Yesterday, I went to a highschool batchmate’s wedding reception even if I didn’t get the invitation for the one who was suppose to have brought it, forgot to bring it. The bride didn’t even bother to call me or invite me. It was just some other batchmate. ^^; Then, I’m having thoughts about going there and then learn that I wasn’t really invited.
Ban: You just mentioned a scene in HYD...you are getting paranoid.
Well, ya. I was informed that they are going to fetch me at 530pm. I waited downstairs and after 15 minutes, there is still no one there so I decided to call. Thank God for cellphones. It turned out that the one who is going to fetch me is still at home! Waiting to be confirmed if it is indeed 530pm. Geez, the last time this happened without cellphones, I had been waiting for about an hour to learn that they are still having their make-up done. The party was a debut by the same person who just got married.
We were late in going there since it is very traffic and we have to go by a guy’s house who asked them to get his clothes since he is wearing black. Black is a no-no in celebrations like birthdays or wedding since it is a mourning color but then, the young generation tends to disregard that and it is better not to make any older generation angry so he had to change clothes. The maids are taking their sweet time ironing 5 shirts and two pants.
It didn’t matter since the party started much later at 830pm so the first courses are immediately eaten up by the hungry guests. It was at the mid-course when people are already full and couldn’t eat anymore. Honestly, I’m a bit bored and wanted to go home. When the party is about to end, sis told me to go downstairs to met me. I got my FMA manga and some clothes for mom. Then, the one who invited me talked with me a bit. I got home really late since they waited for everyone to go home so that they can talk to the bride.
Oh ya, a little ego-building, hehehe...while on the way to the bride, the groom’s mother suddenly kept praising my looks and asking me who I am. ^^;; Geez, I was a bit surprised. Well, they say that I look a bit like a certain hubby-stealing sexy actress. Too bad, the one I looked a bit alike had a bad reputation. It was only then I realized that I should have written that name in the guest book.

Ya. I remember a cousin writing his name as Saddam Hussein at a wedding book for fun. That was during the Gulf War. Finally, they all bid goodbye and I got home safely. The driver is one driver from hell. It was like a taxi driver, going past traffic lights, driving fast and stopping suddenly when there is a car in front, almost hitting a person deliberately while that person was crossing the street, hitting the horn too loudly at any obstruction and etc.
FMA is a medium-hard read because of the terms they use. Otherwise, it is okay. I do notice that Edward’s face is becoming rounder than usual but cute as always. Hehehe Volume 5 is about Winry meeting a master mechanic and they now know why Edward is still short. It was because the mechanical arm/leg is too heavy but Edward is relieved to know that he still has a chance to grow tall. ^_^ Then, they met with their sensei. They were asked to know the past behind what had started it all. In volume 6, it is all about their past and their training. In volume Then, Edward realized that it was time to renew his license so he went back to the city. In volume 7, a new enemy was introduced, Greed who suspiciously look like Hughes. ^^; He kidnapped Al and wanted to ask him how he got into the armor but he doesn’t know. They waited for Edward to come back who did come back and along came the president and Alex. Edward put up a good fight but Greed escaped. The president was ruthless for he tend to kill while Alex tried not to. The president’s weapons are four swords and they can alchemy type since after cutting stuff, it has some electric effect to slow the process of healing back which was the case for Greed whose power is somewhat like steel armor on his body. The president made short work of him and then, a revelation, he also had the same mark as the other ‘SIN’ villains. I don’t know the name of their group. ^^;; Would that mean he used to be with them or he is still with that group? The omakes now involve the cow author. Hehehe
What I have been waiting for in SGRan had finally happened. ^-^ The holiday for this episode is Valentine’s day. Tatsukichi is wondering if Ran would give him a chocolate since she can be quite unromantic. Yuya is frightened that Mami might want to introduce him to her parents. The girls led by Miyu baked some chocolates as Katsumi plotted to make a chocolate laced with wasabi. Mami finally found Yuya in his parttime job and gave him a chocolate. Yuya was surprised that Mami looked a bit sad. It looked that she has problems introducing him to her parents. Maybe afraid that they might disapprove, I guess. Then, Aya gave some chocolate to Rei who accepted it but didn’t want Ran’s chocolate which made Ran furious. Rei did said earlier that he never get chocolates from other girls since he doesn’t want them. Rei left and Aya quickly followed and asked the dreaded question. Do you like Ran? Rei finally admitted that he does and Aya was shock. Then, Rei goes into insensitive mode and told Aya that it was her fault for asking then he left, poor crushed Aya. Meanwhile, Tatsukichi was delighted to have his chocolate that was the one that Katsumi made – she switched the chocolates. Tatsukichi then regrets for it was too hot and yucky but he doesn’t dare tell it to Ran. Katsumi was furious that her plan didn’t work and ate Ran’s chocolate. It turned out to taste horrible, too. ^^;

