About this blog:
I usually write about the manga that I'm currently reading. At times, I write about the anime I watched. Since it is hard to share and talk my thoughts about a certain manga series when people don't know about it, I tend to summarize them from Chinese scanlations so beware, this blog is filled with spoilers and they are not 100% perfect. I'm partly doing this to improve my Chinese. ^^ Feel free to point out my mistakes. ^^ Occasionally, I would blog about myself and other misc. things.

Chitose, Etc [Chapters 29-30] and Hadashi wa Bara wo Fume [Chapter 47] Teasers

For Chitose, Etc 29-30, Chitose and Yuki is officially a couple and told Tadashi about what happened. At school, Shun seems to be a bit flirty with Chitose during lunch. ^^; When they shook hands to be friends, Shun won’t let go and even tried to kiss her –> last one? ^^;; Chitose covered her mouth with her hands. =P Then, it is informed to the other club members about the switching of partners and soon, everyone in school knew about it. It seems that Yuki is now going to make it a point to not let girls be flirty with him. I think he turned down that girl who used to chase after him during school festival. Then, they are now going to prepare for the Valentine’s day festivities. They are going to make heart shaped chocolate lollipops. Shun and Saaya still have their usual type of relationship of ‘not wanting to give in’ though Shun seemed to have become a real good friend of Chitose. Then, while Chitose is carrying some papers, it blew away. A new cute guy helps her with them. In return, Chitose gives him a chocolate candy. Much later on, Chitose gives Yuki chocolates for V-day. While they are lovey-dovey, the new guy watches them as he eats the candy that Chitose gave him. I think he said that, so that’s Furuya Yukito’s girl. Later that night, Chitose is watching television with his brother. She sees the guy on the television and his brother says that his name is Subaru. So..this series isn’t going to end yet and I wonder what the author plans for this new character..a love rival? I get the impression that Subaru used to be a club member. Anyway, I’m just glad that the new character is a guy ^^
I don’t know what happened in chapter 46 but in Hadashi de Bara wo Fume 47, Soichiroh wakes up from the hospital. It is probably Nozomu’s doing or he just got sick. Well, Sumi is gone. At some grand reception, Nozomu makes an announcement of his..ah would-be wife? Of course, it is Sumi. Everyone is shock. Soichiroh crashes in the party and tries to get Sumi back but Sumi stops herself from going to him and declares that she likes money. Some guys take Soichiroh away and Nozomu is relieved by what Sumi did. Some women are gossiping about Sumi who will marry for money. Outside, Eisuke goes to Soichiroh who got thrown out of the place. Soichiroh believes that Sumi choose money over him. At the house, Komai and the other maids welcome Sumi back. Nozomu brings Sumi to the bedroom. Sumi tries to protest but Nozomu just threatens her. Nozomu showed her a huge heart-shaped jewel ring. To Sumi’s surprise, Nozomu has her ring from Soichiroh. She tries to get it back but Nozomu throws it out the window..to the roses at the garden down below. She starts to cry. Nozomu pushes her down on the bed. He puts his ring on her finger. Lying on the bed beside her, Nozomu seems to want to do you know what, with Sumi for that night. So, if Komai has new plans on helping..he better do it NOW. Hehe, unless of course, there might be other interruptions. =P Scans by yingnam for BW.
PS. As usual, proper summary and comments will be out when the Chinese scanlations are out. For CE 30 and HdBwF47, it might come out on July. ^^;

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun 13 is out in Kingdom of Fantasia and chapter 14 might be out soon. I probably won’t be summarizing the chapters that s/he already did in order to save time and effort. This series is way behind from the latest chapter (chapter 28) so it is nice that it is ‘moving’ in a way to get this series updated as soon as possible. Anyway, I’ll just continue it later on, from whatever chapter s/he would do. In the meantime, I’ll be writing summaries for the other series since some chapters are out.

Fumino is totally speechless for she couldn’t imagine Kazuma being like that. Kazuma tells her that he is like that before. Afterwards, because of that, there is a dispute about making Kazuma into a better desired heir, so they sent him to his father’s trusted aide, Secretary Sasa who’ll take care of him. Flashback: With luggage and a backpack, young Kazuma is greeted by the elder Sasa [papa] with younger Sasa son to their house. So from there, it is like a drop from heaven down to hell. Kazuma asked if this is some mixed goods [/storage] place because it’s too small. Younger Sasa sarcastically apologized to him that they are living at a mixed goods place. Elder Sasa angrily hit the head of his son named Akio for saying that. Sasa [<- will refer to the father from now on] smiled and apologized to Kazuma for his son’s rudeness. He explained that this is the life of an ordinary person and in order for him to inherit in the future, his father’s work, experience is a necessity. “And, your esteemed father had also instructed me to make you live in accordance to my house’s rules. Young Master Kazuma, can you accept this?” Kazuma exclaimed as to who he think he is, and for him, this thing is just a small obstacle. But actually, he felt very uneasy because at that time, the him before, thought that his father is the center of the world and his father’s orders have to be obeyed. And, this is something that he never doubted that. At the dining table, impatient Kazuma hit the table and called out to squinty eyes as to where is his orange juice, and chocolate cake. Irritated Akio told him that they don’t have those things. Sasa hit his son again and happily told Kazuma that they’ll remember to get those. The past Kazuma believed that if he only stayed in that place, he can become just like his father. Sasa put out a lot of food on the table and told his son to help. Akio said, ya, ya that Sasa reprimand him to just say it only once. He told his son that this is Kazuma’s welcome party so their food is really sumptuous today. Kazuma shouted for Sasa to please be quiet. When Kazuma grabbed a piece of fried chicken leg, Akio hits his hand and told him to say, ‘Itadakimasu’. They then show him to put his hands together. Sasa house rule 1: ‘Give thanks before meal’. Kazuma imitated them and the two exclaimed happily that Kazuma did it, he’s amazing. This made Kazuma blush really red. Sasa house rule 2: ‘Always encourage’. For Kazuma, saying ‘itadakumasu’ and other things are something that he didn’t do before, so everything in Sasa’s house is really new to him.
That night, Akio told Kazuma to say ‘good night’. Kazuma said that it is too troublesome then, hits Akio just like what he did a while ago. Akio angrily shouted that it hurt and shouted that Kazuma be brought to his father to be punished. Sasa laughed at them. At night, Sasa asked if the futon [/bed] is thin. Kazuma angrily said that it is. Sasa told him that his house is small so it might be an inconvenience for him to sleep with them. Kazuma angrily complained that it is too small but if it is his father who made him stay there, then he’ll just endure it. Kazuma is surprised that Sasa patted him. He looked at Sasa that Sasa asked him what it is. Kazuma looked flustered and say that it is nothing. Kazuma has not experience that warmth of a mother. Even if he was young, Kazuma has been taught that his father is supreme and it is quite rare for him to see his own father. He did remember is the image of his tall and straight father, surrounded by many bodyguards, as he is about to sit in a black limousine to leave. It is only that, the young Kazuma made his father as his longed for target [/goal]. End flashback. Kazuma looks quite serious that Fumino calls out to him. Kazuma snaps out of it. Fumino says that he looked unwell, so is he okay, is he cold. Kazuma says that he is okay. Fumino apologizes to him and tells him that if he doesn’t want to tell her, he doesn’t need to force himself. “Even if I really want to know sensei’s issue.. but all the more, I do not want to see you upset. As long as the current you feel happy, then I..” To Fumino’s surprise, Kazuma kisses her ear and thanks her. Fumino is freaking out that Kazuma is too close. Kazuma laughs and says that he wants to tell her how he became a ‘normal kid’. Flashback: Someone shouted, “Here it comes!” Kazuma got splashed by water. Sasa house rule 3: Occasionally, they will all meet each other naked. The three are taking a bath. Sasa happily praised Kazuma for being amazing to be able to do this. Kazuma angrily shouted for him to slow down. [<-/be gentle] Akio taunted him if he is scared. Kazuma angrily shouted that he isn’t. Then, Sasa helped towel Kazuma dry as Kazuma shouted for Sasa to slow down. Later on, Kazuma is helping Sasa to remove some sharp things from a bowl of something. [I think they are teaching him how to cook.] Then, Kazuma angrily shouted to Sasa that Akio stole his snack. So, in that small narrow house, Kazuma passed the days noisily – being taken care by the gentle secretary and fighting with the secretary’s arrogant son. Later on, Sasa returned home and said that he is home. Kazuma peeked out and stammered, ‘..Welcome home!’ Sasa smiled at him and said, “I’m home, young master Kazuma!” This made Kazuma happily smile back. And so, his twisted common sense has gradually been corrected.
One day, it is Sasa who came to pick Kazuma up from school. Kazuma is puzzled for it is usually some other person who would do that. Sasa told him that this afternoon, his father will be dropping by the official residence and does Kazuma want to see him. Kazuma is delighted to hear this that he exclaimed that he wants to go and quickly drive him there since the last time he saw his father was on New Year. So, they arrive. Kazuma happily go into the house and exclaimed, “I’m home.” But all that greeted him is silence. After that time, Kazuma started to become aware that the house where he used to live is ‘abnormal’. The housekeeper asked if the boy is young master Kazuma. If they are asking about the master, he had an emergency matter that he went out. Sasa said is that so. Sasa told Kazuma that is too bad so, they should go home. Later on, that night, Akio told his father that he cannot make the dinner tomorrow so could he do it for him. Sasa asked if why, is he going out, with some girl. Then, he noticed someone tugging his shirt. He looked down and saw that it was Kazuma. Sasa called his name that Kazuma suddenly looked really embarrassed. He exclaimed that it is nothing then called Akio an idiot. As Kazuma ran back to the room, Akio shouted me!?, why. Sasa just looked thoughtful. But, thinking that he is the pride of the Ojiro family and his respect for his father, has not changed at all. One day, Sasa saw a flyer that there is a family visit activity in Kazuma’s school. Kazuma told him for forget about it because his father is working. Sasa flipped through a book and told Kazuma that if the work schedule is to be revised, his father might find some time to go to the kindergarten school. It is such a rare opportunity to let Kazuma’s father see Kazuma grown up [/matured]. Sasa asked him what he thought of it. Kazuma liked the idea. On that day, it is raining. Kazuma thought that his father will come and he will be able to see him soon. A boy called out to him and asked if Kazuma’s father will come since he didn’t come before. Kazuma angrily exclaimed that today, he’ll definitely come. Soon, the teacher told the students to come and sit by one’s father and draw a picture. Kazuma waited while clenching his fists tightly. He thought that his father will definitely come. Soon, some people are saying that until the end, Kazuma’s father didn’t come. They say that he is pitiful and isn’t Mister Ojiro, a famous legislator so he’s probably very busy at work. Some boys laugh and told Kazuma that in the end, his father didn’t come and Kazuma is a big liar. Kazuma darkly looked at the boys that they turned ‘stone’ speechless. With clenched fist, Kazuma heads out of the school. He thought that his father is definitely on his way and he’ll definitely come to see him. Walking in the rain, Kazuma thought that he is going to meet his father. Then, he sees a black limousine. Thinking of his father, Kazuma quickly ran towards it. Then, a car is moving towards him.
Suddenly, Kazuma found himself being hugged by Sasa, who had jumped in and saved him. The driver shouted and asked if they are alright. Sasa smiled and said that it is okay, don’t worry and sorry for the trouble. After the car left, Sasa hold Kazuma’s hands and apologized that Kazuma’s father had a temporary emergency matter that he went on an official trip. Sasa asked Kazuma if he is alright. Kazuma didn’t reply. Sasa apologized for being presumptuous then asked if he can see Kazuma’s hands. Sasa is surprised to see that Kazuma had clenched his fist so tightly that his nails had dug in the skin that it created wounds. Narration: “From childhood until I grow up.. I had always been enduring, my own father cannot stay at my side since he is working nonstop for the country.. It’s very large.. so..” Sasa apologized again for being presumptuous. Then, to Kazuma’s surprise, Sasa tenderly hugged him within his coat and said, “Being all alone, you were definitely lonely, right? I’m sorry, I came late.” Kazuma thought, “‘Lonely’ ‘Lonely’ ‘Lonely’ why... *starts to cry* I obviously haven’t learned this kind of feeling, from experience!” End flashback. Kazuma tells Fumino that Sasa made him experience a feeling which is deemed as unnecessary for someone from the Ojiro family. “Then, as a result, I also had resented Sasa but--” He stops when he notices that Fumino is already teary eyed. Fumino quickly hugs him tightly. Kazuma closes his eyes and thinks, “Despite it all, if I haven’t experienced the feeling of loneliness, I definitely would not have felt this kind of warmth.” Just then, Akio looked down below to them and calls out if Kazuma is there for he heard voices. Surprised, Fumino exclaims that they are there and please save them. Kazuma thinks, “Sasa..” In the letter, it is written, “Young master Ojiro Kazuma, my father Kazuo, has been hospitalized because of an illness. –can you please come and meet up with my father.” Narration: “I cannot go see him.” Akio tells Fumino that he is going to call for help so bear with it for a while. Fumino shouts out that it is okay. Just when she is happily telling Kazuma that it’s great that.., Fumino notices that Kazuma has fallen unconscious. As Fumino calls out to him, Kazuma seems to remember a past memory regarding Kazuo, then he thinks, “Cannot go see..” Meanwhile, the other search party, Ryuu screams in fright over an unconscious bear by the tree. Shoma comments that it is very stupid to have fallen down from the tree.
That is so sad and it does explain a lot of things like why Kazuma is fiercely protective of his new family that he copied Sasa/Kazuo wherein he’ll throw himself to any danger to protect them. He also makes sure to be there for any school activity that Teppei is in. It does seem odd that someone as rich and powerful as Kazuma’s family would just send a future heir to the house of an aide. It really does seem that Kazuma isn’t loved/treasure enough that I begin to wonder if Kazuma is like a son of someone whom his father didn’t loved or didn’t really marry. It also does seem that Kazuo is giving Kazuma some false hopes about meeting his father but Kazuo probably meant well. Is it better to try than nothing at all? It is indeed hard to do it when Kazuma’s father doesn’t make an effort at all. It’s like he totally doesn’t care about him. So, I think this can also explain why Kazuma became a delinquent. Being obedient and everything, he hopes that his father will see him and be proud of him but obviously, it didn’t worked. He tries it in reverse by being a delinquent so that his father would finally pay attention to him. It obviously backfired that he got disowned especially since they have a backup heir. It is indeed such a lonely life since childhood except for the time when he is with the Sasa family. Luckily, Kazuma met other ‘father figures’ to keep in the right path. Kazuo instilled in him what a family should be and Maeda, the teacher gave him a goal in life. Of course, Fumino and Teppei complete all that he ever needs. He finally got the things that he wanted which money cannot buy. It does seem like a deja vu wherein Kazuma stubbornly doesn’t want to see the person whom he owed a lot. Would there be a third time and this time, Kazuma’s father? ^^;; It is probably of shame or embarrassment about being a delinquent but then, he is in character for being really stubborn. This is after all, a guy who would stubbornly do not want to kiss Fumino on the lips until she graduates. ^^; By the way, it’s amusing how Akio looked very similar like his father. =P Scans by 17kkmh.com

Chiduru blushes and tensely wonders how she is going to answer that. To her dismay, Haru continues to tell her that it is because he always felt that the more he told Shizuku he likes her, the more the situation becomes messy. Chiduru gloomily asks if that is so, he has confessed so many times to Shizuku. Yamaken mutters to Shizuku so that’s what’s going on. To Shizuku and Yamaken’s surprise, blushing Chiduru asks Haru, “Ab..about that, Yoshida-kun, if I were to say I like you, what would you do?” Haru laughs and pats her on the back. He asks her how she can say such things without reason and he doesn’t hate her. Chiduru sweatdrops and thanks him. She tells him that isn’t what she meant but what he thinks of a female chasing after a guy. Haru is shock by that and says that he would want that. While Chiduru continues to try to explain things to Haru, Shizuku wants to secretly leave them already since it isn’t good to eavesdrop. Yamaken tells her to wait for things are going to be good. He had shouted a bit loudly at Shizuku to wait that Haru and Chiduru overheard them. They are shock to see the other couple. Yamaken has put his arm around Shizuku to stop her from leaving. He smiles and greets Haru. After recovering from his shock, Haru’s face darkens. He angrily asks why the two of them are there. Then, the door opens. Haru and Yamaken freaks out for it is Yuuzan. Outside the school building, Micchan is holding Nagoya when he notices a gothic girl lying face down on a bench while holding a fruit drink. Micchan calls out to the strange girl and asks if it is pretty girl Natsume. [Ah, in the Chinese scans, the ‘pretty girl’ is Micchan’s usual way of calling her.] He then carries her up and tells her to sit properly because her underwear can be seen. He tells her that it is good that he saw her and he wants her to help him return this chicken to Haru. To his shock, Asako suddenly starts bawling. Later on, Micchan says is that so, Asako said a bit very penetrating opinion that made Shizuku shut her out. Asako thinks that it is only because Shizuku said that Haru is with her only because he doesn’t want to be lonely. At that time, Asako thought what Shizuku said referred to her [Asako] own issue, as if someone had just seen through her heart. Crying Asako tells Micchan that she wasn’t careful and rebuked Shizuku which was wrong since it is the first time Shizuku talk with her about that and yet she.. was so humiliated and angry when Shizuku told her that ‘it has nothing to do with you’ so Asako shouted, “You.. Do you think of yourself as some pure angel smart nurse?!”
Asako tearfully says how she could say such words. Micchan tells her that she only said that in her fit of anger and she isn’t really angry at Shizuku. Asako tells him that if ever girls quarrel once, it is like a declaration of ‘breakdown of their relationship’ and Shizuku already gave her that ‘declaration’. She sobs about what if Shizuku hates her. Micchan pats her head and tells her that their friendship hasn’t break down. She only has to unrestrictedly open their heart and talk with each other, and it will be okay. The main thing is to she still wants to continue on being friends with Shizuku so there’s nothing to be afraid of. Asako looks thoughtful over that. Sparkling, she tells Micchan that Shizuku is her first friend and she doesn’t want to lose her. Micchan laughs and says that’s the will, and that’s good. Asako tells him that she doesn’t want to take the initiative to apologize since Shizuko is truly cruel. Micchan sweatdrops and comments that he didn’t think that she’ll be this stubborn but then, it doesn’t matter if she apologizes or not. Just then, Sasayan passes by and exclaims that it turns out that Asako is there and what is she doing.. He stops when he sees that Asako is together with Micchan. Micchan calls out to the baseball kid and tells him that it’s good that he is there so that later on, he’ll let them youngsters handle things [regarding Haru?]. Sasayan comments that Micchan came and is he alone. Micchan says no, he is with Yuuzan and he ought to go now since he has work. While Sasayan asks Asako why she is crying and Asako says that it is a long story, Micchan thinks that Yuuzan left while carrying Haru’s shoes so he hope that it won’t cause any trouble. Back to the classroom, a lot of people are looking inside. Yuuzan tells Haru to look, they now have an audience and does Haru plan on causing trouble again. He urges Haru to give up and release the hostage. It turns out that Haru is holding Chiduru hostage by tightly holding her to him. While Chiduru wonders why things turn out that way, Haru shouts for him to shut up and don’t come close. If he comes close by one step, he is going to break the girl’s arm. Yuuzan shouts for him not to do that else his parents will be sad. Haru continues to shout for Yuuzan not to come any closer, isn’t he listening, doesn’t he care whether this girl will live or die. Shizuku and Yamaken sweatdrop over the turn of events. Chiduru is already in pain as Haru continues to shout that he’s serious. Shizuku quietly stands up that Yamaken tells her to not meddle. He advises her that it is better for her not to get involved with those two brothers. Shizuku tells him, but she is very bothered.
Shizuku goes to Yuuzan and tells him not to instigate Haru. Yuuzan says that she’s also here but don’t worry. Yuuzan calls out to Haru if he really doesn’t care if that girl lives or die. This surprises Haru that he notices that Chiduru is in pain. Chiduru tells him that it really hurts. This made Haru let her go and quickly run out the window while cursing. Yuuzan goes to Chiduru who is on the floor and asks if she is alright. He says that his little brother caused him trouble. Chiduru is shock to learn that Yuuzan is Haru’s elder brother. Yuuzan looks at Shizuku and says that it is really good that she is there for there is something that he wants to see her about. Shizuku says, ya. Then, Yamaken got in between them. Yamaken apologizes to Yuuzan and says that right now, he got Shizuku to accompany him in showing him the way. Yuuzan looks thoughtful then exclaims if he is Yamaguchi-san’s Kenji, and he’s all grown up. Yamaken looks nervous and angry. Yuuzan smiles and says that since it is like that, then forget it. He gives an envelope to Shizuku as well as Haru’s shoes which Haru dropped. He asks her to help him return the shoes to Haru. Yuuzan helps Chiduru up and tells her that he’ll walk her back. He bids Shizuku goodbye and left. Shizuku asks nervous Yamaken if he needs her to accompany him in showing him the way, and his complexion looks really pale. Yamaken just mutters to himself that even if he doesn’t want to be involved, he got irritated by how Yuuzan called him. Just then, Yamaken’s three friends call out to him that they found him. They want to ask him why people are gathered around there and why is he doing together with that bookworm. Yamaken says that it is nothing and he bids Shizuku goodbye. He climbs up the window to join his friends. His friends are suspicious over his answer. After saying goodbye, Shizuku sighs and thinks that the next she’ll do is.. Outside, Yuuzan calls out to Micchan and tells him that he’s going ahead. Micchan asks if he isn’t going to the haunted house. To Micchan’s irritation, Yuuzan tells him that at his age, he is still saying that kind of stuff. Asako and Sasayan greet Yuuzan. At some forest area, Shizuku drops the shoes on Haru who is lying on the grass. She tells him that since he’ll be depressed, then next time, before acting, he should think clearly first. Haru asks if Chiduru is okay. Shizuku tells him that she doesn’t know and if he is worried, he should go see her himself. Haru says that he messed up again and made a mistake again. Shizuku says that is right so it is better for him to reflect on this. “You idiot.” Haru tearfully couldn’t answer.
Remembering that she hurt those two, what Yamaken said and about Asako, Shizuku says that she is also an idiot for always making a mistake. Haru looks up to her and asks if this isn’t 2 meters from him because he can see her underwear. After being surprised by that, Shizuku looks at the side and apologizes to him. She is cancelling that limitation before since she has discovered that putting up rules is meaningless. Haru laughs and says that she realized it and she has grown up. Shizuku asks what of it and can’t she. Haru happily smiles at her who looks a bit tense. Haru sits up then thinks of something. He tells her that he’ll go apologize to Chiduru first. Walking at the opposite direction, Shizuku says, ya. Shizuku thinks that perhaps, it isn’t quite hard to correct a mistake after discovering one’s mistake. To Asako’s shock, Shizuku apologizes to her. This made Asako wonder what happened to her, did she eat something. Shizuku says that Asako gave her opinion in good intention yet she acted in that manner without even a little bit of sincerity. “So, I want to tell you that I’m sorry.” Asako is about to cry as she tells Shizuku that she is Shizuku’s friend, not someone insignificant.. A bit flustered, Shizuku says, ya, she is right. Asako starts to cry over this then she is surprised when Shizuku tells her that even if she said that, she still feels that Asako is a bit of a busybody. Then, Haru joins them and Haru is smiling. The three went back to reality when Sasayan, together with Shitayanagi, shouts that he finally found them and they should go back to work. Soon, a lot more people got scared at the haunted house, the trio watch some baseball club activity of Sasayan, Chiduru serving drinks to her friend and, Yamaken + trio are enjoying themselves at a bunny girl cafe. Soon, it is night. There is a huge bonfire but some people are looking scared over the noise. An announcement says that they should not throw in firecrackers in the bonfire, repeat, even if you do not have a dance partner, do not throw firecrackers in the bonfire.
At the outdoor sink, Shizuku washes her face to remove the make-up. She then remembers the envelope that Yuuzan gave her. Taking it from her bag, she opens it and sees a picture of everyone laughing including young Yuuzan over a wet futon which Haru peed on. Shizuku is totally puzzled over it and thinks that she really doesn’t understand what Yuuzan is thinking. She looks over at the side of the building to see Haru sound asleep by the wall. Shizuku blushes, then tries to touch him but Haru suddenly wakes up and holds her hand. Haru asks what it is, and it is Shizuku. Shizuku shouts for him not to startle her. Haru exclaims that is what he should be saying. Haru looks at her and asks what she is planning to do. Blushing Shizuku looks away and says that she wanted to touch his hair. Haru asks, “Huh? My hair?” Still looking away, blushing Shizuku didn’t answer. Haru suddenly pulls Shizuku to him and asks her what she is thinking for he really doesn’t understand. Haru angrily tells her that even if her mouth is saying that there’s no problem but something is definitely up and he never thought that she would tell him not to get close to her. He asks her what she wanted him to do for he cannot go to her nor back away from her. Shizuku tries to protest over how Haru is interrogating her when she looks at serious looking Haru. Shizuku realizes that Haru has always been serious and the one who unceasingly keep on running away from the problem is her. Shizuku tells him that her hand hurts. After he lets go, Shizuku tells him that the way he forces her, she cannot help but think over some things. “Why do I feel this way? Was I wrong about my choice? *flustered* ..if I’m mistaken.. then can I or can’t I, also like you, like you until.. I cannot concentrate on my studies? Kind of stuff.. *Haru blushes really red* But, in the end, it is from studying that I can obtain my heart [and thoughts]’s tranquility.” Haru sweatdrops and exclaims that she startled him for it turns out that fundamentally, his rival has always been ‘studying’. Shizuku continues to say that she doesn’t want that. “I do not want.. to have that kind of feeling again! I do not want my school work to become bad. *tense* If I cannot study, then I..”
Haru looks at her then to Shizuku’s surprise, Haru hugs her tightly. Shizuku nervously asks him what he is doing. Haru nervously answers back that he doesn’t know either, he doesn’t know. The two blush. Shizuku wonder what’s with her heart beating so fast and it feels so hot, and it seems that this had happened before. She then remembers the blue sky, students laughing and she wakes up from sleeping on Haru’s lap. Haru looked at her and smiled. End flashback. Shizuku thinks that she also had that feeling before at that time. The body beside her is truly warm that it made her feel comfortable. There’s that little bit of dull sadness kind of peace of mind. “The me on that day.. *young Shizuku alone with her books* cannot comprehend that thing--” Shizuku calls out to Haru then breaks from the embrace. She asks if he can give her some time and she’ll properly think over it, about this thing between him. Haru looks at her in surprise. Elsewhere, Asako happily tells Sasayan that Shizuku had left a message on her [Asako’s] blog and she also apologized. Sasayan says that is great. Sipping from her drink, Asako says that Micchan is right about the main thing is one still wants to continue being friends. She happily comments that Micchan is so reliable. Sasayan says that it is because he is an adult. He looks at her and asks if she has fallen for Micchan. Asako laughs and says that it is impossible for she cannot fall in love with guys. Sasayan asks her then, what if a guy tells her that he likes her, what will she do? Asako seriously look at him then looks away. She tells him that she’ll reject him. Asako says that she’ll go buy some drink. After she left, Sasayan says that is what the person herself said. Sasayan laughs and tells Shitayanagi, who were sitting at the other side of the window with the others, to give up already. Among the crowd, Chiduru thinks that he isn’t around. She wonders why she started to cannot bear not to look for Haru and anyway, she has work and fundamentally, she has no way of inviting him for the dance. She gloomily thinks that she hasn’t matured. Then, Mabo calls out to Yamaken as to what he is doing, they are leaving and if he isn’t careful, he’ll get lost again. Yamaken is quietly looking around the people as if looking for someone. Then, he seems to give up and says, ya. Meanwhile, Shizuku and Haru look at each other. Haru breaks into a smile [as an answer to her request?]. Narration: “Face to face! Whether it’s me, myself or Haru.. everything starts from that time.”
Such a nice way to end a school festival. It seems that they all grew up a bit in a way after the quarrel and made-up + conversations. The hostage crisis is kind of funny and that is really quite unexpected. It seems that Yamaken is also falling for Shizuku. Well, there seems to be some sort of love triangle at the other side between Asako, Sasayan and Micchan. It also turns out that Asako has issue about guys. In a way, it seems that most characters are shown being in an awkward stage of falling in love and having friends. I guess Haru will have to be more patience since Shizuku really fears of the possibility of ‘not doing good in school’ because of love. It cannot be helped because it has been the most important thing in her whole life until now. Lastly, it’s pretty amusing that the two guys have an unnatural fear of Yuuzan who seems to be a sadist type of brother. ^^; Scans by kiri for BW.

