  • Vampire Knight [chapter 15-16]
    Wednesday, April 19, 2006 @ 10:04 p.m.

    Thanks to diwj, I’m updated with what’s happening in Vampire Knight. ^_^ So, in chapter 15, Zero dreamt about Shizuka Hiou, the woman who bit him and she talked about sharing the same bond as him. Back at the night class, Maria asked permission to use a separate dorm and was permitted. Then, there was news about having a dance party and it is the duty of the class with the lowest grade average being assigned to prepare the party as punishment. The class president warned Yuuki to study hard for her grades is pulling their class average down. He seemed to have a crush on Ruka and is the class nerd though he looked older than the other characters and finally, a guy in day class. Then, they saw Ichijou having his hands full with Maria, chasing her all over the place. Yuuki wanted to help but was stopped by Zero who warned her to stay away from Maria.

    Aidou then came and hugged Yuuki to make the other girls jealous of Yuuki. Zero asked to talk with Aidou and when they left, the other girls chased after Yuuki. Yuuki managed to escape and met with Ichijou who lost track of Maria when the girls chased after him. He told something important fact about pure bloods and that is pure bloods can make lower levels of vampires obey them by force though Kaname is different for he doesn’t want to force people to do things. Back with Zero and Aidou, Zero asked what is the relationship between Maria and Hiou. Aidou said that they are distant relatives of some sort. Zero asked again if it is possible for Hiou to change form. Aidou told him that only pure bloods know what their abilities are and before leaving, Aidou told him that Zero is the only one who has a ‘bond’ with that woman, Hiou. Zero then noticed Maria listening to their conversation and then she left.

    Later that night, the school head is having a hard time tutoring Yuuki and when Zero passed by, he passed on the job to Zero and escapes. While tutoring, Zero was holding his neck by the ‘tattoo’ where he was bitten. He became a bit thoughtful about being alive because of it even after all that has happened. Yuuki thought that there is something wrong with him and if he is sleepy so decided to get some coffee. Zero then held her from behind as Yuuki asked again what is wrong with him. I guess Zero showing affection is out of the norm. =P Elsewhere, Kaname and Maria are having a bit of chat. I guess Kaname has already guessed it and told Maria that she is playing as Maria answered back that isn’t he the same.

    Back to the other two, Yuuki then asked if Zero wanted her blood. Zero then said that it is because of Yuuki that he was able to live on then he bid Yuuki good night and remember what he had taught her – regarding the lesson. Zero then was walking towards Maria who was saying that he can sense ‘her’ because of the bond that they share. As Zero grabs her with his gun pointed at her heart, Maria said that the only thing that fills his mind is to kill her.

    In chapter 16, Maria taunts Zero to pull the trigger and to his surprise, he couldn’t. Maria teases him some more by saying that she is his master so he couldn’t kill her and that means he is just a mere servant to her. Zero manages to break from her ‘spell’ as he shoves her away and points the gun anew to her. Maria was happy that Zero tries to resist and that she chose him. She praised him for being able to recognize her in her new form. Meanwhile, Yuuki turned out to have followed Zero for he is acting weird only and just in time, as she hears Maria confess that she is indeed the one who bit Zero, Hiou. Maria told Zero that the body she has now isn’t hers and her bodyguard tosses a katana down to her. They fought. Yuuki tries to intervene but was pulled back by Kaname who doesn’t want her to get involved and well, he would be pretty happy if Zero is out of the way for he isn’t needed.

    Zero caught a glimpse of Yuuki being pulled back that he got slashed by Maria though Zero managed to wound her. Maria told him that she can’t move properly in that form and decided to play with him another day when their wounds are healed as Zero crouches down in pain. Maria warns him that bleeding can also cause a blood starvation. Maria leaves and gave her sword of her bodyguard/assistant/servant-whatever, Ichiru as she told him that she would rest until the next night. The next day, Yuuki woke up on her bed and had temporarily memory loss as she thought that she is forgetting something and that Zero didn’t appear in class for exams. Later on, the class president told Yuuki that they got the lowest grade because of her and that Zero wasn’t there to pull up the average so they would be on duty during the dance party. Yuuki then noticed Maria standing by a tree and remembered that ‘she is the enemy’ that she approached Maria. When confronted as to what she did to Zero, Maria then proposed something to Yuuki as exchange for saving Zero from going into level E.

    Zero then woke up and felt bad – must be bloodthirsty that he quickly left and found Yuuuki and others preparing for the party. Everyone was whispering why Zero is all bloodied as Zero asks where Maria is. Yuuki must have gotten her memories about the night erased by Kaname for she doesn’t remember why Zero was hurt. Zero tries to push her away as he told her to stay away from Maria. Yuuki told Zero that he isn’t fine as he claims to be and told him that he can drink her blood as she closes the doors. Zero then did had a bite and I guess bleeding does took away a lot of blood..being left there to bleed the whole night and probably day that his tattoo seemed to have grown larger. Yuuki then asked how does it taste like as Zero snaps back that it isn’t of her concern. Then, he bites for some more as Yuuki felt a bit scared of Zero and thought of Maria’s proposal of choosing between giving herself to Maria or killing Kaname in order to save Zero.

    Okay, I can’t believe that my wild theory that Maria is the ‘one’ is right. I’m guessing that she has the ability to possess other vampires as she mentioned about borrowing the body and I do wonder if the body she got into was sickly. I do wonder why she needs to be in another form. Is her real body wounded and needed to be healed or maybe she just want to be in disguise to hide from hunters? I find Maria/Hiou really interesting for a villainess. She really knows how to play her pawns and she wields a katana. ^_^ So we have two katana-wielding characters in this series, the other one being Ichijou. I still wonder what’s Kaname’s weapon is if he does have one. Base on the last scene, the story is becoming a power play between the pure bloods – Kaname and Maria, with Zero and Yuuki as their pawns to play with. I’m guessing that Maria is an advocate of playing with humans and making them into vampires whereas Kaname is more of a pacifist and well, more humane in comparison to other vampires. I do wonder who had influenced him to be that way for he was like that even before he met and saved Yuuki. I can see now why Kaname is eager to ‘get rid’ of Zero for he would be the reason for Maria to blackmail Yuuki. Maria did tested the waters well as she knew that Yuuki would do things against her own will just to ‘save someone’ for Yuuki is a nice girl. Kaname does seem to have a plan for Yuuki that he doesn’t want her to be involved with Maria and Zero. As for the proposition, I tend to think that Yuuki would lean more on letting Maria have her than to kill Kaname who is her crush. Isn’t the latter like what happened in the Little Mermaid? ^^;; Also, I don’t think Kaname would just stand back and let Maria harm Yuuki. Anyway, the dance party would be pretty interesting. ^_^ Would there be dance pairings? ^_^ Mm..I wonder if the theory about Ichiru being Zero’s younger brother could be true. Oh well, until the next chapter.

    Goong [chp. 80] and Penguin Revolution [chp. 17]
    Wednesday, April 19, 2006 @ 07:22 p.m.

    I was checking as to what happened to Spring Waltz after episode 12 since I can’t wait any longer only to learn that the drama has to suspend for a week because Daniel has hit the actor of Jae Ha so hard that he has to get operated on his birthday. The poor guy. Hopefully, he isn’t too scarred because of it and isn’t an actor’s face an important thing? I read though that the operation was successful. I do wonder if it is a scene different from the one in episode 12 wherein there is a punch scene. I feel sorry for the character Jae Ha, he got slapped by two woman and now punch by a guy. I was thinking maybe the actor was thinking that would be the last time he would work with an actor who can’t understand Korean. Hehehe According to the article, the story would get interesting when Jae Ha learns who Eun Young is. ^_^

    Goong [c. 80] is up in Billwang and luckily, according to the poster, someone in baidu has posted English translations for it. ^_^ The last chapter was 77 wherein Shin was found by Chae-Kyung in the clinic. Chapters 78-79 are not available. This chapter started with Yul and friends teasing/embarrassed Mei Zu, Yul’s fiancé by something they said and she doesn’t seem to happy about it. At Shin’s room, Yul was going to look at some papers – most probably Shin and Chae-Kyung’s divorce papers or their contract but Shin caught him and asked what he was doing there. Yul told him that he wanted to apologize earlier for the things that he have said during the wrestling match. Then, Chae-Kyung calls Yul which made Shin jealous for she was looking for Yul instead of him.

    At Chae-Kyung’s room, she confided that the jingfu, her royal robe which she brought to school earlier was missing. Yul told her that he will help her in asking to make a new one. Chae-Kyung then said that Yul is the one whom she can rely on and she wanted to be a good princess so that she can be a good queen. To Yul’s surprise, Chae-Kyung decided to give up on the divorce. Yul tried to tell about the papers he saw on Shin’s table but decided otherwise. Later on, Shin was thinking that he still couldn’t let Chae-Kyung go and went to her room just in time when she woke up, dreaming of her missing jingfu. He told her that he came to put new things on their contract? regarding not to meet Yul outside for it might harm his status as a future king. Shin kept talking about that as Chae-Kyung knew that Shin came for a different reason so she kept insisting what does he want. Shin then confessed that he just wanted to see her. ^_^ Chae-Kyung hugged him and told him that is how it should be and she was pretty happy that he was being truthful. Unfortunately, things can’t get moving, hehe, because Chae-Kyung is too sleepy and tired after looking for the jingfu.

    Shin’s admission

    The next day at school, Hyo Rin was opening her locker when the missing jingfu fell from her locker, all torn. Guess someone wanted to frame up Hyo Rin and I’m somewhat thinking that it could be Mei Zu since she seems to be the type to do such things – my bias – for no one seems to do underhand things except for Yul’s mother so it could be her, too. Mm..lately, there are many people who hates Hyo Rin. Anyway, regarding the contract that they are making, it is quite the same as the one in Full House. Hehehe This seems to be a monthly series.

    Things are pretty uneventful in Penguin Revolution [c. 17] or rather not that it interested me. Ryou was going to hit Narazaki when the director saw them and decided to tape the scene. Narazaki heard the clapper and got into the role, too. After the filming, Narazaki went to Yukari to tell her that he meant what he said and did. Yukari punched him in the stomach and told him that it is only this way that she could forgive him. Meanwhile, Ryou is in a daze of acting and felt good. He was only brought back to reality by Yukari who told him that he was great. Then at the manager’s meeting, Ryou managed to get in the top 3 actors in the company..well, the third after Ayaori and Kaname. I can’t seem to get interested into the showbiz part of this series as I did in Skip Beat! ^^;;

    End of Black Cat anime and some ramblings
    Tuesday, April 18, 2006 @ 03:51 p.m.

    I spend the whole day on bed yesterday because when I stood up after waking up, I felt dizzy, tired and nauseous. It was only around in the afternoon when I felt a bit better. I don’t know what happened for I didn’t overexert myself though I spend the other night cleaning/arranging the cds. Mom thought that it was because of the dust but this morning papers mentioned something about heat exhaustion and I did experience some of the symptoms. I guess it could be the heat though it was in the morning...I better start drinking more water. ^^;

    For the few nights, mom and I have been browsing over Spring Waltz raws. Things are indeed getting messy as Eun Young and Jae Ha has fallen for each other whereas everyone around them are against the relationship – aside from the other parties, Jae Ha’s parents. I have to commend Daniel Henessy’s acting here for his surprise, jealousy, hurt looks are really priceless as Philip. I do feel sorry for the ‘other guys’ in Korean dramas when they are pretty much perfect and yet the female lead doesn’t love them back. Oh well, that’s life. The ‘other girls’ tend to be bossy/manipulative and overly possessive so it is hard to feel sorry for them. Anyway, Jae Ha’s real father has already made an appearance on episode 12. I can’t wait for them to meet. If this series was a comedy, Jae Ha and Eun Young would probably beat the father to ‘death’ for ruining their lives. Lol. It is already half-way the story and the ending theme changed to a sad one. I guess that means that not-so-good things will start happening to the new couple.

