fight first against the monster looking group. Ban is wondering why their name is in German and they are from the Beltline. Akabane is smirking as if he knows something.

    At the background, Kagami with Ban’s father [face is hiding in the shadows] are watching. They talked a bit about Ban then when Kagami said something wrong, he thought his hand was bitten by an invincible monster. It seems that Ban’s father can create monsters through imagination. Interesting.

    Ginji and Kadzuki tried to warn Ban about their opponents being from Beltline. Ban ended up insulting Kadzuki being weak and that they better watch their opponents, invincible group called Voodooists. They ended up quarrelling each other. Ban shouted that they should mind their own business and that killing won’t solve a thing. Kadzuki left as he wonders what Ban said. They were supposed to choose a member to fight. Maria offered that she be the first so that she can teach Ban how to fight.

    The announcer asked what is the name of the other opponent and he said, he is called Help. Then, as they fight, Maria was thinking that she doesn’t have anyone in her life but she did enjoy having Ban even for a short while. She knows that Ban ‘closed his heart’ when his mother called him a demon child. She thought that it won’t be a waste living for 99 years and giving her life for him to teach him how to fight. Help suddenly attacked and stabbed Maria through her chest as Help gloats that he is called help because that is what people say when they fought him. I’m not sure who the writer was describing falling down as a skeleton..maybe Maria. Anyway, Ban isn’t too happy about that. I was thinking that they did mention if one of the members is defeated, they lost it. Does this apply here? Anyway, that is until next week, I guess.

    I also downloaded DN and so far, the story is so-so almost bordering into boring as I couldn’t careless about the characters anymore. I do miss the ‘evil’ Raito/Light, who used to make things interesting. They are so far searching who is the third Kira and had narrowed it down to 8 people in a certain company. The more I think of it, the more I’m guessing that Raito did lost in their game of wits with L since he had to give up the death note.

    Saturday, November 27, 2004 @ 05:54 p.m.

    We finally had water yesterday then just this afternoon, we had a 5 hour brownout. ^^;; Then, there is news that we might have no water again since some place else which have another water pipe repair and it might be part of our pipes. ^^;; Oh well, that’s life.

    MRR [Masked Rider Ryuuki] is really turning out fun. The acting doesn’t seem that good but somehow I get their point. Laywer Shuiichi’s dream of immortality turned out to be because he is dying. The last part was pretty funny in a way. The duo of Shinji and Ren were fighting this monster then Shuiichi just summon this ultra huge machine gun type robot and blasted them all. Shuiichi said that he hopes he won’t see, them losers anymore. Hehehe, I rephrased that. I’m guessing that the two would probably want to ‘sue’ him for trying to kill them, too.

    I’m guessing about next week, the fortune teller and the spoiled brat would be shown already. I’m thinking that being a masked rider is somewhat like in KnGB. ^^; They have to kill each other, too and the last one remaining would be able to grant his wish or something like that. I’m beginning to regret not watching the first part of the series but hopefully they would explain it again if it were explained before.

    There was an OP translation yesterday. The story is really getting good. It seemed that the marine/government wanted to use Pluton to stop the Great Pirate Age, which was started by Roger. Iceberg knows human nature that it will not really make things more peaceful if there are no pirates for everyone would then want that weapon. Kaku felt Iceberg’s pulse to test if Lucci’s theory is right -- somewhat like a lie detector test. His theory is that Iceberg had already passed on the blueprints to someone else and that person was his co-apprentice under Tom. It turned out to be Frankie, whom everyone thought was dead. Since Iceberg reacted, they knew that they were right so they are now going to go after Frankie. They were just about to kill Iceberg when the wall was destroyed by Luffy who had escaped with Paulie. Then, the door got slashed as Zoro and the others enter the room.

