About this blog: ^-^
I usually write about the manga that I'm currently reading. At times, I write about the anime I watched. Since it is hard to share and talk my thoughts about a certain manga series when people don't know about it, I tend to summarize them from Chinese scanlations so beware, this blog is filled with spoilers and they are not 100% perfect. I'm partly doing this to improve my Chinese. ^^ Feel free to point out my mistakes. ^^ Occasionally, I would blog about myself and other misc. things.

    Mei-chan no Shitsuji [Chapters 90]
    Sunday, December 5, 2010

[This chapter is mainly on Damien’s background so it might confuse you a bit why the story is different from the main one. After reading this through, I think that it is pretty good even if his past is quite sad. So far, I think his story is one of the most interesting among Mei’s ‘fiance’. This author really thinks ‘out of the box’ =P On a side note, for those who can read Japanese, I need to confirm a couple of names. The characters are Chinese so I’m using the Chinese translation but I need to verify how they are called in Japanese. In Chinese, the first one is Yang Xue Yang (I think the last Yang is a title like young master ^^;) and the second one is Xiao Qing. Is it the same? Thanks in advance ^^ Thanks am-am for the help ^^]

Approximately 10 years ago, at that time, there is a very popular online game, called ‘Hallelujah’. In the game, some people are freaking out over a huge mammoth charging towards them. They shout why such a dangerous thing is there and there is no option but to run away since they cannot fight against it. Just when they thought they are going to die, someone chops off the trunk of the mammoth. A young man carrying a huge sword [reminds me of FF7’s Cloud or whoever Gintama is imitating in their online game arc.] tells them to run to safety at the side. After hiding behind some boulders, someone exclaims that it is ‘D’, the legendary hunter. Someone exclaims if it is the ‘D’ who is also known as brave and strong in other online games. They wonder if he can defeat that huge beast. D calls out to his magical beast, ‘Michael’. A huge majestic eagle appears and quickly finishes off the mammoth. The people thank him but D tells them that there is no need for he is just atoning for his sin/s. They were puzzled so D tells them that in real life, he had killed thousands of thousands of people so he wants to help save some people in Hallelujah. He sadly tells them to treasure their lives. The people wonder if he is a dangerous person. They tell him that they are going to log off. Michael tells D that they couldn’t stay for long. D agrees. Then, there is a bright light in the sky. It is the sanction/punishment of the administrator [of the game]. The people, who haven’t left yet, say that D has a lot of tricks that it destroys the balance of the game including the creation of that weapon and that magical beast. He shouldn’t exist in this world. A beam strikes at D and Michael. They disappear. The people say that even if he is D, he cannot be saved and he won’t be allowed into Hallelujah again. Then, D materializes in a small house in the forest. D asks Michael if they were followed. Michael says no. D says that the administrator there is quite strict that if you die in the game, you cannot be resurrected within the game but fortunately, he has put up a 5x strong barrier so that he won’t be easily caught. D thanks Michael for the help and tells him that he can return to the shape of a human. Michael is now in the form of Damien’s butler. D looks somewhat sad at him as Michael asks if there are any other orders. D says that he is going to rest a bit so he should continue on putting up the barrier, and for him not to cut his hair. Michael agrees to all his orders and calls him D as Damien. Michael wishes him a good night sleep before leaving the room.

Damien looks sad as he looks at a picture of his mother [whom I think suspiciously looks like Michael]. Flashback: Damien’s mother called out to him and told him that for peace, she will go in a far away country to fight a war. Then, his mother, an outstanding young army major, came back home as a limbless doll. At the hospital, young Damien called out to his mother, who is heavily bandaged, but she just stares at him. A man probably his father asked if he wants to save his mother. The man told Damien that he is genius of their Ken country [<- name of country or founding nation in Chinese] so if it is him, he ought to be able to do it. The man encouraged Damien to show off his talent. Soon, the people were amazed at how Damien was able to give his mother new limbs and brain which was accepted naturally by the body without any rejection. But, it isn’t complete for Damien who wants to save her mother from the war’s nightmare. He doesn’t want his mother to feel sad again nor have any nightmare so he erased the feelings of ‘fear’ and ‘sadness’ from her brain. Soon, his smiling mother thanked him for she has never been this happy and this way, she can once again go fighting in the war. Damien called for her to stop and not go to war anymore. Her mother happily asked why when he has already fixed her body up so it will be a waste if she didn’t fight for peace. After all, she is no longer afraid of anything. Soon, not only his mother but many, many soldiers’ broken bodies and heart were all made well by Damien. They all join his mother in fighting the war for peace. Until somewhat older Damien found out that his mother had already passed away. Damien angrily asked why they hid his mother’s death from him. They told him to calm down for it is a really regrettable as to what happened to Major Adams. [So, Damien’s surname is Adams.] A child around the age of Damien suddenly crossed and got accidentally killed by Damien’s mother’s car. His mother is confused as to why she didn’t cry when a child is killed nor does she feel sad about it. She asked why she is like that [to Damien who isn’t there]. “So, mama used the arm that I created to neatly and tidily commit suicide.” His mother pointed the gun in her head and pulled the trigger. “I also wanted to die, but I have no way to do that because I was put in strict surveillance. Since it is like this, I begin to rot, from genius to a useless person...later on, if I could, I would be in this game..Ah ah..it is so beautiful, Hallelujah--” End flashback.

Damien wakes up surprised when he notices something hovering over him. It is a huge black pirate bunny which says that it didn’t notice that Damien is unexpectedly hiding in this place and made it a safe house. Screaming in shock, Damien asks who it is for he created this special territory. He shouts to Michael as to who let the bunny in. The bunny says that if he is talking about that AI [artificial intelligence], he has been frozen. Michael is lying stiff on the floor. Damien asks again as to who the bunny is. The bunny says that it is both the creator of Hallelujah and administrator, whom others would call as ‘god’. A long pause as what the bunny is sinking into his brain. The bunny coughs and says that it is always saying that because of him, the perfect balance of Hallelujah is ruined for he made a weapon and magical beast as if he is a god but those things shouldn’t exist in the game. It didn’t finish talking since Damien is totally freaking out that he couldn’t accept as to why the god of Hallelujah, whom he loves, turns out to look super ugly like that. The bunny thanks him for loving it. It tells Damien that the AI won’t tell it on how to make the program better. The discussion became intense hot and then.. The bunny laughs and says that Damien is too naive in his way of thinking. Damien angrily shouts what does it knows. The bunny then says that they are going to put each other’s DNA at stake in a duel. Damien doesn’t know what a duel is so the bunny tells him that it is an Italian word for battle which is popular in her school before. Damien exclaims why they are going to use that to bet when it is a something hidden and private for a person. He shouts that the bunny doesn’t understand things and is it a pervert. The bunny taunts him if he is afraid of losing and he has no confidence. It tells him that if he admits defeat then it will forgive him but he’s pitiful. Angered, Damien dares it to try and take all of his DNA data. He shows his DNA and exclaims that if he wins, he’ll be the new ‘god’ of Hallelujah. The bunny turns into a cute girl with two loop ponytails and in a goddess-type dress [<- like a celestial maiden]. Holding her DNA around her, she says that this is her, Mamahara Kurumi*, DNA and this is the first time she has shown this [form/DNA?] to anyone. [*In this chapter, it is written as Miruku then in the latter chapters, it is Kurumi. Maybe it is a typo or something that is corrected later on so I’ll go with Kurumi here, in order not to be confused with Miruku.] While Damien wonders if this is the god’s true appearance, Miruku summons her miracle god’s hammer and splats Damien. So, Kurumi says that in accordance to their deal, she’ll take his DNA and if he ever does bad things within Hallelujah, she would disperse this [either the DNA or news that he was defeated?] throughout the net. And, she had fun talking with him since it is rare to met someone whom she can talk about the same subject, she will always come to observe him. Damien sweatdrops in disbelief over this and is shock that she is going to drop his level to 1 as punishment.

Later on, that observing she mentioned turns out to be everyday visits to Damien’s house. Damien shouts that she’s annoying. While sitting on a reclining chair, Kurumi orders a cold lemonade drink with lots of honey from Michael. Damien can only helplessly shout at Michael not to entertain Kurumi. Kurumi would randomly come, say some random things and randomly just disappear. During that period of time, Damien gradually learns that apparently Mamahara Kurumi is her real name, she’s generally a Japanese and they are roughly of the same age but no matter how he searched, he cannot find her [in real life]. Could she be cleverly hiding or.. Soon, ten years had passed. That day, something has changed. Kurumi is dressed in a plain dress. Damien asks if she isn’t going to do a strange cosplay anymore. Kurumi says that she does this sometimes and doesn’t it suit her. Damien says that it is ordinary but to his irritation, Michael says that it really suits Kurumi. Of course, Kurumi says that Michael has a good eye while Damien is disappointing. Kurumi tells Damien that it seems he also made Michael a body in real life. Posing, Damien admits it and it is a top government secret = highly classified human android. Damien is surprised when Kurumi asks if next time, she can go see [it/him]. Damien realizes that she meant about seeing each other in real life. He realizes that something is up so he asks her what had happened. Kurumi says that she is going to unravel the world’s secret. Damien exclaims if she is doing some sort of important search. Smiling Kurumi says that she only wants to tell him she is going to put it in a secret box. “The key is a miniature me.. ♡” End -> Damien’s side of the story. Back to the main original timeline, Michael is driving a car fast. Seating at the back, Damien is holding sleeping Miruku. Damien asks if they are being followed. Michael says that they weren’t for Mei and the butlers are all focused in the duel against Tou-sama. Right now, their existence is free from anyone or any organization. Damien says that he did a good job in putting that virus in the academy’s system. Remembering what Kurumi told him about finding the miniature her, Damien holds sleeping Miruku’s face and thinks, “I already got the key. Come, tell me the secret of this world, Kurumi.”

As I mentioned in the intro, I find Damien’s past to be really sad and awful. I feel that those people had manipulated him into making his mother into a ‘remorse-less living weapon’ type. It also mentions of the dangers of making someone to not feel ‘pain’ and ‘sadness’. Since his life sucks in the real world, he finds fulfillment in the online game and found someone to talk to..a real person, not Michael. There is really a bond between them. Lastly, I guess Damien is the typical ‘he is actually gorgeous behind those thick glasses’ character =P Honestly, I’m pleasantly surprised that this arc turns out to be interesting contrary to what I earlier thought.

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu [Chapter 76] Teaser
    Saturday, December 4, 2010

Raws is out in BW and ya, everything is resolved in this chapter. Tsubaki realizes that the call yesterday to Kyouta is about meeting with Nako [formerly Youko, thanks am-am for the correction]. Based on Nako’s reaction when Tsubaki asked her about Kyouta, Tsubaki probably realized that Nako is interested in Kyouta. Tsubaki seems to confront Nako that she is the girlfriend but Nako just tells her that it is up to Kyouta to decide whom he would want to be with. While Tsubaki tries to think of an answer, Kyouta has ‘caught’ her. While Kyouta and Nako are talking, Kyouta seems to realize whatever it is that is bothering Tsubaki. He asks this to Tsubaki but she had already run off. Kyouta tries to chase after her but Nako holds him back and probably telling him about professor Kaminaga-whatever they are suppose to go. At the streets, Tsubaki is flustered that she ran away. She looks back and is surprised to see that Kyouta has run after her. When the walk street signal turned to go, Tsubaki waits for Kyouta to walk her, then he hugs her. They finally had a good talk about everything. Tsubaki seems to still try to want him to go to that meeting-whatever before it ends. Kyouta decides to throw his cellphone at the street which was crushed by a passing car..or destroyed upon impact. Kyouta tells Tsubaki that is his way of assuring her since he just destroyed any contact with Nako. Talk-> hug-> go home -> sex. =P Tsubaki’s uneasiness disappears. In the end, Tsubaki being the ultra super amazing girlfriend, writes again Nako’s contact number from her cellphone on a note and happily gives it to Kyouta. She tells him that she is alright now and he can resume probably his contact/relationship-whatever with Nako. Kyouta hugs her tight and Tsubaki is happy. That’s it. I think Kyouta should really treasure her. She is a gem and the chance for him to find a girl like her again is almost none. Anyway, it's good that they finally talked things out before things escalated and the situation got out of hand. Scans by amyangel19910323 for BW.

    Stardust★Wink [Chapter 24] Teaser
    Friday, December 3, 2010

Oh my~~I cannot believe it. Raws for Stardust★Wink 24 is out in baidu. This chapter is so amazing that I’m on a high. ^_^ The cover of Anna in kimono is very beautiful, too. In brief, Anna is totally shock over what Sou said. I think Sou wants to have some distance from her. Before Anna can react or something, Beni arrives and ‘bothers’ Sou. Anna takes this chance to leave and mope in her room. She starts crying over what had just happened that she felt it was a dream -> probably that birthday party earlier. Then, Coco, the squirrel is fussing about. And guess what?! Hinata came to see her!! (jaw drop) Or Coco =P They talk a bit and Hinata HUGS her to comfort her. I think he is telling her about friends drifting apart or something. Then, Anna sees Hinata off at the train station. Hinata mentions something about what Sou told him while they were preparing for the party. Then, wah~ Hinata KISSES her on the cheek. Then, before leaving, according to 長崎聖依 who scanned this, Hinata tells her of the possibility of him liking her. Kya~ The last scene is of Sou coming out of the convenient store and looking sad as he sees a shooting star..I think. I’m excited and hope the Chinese scanlation will be out soon ^^ And, there’s hope again regarding the possibility of Hinata x Anna. But poor Sou..

Free Talk: Aoha Raido/アオハライド + SB! 167 crappy teaser
    Thursday, December 2, 2010

BW’s seiryou shared the 8-page colored preview of Aoha Raido from Betsuma Sister magazine. I think you ought to know from the picture below as to who the author of this new series is. Yup, it is Sakisaka Io of Strobe Edge. I think this new series will be a long one and it somewhat made me compare it to Kimi ni Todoke because we have three pair couples. Haha..no more love triangles, I presume =P Somehow I’m excited over this since I did like the author’s stories of the various couples in Strobe Edge, except for the main couple ^^;; The cast looks interesting and from their looks, one can immediately ‘judge by the cover’ as to what kind of people or personalities they have. [Edit: Yuka74 mentioned that the guy in the middle looks like Ren. I just realized that maybe he is the one whom someone in BW commented, 'Ren has become a teacher haha'. ^^; He isn't wearing a uniform and looking at the scans again, there is the word 'sensei' in it. Not sure if it's just a lookalike or it's really Ren.] I guess the editors think that this is good that they put up 8 colored pages preview for this series’ characters. Hehe, they succeeded in making me curious about it. There is a narration here probably about school life as to what kind of people you'll meet in school but then, I cannot read Japanese so I’m not sure. ^^; This will be officially published on the February issue of Betsuma so this will be out in January 13. I think 腐女子 is interested in the series so she might summarize it. Me..I’m just informing you of this series as something to look forward to next year ^^

    Skip Beat! 167 teaser is out in baidu but I don't understand it. Someone cut a girl's phone..probably Kyouko. She dumped that annoying sempai and ends up in beagle's embrace..Reino, I presume. [c.c informed me that Reino isn't in this chapter] Then, it is a cliffhanger? of someone behind him..Ren I think. Not sure if he is going to hit Reino or not, or he would say he doesn't want Setsuka as amulet. And, there seems to be more flashbacks of his past including Lory. [Edit: Sorry, I got most of this wrong. ^^; It is just remember the past and Ren doesn't pick up Kyouko's call at first but later on did.] It seems that Rick is Ren's mentor. He said, "I hate people who do not value their lives. Time is not endless. Rather than spending time being lost in thought, it is better to act. If you want to apologize to me, then stand up, Kuon." That's is what I can understand so far from the comments but then, I can only be sure if I've seen the scans or someone do a proper summary of the Japanese text. ^^;

Akuma to Love Song [Chapters 71-72]
    Wednesday, December 1, 2010

Maria and others finally arrive at Yokosuka. Maria feels a bit nostalgic about the place but she thinks that there ought to be some changes there. Shintaro introduces Sukare-chan, a bird mascot in a sailor uniform to them. [Sukare = suka from Yokosuka and kare = curry. Sukare is short for Yokosuka Navy curry. When Japan opened to the world, it is here where curry is first introduced and the Japanese adapted it to their own taste. (Source: boingboing.net)] While Shintaro trivializes about whether the mascot is a seagull or a duck to Yuusuke, Shin notices that Maria is looking at a tunnel. Maria has remembered passing through it before. She starts running and recalling the familiar sights. The guys followed her. Soon, they found a dirty and run-downed two-story apartment. Maria recalls the time when there are a lot of people outside as her mother is taken by an ambulance. When Shin is expressing his concern about how Maria looks = pale/aghast, a woman asks what they are doing there for no one lives there anymore. The woman assumes that they are those people who would go on a ghost hunt [/test of courage type of games]. The woman complains about it being irritating since it has already been 10 years since the person living there had committed suicide. It has been affecting the neighborhood on how they are spreading rumors of a ghost there and they would leave trash all over the place [after the ghost hunt]. Soon, the woman changes her tune of welcoming Maria and others after they help clean up the place. Yuusuke uses his charm to loosen the tongue of the woman. The woman tells him that she feels that woman has not passed over since that woman who committed suicide is famous for being raped and in the end, the culprit was found not guilty. Then, later on, there’s something wrong with that woman’s brains because she suddenly decided on giving birth to that failure child. Later on, by the promenade, Shin is really angry over what that woman said. Shintaro tells him not to be that irritated for that woman is just saying whatever she wants. Maria thinks that Shintaro is right for the problem isn’t that but rather, she cannot forgive the man who raped her mother. They were surprised when Maria starts calling on her cellphone. It is a telephone operator [/directory to ask the phone number of people]. Shin takes the phone from her and tells her that she cannot talk so what she is doing. While putting the phone on his ear, Maria grabs his shirt that made Shin says, ‘Kawai’. The operator asks what the first name is. Going with the flow, Shin says that he doesn’t know but it is someone who resides in Yokosuka. Maria wanted to know more about this man from her mother’s relatives. Shin is informed that there are no guests[?] in the records for ‘Kawai’ but there is a ‘Kawai Manufacturing’ company. Shintaro tells them that he knows that place.

On their way there, Shintaro tells them that it is a small family owned company that manufactures silver. Even if it is a small factory, it suddenly grew big in the past few years. When they arrive, Shin asks Maria if that is her mother’s home. Maria shakes her head for she doesn’t know. They were surprised when Shintaro shouts for her to go in that room at the side of the building that has a display. Inside, they see the machine parts, medals and other things that the factory made. Some silver accessories caught their attraction since there are some cross pendants. Shintaro says that it is like Maria’s cross but Yuusuke says that Maria’s is more refined. Maria holds her cross pendant and thinks that it might not be her mother’s. Then, an old couple calls out and asks if it is Maria. The old woman starts crying when Maria looks at them. The old woman says that she grew up beautifully and tells Maria that she is her grandmother. Suddenly, her grandfather looks tense and is breathing hard. He asks why she came here now. He then kneels over. Yuusuke asks if he is okay. The grandmother says that it is just from shock. Maria tries to touch him but the grandfather snaps at her not to for didn’t she hate being touched by people. He kept on ranting about Maria coming there to mock them just like their daughter whom they abandoned. While his wife tries to stop him from talking, he tells Maria that the issue about the assets is already over and they already gave her a high class flat in Yokohama. “I do not want to remember again of my daughter’s disgrace. Don’t come back again!” Maria is stunned by what he said that she starts crying since he just called her mother a disgrace. Angry Shin covers Maria’s eyes and shouts at the grandparents not to insult the person who gave birth to Maria. “If I knew that her family members are these kind of people then I wouldn’t have let her come here.” Shin tells Maria that they should go. The grandmother cries and pleads for Maria to forgive her grandfather. She explains that he wasn’t like that before but he became like that because he was tormented by guilt for such a long time. It is because they ignored their child’s pain and chose money. The factory is temporarily closed before when their daughter was raped. At first, they wanted to pursue this case until the end but the military and government offered them a huge amount of money if they drop the issue. So, to denounce them who took the money, their daughter decided to give birth to Maria.

Outside, Maria is furious that there is only pain for her mother and her relatives wherein they had come to hate themselves. She blames it all to that man who did that to her mother. Shin and Yuusuke look flustered and helpless over her. Shintarou has this arrogant look. He tells Maria that this is the first time he saw her with that kind of expression so how about eating some sukare for a change of mood. With a smile, he tells her that he is going to bring her to the place where she wants to go. As they walk, Yuusuke asks Shintarou where they are going. Shintarou tells him not to ruin the surprise. Looking at really flustered Maria, Shin worriedly asks if she wants to go back already since she has that kind of expression since they left that place. Maria shakes her head and wonders if she has such an ugly expression. Maria manages to clear up her mood and remembers that she went there in order not to make Shin worry about her. Soon, Shintaro says that they are in the place where Maria really wanted to go. Yuusuke is surprised for it is a church. They are also surprised when Shintaro says, “I’m home’. They realize that this is Shintaro’s house. Maria notices a sign = Gospel Marianne Church. Weekly Worship starts at 10 o’ clock. Priest – John Cross [/Kurosu]. Her eyes widen upon seeing that name. Some children welcome Shintarou. Shintarou asks where Father John is. A kid says that he is watering the flowers. Another child says that John’s back hurts and he should rest as told. Someone says that they are already going to eat so they should call Father John. A glasses girl apologizes to Maria and others for not tidying things up since Shintarou suddenly just brought guests. She apologizes for the noisy kids and asks if they eat curry. Another boy exclaims that their sukare is the delicious and it is John’s specialty. Shintaro explains that even if it is church, it is also a child welfare institute. He then says that he is hungry so they should first eat. He opens the door to the garden and shouts, “Father John! It’s time to eat--”

Maria then sees a priest wearing a sun hat with a ribbon, watering the plants. The priest looks at them and Maria recognizes him as the same John Cross in the picture of that newspaper clipping. Shin looks at Maria who looks really flustered over this. Shintarou offers to introduce John to them. John is a priest who brought up children who has no one to depend on and let them stay at that place. “He is also sempai’s father.” While everyone including John looks surprised, Shintarou says that everyone should go eat while talking. He then asks John to let Maria and others stay there for today. After a pause, John says okay. He is telling them about the rooms on the second floor when he trips on a stone and falls flat on his face. Maria and the other two guys are speechless over this. Shintarou asks John if he is okay. He says yes. When he removes his hat, John’s nose is bleeding. John still seriously says that he is okay. Soon, the other children help wipe his bloody nose as they ask if he is really from the military before, why he wears that kind of hat, etc. Maria looks really aghast over this happy scene for she couldn’t believe that the guy who caused her mother so much pain is living happily in that place. Shin can only feel helpless as he sees Maria crying again in anger and frustration. Yuusuke asks Shintarou what’s going on and how is this related to him. When Shintarou is going to explain things in detail, Shin has already grab his collar and shouts that he already knew this from the start yet he brought Maria there. Shintarou says that he wanted to show Maria the current situation of her father. Shin shouts if he even considered Maria’s feelings. Shintarou says that he did but he feels that it is more [important?] for Maria to know. He didn’t finish what he is saying since Shin already punches him in the face with his right hand. Shin shouts that it is better for Maria not to forever know about this if she is only to [feel] hatred [over it]. Everyone including the children is surprised by what Shin did. Unfortunately, Shin just re-opened his hand injury that it starts to bleed. [If the scene isn’t too serious, I would call Shin stupid for using that hand. ^^;] Then, one of the kids starts crying. Yuusuke apologizes for startling him. While he tries to pacify the kid, Yuusuke tells Shin that the wound has re-opened so shouldn’t he go to the hospital.

While gritting his shaking hand in pain, Shin says that he is okay. Maria is already crying and thinking ‘no’ as she worriedly looks at Shin’s hand. Suddenly someone grabs Shin’s wrist. Shin shouts at John what he is doing. John says that he is going to help him stop the bleeding and sterilize it. Shin winces in pain as John tells him to relax. He tells Shin that even without putting strength [/doing it consciously], his fingers are stretching so his tendons could have been damaged. If he ignores it, he can no longer curve his fingers. After a pause, Shin asks why, when he obviously was able to curve it. [<- to form a punch] John says that it could be because he used too much strength that it caused another injury so tonight, he should rest and they go have it checked on the hospital tomorrow. Later on, at the church’s nave, Maria looks at the cross in front and thinks that she doesn’t believe in God that she hasn’t asked for help in prayer but right now, she prays that Shin’s hand to become well. She apologizes for only considering herself and for not properly worshipping before. It is alright if she cannot recover her voice, and if there is any painful thing that will happen again, she won’t cry again. She will do her best not to let herself have a heart of hatred. Just when she is praying for Shin’s recovery again, she notices that someone comes in. She looks flustered upon seeing John. John tells her that it is cold there at night so she should go back to the room. While Maria is promising God that she won’t hate John, John notices her necklace and comments that she is also wearing that, just like her mother, who told him that it is a friendship ring [-type of] protection charm. Maria is surprised when John says that if her mother is still living, she would have been able to see the current Maria. “Seeing you happy with your friends, but right now, she is in heaven watching over you. Definitely..” He stops talking upon noticing furious Maria who is about to slap him really hard. In the end, Maria has succumbed to her hatred that she thinks that no matter what, she hates this person.

If Maria does hit him, then he really doesn’t know what hit him. ^^; I guess John is trying to comfort her about her mother or there is really nothing much for him to say to her her except that. But, unfortunately for him, on the way there, Maria’s hatred for him regarding what he supposedly did to her mother is just building up. For him to casually talk about her mother being in heaven when in Maria’s mind, he is the one who is responsible for it all. Geez, how insensitive can one get. Maybe he didn’t expect Maria to know about the ‘news’ that happened before. Don’t you find it odd for him to know about her mother’s cross pendant when he is supposedly a rapist? Maybe they know each other mutually. I’m starting to speculate if the mother’s friend also knows John mutually or something since she is a nun. Aside from that, it is also odd that he is living in a place where that supposed crime happened. Just like Maria, I think it is totally unfair. How come this supposed rapist can live a normal life with no people protesting about letting children be under his care yet they would easily ‘condemn’ and made the life of the ‘victim’ like hell that she is so hard pressed that she committed suicide? They are obviously living in the same town because Maria and others just walk from one place to another. So, well everyone is holding grudges and guilt feelings..basically, being negative, John has already moved on and is making the world a better place for the children. Well, it is a right attitude... Maybe he chose to help children specifically because of Maria..as if a way to make it up to her, perhaps? It also depends on your perspective whether Shin or Shintaro is right in making them meet. For me, it depends if John is really a rapist or not. If he is, then Shin is right for this will just make Maria like she is now who cannot forgive and is filled with hatred. If he isn’t, then things would be clarified to Maria as to what really happened and well, she can also put this behind her and move on with her life. Anyway, at least we can get Shin to finally seek medical attention on his hand. Oh ya, about the grandparents, they are awful. They or rather the grandfather jumped into conclusion that she came to mock them and implied that she is after the money. Okay..what can one expect on how they treated their own daughter. ^^; If her mother give birth just to spite them then at least, they should have took care of Maria after her death. They just send her away to Yokohama or let a maid took care of her. It has to be her mother’s friend who decided that she has to open up/adapt to the world outside by getting her into a proper school. Now, that is what a real friend should be. I guess just like her mother, Maria is blessed with having good friends. ^^ I do hope that later on, Maria would come to appreciate what her mother’s friend’s concern/did for her. Papillon -Hana to Chou- [Chapters 31-33]
    Monday, November 29, 2010

This is for mikimata and whoever else is there who always ask about this series whenever I wrote that I’m working on backlog series. =P I actually planned to do all two volumes but I couldn’t find the time. Then, it is just one volume but still cannot find the time. So, I just do three chapters for now since the readers of this series has already been waiting for such a long time since I mentioned I planned to continue the series. Sorry about that. Some parts are not accurate, it is because the scans are blurred or cropped up at the speech bubbles. Scans from veryim.com

Chapter 31: Awakening At the corner of the hallway, Hana looks at Hayato as he runs through the hospital’s hallway after being told that Rena has fallen down the stairs and has become unconscious but she is okay. After he passed through, Hana left. In the hospital room, Rena is already awake. She asked surprised Hayato if the one who is holding his sister’s hand on that fateful day is her and not Hayato. Hayato couldn’t answer back. At home, Ageha is happily preparing for the trip. The door bell keeps ringing that Ageha answers it since no one did. She is surprised to see angry Hayato. She is puzzled when he asked for Hana. Still puzzled, Ageha calls out to Hana who is shocked to see Hayato there. Hayato asks Hana what she did to Rena and how did she know about the accident. Hana admitted that it was his sister who told them. Unremorseful, Hana says that she didn’t do anything wrong for she only told Rena the truth. Hayato is so angry that he hits door with his fist. This surprises the twins. He shouts for Hana not to get close to Rena gain. Back in the hospital, Hayato learns that Rena has already been released from the hospital. This made him call her on her cellphone. Rena picks it up. Hayato asks her where she is. Standing at her sister’s grave, Rena just asks him if what Hana told her is the truth. She says that before the fall,, she had somewhat remembered some scenes of the accident and she was holding someone’s hand. Hayato tries to tell her that they should see each other and talk. He asks again where she is. Rena shouts at him that if it is the truth, she wants him to tell her so with his own mouth. She pleads him to tell her if it is really her, and not him, who was holding her sister’s hand. Hayato finally admitted that it is true. He is shock when she hangs up on him. Back at the twins’ house, Ageha is totally shock over what Hana did as she learned why Hayato is really angry. Ageha is freaking out over how Hana should apologize but then, she worries if Hayato is going to forgive her. Still unrepentant, Hana starts to head out of the room. She stops when Ageha’s cellphone starts ringing. It is Hayato who tells Ageha that he couldn’t contact Rena and it isn’t good for her to be alone right now. Hayato will go to Rena’s house to check on her. He asks if Ageha can go to his house to check if Rena is there. Ageha immediately agrees. She also gets Hana to go with her. At Hayato’s place, the twins didn’t see Rena. Hana asks what they should do know. Ageha says that they will wait for Hayato to call them. To Ageha’s shock, Hana complains why she has to be dragged along in looking for Rena. Ageha shouts at her that it is her fault so she should bear bit responsible for it. Ageha shouts as to why Hana told it to Rena. Hana just pouts and won’t tell her. Ageha just mentally calls Hana stupid and feels that she ought to apologize to Ran.