[Free talk: Ah, for those who are waiting for the La Corda d’ Oro side story, I won’t be writing a summary of it because I find it boring. If you want to see the scans, it is in baidu. It is basically walking around the place and helping some kids who got lost to reunite. I was hoping for something romantic ^^; Anyway, the author will have a new series in Lala’s 10 issue, that is out on August 24th.]
Title: Welcome! Shouyou* Festival (part 1 of 2) [*name of their school] It is finally the day of the school festival. Yamaken and the trio have arrived..well, the trio tries to flirt with the committee girl who is in charge of registration. While everyone is busy advertising their stores and guests coming in, werewolf Sasayan comes out of their haunted house and exclaims that everything is going smoothly and Haru’s ‘Blood Baron’ has the loudest scream. Gothic girl Asako is delighted to hear that for she had taught Haru the whole night on how to do his act. Sasayan whispers to nurse Shizuku to be a bit more enthusiastic about this because if their haunted house will be success or not, it is related to the money they will earn. Shizuku says that speaking of enthusiasm, she saw them make a donation box a few days ago but now, she didn’t see it. Sasayan says that it is because they do not want to part with her. Looking at their signboards, Asako says that it seems that those aren’t quite appropriate since they aren’t some erotic place. [The signboards they use are usually for love motels.] It had made Saeko-sensei totally quiet after seeing it then she left, thinking that she will be scolded over it. Sasayan laughs and says that they made it that way so that it will attract attention and they’ll win against the others. While Shizuku is quietly standing by the window, the window suddenly opens. From the window, Haru exclaims that his blood is almost used up. As Shizuku looks at him in surprise, Haru has already opened his shirt and kept shouting for her to hurry. While Shizuku hurries to get some blood, Asako tells Haru that she heard that his Baron is a hit. With a sparkle in his eye, Haru says yes, and it is the first time that he is very popular so maybe he is reincarnated in this world for this. Holding a bag of blood, Shizuku tells him not to move for she is now going to pour it on him. As Shizuku is about to pour it, Haru praises her that her living corpse outfit suits her as well as her mismatch eyes. Shizuku blushes over this that she had been poking Haru with the needle so Shizuku apologizes. Sasayan and Asako are watching them. Later on, Sasayan asks Asako if she just saw Shizuku’s expression and no matter how one looks at it, there is love between them. Asako is delighted over this. Sasayan says that the key person in this is still Haru though they aren’t qualified to butt in. Asako is quite excited over it though she would feel lonely if the two of them [S&H] really become a couple.
While Sasayan thoughtfully looks at Asako, Yamaken’s trio friends suddenly hugs Asako and exclaims that they found her. Freaking out Asako shouts for them to let her go but they keep on saying that they won’t and it’s enough that they have her. Sasayan asks them where the other one is. The trio tells him if he meant Yamaken, then, do not to mention that traitor who left them and went away with some girl. They then ask the trio to go in their haunted house and there are no visitors right now. Mabo tries to get Asako to go in with them but Asako refuses by saying that she only puke when she goes in dark places. While Tomio is asking if it would be less fun if the three of them went together, Sasayan calls out to Shizuku that they have three guests. Shizuku comes out with a huge syringe and asks them if they want to be injected. Shizuku quietly ushers the noisy trio who kept on asking all sorts of things as to why the floor is uneven and what about ‘want to be injected’. At some curtained place, Shizuku starts to tell them about the place where a Blood Baron who comes out from there. The trio is then asking why there is a nurse in that place, it doesn’t suit the theme. Shizuku lets them go on ahead as she laughs and tells them to be strong. Walking ahead, the trio sees a small metal basin with hand at the back. There is a note that it is a love spring. The trio comments that it seems to be made haphazardly. Then, someone holds up a box with a sign ‘Touch breasts’ in this direction, 500 yen per person. Tomio puts in some money and says that it seems that this place is ripping people off. Then, they hear some noise. The baron appears while pulling the hair of his victim. Haru looks surprised as the trio screams then calls out Haru’s name. They greet each other and the trio invites Haru to go out and have some fun. Haru declines by saying that he is currently working. Shitayanagai, the victim guy, pulled by Haru, says that he can go for he hasn’t rested yet. The trio is happy to hear that and tells Haru to introduce them to some girls/‘chicks’. When they mentioned girls, Haru thought of something. Shizuku is sitting by the window and remembers the time when she exclaimed at Haru that she is going home. She thinks that lately, she cannot control her emotions and when she thought about it, this thing of losing her reason hasn’t happened before and it is probably because Haru told that to her – that he will change that answer. She wonders when it started that she unexpectedly become indecisive. Before, when she decided on something, she won’t hesitate and that is because her decision is always right until the end. There is scene of young Shizuku walking alone to study while the others have fun. She closes her eyes and thinks that if she has been unsociable until now, then, she wouldn’t be having this kind of thinking.
There is a scene of Yuuzan happily eating a cotton candy, together with Micchan, walking in the school for the festival. Yuuzan says that it has been a long time since he has eaten a cotton candy and school festivals are amazing. Micchan looks somewhat tense. Back to Shizuku, she is surprised to see Yamaken suddenly coming out of the bushes. Shizuku greets him and asks him what he is doing. Yamaken says that he’s going back so bye. Shizuku continues to read her book when suddenly, Yamaken re-appeared from the bushes. The two look surprised at each other. Yamaken comments that school’s backyard is quite huge that he has been walking around for an hour. Shizuku thinks that he is lost. =P She tells him to just ask someone then he’ll be fine. Yamaken stubborn tells her that he dislike asking people. Shizuku didn’t bother herself with him and just continues reading her book. Then, Asako appears and tells them to help her find Haru and those other three because they left and haven’t come back yet. She is surprised to see the two together that she asks what they are doing. The two simultaneously say that it is nothing. As they prepare to leave and look for Haru where Ooshima is, Shizuku asks Yamaken if he wants to come along since he used to be a good friend of Haru. The trio is shock for Haru introduced them to his chicken, Nagoya. Haru apologizes and says that there are no girls in the classroom and he is worried about this place. Around this time, Yuu-chan comes to visit Chiduru. Back to Haru, the trio asks him what’s with the barricade around the coop. Haru happily explains that it is to obstruct people and it is called ‘Mizutani..” Standing behind Haru, Shizuku darkly tells him not to use a person’s name in naming things. Haru turns around to see Shizuku, together with Yamaken, telling him that Sasayan is looking for him. Haru angrily shouts why Yamaken is there. Shizuku says that he is lost at the backyard. Yamaken denies it. Asako is hiding behind some bushes to avoid the trio. Haru corners Shizuku and asks why they [S&Y] are together. Shizuku says that it is a coincidence. While the trio is laughing about Yamaken being lost, Yamaken looks at the two then quickly puts his arms around Shizuku. Yamaken tells Haru not to forcibly ask a girl like that. Haru accuses Shizuku of forbidding him to touch her yet she doesn’t protest when Yamaken does that. Shizuku tries to explain but Yamaken taunts Haru by saying that he is better than Haru and Haru won’t do at all. This made Haru angry that he shouts for him to let go of Shizuku. Haru tries to punch Yamaken who evades it. Just when Yamaken is telling Haru that he is the same like before who cannot control his temper, Haru accidentally punches Shizuku. ^^; Everyone is shock as they exclaim that Haru hit Shizuku. Haru tries to apologize. Asako, who saw everything, mentally tells Haru to quickly and properly apologize. Just when Haru is shouting at Yamaken, Shizuku calls Haru and tells him that from today on, he is not go come within two meters in radius around her. The guys are shock by that icy cold censure.
While Shizuku is walking away and holding her nose, Asako runs after her and asks her if she is still angry at Haru, and she thinks that Haru doesn’t have any bad intention about it. With a bleeding nose, Shizuku tells her that she isn’t angry but she only felt foolish to be turned round and round by Haru. While covering her nose, Shizuku says that Haru is like a child who doesn’t know anything. Not only is he arrogant, he only thinks of himself. Asako looks flustered and wonders how can she say it, that Shizuku is also that kind of person. To Asako’s surprise, Shizuku wonders why she cannot just abandon that guy. Then, Shizuku wonders if this is love <- answering her own question. Asako happily exclaims that if that kind of relationship between two people, wherein it cannot be severed and a bit crazy, it is ‘the best of only one’. Shizuku tells her that it is only because Haru doesn’t want to be alone and for him, she only just so happened to appear at his side. Asako’s smile freezes, She asks if Shizuku doesn’t believe in Haru’s feelings for her. She tells Shizuku that everyone doesn’t want to be alone and there will be a special feelings towards someone who is closest to oneself, this is inevitable. She asks Shizuku if she doesn’t have that kind of feeling towards Haru. Shizuku looks thoughtful and says she has. Just when Asako is delighted to hear that, Shizuku coldly tells her that this has nothing to do with Asako. The trio has seen that and says that bookworm is really cold and Asako would probably cry over it. They blame Yamaken for it and wonder how to comfort Asako. Yamaken looks thoughtful. While Shizuku washes her nose by the sink, she wonders why things turn out that way. Then, Yamaken arrives with some kakigori [shaved ice dessert] that he was eating, and says that it is for her since he is also angry that it is in relation to him that she got a bleeding nose. Shizuku says that actually it is his fault. Yamaken tells her that it isn’t, since Haru is the one who hit her. Yamaken exclaims that it will be pitiful if she hates Haru and Haru will be all alone again. She is also quite cruel for asking too much from Haru. Shizuku says that she isn’t asking anything from him. Yamaken looks thoughtful and asks if she wants him to tell her what she cannot abandon Haru. Shizuku asks if he overheard it. Yamaken says that it is because in her heart, there is an anticipation and the other person’s words and actions mix with her own desire [/wish] so she cannot just abandon Haru without a care. On her own initiative, she had an expectation towards Haru but he is also a letdown to her expectation so she is really cruel. But if it is him [Yamaken], he won’t ask anything from the other person because he already has everything. Shizuku tells him that he obviously from the start has been extorting Haru. While Yamaken says that it is an exchange among friends, Shizuku looks thoughtful and remembers telling Haru not to come close to her and telling Asako that it is has nothing to do with her. Shizuku wonders if she hurt those two.
Yamaken teases her if she is starting to feel lonely by herself now. Shizuku apologizes and says that since before until now, she has always been alone and she doesn’t feel lonely. Yamaken calls her an idiot for loneliness can only be felt if there is another person. Shizuku says is that so. To Yamaken’s surprise, Shizuku compliments him for being amazing. Yamaken looks at Shizuku then notices that she is looking at some other direction. She turns out to looking at Yuuzan who is eating a crepe. Shizuku is about to call Yuuzan when really tense Yamaken immediately covers her mouth. Yuuzan turns around and sees a sign of ‘Leap and frisk about’ from 1-B. He asks Micchan what kind of store is that. Micchan says that he doesn’t know and they should go. In an empty classroom, Shizuku’s head hurt since Yamaken suddenly pushed her down on the floor. She asks what happened. Yamaken asks if that is Haru’s brother. He curses and asks why Haru’s brother is in this place. Shizuku asks Yamaken if he is scared of Yuuzan. Yamaken scolds her for being stupid for how can he be scared of anything in this world. Sweating profusely, Yamaken says that he just had a little bit of trauma in his heart. Shizuku thinks that he is obviously scared of Yuuzan. Shizuku comments that one day, Yamaken will be ruined by his pride one day. Yamaken snaps at her not to care. Shizuku sits up and tells him to move. Yamaken backs away and tells her that he wants to make something clear and that is, he totally doesn’t have any desire for her. Shizuku asks him what he is saying. She then asks him how he knew Yuuzan. To Shizuku’s shock, it turns out that the Yoshida brothers use to go to Kaimei High like him. From the start of kindergarten, he and Haru are always in the same class. So ever since before, he would always bully Haru. Scene 1: Yamaken threw a rock/crumple paper at Haru. But, Yuuzan would always appear to protect Haru. Scene 2: Yuuzan pinched Yamaken’s cheek hard. Huddling at the side, shaking Yamaken gloomily says that just mentioning Yuuzan’s revenge methods before, he’ll.. Shizuku sweatdrops and wonders what Yuuzan did to Yamaken. Shizuku says but the brothers’ relationship is quite tense. Yamaken says that he doesn’t know about the situation right now but before, their feelings for each other are quite good. Suddenly, the door slams open. Yamaken pushes Shizuku’s head down for her to hide. He says that it could be that guy. Then, they hear someone saying, ‘wait, what are you doing’. Yamaken says that it turns out to be a girl. Shizuku thinks that the voice sounds familiar. Then, the girl shouts, “Yo..Yoshida-kun! Wha..wha wha what are you doing?” Shizuku and Yamaken look surprise for barefooted Haru is pinning blushing Chiduru on the wall. Upon seeing that scene, Shizuku thinks, “Why.. is it only right now that I’ve noticed it? Ah..right! That chicken Nagoya-chan’s barricade.. is indeed me..” At 1-B, a couple of girls are excited to see Blood and they brought their camera. Sasayan finds it strange as to why half of the people don’t come back. Shitayanagi exclaims that their signboard’s star isn’t around.
And so, Yamaken starts to cause trouble and what Shizuku said is right, the guy really had such a high pride, it might cause him trouble later on. He keeps lying when it is already obvious. =P Hehe, it seems that he is a love rival who causes indirect humor to this series. Aside from that, it seems that just like Chiduru who is ‘advising’ Haru, Yamaken will be giving some ‘advice’ to Shizuku. I think that just like Haru, Shizuku has a somewhat difficult time with people. It cannot be helped since they have been alone most of their lives until now. They are different yet the same in a way, just like how Asako thinks. She uses words, and he uses his fists which alienates them from others. I do wonder why the brothers’ relationship turned out this way. Lastly, I think Sasayan and gang will be good businessmen later on, in life. =P Scans by kiri for BW

