About this blog:
I usually write about the manga that I'm currently reading. At times, I write about the anime I watched. Since it is hard to share and talk my thoughts about a certain manga series when people don't know about it, I tend to summarize them from Chinese scanlations so beware, this blog is filled with spoilers and they are not 100% perfect. I'm partly doing this to improve my Chinese. ^^ Feel free to point out my mistakes. ^^ Occasionally, I would blog about myself and other misc. things.

Thanks to rina, I’ve learned that Skip Beat! 177 raws are out in baidu. It looks like a really good chapter. It starts with some flashback of Murasame belong to a gang. Then, later on, it seems that he is regretting that he challenged Cain. ^^; And, he seems to have become determined again. The fun part is when it is back to the Heel siblings. The two were talking and Kyouko’s ‘antenna’ is going crazy. It has been a long time =P The lion running after rabbit is amusing..I think that is what Cain plans to do to Murasame. Then, Kyouko notices that Ren is holding his right hand. She calls him. It snaps Ren out of whatever he is thinking. Ren calls her to him and made her remove the long glove from his right hand. Then, to Kyouko’s surprise, Ren touches her face. Then, he starts patting around her face and head. ^^; Then, Ren made her put the glove on again and says that she’s cute/it’s cute doing that. Kyouko seems embarrassed and puzzled. Then, she makes him hurry and put his contact lens on? In the toilet, Ren removes his contact lens. Hehe..it stops at removing one of the contact lens, so yes, from that look, it seems that he has two different colored eyes. I wonder if Kyouko will recognize ‘those eyes’ of Kuon but it has been such a long time. About touching Kyouko, I think Ren is trying to rub the lucky charm for luck since he is no longer wearing that watch. =P It’s terribly cute. ^^ The bad news is, the next chapter will be on August 20th..
Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu 88 raws are out, too. Tsubaki starts working at the parlor. The manager shows Tsubaki a flyer about a hairstylist school. I don’t know what Hiro said but probably about her parents’ approval. At home, Tsubaki’s mother seems to be happily picking out some schools/courses for her. Tsubaki wasn’t able to say what she wanted..and it seems she said it after her mother left. Sakura overhears her. They talk a bit and it seems Tsubaki is still in high spirits. She then writes a message to Kyouta. At a hospital, Kyouta is over exercising during his therapy. It seems that TsubakiSakura told him about her decision to be a hairstylist. Kyouta then ‘kisses’ the hand which held hands with Tsubaki in the class before. ^^ Then, Tsubaki is going to some school where there is a national judging mock exam when Hiro mets with her. He tries to put her in his car and probably try to dissuade her from taking that exam which her parents want her to take. [<- I’m not sure about this one.] He even princess carry her. ^^; They talk a bit more and Tsubaki pulls her hand from his and seems to say that she is going to ride the train. At some other place?/same school, Tsubaki sees a group of girls talking with Hiro and I think he graduated from that school. In the end, Tsubaki rides in the same car with Hiro. =P [I think Tsubaki realized that Hiro was in the same situation as her before. Again, I’m not so sure about that.] They talk some more. Tsubaki seems to ask him about regretting his decision like her mother mentioned to her earlier. Hiro convinces her otherwise and assures her that things will be okay. Then, when she gets back home, Tsubaki finally tells her mother that her first choice is to become a hairstylist. Scans by amyangel19910323 for BW. Proper summary and comments when the Chinese scanlation is out.
Vampire Knight 73 is out in English scanlation. I had some deja vu feeling about this chapter..which suddenly popped into my mind. It does seem like the first arc. Didn’t Zero used to have an admirer before? Maria currently fills in that role. Shizuka’s role is of course, Sara’s. And what..Ichiru’s role before is currently being taken by Takuma? There are a lot of similarities here and there. And, it gave me a sinking feeling. Yes, that scene of Zero and Yuuki has been anticipated and I would be raving about it if it weren’t for the context. I was kind of hoping that Yuuki would at least formally say goodbye or something like that to Kaname, before that. It makes me wonder if one’s fiance/lover suddenly went missing in action, does that technically it’s over between them? The blood sucking in this series of Yuuki with either guys seems like a ‘kiss’ or ‘romance’ so I felt like shaking my head and think, here goes Yuuki again. For Zero’s sake, I hope that when/if Kaname ever comes back again, Yuuki won’t just ‘dump’ Zero again and go with her ‘brother’. I will be more at ease if Yuuki would move on with her life and not try to find Kaname anymore or else, it will make me feel sorry for Zero. As I’ve always mentioned, Yuuki tends to think of the other guy when she is together with either one of the two. I guess it is because of ‘love’ that Zero is letting Yuuki do that to him and he’s doing that because I think that he’s giving himself to easily to her after all that has happened. It makes me wonder why Yuuki chose to go with Kaname before in the first place. ^^; Zero has a tendency of acting not what he says. Iirc, during the first arc, he kissed her and threatened to be enemies. ^^; Oh well, at least I think Zero’s blood ought to be ‘yummy’ and ‘satisfying’ for Yuuki because it consists of Yuuki’s, Zero’s and Kaname’s blood. =P Sara might want to try a bite on that again later on. The new blood tablets are interesting for the story and they are kind of suspicious. It shouldn’t just be special just because it is ‘tastier’. It must have some kind of ingredient that Kaname isn’t willing to put in the original blood tablets. Maybe he didn’t made it tasty so that it won’t be do addictive? It is established that Takuma still looks up to Kaname but for some reason, Sara is holding him hostage or something. Well, Takuma is a link between Sara and Kaname so Sara might want to use him as a shield if ever worse comes to worst. I think Takuma isn’t careful to talk about those things with Yuuki at the dorm. We have a spider spying on them. I also think that Yuuki and Zero aren’t careful either. When I heard about the blood sucking, I thought they are going to do it in some secret room just like before but, it turns out to be out in the woods. What are the chances of anyone seeing them..like a spider perhaps? I would laugh if it is Hanabusa again who sees them. =P The situation is much serious now because of their current status. On a side note, I would laugh even harder if Yuuki and Zero are fighting with Sara then, at the final moment, Kaname appears and delivers the final blow. =P That will really be deja vu.
Free Talk: Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Side Story + Jump Series Reaction
Friday, July 1, 2011
Kaichou wa Maid-sama!’s side story this month in Lala DX, isn’t that good. It is basically about Usui fetching Misaki from work. Her boss and co-workers tease her about holding hands that Usui obliges them by holding Misaki’s hand. As Usui leads Misaki out, Misaki is embarrassed and calls him all sorts of things. After they left, Satsuki and the other maids start to imagine the lovey-dovey things that could be happening between those two. It ends up with Erika as Usui flirting with Subaru as Misaki. Satsuki is nose-bleeding all over the place. ^^; Just when Erika is stripping Subaru, they all stop goofing around when Aoi sees them. Blushing really red, Aoi mutters that he didn’t see anything. Embarrassed, they shout that it is a misunderstanding. It is pretty much like GL. ^^; KwMS is on a break last month. It will resume this month..July 23. Scans by 红莲汉化组
Wow..it is July already. And still no updates on Reimei no Arcana and Bokutachi was Shitte Shimatta. ^^; By the way, sorry that I didn’t summarize Vampire Knight. I’m having some serious deja vu issues on that series, as if things from the first arc are repeating. Hehe, I’m lazy to read through the Chinese scans so I’ll just wait for the English. =P And, let me get this off my chest. Regarding what’s going on the series that I read in Jump, I somewhat feel that things are getting a bit boring. Bleach is number 1 on that. It does seem that Ichigo is in some twilight zone wherein the enemy has control over everyone but after the training arc, I still feel that something is amiss. One Piece is a lot of info dump regarding the past of the mermaid kingdom and currently, it is the introduction of the enemies. I guess it will be fighting soon. I’m curious though how Luffy and others are going to fight against discrimination as an added factor to the usual fights. The enemies this time around don’t seem to be that much of a threat. Naruto is still fighting the war..I cannot quite get into this either. It seems a bit messed up to be fighting with dead people. Beelzebub is still okay though it seems to go off tangent at times. ^^; The fighting is really cool though when the ‘weak’ good guys show those guys. =P Katekyo Hitman Reborn! is a bit corny and strange at times. Spade just won’t die..^^; Somehow, I wonder what the author plans with the new cast after this arc is over. Nurarihyon No Mago is partly getting interesting since I just realized that Rikou’s grandfather and father’s enemies have became Rikuo’s enemies. ^^; In the second popularity poll, Yuki Onna got second place. I think that is amazing for a female character in a shounen series. Hopefully, the author will pair her with Rikuo..the current arc seems to lean that way. =P Now that I think of it, I just realized that Rikuo is useless during the morning that Yuki Onna has to protect him. As for Gintama, the concept of Elizabeth-s x Gundam x Star Wars x Mecha arc is amusing. I think it will be amazing when this part has been animated. =P
Faster than a Kiss [Chapter 44]
Friday, July 1, 2011
Akio tells her that his father didn’t treat young master Kazuma as a family or his being a secretary towards Kazuma, though even if it is like that, some of the feeling has still, slowly penetrated into Kazuma’s heart and softened it, as well as fulfill Kazuma’s longing for family affection. Kazuo, Akio’s father, will always remind Kazuma that the ‘father in his eyes’ should be Kazuma’s father and not him. It is like some incantation to keep on telling Kazuma that Kazuma’s father is great and really amazing. Akio tells Fumino that honestly speaking, he doesn’t consider some father to be great if he would send his own son to his subordinate’s house to take care of that child. This surprises Fumino that Akio tells her that is being rude [to his boss] and to keep this a secret since it is in the past. Akio continues his story that during the time he doesn’t know of, Kazuma learned that his ‘super busy’ father has already re-married with some other woman and had a son. Then, Kazuma was hurriedly made to return back to the Ojiro family. It gave Kazuma such a deep impression of confusion and hopelessness. Flashback: Kazuo, the elder Sasa, told young Kazuma that his father definitely wanted to give Kazuma a new family. Kazuma said that he totally wasn’t consulted about this. Kazuo told downcast Kazuma that regarding Akio, from today on, they will be taking care of him and he will be staying at his house. Kazuma perked up and asks Akio if this is true. Akio told him, “YOUNG MASTER KAZUMA, please call me ‘Sasa’” Akio and his father had set up a division between them and Kazuma, although they really have no other alternative to do otherwise. To their surprise, Kazuma started to cry and said that he hates..he hates everyone. “I will seal up everything [that happened] here, all of the happiness.. as well as the sadness. Afterwards, you guys, do not care about me anymore.” So from that day on, young master Kazuma severed off such emotions. *Fumino becomes teary-eyed after hearing that*
When Kazuma reaches high school, he ran away from home and that is when Akio started to take care of him and at the same time, secretly watched over Kazuma’s every move. End flashback. “—but, I totally never imagined that he’ll be living with his student.” This made Fumino blush really red. Akio admits to her that if it is him, he will absolutely not tolerate anything that will make young master Kazuma do such a dangerous action but it cannot be helped. “—Young master Kazuma unexpectedly showed such a happy expression (so right now, he definitely--) A few days ago, my father is also hospitalized. It is a grave illness and because his body is weak, I thought that he also really wanted to see young master Kazuma. So, I sent him a letter. ([see him] While my father is still alive--) Right now, it is like an insect saying its prayer..” At the hospital, Kazuma wakes up and looks surprised. Ryuu says that he’s awake. As shocked Kazuma sits up, Teppei worriedly asks if his foot hurts and does he still have a fever. Kazuma says that he is fine and asks if he had fallen unconscious. Ryuu scolds him that it is lack of sleep and a sprain, he should liven up a bit. [<- probably take care of himself more]. While Kazuma is gloomy over being reprimanded, Teppei hugs him tight. Fumino arrives and exclaims that he is awake. Ryuu tells Fumino that he’ll go home first and leave Teppei to her. Fumino thanks him. As Fumino takes Teppei to cuddle, Kazuma apologizes to her. Fumino exclaims what he is saying when his sprain and fever is all because of her. Touching her nose with his finger, Kazuma says that it is nothing and it’s good that she is alright. Blushing Fumino apologizes again with a bow, but she ends up hitting Teppei’s head because Teppei is sitting on her lap. ^^; While Fumino apologizes to Teppei, Kazuma gestures for her to keep the noise down. He asks her what’s up. Kazuma pouts when she told him that Akio told her about Kazuma’s past including about the letter.
As Kazuma puts on his glasses, Fumino thinks that in the end, he didn’t say about that dark and serious memory which he bears. Kazuma is clenching his fist on the blanket. Wondering if it is okay, Fumino holds Kazuma’s hand. Kazuma looks at her then asks what he should do. To his surprise, Fumino, carrying Teppei, suddenly rushes out of the room. Then, she returns with some clutches. Fumino shouts for Kazuma to quickly see Kazuo right now. Fumino wonders if it is okay if the two share responsibilities. Kazuma finally says, okay. While Kazuma tries to get up using the clutch, Fumino tells him that Akio told her that Kazuo is also admitted in the same hospital. Kazuma asks her what the number of the room is. Shoma comes in and tells Kazuma not to be like this. He cannot go out because he still has a fever. Kazuma tells him that it is alright, he can still walk. Fumino asks Shoma if Akio is still around. Since they snub him, Shoma is angry that he exclaims if they weren’t listening to him. “It isn’t that necessary, and why don’t you go back to bed and rest. *pulls curtains* Because he is staying beside you.” Everyone is surprised including Kazuo who is reading a book on a bed beside Kazuma’s. Nervous and flustered Kazuo says, “Long time no see.” Kazuma is quite shock. Shoma quickly grabs Fumino and Teppei, and tells his brother that they will go out first. Outside, Shoma quickly slams the door on them. Meg and Fumino say that Shoma is amazing. Shoma tells them that his brother isn’t the only one who was taken care of Sasa-san. After posing midway for them to wait, Kazuma blushes as he looks at smiling Kazuo. Kazuo asks if his body is okay. Sitting down and putting the clutches at the side, Kazuma asks back if Kazuo is okay since he has become thin. Kazuo laughs and says that of course, after 20 years, he’ll definitely become old. Kazuma thinks that after 20 years, Kazuo is now wrinkled and has white hair. Still glancing at a book, Kazuo says that it has been such a long time but he hasn’t forgotten about young master Kazuma.
Kazuma notices the book that Kazuo is reading. He quickly grabs it and looks at it. To Kazuma’s embarrassing horror, it turns out to be an album/scrapbook of his high school delinquent years. The pictures were taken secretly. Kazuma exclaims loudly about not knowing about the existence of those pictures. Kazuo happily tells him that he made Akio secretly take those pictures. Showing him a pile of albums, Kazuo says that it is all filed up accordingly from elementary, junior high, high school and until he enter society. Trembling and aghast, Kazuma asks why. Kazuo says that he gave it for the Ojiro family to see. Closing the album, serious Kazuma says that it is now a useless thing so did Kazuo took it back. Kazuo says yes, but he has no way of throwing them away because of his feeling. Kazuma looks surprised. Kazuo says, “During the four years when I lived together with young master Kazuma, it is always like having a grand dream. ‘It will be nice if he is my own son’ (This is something that I absolutely cannot cross over. Behind that protective screen, I’ve always hesitating.) *bowing to Kazuma with both hands on the bed* Giving you so much painful memories and not being able to do anything for you. I’m really, truly sorry.” Kazuma tells him that he should be the one who is saying sorry. Kazuo looks surprised. Touching his hand, Kazuma says, “You’ve already given me so much love but I haven’t even thanked you. (and also) I had been really happy during those four years with you. Thank you.. Quickly get well soon, PAPA. (two separate hearts had once again been reunited.)” Kazuo looks surprised by what Kazuma said. He touches teary-eyed Kazuma’s face and says, “You’ve already grown up..” Akio watches over them from outside.
Later on, at their house, Fumino is surprised when Kazuma says that he’s home. Fumino exclaims that wasn’t he going to be hospitalized. Kazuma says that his foot doesn’t hurt and he doesn’t have a fever anymore so he went home. Fumino asks him about Sasa-san. Kazuma tells her that there’s no problem, they have already properly talked and that is enough. Narration: “She knows about my serious past.” While Teppei pours tea for Kazuma, Kazuma asks Fumino what she felt upon learning his past, did it shock her? Narration: “I’m very afraid whether she’ll pity me or she’ll running away from my side.” Fumino clings on Kazuma’s shirt and says that she isn’t shock by it. Blushing, Fumino looks at him and says, “I only thought of making sensei become even more happier..” Kazuma looks surprised by this. Narration: “But, contrary to what I imagined, my wife turns out to be quite strong.” Hugging Fumino, Kazuma kisses her on the cheek and says, “Thank you. I like you.” Then, Kazuma pushes her down on the floor. Fumino freaks out and tells him to wait. Fumino blushes and freaks out even more when Kazuma tells her that later on, after they give birth to a child, how about they let Sasa see the child but then, that will happen in the far future. Fumino screams and says that what he said and what he is currently doing is totally different. Kazuma just laughs. And while they are lovey-dovey, Teppei has neatly poured the drink to three glasses. Last scene: On the second day, Akio has recruited Ryuu to help him take lot sorts of pictures of Kazuma, secretly for them, that will make Kazuma remorse his life [<- humiliating/embarrassing pictures]. Akio gives Ryuu a hat for disguise and an mp3 type of camera. Ryuu exclaims okay and those things are amazing. A note says that essentially, Akio is still the same. =P
This is such a touching chapter. It does give me a happy feeling that they are finally reunited again and they really thought of each other the same = if only he is my father/son. It is a nice touch that Kazuma calls him, ‘papa’. It does seem sad that they wasted all those time being apart but anyway, I’m sure that those two will make up for lost time. Of course, this is all thanks to the help of the others who make the way for it, and gave Kazuma that finally push to put that hindrance aside and meet with his ‘father’ again. ^^ I guess it is a guy thing about not wanting to be pitied that Kazuma do not want to tell Fumino about his past but I’m sure Fumino will not be running away from him because of that kind of past. I think being a delinquent is far worst than this part of his past since the delinquent past shows his violent side. ^^; Anyway, Kazuma is slowly facing his past and I guess what’s left will be about his issue regarding his real father. Hehe..before that, I guess it will be more lovey-dovey chapters for a while to lighten things up again. Scans by 夜鶯工作室.

Ookami-heika no Hanayome [Chapter 22]
Thursday, June 30, 2011
At the palace, Jun tells Reishou that the next agenda is a usual meeting with the ministers. He then asks Reishou if he wants to rest a bit for the officials had been fearful and exhausted because of him. Dark Reishou says that isn’t this normal, for the Wolf King is a loathsome character. Jun is speechless over that. Reishou glumly adds that there is even some guy who is afraid of him [Reishou], that he won’t come to work. Jun asks if Reishou is referring to Suigetsu. Jun tells him that Suigetsu is a different case and that is also quite troublesome for Chancellor Han. Then, Jun seriously tells Reishou that regarding Yuulin’s staying at the Han residence, he still cannot just, not mind it so before things become unfavorable, about ‘dealing with it’.. Frowning Reishou quietly listens. Back to Kouju’s place, Yuulin is told that there is an emissary from the palace, sent to see her. Yuulin becomes nervous for she remembers that ‘You are fired by Jun’ dream. To her surprise, it is Ryu Houen. Surrounded by flowers, Houen politely says that Her Servant has been entrusted by His Majesty to bring these to her. Yuulin thinks that it is flowers again. Houen tells her if she has any message for His Majesty, she can tell it to him so that he can pass it on. Blushing Yuulin tells him to tell His Majesty that she has been spending time freely without any inconvenience. She thinks that actually from here, she should be saying that she’s going back. Displeased Houen looks at her and says that he totally knows that this is something that he shouldn’t be interfering with, but would she let him say one sentence. Houen angrily tells shock Yuulin, “Are you an idiot? Stop making irresponsible remarks and just go back to the harem already! The Princess leaving His Majesty’s side and going to His Servant’s resident to visit? How could you do such a careless thing? It really makes one unable to believe it! Without even thinking, you’re acting like a spoiled child towards His Majesty. Doing whatever it is that you just thought, there should be some propriety!” Aghast Yuulin thinks that what he said is fundamentally more than one sentence. Trembling, Yuulin tells him that she is only staying over at a friend’s house and for Houen to speak like that is really over the top. Houen scowls at her and asks if she really think that way. “You’re such an outrageous Princess.” Yuulin couldn’t answer back for she also knew that. “Of course, I know that it isn’t a good thing for the Princess to go out of the harem. But, I still have not.. I do not have the confidence to go back, and properly act. If I weren’t able to do the Princess job then I’ll really be fired.” They were interrupted by Suigetsu who says that there is some reason for that. Smiling, he asks Houen to sit down and he’ll prepare some tea. Houen grumbles that it is Han Suigetsu. Suigetsu says that they should be talking about some other interesting topics like the Spring Banquet. Yuulin thinks that Suigetsu has come to help her by changing the topic.
While making tea, Suigetsu says that first of all, he thinks that they should prepare a huge [music] band and a dance group to show His Majesty’s great... Houen interrupts by saying that a royal activity/event should be done more solemnly. Houen argues that what’s important is real progress and guaranteeing safety for if one only thinks of the appearance, there is a possibility that it will be thought of as superficial and fake. Suigetsu retorts back if that is so, and if one is only to ‘copy mechanically without attempting for originality’ [/too formal?], then one might be mistaken over the essence of the ceremony. While the two are busy debating, Yuulin watches them and thinks that it seems that she had this feeling before, as if she has seen this kind of scene in some place before. Then, she remembers that some days ago, she was watching Chancellor Shisei and Chancellor Gikou arguing before her. Yuulin thinks, “Ryu vs Han re-enactment!? *sweatdrops* Together with these guys’ fathers, their relationship isn’t good, either?” Still smiling, Suigetsu tells scowling Houen that no matter what is said, this is the first Spring Banquet that is going to be held, since His Majesty ascended to the throne so it won’t do if it isn’t done well. After a pause, Houen tells Suigetsu that he can really talk, yet he won’t dare stand in front of His Majesty [to say all that]..so this is just a waste of time. Houen looks at startled Yuulin and asks if he can already take his leave. Yuulin exclaims yes. After Houen leaves, Yuulin trembles in anger at how Houen looked at her with contempt, and it seems that Houen was unwilling to go out from the palace as an emissary to the Princess who has abandoned her duty. Suigetsu sadly says that if he is going to seriously work like that, then it is possible that he’ll lose his heart and other important things. Aghast, Yuulin says no, it seems that that kind of thinking isn’t exactly right. Suigetsu looks at her in puzzlement. Dispirited Yuulin tells him that even if the current her might perhaps, not be able to speak persuasively but working is really worthy of respect. Yuulin groans and thinks that she really wants to quickly go back to work. Smiling Suigetsu says that Her Highness is really bewildering [/incomprehensible]. That is a shock for Yuulin for she has been told to be bewildering, by a bewildering guy.
Taking a cup of tea to give to Yuulin, Suigetsu says that she is totally dearly loved by His Majesty. “Not knowing about the palace’s affairs and doing this baffling thing.. it is also understandable why Ryu Houen is worried.” Taking the cup, Yuulin widens her eyes in puzzlement and asks, “..Worry?” Suigetsu says that is right, Houen is very worried for Her Highness has unconsciously and unwittingly got involved into this power struggle. “--..It’s like this. Right now, within the palace, regarding who will be responsible for the Spring Banquet, ..it will be Your Highness who is going to decide on it.” Yuulin goes into shock and exclaims, “..e.eh!? Why me!?” Suigetsu says that it seems that she isn’t aware of it. “--a few days ago, didn’t the two Chancellors go, to see you regarding the Spring Banquet? Then, afterwards, Her Highness went here to visit.. Regarding this issue, it seems that a lot of people thought of it that way.” Aghast Yuulin shouts that it isn’t like that and His Majesty will not make her decide on such an important issue. Suigetsu tells her that even if that is the truth, the people around do not think that way because Her Highness is a special existence to His Majesty. “The disagreement between the Ryu family and the Han family is very serious. This time around, everyone is paying attention as to which side, His Majesty will choose. ..please, you should also be careful. Even if you are unaware of it but you are also in the middle of this problem.” Somewhere in the palace, the man, who told Gikou before that Yuulin went to Kouju’s place, tells Gikou that it really displeases him to see the Han faction looking happy as the day [of decision] approaches. “—Chancellor Gikou, if this continues on..” Gikou asks if he is saying that Her Highness is still staying at Han’s family residence. The man says yes, and His Majesty even sent someone to give flowers to her, thus His Majesty’s love for her has not been affected, by a little bit. Gikou tells him that someone like Her Highness is special and for him [officials of lower ranking] to get close, isn’t a good thing. “I’ll just wait for her to return to the palace and I might admonish her with a sentence, and that will be enough.” The man bows and says that it will be just as Gikou said.
That night, Yuulin couldn’t sleep. She thinks that she only went to a friend’s house and she never thought that this thing will be misunderstood that way. “During that time, I was really shock.. *Chomp!* and I have no other place to go.. *flustered Yuulin went to Kouju’s place* I feel that if I don’t quickly go back, things will become huge and it won’t be less than reassuring. *Dream Jun says that she is a useless worker* Because of an inconsiderate request based on my personal emotion, if I were to create problems for His Majesty, then, that’s too disappointing. It’s already not good if I don’t stir myself up properly. I should change my feelings and get back to work! ‘Not knowing anything, not thinking of anything, acting only as a Princess on the surface’. It is only like that. It’s fine if I can only do that. It isn’t something difficult to do.” Her thoughts are interrupted when a maid apologizes for disturbing her so late at night. “There is an emissary from the palace.” Yuulin asks, at this time. The maid says, “Yes. ..it is a secret visit by His Majesty’s close aide, Li Jun. Can I ask Your Highness if you want to see him or not?” Yuulin looks really afraid that he’s here. Somehow, she manages to mutter yes. While walking to meet with Jun, Yuulin thinks, “While I’m procrastinating, he really came! What to do, what to do, how should I prepare myself. *Dream Jun telling her that she’s fired* In the end, it will be like in that dream, right!? *Yuulin sees the servant telling Jun, who is wearing a hooded cape to come in* --no, even if it is not like that, first of all, I will absolutely going to be scolded!!” Jun is walking straight at Yuulin. Standing really straight and stiff, Yuulin exclaims, “I’m...I’m really sorry, Li Jun-sama. I wasn’t deliberately causing trouble for everyone--” She stops in surprise when Jun reaches out his hand to her face. It turns out that ‘Jun’ is Reishou. Reishou touches her face and says that she is quite lively. Yuulin looks at him in surprise and says, “You..Your..Majesty..?” Yuulin blushes and freaks out over this. Reishou tells her to keep it down, he is on a secret visit and he doesn’t want other people to know. As Reishou takes off his hood, Yuulin thinks, “No way- how can it be that the king himself came here!?” Yuulin’s heart is beating fast and loud.
Wolf mode Reishou asks, “—you’ve said that when you have calmed down, you’ll go back. I’m sorry to ask you this.. how long do I have to wait, Yuulin? It cannot keep on being like this, since this kind of situation of is just dragging things on.. just go back to the palace.” Yuulin cannot handle the loud and fast beating of her heart that she tearfully breaks away from him. Yuulin exclaims for surprised Reishou not to get close to her. Yuulin thinks that she still has no way of doing it. “My heart is beating so fast as if it is going to jump out. I have no way of looking at his face.” Reishou asks her if she is still angry. Shaking her head, Yuulin says no, it is her problem. Reishou asks, “—Are you still afraid?” As tears continues to fall, Yuulin thinks that his voice sounds cold. “It has been a long time since I have seen the Wolf King. *remembers Suigetsu saying that she likes Reishou even if he is scary and cold-hearted.* It isn’t like that. It isn’t ‘like’ and if I were to like him, I have no way of returning to his side.” Crying Yuulin apologizes to Reishou. After a pause, Reishou tells her, “..I’ve always thought of not forcing you [/your heart] –so, I permitted you to go out. If you need time, then I also gave you time. But right now, I won’t accept that refusal. *Yuulin continues to cry with closed eyes.* --Yuulin, only for now, can you deceive yourself and act for me. ..It is also okay even if it is just for a moment. *holding Yuulin’s face up to his* As a Princess who deeply loves me, nod and go back with me.” Yuulin looks at him in surprise and thinks, “Ah. Love..--!!?” Reishou quickly catches her before she falls down [from shock]. Reishou looks at her then lightly carries her on his shoulder. A note says that Yuulin has lost her strength thus she cannot resist. Reishou says, “Okay, if you got any objections, I’ll hear about it later on.” Reishou carries Yuulin out to a carriage where a driver is waiting. Yuulin is trembling and blushing. She thinks, “What’s up with this man!? What does he want me to do!? Detest..I really detest the Wolf King!! *Reishou tells the driver that they are going* It’s already over. There’s no way out. If this keeps up, I’ll quickly go through the finish line, where I’ll be fired--!!! Waaahh” Nearby the area, some suspicious men say that a woman is put inside the carriage and it is heading towards the harem. As they pull out their swords, someone say, “—Chase after it. The Wolf King’s Princess is inside.”
I like this chapter. ^^ It is really nice that Reishou came to get Yuulin back himself. Hehe, he never fails to unwittingly make Yuulin swoon because of the things he is saying. I don’t think that Yuulin would admit that she has fallen for Reishou because she’s thinking that it is something forbidden and make her unable to do her work. This might make her resist his advances but then, after what happened with the ‘bite’, I also kind of doubt if Reishou will try that again anytime soon. ^^; It does seem that it has been such a long time since an assassination attempt is tried on Yuulin. They must be waiting for any lapses to attack her and no wonder Reishou is always too protective of her. Actually, maybe that is one of the reason why Reishou came to fetch her himself. As for the sons, I’m really amused that they also cannot get along with each other just like their fathers. They really have two different philosophies on doing things = aesthetics vs practical; arts vs military; leniency vs discipline; understanding vs strict. It’s like the characteristics of a male and female. ^^; Maybe this is why the Ryuu family ‘likes’ the Wolf King while the Han family tend to ‘court’ Yuulin’s favor. Actually, both aren’t wrong and if Reishou can harness the strengths of both and make them get along with each other, he can make their kingdom a great one. Hm..now that I think of it, those two families seem like Reishou’s wolf and puppy mode personalities, a contrast from each other. ^^;; It seems that Suigetsu is also quite knowledgeable about the things happening in the palace even if he isn’t there. Hm..it seems that he also has some issues regarding work at the court. ^^; Anyway, finally, this is the latest Chinese scanlation so I’m updated with this series. ^-^v The Chinese scanlation group that is doing this series, releases a chapter erratically so it might not consistently come out every month. The other one is more consistent but currently, it is still at chapter 21. Scans by 狼陛下汉化組.

