Just when I was relieved that Hawkeye survived Gluttony, it turned out that I should be worrying about the other characters in FMA. ^^;;; I’m still downloading the final pages since the server seemed to be quite slow or something. Anyway, Ling told Al that there is a fight somewhere if he wanted to go. Al decided to go since it involves the murderer of Hughes. Winry made Al promise that he is coming back safe and sound.
At the battle site, Envy is losing against Lan Fan who was able to know who Envy was no matter who/what he transform into. Meanwhile, Hawkeye had already used up all of her bullets and was about to be eaten by Gluttony when Black Hayate [her dog] came to help distract Gluttony. Huey came and toss a gun to Hawkeye. Then, they had used up all their bullets. In a nick of time, Roy came to help them out by blasting Gluttony out the window.
Just as Envy called out to Gluttony to help him, Gluttony fell on him. Then, he quickly changed into a dog to escaped but Lan Fan managed to find him immediately and corner him. Soon, Ling and Al saw Envy who changed back to human form after Lan Fan hit him with a short ninja knife. [Don’t know what it is called] Al was surprised and saw the symbol of the Homoculus at Envy’s thigh. Ling noticed that there is something strange about Envy’s body as Envy and Gluttony prepares to defeat them. That is until Ling learned from Lan Fan that no matter how many times Envy was killed, he was still alive. I love the look of Ling and Lan Fan [even if she is wearing a mask] as they figured out that it is the one they are looking for – everlasting body. Hehehe
Back at the tower, Huey noted that they have to go after the target, Barry’s human body. Roy in the car with Hawkeye met with Havoc. Farman would stay behind with Huey and Black Hayate. Al came by and wanted to join them for they are after those who responsible for Hughes’ death. They follow Barry who can sense his own body. Al told them that they are after Homoculus and they are hard to kill as demonstrated by Greed.
They went to a hospital. After distracting the other people there, they got into the basement. They split up – Hawkeye with Al and Roy with Havoc. Roy and Havoc managed to find a jail with lot of laboratory stuff. Mmm..I just remembered that the hospitals here tend to put their mental institutions at the basement. I wonder if it is the same with other hospitals and if it is, maybe this is where the homoculus people get their ‘victims’. Then, Lust appeared telling them that she hasn’t expected them to go this far.
Havoc was shocked to see ‘Solaris’/Lust there and they saw her homoculus sign on her chest. Roy asked if she knew Hughes. She said she did but she didn’t kill him. Roy started to shoot her but she regenerates herself and even showed them how it is done. She had a philosopher’s stone inside her chest. Roy told Havoc that behind the door is their secret and Lust had told them this important thing because she plans to kill them. Havoc sighs that he has no luck with women.
Roy was about to use his ‘fire’ glove when Lust wrecked a tube on top and spilled water on him. ^^;; They quickly went outside then Roy somewhat ignited the surrounding water as Havoc throws his lighter inside. It blew up. Sorry, I don’t quite get how that happened. Havoc laments that the lighter is not a wreck – a gift from his ex-girlfriend. They looked around the place to see if she is dead but Roy somewhat doubts it. Then, Havoc got stabbed by Lust who was still regenerating. Argh...no...I somewhat like that guy and Lust said there is no hope for him.
*finishes downloading* Roy immediately fired a gun at Lust and took the philosopher’s stone from her chest, hoping to save Havoc with it. Roy walked towards Havoc when suddenly, the philospher’s stone reacts and formed back Lust [in front of him] then stabbed Roy. Noooo!!! Wah! I have bad feelings about this. I hope Roy won’t become a guinea pig or something...the homoculus did mentioned that Roy is a good sacrifice, the same goes with Edward. Argh..have to wait for a month to know what happened next. I broke my rule not to get too attach to the characters in this series...sigh, I did like Hughes and his death was a shock to him. Now, I’m worried about Al and Hawkeye.
I got to see some Jap scans of GB. It does seem that the two are now sporting winter clothes. Ban looked cool while Ginji looked younger in his. I’m not sure if he is still wearing shorts but from the top, it won’t suit him so I hope he is on pants. Kadz fought with a certain huge bald guy and well, he is in a qui pao [Chinese dress] ^^;; He should be a girl. I’m thinking he just disguised himself as a girl. Anyway, there was also a short ender of the how Midou got to become Ban-chan from a blog. Hehehe That was fun. The art had really changed and I’m not quite used to it yet especially Ginji’s, unless he becomes tare-ginji.
In Naruto, the whole episode is the huge frog that Naruto summoned trying to get him off. ^^;; And, a bit on the Sand clan’s purpose for joining the contest. In Gseed, Natarle had decided to stop following loony’s orders and they fought. Natarle got the others to escape and managed to stall the attack as loony kept on shooting her. She wasn’t able to stop him from shooting once, which had killed Mwu who tried to save his ship. Ramius got angry and destroyed loony’s ship. By this time, I think the three loonies are also dead though I only saw two being ripped. So, that stopped the Earth Alliance and now, to stop the Coordinator group operating that satellite weapon.
Just when I thought the Taiwanese channel will finish showing Inu Yasha to the end, I saw that they are already replacing it with GB. That is surprising since a different Taiwanese channel is already showing it though not yet finished. I’m guessing that Inu Yasha will finish where the last Dearest ending was shown. I thought they would have gone past that since they had advertised the Naraku spider and based on the summaries site, it should have gone way pass to a new opening and ending. Oh well...

Nothing much happened in GSeed but saying their last goodbyes before the final showdown. Anthrun-Cagalli [Olga]’s love scene is the best for me among the others. Hehehe...but then, they did get to be in the GSeed-Destiny. Hehehe Just like in GWing, the antagonists just can’t wait to blast Earth and wreck it.
In Naruto, Jiraiya let Naruto do all the things he liked and then pushed him off the cliff to force out the nine-tailed fox’s chakra. Naruto successfully brought out a huge summon frog.
I managed to find the latest summaries of Fruit Basket. Out of curiosity what’s happening there. Mm..I doesn’t seem to have missed much from where I left it before but then, I’m getting confused with some of the names. ^^; Yuki has become mature and I was thinking if he would end up with the new girl in the student council as Kyo and Tohru are getting more closer even though Kyo fears it. The new characters in the student council are pretty interesting. Hehehe
I finally finished watching Yanpapa. It wasn’t as satisfying as Good Luck! So, the kids’ father came back but then, he turned out to be after their money. Then, the lead got a US job offer, the kids forced him to go and after two years, he came back for them. The end. It is somewhat unbelievable for a young guy who just married for a day to be truly responsible for the children of his deceased wife. His ex-classmate decided to wait for him but the ending had an American secretary for the lead. That wasn’t necessary. It was also somewhat hinted that the rebellious teen also likes him. In other words, they left that open. Then, do they have to do that aunt-falling-down-the-stairs-again? It happened thrice already and it isn’t even funny or anything. Even the ending of the short ‘heroic knight’ anime isn’t that good.