Introduction: I first notice this series when I saw a really nice popularity poll colored spread which I posted below. It's the one in the middle. I thought that this seems nice..something for blog pic. ^^; But then, there are just way too much cleaning needed so forget it. Then, suddenly, a Chinese fan scanlation is doing this on a monthly basis so I finally checked it out. The story is about a ‘cold-hearted’ girl, tsundere-type, Mizutani Shizuku who is only concerned about grades for her goal to ten million per year but her beautiful plan is thrown wayward when she meets with Yoshida Haru. It was only supposed to be an errand for the teacher, to give Haru his notes after his suspension is over, in exchange for some reference books. Then, it started from there, Haru starts to go back to school with Shizuku as his main reason for doing so. At first, Shizuku thinks of Haru as a pain for being too attached to her but then, she soon finds herself attracted to him in a way and well, it turns out that Haru is a genius = little studying can get him to become number 1 in exams. Just like Shizuku who has a hard time dealing with people, Haru also has that problem. He tends to solve his human relationship problems with his fists and if it is something he cannot deal with his fists, he runs away. Then, we need our female friend and that is Natsume Asako who at first is just someone whom they helped out with her grades but soon, she became part of the group. Then, there is a male friend, Sasahara Souhei aka Sasayan who is a schoolmate of Haru during junior high and he wants things to turn out well for Haru. Of course, we have to toss in some love rivals to get things moving for our couple. Female love rival is Ooshima Chiduru, a timid school officer whom Haru saved before from some bullies. Male love rival is Yamaguchi Kenji aka Yamaken, whom Haru used to hang out, had a fall out and become friends again in a way. He usually hangs out with three other guys, Tomio, Mabo and Joji. The side cast are Micchan -> Haru’s cousin and guardian, Yuuzan -> Haru’s elder brother and Nagoya -> the pet chicken. There are others but I’ll just mention it later on within the summary.
This is a slice of life type of series so it is more character driven than plot driven. The characters are very likeable. The art is good and some scenes are pretty good..ya, the romantic ones. Of course, there are some humor tossed on the side and some ‘problems’ which makes this a pretty well round series. About the popularity poll picture above, I’ll translate what they say. Number one favorite female character Mizutani Shizuku: “Number one.. this is such a splendid phrase, really nice to the ears..” Number one favorite female ‘I want to become your friend’ character Natsume Asako: “Fri..friends ♥, please make me become a true intimate friend!!” Number two most favorite male character Yamaken: “Darn.. why am I placed behind Haru..” Number one most favorite male character Yoshida Haru: “That is inevitable.” Number one favorite male ‘I want to become your friend’ character Sasayan: “Ha? I’m quite amazing, aren’t I?” Overall poll results: 1. Shizuku with 15,206 votes, 2. Asako with 14,563 votes, 3. Sasayan with 11,540 votes, 4. Haru with 11,341 votes. 5. Yamaken with 7,582 votes. 6. Ooshima Chiduru with 4,542 votes. 7. Miyama Yuu with 4405 votes. She is Chiduru’s friend. 8. Micchan with 2,660 votes. 9. Yoshida Yuuzan with 1,921 votes. 10. Shitayanagi [/Shimoyanagi-kun; if you know which is it, just tag me, thanks ^^] Sasayan’s friend with 1,145 votes. I’ll start with volume 3’s chapter 10 from where the English scanlation stopped. In this entry, it will only up to volume 5 because volume 6 in Chinese isn’t out yet. I would have skip it but Valentine’s Day and Shizuku’s birthday is in there among other things. I think it should be out soon..hoping on June..because volume 7 in Japanese is recently out. Change plans: I’ll just do this the usual because speed summary obviously failed. ^^; Chapter 10 got overly long. ^^;; Hopefully, volume 6 in Chinese is out by the time when I’m in those chapters.
Chapter 10: Two People’s Distance. Shizuku is in her cram school when she notices an electronic dictionary of her seatmate. She thinks that it is someone from Kaimei High. To her surprise, the guy comments that recently her mock exams are very awful. While removing his glasses, he asks if that guy is still okay lately, that Haru she really likes. Shizuku exclaims in surprise for it is Yamaken. At the stairwell, Shizuku is looking at a flyer which sells an electronic dictionary while talking with Haru who is standing below the stairs, and eating some chips. They are talking about the things that have to be bought for the school festival which Haru doesn’t seem to know exists until recently. Shizuku is still infuriated over how Yamaken offered to give that dictionary to her then laughed when she refused. Haru is surprised when Shizuku suddenly shouted that she is so envious of rich people. Haru asks her why she is so agitated. Shizuku says that it is something about yesterday, but she didn’t finish since she forgot the name of that guy. They talk about the things that they have to do in the festival. When Shizuku tries to reach for some chips from Haru, Haru tries to lick her hand. This shocks her that she quickly pulls her hand up. Shizuku darkly reprimands Haru that she will be angry if he once again touch her on his own initiative or try to get too close to her. She wonders what’s up for ever since that day when Haru confessed, he is making her unable to relax every single day. Haru angrily says that after she said that she likes him, she quickly made him maintain some distance from her so is she deliberately bullying him. Shizuku says that it is because he is doing things suddenly. Haru answers that he just wants to confirm it so what about it. Shizuku exclaims that he is wrong and she has told him many times already, if he cannot maintain the appropriate distance, she cannot stay with him. Haru asks what her appropriate distance is. Shizuku tells him that it is approximately two meters. Haru tells her to quit joking around. Shizuku sighs and reminds Haru to respect her wish else she cannot be at ease and be with him. Later on, Haru is busy snapping some planks of wood as he vents his anger about the ‘no touch’ thing. Asako says that it cannot be helped since he usually just keeps on calling Shizuku and following her around. Haru darkly asks what he did wrong. Asako tells him that she isn’t saying that he is wrong but it is just feels a bit uncomfortable if a boy whom one doesn’t really likes, was to touch a girl. While fixing Nagoya’s coop, Haru says is that so, it is quite a problem and Micchan also told him that concerning girls, there are two choices: one is to go steady with her responsibly while the other is not responsibly..
As she opens her notebook computer, Asako blushes since Micchan actually said that. She tells Haru that is right. Asako asks Haru what he is doing. Haru tells her that he is making a barricade around the chicken coop because a lot of people are doing there and he’ll call it, ‘Mizutani Shizuku’. Asako tells him that Shizuku will be angry about that. Then, she notices Shizuku walking to throw the garbage while reading a book. She tells Haru to look and see that Shizuku is coming. Shizuku passes by Sasayan and others who are talking about not being able to get the first school building and it is a key thing for their plan. They cannot get Shitayanagi to get it because he fears the third year students. They were surprised when Shizuku asks them what they are up to. They tell her about the need to get that first school building during the school festival in order to earn some extra money aside from what they have to report to school. Shizuku agrees with the plan and thinks that it is a good idea. When asked why she is interested in it, Shizuku says that there is something she wanted to buy. While they talk again about the third years being scary, Haru tells them to just wildly deal with those guys. Soon, at the conference room, the higher year students announce their want for the choice classrooms in the first school building for the festival. While Chiduru and Shitayanagi are nervous since nothing will be left for the freshman, Shizuku announces that class 1-B wants the first floor by the entrance which is the most advantageous position. Haru sits down and slams his feet on the table to repeat what Shizuku said and ask if anyone has any objections. Flashback: The others want Haru to go and give their proposal but Shizuku and Sasayan opposed it. Haru got irritated by that so he volunteers himself. The other two cannot do anything so Sasayan just told Shizuku to let Haru do it for it is better than Shitayanagi. Shizuku insisted that she be the one to go. End flashback. Shizuku felt really nervous with Haru there.
Then, a higher year student calls out to Haru as to what he is thinking. That student accidentally bumps on Shizuku. This made Haru go into berserk mode and proceeds to punch the guy. In the end, 1-B section got the second school building at the farthest side. Sasayan asks why it is the worst classroom of all. Shizuku, together with beaten up Haru, timidly apologizes. Walking at the outdoor hallway, Chiduru gets an email from her friend, Yuu-chan that she and another friend will be coming to their school festival. She is delighted to hear that. Then she notices Haru pulling some grass at the side. She asks him about his wounded face and she heard that their section got the second school building. Haru tells her that Sasayan has already gone to protest and it seems that he will have to pull grasses until the day of the festival. Chiduru sweatdrops over the barricade that Haru made for Nagoya, and sweatdrops even more, when she learns its name is ‘Mizutani Shizuku’. While licking a scratch on his hand, Haru says that Shizuku scolded him when she told him many times not to fight. Chiduru is envious of Shizuku for Haru did that fight because of Shizuku. She knows that she cannot be someone like Shizuku in Haru’s heart. She then stops herself from being pessimistic and tells Haru that he shouldn’t be like that since he already caused trouble to others and he should reflect on this. She tells him that he shouldn’t use violence in resolving things if he really treasures Shizuku. “I think Mizutani-chan.. she’ll definitely worried about you doing dangerous things for her, so she is that angry!” Sparkling Haru exclaims if that is so, for he always thought that Shizuku is angry because he destroyed some nice thing of hers. For a second, Chiduru wonders if she is mistaken about liking this guy. Before she leaves, Haru says that she said before that she hates herself but he doesn’t think so because he doesn’t hate her one bit. Chiduru tells him to stop calling her ‘committee member head’ but call her Ooshima. Haru says okay and calls her Ooshima. Chiduru smiles and blushes over this. She then tells him about what he told her before about it is hard to cover/stop the water [from flowing?] so he doesn’t want to be mistaken about one’s feelings. But for her, she thinks that it is okay to be mistaken because she doesn’t want to give up. She is aghast when Haru didn’t recall it at all. Chiduru still hopes that one day, she can become that girl whom he’ll like. Haru naively tells Chiduru that he doesn’t understand what she said but, good luck to her. Chiduru is super embarrassed by it. It turns out that Shizuku is standing behind the corner and has overheard them. She sighs and wonders why she is hiding.
While Shizuku is walking in the streets and looking at a list to buy, Sasayan and Asako are walking with her. The other two are talking that even if they didn’t get the first school building, at least they got the second school building’s first floor. Shizuku tells them that she has to go to cram school for a moment. Ayako says that they will accompany her. Then, they pass by a corner and meets with Yamaken with his three friends. While the three guys are going gaga over Ayako whom they seem to like, Yamaken put his arm around Shizuku and asks if she come to check on the grades of the mock exam. He also asks her for some school festival tickets but Shizuku refuses to be an accessory for the trouble they might cause. She had noticed a couple of beaten up a couple of guys at that alley. At the school, Yamaken seems to be asking her about Haru which irrirates Shizuku for everyone is thinking that she is Haru’s girlfriend. Shizuku asks why he thinks so, is it because she is into books. Yamaken says yes for her lifestyle is really boring. Shizuku says that she doesn’t want to hear that from them. Yamaken tells her not to talk about him and those guys as if they are one and the same for those guys are really idiots. He asks doesn’t she feel it to be very interesting to see people stupider than her. Shizuku looks at him and says, really for every time she sees them, she feels that she is going to a far away place and it makes her feel uneasy but then, this kind of feeling [of being number 1 and being superior] is not bad at all. Yamaken looks dark for Shizuku showed him by topping the mock exam. =P Shizuku remembers her declaration that she and Haru are friends so they ought to get along, and Haru’s confession. Shizuku tells herself that it isn’t serious and she isn’t making a mistake. Outside, the three guys are pleading for a school festival ticket but Asako plans to give hers to net friends and Sasayan had already given away all of his. Pointing to them, Yamaken asks if Shizuku finds it interesting upon seeing those idiots. While the three are shouting at Yamaken over that feeling superior attitude, Shizuku gives Yamaken her four tickets since she won’t use them all up. Before leaving, Shizuku tells Yamaken that even if Haru is there to hinder her, she will still do that. The three idiots cry that Shizuku the bookworm is their goddess but Yamaken becomes an S[adist] by telling the three that it was given to him not to them.
Later that night, Haru is walking home with some store bought food. He sees a cat and tries to give it something to eat. Sitting on the stairs, Shizuku calls out to him. Haru darkly goes to her and asks it is such a coincidence to see her there and did she have fun shopping with everyone else. Shizuku tells him that it is something her younger brother asked her to buy. She went to the store to look for him but she learned from Micchan that he went to buy dinner. She gives him a package and says that it is from Asako who wants to give it to him. Just as Shizuku is about to walk up the stairs, Haru asks if that is all there is, as to why she went to see him. Shizuku is puzzled and says that she is already finished with what she had to tell him. While Haru is pouting over it, Shizuku tells him that she won’t fall for him. Haru asks her if she is looking for a fight, since she suddenly said that. Shizuku tells him that it is because the answer is already very obvious and isn’t it too cruel to make the other person anticipate it within one’s heart. They look at each other. To Shizuku’s surprise, Haru says that it doesn’t matter. While taking the thing she is carrying to help her with it, Haru says, “Even if you say it that way.. then, I’ll change that answer!” While Shizuku seems stunned, Haru thinks that it is a good opportunity to ‘attack’ her. Haru is about to lick her when he remembers what Asako told him about girls feeling uncomfortable when touched by guys they don’t really like. Haru stops himself and thinks that was dangerous. He then looks surprised to see Shizuku blushing really red. Shizuku quickly pulls the bag from him and shouts that she’s going home. She runs off, leaving Haru blushing in disbelief over what just happened. Flustered Shizuku keeps telling herself that she isn’t mistaken but why did she become like that. She continues to walk and tries to calm herself. Back at home, Micchan asks Haru if he wants some takoyaki [friend batter balls with octopus inside] and what is this other thing. Haru declines and tells him to go eat ahead, about that other one, it is from Asako. With a dreamy look, Haru comments that Shizuku is really cute. He giggles to himself at how Shizuku looked when she told him that she’s going home. Micchan just says ya, spring has arrived. He looks at smiling Haru then, he also smiles. He tells Haru not to be in so much hurry. Haru says, ‘Oh--’
Ah, there seems to be some things wrong when Shizuku said that she won’t fall for Haru since she did mention before she likes him. So, I think that the first confessions are ‘shallow’ types of I like you and not really romantic. In chapter 9, Haru becomes serious but Shizuku started to keep distance for she fears that it is affecting her studies as mentioned in the earlier part. Yuulin is surprised and wonders what kind of person is this. Later on, Reishou tells Yuulin that Dai is a spy [/secret agent] who for nearly a year, has been sent by Reishou to go do some reconnaissance work over the situation in some place and this time around, he has been called back. While eating something, Dai notices that Yuulin is looking at him. Posing with his index finger and thumb on his chin, Dai tells her that is right, he is His Majesty’s underling who is quite capable in secret activities. “Heh! I’m really cool! Oh ya! Your Highness, it’s okay to call me Kou-chan!” Yuulin sweatdrops and thinks that this spy is quite open [/talkative]. She observes that since Reishou is talking with Dai in ‘puppy’ mode, this means that Dai also knew about the ‘Wolf King’ is just an act. Then, Dai exclaims, “—but! It really surprises me! I thought that according to ‘His Wolf Majesty’s interest [/type], you should have hired a sexy, beautiful lady..” He didn’t get to finish what he is saying because Reishou is already pinching Dai’s cheek really hard. With a stiff smile, Reishou tells him not to say some irrelevant things. This made Dai retract what he said by shouting to surprised Yuulin that it is just his imagination. Still with a smile, Reishou tells Dai that greetings are over so, he should come with him to that room at the side. Aghast Dai continues to shout that he doesn’t have any other meaning to what he said. “Please believe me--” Reishou tells him that he ought to have a lot of things to tell him. While pulling Dai [by the ear/hat], Reishou bids Yuulin goodbye and says that he’ll leave the housekeeping to her. After speechlessly observing the two earlier, Yuulin says okay. As Reishou walks out of the room while followed by Dai, Yuulin thinks that it is rare to see Reishou like that. Looking somewhat surprised, Yuulin muses that those two’s relationship seems to be very good. The next day, while doing her maid job, Yuulin asks Gen about Dai. While eating a snack, Gen tells her if that spy came back yesterday. Gen informs her that before Reishou succeed into the throne, Dai has always been at Reishou’s side, doing things on behalf of Reishou. And, if Dai has time, he will come to extort some of Gen’s snacks. Yuulin says is that so. She thinks that she should get along with Dai, too because he ought to also know, more or less about the inside story [about Reishou, I presume.]
Then, someone calls out and asks what they are talking about. Dai drops down and hangs upside down from the window. He says, “I also want to know some things about Her Highness.” Yuulin screams in surprise. Dai tells her not to scream. Then, he quickly swings into the room and goes to Gen. He asks old man Gen what he is eating and is it delicious. Gen tells him that he won’t give him any. Dai calls him stingy. Then, sparkling Dai asks Yuulin, “Then! How did you capture the heart of His Majesty!?” Gen is shouting “Woot, woot, You’re so amazing” at the side. Yuulin tells Dai that she didn’t do anything. Puzzled, Dai asks, “Then! How were you able to make him become your hubby-kun?” As Gen continues to shout out his cheers, Yuulin tells Dai that Reishou isn’t her hubby-kun. “This is only my work! I and His Majesty are only pretending to be a married couple! *flustered* What’s this about- Geez-” Dai is in a daze. He then asks, “So this means, the two of you still haven’t done anything?” As Gen goes to shout “Boo, Boo,” Yuulin exclaims that is right and tells Gen that he’s too noisy. To Yuulin’s surprise, Dai comments, so that’s how it is, because they’ve always hired only her, he thought that he ought to expect something [from her?]. “It seems that you also won’t do at all. His Majesty is still the same as before. How boring. *smiles* Ah, forget it. See you next time, Princess!” After he left, Yuulin got furious over what Dai meant by what he said that she won’t do and it is boring. At the harem, Reishou tells irritated Yuulin not to mind what Dai told her even if he [Reishou] doesn’t know what Dai told her. “That guy is basically quite unreasonable.” Reishou looks tense as Yuulin angrily looks at him. She asks him if their [R&D] relationship is really that good. Reishou tells her that it is because they know each other for such a long time so they get along with each other, and can be at ease. Reishou adds that Dai is also quite useful and he had helped him a lot. Yuulin feels a bit jealous of Dai who knows Reishou for a longer time, knows a lot more things about Reishou and perhaps enjoys a lot more trust [/confidence] in him. “Maybe, it is something that I shouldn’t make irresponsible remarks on.”
Reishou asks Yuulin if there are any other troublesome things at the harem. Yuulin sparkles and happily tells him that there is no trouble at all since she is really quite relaxed here as compared to the vacation palace. “And today, I’m in the process of doing a major cleaning [like spring cleaning] which hasn’t been done for such a long time! It has been quite extensive! So, if Your Majesty has some free time, you should definitely come and tour the place! The floor has been polished, and it’s now sparkling!” Yuulin stops when she notices Reishou smiling at her. She asks him what it is. Holding her chin, Reishou says, “It’s nothing. Just seeing you looking quite happy, even if I’ll be exhausted, it’s also worth it.” Yuulin blushes really red. She stiffens and starts to ask, “Ah, ..ya? That..” Reishou smiles and says that it seems that she is still not used to it. This shocks and embarrasses Yuulin. She exclaims for him not to suddenly do that for she cannot be like him who can suddenly start acting. Reishou says is that so. Jun arrives and calls out to Reishou. Standing up, smiling Reishou tells Jun that he knows and he’ll quickly go. Reishou apologizes to Yuulin because right now, he has to go and listen to Dai’s report. “It’s because during the day, I couldn’t find the time to hear it. ..I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to keep you company.” Flustered Yuulin tells him that it is okay. She wishes him gambatte on his work. As Reishou leaves, Yuulin wonders what she can do in the harem. Aside from doing cleaning work, all she can do is wait. “..maybe, I should undergo special training.. *blushes* No, no, it’s just too embarrassing! –--Anyway, tomorrow. I’ll prepare some sweet snacks and wait for His Majesty. Ya, [that’s what I’ll do].” And then-- Yuulin exclaims, “What? Today, too?” Jun tells her that it is a whole year’s report. On the second day, Yuulin exclaims, “It’s still not over?” Jun pouts and says that it is quite long. On the third day, Yuulin asks, “Could it be..” Jun sighs and says that even if it is troublesome for him but.. Yuulin is furious as she slams her hands on the table of prepared tea and snacks. The waiting ladies look tense. Yuulin thinks that from the on, she has totally been hanged to dry at one side. “In the morning, it is government politics and at night, it is meetings. He basically didn’t go at my side! *calms down* No, I should understand. Work is more important, work! It cannot be helped.” Then, while Dai is sharing a snack with Gen, Dai happily says, “Ah, about that-- It seems that His Majesty also hates those crowd of old foxes that surround him so yesterday, midway, he simply hold a banquet--” This made Yuulin furious for it is now for pleasure and not for work that Reishou didn’t went to see her.
Soon, while walking at the hallway, Dai calls out to Yuulin as to why she is so angry. “And, if you don’t put on a smiling face upon greeting His Majesty, you might be hated, right?” Yuulin shouts that these few days, they didn’t even see each other [so what if she isn’t smiling]. Yuulin thinks that Reishou said those things to make [/hint to] her [to] ‘wait’, and even if she is a temporary Princess who has no right to get angry but in the end, she basically doesn’t have any leeway to participate [or do something]. Flustered Yuulin exclaims, “It seems that His Majesty really likes to chat with his friend [more than me]!” Dai looks at her in surprise. To Yuulin’s surprise, Dai asks, “Friend? I’m not His Majesty’s friend, right? Speaking of that, if you ask me to become that person’s friend, I would also refuse. *Dai prepares to leap up onto the roof.* Ah! There’s not much time. See you next time--” Yuulin wonders what Dai meant by what he said. While Dai is happily walking on top of the roof, someone calls out to him, “Hey! Stop right there for a moment!” Dai turns around and sees angry Yuulin is walking on the roof, trying to chase him. Dai screams in shock and exclaims what she is doing up there. Dai looks scared when Yuulin angrily looks at him and says that he is really so thick-faced. “It seems that His Majesty is really happy when you’ve returned! But you unexpectedly.. *Dai tries to calm her down* At one side, you guys would show off how good your relationship with each other wherein no one can easily interfere, then on the other side, you expectedly say, ‘not a friend’! Then what am I [to him] being always melancholic at this place! *Dai looks surprised* In short! Next time, you are not to say things that will hurt His Majesty’s feelings! *pointing at Dai* Do you understand..” Then, Yuulin loses her balance and starts falling down. Dai happily looks down and exclaims, “Just in time!” Reishou manages to catch Yuulin. Yuulin mentally freaks out over this. Reishou says that she unexpectedly run on to the roof and he thought that it is just his imagination. “It turns out to be real. *Blushing Yuulin clinging on to Reishou* --but forget it. What are you doing at that place, My Princess?”
Reishou is puzzled when Yuulin didn’t reply. Reishou wonders out loud if this is his imagination since Yuulin hugged him back. To Reishou’s surprise, Yuulin exclaims that it is special training. Reishou carries her ala princess carry and smiles at her. He says that is really good. While thinking that she was really angry but then, forget about it, Yuulin blushes really red for she is too embarrassed. Emitting dark chi, Reishou calls out to Dai who starts to run away, and asks where he plans to go. Later on, Dai mutters what’s up with that princess that he got lectured for it though it is a good thing that the roof isn’t that high. Much later on, Dai reports to Reishou that the spies that are lingering at the nearby external wall have been dealt with. “And just like before, there are enemies everywhere.” Reishou says that they are observing the Princess and Dai should continue to act as her guard. Dai says that he [Dai] is not to let Yuulin know about it and he’ll do what Reishou ordered. Dai conveniently asks if Reishou thinks of him as a friend. Reishou says no, not one bit. Dai says that he also thought so since he is only a tool for Reishou. Dai happily smiles and thinks, “A Princess who is kept in the dark and a Wolf King who hides everything. These two people, perhaps, is more interesting than I imagined it to be.” Narration: “And so, in the daily life in the harem, there is another one more person.” Dai happily calls out to Yuulin that his report is over and he’ll give His Majesty to her. “So, go enjoy the ‘romantic couple’s world’ [/only the two of you] to the max!” This made Yuulin blush really red from embarrassment. She shouts at him that she doesn’t anticipate that thing and she fundamentally do not think of that thing. While speechless Reishou’s smile freezes, Dai is shock and tells her that kind of talk will hurt His Majesty[’s feelings]. Yuulin exclaims in surprise and says that it is impossible. Reishou continues to be speechless. Narration: “It seems that the road to mutually understand each other is still quite a long way ahead.” End scene = Jun gloomily tells Yuulin that he never once imagined that he will be telling a temporary Princess to ‘do not climb up the roof’ type of words. Yuulin sweatdrops and apologizes to him. And, we have a new amusing character. I think he will be like a second cupid. Gen is already amusing with his cheers and boos =P It seems that those who are after Yuulin as the Princess isn’t over yet. I’m not too sure if it is okay to keep Yuulin clueless about it but I guess, Reishou doesn’t want to scare her too much about it. Ah..there were attempts before but she is still there, right? ^^ Hehe, even if Yuulin doesn’t want to admit it, she really does miss Reishou. With Yuulin, it seems that actions speak louder than her words =P Ah, it’s really hard to be a king of a country – so busy and everything. I guess it is also hard to be a Princess who has to keep on waiting for the king to visit her.
Chapter 20: Narration: “Unknowingly and without notice, new trouble comes out again.” There are three scenes: 1. A black haired bearded guy. 2. Han Shisei. 3. It seems to be a cloaked guy hanging around outside. [<- probably the spies that Dai mentioned in the last chapter.] In Hakuyou harem where outsiders are forbidden to enter, Yuulin is busy cleaning as a maid. Dai asks Gen, “Then-- how is the relationship between Her Highness and His Majesty lately?” Gen says, “Ha? Do you even need to ask? But of course, it is-- *gesturing a heart shape with his hands and standing on the table* lovey-dovey! Lovey-dovey!” Dai claps and says ah, so that’s how it is. Yuulin angrily shouts for that it isn’t so. “Don’t disturb me while I’m cleaning! Go at that side and play there!” The two make noise and says, “Ah- How scary-” Yuulin angrily thinks that they are so annoying. It has been a few days since the spy Kou Dai returned and since then, her working life isn’t at peace at all. Whenever she is cleaning, Dai will come and asks what she is doing. Narration: “But, it appears that I’m not the only one who is distraught with anxiety over interpersonal relationships..” Later that night, wolf mode Reishou angrily complains that while he is busy, those old foxes unexpectedly are demanding something from him again. Yuulin looks scared at Reishou as she is about to serve tea. She nervously thinks that the Wolf King is at his peak. Reishou is still maintaining that mode even while he is already in the harem. While emitting dark chi, Reishou is on the table with a lot of paperwork. Yuulin asks Jun, who is carrying a tray of scrolls to Reishou, as to what had happened to His Majesty. Jun sighs and says that a troublesome thing happened at the royal court. It is an old issue before wherein for some years, there is a fervent and constant demand to commence the Spring Banquet again. “There are two people to be chosen as to who will be the director [person-in-charge]. And from there on, there is a dispute. The first choice is Chancellor Ryu Gikou who is currently the core of the central administration [/government]. He is Houen’s father. Then, at the other side is Han Shisei, the head of the long historically established main families within the country. That is of course, Kouju’s father. Jun sighs and says that the two of them are important ministers* of the royal court so it is very hard to choose between them. [*also mean chancellors; I'll be alternating these two at times but they mean the same thing.] Reishou says that a few months ago, he thought that it is just something for recreation and it isn’t a pressing matter. “Just like that, I set it aside... *face palms and becomes gloomy* I didn’t think that after some time, the Royal Court will be divided into two factions [the Han group and the Ryu group] around this issue.”
The two guys sigh as Yuulin thinks that all of trouble and dispute over who will be the director of a banquet. While thinking that she really cannot comprehend the people in the Royal Court, Yuulin tells Reishou that if he has any troubles, he can tell it to her. Reishou happily smiles at her. In puppy mode, he puts his head on the table and says, “I want to just always stay at the harem. Those people are too annoying.” Freaking out Jun shouts that Reishou cannot do that. He calls for Yuulin to also persuade Reishou not to do that. Yuulin sweatdrops and thinks that the issue won’t be resolved that way. After a pause, Reishou smiles and thanks Yuulin. “There’s no need for you to worry. This kind of thing is quite ordinary.” Yuulin is taken aback by that. While Reishou continues to talk with Jun about some other matters, Yuulin thinks that it seems that Reishou do not want to continue talking with her about this issue when it is obviously such a troublesome thing. “It seems that at night, he would go drinking [wine] with Dai [who obviously isn’t a kid; just young looking =P] and would tell Dai all of his worries. Yuulin becomes melancholic and thinks that she always feels a bit frustrated about that. At an outdoor gazebo, Yuulin is having tea with Kouju which she does from time to time. Yuulin had asked her about the Spring Banquet. Kouju tells Yuulin that she doesn’t particularly know about Spring Banquet but if her father has been chosen to do it, it will definitely be spectacular and dazzling. Yuulin laughs and says that Kouju really favors her father. This made Kouju blush as she exclaims that it is true [what she said earlier]. As long as it is something that has to be elegant, there is no one better in doing it than the Han family. Yuulin just laughs about it and thinks that Kouju is such a cute kid who really thinks of her father. [<- like a daddy’s girl]. Kouju insists that it is true and she can verify it by visiting their house. “Once you see it, you’ll definitely understand! It’s really true!” Yuulin just says that from hearing it, it seems good. [<- being polite; ‘it’s a good idea.’] Kouju says that if it’s okay, she’ll go ask her father to teach her about the Spring Banquet and this way, she can be of help to Yuulin. Yuulin is delighted over it and says that’s really good. Yuulin thinks that if she knows more about this banquet thing, perhaps it would be easier for her to talk with Reishou about it. Soon, the two happily bid each other goodbye.
Narration: “—but, for me to decide on that, it unexpectedly progressed to some other direction.” Yuulin looks really tense for she has two visitors, Shisei and Gikou. Shisei says, “Your Ministers have heard, that Your Highness is quite interested over the Spring Banquet. If your Ministers are to be so bold, let us recount to you about the matter at hand. We are truly honored to be called in by Your Highness.” Aghast Yuulin just says that it is nothing, and good work to Shisei. [<- being polite.] Jun is standing beside Yuulin who is mentally freaking out that the two main ministers are going to explain things to her. Gikou says that he is truly overjoyed to have the opportunity to see Her Highness. Yuulin politely says that she has heard a lot about him. Jun darkly looks at Yuulin for suddenly doing such things on her own. Yuulin mentally tells him that it isn’t so for she only wants to hear it from Kouju so why did things turn out this way wherein she is now in this situation that both of them would even come to explain things to her. Smiling Shisei tells Yuulin that speaking of the Spring Banquet, it is an activity wherein one will hold a ceremony/meeting to appreciate the flowers and at one side, there will be lights to illuminate the flowers. Smiling Gikou says that in accordance to tradition, they will hold it at some distant river bank. He suggests that they also do the ‘floating a wine cup along the winding river’. [<- It is an activity during gatherings wherein a wine cup would be placed upriver and carried down along with the stream. The one having the cup stopped before him had to drink the wine, or in some cases, have to improvise a poem. This ancient Chinese activity has later on been introduced to Japan. Source: Cultural China] Yuulin tensely looks at them and thinks that even if these two men are smiling, but the mood is really heavy. “It.. it feels really scary.. no wonder His Majesty cannot stop worrying.. Quickly end already..” Then, with a smile, Shisei says that he couldn’t accept Gikou’s tone of voice because it would seem as if His Majesty has already awarded him the task. Gikou answers back that he isn’t like him who only care about power struggles. Yuulin is shock as she wonders if they are quarrelling already and that is really quite unexpected. To her surprise, Shisei says that it is quite rare for them to come here so how about they ask the opinion of the palace’s flower – Her Highness. “Your Highess, who do you think.. among us, ministers who is up to the task on this Spring Banquet--” Yuulin is freaking out as she thinks for them not to push that issue on to her and she also doesn’t quite know about this thing.
Just when Jun is about to stop those two, someone says, “When I’m not around, are the two of you quarreling again?” It is Reishou. He tells them that that he remembered telling them to wait for his instruction regarding the banquet. While Gikou is silent, Shisei asks Reishou if he wants to listen, too. As Yuulin goes to him, Reishou tells them to stop such nonsense talk until here. Touching Yuulin’s face, he says that is unless if they have something more delightful than this thing of his [<- referring to Yuulin]. Smiling Shisei says that His Majesty and Her Highness’ feelings for each other are as harmonious as ever. Gikou says that it seems that they should take their leave else they attract His Majesty’s displeasure. Shisei tells Yuulin that whenever it is convenient with her, they will listen to her instructions. [<- being polite.] Still standing behind Reishou, Yuulin timidly says yes. After they left, Reishou asks Yuulin if she is alright. Yuulin snaps out of it and is surprised that she is holding on to Reishou’s shirt. Blushing Yuulin quickly let go of his shirt and backs away. While thinking that it is the Wolf King, Yuulin exclaims that she is alright. Reishou looks at her then smiles before telling her that those two guys’ relationship has been bad since the start, so if one is to get involved into their fights, it will definitely be a loss so she should be careful next time. Yuulin thinks that Reishou turned into puppy mode. Yuulin says okay, is that so, and just now she was shock. Reishou smiles at her then looks serious. Later on, in some other room, Jun darkly reprimands Yuulin for putting him in a tight spot. “Please control your hasty words and actions..!” Yuulin thinks that in the end, she is being lectured. Jun tells her that the palace’s power relations are very complicated. “Even if it is me, I also have to be very cautious and careful. Because I’m afraid that if there is such a miniscule mistake, would ever to happen, it might also attract a huge quantity of enemies [to surround us]. So, it is necessary to pay attention to the conduct of one’s words and actions. Do not be mistaken about your position.” Yuulin looks at him in somewhat surprise and thinks that Jun is saying that she is not to overstep her boundaries and she has been pushed out. While walking at the hallway, Yuulin sadly thinks that it has been such a long time since she has been strictly reprimanded like that. She remembers Jun telling her that except from the things they tell her, she is not to ask any other things. “Ah, I felt alienated again..”
At a room where Reishou is reading some scrolls, Dai is keeping him company. Dai tells him that he never imagined that the Princess will take her own initiative to see those two scary uncles. “I don’t know when they will once again bite and not let go. I really worry on her behalf. So scary- Doesn’t she have any prudence? Hahaha” After a pause, Reishou tells him that Yuulin is afraid of the Wolf king so she won’t touch anything related to politics and regarding those guys, she will be more careful next time. Dai is speechless then mutters ya. He then says, “That’s right! Regarding the Wolf King, she would wildly refuse [him]! That is prudence! *Puzzled when Reishou didn’t react.* She is also quite serious when she is cleaning.. she definitely want to quickly get out of debt and go home! So that’s how it is..” Dai becomes more puzzled when Reishou still doesn’t react. Dai pats Reishou’s back and says, “It’s alright, it’s alright! Until then, I’ll accompany you in drinking wine! (What is this? It’s so interesting--)” Dark Reishou tells Dai that ever since he came back, that is the only thing that he talks about. While trying to comfort Reishou, Dai thinks that it seems that Reishou is really in a bad mood. As they drink some wine, amused Dai looks at Reishou and thinks, “Do not want to be feared and also do not want to be hated? That ‘Wolf King’? Making her stay at the harem, so that she’ll be far from danger, right? Haha, until when can you persist on this--..” Holding a bottle of wine, Dai urges Reishou to come and tell him of his troubles. Reishou sighs and tells him to forget it for it is just something fun for him [Dai]. Soon, Reishou goes to the harem. Yuulin is surprised to see her for she was told that he won’t be coming tonight. Reishou slightly smiles and says, “I want to see my Princess. ..can’t I?” Yuulin’s heart beats loudly and she blushes. She mutters that of course he can, and it is her honor. She and some waiting ladies bow. Yuulin thinks that she is wavering again and wonders when she can be just calm when she sees the ‘Wolf king’. Sitting on the sofa, Reishou asks her if she can give him some water to drink. “I felt a bit uncomfortable after seeing Kou Dai.” Yuulin says okay, she’ll quickly get him some. Yuulin wonders if Reishou has been drinking with Dai again, and Reishou is a bit ..is he still acting. “Usually, he quickly turn into a gentle puppy.. is it because he’s drunk? Could it be that he is some sort of drunk while working? Could it be that his acting has deeply penetrated into his innermost being..”
While she offers Reishou a cup of water, Yuulin says that there are only the two of them there right now so why don’t he relax a bit. Reishou smiles at her and says, “Of course. My Princess is a real expert in consoling me.” Yuulin blushes and thanks him for his compliment. She thinks that he still didn’t change back. “Ah.. what should I do? I’m all alone in dealing with the Wolf king!? It feels really strange.. *blushing and tense* I totally feel.. really nervous..!” Yuulin happily tells him that this morning, she was totally shock by that incident for she didn’t know that Chancellor Shisei and Chancellor Ryu’s relationship is that bad. Yuulin thinks that if she chats with Reishou, he will turn into puppy mode. She continues to tell Reishou that it is really hard to be pressed in between those two and it is inappropriate for her to choose either.. She wasn’t able to continue when irritated Reishou says, “..don’t talk about it anymore. That has nothing to do with you.” Yuulin felt a stab of pain over that. She felt alienated and wonders if Reishou is angry. Flustered Yuulin replies, “I.. I, won’t ask anything, nor think of anything. *remembers Jun* I only have to stay at the harem.. is that right?” Reishou says yes, that is right. Feeling really dejected, flustered Yuulin starts to cry. She says, “If that is how it is, I.. won’t be able to know anything about the things that concerns you, right? But.. I.. want to understand.. you a lot more..” She thinks that he is currently a drunk ‘Wolf king’. “What am I to say to him.. I’m unexpectedly in pain because of his rejection..” Reishou looks at her then stands up. He smiles and says, “You, who fear the ‘Wolf king’, ..want to understand me?” Narration: “—this act.. up to when will it continue!?” Yuulin is surprised when Reishou suddenly holds her hand and pulls her head towards him. Chomp! Yuulin is in total shock. While holding her face, Reishou says, “Since you don’t have awareness, then don’t come and tease [/provoke] me.” As Reishou let go of her and looks at her, all red Yuulin is trembling. She thinks, “Just now.. what did he do?” Holding her nose, Yuulin says, “Bite.. just now.. nose! Bitten by..!” There is a replay of Reishou biting her nose. Reishou is shock into puppy mode when Yuulin screams really loud. She starts to run away and keeps thinking that Wolf king bit her nose. Aghast Reishou tries to tell her to wait as he apologizes to her. Yuulin starts to throw pillows at him and shouts, “Quickly get out! Idiot!” Reishou tries to tell her that he shouldn’t have done that. “I’m sorry!” Yuulin continues to freak out and shouts, “You drunk! Get far away from me! *waiting ladies come in and ask the couple what happened* Nothing! All of you leave! I detest! Wolf king-whatever, I detest the most!” Aghast Reishou is totally speechless as he holds the pillow that she threw at him. Yuulin thinks, “Why did things turn out this way!” Narration: “--And so, on the second day. ..new things continue to happen.” Holding a letter, aghast Jun asks Reishou if he allowed it. Reishou says that he did. Jun exclaims why. Reishou tells him that he’s not allowed to ask. While feeling faint, Jun says, “Un.. unexpectedly, during this sensitive time.. [she] ran to Han Kouju’s private residence..!?” Reishou tensely says, yes and Yuulin has always been ‘exceeding expectations’. And a carriage is driving away with Yuulin inside..still looking flustered while holding her pretty little nose. Narration: “—The Wolf king’s temporary bride, has left home today.”
Hehe..I’m thinking that it seems like I haven’t read any couple scene in shoujo that involves biting of nose. ^^; Wow..what an impact on Yuulin..it wasn’t even a kiss or something like that. I still think that she is confusing her love for Reishou as the Wolf king as fear since the symptoms of heartbeats, nervousness, etc are the same. Reishou tends to be flirtier when he’s in wolf mode. Well, Reishou is the same for he also thinks that she really fears him. It must have hit him hard when Yuulin is ‘that scared of him’ as compared to those two ministers. And if you are to add what Dai told him, Reishou had a moment wherein he finally couldn’t control himself. I guess that is something that Reishou will regret for a long time. =P Somehow, it would be interesting if someone tells Yuulin that if she goes ‘out of bounds’, she doesn’t want to be just a temporary/fake bride but a real one. I cannot recall which manga I’ve read that before. ^^; About the two ministers, it is really hard to please everyone and I wonder how that dispute is going to be settled. Even if Gikou seems to be the ‘bad one’ based on appearance, I would be more careful about Shisei because he did try to kill frame Yuulin up. For Gikou, at least his son really looks up to Reishou. I guess being around these kinds of people Reishou really has to a ‘Wolf king’ so that they won’t push him around. Meanwhile, crossed arms [/selfhugging] Kaname is looking out the window to a forest and a volcano. Kain comes in and says that the lava has been flowing non-stop for a long time already so is it really okay. Melancholic Kaname tells him that this little bit won’t cause climate change and at most, it will change the topography of this barren land [/desert]. Kain clarifies that isn’t the worry but rather, the house [they are in?] might also be engulfed by it. Ruka is also concerned about this. Kaname smiles and says again that it isn’t here, that time isn’t here anymore. Kaname glances at serious Kain and says that it is okay. “Before then, I will make Ruka depart. Even if she will hate me, and that is also a definite.” [<- the last line; I’m not sure if he is saying Ruka will hate him definitely or he will definitely make her leave.] Kain says is that so and if it isn’t, then they [Kain and Kaname] make a settlement [/like severing their relationship] and no matter what, adopt any [/other?] methods. [I think that Kain meant that if Kaname ever endangers Ruka, it is over between them.] Kaname looks at Kain and slightly smiles. Just when Seiren is coming in, Kain tells Kaname, “So.. next, will be that side, Kaname-sama.” Kaname touches the table where there is that rose in a resin bottle, and a chessboard with a rook standing up. At the association, holding his head as if he had a headache, Kaien tells Sara that they already know that the supposed head of Hio [Shizuka] and the long sleeping guy in the temple are destroyed. Then, those vampires who are affiliated with royal blood are turned into ash and the one whom the last saw in that place is.. Sara says that it is Kaname. Sara tells him that even if she never said it before but at the night banquet, the one who killed Ouri is also Kaname. Sara smiles then calls out for Yuuki to come in the room. Surprised Yuuki asks why they say that it is Kaname and could it be that they saw that instance. Kaien nervously calls Yuuki’s name. Sara goes on her knees and clings on to Yuuki’s shirt. Sara says that she knows, so please save her. The one who killed Hanadagi is also Kaname. And it will be her turn next so if it is Yuuki, she can definitely protect her from Kaname. Sara pleads for Yuuki to let her stay by her side. Then, outside, someone is again knocking at the door..why it is Takuma who asked them to open the door and if Sara went there.
Meanwhile, Yuuki is venting her frustration on her feather filled pillows/bed as she asks for someone to please come and just stop the time. She exclaims what Kaname is doing and if it is true, please stop. Thoroughly irritated for she knows that in reality, time won’t stop. Suddenly, she feels a thirst. She looks at a huge container of blood tablets and thinks that the reality she is a vampire also won’t disappear. At a room, Sara is surrounded by her fangirls. Sara thanks Takuma and says that she did thought of welcoming him. The girls seem to be saying that they are worried for Sara and Sara calls them cute. Takuma looks at Sara then at Zero who is at the door. Takuma tells Zero that he wants to properly thank Yuuki and say some things to her. Takuma tells Zero that he’ll watch over this place so can he ask that of Zero. Zero quietly gives them a last glance before leaving. Sara is also quietly watching Zero. Zero goes to Yuuki’s room to see her eating a blood tablet. The door isn’t closed. Yuuki asks Zero what’s up. Zero tells her that it seems that Takuma wants to say something to her. Yuuki acknowledges that then eats another tablet. After Zero left, Yuuki calls herself stupid for being careless about not noticing that she didn’t close the door. Zero quickly heads out of the dorm and seems to be in pain as he stands by a tree outside. While Zero is holding his throat, Sara arrives and asks, “What’s the matter? Mr. young hunter..” Zero looks at her as she continues to say that he is pitiful for he has no way of dealing with the hunger. Back in the room, Yuuki thinks that the blood tablets are manufactured blood from all sorts of blood type. It is made from cell and synthetic substances. Yuuki wonders whose cell it originally from and in an instant, she felt the taste of that person whom she hasn’t seen countless times. Yuuki mutters that it doesn’t taste good. Maria comes in and says that she agrees even if it is a medicine to make them live easier. Yuuki turns around and calls Maria’s name. Maria apologizes and says that she has seen it. It seems that Yuuki cannot talk with Zero just like before. Yuuki says ya. Maria approaches Yuuki and asks, “Could it be that.. [you] already do not want [him]? Then.. *touches lips* I’ll take away Zero-kun..” Yuuki turns to look at Maria and Yuuki doesn’t look amused. The end narration is Yuuki thinking that little by little what remains is, the flavor when she first tasted the blood tablet. “—really unpleasant [/objectionable].”
That last part can mean the taste of the blood tablet or what Maria just told her. If it is the latter then, well..time to two-time? =P I wonder if Maria is really serious about wanting to get Zero. Is it a case of just because she cannot get Ichiru, let’s settle for the twin? Maybe her ‘motherly instinct’ just wants to care for Zero or it could be something else that isn’t romantically related..like blood sucking? For her to say that, it makes me really wonder if she is telling the truth regarding ‘want to make friends’. She seems to be stalking both Zero and Yuuki and observing their relationship. It makes me think that Zero is right that one shouldn’t be too naive with vampires. Well, it is also possible that Sara is controlling Maria who seems to be a bit gutsy now than before. The action scene at the first part is nice but like always, Yuuki tends to fail at the last moment and Zero has to cover for her. Their interaction there is really intense and I didn’t know Yuuki still wears that bracelet. Was she wearing it all the time even when she is at Kaname’s side? Well, obviously, Kaname didn’t want to leave any memento for Yuuki since he took that resin rose. Hehe, unless he needs something to remember her by.. as to why he is doing all this? From the way Kaname is talking and acting, it seems that he is going for self-destruction for some kind of motive which is still quite vague. It’s really reminding me of Code Geass’ Lelouch. As usual, Kain is going along with this for Ruka’s sake but he will put his foot down if ever she is endangered. From what he is doing and about Ruka hating him, is it because Kaname is ruining his own reputation yet not doing anything to change that impression? It does seem that Kaname is deliberating creating witnesses to the ‘murders’. And, Sara is using it for her own purposes that she will pretty much blame all the recent deaths of high profile vampires on to Kaname. It is a convenient excuse to get close to Yuuki. Kaien can no longer defend Kaname because of the ‘facts’ and Yuuki starts to believe it all. The way Sara is going for purebloods, Yuuki ought to be very careful, least she forget, she has Kuran blood..the yummiest of them all. Lol, and Sara has to bring her harem in the dorm. =P For Sara to taunt Zero, is it her way of getting back at Zero at how he treated her or is he a pawn which she can use to get to Yuuki then to Kaname? Oh, before I forget, Zero is the ‘real’ head of the hunters so it might be good for Sara to get him under her control. I keep forgetting since he is being made into a ‘bodyguard’ and now, an ‘errand boy’ ^^; It does seem like a repeat of Shizuka vs Kaname in some sort of ‘chess game’..hehe, Kaname is playing it again, right? =P Since he is a strategist, Kaname should have anticipate what Sara is doing and even if he isn’t around, he has a ‘knight’ to protect Yuuki and there is also Hanabusa, and Kaien. I think there is also a reason why Takuma is with Sara. About the blood tablets, from Yuuki’s thoughts, it does seem that the ones Yuuki is eating are made from Kaname’s blood. Were all the others made from his blood or these ones are specially made for Yuuki? Since Kaname used to be some sort of alchemist/scientist, I won’t be surprised if he is also the one who invented the blood tablets. Hm..maybe this is the reason why he was taking the blood of those villagers before. To Misaki and the other girls’ surprise, some guys decide to make a shrine temple race out of it. Misaki tries to tell them that it is senseless to finish quickly and if they want to play, they can do it at Shinkyougoku. [<- This shopping district consisting of numerous gift shops extends from Sanjo-dori Street to Shijo-dori Street. It is famous as a Mecca among student travelers. Source: Welcome to Kyoto] They didn’t listen as they continue to run off. The other girls comment that Seika guys are really energetic that they put all their energy in playing. Then, a guy accidentally bumps on Shizuko. Just when Misaki is about to call the guy, the glasses guy turns around and asks if Shizuko is okay. Shizuko blushes. [Based on kanji, the guy is Suzuki or other way of reading it. He seems to have made an appearance before in volume 8. I don’t recall the guy so correct me if I got the name wrong. ^^;] Suzuki apologizes and leaves. Misaki is shock at how infatuated Shizuko looks. Misaki and others go to Ginkaku-ji [Silver Pavilion] next so they now have two stamps. The teachers are the one putting the stamps on the card. They notice that a lot of people want to finish it quickly but then, there are people who go to Kinkaku-ji [Golden Pavilion] and Seimei Shrine. Then, Misaki and others plan to ride a taxi but later on, someone got easily dizzy over the ride so they end up walking. When Misaki is telling them about walking at some philosophical path, Hinata, together with some guys, calls out to her. Misaki asks if he is doing things as he want again but Hinata tells her that he is doing his usual thing. It seems that Misaki feels sorry for Hinata’s friends who have to follow Hinata wherever he wants to go. When Misaki is about to ask about Hinata’s friends, she notices that the girls whom she is with are talking with them [guys]. The guys tell the girls that it is going to rain that day so they brought an umbrella which seems to be a sword. The girls blush and laugh that they actually bought it from the Toei Uzumasa Eigamura. The guys are speechless over this. Then, the guys ask if they brought umbrellas and the girls say that they didn’t. The guys say that they might be able to buy there or they can lend it to them. Misaki is surprised for when did their relationship became this good. Hinata says isn’t it like that since they are class/schoolmates. Misaki says that it isn’t ordinary. She wonders if it is the effect of the school trip.
Soon, Misaki and Hinata’s group went to a few more temples/shrines and arrive at Nanzen-ji [Zen Buddhist temple] wherein they completed the required stamps. Then, they see Usui walking by himself. Usui tells them that he got lost so he ends up randomly strolling by himself. There is a scene of Maria and others surprised that Usui is gone. Misaki asks if it isn’t deliberate. Hinata tells Usui that he use his cellphone to contact the others. To their shock, Usui tells them that he doesn’t know the others’ telephone number. Hinata then says that he also doesn’t know Usui’s number so he asks Usui to tell him. Usui refuses because he doesn’t want it to leak out. Misaki asks if he totally doesn’t trust Hinata. Hinata angrily cries over what they thought of him. Behind them, the other girls and boys of Misaki and Hinata’s group are already exchanging contact numbers. They call out to Hinata to exchange with them. Hinata happily goes to them. Usui looks at the others and comments that is something he hasn’t seen before [-> girls and boys getting along]. While she is about to agree with him, Misaki is surprised to see smiling Tora, together with Kanade, approaching them. Tora comments that they had met with each other again or could it be that Misaki is following him. Misaki angrily says that she is on an ordinary school trip and is he on a stroll again. Tora says that a tea ceremony has just ended and he manages to see them so he wants to observe for some entertainment. He comments that it is quite good for it seems that they are really happy that he’s quite envious. Misaki darkly says, ‘yeah right’ so Tora asks if she thinks that he is lying. Tora says that when monkeys are acting quite noisy, doesn’t it make people happy so he isn’t lying. Misaki sarcastically says that it is an honor that he is entertained.
Tora comments that those monkeys have become less troublesome and it’s pretty good that Misaki was able to do it, up to that extent. The others are already taking pictures of each other. Tora asks what’s up with Misaki’s glare. Misaki says that it is because she doesn’t know what his intention is. Tora sighs and says that it won’t do if he doesn’t say it clearly to monkeys so she should be happy since he’ll tell her frankly. “I’m commending you, as the kaichou, for doing well.” This made Misaki blush really red in surprise. Tora muses that he said something that is rare for him to say and it seems that it is going to rain soon, not only rain but a storm will quickly come. After Tora left, blushing Misaki asks what happened to Tora for his attitude had changed a lot that she totally doesn’t know what Tora is thinking. She wonders out loud why Tora will suddenly talk about being kaichou type of words. “Right now, he definitely is scheming something!” Usui quietly watches her and says that maybe Tora is saying it quite boldly. “Even though I think that it is better to say it after the school trip..” Then, as a rain drop falls on a leaf, Misaki asks what he is going to say. With a serious look, Usui says, “..Ayuzawa, this is the result of, after thinking about it in all sides of the matter --.. I’ve decided that upon reaching third year, I will transfer to Miyabigaoka.” Misaki looks at him in surprise. Then, it starts to rain as Hinata calls out to Misaki that it is time to go. Misaki mutters, “What.. that is..” Then, back at the girls’ room, they are talking about a girl who used to have a boyfriend during junior high but they break up because their high school is different. Another girl ask why they break up over that. The girl says that grades [difficulty of school work?] and development are different. While Misaki is quietly listening at the side of the wall, they ask the girl if they have gone steady on the third year and she ought to not what to separate upon graduation. The girl says that at first, it is so, but honestly, she isn’t that courageous. Someone exclaims that she is just pushed into it. Someone asks if that is the real reason of breaking up. Sakura says that if one really likes the other and had gone steady, doesn’t one feel that it will naturally become that kind of relationship [of not wanting to part?]. The girl says no, because it isn’t that kind of relationship which allowed that opportunity and courage. [<- not deep enough to want a ‘not in the same school’ relationship?] Then, Sakura notices that Misaki stands up to leave. She asks her where she is going. Misaki says that she fears of the guys doing some bad things so she’ll go patrol a bit.
As Misaki goes down the stairwell, she sees Shizuko below. When she is about to ask what Shizuko is doing there, Misaki is surprised that Shizuko is with Suzuki. Shizuko says that she is only happily talking with him and she’ll go back to her room when it is time for lights out. Blushing Misaki apologizes for interrupting them and quickly bids them goodbye. Then, she hears some people playing jankenpon [rock-scissors-paper game]. It is the three idiots playing it at the stairs. Ryuunosuke wins and the loser Ikuto has to do a belly dance as punishment. Then, Misaki sees Yukimura with some other guys at the vending machines. They tell Yukimura that he got it wrong so they’ll do it for him. They tell him to sleep early. When Misaki asks what happened, Yukimura says that he seems to have caught a cold. Misaki says that it seems that he got wet by the rain and did he drink his medicine. Yukimura says that he’ll be okay for the others are taking care of him. Yukimura gives her a can of shiruko [sweet red-bean soup] which he mistakenly bought. Going with the others, Yukimura bids her good night. While looking out the window, Misaki opens the can to drink it. Then, there is a thunder that surprises Misaki and the lights went off. Because she is surprised, Misaki has spilled the hot contents on herself. Misaki tries to remove her jacket but is having difficulty since there are no emergency lights. Then, she realizes that the floor is carpeted. She thinks that it is really bad and she’ll just have to apologize when the lights are back on. Misaki looks really depressed. Some guys then pass by and talk about wanting to take a bath. Just then, glasses Usui finds Misaki and comments that he is wondering what that sweet smell is. He asks if she spilled it and what is she doing. He is surprised when flustered Misaki says that she cannot [/it’s no good]. Usui holds her arm and leads her into a towel room. Usui says that it is lucky that no one is there and if they are found out, they will be scolded. Giving his jacket to Misaki, topless Usui tells her to change first and he’ll help her wash hers first so just wait for him. Misaki just timidly apologizes. Usui looks thoughtful as he puts the dirtied jacket on the sink and opens the faucet.
Afterwards, Usui says that he doesn’t know if he washed it properly because it is quite dark. While wearing his jacket, Misaki thanks him. Misaki asks him what happened to his shirt. It seems that it is only now Misaki realizes that he is topless. Usui says that there is a bit of situation [so he’s no longer wearing it; it got ripped earlier]. Misaki asks if he’s cold. Sparkling Usui smiles and says that if she come and warms him then he’ll be very happy. Misaki looks dark. Then, Usui sweatdrops since Misaki clenches her fist and starts hitting him. While Usui is saying that it hurts, Misaki exclaims why he conveniently decided to transfer school and he should at least talk it over with her a bit. Even if he plans to tell her, he should choose the time and place again. It is an important thing to transfer school on spring. As he tells her to wait, Usui tries to turn towards her but Misaki tells him not to turn around. She tells him that before, she had always thought as to how she should do it for it to be okay. From the start, she doesn’t know but at least, she knows that if this continues again, it won’t resolve anything. Blushing Misaki hugs Usui from behind and says that she has already properly made herself aware [conscious]. Somewhat flustered Usui calls her name. Misaki calls him an idiot and says, “I’ll warm you up so, only for tonight, let’s be like this –together.” That’s it. So, I’m thinking ah, what just happened? Let’s see, everything is turning okay with zero problems as kaichou then suddenly Usui dropped the bomb of a major decision as if it is no big deal. Masaki is totally shell-shocked then, it finally sink in and it somewhat forces her to be lovey-dovey with him. I cannot put a finger on it but it seems that something is off. Oh well, I guess it is because of their reaction that changing schools doesn’t seem to be a major big deal. Maybe it shouldn’t be because they can always meet at the maid cafe. I wonder if this will make Misaki tell the others what her relationship with Usui is. Ah, I forgot but is the reason for Usui to transfer to that school is because his family wants him to graduate from a prestigious school because he has a high probability of becoming the heir? As for Tora to keep on appearing there, I wonder if it is really a coincidence. ^^; I guess we will have more lovey dovey in the remainder of the trip. ^_^ Hehe, this night together, she says. Is it the whole night? =P I only expect hugs and kisses because as far as I recall, Lala series don't go beyond that. Even if he did a lot of steps to finish it but she unexpectedly didn’t feel it at all. “And also, the ‘hair clip’ I’ve used is the pen that I was going to return to you.” Tsubaki is shock that such a hairstyle can be done just by using one pen. As the man smiles at her, Tsubaki is super amazed for, how could such a simple thing be used to make such a complicated hairstyle and it is even braided. She wonders how it is done. She looks at the man when he asks her if she had cheered up after she now has a more elegant hairstyle. “No matter how sad you are and not being able to see the person whom you want to see, you should also still look at your surroundings and maintain a good mood [/outlook]. With that, one's hairstyle along with one’s mood can become beautiful! *touching Tsubaki’s hair bangs* Compared to a totally messed up hair, right now, you looked more cheered up and happy. If you also move aside your hair bangs, your vision will also open up. It is both important to take care of your outside appearance and your heart [/innermost being]! [Other translation: Your surroundings will then also change. Your outside appearance and heart are interconnected.]” Tsubaki blushes as she is touched by what the man said. Then, to her surprise, the man laughs at himself and exclaims that it seems he just said some amazing philosophical words. The man prepares to leave and exclaims that that it is okay for her to be entranced by him but then, she should stop while she’s ahead. Tsubaki calls out to him and asks if he is a hairstylist. “When you said before about making me a model, were you talking about being a hairstylist’s model..” The man replies, “Ah, didn’t I tell you? *gesturing to the building across the street* I’m the hairstylist of that Parfait store.” Tsubaki blushes over this. The man gives her his business card. It wrote, ‘parfait* stylist Hananoi Hiro’. Hiro is surprised when Tsubaki lets out a sigh. She happily smiles and says, “In the end, a professional is really amazing. In an instant, it really seems like magic.. I totally cannot be at par with you..! *blush* Okay! When I return home, I will properly research on doing a better hairstyle..” After a thought, Hiro smiles and comments that line she said, is about wanting to do that hairstyle herself [/ an expression of wanting to do hairstyles of other people]. He bends down to Tsubaki and says, “Ah.. in the end, I still want you to become my model. *Tsubaki is surprised* If you agree to become my model, I can teach you on the things that you don’t know on how to make that hairstyle. So, what do you think?” Blushing Tsubaki looks surprised over his proposal.
Back at the hospital, Nako in her school uniform is walking at the hallway. She notices something that she went to the toilet to fix her hair. At the hospital ward, Nako is quite nervous. But after taking a deep breath, she opens the curtains of a cubicle and says, “Long time no see! How are you feeling?” She is shock to see that there are three nurses who are attending to Kyouta as they give him a sponge bath. The nurse who is giving Kyouta a drink of water tells him that it is indeed amazing that how Kyouta is doing his best during rehab but then, what he is doing is too much that he should rest a bit. “Today, you are not to do any rehabilitation~~ if you break this order, I’m going to punish you ♡” One of the nurses asks if he wants her to wipe him anywhere and it is okay even inside his underwear. Kyouta tells them that he’ll wipe himself. The flirty nurse tells him not to be polite for this is her job ♡♡. Later on, Nako happily shows Kyouta the latest data on research about the usability of CNT [carbon nanotubes] so it is now one step further in making space elevators a reality. Kyouta calls out to Nako and says, “Didn’t I tell you not to come here again? *Nako looks flustered* I also don’t need that data.” Putting down the papers, Nako asks if it is because he is concerned about Tsubaki’s feelings again. Waving her hand and sighing, Nako says, “About that, the one who told me that you are in the hospital is Hibino. Even if I come, she also won’t mind.” Kyouta tells her that it is impossible for Tsubaki not to mind. He smiles and says, “Because Tsubaki really loves me. *Nako goes ‘eh’ experession* Right now, because of a misunderstanding, she’s doing things to the extreme.. *sad smile* When that girl feels really uneasy, I was also cannot do anything.” [The other translation says that there is something that cannot be resolved right now and he doesn’t want to do anything that will make Tsubaki uneasy.] Nako gets angry over that. She stands up and calls Kyouta stupid for refusing to read reports that will be useful for his future and, what is the reason why he had separated from Tsubaki. Kyouta is shock when Nako says that right now, Tsubaki might be relying on some other guy and she might also have already found her future [/dream]. Kyouta becomes dark and angrily mutters that is impossible. “Even if there is, I’ll also eradicate that guy..” This surprises Nako. She changes her stance by saying that it is possible that there is none because lately, at cram school, it feels like Tsubaki is pressuring herself. It is also quite hard for someone who wants to greet Tsubaki.. Kyouta imagines Tsubaki at a loss on her table as she grips her hair in frustration. This made Kyouta hold his broken arm tight.
To Nako’s surprise, Kyouta quickly grabs his clutch and prepares to go out. Nako exclaims where he is going. Kyouta says that he’s going to the rehabilitation room for he should get well quickly. Nako tries to grab him and reminds him of what the nurse said earlier that he shouldn’t force himself. Kyouta pulls her hand off him and says, “There’s no need for you to worry. This has nothing to do with you, Nako.” Nako is trembling from that refusal that she grabs Kyouta’s shirt and pulls him down on the floor. A man who is holding a vase of flowers, is surprised over the thud and the clutch on the floor, outside the curtained cubicle. While she is on top of Kyouta, Nako says that she is very disappointed with him. “When I first met you, we can totally discuss about the space engineering on the same level so I’m very happy. But in the end, you are just a guy who is [easily] influenced by [romantic] love. It’s truly disappointing!! ..why..? only being concerned about Hibino’s issue.. that much.. Even.. even though I also like her for being pure and honest.. [or I like you for doing things as if you’re life depend on it, in the other translation] but.. compared to her, I’m.. someone, who also likes the same kind of expertise, and shares the same goal as you. I have confidence that compared to Hibino, I can understand you more..!? If.. I’ve met you before than Hibino, will you pay more attention to me right now..?” Kyouta didn’t reply. When Nako bends down to kiss him, Kyouta says, “If you met me earlier than Tsubaki, Nako, you will only be a person whom I’ll wager against [in a game and it will be over/] and nothing more..?” Flustered Nako sits up and covers her mouth. She asks, “Wa..ger..?” Kyouta continues to say, “I would have simply prolonged that senseless game of ‘capturing a nice girl’ and in case, the girl falls for me, then I would have won and afterwards, I will immediately abandon her.”
Nako asks what that is and could it be that he did that.. To her surprise, Kyouta says, “At first, Tsubaki is also someone whom I came close to, with the thoughts of playing this gamble. But she is different because the game with that girl, just won’t end. No matter what I do, I cannot change that girl’s persistence. That way, she always made me happy and I couldn’t bear for it [the game] to continue.. Always until one day, when I’ve noticed that she’s isn’t at my side, I unexpectedly can no longer part from her..” [Other translation: She fails at grasping the main point and is also very direct that she saved me numerous times. Without that girl, I would have always until now, be that awful.] Kyouta smiles and says, “So, in this life.. it is enough to only have Tsubaki.” [Other translation: “It will do.. only if I’m with Tsubaki.”] Then at the hallway, the nurses are surprised that Kyouta is heading back to the rehabilitation room. They mutter that they had obviously forbidden him to go today. As Nako sits at the empty cubicle, she hears the nurse calling out to Kyouta about being punished. Nako cries and wonders if those two can just momentarily separate. [Other translation: For now, she cannot do anything.] Putting the research paper on the bed with a note, Nako says, “So, [romantic] love-whatever is really idiotic. It’s only a waste of time but.. even if it is so, I still think that to like each other.. is really good! *sadly smiles* I am also pretty much an idiotic person..” Then, she goes out of the cubicle. On the note, Nako wrote, “I will still come and bring you some research data! If you don’t want that, then quickly get well and get out of the hospital[, okay]? Nako.” Back at parfait*, Hiro gestures Tsubaki in and says, “Okay, come in, Miss Model.” In her school uniform, somewhat flustered Tsubaki says, “Then.. I’ll be under your care..!”
And so, Tsubaki is on her way to finding her path. Well, it seems to be more like sidetracked since she is more interested in doing that hairstyle than deciding what she wants to do in the future aside from becoming a hairstylist. =P Can’t she really just pick some random college course and do part-time work as a hairstylist? I suddenly thought that maybe Tsubaki just needs to impress her mother on her hairstyling skills. Just look at her mother’s hair. Doesn’t it scream of a need to have some pretty hairstyle? I think that is one way to convince her mother. Currently, Hiro seems like a brother-type mentor who isn’t that interested in Tsubaki romantically. I wonder if it will stay that way. As for Nako, I guess in a way, she is also persistent just like Tsubaki was. If she continues to chase after Kyouta, I think she totally missed the point of what Kyouta just said. For Nako, she feels that she deserves and understands Kyouta more because of their same dreams and goals in life. Being with Kyouta makes her happy since they can talk about the same topic. It is different for Tsubaki because Tsubaki is a totally selfless girl who is willing to give up everything for Kyouta. Everything is FOR Kyouta regardless of anything. It’s nice that Tsubaki’s hard work and everything paid off because she has totally won Kyouta’s heart and it won’t waver for any other girl. He had realized how valuable Tsubaki is and of course, there will be no other girl like Tsubaki. Also, about Tsubaki, it seems that she is misunderstanding something. She seems to believe that until she finds what she wants to do in her life, she cannot see Kyouta. For Kyouta, it seems to be different now because upon hearing how hard up Tsubaki about her problem, he wants to quickly get well and probably go back to her side and help her. Anyway, in that note, I think Nako had partly given up since she also wants him to get well soon in order for him to go back to Tsubaki. Too bad for Nako that she finally fell in love and it is someone who already has a girlfriend. Well, it seems that in their third year, they have new perspectives in life as well as new hairstyles =P Hehe, I wonder if Kyouta will be happy over Tsubaki’s possible new makeover for it will make other guys notice her...finally? A few scans and teaser are out in this site. Colored cover – It’s the king. =P There is some guy who seems to be inciting something to the other people/vampires. On top of the roof, Yuuki is preparing to descend on them and she crashed into the meeting. The leader of the group seems to be freaking out over something that Yuuki wrecked. Meanwhile, Kaien meets with the Queen. The Queen will later on put on her best acting skills to plead something to Yuuki..ya, probably protect me from your brother. Then, it seems that Yuuki is frustrated over something as she angrily hits her bed. There is a short scene of ‘at peace’ looking Kaname. Is that the rose he gave Yuuki before on the table? Or, is he playing chess? It looks like he is talking with someone. The scene goes back to Yuuki who is taking her drugs. Then, Maria seems to be saying something to Yuuki. Volume 14’s cover is the love triangle. Just wait for the scanlations for details and clarifications.