Mei-chan no Shitsuji [Chapter 104]
Tuesday, June 28, 2011
Then, Mei tries to think of some other phone number that she remembers. In some house, Natsumi* gets a phone call. [<- invented name based on kanji 夏美] She asks her mother who it is. Her mother tells her that she’ll know once she answers it. Natsumi is surprised that it is Mei. Note says that Natsumi is her best friend since elementary. Natsumi tells her that Kento hasn’t come back and wasn’t Kento supposed to be in the same school as Mei. Mei says that is right but a lot of things happened. Mei asks her to pass a message for her if Kento goes back there. Natsumi says that it is okay. When Kanata [Baseball guy] is about to eat, the phone rings. Kanata is asked to pass a message to Kento, and it is urgent. Kanata tries to call Kento but it is busy. He wonders if Kento is at work but since it seems like urgent. He then remembers something. Kanata calls Kei [actor fiance] who is preparing at the dressing room. While he is given a drink and put make-up on, Kei is also asked to pass the message to Shinnosuke [Kei’s manager; likes Izumi]. A note says that Kei managed to revive his showbiz career. Holding a book, Shinnosuke says he understands but he is no longer at the academy so can he give him some time. Then, Kiba gets a call from Shinnosuke. Kiba tries to tell him that he’ll call him later on [since he is still serving Izumi’s dinner. I think only first course is served because of the empty soup bowl.] Then, Kiba is surprised by what Shinnosuke told him. Kiba goes to Izumi and apologizes for disturbing her but there is a message from Shinnosuke. Izumi becomes dark over hearing that name. Izumi reads the note in front of everyone – ‘Shitai went to Steel Wire. At arena, catching fireflies. Faction really delicious ♡ Fujiko buy desktop computer.’ [<- that is literal and, suppose to be a pun of the real message.] The other girls are puzzled about the message especially Fujiko who doesn’t need a computer. Soon, Shinnosuke tells Kei, who tells Kanata, who tells Natsumi that the message has been received. Natsumi tells Mei that it was a success. Delighted, Mei thanks her.
After hanging up the phone, Mei waits for Kento’s phone call. Rrrringgg. Mei quickly picks it up and says, “Hello?” The other line says, “Mei..?” Mei is surprised for it is Izumi. Izumi says that it’s good to know that she is okay. Izumi is using a new technology phone that has a 100% effective scrambler. Kiba is glad that it was a success. Leon congratulates the ones who tried to decipher the message. Nezu is the one who guessed the message right – ‘Please tell Shibata! I’m currently at Harbor Hotel room 118, I’m using Fujiko’s name to register in. Please make him quickly contact me.’ Daimon had a headache for trying to guess. Aoyama has a new respect for Nezu who managed to understand the message. After a long pause, Mei apologizes to Izumi for secretly leaving the academy on her own. Izumi says that if it is convenient for her, can Mei tell her the reason. Afterwards, Izumi says, “..I understand. Kanzaki and others are heading out right now. Mei, stay right there and wait for them to arrive.” Mei asks her about Kento. Izumi tells her that Kento isn’t there. Surprised, Mei says that Kento isn’t at Four either. After a pause, Izumi tells her that Kento left the academy to chase after them, together with those two butlers. Mei is surprised over this. Izumi tells Mei to listen carefully, for right now, Kento is treating Shibata Rihito as the culprit for kidnapping her. “He will, treat Shibata-san as.. an enemy that must be defeated.” Mei is totally shock over this. Then, Izumi is surprised when Mei hangs up on her. Thinking over what Izumi just told her, Mei mentally tells Kento that it isn’t like that.
To her surprise, the phone starts ringing again. She wonders if it is Rihito. Mei answers it and it is from the front desk. The receptionist tells her that right now, s/he will pass the phone to her companion. The other line says, “..Mei-ojousama.” Mei happily exclaims, “Rihito-san..!?” Rihito tells her to prepare a bit and then head down. “I’ll be waiting for you at the first floor.” Mei says okay. Mei is really happy that Rihito is safe and sound. The elevator opens and she sees Rihito waiting for her. She rushes to him when Rihito holds her shoulder and says that they will be going out the back door for someone is chasing after them so they have to hurry. Mei exclaims if it is Kento who are chasing after them. Rihito asks how she knew. While running through the harbor, Mei thinks, “So, it is..” Mei apologizes and says that it is because she is really worried about him so she contacted Izumi who told her about it. “Shibata, he.. thought that you had kidnapped me, then afterwards, escape.. so he is with those other two butlers, wanting to catch you.. He is totally mistaken.. for it is I, who wanted to go away with you!” Mei is surprised to see a huge antique [like a pirate] ship with some rose-type decorations, waiting at the pier. Rihito tells her to quickly board that ship. After boarding up the ship, Mei looks around and thinks that ship is huge but then, how come she doesn’t see any other person there. Rihito tells her to follow him to that side. While walking behind him, Mei asks Rihito about the ship. With a different voice, Rihito says, “For you, Mei-ojousama, to be deceived.. it seems that my disguise this time around has been quite a success..” Surprised Mei recognizes the voice and wonders, “Could it be..” ‘Rihito’ takes off his wig and says, “It has been a long time since I’ve seen you, Mei-ojousama.” Mei thinks, “Shinobu..san--?”
The ‘pass the message’ is quite cute in a way and just like the game, the end result is different from the original message. =P I do think that Kento is indeed a special person for Mei aside from being her childhood friend but, he’s just not what he wants her to think/feel about him. I hope Mei had left a message for Kanzaki and Tami who are going to fetch her. I do wonder where Rihito is. Was he caught by Shinobu that he also planned to lure Mei in, too? If not, how come Shinobu knows where Mei is? Were they really chased? Or it was just Shinobu’s alibi to make Mei go with him? I wonder if Shinobu will be using in some way the information that Mei told him. After all, it is because of the Shibata brothers that ruined Shiori. Anyway, it does seem that Shinobu is dangerous since he no longer limits himself to impersonating Rihito for Shiori’s sake/delusion. Hehe, now it seems like Mei is indeed kidnapped by ‘Rihito’. Ojousama wa Oyomesama [Chapter 80]
Monday, June 27, 2011
While her hand is shaking, Towako apologizes and picks up the tray. Ritsuki realizes why Towako acted that way so he tells her not to be afraid of him because he won’t do that awful thing to her again. Towako looks surprised at Ritsuki’s flustered expression that she calls him a cruel person for suddenly acting like someone who’s innocent. “Do you even know what you are doing!? I won’t forgive you! If you are sincere about what you’ve just said, then let me go home right away!” Towako angrily slams the door upon leaving. She wonders what’s up with that nonsense stuff that Ritsuki is saying, and what could he be plotting. Towako thinks that Ritsuki is a guy who secretly planned scary plots to force her and Yuuga to separate. She won’t waver even if he suddenly became nice. “This isn’t the time to be restless. It is necessary to find a way to escape..” She looks at the curtained window and then, she opens the curtains. Trying to be brave, Towako tells herself that no matter what, she should escape from that place and go back to Yuuga’s side. At Kanmitsuki’s residence, Setsuna is shock that Towako hasn’t been found yet and Yuuga is also missing. He complains on how things turn out that way just when he left home and what is that idiot [Yuuga] doing. While on the computer, Utsugi is surprised to learn that they also couldn’t contact Tsubaki. Utsugi urges Setsuna that they go back to the Gokurakuin residence again because the intelligence network there [at Kanmitsuki] is quite limited. Setsuna decides against that for Ritsuki ought to have a spy in every place. He is worried about placing Towako in greater danger if they are to boldly take an action like that. He tells Utsugi that there are things that should be done there. When Utsugi tries to protest about not being able to get more intelligence there, a maid interrupts and says that Yachiougi’s Mioko has come to visit him. Setsuna exclaims in surprise as to why she is there so early in the morning. After tea is served, Mioko apologizes for being sudden and asks if Towako is in a dangerous situation. Setsuna is surprised that she knows. Mioko gives them a laptop computer and tells them to investigate it for it belongs to her husband. Mioko says that this has something to do with her husband. She doesn’t know if it will help or not, and she also brought his hard disk which she hopes that there will be some important data inside.
As Utsugi quickly takes the computer to work on it, Setsuna tells Mioko that even if he is really grateful for this but, is it really okay for her to be doing this. Mioko tells him not to unnecessarily worry about her for, it is because of her mistake that Yachiougi family [assets] is taken away and used to cause trouble for the Godaimeika. While Utsugi realizes that he has to figure out the password on the computer, Setsuna tells her not to say it that way for he is also partly responsible for it. “If there is someone to blame, you should blame that guy.” Setsuna advises her to talk things out with her grandfather for it ought to be not yet too late. Mioko interrupts him by saying that the one that Kyousuke loves, isn’t her, but rather, the one that person loves, along with that guy named Ritsuki, is to create a new world together. “He said that everything in the world is boring. They want to mess up this world’s order by controlling Japan’s economy..” In surprise, Setsuna says that is such an idiotic thing to do. Mioko agrees with him. She says that even if those two were able to actualize their goal, Kyousuke will definitely still feel despondent upon realizing that it is also very ‘boring’. “So-- it is necessary to stop him. Because, I am that person’s wife.” Setsuna looks surprised. Then, he says that he understands, okay, they should work together to properly prepare in order to put up with those guys until the end. They didn’t realize that Mitsuya is standing outside the room, eavesdropping on them. Meanwhile, in some storage area, Yuuga wakes up to find himself tied up on a pole. Someone says, “Are you awake? Takatori Yuuga.” Yuuga looks surprised for it is Kyousuke. Kyousuke tells Yuuga that for him to walk right into the trap, it is either Yuuga is brave or stupid. Yuuga shouts for him to shut up for he isn’t the person he’s looking for. Yuuga asks where Ritsuki and Towako are. Kyousuke tells Yuuga that originally, he planned to just quietly watch at the side but things have changed. Remembering Ritsuki confessing to him that he has fallen for Towako, Kyousuke says that he has some worries. Yuuga angrily says that he didn’t notice, as to what would make Kyousuke worried, and is Kyousuke treating him like a fool. [<- why Kyousuke would be worried about something when the one who is tied up is Yuuga.] Kyousuke says that he’ll say it one more time, break up with Gokurakuin Towako. Yuuga smirks and asks if it is that again. Yuuga is surprised when Kyousuke suddenly hits the wall with his fist. With a menacing look, Kyousuke says, “I’m not like Ritsuki who is quite naive. If you won’t listen, then, from today on, don’t think that you can see her again..!” Yuuga looks surprise over this threat.
Okay, it turns out that my guess as to who took Yuuga is wrong. It wasn’t Setsuna nor Tsubaki but Kyousuke. ^^; I guess Kyousuke had become nervous since Ritsuki has wavered and fallen for Towako. That is indeed dangerous for Ritsuki knows his plans and he might not want to do the things that they’ve planned. I do think that Kyousuke is the more dangerous one of the duo. Oh well, at least, Kyousuke won’t be bored in a while because the ‘good guys’ are now moving to do something. I do wonder though if Mitsuya is also a spy for Ritsuki. Hehe, it took an almost touch for Towako to remember again what Ritsuki tried to do to her. It seems to have made her a bit desperate to get out. I kind of forgot if that window is shatter-proof. If she breaks it, others might know where she is from the glass debris falling down. Ritsuki is also sick so hopefully, Towako can use this opportunity to escape before Yuuga commits anything to Kyousuke. I think that Ritsuki can eat the food Towako made because he has eaten stuff that tasted worst than that. ^^; Since Tsubaki cannot be contacted, I guess she is also doing something. I wonder if she followed Yuuga. The Gokurakuin residence ought to have surveillance cameras all over the place to notice that Yuuga slipped out. =P As for Mioko, it seems that she has become stronger and to my surprise, as Kyousuke’s wife, she even made herself responsible in stopping him. Good luck to her. Scans by 17kkmh.com

Akuma to Love Song [Chapter 88]
Saturday, June 25, 2011
Maria smiles at him and says that he really knows his father’s work in detail. This made Yuusuke blush. He looks away and says that he knows pretty much but then, knowing and wanting to do it are two different things. “And isn’t this what you’ve said! It is necessary to look for something one would want to do! How about singing? Just now, wasn’t there that comment? *excited* That’s right, become a singer! Your voice can make people happy and this is something that only you can do!” Later on, at her apartment, Maria is busy reading a book on how to become a singer. She reads out loud that 1. audition, and 2. give your demo tape. Maria wonders if it has to be a demo tape and won’t a PV do. She then searches her drawers for some data that Yuusuke gave her. Maria thinks that even if she doesn’t quite understand it but upon hearing Yuusuke say the word, ‘singer’, she felt that this way, she can be closer to Shin. At Yokohoma Music Company, the receptionist asks Maria if she is visiting and sorry, if she doesn’t have an appointment.. To the receptionist’s surprise, Maria apologizes for boldly going there but does she have time to look at these for a while. Putting three USB memory sticks on the table, Maria says that she brought that much and she can even leave them for her. The receptionist tells her that one is enough. Then, someone asks who that person is. A couple of guys look at Maria and seem to recognize her. While the receptionist apologizes to the guys that she already told Maria.., the men say that it is alright and ask Maria to sing some lines. The receptionist is surprised that Maria is going to sing there. Thinking that she can walk in the same path as Shin and be together with him, Maria starts singing. The two guys look surprised then the older guy thanks Maria and says that is enough. To Maria’s surprise, the older guy tells her that she is singing for someone but for a so-called singer, it is necessary to move a lot of people’s hearts. He also tells her to come back when she already has that kind of thinking. Maria thinks that she didn’t thought about that before. She remembers Shin telling the music teacher before, that for Maria, singing is her way for her to express her feelings.
At Sakuragichou JR station, Maria looks up and mutters Shin’s name. Flustered she thinks that regarding this current situation, she really doesn’t have the face to see Shin. She remembers her friends telling her about their plans for the future. She thinks that everyone is advancing and only she is being left behind. Maria looks determined and then, she thinks that there are a lot of strangers there so, she’ll sing.. She starts singing as some people are looking at her. Maria hopes that filled with feelings, she can convey.. Then, she remembers Shin. She stops singing and mutters that she couldn’t sing to a lot of people. Sitting down on the ground with her head bowed within her folded arms, Maria thinks that she obviously couldn’t even convey the feeling of ‘want to see Meguro’. Then, a guy stands in front of her. He asks if she won’t sing anymore. Maria replies that it is to no avail even if she sings. The guy asks, “No avail?” Maria tells him that she couldn’t convey it so it is also meaningless to keep on singing. Maria is surprised when the guy says, “That’s not true. At least, it made me, want to really, really want to see you, and come back here. *Maria looks up* Thanks to your song.” Maria’s eyes widen in surprise for it is Shin. Smiling Shin holds his scarred right hand to her and tells her to come. With mouth open, Maria looks really flustered in disbelief and she starts to cry. Shin pats her head and calls her silly for what’s up with her. Shin bends down to Maria and pats her head to comfort her. Crying in joy Maria thinks that it is Meguro, and she was able to convey it. “The song bearing my feelings has been conveyed to him--”
This is a nice chapter even if some parts are a bit silly in my opinion. I like the reunion and the feeling of ‘fate’ of Shin being there when she is feeling down. It’s nice to have a ‘welcome song’ upon arrival. I do find it silly that it seems Maria never thought of becoming a singer, and it is kind of strange that she didn’t quickly recognize Shin’s voice. Oh well, maybe she just never thought of becoming a singer since she always thought that everyone can sing nicely like she does. Maybe she is quite distressed and that place is noisy that she wasn’t able to immediately realize that it is Shin. Also, I think it is the first time I’ve heard that a producer won’t take a gifted singer in because of whom the singer is conveying the song to. ^^; As for Yuusuke, even if he doesn’t want to, I have a feeling that he might end up taking his father’s occupation. If it’s not that, there is still that option of becoming a director. Anyway, I guess Shin didn’t contact her to concentrate on getting well and to give Maria a surprise visit. =P I wonder though if Shin is just visiting or is he going to stay for good. A few more chapters to go.. Scans by 17kkmh.com

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun [Chapter 18]
Friday, June 24, 2011
In the classroom, Asako and Sasayan are shock when Shizuku tells Asako that she didn’t wish her ‘gambatte’ and Micchan has already rejected her. She advises Asako to be more prudent else she’ll cause trouble to the other. Asako nervously exclaims that it isn’t so, because Micchan is just startled and if there is a 1% probability of it becoming successful, she should seize it and try it out. While Haru is playing with a Rubik’s cube, Asako asks Sasayan if she is right. To her shock, Sasayan says ya, Micchan had already rejected her. When Ayako is nervous asking him that didn’t he wished her to ‘do her best’, Haru looks up and asks the three what they are talking about. After recovering from the surprise, the trio tell each other that is right, the one closest to Micchan is here and it is really amazing that he still doesn’t know anything. Asako freaks out over how blunt Shizuku is when Shizuku tells Haru that apparently, Ayako likes Micchan so what’s his opinion about it. Haru’s expression freezes. After a pause, Haru says that if they get married, he and Ayako will become relatives. Outside the school building, Haru tells Sasayan that he was really startled. Sasayan asks if it is about Asako. Haru says that it is quite unexpected that Ayako likes Micchan even if Micchan is actually an okay guy. Sasayan asks if that is so but then, he can understand that, but he wonders why it feels like that everyone is deliberately choosing on something hard to do and why not just like someone whom one can mutually like, and be happy. Haru says that he is amazing and does Sasayan know which person would like oneself. Sasayan says that he doesn’t know quite well but that is what he felt [<- gut feel?]. Sasayan asks if that is true with Haru towards Shizuku. Haru says ya. Then, Haru asks if what Sasayan is talking about is about him and Shizuku. Sasayan says yes. Sasayan looks puzzled when Haru seems to be lost in thought. Flashback: A woman in a lab coat told young Haru, who is surrounded by books, “You fundamentally do not know.. about the warmth between people when one touches the other. You should not know what this warmth is! So, I’m going to cast a magic spell on you!” End flashback. At the benches outside the cemetery [which seems like a building], Micchan is thanking the visitors for coming. Yuuzan comes and tells Micchan that he did a good job. [<- ‘good work’ greeting]. Sitting by the benches, Micchan lights up a cigarette. Yuuzan apologizes to him since he is the only one who went there because in the end, his stubborn father won’t come. Micchan tells him to forget it and it is enough that his uncle went to the funeral last year. Yuuzan comments that Micchan’s heart is really wide and the things that a popular guy says are really out of the ordinary. Micchan sweatdrops over that. He then changes the topic by asking if Yuuzuan saw his mother just now during the cleaning of the grave, he [Micchan] saw her faintly. Yuuzan says that he did more or less, and he still doesn’t know how to get along with that person. Yuuzan asks if Haru knows about this. Micchan says that he didn’t tell Haru about it and it’s too troublesome. Haru is already always quite irritable and if he is to let Haru know, who knows when Haru will suddenly blow his top [/driven mad]. Yuuzan laughs and says that it is such a thorny problem. Micchan tells him that it isn’t because of Yuuzan that Haru became like that. Yuuzan tells Micchan that he’s going ahead for he has to go to class. Just when Yuuzan is leaving, Micchan tells thanks him for coming today. Yuuzan waves back and passes through the building.
Inside the building, Yuuzan sees Haru. Haru just quietly walks away. Yuuzan tells Haru that he is amazing today for he didn’t suddenly run away after seeing his [Yuuzan] face and besides, Haru fundamentally has no way of properly greeting their relatives. Yuuzan tells him that he still won’t give Haru a passing mark. Haru replies that Yuuzan must not to misunderstand for he went there for Micchan’s mother. After looking at Haru’s back, Yuuzan irritates Haru by telling him that it must be tiring to Shizuku that Haru still has that revolting behavior. Haru angrily shouts that he cannot mention Shizuku’s name. Yuuzan tells him that he is still like a kid for being so possessive. “Are afraid that she’ll be snatch away? ..you do that, at all costs [/as if your life depended on it].. and you still weren’t able to trust her.. right? Let me tell you! Because in your heart, you are the only one who is the most important, so regarding other people, you won’t believe [them] a bit! And, there is also no one who can accept that kind of you! The proof of that is, right now, she.. definitely doesn’t have a thing that can make you attain contentment, right?” Haru grinds his teeth in anger. Then, Micchan hits Yuuzan’s head. While Yuuzan exclaims that hurts, Micchan tells Haru not to totally believe what Yuuzan said to be true for Yuuzan is only thinking that it is fun to see how Haru would react after hearing those words. Holding his head, Yuuzan says that he is just giving Haru an advice. Haru sadly says okay, and then, he turns to leave. Flashback 1: Drip. Drip. The faucet is dripping into the sink. Blowing her bubble gum, a woman opened the door and asked a boy sitting by the window if he is Haru. The woman greeted him and said that she, his aunt Kyouko, will be responsible for taking care of him from today on. She apologized about before, it took such a long time for her to come back because she is busy preparing her thesis [/research paper]. Kyouko said that she remembered for some time that he should already be in junior high. She asked him what happened, why did he fight with those guys. Bruised Haru said that it is all those other people’s fault, for who told them to give him a disgusted look. Kyouko asked if that is so, then for him, that is his defensive reaction but from the news that she heard, Haru is the first one who attacked that boy who usually treated him in a friendly way. “Why do you hit him until he cannot even stand up? Is it necessary to attack him that way? And, ..why are you crying right now? Are those tears of regret? Or are you grieving over his injuries that you’ve caused? Even if it is like this, at that time, why would you hit him? Or is it that you, yourself..” Haru threw a book towards her and shouted that she’s annoying. Kyouko popped her bubble gum and said that this is a thorny problem. She wondered how she handled Mitsuyoshi [/Micchan] in those days. Later on, Haru had just turned over a bowlful of milk and cereal. Kyouko said that it is quite wasteful when that cereal is obviously delicious. She asked him what he is unsatisfied about. Haru complained as to who can endure eating that cereal everyday. Kyouko asked if that is so, for she ate it everyday yet she doesn’t get tired of it. Much later on, in a room filled with books, younger Micchan asked his mother who that brat is. While reading something, Kyouko said that he is Haru, her elder brother’s son. Haru seemed to be afraid of Micchan. When Micchan is saying, so he is Yuuzan’s younger brother, Haru punched him on the nose. Micchan’s nose is bleeding. Then, the two started to fight that Kyouko shouted for Mitsuyoshi to stop.
Much later on, in what seems to be a school-type building, Haru is reading some books on the sofa. Carrying a monkey, Kyouko in a lab coat, came in and said that Haru had come in there again. Haru perked up and exclaimed that it is a monkey. While making some coffee, Kyouko told Haru that it is the baby of a gorilla and its name is Yuka [invented name based on kanji 百合]. Kyouko asked if Haru likes it. Haru happily exclaimed that he really likes animals. Kyouko smiled and said that he is a silly boy for humans are also animals. Haru [/Kyouko?] exclaimed that it is an old way of thinking to say that ‘humans are living things with spirits’. Some other night, Haru is still reading books on the sofa. While getting some water to drink, Kyouko asked Haru what he thinks humans are. Haru replied that they are spinal animals, belong to the family of mammals, of the primate order, and yet at the same time, they are also the most baffling creatures on earth. Kyouko told him that is right but there are other things, too. She asked him as humans, what other things they can do. Haru answered that they can teach, talk [/speech], do things and also love. Kyouko exclaimed that Haru doesn’t know love therefore, he isn’t a human. Hiding his face inside his book, Haru muttered that of course, he knows love, it is that thing between a male and a female.. Holding up her glass of water, Kyouko asked Haru to think whether it is cold or it is warm. Haru exclaimed that of course, it is cold. Kyouko asked him how come he knew it is cold when he didn’t even touch it. Haru looked surprised by this. Kyouko told him that he has to exchange the things he knows with the things he doesn’t know and if he can do that, he can widen his experience. Haru is surprised when Kyouko waved her hand in front of Haru. She told him, “It’s vexing, isn’t it? So for you, ‘others’ will hurt you. Thus, the ‘peace’ within your heart, is always affected by uneasiness. ‘Warmth’ is just a word. Coldness has affected your heart. *slight smile* ..Okay then, Haru! I’m going to cast a magic spell on you. One day or perhaps, in one moment, this hand will make you feel the feeling of warmth. And, perhaps, it will allow you to attain some thing.. and make you feel content.. Until then, I believe.. you’ll definitely become an extremely happy person!” End flashback. Flashback 2: While sitting below the window of the practice baseball hitting area, Haru heard Shizuku telling Yamaken and others to be more sincere in being friends with Haru. Then, while Shizuku walks up the stairs, crying Haru followed her from behind. Shizuku walked down to him and gave him a hug. At that time, Haru remembered Kyouko’s words that ‘one day, perhaps in a moment, this hand will make him feel the feeling of warmth.’ End flashback 2.
At Shizuku’s house, Shizuku has finished vacuuming the floor. There is a flyer on the table on electronic dictionaries. One of the model is encircled with a pen. After dressing up, Shizuku calls upstairs to Takaya that she is going out and lunch is already ready on the table. Holding a game pad, her younger brother asks where she is going. Shizuku says that she is going to buy something which will take around two and a half hour. Takaya tells her to take care on her way. While walking outside, Shizuku thinks that it is such a bright day today so when she gets home she is going to gather the clothes that are already dried by the sun. And then, she is going to prepare dinner. Afterwards, while her father isn’t home yet, she is going to carefully study the instruction book, and after that, she is going to study. In high spirits, Shizuku thinks that today ought to be a very satisfying day. Then, she stops on her tracks when someone calls out to her. Shizuku thinks that scheduled plan will now be messed up. She turns around to see Haru sitting on the bars by the stairs. Thinking that she has already gotten used to her scheduled plan being messed up, Shizuku asks him why he is there. Haru somewhat smiles and says that he came to see her. Puzzled Shizuku asks what it is. Haru says that right now, there is something he wants to ask of her. Shizuku is surprised and puzzled when Haru starts patting her head. Sweatdropping Shizuku calls his name. Haru asks her if he can kiss her. Shizuku blushes really red over this. Haru looks at her with blank eyes. After recovering from her surprise, Shizuku says he can. Haru touches her face. Blushing Shizuku nervously closes her eyes. Her heart is pounding fast and loud. Then, after waiting, Shizuku opens her eyes. Haru is no longer there. Shizuku is stunned then she falls on her knees since Haru startled her [or was he tricking her]. She looks down to see Haru walking downstairs. She then thinks that perhaps something has happened. “I feel that he definitely came to confirm something, so he came here to see me.. I obviously know that.. I should chase and call after him.. and then ask him.. ‘Did something happen?’ ‘Do you have any problems?’ But, at this moment, my feet.. why won’t move a single step? Haru is like that. I am like that.. why.. would we carelessly stop making a step?” Shizuku stands up and pats the dirt off her. Then, she walks at the opposite direction. In the streets, Yamaken is walking..lost again. ^^; He thinks that he wasn’t careful that he ended up in some strange place so maybe he should go call a taxi. He decides not to and just continue find the way. As Yamaken continues to walk at the corner of a building, Shizuku is heading his way. And, there is a car blowing its horn. Omake 1: While reading a book, Micchan asks Haru if he thinks of him as some sort of ‘uncle’. After a pause, Haru asked if this is a so-called mind reading. Micchan says ya. It seems that Micchan is really bugged over that ‘uncle fetish’ that Ayako mentioned. Omake 2: Haru reads a book then looks at Micchan then goes back reading the book. Haru then exclaims that he really cannot imagine Micchan and Ayako doing that kind of thing. Micchan tells him to just think of that within himself and not say it to others.
I like this chapter for it shows how Kyouko had somehow ‘straighten’ Haru up in a way. She seems to be a single mother but I think she had brought up Micchan and partly Haru well. And because of their arrangement, Micchan does seem like a ‘brother’ to Haru. That magic charm is really nice and it came true. ^^ I’m guessing that Kyouko is some sort of scientist and I have a feeling that Haru might go on that path later on. I think that Yuuzan keeps on angering Haru to somehow keep himself a bit relevant in a way, to Haru. Micchan has already taken over his role as a ‘brother’ so it seems like Yuuzan wanted Haru to pay attention to him. But then, the things Yuuzan says can really hurt Haru even if they do seem to be the truth. Because Micchan said that Haru didn’t become like that because of him, I wonder if it is because of Haru’s parents. It seems that there is a problem with their mother. Somehow, I think that Haru’s family is a bit dysfunctional that is why Haru is like that...unless of course, he is just overly sensitive. From the talk about ‘warmth’, it seems that Haru has never experienced that and everyone has been ‘hurting’ him until Kyouko took care of him. I did read that those who have high IQ have a tendency to have low EQ. Well, there are just too many factors that contributed to it. As for Natsume, she is really in love and like Sasayan, I can understand that she won’t give up easily because it is her first time. Hehe, but then, her friends aren’t exactly encouraging her in some way because she technically has already been rejected. ^^; Scans by kiri for BW