Well, mom had returned the cds to cousin. I had researched the site that the cds are recorded from. I look at the titles and then, asked cousin if she has the ones that are interesting. Hehehe Mom said that cousin just watch the ones she like and usually send all of it to her friend in the US. That is one lucky friend. ^_^ Anyway, as noted by cousin, it can be quite addictive.

I did turn out that the baseball games shown on Taiwanese channels are the ones being played by Taiwan. No anime yesterday. In Gseed, the Earth alliance courtesy of blond loony who got the data from Raww that they have some nuclear weapons. They used it to attack Zaft [coordinator] bases and Zaft counterattack with a huge satellite weapon reminisce of the ones used in Gundam Wing. In short, they are killing each other courtesy of what Raww had always dreamt about. Lacus and the others tried to stop the two from killing each other. Three more episodes to go.
I thought Samurai Deeper Kyo was good but it wasn’t. It was somewhat corny way of trying to tell history lessons in Japan. The bad guy was after Kyo’s body and it turned out that Kyo and Kyoshiro is just one person. Then, they have to warp themselves into modern Japan and wreck Tokyo Tower [I’m guessing it is the favorite infrastructure to be destroyed in anime/manga ^^; ] In the end, closed eye monk fought with girly guy in some war while Kyoshiro, I think it is him, lived with almost useless Yuya, the gunslinger. About that ‘I think it is him’, you see, Kyo and Kyoshiro fought. Kyo is back with his body and the one shown at the end was Kyoshiro’s body. They are covering the face. Yuya was carrying a medicine box, which Kyoshiro has but then, it seemed to be Kyo’s smile at the end. ^^; I think I’ll go research on this as to what happened in the manga. Overall, it was one confusing history lesson with so many characters – most bad guys are dead but the good guys who later on wanted to kill each other, are alive.
Edit: Well, Kyo is the one alive. I guess that makes sense since the title is his name and almost the whole episode had him so it wouldn’t be nice/fair if he wasn’t the one who lived at the end. ^^;; Kyo just re-possessed Kyoshiro’s body. I guess Yuya is just doing the medicine thingie somewhat as a tribute for Kyoshiro.
Edit 2: Ah...I guess it depends on the viewer for it is open-ended. ^^;;
I’m somewhat regretting that I watched Good Luck! First than Yanpapa. Yanpapa is bordering into becoming really corny. The lead is a manga assistant who feel for a famous mangaka. On the day of their wedding, she died and the assistant felt it is his responsibility to show her three kids from another man that their mother loved them by becoming their maid. The three kids [a rebellious girl teen, a nerd pre-teen girl and a spoiled brat boy] aren’t making it easier. As of episode 6, he managed to make them like him until the prospect of he might re-marry someone else that they kicked him out of the house again. ^^;
The most corny part is the mangaka had a look-alike roaming around. She is the aunt of the classmate of the kid brat. That is really unbelievable. And, there is an old classmate of the assistant who always helped him and had fallen for him. The fun part is the short anime-like adventures of a cute knight and his men. ^_^ It somewhat reflects what the assistant is going through. And, the small anime company where he works, seemed to have animated Chobits, Rave and Getbackers since there are posters of those anime on the wall. I’m not sure if it is randomly posting or it is the real company.
The lead is familiar and if I’m not wrong, member of the group Tokio which also sang the ending song. A site said he is the leader but then, I do remember him as the drummer. *shrugs* I have seen him in a different drama – a teen with special powers helping a woman detective in crimes. The mangaka is the woman in the soap that my mom wasn’t able to watch the ending. Mmm...this is the second time she played a woman wherein a younger man had fallen for her.

It turned out that Naruto was pre-empted by the Olympics today. ^^; All the three Taiwanese channels are showing baseball, which I think is their own team. I didn’t look intently. ^^; Anyway, in Gseed, Fflay got retrieved by loony team and loony leader became more crazy after looking at the disk which Fflay had. Kira is again in a daze for failing to rescue Fflay and then, everything he had just learned finally got absorbed. Lacus was there to comfort him.
I finally able to get a summary of what’s happening in GB manga. The new arc is about Voodoo Child and that means, it centers on Himiko’s descent. I wonder if this will be the last arc since the ‘day that finally came’ is being mentioned again. It seemed that the ‘day’ means Himiko’s birthday. Then, GB realized that their new client is Akabane. Very interesting as Masaki is still spying on them from Mugenjou.
Xenosaga is somewhat interesting. I’m not really fond of space themed. The ‘ghosts’ called Genosis somewhat reminded me of the ‘monsters’ in the FF movie. This is quite a complicated plot. I forgot how many parts of this game are. There are a lot of movie scenes here but then, I’m not complaining. So far, the mecha isn’t that interesting as in Xenogears.

I thought I won’t be able to watch KnGB since the Taiwanese channel was showing Olympics but it was nice that they stopped the broadcast for anime. Hehehe In KnGB, Gash had decided to become king of the demon world so as to stop making ‘nice’ demons from fighting...okay, stop the fighting. From a website, I read that the contest to be demon king was done on human world in order that their world won’t be wrecked by all the fighting. ^^;; But then, it is a good idea. Anyway, Takamine was able to know a new magic spell but when they tried it out on some mountain area, nothing happened.
A clown demon with his master had found them and wanted to challenge them. Gash decided that he had to stop this clown from becoming king since he was very mean and evil. They managed to lure the clown and the guy to an abandoned building so that nobody would get hurt. It is here when they found out that the new spell actually makes something ‘magnetized’ which in this case is the clown. He became a magnet and got stuck at a water tank. They used this opportunity to burn his book. It was after that, that Gash had decided to become stronger to become ‘tender’ king and Takamine will help him achieve it.
I was glancing at GB to know where it is already in the Taiwanese channel when I realized that it is already about a year when this is being shown. It made me think that if the local dub of Inu Yasha will show up to the end of the series, it will take two years since it is only every Saturdays. I read from a site that IY will end this year. The anime will end on September and the manga later on. Mmmm..does that mean that the anime’s ending will not be the same as the manga’s. I’m now wondering if the Taiwanese channel will show up to the end. It is currently at 50+ episodes. At 10 episodes per week, they will be at about 100 by September and 150 by October. That would be surpassing what is currently being shown in Japan, which is already at 162th episode and it is only once a week. Hopefully, they dub fast by that time, they would have about plenty of time to catch up.
In Skip Beat!, it wasn’t that exciting of a chapter but just decided that Ren and Kyoko had confirmed wanting to do the drama after a little problems. The drama director somewhat reminds me of the ‘monkey’ in Fruit Basket. He seemed hyper as in easily excited and somewhat feminine. ^^;; Hard to explain.