Hm..lots of talk but basically, the guy tricked Tsubaki that there is an insect on her hair. While the guy does something to her hair, Tsubaki is thinking about all the things happened and Kyouta. Then, when the guy made her look on the glass of a store, Tsubaki is surprised at how her hair is prettily made up with flowers on the side. The guy seems to tell her something about outside appearance which affects the inside. Then he laughs at her about something. When the guy is starting to walk away, Tsubaki asks if he is a hair stylist. He points to a glass building named Parfait and says that is his store/where he works. I think it is the same beauty parlor which Tsubaki is looking at before. He gives her a calling card. The English is a bit small but I think his name is Hananoi Hiro. They talk a bit more and I think Hiro offers to teach her. At the hospital, Nako comes to visit Kyouta who is being pampered by nurses =P She shows him about some research paper. Since she seems to be a bit flustered that Kyouta seems ‘happy with Tsubaki’, Nako starts saying some things against Tsubaki. This irritated Kyouta that he grabs his clutch and prepares to leave. He seems to have rejected her like their relationship will only be friends or over. This made Nako grab Kyouta and pushes him down on the floor. While sitting on top of Kyouta, she says a lot of things which seems to be against Tsubaki like understanding him more. Nako is about to bend to kiss him but Kyouta suggests a bet. I don’t know what Kyouta said but the scenes are about the past him with those other girls and the him being with Tsubaki. As Kyouta walks at the hallway with his clutch, Nako cries in his cubicle and seems to have come in terms with the rejection..or not since some comments say that she won’t give up. She puts the research paper on the bed with a note. She sadly smiles and leaves. The last scene, it seems that Tsubaki has agreed to Hiro’s proposal. While waiting for that to come out, I’m currently working on a couple of chapters of Ookami-heika no Hanayome. After that, I’ve finished my pending series ^^ Around next week, I’m expecting some Lala series to come out. There are still some series that I usually summarize that aren’t out but I plan to squeeze in a couple more series in my summarizing list. First one is Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun by popular request and the other one is Touran/Tou Lang Merry Rose which I’ll be continuing since chapter 1 which was posted on November 2, 2010. I don’t think I can write them in detail since it is a lot to catch up on. I’m thinking of just breezing through what happened so far and probably a bit detail in the nice scenes. That way, I won’t have any more pending series around next month =P Well, that’s the tentative plan. ^^