Hayato calls and tells Ageha that Rena isn’t there. Ageha says that Rena isn’t at his house either. Ageha asks if Rena is close with Ran and she might be with Ran. Hayato says that he called and she didn’t go to Ran’s. He also tells her that Ran is also helping in looking for Rena. Hayato says that he’ll look around near the hospital. [<- scans are chopped so that is a guess] Hana starts wondering where else could Rena go. She then thinks of something. Ageha shouts to her twin to wait there in case Rena goes there. Hana asks where she is going. Ageha says to the cemetery. She arrives at the cemetery but to her dismay, Rena isn’t there. She is surprised to see a butterfly. She wonders why there is a butterfly in the middle of the night. She follows it and looks up. She then sees Rena on top of a pedestrian bridge. Ageha felt that the butterfly guided her. Ageha quickly calls Hayato to inform him about it. Hayato tells her that he will be heading over. Sitting down by the stairs of the pedestrian bridge, Ageha thinks that it is better not to disturb Rena. She prays that Hayato will arrive quickly. She goes into shock when Rena climbs up the railing. She comes out and shouts for Rena to stop. Rena stops and asks if it is Hana. Ageha shouts that she is the older sister. Aghast and tense, Ageha tells her that Hayato will be arriving soon so how about they have a good talk. Rena says no for she doesn’t have the face to see him for not only she didn’t save her sister, she even treated Hayato badly. She wishes that it was she who died on that day. Cannot think of something else to say, Ageha shouts for her that isn’t true. Ageha freaks out when Rena starts to climb over the railing again. Rena tells her to please apologize to Hayato for her. Ageha shouts for her to stop because if she dies, Hayato will be hurt because he wasn’t able to save Arisa before so if he couldn’t save Rena, too, Hayato’s heart will definitely die. “So, you cannot die--!!” Flustered, Rena mutters about Hayato’s heart dying. Ageha immediately realizes that this is her chance. She quickly rushes forward and pushes Rena back to the bridge. Relieved, Ageha leans on the railing but somehow, her butterfly necklace has unfastened. She quickly grabs it before it falls to the street below but she finds herself losing balance. She ends up falling off the bridge. Rena is surprise to see that Ageha is no longer at the bridge. Some people are freaking out when Hayato realizes that it is Ageha hanging on to the bridge’s edge. Hayato quickly runs to the bridge. Rena holds out her hand and tells Ageha to grab her. Ageha says that she cannot for if she moved a bit, she’ll fall. Rena tries to call for help when she realizes that this is the same situation with her sister before. Rena is shock when Ageha has lost her grip. Before Ageha falls, Rena grabs Ageha’s hands. Her shoulder is hit on the railing but she won’t let go this time. And somehow they are saved. [Why do I feel that some pages are missing ^^; Maybe the author skipped it.]

Chapter 32: Flapping Wing/s Rena’s right shoulder has dislocated because she had to bear Ageha’s full weight. Ageha, together with Hayato, apologize to injured Rena. Rena smiles and tells her that it is alright as long as she is safe. Ageha bows again and thanks her. Rena tries to tell Ageha that she should be the one who ought to thank her. When she winces in pain, Hayato asks if she is alright. Rena says that pain is nothing. She then apologizes to Hayato for changing what happened in the accident and blaming him for it. She doesn’t know how to make it up to Hayato for her sister’s death which is both a shock for both of them. Hayato says that he is the same with her since he wasn’t able to save Arisa and he should have saved Arisa first. He apologizes to Rena. Later, the two comfort each other. Ageha thinks that Rena has finally acknowledge the truth and she wonders what will happen afterwards. She thinks that Rena keeps on her progress in this direction then she will be alright. Soon, the couple sees Rena off as she left on a taxi. As Hayato walks Ageha home, he thanks her for saving Rena. Ageha timidly says that in the end, it turns out that it was Rena who saved her. He flicks her forehead and says that it is by a strand of hair and if there was any mistake, then she would undoubtedly have died. Holding her forehead and the necklace, Ageha tells him that it is because the necklace fell. He shouts for her not to exchange her life for a thing and how is he to live on if she had died. The two look flustered then Hayato hugs her. Ageha apologizes for making him worried. They look at each other and Hayato kisses her forehead. Later on, Ageha thinks that it seems she is forgetting something. She then remembers Hana. They head back to Hayato’s place. Ageha apologizes to Hana. Hana screams her head off as to up to when they plan to make her wait since the neighbors are already looking oddly at her and mosquitoes are biting her. Hayato smiles and says that, but still, she waited. Hana finally admitted that she is partly to blame for what happened. She says that she is shock to hear that Rena tried to commit suicide since she didn’t think that Rena would go that far. Hana also admitted that she thought that if something happened to Rena, then they won’t be able to go to the trip.

While Ageha realizes that Hana knew about the trip, Hana bows and apologizes to Hayato/them. Looking serious, Hayato says to forget it since even if she said the truth and made him worry of the worst thing that could happen, but he never thought that Rena would accept the truth. He admits that he didn’t know what to do either and this is for the best. He feared that if Rena knew of the truth, her reaction would be very intense so he always didn’t tell her and endured everything until now. Speaking of running away, he is also doing that and for things to turn out like that, on contrary, he thinks that it is for the best. Hana looks somewhat sad about this. Ageha narrates that the stone that Hana threw [into the water] had started to cause ripples. At the hospital, Rena talks with a doctor and says that they are going to meet at 8pm. After the doctor left, Rena freaks out when Hayato asks if it is a date. Blushing, Rena shouts he came again. Hayato asks who that guy is and if they are going steady. Rena denies it. Hayato teases her about going to dinner with a guy [even if not going steady? Not sure- blurry] Rena says that it is alright. While Hayato muses that this is a good thing, Rena tells him that he shouldn’t look after her anymore. There is no need for him to visit her everyday for she won’t go thinking of suicide again. She tells him that while holding on to Ageha, she remembered that she wanted to save her sister from the bottom of her heart even if she hated her sister because of what happened with them and Hayato. But, that thing doesn’t matter for she wanted her sister to live on. Even if it hurts, she won’t run away from this feeling of guilt. She can compensate for it by how she lives from now on. She wants to become a person whom her sister will approve of. Hayato looks surprised over this. Rena bids him goodbye and says that she still has work. Later on, Hayato cleans Arisa’s grave. He tells her that Rena is now moving forward. He then sees a butterfly flying. I think he calls Ageha’s nickname [or it is the butterfly; scans chopped off ^^;] and asks what she did to Rena since he wasted four years and still wasn’t able to do anything but she only did it for one night. Narration: “ The fluttering of a butterfly’s wings can change the world.” [<- butterfly effect if you still remember.] Finally, it is the day when Ageha is going on a two days and one night trip with Hayato. Before she left, Hana curses her [in jest?] about something happening to the Shinkansen. Ageha thinks that even if Hana just let her go, she really thought that Hana will still ruin things for her. Ageha wonders if Hana has given up on Hayato. She thinks that it could be because of the introspection that Hana did because of what happened with Rena. Hana is looking at an album with a picture of [Hm..I think it is Hana and Shinobu]. At the train station, Ageha is freaking out that Hayato is late. She begins to wonder if this is from Hana’s curse. Then, Hayato, who is breathing hard from running, finally arrives. Ageha exclaims why he is late. Hayato says that he isn’t feeling well. Upon seeing Ageha’s somewhat disappointed face, Hayato leans to her and tells her to relax for he would do his best to reserve his energy for tonight. While flustered Ageha shouts that isn’t what she meant, Hayato says that they are leaving.

At the Shinkansen, Ageha asks him how Rena is. Hayato tells her that she is now stable and she now has a positive outlook that he feels a bit at a complete loss over it. Ageha is delighted to hear this but she wonders out loud what brought about Rena’s positive outlook. Hayato tells her that it is when Rena saved Ageha that made her re-live that accident before. Because Rena saved Ageha, it made her feelings of regret about not saving Arisa disappear. Rena had even said that she thought that she left go of her sister’s hand because she really wished for Arisa to die. Since she cannot accept that guilt, she blamed it on Hayato. But, when she saved Ageha, she remembered that it isn’t what she earlier thought because she didn’t want her sister to die. This made her realize that the accident didn’t happen because she was thinking that way. Ageha is super happy that she was of help even in a little bit. Hayato somewhat smiles at her. Ageha is puzzled when Hayato mutters that it is regrettable that it wasn’t him who helped Rena. She looks at him to find him closing his eyes. She calls out to him. He says that he’s tired so let him sleep a bit. Seeing that the sun is directly on his face, Ageha pulls the curtains. She is glad that things are okay with Rena. Soon, they are at the beach. Ageha asks if Hayato is still tired. He teases her that he got a bit of energy after seeing her in her swimsuit. Ageha covers her chest in embarrassment over what he is saying. Suddenly, there is a huge wave that engulfs them. Hayato manages to surface after coughing out the water. He calls out to Ageha but she is nowhere to be found. Hayato immediately become pale. Suddenly, Ageha stands up over the water and complains about that huge wave. Ageha then notices that Hayato’s face looks awful. Hayato says that he doesn’t feel well. Ageha suggests that they go back to the hotel. Lying in bed, Hayato apologizes for this since it is rare for them to go out on a trip. Ageha says that it is okay. They agreed to eat dinner first before going to the hot springs. At the hot spring, Ageha thinks that it seems that Hayato is really not feeling well. She then tries to calm herself about what he said regarding having the energy for tonight. Soon, Ageha returns to the room to see that Hayato is already sitting up, waiting for her. Hayato comments that she looks cute. Flustered Ageha thinks that he looks good in the yukata, too. After some casual comments about how the yukata suits Ageha and Ageha picked the color, they soon hug each other and fall together on the futon. Ageha’s heart is beating loudly and fast. She feels that it is like a dream and his embrace makes her feel calm. Ageha then says about being envious of Hana before when her parents would always hug Hana while sleeping. She couldn’t say it out loud about wanting someone to hug her. They kiss and Hayato pulls off her obi [/sash]. To Hayato’s shock, he sees Arisa in place of Ageha saying that she likes him. Hayato quickly pulls away and looks really stunned. Ageha is puzzled. Facing away from her, Hayato keeps on holding his mouth as he apologizes to her.

Chapter 33: Heartache [/Innermost pain]: They arrive back. Hayato bids her goodbye and tells her to be careful on her way home. Ageha is really disappointed over how their trip ended. She is then surprised to see Inoue who asks if she came from a trip and is it with Hayato. Ageha freaks out and apologizes for not telling Inoue about it. Inoue says that it is alright. To Ageha’s surprise, she apologizes for the mean things she said before. Inoue says that she is really happy to be friends with her. She is friends with Bibi and Meiji during junior high and they have boyfriends so when she learned that Ageha had a boyfriend, she practically freaked out that she is the only one who doesn’t have one that she felt Ageha betrayed her. That is until she also had a boyfriend on her own. She shows the picture of her boyfriend to Ageha from her cellphone. Ageha is happy for Inoue. Inoue apologizes again to Ageha for what she said before for it is only because she was lonely. Ageha happily says that she is glad to be able to understand her feelings. She thanks Inoue for telling her. They hug and made up. Inoue asks her that they went on a two day and one night trip yet how come Ageha doesn’t have that kind of smell. Ageha goes into shock and mopes at the side. Later on, her friends are in shock that nothing happened since Hayato is a lot older. Ageha tearfully says that things are going smoothly until the time when he apologized and she still totally doesn’t know why. Hayato won’t tell her anything and looks quite embarrassed. While her friends feel sad for Ageha, Ageha wonders out loud as to what she did wrong. Meiji says that Hayato said that he wasn’t feeling well so maybe it didn’t stand up. Ageha is clueless as to what they mean that they have to tell her that it is ‘the sign’ of a man so no wonder Hayato is embarrassed. Ageha is totally shock about this that she exclaims what she should do. Meanwhile, Hayato has sought Marui’s help on what to do for Arisa has already died four years ago so why would he suddenly ‘see’ her. Marui asks him if it is only now when he is feeling the pain of losing Arisa. He says that Hayato has been suppressing his feelings of pain and it seems that it is already flowing out. [Sorry, the part here is blurry but I think that is what’s said.] Marui asks what the reason could be. It seems that Hayato gave Arisa a yukata before and she looked nice in it just like how Ageha looked nice in hers that he suddenly thought of Arisa. He then thought that Arisa cannot wear that yukata again. Marui looks sad for Hayato. He tells Hayato that the feelings that he always doesn’t want to show has come out of the box. Hayato asks what he should do. Marui tells him to just experience those feelings and totally let it go. He felt that Hayato hasn’t really come to sort out his own feelings after he lost Arisa so it is only now that it is gradually manifesting. He tells Hayato that if he totally doesn’t feel/let it out, then the pain won’t disappear.

At the cafe, Shinobu is shock to see that Hana has come in. After serving her some drink, Shinobu asks what she wants. Hana points to him = ‘you’. Shinobu sweatdrops as Hana explains that after they broke up, she wasn’t able to get along with any of her boyfriends and it always won’t go smoothly no matter who it is. So, she wants to go steady with him again. Shinobu blushes and says that for her to ask him like that, it is hard to accept. Hana exclaims why and is it because he still Ageha. Shinobu seriously asks Hana if she really likes him. Hana looks flustered but she didn’t reply. Shinobu smiles and tells her to decide on this first then call him again. Later on, Ageha looks determined in front of Hayato’s house. Her friends call to cheer their support, wish her good luck and will wait for news as to what happened. Ageha rings the door bell. There is no answer. Hayato has been looking through his pictures with Arisa. After multiple door bells, Hayato keeps the pictures in the box, then wipes his eyes. After he opened the door, Ageha asks if he was sleeping. Hayato tells her that he is just lost in thought. Going inside, Ageha says that she brought a snack. Hayato thanks her. Ageha makes short talk about it being rare for Hayato to be lost in thought. Ageha mistook this that Hayato is still depressed over the almost H and her friends were right about telling her to comfort him in order for him not to be hurt [over what happened.] Looking somewhat tired, Hayato is sitting on the sofa. Hayato is surprised when she offers to give him a foot massage since he looks tired. In the end, Hayato lets her do it. While holding his foot, she then looks at him and asks if he feels comfortable <- just like what her friends told her. Hayato starts to complain that she doesn’t put any strength in it so how could it feel comfortable. After some fussing about, the two looks surprised when Ageha is already on top of Hayato. I think that he asks her if she has done her school work. Ageha says no. He tells her that isn’t good and she shouldn’t be wasting time there. Ageha wonders if he is sending her away. Outside his apartment, she is shock that she has been rejected. Walking home, she starts to cry thinking that she doesn’t have enough charisma. She thinks that everything is okay on the way to the trip so what did she say that made things end up this way. She starts to feel angry that she is very worried about him yet that is his reaction to it. She decides to confront him and know what he is really thinking. Meanwhile, Hayato is lying on the sofa when his phone rings. It is Rena. Rena tells him that things are going smoothly and she is feeling positive that she is already working but suddenly, her feelings.. Hayato tells her that they should meet. She starts crying and Hayato hears it from outside his apartment. He heads out to see Rena crying. She takes out an album and tells him that her sister really liked her. In the picture of both sisters, there is a heart memo saying that Arisa really like Rena. Rena starts crying and says that upon seeing it, she felt deep down inside, the pain of no longer being able to see her sister anymore. She apologizes for intruding on to Hayato but he is the only one who could understand that kind of feeling. Hayato looks at the picture. Then, he also starts crying. Ageha runs back to Hayato’s apartment and is shock to see Hayato and Rena hugging each other. She wonders what is going on.

    So, the final arc would be how to deal with Hayato’s issues. It is a cliche plot for me wherein the one who always help others will, in the end, be helped by the one whom s/he helped. Since the author is going for butterfly themes and butterfly effect is over, the last meaning of the butterfly here would be the soul of someone departed..Arisa, the butterfly =P Aside from that yukata similarities, I think the trigger for Hayato’s ‘trauma’ are also the two times when he ‘almost’ lost Ageha. Well, since Hayato isn’t telling Ageha anything, Ageha is jumping into conclusions and will now go to a misunderstanding as to what’s really going on. I won’t comment nor speculate much since I already know what happened until the end. ^^;

For those who were asking, Bokutachi wa Shitte Shimatta is still ongoing. It is in the next issue of Cheese. It seems that the author got sick – seems to be a heart problem and her medicine's side effects are awful that she is comparing it to chemotherapy which is worst. Oh, it seems that she had cancer before. She mentioned that the last chapter's ending is vague because she is working on it while in the hospital. Well, she plans to change her working style because of her health problem but hopes to continue the series. She keeps on saying that it is no excuse for readers not to enjoy the series every month. Wow..such a dedicated mangaka. For those who can read Japanese, read it in her blog. The info above is what I can understand after using babelfish so I might be wrong. Let’s hope and pray that she gets well soon.

This month’s Cheese has the calendar. I think they are the first magazine to get their calendar out. And yes, another week has passed and it will be December next week...still no new chapters in BW or public sites. I start to think that I might do them after the archive IF they do come out next week. Oh well, it probably depends on how good the chapter is that I wanted to work on it asap =P Haha..what if they don’t upload anymore did cross my mind. ^^; Oh well, I still have some other series to catch up on so maybe or rather hopefully, those will be out by then or earlier.

Ojousama wa Oyomesama [Chapters 26-40] part 1 of 2
    Friday, November 26, 2010

Thinking that Miju is Yuuga’s ex-girlfriend, Towako tries to show off what a wife can do by treating Yuuga extra nice with a smile plastered on her face. She doesn’t want to show that she is angry even if some other girls are talking with Yuuga since she doesn’t want to be a ‘hassle’. Himeno is going on a guilt trip over what he tried to do with Towako earlier especially since Towako snubs him when they met at the hallway. This made Himeno go complain to Miju about this. Upon learning about the deal that if Himeno’s class win, Towako will date him, Miju decides to help Himeno win. When Himeno asks why she wanted to do irritating things on Yuuga, it turns out that she finds in interesting since he is always so perfect compared to her so making him look irritated makes her happy. She muses that there is no other person who would make her happier than Yuuga whom she likes to bully. It is revealed that Miju has never fallen in love before. While in the bath, Towako tries to scrub naked Yuuga’s back but ended up falling in the water. They kiss but Yuuga senses that she is forcing herself. He left and Towako is still at a loss over ‘competing with the ex-girlfriend’ yet fear of being thought of as troublesome. During the opening ceremonies of the festival, to Yuuga and Towako’s shock, Miju is a special guest. She wants to have a special contest. The others somewhat refuse until Miju says ‘please’. She has mesmerized everyone into submission with her ‘shiny eye’ except for Yuuga, Setsuna, Kaoru, Tsubaki and Utsugi. The others are surprised that Towako is also mesmerized by Miju’s ‘shiny eye’. She orders the charmed people to bring the good looking guys in front. She also calls out to Towako. To their surprise, the guys are to ‘propose’ to Towako and the winner will be based on the approval of the audience [600 people]. Miju is extremely happy upon seeing Yuuga extremely angry. Miju then whispers to Towako to only answer Himeno’s proposal. Charmed Towako says yes. Soon, a lot of guys are proposing. Then, it is Kaoru’s turn. He holds her hair and says that when she graduates, he is going to steal her away. He got 588 points. Soon, it is Setsuna’s turn. His classmates dress him up for a Japanese dance then when he is about to propose, he blushes really red over Towako. Setsuna ends up covering his face with the fan and tells Towako to please not look at him. He got 594 points. Miju notices how he reacted and is very displeased that Setsuna didn’t have that expression when they first met. Yuuga angrily tries to tell Miju to quit it but she gets him up stage and asks him to propose to her since it isn’t fair that he and Towako are classmates. Still charmed Towako is confused but decides to just smile over it. Seeing her smile, Yuuga just mutters his confession to his sister then gives the microphone back at her Just when Yuuga is about to leave, they are all surprised to see Towako crying. Yuuga become more surprised when it is Himeno wipes Towako’s tears.

While Miju happily thinks that Himeno will win this one, Himeno apologizes to Miju that he cannot do it for even if he wants to win against Yuuga, winning this way doesn’t have any meaning for him and Towako said before that ‘love isn’t about competing [winning or losing]’. He pats Towako’s head and says that he cannot feel happy over winning this way if Towako is crying. He tells her to smile. That gave him 600 points. Miju is angry why it ended this way for Yuuga didn’t look that affected, Himeno got the highest points and the person who irritates her is also there [<- Setsuna]. Miju then says that the winner will kiss Towako. This made Tsubaki and Utsugi point their weapons at her neck and tell her not to go overboard on things. This forces Yuuga to use his ‘super shiny eye’ on everyone to scram. After everyone left, angry Yuuga dares his sister to try saying that again and she’ll really see him explode. He tells Towako that they are going home but Towako is already nosebleeding. ^^; Yuuga then happily wipes her nose. Later on, when Towako is back in her normal self, Himeno apologizes for hurting Towako just to win against Yuuga. Towako says that even if she is hurt and shocked but because of everyone’s relationship with each other, she cannot help but compete against Miju even when she was the one who said that ‘love isn’t about competing’. Miju says that Towako really likes Yuuga that she would be even jealous over her who is Yuuga’s 16 year old sister. Towako is shock to learn this. Yuuga realizes that she didn’t know. While Yuuga reprimands his sister to reflect on what she did, Towako cannot believe that she did all those things over a misunderstanding. She feels so small over it that she apologizes which making the others ask why she is apologizing but of course, Towako couldn’t tell them. The next day, at the cultural festival, their class is into making the visitors wear yukata. Yuuga is irritated that Towako always turns away from him whenever their eyes met. It is because Towako cannot get over her embarrassment over what happened. She is surprised when Yuuga is already behind her. Before she can escape, Yuuga pulls her into one of the dressing booth so that they won’t be seen. Yuuga asks if she is still angry because she cried yesterday. He feels guilty since it is the first time he saw her cry. Towako finally confesses that she thought Miju is his ex-girlfriend. Towako blushes when Yuuga asks if she thought that he would put importance to his ex-girlfriend than her. Towako kept on apologizing and Yuuga says that sorry isn’t enough for what she thought he was doing. So as punishment, he wants her to initiate kissing him. Soon, they kiss twice. She then timidly asks him what does the tongue do while kissing for she had read it in books but she doesn’t learned it yet. Yuuga sheepishly smiles and tells her not to think too much. He then kisses her. Unfortunately, their classmates are already looking for them. Yuuga kisses her one more time and says that they’ll continue later on. As Yuuga goes out, Towako feels faint for she feels like she doesn’t want to let him go and she would want him to touch her more. While Towako is freaking out over this, Reimi just looks sad as she looks at Towako. Yasumochi [afro hair classmate] wears fake funny glasses to cheer Reimi up. He asks her if she wants to go out with her afterwards but Reimi refuses. Kaoru enters the room and tells Saho that she looks nice in the yukata unlike the kimono she usually wears. Saho tells him not to talk to her in school. She then leaves. While they are having fun, some guy in a dark room is looking at Towako’s pictures that he had taken.

Soon, the winners are announced. Himeno’s class wins. To Towako’s shock, Himeno wants her to honor the agreement of going out with him for a date. Yuuga looks furious. Himeno tells her that he will try to make it up to her with that date regarding the troublesome things he had done. Towako cannot answer. Preparing to leave, Yuuga just whispers to Himeno that he will just lend Towako to him for one day. After exchanging angry glances, Himeno starts shouting out loud as to who wants to see Yuuga as a girl. Himeno puts a wig on Yuuga and tries to put a dress on him. [It seems that their class is reverse gender cosplay] Towako is happy that things turned out okay. Somewhere else, Miju has finished her photo shoot and joins the others to rest. The other girls notice that she looks unusually happy. After confirming with her manager that she is free during daytime tomorrow, she happily tells the others that a good friend is going out with her sis-in-law and she cannot wait to see her brother’s expression. The photographer overhears them. That night, Towako is wondering what to wear for the date. Tsubaki tells her that is important but what of Yuuga’s feelings. Facing away from her, Yuuga is already in bed. She wonders if he is jealous though there is no need for him to be. Yuuga is surprised when Towako sneaks into the futon/bed with him. She tells him that she is happy to see that his and Himeno’s relationship is really good and it is quite special so she wants to get along with Himeno who had apologized. Even if a lot has happened, he doesn’t seem to be a bad guy and he is Yuuga’s friend. “I want to cherish the people whom Yuuga cherishes. So, tomorrow..” She ends up sleeping. Yuuga turns to look at her and says, “It’s only for tomorrow, idiot.” The next day, Towako bids everyone goodbye. Yuuga lamely says okay that Towako wonders if he is still angry. After they left, Setsuna appears behind Yuuga and angrily shouts why Yuuga just look blankly while sending her away. He asks her if he isn’t worried. Yuuga says that it cannot be helped and what is he to do. Setsuna angrily says that they are going to follow them. At first Yuuga refuses since he thinks that nothing bad will happen but Setsuna tells him not to be naive for just being with Towako, any guy would fall for her in a short time. Yuuga blushes really red since that is what happened with him. Then, Miju appears and happily urges Yuuga to go. Soon, they forced him to go. =P At Sengoku amusement park, Towako meets up with Himeno. Himeno comments that she looks cute in her casual clothes. Towako thanks him and says that Yuuga never told her so. Himeno says that Yuuga won’t say but he is dishonest since inside his heart, thought of it. Yuuga is fuming in anger as Miju and Setsuna teases him over what Himeno said. Tsubaki and Utsugi also came along. Yuuga is flustered and angry when Himeno is holding Towako’s hand. While they were stalking the couple, they didn’t notice that behind them, someone is also looking at the couple. Himeno and Towako see the mascot and happily took pictures with it. The others wonder if they are kids since they are still doing that. Towako begins to wonder about what Himeno thinks of her but she dismisses it that they are friends. Soon, they are going to ride on a horror roller coaster. Setsuna says that they are to follow. Yuuga is reluctant but Miju forces him to ride it. The couple had fun riding it. Setsuna and others are okay except for Yuuga who looks really ill. Tsubaki asks him if he is alright and Yuuga tries to say, yes. Unfortunately for him, the couple rode a lot more thrill rides and they have to follow them.

