About this blog:
I usually write about the manga that I'm currently reading. At times, I write about the anime I watched. Since it is hard to share and talk my thoughts about a certain manga series when people don't know about it, I tend to summarize them from Chinese scanlations so beware, this blog is filled with spoilers and they are not 100% perfect. I'm partly doing this to improve my Chinese. ^^ Feel free to point out my mistakes. ^^ Occasionally, I would blog about myself and other misc. things.

At the library, Shoma proudly tells irritated Fumino that Kazuma hasn’t told her about the contents of the letter. He incites her further by saying that means Kazuma doesn’t trust her and they aren’t much of a married couple. “But, I know what’s written in it! Let me tell you, it’s actually..” Fumino shouts for him to leave, there’s no need for him to say it, since she is going to wait for Kazuma to tell her about it. Because of the ruckus, they are all toss out of the library. Shoma says that it is her fault but Fumino exclaims that he started it by provoking her. Meg tells them to stop quarreling and isn’t Fumino going to fetch Teppei so they should all go. Shoma sees Fumino looking s omewhat depressed. Shoma comments this to her but Fumino tells her to just go home for he’s too noisy. To her surprise, Shoma asks her about walking around for a while for a change of mood. Since Fumino is puzzled, Shoma tries to tell her that the two of them.. Unfortunately for him, Kazuma arrives and leans on his younger brother’s head. Kazuma happily asks if they have finished studying and will be going home now. While holding Shoma in a head grip, Kazuma says that he originally wanted to go to the library after work but then, walking around for a change of mood isn’t bad so they should all go together. And just like that, they went for their last outing during the vacation break.
Soon, they are out for a barbecue at the mountain side. Kazuma says that they went on a trip before but that is to study, so now, they can naturally relax. Meg and Teppei happily say, yay. Fumino offers a barbecue to Shoma. To Kazuma’s shock, Shoma bites on the barbecue that Fumino is holding. Ryu has to hold Kazuma back before Kazuma skewers Shoma. =P Shoma just happily goes his way to eat the barbecue and says that there is that kind of pleasure. [<- teasing the two?] Meg exclaims that Shoma’s competence is quite strong. [<- knows how to tease them?] They didn’t notice that someone is watching them. After numerous other summer-type activities, Teppei sees a huge longhorn bettle. Fumino asks him if he can catch it by himself. Teppei says he can so Fumino wishes him good luck. Fumino wants to take a picture of Teppei catching it but she realizes that she left the camera with Kazuma. She sees him fishing. When she is about to call him, she notices that he has that sad look. She thinks that it is probably about what’s written in the letter. She wonders what is in it. She looks at the picture he gave her and starts to wonder who those two other guys are. She doesn’t think the guy on the left is Kazuma’s father and maybe one of them is Sasa. Fumino thinks that she wants to know about it so that she can help but..right now, she should wait for him. While telling herself to endure and punching the tree, a lot of beetles suddenly fall down from the tree, and then something huge. Teppei goes to her and asks if she just got a huge beetle. Fumino says no, it is a guy wearing a suit..and carrying binoculars. He suddenly stands up and apologizes for frightening them. Fumino is surprised when he knows who she and Teppei is. The man bows and introduces himself as Sasa, Shoma’s guardian and he knows about her relationship with Kazuma. Sasa asks her if Kazuma has read the letter but she doesn’t know what is written in it. Fumino is surprised when Sasa says, is that so, it has nothing to do with her.
Suddenly, Kazuma appears and holds on to Fumino. He angrily asks Sasa why he is there. Fumino thinks that it seems for a split-second the mood froze. Sasa bows and tells Kazuma to relax since it is for other private matters that he came today and it isn’t to report something. Kazuma asks then why he came. Fumino thinks that Kazuma’s voice is serious and heavy that she is becoming afraid. Sasa says that he cannot answer that but Kazuma insists that he tell him. Sasa tells him that if it is okay for Fumino to hear it then, he’ll answer him. Fumino cannot stand it anymore that she shouts that there is a huge beetle there and she’s going to get it. Running off, she shouts for the two to take their time talking and see you later. Kazuma angrily shouts that Sasa is an idiot for threatening but Sasa says that it is because Fumino said that she didn’t know what’s in the letter. Kazuma asks if he came for that and he’s preparing to tell her. Just then, Ryu and the others arrive with a forest ranger telling them not to go far out into the mountain because around this year, there are bears coming down from the mountain. Even if one rarely sees them but still, one should be careful. Kazuma freaks out over this that he hurriedly runs off while calling out to Fumino. Meanwhile, running as fast as she can, Fumino thinks that she had run away when she obviously wanted to know everything about Kazuma but still..that mood is really cold and dark. She wipes her tears and tells herself that if she cannot overcome that, she won’t come to understand Kazuma’s past. She feels useless and she ought to go back. She punches a tree and tells herself to be more courageous. Suddenly, something falls down. She wonders if it is Sasa again but it turns out to be a bear which is angry since it hit its head.
The bear growls at her but ta-ta-ta-da, superman Kazuma is here to punch the living daylights out of the bear. With a cold look, Kazuma asks flustered-scared Fumino if she is startled. Kazuma grabs her and urges her to hurry and escape. While running, Fumino tells him to slow down for her foot got entangled on something. Then, they fall down a cliff. Soon, Fumino wakes up to find herself on Kazuma’s lap. Kazuma is relieved that she is fine. He asks her if she is hurt anywhere. Fumino is still in a daze that she asks him where are they. Kazuma says that it seems that they had fallen down from a crevice on the ground but he left his coat up the tree so they’ll just wait for the others to find them. Fumino asks him if he can climb up when it is so high. Patting his left knee, Kazuma sheepishly says that just now, he got careless and twisted his foot. Fumino starts apologizing and asks if it hurts, if the bone is broken. Kazuma tells her that it’s okay, and compared to that, it’s great that she is okay. Fumino thinks that Kazuma has always been protecting her yet.. Fumino starts crying and apologizes for running away a while ago for she was afraid. “..I want to know everything about you. (Want to gather up..) At that time, I shouldn’t have run away! (..my courage! To not run away whatever it is that I see and whatever it is that I hear..)” Kazuma asks her to come to him. Crying Fumino holds her hand up and tells him not to pamper her and she’ll sit there until the others come for them. Kazuma tells her that is enough, his foot really hurts so come. Fumino goes to his embrace and thinks, “Sensei! My husband! One who deeply loves only me..” Kazuma thanks her. They look at each other then he hugs her again. Kazuma tells her that if this keeps on, he’ll be burning with desire so while they are waiting to be rescued, he’ll tell her the contents of the letter. “And, I’ll also tell you about my past..” Narration: “Sensei has finally opened the doors of his heart to me.” While the others are looking around for Fumino, Teppei is finds stag beetle more interesting than longhorn beetle so together with Sasa, they will search for it deeper in the mountain especially since Sasa said his eyes are sharp in finding them.