Then, a black haired girl shouted to the others that Asako didn’t do anything wrong. This surprised those girls as they shouted, ‘Maki’. [Invented name based on kanji, 真希] Maki told Asako to also say something to those girls bad mouthing her. Asako is touched by what Maki said. So, for the first time, she made friends. Maki told Asako who her crush is. Asako happily looked at Maki and her crush goofing around. As Asako left, the crush looked at Asako’s direction. Later on, Maki asked Asako if she likes any guy. Asako happily said that she doesn’t have any because she doesn’t like guys too much. If there is anyone whom she has to like, it would be Maki. Maki says that she has been chatting with Saita, [invented name based on kanji, 西田] Maki’s crush. Asako said that she doesn’t like him because Saita is the guy whom Maki likes. Asako is puzzled when Maki asks her in doubt, if it is truly like that. Then, while working on her failed exams after school, Asako is surprised to see Saita blushing at her. Asako quickly tried to run away but Saita grabbed her wrist. When Asako tried to resist, Maki entered the room with her friends. Asako looked nervous and aghast when Maki’s expression darken and looked really angry at her. End flashback. While doing some calisthenics during PE, Asako tells Shizuku and Chizuru that kind of situation happened around 42 times in the span of 5 days that by the end of second year, she had become an eyesore to all the girls in school. Chizuru and Shizuku are shock by this. Asako tells them that she had completely lost hope in the real world that she searched for a safe haven, and that is when she started her journey in wandering around the internet. She asks the two if they want to hear about it because that is the good part. Shizuku falls over and tells her that is enough for today. Shizuku asks why Asako is telling them that all of a sudden. While the boys are outside playing snow and Shitayanagi is peeking at Asako from the door, Asako says that it is because Shizuku asked before why she hates guys. She tells them that no matter who, she won’t dare get close to guys anymore because it is all their fault that she wasn’t able to have any female friends. Shizuku says that she always thought that there is a reason why Ayako is acting that way and no matter how she asked before, Ayako won’t speak about it. Asako exclaims, she knows so she feels that it is for the best that she won’t get involved with guys again. Chizuru looks at her and asks what about Haru and Sasayan. While balancing at the gymnastic bench, Asako says that fundamentally those two do not give her any misgivings. Chizuru says that is great. Then, Shizuku asks what about Micchan. To their surprise, Asako falls down the bench. The two exclaim if she is alright and is there something wrong with her neck. Tilting her head to the side, Asako is nervously sweating and blushing. She mutters, “Mi..mi...miccha.. micchhan.., is already an ‘uncle’.”
After school, the foursome are walking home when Asako freaks out upon seeing Micchan, who walks toward them and greets them. Haru and Shizuku tell Micchan that they are going to eat okonomiyaki with everyone and talk about the picnic. While Micchan are talking with the others, blushing Asako nervously wonders if this is ragnarok [myth about the ultimate destruction of the gods in a battle with evil. Source: Free Dictionary]. She thinks that from that time on [New Year] she would always avoid Micchan and she didn’t think that she will suddenly meet him there today. Sasayan is looking at her. She also thinks that if she went steady with Micchan, but towards guys, she.. A note says that Asako didn’t think of the possibility that she’ll be rejected. Asako looks nervous when Micchan is looking at her. Then, Micchan asks what happened to her neck. Her neck is on a brace. Asako says that she wasn’t careful during PE that she fell down. Micchan says that it must have hurt but it is good that she is in good spirits because before the New Year, she is quite listless which made him worry about her. He asks if she had already made up with that youngster. Wondering who that youngster is, Asako happily laughs that it is thanks to him. She tells them that she is going ahead because she suddenly remembered that she is an expecting a package that is going to be mailed to her today. They bid her to take care on her way. After she leaves, Micchan is puzzled why Sasayan is looking at him. Haru and Shizuku seem to be arguing about a place to spend winter break[?] wherein Haru wants it to be near a water side but Shizuku refuses since it is winter. They were interrupted by Micchan who tells Haru that it is okay for them to talk about the picnic but Haru should remember about that thing for next week. Haru says okay. Shizuku is a bit puzzled by Haru’s expression. Elsewhere, Asako is drinking juice while sitting in a box at what seems to be the PE equipment storage room. She is really relieved that what she said had flown out of Micchan’s ear. Flashback: While on the internet, someone comments about how funny the Rusty Iron Mask Superhero is. Asako is about to answer back in agreement about it when her cellphone rings. It was an email from some guy named Mohai [guesswork name based on 蒙沛], wants to meet with her or rather date her and be GorbesaGolbez’s* source of strength. [*Asako’s internet name; guesswork name based on the kanji 戈爾貝薩..in Chinese.] Asako’s hair stood up in disgust over that. She exclaimed that it is this again, she doesn’t want to meet but then, Mr. Mohai is a good guy. She thought that some guys are truly weird and they obviously don’t understand her. Lying sideways on the bed, Asako felt uncomfortable.
Then, the scene changes to some guys are cheering when a guy confessed to Asako during junior high. Asako nervously thought that don’t be like that, everyone is watching. Then, she saw Maki and friends glaring at her then Maki looked away. This made Asako shout that the guy is too troublesome. While the guy and friends are surprised, Asako quickly ran up to the roof. Remembering the fun she had with the girls before and the guys are laughing, Asako burst into tears. “Why am I always alone? Why can’t I have friends? Everyone have that ordinary thing yet why is it unattainable for me? It seems that my heart is being pierced by numerous needles, and it’s like I’m going to die!” End flashback. Teary-eyed Asako remembers Micchan telling her that being in love makes one mature and Micchan asking about her neck. Asako blushes really red and rumples her hair. In the classroom, Shizuku looks out the window and notices that it is snowing. She notices that Haru is making something in the snow. She wonders if he isn’t cold and why does everyone like the snow. As she continues to write, Shizuku thinks that Haru’s mood became good after vacation but then, maybe it is because cram school has ended. Then, Shizuku remembers Yamaken who is always paying attention to her bento box and wonders if he likes to eat. [<- this is in the chapter 15’s omake; Yamaken wanted to take the opportunity to invite her to eat but Shizuku always brought her own bento box. =P] Then, Asako, carrying a lot of juice drinks, opens the door and enters in. Shizuku says that she finally came to class. She asks Asako where she went the whole day yesterday. Asako tells her that it is nothing, she only jumped into a box and thought of some things. Shizuku asks if she has been drinking too many juices lately and shouldn’t she control herself a bit. Drinking again, Asako exclaims for her not to mind her for there are times when a girl needs to have her sugar. Shizuku lets her be and continues to write. Asako then tells her that she have something to tell her. Shizuku waits for her then, she gets fed up that she exclaims to Asako what it is. Blushing and looking nervous, Asako tells her that during New Year, she had made a confession to Micchan. After Shizuku made Asako repeat it, Shizuku becomes confused for yesterday, Asako just called Micchan an ‘uncle’ and is that a ‘confession’ like boy to girl type of confession. Asako says that she also doesn’t know why it is like that, and maybe it is the New Year’s mood. Asako admits that what Shizuku said is right and yesterday, after seeing Micchan for the first time, even if Micchan said those things to her, but she wants to make him know of her feelings. Asako asks Shizuku if she is troubling Micchan. Shizuku looks flustered over being asked by this. Then, she tells Asako that perhaps, and if Asako is bothered by it, she should go ask Micchan about it. Asako exclaims how she can do that. Shizuku asks why she can’t, doesn’t she like Micchan. Asako feels faint that she exclaims that is weird and she knows that during junior high, she is the public enemy of all the girls in school.
Shizuku apologizes and says that she isn’t too clear about what happened to Asako in the past but what does that have anything to do with her liking Micchan. Asako exclaims that of course it has, and in the end, it is definitely will be that [/happen] again. Not only will she hinder some other person’s love, she might also carelessly hurt someone. Shizuku looks at her and bluntly tells Asako that, that thing is that and this thing is this, they are fundamentally two things. Flustered Asako angrily tells her to please not negate someone’s past with just a sentence. Shizuku tells her that didn’t she said before that that it is natural to have that special kind feeling to someone who is near oneself. Shizuku confesses that she is always afraid that after being attracted to Haru, she has always been changing but right now, she wants to bravely accept the changes in her. Then, Shizuku angrily mutters that even if she wants to actualize that, why is it always like that, she felt like blowing her top about that thing on the day after tomorrow, it really makes her feel impatient. Asako nervously asks what she is talking about. Shizuku sees Haru finished making a huge Nagoya snow structure. Shizuku says forget about that. She advises Asako to let go of that past and there is nothing that is binding her. Asako seems to be moved by what she said. Asako tells Shizuku that Micchan told her that love can change a person and make one mature. She admits that she is always envious of Shizuku and Haru. “If..there is a guy who can totally accept the real me, then it would be great! ..and right now, I really hope that person is Micchan..” Shizuku asks if she’s saying that she likes Micchan. With a dreamy look, Asako says that is true, she likes him, or perhaps, she really likes him. Asako looks flustered-surprised by that. Then, to her surprise, Asako screams loudly that upon saying that, her heart is beating really fast. She happily says that if it is Micchan, she won’t be an obstacle to anyone. Shizuku sweatdrops and says that is hard to say and she should ask Micchan himself about that. Asako thanks Shizuku and exclaims that she’ll do her best. After Asako runs out of the room, Shizuku thinks that she had lost to Asako. Seeing Asako confessing earlier, Shizuku felt something pressing in her heart that she couldn’t breathe. Shizuku opens the window and calls out to Haru. Haru tells her that he just saw Asako running really fast and she is really weird. He asks her if she wants to buy something since he is going to buy something to drink. Shizuku tells him that she wants pickled cabbage bread/bun. Shizuku thinks that she always felt that it seems something is wrong.
Micchan enters the game center and greets Sasayan who is practicing his swing on a baseball bat. Sasayan happily tells him that he finally bought a MY fishing rod. Micchan says that’s great and would he want to go again. He tells him that if it is convenient, Sasayan can schedule it with the others. Sasayan chews his gum and looks at Micchan. Sasayan asks if that is okay, because if Asako also come, don’t he be very troubled. Holding a picture frame and putting it on his desk, Micchan asks why he said that, pretty girl Natsume is a nice kid. Sasayan scowls and asks him if Micchan did that deliberately that other day or he is really naive for he is making him [Sasayan] confused. Puzzled Micchan looks at him and asks what about pretty girl Natsume. Swing his bat, Sasayan says that it is nothing and perhaps, she won’t go there anymore. To Sasayan’s surprise, Micchan says that Asako is there. Asako peeks in and says that she’s there. Micchan welcomes her and asks about her neck. Asako exclaims that because of love, it has already healed. Sasayan sweatdrops and thinks that he cannot take it anymore, he doesn’t understand those two. When Sasayan thinks that it has nothing to do with him, Asako asks what’s with that picture on the desk. To their surprise, Micchan says that it is his mother, it will be her first year death anniversary. Last year, during the funeral rites, he wasn’t able to use a descent photo. Later on, while he is tidying things up, he found that picture from an album so he decided to bring that picture there to make his mother see the situation of his store. He is surprised when Ayako tugs his sleeve. Micchan apologizes and tells her that she shouldn’t mind that too much. Flustered Ayako tells him to cheer up. “I..I will stay at your side and protect you! I absolutely..will not let you be alone by yourself..” Micchan and Sasayan look surprised. Sasayan looks tense when Micchan smiles at Ayako and says, “..is that so! Ya! With pretty girl Natsume by my side, I would feel at ease.” Ayako looks surprised by this then, she quickly hugs him. Then, Yuuzan enters and tells Micchan about next week’s Buddhist ceremony for his aunt [Micchan’s mother], in the end, his father has no way of going.. He stops talking when he sees Ayako hugging Micchan. Yuuzan points at Micchan and says that he pronounces Micchan guilty. Blushing and nervous Micchan tells Yuuzan to wait. Then, he turns to Ayako that it turns out that is what she meant. Speechless Sasayan looks at them. While walking home, Shizuku continues to wonder that something is wrong. Haru says that about Micchan, that guy is super slow-witted. “Before, he got dumped by his girlfriend and it took him exactly half a year, to realize it!” [<- Lol]. Omake: Before going home from, Haru got Shizuku to sit in the Nagoya snow figure he made the whole day.
Ayako’s past is really sad and the girl is truly traumatized. It is a really scary thing to be hated by all the girls in one’s school. It wasn’t mentioned though I think it would be really hard if there are more girls in her school than boys. ^^; Thanks to Shizuku’s bluntness, it seems that Ayako is going to move on and try to free herself from that past. ^^ As for Micchan..talk about slow..^^;; By the way, Chiduru will now be Chizuru, as corrected by kam. If you know the correct names of some other characters, feel free to tell me. ^^ I actually didn’t skip those names because they might re-appear later on. ^^; Scans by kiri for BW.

Ookami-heika no Hanayome [Chapter 21]
Tuesday, June 21, 2011
Then, Kouju arrives and says, “Suigetsu-ani, you came here today. Geez- you are taking the servant’s job again--..” Suigetsu tells his younger sister that he makes better tea than the servants. Kouju admits that is true. Yuulin watches the two and thinks that guy turns out to be Kouju’s older brother and the Han Family is really amazing because everyone are beautiful. Kouju introduces to Her Highness, her eldest brother, Han Suigetsu, who holds an office at the palace but currently is on a work leave. As she says is that so, Yuulin wonders about if it is because Suigetsu’s health isn’t good and isn’t she meddling into other people’s business too much. Suigetsu looks at Yuulin and asks if she is the ‘Princess, Her Highness’ of His Majesty. Yuulin looks surprised. She thinks that of course, Suigetsu would be shock since she suddenly came to visit. While Yuulin is mentally apologizing to Suigetsu for she just needs some time to calm down, Suigetsu asks if she is the one whom His Majesty would often say to the ministers as ‘I do not want to part with her even for a short period of time’. “She is that Princess?” Yuulin looks at him in surprise then blushes really red. Kouju happily says that is right, and also, Yuulin is the ‘there is no other one in my eyes except her’. Or perhaps, it is ‘It is such a loss that I wasn’t able to know her early on because she is such an existence I love dearly.’ Or this, ‘I do not want others to know, what makes me love her quite affectionately.’ etc. “Right now, there is no one who doesn’t know about THAT Princess whom His Majesty dotes on from head to toe.” Aghast and nervous Yuulin blushes redder than red. She wonders what that guy is saying everywhere, outside the palace. Trembling Yuulin thinks that even if it is for him to avoid people from getting too close but isn’t it too much to say those things like a matchmaker. “And even if it is an act, it’s getting more and more exaggerated. Then, there is also that biting incident of the ‘Wolf King’, geez.. I couldn’t believe it.. and, I have no way of keeping myself calm.. I couldn’t repress it..” Kouju looks at Yuulin and says that even if she doesn’t know what happened at the harem but Yuulin can leisurely pass time at her residence. Kouju smiles and tells Yuulin that occasionally, it is also needed to separate [from each other] to let the heart properly rest a bit. Yuulin is moved into tears by what Kouju said. She thinks that Kouju would help her even if she didn’t say anything. She also thinks that Kouju is also quite considerate even if she sensed that she and Reishou quarreled. Kouju tells Yuulin that she can stay as long as she wants. While Suigetsu looks at her, Yuulin hopes to quickly calm down so that she can go back to her work as the Princess.
At the palace, a man reports to Gikou that Her Highness went on a private visit to the residence of Han’s daughter. The man asks if it is possible that Her Highness wants to meddle with the issue about the Spring Banquet. Gikou comments that the Princess still likes to act on her own initiative. “—I really hope that she’ll consider her position a bit..” Elsewhere in the palace, Shisei smiles and addresses Reishou. Shisei says that he is extremely surprised that His Majesty would call him, His Majesty’s humble servant. “—His Majesty apparently has some worries. ..everyone said that today’s mood at the palace makes them frozen stiff. *Reishou looks at Shisei* Is it because of that thing regarding Her Highness? It is truly an honor that Her Highness and my daughter have a deep friendship-- And of course, Her Highness will be given the highest level of reception..” Reishou interrupts him by saying that the Princess didn’t went to Shisei’s main residence to see him but to his daughter’s private residence. “..there is someone who’ll report to me whatever treatment Her Highness receives which includes happy [/leisure] things as well as OTHER things. .. Pass these words to your daughter. ‘Properly consider being discrete in your words and actions, and be attentive in providing for Her Highness.’ What I want to tell you are only that.” Shisei bows and says, “As Your Majesty’s commanded.” Shisei thinks that he should first let His Majesty drop the topic [/do what Reishou wants] and since this is a rare opportunity, he fundamentally wants to use this to entice [/get involve] His Majesty. Back at Kouju’s residence, by the lake-side, Suigetsu is playing a flute for the two ladies. Yuulin says that it is such a beautiful sound. Kouju proudly tells Yuulin that her brother can play any music instrument really well, and he is the one who taught her to play the zither [guqin]. Blushing, Yuulin is really amazed for Suigetsu’s talent is not an ordinary one because the sound of his music seems to have come from the heaven. Yuulin mutters that it is very beautiful that she would also want His Majesty to hear it. She thinks that after hearing it, it might actually make Reishou’s tiredness disappear and Reishou had been feeling fatigue lately. Yuulin says that since he is currently on a work leave, then will Suigetsu go back to work in the near future. Yuulin quickly covers her mouth and wonders if she’ll make him unhappy again -> She remembers Jun telling her that workers should only do as ordered. Kouju giggles and says that will be a bit problematic. Yuulin asks why. Suigetsu sadly smiles and tells her that he really dreads His Majesty. “Just being look at by His Majesty, it would seem that my body has frozen. It’s as if His Majesty won’t allow anyone to escape--..” Yuulin thinks that is what everyone thought in their hearts about the ‘cold-hearted Wolf King’.
Suigetsu continues to say that His Majesty is such a scary and cold-hearted king, that aside from him, he [Suigetsu] has never met anyone else who is like that. Yuulin thinks that it is obviously an act but everyone really fears Reishou and she, obvious knows that man’s true nature. Suigetsu says that is why he won’t even get close to the palace, even for a little bit, to assume his official post. Just when Yuulin wonders if that is the reason why.., Suigetsu adds that he also honestly doesn’t want to go to work. Confused Yuulin sweatdrops and mutters if the problem is he wants to work or doesn’t he want to go to work. Suigetsu tells her that he doesn’t want to get up early in the morning. Yuulin says no, no, even if he looked at her with a pained expression, she also cannot do anything about it. Kouju laughs and says that her brother really makes others troubled. Yuulin still looks shock and wonders how she can explain it, he is such an incomprehensive person. “Nobles are really hard to understand..” In her room, Dai comes in and exclaims that it is such a nice house and as expected, the security is tight. Yuulin calls out his name and says that he really appears and disappears unpredictably. Dai asks her if she isn’t going home yet. Yuulin didn’t answer but she thinks that she wants to go home. Then, Dai says, “Even if I don’t know what happened, but it is only a bite so just forgive him.” Blushing really red, Yuulin exclaims that he obviously knows about it. Puzzled Dai asks if she has to be that angry, how troublesome. While waving away any thoughts about the bite, Yuulin shouts that she isn’t angry, she only needs to calm herself. Yuulin thinks that at that time, the drunk Reishou is really scary and even if she wants to run away, she couldn’t escape. “It seems that I am not myself.” Flustered Yuulin tells Dai that about this issue, she will quickly calm down and until then, she’ll go back. Yuulin thinks, “I obviously know what I should do but being in front of the Wolf King, I couldn’t control my heart.” Dai says that she is a peculiar and special exitence. Yuulin asks what he meant by that. Dai smiles and asks if it isn’t so, because it is so interesting that she has been really making Reishou feel troubled. As he laughs, Yuulin wonders why Dai said that.
Later on, back at the lakeside where Suigetsu is now playing a pipa [pear-shape kind of Chinese guitar], Yuulin praises him by saying that just by depending on his talent, he doesn’t need to worry about food and clothing [/basic needs]. Suigetsu says that to be praised by Her Highness is an immeasurable honor. Yuulin thinks that normally, if someone is to say ‘I do not want to work’, she will absolutely not forgive him but right now, this person’s situation is similar with hers – can’t work because [they are] afraid of the Wolf King. And, she also incomprehensively even took this step [of running away to Kouju’s place]. Yuulin is surprised when Suigetsu asks if she has calmed down a bit and did she quarrel with His Majesty = staying there not for leisure. Thinking that she has been exposed, Yuulin admits that is true. Suigetsu says that it’s really amazing that she quarreled with His Majesty and could it be that Her Highness isn’t afraid of the king. Yuulin tells him that even if she’s afraid, but the king isn’t the type of person who is being oppressive [/tyrant/bully] others without a reason. Apologetic Yuulin tells him that this time around, it is her fault and he shouldn’t also be that afraid of the king that he cannot go back to his post. Yuulin thinks, “Even if we quarreled, no matter where, ‘the Princess’ will always support His Majesty--” Suigetsu tells her that from the start when he heard that she is the ‘Princess’, there is no way for him to make a connection of her and His Majesty. He smiles and says, “..but, I think I understand a bit.. Her Highness likes him even if he is scary and cold-hearted.” Yuulin’s eyes widen in surprise. She thinks, “Wha!? Is he talking about that thing? No no no, right now isn’t the time to be unmoved, right!? As a ‘Princess’ in this situation, there is only one answer.” Blushing really red, Yuulin says, “—Yes. Really li..ke.. Li..” Suigetsu is puzzled when Yuulin wasn’t able to finish what she is saying because she cannot take it anymore that ‘her brain exploded’. ^^; She thinks, “Wai.wait.wait! I want to quickly calm down and return to the palace!”
At the palace, Reishou is sitting at his office when someone is calling out, “Your- Majes- ty” Reishou quickly turns around and throws a small knife at the direction of the voice. Dai stops moving as the knife flies past him and gets stuck on a wall. [<- that can kill someone ^^;] Reishou darkly tells him not to come near him in a quiet manner [/do not sneak behind him]. Dai nervously smiles and thinks that was really frightening and Reishou is really in a bad mood. While twirling the knife that Reishou threw with one hand, Dai reports that everything is quiet at that side and that pretty girl’s residence doesn’t seem to have much spy intelligence[/don't have anything special to report]. Dai tells him that the Han family should also not cause any trouble on their own family domain. Reishou tells him not to let his guard down. Reishou says that the effect of using the name of ‘The Wolf King’s Beloved [/Doted one]’ to shield Yuulin is quite good but it also attracts unnecessary attention. “In short, everything aside, Yuulin’s safety is the number one priority.” Dai says yes, yes, he’ll go back to guard her. Dai thinks that if Reishou didn't let Yuulin out of the palace then it isn't necessary to guard Yuulin secretly. Reishou asks, “By the way, how is Yuulin doing?” Dai says that she is doing fine and is still quite energetic whether she is angry or apologetic. Reishou gloomy says is that so. Dai thinks, “Hoho..there is a dejected [/listless; not energetic] guy here.” Reishou glumly asks Dai on how much time is needed for Yuulin to calm down. Dai says that regarding that, he also doesn’t know. A bit flustered, Reishou says that bluntly speaking, even if Yuulin still hates him, can Dai get Yuulin to come back quickly.. Narration: “And so, the king cranes his neck in anticipation of the Princess’ return, the Princess herself.. has actually fallen into a deeper perplexing problem.” Yuulin holds her head and remembers, ‘I like the Wolf King’. “As the Princes, that is only an act..an act..an act.. *thoughts of ‘bite’ and ‘like’ swirl around Yuulin’s head* Nnnnoooo! My brain won’t stop going over those things again and again--!!!”
Poor Yuulin. ^^; Instead of getting herself to calm down, it has gotten worse. Interestingly, even if she is totally clueless about her real feelings, a part of her is acting how someone who is in love with Reishou should act. =P It is obviously futile for her to calm down by forgetting about it. Sometimes, the more one resist such thoughts, the more it is stuck on the head. =P Hehe, actually, I think she is getting to it through Suigetsu’s music but when it is mentioned again, it is back to square one. ^^; I think the couple’s reactions are really cute. Yuulin tries to shoo away those thoughts and Reishou missing her. About Suigetsu’s physical appearance, he reminds me of a character in Saiunkoku Monogatari. Aside from his alibi of now wanting to go to work, I think he isn’t suitable to be an official because he is a musician. I wonder if Kouju’s other brothers are also not that interested in becoming an official at the court that is why Shisei is forced to do some other ‘informal’ ways to be influential with Reishou. It seems that Dai is the only one who is having fun about this situation. ^^; Scans by 狼陛下汉化組.