I manage to download DN30. I’m trying not to be spoiled so I don’t read the available translations. It was okay and the cliffhangers aren’t that bad anymore, I guess. But then, reading on new scanlations got me a bit spoiled. ^^; Anyway, I even downloaded the parody. It was one twisted story – some scenes are pretty amusing. Short Raito reminded me of Dexter in Dexter’s Laboratory. I think it is somewhat of a crossover or a different mangaka doing the one-shot. The problem is that the story/dialogues doesn’t seem to lead anywhere or maybe it is just showing that mangaka’s version of certain DN scenes. Hehehe
There seemed to be a lot of motorcycle themed Taiwanese drama lately. Last night, I was able to see a ‘view’ of a Japanese somewhat bsho motorcycle biker. Hehehe...he looked better now with spiky hair than long hair. Anyway, his name is Norick. Poor guy, as the girl host and whom I think is Vic Chow teased him for not slurping his noodles loudly = not Japanese. ^^;; I wondered why Vic was there though..could Norick be the one doing the motorbike stunts in MARS? Anyway, later on, they talked about some stuff, which costs a lot, etc. The last scene was showing off Norick’s very beautiful red sports car, I like. ^_^ Lucky girl host, she got to sit in it as he drove her around. It is to be continued. Well, that is what I able to watch since I only caught the ending of MARS – not that I would want to follow this religiously. From last week preview, it was just some other artist trying to plagiarize the lead’s work. Next episode is about the lead guy’s twin who, I think, committed suicide. It seems weird seeing two Vic Chows. ^^;;
 Saturday, August 14, 2004 @ 02:04 p.m.
In Naruto, it is more on trainings of the cast for the next contests as Naruto is still summoning tadpoles with hind legs now. Sakura and Ino visisted the missing Sasuke and Lee. There sure are a lot of Sasuke bitten by Orochimaru flashbacks coming from Sakura. ^^;;
In Gseed, well, Mwu wasn’t that shock after learning that Raww is his father’s clone but then Kira did snapped out of it after being told that he was the ultimate coordinator and his other weaker siblings are sacrificed. This is explained in details at the game MGS1. While remembering that, I think Raww’s mentality is basically the same as Liquid Snake’s – the defective one and boy, he wasn’t happy about that. On top of this in MGS1, they are all clones of some bad guy. Mm..that is also in Suikoden 3 about cloning.
Anyway, Raww escaped when his mask was removed. He went back to his ship looking for his drugs. Then, he decided to send Fflay with the disk to the loony’s ship. [ Gomen, I’m lazy to look for the names but they are from the Earth Alliance] Kira joined the fight to help Anthrun. This reminds me of GW. ^^;; The final fight is in space and it seemed that those who will die will die in this battle.
I had finished Good Luck! As suspected, the doctors will say that Shinkai, the lead, can never be a pilot again but then, obviously that won’t be long for his girlfriend mechanic reminding him of his promise that he will fly her one day. Shinkai then doing a ‘Lee’ of Naruto and worked hard and even took that surgery which could risk him the chance of ever walking again. In the end, he finally able to pass simulation test and will have a real flying test. He took this chance to bring his girlfriend for it might be the last time he would ever fly.
In the meantime, Koda, the cyborg, is in a guilty spree that he wanted to take responsibility of the accident by quitting. Shinkai wouldn’t let him and told him to take responsibility for him – teach him all he knows until Shinkai finally becomes a pilot. Currently, he is just a co-pilot. So, on the trip to Hawaii, Koda was the examiner and they got to fly together. I already know who is the jinx in this story. It was the mechanic if she is nearby something always happens. ^^;; A passenger had left his shaver in the lavatory and it caused a power short that made the whole cabin without light. They couldn’t fix it without tools. In the end, Shinkai just told the passengers to look out the window to look at the sun rise and everyone had calmed down.
They landed safely and Shinkai passed his last test. Koda thanked him for reminding him of the joy of flying as Shinkai has no regret over the accident for it made me realize how he love to fly. After Shinkai left, Koda met with his ex-gf stewardess and told her that they would have a vacation together. The ex-gf was thrilled for she had waited 12 years for him to get over the accident before. I somewhat like their love team. ^_^ And Shinkai finally had his first kiss with the mechanic. Hehehe The Korean stalker had already moved out but then, continues to stalk him as a stewardess hehehe She fondly calls him Shou-chan. Overall, this is a nice feel good drama.
I took a peek over Yan Papa. The title turned out to mean Young Father. Okay...the appearance looked old – not that clear and looking new like Good Luck! So far, no bsho and the subtitles are huge, like Chinese subtitles. The job of the lead is a mangaka assistant. Hehehe..so a glimpse of the life of a mangaka. Going home in the morning and since he was clumsy, got shouted at for the ink he had spilled on somebody’s else work. I wondered who was the one shouting – an editor/manager? Just like the one in Gravitation, the one pressuring Yuki to finish his work? Anyway, I have to wait when mom has time to watch the first episode to determine if she will watch all or just watch the last part just like in Good Luck! Hehehe, she tends to like heavy drama series like Four Sisters, Love Letter, etc. Of course, she also needs to ‘like’ the lead. ^^;;
Hehehe...I’m re-discovering Inu Yasha. I like the art, the colors and the Japanese seiyuu voices. Hehehe I’m wondering why Kagome always have to wear her school uniform when going to the feudal world. ^^; Wouldn’t it be better to wear jeans so that she won’t get hurt to easily if she fall down or something? ^^; Anyway, it was fun to watch and usually the continuation is for two episodes and the Taiwanese channel is showing two episodes per day on weekdays. I think I wrote before the problem is the Japanese dub is late at night.
 Friday, August 13, 2004 @ 11:38 a.m.
I’m beginning to think that the tw channel didn’t use the new song for the new opening since the lyrics doesn’t seem to jive also the scenes in the opening. Anyway, Gaara rip mummy guy. The referee Hayate also got rip while spying on Kabuto and Baki. After more pestering of Jiraiya, Naruto was able to convince him to teach him about summoning frogs. Naruto just manages to call up small tadpoles.
In Gseed, lots more fighting. I guess Kira evaded the attacks or Anthrun helped him. Natarle and the others have to back off since they are on the defensive also the three loonies are out of control since they had used up lots of energy. Kira suspect that they are not ordinary naturals. Meanwhile, Mwu and Miguel fought against Raww and Yzak. Raww was hinting that Mwu couldn’t defeat him since the child could never defeat parent and that it was meant for the two of them to fight. Mwu’s gundam crashed and he was injured by a metal shrapnel. Kira saved him from Raww. Raww then went to some abandoned ‘baby’ factory and was chased by the two. Raww kept on saying that it would be appropriate for them to know about ‘things’ before they die.
Mwu then got shot again and Kira managed to follow Mwu. Oh ya, Mwu had to point out to Kira that he have to remove the safety pin of the gun. It is a wonder that he can operate a gundam and not a simple gun. Maybe not in his training, if there was a training. Anyway, Raww tossed some documents to them which included a picture of baby Kira and Cagalli + Mwu and his father. They wondered how it got there. Outside, Miguel and Yzak are talking about the reason to fight as Miguel told Yzak that it was as if Zaft is bent on destroying all the naturals. Back at the ship, Fflay was musing over the ‘key’ disc, which Raww gave her.