    I finished Black Cat anime. What turned out to be a pretty good alternate way of telling the story in contrast to the manga ended up badly. It does feel as if everything is rushed at the end. So, the sweepers and chronos group went down to defeat Creed. The final battle was too easily finished and Creed retreats with forgot her name, the actress. The last few episodes focus on some rebel chronos who used Eve to create their new world with the remnants of Creed’s group. I guess they were not as stupid as to stick with crazy Creed. Everyone then helped each other again and as usual, the ending is blah..one shot at the flower which kept Eve and the end. Everyone went back to living their lives as Sven and Eve wait for Train’s return from his journey. I guess Train wanted to go sightseeing as a ‘free cat’. =P It is pretty amusing though that Creed became a painter and lives with the actress. If I do recall the manga’s ending as Train is living with Sven and Eve and it ended after the battle against Creed. So, both anime and manga ending doesn’t turn out that good of what was a good start.

    Days with aunts, jump title updates and ouran [chapter 35]
    Sunday, April 16, 2006 @ 05:03 p.m.

    First of all, Happy Easter Sunday! Haha, I have survived a couple more days with aunts. It felt as if I’m in a penitence or something. My patience is really tried and it’s hot but good thing, things haven’t turned really ugly. Hehehe The other day, we spend time at home and like children, they are kept from bugging me when they watch tv. Later at night, we went to visit sis’ house. Yesterday, we went to another aunt whose husband had Alchemizer’s disease. It is a bit hard on her lately, he has been cursing a lot though cheerful/laughing at times. In short, my uncle’s mental health is deteriorating. After that we went malling, we just bought a few cushions, placemats and flowers. It seems as if we are competing against this other neighbor with the number of plants. ^^; Finally, we sent one of the aunts home though she isn’t too happy since she didn’t get to buy a pair of shoes and the other one went home this morning. The house is nice and quiet again. ^_^

    Lots of blah in Bleach [c. 223]. The gist is pretty much Aizen wants to be king of dead souls society so he has to access a special place where the king resides using a key and in order to make that key, he needs a lot of souls of a certain place dictated by a certain time. Of course, that is the town where Ichigo and others live. Inoue and Rangiku head out to tell the others while Chad is shown to be practicing with Renji. It was said that the final battle would be on winter and I’m guessing that their present season currently is around autumn or after summer break. I wonder if the author plans on showing all the trainings and that would make the future chapters a bit boring.

    While in One Piece [c. 407], Chopper is still losing and finally forced to eat three rumble balls at once which transformed him into a huge monster reindeer. Outside, Franky got #4 key from big mouth and realized that #2 is with Califa so he goes off to help. Califa on the other hand is taking a bath as Nami couldn’t move. Califa taunts Nami about Nami suppose to be in a hurry and she won’t tell Nami what devil fruit she ate. Nami felt that her body is moving again and prepares to counterattack and what a counterattack it was – a huge electric blast. I wonder if Califa managed to evade it though evade or not, Califa was pretty surprised as to what hit her.

    I don’t quite like how things are turning out in Naruto [c. 303] as Sai is slowly being converted by Naruto. Character-wise it is good but then, those converted has become physically weak. Anyway, Kabuto already know of Sai’s disappearance and I do think that maybe in the next chapter, Sai would be helping them in getting Sasuke back but hopefully, I hope something better would happen. Light is having a pretty long dialogue in Death Note [c. 105] only to be countered by N though from the last scene, it does seem that Light is trying to stall time as he looks at his watch. Time for him to get out of the mess he got in?

    In Ouran High School Club [c. 35], the story continues on Bossa Nova trying to tone down his ‘villianious’ look but it is still with no success. Putting on cat ears while serving made him look like a wolf and he even agreed to putting on a maid uniform just to do it. That was hilarious. Then there is this guy, Tetsu?, one of Nova’s men, came and scream out of shock at what happened to him. It made Nova threaten him to leave and it was only when he left that Haruhi told him that he just scared someone off again. Nova then told them that the guy was a recent recruit in their gang and then wondered what he was doing there at school. Outside, Tetsu saw some boys talking and carrying a pail.

    Dressing up Nova -_-;;

    At school, Nova tries to be friendly by asking to carry Mori’s bag. Then, people noticed that Mori’s fingers are bandaged and they all ask about it. Nova was surprised as to how could everyone be friendly with him and not with him, even if he is wearing cat ears. Then, Mori shielded Nova from being hit by a pail from the window. Everyone quickly went to Mori asking about it as Nova tries to look at the window to see who threw it then Mori quickly closes the window to prevent rotten eggs from hitting Nova. At the club, they learned that Mori’s hands got hurt from protecting Nova.

    Mori protecting Nova incidents

    Nova was furious as to why they are not chasing after the culprit for they were just passing it as a curse or something. Nova left just when Tetsu came to ask for him. Nova was venting his frustrations over all things when he found a sparrow with a bandage and tries to be friendly with it. Haruhi found him and they bonded a bit as Nova thought that Haruhi isn’t afraid of him and his love for animals. Just then, someone threw gasoline?, at Haruhi thus staining her clothes. Just then, the club members had caught the culprits. The culprits are saying for Nova to return their ‘boss’ back to them. Nova felt happy that the club members helped him out because he is not a bad guy. It turned out that the boss of the culprits was Tetsu.

    Nova, Haruhi and a Sparrow

    Tetsu wanted be under Nova since when he was younger, Nova offered his umbrella to him when there was a rain. He also revealed that the other gang members knew of his nice heart and they just fake around. Nova accepted back the umbrella from Tetsu and asked where Haruhi was so that he can apologize to her. Honey told him that Haruhi is changing clothes so Nova went off. Everyone was happy until Kyoya pointed it out to Tamaki that that Haruhi is changing clothes and everyone was stunned. And so, Nova now also know of Haruhi’s ‘secret’. Hehehe I really have fun in this introduction of Nova’s arc- this being the second chapter if ever there is such an arc. ^^; I’m not quite sure yet if he would be a regular or just a temprorary cast but well, things would be interesting later on for Nova does somewhat like Haruhi. Hehe, still haven’t watch the anime, lately, wasn’t in the mood to watch anime. ^^;

    Visit to Uncle's house
    Friday, April 14, 2006 @ 12:11 p.m.

    As expected yesterday, I did got dragged to be with visiting an uncle. It didn’t help that I had another insomia attack the other night so I have sleepless nights for two nights and I’m getting a bit moody. Whiner aunt turned out to be a bad driver. I guess it could be because she haven’t drove for a long time but still, I do at times fear for my life. I noticed that she has a tendency to look at the side mirror as if sightseeing instead of looking what’s in front of her. We were in the opposite lane at one time! ^^; There are markers as to what lane the car should be in, she drives in the middle of it. She can’t estimate or see that the cars in front of her had already stopped that she kept on stopping abruptly. Maybe I shouldn’t sit in front. ^^;;

    We arrived at uncle’s house exactly at lunch time. During and after lunch, all they did is talk and talk – gossips and other things. It did remind me when I was a kid, my mom would visit her mom and relatives at the studio [where grandma works] and they kept on talking from afternoon up to night. It does seem silly when my parents wonder why kids talk for such a long time on phones. I went out the kitchen/dining room and found cousin playing with her new dog, a half-breed poodle. My cousin is lonely since all her sisters had gotten married or working abroad. She told me that she bought it and when she brought it home, her father was furious. It is really amusing for now, since I saw my uncle is playing with the dog as if it was his own kid. ^-^; I guess it reminded him of his younger days for he used to have a dog.

    By the time they went for a swim, I had a bit of trouble staying awake. Somehow, time passes and we ate dinner there, too then went home. Oh ya, during lunch, my uncle suddenly offered to give me a watch. I thought he was bluffing for he is somewhat known to be stingy and why all of a sudden. He first brought out this huge watch, Cartier, I think which could be mistaken for a guy’s. It didn’t look good on me since I’m thin. He then got another one, Louie Vitton and it is better. The strap needs another hole but otherwise, it is okay. He said it is from Korea and the vendor told him that he has to buy 3 in order to get a discount. He kept saying that it is from Korea and I’m guesing he could be wondering if it is okay with me if it is a bootleg. It doesn’t bother me though for I’m not after brand names/fake or not. And finally last night, I managed to get a good night sleep. ^_^

    End of Goong drama and other ramblings
    Wednesday, April 12, 2006 @ 08:01 p.m.

    It is pretty hot here. I guess around 30+C and pretty humid. My skin feels really sticky. Starting tomorrow up to Sunday, there would be no work because of Holy Week unfortunately, all stores/malls are closed, too. I would have wanted to go to some resort or something but then, everyone else would be there and it would be crowded, also, the price is quite expensive that it is like going abroad. So, I’m pretty much stuck at the house though it’s okay with me. My mom had invited her sister to stay here and luckily, got to be brainwashed to go to whiner aunt’s house so that is one day less stay-in at our house. Tomorrow night though, both aunts would be staying here. They plan to go visiting to other of their siblings tomorrow and might drag me along. It would be okay to have a road trip but then, I’m uneasy being with them aunts since I’m not that close with them or don’t know what to talk about without becoming gossipy.

    I’m into gaming lately or rather more on wanting to finish Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Ya, I played it all over again and finally reached the story part wherein Sora and others had came to Twilight town – the town where Roxas was in KH2. I somewhat got the strategy now for I practically breezed through it [more on attack cards rather than magic] and after two days of playing, I had finally reached where the program has deleted the save before. Yes! I do wonder if I got ‘over-stimulated’ that I couldn’t sleep last night. Hehehe Good thing that I don’t have a hand strain and I think it is because of handling the mouse that I got the strain before. Playing on the keyboard is somewhat like playing the piano and well, I am reminded of playing pianos because of Spring Waltz.

    Lots of interesting happenings in Spring Waltz and I can’t help theorize about things as I browsed through the raws and would just have to wait for the subs to clear things up and well, summarize what is happening. So far, Jae Ha and Eun Young had become close since Eun Young has started to work for him. I’m guessing that it is so that she can help her family pays off some debt from loan sharks. I’m beginning to feel sorry for Philip and Lee Na. I like how the plot is going though in regards as to the two are getting close to each other while not revealing yet that Jae Ha is Soon Ho and Eun Young is the same as Jae Ha’s childhood friend.

    My mom couldn’t wait for the subs and downloads of Goong that she bought a set from the store already. It is interesting that pirates, I’m thinking it is since it is already out has their own group of dubbers. Every Korean drama set she buys has the same irritating Chinese dubbers especially this woman’s voice. It seems to be Chinese [China] accent with the ‘r’ sound being heavy. The cover is on the foursome and Shin’s actor’s photo looks the best. He must have known which side of his face looks photogenic or something. So, the drama ended with the fire being blamed on Shin until Yul helped cleared him after learning that his mother is being vengeful and had used to be the lover of the present king. In the end, they went back to England. Hyo rin has already left, too, earlier in the episodes. Shin and Chae-kyung got together again after some time and re-married in their own free will at a church wedding. They then learned that she is pregnant for she is feeling nausea. I don’t recall them spending the night together though. ^^; But then, I don’t watch the entire series. Hehehe The big winner of all this is Shin’s sister. Yes, he has one in this series whereas in the manga, the baby hasn’t been born yet. Back to the sister, she ascends the throne and became Queen and obviously, Shin abdicated after all the scandals, etc and well, he does want out anyway so all ends well.