Well, it turned out that Gundam Seed was being shown in Cartoon Network. I found out about it just yesterday so I still missed the first episode. It won’t be long before it would catch up with the Taiwan dub that is of course, if they don’t rerun or anything.
Local dub rerun of Naruto will end this Friday and will be replaced by Tokyo Underground. It doesn’t seem that impressive from the ad. I do remember reading the plot for this before. If I recall correctly, it is about a ‘princess’ with her guardian asking for help from some teen kid. Well, let’s just see.
News here is the usual slow counting of the votes. Other than the problems kids these days face. It seemed that gambling is quite popular among them. They are betting from the usual neighborhood basketball games to who-gets-a-certain-score-first-in-an-online game bets to well, NBA. The parents would be surprised one day when they found hoodlums ringing at their doorbell saying that their children owe them money. Aside from that, the students in public school have really bad quality education that even if the passing grade of their assessment test is 30, more than half had failed. I saw a documentary last night about it and the reporter tested some high school students. They don’t even though what the sentence, “We would probably have fried chicken at dinner.” The reporter ended up tutoring the sample students.
There are rumors though that the two fierce contenders for president would both have their proclamation on the 30th. The incumbent president would be in a province while the other one, the actor would be in the city. If ever that happens, we would be the laughingstock of the world but then, we are already is. People still couldn’t believe that it is taking this long to count votes and that is delayed by too much talking.

I forgot to mention that I watched Gundam Seed last Saturday. I’m guessing that from last episode, Anthrun was very angry that Kira killed his friend that he decided to self-destruct his gundam to kill Kira. So, the current episode was they are all angsting about the death of Kira. They couldn’t fight his body and the cockpit was badly burned. Anthrun miraculously survived and was returned to his group. I don’t know why though. I’m not sure if another one is killed since a name was being mentioned and it isn’t Kira’s. The last scene showed where Kira is. He just woke up in bed at Lacus’s mansion. How did he got there? Maybe the sea washed him there but then, it would mean that they fought near her place. Oh well, maybe the next episode will explain that one.
In OP manga, the ones who attacked Zoro where no match for him. ^^;; They were an odd looking group of bounty hunters. They all wear small goggles and are called Frankie family. I wonder if that is an in-joke or something. Robin and Chopper are walking around. Someone in a mask mentioned something to Robin ‘CP9’, which gave her cold sweat. Chopper then realized that Robin had left. I like Robin’s black sleek leather outfit here. ^_^
Luffy and the others got their gold appraised. If it weren’t for Nami who threatened the guy, they would have gotten less money. Nami’s outfit is nice, too – a short black dress with a necktie. They got 300 million beri divided into three suitcases. They decided to go to the shipyard and they met Kaku who suspiciously looked like Pinocchio especially the nose that Luffy called him Usopp. ^^; He offered to check the ship out and went off running.

I haven’t been writing for about a week already because I got caught some flu bugs. ^^; I think the medicine’s side effects are much worse though. Mmm..I didn’t know that there is a new antibiotic that instead for a week dosage it will be equivalent to 3 days but then the effects are really something.
SGRan was just about detective Kubo who is facing the end of his show and with a little case with Ran and her sister, he managed to snag a continuation in his show. Yugioh seemed to be a filler wherein Yugi went to the tablet with his god cards only to find real life dragons flying all over the city with some cult people trying to challenge him.
In OP manga, Nami, Usopp and Luffy went exploring the city with the use of bulls – sea serpent with a head of a horse to travel the canals. There are some mysterious ladies with Venetian masks. Then, they found the place where the carpenters were. Luffy was pleased to know that the carepenters could also fight. Back at the ship, Zoro was left at the ship to guard it while the others had gone out. Zoro finds himself attacked by some intruders.
Last Saturday, I watched what seemed to be a special ova of Yakumo Tatsu. The plot is actually a bit predictable. Some group with glasses kid went to the country to study a certain ritual for a movie. He brought along a sword of his grandfather. In the town, there is a new head of the house that was task to defeat a certain monster with the use of eight swords. They only have one and needed to find the others. Obviously, the glasses kid has one of the swords. There is a lot of Japanese background myth here about Susano and well, it is just like Blue Seed. It is otherwise, okay and left hanging for the viewers to go buy the manga to know what happened in the end.
News in the country, well, they are still counting who won ever so slowly because most of the time, they are very busy yapping. There are even talks now that they would re-do it since the congress had adjourn so they go no one/congress to report who won. Of course, people are getting pretty irritated already with their antics.