Flashback: Yuulin said that she doesn’t remember that she would be using one bed with him. Reishou timidly said that from the start, they slept apart then, Yuulin woke up at the middle of the night. Flashback 2: Yuulin woke up crying and shouting that Reishou thought that she is still drunk. She had shouted for him to properly rest. “Why aren’t you sleeping in the bed?” End flashback 2. Reishou asked her, “Don’t you remember it?” Yuulin gloomily muttered how she could say such strange words. Sparkling Reishou smiled and told her that it is okay for Yuulin quickly fell asleep and he also slept soundly because he is already tired. Yuulin wondered if just like that, it is alright. End flashback. Flustered Yuulin thinks that even if Reishou obviously said that but she has to calm down for Reishou is obviously just acting. She also felt embarrassed for getting herself drunk and exposing such a disgraceful behavior. What infuriates her is Reishou is still calmly and can leisurely act the part of a loving couple in harmony. Reishou looks at Yuulin and thinks that it is quite interesting that Yuulin is so agitated, she cannot act as the Princess. Jun can only think that Yuulin is acting foolishly. Yuulin also thinks that it quite rude for him to act unaffected even if he had just slept with an unmarried pure girl. After eating, Reishou tells her that afterwards, he is going to deal with some government matters. “So what about you? Although it is about some government matters, but if you want to come along..” Yuulin looks surprised as she sees Houen at the room in the back, along with some other officials. Yuulin thinks that it is work again and Reishou doesn’t even have a little bit of feeling of wanting to rest. Yuulin tells him that she will go to the onsen-s all by her self. Reishou looks surprised at her. Yuulin thinks that she doesn’t care anymore and if Reishou really likes to work then he can just go ahead and work. Flustered Yuulin holds out a map to Reishou and exclaims, “I have the palace’s map! In this trip, I’m going to take a dip in all 16 onsen-s within this palace! Is there a problem?!” Note says that it is her overwhelming tactic. Still looking surprised, Reishou timidly says no problem at all. Yuulin shouts, “I alone will attain health and beauty! Isn’t it amazing!” Reishou just says, is that so then, gambatte [do your best]. Yuulin is already trembling for her plan isn’t working as she wonders if Reishou doesn’t feel a bit jealous and can’t he get the hint. Note says that Yuulin is really into onsen and for Reishou, it is no big deal for him. Reishou just smiles at her and says is that so, it is quite good then she should enjoy it all to the fullest. Yuulin looks flustered. She leaves and wonders why, when usually he doesn’t like to work. “There are times when I do not know what that guy is thinking.” Later on, Yuulin is walking with some waiting ladies behind her. She thinks that the southeast onsen is quite good for there are flower petals floating about and the view from the window is also very beautiful. “That’s right, maybe if he changes his mind, I can recommend some good onsen-s to him--”
She enters the room and calls out that she’s back. She is surprised to see two waiting ladies around Reishou who turned to look at her. One lady is giving Reishou a cup of tea. The other lady is touching his arm while trying to put on his coat. After they left, Yuulin comments that the waiting ladies there are quite beautiful. Reishou tells her that for him, except for the Princess, the others are just the same. With a somewhat disbelief look, Yuulin stares at him and thinks, ‘Eh--’ Reishou looks a bit nervous and he is puzzled since her reaction isn’t the same as usual. Yuulin looks away and thinks that even if the Wolf King is surrounded by beautiful ladies, he can still act calmly. “So that’s how it is. If it is like this, then I can sufficiently understand his indifference.” Reishou looks at Yuulin who is in deep thought. To her blushing surprise, Reishou holds her hair and asks if she took the fresh flowers bath. “It’s very fragrant that it seems that as if you are like a flower. *smiles* The onsen is really nice but I also would want you to care more about me.” This made Yuulin blush really red that she quickly backs away from him. She shouts that it is useless even if he hinders her, because she is currently in the path of checking out onsen-s. She leaves Reishou who thought that he has been abandoned again. Flustered Yuulin thinks that he obviously was surrounded by beautiful ladies just now, yet he would suddenly do that act. “Geez..that person!” When Jun enters the room, Reishou tells him to call that Roseki guy to change the waiting ladies into those who can work diligently and whose heart is focused on work. Jun says okay. Reishou comments that those ladies are an eyesore and he really detests this place. Elsewhere, Roseki is furious that all the ladies that he has chosen have been removed. He exclaims why it happened and it is definitely because they [waiting ladies] did something wrong. “Useless things, His Majesty is apparently quite angry! Quickly choose some new waiting ladies! Choose the ladies that suits His Majesty’s preference!” Later on, a couple of waiting ladies are talking. One of the ladies ask why this happen when their etiquette and conduct are pretty much perfect. The other lady says that she doesn’t understand either and that girl [Yuulin] can actually become a Princess. “—that’s right, it is definitely that Princess..”
Yuulin tells her waiting ladies that this time around, she wants to go to the northeast onsen-s. A note says that she has really become addicted to onsen-s. The ladies look at her and tell Yuulin that she can do whatever she pleases in the palace. After they withdraw, Yuulin looks a bit puzzled while holding her map. She thinks that before they would always accompany her so is it okay for her to go by herself but then, she has a map so it should be okay. While walking, she finds some waiting ladies. She calls them and asks some directions to the place where she is going but they just walked away. She wonders if they didn’t hear her. Then, Yuulin overhears some laughter. The ladies are gossiping if they heard, that Princess is unexpectedly being doted on by His Majesty and what kind of despicable method did she used on him but then, until when would she be doted on. They giggle again. Yuulin thinks that they are saying bad things to her as the Princess. She finds it strange as to what’s going on for everyone suddenly.. Somewhere else, Yuulin points towards a direction of an onsen and asks the waiting ladies if she can go there. The waiting ladies just bow to her and didn’t reply. Yuulin takes a dip and thinks that it is so quiet. She excuses herself to go to another onsen but the waiting lady just snubs her. She wonders what she did to them. Yuulin just go ahead and quietly enjoy her onsen bath. When she is in a room together with Reishou who is reading something, Yuulin thinks that the ladies treat her normally in front of other people but they snub her when she’s alone. She thinks that it isn’t really a big deal to her so it isn’t necessary to tell Reishou about it. Reishou calls out to her and asks her if her path of checking out all the onsen-s is going smoothly. Yuulin exclaims, “Of course! As a day passes, I’m becoming younger and younger! See, see, even if you regret it, it’s too late!” Reishou just smiles at her and says that’s quite good for he’ll also be happy if she looks cuter. Yuulin is shock over his rection. Later on, Yuulin goes out of the building and thinks that because it is the last few onsen-s left, she had carelessly dipped for a longer time. It seems that she let her emotions affect her decision whenever she thought that these are the last few onsen-s. “His Majesty is really not interested in onsen and I feel that his acting is becoming more exquisite... Honestly, it isn’t good for the heart if we are always together. *remembers Reishou with the waiting ladies* ..but, that guy’s acting is fundamentally very good. *lost in thought* There should be no special meaning to it.. it seems my body feels sluggish..”
Then, she notices Houen passing by. Houen darkly stares at her which irritates Yuulin. Putting on a Princess smile, Yuulin greets him and asks him about work. Houen tartly tells her that it is already at the last phase while she is enjoying the onsen by herself. Yuulin is really angry as she thinks that Houen really doesn’t know how to hide his mood. Houen says that he heard that they went on this trip because of her. “Geez, when the most important thing that you should be doing is to eliminate His Majesty’s tiredness.” This made Yuulin angry and flustered for Houen is accusing her for causing trouble when he doesn’t even know the trouble that she has gone through. “His Majesty won’t rest, I’ve been snubbed by the waiting ladies and even Ryu Houen would say such unpleasant things to me. If I knew earlier, won’t it be better not to come here at all? I fundamentally do not know what His Majesty is thinking. I do not know what will make him happy.” Then, Yuulin looks really ill that Houen asks her if she is alright. She remembers Gen telling her that if it is her, Reishou will think about it. Later on, Yuulin opens her eyes and sees Reishou looking down on her. He calls out her name. This shocks Yuulin for she had realized that she is lying on the sofa with her head on Reishou’s lap. Blushing Yuulin tries to sit up but Reishou stops her from doing so. While Yuulin is confused over what happened, Reishou tells her that because she has been taking baths at the onsen for too long, she fainted. “It is Ryuu Houen who had brought you here.” There is a scene of chibi Houen carrying Yuulin on his shoulder and it seemed that he is having a hard time [because she’s heavy? =P] Yuulin freaks out over fainting from too much onsen. Then, Reishou in wolf mode, asks her why there are no waiting ladies during the time when she is in the onsen. Yuulin looks really frightened since Reishou is angry. She mutters that it is because she is more at ease alone. Reishou quietly looks at her as if he doesn’t believe her. He just says, “Is that so--” Then, he looks surprised when Yuulin tells him that she has been checking out all the onsen because she hopes that later on, Reishou can go and see it when he is free. “Because I think that it is such a waste! Why does His Majesty really hates onsen--”
Before she can finish, Reishou has already started to laugh. He asks her if she really likes onsen. He tells her that since she enjoyed it to the fullest then, there is some value in going there. Yuulin asks him if he really doesn’t like going to this place even if she knows that he isn’t that interested. She thinks, but still to this extent. Reishou smiles at her and tells her that this palace is a favorite place of the former king. The former king is Reishou’s brother from the same father but different mother. His brother doesn’t like to attend to his duties that he would spend the days hanging around with women, drinking wine and eating delicious food. So, this place is built in accordance to the things that his brother likes. “These are the things that do not conform to my interests because I hate seeing some [living in] excess so I have always avoided this place to the point of not wanting to come here. And, upon coming here, I felt a bit uncomfortable so I brought my work here.” Yuulin looks at him and thinks that it is the first time she saw that awkward expression on Reishou. Yuulin timidly apologizes that she did some unnecessary things. Reishou tells her not to show that kind of expression and Yuulin shouldn’t mind it for that is his own reason. “And, if only I’m with you, no matter where, I’ll feel really happy. So, I’m happy that we came here.” Yuulin looks flustered and thinks that there are still a lot of sides of Reishou which she doesn’t know. “So, occasionally we quarrel then later on, we reconcile. Even if it is a little bit, it is okay. I want to know more about him.” Yuulin looks aghast when Reishou says that for the married couple to quarrel is also part of the pleasure in trips. Yuulin wonders if for that reason, Reishou deliberately made her get angry before. Then, in some room, Jun looks at a report and says that the Princess impression [/being bullied] is such a serious problem. And so, after getting drunk, quarrels and a pretty much busy onsen trip, time really flies. Jun tells the Royal couple that they will leave tomorrow morning so tonight, they will hold a huge banquet wherein everyone will participate in. “Because it is a very important banquet, please pay attention in looking your best [and acting in proper conduct].” Yuulin pouts and thinks that a banquet can be quite tiring. Jun tells Reishou that regarding the details of what he told him yesterday, he will report it to him in a little while. Yuulin is puzzled when Reishou is staring at her. Reishou seems to pout then smiles before telling Yuulin to happily enjoy the last onsen. Yuulin says okay.
As she leaves for the two to talk, Yuulin thinks that even on the last day, Reishou is still quite busy. She laments that this trip’s goal is supposed to ‘take advantage of the onsen for His Majesty to rest’ yet it didn’t go smoothly even if he did say that he is happy to be able to come here. She passes by some waiting ladies who continue to snub her. She finds it quite lamentable that the waiting ladies there hate her that they continued to ignore her. They are doing their duties but it is only with her, they would treat with coldness. Yuulin puts the map on the table and thinks, “Forget about that, what’s important is to enjoy the last onsen! I’ll definitely properly enjoy it!” Then, she sees a small x on the map. She wonders what it is since she didn’t notice it before. She decides to ask someone about it. When a couple of waiting ladies are passing by, Yuulin asks them what that x on the map is. The ladies look at her then say that it is a secret spring. “It’s a special onsen. Because one has to go through a mountain path to get there, it isn’t included in the recommended onsen-s.” With sparkling eyes, Yuulin asks if in actuality, one can use it. They say yes. Yuulin happily thinks that she would want to go check it out. While Yuulin walks through some narrow and remote place where she thought that there are no waiting ladies, a couple of waiting ladies had blocked off the entrance with wood planks. They accuse Yuulin of being so full of herself and made the waiting ladies who are attending to His Majesty be changed so many times. They think that it is because Yuulin said something bad about them because she doesn’t want the waiting ladies to be more beautiful than her. They find Yuulin shameless for acting as if nothing is wrong even if they had been snubbing her. “Even if it is her, if she is locked up alone in this place, she should also feel nervous, right. *sarcastic* So please slowly enjoy yourself, Your Highness.” The other lady laughs with her companion. Meanwhile, Yuulin goes in and thinks that from outside, it goes directly into an onsen. She is surprised when someone calls out who is there when he specifically would said that he wanted to be alone for a while. Yuulin turns around and exclaims her apology. While thinking in disbelief that someone else is there first, Yuulin is shock to see that it is Reishou who is in the onsen. Reishou calls out to her and Yuulin is freaking out as she backs to the door. Reishou comments that she is really courageous to peek on him or perhaps she wants to join him. Blushing really red, Yuulin is too busy freaking out over her rudeness as she shouts that she’ll quickly leave. Reishou is surprised when Yuulin is banging the door because it won’t open. “What’s going on!? Is this some sort of trap!?” Reishou tells her to calm down and he’ll quickly go there. Yuulin freaks out even more that Reishou can only timidly sweatdrop.
Soon, Reishou tries to open the door but it won’t open. He says that it seems that something is blocking the door outside and it is such a trouble. Flustered Yuulin exclaims that he doesn’t look troubled at all and the two of them are trapped in there. Reishou smiles at her and tells her that it is okay because someone will quickly go and look for him. This somewhat made Yuulin calm down. Reishou is relieved over that. Then, Yuulin shouts for him to dry himself properly else he’ll catch a cold. Reishou happily smiles at her. Soon, the two are sitting by the onsen while dipping their feet inside. Yuulin says that it is quite unexpected of him to come to this hidden place to enjoy the onsen. Reishou asks if it is really to enjoy for he heard them praising this king’s onsen to the max that he had to find some time to privately go there and enjoy it by himself. Yuulin gloomily thinks that Reishou is so troublesome because he isn’t doing it in accordance to what the people in that palace wanted. [<- I think Reishou doesn’t want the others to know that he did what they are saying.] Reishou asks Yuulin if there is something about the palace that she ought to tell him. Yuulin immediately thought of the waiting ladies. She wonders if it has been exposed that the ladies were snubbing her. “Ah, this thing, should I tell it to him? But then, I don’t think it is such a big issue. Even if being locked up, is a bit suspicious.. and perhaps, they are the ones who did it. Speaking of that, if I tell him about the situation, won’t His Majesty order them like ‘Everyone, please, treat Her Highness properly’? I.. do not want things to become like that.. Actually, as the Princess, I do not have anything of use to show [/display to others], when obviously, this is my job..” Reishou quietly looks at her and asks if she doesn’t want to say it. “Ah, forget it.” Reishou starts walking towards the door. After she recovers from her fright since Reishou went to wolf mode, Yuulin wonders if Reishou is angry and why. Then, the door opens. Jun enters and exclaims that he came to fetch Reishou. He asks if he is alright since the door is messed up in front. While Reishou says that he did well, Jun is shock to see Yuulin standing behind Reishou. While emitting dark chi, Jun asks Yuulin what the heck she is doing in that place. Reishou passes by Jun and tells him to do things as planned and prepare the banquet. Jun just says yes. Yuulin looks puzzled.
At a room, Jun darkly sighs and tells Yuulin that she is obviously being bullied yet how come she doesn’t resist it. Yuulin is shock that she exclaims that he knew, so does His Majesty also know. Jun tells her that he reported it to Reishou. Yuulin is speechless over this. Jun laughs and says that it is quite normal for waiting ladies to be unsatisfied if such a girl as Yuulin is the Princess. Yuulin angrily thinks that he is the one who is ‘hiring’ her to be one. Jun says, “But, the people in this palace, apparently doesn’t know as to whose Princess you are, and this is quite troublesome. Then, let’s start talking about work, Your Highness, Yuulin. *Yuulin looks scared. There are also all sorts of jewelry in boxes in the room* In tonight’s banquet, you are not to talk, and it is okay that you just smile.” At the banquet, Yuulin arrives. The staff of the palace doesn’t quite recognize her because she is beautifully made up and adorned with expensive looking jewelry. While walking, Yuulin wonders what’s going on. While feeling that her head and neck’s jewelries are too heavy, Yuulin wonders how much all of it cost. “Li Jun-sama, what are you planning, I really don’t understand at all.. – ah, forget it, anyway, I’ll just do it according to what he said.” Walking towards Reishou who is already sitting in front, Yuulin sweetly smiles at him and says that she made him wait for her. Looking surprised, Reishou holds out his hand to her and tells her to come to his side. Yuulin finds it weird that Reishou is just quiet when he usually says a lot of unnecessary praises. She becomes tense and wonders if it is because Reishou is angry because she didn’t tell him about the snubbing. It is a bit of a shock for her as she starts to assume that her outfit doesn’t suit her so Reishou didn’t praise her. A couple of waiting ladies are talking about what’s going on for when they returned after some time, Yuulin is gone and she also doesn’t act quite anxious at all. “She shouldn’t know who did that thing, right?” The other lady says that it seems that Yuulin is enjoying the banquet so things should be alright.
Roseki comes in and heaps praises at Yuulin for being beautiful like a goddess so no wonder, His Majesty won’t look at any other girls. Yuulin thinks that Roseki is just saying polite talk. Yet, she blushes when Reishou says that she is a special Princess. “With only her at my side, I can be cured [/at ease]. She is my very important Princess.” While Yuulin continues to blush and Roseki is saying that it is really conjugal love, Reishou stands up and says in wolf mode, “But, when my important Princess, has come into this palace, she would always have a melancholic expression. Does anyone among you know the reason why? *Yuulin and everyone else look really scared* What could have happened, that even if I’ve asked the Princess, she won’t tell me that she would just quietly bear it on her own. *dark smile* But, regarding anyone who hurt her, I do not plan on letting anyone off [from responsibility]. So, does anyone have clues about it?” Everyone continues to look petrified because the Wolf King is angry. Yuulin thinks that a huge portion of the waiting ladies are all involved in the snubbing and Reishou looks so serious that no one would dare say anything. She also thinks that if this isn’t resolved well, everyone will be fired. Thinking that she must stop Reishou, Yuulin quickly stands and goes beside Roseki. Bowing to Reishou, Yuulin tells him that her melancholy isn’t because of that. “And, it is because I’m not used to this trip. And being in a strange place, it has somewhat wearied me down and made me long for the imperial palace. *flustered and tense* When it is obviously because of my willfulness that made Your Majesty accompany me to this place, so I cannot truly say those words-- I thought it is just some small trifle things so I’m sorry for hiding it from you, Your Majesty. Please, forgive me--” Reishou looks at her and tells her to come at his side. Aghast Yuulin says okay. Reishou touches her face and says that she is really kind-hearted. Reishou orders the banquet to continue and treat that incident a while ago as a joke. Shaken Roseki shouts yes. While Yuulin still looks tense, Reishou whispers to her not to be so scared of him and he hopes that she would at least discuss things with him. “Your hair and clothes really suit you.” This made Yuulin blush really red that she thinks, “Th..thi...this Wolf King--!!”
Later on, Yuulin is aghast for it turns out that they earlier planned to get Jun to stop Reishou from getting angry during the banquet. Jun explains that the people in that palace has not break off from the former king’s habits so the goal this time is to give them a lasting deep impression of the ‘Wolf King’ and of course, they aren’t going to fire anyone. “Didn’t I tell you that it is okay for you to just keep quiet?” Yuulin is shock over this for she had once again done things for naught and it is all for nothing that she got all scared. Reishou tries to comfort her as she insists that she was really frightened. Jun sweatdrops and thinks that actually, Reishou is acting very seriously and it made him [Jun] somewhat nervous, so perhaps, it isn’t just an act. Flustered Yuulin tells Reishou to at least, tell her if he is just acting. Reishou laughs and apologizes to her. And afterwards, the staff of the vacation palace privately apologizes to Yuulin. Roseki, along with the other waiting ladies, apologizes to Yuulin and says that he heard everything from the waiting ladies. And so, from snubbing, it has become ‘everyone thanking her’. The two waiting ladies comment that Yuulin is actually strong [to face the Wolf King]. And so, they are now on their way back to the imperial palace. In the carriage, Yuulin sighs and mutters that as compared to the time before they went to that place, she feels more tired now. Reishou happily says that next time, they go back there, it will be more relaxing. “In order to relieve the Princess’ tiredness, we should also occasionally go on an onsen trip.” Yuulin looks aghast and shouts that she thinks that kind of plan won’t go smoothly. Reishou is puzzled by what she meant. And so, the Wolf King and his Princess weren’t able to have a chance to be alone [for lovey-dovey] from start to finish of this onsen trip. Thus, ends the onsen arc. Yuulin really looks beautiful when she is made up and she is really nice to cover for those waiting ladies who have been bullying her. Hehe, even if she doesn’t want to admit it, I think she is expecting those praises from Reishou. =P I’m actually surprised that the former king is Reishou’s elder brother for I thought that it is his father. I guess this would explain why Reishou can go in and out of the palace before. He wasn’t the heir apparent. It makes me wonder if his brother has been overthrown or died of natural causes. If it is the former, it could explain why Reishou keeps that scary title of ‘Wolf King’ so that no one would mess around with him and probably, why he isn’t too trustful of people. There are a couple of shorts in volume 4 which involves these two chapters. The first one is Yuulin is shock over her make-over that she cannot believe that it is her. What is more shocking to her is that Jun is the one who did her hair and make-up. Then, the second one, after the onsen, Yuulin timidly thanks Houen for carrying her back. Houen starts to reprimand her for not taking care of herself and causing trouble to His Majesty. If she wants to fully enjoy the onsen, she shouldn’t bath for more than three times a day. She shouldn’t dip into it for too long and she should let her body cool down a bit before going to the next one. If she doesn’t feel well, she is to decrease the number of times she baths. When they return, they see Ayu and others standing in front of the classroom. Tomoyo calls out to Maria and says that there is something unbelievable happened because Maria had become famous. Yuusuke nervously looks at Maria who is displeased. At a laptop, Tomoyo shows them of the video of Maria singing at the airport. Tomoyo says that she is interested in watching all sorts of videos [youtube] and she stumbled upon it yesterday. Yuusuke exclaims that it is the one that he uploaded. He looks nervous when Maria glares at him and asks if it is his doing. Tomoyo tells Maria that it is a popular video and there are a lot of discussion and comments about it from overseas. Maria perks up when she mentioned overseas. Tomoyo says that people around the world are interconnected in the internet. Ayu is amazed by it. Tomoyo says that the video is a bit blurry and the face is small that one cannot be sure that it is Maria so Yuusuke probably took it using his cellphone. Maria asks Yuusuke if that is why he put it up and only those who knew of her voice will know about it. “Is it because you want my feelings to be transmitted to Meguro?” Yuusuke looks flustered and Shintaro looks surprised. Shintaro asks what Maria is talking about. Maria says that she sang that song for Shin at the airport. It is the feeling of exchanging promise even if she knew that it cannot be transmitted to Shin. ‘I love you.’ Yuusuke tells her that he cannot think of any other method and even if he doesn’t know if Shin would see this video, he still thought that it isn’t really an impossibility. Yuusuke apologizes to Maria for doing this on his own. Shintaro says that Yuusuke treats Shin really well that even if Shin isn’t around, he would unexpectedly still maintain that feeling [/friendship] with Shin. Yuusuke seems touched by what he said. Shintaro pouts that Maria couldn’t forget about Shin and he thought that his chance [to get her] has finally arrived. Yuusuke laughs over this and says that even if he doesn’t do anything, Shin and Maria are one heart and one mind. Somewhat blushing Maria thinks that Yuusuke who smiles at her and everyone else who are always encouraging her, she wants to do something for them.
Maria tells Yuusuke that didn’t he always say that he wants them to do something together. It is okay even if it is purely a game, so how about they think of something that they can do together. “This time, it won’t be only me. How about doing something that all of us can create for Meguro and the others to see? Music is okay or anything else. How about we use a way to express our ‘now’?” On a no school day, Maria and others are standing in front of a tree. Ayu exclaims why it is a music PV and the song is ‘Under the big Chestnut tree’. Maria asks her if she has forgotten, that is the first song they sang at the karaoke though this tree is a bit too big. Ayu sweatdrops and tells her that they were bullying her then. Ayu freaks out when Maria tells her that she even made a mask of the sun. Tomoyo exclaims that won’t do for if it is chestnut, they have to make it cute. Tomoyo starts ordering the boys to buy some cardboard and art materials. After the boys left, Maria suggests that they harmonize without accompaniment. Tomoyo thinks that it is a good idea. Ayu is clueless over what Maria is talking about so Maria tells her that she’ll demonstrate and Ayu can sing the main song. Ayu protests that she cannot do it and she isn’t like Maria who can just easily sing whenever she wants since she is an ordinary person. Maria says is that so, then she’ll sing first and they can join the song whenever they want. Maria starts singing then, Tomoyo joins in. Then, Ayu ends up shouting the song. They ended up laughing over it and Ayu seems to say that is quite good. Maria had suddenly thought that during the choir competition, everyone would tell her that ‘you can’t stop singing’. “Hey, Meguro, if you ask me, perhaps, it is through singing, one can make people show a smile. Perhaps, through singing, I can create my circle [of friends].” Soon, the boys come back with the materials. Yuusuke looks flustered as he looks at Maria then he suddenly blurts out to her to let him take a lot of her videos. “I, really want to video, the singing Maria.”
Feeling ill, Ayu says that she is going home. Maria goes after her and asks what’s wrong. Ayu tells her not to mind her. Maria exclaims that she cannot do that and lately, she is in a bad mood so what happened. Ayu exclaims, “That is because you..” She didn’t finish and just thinks, “Because you didn’t answer Yuusuke.” Ayu is surprised when Yuusuke stops Maria and says not to forcibly dig into the matters of the heart of others and also, since they are in this place, this will just make it hard for Ayu to speak up. Maria agrees with Yuusuke so she apologizes to Ayu. Ayu says that it is alright. Maria still looks concerned. Ayu thinks that she is infuriated that Maria didn’t answer Yuusuke but then, she will be really infuriated if they mutually like each other. “It’s like being an idiot. Whether it is Yuusuke or me, both are idiots. Even if it is obvious that there is no result, [we] still cannot stop liking.” At school’s toilet, Ayu is putting her make-up when Maria comes in and says that she has been looking for her. Ayu is speechless because Maria would specially come and look for her just to tell her to submit the ‘career aspiration’ form or else the teacher is angry. While she continues to put her lipstick on, Ayu says about aspiration, it is difficult to decide on that. She assumes out loud that Maria would go to college while Yuusuke and Tomoyo would definitely have not.. Maria says that she doesn’t know what the other two decided but she won’t be going to college. This made Ayu put the lipstick out of her lips in surprise. Ayu turns around and exclaims why, when Maria is obviously intelligent. Maria tells her that she wants to go to work and earn some money which she would give to John and her grandfather. Then, on her free time, she would want to sing and if it is possible, she would want to occasionally meet with everyone and like before, they would make a PV together with the others. There is a scene of Maria and others singing in what seems to be tomato costumes with Yuusuke filming them on a video camera. Flustered Ayu asks if she decided on that so that Shin can hear her sing. Maria didn’t answer. Ayu asks if she doesn’t feel shameless since this will make Yuusuke always video her. “I will tell you what I wanted to say before.. Since you do not like Yuusuke, then do not stay at his side anymore!” Maria just looks at her and says, “You do not have the right to say that. It is an arrogant mistake to make oneself to take the initiative to leave just because one doesn’t return the feelings of the other. If it isn’t something that Yuusuke himself decided, I would want to become Kanda’s friend. Even you, do not want to be told such words by Kanda, right? ‘I cannot like you, so let’s separate.’, those kind of words.” This made Ayu really flustered and angry. She raises up her hand to slap Maria but she stops midway. Ayu starts crying then runs off.
After Ayu left, Maria wonders to herself as to why she used those kinds of words. She accidentally touches her cross necklace then, she looks determined. Meanwhile, Ayu is fighting off her tears as she thinks that she really hates Maria and why does Yuusuke likes that kind of girl..who can honestly say things as they are in reality. When she is passing by the stairwell, Yuusuke calls out to her and asks her where she is going because classes are about to start. He is surprised to see Ayu crying when she turned to look at him. This made Ayu quickly run away again. She thinks that it is the same when she first met Maria. Maria would criticize the other yet in contrary, she doesn’t want to hurt the other person. No matter how Maria is attacked, she won’t fall down. Even if she is hurt, Maria won’t explain to protect herself. “I want to become that kind of person.” Maria rushes to the classroom and calls out to Ayu. Tomoyo tells her that Ayu hasn’t returned from the toilet. Maria says okay and thanks. When Maria prepares to leave, Tomoyo asks her where she is going for classes are about to start. Maria exclaims that it is necessary for her to find Ayu right now and she doesn’t want Ayu to be dropped off from her circle [of friends]. Tomoyo follows Maria outside and asks her what happened to Ayu and the teacher is coming soon. Maria tells her that she has to apologize to Ayu since she said too much [/something cruel] to Ayu. Tomoyo looks flustered and thinks that people can change. Maria asks Tomoyo of the place where Ayu might be located. Tomoyo tells her to check the toilet for usually she’ll go there to put on her make-up. Maria says no for Ayu just came out from the toilet. Tomoyo suggests that she might be in the audio-video classroom because Ayu would usually watch the PV, using the computer on her own. Tomoyo also suggests some other places where Ayu might go like behind the school. Tomoyo thinks that it is like a dream wherein Maria is flustered after a quarrel, and she [Tomoyo] is guessing where Ayu is, because their relationship before is quite bad. Maria thanks Tomoyo for her suggestions. Tomoyo asks Maria what happened and did Maria said any hurtful words. Maria says no for they quarreled regarding Yuusuke. Tomoyo is surprised and asks if Ayu still likes Yuusuke. Tomoyo is surprised when Maria said that she cannot tell her. Tomoyo asks why. Maria tells her that no, because it is Ayu’s feelings and what she told Ayu cannot be told to a third person. Tomoyo just says is that so. Tomoyo thinks that it seems that their relationship isn’t as good as she imagined it to be.
Maria peeks in the AV room, but Ayu wasn’t there. Tomoyo lamely says ya. This made Maria ask what’s wrong with her. Tomoyo looks flustered. She just nervously smiles and tells Maria that Ayu might not be behind the school because she also doesn’t quite know Ayu and she is after all, a third person. This made Maria look at her in surprise. Yuusuke calls out to Maria and says that it’s good that he found her and things are bad. The two girls look surprised. Maria asks him what he is doing in this place. She is looking at the ‘female toilet’ sign. This made Yuusuke blush and exclaims, no, even if he doesn’t know what happened but it is a misunderstanding, it isn’t that. He tells them that Ayu had cooped herself in there. He had followed her there because Ayu is crying. “But, she locked in and won’t say anything. Could it be that she isn’t feeling good?” Tomoyo is surprised when Maria suddenly shouts for Ayu to open the door. Maria apologizes for what she said which is quite cruel. Ayu says that Maria also knew that those words were cruel. She adds that Maria reacted instantly and unrestrained that she thought that Maria is a person who doesn’t have feelings. Tomoyo tries to ask Ayu what Maria said but Maria tells Ayu that she is really insensitive but it is impossible not to have feelings. “I know that I had deeply hurt you..” Ayu shouts that she’s lying for she doesn’t know. Maria tells Ayu to open the door because she wants to talk with her. Ayu shouts that she won’t and she hates her the most. This surprises the two girls. Maria looks a bit flustered. Tomoyo feels ill and her stomach hurts. Yuusuke is surprised when Maria suddenly backs away. To everyone’s surprise, Maria suddenly rams the door with her shoulder. Ayu exclaims what she is doing. Yuusuke and Tomoyo try to stop Maria from doing such a reckless thing else she hurt herself. Ayu calls Maria stupid and shouts for her to stop. Maria rams the door again and shouts that she won’t stop until that door gives way. Tomoyo tells Maria to stop else she’ll be more hated by Ayu. Maria didn’t listen as she keeps on hitting the door and shouting for Ayu to open it. While the Maria is shouting for Ayu to open the door and Ayu shouting back that Maria not to care about her, Tomoyo looks really tense because yesterday, their relationship had been quite good yet suddenly they are getting rid of each other and their relationship became nothing. She begins to wonder if she is the only one who thought that they are all friends.
Suddenly, the door opens. Ayu looks frightened as Maria is breathing hard and looking at her. Maria’s right arm is bad bruised. Maria tells Ayu how could she not care. “Even if you hate me, I still like you!” This surprises the flustered Ayu that she asks what Maria just said. Maria tells her that she likes his stubbornness and her candid jealousy. Ayu backs away and asks what Maria is saying, is she mocking her and she likes jealousy. Maria exclaims that she likes Ayu who notices other people’s strong points and frankly says it [to others]. Ayu nervously says that she is stupid and ugly. Maria says that she likes Ayu who is always attentive with appearances and doing her best to fix herself up. “I like that you secretly do your best and do not show that off! And you still sincerely wishes the happiness of person you like. Also, you are quite absorbed regarding love. Those sides of you are very cute, I really like..!” Ayu is blushing really red. She looks down and says that even if Maria said that, she also won’t be happy. Tomoyo thinks that it is a must to convey one’s feelings to the other and that is what Maria has always been doing, and that is what made them change and naturally form a ‘circle’ [of friends] which cannot be broken. They are surprised when Tomoyo says that she, too, really likes Ayu and Maria. “I.. was able to become friends with you, and it made me really, really happy..” The two girls are touched by what Tomoyo said. Then, Tomoyo covers her mouth and vomits. The girls ask her what happened. Tomoyo sweatdrops and says that her stomach hurts because she’s very nervous. Maria asks if it is because they quarreled. Ayu tells Tomoyo to go to the sink where she can properly vomit. When Yuusuke is about to say something, Ayu tells him not to come near and let the girls handle it. Soon, Yuusuke finds himself outside the door and the toilet’s door is slammed shut.
As Tomoyo vomits on the sink, Maria asks, “Tomoyo are you alright.” Ayu tells Tomoyo not to scare them. Tomoyo apologizes to Maria for dirtying her uniform. Maria tells her not to mind it for it is just a small thing which can be washed. Ayu grabs Maria to her and tells her that it won’t wash off [if she doesn’t do it now] and Maria doesn’t have any common sense. While Ayu is wiping Maria with a handkerchief, Maria says, “Tha.. thank you, Ayu..” Ayu says that she is obviously immersed in her unrequited love yet thanks to Tomoyo, her attention has been diverted and she can really ease the mood. “And, the two of you even confessed, how can I even still be angry!” While the girls blush and look at Ayu who asks what it is, Tomoyo thinks that they continue to change and will do so in the future whether it is themselves or their relationship with everyone else. Teary-eyed, Tomoyo asks Maria if she noticed it, she just called them ‘Tomoyo’ and ‘Ayu’. “Can I also call you that way? Call you Maria..” Maria blushes over this and Ayu says that she wants to do that, too. Tomoyo thinks that they will change towards a more beautiful direction. Ayu laughs after exclaiming for Maria not to be shy. Yuusuke, who is standing outside, hears the laughter. Then, he smiles. And, this arc is about friends and the future. It doesn’t really solve Ayu’s unrequited love for Yuusuke and jealousy towards Maria but still, they are all friends which will probably become a more important bond for them. As for the future, I think Yuusuke will end up as some sort of music director. The other two girls might sing part time with Maria. And of course, their group will be complete when Shin comes back, with his hand fixed.