    It is surprising that my mom actually bought this series just to watch the ending and well, she laughed out loud in many scenes. You see, earlier, she has been saying that nothing is happening for they are just always fighting and being friendly then fighting...it does seem like Full House all over again. I guess some of it had subconsciously sunk into my mind that I got bored with it and well, the male lead’s outfits did me in, too. =P The ending is better than Full House though as to the resolution on how they finally stopped fighting. I do wonder if I would have enjoyed this series better if I didn’t read the manga. Overall, it is an okay series if you like Full House. The interior design [is it called art production?] was good for I like it – the colors, flower arrangement, etc. The actors/actresses are okay though not that engaging to me, well, coz I tend to think of their manga counterparts and that it is not the same especially Shin and Chae-kyung. Music is okay and I like ‘Perhaps Love’.

    Spring Waltz [episode 5-6] and Jump manga updates
    Saturday, April 8, 2006 @ 10:32 p.m.

    I watched Spring Waltz [e. 5-6] last night and I’m getting hooked into the series. The story continues with Jae Ha chasing after Eun Young at the crystal museum but fails to find her. Because of this, Jae Ha decided to take Lee Na’s offer on making a recording and went to Korea. To Lee Na’s disappointment, Jae Ha had quickly took off without meeting her at the airport. Jae Ha went to the hospital where Eun Young was confined before and tried to ask for her records if she really died during the operation. It was amusing when he doesn’t know what name to put on the request form – Jae Ha or Soon Ho. ^^; It turned out that only relatives can ask for it but since Jae Ha was being stubborn, the doc-clerk pitied on him and decided to help him find the record. The doc-clerk told him to return the next day for it was already past 15 years, the records they have there are only up to 10 years.

    Jae Ha managed to make it in time for a small presscon that Lee Na prepared for him. The reporters were wondering why now would he agree on making a recording when others have similar offers before. Jae Ha just told them that he is just going back to his roots. One reporter asked of a possibility of a childhood friend. Jae Ha shrug it off by saying no personal questions will be entertained. Lee Na was actually thinking that she is the reason. ^^; Back at the hotel, Philip is still head over heels with Eun Young and with Lee Na’s advice, he plans to ask the crytal contest organizer to help him get her contact number. That night, Jae Ha decided to go back to the night market that he had spend the night with Eun Young when they were kids. Then, after some roaming around and missed chances of meeting, Jae Ha saw Eun Young with her friend riding on a small pink truck. He tried to follow them in a taxi but he missed them because of a traffic light.

    The next day, Jae Ha went to the contest organizer but the secretary won’t give any personal information so Jae Ha left his number, saying he is a backer for her work. When he left, Philip came and tried to use his charms to woo the secretary to tell him but he also failed but then, he did learned that Eun Young’s stuff are sold from a pink truck. The two guys went to the night market though I don’t know how Philip had a clue where the pink truck was located and both found it at the same time. Just then, Eun Young went away to get some food for her friend. Jae Ha seeing Philip stopped and tried to hide himself but he saw Eun Young leaving so he followed her to a small ramen-kimbap resto. Jae Ha was dishearted when he learned that this Eun Young’s mother is the owner of the resto and a teen was her brother. He quickly left without paying but left his scarf. Eun Young tried to go after him but he walked away too fast though she got a glimpse of him. She wondered what is he doing there.

    Back at the pink truck, Eun Young’s friend thought that Philip is into him when he kept hanging around her. When Eun Young reached them, she told her friend that the cops are coming and well, they are illegal vendors on the street so they try to hurry and get away. The friend then got Philip into the back of the truck and sped away. Philip got all dizzy at the back and finally, Eun Young realized that Philip has also arrived in Korea. She tried to ask him if Jae Ha is with him since Philip said that he was there because of work but she didn’t manage too when he had a bit of impromptu Korean lesson from Eun Young’s friend. Back at the hotel, Jae Ha is drowning his frustration through liquor and playing the piano upon learning from the hospital that Eun Young did die because of complications in the surgery. He then remembers that his stepmother – thinking he was Jae Ha, asking him to play the piano when he can’t and he ended up banging the piano, also in real life that made Lee Na come in the room and ask what is the matter.

    Jae Ha then regrets coming back to Korea as he felt like a fool for going back in the hopes that Eun Young is still alive. He tried to back out of the contract and even injure his hand which made Lee Na angry that she slapped him for being mean to her after all what she did for him. She also mentioned about he isn’t like the Jae Ha she knew and Jae Ha shouted that back that she is the only one who noticed. Jae Ha then softened his stance when Lee Na was about to cry and they hugged each other for comfort I guess. Lee Na tried to ask him what is the matter but Jae Ha kept silent and asked her to call his name. I think he tried to psyche himself that he is now Jae Ha. That night, Eun Young brought Philip back to his hotel. Philip quickly reports to Jae Ha about it and tells Jae Ha to treat Eun Young more nicely next time. Before bedtime, Philip was thinking about Eun Young who in turns, seems to be intrigue about Jae Ha – I don’t know when she took a picture of him in the train while he was sleeping while Jae Ha is brooding and says his real Soon Ho to himself.

    The next day, Jae Ha, Philip, Lee Na are discussing about the songs to be recorded with other people as Jae Ha proposed a concept on spring and about a girl. Then, Eun Young came with a food delivery and as usual, spilled some hot sauce from the ramen on Jae Ha’s shoes. ^^; They didn’t get off with a good start again. While Lee Na and Philip got the food to the others, Jae Ha kept on staring at Eun Young who is getting uncomfortable. Jae Ha just told her that it is because she is still wearing her helmet that is why he is staring then asked where she grew up. She answered Seoul so it pretty much confirms to him that she isn’t the Eun Young that he knew before. When the other two came back, they chat a bit but Eun Young is feeling out of place so she excused herself. The trio then talked a bit about Eun Young as Philip is already talking about Eun Young as his destiny. Jae Ha told them that she is okay but asks them to call her in another name.

    Back at her small store, Eun Young was puzzled why Jae Ha was looking for her as told by the secretary from the contest and with some urgings from her friend, she decided to go back and give him his scarf and was thinking that he might be going to apologize for what happened to Austria though she was a bit doubtful for he didn’t mention when they met earlier. Upon arriving, Jae Ha came out since he got a bit bored at the meeting. She returned the scarf but their meeting turned sour when he was going to pay for the food he left earlier and tries to leave as soon as possible. Eun Young thought that he was being rude and he doesn’t answer why he was looking for her. She thought that he is trying to trick her or something since he introduced himself as a backer to the secretary.

    Your scarf back.

    She came back to her friend to grumble about Jae Ha whome they nicknamed as ‘Worst Luck’. Then, Philip came to help her sell all the stuff while her friend went away so that she could go out on a date with him. They played a bit of basketball and ate ramen in the truck. Philip confessed that her smile looked like his deceased mom that made him attracted to her and this made Eun Young remember her deceased mom. Meanwhile, Lee Na brought Jae Ha to the school where they used to study. She kept on talking on and on about the real Jae Ha that irked Jae Ha and made him running in the field and shouting. He then asked her what was the real Jae Ha like – being a mama’s boy and picky over things. He then told her about him – not picky and isn’t that good at studies because he has to play the piano, would she like the Jae Ha now. She nodded and so Jae Ha told her to think that this is the first time they met then they also went on a date by shopping.

    That night, Philip brought Eun Young to the piano room where Jae Ha practices and told her to wait for him as he goes get a gift for her. Eun Young played a bit on the piano then saw a box with a rag [inside the rag is the shell she made for Soon Ho] peeking out of it. She got curious and tried to look at it by opening the rag but Philip came in so she never got the chance. Philip tried to give her the green shoes that she wore in Austria and thinks that if it fits, she is the girl for him. He must like Cinderella. Eun Young was embarrassed and said that she could not accept the gift. Alas, the language barrier is making it hard for Philip to express himself for Eun Young has no idea what the heck he was saying in English. Just then, while Eun Young kept on stopping Philip from putting the shoes, the box fell down and Eun Young was holding it when Jae Ha and Lee Na came in. Jae Ha saw Eun Young holding his precious momento that his temper flared as he grabbed it and shouted at Eun Young leaving her and the others bewildered as to what came over him.

    The preview was interesting for it showed a scene Philip reprimanding Jae Ha I guess from shouting at the girl he likes. Hehehe I really find it amusing that Jae Ha kept on giving hints that he isn’t who she think he is to Lee Na but she still clueless. ^^; I guess she is too starry-eyed about him and thinks that being a piano prodigy, he must be an eccentric or something. For a manager, Philip isn’t doing that well for his talent, Jae Ha kept on disappearing that he doesn’t know where he is going and it would have been disastrous if Jae Ha didn’t made it on time at the presscon. I guess Philip must be also thinking that Jae Ha is being an eccentric for he always tell Lee Na that it is just the way he is – likes being alone as an alibi when Jae Ha doesn’t meet Lee Na’s expectations or rather not meeting her. As for Eun Young, she is pretty much the typical nice girl and I do wonder if the way Jae Ha is acting actually reminded her of the way Soon Ho was before.

    The director/writer makes this drama interesting by showing only some flashbacks and not explaining things on how things came about like why is Eun Young living with the family she has now. I really find Jae Ha’s character the most interesting in the group. He is pretty complicated though I think the theme of the drama could be how Eun Young would save him from his loneliness while the motif color is green since the rooms/backgrounds they use to film it tends to have that color. The current season suits it, too from winter/coldness to spring/re-birth. I could say that since I had peeked into the raws [couldn’t stop myself from not being spoiled ^^;] though I would have to wait for the soft subs. Philip is being charming and all though I think he is a bit too fast. It is amazing that he is good friends with Jae Ha who is his opposite. I do feel sorry for Lee Na, she is too blind in love to see that the Jae Ha she fell in love is gone and this one is a fake. Oh ya, Eun Young’s younger brother is pretty cute. =P I like the ost that I downloaded it and listen to it from time to time. I guess I appreciate it since there are piano pieces. Anyway, things would be fun when they realize who’s who...so far, this drama is pretty good whereas Goong, I just watch the middle parts skippingly since I got bored with it. A reason could be because I read the manga and I don’t like how the scenes are made and the lead characters are acting. I’m thinking that whoever made the wardrobe here for the male leads is the one who also did it for Full House. ^^; The style is a bit the same and I don’t like it for it is a bit ‘gayish’ looking for me though there are some of Shin’s clothes that I like – the ones that make him look bsho. I might start watching the last few episodes just to see how the drama ends.

    In Naruto [c. 302], Kabuto locked Sai in a room and when alone, Sai took out a scroll which made a book and he was reading the book. Then, Naruto and others managed to find him and since Sai is a bad liar that even Naruto knew he was lying, it was revealed that he was indeed the mediator for his boss and Orochimaru to try to invade Leaf village again. Just then, Kabuto is about to return to Sai’s room for he left the notebook that Sai gave him in there. I wonder if the book reading powers Sai has is about copying techniques and it would be interesting how it is done..I’m thinking of a possibility that he is copying Sasuke’s technique for he was the only one who actually used a technique on Sai directly. It is sad to see Naruto is still a bit immature and cannot do missions alone for being hot headed for twice in this chapter he was reprimanded – once for wanting to blow the place up that can make Orochimaru know that they are there and the second is when he is shouting at Sai that Sakura also has to tell him to be quiet. I was earlier thinking that Sai has no right to say that Sasuke is a traitor and such to Naruto when he is also one but then, I guess Sai is thinking of it as a traitor to one’s duty for Sai is just doing what he was ordered to do and not for personal reasons. Anyway, next chapter’s title is Betrayal so I wonder if it meant about Sai’s boss betrayal or something else.