Soon, Yuuga looks really ill while sitting on the bench. Miju is super delighted while Setsuna scowls at Yuuga for being useless. It turns out that Yuuga is afraid of heights. Yuuga is flustered when Miju just have to point it out to him that Towako and Himeno are really having fun. Setsuna also looks flustered upon seeing the two. He then offers a drink to Miju for screaming a lot in the rides. Miju takes the drink even if she claims that she is alright. She became furious when Setsuna says that from the start he thinks that she and Yuuga are the same and she is such an arrogant girl, no wonder they are siblings. Miju angrily shouts that he is the one who is arrogant since he is called ‘Setsuna-sama’ on stage. Setsuna asks if she went came to the cultural festival. Miju exclaims that she didn’t come to see him. Setsuna says that he didn’t say that. While Utsugi is watching Miju and Setsuna, Tsubaki asks if Yuuga can walk now and he says yes. Soon, the couple is in a restaurant. Towako tells Himeno that she is having a great time for even if it isn’t the first time to she go there. She says that it is the first time she rode thrill rides and she’s having fun is definitely because she is with him. Towako thanks him. Himeno starts asking Towako if she had more fun with him compared with Yuuga. He tries to jump into conclusion that she likes him more but he stops and admits that this date is to show off his assets to her but he changed his mind now. Rather than competing, what’s more important is for him to be also happy while with her. Towako is truly happy over this for it is the first time she has a male friend. Himeno then offers to tell Towako whatever she asks of him regarding Yuuga. Towako apologizes and says that even if she wanted to ask a lot of questions (but compared to his ex, family and childhood – other important stuff), she wants to wait for Yuuga to be the one to tell her all about it. Himeno is disappointed but decides to tell her one thing. Yuuga won’t talk about Towako [<- keeping her a secret?] and he is really infatuated with her so much to the degree that his ex fundamentally cannot be compared to her on equal terms. Towako blushes and asks if that is true. Himeno says it is so and he should know since he is Yuuga’s rival since birth. Towako is super happy to hear this that she cannot help but smile. Himeno pouts and says that Yuuga is irritating for he gets everything. At first, Towako is puzzled then she remembers that Yuuga got the girl whom Himeno likes that she wonders what Himeno is thinking when he said that. Himeno admits that he is jealous of Yuuga and wonders who’ll fall in love with him [Himeno]. Towako tries to comfort him that there is a girl for him but Himeno made it appear that he is teasing her. He then says that it would be nice if Towako likes him. This surprises Towako that she cannot reply.

On the second floor of the restaurant, Yuuga and others are watching the two. Looking away, Yuuga says that he wants to go home. Then, Miju screams since it seems like Himeno is kissing Towako for he was leaning to her. The others then notice that Yuuga is gone. Yuuga has gone downstairs and pushes Himeno away. He shouts what Himeno is doing. It turns out that Himeno is wiping the table over a spilled cup of tea. Outside the restaurant, Yuuga is flustered-tense as Towako angrily exclaims over how could Yuuga thought that they were kissing and he is stalking them. Yuuga tries to say that he isn’t alone but the others are already hiding. Towako asks if Yuuga doesn’t trust her. Yuuga timidly says that it isn’t so. Towako thinks that he must be jealous to see how happy she is while having fun with Himeno but she cannot stop herself from feeling happy over it. To Yuuga’s horror and Towako’s delight, Himeno tells the two to ride on a ferris wheel alone together. Yuuga tensely mutters that it is so high. Overhearing them, Miju and Setsuna cannot help but laugh over this. Yuuga is angry at Himeno but Himeno pretends to be innocent over Yuuga’s fear of heights. Himeno taunts Yuuga that isn’t it pitiful that coming to the amusement park yet he cannot ride the ferris wheel with the person he likes. “If it’s me, no matter what, I’ll ride--” Yuuga is totally furious but he cannot refuse happy Towako telling him that they should go. Soon, Yuuga hold hands with her and heads toward the ferris wheel. Himeno looks at them and says, “Yuuga, cherish Towako-chan really well.” He laments about wanting to have a girlfriend, too. He then notices that someone is watching from the bushes. It is the mascot. He goes to the mascot and wants another picture but the mascot pulls his hand away and runs off. Himeno falls down and notices a small shed. Later on, Miju is amazed that Yuuga went with Towako to the ferris wheel on his own initiative. Setsuna doesn’t look that happy over it. Utsugi then suggests that Setsuna and Miju ride together to stalk over the other two. Setsuna says that he’ll ride with Utsugi. Tsubaki tells Setsuna that it looks unnatural if it is two guys so he should ride with Miju and she’ll ride with Utsugi. Soon, those two are also forced to ride. In the ferris wheel, Towako happily tells Yuuga over how nice the scenery is. She then notices that Yuuga looks really ill. She asks what happened to him but he just says that it is nothing. Towako wonders when she saw him like that before. She then realizes that it was when they ride the helicopter home. She apologizes for not noticing that he is afraid of heights. Flustered Yuuga tells her to be quiet because right now, he is in a bad situation and he’s embarrassed about it. Towako holds his arm and says but right now, she is really happy and doesn’t being like this [holding him] make him less afraid. Yuuga then holds her closer to him.

In the other carriage, Miju exclaims over how lovey-dovey the married couple are. She shouts at Setsuna who is looking at the side that they are doing this yet he isn’t looking. Irritated Setsuna says that she is like a housefly that has a great degree of brother complex. Miju exclaims how come she has a brother complex. Setsuna calls her childish for doing irritating things just for Yuuga to notice her. Flustered and embarrassed, Miju shouts that he was the one who has a sister complex for always saying ‘sister, sister’. Miju becomes tense when Setsuna didn’t reply. Miju glances at him and wonders if he is angry. Without looking at her, Setsuna says, “..she isn’t my ‘sister’. I would rather that we are real siblings, that way, I can just give up..” Miju looks sadly at him then blushes. At another carriage, Utsugi laments that Setsuna is always looking at the side and he should at least talk with Miju. Tsubaki reprimands him for being meddlesome. Utsugi exclaims that Miju has some feelings for Setsuna and he wants Setsuna to find happiness. He then thanks Tsubaki for helping him carry out this idea. Tsubaki tells him to at least be more conscious about this love stuff regarding his own self. Utsugi doesn’t understand what she meant so Tsubaku just tells him that he’s stupid. After the ride, ill Yuuga sits on the bench. Towako offers to buy him a drink. She meets up with the mascot. She asks him where to buy some drinks but he lures her to a secluded area. Then, the mascot put a cloth with chloroform on her nose-mouth that soon, she fell unconscious. The mascot takes off the outfit and it is the photographer earlier. Soon, Towako is late that Setsuna argues over Yuuga for letting Towako go alone. Miju says that she has work so she is leaving. Setsuna tells Utsugi to go with Miju since it is dangerous for a girl to walk alone. Miju is happy about this until Utsugi tells Setsuna to go with them but Setsuna is more worried about his sister. Flustered, Miju says that there is no need and she’ll get her manager to bring her to work. Her phone starts ringing and it is her manager telling her that the photographer cannot be contacted so the shoot is postponed. Tsubaki calls out to them and says that she found Towako’s bag as well as the mascot’s costume beside it. Himeno calls Yuuga and tells him about finding the real ‘man in the mascot’ being tied up in the shed. They begin to think that this is related with the missing Towako. Towako wakes up and finds herself in a room filled with her pictures. She recalls what happened and wonders if she has been kidnapped. She freaks out over this since even if this isn’t the first time she was kidnapped but it is the first time for her to see so many pictures of herself in the room. She notices that she isn’t tied up and wonders who did this to her.

The photographer enters the room and calls her by name. He asks if she is awake. The man opens the lights and apologizes for doing that to her. She wonders if she has seen this man before. Then she remembers him to be Miju’s photographer. The photographer is happy over this for ever since he saw her, he has always been thinking of her. Towako looks aghast and wonders if he is a stalker. She decides to refuse him by saying that she has a husband. He tells her that she is just with some other guy. He also says that he thought she is the type of girl who is beautiful while thinking of only one man. Towako tries to protest that she only thinks of Yuuga but the man exclaims that before she is dirtied, he would.. Suddenly, her little monkey jumps out from her chest and hits the man’s face. The man grabs it. Towako exclaims for him not to be violent with it but it turns out that the man just gives the monkey a banana. The man tells Towako to listen to what he says else something will happen to the monkey. He tells her to first strip off her clothes. Soon, using modern technology, [probably satellites] Utsugi and others look for Towako. Yuuga asks worriedly if they can find Towako. Setsuna says that is how they tend to look for Towako when she is kidnapped. Soon, Utsugi exclaims that he has found some place that looks suspicious. They all rush to go ride the car but Tsubaki says that is too slow, they are going to fly via helicopter. She asks if Yuuga is okay with that. Yuuga nervously smiles and says that it is fine. While the monkey is sleeping after eating, the photographer looks at a photograph of a woman in a bridal dress with a groom who isn’t shown. He says that he never thought that this day will finally happen. He calls the woman in the picture as his goddess. Towako looks at the bridal gown that she is made to wear. She doesn’t want to wear it for someone else other than Yuuga yet she doesn’t know how to escape from that predicament. Her bag is missing and her cellphone is in it. While looking at the bridal gown, she notices some books on the shelves. She starts looking at them that the photographer is furious that she is looking at those. He tells her to quickly change. Towako mentions about the pictures looking nice. He says that even if the outfit and make-up are perfect, but they aren’t the ones whom he wanted to take pictures of. Towako says that she isn’t the one whom he wanted to take a picture of, either. Towako says that based on the pictures wherein there is a certain hairstyle and wearing of kimono, the one he is looking for is-- Just then, they were interrupted by a loud noise. Towako runs out and opens the window. It is a helicopter hovering above. Yuuga [who screams while jumping with Tsubaki] and others jump down with parachutes. Towako is happy that everyone came. Setsuna immediately grabs the photographer for daring to kidnap Towako. Towako tries to stop him and says that person is.. Miju tells them that it is Kondou-san, her photographer and in their field, he is known as Kondou Sadao. Setsuna mutters as to where he heard that name before. Towako removes Sadao’s glasses and tells them that it is their uncle. Yuuga says that he is like Towako’s father but only younger. Setsuna says that he heard their father has a younger brother but why would he do this kind of thing. Sadao admits that he is their uncle, Nobu’s younger brother. [Nobu got married into the Gokurakuin family so he adopts his wife’s surname.]

He apologizes for looking sloppy. Yuuga and Setsuna think that isn’t the issue here. Sadao tells them that he ran away 13 years ago in order not to have anything to do with the Gokurakuin family. They ask why he kidnapped Towako. Sadao says that it is because she looks very much like.. Towako finishes the sentence that she looks like her mother. She tells them that the compilation of kimono pictures that he took were the same ones that her mother gave to her. He missed her mother that is why he is chasing after her mother through Towako. Sadao admits that her mother, Tokiko, is his first love. He was 19 while Tokiko was 18. When they first met, he thought she was a goddess for there is no such beautiful woman like her again. She looked so radiant when she wore the white bridal gown. Yuuga and Setsuna are shock when they learned that Sadao wanted Towako to wear the gown. Sadao laments that the first time he met Tokiko is also the day when she got married to his brother. He can no longer watch them since everyday, they progress and get along with each other [probably more lovey-dovey]. Setsuna somewhat scowls over this as Miju looks at him. Sadao tells them that he ran away but he couldn’t forget about Tokiko. While he is depressed over this, Sadao saw Towako so he wanted to take her picture in place of Tokiko in a bridal dress. Yuuga angrily voices out his displeasure over using Towako just for his own selfishness and doing this kind of method to do so. Towako holds his arm for him not to be too harsh. Sadao exclaims that Yuuga won’t understand because he attained love just because his birthday is the same with [Towako]. He had always cursed his birthday as to why he didn’t have the same birthday as Tokiko or even at least be born in the same year. “..why does it have to be brother? Even if we weren’t born in the same day, I still love her very much..” That made everyone quiet. It seems that what he said had affected Yuuga and Setsuna. Towako angrily tells him not to be unreasonable. “Do you think that what’s different between you and my father is only because of the birthday? I had asked my parents. From the start, my mother didn’t want to get married to my father, but father really did his best [to woo her]! Father is the same with you, he fell for mother at first sight..but uncle, what have you done? You didn’t convey your feelings. You didn’t do your best to try to make mother like you. And moreover, you didn’t forget for their sake. [<- not sure on the last one but it is like forget and move on, I guess.] You didn’t do anything.” There is a silence in the room. Towako clears her throat and says that Sadao is now going to her house together with them. Everyone sweatdrops and Sadao freaks out that he isn’t prepared. Towako tells Tsubaki and Utsugi to help Sadao prepare. While they are busy over Sadao, Towako didn’t notice that Yuuga and Setsuna look flustered over what she said earlier. At that time, Towako didn’t know that something will happen in the future [because of her and her uncle’s conversation].

Yuuga dreams of the time when Towako proposed to him and how close Towako is with his other rivals (Setsuna, Kaoru and Himeno)/how they profess their love to her. While Towako is with the other guys, she says that with Yuuga, they only have the same birthday so is it really the right thing for her to marry him. Yuuga wakes up then sees Towako looking down at him and touching his forehead. Towako says that he is frowning so she thought that by touching him,it would make him feel comfortable. She asks if he is having a nightmare. Yuuga sits up and holds on to her. He tells her that it is a depressing dream. Towako finds him really cute doing that so she hugs him back and tells him that it is alright, she is there for him. Towako is puzzled when he pulls away from her then looks at her. He asks what time it is. Towako says that it is 8 o’ clock and everyone went to sleep upon returning home. Yuuga gets out of his futon to get up. Towako thinks that Yuuga is acting strange since yesterday. She assumes that he is tired since he did jump out in a parachute even if he is scared of heights. While she tries to tell him to rest a while if he is tired, they met Sadao, who looks neat and clean now, at the hallway. He tells them that he wants to greet them before going home because he hasn’t been working for a long time. Sadao apologizes for the trouble he caused and thanks them for bringing him to the house. Towako happily says that it is alright and she is honored to be of help. He says that it was like a dream for him to meet Tokiko again. Flashback on last night, Tokiko happily greeted Sago that it has been a long time. With puppy eyes, Sadao looked utterly happy. Tokiko told him that she heard he became a well-known photographer and it is nice to see him looking well that she would like for them to spend time together like before. Sadao happily said yes. Then looking like medusa, Tokiko told Sadao that for him to suddenly do that to her beloved daughter, there better be no next time. Sadao freaked out and said yes. Sadao started professing how beautiful Tokiko is and he only has eyes for her. Tokiko laughed and said ‘not really’ but for her, her husband and daughter is more important. While Nobu looked gloomy at the side, Sadao exclaimed that it is alright, for he had re-confirmed his feelings once again and from then on, he will depend on that love to live on, even if it will never be returned. “So, with that, I shall return again!” End flashback. Sadao apologizes to Yuuga for saying such cruel words to him. Yuuga looks sad but says that it is nothing. Sadao says that even if he has seen them for a short while but he is really envious for he knows that they mutually like each other so he cannot forgive if the other goes out with some other person. Towako timidly apologizes for that. Looking at Yuuga, Sadao smiles and tells them that the two of them will definitely have no problems. Yuuga seriously says that Sadao did think that if it isn’t for the family rule, it won’t be him [Yuuga] who is there. Towako is surprised that Yuuga is asking this. Sadao says that he can say that but this world is governed by rules so it is useless to even hypothesize about ‘what if’ and moreover, Yuuga is conforming with the condition. They were interrupted when Tokiko happily calls out to Sadao and tells him to wear a necktie if he is going out. After Tokiko put the necktie, *poof* Sadao becomes chibi, too like Towako’s father. Tokiko happily says that he is like Nobu - so cute. While Nobu doesn’t look happy over that, Yuuga wonders if the chibi thing is inherited and Towako didn’t notice anything about it.

Tsubaki calls the couple and apologizes for failing to protect Towako when she is with them so she should be punished. Towako says that no, Tsubaki and others saved her and she is safe so she should rather thank her. She then asks about Setsuna who didn’t return to the main house yesterday. Tsubaki tells her that Setsuna is lying in bed though he said that ‘I’m fine so please don’t worry.’ At the other house, Utsugi urges Setsuna who is lying down to please eat something. Setsuna refuses. Utsugi continues to urge him to eat else his immune system fails and his illness would recur. He also urges him not to keep on lying down when he isn’t sick. Setsuna says that it is alright if he is going to end up like Sadao. Utsugi assumes that he is talking about Sadao’s appearance but Setsuna corrects him and says that Sadao is the future him. “Holding on a dream throughout my life that cannot come true and cursing my fate. ..before, I even thought of using some underhanded ways to get sister in my hand, but not even once had I tried to tell my thoughts [/feelings] to her. It’s because I’m afraid. If sister realize that I’m no longer her ‘younger brother’ but rather as ‘me’, she will definitely be perplexed and distressed [by it], then afterwards, afraid. I’m really afraid for things to progress to that..but on the other hand, as early as possible, I wanted to tear off this ‘younger brother’ mask. I’ve always wanted to. [I’m] Such a failure.” Later on, Himeno and Miju are wearing kimono. Himeno happily poses about and says that it is the first time he wore one. Miju says that it is the same with her and this is of different style from the one she wears for her New Year picture. While Yuuga tries to tell them to go home already, the two happily tell each other that it suits them. They ask Towako if it is so but Towako is absentminded. She snaps out of it and says that it suits them. Yuuga asks if she is still worried about Setsuna. She tells them about why would Setsuna tell her not to go and maybe his condition is really bad since he didn’t talk at all after they returned yesterday. She fretfully says out loud about the possibility of his illness recurring. Yuuga tells her to leave Setsuna alone for there should be times when he wants to be alone. Towako is somewhat irritated when Miju tells her that she is overprotecting Setsuna that is why Setsuna couldn’t leave her. Towako shouts back that they are siblings so it is only natural for her to worry. While remembering Setuna telling her that they aren’t siblings, Miju angrily exclaims that so-called siblings should be more honest, annoying and makes one infuriated. “If the other one is sick, you should be saying ‘Hey, you better not infect me with it’.” Yuuga gets angry about that while Towako and Himeno sweatdrop. Miju continues to shout that it is abnormal to be that deeply worried when they aren’t even going steady. Himeno teases flustered Miju that she really likes Yuuga that any other guy won’t do for her, and she wanted Yuuga to be deeply worried about her. Miju exclaims for him to shut up for those are two different things. Towako begins to wonder if her relationship with Setsuna isn’t normal. They were not of the same blood and weren’t together since birth but she knows that her relationship with Setsuna isn’t the same with Yuuga and Miju’s. Even if she never thought of what a ‘real brother-sister’ is like so is it wrong to want to be ‘always be together’.

That night, Yuuga has just finished taking a bath. He goes to the room and sees that Towako is writing a message on her cellphone. Yuuga takes the phone and reads the message of ‘Are you feeling okay? I’m very worried, tomorrow..’. He coldly looks at Towako and asks if she is that worried about Setsuna. Towako tells him that it is because no matter what is said, Setsuna is her younger brother. Yuuga puts the cellphone on the table and starts kissing Towako passionately. She wonders what’s going on when suddenly Yuuga pushes her down on the floor. He looks seriously at her then says, “..I want you..to become mine..” She says yes then they kiss again. Towako wonders why Yuuga would say that while looking like that, when she already belonged to him. She thinks that Yuuga is caressing her passionately yet gently that she felt she couldn’t breath and what he said still echoes in her ear. Towako starts to freak out as she wonders what to do and is this the so-called thing. She wonders why Yuuga would suddenly become rough. She’s losing strength and her mind is going blank. If this continues.. Holding his face, she mutters his name. Flustered Yuuga asks if she doesn’t want to. Towako is puzzled for there is no reason for her to not want to. She tells him it’s okay for they are a married couple. “So..” The phone rings and Towako suddenly sits up and exclaims, “Setsuna!!” She answers the phone and asks if he is alright. Setsuna apologizes to her for not contacting or emailing her. Towako says that it is alright and is he feeling well. Setsuna tells her that he is fine but he isn’t going to school tomorrow. Towako tells him then don’t go, she’ll see him tomorrow. Setsuna tells her that there is no need and she shouldn’t come. Towako is surprised by that. Setsuna assures her that he is fine. Towako just says okay. Setsuna bids her goodbye then hangs up. Towako looks at the phone and thinks that it is the first time for her to hear Setsuna’s voice sounding so cold. Towako turns to Yuuga to tell him about Setsuna but Yuuga looks extremely depressed. Towako freaks out that they were in the middle of lovey-dovey when she-- She apologizes and tells him that they should continue. Yuuga exclaims how they can continue. This surprises Towako. Looking away, Yuuga asks her as to what is he to her. Towako asks what he is saying for of course, he is her husband. Yuuga exclaims that is what he is asking, what is a husband to her. He knows that she really treasures her family member like how he dotes on Miju but in his heart, the one whom he’ll prioritize will be her. Flustered, Towako asks if he is saying that she doesn’t prioritize him. Yuuga is walking away so Towako grabs his back and asks if it is because she took Setsuna’s call. She tells him that Setsuna is her younger brother and his body is weak when he was young so she’s very worried about him. Yuuga takes her hand off him and tells her that for her, that is something normal. He understands that is something that cannot be helped. He isn’t the same with her. “Even if I understand..but still..I usually would feel very impatient.”

Ojousama wa Oyomesama [Chapters 26-40] part 2 of 2
    Friday, November 26, 2010

After Yuuga leaves the room, Towako wonders if she is the one making him feel impatient and does he felt that way from the start. It is obvious that they are closer to each other than compared to anyone else and their feelings always interwine. Of course, Yuuga is the one whom she’ll first prioritize but then, Setsuna is also important to her so can’t she do that. Is that strange? Towako starts to cry for the most important person to her just left her. She doesn’t want him to say that ‘it cannot be helped’. She wants him to get angry and say that it is her fault. She doesn’t want him to be stingy with his words and he shouldn’t feel that this is something ‘that cannot be helped’. “Do not just leave me behind.” While cooking, Towako asks Tsubaki if she and Setsuna are strange. Since Tsubaki didn’t understand, Towako clarifies if they aren’t like a normal brother-sister. Tsubaki says that they are normal. Towako asks what Tsubaki’s relationship with her younger sister is like. Tsubaki tells her that her family is always fighting and putting traps so for her, her younger sister is a ‘cannot be trusted’ enemy. Towako exclaims that isn’t normal. Tsubaki corrects her that is what’s ‘normal’ in her family. Towako says that she is right. She apologizes to Tsubaki. Tsubaki wisely tells her that everyone has their own definition of ‘normal’ so she can understand if how Towako only treats Setsuna is like that of an ordinary brother-sister [in her perspective, I guess]. Towako is delighted to hear this that she says that no matter what others say, they are a normal brother-sister. Tsubaki thinks that Setsuna doesn’t think that way though. Towako continues to say that it cannot be helped even if others would say it is strange. She remembers what Yuuga just said. She wonders if Yuuga plans to endure it by himself because she isn’t ‘normal’. Towako angrily shouts what’s with that for how is she to know if Yuuga doesn’t tell her. Tsubaki tells her that in her house, there is a teaching that says if one wants to know about the truth of something, one should investigate it by oneself. In bed, Yuuga wakes up and sees that it is already 7 o’clock. He wonders if Towako will come wake him up or not. The door opens. Sitting in seiza position and all dressed up in a kimono, Towako tells him to get up and get ready. Yuuga sits up and asks what she meant by get ready. Carrying a tray of food, Towako tells him to hurry eat and dress up. While Tsubaki is already undressing him, Yuuga tells her to wait and what’s going on, aren’t they going to school. Towako tells him that this is more important than school for they are going to deepen their bonds as a married couple. Yuuga asks where they are going. Towako says that they are going to his house. Yuuga freaks out over this as to why it ended up this way. Towako tells him to come for they are going.

Meanwhile, Setsuna is still lying in bed. He gets an email from Towako telling him that she is going out for a while and if there is any problem, he should quickly contact her. He continues to lie down when the peace and quiet is shattered by Miju who comes in with Utsugi. Miju exclaims what he is doing that he is shutting himself in the house. Setsuna angrily asks what of it. Miju says that there is a change of plans at work so right now, she is free that is why she came. He tells her to go to school. She says that Yuuga and others aren’t at school and Setsuna is just sleeping at home so get up. Setsuna tells her that he isn’t feeling well so he doesn’t have time to accompany her. Miju tells him that he’s lying for she has heard from Utsugi that he is faking his illness. Miju quickly pulls away Setsuna’s blanket and tells him to be quick and accompany her in having some fun. Aghast, Setsuna shouts that he doesn’t want to. Miju ignores him and tells him to be quick. To Setsuna’s irritation, Utsugi also tells him to go with Miju. Later on, Towako is nervous that she is going to Yuuga’s home. Also in formal Japanese attire, Yuuga still wonders why things turned out this way. Towako says that even if she had called to talk with Yuuga’s mother before to exchange ‘I’ll be under your care’ after the wedding, it will be her first time to meet his mother. While Towako wonders if she is dressed right, Yuuga says that it doesn’t matter but rather, his mother might not be at home since she’s working. Towako tells him that she has already scheduled this with her. Yuuga’s phone rings. Yuuga gets a message from his mother telling there are two emergency patients so she might not be able to see them today. Towako gloomily thinks that it cannot be helped and it is hard work for a nurse. Yuuga asks Towako really want to see his mother that she would sudden come here. Towako says that it is because she thinks that this cannot go on [and not see her?] Yuuga asks if it is about last night. He apologizes and says that what he said is too much though staying here won’t resolve anything so they should go home. Towako exclaims that she doesn’t want to because what Yuuga said yesterday is what’s really in his heart. She also exclaims that he thinks that he isn’t ‘the same with her’ and she makes him feel impatient. “I don’t like that! Yuuga is always the one who is enduring..and I only understanding my side of things, if I know the kind of surroundings and how you grew up in..perhaps, I can understand more of your feelings..” Yuuga somewhat blushes over this. Towako feels ashamed that Yuuga is always understanding her and she has to be ‘awakened’ for her to notice this. She always thought that she should ‘wait for you to tell me’ but some important and basic things, she should be the one go and try to understand and for this, today she..

Noticing that some women are looking at them and whispering as to what’s up with them for wearing kimono and shouldn’t they be in school, Yuuga tells Towako that they should go in his house to talk. Inside, Towako is shock to see how messy Yuuga’s house is. Yuuga angrily thinks that it is all because of Miju. Towako says that when she came before, it is quite tidy so could it be that their servant is on a break. Picking up things, Yuuga tells her that they don’t have maids so if he is at home, he’ll be the one who’ll do the housework. Towako freaks out over this and asks if he meant cooking, laundry, cleaning as housework. Yuuga says yes. She asks if he does everything. He tells her that only the rich people have servants and they do their own housework which is common knowledge. Towako is totally shock by this and why does it feel as if their lifestyle isn’t the same. She finds him amazing to be doing the things which she usually let others do for her. While Yuuga complains about why he came home to do this, Towako happily tells him that she’ll help him tidy things up. She wants to try out the things that Yuuga usually does. Yuuga tries to stop her when she offers to do the laundry. Then, there is a sound of something falling down. Yuuga then tells her to first change her clothes. Soon, Towako is wearing Yuuga’s shirt and pants. Yuuga asks if that is okay for she can wear Miju’s. Towako says that it is okay. Towako is happy about it since it is different from the ones she usually wears. Yuuga sweatdrops when Towako also thanks him for the underwear. [I think she felt down in the water so she is wet and has to change everything.] Yuuga tells her that her hair must be heavy styled so sit on the bed and he’ll fix it. Yuuga combs her hair. Towako happily thinks that it is like the time before they got married. Towako thinks of her fear about the future of Yuuga no longer gently touching her but she will do her best in order for that not to happen. Towako asks him what they usually eat at home. Yuuga says that it is nothing special just fry or boil since he is the one who is cooking. Towako asks if there is any special food that his mother makes that is his favorite. While braiding her hair, Yuuga says it’s stewed pumpkin. Towako exclaims that she is going to make that. He tells her that there is no need to and there is no pumpkin in their house. Towako says that they’ll go buy one. She tells him to teach her how to cook it. Yuuga then remembers Towako telling his uncle that he didn’t do anything to make her mother like him whereas her father did his best. Towako asks if he is finished and can she move now. Yuuga says no then he hugs her. He tells her that he will also cook something for her. They look at each other. Towako thinks that there would definitely be hardships while they are together forever so they should both do their best for it won’t do if it is only one who is working on it. The two smile at each other then they kiss. Towako thinks that even if it is a light kiss, it still sends her heart aflutter. Yuuga smiles and tells her that after they tidy things up, they’ll go shopping. Towako smiles back and says that they should do their best for a lot of rooms need cleaning. Yuuga has to tell her that their house is only room 206 and not the whole apartment. Towako goes into shock over this.