Mm..so the past is for next chapter and this is a set up for them to be alone before he tells them. Hehe, it is kind of like the part 1 of his past before regarding Kazuma’s teacher. ^^; Why do I have a feeling that when they are going to lovey-dovey later on, someone is going to interrupt again? ^^;; Hehe, it seems that Kazuma has to keep his guard up because Shoma will keep on looking for ways to have an opportunity with Fumino. I cannot put my finger on it but somehow, Sasa reminds me of some other character. He seems to be too calm and a bit nerdy. Anyway, I think he is a good guy since Teppei hangs out with him. When they are alone at the chapel, Shin asks flustered Maria if she is alright. Maria somewhat smiles at him then holds his injured hand. He tells her that it has been re-bandaged. He assures her not to worry and he’ll have it checked at the hospital. Maria looks worriedly at him that Shin keeps on assuring her that it is okay. Shin cannot bear to see her like that especially if it is about him, and he wants her to smile. She is surprised when Shin suddenly welcomes her to a church music exhibition. He opens the piano and starts playing. He tells her that this piano isn’t bad at all and he is pretty proud of his one-hand playing of Ave Maria. He tells Maria that other songs are accepted so what does he want to play for her. Shin starts playing Amazing Grace and says that she used to sing that. He asks if she still remembered that when she just transferred school, she sang that alone. “When I heard that beautiful voice, I returned to the classroom and found you..” The others hear the piano music and it made John cry. Blushing Shin says that he’ll confess that perhaps, that time, it was love at first sight. This made Maria blush, too. He starts playing variations to it like jazz and ballad style. Shin blushes really red when Maria finally smiles. Then, Shin tries to play it symphonic style but he unconsciously uses his right hand. Shin winces in pain and to their shock, Shin’s hand is twitching again. Shin just nervously tells Maria that they should go out on a stroll and there ought to be a nice park nearby. Shin begins to worry that he might not be able to play the piano anymore. At a covered esplanade, Shin comments that the wind is cold and it’s because they are the seaside. Shin tries to act normal but he is becoming afraid since it isn’t normal for his hand’s pain to keep on increasing. Then, that kid, Ryu calls out to Maria. Holding some letters, Ryu accuses Maria of making John cry so they should apologize to John. Yuusuke arrives and tells Ryu that everyone has been looking for him. Snubbing Yuusuke, Ryu exclaims that he knows that Maria wants those letters, the ones that John received. Maria is surprised by this. Ryu exclaims that if they don’t apologize, he is going to throw all of those letters to the sea. Yuusuke shouts for him not to do that for those are the letters of Maria’s mother.. Ryu shouts for him to shut up. They are surprise that Ryu is already over the railing and is holding the letters to the sea. Yuusuke shouts that he’ll fall but Ryu won’t listen and continues with his threats. Then, Ryu loses his balance. Maria rushes to pull back Ryu and Shin also tries to grab Maria with his right hand but he hesitated. Maria and Ryu fell down to the sea below. While Yuusuke shouts to Maria, Shin is appalled at himself that he would suddenly choose to protect his hand rather than Maria.
Diving in the water with Ryu, Maria quickly holds Ryu tight and thinks that she should quickly go up since the sea is cold that it doesn’t make her feel good. They surface. While Ryu is shouting for Maria not to hold her tightly, Shin prepares to go to her but Yuusuke tells him not to go because of his injured hand, and if they both go, they won’t be able to save them. Shin tries to protest that it is just a small injury but Yuusuke tells him that he’ll save them and Shin is the one responsible to pull them to safety. Shin is flustered over this. Yuusuke jumps down, and then, he swims towards the two. Yuusuke takes Ryu from Maria and tells her that he’ll bring Ryu to the shallow waters. While Yuusuke tells Ryu, who is thrashing about, to calm down, he turns to Maria to tell her to go to the shallow waters. Instead, Maria decides to go back and get her mother’s letters. She wants to know what is written in them concerning her. What does her mother think of her? Did she feel that because of her [Maria], her life is filled with pain? While swimming down in the water, Maria loses breath and remembers the time when she told her mother that she doesn’t need friends because her mother doesn’t have friends. Then, her mother cried out that she is all alone is because of Maria. “At that time, I realize that I’m a child who shouldn’t have existed. If there is no me, then mama will definitely, still be living right now. I’m sorry, mama.” Then, Maria opens her eyes and sees her mother hugging her. After removing Maria’s necklace, her mother throws it up to the waters. Maria thinks that her mother has come to fetch her so that this time around, they can die together. Meanwhile, Yuusuke exclaims to Shin who is holding Ryu that it is no good, it is too dark that he cannot see anything. He shouts at Shin if he can see anything from his side. Anxious Shin starts to mutter where she could be when he notices something sparkling in the waters behind Yuusuke. Shin realizes that it is Maria’s cross. While he shouts this to Yuusuke, Shin starts going to that direction. Yuusuke tells him not to come near since it is deep there and he’ll go save her. Shin is flustered again over his helplessness. He can only worriedly wait as Yuusuke dives into the water. Then, Yuusuke surfaces with unconscious Maria. While Shin is asking if Maria is alright, Yuusuke notices that Maria isn’t breathing. Shin looks stunned as Yuusuke gives Maria a mouth to mouth resuscitation. Maria then throws out the water she has swallowed. As Maria opens her eyes, Yuusuke asks if she can hear him and she should breath slowly. Shin looks on and then, he looks away. Maria realizes that she is still alive. Relieved Yuusuke tells her that it is alright.
The two are surprised when Maria voices out ‘Mama’. Maria sadly thinks that she is left alone again and she made her mother leave on her own. Yuusuke asks her what happened. Maria looks flustered. Shin asks Yuusuke about the necklace. Yuusuke tells Shin that he got it. Yuusuke gives it to him and Shin thanks him. Putting the necklace back on Maria, Shin tells her that just now, it floated on the water so it is quite baffling since it is made of silver. “In the dark waters, it is thanks to it that we were able to find you. It seems that there is someone specially wanted to tell us that you are there. It’s definitely, your..” Maria remembers seeing her mother throwing her necklace up the water. Maria suddenly grabs Shin’s shirt and ‘shouts’, “It’s mama, it’s mama who saved me. Ah, Meguro, tell me that it is mama who saved me.. *Shin looks flustered* Tell me.. Tell me that I’m not hated. *Shin hugs her tight as she cries* I want to believe.” Then, Shintaro and John arrive. Shintaro exclaims if Maria and Ryu are alright. He then asks Ryu about the letters that he took. Shintaro didn’t finish his question since they see all the letters scattered in the sea. Shintaro shouts at Ryu who cries that it wasn’t deliberate. It is because they made John cry that he wanted to tease them a bit. Shintaro calls him a fool because those were letters written by Maria’s mother and now, there is no way of knowing what’s written inside. Shin and Maria are surprised when John says, “‘I gave birth to a child and named her Maria.’ That is her first letter. After that incident, I wrote to her everyday and later on, she gradually started to answer them. ‘Because you always continue on writing apology letters, then I will also write back something about how the child is growing up. This is my vengeance in order for you not to forget us.” Maria looks sad since it is for vengeance so her mother.. Then, to her surprise, John says, “Today, Maria held my hand. If I look at it in detail, the shape of her fingers is like mine. Today, she starts talking. Today, she starts to sing and her voice is like an angel’s! Today, she remembered a lot of songs. Wait until I’m in the mood, perhaps, I will make her listen to Amazing Grace as you suggested. Today, Maria had a fight with someone, it seems that she got angry because some people said bad things about me. I’m not the same with Maria who is very strong. It is probably because I’m weak so she became strong. Even if the other party is an adult, she totally won’t cower away but would face that person head on. She can tell the other’s innermost weakness to make them waver and hate her [Maria]. But in my opinion, Maria being unskilled in that area, is quite cute.’” Maria looks surprised by this while John looks sad.