It turned out that the Taiwanese channel also had Naruto episodes up to what the local channel had. ^^; It is now replace by...ah, I think it is Megaman/Rockman Exe. It is based on a game. Naruto is now in the reruns during the weekdays. Mm..based on the manga, I’m still not used to Sasuke without his head gear. ^^; Seems very different. I had seen some new screencaps of PoT. Wow, it had really nice color and art is nice.
In OP manga, the Water 7 city is based on Venice. I have a feeling that Robin might do something like leaving them as they are going to search for their new member – the carpenter – to fix the ship. The carpenters there are not pushovers for they can fight off a pirate who refused to pay the repairs. I wonder which one among them would be the new member. There doesn’t seem to be any women carpenters yet though.

Just as I predicted, the woman who became a kid in 14 months had died. I did skipped watching the rest of the three episodes. ^^; I just asked mom about the ending. The other girl is still experimenting on how to become her real age. She was quite tricky for the first one she had the woman try it. The potion was in a small quantity that the change was only temporary. The doctor didn’t become younger, he just suffered memory loss. I wonder if it was because he was a guy. ^^; He died in a fire when he tried to save his rival, the chef. In the end, the woman, before she ‘disappear away’ told the manager that she can ‘marry’ her husband later on. That’s it.
I was mistaken about Totally Spies time slot. It turned out that it would replace a local drama. They put Totally Spies at HYD time slot and moved HYD to replace the local drama. So, HYD will be for one hour. They totally made Saturday morning shows for kids.
That means that SGRan won’t be ending soon. Sigh...I thought I could wake up late. =( It is another so-so episode. Ran helped out two lovers wherein the guy had very low confidence for as a kid, he failed to protect his lover from a bully. It was Ran who beat up the bully and his gang. Funny though, in that gang, there was a nerd. They sorted their problems and became official lovers with a long distance relationship. I realize now that the yellow haired girl is not Miyu but a different girl. I wasn’t able to get her name and don’t know how she get to know Ran and the others.
Just yesterday or the day before that, the counting for the president and vice-president had begun since they finished the canvassing. I managed to switch temporarily at the channel, which was having TV coverage for it. Everyone was clapping and happy that they finally finished the canvassing. They actually finished it since Mr. Shut up had somewhat stop yapping.
Then suddenly, newly elect wannabe president before starts yapping about actor wannabe president and Mr. Shut Up. I didn’t vote for her but sis did. I asked her why and she said that she is needed since she is so talkative that she would yap about ‘everything’ good or bad. ^^; That is logical, I guess. Those two decided not to answer back though.
Another yapping story. There was already a feud between a sexy actress and a doctor who specializes in ‘making people desirable to the opposite sex.’ They used to be best friends until a business deal wasn’t fulfilled as said by the doctor. The sexy actress was furious that she spread rumors that the doctor is just a quack so the doctor sued her. I guess for libel. Then, later on, sexy actress confides to her manager that her daughter COULD be pregnant. The manager unwittingly told it to the doctor who later on asked some people if it is true or as the sexy actress said, the doctor was spreading news about it.
Another war had ensued. The sexy actress is suing the doctor for spreading the gossip and I even heard about child abuse. I guess that is the daughter is a minor and gossip is ruining her good name or something like that. Then, the sexy actress is also using the attention to talk about to the lawyer of the doctor saying he isn’t good since he cannot get ousted president free from jail. It is all funny since it turned out that the daughter wasn’t really pregnant. ^^;; The winners in this story are of course, the lawyers. So, the moral lesson for this is, “Don’t gossip or else, it would be a big headache.”