    Nothing much happened in Bleach [c. 222] as Ichigo concludes his training to become stronger by returning back to the real world [instead of a mask just cracking like before, this time it is his whole body as if going out of the shell] and apologing to anti-Ichigo [zanpaku] for he won’t be letting him get ‘control’ again. Inoue was walking home when she felt Ichigo’s presence and thought that he is fine. She then wonders about her other classmates being absent and Tatsuki from being a bit different when a neighbor told him that her boarders had brought a weird gadget. She rushed home to see a huge tv screen set up in the room. Hitsugaya was reporting to Yamato as Yamato was about to tell them of Aizen’s true goals. So, next chapter would be interesting.

    While in One Piece [c. 406], Franky finishes off his fight with big mouth CP9 by pinning him down to prevent him from spinning/moving then gunning him down. Meanwhile, Zoro and Usopp/Sogeking are still running away. Usopp asked Zoro to carry him for he is tired of running but Zoro wouldn’t. Then, Jabura and Kaku started quarrelling so while running, Zoro proposed to Sogeking that he has a plan. He wanted to play jakenpon and who loses would have to chop of his hand and go to Chopper. Sogeking shouted for him to shut up and that made Jabura and Kaku remember that they are after their prey. Zoro has another proposition and that is to make Sogeking his ‘sword’ as he poses to fight while Sogeking cries for a lawyer and asks for Chopper to hurry. Meanwhile, Chopper is having a hard time fighting octopus hair for even if he changes into different shapes and landed a hit on octopus hair it was still no use. The last scene was octopus hair shaping his hair into fingers and stabbing them at Chopper like how Lucci did to Luffy before. Zoro and Sogeking’s scene was really funny. Poor Sogeking. I guess next chapter would be more on Chopper and it turned out that the author was sick last week that there was no chapter. It’s good that he is well now.

    Wild Arms 4 and Blood+ [chapter 8]
    Friday, April 7, 2006 @ 12:15 p.m.

    Haha..I had indeed finished Wild Arms 4 last night. The last boss was easier than I thought though I need to try at least twice because of bad strategy on my part. So, Jude managed to free his dad from the negativity of the arms and it was a bit sad for now he really is an orphan. In the end, after 10 years, Jude has become a forester which was quite surpring for he doesn’t seem to be the loner type even though he has animals for company. Yulie ended up as a school teacher and pretty much suitable for her character though she does reminds me of Yanagi of Flame of Recca. Arnaud and Raquel did got married unfortunately, they never found a cure for Raquel. She did left Arnaud a daughter to help him in a store, which seems to be a bar.

    The common theme of the story is war is bad and good intentions doesn’t always ended up good. I can’t be emphatic with the villains for each is a bit stereotypical and well, get killed one by one though some manage to have a shining moment by helping the protagonists before they die. Promises tend to be broken here, too. Kresnik is pretty much doomed to die broke his promise to Yulie but managed to help her in other ways by giving his arm to Jude. The other one is the promise of the foursome to meet again when Raquel got cured. They never did since Raquel doesn’t get cured. Overall, the story is below average though gameplay is okay. I specially made Jude pretty powerful though the most powerful character is Raquel though she tends to be ‘slow’ since it takes a bit of time before it is her turn and lastly, the useless one though that is pretty much her job is Yulie – she just cures and easily get defeated that at times, I don’t bother resurrected her with any revive fruit which are limited. Now, to concentrate on Shadow Hearts 3.

    In Blood+ [c. 8], Saya was shocked by Mui’s change as Hagi came to rescue her. When Saya regained her senses, she vent out on Hagi as to why he didn’t tell her that chiropterans were humans. She asked him how to change Mui back. The only answer that Hagi could give her was that she is the only one who could do it – kill the chiropterans. Saya screams as she shouted that she could not do it. Back to David and the others, David observed that what is happening is pretty much like what had happened before in Vietnam and wonders where Saya is. Some army then called for them to escape while going out of the house, they heard Kai’s scream. Kai is freaking out over all the dead bodies around. Kai saw them and said that he was after Hagi when a chiropteran was behind him. David used his body to shield Kai as he guns the chiropteran. They all try to help David who was wounded. He was carrying a cross with a jewel? in the middle as he said that he doesn’t want it to happen again. David then screams out to Saya shouting that chiropterans are indeed humans and it is only she who can kill them thus saving them. Saya then decided to fight and had some of Hagi’s blood even though she might change back to who she was before.

    In some dark room with dolls, Diva asks if it was Solomon who used her song. Anshel then came in to ask what it was. Diva then says that the sleeping child has ‘awakened’. Back at the forest, Saya then speaks in English as she asked for Hagi her sword and apologizes to Mui as she goes on a killing spree. At another place, Riku and Karl are still bonding when Vin came. Karl asked Vin why did they use the song. Vin told him that it was Solomon’s wish. Then for some reason, Karl ripped his own heart out and gave it to Vin saying something about not betraying him. Vin returned the heart and said that he shouldn’t say things like that or else, he won’t like him. Karl reaches out for Riku who has just freaked out from the scene has slapped away Karl’s hand then tries to make up for it and apologizes. Unfortunately, Karl has closed his outreached hand and said that this is pretty unlike of him. Karl then slaps Vin and reprimands him. Vin then announces his loyalty to Karl. Karl then goes out of the room to get Saya. Riku tried to call him back but Vin stopped him and gave him a candy saying that he shouldn’t go out unless he wanted to see some monster have fun. Riku then regrets what he has done. Outside, Solomon told Karl that that is way it should be for Karl is destined to be alone and he should get involved with humans. He told Karl that he would fight with Saya as there is a box containing an arm and Karl is shown with a stumple for his right arm. I recall that Saya has sliced off his arm before in their fight. Solomon then looks at the monitors saying that Saya is his bride and the splashing of the blood everywhere looks nice. He can’t wait to meet her. At the forest, as Saya fights/kills and everyone looks on, Saya thought that the hazy memories are becoming clearer and that her enemy is ‘Diver’.

    I guess Diver is Diva. The Diva here is pretty much different from the anime. She seems to be a bit of a gothic Lolita from the dress but definitely looking a lot scarier and well, she is fully conscious. The plot in the manga is moving faster than the anime in comparison of what had happened in the Vietnam arc. Saya is a bit different, too. In the anime, she is a bit indecisive while here, she doesn’t angst/emote too much and did what she have to do before there are any more casualties as compared to what happened in the Vietnam arc. Also, she seemed to have already regained her past memories whereas in the anime, it would be in the Russia arc. I do wonder what happened to Karl in the anime for he just disappeared. I have a feeling that Karl in manga might be doomed to die. This chapter is indeed graphic and gory that I didn’t bother with pictures this time.

    Random blahs on anime and gaming
    Thursday, April 6, 2006 @ 07:36 p.m.

    Spring anime season has started. From reading anime blogs, the ones that I’m interested on are: Nana which was said to be a better adaptation as compared to Paradise Kiss but then, I haven’t read PK so I can’t really compare, Ouran High School Host Club was also said to be good and faithful to the manga, and School Rumble 2nd term that is if the last one is subbed. I’m a bit disappointed with Gintama since the first episode is a basic introduction of the cast when I thought they would follow the manga. I reminded me of what happened to Getbackers. Disgaea would depend if it gets better later on and well, I do have the game but haven’t played it yet. ^^; I might also watch Xxxholic since from screencaps of its preview, the art and colors looked okay. The rest depends on reviews on a few more episodes and well, if they are subbed. ^^;

    On gaming, Suikoden V’s plot is interesting. Instead of the usual ordinary soldier-type as the hero, it is now a prince. There are politics in it, too so it is quite interesting in a game, not in real life though. The prince is regarded as ‘useless’ in a Queendom. His mother has a rune, which affected her personality that made her cruel to a certain town that has betrayed her. Currently, from where I had stopped playing, the prince has been inspecting the possible candidates to be married to his sister who would be Queen. I do wonder if the two siblings would be enemies later on. I have checked out Kingdom Hearts 2, wow, the cg of the opening are really nice. The story started with a boy named Roxas and strange things are happening around him that I somewhat feel sorry for him. Sora seems to be inside him or something and Namine has been helping him get a clue as to what is happening. This game can be quite addictive. I somewhat think that I should try to play KH:Chain of Memories again [I stopped before when my ‘save’ was wiped out], to see who is Roxas before and what exactly happened. I don’t think that it would recap detailedly.

    I really need to finish Wild Arms 4 and I’m already in the final dungeon. So far, the story is indeed not that good and I’m not attached to any characters. I just want to finish it to get it over with. The reason why is because I’m playing Shadow Hearts 3. Even though I’m getting irritated with the battles since my characters are weak but still, getting them power up or getting their special abilities and looking for stuff is somewhat addictive, except for Hilda’s calorie meter. Nothing much is happening plotwise, the search for the hunchback professor has been sidetracked by helping out Al Capone who is looking for his sister. But then, it is pretty much like the previous SH – the plot unfolds slowly. Oh ya, speaking of games, diwj is right, from a blog, FF12 is indeed a rip-off of Star Wars since the characters has similarities with the cast of Star Wars so the focus isn’t a love story as in 8 and 10.

    Skip Beat! chapter 85
    Tuesday, April 4, 2006 @ 05:31 p.m.

    Skip Beat! [c.85] started with Kyouko going to enjoy herself at the hot spring bath alone since Itsumi is a bit embarrassed going there and be naked in front of strangers. Kyouko had grown up at an inn so it doesn’t bother her. To her surprise, Shouko came in to join her. Kyouko was a bit embarrassed since Shouko’s body is prettier than hers. Kyouko then learns that Shouko actually planned to be an actress but when she realized she has no talent, she has quit. She still wanted to be connected to the showbiz world so she became a manager. Then Shouko thinks to herself that she thought that she already knew Shou but it seem she still doesn’t. She remembers that Shou ripped the song sheets apart and decided to make the song at the last minute so that there is low chances of it being copied. Shouko wonders how Shou could be so confident when earlier, he wasn’t. Kyouko looks at Shouko thinking that Shou is giving Shouko problems.

    Outside, Shou is waiting for Shouko to finish her bath when the Vie Ghoul band came. Shou remembered Kyouko calling them beagles and he imagined them as beagles that he suddenly laughed out loud, surprising the group. They all thought that Shou has some loose screws in the head to laugh like that for he should be afraid of them not laughing at them. They thought that Shou haven’t realized that he was the one they are copying and found Shou pitiful. Shou got a bit angry that they are insulting him. Reino said that it doesn’t matter if he laughs at them for later on, they would crush him. Then, Reino holds his chest and looked towards the bath. The others thought that Reino is seeing another beautiful ghost when out of the baths, came Kyouko who went ahead of Shouko. Everyone was surprised that it was Kyouko whom Reino is eyeing on.

    Kyouko couldn’t believe that she got into this situation when Reino greeted her about meeting earlier. Kyouko denied having met him but Reino told her that their eyes met. Reino then ‘flirted’ with Kyouko by saying that her wet hair and being in robes make her look a bit erotic as he touched her hair. Then, to Reino’s surprise and Kyouko’s shock, Shou pressed on her head hard to snap her out of it. The two then fought as Shou told her not to stand dumbfoundly just when a guy praises her and not to confuse ‘erotic’ with ‘sexy’. Kyouko denies it as she tries to hit Shou with her bag. The other members of Vie Ghoul asked if the two are a couple. The two then stopped their little fight and deny it to death as they declare that they are only childhood friends. Kyouko then added not to think that there is ‘love’ between them. Shou looked a bit thoughtful and looked at Kyouko as Kyouko asked what it is. Shou said it was nothing.