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu [Chapter 87]
Sunday, June 19, 2011
Kyouta notices that Tsubaki is looking really frustrated. He puts another note to her. “Congratulates on being a model.” Tsubaki goes, ‘ha’. So, Kyouta says, ‘Popular cute braid’. That is the title of the article that features Tsubaki and Hiro’s work. Tsubaki immediately stands up and exclaims if he saw that. The teacher angrily scolds her to be quiet. Tsubaki apologizes and sits down. She thinks that it is Sakura who showed it to Kyouta. Kyouta gives her another note. “By the way, are you fundamentally the type of person who can do that kind of thing? You’ve changed for a short period of time when we had not seen each other.” Thinking that it isn’t like that, Tsubaki quickly writes an answer back to him. “It isn’t like that!! I basically didn’t know that a picture will be taken [and put on the magazine] that until now, I’m still baffled by it!” The rest says that she is being used as a model by a hairstylist, then, a picture is taken etc. [Sorry, it is a bit small so it is hard to read/make sense of ^^;] Kyouta is surprised by how long her answer is. He holds up a paper which says, “Did you have fun taking the picture [because she is smiling]?” Tsubaki blushes and mutters, “That is..” She writes her answer. Flashback: Hiro, together with a photographer, scratched his head and told glum Tsubaki to smile a bit. Tsubaki told him that it is only going to be used as a reference so shouldn’t it be okay to just take a picture of the hairstyle. “And, it is also unnecessary to put on make-up like this.. and even change my clothes.. how short [this shirt is].” To her irritation, Hiro told her that she doesn’t know anything. “Facial expression, make-up, and clothes, are all parts of a whole. If these parts aren’t coordinated with the braided hairstyle, then even if the braid itself is well done, then it is a failed work. Speaking of that, look at these strange expressions, would anyone want to have their hair braided [upon seeing that]? You are currently ruining my work [of art/hairstyle].” Hiro shows Tsubaki of her earlier photographs. One is a forced airhead kind of smile while the other one, Tsubaki is frowning. Flustered, Tsubaki apologized and asked, “Will this do?” Tsubaki smiled in a forceful way that made her look creepy.
Hiro and the photographer were aghast. The photographer asked Hiro what to do for they can’t use that. Hiro agreed with him. Hiro smiled and asked Tsubaki that she has a cute bracelet and from the start, he has been curious about it. Bending down to Tsubaki, Hiro told her that camellia [/tsubaki in japanese] style Tiara Link really suits her. Tsubaki asked if it is true. She held it up and said that it is given to her as a birthday gift. While gesturing to the photographer to get ready/take pictures, Hiro asked if it is given to her by her boyfriend. Blushing Tsubaki says that is true. Hiro said that guy isn’t bad at all, and she ought to be going steady with that nice guy. This made Tsubaki blushed and smiled. While holding the bracelet, Tsubaki said yes, it is a guy who suits her yet he is a bit wasteful [for buying something very expensive. The other translation is he is the person whom she always admired.] End flashback. Note: “So, that is when I inadvertently thought of you that I’ve shown that expression. It is really embarrassing.. Please forget about it.. *That made Kyouta blush.* The bracelet always supported me. I’ve always been wearing the bracelet just like what you’ve told me (except when I’m taking a bath or dressing up). See, even right now..” Kyouta looks at her and sees Tsubaki pulling down her sleeve for him to see the bracelet. This made Kyouta flustered. To Tsubaki’s surprise, Kyouta suddenly put a note on her other arm that is on the table. This made Tsubaki blush and nervous over what he is doing. Then, she notices part of the note asking her if she had quickly found what she wanted to do. Kyouta notices Tsubaki’s frustrated expression which made him realize what the answer is. As the note flies to the ground, Kyouta holds her hand behind the table and tells her, “It’s alright. There’s no need to hurry. I’ll always wait for you.” Then, the class bell rings. Kyouta heads out of the classroom. Some girls ask if he is already leaving and won’t he sit in for the next [6th period] class. Kyouta turns to Tsubaki and smiles at her as if to say, ‘Gambatte’. This made Tsubaki blush and think, “Thank you, Tsubaki-kun.. I’ll definitely, absolutely do my best.”
Later on, determined-looking Tsubaki fixes her hair into a ponytail. When the class is dismissed, Miho starts looking for Tsubaki. She asks Haru if he has knows where she went. Haru says that Tsubaki quickly dashed out of the classroom when the bell rang. Miho laments over this because she wants to know what happened to her and Kyouta during 5th period class. Haru smiles and says that he thinks that it ought to be very good. Miho happily asks if he heard what they talked about. Haru says that even if he didn’t hear it, but it has been such a long time since he has seen Tsubaki looking very bright [/cheerful]. Running on the streets, Tsubaki thinks that from that day on, it is always on her mind – Hiro trimming, ironing and braiding her hair. “After seeing the skill of a hairstylist, it made me feel good and also really ashamed. But compared to that, I couldn’t suppress the thoughts of wanting to learn more about it. *she remembers Hiro telling her that she isn’t suitable for this work because she doesn’t have the perseverance to even convince her parents* Because of those words, I’m finally aware. ‘If for Tsubaki-kun, astronautics is something that can make him lose himself and be very passionate about’ then, the reason why I wasn’t able to find it, no matter how I’ve searched for it, is because I’ve already found one. What I must do is apparently, not to look for other paths.” At *parfait parlor, Hiro is blow-drying the hair of a customer when he notices Tsubaki coming in. Tsubaki exclaims, “I..want to become a hairstylist!! Are you still recruiting for a work staff!?” Tsubaki thinks, “And, in order to realize my biggest dream, I should have sufficient perseverance.” After Tsubaki bows and left, the store manager [whom I formerly thought to be the receptionist ^^;] complains to Hiro, who is waving goodbye to Tsubaki, that she already has enough workers and it is troublesome for her that he would add another one without her permission. Hiro says that she already hired Tsubaki and those other things, he’ll just trouble [/leave it] to her. Going back to the cashier, the owner says it is because Hiro asked her so she cannot refuse. It is the same as the last time. Holding the magazine page of Tsubaki, the manager says that this page’s model has obviously already been decided but Hiro suddenly insisted that it has to be this girl. “You have really taken a fancy on that girl.” Hiro laughs and apologizes. He tells her that he always felt concerned [/mindful of Tsubaki]. “Should I say [she’s] very interesting, perhaps I want her to stay at my..side.” Tsubaki happily walks away and touches her bracelet. Next chapter will be on July 5th. Volume 12 on June 24th.
So, the potential problem between Tsubaki and Kyouta have been diffused. I’m curious though how Kyouta will react if Tsubaki told him that she really enjoyed having her picture taken and he isn’t the reason for that smile. He did somewhat snub her at the start. He only decided to stay and ‘communicate’ with Tsubaki after seeing her flustered expression. Oh well, I guess it is a good thing the author didn’t prolong that misunderstanding. Anyway, it is nice that Kyouta had reassured Tsubaki about waiting for her..though it is only after he seemingly clarified that she still loves him through the bracelet. Hehe, maybe Kyouta ought to get that copy from Sakura. =P As for Hiro, will he be a love rival? I’m not too sure. He already knows that Tsubaki has a boyfriend but having a lover doesn’t stop the characters in this story from pursuing Kyouta. ^^;; Somehow, from how Tsubaki fixed her hair and what Hiro said at the last part, I’m thinking that after maybe Hiro’s interest with Tsubaki is something like a sister, perhaps? Well, it could also because Tsubaki really has an interest in his field like an apprentice or he is just infatuated with her hair =P I have to say that Hiro is quite good to make Tsubaki smile during the photo shoot. Whatever Hiro’s interest for Tsubaki is, it is good for Tsubaki for now. Since she has decided on this, I guess she will start convincing her parents soon. But, what about Kyouta? I’m sure he will be jealous since Hiro has an ‘interest’ with Tsubaki. By the way, the exchanging of notes is quite cute =P Hm..I had a sudden thought. While archiving before, I suddenly was reminded that Parfait Tic! is also about a girl who is into hairstyles. Then, this chapter mentions about the bracelet which also mentioned in PT! at the latter part so I suddenly thought..would it also happen here? Tsubaki’s bracelet might be lost later on? KKwH 87 Teaser
Sunday, June 19, 2011
This is a teaser while I'm working on the summary: Tsubaki goes on a guilt trip for messing up Kyouta's life that he has to be retained for a year. Kyouta cannot seem to look straight at her that it reinforces her guilt. Kyouta gets permission to sit in class. Tsubaki shows him her notes but he is snubbing her. In the end, they exchange notes. Tsubaki writes a note to him to apologize for making him retain a grade. Kyouta writes for her not to worry about it and his recovery has been smooth. Tsubaki is frustrated over how far Kyouta has gone through in getting well that he can even write using his right hand. Kyouta glances at her then writes a congratulates over becoming a model. Tsubaki exclaims in shock then writes a long explanation about it. Flashback: Tsubaki has trouble smiling for the picture but Hiro made her talk about her boyfriend so that is the outcome. End flashback. Kyouta seems happy with that and holds her wrist. He assures her that he will wait for her. After Kyouta left, Tsubaki has become more driven and fixes her hair. Her friend asks Haru where Tsubaki is. Haru says that she head out, looking quite uplifted. Tsubaki goes to see Hiro. She tells him that she wants to become a hair stylist and asked to be hired. After she left, it turns out that Hiro went out of his way to hire Tsubaki even if they have many staff already and he changed the original model for that magazine. He finds Tsubaki interesting and would want her to be by his side. Hehe..love rival?