I had finished Suikoden 3. I forgot to mention that it turned out Yuber had mismatch colored eyes. Funny that I noticed it only at the end. ^^;; hehehe The love story is more on Luc and Sarah than what was in the opening. The opening anime was animated by Gonzo. No wonder it was really good. I realized that the girl whose hair is blown by the wind was Chris. I thought it was one of Hugo’s group. Hehehe I was going to continue Xenosaga where I left off before but I realized that I had forgotten the ‘controls’ and the way around the ship. I guess I had to re-do this one.
 Thursday, August 12, 2004 @ 01:58 p.m.
To sum up the two episodes of Gseed, Anthrun wasn’t able to convince his father to give up the fight so ended up getting shot by his dad. He was rescued by Lacus’ people and together, they escaped using the Sala’s newly made ship. Then, they met up with Kira and the others. Natarle became captain for the 3 loony pilots and their ‘trainer’. I had to admit she is good that she managed to pin down Kira. Anthrun was busy helping the other ship free from some docking chain. Mwu had ‘sensed’ that Raww is nearby. Hehehe..having to sense the other guy can be quite slashable..much like with Ban and Ginji. ^^;;
Ban: Hey!
It was a new opening in Naruto but the song is the same. I somewhat like the part where the sensei are making poses and at the side, are their students. Also the last scene wherein the three leads + sensei are running. The visuals are okay and the ‘tragic’ kids past are also there. Amazingly, they showed the full second ending. I’m waiting for the third Viva Rock ending. Hehehe I want to see it again. I think there are some fillers here of Jiriya in some woman chasing scenes and finally removed Naruto’s Orochimaru’s seal.
I have only two episodes left in Good Luck! Mom wanted to watch the last two episodes. It is her way of just wanting to know the ending of series if she couldn’t watch it. She doesn’t like the lead who is goofy looking. Ya, he is a bit goofy looking but somewhat cute type of handsome. I researched a bit and realized that he is in some of the Jap dramas that I didn’t watch. He looked thinner before but much better now. It turned out that Takuya Kimura is/used to be a SMAP guy. No wonder he looked familiar.
As I wrote before, the story is more on about the work life of pilots, stewardesses and mechanics. Boy, they sure are dedicated. There are some nice scenes/plots. The lead likes a mechanic who fears flying since her parents died in a plane accident wherein ‘cyborg’ sempai pilot was suppose to fly thus making him quite strict and broke up with a stewardesses. In episode 8, all of that is more or less solved then they created a new problem. The lead got into an accident that indirectly caused by the mechanic and the ‘cyborg’ pilot. I was thinking that these two might be jinxed or something. I do hope he isn’t had handicapped or something since he really loves to fly. I guess that would mean more guilt-tripping for ‘cyborg’.
I do like ‘cyborg’s voice hehehe...very deep and nice. I also find the lead’s Korean-stalker-neighbor who kept on ‘pretending’ that they are ex-lovers and calls him Sou-chan. Hehehe Overall, I like this drama and it seemed that this one is a high rating drama in Japan when it was shown.
I am now at the prologue of Suikoden 3 which is the viewpoint of the ‘antagonists’ Hehehe...got to play Yuber. Very few people died in this series and the ones I like did manage to survive. I do wonder if they are in the fourth one. I was thinking of playing Xenosaga next.
 Tuesday, August 10, 2004 @ 11:12 a.m.
If the latest chapter on Naruto is fighting among two ‘best’ friends, in OP, it is the same. Luffy won’t back out on his fight with Usopp. Then, Sanji started to blame Zoro for not finishing of the Frankies when he had a chance. Nami stopped those two from quarrelling as she thought that their group is falling apart. When night came, Luffy fought with Usopp. He had the upper hand until he had hurt Usopp who was still bleeding. He felt sorry and Usopp took this to advantage and kept on attacking Luffy, which ended with a huge explosion. Both of them are angry. I highly doubt that Usopp will be back to the crew after all this. As the water slashed on Going Merry, it looked like it is crying.
In Gseed, well, Lacus is trying to bring peace to the people by asking why the heck are they fighting. Those who are fighting are of course called her a traitor and wanted to kill her. Raww, Fflay and Yzak are going to space to fight, I guess. Fflay kept on thinking that Raww is her father. ^^;; Then, Cagalli already told Kira that they are siblings. Ya, they are twins as Anthrun noted. Anthrun will be going back to have a talk with his father.
The Four Sisters is now in a cycle of hate. The father died of an heart attack while trying to tell others what really happened. The sisters and mother blamed the guy for the death. The second sister couldn’t forgive herself for not listening to her father and couldn’t forgive the one who caused the death – her lover. Ironically, the two groups hate each other but the real root cause of what happened is not being blamed. It was the father’s friend. He was there when the father was having a heart attack. He didn’t help him because it will ‘save’ him from being prosecuted over what had happened. Since there are no witnesses, he is scot-free unless they investigated fingerprints [the father grabbed the other guy’s hand] and stuff but this isn’t a detective drama.

Last Saturday night, we went to a party. It is to commemorate my grandmother’s death anniversary even if a week had past already. ^^; It was another surprise party wherein most people knew of it on the day itself. Good thing that the two tables are more or less filled but they ordered too much food. We are still eating the leftovers but gave the rest to the workers.
We also went to a mall yesterday but nothing much happened there that is worth telling about. I wasn’t able to record Omnyouji 2 because the tape ran out for the ending so I guess I have to watch for the rerun. Opps..from site, no rerun. ^^;; Wowow will show Internal Affairs. I would have to drag mom to watch it, too since there will be no Chinese subtitles, only Japanese. It showed Grudge 2 and I was too scared to watch the climax that I missed what had happened. I couldn’t get mom to be ‘my eyes’ like before. I only saw the ending wherein the lead who was pregnant was looking at child-Sadako looking girl. ^^; The girl was holding a book which could have been a diary – a blood stained diary. Then, the lead died. That’s it.
I was thinking that the ‘woman’ managed to have fresh victims since the movie crew are shooting at the house. Then, wherever the lead went, there is always a black circular ink stain on the tatami mats. The spooky part I saw was when the director was photocopying the diary. Then, all of a sudden, the copier is running by itself – showing all black pictures until it forms into a woman [Sadako type] The guy freaked out and quickly shut the machine. There is also a part wherein those ink stains is actually like a hole where ‘Sadako’ woman can go out from. Then, she haunted the woman by showing past scenes probably from the part one then after a long non-watching, she is lying on the bottom stairs of a pedestrian walk trying to give child-‘Sadako’ her scarf and died. That woman was pregnant so I guess the kid she carries is her by how she grew big already, I don’t know. Until this is rerun again, I’ll know for sure.