John continues to say, “You mother’s letters are filled with love for you. You were always being deeply loved by your mother.” Maria looks in surprise and thinks, “How can this be.. All of a sudden, from the mouth of the person whom I detest the most, comes out the words that I really wanted to hear. Perhaps, he is lying, perhaps those letters fundamentally do not contain those.. but..” John looks flustered that he starts to climb up the fence. Shintaro asks him what he is doing. John tells him that he is going to get the letters for he wanted Maria to see those letters with her own eyes. Everyone is surprised when crying Maria suddenly says, “I believe.” Narration: “Other from that sentence, I wasn’t able to say anything else. Only to sing. Just, only to sing.” Flustered John starts cries, too. Soon, back in the church, Maria is taking a bath. She remembers what John said about what her mother thinks of her ‘bluntness’ towards others. “-Ah, mama, I’m a bit afraid. I’m afraid of the things that I would say whether they will hurt someone else’s heart again but..” Maria says ‘ah’ and hears her own voice. Then, Maria somewhat smiles. Outside the bathroom, Yuusuke is surprised when Maria suddenly calls out to him using his full name. Maria apologizes for the long wait and tells him to go in and warm himself. She is surprised when he says that she startled him. Yuusuke says that it is because it has been a long time since someone called his full name and only Maria does that. “It’s really great that your voice is back.” Maria thanks him for saving her when she’s in the sea. She tells him that she heard this from Shin. Yuusuke asks her if Shin said anything else. Maria is puzzled so Yuusuke drops the subject and says that it’s nothing. Maria asks what that other thing is and did she cause any other trouble. Yuusuke smiles and says that it’s nothing. He keeps saying that and Maria notices something. Maria says that he’s lying for the water has buoyancy so they ought to have floated up. Yuusuke laughs and says that it is exposed so he’s going to take a bath. Before he can leave, Maria tells him that his expression just now, it appears when he is telling a kind [/white] lie. She notices Yuusuke looks aghast that she wonders if she said something that she shouldn’t say. Yuusuke darkly tells her not to continue on in this direction. Pointing at her, he tells her that occasionally, she should pretend to not know and give the other person some face, in that way, she’ll be cute. Maria calls him stupid. Yuusuke happily tells him that guys are very stupid. Narration: “Ah, mama, this guy.. will make the loser me into someone cute. Then, there is..”
Sparkling Shintaro puts his hand on Maria’s shoulder and says that after taking bath, then seeing her wearing his shirt, it seems as if they are a couple. Maria pushes his face away and tells him that she is just using it as temporary clothes to wear so please don’t imagine that he’s a gift to women. While Shintaro is telling her not to be shy, Maria notices a lot of books on the bookcase and asks if those are all John Cross’ books. Shintaro says yes and those are for all of them [kids] to read. John collected all of them so that they [kids] can read all kinds of books. Shintaro happily says that if one reads them all, one will become quite intelligent. Maria says that based on the contents [/subjects] of the books, it is quite similar to the books given to her before she went to school. The caretaker will always bring her new books every week so she isn’t bored even if she is alone. She had asked the caretaker who brought the books but she is only told that someone asked her to [give it to Maria]. “Could it be..” Shintaro confides to her that the first time he saw her was a year ago, with John by his side. It is on the television during the choir competition when she sang Amazing Grace. Flashback: Shintaro commented that Maria is amazing and isn’t that the song that John likes. To his surprise, John bitterly cried. That is when John told him what happened in the past, about his daughter and what he did. End flashback. Shintaro admits that from the start, he is interested in her that is why he enrolled in Touzuka. He apologizes for always hiding this from her but he likes her and he really wants the person he likes to make up with John. When Shintaro is becoming really flustered, Maria slaps him lightly and calls his full name. Shintaro is really happy when Maria thanks him that he wants to hug her but Maria pushes him away. Narration: “Ah, mama, even if this child likes to be pampered, but he is always able to notice the most important things. Furthermore, mama, I have a lover. He really likes to worry, a bit ruthless [/cool], but, he is really, very dependable--”
Maria goes to the chapel to see Shin there. Shin turns around to see her. He looks flustered and tells her that it makes him uncomfortable. He calls her stupid for not calling out when she came. Maria pouts and says that she already got her voice back and he is already picking a fight. She tells him that speaking of that, why is he there wasting time and since it is inconsistent with his nature to be there, she had a hard time looking for him. Aghast Shin says that the poisonous tongue has resurrected. Maria asks if it is better for her not to be able to talk. Shin says that actually she is cuter that way [not talking]. Maria sarcastically apologizes for not being cute, and because she got her voice back, she won’t be cute again. Shin says that she is really not cute. He smiles and says that even if she isn’t cute, but this is better and he is relieved. This made Maria blush. Maria tells him that it is because of him that she isn’t cute. Just when she obviously can talk now, there is something that she wanted to say. Shin asks her what it is. Maria says that she missed the opportunity and she cannot say it anymore. Shin asks why. He holds her face with both hands as he urges her to say it. Maria thinks that she wants to call him by his name ‘Shin’. “And afterwards..” Maria tries to change the subject by telling him not to use his right hand but it ends with Shin giving her a kiss. Maria thinks, “..tell you ‘I like you’ many, many times..” Suddenly Maria looks shock that she pushes Shin away. She covers her mouth and says that Shin suddenly puts his tongue in and is that normal for she thought kisses are just touching of the lips. Flustered Shin timidly apologizes for being impatient. Maria tells him that she doesn’t hate it but she’s only worried about his right hand. Shin seems to look glum when Maria worriedly tells him to go to the hospital to check if it has gotten worse. She starts telling him that she will help him, then she’ll put her energy in it to cure it. Shin tells him that compared to that, there is something he wants to do with her so can she free her Sunday. Maria blushes really red because she remembered he told her that they will continue with ‘lovey-dovey’ [before] when she gets her voice back.