[Free Talk: Hehehe.. I’m trying to do a short summary for the two chapters that were already summarized but it obviously didn’t turn out like what I’ve expected. ^^; If you read all of these chapters, I specially thank you. ^-^ Scans by kiri for BW. Edit: Chiduru will be Chizuru from now on. Thanks to kam for the correction. ^^]
Chapter 13: 0 and 1 Shizuku got a rude awakening. First, it is the noisy alarm clock. Next, she found Haru reading a book in her room. His reason is that exams are coming soon so Asako asked him to fetch her so that they’ll study together. While Shizuku is still sleepy and wondering about why it isn’t a big deal to intrude into someone else’s house, she got a shock upon learning that Haru did try to go to her house the normal way but he was shooed away by Shizuku’s father. Her father didn’t know that there is no school today and told Haru not to tell Shizuku that he is at home. Shizuku, together with Haru, immediately confronts her father who looked nervous while reading a newspaper. Shizuku learned that her father’s store had closed up [/bankrupt] around two weeks ago but he is too scared to tell them else, he would shock them. Shizuku is totally aghast that she didn’t notice it because for some years, everything has been going smoothly. After calming down a bit, Shizuku decides to call her mother to inform her about it. While Shizuku is calling her mother, Haru asked the father if he should leave since they are busy. He tells Haru that it doesn’t matter anymore even if a stupid guy like him is there. On the phone, Shizuku’s mother complains on how many years and months, does that guy plan on making her work. Shizuku apologizes to her mother but she told Shizuku that she doesn’t need to apologize and she’ll just think of a way about it. After hanging up the phone, Shizuku tells her father to ‘just die, you small man’, as a message from her mother. While her father is freaking out on how much Shizuku’s expression and tone is the same as his wife, Shizuku sighs and says that even if her mother said not to worry but is it really alright. Shizuku says that she’s going to change clothes to help her father tidy the store up. She apologizes to Haru and tells him to go on ahead for today. As Shizuku went to change clothes, Haru muses that Shizuku is amazing on how she handled it. Her father comments that it is because this is already the sixth time it happened. This made Haru say that he is such a useless father. Shizuku’s father admitted that it is true and it is probably because of their set-up, Shizuku and Takaya [Shizuku’s younger brother] are a bit lonely..Shizuku become cold-hearted and have no friends. He then says that ever since before, Shizuku is only into studying, and when they are watching some television show, the two siblings don’t react at all. To her father’s surprise, Haru tells him that Shizuku has friends. When Shizuku comes back to ask if her father is really ready, Haru remembers the time when Shizuku asked him if it is cruel to make the other person wait when the answer is already obvious.
At the game center, Sasayan tells Haru and Asako that he had a girlfriend before during junior high. Apparently, Haru doesn’t even remember that Sasayan studied in the same school as his. Asako changes the topic by asking Haru about his relationship with Shizuku. Haru tells her that Shizuku told him that she’ll think things over between them during the school festival. Asako is shock for it has already been a month and there has been no progress. She blames it on Haru who is too satisfied with the situation and he just passing the situation on Shizuku. And, given Shizuku’s nature, it won’t be long before things will end between the two. While Haru and Sasayan are talking about it being inevitable to go steady with someone one likes and at times, not knowing what to do, they were surprised to see that Shizuku has overheard them. Shizuku looks aghast for she has totally forgotten that she told those things to Haru before. Shizuku tells them that she only dropped by to bring something and she’ll be on her way. Blushing Shizuku looks at Haru and wonders if he had been waiting all these time. Walking together Shizuku, Haru asks if her father is okay. Shizuku says that her father asked a friend to help him out. Haru tells her that her father told him that because her mother is working, he had made Shizuku and her younger brother lonely. He asks if it is true. Shizuku says that is what her father always says and if he is really serious, he should just go find some formal job. Shizuku tells him that she wants to become like her mother who is independent and can earn money for herself. Shizuku then comments about her father suggested that they buy a goldfish for a huge jar at the backyard but in the end, it didn’t happen. She studied and prepared the things needed for it that she thinks if she didn’t anticipate it, she won’t be that disappointed. While Shizuku wonders if she was lonely at that time, Haru has an idea that he quickly grabs her hand and says that he’ll show her something good. Then, Shizuku wonders if at that time, she also thought of the same thing. To Shizuku’s aghast, Haru plans to catch some crayfish for her by the riverside. Shizuku exclaims that she doesn’t need it but Haru insists that the crayfish there are huge. Shizuku shouts that she doesn’t want to have a pet in a jar.
At the library, Yamaken had asked the librarian for the 5th time as to where he can find a certain book. It turns out that he is lost in the library ^^; but miraculously, he finally finds E-5 as well as Shizuku. After exchanging greetings and why they are there, to Yamaken’s delight, Shizuku tells him that she always wanted to see him. Yamaken is happy for he thinks that Shizuku is interested in him but to his dismay, Shizuku just wants to say that she is still number one even if his grades in English is higher at the mock exam. Yamaken angrily tells her that he isn’t into some superiority contest with her and someone like her who is really into studying, what’s the meaning to it. He apologizes and says that for him, he finds her really stupid. Then, he says that even if he doesn’t study like his life is depended on it, his life can still be considered a victory against others. Shizuku asks if that is his so called ‘interesting life’ and whether studying can become a good outcome or not, it depends on oneself. Yamaken asks if she is with Haru. Shizuku says that Haru is at the riverside, catching some fish or shrimp. Yamaken exclaims that it is too cold for it is November. Shizuku says that Haru said that he’ll catch a big crayfish and give it to her. While he comments that Haru’s wisdom/sense is stuck at the elementary age, Yamaken notices that there is a change in Shizuku’s expression. While Yamaken is wondering why he brought up that topic, Shizuku tells him about what he told her before at the school festival had made her realize to go affront at the other person and what he said had moved her. Yamaken looks surprise over this. At Master Donut, Sasayan called Haru about his and Shizuku’s whereabouts. Then, as he brings the food on his table with Asako, Sasayan tells her that Haru is by the riverside playing while Shizuku went to the library. Asako laments over Haru doing some strange thing again that is why Shizuku said before that, she is only someone who just happened to be at Haru’s side. Asako decides to forget about it and just cheer the two on. Suddenly, a couple of girls from a different school come in. Asako quickly hides her face in the menu that Sasayan asks what she is doing. The two girls ask if it is that girl and is the one with her, her boyfriend. While Sasayan wonders what’s up with those girls, Asako looks really nervous and tense as she apologizes to Sasayan for getting him implicated/involved because of her. Sasayan is puzzled as to what she is talking about. Asako gets really nervous when someone asks if it is pretty girl Natsume. It turns out to be Micchan who got to them first before those two other girls. Micchan says that it is quite rare to see them and what is she doing there. Asako looks mildly relieved. When Micchan turns to the two girls, they quickly leave. While Micchan is puzzled over what’s happening, Asako seems to look lovingly at Micchan as if he is her savior.
Soon, it is night. Shizuku rides on a bus while Yamaken bids her goodbye and says that he is going to ride a taxi. After the bus left, Yamaken bends over and telling himself that the other person is that girl so what the heck is he thinking. Flashback: While Yamaken writes something on the notebook for Shizuku, he told her that if she cannot let go, then just co-exist. Why does it have to be only 0 or 1, she isn’t a robot. He ended up blushing when she praised him over how the way he said it. He exclaimed that he is only saying this in good faith without any other intention. Puzzled Shizuku thanked him. End flashback. Yamaken stomps away while thinking that it is a good thing that the trio aren’t there else they would laugh at him for falling for a girl like that..liking Haru’s girl. Then, he notices that he is holding Shizuku’s pen. On the bus, Shizuku thinks that every time she gets in touch with people, she felt her own unhappiness. She remembered her mother telling everyone that she will be working in place of their useless father. Then, Shizuku would call her mother about the high scores she got on the test. Then, while Shizuku is walking and asking why her father is useless, her father suggest that they buy a goldfish that wasn’t bought before. But, Shizuku exclaimed that she doesn’t want it anymore. End flashback. She wonders why she thinks of things as 0 or 1, could it be because spending time on something unreliable is a waste of time. When, Shizuku passes by the park, Sasayan greets her that she’s back. Shizuku asks if they haven’t gone home yet. Sasayan says that he’s on the phone. Asako asks Haru who is by the riverside if he isn’t cold. Haru tells the others that Shitayanagi and others were there and he had lots of fun. Shizuku asks Haru if there are crayfish there. Climbing up the bridge’s fence, Haru happily tells her that there are but they are sleeping. Shizuku thought that Haru has forgotten his main goal until Haru tells her that he is really happy that it is so much fun and even if he didn’t find a crayfish, he will find something better so she shouldn’t worry. While she somewhat blush over this, Shizuku remembers that right now, her younger brother has been using that jar at the backyard. She thinks that it is a useless thing but how come she feels that there is some meaning to it when talking about it with Haru. In the end, she cannot bear saying such things to give Haru something to expect. Then, the taxi passes by, Yamaken notices Shizuku so he asks the driver to wait so that he can return her pen. While he approaches her, he notices the flustered and small smile of Shizuku while looking at Haru. Sasayan and Asako call out to the two that they are going home. Haru tells Shizuku that he’s going to get his bag by the river. Shizuku tells him to get it because she doesn’t plan on waiting for him. After Haru got his bag, Yamaken calls out to him and throws the pen which Haru catches. Haru asks why he has it. Yamaken says that he met Shizuku at the library. Haru looks thoughtful and asks Yamaken if he had fallen for Shizuku. To Haru’s surprise, Yamaken asks what if he does, does Haru got any objections. Then, Yamaken leaves. While walking home, Sasayan asks where Haru is, Asako is excited over upcoming vacation and Shizuku telling her to study.
Chapter 14: Christmas Soon, it will be Christmas and Shizuku got an invitation to a Christmas party in her bag courtesy of Ayako who wants to surprise her. Ayako’s spirits are quite high while Haru’s are quite tense and agitated. Shizuku wonders why would Haru always be around her all the time as if he is afraid of something. She also feels a bit afraid seeing him like that. At the fastfood chain, the trio is surprise to see Yamaken and the trio. Ayako is aghast that they want to join the Christmas party that she tries to say that they can’t go without an invitation. Shizuku then asks if Yamaken is joining. Just when Yamaken is saying no, Haru leans at Yamaken and says that Yamaken cannot come. Yamaken got irritated that he asked why. To everyone’s shock, Haru says out loud that a few days ago, Yamaken said that he has fallen for Shizuku. In a pinch, Yamaken casually says that he is just teasing Haru. The trio say is that so, and tell Haru not to shock them. While Shizuku is speechless, Haru seems to have believed Yamaken. As the others get Haru to order their food, Yamaken angrily crushes his cup since Haru is an idiot to say such a thing out loud and why he [Yamaken] is in this situation. He notices Shizuku looking at him. He pulls up his hair and with a sparkle, he asks what’s up. Shizuku bluntly asks him for the Christmas party fee if they want to join. As they pay up, Yamaken angrily thinks in disbelief that he has fallen for this kind of girl. Asako watches them silently. Mubo then calls out to her where the party will be held. Soon, at the game center, Santa Micchan looks at everyone, and asks why they are all there. Haru says that they are going to have a party there. As she greets him, Asako seems nervous and blushes which puzzles Micchan. The trio seems nervous about Micchan looking at them and they are quite scared of him. Asako asks them about this. They tell him about their fight before with Haru and the bookworm girl. Asako says that she heard about it. The trio tells her that afterwards, they were threatened by Micchan not to mess around with Haru and Shizuku since it wasn’t easy for that idiot to make friends and if they come again, he is going to break their legs. Tomio says that it was really scary as if Micchan can actually kill a person. Shizuku and Haru are talking with Micchan if it is okay to hold the party there. Micchan says it is okay. Asako blushes a bit while looking at Micchan. She blushes even more when he waves at her. Micchan is puzzled that he asks what’s up with Asako. Haru says that she has always been weird while Shizuku says that she is a bit different from herself lately. At school, Sasayan has just finished a phone call on what else is needed. He sees Chizuru and asks her if she is going to the party because Asako got worried that she isn’t answering her phone. Chizuru says that it is because she is at a meeting. He asks about the invitation which Asako said that she thought it was a prank but it turns out to be from Asako. She finds it a bit awkward since Shizuku is there and she’ll just make herself depressed so she declines by saying that it isn’t too convenient for her today. Sasayan says okay, then he’ll go ahead. But, Sasayan looks a bit thoughtful and urges to Chizuru to come for he heard that party is really fun. Chizuru looks at him in surprise.
What they came to see at the party are the trio causing a ruckus about Santa being a fairy and eating the cake that Asako prepared. Asako is wearing a mask and cape as if she’s going some sort of cosplay. Sasayan and Chizuru think that they are quite vulgar. As Micchan tells them to keep the noise down, Haru sees Chizuru that he stands up and greets her. Soon, the trio is making a fuss over Chizuru about a tall girl, their type, being there. Asako is relieved that Chizuru made it. While Asako is carrying the cake to safety, Yamaken asks if Chizuru is that girl during the school festival and what does Shizuku think of her, love rival? Shizuku coldly tells him that for Chizuru to like Haru, that is Chizuru’s business and it doesn’t concern her. While Yamaken wonders if Shizuku totally comprehend what she just said, Micchan asks Asako if she wants the cake cut. Asako quickly turns around and says that she’ll do it herself. Micchan tearfully tells Sasayan that it seems Asako is avoiding him and he feels lonely over that. He asks Sasayan what’s up with that. Sasayan is about to tell him but stops to think that based on Asako’s reaction, she ought to have fallen for Micchan. Even if he is also a guy, he thinks that Micchan is cool. To Micchan’s bewilderment, Sasayan exclaims that he is cunning enough and why does he [Sasayan] have this feeling of ‘having lost’. While Sasayan joins the others, Micchan is pleased that Haru joined this Christmas party and looking at Haru, he seemed like an ordinary high school student and this should be because Haru feels that he isn’t as good as Shizuku. While they are eating the cake, Chizuru learns that Haru graduated elementary from Kaimei School. Mabo says that he doesn’t remember him until Yamaken says that it is that ‘face full of blood incident’. While Mabo exclaims in disbelief, Sasayan mutters to Haru about also fighting during the elementary. Haru says that it is so, generally but not to worry anymore because Shizuku is by his side. He happily puts his arm around surprised Shizuku and pulls her to him. Yamaken and Chizuru look uneasy over that. Then, Chizuru asks about Shizuku going to cram school during winter break. Chizuru is in the ordinary class while Shizuku and Yamaken are in the special one. While Shizuku and Yamaken are talking about the cram school, Haru looks extremely nervous because Micchan told him that they don’t have money for cram school and he doesn’t need it. Then, Yamaken is furious at himself for becoming someone whom Shizuku would always debate about studies. Then, Shizuku thanks him again for telling his views to her before, that she decided to find an opportunity to properly talk with Haru. Yamaken asks why after such a long time, she decides to do it today. Shizuku asks if it is too fast. Yamaken tells her to wait some more time. Asako watches them as they talk about this. At the toilet, Asako waits for Yamaken and tells him not to disturb Shizuku and Haru for he is someone irrelevant to them. Yamaken answers back that she is also irrelevant. To Yamaken’s irritation, Asako shouts that even if he likes Shizuku it is useless because Haru is there. He angrily holds Asako’s head and tells her that they are like a group of elementary kids. Just when Chizuru comes out of the toilet, Yamaken asks Asako why she isn’t telling that to Chizuru who confessed to Haru. Flustered Asako shouts that Chizuru is self-knowing [conscious/hopeless?] so it doesn’t matter. Yamaken takes the opportunity to head out to the fire escape stairs when Asako had to apologize to Chizuru by saying that isn’t what she meant.
At the stairs, Yamaken thinks about what Asako just told him. Then, he sees Haru after making a phone call. After a pause, Yamaken says that it is nice because it seems that Haru is really happy at school for didn’t he always say about wanting to have friends. Yamaken asks Haru what he will do if he will agree to be Haru’s friend in exchange, Haru gives Shizuku to him. Haru looks at him and says that having Shizuku, he doesn’t need him. Yamaken is astonished that Haru answered sincerely when he [Yamaken] is just joking around. Haru tells Yamaken that Shizuku is his and he is the one who found her. Then, Yamaken asks what he will do if Shizuku said that he [Yamaken] is better than him. Haru’s eyes look blank and he reaches out to surprised Yamaken’s face. Haru’s trance breaks off when Shizuku, who had seen him, calls out to him. Shizuku asks what he is doing there. Haru asks if she is going home, he’ll walk her home. Before leaving, Haru warned Yamaken not to lay a hand on Shizuku. While walking home, Haru comments about Shizuku’s hair being thin and long like a spider’s thread. Then, they talk about the story of the spider’s thread by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa about the criminal being tested, the criminal being greedy, etc. [If you want to read the story, go here. While walking up the stairs, Haru asks if she really has to go to that cram school where Yamaken is. She is going to spend the vacation with Yamaken there and isn’t her grades good enough. Shizuku asks him if he is jealous. After looking surprised, Haru admits that he is. Flustered Shizuku thinks for a while on what to say and why he is jealous of Yamaken of all people. To Haru’s surprise, Shizuku holds his hand and says that there is something she wants to tell him before the cram school. Thinking that she must first convey her feelings, Shizuku says, “I like you, Haru! So, there is nothing to worry about. Do not be perplexed again! I.. let’s do our best together! Haru!” Haru smiles at her that made Shizuku smile, thinking that she had assured him but no..it turns out that he still wants her to not to go to that cram school. So Shizuku’s smile freeze that night and the next day, Haru keeps on harassing Shizuku not to go to that cram school for didn’t say she likes him. Shizuku snubs him. Haru shouts for Yamaken, who is walking beside Shizuku, to stay away from Shizuku. As Haru continues to ask if Shizuku is listening to him, Shizuku snaps that she angrily shouts at Haru that he’s too noisy and she will decide what she wants to do, he is not to hinder her studies. Yamaken smiles at aghast Haru and says that he can only go up to there for he cannot go in the building. In cram class, Shizuku is still furious while Yamaken is happy that luckily, Haru is an idiot.
While Shizuku is heading to the cram school, Haru shouts for her to immediately come home afterwards and not go elsewhere. Shizuku snubs him and wonders why it turned out this way. To Chizuru’s embarrassment, her friend Yuu-chan asks if that guy [Haru] is the one she likes. Yuu-chan laughs about it being very interesting. Chapter 15: Yamaguchi family’s Kenji. Yamaken thinks that he is pretty satisfied with himself. Growing up in a free and unrestraint environment, and his parents putting their hope on him, he doesn’t plan on wasting it as he lived in accordance to their expectation. He wonders if this is the consciousness of being gifted, and even if he isn’t gifted, who else in the world has the qualifications of being called gifted. And if he is out of the ordinary, how come he has to join in this depressing cram class. While Shizuku is furiously studying, Yamaken gloomily thinks that the more he steals a glance at her, the more he feels that she is just a bookworm. At Kaimei High, the trio are complaining about how boring it is and wanting to also fall in love. Mabo asks if Yamaken is going to cram school and planning on chasing after that bookworm. He comments that Yamaken seems to be interested in her during the Christmas party. Yamaken tells them not to lump him together with them. Then, Yamaken meets a guy at the hallway who tells Yamaken that an otome girl whom he is contact with had broke up[?] with him, and she would want to date Yamaken. Yamaken asks if it is joke and tells the guy to tell the girl if she thinks that he’s great, she should make the first move to invite him. The guy exclaims as to who Yamaken think he is. While Yamaken thinks that an otome girl ought to be cute, the guy tells him that he is going the wrong way. Yamaken turns around and walks to the direction the guy pointed. ^^; Yamaken thinks that before until now, he doesn’t spend time thinking of girls. Then, he gets out of the taxi to see Shizuku. He becomes gloomy as he remembers Mabo asking him about chasing after Shizuku. He wonders if Mabo is inciting him, and he honestly doesn’t allow [himself?] into this kind of thing. He thinks that Shizuku is even reviewing while walking that she didn’t even look at him in the eye. A man in a bicycle rides toward Shizuku that Yamaken pulls her to the side. Shizuku thanks him. Then, when Yamaken is looking at her, Haru appears behind and smacks Yamaken on the head. Haru reminds Yamaken to stay away from Shizuku. While the two guys are fighting over Yamaken touching Shizuku, Shizuku tells Haru that she told him not to secretly follow her. Haru claims that he just so happen to be in the vicinity. While the two quarrel, Yamaken thinks that Haru is like an idiot. Shizuku reprimands Haru that she already told him that during this time, he is not to influence her studies because, for her, studies is still the most important thing and this has not changed. While Haru is furious, Yamaken pretends to put his arm around Shizuku’s shoulder. This made Haru throw an empty soda can at him but he missed and it hit Shizuku’s head instead. ^^;; Shizuku glares at Haru and walks away, leaving Haru looking sad. Shizuku thinks that she has summoned her courage to confess to Haru in order for him not to misunderstand and she wanted to convey her feelings to him but she didn’t expect that answer about wanting her to quit cram school so it seems that it won’t do at all if she alone found the correct solution/answer.
In class, Yamaken complains that his head hurt where Haru hit him. To his irritation, Shizuku apologizes in place of Haru for the trouble he caused. Shizuku tells him that during this time, she is going to try to express her feelings to Haru and she really doesn’t know why Haru is jealous of Yamaken. Yamaken becomes gloomy over this when he told her to wait. Yamaken asks if they are barbarians [/reckless] because they are very alike. There are two kinds of people. One is intelligent while the other is stupid. The so-called stupid are like them who are shortsighted and does things that are idiotic. He belongs to the other side while they are on that side. Shizuku asks, what’s the difference between him and her. Yamaken says that if it is him, he won’t let her feel uneasy and perplexed. Then, he becomes gloomy and wonders if he just said something like he cherishes her. Shizuku wonders where Yamaken’s self-confidence is coming from. To his surprise, Shizuku touches his bump and says that it is swelling, they should put ice on it. Shizuku tells him to come with her for she feels a bit responsible for it. Yamaken tells her that there is no need so Shizuku just lets him be. Yamaken blushes and thinks that his heart is beating fast. Shizuku tells him that it would be better if he doesn’t get too close with Haru nor with her. Yamaken angrily complains about this because isn’t Haru jealous and they [S&H] are showing off how intimate they are to him. Shizuku says that it isn’t about showing off but because Yamaken is a very charming/attractive guy. Soon, class is over and some people are talking about the possibility of raining. In front of the building, Yamaken just stands there and wonders if Shizuku is sincere over what she just said. He is blushing really red and thinks that this is bad. He starts giggling like an idiot that Yuu-chan watches him and tells Chizuru that there is a guy who was standing there and laughing by himself. While Haru is sitting by himself at the park, he is surprised to see Yamaken passing by. Haru asks why he is there, did the class dismissed early and is he lost. The cram school is nearby. Yamaken exclaims not to care about him and what about Haru, sneakily following Shizuku around like a stalker. Haru says that he isn’t, he got careless and was lost in thought that he realize it is already dark. Yamaken wonders if he will alright because before, Haru looked like he is going to push him down. Haru offers to walk Yamaken to the bus station. Haru asks if he is afraid. Yamaken answers back not to belittle him. While Haru walks ahead of him, Yamaken remembers the time when they were kids, he would shout for Haru to quit following him since it is disgusting. Haru shouldn’t forget get carried away just because his score is a bit higher than his. It is because Haru is like that so everyone bullies him though he [Yamaken] is the only one who can do that to him. End flashback. Yamaken thinks that he remembered something strange. He tells Haru that he changed a lot. Haru asks, huh. Yamaken remembers the time when Shizuku confronted him and the others to seriously become Haru’s friends. Haru tells Yamaken that he didn’t change a bit and the one who changes is usually Shizuku. He always felt that one day Shizuku is going to abandon him so at times, he really want to chop off her hands and feet so that she cannot go anywhere. Yamaken tells him that his way of thinking is scary. Haru says that he is just saying it and it is impossible for him to do such a thing. So, he [below the well] would always raise up his head and look up to Shizuku [who is on top of the well]. At the station, after hailing a taxi, Yamaken bids Haru goodbye [and won’t say thanks]. Before Yamaken leaves, Haru tells him that there is no way he can give Shizuku to him but anything else is okay. Yamaken remembers Haru’s scary idea earlier then he kicks Haru’s shin. Yamaken tells him that Haru’s actions are senselessly restrictive [/too controlling]. Yamaken wonders if this is so-called jealousy. Yamaken tensely also wonders what’s cute about Shizuku and he might end up being killed by Haru. He dismiss that thought and thinks that Haru had thought of it a lot and he only stopped up to this point [in carrying it out?]
Soon, it starts to rain. Haru takes shelter at the bus stop. He sits on the bench and remembers the past when his brother is in junior high. They are both wet in the rain. Yuuzan told young Haru that it would have been better if only Haru isn’t around [/doesn’t exist] and he always thought that way. Haru pouted over that. End flashback. Haru opens his eyes to see Shizuku standing behind him with her umbrella. She asks him what he is doing there and could it be that he is always waiting for her. Haru breaks into a smile and says yes. Shizuku looks away and wonders why she felt happy over that. Facing her, Haru says that he thinks she is a hero for every time he wanted to see her, she will appear in front of him. Shizuku asks what he is saying when he is obviously waiting for her. Haru pulls her to him and hugs her tightly. He tells her that he really likes her. This made Shizuku blush and mutters in agreement. Shizuku is surprised when Haru asks why is it that he is always the only one who has to endure. Shizuku breaks away and asks if he is always enduring and enduring what. Haru says yes, he has been enduring as if his life depended on it like for example, he truly wants to go in the cram school and run amok. Shizuku warns him not to dare do that else she’ll sever their relationship. Looking away, Haru says, see. Then to Shizuku’s surprise, Haru asks why it hurts so much. He likes her and doesn’t want her to hate him but he hates it that she’s gradually going far away from him. Shizuku wonders what is with this situation and what is the best way to answer it. Shizuku thinks that she thought that their progress will definitely go smoothly for one only needs to convey one’s thoughts and pour out one’s feelings to the other. Putting his head down, Haru says that he wants to be at ease, wants to have confidence, and, Shizuku’s everything, he wants it all. Shizuku exclaims that is impossible. Shizuku looks surprised at Haru who is looking at her. Haru tells her that isn’t what he meant. Flustered Shizuku says that she knows. She wonders why they are disagreeable like this, is it because some things make them wander but she doesn’t know how to resume things, and she also doesn’t know what the correct answer and what its outcome. Meanwhile, flustered Asako is looking at the game center.
Chapter 16: Year’s End Approaches Micchan welcomes Asako in the game center and says that it has been a long time since he saw her. He asks what brought her there. Blushing Asako tells him that Sasayan called her. At the baseball practice hitting area, Sasayan, together with his friends, apologizes to Asako for making her come and return those stuff she borrowed. It is because his older brother suddenly said that he cannot lend it to someone else when he said yes earlier. Asako is nervous that there are a lot of guys there and it is only with Sasayan that she can naturally get along with. She is surprised when Shitayanagi is suddenly pushed in front. While Shitayanagi apologizes, the other guys say that he got something to say. Asako got irritated by their cheering for Shitayanagi that she tells Shitayanagi off that if he doesn’t have anything to say, she’s leaving. Shitayanagi is tense by that and the other guys say that Asako got angry. Sasayan chases after Asako to the stairs and tells her that Shitayanagi doesn’t have any ill intention about it. He asks if she will forgive them if he can get them to apologize. Asako tells him that she hates guys since it is okay for them to just look after their own happiness. Even if she ends up being pushed aside by the girls, she doesn’t want to make everyone worry. Sasayan tells her that he thinks that it is because she has no way of resolving it. Asako shouts back that he is like the others and he shouldn’t belittle the friendship among girls. She starts to tell him that the girls’ connection is perpendicular, if someone got into it, it makes others envious, and the world of girls is like everyone holding hands and wins the championship. Sasayan thinks that is quite troublesome. Asako says that Shitayanagi always laugh like an idiot. Sasayan defends his friend by saying that he didn’t do anything wrong. Asako looks surprised and says that he is right, she apologizes for saying too much. She tells him that her feelings have been jittery because Shizuku is always in cram school, Haru’s feelings/mood is very bad and she always couldn’t properly talk with Micchan. Sasayan suddenly blurts out if that is because she likes Micchan. Sasayan quickly covers his mouth for not being careful about that. Asako is blushing really red that she exclaims what he is talking about. Sasayan asks if it isn’t so because before she can talk with Micchan in a normal and relaxed manner, but now, she has no way of doing that so isn’t that like being in love but then, he isn’t too sure because he hasn’t encountered this kind of thing. Asako tensely exclaims that it isn’t so and how could she like a guy. Sasayan asks why, and isn’t this a good thing, so what’s strange about it. While flustered Asako keeps on denying it, they were interrupted by a smiling Haru who asks them what they are doing there. The couple look at Haru and ask why he is such in a good mood, did something good happen, was he stalking Shizuku again today.
Flashback: Tense Shizuku called Haru’s name then blurts out that they go on a picnic. This surprised Haru. Shizuku told him that next year, after New Year, they’ll go on a spring excursion. He wasn’t able to go before because he didn’t go to school. Sparkling Haru is getting excited over this. Shizuku said that they can go anywhere, like wherever he wants to go. Haru blushed and looked away while muttering that he can go to that. Shizuku exclaimed that it is an agreement and until then, she’ll make a bento box but she would hope that he would behave during this time she has to go to cram school. Haru laughed over this and promised. End flashback. Asako and Sasayan think that Haru has been ‘tamed’. Asako asks if this is okay and does he feel that it is alright. Asako ends up agreeing to it because Haru also invited her to the picnic. Sasayan wonders if this idea is really good wherein she’ll put aside the thorny problem and make Haru promise this issue first. At school, Shizuku thinks that she didn’t think that painful proposal would unexpectedly have a huge result. Preparing to leave, Shizuku greets the others a Happy New Year. Haru happily tells her to ‘gambatte’. Asako just looks aghast. As Shizuku happily leaves, Asako asks if this is okay, Shizuku told him ‘Happy New Year’ so that means he won’t see her until the end of the year. Haru sadly tells her that it is fine with him because he and Shizuku made a promise, that deal for next year. Asako thinks that she really doesn’t understand Haru for how could he blindly believe people and how could he simply agree. Ayako decides to drop the topic, and because Haru has only eyes for Shizuku all these time, she can be at ease being with him. Holding a flyer, Asako happily tells Haru that after school, they are going to eat here. They eat some taiyaki [fish-shaped cake with red bean paste inside] and plan to eat some osiruko [red bean soup with rice cake] next time. Asako suddenly blushes when Haru says that Micchan is concerned about her because lately, he hasn’t seen her and speaking of that, she hasn’t been at the store for a long time either. Flustered Asako mutters that there is no special reason for that. She thinks that it is because of what Sasayan said that she felt it is quite awkward. Asako exclaims in surprise when Haru gets too close to her. [Sniffing?] Haru says that it is because he told Micchan that he guessed that it is because the toilet of Micchan’s house stinks of milk so Asako definitely won’t come. Asako sweatdrops and exclaims that it isn’t so, the toilet is nice and comfortable. Asako sighs and hopes Haru won’t conveniently say some strange reason on her behalf. Asako says that it is nothing and it just so happen that she is busy. Haru believes her. Soon, the two wave goodbye at each other. Asako watches Haru as he walks away. She thinks ‘next time’ would be ‘next year’.
Soon, days pass. 22, 23 Sasayan and others playing baseball, 24 Shizuku and Yamaken at cram class, 28 Haru is reading a book 29, 30 Chizuru and Yuu-chan are walking together. Soon, it is December 31 and the time is 16:15. Asako is in front of her computer chatting with her friends. They talk about a trip and playing snow and going to Hatsumode [first shrine visit] tomorrow. Asako looks at her cellphone and thinks that it is too quiet. Suddenly, her phone rings. It is Shizuku. Shizuku apologizes for calling her so near the end of the year and does she know how to set up a DVD’s schedule recording because her younger brother had asked her to record a year end’s program and she couldn’t find the instruction book. Blushing Asako is already speechlessly in tears that Shizuku asks if she is listening. Asako exclaims okay and what is the brand is her DVD’s brand. Shizuku says that it is Panasonic. After some discussion, Shizuku thanks her and she’ll try it out. Asako suddenly calls her out that Shizuku asks what it is. Asako starts crying that she’s so lonely. Soon, at her house, Shizuku looks dark and asks why even Haru is there. Haru tells Shizuku that Asako called and told him to come. He asks about Shizuku’s father and younger brother. Shizuku tells him that they went to her [paternal] grandmother. Asako happily starts recording ‘The Mysterious Phenomena 24 hours’. Asako exclaims that this is great because she has been really lonely that every time a friend would log in the chatroom, she would write that ‘everyday is fun’ that she starts to feel desolated. Shizuku asks why she is doing that. Asako tells her to please not ask that with such a serious expression. Shizuku asks if she plans on staying there for the night. Asako sheepishly laughs and says that she made this decision by herself so Shizuku shouldn’t mind it too much. She gives Shizuku a gift, which her mother made her bring. Shizuku thinks that she thought Asako is a ‘yes-man’ that she didn’t think her face to be so thick but then, forget it since Asako did help her with the recording. While they talk about how they spend Christmas, Shizuku asks them if it is okay that she cooks whatever she pleases since she didn’t prepare anything. The two who are at the living room tells her that it is okay. Asako happily puts her head on top of the kotatsu [table with heater underneath] and says that this is amazing, this kind of happiness. Haru looks at her and tells her that if she is lonely, she doesn’t have to bear with it silently because at any time, she can go to the store. Asako looks at a distant. Haru goes to the kitchen and asks if Shizuku is making a hot pot. She tells him to put the pot on the table. Then, since he is still minds, Haru asks Shizuku if she meets up with Yamaken aside from the cram school. Shizuku goes, ‘huh?’ Asako looks at the two and wonders if she can still be like this with those two if they really went steady. As she wipes the table, and Haru brings out the pot and condiments, Asako apologizes to Haru. Haru is just puzzled. Asako thinks that to protect her little world, she always has been doing her utmost best. Soon, they are thrilled over Shizuku’s hot pot that she even cut the carrots into flower shapes.
Soon, the hot pot is eaten clean. The cellphone is ringing and it wakes up the two girls who carelessly have fallen asleep. Asako answers her phone and it is Sasayan who greets her a Happy New Year. Shizuku quickly wakes Haru up and tells him to go home since it is already 1am. Sasayan asks if she is with Shizuku and others so how about they go for a hatsumode, where there are a lot of people. Asako is thrilled to hear that. At the shrine, Haru exclaims that there are so many people there. Asako exclaims that since they are there, they should all watch the year’s first dawn. Shizuku asks if it is alright for them to be out in the middle of the night. Asako assures her that it is okay for this is a Japanese tradition. Then, she is surprised that they cannot find Sasayan. Haru cannot contact them since there is no signal. They just hope to bump into each other later on. At some side, Yamaken and trio are starting a quarrel with some guys. Yamaken tells two guys to disappear because he is in a bad mood. The two guys got angry over it. Tomio whispers to Yamaken about saying that, when Yamaken obviously is weak at fighting. Yamaken continues to agitate the other two while muttering back that he just hates the feeling of pain. When Mabo is about to charge, Haru suddenly kicks him down and tells him not to fight. The other person tells Haru to scram for he is an outsider. This made Haru angry that Tomio starts to incite Haru to fight with those two. Yamaken quickly looks around because if Haru is there, then.. Shizuku sees him and greets him a Happy New Year. She tells him that Haru suddenly flew off there and it turns out that Yamaken and trio are picking a fight. When Shizuku is asking him why he is there with her when his buddies are quarreling, the vendor gives Shizuku a grilled squid. When Shizuku is about to pay the vendor, Yamaken pays for both of them. Shizuku tries to give him the money but Yamaken refuses and says that anyway, he also plans to eat. Shizuku still puts the money on his hand and tells him that just now, he just cut the line. Asako quickly goes to Shizuku and tells her that Haru is starting to fight with some people. Shizuku asks if there are a lot of people at the toilet. Asako exclaims that it isn’t the time for that and just help in stopping Haru. As Shizuku goes her way, Asako looks at Yamaken then teases him that if this continues on, Shizuku will not know his feelings throughout his life. Yamaken angrily squeezes Asako’s head for being annoying. After letting her go, Asako scolds him as an idiot. Yamaken angrily thinks that there is no way he’ll act like Haru like telling Shizuku that he likes her that is why he wants to treat her and how about they stroll around together. He suddenly remembers Shizuku’s warning that one day, his high pride is going to kill/ruin him. He looks at Shizuku, together with Asako, stopping Haru from fighting. After everything is okay, the trio sees Chizuru with Yuu-chan. They greet each other a Happy New Year and Shizuku wonders why people whom Haru knows are appearing one after another. After introducing Yuu-chan who is in some glaring contest with Haru, Chizuru asks if they want to have their love fortunes [/omikuji using sticks then take a paper in correspondence to what’s on the stick] told for she heard that it is quite accurate in this shrine. While Shizuku and Asako seem to want to try it out, Yuu-chan says that even if they do that, it is meaningless. Chizuru looks flustered and nervous. The three girls are nervous because they got ‘curse’ = bad luck. Chizuru: curse-> necessary endure. Shizuku: curse-> continuous disturbance. Asako: curse-> will have a disaster. Haru: great blessing -> be cautious in word and deed. Yuu-chan just smiles because she didn’t participate in it.
At the place where they tie the bad fortunes with hopes that it won’t come true, Chizuru tells Natsume to tie hers at her side on the top where there is space. Then, Asako seems to look surprised when she sees Haru, together with Yuu-chan, helping Shizuku tie her fortune. Then, Chizuru asks Asako again if it is okay to tie it there. Asako looks flustered and embarrassed for she wants to cheer Chizuru on but she couldn’t do it. Looking down, Asako asks Chizuru if other guys except Haru won’t do for her. She apologizes and says that she only thinks that if Chizuru likes some other guy who isn’t Haru, she will be happier. Then, Chizuru won’t have that sad expression. Chizuru looks at Asako then nervously laughs that she understands what Asako is saying but even if it is like what it is right now, it is still Haru’s face that appears in her mind. Then, Asako suddenly remembers smiling Micchan. Chizuru apologizes to Asako for she also doesn’t know what to do with herself. Asako tells her that she didn’t do anything wrong. Thinking that Asako likes Sasayan, Chizuru asks Asako if she likes someone. Remembering what Sasayan asked her as to why it [being in love] is weird and isn’t it good, Asako tells her that she doesn’t have anyone she likes. Soon, at the game center, they finally meet up with Sasayan who is with Micchan and Shitayanagi + others. They greet each other a Happy New Year. Asako looks really nervous and couldn’t look straight at Micchan that they wondered what’s up with her expression. Micchan says that he heard that they are going to lend his house’s top floor [roof] and it is huge. They apologize for the trouble. Haru asks Micchan if the key is that round one. Micchan says that it is and he better not jump from that place. Haru assures him that he won’t do that. Then, on the roof, Haru shows Nagoya to the others. While they are all fussing about, Micchan is freezing and thinks that youngsters are quite lively. Shitayanagi meets eye to eye with Asako but she quickly turns away from him. Shitayanagi tearfully wonders why Asako loathes him. Sasayan just cheers him up. While sitting by the side [I think away from the others], Micchan says that it seems that Asako’s mood is very bad. He tells her that the way she is, can hurt people’s heart and at this age, a guy’s heart is fragile. Asako asks if he has seen that. Micchan tells her that it is New Year and he is really very happy that Haru brought along his friends to play [/hang around]. He is also very happy to see pretty girl Asako and Shizuku so why don’t she be a bit nice. Asako tells him that she only doesn’t know what to do [in that situation] that her attitude turned out bad. Hoping that she can chat with Micchan like before, Asako shouts that she hates guys especially the guys who chase after her, she hates them. Micchan comments that she would actually say that. She, an upright [pretty] youngster would unexpectedly hate guys, that is quite too much for someone like him who really likes girls. Asako asks him if he also likes to talk about love. With a tear, Micchan laughs and tells her to let him clear off his debt first before talking about love. He comments that love, this plaything, is such an amazing thing for whether it is good or bad, a person changes as a consequence of it. It is a good opportunity to change oneself. As he and Asako look at Shizuku and Haru talking, Micchan says that love can make a person mature a lot. With somewhat blank looking eyes, Asako says that only having Shizuku, Haru and the people she love beside her, she doesn’t need other people. Then, she will establish a small Mizu-chan kingdom. Micchan exclaims, no, no, no! Asako says that no one will hurt each other, throughout their lives, they will be happy, a forever kingdom. Somewhat smiling, Micchan tells her that there is no such thing in this world and she ought to know about it. Micchan is surprised when Asako asks, then, if she is with him from then on, would she also become very mature. Asako looks flustered then leaves. Micchan is still stunned as the ash from his cigarette falls. From the side of the building, Sasayan looks up-sideways after hearing what they just talked about. Then, Haru and Shizuku are screaming over not being able to see the first dawn. [Probably because a building is covering it ^^;] Sasayan tells puzzled Shitayanagi that it is bad, the enemy has been alerted unintentionally. [<- hit the grass to scare the snake idiom].
Special: After the New Year Bell Rang Sasayan and others are at the shrine. They ask how many times the New Year’s Eve bell had already rung. Someone says that maybe it is 80 times this times now. [In Japan, it traditionally rings 108 times before New Year. Source: wiki] Shitayanagi asks Sasayan who is eating some noodles to help him apologize to Asako regarding what happened that time, because she is angry. Sasayan tries to assure him that she isn’t angry [about him personally]. A friend asks Shitayanagi what he likes about Asako, is it her looks. He tells them no, he doesn’t know how to explain it but he does find her cute. Then, the trio, together with Yamaken, exclaims if it isn’t Sasayan. Sasayan says that they also came. Shitayanagi and friends say that those are the scary guys who came during the school festival and in a way, they occasionally find Sasayan to be amazing [to get along with those people]. Then, Sasayan notices that Yamaken is looking at him. After a pause, Yamaken asks if they aren’t all together today. Sasayan smiles and asks who are the ‘they’, he is referring to. Yamaken turns around and says that they are leaving. [<- why Yamaken is a bad mood.] The trio bids Sasayan goodbye. Sasayan takes out his cellphone and calls but unfortunately, no one is answering. His friends calls out to him that it is already the countdown. Sasayan decides to call later on. At Shizuku’s house, Asako sneezes and wakes up. She says that she got careless and fell asleep after eating when she should have tidy the things up. She looks at the two then takes out her cellphone. She takes a picture of Shizuku and Haru sleeping together. While thinking that she should tidy the things up so that Shizuku would be pleasantly surprised about it, Asako falls back to sleep. And, at the shrine, everyone, including Chizuru and Yuu-chan, shouts, “Happy New Year!!”
It does make me think that Sasayan is the seemingly ‘normal one’ among the group but then, maybe he isn’t really because he can get along with almost anyone unlike his friends or the other main cast. It turns out that he is also quite observant that he manages to guess Asako’s feelings for Micchan. When he told it to Asako, I guess it hastened Asako’s consciousness why she feels and acts like that toward Micchan. Not sure if that is good or bad since Asako obviously has a bad trauma with guys especially those who court her. Shizuku does have to be creative with how she can get Haru to stay put but of course, I think Haru is unintentionally making her have other recreation/things to do which makes high school life fun with memories rather than only studies. From that flashback, I guess Yuuzan had hurt Haru deeply and since Asako mentioned that Haru easily believes people, I think he really took it to heart. Since he doesn’t have friends and his brother also claims to ‘not want him around’, I guess that brought about Haru’s frustrations and later on, violence? It could be a reason why Haru runs away from his brother like a plague. As for Yamaken, I have a feeling that he is just some sort of ‘joke’ who like how Asako teased, will never be able to get Shizuku to know of his feelings. Actually, it seems like that because he really has an awful sense of direction. Getting lost in school or even a library? ^^;; Reminds me of someone in Ranma 1/2. It’s amusing that he thought of himself as someone gifted..I guess part of the reason why he bullies Haru before is because Haru in a way got the ‘gifted’ part. And later on, just like Cinderella, Haru will get the ‘prince’. =P