It is back to Chinese dub in Gash Bell and it was quite a difficult decision that Takamine had to do. There was this new girl, which can make her into a monster if someone reads from the book. The girl teen who got her wanted her as her friend since her parents are always busy with work. It somewhat reminded me of GTO and other similar stories. In the end, Takamine had to ‘release’ her by burning the book so that she will no longer be a monster. Gash vowed to stop all these fighting.
A cousin had lend me some Jap drama. Based from watching one series, it seemed that the subtitles are the same as people who does anime from the internet. Anyway, the first one is called Good Luck. It is about pilots and stewardesses and well, the mechanic. I think the newbie pilot is going to fall for the female mechanic. It is more of a comedy-romance. It seemed good. The lead looked awfully familiar – was he in Waterboys? The dolphin coach in Waterboys is in this series. The other one is titled YanPapa[?], not quite sure what that is about.
I managed to watch ah..I think it is already episode 3 of MARS. It is okay, I guess. It seemed to be about two guys likes a girl artist and then, there is the antagonist girl who is so ‘love’ with the lead that she is willing to do everything to destroy the girl. Of course, the two lead are in love with each other. I think I need to read the plot of this one. I had already forgotten what Unicorn told me about this. ^^; The lead is of course, Big S while the guy is Vic Chow who somewhat reminded me of Jerry in this series because of the bad boy image. At least, it seemed that his acting improved. He isn’t that stiff anymore. The ending song was by the two leads. It won’t be long when this will be shown on local tv. I wonder which channel will get this. Hehehe
Speaking of Jerry, the guy must have made an album. He had an ad about a necklace that might be in a music video. It was written that it was his song, which was used. MARS advertisements are mostly what F4 is sponsoring like Pepsi. They have a new ad on Pepsi, which is fantasy. All the Chinese artists who sponsor Pepsi are all dressed up in fantasy style and are doing all sorts of magic acts to get the can of Pepsi in some sort of coliseum arena contest.

There are still more fighting in Gseed but then, they [protagonists] are on the losing end. The ‘captain’ decided to get the younger ones to another place and he with some crew self-destruct the base. I think it is that the captain must sink with his ship thing but I was thinking wouldn’t it be better if they just left with the others and fight another day than commit ‘suicide’? Unless of course, there is one flaw in their design of the self-destruct button. There is no timer and had to be manual pushed. Hehehe So, it was revealed the captain aside from being Cagalli’s father is also Kira’s father so the two are siblings. I tend to think they are fraternal twins since the picture shown of them are two babies of the same ages. Wonder who is older...maybe Cagalli, I’m guessing.
I got lucky yesterday while playing Suikoden 3. I managed to ‘kill’ Yuber in the strategy fights without going to Sarah yet. Hehehe I am now on the showdown. I used Hugo as the flame champion. I have a tendency to play someone I hate first and maybe if I’m going to play again, the ones I like better. Now, I’m thinking if I should play a different game and go back on this one in the future. ^^;
It is a bit hard to kill Yuber [the ‘twin’ of Akabane] because I kind of like the character but then, he is the bad guy so...^^; The story doesn’t seem to be that good as the second one. The first part is a background over the setting and what is happening between the different groups. The second part is getting the three runes and bonding to fight a new enemy. The third part is the runes being stolen and they are going to get it back. The end. I hope the fourth Suikoden has a better story that is coming out either this year or the next.

In Gseed, Anthrun helped Kira fought off the three new gundams which later on back off, since they needed more drugs. I think they almost got crazy a bit that they are fighting each other. Sorry, I was watching two shows at the same time. ^^; Anyway, the two friends met and I guess make up with each other which made Cagalli very happy. I guess Mirillia had already cooled off or she might want to kill Anthrun for killing her boyfriend. She was standing near Miguel so I guess those two had also patched up with each other. The three pilots are going to the offensive again.
In Four Sisters, the basic plot was already shown today. So, the guy knows that his mother is alive and he was ready to forgive that until he caught a nurse injecting something to her, which is to make her stay in comatose. I have no idea why they do that as in if they want to keep her being alive a secret, they should at least kill her and bury her somewhere else. Why keep her alive? The one who operated on her lied to the guy by saying that his guardian [the father of the 4 sis] was the one who made the mistake. So, now the guy just have to rain on the father’s parade after getting an award as he claims that he didn’t save his mother.
Interesting enough, they are using the instrumental music of Suteki Da Ne [FFX] in some scenes. I thought it was from the neighboring building, which had been playing pirated cds. I even listened carefully in the speakers of the television and try muting if it is really from that show.
Ban: Your mother must have thought you had gone loony.
^^;; I just couldn’t believe it. So, I guess this one is made somewhere when FFX was just being released in Korea. Also, the second sis cellphone strap is a cute [but I think it is a tad big for a cellphone strap] hamster that if I recall correctly, there is an anime about such a hamster. I don’t know the title but it is a kiddie anime. I begin to wonder if Jap manga/anime are getting in Korea now because before, I read that the Korean government is still sore over the war before. Well, the young generation aren’t that much concern over the past – just like here and maybe also in China.
Add: After surfing a while, I do notice that a lot of people still saying Bleach is great. I had stopped in volume 7 and somehow I’m not really into buying more just to know what Ichigo and the others do to save Rukia – not that interested. ^^; It is already licensed hence, no more scanlations. I do read that it will be made into an anime so if ever it will be shown, I guess I would follow the story from there...hopefully, it is as good as the manga – not badly altered.
In HxH, they are still in the bug world and a note on Killua’s somewhat personality which made me thought he is schizophrenic was actually a needle from his bro hypnotizing him to run away. Killua just removed it literally from his brain. I just read the sum for the art is still really bad but then, it was from the start. ^^; The anime is much better. I stayed up late just to listen to their jap va. I don’t like it too much though.
I didn’t know that Gantz is already animated, too. From the manga covers, it looked cool but based on the summary, it is the type that makes one’s brain ache. I guess much like what I heard of MPD Psycho. There are also a bit of naked scenes. There is a scanlation of it out already though but I’m not quite sure if I would want to read it yet. As for D. Grayman, based on the cover, the kid hero looke cool but when I downloaded a few pages [Chinese], the art really made me stop from downloading any further. ^^;

Hehehe, Raito can be quite devious. The cliffhangers are really good. I had finished reading what has been scanlated so far. Can’t wait to read the rest of Death Note. The latest one is fun. Hehehe...the girl must have really liked him or well, bored with her life and wanted him to be his girlfriend. Of course, Raito won’t pass on a chance to ‘use’ her. It would be fun to read as to how far the ‘pretending’ goes since he is an A student and she is in the gothic Lolita look. His mother wouldn’t approve. So, it is now 4 chapters behind the Japanese release.