News here: Ah, Mr. Shut up is still yapping away and so, the canvassing is still at a snail pace. I caught a glimpse of it and I felt sorry for the people at the gallery [audience] who are probably bored to death but then, someone got to watch to make sure no one cheats there. I was thinking if Mr. Shut up is doing this to make himself at least memorable and he got nothing much to lose since he did lost his senatorial bid. It was after the elections before I learned he was actually running. ^^;;
Because of the slow canvassing/counting, there are already some doomsday rumors from uprising to who would take place – Senate president, Speaker of the house and head of Supreme court justice. I guess the opposition wanted someone else than the incumbent president. It is more like, if I can’t be president, you won’t be either. *insert villain laugh* Geez, isn’t it like those villains in anime/movies, which wanted to blow up the place so that no one will be “winners”.
Aside from this, there are some Filipinos who died in the terrorist assault in some place in Saudi Arabia. If I’m not mistaken, it just had made oil prices go up again. While in Japan, an elementary girl just stabbed her classmate [girl] to death with a cutter blade. There is still no motive but then, it could be just the “usual bullying” and such violent incidents had been on the rise in Japan.
Hehehe...I couldn’t believe that 14th months is fast boring me. It is indeed following the formula of an incident –> self-sacrificing -> together again. Oh well, just three more episodes and this will end already. Last night episode was a bit boring. The woman is adjusting to her kid body and is very jealous of her husband’s manager. The doctor was frustrated that he drank the medicine so that he can be young with the woman and well, die together. ^^;; The next episode suggest that the next problem could be the guy’s eyesight. Sigh, it is becoming too depressing.
After sending yesterday’s entry, I realized that the continuation of the manga haven’t been published yet.
Ban: Yup, so no use complaining about it.

I had finished FFX-2 last night and obviously, I didn’t complete the missions anymore. I thought that the levels of the characters are quite high enough to defeat the big boss even though ironically, it is not enough for the big bosses of the side quests. ^^; So, I practically breeze though the enemy. Whacking it a few times and it is dead.
Ban: You are just lazy to power-up.
Ya and I thought it is a bit of a waste of time. I could already get the happy ending and I do want to move on. So, it ends with the usual speech of the trio. I thought Paine would stay with them. After the credits, it started with the ending of FFX. Tidus swam upward and found himself in Besaid Island. I was a bit disappointed that Yuna didn’t come jumping from their ship and drop-hug him. Oh well, they just landed and Yuna just came running. They embraced and hope this is for real. Everyone from Besaid, including Wakka, Lulu and baby shouts for them. The two walked toward them. Tidus noticed that Yuna had changed and she said, I would tell you all about it...it started when I saw a sphere of you. The end. Next game to play, Kingdom Hearts. I read from a magazine that this one also had two endings though the other ending would require some stuff to do or complete.
Fourteen Months is reminding me of Fushigi Yuugi. ^^;; It is like there always some circumstance which will make the couple separate from each other, self-sacrificing. Well, they had learned how to stop the youth process. The ‘patient’ had to stop being in love. The husband learned about it and was devastated so he tried to pretend to be in love with his manager to make his wife not like him anymore. After two months, she wanted a divorce. The woman’s mentor at work found this and because of her reaction, the woman realized what the guy is doing. They were re-united after the woman confessed that she couldn’t live without him. The last scene, they are going to have a church wedding with the mentor as the witness. Too bad, the woman had just became a 10 year old kid while changing into her wedding dress.
Sigh, I’m in a bit of manga withdrawal symptoms. Argh, where is the rest...I want to know what happened next!! Arrgggh!! ^_^;;

I finally got the manga that sis bought. It is only two titles: Skip Beat! and the continuation of Getbackers. Skip Beat! is from the author of Tokyo Crazy Paradise and I like the art and story – comic parts. It is a typical shoujo manga about a crybaby type who would do everything for her beloved boyfriend, a rock singer. She had gone with him to the city and helped him rise up into what he is today. Until one day, she discovered that he is ‘playing’ with another girl and doesn’t appreciate what she had been doing all the time. In fact, he admitted that he was just using her. Then, here comes the side story about Pandora’s box. A little demon [the boyfriend] had opened up the chest and out came the demons in her heart. She vowed revenge and is now trying her best to become a showbiz star. Like the story, there is something left in the box, it is “hope”.
That hope is about her past wherein a boy had given her a small sapphire to which she can cry her out out. It seemed that the boy is the actor whom the boyfriend is a rival with. Anyway, it is a fun read and of course, I’m also fond of the chibis. ^_^ It is like a continuation of TCP in a different world.
In GB, I didn’t thought that the fourth king in the group Volts was an older man. He must be the oldest in the group and ah...he somewhat reminded me of a pirate. ^^;; Lots of fight scenes here and even if it were just 3 volumes, reading in one go as in browsing, is giving a tad of headache. Too many pictures cramped in such a small space. I’m pretty amused that Raitei can sideline as an exoricist. I guess Ginji got his power back thanks to Shido. Anyway, it was left hanging. So the tag tournament is in the next volume that came out about last week. The cover is on the two again wearing what seemed to be gasoline boy outfits. How fitting when oil prices are rising up lately.