Skip Beat! [Chapter 176] Teaser
Friday, June 17, 2011
For those who are asking about the next chapter of Skip Beat!, chapter 176, it will be out around June 20th. That will be next week or earlier. If we are lucky, English scanlations will be out by then, too. It has been a long wait and hopefully, the next chapter is good. ^^ Oh ya, it seems they are also giving away Ren posters.
Edit: Teaser is out in baidu. Thanks, Anónimo. ^^ Based on kp25467’s Chinese translation, it is generally like this: Murasame said that whether it is foreign movie or TV drama, one/he has never heard of this name Cain so basically, Cain is just some second rate small-time actor. This made Setsuka unhappy that she ‘k’ [hit?] Murasame with the plastic bottle and says that her brother is not some second rate actor. This had startled Murasame that he says that it is a bit similar but if one is to compare, it is like they are lovers. After hearing this, Setsuka blushes. Then, Murasame continues to chase after Setsuka since he wants to investigate more about Cain’s strengths. Then, just in time, they met Cain who is looking for Setsuka. Cain talks with Murasame in Japanese. Cain calls him a scoundrel and if he dares go near Setsuka as he pleases, he [Cain] is going to kill him. Then, he goes backstage together with Setsuka. Murasame became really displeased after knowing that Cain understands Japanese. Then, he notices the director quietly looking at Cain. There is a flashback of the director and Ren talking about some matters from today on at the hotel about trusting Kyouko. The scene changes to sibling’s lunch time. Setsuka asks her brother in English if it is okay for him to speak in Japanese. Cain says that originally, there is no set-up about Cain not being able to speak Japanese. Then, Setsuka asks if her English is okay. Cain says that it is okay but it is too formal as if she is in some high class hotel. Then, the two are silent. Cain asks where she learned it and Kyouko goes 囧 –ugh. Just when Setsuka is thinking of some excuse regarding that ugh past, Murasame came to provoke Cain. Cain didn’t consider him important/didn’t mind him. Murasame tells him that it is very important for actors to have some understanding and feeling between them so they should properly get along. Cain asks what if he doesn’t want to. Murasame tells him that he’s going to use his strength for Cain to do as he is told. Cain smiles and says that is interesting, come and give it a try. Then, he stands up from the chair. According to kp25467, from ch2, the cover page is Ren making a fist action in front of his chest as if to punch someone. Then, there is a colored part/page of Ren hugging Kyouko from behind to kiss her neck. The words say: The more I repress my emotions, the more the thoughts of longing for you, are high. I want to touch you. I want to kiss you.” If that covers are true, I guess that is how the author is making it up for making us wait for such a long time =P As always, wait for the scanlations for corrections and details ^^
PS. Pitas is okay now again. Sorry for the inconvenience. I got the bad luck again of updating while they are 'down'. ^^; English scanlation is already out. Check it out at mangastream.
Ookami-heika no Hanayome [Side Stories]
Tuesday, June 14, 2011
[Free talk: I’ve finally made an extra archive with tags in tatsukida.blogspot.com.. Hopefully, that will help you find past summaries that aren’t scanlated yet as of June 13, 2011. To put it up fast and for it not to be too much of a hassle for me, I opted to remove pictures and comments. About the summaries, they might come out slowly since the ones that have to be done are bit difficult/long. Chinese scans upload seemed to have been slow this month. About OnH, I’ve opted to wait for 17kkmh’s scans until next week because I find those scans easier to understand. If it isn’t out by next week, I’ll just use the other scans. Meanwhile, these are side stories from volume 4. One is Gaku’s while the other is Seishin. This happened after Yuulin’s vacation trip back to her hometown.]
Side Story 2: Seishin Narration: “This is Hakuyou country where the cold-hearted Wolf king governs. My name is Tei Seishin, living at the village in the royal capital of Kanrou.” Holding a paper, Seishin looks up to the birds on the trees and thinks that it is quite peaceful that it seems that uproar before is not real. “—that’s right, things became troublesome when nee-san Yuulin came home for a vacation from work.” Flashback: Yuulin told Reishou not to say anything strange to her younger brother. Reishou said okay. At home, Yuulin nervously introduced Reishou to Seishin as ONLY her BOSS at work, Reishou-sama. Reishou smiled and greeted Seishin. Seishin politely thanks him for taking care of his sister. Then, he thinks that for his sister to emphasis on ‘only’ and ‘boss’, it makes one feel suspicious. Narration: “—until now, my sister, who doesn’t care about love and would only just think of work and family, would suddenly bring along a male visitor. This is pretty shocking.. What’s going on here..” Yuulin told her brother that Reishou wants to go sightseeing around the place so he is going to stay over at their place so can a room be arranged for him. Seishin thought for a while and said okay..hm..what to do. To the siblings’ shock, Reishou said, “If it is inconvenient, can I stay together with Yuulin?” Nervous Yuulin grabbed Reishou’s cape and muttered, “Reishou-san!!? Please look at the mood.” Reishou laughed and said that of course, it is only a joke. Yuulin sarcastically laughed and told him not to joke about such things. Yuulin suddenly looked at Seishin who quickly turned away. Freaking out Yuulin shouted that it isn’t true. Nervous Seishin said that it is alright for he didn’t hear a thing. Aghast Yuulin kept on saying that it isn’t true. Later on, while reading a book, Seishin thought that even if Yuulin said that it isn’t a lovers’ relationship but still, she seems to be keeping something a secret about Reishou. Seishin felt a bit lonely for Yuulin had also started thinking of her own happiness.
The next day, Seishin is a tour guide for Reishou since Yuulin went to chat with her friend. Reishou asked about going through a narrow alley. Seishin tells him not to go there for that heads toward the slum area where there are a lot of vagabonds. He learned this from Gaku who warned him to pay attention on that place. Seishin thought that Reishou is a weird person because he should be sightseeing yet he chose to go to some dark alley. Reishou muses out loud that it seems to be a dangerous place but what about the soldiers that were put up and distributed throughout the region. Seishin said that there must be some reason as to why they don’t bother with that place. Wolf mode Reishou thought out loud that if the soldiers aren’t bribed, they won’t move. Seishin looked scared of Reishou as he agreed with him. Puppy mode Reishou mutters that no matter where, they [/people] think of the same thing [wanting bribe]. Seishin wondered what kind of person Reishou is, he should be the court ladies’ boss or an ordinary civil servant. To Seishin’s shock, Reishou happily headed into the alley and said, forget it, they should go. Seishin exclaimed that in the end, Reishou still chose to go there. Reishou told him that it isn’t easy [/have an opportunity] to go there. Then, to Seishin’s aghast, Reishou quarreled with someone at the alley who asked what’s up with Reishou, then he quarreled at the restaurant where Reishou told the man that he tripped by himself, he quarreled with Gaku and he provoked Yuulin to anger about her strange facial expression. Seishin thought, “..nee-san, what the heck is this guy thinking!? Why is he specially stirring up trouble!? Will this person become my future older brother..!!?” Chibi Yuulin angrily shouted that she already told him that it isn’t that.
That night, Seishin thought that it won’t do at all, he couldn’t study. He exclaimed in surprised when Reishou came in and said that he is still studying at this time. Seishin apologized for the noise. Reishou said that it is okay. Reishou also said that he remembered that Seishin is quite knowledgeable so could it be that his dream is to become an officer. Seishin exclaimed that is true and he is going to try to pass the recruitment civil exam qualifications. “Even if a majority of those who go for it are from the nobility, and it is quite hard for ordinary people but I think that there is a need to have someone who have a viewpoint from the masses to look into the problems and participate in the politics from within. And— I want to properly reciprocate my hardworking sister.” Reishou looked at him and Seishin becomes puzzled. Reishou smiled and said that it is nothing, no wonder Yuulin loves him [Seishin] dearly. He told Seishin that is true, if one is to use one’s commoner status to attain the qualification is quite hard but if he has connections, then it will be different. Reishou smiled and asked, “Tei Seishin, do you need a patron?” Seishin nervously told surprised Reishou that he doesn’t need one because if he doesn’t use his own strength to attain it, his sister is going to reprimand him. Reishou laughed and exclaimed that is right for the current king is into the doctrine of [doing things with one’s own] strength wherein it doesn’t matter if one has a relative strength [back-up] but from the circumstances, being an aristocrat [/from nobility] has an advantage. Reishou patted Seishin’s head and said, “Do your best. I’ll be cheering for you.” Seishin looked at him in surprised and said, “Yes..”
Narration: “On the second day, he [Reishou] quarreled again with Ki Gaku, then just like a strong wind, the two returned back to the palace.” Scene 1: Gaku told Reishou to go back alone. Yuulin exclaimed what he is saying. Reishou is laughing. Narration: “And, until the end, nee-san would keep on denying it.” Scene 2: Flustered Yuulin told Seishin that no matter what, it isn’t like that between them. End flashback. Seishin thinks that it is quite peaceful now. While preparing to write, he thinks that even if Reishou is a strange guy but he isn’t a bad person and what’s important is, his sister’s happiness. “That’s right..that occasional noisy ambience, is also..” Seishin stops that thought and imagines his sister running amok and that freedom (independent) brother, are making a lot of noise. Seishin thinks that it really makes one a bit perplexed over it. Narration: “Then, from that time on, the soldiers patrolling the area had been strengthen. So, that young man had a bit of peace even if he doesn’t know what the reason for it.” At the palace, while drinking tea, Reishou comments that Seishin is really cute. Flustered Yuulin exclaims that isn’t it so, and that’s right. A note says that Yuulin has a super brother complex with Seishin. End.
I kind of miss Gaku. The guy is really pretty fun and I think just like how Gaku and Yuulin seemingly deny that they ‘care’ about each other, it seems like what Yuulin is doing with Reishou. ^^; Hopefully, the author can get him in the story again. I guess Reishou cannot really compete with a childhood friend even if they are always quarreling like cat and dog. =P And, Yuulin is clueless that is the reason why Reishou feels depressed. ^^; As for the other story, Seishin is really such a nice kid. It’s amusing that he already thought of Reishou as a ‘brother’ even if Yuulin kept on denying it =P It goes to show that Seishin is really brought up well based on how he answered Reishou. I guess in time, he will join his sister at the palace. Scans by ベーリ猫 for 狼陛下汉化组

Free Talk: Working on a Better Archive
Monday, June 13, 2011
I’m currently working on a summary archive on blogger. If you want to check it out, it is here. Hehe, so that it would be easy to search on past summaries. Finally?! ^^; I hope to finish it today because I’ll just put up the summaries that are not scanlated yet. I’m already at 2008. ^^;;
After the door closes, Tadashi tells his younger sister that this is very good for she finally got the reward of traveling to a far place to Tokyo [for Yuki]. Tadashi says that he is happy for her. Blushing Chitose happily hugs her brother and thanks him. Laughing Tadashi pats her head and says, ‘okay, okay’. Then, Tadashi asks Chitose about what is the deal about Shun and the other mutually liking each other. Can it be used as material for his novel? Chitose begs off and says that she’ll tell him next time because it is a long complex story. Tadashi pouts over this. Chitose wonders how things between those two other people are. “Did they also have a date today? Ah, speaking of that, I’ve always brought a bento box for Akaishi-kun. Should I also bring one tomorrow?” The next day, while walking to school, Chitose asks Yuki about his lunch. Yuki says that his sister will occasionally make him a bento but for the most part, he still buys things to eat. “What about it?” Chitose tells him that before, she usually makes two portions of bento box and eats together with Shun. “Today, I temporarily made two portions.” Yuki exclaims that he’ll eat the other half and don’t give Shun to eat again. Chitose nervously smiles and says that she guessed he’ll say that. Chitose asks him if she can eat with Shun one last time today because she thinks that he also didn’t prepare a bento for himself. “And, at Atami, we had also hastily broken up so I want to take this opportunity to properly thank him.” Yuki seems hesitant but Chitose assures him that starting tomorrow, she’ll make his food. Yuki finally relents and says that he’ll just endure it for today, then. Chitose sweatdrops and smiles over this. At the clubroom, Shun puts his hand together and says, “I’ve finished eating-- It's very delicious!” While drinking his tea, Shun asks isn’t it okay for them to eat in the classroom just like before, because anyway, the others didn’t know that they broke up. Chitose smiles and says yes, but just in case-- Shun finds it regrettable that from today on, he cannot eat this kind of bento. Chitose tells him to ask Saaya to make him one. Shun tells her to forget about it because Saaya fundamentally cannot cook. “Ah, that’s right, did.. you do it with Yuki?” Blushing Chitose spits out her tea. Chitose exclaims that is impossible for they have just gone steady. Shun is puzzled that he asks if Yuki also didn’t have a desire to do it. Chitose exclaims, “Of course!”
Shun mutters what’s up with Yuki when it is rare for him to give them a good opportunity to do so, yet Yuki acted like a gentleman. Chitose looks aghast then she realizes something. She asks, “Could it be.. that after you and Saaya went home..” Chitose screams over Shun’s answer in order not to hear it and exclaims to forget it, there’s no need to tell her. After calming down a bit, Chitose says, “..anyway, thank you for always taking care of me. *smiles at Shun* I was really happy during the time that I’ve went steady with you!” Shun looks surprised over this. With crossed arms, Shun says that it is unnecessary to thank him. “I had a girlfriend, only to forget about Saaya. I chose you because I felt that you’re not that bad. Of course, it is to separate you far from Yuki. I had also deliberately made Saaya to see [us] and make her jealous. Perhaps..there is also the part of wanting to hurt Yuki. *smiles and wave at Chitose* Anyway, it includes a lot of dark thoughts, so it’s totally unnecessary for you to thank me.” Chitose replies, “But.. you definitely also had thoughts about I’m pitiful and you would want to help me forget about Yuki, right? *Shun looks surprised and slightly flustered* I never thought that you would be considerate to everyone! So! *smiles and holds out her hand to him* I still want to thank you!” Shun smiles over this and shakes Chitose’s hand. Then, Chitose is puzzled when Shun is ‘kneading’ her hand. She asks him what he is doing. Shun tells her that, touching her, feels comfortable whether it is her hand, hair or lips. “Is it because of high moisture content..” This surprises and made Chitose blush really red. Chitose quickly takes her hand away from his, and exclaims what nonsense is he talking about. Still with a deadpan expression, Shun continues to say that what is really regrettable are her poor breasts which is only 1/3 of the size of Saaya’s. Chitose shouts that he’s awful. Shun says that he still would want to do it with her once. Chitose screams in shock. Shun continues to say that he’s envious of Yuki because from today on, Yuki can touch her as he pleases. Chitose shouts that he’s an idiot and a lewd wolf. Chitose exclaims in embarrassment over how Shun can say such lewd things. Shun innocently tells her that guys are like that but only, not everyone say it clearly. Aghast Chitose doesn’t believe him and exclaims that is absolutely impossible.
Happily holding Chitose’s shoulders, Shun says, “It’s very good that right now, it is only the two of us, do you want a farewell kiss?” Chitose exclaims in shock and exclaims for him to dream on. Shun insists that it is okay, they had kissed many times before and it isn’t a big deal if it is one more. Chitose shouts for him to wait and no. Chitose quickly covers her mouth with both of her hands. The two quietly look at each other. Shun bends to her and kisses her hand where her lips are. Shun says that he’ll forgive her today but next time.. Blushing Chitose is speechless over that. She then angrily tells him that she’ll tell Saaya. This surprises Shun that he exclaims, ‘No way’ and it is unnecessary for he is only teasing her. Chitose angrily says that, this exceeds the limit of teasing. During the club meeting, Midoriko and Kanata are shock that the two pairs had exchanged partners. “Why!?” Yuki sweatdrops and says that it is a very long story. Midoriko says that she can understand Chitose and Yuki but what’s up between Shun and Saaya, is it a case of ‘misery loves company’ or ‘pity each other and they turned out to have a lot in common so let’s be together’. To Midoriko’s shock, Saaya says that she is mistaken for actually, they liked each other from the start. Midoriko comments that is really confusing. Kanata nods in agreement. Midoriko asks if all four are satisfied with their current situation and there are no ill feelings at all. Yuki says yes. Saaya says none. Chitose just blush while Shun looks aloof. Midoriko is delighted over this because lately, the feeling of the atmosphere is quite stressful/delicate so later on, she can finally plan and prepare activities at peace. She then angrily reprimands the four that from today on, they are not allowed to have disputes for she will really be troubled if someone isn’t happy and wants to quit the club because of someone else. The foursome sweatdrops and timidly says, yes.
Midoriko thinks for a moment and says that the three will be okay but she is a bit worried about Chitose. Chitose is puzzled. Midoriko explains that it is because she just transferred to school yet in less than half a year, she already got two boyfriends, Shun and Yuki, so she’s afraid that Chitose would incur the ire of the other girls. Chitose is shock and aghast to learn that. Midoriko asks Yuki if he is going to date other girls after today. Yuki says of course, not and it isn’t necessary. He adds that ever since he liked Chitose, he didn’t do that much anymore. Saaya says is that so, and that isn’t good for Yuki’s fans might meet Chitose and attack her. Saaya was totally fine before because she is strong. Chitose is shock and gloomy over this. Yuki tells Chitose not to worry for he will protect her, absolutely. “I will definitely not let anyone indiscriminately criticize you.” Chitose blushes over this. Saaya tells Chitose that she and Shun will also support her so there’s no need to worry. She looks at Shun and asks, “Right?” Shun says, ya. Chitose smiles and thanks them for their concern. She tells them to relax and, she also doesn’t regret that she went steady with Shun as well as liking Yuki. “It’s alright. No matter how others look at me, I can take it.” Midoriko happily says that if she keeps being strong like that, then there’s no need for them to worry about her. All pepped up, Midoriko exclaims that they go for a change of mood and start preparing for the activities for Valentine’s Day. She tells the foursome to properly work and they aren’t allowed to only talk about love. The foursome sweatdrop and says, yes. Later on, a guy is looking at the posters regarding the Vday activities. The guy looks at the list of club members whom they can ask about the details of the activity. He mutters, “Matsuri club..”
Seeing the cover of this chapter with Chitose looking a bit mature and pretty, and her interaction with Shun, I cannot help but shake my head and think, how could Shun give up on her that easily. Actually, I should fault the author about that. ^^; I think their farewell scene is cute and amusing. It really makes me wonder if Shun is really just teasing her or there is something more to it. I guess I can attribute this to how they interacted before as compared to Chitose and Yuki who doesn’t seem to have much of a past together..or recently, that I don’t feel much ‘dokidoki’ over their scenes together. Hm..could it also be chemistry? Also, it seems that Yuki is a typical, nice guy, gentleman, etc. In real life, he is indeed a nice choice but storywise, he is a bit boring. Maybe, I’ll get used to Chitose x Yuki later on. ^^; Now, we have a new character and I’m happy that it is guy and not a girl else, what they talked about, can happen and that will drag things a bit. I did thought that he might be a love rival but based on the ‘protecting’ issue they’ve mentioned, I think this new guy might cause mischief. I’m wishful thinking that Yuki and Shun will rush to help her or something. I’ll just have to wait and see about that. Also, it is going to be February soon or it is already February..I think a new school year is around the corner..could it be that this new guy will be a future club member? Well, I’m a bit curious as to why this series is continuing..hopefully, what’s in store in the future is good. Scans by rukimaoyou for BW.