    Snap out of it!

    The other member then said to Reino that they plan on taking everything from Shou and it does seem that Kyouko isn’t included since she isn’t his girlfriend and she is so plain that she isn’t a match for Reino. Reino then said that it doesn’t matter if Kyouko is Shou’s or not, as long as it is her. Shou and Kyouko was surprised by what he said just when Shouko has came out of the bath, wondering what happened. Kyouko quickly returned to her room and shut the door, which surprised Itsumi. Itsumi thought that Kyouko looked pale and wondered if she caught a chill so she prepares some warm bath for Kyouko. Itsumi asked why she didn’t wear her coat on the way there. Kyouko then thought about what Shou said about why she was just standing there when Reino has touched her. Thinking of it, gives Kyouko the chills.

    Itsumi then told Kyouko that her mobile phone has been ringing for some time. Kyouko then returned call to Ren as she still remembers what happened earlier and thought that if Shou wasn’t there, she doesn’t know what could have happened to her and what if she meets Reino again. Ren answers the phone and asks about her since she is not saying anything. Kyouko thought that she felt scared. And the chapter ends there.

    It is pretty much established now that Reino is attracted to Kyouko and well, Kyouko doesn’t really know how to handle him. It is not really suprising since it does seem that Kyouko’s life revolve around two guys – Shou and Ren and when a new guy came and coming on strong, she isn’t experienced to know how to react. It is interesting that Shou was surprised at Kyouko’s denial on anything regarding love has happened between them. I do wonder what did Shou ever do to Reino that made him want to get everything from Shou for it does seem revenge to me. Maybe he is from their childhood, too for Kyouko did mention earlier that Reino reminded her of someone she can’t remember.

    Trip to HK and updates on some Jump titles
    Monday, April 3, 2006 @ 06:03 p.m.

    I’m back. The trip was okay though it didn’t got off at a good start. It is not a good idea to go on a trip so early in the morning that I only got around 3 hours of sleep. ^^; The weather is nice since it is still cold in Hong Kong. The first two days, we just walk around the area since we stayed at a hotel near the shopping area, Causeway Bay. I got lost around 2-3 times but actually it was the correct alternate route, I just chickened out when mom started to freak that we are in a different place. I should have stayed calm and look at the map to see that we are actually near the hotel, just turn in one corner. ^^; It dawned to me that if this is Amazing race, I would be the first one to be out of the race. ^^;

    The afternoon of the second day, we have to rush off to Central to get this camera that my uncle asked us on that day to get. ^^; Then, we went to Pacific Place to get this bag my sis bought before fixed for she didn’t notice that it was damaged when she bought it. It is a good thing that they didn’t charge for it anymore. Then, we ate at this food court. I remembered seeing this place in tv before at Arirang that features different restos, unfortunately, I don’t quite like the taste of the food there but then, I'm very picky with food. ^^;

    At Admiralty

    Then, on the third day, we went to Disneyland. It was not that big and we just went to shows and only one ride, Buzzlight Year. By the time that we could ride rides, my sis and mom are not feeling well so we went back to the hotel. Among the shows, the 3D show is the one I like the most. It is amusing to see the kids thinking that the objects really popped out of the screen. The nice thing on ‘Golden Mickeys’ is the bubbles that stay afloat for a long time during the Little Mermaid scene while on the ah, festival of the Lion King, the one who sang as Scar is actually good though I think the imagery doesn’t fit to everyone’s taste for my sis don’t like it. We watched the parade and got good seats even though it is really hot there compared to downtown/city. While here, I suddenly remembered that Kingdom Hearts 2 is already out. ^^; Before leaving, sis had some ambush photography with the mascots. I suddenly realized what its like to be a paparazzi as I chase sis as she walk with the mascots who had a bathroom break [we are lazy to wait in the long lines]. I managed to get some pictures ^_^

    Disneyland HK

    On the fourth day, mom and I went to Sino center. We went to early for we wanted to use up the one day pass at mtr before 1030am. It turned out that the shops opens in the afternoon so we ate lunch and came back but still only a few shops are open. I bought some manga and artbooks. I tried to find the shop where my bro bought lots of anime figures unfortunately, the shop has already closed. There is a toy center building there but still closed so we walked elsewhere then found the ladies market but ended up not buying anything there. We went back to that closed shop and I read a sign about manga bookstore so we head to the upper floor and I bought a few more artbooks. We went back to the Toy Center and finally able to buy a couple of figures, one of which is for Asher. I realized that anime goods/art books then not to be re-supplied once it has already been sold off. We then went back to the hotel to rest a few hours then head back out to shop around the area again – back to Sogo and bought a couple of artbooks at the Asahiya bookstore.

    Anime/manga stuff I bought

    The last day, I went with mom for some last minute shopping and finally head to the airport. I ate at this ramen resto that I always saw in HK and it was pretty good. I don’t quite like the rice toppings here for I felt that they are oily. The Beard Papa here was really yummy much yummier than the ones sold here especially the cream. And there was this bread with tuna topping at this café that I ate for dinner. It is pretty oily when re-heated but it was incredibly soft. The bookstores in the airport doesn’t sell manga anymore. Oh ya, I did find a couple of manga rental/read any manga in the place and charge by the hour – I thought they are selling manga. ^^; Then we went back here though the flight is a bit delayed for someone has back out at the last minute and they have to get his bags from the plane. On the way, my mom was seated next to a OFW [overseas Filipino worker] and as usual, my mom asks stuff about it – salary, how’s life, etc.

    I’m a bit tired and sleepy also perhaps adjusting to the weather here which is hotter by 10C. My face had developed rashes that I don’t want to have my picture taken that much for they would look awful. On the first day, I had even pulled a muscle at the back of my right knee. I have to buy a bandage for support. It manages to held up except when going on the stairs which tend to be painful. I had gotten a bit ‘addicted’ to the trains there. It is fun going on and off stations at such a fast pace and watching people moving around unmindful of anyone. I guess it does seem feel ‘at home’ that around me are all Chinese descent though talking in unfamiliar language, Cantonese. Their English is even a bit hard to understand. Everyone is using their cellphones freely unlike here, one is afraid that a thief would grab for it. Also, I’m glad that my crappy Chinese has somewhat improved that I can read some words already and well, find that manga bookstore located in the upper floor of a building. It does seem that manga shops tend to be located in upper floors rather than the ground floor. Overall, ya, the trip is okay and would like to go on a trip again maybe later on, after earning more money again for it. Hehehe

    In Death Note [c.103], it does seem that Light’s goose is cook. I had already somewhat assumed this when I heard that there is a rumor of a part 3 so I’m guessing that it is in part 2 where Light would actually lose now, how would he be able to get away from there remains to be seen. While in Naruto [c. 301], Sai and Sasuke met and it didn’t go well either as Sasuke doesn’t care for Sai and just want Orochimaru to train him. Meanwhile, Naruto and others are about to go into Orochimaru’s lair and get Sasuke back. Sai really sticks out here for he doesn’t belong in any group or unwanted by any group. It does seem Sasuke has known his importance that he can even bully Orochimaru around. With such attitude, I highly doubt that Naruto would be able to get him back.

    While in Bleach [c. 221], Ichigo remembered what Kenpachi told him about wanting to fight to become stronger and that it is their instinct. Ichigo used this words to get back at anti-Ichigo who had admitted defeat but told Ichigo not to take it easy for he would still try to be the ‘king’ and something exploded while in real life, the left shoulder of hollow Ichigo exploded and the vizards are surprised. So next week is the aftermath of the training and well, hopefully some info on Aizen from vizards as to how they knew about it. Seeing Ichigo’s gooffy face at the start reminded me of missing the comedy in this manga. ^^; There are still no scans on One Piece though, maybe there is no chapter this week.

    One Piece [c.405], Bleach [c.220] and Skip Beat! [c.83-84]
    Monday, March 27, 2006 @ 10:38 p.m.

    The Jump titles this week isn’t that good though Naruto was. I have started reading Naruto again lately because the arc is interesting, well, I’m interested in a new char, Sai and well, the story is not the usual saving-someone arc [+ really long fights] though it is a bit since they are now going to try and get Sasuke back. Hopefully, what happens or how this arc turns out is better than the last few arcs.

    In One Piece [c. 405], the fight of Franky and bigmouth CP9 isn’t over yet as they fell over the waterfall while fighting but Franky managed to save himself by clinging on to bigmouth as they go to shore and both have thought of something to defeat the other while Chopper has to deal with octopushair CP9 who managed to get out of the fridge after eating some of the food there. I didn’t expect that fight to be not over yet I guess the author has something in mind about it. I’m guessing that somehow Franky would get to be near Luffy so that he could at least get his revenge on Spandam. While in Bleach [c.220], the vizards are still fighting Ichigo’s body that is becoming more and more like a hollow. If Ichigo doesn’t finish things up quickly, they would have to kill him. While beating up Ichigo, anti-Ichigo kept on ranting about ‘king and the horse’ if the king is weak, then, the horse would take over – something like that and asks why Ichigo has to use ‘saving people’ as an excuse to defeat/fight. Anti-ichigo then stabbed the zanpaku into Ichigo. Ichigo then thought about wanting to fight and about a sword, he grabbed the sword and it changed into black again. It surprised anti-ichigo that he quickly let go as Ichigo looks at him. Nothing much here as Ichigo gained back his zanpaku though it is sticking into his stomach. ^^;

    In Skip Beat! [c.83-84], Kyouko is getting ready for the shooting in this resort area. She even packed her daruma doll and ‘corn’. The landlady then checked up on her and asked if she ‘likes’ someone. Kyouko denies it and when the landlady left, Kyouko thought that she had made sure that she would never fall in love again. It turned out that the landlady was asking because her husband wanted to know – he was acting like a father. Then, Ren called to ask if she has already packed and warns her to be careful and not do anything to create a scandal. Kyouko thought that he was treating her like a child but somehow, it made her feel peaceful and her mood light. On Ren’s aparment, it turned out that he was watching Shou’s PV that he didn’t hang up when Kyouko had already hung up the mobile phone.

    Going to a resort ^_^

    Kyouko and others have already arrived at the shooting area while Ren would join them after three days since he has a photo shoot at a different place. While resting, Ren and Yashiro overheard some guys talking about Kyouko whom one of them has a crush on her. Yashiro then tries to tease Ren about it but Ren casually told him that to survive in showbiz, one must have fans. Yashiro then wonders about the possibility of someone trying to get to her and of the possibility of the ‘two’ meeting together. It seemed that the shooting area of Dark Moon has a famous studio where singers tend to do their recording. Then while Itzumi and Kyouko were talking about the actors not knowing much singers and vice-versa for they tend to be limited to their fields. Just then, they saw Shou.

    Back to Ren, while doing the photo shoot, Ren thought that he watched Shou’s PV after Yashiro wondered what could have Shou thought when Kyouko had became really pretty. He wanted to make sure that there was nothing to it and kept thinking that Shou has already ‘gave’ Kyouko up so he has no right to ‘mess’ Kyouko up anymore. Back to Kyouko, nothing much is happening that Ren thought would for she had just brought Shou back to Shouko. She told her that it is rest day that day and the shooting would begin next day. Shouko asked where have he went to. Shou tried to tell her that he was just walking but Kyouko exposed the truth about bumming around. Kyouko then scolded Shou about not being serious about work and letting the ‘Beagles’ [Kyouko’s name for Vie Ghoul] work him up. After hearing that, Shou kept on laughing at the name Kyouko gave to the group.

    Bwahaha..beagles!