The next day, Maria and others are leaving while Maria wonders to her mother what is she to do [about what Shin told her]. While Shintaro is asking the others if they left anything, Maria thinks that there is a kind of kiss that she doesn’t know and she wonders if her knowledge about this stuff is enough. She looks at Shin and thinks that she thought that if one is naked with the other, things will go smoothly. “At this time, it would have been better if I were to talk about this with mama then I would be able to inquiry what I should do. Ah, mama, have you ever felt this kind of feeling? Have you ever fallen in love?” She looks sad as she remembers the newspaper article about her mother being raped. Her thoughts are interrupted when John calls out to her and tells her that if she has any problems, she can contact him anytime. John then urges Ryu who is clinging on to him to apologize. While Maria is saying that there is no need to apologize, she looks up and sees the name of the church, ‘Gospel Marianna Church’. [<-Sorry, it is Marianne before ^^;] Maria says that her mother’s name is Anna. She asks John if the name of the church is based on her and her mother’s name, that is why it is called Marianna. John blushes really red that Maria realizes that it is true. She suddenly asks if John is single. John timidly says yes. Maria asks, “Is it because you do not have any plans to marry that is why you became a priest? Do you..really loved mama?” John looks surprised then sad. He tells her that he knows that he doesn’t have the right but as they communicated through letters, he has fallen for Anna. Maria brightens up and mentally tells her mother that she doesn’t want to go home like this. Maria exclaims that she is going to make him meet her mother’s family. John says no for they do not want to see him. Maria grabs his sleeve and tells him not to say anymore and just follow her. Yuusuke tells Maria that she is reckless for wasn’t her grandpa in a poor health condition. Maria says that it is even more, bad for the health if they continue on blaming themselves for they always thought that her mother died is because they abandoned their own daughter. When they reach the factory, they are surprised that there are many people there. It turns out that her grandfather is being carried into an ambulance.
Soon, they are in a hospital where Maria learned from the rescuers as to where her grandfather will be brought. At the waiting area, grandmother sees her and calls out to Maria. Maria asks about her grandfather. She tells Maria that it is still unknown since they are still reviving him. She tearfully narrates that it happened suddenly this morning. His heart has always been not good and was told that he has to get operated on but her husband won’t listen nor rest. From the time Anna died, he won’t stop working. Maria tries to calm her down but her grandmother keeps on crying about what is she to do if he dies. “I will be left all alone without my husband and child.” Maria shouts at her that she isn’t alone for she still has her. Grandmother looks surprised and calls Maria’s name. Maria says that there is also John. It is only then she notices that John is there that she asks why he is there. Then, the doctor comes out and tells them that the surgery is really needed so they ought to properly talk with the patient about this. In the private room, grandmother timidly calls out to her husband that Maria and John are there. Maria gets angry when her grandfather closes his eyes and tells them to go away for he doesn’t care whatever reason it is that they came. His wife shouts at him but grandfather continues to say that there is no use to curry favor from a dying stubborn old man. “I won’t have the surgery! It doesn’t matter if I die!” He is surprised when Maria says that no wonder her mother is very stubborn because she has an equally stubborn and willful father. “You are treating this dying from sickness, as your punishment for abandoning mama. This way, you can free yourself! Totally not even thinking of the feelings of those who’ll be left behind! By not curing your own illness, what is that going to be atoned. You’re really such an idiot. Doing this is only running away. *tearful while John tries to calm her down* Grandfather, a person like you, it would be good if you just go and die as you wish!” Maria turns and angrily runs out of the room with John following her. Grandfather and wife is surprised as he mutters that Maria just called her ‘grandfather’.
Shin comes forward and tells them, “Please, protect that girl. Later on, she will definitely encounter all sorts of happiness, be enveloped by friends, then one day, after she graduates.. she’ll go to her coming of age ceremony, wedding ceremony, meeting all sorts of people, and one day, become a mother..” Shintaro tries to interrupt that he will make Maria happy but Shin quickly covers his mouth and continues to say, “Of course, there is also a possibility that it will not turn out like the kind of happiness that I thought of, and perhaps, she will go and live a life that is totally beyond what I can predict. So please, ‘live on’ and protect her life. *calm yet somewhat smiling sadly * Then when that girl is striving, I would want her to have her family’s encouragement. *grandfather looks flustered* Sorry for saying such arrogant [/rude] words.” Shin bows to them then leaves. Yuusuke follows him out and calls out to him but Shin keeps on walking. Shin only stops when Yuusuke holds his shoulder and tells him to wait. He asks Shin what’s up with him. Shin says that it is nothing. Yuusuke says that before, it feels like he would be protecting Maria but this time, it seems like he is asking someone else to do this. Yuusuke worriedly asks what happened and what he is thinking but Shin didn’t answer and just walks on. Outside the hospital, by the garden, John calls out to sad Maria who is sitting down. Maria says that she did it again, she just got her voice back and yet she hurt someone again. “I didn’t plan on forcing grandfather. I obviously want to cheer him up, and not to blame himself anymore, that is why I came.” John asks if she brought him there to see them for that reason. John blushes when Maria stands up and thanks him for the many books that he gave her. “After mama died, the one who asked a caretaker to come to take care of me is you, right. *There is a scene of the caretaker telling her that next week, someone else will come* Grandfather provided me a place to live as well as my living expenses. *There is a scene of an older guy [<-probably grandfather] giving young Maria an envelope and asking if she is alright* Even if I said that I want to buy an apartment then, sever relations but every month, money is still regularly sent and it is definitely grandfather. Thanks to John and grandfather, I am able to live without any inconveniences. I’m very grateful to you people. *John looks flustered and her grandparents are eavesdropping by the tree.* --I, obviously wanted to convey these to you guys, that is why I also brought you [John] along..”
Maria looks up in surprise that she asks why John is crying. This made Maria pat his head and says ‘Nice..nice..’. [<- Ah, it is like comforting a kid.] Maria remembers Shintaro telling her that John cannot sing Amazing Grace alone and it is strange since he is a priest. Maria starts singing Amazing Grace. She thinks, “‘Amazing Grace’, this tender melody.. ‘the me who has gravely sinned, this ugly heart can also be saved and redeemed’. It’s that kind of song..” Maria starts coughing for her voice has again.. To her surprise, John starts to continue singing horribly. Maria realizes that he is tone deaf then she smiles and thinks that it seems as if he had placed his hope within this song yet he always hasn’t sang it before. “It’s enough, John, thank you, my father..” Maria smiles tenderly at him and says that it sounds awful. She then hears something that she turns to the side to see her grandparents at the side. Her flustered grandfather tells Maria that he will undergo the surgery and he was lectured by her friend. After recovering from her surprise, Maria asks if it is Shin. Her grandfather says that he doesn’t know what his name is. Grandfather says that yesterday, they met for the first time yet he [Shin] said so many rude things, it is that black haired guy who lectured him and even said to protect her. Maria blushes over this. Grandmother looks pleasantly surprised while grandfather is puzzled over her expression that he asks her about it. Grandmother goes to Maria and asks if that guy is her boyfriend. Maria blushes and says yes. While grandmother is delighted, John and grandfather are shock especially when she said that she’ll go on a date with him this Sunday. While John is totally speechless, grandfather is exclaiming for her not to go to any indecent places. Grandmother is happily telling Maria that it is great. Narration: “I thought that there’s no problem anymore. I thought that later on, I only have to support Shin in getting his hand well, and then, there will be no problem anymore..” There is a scene of Shin looking at his bandaged hand while standing in front of the surgery department.