Meanwhile, Setsuna is furious as to why he has to wear those casual clothes that Miju picked for him at a store. Miju just exclaims that it really suits him. Miju urges him to buy some more but Setsuna refuses. While walking in the streets, Miju tells him to buy more since he has the money. She tells him that store is not bad but Setsuna stubbornly says that he doesn’t want to. Miju tells him that shopping can be relaxing. Setsuna turns around to her and asks if she is worried about him. Miju blushes then angrily denies it and says that she is just free so she accompanied him to have fun and she brought him to Shibuya to show him how amazing she is [as a model] since everywhere, there are posters and advertisements of her. She asks doesn’t he feel lucky to be shopping with someone like her. Setsuna sighs and says that it is inevitable then he’ll accompany her in passing time. Miju angrily exclaims that is her line. Setsuna smiles and asks where they are going next. He also asks her what else is she amazing at and teach him about it. Miju is blushing yet irritated that she lost to him. She exclaims that looking at him infuriates her. To her irritation, he tells her that it is mutual. Towako narrates that what two people feels and likes are quite different. In the supermarket, Towako tells Yuuga that she likes broccoli. Yuuga says that he doesn’t like it because it doesn’t taste good. Towako says that it is delicious so should they buy it. He tells her to buy what she wants. Towako decides to buy her share of it and not Yuuga’s since he doesn’t like it. Towako narrates that they just have to hold on to each other, mutually understand each other and do their best..and things will definitely be alright. Somewhere else, Saho had just returned home. A servant welcomes her with the title of ojousama. Saho tells her that she already said not to address her like that. Saho then notices a light haired young man asking where this place is. Saho asks what he just said. The man is holding his chest. The maid tells her that it is dangerous so she must get away from the man. Suddenly, the man faints. Towako narrates that she firmly believes that they can be together forever. At a bowling alley, Setsuna has scored a strike. Miju muses that he is really the type who can do everything which makes one feel irritated. The ball he used is an 8 pound ball. Then, they hear a couple of girls saying if it is Miju but then, is that other guy her boyfriend, an actor perhaps but they cannot see the face. They wonder if it is a love scandal. Before they can spread the news, Miju gives them a shiny eye and tells them that they are only just friends so please don’t spread rumors. The charmed girls say okay. Miju says that it is now her turn to bowl. Later, at the overpass, Setsuna asks if it is okay for her parents that she is having fun until it is late at night. Miju tells him how it could be late when it is just 6pm. [I think] Setsuna tells her that his house has a curfew of 5pm. Miju tells him that even if Yuuga is nagging about it but right now, he isn’t at home. Setsuna asks if she is thinking that even if she goes home, she feels lonely since her ‘beloved’ brother has already married. Flustered Miju shouts for him not to say that and he’s annoying. Setsuna smiles and says, “Sure enough, compared to being flirty a moment ago, right now, for you to say whatever you want to say, is more like your style.” This made Miju blush really red. Miju exclaims if he is being sarcastic and she doesn’t want him to talk like that. She then kept shouting that he’s strange. Turning away, Setsuna says that she’s the one who is strange. He tells her that he lived in a world different from her and he didn’t think that outside of the Gokurakuin’s doors, there is unexpectedly still another world there. Miju says that he’s exaggerating. Setsuna turns to her and smiles. He tells her, “No, regarding this, I want to specially thank you for today.” This made Miju blush that she puts on her sunglasses. Surprised, Setsuna says that there is no need to wear that and no one is looking at them. Miju looks away and says that the sun hurts his eyes. Setsuna tells her that it is already sunset. Looking at the sunset, Setsuna says, “My option, is no longer just that one..”

At Yuuga’s place, they had just finished eating dinner. Towako happily says that the pumpkin is delicious and she would want to do it again at home. While clearing the dishes, Yuuga says okay. Towako offers to be the one to wash the dishes since it was Yuuga who made most of the food. Yuuga refuses since she’ll just break the dishes. Towako whines and insists that she wants to do it. Yuuga holds her head and tells her to just prepare the coffee and wait. Towako blushes upon looking at him. While making coffee, she wonders what’s with his calmness and he’s wearing his glasses. She finds guys strange since he would become jealous then suddenly make the things that she knows into something she isn’t good at. In a lot of areas, he obviously is like a kid since he was in bad mood this morning yet suddenly, he would act like an adult whom she can’t win against him. After drinking a cup of coffee, she goes into Yuuga’s room and begins to observe the things in it which are ‘chosen’ by Yuuga in contrast to the things in his room at her house. She then happily imagines the two of them having a toast in the room. She notices a school yearbook on the shelf. She takes the yearbook when Yuuga is at the door, telling her not to look at things on her own. Towako protests that she hasn’t opened it yet. He tells her that it is nothing, just a yearbook. Soon, the two are looking at Yuuga’s junior high year book. Thinking that this is a lucky find, Towako says that Yuuga looks cute in the pictures. When they saw a picture of Himeno, Towako nervously remembers that Yuuga’s ex-girlfriend might also be in there. She has a pained smile look at Yuuga as she wonders which of the female friends of Yuuga the ex-girlfriend is, since they all look nice. Yuuga tells her that he told her before that he gives out a feeling of being frivolous so a lot of girls would get close to him. To Towako’s shock, Yuuga points to the pictures of many girls whom he has gone steady with. Towako is aghast for there were many of them and they look gorgeous. Pointing to a plain looking black haired girl, Yuuga says that she is the last one whom he has gone steady. Towako wonders why does this person feel different and why Yuuga has become quiet. She then notices that Yuuga looks really serious. He sadly says that he doesn’t quite understand love and has hurt a lot of people. Towako realizes that this is the girl whom Himeno also liked. Towako tries to cheer him up and says that thing is something that is inevitable. Yuuga says that even so, he cannot just treat it as something that didn’t happen. Why did he hurt someone to that degree. It is only now he realized that it is because he is originally like that. And right now, towards Towako, he also always hurt her. When Towako tries to say ‘about that’, Yuuga says, “But, I want to use my own way of cherishing you..from today on, I would persevere even more..”

Towako happily holds on him and thinks that Yuuga is doing his best to cherish her and she has always been doted on. “I’m sorry, I also ought to persevere more..” They were shock when Miju sees them and says, “What--” Miju tells them that it is rare for her to see that the light is on that she wondered what’s up. She reminds them that this isn’t their house. Yuuga asks her why she is dressed up like that. Did she come from work or school. Miju tells him that she went out today with Setsuna. Towako worriedly exclaims that Setsuna said that he isn’t feeling well so is that okay [for him to go out]. Miju tells her that there is no problem with Setsuna at all since they played bowling and he got a high score. Towako looks sad for Setsuna won’t see her but even if she is bothered by it, she couldn’t say so else be told of being overprotective. Miju asks Towako if she is going to stay over. While Towako wonders what to say, Miju smiles and says that they take a bath together. In the bathroom, Towako is shock over how small the bathroom is. Miju tells her to shut up. Towako calms down and thinks that this is what’s ‘normal’ for them. While Yuuga is folding the clothes, he can overhear the girls comparing breast size, etc. He wonders why things end up this way. While Miju is washing Towako’s back, Towako complains why Yuuga didn’t tell her about Miju who is a model. Miju says that it is probably because she has a criminal record. Towako is shock to hear this. Miju says that she deliberately made Yuuga’s ex-girlfriend angry, pretend to be Yuuga’s girlfriend, use shiny eye to control and check out their email (without permission). Towako thinks that even she was controlled. Miju says that it is only with Towako that Yuuga had become particularly angry at her that she won’t be a nuisance again. Towako smiles and says that she really thinks of Yuuga.. Miju tells her not to finish that sentence for isn’t it the same with her and Setsuna. Towako thinks that Miju has a cute side even if she did a lot of cruel things but it is because she’s concerned. Towako happily asks if that is like with a younger sister. Miju asks if it isn’t like that with Setsuna. Towako thinks then says that she doesn’t know. They were together since they were young and she thought that is something natural but for the first time she met him, she felt quite happy. It isn’t because she had a ‘younger brother’ but rather, there is someone who can be with her. Miju asks if the one she likes is Yuuga and if she really likes him. Puzzled, Towako says yes. Miju looks somewhat sad [probably for Setsuna]. Later on, Miju suggests that they all play a game. While they are playing, Towako thinks that she learned a lot of things today – the place where Yuuga lived, what kind of girls he went steady with, what kind of lifestyle he and Miju has, and of those two’s relationship wherein they don’t get along yet it is natural. She felt that this is what a so-called family is that it makes her feel envious for it makes her wonder what she should do to make Setsuna become her family. Soon, the girls have fallen asleep. Yuuga is reading a book while sitting by the bed. Yuuga’s mother [face not shown] enters the room and says that she hurriedly came home and suddenly, she finds that she has two daughters. Yuuga welcomes her home. She looks at Towako’s smiling sleeping face and says, so that is Yuuga’s wife and she looked cuter than in the pictures. She apologizes that she wasn’t able to come earlier. Yuuga says that it is inevitable because she has work and it is no big deal. His mother lightly pats his face and says that he’s quite cold. She asks if that is alright when he is obviously newly married. She tells him that just using his face, a lot of girls would come to him but then, it isn’t a guarantee that they would always stay by his side. Yuuga tells her that he knows and compared before, he thought of things a lot more. His mother then gestures for him to follow him.

At the kitchen[?], his mother shows him an album of young Towako’s pictures. He is surprised to see this. His mother tells him that those pictures of Towako are from 1 year old to 17 year old which her family has sent every year. Yuuga cannot believe that his mother knew all about this. Yuuga asks if she was thinking that she suddenly has a relationship through marriage with a rich family. His mother exclaims, and he suddenly got married [on his own] but she thought that since he decided to get married, that is also okay for she brought him up as a man who can decide on things for himself. “Do you regret it?” Yuuga looks straight at her mother and says, “I won’t.” Her mother smiles and playfully pats his head. She says that’s good for with that expression, he is more confident for an insecure guy is pathetic. Towako still smiles in her sleep as she thinks that it is a good decision to come here for she also wants to be a close family member to Yuuga. At the Gokurakuin house, Towako’s parents are looking at a picture of a pretty looking long-haired girl. They say that time flies so fast and next year, Setsuna will also be 18 years old that it is almost time to start preparing. In Kyoto, the girl in the picture is blushing as she looks at a man wearing glasses writing on the table. Turning to her, the man calls her Mioko and asks what it is. Mioko goes in the room and timidly says that she heard some noise in the room that she thought he, Kyousuke is already awake. Kyousuke asks if that is so for he thought that she is crying again because she has been reprimanded by her grandmother [father’s side] that she would want him to comfort her. Flustered Mioko tells him not to treat her like a kid though for him who is a college student, perhaps she looks a kid to him. “But I..would be of marrying age soon.” Kyousuke asks if she meant a miai [arrange marriage]. Mioko looks surprised then sad. She says that she thinks people from Tokyo are scary but Kyousuke is very nice so it would good if that person is as nice as Kyousuke. Kyousuke seems to look sad about that. At Yuuga’s place, Towako is shock that Yuuga’s mother already came. Yuuga says yes, his mother and Miju are still sleeping. [I guess Yuuga is those type of people who doesn’t need a lot of hours sleep.] Towako starts to cry that she has fallen asleep after being tired from playing so her mother-in-law probably thinks badly of her. Yuuga tries to tell her that his mother doesn’t think that way. Towako wants to go and at least greet her today. Yuuga says that there is no need for that because she needs to sleep for her night shift. Towako cries that she’ll wait for her to wake up. Yuuga tells her that they have to go to school. Towako protests that they came there for this reason. Yuuga sighs. He holds her hands and leans his forehead to hers. He tells her that it is already alright. He smiles at her then she blushes. She says okay. Towako wonders what happened for she calmed down when he smiled and told her that it is alright. Yuuga says that his glasses are a hindrance. He removes it. Blushing Towako tries to protest that his mother and sister are there. Yuuga tells her that it is alright. While Towako exclaims if that ‘it is alright’ meant.., Yuuga is already kissing her. She thinks that her uneasiness yesterday is all gone now.

While Yuuga hugs her, Towako thinks that his body warmth makes her confident and it expresses that ‘forever by your side’ feeling. He whispers if they don’t have to her house to get their uniforms.. She says yes. He then kisses her ear. Soon, Towako is asking what he is doing and he says that they are changing clothes. In the end, Towako hits him on the head for him to know where they are and not to do that. Towako leaves a note for Yuuga’s mother and two gifts for his mother and sister. Towako bid Miju goodbye and Miju just moans yes while sleeping. Yuuga is looking again at Towako’s kid pictures album when Towako says that the car is there so they should go. She notices that Yuuga quickly closes the album. She asks him what it is but Yuuga just says it is nothing. Carrying the album, Yuuga says that they should go. In the car, while holding hands, Towako sadly says that she feels that she doesn’t have that much concern for Setsuna. Yuuga tells her not to mind him about it. Towako says that Setsuna still doesn’t feel well and maybe Setsuna feels that she is very horrid. Yuuga looks at her and says that maybe it is for the best to just let it be [I think he meant naturally resolve]. In school, Towako greets everyone with an alibi that she was sick yesterday. She is surprised to see that Reimi got a new short haircut. [The text here is small but it seems that] according to Saho, after the cultural festival, Reimi and Yasumochi, went out. Yasumochi urged her to get a haircut but it turned out to be too short so he also got a short haircut for her. Reimi blushes and says that Yasumochi is an idiot. Towako smiles and thinks that maybe Reimi thinks of him.. Then, Yasumochi comes in and greets everyone. The girls were in shock for Yasumochi’s short straight hair has become curly again..so he is an afro again. The guys are laughing over this as they pat Yasumochi’s curly hair. Reimi just furiously shouts that he’s an idiot. While Towako is giggling over this, Saho gets a message on her cellphone. She tells Towako that she’ll go out for a while. Towako looks at her as she left and thinks that Saho doesn’t seem to talk about this topic and does she have a lover. Outside the school building, Saho calls out to a guy as Ritsu, the one who fainted in front of her house. Saho tells him that she told him not to come so quickly go back home. “Why did you come?” Ritsu smiles and says that he came to see her and it is boring to wait for her at the house. Saho angrily asks if he really lost his memories for if she realizes that he is just acting, she is going to kick him out of her house. She also tells him to quit saying that stuff for she cannot be deceived. Ritsu laughs and says that she’s quite cold but he is really thankful to her for taking him in even if his background is unknown. Pushing him out, Saho tells him that it is because she is hiding it [/allowed by her father; not sure since the word is blurry] temporarily so he shouldn’t cause any trouble and just go home. Ritsu asks why so fast when it isn’t easy to get in the school. He looks into the school building and sees Kaoru talking with another teacher. Ritsu muses that there is such a young teacher in their school. Saho looks tense. Kaoru notices them and looks at them. Saho knit her eyebrows while looking at Kaoru before urging Ritsu to go home again. Towako narrates that no matter who, would face all sorts of situations and there will be some that are unavoidable huge things. Even they have those but if she’s with Yuuga, she can definitely overcome.

Towako and Yuuga return home but was told by Tsubaki to go to the main house since they are called by Towako’s parents. In a room, Setsuna looks surprised after being told that he is going to be set up for a miai. The other party is the ojousama of the Yachiougi family who is 17 years old like Setsuna and her name is Mioko. Yuuga asks if the Yachiougi is one of the five main families. Towako says it is so and they are one of the famous in Kyoto and they seem to be into silks.. She gets interrupted when Tokiko tells Setsuna that they feel a refined girl suits him and the other party is also interested in him that they want him to go to them as a ‘son-in-law’ [marry into her family]. Towako and Setsuna look surprised. Towako asks if that meant Setsuna will go stay in Kyoto after the marriage. Tokiko says that’s right, they would be lonely then though the wedding will be until Setsuna becomes 18 years old. Towako is flustered that Setsuna is going to some place far away. She wonders why she is unnerved by it when she already decided not to meddle into Setsuna’s.. While Setsuna looks at the picture of Mioko, they tell him that the miai will be held on Saturday. Setsuna just says, understood. Setsuna, together with Utsugi, starts to walk back to his place. Towako is worried as she looks at his direction. Yuuga pats her shoulder and gently pushes her to Setsuna’s direction. Towako realizes that he is telling her to go after Setsuna. Yuuga tells her that he’s going ahead. Towako smiles at him and thanks him. Towako runs after Setsuna and calls out to him. Without looking back, Setsuna asks what it is. Towako thinks that he is still using that cold voice and she feels that if this continues, Setsuna will really go to a far away place but she couldn’t tell him, ‘don’t go’. Putting on a smile, Towako tells him that it’s great for the girl is very cute. “She really..is a match with you..” She is surprised when he says, “Yes. But, only from you, I do not want to hear those words.” Setsuna turns around and hugs her. Towako is puzzled. Setsuna then says, “Goodbye.” Towako remembers the past. Flashback: Tokiko called out to young Towako and told her that she will have a younger brother. He is the son of a family that is of the same world they are in and by chance, he will become part of their family. Towako thought that this means that he would be with her forever. She smiled when young Setsuna called her ‘sister’. There are scenes of playing with Setsuna, taking care of him when he is sick and going to school together. She had thought that because he is her younger brother, he absolutely won’t leave her so saying words of leaving, shouldn’t exist. End flashback. After Setsuna hugged and told her goodbye, he pulls away and walks away. In the brink of crying, Towako asks him what she did that made him hate her. “What did I do?” Without looking at her, Setsuna says, “..before you always say ‘Even if I don’t have Yuuga, but I have you [Setsuna] so I won’t be a little bit lonely’. But right now, ‘Yuuga’ will always stay by your side..for you, I’m no longer wanted.” This surprised Towako that soon, tears fall down from her eyes. A bit teary-eyed, Setsuna continues to walk away.

In the room, Yuuga thinks that he cannot keep calm. Then, a servant tells him that Towako has returned. Yuuga is speechless upon seeing Towako with her hair covering her face. Yuuga asks if she’s Sadako [from the Ring] and what’s with that. He pulls her hair off and he sees that Towako’s face is reddish from crying..she’s still crying. He asks what happened. She tells him that Setsuna told her ‘goodbye’ and that because she has Yuuga, he isn’t needed anymore. She had always spoiled Setsuna by always telling him that she is his sister, she will be with him, and those types of words but actually, she is the one who needs him and Setsuna knows this that so until now, he would quietly always stay by her side. “I’m the one..who left from his side..” She wonders why she just did that wherein when she is lonely, she would bind him to her but when she isn’t lonely, she would just leave him by himself. Towako starts crying again. Yuuga goes to her and hugs her. He got angry when Towako pushed him away. He asks her what she is doing. Towako tells him that she cannot let him pamper her like that right now. He hugs her again and tells her that it is alright for he wanted to do that because she is his, so let him do what he wants to do. Towako continues to cry. Towako thinks that she has been gently protected a lot. She wonders what she had given Setsuna back for the gentleness that he has given to her until now. She fears that it is just a little bit [that she gave him]. Even if things have now ended like this, yet she still has that kind of thoughts [of repaying?]. “I already..cannot give Setsuna that happiness..” On the way to school, Utsugi lets out a long heavy sigh. Tsubaki just looks at him as he walked into a post. Tsubaki tells him that it is dangerous to be lost in thought. Holding his head, he tells her to warn him about it if she has seen it. While some students were thinking that Tsubaki is bullying Utsugi again, Tsubaki asks Utsugi if this is all about Setsuna. Utsugi says that he knew that the madam [Tokiko] is in contact with Yachiougi but he didn’t expect for things to turn out this way and what’s really important is he doesn’t know what to do to cheer Setsuna up when he is obviously his caretaker and he is the closest to him. He starts crying over his helplessness. He is shock when Tsubaki pinches his cheeks with a hand then slams him to the post. Tsubaki tells him that he’s rea~~lly stupid and not only that, he is also meddlesome. He is unbelievably disappointing that he would cry just because he cannot bear his duty. She tells him not to cry. “Do you think that as a caretaker, you should be able to do everything, then, you are fundamentally mistaken...if you cannot do anything then don’t do anything! It is okay to just quietly stand by your master’s side. That is our duty.” Teary-eyed, Utsugi says yes. [I think Tsubaki finds him cute that] she looks at him quietly then hits him on the head. He shouts that it hurts and why did she hit him. Tsubaki says that it is because she is very angry and if he cries again, she’ll hit him again. Following after her, Utsugi smiles and thanks her.

Finally, it is Saturday. Towako kept on moving from one place to another that Yuuga has to hold her steady in one place. At the Yachiougi residence, Setsuna and his parents are greeted by the old Yachiougi couple. The man introduces himself as Yachiougi Zenzou and the one beside him is his wife, Kinuyo. Their son and daughter-in-law had passed away five years ago. So when people say ‘the old, sick, and disabled’, that would mean them. “We’ll be under your care.” Tokiko says no, but rather, they should be the one who should say that. She then introduces herself and her husband. Tokiko then tells Setsuna to greet them. Setsuna introduces himself and greets the other couple. While the old couple are heaping praises to Setsuna for being a bishounen [beautiful guy], Kyousuke is standing outside the room, eavesdropping on them. Then, they tell Mioko to say her greeting. Blushing, Mioko timidly introduces herself in a very soft voice. While Setsuna looks somewhat surprised, Kinuyo reprimands her for talking to softly that she cannot be heard. She then apologizes for Mioko. They explain that since she is an orphan of their son and daughter-in-law so they doted on her too much that she has become a bit stubborn and shy with strangers. Tokiko says that Mioko’s cute and she will dote on her like a daughter. The adults say that the more they look at them, the more they seem to be a match. Zenzou says that he hopes that the Gokurakuin would definitely have a relationship with them forever from then on. Okay, that’s it for now up to chapter 40. This is already page 23 in my word processor. What should be a breeze through summary ends up becoming too detailed at the end. ^^; Hehe, out of habit. =P It is because I thought some parts are important later on, some are funny, etc and ya, before I knew it, the summary gets longer and longer. ^^;; Oh well, I guess typing a series that is out twice a month is easier than monthly series since I covered more chapters for this one than Ookami-heika no Hanayome in the same span of time. Anyway, about what’s going on, this does seem like what happened to the ‘other suitors’ of Towako or in this part, Setsuna. From here, I think you would already know who is paired with who. Before, I actually thought that this series would end around here since everyone is being paired off but obviously, it didn’t. I really feel Setsuna’s pain and if I were him, I would want to get away, too. Seeing them together would really be like rubbing salt on one’s wounds. Setsuna got some nice lines here and contrary to the earlier chapters, I’m beginning to like him. While doing this, I find it odd to see a couple to be so pro-active in keeping their relationship to go smoothly. I did notice that most of the female cast are quite strong and can twirl the guys in their little fingers if they want to. I guess it is because KKwH is still fresh in my mind. ^^; I guess because I’m marathon summarizing that is why things seem to resolve easily in contrast to waiting for weeks on how the couple resolve things. =P Anyway, it’s still a bumpy road ahead for our couple and the others and like always in long summaries, thank you very much if you read through all that..^^ Scans by www.8first.com, and hiromao, fema, and xiuxiu for BW.

    Hana to Akuma [Final Chapter]
    Tuesday, November 23, 2010

[I don’t know what happened between chapters 56-57 but only the last chapter in Chinese is out. Scans by Nekko no Heya translation. So here goes..]

One year after, Vivi knocks on the door and says that he’s coming in. Inside, Hana is dressed up in a wedding gown. Hana reprimands him that she is still dressing up. Vivi says that he has seen her dress up before so there is nothing to be embarrassed about. Hana exclaims that isn’t the point for she wanted to dress up properly before letting him see her. Vivi pokes her head and says that she dressed up nicely and looks beautiful in it. Hana is happy over this. Vivi tells her that everyone is already there so they should get going. They held hands and enter a hall where everyone are formally dressed up. They happily congratulate them on their wedding. Hana thanks everyone. Everyone claps as they walk inside. Hana is teary-eyed. Momo congratulates Hana and tells Vivi to make Hana happy. Hana happily thanks him. Later on, Hana finds Vivi lying down at the garden. Hana reprimands him for staying there when everyone is celebrating. Vivi complains that Tony’s magic performance is boring. Hana says that still, everyone is very happy/enjoying it. She asks him what he is doing there. Vivi says that he is ‘gazing at the moon’ for it is the same full moon when they promised to be ‘together forever’. Hana smiles then tells him that she investigated as to why Vivi always think of holding their wedding on a night ‘when the moon is round and sakura blossoms are in full bloom’. Vivi asks why. Hana says that it is the day when he told her that he would want ‘to be forever with her’ while on a sakura tree. Vivi blushes over this. He tells her that even if she doesn’t remember, he can tell it to her many times if she wants to. He leans his head to her and says, “We’ll be together forever, Hana.” Hana is teary-eyed again. Then, they kissed beneath the full moon that hangs on the starry sky and sakura petals float in the wind. Hana says, “Vivi, I love you.” Vivi smiles and says, “I know.” She hugs him. Then someone asks, “..Afterwards?” Vivi then asks up to when they are going to hide there. It turns out that everyone is watching at them from behind the bushes. While Vivi sighs, Hana blushes and exclaims why everyone.. Someone says that it’s so sweet that s/he feels like dying. Another one exclaims that the two main leads of the celebration shouldn’t just go out. Hana apologizes and tells Vivi that if he knew, he should have told her so. Vivi says that it doesn’t matter to him if they are seen. Hana blushes and says that she’ll feel embarrassed. They happily hug. “We will be together until forever. Forever--”

In town, someone is asking if they know about that old castle on top of the mountain. A long haired girl passes by some students who were talking. The other students talk about some ghost in that castle. Another says that it is foreigners. The long haired girl thinks that it isn’t ghosts, it’s akuma-s. She walks through the mountain path to the castle when a car passes by. It is Felten and Elenore. Felten calls the girl Anzu. [<- Thanks Yuka74 for the help with the name.] Felten tells Anzu to get on the car to ride with them. Anzu thanks them and gets on the car. Felten then shouts to a boy walking ahead. He calls out to him as ‘brother’ Yamabuki-kun and asks if he wants to ride on the car, too. Yamabuki turns around and sits in the car. He thanks them. Felten says that it seems that today is their graduation. Anzu says that because once in a while, she has been studying hard really hard that she didn’t know how many times she graduated. Yamabuki says that he is already tired of high school life that he plans on becoming a writer and that way, there is no need to have lots of contact with people that would make them suspicious. Anzu says that she wants to go to college. Yamabuki then asks isn’t it against the law for a 70 year old to wear a skirt that short. Anzu angrily retorts back that he is already 73 years old. Felten muses that it is good for the siblings to get along in anything. Elenore giggles over this. Soon, they are in the castle. Tony greets the foursome and tells them that Vivi has just returned back from work in the akuma world. After telling Tony that she’ll make a bouquet for her mother, Anzu grabs her brother and tells him to come along. Tony exclaims that he’ll be the one who’ll do it. Anzu says no, for it will wilt. Tony says that he is trying to learn how to do it quickly using gloves. Anzu laughs and says that today, they are the ones who is going to make it. Felten muses that it is really baffling that even if the siblings have the blood of both an akuma and a human, but fundamentally, they are no different from an akuma. The only common thing they have with Hana is they are able to touch flowers [and not make it wilt]. And that is a miracle. Elenore reminiscence that on the wedding day, Hana blurted out that she wants to have a child with Vivi. “They are the legacy that Hana wants to leave to Vivi. So that when the time when she is no longer around, the kids can also be her substitute--”

Beneath a tree [a sakura, I presume], Vivi holds a bouquet and looks at grave. It is Hana’s. Vivi puts the roses on the grave and sits beside it. He says that today is already the third year. He tells Hana that just like before, because of them [kids], everyday is quite noisy. Vivi sighs then remembers the time when Hana is on her dead bed. Flashback: Hana’s face isn’t shown as Vivi held Hana’s hand that has a rose ring. She called out to Vivi and thanked him for always staying by her side. “Thank you. I felt really happy. Afterwards, too. Always and always, I am the world’s happiest person.” Vivi wondered what happiness is. He remembers all the times and things he experienced with and because of Hana. “Was the road we took the right one? I already don’t know. Ah- but, you used that flower-like smile and said that you had attained happiness. If it’s only that.. If it’s only that, then I..” End flashback. Looking at the grave, Vivi smiles and says, “Ah-- yes. I’m also the world’s happiest person.” Then he frowns when he overhears the ‘noisy’ ones are coming towards him. Everyone is carrying a bouquet. The siblings lament that their father got there first. They then put their flowers on the grave. Everyone smiles. Using his bare hand, Vivi holds a rose and smells it. It wilts. [I think he put it on the grave along with the flowers that everyone brought.] On the grave, it is written: Hana since 19-something to something [that I cannot read]. To live in the hearts of those we love is never to die. The end.