    Shouko then thanked Kyouko for lifting Shou’s spirits up and it is the first time she has heard him actually laughing out loud. While looking at some music instruments display, Kyouko wondered what could have made Shou ran away when she saw Reino, the vocalist of Vie Ghoul at the lounge. She realized that they followed Shou all the way there to use the same studio he was using. Reino then noticed her and looked her way. Kyouko quickly retreated. It was then revealed that Reino was a spiritualist – can talk to spirits/ghost, which could explain his attraction to Kyouko’s demons. Outside, Kyouko felt a chill and then thought that somehow, he was the same as a certain person. At Shou’s room, Shou still can’t get over the word ‘Beagles’ and realized that it has been a long time since he laughed out loud like that. Then, he thought of Kyouko – whom he had laughted out like with before and thought that she is still the same as before. Shou then remembered what Shouko told him that there must be a spy among their group that Vie Ghoul were even there and making a song similar to his. Then, Shou remembered Kyouko calling him a coward, he then decided to fight back.

    Hehehe..Ren is getting jealous and insecure of Shou especially since he is Kyouko’s childhood friend and well, they did spend a lot of time together. Kyouko managed to get Shou to fight back to Vie Ghoul and I guess Shou would show what he is made of. It is really frustrating to have an rival copying what one does and making it seem better than the original. I do wonder who Reino reminded Kyouko of.

    I’ll be going to Hong Kong on Wednesday and would return on Sunday so no new entries until then. ^_^

    Spring Waltz [e. 2-4], Mushishi [e. 18-20 end] and V.B.Rose [vol. 3]
    Friday, March 24, 2006 @ 10:46 p.m.

    After watching Spring Waltz [e. 2-4], I somewhat came to like this drama as I can’t help theorizing what will happen. Episodes 2-4 and half is about the childhood history of Jae Ha and Eun Young. It turned out that Jae Ha isn’t his real name but it is Soon Ho. His father is a gambler who kept on leaving Soon Ho as he try to find work/money. He left him in the island hometown expecting his father to raise Soon Ho but it turned out that his father has already passed away. He lied to Eun Young’s mother by saying that they lived in the States and he has things to do so he would live Soon Ho with them. Soon Ho was against the idea but he was duped by his father and has no choice but to live there and soon grew to like Eun Young who was being nice to him.

    Childhood memories

    Then, comes a time when Soon Ho confess to Eun Young that he never been to the States and everything is a lie. His father came back only to steal the money that Eun Young needed for her surgery. Eun Young’s mother went to Seoul to try to find Soon Ho’s father but to no avail. Soon Ho was maltreated at the island because of the lies and what his father did. He tries to escape by boat [going to Seoul to find his father and return the money] only to be discovered by Eun Young who ended up being at the boat. They found themselves in another island. While there, Eun Young’s mother was very discouraged when she can’t find Soon Ho’s father when she got into a car accident and die. Soon Ho and Eun Young manage to stowaway to Seoul but they don’t have luck in finding his father either. Just then, Eun Young got sick and Soon Ho has to bring her to the hospital.

    This is where Soon Ho’s life changing moment happened. The doctors said that Eun Young needed surgery to survive. Soon Ho tried to steal but was caught. He was saved by this guy whose son looked like Soon Ho. It turned out that their son, Jae Ha has already died and it distress his wife so much that she tried to commit suicide. Soon Ho agreed to get himself adopted or pretend to be Jae Ha in return, the guy would pay for Eun Young’s surgery. The guy told him that he can return just as soon as his wife become mentally stable. Back to the present, Philip invited Eun Young to the party afterwards. Philip even gave her a gown and shoes for the occasion. Because of Philip joking that Eun Young was his girlfriend, Jae Ha thought that she was a flirt and tried to hit on him on the train ride so the two quarreled. When Eun Young left, Philip managed to get her to stay at the same hotel as they did. The next day, Eun Young left and left a seashell she made as thanks to Philip. When Jae Ha saw it and learns that her name is Eun Young, he quickly drives to Crystal Museum where she was suppose to go to check, I guess, if she was his childhood friend. Apparently, his foster parents told him that Eun Young died during the surgery so that he would give up wanting to return to Seoul.

    As usual, the scenes are really beautiful and learned that the theme song I like is One Love. It’s really nice and suits the mood of the drama. I do find it funny that Philip kept on speaking in English when in fact, Eun Young doesn’t understand a thing he is saying. It is also peculiar that Eun Young would be carrying a seashell she designed. Does she have extra ones to give away as thanks. ^^; I am a bit curious as to what Jae Ha told Philip about her..like did he told Philip that they met at the train so Philip went rushing off to pick Eun Young up when she left the party? I do somewhat felt sorry for Lee Na. Jae Ha alternates from being rude to nice to her and she did notice that he is a bit different from before. Poor girl, it is a different person for the one whom she met at the piano contest/performance and whom she promised to marry has already died. She did mention that she is interested in the new Jae Ha. I do wonder if it is better for him to tell her that he isn’t the real Jae Ha. And well, I do find Jae Ha as the interesting person in this drama after what he has gone through. It was really good that he turned out to be good in playing the piano that he managed to totally take the name of ‘Jae Ha’. No wonder when Lee Na mentioned him to Eun Young at the plane, she doesn’t know her. Jae Ha has three names. I guess he had become cold-hearted all those years.

    Watching this, I do think they used some elements that are in the previous installments. The childhood flashback is like in Autumn Tale. Thinking one is dead is like in Winter Sonata. Having a heart ailment [Eun Young] is like in Summer Scent. I’m guessing that it is only halfway through the story when they would learn who’s who and by then, a new tradegy/situation would happen. In Autumn, it is leukemia. In Winter, it is blindness. In Summer, it is heart problem. Wonder what it would be in Spring. ^^;; I do wonder what is Jae Ha’s reaction when he meets his father and well, in regards to Eun Young, well, she might be saying, what happened to you, insulting me and everything. Hehehe Mm..I do wonder from whom would she learn about what he did for her to have her surgery. Anyway, from the preview, they would be all returning to Korea and Jae Ha’s search for Eun Young has started much like the search in Autumn Tale.

    And, Mushishi anime ended at episode 20. Episode 18 is about a coat with a painting of one’s hometown with the lesson, one should remember to go back to one’s roots. Episode 19 is about love can conquer all as a girl was caught up by a mushi and she can only stay human/visible as long as her lover later husband, recognizes her existence until in the end, she doesn’t disappear anymore. Episode 20 is about this girl, Tanyu who has a sealed up mushi on her leg. She has to keep on writing about mushi from stories of mushishi’s in order that one day, she can walk again and the mushi would be sealed forever, doesn’t have to be passed to the next generation. Tanyu then gradually got sick of all the stories of how mushi are killed until she met Ginko who told her other kinds of stories about mushi. Ginko then became a frequent visitor in Tanyu’s place that I think they had some sort of relationship. I find it quite cool as Tanyu copies the wordings back to the paper. ^_^ In the end, Ginko asks what Tanyu would do if she can walk again. She told him that she wanted to travel with him and see the mushi that she has heard. Ginko agreed. Both are a bit doubtful about it though [Tanyu would be old while Ginko might die] but still Tanyu is hopeful as she says that in the end, it will all work out.

    I’m going to miss Mushishi for it is really nice. The stories and lessons from each episode are really touching and heart warming – bittersweet at times. Ginko is fun to watch especially the expressions he has and just at the last episode, a new character was introduced. From the ending pic, it does seem that Tanyu is an important character in the series. It does seem to hint that there would be a continuation with a note of see you next time. I guess when the manga finishes or has more stories to make another series. ^_^

    until next time..

    In V.B. Rose [vol. 3], the ending of Mitsuya-Shizuya arc and start of more about Yukari who is falling for Ageha and the discovery of a rival. The story continues with Shizuya is freaking out that Ageha is in his school and she is wearing their school’s uniform. Ageha told him that she did it so that she can talk to him and she tries not to stand out but then, everyone in class is wondering who that cute girl is. Shizuya then tries to drag Ageha out but Ageha told him she will leave only if he agrees to go to VBR on Saturday night to see Mitsuya work. Shizuya finally agrees and he freaks out when he learns that Mamoru will be coming, too.

    VBR 3 cover

    At VBR, Mitsuya was surprise that Shizuya will be coming to see him work and that Yukari agreed to let an outsider come and watch. Yukari then thinks back when Ageha asked him a favor about it. Flashback: Yukari at first doesn’t want to but Ageha insist that it is a good opportunity for Shizuya to see the true Mitsuya even though he might not like it. He could have a better understanding of Mitsuya. Then, Yukari agrees. Ageha smiles as she thanked him. End of flashback. Mitsuya calls out to Yukari to snap out of it as Yukari realized that he was thinking of it again on his own. Yukari puts his head on Mitsuya’s shoulder as he thought that he is being made dizzy by someone. Mitsuya pats him hard as he asked if it is caused by Ageha. Yukari told him not to say it out loud if he knows already.

    Smitten by Ageha

    The next day, on Saturday, the trio [Ageha, Mamoru and Shizuya] came to VBR. They were met by a gloomy looking Yukari who snubbed them as Mitsuya came out to invite them upstairs. Mitsuya then showed them the dress he is making and about his job as a patterner. Shizuya doesn’t look quite good when Mitsuya is outright flirting with Ageha has she help in making the dress. Mamoru already slept in for she tends to sleep wherever if midnight comes. Yukari then came and told Shizuya that being able to do what one likes to do isn’t pitiful then chat something about loving one’s work. Then, Shizuya realize that this is the first time his brother actually say that he likes something. In the morning, Ageha and Mitsuya are rejoicing for they finished the dress. Mitsuya then walk home with Shizuya as Mitsuya telling him that he is indeed happy to do what he likes to do and they had made up as Shizuya said that he can come home. Mitsuya was happy that Shizuya understands his work that he started glomping him and Shizuya saw the trio [Yukari, Ageha and Momoru] spying on them as he shout for them not to spy.

    spies

    Ageha has started to make a new bag as she thought that she really likes doing it. I guess she was inspired after all that has happened with Mitsuya. Ageha then went to VBR to show it but Yukari is not happy to see her as he told her that she should be studying for her tests. Ageha told him that she only wanted to show them the new bag she made. She was happy that Yukari said that it was nice and he was going to photograph it. Mitsuya then asked why didn’t Ageha had a picture of herself in the uniform of Shizuya’s school. Ageha then learned that he is in good terms with Shizuya who told him what Ageha did.

    Yukari then said that Ageha really likes to get involve in other people’s business. Ageha then thought that she has been useless for she injured Mitsuya, didn’t finish her sis’ wedding dress and getting involved with Mitsuya’s brother problem. Yukari tries to snap her out of it then she goes into her world again as she realized that Yukari could have been the son of a single parent because he mentioned of having a brother but there was no mention of the mother. She thought that the mother has taken the younger brother. Yukari tries to snap her out of it again but dropping the mannequin on her. ^^;; Ageha shouts at him as he said that he was worried for she seemed to have gone crazy. Ageha shouts that she is normal. Yukari then told her that he plans to tell her after the tests about if she can do the stuff toy she did for Hibari. Yukari said that he have shown a picture of it to a client and they wanted one, too. Ageha agrees to do it as Yukari said that he believes in her talent. Ageha said that she will do her best and they wished her good luck as they warn her to do it only after exams. They also told him that she is their no. 1 apprentice. Ageha was very happy to hear it and felt that being at VBR gives her a good feeling.