And so, Maria’s issues with her past and family are resolved. It’s all thanks to her for being able to express what she really feels and to her male friends who are there for her. ^^ Hehe, we even got Maria’s mother’s ghost making a cameo =P I guess it is all about second chances and it’s good that they are somehow trying to make it all up to Anna by making Maria happy. This will take time though but hopefully, they will be a happy family. Well, it’s also good that Maria got her voice back. That scene is quite moving. So, the problem now is Shin’s hand. There is a teaser in baidu and here. The cover page is super gentleman smile angry Ren with scared Kyouko. Kyouko starts to explain that it is Kijima’s joking attitude that made her agree to it – the dress and as escort. If she is serious, she would firmly refuse it. Before, she told Ren that she swears to protect her purity and that made Ren’s anger dissipate. “Even if agreed on [/settled] this with Ren, but it isn’t really like a vow” Kyouko continues to think and upright Kyouko is very interesting. [<- observation by the poster?] “What is a vow, even if the vow is with Ren, but from the original idea, it is still vague.” After hearing Kyouko’s clear explanation, Ren starts to get angry. Lecturing Ren says that there is a hidden motive for a guy to give clothes to a girl. If one doesn’t guard one’s shoulder or waist, it will make one think that she’s a pushover and indifferent woman. Because Ren is angry, the mood isn’t too rigid as if they are talking normally, this made Kyouko relieved. At the end, Ren tells her that if such a thing were to happen again, she is to tell him first about it. Kyouko challenges him by asking how he wants her to say it. Edit: Additional details are from here. After seeing Kyouko together with Kijima, Ren shows his gentleman smile. Soon, Ren is surrounded by girls while Kyouko and Kijima are surrounded by guys who ask if they are going steady. Overhearing that, Yashiro goes into a panic over angry Ren. Then someone goes ‘!!!No, I will protect my purity as if my life depended on it.’ or probably, Ren remembering that..then Ren uses some excuse that they are going to be interviewed and takes Kyouko away. Afterwards, their time together starts when they are in some other room where the lecturing happens.
Then, there is more clarification here since it is a bit hard to incorporate it to the teaser above so I separated it. ^^; Simply said, without thinking [/because she is thinking of something else], Kyouko let Kijima into making her wear a gown and be his escort that she will pull [/cling] on his arm. If Kyouko knew of Kijima’s true selfishness, she should refuse because before (after Shou’s kiss), she made a vow with Ren that she won’t let herself be touched by other guys and she will protect her purity. Afterwards, Kyouko would go into soul-searching as to why she made this vow with Ren. She doesn’t understand her own intention (why is it necessary to make this vow with Ren). Ren has heard Kyouko talking to herself while doing her soul-searching. He got angry and starts to teach her not to be wanton with other guys, accept clothes given to her, and put arm around shoulder[?] for she would seem to be a frivolous woman. Then, he said that if this kind of thing happens, she should first tell him. Since she doesn’t need to be in actress mode and she can still deal/interact with Ren, Kyouko is relieved. (Because if Ren is in angry mode, it doesn’t make Kyouko go into doki-doki mode.) Provoked Kyouko asks Ren, “What do you want me to do?” (PS. Kyouko has progressed since she can be provoked.) Ah, there are some discrepancies but I think we can more or less get the gist of it all. Just check with the scanlations for clarifications and details. It will fun to guess how Ren is going to answer her. It seems to be a lose-lose situation because if he says something like being in love with her then, this might really scare her off if she realizes their feelings are mutual..or maybe not. ^^; If he answers her as if it is no big deal type, then, she might be depressed or her feelings are one-sided. Hm..it seems that they can now talk to each other as ‘equals’ in a way unlike before. Hehe, and she is now relaxed when he is angry instead of being scared =P Anyway, ah..I think the series is going on a break so the next chapter might be after a month. ^^; Next chapter will be on April 5th. Rihito looks surprised over this. Kento says that he thought Rihito came to kill him. Rihito asks why. Kento replies, "Why? ..because.. [I'm] Mei's wedding partner.. The one determined is me.." Suddenly Rihito puts his hand around surprise Kento's neck [to strangle him] and pushed him down on the bed. Kento looks nervous then he closes his eyes as if he is accepting his fate. Rihito tells him to at least resist a bit. Kento smiles and says, "Ah..I know it, that the one that girl truly likes isn't me, (Without me, this world will turn around better.) if I die, Mei will also be more relaxed.." Rihito just looks at him quietly before releasing his grip. As he sits up, Kento coughs for a while [from being choked]. He is puzzled then he sees Rihito heading out the door. Without looking at his younger brother, Rihito bids Kento goodbye and tonight, he is going to take Mei. [<- the word is ‘hug’ but sometimes it means to have sex.] While Kento looks surprised, Rihito turns to him and says that he is also pretty much at his limit. After Rihito left, Kento still looks stunned before becoming speechlessly flustered. He grips the blanket then, curses. At Mei's room, Mei sadly says that she's home. Rihito welcomes her back. He tells her to quickly change her clothes for it is almost time for dinner. Mei thinks that Rihito is acting the same as before even if those things had happened. They were surprised by some knocks on the door. It is Xiang and Fei. They apologize to Mei for the interruption though Rihito should more or less hand over his duties to them. "Because you are no longer Mei's butler."
Rihito bows to leave but Mei tells him that there's no need for him to leave. Mei angrily tells the two to leave for she doesn't trust them yet. Fei tries to protest that Kintarou-sama.. Mei says that if they are really her butlers, shouldn't they first consider her wish. Xiang says that she is right and they will do it as she wishes but this situation will continue only until the day of her marriage with Kento. After the two leaves, there is a silence between the two. Flustered Mei calls out to Rihito and says, about that.. Rihito goes to her and touches her face. They look at each other. Rihito tells her that her eyes are swollen, so something cold should be put on it. Mei thinks that if Rihito takes her then, she won't be at a loss again. Outside, Xiang says to make 'him' disappear then that side of the younger brother.. Fei says that it can be done but why. Xiang says, "In order to push Shibata Rihito into a dead-end. If the younger brother is dead, who do you think will be the number 1 suspect?" Soon, Mei and Rihito join the others in the dining hall. While watching Rihito serving Mei, Miruku comments that those two are acting normal. Claris comments that it is a waste to worry about her but observant Fujiko notices that Mei is looking melancholic. That night, Mei is in bed. She remembers asking Fujiko if something is weird about her because if it is the her before, she will not be at a loss in front of her grandfather and she would loudly declare, ‘I like Rihito-san’. Fujiko told her that it is alright and it isn’t strange at all. Fujiko attributed it to Mei growing up and starting to notice all sorts of things. “Do not be impatient. Until that time comes, the answer will naturally become obvious and then it will just come out. And, it will be— regardless of any worldly common sense, rules, taboo.. it cannot be hindered.” While Mei is sleeping, Rihito with a loosened collar, looks down on her.