From what Vivi said, I’m thinking that maybe there is a way to make Hana live long but they chose not to. Unless, the ‘correct’ path Vivi is talking about is getting married with a human. After all those years, Vivi hasn’t aged at all. Hana is really wise to have left him that kind of legacy so that Vivi won’t be lonely..hehe, even if he is a bit grumpy about it =P I guess Hana’s name really fits her. She is indeed like a flower that blooms and makes everyone happy even if its life is quite short. But still, the memory of enjoying the flower remains in one's heart. Overall, I think this is a pretty good series. I felt that it somewhat bogged down at the near end of the chapters as if the plot isn’t progressing much or it lost some of its charm. I cannot really explain it. I’m also expecting more angst about not being able to be with Hana for eternity since it is one of the main reason why I read this series in the first place as to how they would go about that but it seems the author skipped that and rushed to the ending. Well, I guess she doesn’t want to drag the inevitable..of the ending that she wants. Anyway, it is a good read and the ending is nice..even if it is not a happy together ending.

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu [Chapter 75]
    Monday, November 22, 2010

At school, in the shoe lockers, Kyouta whines as to what this is all about. He is complaining over his shoe locker that is jam packed with gifts or chocolates to be more precise. Some girls tearfully complains at Kyouta as to why he rested on Friday [<- not sure if it is a holiday or Kyouta is absent] and why Valentine’s Day landed on a Saturday. They tell him that they wanted to give him the chocolates a day ahead and they re-made it again today this morning. Kyouta puts on his school shoes and tells them that he told them already last year that he won’t accept any chocolates made by other girls aside from his girlfriend. The other girls look gloomy while holding their chocolates. While he is thinking about Tsubaki, Kyouta remembers about their conversation wherein Tsubaki wanted to give him something but since he told her to just give it to him in school, Tsubaki said that it is nothing important. Flustered, Kyouta thinks, “This is bad..” At section 2-3, Tsubaki smiles and says that yes, it’s a chocolate. “..bu..but this year, I totally didn’t have time to prepare and I didn’t prepare anything special so just relax~” Kyouta says is that so and did she bring it today. Still smiling, Tsubaki apologizes and says that thing cannot keep well overnight so she just ate it by herself. Kyouta apologizes again for not paying attention. Still smiling, Tsubaki tells him that it’s alright. “Oh yeah..at the mountains, did you see a lot of stars?” Kyouta perks up and says yes, for that Saturday is the first day of the month so there is no moon. “That way, we can see the stars clearly! Although there wasn’t any news about a meteor shower but we also saw a lot of shooting stars.” Still smiling but her eyes look sad, Tsubaki says, “Really..that many, huh..” Tsubaki thinks that at Hateruma, she saw a shooting star with Kyouta and for her it is like a miracle type of important memory..and together with Youko, he saw that kind of shooting star.. She grips her books tighter. Still smiling, Tsubaki tells him that her next class is the audio-visual room so she should get going. Kyouta then says that they weren’t able to watch the movie last Saturday. He tells her that lately, he is busy at work and he might make a mistake about the screening time. Still with a smile plastered on her face, Tsubaki says that if that is so then it cannot be helped. “It’s fine!” She then walks away. Kyouta sighs over this.

Then, Nishiki goes running from behind Kyouta then happily glomps him. Kyouta pushes him away and asks what’s up. Happy Nishiki shows Kyouta a picture of a messily decorated cake on his cellphone. Kyouta says that he’s irritating and what about it. Nishiki happily says that this year, he got Sakura’s handmade chocolate. “I’m so deeply loved~~! That it makes me feel a bit embarrassed~” Kyouta thinks that Sakura cannot have made that and Tsubaki definitely helped her.. Kyouta then realizes something. He then exclaims, “--..Could it be! Tsubaki-chan, she..” Nishiki asks him what it is and if he is jealous. Kyouta then holds Nishiki’s hand with the cellphone then puts another arm on Nishiki’s shoulder. With pleading eyes, Kyouta calls Nishiki’s name. Nishiki looks tense over this. The school bell rings. Kyouta goes to Tsubaki’s classroom and tells her that today, she doesn’t have time to go to cram school. Tsubaki says that if there is no time then she will just study at home. She is surprised when he pulls her and tells her to come with him. At the theater, Tsubaki looks excited that the zoo movie [iirc, it’s her favorite] is showing. She asks Kyouta that isn’t he suppose to work today. Kyouta casually says that he exchanged his shift with someone. At work, gloomy Nishiki is asked by another guy as to why it is Nishiki again. =P Kyouta asks her what she wants to eat. Tsubaki says that there is nothing special that she wants to eat. Kyouta tells her that it will be his treat this time so she can eat anything she wants. He bought French fries, popcorn, hotdog in a bun, soda and ice cream. Holding the tray, Tsubaki thinks that it is a lot that she cannot eat it all. As they go in the screening room, Kyouta tells her that she lied for she even made her sister’s chocolate when it is obviously quite troublesome. Flustered Tsubaki pauses and says, “But..” Kyouta apologizes. He holds her head to him and takes the tray of food from her. “You were apprehensive [/concern] about my feelings so you lied. *somewhat flustered* Thank you, you are really nice.” Tsubaki looks really flustered and tense. She thinks that she isn’t nice. “I still suspect that day wherein Kyouta thought that starry night with Miss Kikuzuki [formerly Kikuduki. Corrected by am-am] is more important than me.. I really hated myself for thinking that way.. [image of Tsubaki beating the cake to a pulp] but I couldn’t stop..then afterwards, it is as if my heart is covered in a haze. It’s so heavy that soon, I couldn’t breath..”

At theater 5, Kyouta is sitting in a peculiar seat for two. Still standing, Tsubaki says that it is quite weird. Kyouta asks her if she hasn’t seen a love seat before. He pulls her to her seat and hugs her. He tells her that while they are watching, then can also do this kind of stuff. Tsubaki exclaims about doing that in front of others and people are looking at them. Kyouta tells her what of it when the love seat is made for this reason. “..and right now, you are mine. And I want to tell the whole world [about it].” Blushing Tsubaki thinks that the haze has gradually disperse. “In spite of everything, [you still try to] make it up [for me]. Thank you very, very much...” Later on, at the souvenir shop, Tsubaki holds up a cute polar bear with a fish on its mouth ballpen/mechanical pencil. She says that it is so cute and it’s the only one left so should she buy it. Kyouta comments that she really likes polar bears. “Buy it! I’ll buy it for you!” Tsubaki tells him to forget it since he already treated her to the movie. He tells her that is okay for he is going to treat her to everything today. Ring..ring..his cellphone rings. Kyouta wonders who it is. Tsubaki is happily holding her new[? not sure if it is already bought] pen. Then, her eyes widen when she overhears Kyouta saying, “Hello? Ah, Youko.” Tsubaki is shock. She thinks, “‘Youko’? Youko is Miss Kikuzuki’s name, right? Why did it change into calling her by her name. Oh ya, Miss Kikuzuki shouldn’t know about Tsubaki-kun’s cellphone number. Could it be that after that night, their relationship had become quite good?” While watching Kyouta on the phone, Tsubaki looks tense since he looks quite happy while chatting with Youko on the phone. She thinks, “.Wh..at..the haze in my heart..was just swept clear a while ago..” Still talking on the phone, Kyouta says, “Okay..then that’s it for now.” He hangs up and turns to Tsubaki to apologize for making her wait. He is puzzled for Tsubaki is already gone. Walking alone, Tsubaki gets an email from Kyouta telling her that he couldn’t find her and where she is. Flustered Tsubaki closes her eyes and shuts off her cellphone.

Next day at school, in Tsubaki’s classroom, Kyouta exclaims in disbelief that Tsubaki has already gone home. Miho tells him that Tsubaki was in a hurry as if there is something urgent. “Don’t you know?” Kyouta angrily says that he doesn’t. “Yesterday, I was talking on the phone and she just left! Afterwards, I couldn’t contact her at all.. What’s up with Tsubaki-chan?” Miho tells him that Tsubaki is totally avoiding him. She asks him what cruel thing he did. Kyouta exclaims that he didn’t do anything. Miho tells him that Tsubaki isn’t the type of person who would not say anything and just run, without any reason. Somewhat tense Kyouta looks thoughtful. He says, “That’s right. So, I really couldn’t think of any reason [why she is doing this]. It’s really vexing!” Outside their school, at the gate, Tsubaki is breathing hard from running. She thinks that she had run away from Kyouta. “Because..I couldn’t explain it to him. Am I really.. that jealous of Miss Kikuzuki.. She studied in the school where I wanted to go.. [she] has the same unwavering goal like Tsubaki-kun.. Why is there such a person.. I’m really afraid just thinking of her existence. I feel as if I’ll be quickly killed by [my] inferiority.. *looking flustered and clutching her chest tight with her hands* During the time when that person isn’t around, Tsubaki-kun hadn’t kept his promise quite a few times. I should calm down a bit--” Someone then calls out her name. It is Youko who asks her, “What are you doing here?!” She waves her hand in front of stunned Tsubaki and asks if Tsubaki isn’t feeling well. After coming back to her senses, Tsubaki’s eyes widen in shock as she backs away. Youko exclaims if she is alright. Tsubaki exclaims that she is just startled and what is she doing at her [Tsubaki] school. Youko smiles and says that she has an appointment with Kyouta. Tsubaki just looks at her and thinks, “Ah..it’s back again. This haze that won’t go away.”

Sigh..it isn’t only Tsubaki but this chapter makes my heart feel heavy. Well, Kyouta did try to make it up to Tsubaki but that patch up is temporary. The main problem is still there and that is Youko. Well, actually, it is also Tsubaki’s tendency to keep things to herself and not tell Kyouta what’s eating up inside her. It has been there before they had sex or rather when he went to the US during the summer break so I think if it is not resolved soon, they might break up. At least we get to see Kyouta as the one who is trying to figure things out and he better do so soon before Tsubaki totally explodes or whatever. Hm..even if he did, what would/can he do? Would an assurance from him work? It did so temporarily. Totally have nothing to do with Youko? Well, there might be a lot of ‘Youko-s’ out there especially in Kyouta’s field of choice. Tsubaki also has a major problem regarding her inferiority complex to the point that it seems to me that she feels that it is a huge disservice for Kyouta to be with her rather than to be with Youko. ^^; That ‘haze’ is really worrisome. It seems that this incident has ‘awakened’ the darkness in Tsubaki’s heart. Somehow I don’t think this is a story of how Kyouta has corrupted a nice girl like Tsubaki. Well, it isn’t a pleasant sight when nice girls finally snapped. It makes me think that she might be like that cute polar bear that she likes..it might be cute and everything but beware, it is a bear so it might attack back. Hehe..lame analogy. ^^; But won’t it be nice for Tsubaki to ‘bite’ into Youko just like that polar bear bit the fish? =P Well, I’m really curious now how the author is going to resolve/progress this arc. Free Talk: Blog Stuff and Some Jump Series Comments
    Sunday, November 21, 2010

    A week has past and still no new chapters. ^^; Anyway, a new chapter of Ojousama wa Oyomesama is out and Setsuna will really go back to his real family with the Gokurakuin family consent. And, because it seems to be in accordance to that guy who seems to be plotting something, I finally decided to re-read the series to know what is really happening (if I missed it) before things become complicated later on. So, I decided to summarize it while I’m it. I already informed Bebexiu that I will be continuing this series from where they left off and she says it is okay. Kaichou wa Maid-sama 56 raws is already out in yuu_Chan’s blog. I still have no luck in seeing it because of too many people are logging in ^^; but according to her, it is about Christmas and more on Usui’s past/issue. ^^ From 鏡花水月, it turns out that this month’s La Corda is just a special. ^^;;

On Jump, Bleach is finally going to talk about what makes the Kurosaki family special or more on Isshin. Is it just me or did most of the characters’ personality went back to square one. I’m more specific on Inoue. After all that Ichigo went though for her, she seems to treat him as if all of that never happened. Is it because of peaceful times? One Piece is still good as always. Beelzebub still got my interest though there is a sudden increase on the demon population of the series (perhaps to counterbalance with the delinquents?). So, this will be a demon vs delinquents series =P And, I still haven’t updated myself with Nurarihyon No Mago ^^;; On a side note, it seems that Shocomi’s calendar (or illustration book as they call it) is ‘Rome theme’ – you know, togas and everything. =P

    Ookami-heika no Hanayome [Chapters 9 - 11]
    Friday, November 19, 2010

[I’ll start using the correct numbering of the chapters from here on in accordance to the ones in Japanese. I’m thinking that it might be confusing later on. Chapter 6 in Chinese is actually chapter 9 in the Japanese. The Chinese had skipped some chapters that is why the numbering is off. This is why I’ve also missed some chapters so just wait for the English scanlation to cover those. ^^ Scans by xiuxiu for BW and y45679965 for iieye]

Chapter 9 (chapter 6 in Chinese): In Hakuyou Country, at the very quiet palace where you can hear a pin drop, the ministers were paying their respects [/wish good health] to their king. They are very prudent in order not to incur the anger of the king. An old minister nervously bows to stern-looking Reishou and says that he brought today their province/prefecture’s produce. After pausing, he says, “And these others [= boxes], we hope that the Princess would like them.” There are a lot of luxurious-looking boxes at the side. At the harem, Yuulin looks at the boxes and asks if all of those are for her as the Princess. Jun says that she is right so why don’t she look over them first. Yuulin thinks that she doesn’t know why but it seems that lately, there are a lot of gifts for her. Looking at the huge pile of boxes, Yuulin wonders out loud as to what is going on because before they would send gifts as a way to assassinate her. Someone comes in and says, “They started to think that compared to getting you out of the way, it is a much better plan to try to get on your good side.” Reishou hugs blushing-surprised Yuulin from behind and asks, “Is there anything [among the gifts] you like, Yuulin?” Frantically backs away from him, Yuulin shouts for him to please stop acting like that since there isn’t anyone there right now. A bit dejected, Reishou just laughs it off and apologizes to her. Keeping his smile, Reishou just changes the topic by asking what she thinks of the gifts, and are there anything that interests her. Yuulin sweatdrops and says that it doesn’t matter [if she likes anything] because everything will be returned [to them] anyways, so it’s useless even if she likes something. Yuulin opens a box and takes out a roll of cloth. Spreading it out, Yuulin says that it is very beautiful. Jun tells her that is a brocade [richly decorative shuttle-woven fabric] offered by the Han family. “It has been reported that this rare and special commodity has been ordered from the neighboring country. ..After all, gifts given by a prestigious house aren’t the same [as the others].” Yuulin drools over it and thinks that she can definitely pay off her debt with it. Much to her dismay, Jun immediately takes away the cloth. While holding the cloth, he says, “The head of the Han family proposed to change the day of visit, so I’ll leave the rest up to the two of you.” Surprised Yuulin says, “Eh?” Reishou says, “Ha?” Yuulin turns to face bored-unhappy Reishou and wonders why he said, ‘ha?’ Jun seriously exclaims at Reishou that it is part of the king’s job to entertain the guests. Reishou just whines, ‘eh-’ Jun says that speaking of the Han family, after Reishou declined about the marriage, they sent someone who almost framed Yuulin into losing her position so it is really suspicious. [That is in the real chapter 2.] Sparkling, Jun continues to happily say that afterwards, there are no suspicious activities but only giving Yuulin a lot of gifts. “From that viewpoint, they could have given up on that [= getting rid of Yuulin] and they had changed their way of doing things. No matter what, publicly establishing good bilateral relationship as friends is for the best because, they are from a prestigious family.” Yuulin looks at Jun in horror. [I cannot quite read what she muttered but it seems that Jun changed his stance because of that cloth and they are rich.] Reishou just looks quiet and bored.

Reishou sighs and says that he is really afraid of dealing with Minister Han that he doesn’t want to be near the minister. Yuulin looks at him. She is surprised when Reishou exclaims to her, “Yuulin, you also shouldn’t be careless! Because that person is incomprehensible!” Yuulin thinks that it is seldom for him to say those kinds of things so she could say that Han person is a considerably dangerous person. All fired up, Yuulin exclaims, “Understood..! I’ll do my best and I’ll keep on being vigilant at all times!” Reishou happily says, “Okay! That’s the spirit. Be like that.” At the side, Jun tries to remind them that he just said to they should establish good relationships. Still fired up, Yuulin thinks that she fundamentally doesn’t like those people who would suddenly change their attitude and use material things to entice others because she would want to covet those things. Still at the side, Jun mutters so that’s her reason. On the day of the visit, a female attendant tells Yuulin that His Majesty has something urgent to attend to. “He said that he would be coming back late.” Yuulin gloomily wonders why it became like that. She wonders if Reishou ran away but she dismisses that thought by assuming that he’s really a busy man. After a pause, Yuulin tells the attendant okay and she’ll be the only one who’ll greet Minister Han. She thinks that if there is a plot, she’ll expose him since after all, she does have a bit of boldness [<- won’t easily cower down to others]. Yuulin is taken a back to see that her visitor is a friendly-looking middle aged man who greets her. He professes his happiness over meeting her. He introduces himself as Han Shisei. While thinking that she thought it would be a more serious/sober type of older man since they said he’s a minister, Yuulin tries to recover from her surprise by thanking him for the gifts that he has sent her. “It is also the first time I have seen such a beautiful brocade. Shisei warmly smiles back at her, and tells her that it’s really great that she liked it. “For this reason, it seems that it is well-worth it for me to rack my brains hard.” Yuulin is puzzled. After tea is served, the two are sitting down and talking. Shisei says that he is actually ashamed because he doesn’t know what young girls tend to like so he asked his daughter to teach him. Looking gloomy, Shisei tells Yuulin that he had already chosen some things earlier but his daughter told him that those things he chose are old, stiff and not fashionable, and in the end, she pretty much criticized everything. “Being inept won’t do for it will only waste a huge amount of time.” Yuulin tries to cheer him up by saying that it is alright for the gifts were quite refined. Shisei smiles and thanks her. He says that Her Highness is really fair and considerate. Thinking that it seems that he doesn’t have any evil intention, Yuulin tensely smiles back.

Shisei tells her that if she is happy, then His Majesty’s mood would also become equally good. “We are quite pleased that we were able to at least do some things for His Majesty. --Because no matter what, His Majesty won’t open his heart to the ministers.” Yuulin quietly listen. Shisei continues to say that it’s really embarrassing because even if he said about wanting to share some of the responsibility with His Majesty but His Majesty hardly pays attention since he would refuse whenever they urged him to at least take some Princesses into the harem. Yuulin nervously sweatdrops over this. Shisei tells her that because His Majesty has a Princess like Yuulin by his side, His Majesty can also be at ease. “From within my heart, I wanted to tell that to Your Highness--” Later on, in the middle of opening her gift boxes at the harem, Yuulin darkly scowls at Reishou who came to apologize regarding today because in the end, he wasn’t able to go. He asks her what she thinks of Minister Han. While grinding her teeth, Yuulin tells him that Shisei gave her a good feeling that she felt like apologizing to him since she was suspicious of him. Reishou looks a bit nervous then says that it’s because of his external appearance. Yuulin tells him not to say that since Shisei is really worried about him. Yuulin thinks that her heart hurts because Reishou’s acting has created a feeling of distance [with other people]. Reishou asks her, “Yuulin, did he use gifts and ‘pleasant to hear’ words to win you over?” Yuulin seriously looks at him and asks what he meant by that. Reishou says that he did tell her not to be careless. “The friendliness in the court cannot be relied on. No matter how many beautiful gift boxes are, but what’s inside is disguised as a request.. it has some other meaning to it.” Yuulin is surprised by what he said. She stands up and exclaims if he is suspicious of things, no matter what it is. “Inside might be something filled of good faith!” Puzzled Reishou asks flustered Yuulin as to why she is taking the side of someone else. Yuulin denies that she is taking sides. Yuulin is thinking that if he said it like that, then that means that he-- [<- doesn’t trust anyone?]. To Yuulin’s anger, Reishou tells her that fundamentally, she isn’t taking enough precautions. Furious Yuulin shouts what he just said. “What are you saying! I’ve always been serious about this! This and that are fundamentally two different things--” [<- always being tricked?] Yuulin is surprised when Reishou leans closer to her and somewhat pins her on the table/where the boxes are. He asks, “..Really? *wolf mode* But I feel that you trust other people too easily.” Yuulin’s heart beats loudly. Lowering her head, she says, “I only-- trust in myself and want to trust others, that’s all there is to it.” Reishou smiles and walks away. Before leaving, he tells her that is her strong point. “But, do not excessively trust your point of view.” He left Yuulin flustered and speechless. Yuulin angrily thinks, “What! What! What the, he’s implying that how I evaluate people is very bad!”

At the government affairs building where Reishou is holding court, Yuulin is still furious over what Reishou said. When Reishou turns to look at her, she will immediately look away. Houen is puzzled as to what happened. Reishou turns back to Jun and he seems to mutter that he made Yuulin snub him. [<- not sure, too small to see.] Jun seems to be unhappy about something. Yuulin continues to think, “His Majesty, you idiot! Not wanting to trust anyone!” Later on, Shisei passes by and thanks Yuulin for letting him take her precious time in seeing him yesterday. Yuulin greets him and asks if he came to see His Majesty. Shisei says that he is, though he heard that His Majesty is currently discussing some other matters. Yuulin gloomily thinks that Shisei still seems like a kind-hearted person to her but then, Reishou said it so seriously, that she wonders if there is any problem [with Shisei] at all. Then, a man interrupts them and brings a gift box in the room. Shisei asks Yuulin if the gift boxes are also brought to the government affairs building. Yuulin says yes and there are times when it is brought there. Shisei looks quiet and thoughtful. Yuulin remembers Reishou telling her that inside the beautiful boxes, it is perhaps disguised as a request or a motive. Yuulin looks at the newly brought-in box and notices that it is open. She reaches out to it when a snake comes out. While shouting danger, Shisei immediately pushes her away to safety. The snake bites Shisei’s hand and slips away from the room. Yuulin worriedly calls out to him. Shisei shouts for her to get back. He starts shouting for someone to quickly grab that man who brought the box for surely, he hasn’t gone far. Everyone is in a ruckus. Reishou is the one who manages to catch the culprit. As Jun holds the culprit, Reishou goes to the room where Yuulin is and asks what happened. Teary-eyed Yuulin exclaims to him that while protecting her, Shisei has been bitten by a snake. Reishou bends down to Shisei and asks if it is a poisonous snake. Holding his bitten hand, Shisei says that he doesn’t know, maybe it is. Reishou tells the other not to move Shisei and to quickly call Gen. Yuulin is still shaking in fear over the incident. Jun says that they should bind it with a rope in order for the poison not to spread. Shisei says that he is moved with gratitude over the concern that His Majesty is giving him. He smiles and says that it is really great that Her Highness is safe and sound. Yuulin just looks speechlessly worried over him. Later on, Jun reports that luckily, Minister Han’s injury isn’t deep and his life isn’t in no danger. “But, I heard that he still has to stay in bed for a few days.”

At the harem, feeling guilty Yuulin cries to Reishou and says that she shouldn’t have been suspicious of Shisei. She calls Reishou an idiot. Sweatdropping Reishou apologizes to her. Jun muses that it seems that those ministers who thinks Her Highness is a hindrance it isn’t over yet since that thing in the box is aimed at her. Yuulin darkly thinks that she doesn’t want to see any gift boxes for the time being. Reishou pats Yuulin’s head and tells her that he’ll think of giving a reward to Shisei and he’ll console him after Shisei gets well. He smiles at her and says that it’s great that she is safe. Yuulin looks at him and remembers Shisei telling her that if she is made happy, His Majesty will also be in a good mood. She wonders, “—Could it be that this person [Reishou] can no longer trust others who treated him with good faith and kindness? Does it include the things that I’ve said?” [<- don’t trust her?] Reishou is surprised when Yuulin holds on to his arm. A bit flustered, Yuulin tells him that the feeling he [Reishou] and Shisei gives her is a bit the same. “So, for a little bit..I’ve relaxed and lowered my guard. But, that isn’t like, I’m taking his side..” Yuulin thinks that the next she thought of is for him not to be suspicious/doubt [over what she said?]. Reishou looks at her and smiles. He says, “Really.” While waving her hands around excitedly, she tells him not to just say that and to really ponder on it. Reishou just laughs. He thinks, “—ah ah, I still, totally cannot trust, ..that person.” At the Han resident, in the bedroom, Shisei groans and says that he really got poisoned. “Even if we’ve prepared the antidote, it is still quite scary.” Holding some bottles, the poison lady [from the real chapter 2] happily says, “But, with this, the suspicion towards master [Shisei] is definitely removed. Those who had caught the culprit didn’t know that master is the one who incited that man to do it. So, you weren’t exposed because you were the one who directed and acted it!” Shisei sighs and says that it is because she failed in trying to make Her Highness lose her position so in the end, he even has to attain an expensive thing [the brocade]. Poison girl’s smile froze as she lamely laughs. Looking somewhat serious, Shisei says that the ‘Wolf King’s vigilance is actually very strong. “—But, because of this, all the more that I want to tame him.” At the harem, Reishou is thinking that ‘because there is that same scent on Shisei, so he cannot trust him’. “This is something that cannot be explained.” In puppy mode, Reishou tells Yuulin to still maintain her true self. Puzzled, Yuulin asks him what he meant by that.

I like it that the author is showing the dark sides of royal court to keep this series somewhat realistic. It is also interesting that the author has interesting and clever antagonists. I guess the reason why Reishou doesn’t want to interact with him because he knows that Shisei is bad news and he cannot oppose him directly since he belongs to a powerful and rich family. Hehe, of course, being rich would make Jun think that he is an asset. =P It does seem that Shisei is the opposite of Reishou since Shisei seems nice in the outside but he’s actually cunning/scary in the inside. I think Reishou can keep his position is also mainly because he is also clever aside from instilling fear into others and knows the true nature of the royal court. He isn’t easily swayed by beautiful words but of course, it does seem sad as Yuulin thought for he cannot or probably no longer trust people. Hm..it really does seem that Yuulin is his weak point and his enemies/wannabe-manipulators want to use her. Hm..I wonder why Yuulin didn’t propose that the gifts to her be part of her payment for her debt since it is ‘given’ to her. =P I find it really amusing that Reishou really hates administrative work and entertaining guests. Well, he does seem more like a warrior-king that is why he comes out as strong and fierce. It also makes me think that Jun is the real one who is ‘running the government’ =P Anyway, I really like this couple – cute and interactive with each other ^^ I love the chibis, too.