In Gseed, a lot of war again since one group wanted to be pacifist. It was just an excuse by the ‘new wannabe be head’ to use their new ms. With three new lunatic pilots out to wreak havoc, it would be natural for Anthrun to help since he is looking for a cause to fight and also Miguel who just got out. I think he somewhat bonded with Miriallia and might want to help them. So, former enemies grouped together to fight a new enemy.
I don’t watch DCQ anymore since it didn’t quite got my interest. Maybe it is the art ^^; Detective anime is more fun if it is in movie style. Speaking of movie, there are now talks that FF7:AC might be shown in the theaters. Ohh...hope it will be shown here..even if it well, dubbed. I can’t figure it out but I am baring to watch Inu Yasha late at night just to hear the Jap dub. ^^;;

It seemed that Usopp will be the one who would be leaving the crew in OP. After he woke up from being beaten up, Luffy tried to tell him that they will need a new ship and they can buy one with the remaining money that they had. Of course, Usopp doesn’t want that to happen, after all, Going Merry was their ship given by Kaya. The two were arguing and shouting that Luffy had shouted in anger that Usopp could just leave but later apologized. Usopp then said that he would for he thought of himself as useless and that Luffy throws away people/things that are usually to him.
The others were shocked over what happened and tried to call Usopp back. Then Usopp shouted to Luffy that he wanted a match and whoever wins gets to have Going Merry. Meanwhile, Iceberg’s government visitors are leaving. They seemed to be after something that he has. While Iceberg was talking, on the wall, there was a picture of young Robin’s wanted poster.
I am now reading the scans of Death Note that I downloaded yesterday. This can be quite addictive. ^_^ Yup, it is indeed a cat and mouse chase, Unicorn. The two are trying to outwit each other though I try not take sides. Hehehe I never thought L would look like that – as if he was an addict/insomniac. ^^;; Maybe because of the eyes.
 Monday, August 2, 2004 @ 03:29 p.m.
Nothing much happened in Gseed in the last episode. The Coordinators are launching an attack in Panama and mercilessly killed all the soldiers/people there even if they have surrendered. It wasn’t revealed why Raww kidnapped Fflay. I was thinking if this is a different version of Zechs – Relena thing but then, maybe Raww is just a plain sadist who wanted to have someone to see what he is doing. Fflay couldn’t kill him since if she did, she would be executed and she couldn’t kill herself either. Miriallia is somewhat getting nice to Miguel, brining him his lunch. Maybe because he did confess that he wasn’t the one who killed her boyfriend.
Kira’s old gundam was fixed. It would have been interesting if Cagalli got to pilot it since she did volunteer but then, Mwu offered to do it. Heck, so that from the opening, he get to fight ms vs ms [mobile suit] against Raww. By Wednesday, I hope to remember to watch CN’s Gseed [us dubbed] for it had caught up with the Taiwanese dub.
When Animax is going English dub all the way, I was wondering if it was just a glitch or something that it was Jap dub in Gash Bell and OP in the Taiwanese channel. The lead’s [Takamine]seiyuu sounded familiar though. Well, it was amusing to watch in Jap dub.
I made a wrong guess with Four Sisters. I forgot about the possibility of ‘faking to hate but really like’ attitude, which the lead was doing. So, he does love the second sister and tried suppressing it since her mother thinks lowly of him. The mother just knows that the lead’s mother is alive. It turned out that a head doctor who exchanged patients with the father is a bit incompetent that he made a crucial mistake in a simple operation. He kept it a secret regarding the lead’s mother’s condition so the father doctor didn’t know. The story is moving a bit fast which I like. Hehehe
So, who does the oldest sister like? I’m still wondering if it is the lead guy or maybe some other guy. The youngest sister likes her coach whose wife had already died. I again realized how bad I’m with faces when my mom pointed out that the ex-boyfriend of the third guy is the guy [rival] in Love letter. Since it is simultaneously showing, I flipped to that channel and ya, it is the same guy with different hair. Obviously, Four Sisters is an older drama that the familiar cast seemed to look a bit different.
 Saturday, July 31, 2004 @ 03:12 p.m.
I forgot to mention that I watched a new sentai series in TW channel. I don’t know the title but it is something about alternate worlds [somewhat like in Shaider] and dragons. Okay, at first, I thought it was some horror flick since a guy turned into a bat and a woman mysteriously disappears in front of her mirror. It turned out that monsters are going after people and dragging them into this alternate world – where there is no people but monsters, well, the one they have to fight.
The hero is a bumbling reporter who was investigating a disappearance and found a card deck. He then sees a red dragon flying around and almost attacking him. Then, his reporter friend is going to be attacked by mysterious huge spider monster which is invisible to the eyes except for the hero and another hero [his rival, I think] + a girl with him. While looking at a mirror, hero got teleported in and chased by the monster. Rival also went it with his pet bat.
Rival showed him some tricks which reminded me of Yugioh. He took a card [sword in the picture] from his belt buckle then placed it on his card holder at the other hand then, he has a sword. The hero tried to copy but his sword was quickly snapped in half. ^^; Rival then powered up by getting more card and defeated the monster. Then, came the flying red dragon, attacking them. That’s it. They still lack the colored accessories they have in the opening so I guess the dragon will give it to them. Red for the hero and blue for the rival.
Mm..after downloading Death Note chapter 1, I somewhat got interested in it even if the monster looked really bad. ^^; It is basically two bored beings who decided to play with human lives. I thought the lead character seemed familiar in terms of artwork and it turned out to be Hikaru no Go’s author. Death Note is a book, which you write people’s names and state how they will die within a certain time or else, they die of a heart attack. The student decided to ‘play’ with it since he is bored and a demon/death decided to drop it on Earth since he is also bored. The student is using it to ‘kill’ all of the bad guys, hoping that the world would be all nice and happy.

It is interesting that Rave managed to be in infinite rerun and Yugioh is now replaced by Power Rangers Wild Force. So, wrong guess on that one being the replacement of Tokyo Underground. Hehehe, I’m playing guessing games. Tokyo Underground is in rerun already so after a second run, it might be replaced.
I got to see Detective School Q yesterday. It was okay. The cases are simple and it is basically about a kid, Q who just loves solving cases after a first case, he was invited along with two others to Dan Detective School. They are told to solve a case though a series of photos and follow the culprit as their entrance exam. That is the first one of course. Later on, another kid joins in.
Today, while watching Four Sisters, I flipped channels and saw a new Taiwan soap. It had a familiar looking guy with somewhat long hair in bike and seemed to be courting a girl. I was thinking if this is a rerun of Outsiders and it turned out to be MARS. So, I’m guessing that the lead was Vic Chow and the girl was Barbie Hsu. I did hear before they are doing this project. I also did read that Cooking Master Boy and Hikaru no Go is being made into live-drama series too. It would be interesting if they also make ‘Akira’ hair for the Akira character. Hehehe Anyway, I didn’t see what time they are going to show MARS.
 Thursday, July 29, 2004 @ 04:11 p.m.