I had seen a preview of GB game in PS2 last night but it doesn’t seem quite fun to play. It is the usual bashing lots of enemies and it doesn’t seem to highlight their powers. Okay, the others do hit/attack ordinarily but then, Kadz is just kicking and punching, too. It is in 3D but the illustration is somewhat anime art. With Ginji, they added a bit of electricity effect.
Oh ya, my boo-boo yesterday. I decided to watch Cowboy Bebop movie in vcd format lend by Asher. I don’t know if I’m sleepy or what but I didn’t notice that there were 2 discs. ^^;; Guess which one I watched first? Hehehe...and I learned it only after watching the first one and saw the other one in the case. Geez, I got used to watching dvd and forgot the vcds tend to cut a movie into two discs – just like games before. ^^;
Since this is made by Bones, the same company that did Rahxephon and Wolf’s Rain, the art is pretty. It does somewhat reminded me of Rahxephon. The plot is basically some ‘lunatic’ wanted to rule/destroy the world with nanomachines and they got to stop him. Mm..I wonder if the lead was angry at the woman who shot the villain and have her pay for the bounty since at the start, they didn’t wanted to kill him or else, they would loose the bounty. The airship flying sound reminded me of Rahx. The fight scenes are okay. Overall, it is okay. The young girl in the movie reminded me of Niea 7 and the lead’s shoes reminded me of Lupin. ^^;; It just made me want to watch Rahxephon again.
In SGRan, it is an episode of Ran’s past. Why Ran doesn’t want to be a policewoman just like her father’s dream? It started with her father stalking her and testing her if she had the qualities of being a policewoman. Of course, she passed. Silly idea – the lion kicks its cub down a cliff to make it more self-reliant or to train it. ^^; I don’t know if it is true but I highly doubt. The father was laughing insanely that mom glanced for a while and asked if he was the bad guy. ^^;; Anyway, in the end, Ran doesn’t want to be a policewoman anymore when she learned that she have to wear a police uniform. She wanted to be in casual clothes. It ended with Ran chasing her father for he was the thief mascot who tried to kidnap Saiyo and after chasing him away, her lunch box was ruined. Ah, that will be one of his tests. Oh ya, Ran passes the want to be policewoman to Saiyo who is now playing detective with her friends.
In 14th months, the woman had become a teen. At first, the guy didn’t recognize her and she tried to make him realize it himself by working at the restaurant with him. Later, he realized it was her. Then, the problem is the guy is scared stiff of having sex with her for she looks quite young. The woman is not happy about it. Then, they somewhat understood each other’s needs. The woman was visiting the doctor who created the medicine. It turned out that they used to be high school classmates. The doctor told her that he created the medicine after seeing her crying since her father died caused by old age. Then, he confessed that he likes her and will try to change her back. But then, behind the scenes, he wishes that the woman stayed at her current age as being a teen. I’m still thinking if this doctor is a bad guy or not.
The guy managed to cook something confidently to make him have the right to be the chef of the restaurant. Of course, it is the opportunity given to him by the owner/manager of the restaurant who had a crush on him. The woman decided to go with the doctor to totally cure her since she had more or less a year before she becomes a 10 year old and might die. They are still thinking if one reaches the age of a 10 year old, the aging process will stop. The other kid is still alive and I’m not quite sure if the doctor is happy about it or not. Anyway, in the end, the woman did go with the doctor, who was quite happy. In the preview, there are divorce papers. I wonder if the doctor had anything to do with it.

And the word of the day, yesterday, at the Congress is Shut Up. How it all started. There was this congressman who kept on yapping about the rules, etc when they should be voting about agreeing on the rules. Note: That congressman is from the opposition. Then, someone in the audience – pro-government- wrote to him a note, telling him to shut up and get on to the counting from taxpayer. Irked by it, the congressman wanted to sue contempt. Then, the one in charge told him to cool down for it is just a freedom of speech. Later on, the congressman shouted for the guy to shut up and that is also his freedom of speech. After an exchange of shut ups, they decided to adjourn the meeting/counting to do it today so that everyone would cool their heads. So, no counting is happening yet and the two groups can keep on claiming that their candidate had won.