Chapter 10 (chapter 7 in Chinese): Narration: “At the harem, beautiful flowers are starting to open.” At the Han residence, Shisei looks at a young girl who asks if she is going to be Her Highness’ chatting companion. Shisei smiles and says yes. He reminds her not to make any mistakes regarding this matter. The girl smiles and says, “—Yes, please leave this up to me, father--..” At the Hakuyou Country’s harem, Reishou asks Yuulin as to how come it ended up with her agreeing to meet with Shisei’s daughter. Yuulin timidly says that she was casually talking with Shisei who told her that his daughter is pretty much at the same age as Yuulin, so they should be able to talk/get along with each other. Yuulin tells Reishou that a few days ago, a snake attacked her and thanks to Shisei, he protected her with his life so it is hard for her to refuse him. Reishou sighs and comments that it seems that Reishou has that skill [/edge]. Feeling that it seems that Reishou is angry, Yuulin tensely asks if it is really a bad thing. Noticing her reaction, Reishou smiles and tells her that it isn’t really a bad thing to that degree but he just thinks that this matter would make her [mentally] tired. Pushing up his glasses, Jun says that speaking of Minister Han’s daughter, Han Kouju, is regarded as the first candidate to the palace of the empress among the people. Yuulin is shock to hear this. Jun continues to tell her that even if His Majesty has refused the proposal numerous times but if he had a change of heart just once then, in the end, it will turn into something that isn’t good to talk about. [<- if they agreed once, many will want to do it, too = headache for them.] He sighs and says, “Minister Han wants to pass through you..[for Koju] to enter the harem. Geez~~ it’s another troublesome thing...” Yuulin nervously tells him that cannot be true and isn’t he thinking too much. Jun snaps at her to shut up and just work. Yuulin timidly says yes. Jun shouts his orders to her that in this current situation, she is not to let the officials [/subjects] to know of His Majesty’s ‘true nature’ [<- puppy mode], thus, His Majesty still cannot have any other imperial concubines. “But, you are also to refrain from worsening the relationship with the Han family! Understand? As His Majesty’s one and only imperial concubine, you are not to expose your lack of finance[/backing]. You are not to let them get a hold on you but you would also have to pay attention to them! You are to establish favorable social relationship with them!” Yuulin looks shock as if struck by a thunderbolt. She thinks, “It’s very..high standard!”

Later on, Yuulin looks stunned as Kouju introduces herself and tells her Yuulin to just call her Kouju. Blushing, Yuulin thinks that Kouju is a bishoujo [beautiful girl] for she’s so petit and so cute. “Are we of the same creature? Minister Han is amazing.” With polite manners, Kouju shyly tells Yuulin that she is truly honored to be appointed for this really important task. She smiles and says, “Please, get along really well with this young maiden, Your Highness.” Continuing to blush over Kouju, Yuulin thinks that Kouju’s smile is like a blossoming flower. “I cannot do it, Li Jun-kun, I don’t think that I can win against her! *waving hands up and down/excited* How can there be such a cute living thing--” A small Jun mutters that no one is telling her to win against Kouju. At the harem’s courtyard garden, Kouju comments that it is very beautiful. Yuulin says that it’s quite regretful that the season, when the flowers bloom, is over. Kouju tells her that she had participated before in the peony flower festival held at the temporary imperial residence. Since Yuulin didn’t know about this, Kouju tells her that it was when His Majesty has just ascended to the throne. “It is said that the banquet is held in order to choose the imperial concubine. Donning splendid clothes, the maidens are of varying beauty...as if they are the garden’s fairies..” Yuulin asks her about Reishou. Kouju tells her that His Majesty never showed up until the end. “It seems that banquet at that time is prepared by the officials on their own initiative so it had angered His Majesty. I fear that everyone would have been truly honored even if His Majesty just showed up once..but, it’s truly regretful..and until now, I had never seen His Majesty, not even once.. *smiles* But today, I was able to visit and see Her Highness, it already made this humble maiden feel intensely satisfied.” That night, Yuulin tensely apologizes and tells Reishou that she was in a daze while she’s with Kouju, that she had unwittingly agreed to meet with her again. Reishou is speechless over this. Thinking that it’s some hidden talent of the Han family, Reishou just lamely says that it is quite alright if it makes her happy. Flustered, Yuulin exclaims that it is because Kouju is so cute and what’s up with that expression of his [<- of Yuulin is hopeless]. Reishou just casually says, ‘ah--’ Yuulin shouts that it’s true yet he doesn’t believe her. She sighs and says, “Really-- if you seen her once, you’ll know. You’ll definitely be infatuated with her! Speaking of that, His Majesty would even go as far as to not participate at the peony flower festival. It’s such a loss. I heard that it’s practically like fairies in a garden.”

Reishou looks at her quietly as if not too happy over what she said. To her surprise, Reishou holds her hand and pulls her to him. In wolf mode, Reishou says, “It is enough that I have, only you. Do not mention other girls to me.” This made Yuulin blush that she screams and quickly hides behind the wall divider. Reishou goes back to his smiling face and says, “..‘His Majesty Wolf King, only have feelings for the current Princess’, so there is no need for others.” Still blushing, Yuulin says, “I..I know that, I know that between us is that kind of set-up! *furious* Can you please way that in a normal way!” Reishou just laughs over it. Yuulin turns around to leave as she angrily says, “Geez-- I really cannot talk with you normally!” Reishou just quietly smiles then looks thoughtful-sad. The next day[?], while a female attendant is fixing Yuulin’s hair, Yuulin thinks, “That person, geez, actually, he hadn’t had a Princess before, so where did he learn that kind of acting... Darn~~ But, if he wants, he can absolutely choose others.. *thinking of Reishou with a couple of girls* Ah, such a troublesome imagination.. *remembering that those girls were like fairies in a garden* ‘I have only you’ ..he would even say that, within that circumstance. * a bit sad* How could a person like me even enter his line of sight [/prospects].” The attendant is surprised when Yuulin starts to slap her face. Yuulin thinks, “He’s definitely just acting! I’ve been tricked by him many times already. It’s absolutely because he thinks that it’s fun.” Meanwhile, holding some documents, Jun is telling Reishou that he had the compilation of the full account of the military headquarters’ suggestions/objections. Jun is puzzled when Reishou sighs and mutters that being admonished by the Princess to choose some other [elegant] ladies really makes him feel down. He then asks Jun to give him the documents. Jun did as ordered. Reishou continues to wonder out loud, “Could it be that I’m not in her line of sight [/prospects]?” [Hehe, they think the same =P] Jun thinks that it is such an idiotic question but then, this way is fine. Jun reminds him that they are a ‘temporary married couple’ so Reishou ought to know this clearly. Thinking that Reishou just couldn’t totally accept it and he is just reaping what he sowed, Jun tells gloomy-grumpy Reishou, “Regarding your worries, please think about it again when you have taken a wife for real.” While looking at the documents, Reishou frowns and thinks that it makes him really troubled just thinking of struggle in the harem.

At the harem, Kouju is playing what seems to be a guqin [a plucked seven-string Chinese musical instrument of the zither family (Source: wiki)]. Yuulin is mesmerized by how well Kouju played. After she played, Kouju timidly says that it’s really embarrassing since she plays it clumsily. Yuulin tells her that no, it is really amazingly beautiful. Yuulin remembers what Jun told her before that a Princess should be well-versed with poetry, knows how to play an instrument and knows all about etiquette. Flashback: Jun told her that it’s pretty much like everything is perfect. Yuulin exclaimed in disbelief that kind of person doesn’t exist. Jun shouted back that person exists. End flashback. Yuulin thinks that it is really amazing that the model Princess whom Jun is talking about is currently there [in front of her]. Yuulin makes a casual remark about Yuulin’s dress being so cute. Kouju happily thanks her for the comment. She tells her that it is what’s fashionable in the country of Soutama* that she had implored her father to get it for her no matter what. [* It’s an invented name based on the kanji. It literally means ‘blue jewel/ball’. By the way, Reishou’s country, Hakuyou literally means ‘white sun’ so the other countries might have colored based names.] Her father had one specially made for her especially since her father cannot refuse her. Kouju happily urges Yuulin to ask for one from His Majesty and she would have looked beautiful in that dress. After looking surprised, Yuulin smiles and says that there’s no need for that. “For the country and for the people, His Majesty is living an austere life [<- control his lavish living], so of course, I cannot just uninhibitedly ask for that. Economizing is a priority.” Yuulin thinks that even if she said about finance problem but that dress is really attractive and the harem is really economizing too much. Kouju looks at Yuulin in surprise. She then comments that Yuulin is really such a strange person. Yuulin is shock by this, that she asks what. Kouju happily tells her that a man actually likes to spoil the woman he likes. “How about trying it next time with His Majesty?” Flustered, Yuulin just says is that so. She thinks that Kouju is really amazing and she [Yuulin] got taught by someone younger than her. Yuulin imagines about asking something from Reishou but she just looks tense and flustered and thinks that she absolutely cannot do it. The ladies were surprised when Reishou calls out to Yuulin. He tells her that he has to handle some government affairs that he would casually check on it on his way there but he will quickly come back. Reishou then turns to Kouju and asks if she is Han Kouju. Kouju says that she is. Reishou smiles and says that he heard her play the instrument on his way there and she played quite well. “Accompany the Princess well in order to make her happy.” Blushing Kouju holds up her hands and says, yes, she will to her utmost ability. Yuulin looks quietly at the two together.

Soon, Reishou leaves with his two attendants. Kouju feels a bit weak that Yuulin asks her what the matter is. Flustered Kouju tells her that she never thought of seeing His Majestly up close. “Do I look strange at all?” Thinking what could be strange about Kouju for she is perfect to a fault, Yuulin just says none, none at all. Later on, Yuulin is back in her cleaning job. Yuulin sighs and thinks that upon seeing those two standing together, it is obvious that they really match up naturally. Someone then mutters, “Why are you sighing so deeply..no matter what era it is..a harem is but a gathering of beautiful people..” Gen comes out of one of the jars and shouts, “Set on flame by jealousy as those poisonous flowers seek to be the only beloved and to be the one to step on the red lotus road!” [<- I think it is like being the favored one or as queen.] Yuulin gloomily asks what Gen is doing. Showing a thumbs up, Gen asks that isn’t it like this wherein she is staging a dazzling love-hate drama/play with His Majesty. He winks and urges her to do so. Yuulin says she won’t and could he please stop playing in the jars. Gen shouts, “Why! Don’t you want to fight for love?! Then, His Majesty will be stolen away by that Han girl, right? This old man knows everything!” Yuulin sighs and says that fundamentally, she is just working and this had made her realize even more how incompatible she is for him. Gen angrily shouts why she is thinking too much on this. “That king who hates the harem has made you stay by his side. It definitely means he has an intention for you!” Gen tearfully cries about how scary and angry Reishou was when provoked because he held a banquet and called up some beautiful girls. Yuulin sweatdrops and thinks that banquet turned out to be Gen’s doing. While walking at the outside corridors, Yuulin thinks that even if Gen said that, but Jun had also said in order to ensure the stability of Reishou’s position, Reishou should marry a really valuable Princess. Yuulin sadly thinks, “So, if he is to marry, it would definitely be a girl like her [Kouju].” Meanwhile, also walking at the corridors, Kouju looks up and sees that Reishou, together with his two attendants, are returning[?/ just walking]. Blushing, Kouju greets him. Reishou asks if she is going to where Yuulin is. While walking towards him, Kouju says yes. She didn’t notice the small steps down that she trips but Reishou catches her. Flustered Kouju apologizes. Reishou tells her not to be that flustered. “Can you stand?” Kouju holds on to him and says, “Your Majesty..” Then, they look at the side to see Yuulin looking shock upon seeing them holding on to each other. Reishou is about to call her name but Yuulin looks blank as she just apologizes for interrupting them. Yuulin quickly turns around and runs off. Reishou calls out to her but she won’t listen. Soon, Reishou leaves Kouju and starts running after Yuulin. While running, Yuulin thinks that she should accept it. “Even if I’m treated special.. (being told by Reishou that it is enough to have only her)..but that is just an act. One day, this position will belong to someone else. I absolutely know this.”

Reishou sees that Yuulin is already running down the stairs. This made him climb over the railing and jumps down in front of her. This surprises flustered Yuulin. Yuulin tries to run away but Reishou has already grabbed her hand. He tells her that she has misunderstood and Kouju had just tripped. Yuulin exclaims that no..no matter what it is, it has nothing to do with her. “There’s no need for you to explain anything! (I should quickly run away) *looking at him* I..what I said is right, yes? If you look closely at her, she’s really cute, right? If I’m a guy, I’ll definitely not let her go. Yes. (If I don’t do this quickly, I’ll..be given a fantasy [/delusion] by this person and be hurt by it.)” Holding her face, scowling-serious Reishou says, “You are my Princess.” Yuulin looks shock that her knees suddenly weaken that she almost falls down if it weren’t for surprised Reishou who quickly holds her up. Later on, Reishou carries Yuulin ala princess carry back inside. Embarrassed Yuulin keeps on apologizing to him. Reishou says no, it is his fault for shocking her. He sweatdrops that Yuulin suddenly went limp upon startling her. A note says that they had already sent Kouju back home. Yuulin is still quite embarrassed over what happened. Reishou looks at her then he smiles. Blushing a bit, Reishou says, “As expected, I still cannot leisurely get married to other Princesses. I’m at my happiest when I’m with you.” Blushing over this, Yuulin wonders if Reishou is sincere when he said that ‘he only want [her]’ when he can get, no matter how many, other beautiful flowers. She tells him, “Com..compared to some really valuable Princess, you unexpectedly feel that a fake one is much better, ...Your Majesty is also such a strange king..” Reishou asks, “Huh?” Still blushing, Yuulin thinks, “If it’s like this, then we..perhaps still have a teeny tiny bit of..similarity.” At the Han residence, Kouju couldn’t sleep. She says that it is quite vexing for it seems that she has gotten some sort of awful ailment wherein she wanted to definitely have it. Sitting in bed with a couple of stuffed toys, Kouju says, “-- What should I do in order for me to become the Wolf King’s bride?”

I didn’t know that their country is in financial difficulty. ^^; I should have thought of it since Jun wanted Yuulin to pay for anything that she breaks and won’t give her the gifts she got as the ‘princess’. Hehe, he did hire her as a part-time cleaning lady. ^^;; I thought it is just a ‘convenience’ to get Yuulin into those predicaments. Well, at least now there is a reason for it. I guess this is why Reishou also dresses simply. So, this probably means that the Han family is really rich and it would really be more beneficial if he marries Kouju and also why Jun thinks of them as an asset. Obviously, Yuulin is only thinking of Reishou liking someone based on looks and probably wealth. Hehe, it is really bad for Reishou that things started out with them as a lie but then, it is needed for her not to be afraid of him. I like the part when he said she’s his princess and she almost fell down because of it but unfortunately, she still thinks that most if not all of what Reishou is telling her is all just an act. ^^; That is pretty much a confession but I do think that if Yuulin is a guy, she would like Kouju since she is poor or rather, in debt and she is pretty weak against cute and nice people especially the Han father-daughter..or even puppy mode Reishou. She didn’t notice that for Reishou to favor her so much and she’s pretty much the opposite of Kouju, then that could mean that Kouju isn’t his type. Kouju really does seem like a pampered daughter of a rich guy but so far, she is very nice and unlike her father, she is sincere with no ulterior motives with her relationship with Yuulin. I wonder if she knows that her father is trying to set her up with Reishou. It seems that she doesn’t. On a side note, I find it amusing that it is Gen who is acting a cupid between the two. He obviously approves of Yuulin just like Reishou does ^^

Chapter 11 (chapter 8 in Chinese): In the Han residence, while holding a tray of tea, poison girl looks around and asks if Kouju went to the palace again. Shisei laughs and tells her that Kouju has seen the king a few days ago and apparently, it has a fairly ‘pleasing’ outcome. Poison girl happily says that everything went according to his plan so what will happen afterwards.. Shisei says, “..Good looks, proper upbringing and family background..I hope that His Majesty would be aware that there is no other girl who would be more superior [than Kouju] in those requirements..” Walking at the courtyard, Kouju happily calls out to Yuulin to go to that place. Yuulin says okay and they can rest at the pavilion ahead. At the pavilion, Yuulin says that it turns out that walking in the courtyard can actually be a fun thing and if she is alone, she would absolutely not have gone too far. Kouju happily tells her that if she is given that honor then she would gladly to accompany Her Highness any time. Yuulin blushes over Kouju as imaginary flowers blooms around her. She happily thinks that Kouju is so cute. Kouju says that she is really happy that she is summoned again by Her Highness because a few days ago, she wasn’t cautious that she caused some trouble to Her Highness. Embarrassed Yuulin remembers how shock she was upon seeing Kouju with Reishou before. Yuulin tries to say that it’s nothing, she.. She then blushes really red as she remembers Reishou running after her and telling her that she is his Princess. Kouju is puzzled over Yuulin’s reaction. Yuulin tensely wipes her forehead and tells herself to calm down for he is just saying that to her as someone acting as a Princess so there is no other deep meaning to it. Flashback: After what happened, thinking that he failed, Reishou had sheepishly apologize for surprising her and it was all due to his anxiousness and at a loss as to what to do [that he said that]. End flashback. Yuulin thinks that at that time, she wasn’t afraid of him. Her thoughts are interrupted when Kouju asks her if His Majesty will come to the harem. Yuulin tells Kouju that His Majesty told her that he is busy with work today. Kouju becomes a bit depressed over that. Somewhat puzzled, Yuulin asks her if she is looking for him and is there anything the matter. Blushing Kouju says that it is nothing but rather, she would want the three of them to chat together. Yuulin looks surprised and thinks, “What--?” At the government affairs room, Yuulin looks aghast as she thinks that afterwards whenever she meets with Kouju, the only things that they talk about is ‘His Majesty’ and the ‘harem’. Kouju would ask her what Reishou is like while in the harem, what is the life in the harem like, etc. Yuulin thinks that in this situation, Kouju is becoming more and more, cuter. She is surprised when Reishou calls out to her and asks what’s up with her since she looks absentminded. He smiles and asks, “Do you have any trouble? My Princess.” This made Yuulin blush. She tensely says, “Nothing, Your Majesty..you..that..” Reishou leans closer to her and asks, “..what about me?” This freaks Yuulin out that she quickly turns to the side and shouts that there’s no problem at all. “Ah, it seems that there is someone looking for His Majesty.” She is referring to Houen, who is at the door, staring at them. Puzzled, Reishou goes to talk with Houen. Yuulin glares at Reishou and thinks, “Darn-- that Wolf King..*furious* at one side, he looks cold-hearted with no emotion then at one side, he would even shameless play around with a cute girl! [<- not sure if she meant her or Kouju or maybe both^^;] I’ve obviously had seen both sides, it’s really such a grave crime!” [I cannot read what Reishou and Houen are talking about.]

While dusting some shelves, Yuulin is thinking that Reishou is making Kouju feel/act strange [<- make her fall for him], yet he didn’t feel in a tiny bit that she [Yuulin] is a hindrance. She then calls out to Gen who is reading a scroll at the side of the room. Gen asks her what it is. Yuulin asks him that in the harem, there is only one guy with many girls. “Can they live harmoniously and get along with each other?” To her shock, Gen laughs and says, “Of course, that’s impossible. A so-called harem’s appears to be grand and beautiful but essentially, it’s brimming of a bloodbath history! Those girls would fight just to be doted on by His Majesty..! If you don’t become strong, you won’t be able to survive! Gambatte [/do your best], cleaning lady!” Yuulin gloomily thinks that she doesn’t want to do her best regarding that. Going back to his reading, Gen laughs and muses that he finds this ‘play/drama’ to be really worth-seeing. “..forget it, you just do things in accordance to your nature.” Puzzled Yuulin looks at him. Yuulin then tells him that didn’t he said before that a harem can heal the king. Gen laughs and says that is so, for the king. Yuulin is puzzled over what her nature that Gen is talking about. While having tea with Yuulin again at the harem, Kouju laments that ever since that time, she wasn’t able to see His Majesty again. Thinking that such a cute girl looking quite pitiful, Yuulin tells her that it is because His Majesty is always busy. Yuulin becomes shock-aghast when Kouju starts crying and says that she is hated by Reishou. Yuulin tries to tell her that it isn’t so. Teary-eyed Kouju asks Yuulin as to when did she displeased His Majesty. “What should I do..*cries*” Feeling a stab of pain, Yuulin thinks that she couldn’t win against this. In order to comfort her, Yuulin timidly tells Kouju that next time, she’ll bring this up to His Majesty. Kouju asks if it is true. Yuulin mentally laments that it is all because of Reishou.. At the harem that night, Reishou stares at Yuulin and asks, “Yuulin..do you know what your job is suppose to be?” Yuulin goes into shock that she became the ‘bride’ in order to keep away other girls from Reishou. Yuulin timidly protests to him that Kouju, just simply seem to admire him and she doesn’t want him to repress his feelings [for Kouju] because of her, who is just working. Reishou looks at flustered Yuulin and asks if Kouju admires him by merely seeing both sides of the ‘Wolf King’. [<- I think it is because he isn’t that scary when he’s with her before.] Reishou smiles and says that it is nonsense. “At her age, she would just be wasting time [/wild goose chase] and this is also understandable.” Yuulin opens her eyes in shock as to what Reishou is saying. Reishou continues to casually say, “—but, there is a possibility that it is because of her father’s instructions, thus she cannot return empty-handed. No matter what the situation is..” He stops talking as he looks surprised over aghast Yuulin who is freaking out. Yuulin thinks, “This man-- what do you think of a girl’s thoughts [/feelings]--! This is really unbelievable!”

Yuulin starts shouting at aghast-puzzled Reishou. “How could you say such things to such a cute, elegant, [and] with a warm personality girl who likes you! You’re so cold-blooded! Idiot! Playboy! *pop vein* I totally know that you don’t have that desire [to see her]. I still feel that she is really pitiful for wanting to see a person like you! Good night!” Aghast Reishou tries to call her name to calm her down but it was to no avail and she has already left. In bed, flustered Yuulin angrily thinks that he was the one who first acted as ‘Wolf King’ in order to fool others and yet, what is that ‘nonsense’ he is talking about. She thinks, “From this, what is that ‘only you is enough’, what is that ‘you are my Princess’, then that means that I’m the only one who is being agitated [/excited] over it..for His Majesty, it fundamentally has no meaning to him..! *flustered and shaking in anger* How disappointing..! In any event, this is all just a wild goose chase!” The next day[?], at his office/room, Reishou comments out loud that it is really hard to guess through Yuulin for how could it be that what he said had something to do with her [to make her that angry]. Just as Jun enters the room, Reishou looks at the side and laments, “This is how it is to have one Princess. I don’t feel that it is enough for me alone to handle a harem..” Jun tells him not to consider Yuulin using the normal criteria. Reishou sighs and says that Yuulin is too friendly with others and she easily trusts people. “She is obviously afraid of the ‘Wolf King’ even if this is the case, she would still stay at the harem. *scowling* ..I hope that she won’t be hurt by some nonsense dispute..” [This is a bit small but it seems that] Jun says that it is no big deal but Reishou says that he doesn’t think so. Back at the harem, Yuulin is in her cleaning job. Walking ahead of Yuulin who is carrying a pail of water, Gen happily says that they had a quarrel and he thinks that it is good thing. Yuulin angrily asks what’s good about it. “Geez! What does that man think of a girl’s good intention! At least pay a bit of attention in rejecting..” Gen laughs and tells Yuulin that whether it is of good or bad intention, being in Reishou’s position, it is all the same. “Because the king posses everything, so anyone have a request[/demand from him]. With so many people and there’s a constant intriguing [/fighting against each other], he cannot take to heart each and every one of them.” Yuulin looks quietly at Gen over what he said. Gen tells her that it is such a rare sight to see someone daring to quarrel with His Majesty. “Because just contradicting him, there is a possibility that person will be immediately be obliterated..” Yuulin sadly thinks that Reishou is like that normally..will give up on everything. [<- I think give up on believing in people.]

Walking at the courtyard’s bridge, Yuulin apologizes to Kouju that His Majesty cannot find the time to see her. Flustered Kouju says is that so, then how about changing the day to meet. Feeling pained, Yuulin tells Kouju that no, for she thinks that afterwards, it ought to be also very hard.. Yuulin thinks that even if her heart hurts, but since there is no possibility [of Reishou meeting her] then this way, Kouju won’t be hurt that deeply. Yuulin is at a loss upon seeing Kouju crying again. Kouju asks if no matter what, it won’t do. Flustered Yuulin can only apologize to her. While Yuulin begins to wonder if she should let Kouju see His Majesty even if she knew that this will only hurt Kouju, Kouju mutters that Yuulin is cruel. “So cruel..Her Highness thinks that His Majesty and the harem can all be monopolized by one person, right?” Yuulin is surprised by that remark. Backing away, Kouju exclaims that she can definitely harmoniously get along with Her Highness but why cannot Her Highness accommodate her. Yuulin tells her to calm down a bit. Kouju cries, “--even if it’s a little bit, why won’t you share some to me!” Kouju continues to walk backwards nearing the edge of the bridge that has no railing. Yuulin shouts at her that there’s danger behind her. Yuulin quickly pulls Kouju to safety but she loses her balance and falls into the water. Kouju looks aghast as she looks down the water where Yuulin fell. She calls out to her then shouts for help. She is surprised when someone suddenly runs and jumps into the water. Meanwhile in the water, Yuulin cannot breathe as she sinks down. She berates herself that things ended up badly. “‘Monopolize by one person’? ‘Share’? His Majesty, huh? --Everyone is fighting over the king, but this thing..” She then felt someone grabs her hand. Soon, Yuulin is out of the waters, saved by dripping wet Reishou. Reishou worriedly asks Yuulin if she is alright. Coughing, Yuulin asks why he is there. In angry wolf mode, Reishou shouts at Kouju, “--Han Kouju! What is the meaning of this? Clearly explain yourself!”

Kouju looks really frightened. Yuulin shouts that it isn’t what he thinks. “It’s because I wasn’t careful that my foot slipped! Please don’t be angry, it’s too scary!” Reishou still looks angry but Yuulin tearfully shouts, “I’m alright!” After a pause, Reishou looks as if he is trying not to be angry. He tells her that it is because he felt uneasy so he went to see what the situation is but he never thought.. He hugs surprised Yuulin and mutters as to how she has been tormenting his heart [/driving him crazy]. Later on, crying Kouju holds on to Yuulin and says that she didn’t think of harming her. Yuulin says that she is alright so Kouju shouldn’t cry anymore. Seeing that Kouju is still crying, Yuulin holds Kouju’s face up and tells her, “--Kouju, if you really want His Majesty, I want you to have the feeling of ‘I want this person to be happy’, then come and snatch him away. If it isn’t that way, then I cannot give him to you.” Yuulin wipes Kouju’s tears away and thinks that it shouldn’t be ‘want’ but rather, a deeper feeling. At the Han residence, Kouju tearfully cries to her father that she doesn’t have confidence anymore. “Because things totally didn’t progress in accordance to what I had anticipated, and I’ve made the Wolf King angry, it’s truly very terrifying..” Shisei comforts his daughter by saying that she only has to wait for some time and definitely, there won’t be any problem. “..there is no one, aside from you, who is suitable to become Princess.” He is surprised when Kouju says, “You’re wrong, father. *flushing and moved with emotion* Her Highness who covered up for me in front of His Majesty..[she’s] really, really amazing..” His father goes, “..eh?” At the harem, Yuulin angrily tells timid Reishou, “In short, please do not casually deceive girls, --so first endure a bit for having only me as the Princess.” [I think she made a side comment that will decrease the damage Reishou would cause.] Reishou blushes in surprise over what she said. He smiles and says, “--Yes.” Puzzled, Yuulin asks why he answered so bluntly. Reishou just smiles at her. Narration: “Right now, I am your bride. Annoying me alone, by this no future [prospect] throbbing [heartbeat], is enough.”

Hehe, and yes, Yuulin is still totally clueless about his feelings for her or rather, her own feelings. She now considers what she is feeling towards him as some ‘annoyance’ ^^; Hehe, she still thinks her throbbing heart is fear and not love. =P She even went as far as thinking that how Reishou treats girls like Kouju is the same as with her that she thought of him as a playboy. ^^;; Contrary to what she thinks, he isn’t good with women especially since he is at a loss what to do on how to deal with her. Unfortunately, Jun is of no help to him. Hehe, and unlike Reishou, Yuulin has a love adviser in the form of Gen who helps her understand Reishou. I think that for her to think he treats all girls the same is the real reason why she is angry aside from Reishou’s reaction to meeting Kouju. I guess Yuulin is the only one who can make Reishou speechless like that. If she is really fired up, she is the one who’s taming the wolf king =P And, amusingly, she has won Kouju’s admiration so I don’t think Kouju will be a threat in the near future. Since Shisei dots on her, I don’t think he would force her to do anything. I actually wonder if she still likes Reishou after seeing that angry side of his. Hm..from what Yuulin told Kouju, I really doubt she can give Reishou up easily for Kouju even if Kouju finally has the right mindset. Actually, if Kouju knew what makes Reishou happy, she might want to give up on him since what makes him happy is Yuulin. Anyway, the next arc is fun as Yuulin goes back to her hometown with puppy Reishou who made her allow him to tag along =P And, we’ll meet male Yuulin’s childhood friend, Ki Gaku and her younger brother.