Just as I guessed, Four Sisters, is a bit loosely based on Little Women or it just happened that one of the sister is also sickly plus two of the sisters are after the same man though the novel isn’t that direct. ^^; I like the reaction of the second sister when she kept on meeting the guy whom she jokingly proposed to. The guy said that he would take her proposal seriously if they met thrice unintentionally and they actually did. Hehehe I checked the net and I was right about the lead guy who was in the drama, Model. He was the guy who got hit by the truck while trying to pick up a photo of his fiancé. Ouch. My mom was quite devastated since she liked him to be together with the leading lady.
In OP, the ship repairmen explained to them why their ship couldn’t be fix. Then, they realized that Usopp was kidnapped and their money stolen. Luffy went off without hearing where the Frankies are. Nami managed to get there first and found poor beaten up Usopp. Nami went back to the ship to get the others to help. Then, Usopp tried to get the money on his own but failed miserably. The boss? of the Frankies left with the money to buy something as the others celebrate. The others came together with Luffy and beat up the Frankies. I think Luffy have decided that they would have to depart/leave Going Merry.

Mm..I bought the wrong flying fox yesterday. It was only after I got them (asked sis to buy) when I realize that there aren’t the ones that eat my ‘nemesis’ algae – the black brush algae that are now clinging into the new driftwood. This one is cheaper and the owner did say that it also eats algae. So far, they aren’t eating any algae at all though they are a bit cute hopping on the gravel as a group of six. ^_^ Maybe, just try to control that algae’s growth is all that I can do for now. The petshop owner also said that the one I’m looking for is the expensive one, which he doesn’t have.
I’m re-playing KH [expert mode] which so far, seemed to be quite easy. I just had sis’ hubby play the fight scenes. It is the game which he love playing so I might as well play it at this mode to see the supposed, ‘different’ art at the ending. I’m progressing in Suikoden 3. It turned out that by the end of chapter 4, I get to decide which one would I want to be the ‘hero’ of the story. I decided on the one I least like and if ever, play the others – the ending might be different.
I had just finished reading a thick culinary book which sis borrowed from her husband’s cousin. She said that it is the book for culinary studies in the sister school of my university. If you finish that book then one will graduate. I breezed through it and just like any other cookbooks, it is the practice and experience that counts. Reading doesn’t really help wouldn’t do it. There are some tips that I got though.
I can somewhat guess what will happen in Four Sisters. The oldest sister is a nurse at their father’s hospital and she is adopted. This is a problem now since their mother who wanted her daughters to all marry rich guys wanted her to marry some rich guy. I was thinking as to what ‘year’ this soap is supposed to be happening or is the family just really old fashioned. The parents also have this idea that the oldest daughters should marry first and now, they are in crunch time for the third daughter just got herself engaged.
Because of this, this will somewhat ‘free’ the guy doctor from the oldest sister and be with the second sister who also like the guy doctor. The guy doctor doesn’t want to be involved with second sister since he loved someone else and the mother doesn’t quite approve of him since his mother was a ‘worker’ I think = not rich. This would more or less explain why in the advertisement had the second sister with the guy doctor.
The third sister’s problem is that she is a bit of a playgirl that her past is somewhat catching up with her. At first, I thought it was some co-worker who would probably be the comedienne in this series then, today, another guy came out, seemed to be a director. He doesn’t want to be ‘dump’ and threatened to cause trouble. No mention of the fourth sister yet about her love life. Oh ya, about Naruto va, he only voiced when the guy lead is a kid.

Nothing much happened in Gseed. Anthrun was informed over what had happened and he was told, I think, to find/kill Lacus and he did find her in some old theater. Lacus is wearing some weird costume and was singing. She told him that she bet on Kira for she believe in Kira’s beliefs regarding the war so she gave him the ‘gundam’ and asked Anthrun what he is fighting for – was it just to please his father?
Well, Anthrun couldn’t really kill her and even protected her from some people who wanted to arrest Lacus for what she had done. She did got away with the help of her men. Anthrun then heads off back to the base and flies back to Earth with his new gundam. Meanwhile, Kira is welcomed back even Ssigh was a bit emotional to learn that Kira is alive. It seemed that Fflay wanted to talk to Kira about something before his fight with Anthrun. They don’t know where Fflay is now.
I will be proofreading sis’ hubby’s paper. Hopefully, it will be last. The system in their school was that the paper is the final grade you’ll get – regardless of revising or defending it.
*bursts into laughter* I just heard the va of the lead guy in Four Sister, new Korean soap. Geez, it is the same va as local dub of Naruto. ^^; The plot is well, about four sisters – think Little Women. Of course, there is a guy and his mother had become comatose because of the sisters’ father who operated on her. So, the guy wanted to cut ties with one of the sisters who was his girlfriend. It is somewhat like Love Letter. The theme song is a Chinese classic, Moon Represent My Heart [sloppy translation] by Ting Le Kun which was usually sang in weddings.
 Saturday, July 24, 2004 @ 04:44 p.m.
SGRan has finally ended and I can wake up a bit late on Saturdays. Hehehe ^_^ The ending was okay but it felt a bit rush just to end the series. All of them had more or less known endings except for Ran which is a bit open-ended. Towa is going away and asked Kudo to take care of the café for her. I think they would probably marry in the end, just like Kudo’s dream. The others prepare for her farewell party. Miyu got a new apartment. Yamato vowed to support her in all her decisions for the future whether to work or study in college after graduation and he will be always be there for her. Yuya is entering various contests with Mami as his own way of proving to Mami’s father that he deserve Mami. I can already image what kind of couple they will be when they are older. Hehehe
Saiyo and Misato got in Ran’s high school. They are already imaging the possible detective days they will have while there. Katsumi apparently also got in there and she comforted Naoki who was sad that Towa is leaving. But him being sad didn’t last long for now, Naoki shifted his ‘love’ to Katsumi. Hehehe Aya plans to take the national entrance exam for college even though she had a scholarship at a different college. That is because she wanted to be with Rei. Rei supported what she wants and hope that she ‘gets’ what she deserve. Aya was a bit happy about that.
While the two are walking, they found Tatsukichi looking for Ran since she didn’t appear at their meeting place. Rei volunteered to help as Aya went to the café to help the preparations. It was Rei who found Ran in some abandoned lot. Ran was too hungry to move and has no money so Rei treated her with some noodles. Tatsukichi saw them together. Rei then asked Ran what are her plans for the future and she replied that she doesn’t think that far even though her father wanted her to be a policewoman. She is just going to live for the day and when she gets there, that is when she will decide what she will do with her life. Rei told her that is so much like her – what I like about you - so she shouldn’t change. Ran told him that is what I hate about you – for flattering her. Rei then left as Ran wonders what to give Towa as a farewell gift.