Instead of 10 years older, she will be 10 years younger. Geez, and they were waiting for the guy to be old enough to marry and now, she became too young so they would have to wait again. The guy tried to be supportive and said that the scientist might make her normal again but all of them are not hoping on it since the other one wasn’t ‘cured’ and was wandering in the streets. The other one drank two bottles. We are guessing if at the end of the series, she will find a cure or stay like that. Mm..would that make the guy a pelophile but then, the one inside is really older than him?

The clip I saw last Saturday night could have been Dante. It is a pre-sequel to the DMC series. DMC3 is already in the making and it had a trailer. The trailer is a bit huge to download though. Mm..they gave Dante a twin. A usual evil twin brother? Hehehe
OP was quite uneventful. Everyone had got back into their usual ways and then they saw a frog [swimming in free-style] trying to overtake a sea train, Puffing Tom. They learned that the next island is Water 7 where the best ship factories are and the most skilled ship carpenters, too. Next stop, Water 7.
I still had some side missions to do in FFX-2. Let’s see: Fight a giant cactuar, dig in the desert to find parts and defeat a machine and go to the 100 levels of Bevelle dungeon. I actually skipped the Thunder Plains dungeon since I’m in no mood for math and my brain is not working with all those instructions anymore. Oh well. I tend to think that magic is somewhat not that important in battles since when one uses magic, it takes a longer time to charge and then the enemy kept on hitting by the time the magic is used, one might end up dead already. I ended up just kept on hitting and hope that the enemy would drop dead before I do. ^^;;
I read that they have changed the battle system in FF12. No more random battles. It would depend on the player if he/she wanted to engage the enemy or not. The leading girl looked good and well, as I wrote before, the guy looked a bit girly for me. ^^;;

The black haired guy in Endless Love 3 was indeed the guy in the Korean drama I watched before. He was the social climber guy in the drama about two sisters. I have a feeling that this will have a sad ending. The leading girl had a heart ailment. Uh-oh. And, she is having a bit of Yuna/Lenne problem. The spirit of the dead wife [she was in a wedding dress when brought in the hospital] went into her when they were in the same hospital. Well, it suggests that way.
I had missed the first part of 14 Months – Japanese drama. The story is about an older woman [35] and a younger nerdy man [25] who are living in. The woman kept on thinking of their age gap. At first, I thought that the girl who was staying with them is their daughter but she acts older for her age. It turned out that she in indeed older. She seemed to be a scientist and had made a formula that can make a person younger. I think the problem would be, it just kept making that person younger – non-stop.
She asked the older woman if she wanted to be younger to drink it. But the older woman didn’t for she was expecting to be a mother soon. Unfortunately, she got into an accident and had a miscarriage. It turned out she had a cycst in her ovaries so they removed it. She was devastated and was thinking of the younger man whose life is just starting and she cannot give birth. The kid then asked the man to keep her bad with the formulas for she is going home. The man is trying his best as a chef to show to his wife that he is ‘someone’. Well, something like that. ^^;
Alone at the house, the woman found the formula and drank it. No changes and she went to the contest where the man was. He lost and after a bit of talking, he proposed to her – the star who would always be at his side. That night, the woman is in a bit of pain and felt her body is changing. She looks in the mirror and found her wrinkles had vanished. It seemed to be an interesting drama. The leading guy is from Honke no Yome – a favorite of mine, about a Taiwanese reporter married into an old fashioned Japanese family. He turned out to be a member of Smap. Mm..maybe the old Smap since in the new one, I didn’t seem to have noticed him there.
News here. We just had another silly president proclamation from the guy who wasn’t even in the elections list. The guy who claimed that he will pay the debt of the country and give everyone one million pesos. He would be president and have a sideline as a showbiz personality. I guess the guy just love his media coverage.
The congress is still deciding on how to count the canvass while there are some protests that the actor aspirant should have won since there is systematic cheating. Two weeks had passed and we still don’t know who won as president. ^^; The office in charge of the elections had proclaimed the senators last night except for the last one since some ballots have not yet came in. They also tossed in their own president and vice-president counting even if they are not authorized to do it. Guess who they say had won? Of course, their boss, the incumbent president.