    What a cliffhanger. ^_^ And well, last week while Oda, the author was on a break, he got married to the stage actress of One Piece who played Nami. Hehehe

    The site where I download SB! had suddenly gotten GB, too. ^_^ I would just get the last parts of Voodoo arc. The site is a bit slow but then, not as slow as the other site where I used to get it. This one’s scans are much clearer though that doesn’t mean I would understand it better. ^^;;

    I guess the water pipe that was broke is all fix now since there are no more lines of people near the fire truck below but then, our building’s pipe is now the one in repairs. ^^;; Our reserved water is almost used up so hopefully, later in the afternoon, we would have water already or we would have to buy food for dinner.

    I think that Taiwanese dub of Masked Rider Ryuuki isn’t far off from the local dub which might be able to catch up pretty soon. So far, I don’t know who the other masked rider, scissors was. The others aside from the two are the lawyer who wanted immortality, the spoiled brat who is well mean and the fortuneteller who wanted to change destiny. I still do not know what spoiled brat is doing it for yet. The first two has bullied poor Shinji. Actually, Shinji is the type to be bullied here, it seems. ^^;; Shinji is doing it for the common good while Ren is for someone. Somehow Shinji somewhat reminds me of Tsuzuki of YnM. Anyway, the lawyer and spoiled brat might team up and that is bad news for the others. Anyway, I’m interested where the story goes.

    I wasn’t able to watch Grandier since I took a nap then woke up, it was too late. I only saw the last 5 minutes of the show. They are early last night. The only part was a new character, guy with glasses stalking them. The balloon kid is now with their group. I just browse over the blog that talks a bit about it to know what happened but then, it isn’t detailed. Oh well.

    I think I’m near the end of SH:C. Yuri never cease to amuse me with his ‘innocent’ comments. I’m thinking if he has the IQ like Luffy or maybe a bit higher. I’m still trying to finish some other side quests. I like the bgm of this game. ^_^

    Last night, there was a feature on manga in the Taiwanese news. I think that shop is a manga rental shop. I can almost name most of the titles there like Count Cain, Kindaichi files, Hikaru no Go, Detective Conan, NAR [new manga by Flame of Recca author], Naruto, and many others. They are saying about putting parental guidance on the manga so that younger people won’t read the more violent ones. Actually, they are currently doing it when selling the manga. The ones I have lately had strips of paper saying it is only for above 18. Well, in some volumes for a certain title. Not really all of it.

    Thursday, November 25, 2004 @ 02:05 p.m.

    There is a jeepney [small-type bus used for mass transportation] strike today so my mom decided not to commute today for she might arrive at her destination but the problem would be on the way home. Then, we got no water. Sigh. It seemed that some pipe in some place broke and so, I just hope they fix it quick.

    I managed to watch the start of BlackJack and it is at about episode 9-10. That confirms that this isn’t a movie type thing, which I thought earlier. The first one is about this rich guy who had some mental problem and it comes out as this ugly lump of flesh with a face. He had multiple personality that he could even physically change into them including a pretty woman. BJ couldn’t save him for his mental problem is much worse than could be done with surgery. The guy tried to attack the police and was killed. His problem was the loss of his mother whom his father divorced and she later on committed suicide.

    The other one is loosely base on a certain mermaid story. If it is about a mermaid falling for a human guy, it is bound to be tragic. A certain town had sued a company for polluting the water that many got sick after eating fishes from the place. They won so they now have to compensate for all the sick people. BJ was tasked to help but since he isn’t recognized, they would prefer he don’t help. He met this girl, Moon, who had a problem walking but she can swim pretty good. The girl had fallen for him and she also had this sickness, which is affecting the others. He operated on her so that she can walk. After a few days, he went to get some money from the company since they refused to help Moon just because she has proper identification. On his return, he learned that she went to the sea to get something for him. She drowns for she cannot swim with her ‘new feet’. Later on, they found on her the ‘medicine’ needed to help the others.

    The mermaid story is about the mermaid falling for a human and asked a sea monster or her father that she be able to live with him. She got her feet until one day, she needed to go to the sea to get something, maybe fish for them to eat. She forgot the warning that she can no longer swim if she got her feet and she drowned.

    I had been wondering about BJ’s little girl assistant as to when they got to met each other. I think she is gives the comical side of this series. Well, I hope they rerun it so that I could watch the ones that I had missed.