Hm..I think this will be a combo Mei-Fujiko arc since Fujiko is being shown frequently in this arc. I just realized that one of the other reasons why the brothers’ mother chose Kento to be the one to be adopted is because he is really not fit to be a butler. It is quite rigorous and exhausting that Kento’s body cannot handle it. He is more suitable as a pampered royalty for his talents and charisma. Actually, I forgot or rather didn’t know that he is sickly though I somewhat remembered that is probably the reason why he grew up with his grandfather. Well, since it was mentioned how their parents pampered Kento before, I guess their parents believe that grown ups are on their own so they do not seem to show any care when their children are in a seemingly life and death situation. Okay, maybe because it isn’t a real grave situation that they don’t seem to worry. ^^; I kind of find it weird for them to be that caring for Kento then. ^^;; Hm..it seems that Kento is the ‘odd one’ since his parents and Rihito have a ‘cold-type of personality’ who can hide their feelings well. The two brothers are really opposite of each other since one is high in IQ while the other is in EQ. It is kind of sad that Kento has really thought of himself less to the point of thinking that he will be of more service to Mei if he dies. Mei is right in worrying about him. I wonder if one of the reasons Rihito said that is to agitate Kento to do something though I think he is really serious about it. Maybe, it is just a ‘gentleman way’ of informing the rival that he is going to get the girl tonight. Anyway, at least that will be an alibi that Rihito is with Mei and not busy murdering Kento. ^^; Of course, I think those two butlers won’t be that stupid of doing that without a tight case of pinning Rihito down. Hm..they seem to be desperate to plan to pull that of, just to get to Mei. I think Kintaro is playing around with these two because I have a feeling he knows what they are planning but he is using them to test Mei and Rihito. About Mei’s hesitation, I guess it is indeed mainly because Kento said that he is leaving her. If he didn’t say that, Mei would have easily told her grandfather that she wants Rihito. Yuulin suddenly remembers about the medicine. She takes it out and tells him to take this as a gift. She says that it is an energy drink which can make his tiredness disappear. Reishou becomes a whimpering puppy and says that he doesn’t like medicines. Yuulin shouts at him for acting like a kid, and just take it for the meantime. Reishou blushes and takes the vial. He smiles and thanks her. Yuulin blushes over this. Thinking that even if she is acting as the imperial concubine, she would want to least become a little bit of use to him. Yuulin tells Reishou that if there are times when he is reluctant/having difficulties [at work], then he should do some fainting type of thing. Reishou just sheepishly says that it is burdensome if it is handled that way. Yuulin thinks that she doesn’t quite understand the problems at his work but at least, she can manage the health issue. Even so, how things in this world can turn out into something someone doesn’t expect. The next day, Yuulin is surprised to see flustered Kouju approaching her. Yuulin is surprised and asks if they have an appointment to meet that day. Distressed Kouju apologizes to Yuulin over something that she has done and she absolutely didn’t do it deliberately. Yuulin tries to calm her down and asks her what happened. Crying Kouju tells her that the medicine she gave Yuulin yesterday isn’t an energy drink but rather, it seems to be a love potion, according to her family’s pharmacist. It is to attract love with the opposite sex who is at one’s side or it could perhaps be used by a couple to reconcile again after a quarrel. Kouju tearfully says that it is quite rude of her to give such a gift to a happy couple such as His Majesty and Her Highness. Trembling Kouju is really scared over how angry Reishou will become because of this. Yuulin is aghast for Reishou has caused a trauma in Kouju’s heart. Yuulin quickly tries to pacify Kouju by telling her not to cry, it will be alright and he isn’t angry because he hasn’t drink it yet. Kouju asks if it is true, then that’s good to hear. She asks Yuulin to please throw that medicine away. After Kouju left, Yuulin begins to wonder what to do. She said those things in order to pacify Kouju but she already gave it to Reishou. She becomes really tense that she gave a love potion to Reishou but she tells herself to first calm down and deal with this is a composed manner. She thinks that based on how Reishou reacted to the medicine yesterday [thinking that it must have tasted bad], he definitely hasn’t drink it yet.
Soon, Yuulin nervously asks Reishou about the medicine yesterday. “Did you already drink it..?” Reishou seems surprised by this but he tells her that he didn’t drink it. Blushing Yuulin exclaims that regarding that, it turns out that there has been a mistake for it seems that the after-effect is really bad so she wants it back. Yuulin mentally apologizes to him for lying because she just wants to get it and throw it away without mentioning that this is Kouju’s mistake since one can be made to disappear, for giving a love potion to the king. To Yuulin’s shock, Reishou apologizes and says that he gave it to someone else. Yuulin asks to whom he gave it to. Still looking puzzled, Reishou says that it is Houen. While Yuuli is going into disbelief mode, Reishou explains that it seems that because he skipped work, Houen got involved in it that he wasn’t able to finish his work. Flashback: Reishou pitied Houen for looking totally exhausted while still trying to work. Reishou asked him if he is alright. Houen told him not to worry about him. Because of that, Reishou couldn’t help but give that medicine to him. End flashback. Reishou says that anyway, Houen looked really happy over it so whatever after-effect it had, he probably won’t mind it. Yuulin falls down on the floor for the medicine is given to Houen who thinks that she should just stay at the harem. While puzzled over her reaction, Reishou worriedly asks calls out to Yuulin. Later on, Reishou goes to see Gen about the medicine that he asked Gen to investigate on a few days ago. [<- I think he meant some other medicine.] Gen becomes excited and asks if it is that energy drink. It turns out that Reishou had it check on before and then, while thinking that he hates medicines, he gave it to Houen. Beaming in happiness, Gen asks if it is that energy drink that Her Highness has given to him. “How can I say this.. It’s actually a kind of energy drink. Hohoho, this is something that oldies would be anxious [/worried] about..” Aghast, Reishou tells him to clearly explain it. To his surprise, Gen tells him that it is a medicine that makes one go doki-doki in love, or in simple terms, it is love potion and he didn’t expect Yuulin to actually have a backbone to do that. [It seems that Gen is thinking of it as some sort of Viagra-type of medicine =P] While Reishou is still in disbelief that it was a love potion, he imagines what Yuulin has been doing for a ‘healthy lifestyle’. Yuulin would tell him that to maintain his health, he should always drink radish and fresh ginger soup. She would also tell him that staying up all night is health’s biggest enemy and even if it is cold, he should be careful about catching a cold. Reishou thinks, “Yuulin? Towards me?” Then, he stops considering it when Gen is now imagining about having a heir soon and what the child would look like. Then, Reishou remembers flustered Yuulin telling her that it is a mistake.
Somewhere else, Yuulin asks Houen to give the medicine back to her. The two then exchange glares at each other. Irritated Houen says that is really baffling [for her to ask] but then, it is something bestowed to him by His Majesty so why would he give it to Yuulin. Yuulin nervously asks if he already drank it. Houen tells her not to say such foolish things for it is something given to him by His Majesty so how could he just easily drink it. He had carefully put in a container box where it can be cautious brought back to his house. Aghast, Yuulin asks why he did that. Houen tells her that Reishou is a terribly busy king that it is very important for him [Houen] when Reishou took time to worry about the health of an official like him. Flashback: Reishou held out a vial to Houen and said that it is said to be an energy drink, does he want it, and it might taste awful. End flashback. Houen tells Yuulin that medicine is proof of what happened so no matter what the reason is, he doesn’t plan on giving it to anyone. Yuulin tries to tell him that it isn’t so because Reishou really doesn’t want to drink it himself. Houen didn’t listen to what she says and just tells her that he doesn’t have idle time to talk with her about this so he’s leaving. Yuulin is shock for Houen is still a willful and stubborn guy. In her room, Yuulin rests at the sofa and thinks that she can only pray that Houen would keep on treating it as a memento and no one would drink it. “Haha, forget it..everything just won’t go smoothly..” She looks in surprise when someone holds up the leaf-decorated vial in front of her and asks, “—are you tired, Yuulin? Do you want this?” Yuulin quickly turns around to see Reishou. She tries to get the vial but Reishou holds it up from her reach. Yuulin exclaims that is the.. Reishou tells her that he gave Houen something else so Houen gave it to him to the point of even hurriedly going back home and returning it to him. Yuulin mentally called Houen an idiot. Yuulin insists that Reishou give it back to her. Reishou smiles and asks her what she plans to do after getting it back. “I think that it isn’t necessary for an acting married couple.” Yuulin nervously asks smiling Reishou if he already knows what’s inside. Reishou didn’t reply. Blushing in extreme embarrassment, Yuulin exclaims, “No, that’s not right, it is totally just a mistake!! I totally do not have any plans to give His Majesty a love potion to drink! Totally none at all! There is really none, not even a little bit, please believe me--” All what she said pricks Reishou [<- what she said means = not interested in him ^^;] Reishou starts to frown and look serious when Yuulin keeps on telling him that it is only a mistake.