Rei then saw Tatsukichi up a tree who exclaims that he isn’t going to give Ran to him. Rei just ignores him as he told him that the problem with Tatsukichi is he lacks confidence. Rei left as Tatsukichi went to Ran. It turned out that Ran forgot about meeting him. They don’t have much money and it was a good thing that a lottery ticket floated by. They, of course, used it. On the way to the café, all the cast had something to say about Ran, the super gal of Shibuya then Ran arrived with Tatsukichi, holding a stuff toy, which they won. The end. So, I guess it is up to the viewers as to whom Ran will end up with. It made me think what’s up with the last clip from the last episode about gossips about Ran and Rei. ^^;;
The anime that will take this timeslot is Inu Yasha. I had surfed a bit and it turned out that this series haven’t ended yet though I don’t know if the anime is still running. I think there are already 3 movies for Inu Yasha already. They are already advertising about Power Rangers coming soon. That would mean that a series would be ending soon. I’m thinking maybe Tokyo Babylon.
The latest summary of Skip Beat! wasn’t that fun but it was okay. I wonder what is Ren’s problem. From a special promo drama cd of Skip Beat!, they had Sesshomaru’s va for Ren’s. Hehehe...nice choice..bsho-type voice. ^_^ I tried surfing again for scanlations [Chinese] of this manga but no luck. I did found three chapters of which two are already in volume form. That one chapter isn’t one of those fun chapter, either. The wordings are a bit small that I have a hard time reading. Oh well, I might as wait for it to be released in tankouban.
I haven’t been able to watch much news lately since I have to cook dinner these days. My hands already smell of onion and garlic since I have to chop them. At least, cooking had improved a bit as in doing simple ‘normal’ dishes and not the ‘unusual’ dishes that I usually do which require lots of preparations. I would have to check on the late afternoon anime in Taiwanese channels to see if any series is ending soon.
Well, I do read the newspaper, so the hostage managed to go back to his province and got a ‘hero’ welcome. I do not know why he was called a hero though. Then, there is a building, which collapsed in our area like some many blocks away. It seemed that the building had a really faulty foundation that it is leaning for some time already. It was just yesterday when people here some rumbling and like iron is breaking. They had all the occupants go out of the building even the nearby building. By late afternoon, it finally leaned forward and fell as it also hit the building in front of it. They also theorized that it could be because there are two other buildings being made near it and the pounding in of the foundation had weakened the building. Hopefully, they sealed the place so that no one will steal stuff from there and there is a bank/insurance company below – they haven’t removed the money from the vault. My aunt from US had even called us, thinking that it was our building, which had collapsed. She was the wife of the uncle who stayed here. How nice of them to be concerned but I wonder how did they know...was it on international news?
 Thursday, July 22, 2004 @ 02:16 p.m.
I wonder if it is a coincidence or deliberate when a local theater shows some international movies, the Japanese ones tend to be showing on wowow, too. ^^; The movie before was Omnyouji and now, it is Zaitochi. From the promo ad, Zaitochi is about a blind swordsman who helped out two geishas who wanted revenge, I think, against people who killed their father. I was able to catch the last part of the movie in wowow. There was a guy and a geisha in a tub then, when the geisha talked, it turned out to be a man. ^^;;; Then, when I flipped back, Zaitochi saved the two geishas in the nick of time when they got their enemies inside a house. Zaitochi had a bloody slash fest and killed everyone there. I think he is left-handed or something since the way he uses his sword seemed a bit queer but it was too fast for me to actually observe better. In the end, there is an amusing dance number, which is like tap dancing using Japanese wooden sandals as Zaitochi finishes the remaining enemies with an ending scene of him tripping because of a stone. ^^;; Was that to emphasize that he isn’t invincible or for humor?
By August, they will be showing Omnyouji 2. The enemy before seemed to be still alive and of course, wanted revenge. I think the enemy planted something on a supposed possessed woman. Anyway, it is now time for the lead to play ‘dead’ instead of the sidekick. ^^; I guess it is easier to watch action movies than drama especially without subtitles and not knowing the language.
Ban: Could you be saying a shallow plot?
Ah..yeah. ^^; And, while surfing yesterday, I already know the title of the one with kids/animals with people reading from books. It is called Konjiki no Gash Bell!! The Chinese title is really different from the Japanese characters. It is not that well-known though but I’m not that way off with the plot. In short, what I thought was happening is right as according to the plot because it is simple. ^^; Takamine, loner genius student had Gash as a friend and with a book that can be used for Gash to have special powers. It is a fight to be demon king among the other children/animals so other people kept on attacking them. From the site I found, it isn’t your regular arena fight because Gash might not really want to be a demon king in the first place and Takamine isn’t quite interested in the fighting, he just want to protect Gash whom he can somewhat now consider, his friend. I wasn’t able to finish the episode last Sunday because of satellite interference, just when it is getting to the climax. Oh well, that is the problem with this cable...better something than nothing at all, I guess.
There was an article yesterday about what the kids of the hostage in Iraq was doing while waiting for news about their father. They were watching Spiderman2, Volta and Sabel [the latter two are local movies] in DVD. I was wondering if those were pirated copies since I highly doubt that there are already DVD copies of recently shown movies, unless, it is released quite fast these days. The news now is on what are the possible consequences for pulling out the troops – the US is said to be very displeased for the country ‘leaving them in the air’. By Monday, there might be some rallies again since the president is going to have her SONA [state of the nation address].
I had been re-reading my Skip Beat! manga. I was hoping that I might get to extract some more info from it. Well, that is the beauty of reading in Chinese. Hehehe Geez, now I’m coveting Ren’s necklace. ^^; Sigh, just have to think/do something else while waiting for the next summary. The next volume cover recently released was of Shou in devil suit. Oh, the joy of Kyouko torturing him there. Hehehe
Edit: Oh joy! A new summary...*goes off to read*
 Wednesday, July 21, 2004 @ 03:53 p.m.
There was much rejoicing yesterday in the country as they saw the hostage is safe and sound – return to Filipino officials in Iraq. The family also treated some people with noodles as everyone prepare for the arrival at the country for a little party for him. The government made sure that he won’t be leaving the country again to work by providing scholarship to his child/ren and a land/house of his own.
Of course, that didn’t quite made those whose loved ones are also in Iraq and got bombed happy since they didn’t get much assistance from the government. It somewhat seemed to be a case of ‘too bad your story isn’t as soap opera as the other one’ so there was less emphasis on their plight.
Speaking of reunion, I had finally found my missing fish – the one my brother bought. I think it was about two weeks already when I told my brother that one of the fishes he bought is missing. I thought it jumped out or just died without a trace. Then, today, when we cleaned the filter, my mother found it still swimming. It was a miracle for I wonder how it managed to survive inside. It must have such a fighting spirit to live. So, it is now reunited with its fish pals and seemed to be in good condition. ^_^
The blog pic is a quickie one. I just altered how it was suppose to be shown. I had blog pic mental block lately. ^^;; Good thing I saw this pic and thought of doing something with it. Tifa looks great. Hehehe and well, realistic. The song is just random finding of lyrics in anime lyrics.