    I forgot to mention about KnGB. ^^; It has started to bore me. It is another helping this leaf kid against this other monster. Basically, that’s it. My interest in WHR isn’t improving. It is just a glance here and there. Some people are warning Robin about things and she is still clueless. I’m watching more of Masked Rider Ryuuki which I somewhat find amusing especially the two male leads, interacting with each other. They are complete opposites but somehow, the same in some ways that it is slightly funny.

    Wednesday, November 24, 2004 @ 03:33 p.m.

    We went to my uncle’s birthday party at his house yesterday. It was very traffic on the way there that we were late but then, the party was said to be have just started but then, maybe they are just saying that for the others looked as if they had already eaten. Sis and her husband came later on since mom asked them to buy some ampao [red envelopes] and we left them at home since we were in a hurry.

    Of course, everyone who went to the party had some ampao including the adults since uncle’s daughter had suggested to give everyone. They use to give it only to unmarried relatives, which included me. I got additional ones since my parents gave theirs to me. Hehehe

    I managed to nudge mom to ask cousin about more Jap dramas. To my dismay, it turned out that she stopped buying ever since the saleslady tricked her of saying that she haven’t paid yet when she already had. Jap dramas are very expensive since only that store has it. It is priced the same as an anime, which by the way, that store also sells. The price of a whole Korean series can be just buy only 2-3 episodes of Jap drama. ^^;;

    She said that she has told her messenger to send us two more dramas and one of which is Romance/Lovers in Paris. She said she skipped some parts and told me that later on, the leading lady isn’t as annoying anymore. Anyway, mom had offered to buy it for her the other week but she turned out to be in a hurry that she also bought it. We just exchanged the one mom bought. Before that, she looked at the ending. It was a happy ending with the other guy just leaving.

    She bought Beautiful Days since she haven’t watched that yet and Doctor Brothers which turned out to be tragic that she couldn’t sleep for they killed the guy she was watching for – the bsho guy. Anyway, I then saw my other cousin’s wife who also likes Korean dramas. I quickly told mom to ask and she had lots though they are in Chinese subtitles. So, we went home with lots of Korean dramas cds. Whiner aunt saw it and asked us to lend her some. We lend her two of the dramas, which I told mom that she saw already.

    The Jap drama that she had was Strawberry on Shortcake - the drama that I deliberately skipped watching, when it was shown on Taiwanese channel, because I couldn’t understand and doesn’t seem to be good. ^^;; Then, after returning home and enduring again photographer cousin’s ‘lazy’ way of driving. I do not know but the vehicle is manual and maybe he is having a hard time driving or well, maybe lazy?

    I noticed that he tends to leave a huge gap when there is a stop light that a lot of cars would tend to swerve to our side to overtake. He would tend to look at other things like right or left that I think that it is good that we are going super slow or else, we might bump another car. I noticed we are moving slow since a lot of cars are going past us. I suddenly remembered Slam Dunk with Hanamichi’s friends in a scooter being overtaken by a kid on a bike. If there is a race biker [bicycle] beside us, the biker would have overtaken us. It was later on we speed up a bit. I checked out the meter at first it was at 20km and when we were near my house, it was at 40km. Another thing is that he doesn’t know the roads. We would go to turn to the next corner to the left and we are still at the rightmost of the road! Well, he did mentioned to my father that he hates to drive or rather lazy to drive.

    I guess that is why he would rather go with us like before unannounced and had sis’ hubby grumbling about not informing us earlier or else, he would have gotten a larger car. And, well, that goes for his mother [whiner aunt], too. Who doesn’t want to drive her car and would rather hitch even if it inconveniences other people.

    Enough of that, I turned on the television to browse before going to sleep and finally found Fire Bird/Phoenix [Korean drama] which I was trying to see since the saleslady said it was good. Unfortunately, the timeslot is way late at night 1130-1230pm. I’m checking now if there is a rerun in the afternoon. I’m not sure if it is still the first episode. Anyway, the part started with the poor guy being divorced by his wife who was from a rich family. She can no longer bear the hardships of being poor. After much remorse, the guy finally decided to sever their marriage. That’s it. The next episode preview is where the plot begins to move. She decided to go to the guy again maybe to apologize for her parents trying to buy him out of the marriage. The father followed her and had an accident. He died and of course, the others were angry with the girl.