    Happy-happy

    At Mamoru’s house, Ryuu asked Mamoru if it is true that Ageha went to their school. Mamoru thought that Ageha talks too much and that she really likes Ryuu being like that. Mamoru then told him that it seems that Ageha has someone that she likes. Ryuu was surprised as he asked what kind of guy he is. Mamoru then told him who the guy Ageha likes – Yukari (works with Ageha, age difference of six years, acts like a queen/prima donna pretty boy, etc]. Ryuu then smiles [with evil aura] as he thought that the guy isn’t that interesting. At VBR, Yukari was reading when he suddenly felt a chill. Mitsuya then felt as if he is feeling it too. The two shrug it off as they say that they would go to the bookstore to cheer themselves up as they try to laugh it off. ^^;

    Ryuu gives bad vibes

    At the bookstore, Ageha met Ryuu there. They happily greet each other as they thought that each other is cute. Ryuu then asked about her job. Ageha happily told him that about it and that she is really happy when her creations are given to the clients. Ryuu praised her for it as Ageha thanks her. Then, Yukari and Mitsuya came. Ageha then introduces them to Ryuu [whom she fondly calls Ryuu-ryuu-chan] as Ryuu is concentrating on who’s Yukari. It’s funny that Ryuu kept on repeating Yukari’s name as if he is curing him. ^^; Then, Ageha noticed something. She went close to Ryuu as she told him that he as grown taller. Yukari was surprised as Mitsuya was shock for if he does it to Ageha, Ageha would be angry. Ageha is still talking to Ryuu as she told him that he would become handsome later on.

    Snuggle

    Suddenly, Yukari grabbed Ageha and told her that this is a public place and that she has become like Mitsuya, a molester. Ageha was shock as she tries to apologize to Ryuu and if she is acting like a molester. Ryuu said that it is okay for he is used to it. Ageha isn’t too happy about that answer. Then, Mitsuya asked if they could drive Ryuu to his house. Ageha joined in and asked if he could come home with her. Ryuu thanked them for the offer but he is with his friends. Ageha then bid Ryuu goodbye. As they were leaving, Yukari looks back and saw Ryuu smiling evily at him. Yukari was surprised then Ryuu smiles sweetly back as he bows. Yukari then realized that cause of the cold chill – bad feeling as Ryuu whistles that it is no big deal that Ageha likes someone – she treats him the same. While going to ride the car, Mitsuya said that Yukari acted out of character for he doesn’t do that when Mitsuya is flirting. Yukari answered that it was because that is his habit and being young can be problematic. Mitsuya was surprised/puzzled by what he said.

    Instinct reaction?

    At the VBR, Ageha was happily singing while working. She told the two guys that exams are finally over and she is just waiting for vacation. She is now working on making two teddy bears as the stuff toy for the client. Ageha then told Yukari that Mamoru and Ryuu was saying that they were glad to meet him and that Ryuu is such a cute and nice kid. Yukari is thinking that they must have wanted him dead and if there is something wrong with Ageha’s eyes for Ryuu looking evilly at him isn’t cute. Yukari is having the chills that he went to the Rosa store. Ageha wonders why Yukari left, if he is tired though Mitsuya thought it is something else.

    I’m outta here.

    Ageha then asked Mitsuya if Yukari has an apprentice. Mitsuya said that he doesn’t have because Yukari is quite good looking that he is even a model for Rosa when he was young. He finds it a bit troublesome when girls confess to him only to be rejected and the girls would be brokenhearted hence the working relationship is destroyed. Then, Ageha realized that if it was learned that she likes Yukari, she would have to quit her job. She then decided to keep it a secret. Ageha went home a bit depress. She cheered up when her sister came to visit. The two wondered what to name the baby and both decided on ‘Madoka’ [round] by saying the name at the same time. Makoto also agreed on the name.

    Ageha then pulled her sister aside then asked if she and Makoto are always in good terms. Hibari said that they are though at times, they quarrel. Ageha then asked what’s it like to be in love. Hibari was a bit surprised but then answered that it has its high and low. Ageha then though that love is indeed troublesome as what Yukari thought. Hibari then shared to Ageha about the things she likes about Makoto and there are times when she is jealous and that being with him, is happiness. Ageha then wonders if it could happen with Yukari. Back at VBR, Yukari asked what Mitsuya told Ageha. Mitsuya said that he told him about what happened at work before. Yukari told him that he just ruined his reputation for portraying him as a heartbreaker. Mitsuya boasts that he even told Ageha about Yukari being a model before. Mitsuya then told Yukari that Yukari seem to give attention to Ageha. Yukari then remembers what happened in the bookstore as he says, that is, then has flashbacks of his mother who kept on apologizing and about keeping her promise next time. Then, says that person is pitiful.

    Later on, Ageha is at VBR working again but Yukari is a bit moody. Ageha kept on thinking that she mustn’t let Yukari know about her feelings but since Yukari is moody, she wonders if he had realized it. Yukari got angry that he strangles Ageha telling her to spit it out for she is making things awkward but Ageha only says that she will do her best at work. Yukari, together with Mitsuya brought Ageha to the beach for a change of scene. Ageha plays in the water as the two guys watches. Ageha then asks Yukari to play sword fighting with her using sticks. Mitsuya would join but then, there are no more long sticks so he sat this one out and thought that the two are having fun.

    Stick fighting

    Actually, Yukari is thinking up to when would he has to play with her and hopes that Mitsuya interrupts while Ageha is thinking about not letting Yukari know that she likes him. Yukari then tells her that he doesn’t want to play anymore and ask about the teddy bear’s progress. Ageha then realized that she has been focusing a lot about not letting Yukari know about liking him that she haven’t been doing it and wonders if she would be fired after making the teddy bears. Yukari then told his faults as Ageha added a bit on that then said something nice to him that he blushed a bit. Yukari told her when she works happily, he thought she is really something and that she is the first girl he can’t let go. I think he meant that before he thens to fire people but Ageha is the first one whom he didn’t. Ageha is happy that she has found her place as Yukari told Mitsuya that they should make a campfire. Some other day, Yukari went to VBR after school to find a small boy who looked like Yukari. Yukari freaks out and then asked why Yukari has become small. Lol.

    Little Yukari?!

    Yukari and Mitsuya then came as Ageha learns that the boy was Yukari’s younger brother. The boy told Yukari that he wanted to see Yukari so he asked his mother to bring him there. His mother went to Rosa since a worker called for her. Ageha is freaking about the cuteness as Yukari introduced him to her. I don’t know how the boy is called but the Chinese word looked like Sakura but that is a girl’s name so I’ll call him Zac. ^^; Zac immediately hit it off with Ageha as Yukari told Mitsuya that likes girls. Zac told him that he is 4 years old as Ageha thought that it was as she asked if it is a single parent family. Yukari said that it was and asked how did she knew. Ageha then hugs Zac as she told him that it is sad that they lived separately then asked Yukari if he was lonely not living with his mother. Yukari said that it is okay for his parents divorced while he was still 5. Ageha then got confused for they are already divorced, how could they still have a child later on. It turned out that Zac’s mother is Ririko.

    They told her that Ririko had fallen for Yukari’s father while in high school as Yukari thought that it was like having a sister become a stepmother for his age difference with her is six years. Ageha then asked why haven’t she seen Zac there before. Yukari explained that Zac is playful that he messed with laces and stuff before so they don’t bring him there anymore. Ririko is now living with her mother so that her mother can help take care of Zac. They were chatting some more when Ririko mentioned Lan. Yukari tries to say that it is a panda. Ririko told him not to say nonsense things to Ageha. Yukari then picked up a picture and toss it to Ageha. He told her that it is Lan, when she was still an actress. Ageha told them that she knew her for she was quite famous. [She noticed the picture when she went to VBR before]. When asked why she didn’t asked before, she said that she has forgotten. Yukari then told her that it is his mother. Ageha was shock and was more shock when she learned that Lan gave birth to Yukari at age 18. Mitsuya then teasingly told Ageha that Yukari can also be like a father for the way he treats Zac. Yukari then asked what was Ageha doing there. Ageha then said that she needed some materials for the teddy bear’s wedding dress. Yukari then said that they all should get back to work for story telling about his family is over and told Ageha where to get the cloth she needs.

    Ageha went shopping with Mamoru. It turned out that Lan is Ageha’s favorite actress. She asked if Mamoru knows about Lan having a child. Mamoru said that she had heard of it when they were still in kindergarten. I think with a bit of Mamoru advise, Ageha decided to work her best especially now that she knows Yukari’s family background. Upon arriving at VBR, she saw Ririko and Zac. Yukari is sleeping so Ririko is trying to get Zac to behave and with Ageha around, it would be easier. Ageha then took this chance to ask Ririko about Lan. She learned that Lan’s grandmother lives nearby and Lan stayed there when she ran away from her home in Tokyo. She then met Yukari’s father and loved at first sight, got married and had a child at 18. It was obvious that Yukari was the son because they share the same genes. So when she was young, she was observing Lan taking care of Yukari and later on, it is Yukari who is observing Ririko taking care of Zac.

    Copying how to take care of babies

    Ririko then says that it was when they divorced when Lan went to showbiz. Ageha then asked if Yukari’s relationship with her mom not that good for Yukari can be a bit cold when the topic was discussed. Ririko said not really but something happened that left a hole in Yukari’s heart. Ririko then says that since Lan was her husband’s wife and Yukari’s mother, she doesn’t dare say anything bad about her but as a mother, she hates Lan for lying. They were interrupted by Yukari who told Ririko that she is quite talkative. Ririko said that she isn’t afraid for she was his guardian – she was his mother, sister, while Yukari is her son, younger brother, younger sister. Yukari protests about the younger sister. ^^; Yukari gave up for it is useless to talk to a fool. Ririko escapes as she told them that Zac has fallen asleep and she will bring him to her mother. Before going, Ririko warns Yukari not to pass his anger to Ageha or else, he will get it.

    Ageha told Yukari that his relationship with Ririko is good. Yukari answered that it is because he is her ‘daughter’. Ageha then mentions about Zac being cute and Yukari agrees though he thinks Zac is a bit of a womanizer. Then, Ageha goes into her own world as she ponders on what Ririko mentioned about the hole in Yukari’s heart. Yukari playfully flip her skirt as Ageha to stop her from thinking too much. Ageha told him not to do that as Yukari defense that she has her pants on anyway. Yukari said that Ageha must be thinking too much about what Ririko said and that Lan isn’t a good mother. Ageha then makes a gloomy face.

    Ugh...

    Yukari told her not to think too much about it as Ageha protests that it was because he said ‘not a good mother’. Ageha says that Lan must have thrown people whom she doesn’t like out like an old shoe. Yukari angrily answered that she must have been thinking of him. Yukari said that it isn’t like that but it is more like she can’t keep promises. Ageha asked if that is why Lan is a liar. Yukari told her that he doesn’t know if she is a liar or she is just forgetful. She did had him when she was young and he thought that it would be better if she didn’t make promises that she can’t keep. Yukari then laughs said that he just remembered his childhood memories when he was 5. His mother gave him food which was bad and leaving him in the cold to wait for her. Ageha then wonders if that is something that should be laugh at.

    Yukari continues that because of that, the ones who took care of him are his father and Ririko. Yukari then pauses and said that even if that person isn’t there, he isn’t lonely. Ageha then learned that Lan left them when Yukari was 5 so it has been 17 years. Yukari then said that Lan didn’t even came to his father’s funeral and thought that it must be because she has work. Yukari then asked does Ageha really like to go into other people’s business. Ageha apologizes in her mind as she confesses that it is her bad habit. Yukari then dropped the subject as he told Ageha that getting angry at that person is useless and he hopes that she won’t ask Ririko about it anymore. Ageha then blurted out that when his mother is mentioned Yukari kept on saying ‘that person’. The two then were surprised. Just when Mitsuya came, Ageha took this opportunity to escape by running away from the store.