Meanwhile, Ritsuki dreams of when he is young. He felt hot, unwell and in pain. He called out who would come and save him. Some kids were looking down on him. A boy exclaimed that he is very filthy and he’s only skin and bones. Another one shouted that it cannot be helped and who told him to be poor. The third boy told the others not to care about him [Ritsuki] since his mother said not to go near him because his family is morally bad, and outside, it is called a ‘scandal’. Then, young Ritsuki heard someone calling him. It is his mother. He told her no, [do not come near] else she’ll also get sick. “If you don’t properly rest..” His mother touched his face and apologized to him. She hugged him tight and kept on apologizing. “Sorry.. for bringing you into this world, I’m really sorry..” End Dream. Ritsuki immediately sits up in surprise. Holding his head, he mutters that it was a dream and he fell asleep. While he is complaining of his headache, Ritsuki looks at the side and sees Towako sleeping at the side bed. Ritsuki is totally puzzled then he notices a handkerchief by the bed. Flustered Ritsuki looks at Towako and holds out his hand to touch her. Then, it is 5am. Towako promptly wakes up and looks up. It surprises Ritsuki that he blushes really red. Ritsuki quickly backs away from her. Towako says that it is already morning and she fell asleep there. She asks him if he is okay. Ritsuki is blushing really red and looks nervous. Towako says that his face is really red so it seems that the fever hasn’t subsided. “If you don’t properly rest..” Ritsuki quickly hides underneath the blanket and shouts that she’s noisy to death. “What... what are you doing! What happen to the ropes?!” Towako pouts for calling her noisy but then, forget it. She tells him that she had unbound herself from the ropes. Ritsuki shouts why she didn’t escape. Towako says that of course because she took care of him. This surprises Ritsuki. Towako sweatdrops and thinks that actually, she planned to escape but the door won’t open since a password is needed. She cannot escape through the window for if she went out, she’ll be dead. Her cellphone is also in the safe deposit box which also needs a password. Flustered Ritsuki tells her that he would just let his fever run its course [/let it be]. “Didn’t you think of it? If I died, the plan would have ended. The Godaimeika would have been restored back [to its original state]. Or maybe, you plan to reform me?”
Shaking in anger, Towako asks what he is talking about. Towako angrily tosses him out of the bed and shouts, “What do you mean by what you’ve just said--! *Ritsuki is sweatdropping while sitting at the side of the floor* I didn’t think that much! For a person who is self-centered and awful like you, I also thought of leaving you and just quickly go home! But! But.. for my eyes to see you in pain, my mind came out with, ‘It is necessary that I help him’ ‘I want to help him’ kind of thoughts. Isn’t it very strange!?” Ritsuki blushes and looks at angry Towako in surprise. Then, Towako realizes something. Ritsuki is speechless when Towako says that is enough and starts fixing his bed. She apologizes for messing up his bed. While Ritsuki is sitting on the bed, Towako tells him that she is going to prepare some hot water so he should properly lie down [and rest]. She also reminds him to put that [wet] handkerchief on his forehead. Blushing Ritsuki just looks at her as she leaves. Then, some ‘beep beep’ sound can be heard. Ritsuki had opened the safety deposit box. He takes out his cellphone. While lying on bed and holding the handkerchief on his head, Ritsuki calls Kyousuke and apologizes [for not calling] since he had fallen asleep. While saying ‘ya ya’ to Kyousuke, Ritsuki somewhat smiles upon hearing Towako shouting in surprise [‘ah~~ ah!’] over some things. Ritsuki remembers all the past scenes with Towako. He says, “Kyousuke, I’m a bit angry and also I’m a bit worried. Perhaps, that girl is right, what she said is correct. The reason why it stayed in my mind is perhaps because that girl said my innermost thoughts [/feelings] *He remembers Towako saying that she wants to help him. Ritsuki smiles.* --Kyousuke, I..perhaps, have fallen for that girl.” Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Towako is in a pinch because she couldn’t find any ingredients and there are only frozen food which she doesn’t know how to cook.
So, can love cure a bored guy and a cold-hearted guy? One could say that Mioko is going for a martyr wife-type or to always have an unrequited love with one’s own husband. I guess she doesn’t really have much to lose for what she planned to do like killing him, and divorcing him will just put her in a much difficult situation. It won’t be easy but then, if she manages to pull it off, it will be good for everyone. I wonder if she ought to reinvent herself in a way to make Kyousuke find her interesting. I think the outcome will make Mioko a stronger person. Well, for the other guy, Towako is already getting to him but..ah, she’s married so I don’t think it is good if he has fallen hard for her. Ritsuki’s reactions are pretty amusing here and he dropped that ‘evil look’. I find it funny when Towako who tossed him out of bed. =P Since she cannot escape anyway, I guess Towako decides to nurse Ritsuki. Since she purely just wants to help him without anything in exchange, it can somehow melt Ritsuki’s heart. I wonder if Towako can cook the frozen food successfully. Wow..I guessed it right. White Rose vs Black Rose is all an act. =P In brief, Anis shouts at Yokuto about Ella but Yokuto is more interested in Mutsuki vs Tenjoh. The two roses fight each other and Tenjoh gets the upper hand. They fight a lot again and it seems that it is affecting Anis because they are using her blood. Then, Yokuto summons his monster devils to fight against Kaede whom he seems to belittle even if Kaede is in his Second Awakening. Then, Tenjoh manages to pin Mutsuki with his ‘seals’ and it seems that he is going to remove the collar. They freeze when Anis shouted something since she misunderstood it as some BL scene. ^^;; It seems to have distracted Kaede so Yokuto goes to attack Tenjoh. I think because he’s jealous? ^^; To Yokuto’s surprise, Mutsuki saves Tenjoh. They team up against Yokuto to seal him. Then, there is a scene of Mutsuki with Anis, probably assuring her of something. Kaede grudgingly elbows Mutsuki = friends again. Then, Mutsuki’s collar is activated that it sprouts mini scythes/sickle but Mutsuki rips it away from him before it does any major damage. Yokuto is furious as he escapes from the seal[?]. So, it is 3 Roses vs 1 Fake Rose and it seems the fighting is taking a toll on Anis. That’s it. Scans by yingnam for BW. [Free Talk: Hehe, so the thing that is supposed to keep me busy today got postponed and contrary to what I thought, I managed to finish this chapter fast. ^^;]
Punishment 32: Fantasgolia. In some place where there is a huge machinery device, Yokuto is telling Mutsuki that not much blood had been collected and it is still a long way from being enough to draw out the Arcana cards. Seriously looking Mutsuki thinks that, this is the device that created this kekkai [/barrier]. Yokuto whines as to what that Fake Rose Princess has been doing. Looking at his brother, Mutsuki asks if in the end, if the Fake Dominion isn’t around, Yokuto cannot use his magic. Yokuto laughs and says that it is really such an irritating thing but soon, that problem will be resolved. “Kuesu, wait until you get hold of the Rose Princess, break the seal, and the devil’s power will enter the body. The world will turn back and return to darkness-- our Dark Stalker’s world.” Mutsuki asks him why he has to be the one to attain it for won’t it be better if Yokuto himself take hold of it. Yokuto suddenly puts his monster hand on Mutsuki’s mouth and slams him on to the machine. With a cold look in his eyes, Yokuto says, “Because I love you! Understand? Surely you know, right? That necklace.. if you betray me, it will turn into a thousand pieces of [knife] blades which will rip your neck apart.” Mutsuki looks somewhat sad that Yokuto is already not his brother from before. Suddenly, Mutsuki is surprised by something he felt. The scene changes to Seiran who is holding on to Idel. He also looks surprised and says that it is such a strong resonance, could it be Anis. Back to Anis and the others, Anis grabs Kaede’s collar and says, “Kaede..! Awaken.” Then, she kisses him. Kaede looks surprised at her and mutters her name. Tenjoh looks visibly shocked while Ella and Shiden [Edit: Thanks c0de_da1sy for the correction of the name's typo ^^] just look on. Anis scolds Kaede for being stupid since he is senselessly wasting time on trivial matters. “Awaken, my Knight.” While Anis thinks about removing his perplexity, there is a rose tattoo on Kaede’s chest. Anis seems surprised for Kaede seems to be resisting those thorny vines that encircle him as he goes to his First Awakening. He holds her arms and exclaims if he is only a Rose Knight to her. Flustered Anis shouts for him not to ask such a troublesome question right now. “I only do not want to see you hurt..! No matter what it is, is fine, you’re not allowed to die! This is an order--” This irritates Kaede that he shouts that it’s too annoying that it is an order for a ‘Rose Knight’. He suddenly pulls Anis to him and kisses her. “I’m only an ordinary guy who wants to protect you.”
Anis blushes in surprise over what he did. While letting the magic work on Kaede, Anis thinks about liberating the heart from troublesome titles, be bound by [her] thorny vines, such heavy bonds, “Very good, Red Rose’s Second Awakening.” [<- not sure if it is Anis or Kaede who is thinking all that ^^;] Kaede’s katana turned into a Western type sword with spikes/’thorns’ at the side. Holding out his new sword, Kaede thinks that he will defend and protect everything. While Tenjoh is still shock over the Second Awakening, Anis shouts for Kaede to go. Ella calls out to Shiden and tells her that it won’t do, he should use ‘her’. Shiden shouts for her not to come near. While Ella looks surprised, Shiden drops the scythe behind him. While fighting head on against Kaede with his water powers, Shiden says that his confusion also ends there, sacrifice for a girl’s ‘wish’. He thinks, “Miss Mikage..I.. I.. [regard] you..” [<- usually used for love confession] Shiden’s eye patch falls off and he disappears. They are all surprise when Shiden vanishes and wonder if he turned into water. Taking back the scythe, Ella says no, he turned into ash. “..such a foolish man.. if you were to use ‘me’, then you wouldn’t have lost... leaving me all alone by myself...” Anis worriedly calls out to Ella. As the blood bubbles burst, Ella says that she, too, has already.. To Ella’s surprise, Anis catches her before she falls and tells her to hang in there. Anis says that the Violet Rose said that it is her ‘wish’. Ella says, “..my ‘wish’--.. (I still remember that small incident, Shiden.) *gesturing to Anis* I want to become you, my most beloved Anis. (In order to become a real girl. Going to school, talking and laughing with friends, and at my side, is the guy whom I like. Yesterday, tomorrow and also the future, even if passing through such identical days- it is a life which I specially longed for--) But I’m a Fake..” Anis exclaims what about it since they are fundamentally different. “But, because we are not the same, that we can become friends, right?” Ella looks surprised. Anis tells her to hang on and she’ll call Tenjoh. Ella holds Anis’ face towards her and says, “Thank you.. Anis, in the end, I still like you.. *kisses Anis* (Thank you for genuinely treating me as a friend.)” While blushing Anis is surprised over the kiss, Ella gently smiles at her. She thinks, “Right this moment, my ‘wish’ has been realized.”
Flashback: A long time ago, in some place, there is a lonely guy who is a specialist hunter of scary devils. [<- referring to Shiden] This famous devil hunter used a huge black half-moon scythe. When he has practically killed all the devils within the country, he hears someone saying, “I..” He looked at his scythe and says, “A voice..?” The man realized that on his blood stained scythe, there is a spirit-type of thing lodged on it. From that formless mass, it has given birth to a spirit of a young girl which became a one and only existence for the lonely man. Then, one day, the two of them met the last devil. The girl spirit said, “I’m afraid. I do not want to repeatedly slash and do any killing stuff anymore..” Because of what the girl said, the man stopped. Then, that devil told the lonely man, “Then, use your left eye as compensation, I will make your ‘wish’ come true.” The end-- End Flashback. Anis is surprised when Ella suddenly vanished, too, leaving behind the scythe. Anis mutters Ella’s name as she is about to take hold of the scythe. Then, some strings take the scythe away from Anis and gives it to Yokuto. Anis is surprised when Yokuto complains of his left eye. She remembers what Ella told her about the left eye as compensation for the devil. With his left eye bleeding and shut, Yokuto holds the scythe and says to forget it, anyway, he already has this. With a crazed smile, Yokuto exclaims, “I only have to get this weapon where the Dominion lodges in, I can independently attain limitless [magic] power--!!” Standing behind Yokuto, Mutsuki repeats that he will get Anis. Just when Kaede is about to go forward, Tenjoh stops him by going in front of him and gestures him to stay back. Tenjoh asks Mutsuki when his tone of voice became that arrogant. Mutsuki mutters Tenjoh’s name. When Kaede is about to tell Tenjoh to move for he wants to fight against Mutsuki, Tenjoh says, “Just because you were kissed by Miss Anis, you are so happily on a high [/elated]. Shut up, stupid dog who attained the Second Awakening.” Kaede grunts as Mutsuki puts up his magic barriers. Looking at Mutsuki, Tenjoh says, “That, is my property, -- I will use my own hands to discipline [/punish him].” Blurb: “White Rose vs Black Rose, betting their pride on this battle!”
Even if everything is so serious, I find some things to be unintentionally funny. When Yokuto slams Mutsuki on the machine, I thought it would be funny if he ends up destroying the machine on impact. =P Then, that blurb about betting one’s pride on the battle, I thought is this Reborn!? ^^;; For me, the impact of Kaede and Anis kiss does seem to somewhat diminish when Ella also kissed Anis then there are those BL hints between Mutsuki x Tenjoh and Mutsuki x Yokuto. ^^; It does seem that the author is playing around here and for a moment, I wonder if there will be other kissing scenes. Stolen kiss here and there..maybe Tenjoh would want to try it, too. Later on, the unkissed ones might complain about not having a kiss from Anis. ^^; Anyway, it does seem that Mutsuki is going along with Yokuto to spy around and hopefully, not just to confirm if Yokuto is a lost cause and to get Anis. He is repeating that like a broken record. That is indeed an interesting question, why would Yokuto want Mutsuki do all this instead of doing it himself? From what Yokuto said, it seems that he just wants to drag Mutsuki down with him. At the end of the chapter, I wonder if Mutsuki and Tenjoh are just ‘acting’. They will be ‘fighting’ but actually Tenjoh is planning to remove the collar so that Mutsuki can tell them where that machine is, without getting his head chopped off. Hehe, if not that, and he meant what he said, maybe Tenjoh wanted to force a Second Awakening for himself. =P Based on what Yokuto said, Kaede, who will likely be his opponent, only has to get that scythe away from Yokuto and he is a weakling already. Just like what I thought, the antagonists are actually ‘good guys’ in a way so I really think that Schwartz has his own reason/wish for what he is doing. Hm..something like reviving Anis’ mother which iirc, hasn’t been mentioned at all. I find it a bit too easy for Ella and Shiden to be ‘dead’ after all that has happened. Anis is too nice to Ella and I wonder if she ever figured out Ella is Mikage. Somehow, I have a feeling that a ‘Mikage’ will still be in school later on. So, I got my wish for Kaede to just to Second Awakening to speed things up but I didn’t expect that two villains will be out of the story at the same time. Then, just toss in a backstory to somewhat pity those two tragic ‘couple’. Finally, I don’t like Kaede’s new sword design just like I don’t like Mutsuki’s collar design. Kaede’s sword does seem like a ‘thorny branch’ that I wonder, could it be that Mutsuki’s second awakening would make his strings like thorny vines..just like Anis? Scans by AMH字幕組