I managed to watch a lot of anime late afternoon. ^-^ The problem is that they are playing simultaneously. ^^;; On one channel is the end of a Kindaichi case. The other one is showing Star Ocean EX but then, it is a bit the same as the game I played in PS so I decided to just come back on this once in a while. The one I watched was a Detective Conan movie.
It is a duo detective case between Conan and Heiji. I find it interesting that Heiji knows that Conan is Shinichi. I wonder when did he learn that. Anyway, they are looking for a Buddha statue and a jewel, which Heiji found when he was a kid, is linked to it. This movie was set in beautiful Kyoto. It showed the temples, the nature and even a teahouse where a geisha performs. They put in a motorcycle race complete with cg effects and a side sword fighting. There is also a touch of romance when Shinichi managed to go back to his original body temporarily with the help of Ai’s medicine. Well, there is also romance between Heiji and his girlfriend. Overall, I like this movie and after watching the credits, it is a new one. It was made just last year so the art and colors looked really nice and well, new. ^_^
In Yugioh, they didn’t go on with the saving Kaiba thing. Kaiba just went on with his life and would make a toy kingdom in the US with his brother, Makuba. They even had a blue dragon aircraft as they flew away. Yugi and the others just moved to a different aircraft and thought Kaiba killed himself. Jounichi was angry that he made a fool of himself for he thought Kaiba committed suicide. [Note: I’m flipping with Conan here so I could have missed something.] Ryouji decided to return to the US, too. Since the tournament had ended, Mai is also leaving. Jounichi bid her goodbye as Mai left hoping to see him again next time. After that, a pretty long recap of scenes. The next episode seemed to be a filler episoede when Mazaki and Shizuka will be going around the place where the tournament had took place.
While watching HxH reruns, it really reminded me of GB especially when Gon and Killua are ‘killing’ each other. I was thinking that maybe Hisoka is just like Akabane hehehe Then, they also made a girly looking guy so from Kurapika came Kadz. Hehehe. The channel is already in the ova. I wonder how far the Greed arc would go – the new ones.
It seemed that Endless Love is aiming for different love stories with all four seasons as the setting. The new one is set in summer. From the news advertisement, it turned out that the lead was the same guy as in the first one with a different haircut. I almost didn’t recognize him. The plot seemed to be the guy met a girl who is pretty much like his deceased lover and well the girl is already attached. I had seen a few glimpse of this already in wowow. I somewhat like the dark haired couple than the colored haired ones. I’m still thinking where I have I seen that guy before. Was it the movie in Oh Happy Days or in a Korean drama?

I had been wondering if my monitor would conk out anytime soon or if it is just the electricity playing tricks. The monitor would flicker, the colors changes from darker to lighter and the screen moves back and forth as if the electricity is weak. I guess I would have to observe it a bit more if it occurs when we have a thunderstorm only.
Last night, the heavy rains didn’t help in making me sleep. I kept waking up especially when there are electric disruptions. I closed the air con and just when I unplugged the plug, there is electricity again. I waited for about an hour, half-asleep then opened it again just in case, the brownout might continue. After an hour, still no electricity again. Finally, I just removed it and slept. ^^;
I had seen a very short clip – it was ending – of a cg scene. It isn’t clear since I’m pretty sleepy that it was pretty cool. I thought I saw Dante there and then there was this demon and angel? [with wings] fighting in cityscape. At the end, it was the demon. I was thinking if it was Dante’s demon form. Argh, should have tuned into that channel earlier.
One more week of Chinese dub Naruto, and it would have caught up with the local dub. Gundam Seed is back. After a few scenes of chatting in both bases at the sea, they finally battle it out. They finally had a good strategy and Kira was actually winning. I wonder who was the one piloting the other aircraft. Could it be Orga? Anyway, Kira managed to get all the other gundams away with the help of their ship. It was then a battle between Kira and Anthrun who is losing. Anthrun asked if he is really going to kill him. Then, Nicol? [green hair] in a gundam wanted to rescue Anthrun. Kira instinctively slashed Nicol at the chest. Opps, it was the pilot cockpit. Kira was shocked at what he did and Anthrun was also shocked that Kira actually did it. Kira let go of the sword and backs away. Of course, Nicol exploded with the gundam. They are pretty good at making death scenes here. Mm..I wonder what will happen next though I can guess more Kira anguishing over to kill or not to kill.