Stardust★Wink [Chapter 30]
Thursday, June 9, 2011
Cover Page: “Thank you for the support, we are now on chapter 30! Everyone, how about we also take a picture together?” [This series has a vcomic so if you want to check it out, go here.] Pointing to her, Mashiro exclaims, “If you want to know about Hinata’s feelings, defeat Mari-sensei!!” Narration: “That is what Mashiro-kun told me in a bit (or I should say, really) excited manner. But..” In the classroom, the teacher tells the students that time is up so pass the answer sheets from back to front. Anna looks shock and aghast as a girl takes her answer sheet. Anna thinks that it has become that time again when this happened. “It is devil-type exam season once again... I wasn’t able to answer everything yet, and it has already left me.” While Nanoka happily rejoices that it is finally over and she is free, Anna slumps her head on the table and mutters, “It’s over.. all sorts of meaning [/significance in life or studying?] is over.” She then notices a guy calling out to Sou how he did on the exam. Sou says that it is typical. Anna thinks, “Even going far as saying, ‘typical’. *pop vein* What are you saying, when every time, you would quickly put your head down and sleep when there is extra time!” Sou tells his friend that he is hungry that his friend offers him some chewing gum. Sou refuses by saying that he doesn’t eat gum. He looks back in the room and probably sees Anna looking at him with a somewhat pleading[?] look. She remembers Sou telling Mashiro that it is nothing and he already heard it from Hinata. Anna thinks, “He knows that I went out on a date with Hinata. I wonder what Sou thought of it. *sweatdrop* No matter how I look at it, doesn’t his reaction seem to mean ‘So what?’.” Then, Aya comes in the room and calls out to both Anna and Nanoka. She greets them a ‘good work’ regarding the exams. Nanoka says that since it is rare for them to get an early school dismissal so why don’t they go hang out for a while before going home. Aya agrees with this idea. Anna happily exclaims that she wants to eat some gelato. Nanoka exclaims that is good and they should go do it. Turning to Hinata, Aya thanks him for his text [/sms] and they’ll be troubling him this weekend. After a pause, Hinata just says ya.
At Vita Italian gelato cafe, the three girls are eating their ice cream. Anna exclaims if they are going to take pictures of Hinata this weekend. Aya says that the storyboard is already done so right now, Hinata is going to start drawing the final draft. Aya happily informs Anna that it seems that she has been a great help before. Anna exclaims if that is so, that’s great. Then, she asks if it is really okay to pay a visit during the rumored ‘mangaka’s battlefield’. Nanoka asks what she is being so excited about and visualizing it as something heroic. Nanoka says that she thinks that Anna will be disappointed. Anna sweatdrops and says, really. Aya comments that this time around, it seems that Hinata has plenty of time. She asks Anna if she is free this weekend. Anna says that she is. Aya says that is great for she thought that she is going to have a date with Hinata again since exams are over. Anna’s smile froze in surprise. Nanoka tells Aya that she is mistaken for there is a problem even before the date because those two are currently at a delicate situation. Aya exclaims is that so. Aya starts to apologize to Anna for once again she had.. Anna tensely tells her that no, not really but rather, it is only because she didn’t ask Hinata a question that she should ask so currently, she is suspended in midair. Nanoka says that is why she said ‘delicate’. “Nanoka obviously told you that it will be okay to just quickly call and ask it clearly.” [<- Nanoka addresses herself like that, instead of ‘I’.] Aya asks if they didn’t talk on the phone since then. To Aya’s shock, flustered Anna admits that they still frequently chat on the phone but..they didn’t talk about that topic. Aya exclaims why. Nanoka says, “See- Even Aya-chan thinks that it is mind-boggling.” After a pause, Anna says that it is because.. While remembering what happened during the date, Anna thinks, “That day..although I wasn’t able to ask about the crucial issue, but, even if it wasn’t said, I also was able to feel some things that Hinata had conveyed. From his expression. From his action.” Anna sadly tells her friends that she cannot just depend on the phone to convey this thing and isn’t it too much.. Nanoka says, “So, to put it bluntly, you are scared of asking him. That is the meaning of your explanation.” Anna admits that, too. She thinks that of course, she’s afraid but if it is okay for Hinata to say it on the phone, then, he would have already said it. “I’ve already made myself aware [of this possibility] but then, I cannot do anything about it for the problem doesn’t solely lie with me.”
At the bedroom, Anna happily tells Hinata about a mangaka in her class. She told him before that mangaka had agreed to be their model for the Photo Koshien. “If I took nice pictures, I’ll show it to you ♪ A professional at work.” Hinata says okay, he would really want to see. Anna happily asks Hinata what pictures had he taken of lately. After a pause, Hinata says, all sorts of stuff. Anna looks at the phone and pauses for a while. Then, looking up, she says that Coco has lately been always looking for traces of Hinata. Hinata exclaims is that true, how cute. While she is telling Hinata that Coco has been lonely ever since GW, Anna thinks ever since that day, Hinata seems to have suddenly closed himself up that he won’t talk about his matters again. She sighs and thinks that right now, she cannot continue talking about that day. “Mashiro-kun had also said that Hinata is interested in photography but like this, asking him about it, his reaction is quite indifferent..” Then, her mother comes in the room and tells her that no one is in the bathroom now. Anna says, okay. Hinata takes the opportunity to say goodbye and says that he’ll call again. Anna looks at the phone and thinks, “..but, he is quite diligent in keeping in touch with me. (So happy). Hinata is really becoming more and more mysterious.” Going to school the next day, Anna sighs when someone taps her back. She turns around and it is Kurumi who greets her a good morning. Anna greets her back and exclaims that it has been a long time since she has seen her since they are in different classrooms. Kurumi says that is true and it doesn’t seem like a long time since Hime would always talk about Anna. Anna nervously says that it would definitely be about criticizing her like she’s made them worry and she won’t sincerely study. Kurumi says that it isn’t like that because based on their talk, she thought that they really like Anna. The everyday situation: Rui sighs and asks why Anna is so stupid that it is really unbelievable. Hime agrees and says that even if it is fun acting as the tsukkomi* on Anna, that kid would be very sad without a tsukkomi. [* refers to “straight" or deliberately unfunny partner in a two- man manzai comedy routine. Also, the verbal or physical reprimand he administers to his partner, the boke. (Source: ANN)] End flashback. Kurumi giggles and says that they are easily embarrassed. Aghast Anna thinks that it is amazing what a good kid can strain [/filter out]. “Now, I can finally understand.. as to why Mochiduki-chan can have a good relationship with that Mari-chan during junior high.. *light bulb* That’s right, if it is Mochiduki-chan..!!” Anna tensely asks Kurumi if she knows that Mari is in the same school as Hinata’s. Puzzled Kurumi answers yes, she knows, she heard it from Mari.
Anna rushes towards Kurumi and exclaims if she doesn’t find it strange for in reality, it is very strange. “During junior high, she quit and won’t be a teacher anymore because she is getting married and it seems that her boyfriend stays in Tokyo. Then, after getting married and have settled down in Tokyo, because there is a recession right now, I can understand why both the husband and wife have to work but, why would she particularly go to work at the school where Hinata goes!?” Anna thinks that Hinata had become change from that day on and it definitely has something to do with that person, just like before, how sensei treated [/act towards] Hinata during junior high. Kurumi looks at her in surprise and asks could it be that Anna detests the situation of Mari and Hinata being in the same school. Anna covers her mouth in surprise. Looking aghast, Anna tensely denies that she detests it but rather it is quite shocking. Anna thinks that she has forgotten that Kurumi didn’t know what Mari did to Hinata behind her back – that ‘I’ll cheer you up’ magic. Anna tensely thinks that she couldn’t tell Kurumi about it. Kurumi asks if Anna knew about it only recently. “It’s because Hime-chan said that you entered the photography club that I thought that it is because of Hinata’s influence.” Anna perks up and saks, “Influence?” Kurumi tells her, “I heard that Tokura-kun had also entered the photography club and the adviser is Mari-chan.” After a pause and it sinks in, Anna goes “!?” Kurumi continues to say that Mari even praised about Hinata having a photographer’s touch so he’s amazing and she would want to see his work. Looking tense and aghast, Anna mentally tells Kurumi to stop, what did she just said, is that for real, for even if she mentioned about the club, Hinata had also totally not.. Then, Kurumi happily asks Anna if she and the others were the ones who took the pictures on that poster, those were really nice. She also asks if Anna and the others are also aiming for the Photo Koshien. Kurumi happily says that she heard that Hinata’s school, because it is an art school, would frequently compete in it. “And maybe, you guys will meet at the competition! It will be nice if it is like that! Koshiro-chan, gambatte!!” Anna covers her eyes and thinks that it’s too shiny. Sparkling Kurumi happily waves and bids her goodbye. After Kurumi left, Anna processes what just learned. Hinata entered the photography club and Mari is the adviser. Hinata is in the same school as Mari and Hinata do not want to mention things concerning him. “It makes me think more that it concerns Mari.. but why? Is it because right now, he still likes Mari-chan so he doesn’t want to talk about his love life? But based on the mood before, this doesn’t seem to be the reason. Wrong, maybe it is only me who is hoping for that.. ~~ *holds head* I don’t understand. In the end, there are a lot of things that I want to say to Hinata. And also, sensei.. If I can really meet them at the competition, then it will be two birds in one stone.. *putting on her fiery delinquent looking pose* Photo Koshien..I only have to put my all into this fight [/competition]..!”
On weekend, Aya happily waves to Anna and tells her to go here. Enthusiastic Anna apologizes for making her wait. Aya comments that she is all fired up. Holding her fist up, Anna exclaims that it is because for a long time, she has been anticipating the day when they can take pictures. “Come, let’s go!! To Kazami Hinata’s house!!” At an apartment, Aya tells Anna that Nanoka had sent her a text that she will go first to Hinata’s house but then, Anna is carrying a lot of stuff. Holding her bag up, Anna says that it is because she plans to stay overnight at Nanoka’s place after they took the pictures. It will be like a pajama party. Anna tells her that Nanoka has always been complaining that she also invited Aya but Aya declined. While ringing the door bell, Aya tells her that it is because she has a prior engagement with someone else but next time, she’ll definitely join them. The door opens and they are surprised to see haggard looking Hinata, who welcomes them. Aya asks if Hinata didn’t sleep. She apologizes for disturbing him while he’s drawing the final draft but they’ll just take pictures and quickly go home. Nanoka peeks out of the room and says that she thinks that it would be better if they don’t go home. Aya looks surprised as Nanoka winks and flashes her a v-sign. “Because right now, Hinata is in his most desperate battle of all history [as a mangaka] ☆” Aya asks Hinata that didn’t he had a lot of time this time around. Hinata tells her that before, there are a lot of time but last night, the editor called and said, ‘I thought of a more interesting progress, re-draw the latter half of the manuscript.’ Aghast Aya asks when the deadline is. Hinata tells her on Monday. Aya exclaims if there is no extension. Hinata says that the editor said, ‘Hinata-chan draws really fast, so there’s no problem’... Anna whispers to Nanoka that she doesn’t quite understand but it seems that the situation is bad. Nanoka tells her to know about Hinata’s situation, they must start from the midterm exam. Nanoka explains that Hinata obviously reviewed his lessons diligently but when the exams are coming up, the exam topic’s range are suddenly changed and the exam date wasn’t changed. Flashback: Bunny teacher told Hinata that won’t it be better to change the exam’s scope. Hinata went, ‘Wha!?” End flashback. The teacher who changed the scope of the exam even irresponsibly said, “If it’s you, you’ll definitely be able to do it!! I believe in you.” Flashback: Bunny teacher told irked Hinata to believe in himself. End flashback. Anna freaks out over it and exclaims that’s too much and it’ll lead to a dead end. [<- About school, that is the probably another reason why Hinata is sleepy aside from the need to do the last minute manga revisions.]
Aya offers to help Hinata. Anna also offers to help him. Hinata asks if that is true but then, the pictures.. They tell him that they’ll help him and take pictures at the same time. Hinata asks if they can do that. Nanoka says that just now, she has always been helping him but that table of his can only sit two people so she is going to stay on the bed. Holding a book, Nanoka jumps to Hinata’s bed. Speechless Hinata just looks at her [for doing whatever she wants?]. Then, Hinata gives the other two girls some manga pages and tells them that he has already inked the first half of the manuscript so could they help him erase the draft/pencil lines. Aya takes the papers and says that’s great for it is something that she can do. She gives half of it to Anna. Anna blushes a bit upon seeing some of the pages of the manga. Hinata tells them sorry for the trouble and he’ll be continuing re-drawing the latter half. Anna is surprised at how fast ‘vroom vroom’ and intense Hinata goes in drawing so if she didn’t do her best.. She sees Aya busy erasing the lines so Anna quickly goes to work. They finish and they were given new things to erase. Erase..erase.. Soon, it is night. Nanoka complains to Hinata that she is hungry and it is already 7pm. Hinata goes into shock that it is already 7pm. While Aya immediately looks at her cellphone, Nanoka asks in a singsong manner if Hinata’s mother and others aren’t home today. “Call on the phone, that ramen store, and order some delivery food-- Nanoka wants chashu [roasted pork fillet] ramen ♥♥.”
Aya stands up and apologizes for it is almost time for her to go home. “Gambatte, Hinata. I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to help you much.” Hinata tells her that she already helped a lot but then, what about the pictures. To Anna’s shock, Aya tells Hinata that she had already took them. Anna wondered when did Aya took them since she is so busy helping, she [Anna] totally forgot about it. As he walks Aya out, Hinata asks if it is alright for her to go home by herself. Aya tells him that it is okay, because right now, there are still buses. She also tells him that it is okay for him to just walk her to the gate. While holding her camera, Anna asks if it is only Aya-chan who doesn’t live in this apartment and she thought that she did since they are childhood friends... While on the phone, Nanoka tells her that Aya has moved out from there earlier. Nanoka asks Anna if she also wants chashu ramen and it is very delicious. Anna says ya. Nanoka mutters that Hinata would definitely want vegetable ramen. When Hinata returns, Nanoka exclaims that she ordered some food. Hinata sweats over the assistant deciding things on her own. Anna watches Hinata as he sighs and gets back to work. She seems mesmerized by him. “Bent over at his desk while working slavishly, even if I have taken his picture several times, his concentrate won’t even decline a bit. It is simply as if he and the one at school are two different persons. Kazami-kun, he...” Her thoughts are interrupted by the door bell. Hinata says that it must be the delivery. Raising up her arm, Anna volunteers to go. She tells Hinata to continue on drawing. The door opens and Anna says, “Com—ing.” Delivery boy Sou reads from a paper, “I’m from Sennin-ya. [Sennin store] Two orders of chasu ramen and one order vegetable ramen..” He stops reading and looks at the customer who turns out to be Anna who looks dumbfound at him. Then, the aghast and surprised childhood friends back away from each other and goes, “!?”
Hehe, this author really likes to pull surprises in every chapter. I guess with Sou’s appearance here, those two will be making up pretty soon before the photo competition. My guess it has been a month or so since they had ‘separated’. I really wonder what Sou’s reaction afterwards regarding this. Anna is staying at some other guy’s house and might possibly stay overnight there or somewhere nearby, courtesy of Nanoka. =P Since it is night, I’m imagining Sou would offer to walk her home or something and she will refuse. Okay, I’m kind of hoping that there will be a bit of jealousy or something with Sou in order for him to quit being passive or stop his ‘cold war’ with Anna. So that will be one less problem for Anna. Actually, the other type of reaction would be Sou going ‘wow’ over Hinata being a mangaka because after all, Sou is into pokemon. =P Won’t it be nice if Anna’s cellphone rings and it is a phone call from Hinata. And, Hinata answered it? =P That will be an interesting scene. I wonder if it is a trend for Anna to have a ‘mesmerized/dreamy’ look whenever she takes nice pictures. It happened with Sou before and it seemed to have happened with Hinata. Hinata turns out to be quite likeable and because he has a tendency to be timid or a pushover, he does seem to be a less stressful guy than the two leading guys. =P I’m amused over Anna’s comment that it seems Hinata has a dual personality because that is what I thought of Hinata before. Also, it is indeed a surprise that Nanoka is also turning out to be such a likeable character, too. She really knows how to get to the core of the problem and say things bluntly. =P Anyway, I think Anna’s problem with Sou will be resolved first, before the one with Hinata. Maybe Sou can give Anna more hints about what’s the real issue between Mari and Hinata. The issue between those two is really strange that just like Anna, it does seem something like ‘love’ and yet, it isn’t really. It’s nice that Anna can just stop overly thinking about this thing for a while and focus on something that is attainable towards her goal. Hopefully, there’s more fun in the next chapter and I cannot help but wonder if what Hinata’s editor did here happened in real life that the author wasn’t able to make a colored page. ^^; I actually missed it. Hadashi de Bara wo Fume [Chapter 46]
Tuesday, June 7, 2011
Later on, a beard man says that they do not need any workers but based on Soichiroh’s outfit, he doesn’t look like a poor person so how could he be having difficulties with money. The man offers to buy the ring on Soichiroh’s finger for a high price. Soichiroh is surprised. Much later on, Eisuke returns to Sumi and the others who are using a blanket to keep themselves warm. He tells Sumi that it’s cold and today, he wasn’t able to find work. The kids cry that they are cold and hungry. Sumi looks sad for she cannot do anything. Then, happy looking Soichiroh arrives and says that he bought some food, it’s eel. Sumi is shock to hear this. While Atari asks what eel is, Sumi asks where he got the money to buy such an expensive thing. Soichiroh tells her that he sold his shoes and leather belt. Sumi exclaims that he came back barefooted. Eisuke exclaims so Soichiroh bought eel and yet, he didn’t even save some money. Soichiroh smiles and says that it is because eel is delicious. While Sumi looks tense over this, Eisuke exclaims in frustration that that is why he hates them young rich guys. Sumi quickly bends down to Soichiroh’s feet and offers to wipe them. Soichiroh thanks her. Eisuke asks Soichiroh about selling that wedding ring. Soichiroh protests that he won’t sell it. Showing it to Sumi, Soichiroh exclaims that no matter what happens, he absolutely won’t sell this ring since ‘that ring is the proof that they are a married couple’. Flustered Sumi smiles and says, “Ya..” Soon, the kids are eating the eel and they agree that it is delicious, something that they have not eaten before. Soichiroh urges Sumi to also eat. Sumi thanks him but says that she’ll let the kids eat first. Soichiroh protests that he bought it for her. Sumi exclaims that she knows and she felt Soichiroh’s good intentions on it. Soon, they are all fast asleep. Afterwards, Sumi wakes up and notices that the rain has stopped. Then, she notices that Soichiroh is breathing hard and looks unwell. Eisuke wakes up when he heard Sumi calling out to Soichiroh to hang in there. Eisuke asks what happened. Sumi says that Soichiroh..he.. Soon, Eisuke and Sumi carry sick Soichiroh around town trying to look for a doctor to treat him but they refuse since they won’t have any money.
Then, another doctor shouts for them to go elsewhere. Sumi is infuriated that she prostrates down and asks him to please help. The doctor says that even if she prostrates down, he won’t see the patient. Eisuke urges her that they go elsewhere. Sumi tries to protest as she sees Soichiroh’s condition looking bad. Taking off her ring, Sumi offers it as collateral, which she will definitely redeem later on. The doctor looks at the ring closely and comments that it is a silver ring. To their delight, the doctor accepts the deal and tells them to bring Soichiroh inside. Inside the clinic, the doctor puts on his coat and tells them to put the patient on the bed. He tells his nurse to prepare some hot water to wash up the patient. Sumi lovingly looks at Soichiroh then tells her surprised brother that she’ll leave Soichiroh to him. She kisses Soichiroh. With tears falling from her eyes, Sumi tells her brother again that she’ll leave Soichiroh to him. Eisuke looks a bit nervous and flustered over this. He calls out to Sumi but she already left. While she runs at the streets, she bumps on a man and falls down from the impact. The man scolds her to watch where she is going. Some onlookers ask what’s up with her and she’s all muddy. Sumi didn’t mind them as she keeps on crying. At Nozomu’s house, ding dong. Komai answers the door and asks who it is. He looks surprised. Coming out, Nozomu asks if they have a visitor. Nozomu sees a muddy figure. After looking surprised, Nozomu smiles and says, “Welcome.” Back at the Dr. Kiyomizu*’s clinic, Eisuke is puzzled when Kiyomizu returned the ring. [*It literally means ‘clear water’. It is a made up name based on the kanji] Kiyomizu tells him that just now, someone had already paid for the doctor’s fees. Eisuke is surprised by this that he exclaimed what is going on. At the bathroom in Nozomu’s place, Sumi takes a shower and thinks that she didn’t think that she will unexpectedly be selling herself once again. Later on, Komai opens the door and tells Nozomu that Sumi had wash and dressed up. Nozomu turns around to face Sumi and his face brightens up like a kid who just got his Christmas present. Then, he goes back to dark mode by looking sinisterly and says, “I welcome you. My princess!”
Don’t you feel like we are going around in circles? It seems like we are back in chapter 1 with a little change here and there. With different roles, but the main premise is Sumi is in a dire situation with someone sick and she is forced to ‘sell’ herself for the sake of her loved one. It seems like Sumi is stuck in some time warp and the two leading men swap places. ^^; The cover page question seems to be a joke. Not only Soichiroh didn’t sufficiently protect Sumi, he had caused Sumi to do that. I cannot really blame Sumi here because she must have thought of ‘what if Soichiroh died’ since no doctor wanted to treat him. In the end, wouldn’t it been better for Soichiroh just to keep his company and just figure out of a way later on to take Sumi from Nozomu? At least that way, he still has his resources and money rather than where he put himself right now. He is easy picking for Nozomu who has all of his money. Soichiroh also made some mistakes here. He could have just swallowed his pride and took the money from Komai. He could just sell that ring and just buy another one later on. And, he should have bought something cheap, instead of using the money he got on a ‘one time delicious meal’. Those mistakes are costly and it somewhat makes me think that no wonder he lost his company. He isn’t suitable to be a company president. It may be a bit harsh but I cannot help thinking that no wonder Nozomu is getting the upper hand here because he got all the brains plus the cold-heartedness to pull all off in order to get the things he want. Actually, that is what Soichiroh is doing before until he fell in love with Sumi. ^^; Also, I don’t think Eisuke has the right to be infuriated with Soichiroh because he pretty much did the same things before = losing the money they had. About the collateral, how come they didn’t think of using the cross necklace, just like what HanaDan17 suggested before? Ah..unless Sumi left it at the drawer? ^^;; Hehe, I think the author probably needs it later on so it shouldn’t be pawned. So, what can stop Nozomu? I think it is another crazy person because based on Margaret official page, it seems that Miu will be back in chapter 48. Okay, unless Miu might want another crack at killing Sumi. ^^;;; Scans by rukimaoyou for BW.

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu [Chapter 86]
Monday, June 6, 2011
While separating her hair, Hiro asks her for how long does she cut her hair once. Tsubaki tells him that she cuts her hair herself and about the length, she just trims it a little bit when she feels that it is long. Hiro is surprised by this that he exclaims if that’s true or not, and isn’t it only the bangs. Tsubaki explains that around elementary, her mother would always bring her to a cheap nearby parlor to cut her hair but it always end up into some weird haircut. It is a mop hairstyle with very short bangs. So, she used her allowance to buy a pair of scissors specially made to cut hair. And, later on, she would always cut her own hair. Tsubaki admits that she honestly always wanted to go to this high class beauty parlor to have her haircut but it is too expensive. Tsubaki becomes nervous when Hiro comments is that so, she can cut her own hair like this. “..good..” Tsubaki looks surprised when Hiro flips through her hair and says that no wonder her hair have been cut quite crudely so the first thing to do is, he is going to trim it as a whole. Tsubaki is in total shock that she asks if it is really awful. While putting the body cover on her, Hiro says that it totally doesn’t have any technique. He advises her to go to a specialty school to learn and practice, then it will turn out well. And if she wants to become a hairstylist, even if it is expensive, it would be better for her to also go to a good salon for research. Tsubaki interrupts him and tells him that she didn’t mention about wanting to become a hairstylist. Hiro smiles at her and asks if she isn’t interested in it. “Am I mistaken?” Tsubaki looks at him and admits that he is right, she always longed to be one but her parents really oppose it that she couldn’t persuade them. With a sad smile, Tsubaki says, “So, I’m going to get into a good university first, and one day, I might be able to realize that goal..” Hiro says that is quite good, going to college and it is absolutely better for her to go to college. Flustered Tsubaki asks if that is so. She is stunned when Hiro bluntly says, “Because you are not suitable to become a hairstylist.” Standing up to face him, Tsubaki asks what he just said and he obviously didn’t know much about her yet why would he say such a thing to her. She remembers those girls whose hair she made, had told her that she is amazing and she should be a hairstylist. Tsubaki is totally frustrated that Hiro would say words like ‘crude’ and ‘not suitable’. Gesturing to the chair, Tsubaki calls out to Hiro to sit and she’ll fix his hair. “Then, after you’ve seen the finished work, you judge whether or not I’m suitable to become a hairstylist..!” Hiro smiles at her and asks her if she knows the unemployment rate of hairstylists. Tsubaki is taken aback by his question. She tells him that she doesn’t know.
Hiro tells her that it is 80%. “From the outside, it seems that a hairstylist is a gorgeous profession but even if you would want to be the one to cut other people’s hair, you would also still need at least three years. From morning to night, you will practice as an assistant. Other than that, the wages are so low that it’s quite scary thus, it is such a cruel world.” Tsubaki tells him that without perseverance, one cannot continue doing such an exhausting work, and she knows about that. Hiro smiles and says, “Is that so.. Then, you should know-- *he looks serious and leaning to Tsubaki* that you, who do not even have the perseverance to convince your parents, isn’t suited for this.” Tsubaki looks at him in surprise that she couldn’t answer back. Hiro turns the chair towards her and says, “—okay, I still have a pile of work to do, so quickly sit down and let’s do this, okay, Miss Model?” Tsubaki looks at him with a bewildered look. Meanwhile at the hospital, Sakura and Nishiki happily congratulate Kyouta on his release from the hospital. They were shock when Kyouta shouts that Nishiki is late. In disbelief, the nurses are all clinging to him and his bags, not wanting him to leave or else, how can they live, and they want him to come back soon. Holding on to a clutch and trying to leave, Kyouta tells Nishiki that he’ll leave his bags up to him. As they head out of the hospital, the two comments that Kyouta is really amazing to get himself discharged from the hospital, two weeks ahead of schedule and his right arm is healed. Nishiki says that for the first time, he can be registered as a third year. Kyouta corrects him that no, he still has to go under rehabilitation therapy at home so he would have to wait for a month before going to school. Nishiki casually says that it would have been nice if he can go to school immediately because his seatmate is Tsu.. Suddenly, Sakura puts her hands on Nishiki’s mouth and whispers to him that he cannot just say that directly and they should let Kyouta notice it himself as if it is like fate. She calls Nishiki inconsiderate and she’ll break up with him. While Nishiki is stunned by that, Sakura tells Kyouta that compared to that, has he seen this. Sakura takes out a hairstyle magazine from her bag and shows it to Kyouta. Kyouta says how he could read that. Sakura happily flips through the pages and tells him to look at this page. There is a pretty picture of smiling Tsubaki with a nice hairstyle + flower. Kyouta looks surprised by it. Sakura happily tells him that while flipping through a bookstore, she saw Tsubaki’s picture in a magazine and she is really shock by it.
Sakura tells Kyouta that Tsubaki looked really cute because of the make-up. Sakura tries to give Kyouta a copy since she bought two. Kyouta turns away and says that he doesn’t want it. While Sakura is wondering why, Kyouta is already quickly walking away. Nishiki calls out to him and tells him that the bus station is at the other side. Kyouta tells him that as rehab therapy, he is going to walk to the subway station. Nishiki exclaims in shock since that is a 30 minute walk. Somewhat flustered and sad Kyouta wonders what Tsubaki is doing for she would show such an unknown expression [<- he never saw before; brilliant smile] while he’s not around. At school, during a break, Tsubaki buries her face on her hands and mutters that it is this guy’s special issue again. There is an advertisement on the magazine about Hiro. Miho tells her that she is really shock by that before and Tsubaki totally didn’t tell her about it. Tsubaki exclaims that she is also shock for she didn’t know that the picture is going to be published on a magazine and if she knew earlier, she would have refused. Miho tells Tsubaki that it would be better not to let Kyouta see it. Tsubaki is puzzled. Miho explains that even if it is a hairstylist, it is because of some other guy that Tsubaki became really cute [/because Tsubaki let some other guy touched her]. “As a boyfriend, he’ll be very angry.” Tsubaki is surprised to know this. A couple of girls call out to Tsubaki. One girl says that they saw the magazine and it is really amazing for her to become Hiro’s model. Another girl says that she is Hiro’s fan so could Tsubaki introduce her to him. Tsubaki tries to protest that she doesn’t know him that well to introduce.. The girls accuse Tsubaki of not only wanting to monopolize Kyouta, she also wants to monopolize Hiro. They wonder out loud why Tsubaki has luck with gorgeous guys. They call her a weirdo and how jealous they are of her.
This irks Tsubaki that she shouts at them that it is useless for them to say things at her for she already doesn’t want to see that guy again. Miho asks Tsubaki if that is so. Tsubaki angrily says that it is because Hiro is such a detestable guy. Flashback: After taking her picture, Hiro told Tsubaki good work, and she can just change her clothes, then she can go home. Tsubaki asked him on how to make that braid before for didn’t he tell her that he would teach her if she modeled for him. While cleaning up, Hiro slyly smiled and told her that he felt that he doesn’t want to tell her because her goal isn’t the same as his. Tsubaki exclaimed how can that be for what he said before, isn’t the same now. Holding up a flyer, Hiro asks about her working at their store for they need workers. “Then, that way, it would be okay if I tell you [how to do it].” Tsubaki is shaking in anger that she shouts that is enough, she won’t come back again. End flashback. While Miho and the two girls look at Tsubaki, they overhear three excited girls saying that Kyouta just went to the school office. They ask if his wound is okay. Someone says that it seems that he came only for today. “That’s right.. just now, I’ve heard something very important--..” Tsubaki’s eyes widen in surprise. Miho tries to tell something to Tsubaki but aghast and nervous Tsubaki says that it is nonsense. Flashback: “You know..because the time he’s attending school isn’t enough..” End flashback. Miho suddenly stands up and exclaims in surprise. Tsubaki looks at the side and sees Kyouta entering the room with some girls surrounding him. Flashback: “It’s possible that he might be retained for a year.” End flashback.
Hiro is an amusing guy that I wonder if he wants to keep seeing Tsubaki is because of her hair. =P It really does seem like an adult is ‘teasing’ her though I don’t really think that it is a romantic kind, not yet. For him to suggest to her on how to become a hairstylist, I do think that he is interested in training her for he sees her potential. He even suggested that she work at their parlor. Hehe, he is still using that ‘how to braid’ as a lure. He also gave her some ‘enlightenment’ on persevering on what she really wants to do and not to give up in persuading her parents. Overall, I think Hiro is good for Tsubaki. He already helped her to think more positively rather than be hopelessly lost and frustrated. Now, he seems to be pushing her a bit in pursuing her dream. He must be the first guy to have turned her down from her proposal to fix his hair. =P For someone of Hiro’s stature, it does seem a bit cheeky to suggest it. ^^; Well, it is understandable because Hiro stepped on her pride on being good enough to become a hairstylist. But of course, Tsubaki has a jealous boyfriend so I think that might cause some friction. Kyouta doesn’t seem happy about it or rather, not happy that without him, Tsubaki is looking radiant, pretty and not that troubled. Hehe, I guess he felt uneasy about that especially since they are currently separated. It does seem like it is his turn to be a bit..ah, insecure that Tsubaki’s world can still continue without him? Maybe, he is a bit frustrated that someone else..a guy is helping Tsubaki but then, he still doesn’t know the inside story about that. As for Miho’s reasoning about being jealous because some other guy made the girlfriend beautiful, I guess I cannot quite empathize with that. Watching some makeover tv shows, I have yet to see a boyfriend/husband becoming jealous over some gay/guy for beautifying their girlfriend/wife. Isn’t the normal reaction supposed to be like, ‘wow, I have such a beautiful girlfriend/wife? I’m happy for her.’ and not ‘how irritating that my girlfriend/wife is made pretty by this guy, I want her to look plain and smile radiantly only towards me.’ Okay, the latter one shouldn’t be too surprising if one has a super jealous boyfriend/husband. ^^; Is it good that Tsubaki doesn’t want to see Hiro again so that there won’t be no trouble later on? It might be good for the love life but what about the dream to be a hairstylist? Hiro is currently the most famous hairstylist in town. Somehow, I doubt that she will not see him again and well, hehe, some of us wanted to see Kyouta be the one who is jealous and everything instead of it always being Tsubaki. Just when Tsubaki’s problem is about to be resolved, we have another problem..Kyouta might be retained for a year. Well, it is just hearsay and maybe the school can make an exception for Kyouta who is after all, quite intelligent. On a side note, isn’t it ironic that the one who made Tsubaki like doing hairstyles and in the end, become a hairstylist, is her own mother? =P Scans by 17kkmh.com but the summary is based on Mercury Studio’s scanlation.