    Mitsuya wonders what happened as he went to Yukari who told him that when he was a kid, it was ‘grandpa and mommy’ then at elementary, it is ‘father’ but that person. Mitsuya asks if it is about Lan. Yukari then thought that he never realized that he has started to call his mother ‘that person’ and when Ageha blurted it out, obviously from her face, it says that I have done something wrong. Mitsuya then shows Yukari a bouquet of roses that he plans to give to Ageha. It came from Ririko’s mother’s flower shop. Yukari then ate a rose freaking Mitsuya out. Yukari then says it doesn’t taste good as Mitsuya shouts that it isn’t for eating and if he is hungry. Then, Mitsuya asks if Ageha gave him something. Yukari said no. Mitsuya wonders that it is strange for Ririko said that Ageha is going to bring something.

    Yummy..roses.

    At home, Ageha is freaking out over what she blurted out and that she has made a mistake, just as Yukari thought. She then remembers Yukari’s surprised face and wonders if Yukari wouldn’t want her as an apprentice anymore. Ageha then realizes that she has brought back the teddy bear stuffed toy that she has made. She then thought that she likes to see Yukari’s smile. Ageha then decides to bring back the teddy bear and apologize for what happened. Ageha then walks back to VBR, thinking about Yukari when she noticed that someone is following her. At first, she thought that it was a ghost then thought it could be Yukari so she looked back only to see a guy with a cap, smiling sinisterly at her. Ageha then tries to run away but the guy caught up with her. Yukari then came to save her by kicking the guy. The guy tries to run away but Mitsuya runs after him. Ageha then asks why they are there. Yukari explains that they saw her walk by while on the car. They decided to follow her since she went to a small alley and felt that it was dangerous for there are perverts especially at night. Yukari then asks why Ageha isn’t answering her mobile phone with a flashback of Yukari in the car freaking out that Ageha isn’t answering. Yukari then shouts why she is walking as Ageha shouts back that she likes walking and that she just wanted to see Yukari to apologize to him about what happened earlier. Ageha then starts to cry as she confess that she is really afraid. Yukari then says that next time if she wants to go to the store, she should just call him and he will pick her up. Yukari then hugs her and told her not to do any dangerous things anymore.

    Hugs..^_^

    Ageha was surprised that Yukari hugs her. They were interrupted when Mitsuya calls Yukari. Ageha was all blushing and over thinking again that Yukari holds her near him. Ageha is freaking out and blushing as she wonders what is wrong with Yukari. Yukari was scolding Mitsuya to come back already if he can’t find the stalker anymore. Then, Ageha realized that Yukari was worried about her. Ageha tries to apologize when Yukari apologize too for the stalker got away. Ageha asks why they are going to her house and Yukari mentioned about the things that Ageha was supposed to bring. Ageha remembers the dolls as she picked up the bag and apologized to it for leaving it behind and that she plans to show it to Yukari. Yukari calls her stupid then says that it is good that she is okay. They then all met back to the car. Mitsuya glomps Ageha as he told her that he is worried about her. To Yukari’s shock, Ageha hugs back and saying that compared to that stalker, Mitsuya is actually nice. Yukari then pulls one of Ageha’s ponytails. Hehehe..someone is jealous. Mitsuya was surprise then laughs out loud as Ageha cluelessly wonder what’s up with Yukari. Yukari shouts for Mitsuya to stop laughing.

    Jealous instinct?

    Mitsuya then gave the bouquet of roses to Ageha. Ageha thanks them and smile as Yukari observes her. Then Ageha wonders why one of the roses is missing as Yukari told her that he ate it. Mitsuya then decided to leave the two as he goes ahead to the store. Yukari then holds Ageha’s hand and walks with her. Then, Yukari’s phone rings. Yukari reads the sms and it was Mitsuya teasing Yukari about Ageha. Ageha then wonders if Yukari is angry that she is walking in a distance with him even if they are holding hands. Yukari pulled her closer and talked about his mother. He told her that he doesn’t really understand his mother but he is grateful for her since she gave birth to him, for being with his father, and he wouldn’t have been doing what he likes to do, met Mitsuya and Ageha. Yukari then told her that the one who named VBR was his father. For his father, even if a blue rose doesn’t exist now, maybe next time after many years it will when people work hard on it, much like their work, they kept on working and making things to make the clients happy as their wishes come true and a blue rose is a ‘possible’ color. To Yukari’s surprise, Ageha also said ‘possible’ color. Ageha smiles at him and told him that they should not lose out to other stores and as long as they give it their best effort, everything will be okay. Ageha shouts that she will try her best as she runs inside the store while Mitsuya asks why they are so slow. Yukari blushes and murmurs, ‘Uh oh’. – I think he meant he has fallen for Ageha.

    Making our store famous

    In the store, Mitsuya shows Ageha the wedding gown which has a big bow at the side. Ageha likes it. Yukari then looks inside Ageha’s brown package to see the teddy bears she made. He stares at it as Ageha it looks as if they are in a garden and if you remove the cloth on the basket, it becomes a bag.

    Cover into a bag!

    Ageha then hides from the sofa as she told them that she thought the client would like it and she did more of what was expected and if they don’t like it, she can take it back. Yukari then asked if that is why she needed more of the cloth material. Yukari then told her that if she needed to say something about it, she should do so and she should have more confidence. Yukari said that what she did was really nice and it suits their store. Ageha wonders why Yukari is saying nice for a change as she cries. Yukari asks why Ageha is crying everytime he says something. Mitsuya says that it could be because she is touched. Ageha then tells him that she will do her best. Yukari says that he knows and ask her not to cry anymore and with that face, he can’t possibly bring her home. Ageha remembers Yukari saying that he would be the one who would always bring her home. Ageha then smiles as Yukari looks at her. And that ends, volume 3.

    I approve of your work ^_^

    It is because of this volume that I came to like V.B.Rose. ^_^ There are a lot of cute romantic moments here. It is also the start of Yukari-Ageha relationship. Yukari somewhat had grown on me even though I thought he looked girly at the start. Next volume is even more fun when Ageha and Yukari plays groom-bride and their relationship grows. And of course, more of Yukari getting jealous and well, given bad vibes by Ryuu.

    Vampire Knight [chapter 14]
    Tuesday, March 21, 2006 @ 10:15 p.m.

    Hehehe...because of procrastinating about getting Vampire Knigh [c. 14] in one go at Billwang, the pics hosted in Photobucket has exceeded its bandwidth. ^^; Good thing that there is a simplified Chinese up in gocomic. It took me a few hours last night trying to understand what is happening – checking in dictionaries and conversion of simplified to traditional. Anyway, I think I can summarize it already so here goes. The day started with Yuuki and Zero doing their jobs as perfect. Zero has it easy since he just threaten the girls not to cross the line or else, he would make them cry. Aidou then helped Yuuki by grabbing her into the school and closing the door. He was happy to hear that the girls are green with envy. Kaname told Aidou not to cause trouble and told Yuuki not to work too hard or else, she’ll get hurt – from fangirls. Yuuki tries explain that it is her work when the door opened and Zero took her outside. She was looking at Kaname while Zero is looking at Yuuki.

    Jealousy = cute

    At the head of the school’s office, Yuuki was asking him about Zero’s vampire hunting job. The head said that Zero has to do it sooner or later. Then, he told her that they would have a new student for the night class. It was because her body is frail so it is only now that she is coming to class. Just in time, a girl came as the head introduced her as ‘Maria Kurenai’. As Yuuki goes with Maria to show her around, the head looked at them silently. While showing her around, Maria then asked if Yuuki believes that she is really frail vampire and it would be hard to make friends. Yuuki assures her that everyone is nice and if she needs help, she would gladly help her. Maria hugs her and says that she likes that kind of person.

    At the night class, they were discussing about the new student. When Maria suddenly appear from the teacher’s table as she observes that the class is not bad at all. I think that is Aidou who asked who she was. Maria jumps to the table near him and asked if he was referring to her. He was a bit surprised. Kaname then told the others that she is the new student. Maria then went to Kaname and holds his hand as she gleefully exclaims that to meet a pure blood makes her happy. It surprised the others and Ruka isn’t happy about it as she glares at Maria. Maria apologize for making her angry and told them that it is better for her to leave.

    Wai..a pureblood

    Outside, Yuuki found Zero leaning on a tree. She looks determined as she went to him and gave him a good slap at the back. ^^; She informs him that the victim they saved before has her memory erased so everything is okay. Zero told him that hunting level E vampires isn’t to help people for he has nothing to do with it, it just happen to be his job. Yuuki whines a bit that Zero always tend to do things alone and not telling her about that ‘vampire hunting thing’. She said that she was worried when he left for she thought that he is going to run away. I’m not sure if it is Zero speaking about he haven’t told her either about the vampire his family is after. I think he is referring to the one who bit him. Yuuki said that he did and that it is her duty to kill Zero. Until that day comes, the gun would be hidden on her table so he better remember their promise. I think Zero answered about he was thinking he somewhat fear that he might not get his revenge when that happens – he goes to level E. Yuuki gave him another slap as she told him not to say that for she believes in him. They were then interrupted by Maria. Maria told Yuuki that something happened and it seemed everyone hates her. Zero then instinctively drew out his gun. Yuuki quickly shields Maria from him as she shouted what what is with him..for what reason.

    Who are you?

    Zero looked a bit distress as he put down his gun. He asked who she was. Maria introduced herself while hiding behind Yuuki. Yuuki apologized to Maria saying that Zero is also a perfect and he isn’t usually like that. Maria then says that she really likes Yuuki for she is a ‘nice kid’ and a kid like her...the blood usually tastes good. Then, she left. Back at the night school, Aidou and Kain were discussing about Maria then they mention about this certain person who is also pure blood like Kaname, ‘Hioukan’ – okay, that is base on kanji and finding the romanji it literally means ‘Scarlet Sakura Leisure’. It was hunted by the Kiriyuu family and was thought to have died. At a room, Ichijou was asking Kaname about what he thought of Maria. He replied that the missing piece she wanted is located at school and that it was because of him that they are all there.

    Likes to stab things

    This is an interesting chapter. Kaname does seem to be the villain here well, towards Zero that is. It might be his plan to get Zero away from Yuuki. I somewhat had a feeling that he doesn’t like it/jealous when Zero tends to drag her away from him. Somehow, I think Maria is faking that sick bit. I’m sure she is really glad that Yuuki is a nice girl for she can use this – she can easily manipulate Yuuki and isn’t that of a threat to get Zero which is obvious from the last chapter. I don’t think she will be good friends with Ruka though and I guess everyone was a bit surprised and unease about her over friendliness with Kaname. I’m guessing that Zero’s plan is do vampire hunting, find the vampire who bit him, get revenge and can at least peacefully die at Yuuki’s hands. I do find it a bit weird that Yuuki is hiding the gun at her table. Why doesn’t she carry it around? Maybe the descent to level E is slow but then, wouldn’t it be better if she has it and use it asap when she needs it rather than running to the table to get it. ^^; Back to Maria, well, since I know that other pureblood name, it does really seem she is related to the one who bit Zero. It is the ‘red’ on the name. I have a wild theory that she is the one who bit Zero [being friendly with Kaname like you’re a pureblood like me] and maybe has ways to make herself young but then, that is a bit way off. ^^; I do wonder do vampires ever drink other vampire’s blood in this series. Anyway, Kaname does seem to like chess which meant he is good at making strategies and from this color pic for the next chapter, he has the ‘white king chess piece’ tied up and stabbed again with a knife/letter opener. Only one person it could be – of course, Zero. I do wonder if Kaname’s power/weapon of choice is a sword as contrast in typical manga with Zero’s gun. I do think that Kaname would make sure Maria doesn’t do anything to Yuuki or else. ^_^