Vampire Knight [Special Night: Some Bad Assessment on Mister Hunter]
    Wednesday, November 17, 2010

Hehe, I just found that the special is out in Chinese and it is actually quite good. This is obviously from Zero’s point of view. In school, he narrates that he is his new teacher’s boring lecture. He got hit on the head by Kaito with a book. [I don’t get what Kaito said about the cover/shades being open ^^; but I think he meant the shades are put down a bit so Zero can quit looking down.] He narrates that being a student isn’t his job but rather, it is hunting vampires as a hunter. At the hunter’s association, Kaien refuses to give Zero a new list since Zero tends to overdo it and that is what his observer [Kaito, I presume] also said. Zero says he understands. He promptly sits down. Kaien says that he thought he is going to complain. Zero says that there is a craving but then, he still has his own consciousness. Zero decides to just wait and pretend to be good. Kaien says that it is good that he is conscious and occasionally, he should watch and study him work since this is complicated. Suddenly, the door opens and Toga shouts if there is any free hunter there. Zero thinks, “See..just waiting here and trouble would just certainly come.” Kaien cutely holds his name plate of ‘association leader[?]’ = I cannot because I got this paper work. Toga asks for assistance since the other party is a lot [of vampires] and if things become complicated, they might counterattack. Just when Kaien is about to say something about it, Zero is already at the door telling Toga that he’ll go. Zero narrates that because those people get easily provoke, it is their job to deal with vampires who would harm humans. At a night club, a female vampire is singing with her band. Zero, Kaito and Touga are watching her with the audience. In the dressing room, the singer complains what’s the problem when she is just singing. She whines that it is true that her audience are humans but no one is getting hurt and can’t vampires play music. She asks if she really cannot sing and weren’t there other vampires doing that. Touga tells her that she isn’t the problem but rather the listening audience.

Touga tells her that the vampires listening outside the club have already gathered. The singer blushes at how amazing she is. Touga tells her that because of her singing, it makes them really excited that after the concert, towards the people who just watched the concert and the security guards/police, they would.. The singer exclaims if they would kill the humans. Touga says they would cause a ruckus and tease around that it is such a problem. Zero looks surprised and asks, “Humans aren’t killed?” Touga says, “Nope..” Zero turns around and says that it’s really boring so he’s leaving. =P Touga grabs him before he can leave. Touga tells the singer that her songs apparently incite the vampire youngsters’ power. Touga tells Zero that is how it is. Zero sighs and lamely says okay. The singer laments about not being able to sing anymore because of this but then, if she sings, she can actually help them for don’t they want to kill those people earlier. [<- not too sure on this but basically, she can lure vampires.] Later on, the singer starts to sing again. The young vampires are listening to her on the roof of the building. A security guard calls out to them and asks how they got there when the door is supposed to be locked. One of the vampires confront him and is about to say who he is [<- a vampire] when Zero points his gun on the guy’s head to stop him. Touga is shouting to them that they are not going to kill them nor are they are from a violent group but.. Touga stops upon seeing the other vampires in the other buildings carrying light banners and fans for the singer. Kaito calls out to the substitute association head and asks aren’t they only like some fan group of the singer. Touga changes his tactic and shouts at the young vampires that it is unavoidable that they are excited but as the singer’s fans, they are causing too much ruckus/noise and this will lower [/devalue] the singer’s status. The vampires freak out over this and they say that they never thought of this before. Zero narrates that their job is not only to hunt vampires but also to look everywhere for vampires that could cause trouble and correct them [before things get worse]. “This is also an important work..but this work doesn’t suit me.”

Zero tells the singer that wanting to be on a HIGH together with humans in a small crowded place, should put an end to the possibility of an incident where blood flows. [<- I’m not sure about this, too. I’m thinking that maybe humans and vampire fans should be separated but then, won’t the other fans get jealous so maybe if they are together, they can enjoy it together?] Zero tells her that if she wants to continue to sing then she should change the current situation and that is her obligation. That is the condition for letting her continue to sing. The singer tells him that it is quite regrettable that he wasn’t able to kill vampires since it is written all over his face. Zero turns and looks at her. The singer says that his value [/evaluation] within the council of ancients is really bad. Zero continues to look at her then he smiles. He turns around and says, “I know.” After he leaves, the singer falls on the ground and thinks that Zero is really scary for she thought she is going to be killed. Outside, Kaito comments about evaluating such a inferior/poor[?] person and did that person really.. [<- not too sure again ^^;] Zero sadly[?] smiles and says that it is precisely as he said. So basically, Zero just wants to kill those vampires and would probably do so with any excuse. Of course, that causes his assessment among vampires to be bad. Hehe, too bad Zero didn’t know the full details of this case that he quickly agreed to do something he doesn’t want to do. Yes, I find it cute that he wants to go home since there is no killing on this case. Strangely enough, I wonder if there is a possibility of Zero still changing or be ‘guided well’ with these sempai hunters around him. Right now, they can still control him and well, makes me think that they are treating him like a ‘younger brother’. ^^; Anyway, for corrections, just check the English scanlation when it is out. I’m not too confident on this summary. ^^;; Scans by Silver Vitae

Free Talk: Status and Ojousama wa Oyomesama Teaser
    Tuesday, November 16, 2010

    Hiyo! The one who was going to upload some new chapters in BW has gone ‘missing in action’ and the other two who used to do that is also ‘mia’ so, right now, I’m back to working on Ookami-heika no Hanayome. Well, there are still some backlogs to do while waiting. Updates might be a bit slow since I’m not feeling that well lately = no energy and I don’t know why ^^;;

Anyway, I’ll just talk a bit about Ojousama wa Oyomesama that is quite interesting lately. It does seem to be more on what happened to the other guys namely Kaoru and Setsuna who like Towako but well, Towako and Yuuga are smooth sailing, had sex and everything. It is also more on about the five main families. In the last arc, Kaoru lost the flower design competition because of some inside job among the judges. I do think that he’ll end up with Saho but then, Saho did some underhand things to win and she is blackmailed not to confess it. There seems to be this guy who is plotting something against the five families but I browsed through the series so I’m not sure what he is up to. He is working with the fiance of Setsuna’s ex-fiancee from one of the five families. My heart goes out to Setsuna. I felt sad when he said that if one’s love isn’t returned then it is a ‘failure’ because that would mean one’s perseverance and charm isn’t enough. That was after he learned the two had sex. Anyway, fast forward, there is a meeting of the five families. They learn that Setsuna is from one of the main families that specialize in dancing. Since Setsuna is sickly and weak when he was young, his parents are frustrated over it and don’t think he can inherit the family. When he was 11 years old, they had another son. Thus, they discard Setsuna who in turn was taken in by Towako’s family and Setsuna has fallen for Towako. Setsuna confess to Yuuga that he couldn’t forget about Towako so he is leaving. Yuuga can stay at Towako’s side and make her happy but he, Setsuna, is the only one who can protect her if something happens. Setsuna is telling Yuuga about that guy who is plotting something against the five families when the others tell the two that the meeting is starting. It seems the head of one of the families say that only the main and successor of the families can be in that meeting. To Towako’s family surprise, Setsuna’s real family wants him back. Towako’s mother tries to protest but Setsuna apologizes to everyone and says that he does want to go back to his family. This is up to chapter 72. I’m thinking that what Setsuna is doing is for the best since he can move on though it does seem like he is some ingrate for leaving the people who brought him up. Setsuna’s parents are really thick-faced to get him back now since he is now healthy unlike before. Anyway, no matter what happens, I still think that Setsuna will end up with Yuuga’s sister who likes Setsuna =P Anyway, read the past summaries in bebexiu.

Hadashi de Bara wo Fume [Chapter 40]
    Saturday, November 13, 2010

Since he is in a pinch, Eisuke blurted out that Sumi is his younger sister. Sumi looks horrified. Soichiroh looks tense. And of course, Natsumi feels triumphant over this. The onlookers shout in disbelief that their president’s wife is Eisuke’s sister. Someone shouts that they are going to call a board of directors’ meeting. At the meeting, Takemoto enters the room and tells Natsuki that they have asked the resident neighbors of the Kitamuras and they verified that the president’s wife is indeed Eisuke’s sister. Takemoto puts a picture of the siblings together on the table. Soichiroh looks tense. Natsuki stands up and says that it is quite regrettable. He tells everyone that Soichiroh has hidden the true identity/background of his wife and decided on his own to hire Kitamura Eisuke. “Because the company’s money has been embezzled, it had caused the credit [/trustworthiness] of Ashida Products to decline.” Somewhat tense, Soichiroh says that he will take responsibility in paying the losses. Natsuki tells him that the issue here is no longer about the money. “I’ll take the opportunity to clearly tell you, President Ashida! I want to discuss over your qualifications as a president! You only inherited Ashida Products because you are the past president’s grandson and everyone has already seen your capability in taking charge of the company. Honestly speaking, you lack the competence of being a leader. And for us to lose the trust of a joint company, you should assume full responsibility [/take the blame] regarding this Kitamura incident!” Soichiroh angrily stands up and shouts that he won’t resign. With that, he left the board room. Natsuki just looks at him. Soichiroh goes to his office where the Kitamura siblings are waiting. Just when Sumi is about to apologize about what happened today, Eisuke quickly rushes in front and prostrates down to Soichiroh. He shouts, “I’m really sorry! It is totally all my fault! I’ll take any kind of punishment whether you kill me or cut my flesh from my body!” Flustered, Sumi follows suit as she also bends down to Soichiroh. She apologizes and says it is because she asked Soichiroh for her brother to work in the company.

While Sumi is bowing down, kind-looking Soichiroh pulls her up and says that it isn’t her fault. Then, someone knocks on the door. Nozomu enters and asks if the president is free to talk. Soichiroh also pulls Eisuke up and tells the two to go home first. Looking at flustered Sumi, Soichiroh tells her not to worry. Nozomu is giving them an evil stare. After they left, Nozomu stops calling him president. He says, “Soichiroh..no one is standing at your side.” This stuns Soichiroh as he asks, “What?” Nozomu tells him to listen carefully that by Natsuki’s lead, he started to change the company by firing all of the people. [<- I’m not sure on this if it is all of the people or only those responsible for hiring Eisuke.] Because of this, all the talented people will move to other companies and it will cause Ashida Product to sink into a crisis. “You fundamentally had a fake marriage with Miss Sumi in order to inherit the Ashida’s wealth, right?” Surprised and flustered, Soichiroh asks how he knew that. Nozomu tells him that Komai has already told him everything. While Soichiroh looks stunned over this, Nozomu tells him that if this is exposed, Sumi’s background will be dug up by the others and his relatives, the Ashida family, will definitely go up in arms and annul his marriage with Sumi then fight [against Soichiroh] over the properties. “One day, you will be driven away from Ashida Products. Although it’s quite regretful, but you can no longer continue on holding on to the position of being president. If you are expelled from the Ashida family, you will become flat broke. But..if you give Sumi to me, I’ll help you manage this organization and as much as possible, make you stay as president in the company.” Nozomu holds Soichiroh’s shoulder and asks, “How about it? Isn’t it a good idea?” With his hand that has the wedding ring, Soichiroh slaps Nozomu’s hand away from his shoulder and starts to walk away. Nozomu calls out to him. Soichiroh turns to him and says, “There’s nothing good to say about this.” [<- there’s nothing to talk about] Leaving Nozomu looking serious-somewhat surprised, Soichiroh goes out of the room then slams the door close.

At the hallway, he sees the Kitamura siblings waiting for him. He asks them that didn’t he tell to go home ahead of him. Sumi tries to protest but Soichiroh assures her again not to worry. He tells Eisuke to go home first and wait for the news. Eisuke says okay. Soichiroh tells Sumi again that everything will be fine. After one more look, Sumi walk away with her brother. At the Ashida residence, Atari happily calls out to his sister to show off his perfect score on the test. He tells her that the teacher praised him for it. Sumi says that he’s amazing. Atari giggles over this then he notices that she is crying. He asks if it is because he got a perfect score that she is crying in happiness. He is puzzled when Sumi starts crying more. She bends down and kept on apologizing to Atari. At a mansion by the sea, Soichiroh goes to visit his grandfather. The butler tells him that his master isn’t feeling well so Soichiroh shouldn’t make the visit too long. Soichiroh says okay. Then, he enters his grandfather’s bedroom. Soichiroh looks a bit flustered as he calls out to his grandfather who is sleeping on his bed. By the bedside table, Soichiroh notices that there is a wedding picture of him and Sumi. He gently smiles as he remembers Sumi asking if they are going to have a wedding and the food is delicious. He also remembers Sumi telling him that he has her and how happy she is about the wedding ring he gave her since she felt that they are a real married couple. Soichiroh somewhat holds up his hand that has the wedding ring on his finger. While sitting on the chair beside his sleeping grandfather, Soichiroh says that even if it is grandpa who made him quickly marry that he had to hurriedly try to find a wife.. He smiles and says, “But, she is a pretty good [/fine] woman. Grandpa, I won’t lose [to them/this].” Then, he returns home. He goes into the bedroom and apologizes for coming back late. He is surprised that Sumi isn’t on the bed. Then, he notices something on the table. It is Sumi’s ring. Of course, Soichiroh looks surprised over this.

Ah..Soichiroh is once again, too late. He realizes his feelings a bit too late and he came home too late. =P He had underestimated Sumi’s guilt and well, she pretty much doesn’t have the face to look at Soichiroh because of what happened. But then, I think a lot could happen while Soichiroh is away. If Sumi didn’t run away, there is a possibility of Nozomu getting to her first. If Nozomu proposes that same idea to Sumi, I think Sumi would have agreed to it. Whatever it is, I think Soichiroh will spend that night looking for her. It does seem that he finally treasures Sumi that he isn’t going to take Nozomu’s offer. Nozomu must have looked surprise because he didn’t expect that Soichiroh is already a changed man since he is willing to give up on Sumi for anything. Maybe this will finally prove to Nozomu that Soichiroh does love Sumi, contrary to the impression he had before. This is the second time Soichiroh refused to give up on Sumi. I do wonder what Komai is thinking as to why he told it to Nozomu. Since this is Komai, I think he has a plan or he said that in order to get Nozomu’s trust and well, get Soichiroh realize what is really important to him. Choosing Sumi over wealth is the wise choice for Soichiroh because money can be earned again. Even if his family disowned him, it is no big deal since they never accepted him in the first place, except his grandfather. Sumi’s family can provide the love that he wasn’t able to receive from his own family. If they boot him out of the company, he can just show them by building his own company from scratch. Hehe, it could actually be challenge for him to prove that he is better than Natsuki. To do that, Soichiroh just needs to get back the people he had hurt before like Nozomu, and Komai. As I mentioned before, Keiko is also an asset. As for Eisuke, I really hope that he quit gambling and straighten up his life because this incident ought to tell him that his foolishness can ruin people’s lives. What he did with Sumi turned out okay so he wasn’t that repentant but now, he ruined a bright future for all of them. I wonder how he is going to make it up to Soichiroh, Sumi and the kids. Since he is somewhat cunning, I also wonder if he realizes that Natsuki used him as a trap for Soichiroh. Well, we got Soichiroh’s priorities straight so I wonder if the author will finally tackle about Sumi’s past. Scans by 强强书店 & 粉薰囡囡 in baidu

    Stardust★Wink [Chapter 23] + Chibi-teasers of Other Series
    Friday, November 12, 2010

[Free Talk: There are some mini-teasers from 鏡花水月’s site about the Lala special this month. It isn’t much since she is currently having her exams. This is based on what I understood since she is mostly making short comments. In Ouran High Host Club, if I’m not mistaken, it seems that Kyouya is having some sort of experiment on Honey that he made Honey from 148 cm to 180 cm. ^^;; It seems that the overseas studies host club has gone 180 degrees? It probably means that they had a change of 180 degrees? Not sure..probably like what happened with the characters in Bleach and One Piece as of late. She mentioned that Haruhi has become quite petit. Just as PSDOL tagged, the special on VK is all about Zero and the hunters. 鏡花水月 comments that it is like ‘dragging clouds’ so I guess it is not an important side story. She mentioned that the author is probably trying to make it up for the Zero fans since he hasn’t been appearing in the main series as of late. But then, I really tend to think of side stories as just ‘fun not really important type of one-shot stories’. I have no idea about the La Corda one since I don’t recognize some of the characters ^^;; Anyway, she mentioned about Barajou no Kiss. It is just a side story but I’m not too thrilled for it seems that the author is trying to pair off Mutsuki and Mitsuru ^^; Hope it is just a joke type of one shot and not become a reality ^^;]

Cover page: “Anna’s special gift! What’s inside?!” Narration: “Question: Speaking of birthdays, what would you like to get as a gift that will make you happy?” Nanoka says that right now, she really likes clothes but if she didn’t get what she liked, she would be very perplexed. Aya smiles and says that if it is her, she will already be very happy if someone remembered her birthday. “Regarding gifts, I will be even happier if I receive something self-made.” Chikai, their photography club adviser, says that is wrong for as an adult, how can one be satisfied with that. “Even if love cannot be estimated based on money but based on that...—let me say, *freaking out* Right now we are in the middle of club activity! I am your club adviser!” Holding a small notebook to take notes, Anna tensely apologizes to her and says that it is because a friend’s birthday is coming up soon. Chikai tells her that there is no problem about the birthday but during GW [Golden Week], they should still seriously do their club activities. Aya asks if they are going to use their cellphones to take pictures again. Chikai winks and says that this time they are going to use SLR camera. “It’s so much fun~ a SLR camera♪” [Info: A Single-lens reflex camera is a camera that typically uses a semi-automatic moving mirror system that permits the photographer to see exactly what will be captured by the film or digital imaging system. (Source: wiki)] While walking home, Anna tells the other two that she usually hears about the SLR camera but what’s the difference between it and an ordinary camera. Nanoka says that she doesn’t know but she thinks that perhaps because the lens is bigger so it should make the pictures look better. Aya asks Anna if the birthday she is talking about earlier is Sou’s birthday. Anna happily says that it is, on April 29th. Nanoka stares at Aya and asks if until now, she still remembers Sou’s birthday. Aya sweatdrops and says that there’s no special meaning to it. Anna happily exclaims, “I really want to hype up the celebration and Hinata is also coming!!” Thinking of sleeping Hinata just like Anna did before, Nanoka looks surprised and asks, “Hinata?” Holding up her hand, Anna corrects her and says that it isn’t Hinata-classmate but the one from their side, Tokura Hinata. Nanoka remembers and says that it is the one who moved to Tokyo to study. Aya comments that it amazing.

Thinking, Anna says out loud that she has already used up all the conventional ways to celebrate a birthday and an ordinary gift is too ‘old’. Nanoka happily suggests about trying this idea. “Outside, it looks like an ordinary gift, but when he opens it~ Kaboom!” It is an explosion that makes Sou get an afro hair. While Nanoka giggles over this, Aya thinks that Nanoka has totally not reflected on what she did before. Nanoka is surprised when Anna says that’s it. The scene shifts to Hinata who asks on the phone, “‘Surprise birthday’?” Anna happily says that is right. “It’s called ‘He thought that it is another conventional way of celebrating a birthday but in the end, he is gravely mistaken since we made him think that we won’t celebrate this year but actually, a really good birthday celebration has already been intentionally prepared!! He’ll be extremely surprised’” Hinata says that it is such a long name. Anna exclaims if he wants her to tell him about it in detail. Hinata says that there is no need because he understands it based on what she just said. While he seems to be walking in the streets, Hinata says that there is no need to intentionally surprise Sou. Hinata is surprised when Anna interrupts him by exclaiming that no, she wants this year’s celebration to be livelier than before. She thinks that she had thought it over about that Nanoka incident and she realized that she always made Sou angry and unhappy but he would forgive her every time so.. Anna seriously tells Hinata that in the end, this is Sou’s birthday so she wants him to be happy. Hinata says, “So that’s it..I understand.” Anna is delighted over this as she says, “Realy?! Hinata♡♡” Hinata tells her that there’s no problem on his side but Anna shouldn’t let Sou notice this plan. Anna happily says yes then she goes into shock for she had already mentioned to Sou about his birthday. She thinks of a way to salvage the situation. She emails Sou a message, “Speaking of April 29th..It’s *sparkles* Showa Day *sparkles* >_< It’s a national holiday (*∙ワ∙*)/” ← Anna’s [lame] attempt to tell Sou that she has forgotten about his birthday. Sou just looks puzzled and wonders what is the meaning of that message.

The school bell rings. Looking at some freshly baked cookies on a baking tray, Anna and Nanoka happily exclaim that it looks delicious. Nanoka happily hugs Aya and says that it’s no wonder that Aya is an expert in cooking that she’ll also bake things perfectly. “Marry me--♡♡” While Anna is still drooling over the cookies, Aya just tells Nanoka, okay, okay and thanks her for the comment. Aya tells Anna that it will be perfect after she packages and gives it as a gift to Sou. Anna says okay and thanks Aya for coming to help her. She tells them that she failed in making a cake last year. Before they parted, Anna happily waves and thanks Aya again. Aya looks a bit worriedly at Anna as she leaves. Nanoka asks Aya what it is. Aya says that it is nothing but how are Anna and Sou in class lately. Puzzled, Nanoka says that they are the same as before. “They still go to school together and lending notes. I would say that the feeling between them is pretty good.” Sighing in relief, Aya says, “Is that so. If it’s that how it is, then it’s good..” Anna happily skips on her way home. She sings that when she gets home, she’ll pack the cookies. She is surprised when Sou suddenly comes from behind her and says that she smells of something sweet. Shocked Anna quickly backs away and exclaims when he arrived there. Sou asks if she has something that he can eat. “Give it to me. I’m quite hungry.” A bit flustered and nervous, Anna asks what he is saying as she denies that she has anything and there is no such scent. Anna happily tries to endure not giving it to him right away. “I should act as if nothing had happened.” Anna then notices that Sou is reading a magazine about part-time jobs. Anna asks if he is looking for a job and has he found one already. Sou says that there are some vacancies but it hasn’t been decided yet since the requirement is for someone who is at least 16 years old. “In brief, I will have an interview tomorrow.” Anna looks stunned. Sou is surprised when Anna shouts, “Wha?! Tomorrow?! Why is it unexpectedly tomorrow?!” Sou asks, “What? It’s alright if it’s tomorrow.” Anna shouts, “It’s not good at all! Because tomorrow is-- (Tomorrow is--) *looks dark* Showa Day ♥” Sou tells her that he knows. Anna’s smile froze as she thinks, “Wah—(cry)!!” At her room, crying Anna quickly calls Hinata to tell him that Sou said that he has a job interview tomorrow. Hinata says ah, and that’s probably because Sou will be 16 years old tomorrow. Anna worriedly asks if Sou will not be at home the whole day and will it finish early. Hinata then says, “Ya-- What now~~ Speaking of coming back..” Tearful Anna asks, “What?” Hinata says, “Sorry. I cannot come tomorrow. A lot of GW assignments came out today so I have no time to go there. *Anna looks stunned* Just greet Sou a happy birthday for me.”

The next day, Anna’s father is puzzled that Anna is home alone since this rarely happens because every year, she’ll be at Sou’s place to celebrate his birthday. While vacuuming the floor, Anna’s mother says that Hinata isn’t around and right now, the time has finally arrived wherein they are in the age when they are busy in their respective lives. In her room, sulking Anna is sitting on the floor by her bed while looking at the package bag which contains the cookies. She mutters that it is rare for her to bake it well. To ease her frustration, Anna recklessly starts eating the cookies while shouting, “Forget it, I’ll just eat all of it!! *munch munch*” She stops and thinks, “Why is it that I’m all alone right now. I do not need to think of any strange things [<- surprise birthday?] and it will be okay to just say it to Sou. Together with Hinata, I’ll give a gift to Sou which will surprise him. I want to tell him, ‘Happy Birthday’.” She is surprised to hear her cellphone ringing. It is the ringtone she used for Sou. She quickly answers it and shouts, “Sou?!” Sou asks her if she is at home. Anna says that she is at home and is his interview over. Sou replies, “Compared to that, you still haven’t returned the biology notebook that I lend you. Mid-terms is coming soon so give it back to me. Right now, as in give it back to me within 20 seconds.” Sou hangs up on her as Anna has a frozen smile that is about to explode in anger. “That brat~~~♥” Carrying the notebook, Anna rings the doorbell at Sou’s apartment. Anna angrily thinks that Sou wants to get the notebook immediately yet he won’t come out to meet her. She twists the doorknob and notices that it is open. She angrily stomps to Sou’s room and shouts, “*pop vein* Hey, Sou?!” When she opens the door, party poppers explode. She is surprised to see flowers, birthday cake, and champagne bottle with three fluted glasses. Her childhood friends happily say, “Happy- Birthday-” Anna is speechless as she tensely asks, “Huh?” The two smiling guys say, “Long time no see.” Looking aghast, Anna points to them and asks what are they doing. “Let me say, Hinata?! Didn’t you say that you won’t come over?!” Holding up his hand, Hinata bluntly tells her that it’s a lie. The two guys toast each other’s glasses and simultaneously say, “The plan of ‘She thought that it is another conventional way of celebrating a birthday but in the end, she is gravely mistaken since we make her think that we won’t celebrate this year ☆ but actually, a really good birthday celebration is already been deliberately prepared!! She’ll be pleasantly surprised ☆’ is a success-- *ka-ching* Toast ☆”

Anna is totally shock and aghast with open mouth upon learning this. Waving as she points at the two, Anna shouts, “What is that! What is that! I cannot accept- this!! Hinata, you traitor-!! What’s the reason for doing this to me?! Isn’t today Sou’s birthday!!” Hinata says, “It’s because of Sou’s suggestion. ‘Because Hinata and Anna fought during their birthdays, so today will become our (the three of us) birthday.” Anna looks at Sou. Sou says that it’s for convenience. Anna says, “..what. Then, it is okay to just make it Sou and Hinata’s birthday. I’ve already received your gifts..” Hinata puts a carnation flower on Anna’s ear and says, “But, I haven’t personally told you. I wish you a happy birthday, Anna.” Teary-eyed Anna thinks that they are so cunning that only, she alone-- Holding another carnation flower, Hinata also greets Sou a happy birthday. “Let me help you wear this.” Sou tells him that he doesn’t want to wear it. While Hinata looks somewhat depressed over the limp flower and muttering that he specially bought it, Anna happily exclaims that she baked some cookies. While she is telling them that she is going to bring it over, the guys are puzzled when she stops talking midway. Anna just remembered that she had recklessly eaten the cookies. While frantically running out, Anna shouts, “No, there might be some leftover!!” While the two guys look at the closed door, Sou comments that she vanished quite fast. They are surprised when gloomy Anna opens the door again. Crying and aghast, Anna holds a cookie and says, “Only one piece is left..” The guys look at her speechlessly. Still crying ala waterfalls, Anna says, “I’m sorry, it would have been good if two are left..” Hinata says that Sou should have it since it is his birthday. Sou calls him stupid. “It’s very simple to make one cookie into two.” Sou takes the cookie from Anna and bites off one half. He gives the other half to Hinata. Hinata thanks him. Sou eats his half and says that it is quite good. Anna is delighted to hear that. Hinata munches over the cookie and says that it is a good 7 out of 10. Anna happily explains, “Actually, I’ve made stars, hearts, and other different shaped cookies. But, isn’t it amazing?! It’s a miracle that the only one left is unexpectedly the Pikachu-shaped cookie!!” The two guys look speechless at her or rather, Hinata just looks weird-out while Sou looks totally shock. They couldn’t believe that weird creature-shaped cookie is actually Pikachu. Anna happily says that it is fate because that is Sou’s favorite Pokemon creature.