After Chitose happily waved him goodbye, she stops smiling and sits on the floor. She exhales and inhales deeply to calm herself down. While crawling toward the futons [/bed], she thinks that she has calmed down a bit and she should first fix the bed. While tidying the bed, Chitose is happy for Saaya and Shun. “No matter how those two avoid their feelings, even if Yuki is very important, the one Saaya likes is still Akaishi-kun. And, the one that Akaishi-kun likes is Saaya. It will be quite regrettable if they weren’t able to be together. It’s really great that they can finally get out of Misaki’s shadow.. *yawns* Eh? Why would I suddenly.. become quite sleepy? Oh..right.. today, I woke up really early, and last night, I was so nervous that I wasn’t able to sleep well.. Waah! What to do! I’m sleepy.. so sleepy.. I cannot stand it.. *going into the futon* Before.. Yuki-kun comes back, I’ll just take a short nap.. Lucky, I just fixed the bed.. I’ll just sleep a while..” Soon, Chitose is sleeping soundly. Then, Yuki happily comes in that he has finished taking a bath and it felt great. He is surprised to see that Chitose is already asleep. While looking at her, he walks to his own futon. He bends down and looks at her quietly. He smiles and kisses her on the forehead. “Good night.” Meanwhile, Saaya and Shun sit awkwardly in the Shinkansen. Shun is crossing both arms and legs while slightly flustered Saaya’s hands are clasped on her legs. Saaya thanks him for what he did a while ago since she hurt him before, and she thought that he won’t forgive her. “Going back with me.. and saying that you want to be with me.. I’m truly very happy..” This made Shun somewhat flustered and tells her that if he did that, everyone will be happy. “They.. and we.. sincerely love each other mutually. There will be no problem if you only do not rely on Yuki again and live an independent life. I even thought that you cannot be independent throughout your life..”
Flustered Saaya apologizes and says that it is because she is afraid because Shun isn’t a gentle guy like Yuki nor does he understand her like Yuki does. “I’m afraid that even if I’ve gone steady with you.. in the end, I’ll be hated by you.. The ultimate outcome is no good.. so..” Shun exclaims in shock, “What!? You.. It’s just because of that reason that you are holding up everyone!? Are you an idiot!?” This made Saaya exclaim in surprise. To Saaya’s surprise, Shun bluntly tells her that from the start, he felt that her temperament isn’t that good and it isn’t because of that, he came to like her. “What I like is that you are a hard-to-get type of girl. This way, it arouses my desire to conquer [you].” This made Saaya blush as she exclaims who’ll get conquered by him. Shun tells her that it is because of instinct that he liked her, so is it the same with her. Blushing Saaya pauses then says yes. She adds that it seemed that Shun had come to, really like Chitose even if she isn’t his type. Shun says yes, probably since they mutually get along with each other and that innocent naive type can really cure people. Saaya pouts over it so Shun exclaims why she is being difficult when she is the one who brought up the topic. Saaya thinks that Shun did a lot of things that made her jealous. [<- I’m not really sure who thought that, if it’s Saaya or Shun.] Shun holds Saaya’s hand and says, “If you are unhappy [about it] then think of a way to make me more infatuated with you! For example, you are only to gaze at me alone, forever.” Saaya looks at him then tells him that she won’t let herself be conquered by him. Shun tells her that he’ll do it, just wait and see. The two blush as they look at each other. Then, they kiss.
Back at the inn, Chitose wakes up. She mutters that it is already morning and she slept quite comfortably. She looks at the side to see Yuki sleeping beside her. Chitose’s eyes open in shock. While blushing really red, Chitose sits up in surprise. This wakes Yuki up. He smiles and greets her a good morning. Blushing Chitose also greets him back. Yuki sits up and yawns. Later on, Chitose says is that so, she fell asleep like that. Yuki says that she has been sleeping soundly that he didn’t wake her up and soon, he also quickly fell asleep. Chitose asks if they slept in one futon the whole night. Yuki says that from the start, they are sleeping separately but in the end, he still cannot stand to be apart from her.. “So I made my way to your side! *blush smile* Sorry!” This made Chitose’s eyes glitter. She closes them and thinks that he’s so cute that she cannot keep on looking at him. Yuki is puzzled by her reaction. Pulling down the blanket, Chitose tells him that they should change their clothes since their breakfast is at the dining hall. Yuki holds her arm and tells her to wait. “Even if you had just got out of bed.. but, I want to finish saying something that I didn’t get to say last night. *Chitose looks surprised.* Chitose.. Can you be my girlfriend?” Chitose blushes and says, “... okay..” She covers her face for she felt her face is so red. Yuki happily smiles. Chitose thinks, “Yuki-kun’s-- girlfriend.. I.. can finally.. like Yuki-kun..” Yuki looks surprised to see Chitose teary-eyed. He pulls her to him as Chitose continues to cry in happiness and relief. “So even if, starting right now, I would like him more and more, it will also be okay..”
And so, we got our sweet couple on one side and on the other side, is the spicy couple. I admit that the scenes of good night kiss and Yuki confirming that she’ll be his girlfriend are really sweet. I would approve of this couple if only Yuki has more personality. Just being sweet and nice can be quite boring for a lead male character that he is indeed bordering to being spineless and a pushover. ^^; He is like being a ‘comfort zone’ and I unintentionally laugh when Chitose fell asleep as if she is bored to death because of him. =P Yuki does seem to be overly clingy with Chitose that it makes me wonder if they will do it soon. As for the other couple, it is explained why Shun is attracted to Saaya. Given his past history with women who tend to fall all over him easily without him lifting a finger, Shun wants a challenge and that is of course, Saaya. Hm..but then, Chitose isn’t really that easy-to-get either, in a way. Somehow, I feel that Shun and Saaya will have a lot of ‘dog-cat’ fights in the near future. ^^; Since everyone got what they want, I find it strange that this series hasn’t ended yet. There are no more problems, right? Would the author show us more on the lovey-dovey of both couples? It seems unlikely since that will just drag the series. The author obviously didn’t want to drag the series anymore because she suddenly rushed things and we are at this point of the story all of a sudden. ^^; Maybe she had a sudden idea what to do with this series that she quickly resolved those issues to move the plot in a different direction, unless of course, all of that is just a prologue that has gotten way too long. ^^;; Whatever it is, I hope that it will be more unpredictable and natural as compared to what had happened so far unless it will end after a few more chapters. ^^;;; Scans by 17kkmh.com

Then, Soichiroh wakes up and finds an empty bed beside him. He calls out to Sumi. Meanwhile, Sumi has just defeated the moustache guy. The moustache guy exclaims that Sumi is really good then throws money at her. The other guys shout that they want a match against her. Sumi happily takes the money and says that if they lose, they’ll have to pay her. While tucking the money in her kimono, the next contender laughs that lately, he hasn’t lost in shogi matches. Sumi easily beats the guy. Next, it is a beard guy and it is another ‘checkmate’. Holding out her hand, Sumi happily asks the guy to pay up. While the observers are saying that Sumi is amazing and where did she come from, the beard guy is really flustered that he lost. The beard guy started to accuse her of pulling some trick and she is definitely hiding a chess piece inside her body. To Sumi’s surprise, the man pulled open her kimono. Sumi screams. The man shouts that he’ll only believe her if she strips naked. As the other guys start to chant, ‘Strip her naked’, tearful Sumi struggles to get away from the beard guy who tries to strip her. Fortunately, Soichiroh appears and grab hold of the beard guy’s head to stop him. He calls him an idiot for daring to touch his woman. Sumi calls out to her husband. Beard guy asks if Soichiroh wants to be beaten to death. Soichiroh skillfully shows off his karate chop by hitting the side of beard guy’s neck. After looks surprised, beard guy goes down to kiss the floor. Soichiroh grabs Sumi and says that she is going back home with him. While walking, Soichiroh shouts at Sumi he won’t allow her to do that kind of thing again. Sumi protests that she wants to earn lots of money. Soichiroh shouts that those guys a while ago are thinking some very obscene things. Sumi accuses Soichiroh of thinking too much. [<- ^^;;] Soichiroh angrily turns to her and kisses her deeply. Then, Sumi is surprised that Soichiroh is touching her chest. Sumi pulls away and says no, they are outside. He tells her that all the time, he is thinking of pulling her tightly into his embrace. Flustered Sumi apologizes to him. He tells her to wait until morning and he’ll lend some money from his friends. He says that his friends are rich and they’ll definitely help him.
The next morning, Soichiroh goes to someone’s house. His friend apologizes that he doesn’t have any money to lend him. The guy tells him that he has heard that he had abandoned his corporation so for things to reach up to now, Soichiroh even has the face to borrow money. “Don’t daydream too much!” This made Soichiroh flustered that he takes his leave. He runs to another house but the maid says that his master isn’t there. Then, to some other house, Soichiroh asks the man to please lend him some money, and a little bit would do. The man says that he owes Soichiroh a favor and he should help him.. Soichiroh happily asks if he would definitely lend him [some money]. To Soichiroh’s dismay, the man tells him, “But someone said word, ‘Don’t help him [/you]’.” Soichiroh asks who said that. The man apologizes to him and slams the door. Looking aghast, Soichiroh asks, “Could it be..?” At the shack, the kids call out to Sumi that they are hungry. Sumi checks her cooking and says that it will be ready soon. Eisuke tells Sumi that it has been a long time since he ate her vegetable congee. Then, a stern-looking man in a business suit with two men [workers/carpenter-looking guys] enters the house. Eisuke exclaims what they are doing there. The man shouts that this place has already been bought by Ashida Products and right now, they are to leave the premises. Sumi exclaims that they are putting them in a difficult situation. The men didn’t listen to them. The two workers start to carry the cabinet drawer. Eisuke runs to the two men and ask what they are doing but the other guy holds his shoulder and punches him hard. Sumi shouts for her brother who fell on the floor. The man shouts that if he [/they] do not want to be beaten, they should immediately get out. Sumi and the children are frightened as the baby starts to cry. While returning home, Soichiroh sees the men tossing out their cabinets and other furniture into the street. Sumi and the others can only watch helplessly at the side. Soichiroh shouts to the men as to what they are doing. He rushes to Sumi. The man starts hammering some wood planks on the shack’s door [so that they cannot go in anymore] and tells them that house is going to be torn down after two days. Now, Soichiroh joins the others as they can only watch at the man doing his job. With the baby crying, Fuku asks Sumi what will happen from today on. Eisuke cries, why. While the couple looks tense while comforting the crying kids, just across the bridge stands the man who is responsible for it all. Nozomu mutters, “Didn’t I say it before.. I will use no matter what kind of method..” Komai just looks tense while standing behind Nozomu.
Nozomu is within the vicinity and cabinets are thrown out. My thoughts, ‘Geez, see that necklace cross already.’ Hehe..being a pervert, maybe Nozomu would go through those cabinets to get a memento from Sumi. =P It is a nice contrast of poor and rich people here. Even if she is poor, that mother still gave something to Soichiroh as a token of thanks for teaching her kid. Yet, that so-called rich friend would rather protect himself and not help Soichiroh, even a small amount of money. Well, it is during times of difficulties, one will know one’s true friends/allies. Somehow, maybe they are all naive in a way for I seriously doubt that they can raise enough money to buy off the land. Or, could it be that they are thinking that they’ll pay off the rent and everything is okay? I don’t think that they are searching for money to at least rent in some other place. Isn’t it irritating that while Soichiroh is running around the place to get the money, Eisuke is bumming around the house? Then, he asks ‘why’ this happened. ^^; I think it is a matter of time before it happens since they cannot even pay rent. Nozomu just gave it a big push. =P I also cannot help thinking what happened to the food that Sumi is cooking. Hopefully those rough guys didn’t toss it out so that at least they still have lunch. It is indeed quite ruthless to evict people during lunch time. Sumi’s idea of getting money is good but reckless since she went there alone. She should at least get some bodyguards. This chapter confirms Sumi’s cluelessness. A guy tries to strip her and she thinks that they aren’t thinking of violating her or anything. So, there’s no need to be surprised if Sumi still goes alone to see Nozomu. =P She’s really a sheep going to a wolf’s den. ^^; After all this, I think Nozomu should go in for the kill like wiping off that arrogant look and goes to help them by offering them some place to stay. That can win points for him and ease out Soichiroh by slowly winning the kids’ hearts. He can also make Soichiroh look bad and helpless. Anyway, Nozomu seems to be giving Sumi two days to change her mind before she can say goodbye to her house so I wonder if they would still cling on to it or move on. Okay, whichever it is, I think Nozomu won’t stop since he is obsessed with Sumi. After all, he is doing things up to this extend just to get Sumi. I think that it will end if he finally sees that cross and its connection with Sumi. If he does not, maybe he’ll finally stop when he joins his wife at the asylum or he’s dead. On a side note, I really hope Komai has some sort of plan than just standing there, helpless and doing nothing. Scans by rukimaoyou for BW.

For those who want to read Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, I found a blog currently working on it. It is at Kingdom of Fantasia so I might not consider summarizing this series anymore. Well, actually, I planned to start at chapter 28, their second year when the Chinese is out. ^^; Hehe, I really want to finish first my pending series before considering any new series. ^^;; As for Aruitou, it is currently being summarized by Conniemusings. She is also summarizing Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu if you want to read a different version of it. Kanojo wa Uso wo Aishisugiteru 24 is already out at ankemaybe so I won’t be summarizing this chapter anymore. In contrast to KKwH, KwUwA is a harder series for me to summarize so I’m continuing KKwH for now, even if someone else is also doing it.
For this week, it will be Chitose, etc 28..which you might not exactly be happy about if you are a Chitose x Shun fan. Then, Hadashi de Bara wo Fume 45 is also out. Recklessness and they finally got thrown out of their house, courtesy of you know who. Then, it will be back to the pending summaries of those two series until anything new comes out. Akuma to Love Song is actually easy though not that interesting because it is about closure with Maria’s friends. And, it seems that the Chinese scans is missing a chapter ^^; Ookami-heika no Hanayome is the more interesting one but it is a bit harder to do and I’m behind by 5 chapters. I’m really hoping to finish it all before the next archive. So, good luck to me. =P
PS. About the poll, sorry but I couldn’t think of a good question lately that is related to the series so it wasn’t updated. If you have a good one, just tag about it and I’ll consider it. Just check out the poll archive to see the type of questions that I’ve use before. It is usually the type that anyone can answer like ‘do you have seasickness’ which I planned to ask for Reimei no Arcana then thought it might seem too lame. ^^; Also, I don’t post polls about favorite characters/couples anymore because some people might not have read that series. Keigo asks her if she is practicing for something. Embarrassed Kotori tells him that it is nothing and she didn’t know he is there. Kotori then wonders if that kind of problem, would be okay to ask another guy about it since he’ll know as to what Yukito wants to do but then, it isn’t a bit suitable to ask Keigo about it. Her heart beats when she notices Keigo looking at her. Keigo asks her about if she is going to the cultural festival that he mentioned before. Kotori wonders what to do for even if Keigo said that Yukito can come, she felt that she won’t be with Yukito alone for a long period of time [during the festival]. Kotori apologizes to Keigo that she cannot go. In disbelief, Keigo asks if she has already plans. Kotori stammers and says yes, some things. Keigo laments that he is really anticipating that she’ll go. Kotori apologizes to him again. Disappointed Keigo says, is that so. Then, he sits beside Kotori. He asks Kotori if that thing she’s eating is their new product and is it delicious since he hasn’t eaten it yet. Kotori says yeah, it’s very delicious. Sparkling Keigo says, “Then.. *mouth open* ..ah~~” Kotori blushes in surprise over this and asks him what he is doing. Keigo tells her that if she feeds him then he’ll forgive her. This surprises Kotori that she asks why. Keigo urges her to quickly do it. Flustered Kotori tells him that she couldn’t. Keigo teases her that it is okay since it is just one bite. While refusing him, Kotori thinks that if she did that with Keigo, things will become very dangerous. Holding the food to him, Kotori tells Keigo to eat it himself, she’ll give him half of it. Keigo looks at it and seems to refuse [but I think he ends up eating it while Kotori is holding it]. Just then, Kotori freaks out since Yukito comes in the room and sees them. From Yukito’s line of sight, it would seem that Kotori is feeding Keigo.
While walking home, Kotori thinks that Yukito has seen that awkward incident. She looks at Yukito’s direction and tells him that she only wanted to give Keigo half of it and it isn’t like she is feeding him. Yukito tells her that he doesn’t mind it. Kotori doesn’t believe him based on his expression. Yukito says that Keigo is taking advantage of the situation to make her do that for he knows that she won’t take the initiative to do that kind of thing. “I believe in you.” Kotori looks surprised then timidly says yes. Yukito mentally tells himself that he doesn’t mind it for he is a cool-headed guy. He is surprised when he felt a nudge on his sleeve. It is Kotori who then clings on his arm. Yukito blushes over this and thinks that he thought that it is no good but he didn’t expect Kotori to take the initiative to get close to him. “Is this an okay signal!? I don’t know which one is it. But..” Then, to Kotori’s surprise, Yukito tells her that Haruna invited them to her school’s cultural festival and he already agreed to go. Because Kotori is quite surprised, Yukito asks if it isn’t convenient for her. Kotori nervously smiles and says that it is nothing at all. She wonders what to do for she just told Keigo that she won’t go. Yukito is thinking that like this, they will have more time to be alone and it is a good omen. Of course, he can also show off to Keigo. Whereas, Kotori is worried if they are alone for a long time, won’t that weird mood come out again. At home, Kotori is at a daze while holding her pillow tight. Human Ken-ken holds up her chin and asks her what the matter is since she looks depressed. Kotori calls out to him and tells him that she doesn’t know either for the current her, she doesn’t know what she is thinking..maybe it is just her imagination but today, when he [Yukito] touched her chest..
Ken-ken looks dark that Kotori stops and calls out to him. Ken-ken tells her to continue. Ken-ken looks displeased when Kotori tells him that usually, she is happy when Yukito hugs him and her heart would beat fast when he kisses her and there are times when she wants to have another one but when Yukito touched her chest area, it really shocked her. She doesn’t know how to say it but it felt different from usual though she doesn’t really hate it. “I just don’t know what to do. There are times when I specially took the initiative to get close to him, is this strange? I’ve always thought of ‘if I didn’t move, what would Yukito do’ kind of things.. After that thing, I’ve been thinking of wanting to know and not wanting to know..” Ken-ken holds Kotori’s shoulder and takes out a 5 yen coin with a string attach. [<-pendulum] Waving the pendulum [to obviously hypnotize her ^^;], Ken-ken tells her that Yukito did that isn’t because of love but for a different motive. “If you do not know, then it is okay not to know.. forget about that.. You’re becoming sleepy.. You’re becoming sleepy..” Kotori feels drowsy and falls asleep as Ken-ken holds on to her. He tells her that is right, it isn’t necessary for her to know, right now.. While Kotori sleeps, Ken-ken exhales with a lollipop as a replacement for a cigarette and mutters that Kotori is entering the adult stage. Then, there is a scene of Kotori sleeping on the bed with dog Ken-ken beside her. At school, everyone is looking at some cosplay clothes for the cultural festival. Natsume asks Kotori what she plans to wear. Looking at a maid uniform, Kotori says that she is interested in dressing up as a maid. A girl tells her that they have several maid uniforms but since it is quite popular, they should start reserving it. Kotori is surprised when Yukito suddenly puts his arm on her and asks what they are doing. He then says that those uniforms are for the cultural festival. To Yukito’s surprise, Kotori quickly removes his arm around her. The two look at each other. Thinking that she cannot help doing that, Kotori tells him that he suddenly came out that he surprised her. Yukito nervously says is that so, then he apologizes. Kotori asks what he is going to cosplay as. Yukito says that he hasn’t decided on it yet. Feeling that the mood is quite awkward, Kotori suggests that he cosplay as Hikaru. Yukito seems puzzled. Kotori says that is right, since he is black haired now, maybe it suits him to be Sakuraba more. Then, Yukito exclaims that it is that shoujo 2D guy. Kotori sheepishly asks if he knows. Yukito angrily says that he does but since it has been such a long time, he has forgot about it.
Somewhat pleading, Kotori tells him that she said before that Yukito is definitely a match. Flustered Yukito says that he doesn’t. Kotori offers to provide him the outfit. Yukito refuses and tells her that no one knows about that guy and, only she and Natsume knows about Hikaru. They are surprised when someone says that someone else also knows. Gesturing to herself, Harada exclaims that there is one, [<- referring to herself] and what is Yukito saying for that guy is famous so don’t belittle people. Harada starts raving about irresistible Kaoru and tells Yukito that those who hasn’t played the game won’t know how good that game is so why don’t Yukito be nice and cosplay as Kaoru. Yukito exclaims why he has to. Kotori is surprised over this that she asks when Harada started to be so into the Doki Memo game. Suddenly, Harada holds a maid uniform and puts a ‘female ghost’ costume to Kotori. Harada tells her that she’ll have this and Kotori can have that. Kotori is puzzled until a girl tells her that choosing the maid uniform is over. Harada tells Kotori that it has no meaning if a lot of people do maids, Kotori should do the horror cafe by dressing up as a demon/ghost. Kotori cries over this and goes after Harada to decide on it through jankenpon [rock-paper-scissors game]. Yukito just looks at them and thinks that because of Harada, he forgot what he is supposed to do and his feelings are a bit subtle. While holding a flyer, Abe happily calls out to him and tells Yukito to join it. It is a flyer about recruiting volunteers with no qualifications and everyone is okay/can join. It also guarantees that the teacher won’t get angry to a certain degree to whatever they will perform and they are free to choose the number of people for their performance. Abe asks what they will do. Yukito says that it doesn’t concretely said what, is it a band type? Abe happily puts his arm around Yukito and says that’s right, they should do that. Yukito wants to think about it but Abe keeps on insisting that they join. Abe happily tells them that they will become center of attention, popular with girls and Yukito can make his girlfriend see his cool side which will surely make her be infatuated with him. Looking at the flyer, Yukito says, attention, popularity and infatuation? “Of course, I’ll do it, Abe-kun!” Abe also smiles and says, “Right on, Kaji-kun!”
At the restaurant, Kotori laments that the awkwardness is gone but she didn’t expect that is what’s waiting for her in the end – she still lost to Harada. When she enters the lounge, she overhears her coworkers saying that guy is quite handsome and why is she shy about it. Kotori asks them what’s going on. A guy tells Kotori that he is looking at a picture of Haruna’s boyfriend since Keigo always says that he is very handsome so he [guy] wants to verify it. Haruna mutters that Keigo is such a loudmouth. Kotori asks if it is that ‘arrogant looking, do not know what he’s thinking’ boyfriend. Haruna muses that Kotori remembers it quite well. Kotori says that she would also want to see what he looks like. Haruna shows the picture on her cellphone to Kotori. Kotori says that he really looks handsome. Haruna tries to be ‘shy’ that her boyfriend isn’t that handsome to boast about. The guy then asks why that picture seems like a stolen shot if she didn’t mind it. [<- stolen shot so that it won’t seem like she plans to brag about him?] After work, the two Kaji-s are walking home. Kotori mentions about seeing the picture of Haruna’s boyfriend and he is particularly handsome. Yukito says that he would also want to see that guy. Kotori says that they’ll be able to see him when they go to the cultural festival. Yukito says yes, if they went, they’ll be introduced by Haruna. Kotori is relieved because it seems that Yukito isn’t going to invite her to some other place and it would be nice if they can happily talk like this. Then, she hears someone saying to someone to give that to her too because she wants to eat it. Kotori recognizes the voice and sees that it is Haruna together with her boyfriend. Yukito asks if that other guy is Haruna’s boyfriend. Kotori says that he probably is. Yukito says the guy is quite considerate for it seems he went to fetch Haruna. The two Kaji-s blushes when they see Haruna’s boyfriend feeding Haruna with a biscuit. Haruna happily laughs and her boyfriend pulls her hair over her ear. They look at each other’s eyes then kiss. While hugging each other, the two walk away. The two blushing Kaji-s look at the couple in surprise then they look at each other. They blush. Then, they hug each other simultaneously to copy Haruna and her boyfriend. After a pause, the two sweatdrop and say that it seemed that something is off, as if they are just walking arm to arm. “Occasionally resisting, occasionally not, what is this feeling.. *looking at each other* ..still wanting to progress each other’s contact, one more step?”
Yay, Real Kiss’ Mitsuki is in the series ^-^ I hope he has more scenes and well, maybe Haruna and Mitsuki can give some tips for our two love birds. =P Like what I mentioned before, it is always fail when they, especially Yukito tries to force things and it is more successful if they do it naturally. Oh well, it comes with the territory of being awkward with their first time. It seems that Keigo is indeed trying to get as many opportunities with Kotori as he can. I guess he can keep Yukito up on his toes to always treat Kotori well. =P I cannot help but think that Keigo will end up with Harada since he looks like Kaoru. ^^; That Ken-ken part is a bit strange but it is quite amusing..that hypnotize thing. That night, Leo is clasping his hands while sitting down. Lele is looking out the window across to Eros’ apartment. Lele remembers Stanley telling her that before, there are rumors that drugs were injected to Eros and he was thought to have died because of it. She attributes this to the first time which Taylor mentioned a while ago. Leo tearfully asks how things ended up like this for didn’t Eros lived a life like a prince while he is in Sweden so why did he return as a drug addict. What could have happened there? Lele calmly tells him that didn’t he heard, Taylor said that this isn’t the first time and also there is that bullet wound. Lele says that Eros is definitely a guy with a complicated past. Leo angrily asks what she meant by that, does she mean that Eros has fallen into this on his own and how could she be calm during this time. Leo starts crying again that he didn’t thought that Lele is a cold-hearted person, his poor Eros. Lele shouts that he’s annoying and to quit crying for crying wont’ solve the problem. Right now, they should think of a way they can help but they cannot give him any support since Eros doesn’t want others to know about his condition. Leo admits that is true for Eros doesn’t want others to see him in a difficult situation and Lele is going back to France so what can they do for Eros. Should they only just stand at the side and look at him in pain and pretend to not know anything. Leo cries again and says that just thinking of it, pains his heart. Lele tells him that she’ll think of something and until she sees Eros regain his health, she won’t be leaving New York. This surprises Leo. After Eros ate a bit, Taylor asks Eros if he is okay. Eros says yes. He is lying down in bed as Taylor is holding his hand tight while sitting on the chair. Eros thanks him for being there when he needed him the most. Taylor calls him foolish [<- for thanking him for something that he should do]. He tells Eros to just sleep well and he’ll always be there to watch over him. Eros says ya, and tries to sleep. Then, there is a scene of Lele in deep thought/praying while Leo looks at her. At around 230am, Taylor is surprised when Eros starts to call out to his mother. He mutters not to forget that he is also her son and how could she forget about him. “Lele.. I’m.. sorry.. do..not.. hate me. I..” Taylor is surprised over the mention of this Lele.
Soon, it is morning. When Taylor goes out of the apartment, Leo, who didn’t sleep all night, has also gotten out. They look at each other and greet the other a good morning. Leo angrily tells Taylor to teach Eros about mysteriously disappearing without a trace that made everyone worried sick about him. Flustered Leo tells him that it made him rush to Eros’ place yet Eros would tell him to just work with someone else and this made him cry the whole night. Taylor looks tense but he is glad that Leo doesn’t know of Eros’ condition. Taylor pats Leo’s arms and assures him that he will give Eros a properly scolding for doing such a cruel thing. He then asks Leo who is Lele. Leo tells him that it is the girl who is with him yesterday, she is his roommate. Taylor says that it seems that Lele is a model and does Lele also know Eros. Leo says that is right. Taylor asks if they know of each other through work. Leo says not yet but he heard Lele say that they met in Taiwan and met again in Japan when she worked there. He muses out loud that there is a wonderful fate between those two and too bad that they haven’t worked together yet. Leo is surprised when Taylor asks again if they are ‘close’ friends. Leo says that he doesn’t know how to answer that question for Eros has broken Lele’s heart. He tells Taylor that Lele has already released her tension and everyone is still friends. Taylor just says is that so and that’s good. He thinks that Lele is someone special for Eros. Meanwhile, Lele has finished her photo shoot and got a call from that Glenn designer. Lele tells him that she is finished with the shooting. Glenn tells her to come back quickly for there are a lot of projects waiting for her and he designed a fabulous dress for her. Lele tells him that she wants to temporarily stay in New York. He asks if she has really thought of this. Lele says yes. Glenn says that if she has decided then he won’t force her. He adds that he is quite surprised that she would refuse this opportunity to be on top and for her to do that seemed very illogical so can she tell him the reason for it. Lele tells him that a friend needed help and she has no way of just leaving him during this time. Glenn asks if this friend knows what she is sacrificing for him. Lele says that he doesn’t and he doesn’t need to know. “For me, this isn’t a sacrifice but something that I should do. Because I’m very sure, if I leave New York and go to Paris.. I would have really regretted it! Glenn! I’m sorry, and also thank you..” Glenn is speechless as Lele hanged up the phone.
Taylor wakes sleeping Eros up and tells him to eat something. Eros refuses but Taylor tells him to force himself to eat something to regain his strength. While Eros is about to drink a glass of water, Taylor tells him that Berry called and said that there is an emergency at the ranch so he has to go back. Taylor asks Eros if he will be okay alone until he comes back tomorrow night. Eros looks nervous as Taylor tells him that he added an extra lock on the door to prevent him from rushing outside so when he leaves in a little while, he’ll lock the door from outside. He has already prepared food and water so if something happens, Eros should call him on the cellphone immediately. Eros tells him not to care about him anymore, just quickly go home and if he returns again, this will make Berry suspicious. “I’ll be fine by myself.” Taylor holds his hand and tells him not to worry for he told Berry that there is a case wherein the people are not enough so he has to come back and help. “I cannot just leave you all by yourself. Because you are my son!” Eros looks surprised-flustered by this. Soon, Taylor leaves. Eros looks at the prepared food supplies and what seems to be a switch. Meanwhile, Lele is typing something on her laptop while Leo is looking out the window. Then, she and Leo look at each other. Next chapter will be on June 5th. There is no teaser this time around. Hehe, Taylor leaves and Lele gave up work so..I’m guessing, who is going to spend some time with Eros, soon? =P Hopefully, Taylor gives an extra key to Leo/Lele since they can help if something goes wrong and they are very close in the vicinity. If ever Eros learns what Lele did, she would have made herself more endeared to Eros. I guess the author is somewhat asking the question here: Would you choose work over love life/friends who need your help? I guess Lele has been brought up well that she knows her priorities and what one must do. Given Lele’s talent, I think she can work to be on top again when she wants to later on. She also doesn’t seem to be that ambitious for it. Given what she has gone through, Lele is no longer a crybaby and can think over things calmly though it would seem that she’s cold-hearted in Leo’s eyes. In a way, she seems to becoming like her strong mother. ^^