I dusted around the computer table while watching Asher’s PoT vcd last night. I haven’t seen these episodes before even though the first one is obviously from the first season. It was just an introduction of everyone while the next one is just Ryoma with the others showed some boastful tennis players who it is realy played. It is the usual plot for a filler episode. Mm..is it because that Ryoma’s dad is in there so it is doomed to be boring?
I also freaked out twice last night. First was when I was cleaning the keyboard. The space bar had this clip and I couldn’t put it back. I hacked brains as to how it works then finally I got it back. Whew. While doing this, the vcd won’t come out of the player. Groan. I wonder if my machines jinx is kicking up again. I kept on pressing eject but it won’t and just kept on playing. In the end, I just gave it a karate chop and it finally spit out the vcd. Whew. What a night.
It is a Sailormoon inspired episode in SGRan. Kasumi is at it again, trying to disgrace Ran so that she will be a super gal in Shibuya. One thing let into another that she ended up dressing as Marioku? Moon in a pink sailor suit. Then, there was a reward to know who the real Marioku Moon who foiled a bullying. In the end, Ran was thought to be Marioku Moon when she rescued Kasumi from the bully. Saiyo caught it on picture so she and her two boy-friends got the reward to buy detective stuff. Kasumi pretended to be good and gave Ran an extra crepe but it was lace with wasabe. So, this got to be a filler episode.
Oh ya, PoT is back on the Taiwanese channel. The rerun has started on practicing before the tournament - the part where Inui challenged Tezuka. I think that is the tournament that made Tezuka’s injured arm worsen. I guess they had dub new episodes.
I’m in the last chapter of FFX-2. The enemies suddenly became a bit hard at the desert especially that giant Cactuar. So far, I had practically breeze though this game without bothering much about the grids. So, I’ll just do the rest of the side missions first in the hope of powering up and finish before going to the final battle. This could take a bit of time. And, chapter four was really boring. I was really sleepy while kept on browsing on those spheres to see what is happening around Spira.

Yay, the secretary had came already so I’m back on my parttime shift again. ^_^ Better clean up some stuff here..tables are itching to me cleaned.
Last night, we went to an aunt’s house for her birthday celebration. Mom is already out with those involved in the studio as they discuss what they will do after the fire aftermath. We were supposed to pick up an aunt then it turned out that four other cousins are also going with us. We couldn’t fit in the car. Father asked whiner aunt to go with them in a taxi since they don’t know the way but she doesn’t want to. In the end, with some loose instructions, we left them, which turned out to be a mistake since they got lost and arrived there at about 9pm. We arrived at about 715pm. The party was suppose to start at 7pm. We were the second group of guests to come. The first one is jack-of-all-trades cousin.
He is planning to migrate with his family to Canada and is just waiting to be interviewed. It was hampered because of those terrorists’ threats. His immediate family is all there already. While waiting, he is studying everything he can so that he can easily get a job there. He tends to study computer subjects and now include auto mechanic since it is in demand there. He was the one we chatted the whole night as the talked about his mother who can have grudges.
Then, also got to talk to another cousin, the daughter of the birthday celebrant. She is telling us that she used to not believe about those beauty products can actually be effective in skin care but now, she is doing all of them for she noticed the difference with her friend who started the regimen earlier. Then, I learned that she buys Jap-Kor-Chi drama DVDs since she couldn’t stand how slow it is being shown on TV. She even told us that she skipped a days’ work just to watch Meteor Garden from start to finish. ^^;; She did say that sometimes she already know the usual story – guy likes girl but likes someone else, etc but still wants to watch. I managed to get mom to ask so that we could borrow. Hehe She said that she will lend us one but the ending, much to her horror, is not functioning. She even watched the blue screen hoping to see something as her husband said that she might wreck the DVD player.
These are the older cousins and it is quite rare for them to go to party reunions. I did enjoy their company. It is well, amusing. Uncle who had surgery with photographer cousin spent an hour looking for the lost cousins. Well, uncle is very nice to even bother for he does try keeping peace at grandmother’s house where three relatives live. It is a war zone there based on the stories. I think the family’s history can be a soap opera already. Unfortunately, no happy ending is at site yet.
In the country, I don’t know what the actor aspirant was thinking when he is declaring himself as the winner of the elections when the counting haven’t even officially started at Congress. He claimed that if he wasn’t proclaimed he would take it to the streets. Jack-of-all-trades cousin said that is one reason he is going. He is not going to wait for another six years for the probable election of showbiz personalities which might include the son of the desposed president, the action star who got into the senate and then, he jests, maybe the king of comedy might jump in the game.
Mm..I wonder where would the county lead to if that ever happened.