Aghast, Sou says, “Take back what you said, that is Ditto right..ah, but then, I’m the only one who knows Pokemon really well..” [Since I researched it, Ditto is called Metamon in Japanese. I found it thanks to the raws =P Ditto has the form of an amorphous blob with a simplistic face. (Source: wikipedia) According to Pokedex, it has the ability to reconstitute its entire cellular structure to transform into whatever it sees.] While Sou is talking, the other two are already looking at the cake. Anna asks if they bought the cake. Hinata says yes. Anna happily says, “Then~ let’s start to eat it. This is a rare occasion ♪” On top of the strawberry cake, there is a heart shape chocolate wherein it is written, ‘Happy Birthday Sou Hinata Anna 2010.4.29’ Anna happily says, “Let’s have a toast. Toast ♪ Is this wine?” Someone says that it’s champagne for kids. Anna says, okay, let’s have a toast. Then someone starts saying/singing happy birthday. Afterwards, Hinata’s mother is crying as she asks if Hinata is already going to leave. “We only seen each other after being separated for a long time..I’m very lonely if I cannot see Hinata-chan?!” Hinata says that even if she says that, he still has classes tomorrow. “Sorry.” Sou comments what kind of talk is that between a mother and a son. Anna sighs and says that it would be nice if it is still vacation on GW’s 30th. Hinata smiles and says that it is really true that he has a lot of assignments during GW so he won’t be able to come on GW break again. “But on summer vacation, [I/we] can have fun as much as we want.” He waves back at them and bids them goodbye. Happy Anna and serious Sou wave back. As they head back to their apartments, Anna happily tells Sou that it is such a short ‘meeting each other again’. Sou agrees with her and says that it is really good that it seems that Hinata is doing well and is very happy. Anna happily says yes. Then, a somewhat serious Sou says, “This way, I can be decided on this resolve.” Anna innocently asks, “Resolve?” To Anna’s surprise, Sou tells her, “Anna, starting tomorrow, I’ll be going to school alone. Also, in class, I won’t talk with you. *looks really serious* So, Anna, you also shouldn’t talk to me again.”

I really like the ‘surprise birthday’ trick that they pulled on Anna. It’s amusing that Anna fell for her own idea. Hehe, if her friends can easily trick her, what more of other people? =P These three really had a special bond with them and I get a feeling that April 29th, would become a day wherein they will always celebrate a reunion of sorts for years to come or perhaps even when they all grow up and live their own separate lives. This pretty much confirm that shows how close the two guys are compared to Anna to either of the two. They look so cute when they did that toast. Anna is still rash as ever for she stupidly ate the cookies in frustration, not thinking that in the end, she still has to give Sou a birthday gift. ^^; Even her ‘I don’t remember your birthday’ alibi is really lame. Oh well, one’s personality cannot change easily overnight but Anna does has her own charm especially how she really tried to make it up to Sou after what happened before. Now, about what Sou said at the end, I’m thinking that there are two possibilities or intention as to why he said it. First, he might want to make Anna always think of him since he seems to want to sever his relationship with her. It is like how he was being mean to her during the ‘group date’. It is kind of like reverse psychology. The second one is he is going to try to move on and fall out of love with Anna using the cold turkey way. I tend to lean on the second one as the more plausible reason why he is doing this. He said that he finally decided to do this after this reunion and learning that Hinata is doing well on his own. I think he wants to move on and exploring other things rather than just limiting himself to Anna who isn’t showing any signs of falling for him anytime soon. This is reinforced when Sou is already looking for parttime jobs. Aside from money to probably buy more games, I think it will help keep him busy and not think too much of Anna. Except of course, it was just an alibi for Sou not to be at home that day. ^^; I do think that this is really brought about by the incident caused by Nanoka. It was mentioned that Sou did plan to be at Anna’s side always that is why I think he went to the same school as hers. I don’t know if he regretted that but Sou must have also thought hard and long about letting himself be hurt like that again. I have a feeling that Nanoka might really be ‘punished’ for what she did when Sou and Aya really became a couple. =P Also, Sou only mentioned going to school alone and not talking with her in class so that doesn’t mean that he won’t talk to her when they are at home or elsewhere. Basically, it isn’t like he has totally severed his relationship with her since that will be a real sudden departure from how they interacted during the birthday celebration which I think is ‘natural’. It could also be because of how happy Anna looked during the celebration when Hinata was there and doing this could indirectly make Anna somewhat depends on Hinata for advice, etc. It could make them a bit closer.

On the other hand, it can also make Anna more independent from the two guys and probably be more mature since she really does seem to be pampered by the two guys. Of course, it also poses an interesting possibility for Anna. Anna will no longer have Sou as her personal bodyguard to keep other guys away. If other girls would think that Sou is ‘available’ so will guys think that Anna is ‘available’. I thought of this because Anna doesn’t seem to be hanging around with her old friends before so it shows that her circle of friends widen and well, because of circumstances, they move on to other things. Basically, what I’m leading at is this will open up the possibility of the (other) Hinata to court Anna. I find it interesting since it isn’t always that Anna get to interact with other guys except for that ‘first boyfriend’ =P Yes, I admit it, I’m interested in a ‘Hinata vs Hinata’ ^^ On a side note, I wonder if the author is hinting of a possibility that Anna might be a photographer later on. Aside from the mention about them using real cameras from cellphones in their club, Anna asked Nanoka about it on the way home. If she isn’t interested, I don’t think she would be thinking about it. So, would that make Anna a photographer, Hinata an artist and Sou..game software programmer? Hehe, after all, his grades are good =P Oh..while we’re at it, maybe Aya would be a chef and Nanoka would be in something fashion related like designer or dressmaker. I’m also curious of the dynamics of this other childhood friend group as to how it ticks. It does seem that in a group that has two same genders, those two would be closer to each other just like Sou-Hinata and Aya-Nanoka. I’m amused that Nanoka also tend to imagine Hinata as a sleepyhead just like Anna did. It makes me curious and wonder if there more to him than what they think. About the photography, I just have this idea that summer vacation might be coming up soon and I’m hoping Anna would be taking some nice pictures for her memory. Perhaps, this summer vacation would end differently than it was last year’s. ^^ Scans by karen870509 for All★Wink漢化組

Haha, I was a bit disoriented and it doesn’t help that the Chinese scans are missing a couple of pages at the start. I’ll write this briefly since ankemaybe is the one writing about this series. Scans by yuu_Chan since I don’t have time to re-do the Chinese ones. I hope she doesn’t mind ^^;;

Fumino narrates that as a third year student, she is gradually getting closer to Kazuma that she felt happy and ‘at a lost as to what to do’ [<- uncontrollable feelings]. She then slaps her face to wake up into reality that she is indeed still a student. Two pages are missing as to why they are in that trip. From the raws, I can only read that they are in some school cramming trip..of course, to study..ah, since they are graduating? While telling herself to concentrate, Kazuma shouts something to them about studying and I think to Fumino’s irritation, he told her not to escape..not sure if he meant of the field trip before or telling her to concentrate. Fumino calls Kazuma stupid for she has been doing her best to concentrate on her studies in order to make things okay and for them to be together, but it’s easier said than done because she couldn’t concentrate while at home. While she is telling herself to have a change of heart/not to think of lovey-dovey while studying, they notice a couple getting married in that place. Her friend comments that during this time, a lot of couples get married in this place. Seeing a bride, Fumino starts imagining herself and Kazuma exchanging wedding vows but killjoy Kazuma pops her balloon with an imaginary devil’s fork and tells her to pass the exams before thinking of romantic things. Fumino follows the others inside as she angrily thinks what’s with his way of talking. She is puzzled when Kazuma looks somewhat nostalgic as he looks at the side. The PE teacher shouts at the students that if they aren’t in the room within 10 seconds, they will have 3x more schoolwork. This made Fumino and others scramble into the room. Fumino kept on telling herself not to waste time and concentrate on studying. After a lot of studying with different teachers, Kazuma tells them that they can rest for 30 minutes. He laughs and asks if they are all tired already when it is just the first day. Most if not all of the students look like corpses =P

At an al fresco type of place, Fumino is asking things from Kazuma regarding English. While Fumino frantically writes notes on what Kazuma just explained, Kazuma thinks that it doesn’t seem strange for others that they are together. Kazuma’s eyes then wonder to the scenery. Kazuma muses out loud that the mountains there are cool and this is a so-called well-known summer vacation spot but it is more popular than before. Fumino looks at him and asks if he went there before. Before Kazuma can answer, Shoma interrupts them and says that they are together, no matter where. While pushing down angry Fumino’s head, Shoma tells Kazuma that some teacher is calling him so let him handle teaching Fumino. Just as Kazuma stands up to leave, Shoma tells him that place really makes one feel nostalgic. Fumino’s heart beat loudly when she sees Kazuma smiling darkly. She remembers that is how he looked when she asked him about his father before. Fumino realizes that she never got to ask him again about his family. Curious, Fumino asks Shoma what is in that place there [where Kazuma is probably looking], is it the place where they lived. Shoma says no, it is their villa [vacation house]. Fumino is shock to hear this [<- they are rich] but she remembers that their father is some politician-type of guy. Shoma says that as a whole family, they went there once. Really curious, Fumino asks if their relationship as a family then is good. While drinking something, Shoma didn’t answer. Meg appear and asks what they are talking about..about this villa. Fumino tells her that the two brothers came there before. Meg says that they should ask Shoma’s mother about it and she heard before that Shoma chased after some squirrel in the mountains that he fell down [..and probably got sick]. Embarrassed, Shoma shouts for her to quit talking about that. [I don’t quite get this part but it seems that] Shoma says that at that time, afterwards, he knew that Kazuma came but he ignored him [<- Shoma who just fell down] and it is definitely Shoma wasn’t regarded as ‘family’. Fumino is surprised by this. He asks her if Kazuma hasn’t told her about this. Fumino says no, he didn’t tell her anything. Fumino grips her book tight when Shoma comments that it seems that nothing has changed since the time he first met them.

While Kazuma is teaching class, Fumino thinks that they are married for a year already and had grown to love each other more but still, he hasn’t discussed with her regarding the most important thing. Fumino recaps in her mind that Shoma is the son of Kazuma’s stepmother, his own mother has passed away and could it be that he doesn’t understand his parents’ relationship. Fumino couldn’t concentrate. So, after Kazuma said something to Fumino’s friends probably regarding studies, Fumino pulls him into the fire escape/emergency exit-type stairs. Surprised Kazuma asks Fumino what’s up. She tells him to be quiet and there is something that she wants to ask him. Puzzled, Kazuma asks if it is about the studies. Fumino angrily shouts no, and asks him when he is going to tell her about his parents. After looking surprised, Kazuma kisses her on the ear and asks if Shoma said something to her. Fumino tries to stop his advances and shouts that he won’t let him get away from this. Kazuma tells her that he already told her about it and isn’t that over already. Fumino exclaims that he hasn’t told her everything and what if she has to pay his parents a visit. She is surprised when Kazuma pushes her down on the ground and says that it isn’t necessary for he has always considered them as ‘no longer around’. Fumino kicks him in the stomach [I think] and the noise is heard by the PE teacher. Fumino shouts that he is an idiot and is that how a person would say to his parents who brought him up. Kazuma calls out to her. Flustered Fumino apologizes for not being able to calm down but she already can go back studying now so he can relax. Fumino runs off, leaving Kazuma looking serious and thoughtful. The PE teacher then checks on him about the noise. Walking around the place, Fumino thinks that it might be a ‘I don’t want to see you again’ type of family situation. She had heard that there are those types of family around and maybe it is so sad/lonely that Kazuma won’t tell her about it. She thinks that she has always been by his side yet she didn’t notice this. She laments about not bringing her wallet when she is in the shopping/business district. She looks up and sees a beautiful wedding gown on display at a store. Looking teary-eyed, she stares at it and thinks that it is beautiful but she doesn’t have the right to wear it yet..

Suddenly, a woman hits her ice cream on Fumino’s jacket. The woman freaks out and quickly grabs her while shouting in English her apology and for Fumino to come with her. At the washroom while the woman is frantically washing off the ice cream from Fumino’s jacket, Fumino tries to tell her in English to not worry about it. Fumino says in Japanese that it is alright and for the woman to touch cold water isn’t good for her body and her baby [Ya, I had a double-take on that. ^^;] since she is a pregnant woman. Fumino stops talking when the woman looks at her. Fumino thinks she is very beautiful. The woman says that she is a nice kid. Fumino is shock that she knows how to talk in Japanese. The woman says that her husband is Japanese but there are times when she still speaks in English. The woman touches her face and asks if she is alright since she was crying. Fumino tries to say no but the woman suddenly hugs her and says that she will give Fumino some of her happiness. She tells Fumino to cheer up even if she doesn’t know what happened. Blushing Fumino tells her that she feels a lot better. The woman is happy to hear that. Fumino thinks that she wants to do this too, with Kazuma. The woman asks her if she is a high school student and her son also came there for study training. She asks if Fumino is a schoolmate and is she still on training. Fumino looks up the sky then goes into shock since it is already dark. She realizes that free period had already passed. Soon, PE teacher is dragging Fumino in as he shouts that he doesn’t think a person who forgot about time can answer the exam properly. She is told to stay behind after night class. Fumino can only timidly apologize. Kazuma overhears this while talking with another teacher. Later on, Fumino gloomily thinks that Kazuma will get angry at her for this. She is surprised when someone leans on her from behind. Kazuma puts a can of drink on the desk and tells her that it is a ‘consolation’. Fumino is about to turn to face him but Kazuma stops her and says right now, her sincere line of sight can burn him. He bends down to her and apologizes. He is surprised when Fumino suddenly hugs him while sitting on the table. [Once again, I cannot quite understand this part as to whether who is talking but] someone narrates that it is all his/her fault. While hugging him, Fumino says because from then on again, she wasn’t able to see[?] him. [<- I think like not paying attention to him especially his hidden issues.] Narration: “I want to know. I want to forgive[?] him. Definitely help me convey! It’s alright, I’m always by your side..” Kazuma mutters, “Thanks” before pulling her to him which causes the papers to fly.

    Later on, Fumino gives the assignments she had done to the PE teacher. The teacher asks her if it is really hard that her hair and clothes are all messy. Fumino is surprised to hear this. She blushes and thinks that she should change and do to the max regarding the things that she can do. While Kazuma is looking out the window in the classroom, Fumino thinks, “Sensei, wait for me. One day, tell me everything..as I slowly grow old.” [<- Sorry, it’s crappy ^^; The pronouns in this translation seems to be all messed up.] The next day, Fumino notices the woman she met yesterday with the PE teacher. The woman has explained to the teacher the reason why Fumino was late yesterday. Fumino is shock when Meg happily calls out to the woman as Shoma’s mother. As Shoma’s mother and Meg happily greet each other, Fumino realizes that this woman is Kazuma’s stepmother. In the last scene, it seems Ryuu is bored and plans to go with Teppei to where the others are. Haha..so much for summarizing briefly..^^;; Anyway, I’m just surprised that the brothers will have a sibling soon. =P And finally, we are going to know more about Kazuma’s past. Hm..I think this series might be ending soon, too..probably next year. And also, it does seem that Shoma’s mother has Meg’s personality ^^;

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu [Chapter 74]
    Tuesday, November 9, 2010

At a chocolate store, Sakura squeals in delight over the cute looking chocolates that look so delicious that she would want to eat them herself. Sakura tells her sister that this year’s Valentine’s Day is on Saturday so it’s great since she can save on giving out tomo-choco [chocolate for friends]. Noticing that Tsubaki isn’t answering, Sakura calls out her name and to her shock, Tsubaki looks gloomy and listless. Sakura exclaims what’s with the expression. Tsubaki changes the subject by asking Sakura what she plans to do in the future. Sakura is puzzled by that question that she asks her why she is asking that all of a sudden. Tsubaki exclaims that it is okay if she hasn’t decided on it yet. Sakura tells her that she likes fashion so she’ll go work at her favorite brand clothes store. “I’ll go to college at one side while on the other side, I’ll be working. I’ll also be looking for right connections in the profession.” [<- I’m not sure on the last sentence. It’s either that or looking for a proper career.] Tsubaki tensely holds the paper bag she got from the display and thinks that Sakura who is a year younger than her has a plan and has already thought about the future. “In contrast to me..” Tsubaki puts back the paper bag in the display and says that she won’t make homemade chocolate this year. Tsubaki thinks that she will be a third year student soon yet she hasn’t determined yet about her future outlook so this isn’t the time to be enchanted with Valentine’s Day. Tsubaki complains that the packaging is too expensive and it’s a waste of time and effort. “Buying store-made chocolates are not only convenient but also taste good...” Sakura exclaims to her not to be like that for if she is half-hearted over this big event, then it is quite tragic. Sakura reminds her that even if she has been going out with Kyouta for two years already and it cannot be avoided not to think that this holiday is troublesome but she must seriously take this holiday to heart! “Didn’t you always want to be with Kyouta?!” Flustered Tsubaki is touched by what Sakura said. That is short-lived since Sakura’s ulterior motive is exposed when she tells Tsubaki to also conveniently make her share at the same time for this year’s Valentine’s Day.

At the cram school, the teacher has just finished the lesson. Youko, who is sitting beside Tsubaki, stands up and looks at her cellphone. She exclaims that she cannot believe that it dragged for 40 more minutes and it is already pass 10 o’clock at night. She turns to see that Tsubaki has already spaced out while holding her mechanical pencil. Youko waves her hand in front of Tsubaki while calling her name. Tsubaki snaps out of it and exclaims that the class is over. Youko says that she is like that when classes start and lately, she is absent minded. “Are you okay? Oh ya, tonight, my brother is going to drive the car to fetch me! Come along with us! It’s already late and it’s a bit dangerous to go home alone. We’ll drive you home!” Tsubaki thanks Youko for the offer but she tells him that Kyouta will be fetching her after he finished his work so there’s no need to worry. Youko sighs and says that Kyouta is so nice that he waited for Tsubaki for 40 minutes. Outside, Kyouta is furious. He tells Tsubaki that if her class will be late, could she at least send a message to him so that he can find a place to pass the time. Tsubaki timidly apologizes to him. Tsubaki tells him that next time, if such an incident happens again, it is okay for him not to wait for her. Kyouta calls her an idiot for how can he be at ease and just go home when she would be walking home alone at night. Tsubaki blushes over this. Kyouta says, “Let’s go!” Tsubaki says ya. Before they can go, they were interrupted when Youko bends her head in between the two and thanks Kyouta for that time at Kyoto before. Kyouta looks surprised and says, “Ah? Thank you..you’re saying..” Youko introduces herself again to Kyouta and asks him why he never contacted her. “It is rare for me to get some good information regarding space stuff. I wanted to tell you to go to! How should I know how to contact you.” Tsubaki realizes that Kyouta never contacted Youko after she gave him Youko’s contact information.

Youko continues to say that it is good that she met him today. She asks him if he knows about that research meeting to be done by the research team of Todai [Tokyo University] Graduate School’s space and aeronautics class. Kyou tells her that it wasn’t going to be shown to outsiders. Youko tells him that her brother is part of that team so she can have special access to join in. “Do you also want to go, Tsubaki-kun?” Blushing in delight like a kid who got a candy, Kyouta exclaims if it’s for real and he’ll definitely go. “Thank you, Kikuduki!” Blushing Youko smiles over this. While Tsubaki looks depressed as if she is a third wheel, Youko tells Kyouta that she heard that people from JAXA [Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency] would also be coming. Kyouta is delighted to hear this. Youko waves goodbye and says that they’ll meet at Todai’s gate tomorrow at 10 o’clock. The two Tsubaki-s exclaim in shock, “Tomorrow?!” Youko looks a bit surprised and asks them what it is, do they have some other thing to do. Tsubaki thinks that she can only say that tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and they’ve decided to watch a movie. She wonders what to do since Kyouta looks really delighted a while ago but if he is going to be with Youko... While Tsubaki is closing her eyes and pondering on this, Kyouta tells Youko that Tsubaki had an appointment with him first. “Sorry, but I cannot go.” Youko exclaims in shock, “With Hibino?! Is it such an important appointment?!” Tsubaki timidly says that they are going to watch a movie. Youko exclaims that they can do that whenever they want. Kyouta smiles and says that this time, it is Tsubaki who had an appointment with him first and there aren’t a lot of opportunities like that. Tsubaki looks flustered and about to cry. She thinks, “Thank you, Tsubaki-kun! I’m sorry for actually, you really wanted to go!” The next day, Tsubaki wakes up early. She prepares the ingredients and follows the cookbook to make that strawberry [probably chocolate] shortcake. While she is icing and decorating the cake, Sakura has waked up. Soon, Sakura put in her messily decorated cake in the box. Tsubaki happily ties the ribbon neatly on her cake box. They put the finished boxes in their respective paper bags. Sakura’s ribbon is messily done but of course, Tsubaki’s is perfectly done. “It’s finished ~~♡”

Later on, Sakura hastily dresses up and puts on her boots as she complains that she is late for the date. Tsubaki warns her not to be overly frantic else, she might overturn the cake. Sakura asks her if she isn’t going out yet and weren’t she and Kyouta supposed to watch a movie together. Tsubaki just happily smiles and says that Kyouta has something urgent to do but after that thing is finished, she can just give the chocolate to him. Sakura exclaims, “What? That is too much! For a girl, this is a first class important thing!” Tsubaki just counters that by saying that Sakura actually overslept. [<- so it isn’t exactly that important to Sakura.] Sakura then says that she’s going. Remembering Kyouta declining Youko’s offer, Tsubaki thinks, “..but..I’m already very satisfied that he thought like that. At that time, he would prioritize me as first place!” Flashback: Tsubaki happily told surprised Kyouta that they can watch the movie anytime and why don’t he go to that research meeting. “But, after it is finished, contact me, okay? I have something to give you!” End flashback. In her room, Tsubaki is doing her schoolwork as well as answering the questions in a book from her cram school. She remembers Kyouta asking her what she wants to do after she went to college. She thinks that ever since before, she never thought of this question. When she was a child, she would show her mother her perfect score. Her mother is very delighted over it as she exclaimed that Tsubaki will definitely get into college and Tsubaki is her pride. Because her mother looked specially happy, Tsubaki decided to always do her best in studying things even those that she isn’t good at. She had mistakenly made ‘going to college’ as her life’s goal. End flashback. Tsubaki drops her mechanical pencil and feels really ashamed of herself. She notices the bracelet that Kyouta gave her on her wrist. She wonders if a person like her is suitable to stand beside Kyouta. The scene changes to the boxed cake in a paper bag by the window. Tsubaki has fallen asleep. She wakes up when her mother calls out to her and asks if she can help her with dinner. Wondering when she has fallen asleep, Tsubaki shouts back okay. She then thinks, “Di..dinner?” She looks at the clock and it is already 6:08pm. She wonders what’s up for the research meeting is supposed to be over at 5 o’ clock. She writes a message to Kyouta asking if the meeting is going to take a longer time and could he confirm to her the time that they are going to meet.

Tsubaki helps prepare dinner. It is already 7:32 pm. She looks at her cellphone and there’s no message or calls. It is already 9:55 pm. She calls Kyouta on his phone but she is only told by a voice to call again later because her call temporarily cannot reach/get through the other person. Tsubaki’s imagination starts to go wild. She wonders if those two are getting along with each other really well just like during that time before when they were happily chatting about their favorite book. Imagined scenario: Kyouta is holding Youko into his arm. He touches her face and says, “Compared to Tsubaki-chan, it is much fun to chat with you, Youko.” Youko says, “I also want to go steady with you, Kyouta. Break up with Tsubaki-chan.” Kyouta bends to kiss her. End imagined scenario. Tsubaki looks really tense and aghast when her phone rings. She quickly looks at it and sees that it is Kyouta who is calling. She answers it and asks him what happened since it is already 10pm. Kyouta apologizes to her that he didn’t know that there is a ‘fraternity meet’ [or get together/party?] after the research meeting. Then, when he remembered to contact her, his cellphone suddenly went dead. “Just now, I just bought a battery charger at a supermarket.” Tsubaki says is that so and that’s good. Kyouta is surprised by that reaction so Tsubaki explains that she thought that something happened to him. She asks him if he is near her house since she has something to give him even if it is already late. To Tsubaki’s shock, Kyouta timidly tells her that regarding that, can she give it to him tomorrow at school. Tsubaki asks why. Kyouta says that Youko’s brother said that they go watch a meteor shower and right now, they all went to the mountain side. A guy calls out to Kyouta to hurry up since they are leaving. Kyouta shouts back, “Okay! *talking again to Tsubaki* So that’s how it is for now, we’re going. Oh right, what do you want to give me?” Tsubaki holds the bag containing the boxed cake and wonders if Kyouta didn’t notice that today is Valentine’s Day. She really wanted to shout, “It has no meaning if I didn’t give you the chocolate today so come back here right now!!” but, she couldn’t say it. Flustered, Tsubaki forced herself to smile and say, “It’s not something important. Don’t mind it.. ..” She closes her flip phone then faces the window. While her face isn’t shown, Tsubaki says, “Ah.. .. If I knew this would happen earlier then it would have been okay if I just bought a ready-made chocolate..I should go back to my studies..This whole day has been a waste..Oh..*looking at her hands that are covered with icing* ..before that, I should first wash my hands.” She heads out of the room and closes the door. In the last scene, the boxed cake had been royally thrashed by Tsubaki.

And so, it’s finger-pointing time as to who should we blame for what happened. I think everyone has a hand in it. First of all, Youko might just like Kyouta’s company that is why she is doing this but for her to look so lovingly at him and baiting him with something he cannot resist, I think she is a potential boyfriend stealer. She even has the face to complain why Kyouta didn’t call her. Acutally, she’s acting more like a girlfriend than Tsubaki should be. ^^; Geez, she can just pass the message to Tsubaki but no, she has to tell Kyouta about it personally. Luckily for her, Tsubaki is just too timid that she is letting Youko get away with it. Just imagine if Youko tries to do that to Sakura..Youko will be in for it especially since they are in public. I think Sakura can make Youko hide in shame. As for Kyouta, I don’t feel like blaming him much because Kyouta is Kyouta. After all, this is a guy who just forgot that he came with his girlfriend to that university to the point of running off and leaving her just because of being really excited over some lecture. ^^; He is able to resist it at first with an excuse but then, if he is already there, there’s nothing holding him back since he is a space nut. There was no mention on how they celebrated Valentine’s day last year and I feel that the two space nuts are just oblivious over it even if there ought to be a lot of Valentine display all over the place around that time so there is indeed a great chance that Kyouta didn’t know what day it is and Youko is also puzzled over a movie date on that day. ^^; Though, maybe Kyouta suddenly remembers it and tries to make it up to Tsubaki. She’ll forgive him as usual and everything is okay. This is highly possible because Tsubaki has a tendency to blame herself for things that go wrong especially if it is for something that she didn’t do. She even pushed him to go and didn’t ask him to come back for his chocolate because she is acting like an ideal or probably a martyr girlfriend. She tries very hard to be understanding and not act jealous because after all, this is her boyfriend’s ultimate dream and goal. Unfortunately, it seems to go to the point of hurting herself and trying to bottle things up within her. I do wonder if it is good for Tsubaki to have a boyfriend like Kyouta. Yes, there are good times but academic-wise, he does seem to directly/indirectly making her lose her concentration. She mentioned before that it isn’t because of having a boyfriend that she failed to get in her dream high school but then, having a boyfriend like this, it seems that she isn’t exactly ‘being inspired by him’ either and if it keeps up, it might hamper her instead. I remember reading a newspaper article wherein this woman wrote that when the hormones are gone, she wondered what she liked in her husband. I wonder if this will happen with Tsubaki especially since they have nothing much in common except for the ‘Tsubaki’. As for Tsubaki’s problem of what she wants to be in the future, I think that is common among bookish students. They are just good at studying and when it is over, they have a problem since being good in studying isn’t exactly an occupation. Just like being an idealistic girlfriend, she also wants to be an idealistic daughter who wants to make her mother proud and happy of her. I guess she doesn’t know what she likes because she is making any subject that she doesn’t like into something she likes and be good at it. It blurred the distinction for her as to what she really likes and she’s pressuring herself a bit too much. This problem is also eroding her self-confidence that she feels that she isn’t worthy to be at Kyouta’s side. And, here I am contemplating if she is worthy of him. ^^; I feel that Tsubaki might snap sooner or later especially with how she vented her frustration on that cake. I don’t recall her doing such a thing before. I fear that she might rebel in the worse possible time especially since they will be graduating soon. She might not get what she aimed for all these years. Hehe, I’m thinking of that based on some old J-drama I saw before. =P It really does seem that what she did with her mother, she is doing it again with Kyouta wherein she tries to ‘prove’ herself worthy in the eyes of the other. Hopefully, she realizes what she really wants to do soon, learn to be more confident about herself and love herself more. Oh ya, a little honesty in communicating what she really feels and wants won’t hurt either. =P Scans by amyangel19910323 for BW.