Ah, for those who are waiting for Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu, there is no chapter in the recent issue [May 5th] of Sho-comi. The next chapter should be out May 20th. So..another two weeks wait. ^^; While waiting for any other series’ new chapter/s, I’ll be working on Bokutachi wa Shitte Shimatta 47. It is obviously progressing slowly.. Other than that, there are also some Akuma to Love Song and Ookami-heika no Hanayome chapters left to do. That's more or less the tentative schedule.
Edit: For those who are waiting for The One, as of this writing, there are no scans of it yet but there should be a chapter for this month. It is written in the last chapter..it is partly covered by the watermark in the Chinese scans. Of course, I cannot say for sure either because there is a time when the author didn’t release a chapter when she is supposed to. ^^; There is actually a teaser in the last chapter. It said: Eros had escaped from his father but he has fallen into an addiction because of the drugs. He is resisting the torments by his heart’s demons. In short, he has to battle the withdrawal symptoms of the drugs <- the ones injected to him before. No wonder he is acting weird upon returning home. When she is about to return to France to work, Lele learns about the news regarding Eros and her heart falters once again. So, that’s what we can expect in chapter 77. As for Faster than a Kiss, the ones who were scanlating it in Chinese before seemed to have stopped so I might have to wait for the other Chinese scanlation which is much slower. Of course, I have to hope that someone uploads it, too.
Edit 2: girl801107/Blacknight of BW is currently scanning The One 77. It is almost 11pm here and the scans aren't uploaded yet so, I'll probably do the summary tomorrow.

Izumi is surprised when Miruku and Claris quickly go near her. The glittering two ask Izumi as to how they are going to look for Mei and will they install a monitoring device around the world. To their shock, Izumi smiles and says that they are not going to do anything. Rika says but of course, since it has nothing to do with them. Miruku exclaims that for Mei, that is something very important to her. Fujiko smiles and says that is why. “When Mei really needs us, if we are not here, won’t she be very distressed?” Miruku says that is true but.. Claris asks if they are to idly talk about this, at this time. Izumi tells them that right now, they have not yet verified if it is like what Kento said, that Rihito took Mei by force or Mei went with him voluntarily. Fujiko says that if Mei went with Rihito voluntarily then she doesn’t want to disturb them. Rika tells Fujiko that she is very naive. “As a butler, to forget one’s position and would elope with the ojousama whom he is serving, do you know what the conclusion will be?” Miruku asks Daimon what that conclusion will be. Daimon couldn’t answer her. Nezu says that it will be ‘anywhere’ no standing. “One day, when that butler is found, he will be stripped off his qualifications [/rights] as a butler and he cannot be a butler anymore. Until the end, not only will he be made to bear a large amount of money for compensation, his life afterwards will be thoroughly ruined.. Committing an offense against rich people can be quite terrifying. *smiles* But, the good point is perhaps they can still live a happy life at the lowest layer of society.” Fujiko looks thoughtful. Claris mutters that it’s quite cruel. Rika says that in order to preserve the ‘butler system’, it is only through this. “A butler to do such a foolish thing without having qualms about it, fundamentally cannot be used!” Aoyama looks quiet and thoughtful over that comment.
Izumi says that this is different from the time when Irufan took Mei for this time around, Mei is with Rihito so she doesn’t feel that they shouldn’t worry about Mei’s life [/safety]. Kiba mutters that he hopes that is so. Puzzled Izumi looks at him but Kiba tells her that it is nothing. Leon whispers to Nezu that compared to worrying about life, they should be more worried about Mei’s virginity. Somewhat grinning, Nezu comments that Rihito really makes him surprised. [<- didn’t expect Rihito would..] Leo tells him that this isn’t something to grin about. Nezu just says that things has finally become interesting. While Kento is going out of the building, he remembers his talk with Kintaro. At a room, Kento informed Kintaro via videophone that Mei and Rihito are missing. Kintaro commented that they would unexpectedly do such a thing. Kento told him that it seems that he’s very calm about it. Kintaro asked isn’t such a thing of a butler eloping away with his ojousama common. Kento corrected him that it isn’t an elopement but Rihito forced Mei.. Kintaro said that whichever it is, it is the same for him. He repeated to Kento over his decision, that whoever guy, Mei brings with her in front of him [Kintaro] on her birthday will be her husband, has not changed at all. “But, if it is Rihito, he should not care about those, and perhaps he plans to be like this, running away throughout his life, together with Mei.” Kento asked him if he is going to allow that to happen. Kintaro said that no matter if he allows it or not, he only has three months to live. “The one who won’t allow this to happen is you, Kento, (right).” Still looking serious, Kento said that is right for he cannot allow this kind of thing, he absolutely couldn’t. Kintaro burst into laughter and said that is right, and it will be quite distressing if he [Kento] would allow it because right now, he is Mei’s official reserved fiance. “Hongo family’s funds, organizations, talented people.. you can use them all at will, go all out in pursuing Mei and Rihito!” End flashback. Kento goes out to the helipad where Fei and Xiang are waiting with a helicopter. The two butlers say that from today on, they will be Kento-sama’s subordinates. Kento somewhat smiles and says that he doesn’t trust them but he will make them be of use [/effective at some capacity] for him.
Mei is standing somewhere as she closes her eyes, while in deep thought. She opens her eyes and thinks that she doesn’t regret leaving the school together with Rihito. “[But] simply..” Mei blushes as Rihito is standing beside her while carrying a huge bag. Rihito asks if she is cold. Mei happily says that she isn’t cold, not one bit. “And, you, Rihito?” Mei is surprised when Rihito says that he is, a bit. Mei feels sad for him that she quickly holds his hand. Rihito tells her that he is just joking. Mei exclaims that she wants to do this. “I..” Mei thinks that because right now, if she isn’t here beside Rihito, it seems that he would go to a very far away place. Rihito says, “But.. there are a lot of people..” A lot of people are there with some elderly women whispering that it is nice to be young [lovey-dovey in public]. [The place seems to be Gongyaqian Station if it is a name or, some place which is a port/harbor park public transport station.] At a huge building with a ferris wheel beside it, Rihito says that they are going to stay there for the night. Mei says okay. She thinks that she can smell of the night sea. To her surprise, Rihito pulls her to him and says, “Then, sorry for the rudeness.” While Mei exclaims for him to wait a minute, Rihito walks with her into the hotel. Mei blushes when Rihito whispers to her, “Is it possible for you to please lean closer to me? Be [/act] happy.” While Mei is thinking what this situation is, the receptionist welcomes the two and asks what kind of room it will be. With a sparkle, Rihito pulls Mei to him and says, “Of course, a double [bed] room.” Mei is blushing and somewhat shock over this.
Hehe, I guess Rihito is trying to pass themselves as a ‘couple’ and I do hope that they are not dumb enough to use their real names and they do have money with them. Actually, isn’t it a bit of a risk to check in to a luxurious type of hotel. ^^; Shouldn’t they go on low profile? I guess Rihito doesn’t want to check in with Mei with anything less. Hm..now that I think about it, maybe luxurious hotels would less likely to ‘sell out’ the identities of their guests than cheaper ones. For now, it seems that Mei’s friends aren’t going to do anything just yet. Probably like in the Irufan arc, they will only move at the last minute. Kintaro does seem to be up to something and he seems to be urging Kento to pursue those two will all of Hongo’s resources. Hehe, it does seem like Kento is the real son-in-law. =P Well, it is indeed suspicious that Kintaro is acting as if the elopement is something common and he is unfazed at all. I hope that Kento is aware of this and he is just playing along with Kintaro and those two butlers. Hehe, maybe Kintaro plans on giving those two butlers to Kento so this trip is for them to ‘bond’. =P If he is aware of what really seemed to have happened and not what the two butlers hinted to him, I think it is nice that until now, Kento is still protecting Mei’s reputation in a way by insisting that she was abducted. Thankfully, Kento isn’t a pushover to bow and apologize to Rika on Mei’s behalf. Somehow, it is like a test for Kento to act like a ‘young master’ with resources he can use which aren’t really his. I’m interested in how he will handle himself in this new role. Seeing him dressed up like that, I hope that he can fly a plane, too. It really makes me feel somewhat happy to see how far Kento has come/become from being Mei’s childhood friend. It is like he is some sort of male Cinderella..now to find his princess who obviously isn’t Mei. =P

Narration: “Now that I think of it, during junior high, it is also like this. Case 1: Anna tensely thought, “Could it be that I and Hinata mutually think of the same thing!? [<- share much in common/mutually like each other] That I only have to confess!!” Then, holding Hinata’s hand, Anna exclaimed, “Hinata!! I..” Da-dum..interrupted when Mari came along. Case 2: While running, Anna thought, “In the end, I do not want it to be like this wherein we’ll graduate while quarreling. I’m going to apologize to Hinata!!” Just when Anna is going to call Hinata who is standing far from her.. Da-dum, Mari appeared and talked with Hinata. Narration: “I don’t know why but whenever I and Hinata consider things to be, ‘This is it!!’, she always appears. Compared with me, that person has more intensely snatched away Hinata’s heart.” Mari giggles and says that it turns out that it is indeed Hinata for she thought that it is just someone who looks like him. “Ah? The one at that side, could it be Koshiro-chan?” With a disbelief expression, Anna turns to look at the back then she backs away a bit. Anna thinks, “She appears again--” Mari exclaims that it is indeed Anna and what is she doing here. Anna looks aghast as she wonders what kind of script Mari is saying. With a smiling face, Mari says that the two of them had properly reconciled. “But it is really great. I was really worried for it seems that the origin of your quarrel is [little] me..” Anna gloomily thinks, “Ah..how nostalgic. In this situation, I feel powerless to say anything and [I] feel apprehensive..” Mari asks if Anna is staying there for today. Anna tells her no, she is going back. Mari is surprised that Anna is heading back today. Mari apologizes for interrupting them and if there is time, she would want to chat some more with Anna. While Anna is wondering why this woman is here, Mari tells her that she’ll just ask Hinata about the rest at school. This surprises Anna when Mari mentioned school. Mari asks Hinata isn’t that right. She is puzzled since Hinata is just looking away and isn’t reacting to her. Mari approaches him and asks, “What is it?” Hinata looks surprised when Mari is about to touch him while saying, “Tokura-kun.” Before Mari can touch Hinata, Mashiro stops her by putting his hand in front to stop her finger. Mari looks surprised while surprised Hinata is looking down at Mashiro’s hand. Smiling Mashiro says, “Okay, this will stop here for now-☆ There’s not enough time--”
Puzzled Mari asks who he is. Pushing up his glasses, Mashiro says that he is a type of guardian for Hinata and Anna. “And, just like the rumor, you are very beautiful, sensei.” Mari thanks him. Pointing to the car, Mashiro exclaims okay, Anna get in the car and Hinata go back home on his own from here. Gloomy Anna tries to protest. She thinks that she knows that she has to go but in the end, she still wasn’t able to ask Hinata [/hear Hinata’s answer]. “And what’s really important is if I just go and leave Hinata behind with that person..” Suddenly, Hinata grabs Anna’s arm. Anna looks surprised and Hinata looks somewhat tense. Hinata didn’t say anything but to Anna’s surprise, Hinata holds her tighter. Anna wonders what this is. “What could this mean!? Are you telling me not to go!? Why- I can’t properly interpret it!! I better calm down.” Hinata tells her to go ride the car. Flustered Anna says ya, yes, she will, if she can. Anna looks at him then at his hand that is holding her. Then, Hinata lets her go. Mashiro calls out to Anna [to get in else he’ll leave her]. Anna exclaims yes. “Goodbye Hinata, see you next time!!” Hinata looks somewhat surprised then sadly waves her goodbye with the panda doll. After the car left, Mari happily calls out to Hinata by saying what is that panda, and it is so cute. Hinata didn’t seem to reply back. He just looks thoughtful-sad. Soon, it is night. Anna and Mashiro stop over a restaurant and ate some ramen for dinner. While eating, Anna thinks, “A lot of things happened today. I went on a date and saw a lot of cute animals. In the end, I wasn’t able to ask Hinata when I obviously have a pile of things that I’m thinking of [/want to ask]. And at the end of all of it..” A chibi Mari said that she’ll ask Hinata about the rest in school. While chewing, Mashiro comments to Anna that he always felt that it is quite unexpected. Anna asks, huh. Mashiro tells her that in his mind, his impression of Mari-sensei is that kind of person who is quite sexy as she seduces the students. Then, there is a picture of what Mashiro thinks Mari would be like – a sexy seductress of a teacher. Aghast, Anna stands up and exclaims at Mashiro as to what kind of topics has he and Hinata been talking about. Mashiro says that it is because they are guys and his ‘polite talk’ is quite amazing. [<- casual talking yet he can dig up a lot of stuff from the other person?] Somewhat flustered Anna looks at him in disbelief.
Mashiro tries to tell Anna that Kobayashi-sensei is.. Anna gloomily asks if she is Hinata’s high school teacher. Mashiro says she is. Freaking out, Anna exclaims, “Why!? Why!? Kobayashi-sensei obviously went on a marriage leave from our junior high school!” Mashiro sweatdrops and says that Mari isn’t pregnant so even if she has married, she can still work though he doesn’t know the details about it. Anna gloomily thinks, “Even if-- I can just say things, [<- say things yet nothing will change] then, right now, Hinata is still meeting sensei at school. This kind of thing.. this kind of thing.. This kind of thing..” Aghast and trembling, Anna mutters out loud, “Could it be that Hinata has not yet forgotten that thing about sensei.. Having an unrequited love with someone’s wife..!!” Mashiro looks surprised at her then he asks her if that is what she thinks. Anna is puzzled and asks, huh. Mashiro asks, “Today, when you see the two of them, do you feel that Hinata likes that teacher?” Anna looks surprised then she thinks, “Today’s Hinata is..” Flashback: After Mari is deterred by Mashiro from touching Hinata and Mashiro is introducing himself, Anna is surprised when Hinata’s left hand is holding his upper right arm. Hinata looked serious-sad-tense. End flashback. Anna thinks, “How.. how can I say it.. overall, it feels kind of strange..?” Mashiro holds Anna’s chin up with his finger and says, “Anna, save Hinata.” Anna goes huh? Mashiro exclaims if it is okay for her to just let things unfinished and from that beautiful teacher’s hand is a woman’s weapon that anyone can use. Anna is puzzled as to what Mashiro meant. With a sparkle in his eye, Mashiro says, “Listen up, Anna. In doing that kind of thing, the more you do it, the more you get too deep into it.” Anna imagines Mari leaning down on Hinata and saying, “Let me teach you a way to cheer you up, a lot more.” With hands on her head, Anna exclaims out loud, “Nnnnooo!!” Mashiro tells Anna that she would want to save Hinata from that sting, right. “Defeat that Kobayashi-sensei. Gambatte-♥” While walking away, Mashiro muses that things are going to be more interesting. Anna exclaims, “Bu..but, Mashiro-kun.. I..!!”
At the parking lot, Mashiro asks Anna what it is for didn’t they already finish things up. Anna says no. She tensely tells him that before, she was told by Hinata that ‘they are childhood friends who are better compared to lovers’. Mashiro asks, “So?” Anna tensely says, “Ah.. so.. for me to have this kind of jealous feelings towards sensei, won’t Hinata feel that it is kind of quite troublesome..” Mashiro darkly asks, “Huh?” [<- kind of like Sou’s reaction when Anna is doing/thinking something stupid.] This made Anna feel tense. Mashiro asks her what about being troublesome for Hinata, and he won’t be troubled over that kind of thing. Anna exclaims, “But I feel that because I like Hinata, the current Hinata doesn’t want to hurt me that he doesn’t want to tell me his feelings!! *crying* for me, to be the only one, to be Hinata’s female childhood friend.. I already felt that it is such an amazing thing.. But, is it okay to ask about that, but I totally feel it’s no good.. and I also won’t want trouble the current Hinata. Regarding sensei, I would think of ‘you idiot--’ but..” [<- I think the last part meant, she might call him an idiot or he’ll call her an idiot which might cause them to quarrel just like before.] Mashiro looks tense and tells her that yes, sorry, it’s his fault. While comforting Anna who is wiping her tears, Mashiro asks what, does Anna think that Hinata’s answer is ‘no’. He tells Anna that he feels that Hinata won’t say it, isn’t because ‘it’s a pity if I dump Anna’. Anna asks him why Hinata won’t say it. Mashiro tells her that it is because it isn’t enough, opening the key to Hinata’s heart. Anna asks him what he just said. Mashiro tells her that he saw it a while ago. “If you want to know Hinata’s feelings, untying that chain is a necessity. [There is an image of Mari.] Fight on, Anna. The winner has not yet been decided. *grabbing Anna by the neck and gesturing ‘forward’* Defeat Kobayashi-sensei!!” Anna sweatdrops and thinks that in the end, it is back to that topic.
As they ride the car, Anna thinks that even if he said it, she obviously knew that they cannot return to being ordinary childhood friends, she still.. She looks up the window and sees the full moon. She mutters, “moon..” and Mashiro says that is right, it’s very beautiful. She perks up and exclaims, “That is it!!” This surprises Mashiro that he asks, what. [<- it turns out to be a Chinese slang. ^^;] if she is talking about ‘shinme’ [<- sacred horse; I think it is a pun and he misunderstood her.] Anna happily tells him that a high school teacher told her some stuff about ‘when you are moved [by something], you should press down the shutter of the camera’. Mashiro asks which teacher it is. Anna tells him that she entered a photography club in high school. “After testing it a bit, it became quite interesting!! And also, this time around, there’s a Photo Koshien kind of thing, that club members will join in-- If we can stay up to the final competition, we can go to Hokkaido, hence-- *looking at Mashiro* Mashiro-kun, are you listening?” Anna goes scared-shock when Mashiro, who is looking like he has an idea [<- up to some mischief type], says that he is listening. Mashiro is happily laughing as he exclaims that it turns out that Anna has joined a photography club. “Photo Koshien!! You should absolutely stay until the final competition, gambatte-!!” Anna sweatdrops and says, ya, she’ll do her best. To Anna’s surprise, Mashiro tells her that speaking of that, lately, Hinata has become quite interested in photography. Anna exclaims is that so, this is the first time she heard of it. Mashiro suggests that Anna takes a picture of the moon and give it to Hinata. “He’ll definitely be very happy.” Taking her cellphone, Anna says okay and can he open the window. Anna is really happy even if it is a coincidence that Hinata is also interested in photography. She takes a picture of the moon and checks her cellphone if it looks okay. She thinks, “Undeniably, there are a lot of things that I do not know about Hinata. What can I do to help.. it’s not at all that kind of amazing thing.. [<- she cannot do much] *looking sad* if it is to understand more of Hinata’s feelings then..” Message sent.
In front of their apartment, Anna thanks Mashiro for today. Mashiro says that it is nothing and he just like observing the youthfulness of youngsters. [<- acting cupid? A busybody? =P] Mashiro asks Anna if she already got Hinata’s reply. Anna says that she didn’t. Mashiro sighs and asks could it be that he’s already sleeping, after all, he woke up early today. Anna[/Mashiro] muses that normally, Hinata answers quickly. While Mashiro[/Anna] is saying that is how Hinata’s mother trained him, Anna suddenly hides behind Mashiro’s car. This surprises Mashiro. Anna whispers to him her apology and asks him to treat her as if she isn’t there. While Mashiro is puzzled, someone behind him, calls out to him. It is Sou. Sou comments that it turns out to be him for he thought it is some bum [/idler]. Mashiro asks what he is doing so late at this time. “Are you night gaming--?” Sou says he isn’t and he just got home from work. At the back of the car, Anna begins to wonder what she is doing but then, right now, she is to ‘keep distance’ from Sou. While thinking that Mashiro has read the mood, she freaks out when Mashiro asks Sou to guess what he just finished doing before coming back home. Mashiro is giggling while Sou mutters that he’s so annoying. Sou darkly asks what’s up with him. Before leaving, Sou says that it is nothing and he has already heard about it from Hinata that is why he called Mashiro a bum [<- has too much free time]. Mashiro looks somewhat surprised. Anna is surprised that Hinata has told Sou about it up to that point. Mashiro somewhat smiles [<- like someone who got caught] and says, “In the end, it isn’t only one [and the same] that is binding Hinata, right?” Anna looks thoughtful as she is somewhat sitting out the car. [I’m not sure if she heard what Mashiro said. ‘Not only one and the same’. The moon is partly covering the sky. While pulling the curtains to the side, Hinata is looking at it from the window. Hinata is holding his cellphone that has a picture and a message from Anna, probably about the moon. [It wasn’t translated.] Hinata looks somewhat sad-thoughtful. Narration: “The key to opening Hinata’s feelings.”
And..I’m tempted to add to that last sentence, the answer which is ‘it is another Hinata’. =P Hehe, so based on what Mashiro thinks, there seems to be two things that is stopping Hinata from going with Anna. They are whatever it is between Hinata and Mari, and the other is Sou. Things are at a stalemate and something needs to get them moving. This time, it is Mashiro. Hinata is indeed such a puzzle and the author isn’t revealing much so that we would remind ‘clueless’ just like Anna as to what he is really thinking. Does he really like her or not? It seems he is..yet at times.. I feel that it seems that everyone else knows something but Anna, so I kind of feel bad for her. From what’s happening, I can also pretty much jump into conclusions just like Anna. ^^; Okay, so Mari ‘followed’ Hinata to high school. Geez, I wonder if that made Hinata regret transferring to Tokyo unless, he knew about it. It’s one thing to fall for a teacher who is seducing/playing around with him but I think it is another thing to keep on loving a married woman. Is Hinata the type of person who would cross that line? I don’t think Hinata is that much of a fool especially based on what he told Anna which started their long quarrel. Based on Hinata’s reaction when Mari almost touched him, it seems like something happened between him and Mari. It does seem like how Mashiro hinted/teased Anna. It seems like the body language of ‘I’m violated’ or ‘nervousness’. I have to theories on this. One, I wonder if something almost happened/had happened which scared the daylights out of Hinata then, he realizes his feelings for Anna but is hesitant to tell Anna because he feels ‘I’m no longer worthy of you’. During his calls and interactions with Anna, Hinata seems to be his normal self and he did somewhat tease her in a way to make her think that he likes her. Was he just acting? His reaction and mood totally changed when Mari appeared. From Mashiro’s question, I don’t think that Hinata’s reaction is the type of ‘someone in love’ and maybe he really did wipe that kiss when Mari kissed him. If it isn’t that, then the second one is what some readers are saying that there is something wrong with Hinata’s hand/arm. Maybe it is Mari related..I’m imagining Mari’s husband caught them and injured his arm. ^^;; Okay, that is very far-fetched but Mashiro did mention that Hinata is starting to become interested in photography. Is it because his arm is injured that he cannot draw or he wants to keep away from Mari? Either of the two theories, it is bad news for Hinata and is that what Mashiro meant by ‘saving Hinata’ ^^; I wonder though if they will meet at the photography contest because I’m sure Mashiro will suggest it to Hinata. He is their love cupid, after all. I wonder if the competition will be held on summer. I’m somewhat imagining Sou using up all that money he earned to join them at Hokkaido. =P I also want to see the two HINATA-s meeting, too. Hopefully, in the next coming chapters, Sou and Anna patch things up to help Hinata whatever it is that is troubling him. Hm..I actually wonder if Sou also knows whatever it is troubling Hinata. ^^; Whatever it is, I think it will take some chapters/months before we’ll get to know for I thought it is in this arc, we’ll finally know what’s really up between Hinata and Mari..then, it seems to be something ‘deeper’ than I imagined and we didn’t really get any answers. Anyway, if ever Mari did something to Hinata, I think Sou will fulfill his threat on Mari before. =P Actually, if something scandalous did happen, I think Mashiro would have made Hinata go back to their place and maybe Hinata will transfer to Anna and Sou’s school. =P