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu [Chapter 86] Teaser
Saturday, June 4, 2011
It is mostly about Tsubaki and Hiro who seems to be talking about hair and Tsubaki’s desire to be a hair stylist. I think Hiro told her to convince her mother what she wants to do. Then, Kyouta is finally discharged from the hospital with Sakura and Nishiki to greet him when he came out. They show him a picture of Tsubaki on the magazine. He looks displeased and frustrated in a way since he wasn’t the one who helped her? Soon, at school, they are talking about Tsubaki’s picture. Then, Tsubaki overhears that Kyouta might be retained for a year in school. On cue, Kyouta comes in the classroom. Proper summary and comments when the Chinese scans are out. PS. cbox/tagboard seems to be having problems so it isn't functioning right now. It's working again ^^
Later on, the two are watching over Eros who is sleeping on the bed. Leo say that Eros probably collapsed over dehydration and when he hugged him, he noticed that Eros’ body is filled with sweat but then, this way, he can properly sleep. Later on, Leo and Lele didn’t say anything more for both of them thought that like this, they’ll quietly watch over Eros. Next day, Lele wakes Leo up and reminds him that he has work today. She tells him to wash up and leave the things there to her. Before leaving, Leo tells her to call him if something happens. Lele says she will. Lele looks back in the room and sees some packs of food on the floor by the table. Lele wonders if those pile of food were prepared by Taylor and it seems that yesterday, Eros is busy resisting [fighting] with himself that he didn’t eat so he collapsed. Lele happily thinks that she’ll make Eros some yummy and nutritious breakfast. After cooking, Lele wonders if he is accustomed to eating Chinese congee and some side dishes for that is all she knows how to cook. Lele is someone who doesn’t usually go in the kitchen. Lele happily goes to Eros’ side and tells ‘Sleeping [male] Beauty’ to wake up. Lele looks at him then goes into shock as sleeping Eros is blowing a bubble. ^^; Lele thinks that over one night, Eros has turned into a bum again. [<- Eros’ beard is growing] Lele tearfully cries on how she missed Mr. Stubble. Just when she is about to touch him, Eros calls out her name in his sleep and tells her not to cry. This surprises Lele. She starts to cry as she holds his hand to her face. Then, Taylor arrives and asks out loud as to what happened. Lele turns around to him. And, Eros wakes up. Taylor asks why she is there and how did she get in. While Lele tries to answer Taylor’s inqueries, Eros looks surprised and sees that Lele is holding his hand. Lele tensely tells Taylor that she isn’t a thief and it is because last night, they saw Eros trying to jump out the window so.. While Taylor is shock by that, Eros asks her what else she saw. Lele turns to look at Eros who looks really aghast and displeased. After gulping, Lele looks tense and admits that she saw everything and she also knows everything. Eros and Taylor look tense.
Angry Eros shouts for her to get lost. After a pause, Lele looks at him and sweetly smiles. She tells him that it is okay for her to get lost, but before she leaves, she wants to see him finish eating the breakfast she made. If he doesn’t, she’ll always just stay there. Sweatdropping Eros is shock by this. “What!?” Eros angrily tells Taylor to help him in getting Lele out. Taylor backs Lele up by saying that Eros didn’t eat anything yesterday and when he opened the door, he saw all the foodstuffs that Eros threw on the floor. “Since Lele kindheartedly helped you prepare some food, you should go eat!” Lele is delighted over this. She starts patting Eros’ shoulder and tells him, “See, even Taylor said so, so why don’t you just obey. Old Chap~ Anyway, right now, you are so weak that you don’t even have the strength to truss a chicken, and you also have no way of doing anything to me! Hahaha..” Eros is totally furious over this. Taylor watches them in amazement. Eros angrily warns Lele that his stomach is currently empty that he might vomit whatever he ate. Carrying the food on the tray, Lele tells him to just continue eating after he vomits so that at least, some of it would get to his stomach. Eros angrily shouts at her if she is mistreating him. Lele happily puts the food on the table and tells the young master to eat up. Upon seeing the food, Eros remembers the time when his mother cooked the same thing for him and his twin. Flashback: Young Eros asked his mother what this food is. His mother told him that it is ‘congee’. From her grandmother [from mother side]’s hometown, people would eat it as breakfast. Eros exclaimed that it is delicious and he would want to eat it everyday. His mother happily told him that since he likes to eat it, she will cook it for him everyday. End flashback. Lele watches Eros eats one spoonful after another. He then angrily asks what’s up with her. Holding a trash can to him, Lele bluntly tells him that she’s waiting for him to throw up. With Lele watching him, Eros goes back to eating. After ten minutes, Eros cleans up his bowl. Lele is totally shock as Eros lies down back on the bed. He tells Lele that he has totally finished eating so can she now, get lost. To Eros’ irritation, Lele holds up a notepad and asks, “Okay, young master! Then, what do you want to eat for lunch?” Eros angrily kicks her out and tells her to get lost. Lele thinks that after eating, it seems that Eros now has some strength. Somewhere else, it is raining. Feidna is thrown down the sidewalk, along with her luggage. [<- Ah, at first, I thought it is Mode but the people in BW are talking about Feidna and she is mentioned at the teaser so..it’s probably Feidna, and I have to revise this summary. ^^;] It seems that she is only wearing a thin dress/undergarment. A man, [her ex-lover] together with a woman, tells Feidna that by tomorrow, US$500,000 will be deposited into her bank account and to be tactful, just take the money and leave. “Don’t come back to cause a ruckus again, slut!” Feidna looks in shock as tears starts forming on her eyes. She remembers the time when she happily told her father of the good news that she is getting married to a banker soon, so could he come because the banker would want to eat with him. [Ah, I cannot see the banker’s name since it is too small, just wait for the English scanlation for that.] Then, her father, who is with a younger woman, calls her ‘miss’, and tells her to please do not trouble him and his family because they no longer have any relationship. Much later on, Feidna caught her lover naked with another woman on the bed. Feidna exclaimed what they are doing. The lover exclaimed, “Darling, I’m sorry! I no longer love you!!” End flashback. Tears continue to fall down as Feidna clenches her fist. As if the skies are crying along with her, Feidna screams and cries in bitterness. Next chapter will be out on July 5th. Teaser for the next chapter: Lele has made progress in breakthrough the defenses of Eros’ heart that he consented into letting Lele accompany and take care of him. What path would Feidna take after she has been abandoned by her lover and her heart is broken into pieces.. [<- Let me guess, it starts with the letter E.] Scans by Blacknight@BW
Fufufu..so, I guess this is partly Lele’s revenge on him. =P Hehe, bully him while he is weak and defenseless. I like that scene because it is like good old times. I’m sure Taylor would have notice Lele’s effect on Eros. Hm..I guess it pays to peek on the neighbor at times and it is too bad that Eros is on a high when Lele confessed to him again. Good thing Leo got to him before he goes to where Lele is. ^^; When Lele unintentionally cooked Eros’ favorite food, I wonder if it is like the quote says, ‘the way to a man's heart is through his stomach’. Eros might get his wish soon of eating congee everyday and hopefully, he won’t get sick of it since right now, that is the only thing that Lele knows how to cook. =P As for Feidna, the woman is really pitiful and tragic. She was so happy, hopeful and everything when she is about to get married then it spiraled down to what she is now because of her lover’s infidelity. I wonder if what happened to her is just like what happened to the twins’ mother. Would she be admitted to the asylum soon? Actually, I hope that she can pick herself up and show those people what she is made of...those who discard her like a used rag. Well, we get to have the love part of the series back, alright.. along with the love rival. ^^;; Eros has a special attachment with Feidna so I wonder how Lele is going to go about, with this. Hm..I think it would be more interesting to see how Eros would deal with both. =P

Mei-chan no Shitsuji [Chapter 103]
Friday, June 3, 2011
Then, Mei looks at the double bed. Rihito puts his hand on her shoulder and asks her if she is unsatisfied with the room. Mei exclaims that there is no problem at all. She tells herself to calm down. She thinks that since this is a ‘lovers room’ and if it is Rihito..it should be.. Mei freaks out when Rihito whispers if she wants to take a bath or.. When Mei is completely speechless, Rihito tells her that there is a good Italian restaurant nearby so they should go. Mei is flustered over what she is thinking as if she is anticipating something and why is she heaving a sigh of relief. While eating at Bistro Shuro, Mei looks at Rihito and thinks that no wonder her butler is Rihito. Rihito asks her what it is. Mei says that it is nothing and she only thinks that this is quite good. Rihito asks what is the ‘this’ she meant. Mei says that it is like this wherein she is eating together at the same table with Rihito. “This is a first, right?” Mei makes a side remark that in Shibuya, they only manage to sit beside each other. Rihito comments that was a long time already. Thinking that Rihito would be eating gracefully, Mei says that it seems that she has not seen Rihito eat before. Rihito looks thoughtful then tells her that actually, from the time he first became a butler, it seems that this is the first time that he get to eat slowly with someone else like this. Mei is surprised by this. She apologizes to him because she didn’t notice it before. Rihito tells her that it is okay because for him, it is truly a great honor to have Mei beside him. He also tells her not to mind it because he likes working as a butler, though occasionally, times like this aren’t bad at all, either. The two smile at each other. Mei thinks that she wants to know more of the things that she doesn’t know about Rihito. While looking at the night city view by the bayside, Mei asks serious looking Rihito as to what they are going to do next. Rihito closes his eyes then asks her back as to what she wants him to do. Mei looks at him in surprise then looks away. She thinks, “I.. like this, whether it is everyone at school, grandfather, Shibata, even if I were not to see anyone of them again.. and it will always be like this.. if it is like this and I’m together with Rihito-san, then I..”
Sitting on the bed and wearing a bathrobe, Mei is looking at the city lights from the window. As a tear falls down her cheek, She thinks, “This is enough, definitely..” Rihito has also just come out of the bath. He asks her if she isn’t sleeping yet. Mei looks away and says yes. Rihito notices that Mei is wiping her tears. Rihito tells Mei that she can sleep in the bed. Mei asks, what about him. Rihito says that he’ll use the sofa in the living room. Flustered Mei pauses then exclaims, “That.. I.. it’s alright! If it is with Rihito-san.. it’s alright.. *Rihito looks at her* So.. together..” To her surprise, Rihito leans toward her and says, “Then.. I’ll be rude.. Mei-ojousama. ” [<-beg your pardon-type; being polite since he is a butler] They look at each other eyes. Mei looks at Rihito’s bare neck then she closes her eyes. Her heart is beating fast. To her shock, Rihito is already lying at the other side of the bed and tells her that staying late at night is the skin’s biggest enemy. Mei looks at him in total speechless. Then, she gives up and lies on her side of the bed. She thinks, “... Okay.. Then, we’ll just sleep like this..” Soon, Mei is sound asleep. It is about 2:25am. Rihito sits up and looks at Mei. He smiles at her before going out of the room. Throwing a blanket on the sofa, Rihito mutters that although it is fine with Mei, it isn’t alright with him. [<- he cannot just sleep beside her as if it was nothing.] He looks out the window then takes out his cellphone. He calls someone and says, “..it’s me.” Elsewhere, Kento is sitting on a chair in deep thought. Xiang comes in and calls out to him. Xiang asks why cannot make their move yet when they have already finished preparations to capture Shibata Rihito. Kento smiles at him and says, “Not yet, for the meantime, it is better to not make a [first] move yet.”
This is an uneventful chapter. It seems that Mei is still hesitating on this and Rihito knows it so he is proceeding things carefully yet flirting when he gets a chance to. =P I do wonder whom Rihito called since he doesn’t seem to be the type who’ll call someone like that. I mean, he doesn’t give an impression of being close to someone else like Kento does with the others. And, it seems unlikely that he’ll be calling Kento. Seeing Kento like that really makes me think that he has gone a long way since the start of this series. It does seem a bit out of character for him to be calm and composed like that, while calculating his moves. It makes me wonder if he knows that he is being used but he is going to use them instead. He doesn’t really look up to Kintaro and he distrusts these two butlers. Hopefully, he plays his cards right and obviously, he knows about something else like a certain White Butler around the area, perhaps? =P Scans by 17kkmh.com

Akuma to Love Song [Chapter 87]
Thursday, June 2, 2011
At the train station, Maria asks Shintaro if it would be better for her to have brought some gift. Shintaro laughs and says that there is no need for they are father-daughter. Shintaro tells her that she is nervous. Maria dismisses it as nonsense for why would she be nervous in seeing John. Shintaro tells her that it isn’t John but her papa.. Maria blushes in surprise about this. Then, they see blushing John carrying a bouquet of flowers to welcome Maria. The father-daughter look nervous as Maria accepts the flowers. Shintaro happily looks at them and thinks that they are such a sincere father-daughter. “Senpai used to be always alone but now, she also has a family. This is thanks to me who had drawn them together.” At the church, Maria’s grandma happily holds Maria’s face and asks how she has been and she has been thinking of her. Holding her hands, grandma tells Maria that when they told her that she is coming, she went to this place to cook for them. “You should come here more frequently.” Grandpa appears and tells Maria that she is mistaken about ‘home’, why is she here, instead of at their place? Maria blushes over this. While grandpa pouts, grandma tells Maria not to mind him for he is just being difficult. As Maria and her family are talking, Shintaro thinks that although there is more or less a bit of friction, but he understands because his family’s friction is greater but he hopes that Maria can replace him in creating a family circle that he doesn’t have. Soon, everyone is eating dinner. While serving the food, John tells Maria to eat more since she is thin. Maria tells him that she has been eating and her body weight is also very standard. Grandma comments, that Maria’s mother had also said that when she’s losing weight. While Maria is blushing that her mother also said that, grandma asks if she is properly eating nutritious foods and if her living expenses aren’t enough, she should tell them. To John and grandpa’s surprise, Maria declares that there is no need for them to give her money again and afterwards, she’ll give them money. Maria tells them that she wants to pay them back little by little the money that they gave her so she plans to go to work after graduation.
John tells her to stop [talking] for a while. John tensely says that there is no need for her to do this and there’s no need for her to be shy [/polite] with them if she wants to continue her studies. Maria insists that she isn’t being shy. “Before, I didn’t know that it was you guys who were taking care of me. And, also about mother’s issue, I have also totally forgotten about it. Last time, I even made everyone to experience pain so I want to compensate you guys.” Grandma tensely asks what compensate is she saying. John tells her to wait. He puts his hands on the table and asks her what kind of work she will do. Maria says that any will do. While John is in disbelief, grandpa happily says that is very good. She can go to their place and work there. She can also live together with them. Grandma seems to be happy about this idea. To their dismay, Maria bluntly rejects the idea by telling them not to spoil her. John tells her to properly think about this since this is her future. Maria asks why John is opposing when she thought that he would be happy for her. While Shintaro tries to say that is enough and calm down, John tells Maria that he wants her to do what she truly wants to do and if it is that, he will support her. While the others try to break the argument, Maria insists that she wants to return the money. John insists that isn’t what Maria truly wants to do. Maria shouts that this is what she truly wants to do for she wants to repay their kindness [/repay the favor]. John shouts that in this world, there is no one who could be called parents if they are to make their daughter repay the favor. John looks tense over his outburst as Maria and Shintaro look surprised. Maria looks flustered and runs out. Grandma tries to call Maria but Shintaro tells her that it is alright, he’ll chase after her. While running after her, Shintaro thinks that the first time he heard Maria sing, he felt her pain as if she is calling out to someone. Pain and loneliness, as if saying ‘who will come to my side’.
“My family is a broken one. Just because I wasn’t able to do the exam well, my father would lose his temper and beat up my mother. *Just when the father is about to beat the mother* I obviously was protecting mother. *Shintaro punched his father and told him to stop. He turned to his mother to ask if she is alright. Shintaro looked surprised by her expression.* But, I made mother to also become scared of me. I was abandoned but senpai still has John. I want her to know this a bit, and draw them until they are together. *sees Maria by the esplanade* If only this person can sufficiently attain happiness, I feel that I’ll also be satisfied.” Shintaro calls out to Maria and tells her to go back home. Shintaro happily tells Maria that it is an amazing thing for a father-daughter to have a quarrel and even if occasionally, one is angry.. To his surprise, Maria interrupts him and says, no, she isn’t angry. “It is because I’m happy and embarrassed. *Shintaro looks flustered at blushing Maria* I felt that my parent’s love is quite great... *covers mouth* But I was always thinking of owing money and returning the money back... Ah- how should I say it..” To her surprise, Shintaro starts singing randomly. He tells Maria that if she doesn’t know how to say it, then she should just sing it. Maria starts singing. Shintaro looks at her in surprise and thinks, “Ah- it is such a happy singing voice.” Maria is surprised to see Shintaro looking teary-eyed. She calls out to him and asks what happened. Shintaro wipes his tears and somewhat laughs it off. Shintaro feels really happy because Maria is blessedly happy but there is already nothing else that he can do, and he is once again placed outside the circle. Shintaro is surprised when Maria suddenly pulls him to her shoulder. While Shintaro tries to call out to her, Maria says that even if she doesn’t know what’s going on but he can just painfully cry and let it all out. “I am your elder sister, so at any time, I can lend you my shoulder. Always until death, I will always sing for you.” Shintaro happily cries over this. There is a scene of Maria, Shintaro and her family together. Narration: “In the end, I’m still the younger brother, right, senpai? But this is also very good because ‘family’ is a circle that cannot be severed throughout one’s lifetime.”
This family themed chapter is nice. Hehe, the focus this time around is Shintaro who will indeed be forever regarded as a ‘younger brother’ for Maria. I think he is also lucky in a way to have found a ‘new family’ who accepted him unlike his real family. Maria is indeed such a nice kid to want to repay them for their kindness even if she plans to sacrifice her future for it. It is also nice that John turned out to be a really good father. Everyone seems to be making things up for lost time. From friends to family..so is ‘love circle’, next? =P Scans by 17kkmh.com

[Free Talk: For those who read Kuroshitsuji, I think that the latest chapter, chapter 57, is awesome. Who would have thought that Lizzy has that kind of talent =P She might think she is uncute but for me, she’s totally amazing. This is better than what the girl she pretends to be. Hehe, of course, guys might like the damsel in distress type. ^^; There are a lot of nice action poses here. Anyway, this latest arc reminds me of Titanic x Zombies. ^^;;]
Somewhat nervous Anis says that this is bad because Tenjoh is serious and if this continues, it won’t end in a simple way. She thinks that it is necessary that they have to stop those two but.. Kaede volunteers that he’ll go. Anis is surprised. Then, she thinks that her body cannot keep up with the Second Awakening. Aside from that, she wonders if she has sufficient blood that he [/they] can use. Yokuto shouts that he won’t let Kaede break it apart. Yokuto summons his underlings, agents from hell. Kaede takes out his sword and exclaims as to how many Yokuto plans to call out. With a swing of his sword, Kaede disintegrates the demons. Unfazed Yokuto says that no wonder he is in Second Awakening but..didn’t he tell him that right now, his magic is limitless. Yokuto summons another huge horde of demons. Flustered Anis feels helpless and wonders what she should do as the Rose Princess. Mutsuki continues to be on the defensive against Tenjoh’s attacks. Tenjoh haughtily tells Mutsuki that’s good, for a traitor are very good at changing one’s bearing [/attitude] but.. Tenjoh manages to put his barrier seals on Mutsuki’s body to stop him from moving. Tenjoh approaches Mutsuki and grabs the chain from Mutsuki’s collar. As if preparing to strangle Mutsuki, Tenjoh urges him to repent. The barrier seal around Mutsuki’s neck crackles. Mutsuki breaks into a smile and asks, “—what is it, is it possible that you’re jealous?” Tenjoh coldly looks at him and tells him to go die. They were interrupted when Anis shouts for Tenjoh to stop. “Tenjoh-sempai and Mutsuki are ‘GOOD FRIENDS’, right --!!” Tenjoh has been petrified. Explanation: If ever Tenjoh heard that he is good friends with Mutsuki, he will be petrified for around 46 seconds. Anis mentally thought that it was effective. Just when Kaede says that Anis is stupid for doing that, Yokuto decides to take this opportunity to kill off the White Rose. Multiple serpent type demons head towards Tenjoh. Anis worriedly calls out to Tenjoh. After the attack and when the smoke clears, it is shown that Mutsuki had protected Tenjoh. Yokuto is utterly shock. Tenjoh comments that Mutsuki is really such a guy who gives Anis headaches for his treachery turned out to be nothing. Mutsuki somewhat ‘hmph’ smiles over this. Just when Anis wonders, ‘Could it be..’, Tenjoh asks Mutsuki if he can take action in accordance to this opportunity. Mutsuki says yes. The two rush towards Yokuto and seals him using the ‘Rozenkruez vor Folter’ [Rose Cross Prison] with the use of Tenjoh’s seals and Mutsuki’s strings. The wind blows as Anis thinks that was amazing.
Suddenly, Anis sees Tenjoh and Mutsuki standing in front of her. Tenjoh says that they are not sure if it will go smoothly or not. Mutsuki says ya, who knew.. Anis asks if the two of them.. could it be that it is for this.. Irked Tenjoh says that something unexpected happened and that dog’s Second Awakening and honestly, it is such a loss. [<- I’m not sure if he meant it isn’t powerful enough or he didn’t want Kaede to achive Second Awakening. I think it is the latter =P] Kaede angrily asks what he just said. Anis calls out to Mutsuki. Mutsuki says that he cannot lie. Somewhat holding Anis’ hair, Mutsuki tells her, “If I can snatch you away, even if it is this kind of betrayal, it doesn’t matter, (if it is enough to snatch away your love) but, *smiles* I still need to spend some time to give it a try.” Anis looks flustered and says, “Mut..suki.. (Really made.. me worry..) You..” Sparkling with a pained smile, Tenjoh insists that he was serious in killing Mutsuki for saying that he’s jealous and it really puts him in a bad mood. Anis thinks that Tenjoh is perplexed. Kaede calls out to the Black Rose. Kaede is going to punch him but ends up just lightly hitting Mutsuki’s elbow. Kaede smiles and says that thanks to him, he [Kaede] had become determined [/filled with resolve]. When Mutsuki is about to say something, a voice called out as to how dare Mutsuki betray his brother, betraying his love. He will teach him a lesson using thousands of blades, ‘Kill him..!’. Mutsuki looks surprised when all sorts of bladed weapons appear from his collar. Just when the blades are slicing his neck, Mutsuki quickly removes the collar before they cause serious damage. Anis worriedly calls out to him. Tenjoh says that during the fight, he had helped remove the magic..because Mutsuki is his property, and in the end, a surprise attack is the most effective. Yokuto manages to free himself from the seal. He angrily asks why, why doesn’t Kuesu understand his love, for their Dark Stalker’s world. Serious Mutsuki asks if he is wrong. “Do not push unto me your desire, I have my own desire. (From my lost memories, a very gentle older brother *Yokuto’s former self* , Rose contract that is filled with contradictions *Yokuto massacred everyone*, a mad world *Kuesu killing Yokuto with his bare hands* And perhaps, what I wish-- is to have another outcome. But if there is only destruction, wherein I can save everything) In accordance to my wish, I’ll defeat you..!! (no matter how many times, I will dirty these hands.)” Serious looking Anis shouts to Mutsuki that this time around, they are all there. “Go!” So, the three Rose Knights attack Yokuto. Narration: “I want to change fate into wish [/desire]. Despair into hope. That is what I— as Rose Princess ought to do--” Anis seems to be in pain as she is breathing hard. Blurb: “Mutsuki has decided on his past, what awaits them again is..”
And so, Mutsuki turns out to be just testing things with his brother if he is a lost cause or not, and at the same time, at least he knows where that machine is located. I do wonder if Mutsuki is deliberately acting weak against Tenjoh so that Tenjoh can break the magic seal from the collar. It is kind of silly that Anis will use that ‘petrify Tenjoh technique’ here. ^^; Well, all is well and I begin to wonder if we really should be expecting a traitor here or not. From the blurb, I think it is another Fake Rose down, and hm..two more to go + Schwartz? Ah..after that, the end? ^^;; Scans by AMH字幕組.