To her horror, Reishou drinks the medicine. He then asks her, “—didn’t you give that to me? And you plan to give and use it to someone else, right?” Still in shock and wondering why he would drink it, Yuulin exclaims that is impossible for her to do that since using a love potion is quite unreasonable and one cannot achieve love that way. “It’s absolutely just a misunderstanding.” Yuulin is surprised when Reishou says that is true. To her shock, Reishou goes to the window and throws out the contents of the vial. Reishou smiles and tells her that he didn’t drink it. “I just pretended that I did. It’s okay not to use this. If one used it to make something easily become his[/hers], then it will be boring. *smiles at Yuulin who is looking at him* Unable to predict what will happen and for things to move not in accordance to what one wishes, is lots of fun, right.” Yuulin blushes as her heart is beating loudly. To her shock, Reishou asks if this drink is from Han Kouju. Realizing that it has been found out, Yuulin tells him that it is really just an accident so please do not get angry. Reishou thinks that he really cannot easily trust that family. Yuulin wonders if it is really fun. “Is that how it is? –even if one shouldn’t use a love potion, but for things to happen not as one wishes and if the person whom one likes cannot be attained no matter what, that will definitely be very painful--..” Later on, Reishou is holding a small plain vial and asks if that is the real energy drink. Yuulin says yes for Kouju sent them lots as an apology. There is a scene of crying Kouju tearfully saying that she made Touka made lots of that medicine. There is a box of six vials of energy drink on the table. Yuulin thinks that if she knew this is how it will turn out, it would have been better for her to tell Reishou the truth. Then, Yuulin exclaims, “So that’s how it is, Your Majesty! These should be very beneficial to your health! So, please drink all of it! This has already been checked by teacher.” [<- Chou Gen. That is how they call him as an elder.] Flustered Yuulin thinks that she should redeem back her reputation. Reishou laughs and tells her to drink it because if Yuulin is energetic, then he’ll also be energetic. This surprises and makes Yuulin blush really red. Yuulin exclaims that he hates the medicine [that is why he said that]. Yuulin thinks that the things in this world cannot change to what one wishes but incidentally, if something like this happens, it is for the best to hide it from the other person. The last scene is Jun angrily calling out to Yuulin as to what is that ‘depending on medicine for love-love’ stuff that Gen is talking about. Scared, Yuulin asks what he meant by that.
Hehe, I guess as a king, Reishou isn’t reckless enough to drink anything of unknown origin given to him. I guess he is suspicious where Yuulin got it. Hm..since the Han family has that kind of medicine, I wonder if they did plan to use that on Reishou in some way. It does seem that Kouju is the only one who is pure and naive in the family which is good for their purposes since she can easily get Yuulin’s guard down. It is really amusing that Houen got it and he really does look up to Reishou that he probably would have encased the medicine or something. Hehe, it is probably something Houen might pass on to the next generation. =P I guess Gen would be disappointed if he learns that it is all a mistake and a misunderstanding. Hehe, Yuulin’s denial had accidentally invoked Reishou’s jealousy. It is indeed tempting to use a love potion but it seems that Reishou isn’t into shortcuts and other from what he mentioned, I think it is less satisfying if he can easily get it. The raws are out in baidu. Cover page: Hinata and Anna on a date. ^^ Nanoka seems to be happy for Anna then Anna becomes gloomy over something..which is probably Mari related. In school again, Anna is horrified that Chiaki posted up a picture of Sou which she accidentally took regarding the sports event. I don’t know what Chiaki said but it seems that Anna is hopeless in removing it. She is really tense over Sou’s reaction to it especially if he knew that she was the one who took it. She spots Sou with his friend talking about it after they have seen it. To her surprise, Sou claims that he isn’t interested in knowing who took the picture. Anna looks somewhat sad-relieved over this. Then, Anna is in bed and looks somewhat depressed. She calls Hinata. Then, she cheers up after their talk. Soon, it is the day she has been waiting for. Mashiro meets up with her and to her surprise, Hinata is in the car, sleeping. I’m not sure over the reason why Hinata went along but anyway, while driving, Mashiro suddenly turns the car. To Anna’s shock, sleeping Hinata is now on her lap! She seems to have wakened him up. Then, Mashiro tells them something which shocks Anna. Maybe, he is teasing her. ^^; At the near end, based on someone’s translation in that thread, Hinata tells her that there are a lot of cute kids there which is probably squirrels or other animals. Anyway, the last part, he says, “I think that there is no other girl cuter than Anna.” That made Anna blushes really red and become timid. [Edit: Amai tagged that she read it as Hinata tells Anna he didn't think she had been cute as a child, which made her think that that date doesn't look like she has expected. Someone in baidu also mentioned about the date not as Anna expected it to be so.. Edit: 2 According to Airi, he said, 'We're going to a place with lots of kids. During practice of her quartet, Kahoko kept on making a mistake since she is playing too fast. They tell her that it seems that she isn’t in the mood so why doesn’t she go rest for a while. Kahoko can only keep on apologizing. At the outer hallway corridor, Kahoko wonders about Ryoutaro’s question. She thinks that it isn’t about not wanting to see Len. She sighs and says that Len has become really amazing. Then, the door opens and it is Len. The two look surprised at each other. Len greets her that it has been a long time. Kahoko says yes then she blushes and looks down. Len calls her name when Kahoko suddenly says that Len is really active for she has seen him in a lot of television programs and magazines. In school, he is always the topic in conversations. His performance is really good that she is startled by it. Surprised, Len asks if she went to see it. Kahoko says that she did and she realized the difference in their level. After hearing his performance, it seems that the difference is really huge. “Even if I’ve said that I’ll continue on striving hard here, but being like this, it could just plainly be a waste of time and energy.” Len looks shock that he asks what she is saying. “Is this..what you want to tell me?”