    They were having money problems already so that drove them to the poor house. I’m not sure if it was her sister or what who was doing escort services to this young rugged guy and she was supposed to slap her and she ended up slapping him. Well, that slap got the guy love struck and started courting her. Then, while ‘waitressing’ at this fancy restaurant or hotel, her ex-husband now in a suit [he must have become rich] saw her. Hehehe Since the title is Phoenix, I guess that would meant she would rise up again from the ‘ashes’.

    By the way, tagboard can't still be access. I'm thinking of changing it. I will just see if this keeps up.

    Tuesday, November 23, 2004 @ 02:44 p.m.

    We woke up late yesterday that we reached the doctor’s office at about 930am. It was our turn at about 130pm. Blood tests are okay except for the low blood count again. After that, we went to eat at a Jap restaurant then went to a hardware store for sis had to buy something then went home.

    Tonight, I will be out again for my uncle’s birthday. So, I haven’t been able to watch late afternoon anime. I’m not sure I’m missing much unless WHR suddenly turned out good as the reviews said after the eighth episode. ^^;; Oh well.

    I finally finished the new blog layout. I was really whacking my head for a picture and ended up with this scan from a scanlation, which I had been downloading lately. Yotsubato! is about this girl, Yotsuba who is a bit weird and innocent who moved in a new neighborhood with her father then she befriends their neighbor composed of a mother and three daughters. The author is also the same one who did Azumanga Daioh so I can more or less know the sense of humor she? uses. It is about the different experiences of Yotsuba after moving in.

    The picture is from the chapter entitled Yotsuba and Revenge. I just changed the title a bit. The captions are the same as in the scan. She had just watched a murder show and pretend to be the one who would want revenge. She guns everyone down with her water pistol but was outdone by the neighbor’s eldest sister who took her pistol away and ‘gunned’ her. In the end, her father’s friend told her that is why revenge is not good.

    Sunday, November 21, 2004 @ 05:07 p.m.

    There are just some days when you made some plans but then, in the end, nothing of it happened. Sis and her husband went to our house yesterday since they are going to a nearby church. We decided that I stay over their house last night since on Sunday, they will be attending a wedding and might not be able to fetch me. I would stay until Tuesday for on that day, there is a birthday party for my uncle.

    By this time, bro-in-law wasn’t coughing much but when we were on the car, he kept on coughing until we arrived at their house. Then, their air conditioner broke down. Then, I realized that I left my blood test results at home. Later on, I felt as if my throat is really itchy. In fear that I would get bro-in-law’s germs, his father decided to drive me back home. ^^; So, I’m back here.

    We passed by Ongpin [Chinatown] yesterday and I did saw the nice new lights they had installed there. The beautification of the city is really moving along even though some stuff are getting stolen by thieves to be sold at junk shops. My father commented that PAGCOR [government run gambling agency] had ‘donated’ those lights at Chinatown as somewhat of a ‘gift’ to make the people there not be very angry over the proposed casino to be made there. It is like saying, “Hey, look where the gambling money will go so allow us to make a casino here.”

    Oh yeah, our cable is back to normal. I guess they were just testing it. In sis’ house, the channels are a bit clearer than when the temporary transfer at our house.

    Saturday, November 20, 2004 @ 03:33 p.m.

    Mm..I just realized that I had miscalculated the change of new blog layouts. ^^; I had made a Christmas theme already but then, by the time I would have to change, it is still Christmas. ^^;; So for now, I’ll leave it as it is and think of a different one as soon as possible. ^^;;; But then, I still have no idea what so it might take some time.

    Our cable had merged with the other cable. So far, I think all of the channels are there plus some more, which we don’t have before but then, maybe they are still fixing it, for some channels have poor signal so it is quite blurry.

    Hehehe..nothing much to write about so I’ll end it here.