Meanwhile, Kahoko’s quartet members are wondering where she is that Aoi and Keiichi decide to go look for her. Ryoutaro sees them looking around for Kahoko [that he probably helps them to find her]. Back to the two, Kahoko looks surprised. Len asks her if what she told him can easily be taken back. “Is that it, Hino?” Kahoko is surprised then remembers that she is doing her best there in order not to lose to Len. Kahoko suddenly blurts out that it isn’t so. She stops then looks away and thinks, “—even if.. ..but..” Len looks irritated that he says, “You’ve made me... really disappointed.” Just then, Ryoutaro and others find them. Aoi happily greets Len and commends his outstanding performance. Len didn’t reply. Ryoutaro notices that something is wrong with Kahoko. Keiichi calls out to Kahoko that they should practice and Ousaki is waiting for them. When Len is puzzled about this, they explain to him that they are practicing their performance and they are in a quartet. Len looks serious then he tells Kahoko, “With your performance being like this right now, I think there’s no value to listening to it attentively.” While everyone looks surprise over what Len said, Len bid them/her goodbye. Ryoutaro calls out Len and asks what he meant by that but Len just passes by him and left. Ryoutaro seems to look surprised over Len’s expression. Aoi asks Kahoko what happened between her and Len. Kahoko is still shell-shocked over Len’s comment that he is disappointed with her.
Ah, such a careless unthinking remark soured everything. Maybe, Kahoko just casually vocalize her lack of self-confidence. Most probably, the reason why Len likes her is her perseverance so what she said is a major turnoff for him. ^^; This worsen since Kahoko didn’t bother correcting what she said and made Len think that she is really serious when she said that. Hehe, it is indeed a disappointing return for Len. Hm..I think that we would have a major damage control in the next chapter which happens to be the last chapter with 40 pages. I get a feeling that the others will help the two patch up and Ryoutaro might have a key role in it. Hm..it could end with Kahoko’s performance with her quartet. So, will Kahoko achieve her dream and love -> be happy in the end? I think that is what is written in the teaser. Outside the cafe, Cedric calls Gerard to report but he hears Gerard is breathing hard. Cedric apologizes if he was resting. Gerard says it’s nothing so just report. From Gerard’s voice, Cedric realizes that something is wrong that he asks if he.. In a hospital room, with doctor, nurse and another bodyguard, probably, Gerard says that he only cooked [/eat?] a lot of seasonings and the smell of lavender made his chest hurt. He tells Cedric that he just wants to take a break but in the end, he got careless. He asks Cedric if he is angry again. Worried Cedric says that he wants to go back. He apologizes that from today on, he will go against Gerard’s orders. “Please let me return to England.” Later on, Usui returns to his apartment. When he opens the door, angry Maria tries to hit him with a model katana but Usui manages to catch it between his hands. Usui asks what this is about. Maria says that he should be prepared to be scolded. Usui says that they should go inside first. He closes the door and snaps the katana. Maria is furious that he snatched Misaki away. Usui confirms to her that they are really a couple. Maria scolds him about getting Misaki involved in all this. She tells him that the Walker blood flows in his veins so he ought to know his position. Usui says that he is already estranged from that family and he is now just an adopted son. Maria confides to Usui that she is suppose to get him to study at Miyabigaoka but after meeting Misaki, love made her unable to decided what to do since for Misaki, the happiest place there is, is to be with Usui. Maria didn’t inform them about Misaki. When Usui asks why, Maria angrily greets him Merry Christmas and he should thank her. Usui realizes that it is because of her that Cedric suddenly disappeared then. Maria informs him about Gerard being sick and only family members knew about this since it isn’t advantageous for others to know that the only son heir is in that condition. It seems that this isn’t the first time that he got sick and Maria suspects that they plan to make Usui the second one in line to be heir. Maria says that even if she knows this, she cannot just, not do her job and she is in no position to disregard the Walker family’s problem even if this will hurt Misaki. Maria advises him not to believe that he will always have this kind of life there, and it is a necessity for him to abandon that kind of relaxed [/easy going] way of thinking. Usui looks serious.
Soon, it is time to go back to school since it is a new school term. Everyone greet each other back a good morning and the three idiots miss being scolded by Misaki. =P Then, Usui greets her a good morning. She greets him back and notices that something is wrong with him..it seems that he is planning to handle things on his own. Misaki lets some other guy check the uniforms of the students going in. Misaki thinks that as lovers, he still won’t ask her help regarding his issues but then, it isn’t the same as before anymore. Usui is surprised that Misaki followed him to the shoe lockers. She thinks that if he is going to say ‘it has nothing to do with Ayuzawa’, she is going to send him flying. Usui tensely asks what he did wrong but Misaki already grabs him and tells him to go with her. The other students are whispering that Misaki is picking on Usui again and it is because she is jealous that Usui can do anything. Inside a room, Usui says that everyone had misunderstood it again and they would probably not believe that they are lovers. To Usui’s surprise, Misaki wants to keep it a secret from the school since she is the president. Blushing, she tells him that if the others knew about it, she doesn’t know what to do [with him] in front of the others. Turning around, she says that she want to avoid impulsive feelings especially since it will be graduation trip soon. Usui takes out the scarf that she gave her and put it on him. He asks blushing Misaki if he also cannot wear it there. Misaki frantically tells him to remove ‘that thing’. Usui tells her not to keep saying ‘that thing’ because this is his most important thing. “This is a scarf that My GIRLFRIEND knitted for me- It will be such a waste if I don’t show it off.” Blushing Misaki looks tense since Usui got her on that. There is a flashback of Usui telling Maria if that is a carefree way of thinking. “I’ve already decided not to give up. No matter what path I chose, if it is to sacrifice something, the only thing that I won’t sacrifice is Ayuzawa. I think that only being with Ayuzawa, no matter what happens, I can get through it.” End flashback. The last part is Misaki trying to get the scarf but Usui won’t give it and it is knitted specially for him. Misaki tensely tells him not to tell the others that she did it for him. Usui teases her about how he is going to do that and he really wants to show off to someone. Misaki asks for the scarf again.
I had a sudden deja vu about ‘being able to go through anything as long as s/he is there’. Hehe, it seems to be happening recently in some series that I’m summarizing. Too bad we didn’t get to see them in a wedding outfit. Hm..it seems that Gerard is the opposite of Usui in terms of health. If what he said is true, little things can make him sick. As I mentioned before, since Usui is going to be the next in line, this is probably one of the reasons why Gerard doesn’t like Usui aside from having a half-brother. Anyway, I think that can pretty much rest assure us that Usui isn’t going to give up on Misaki = no plans to hurt her as Maria thinks he might. Soon, in the classroom, the two guys are still giving the two embarrassed Kaji-s knowing looks. Abe teases them by telling his friend, “Ah, have you seen it? [my darling] wife.” The other guy replies, “Of course, I did, Abe-kun. Geez, those two, they would unexpectedly do lovey-dovey stuff within the school” Abe says that’s right, they aren’t embarrassed at all. To Kotori’s embarrassment, they tell each other that Kotori had pushed Yukito down and it’s really inconsistent with her external appearance for it turns out that she is quite enthusiastic [/passionate about this]. Kotori tries to deny that it isn’t so. Abe asks her how can that be, when she obviously initiated the attack. Kotori insists that even if it seems like that, but it really isn’t like that. Blushing Abe asks what she meant by that and is it a tongue twister. Kotori tells them that they are so strange and she’s also getting infected by them. Abe laughs and says that is okay, it doesn’t really matter and there’s no need to be that embarrassed. “The two of you had already progressed to the last step of a relationship--” Kotori becomes shock that she exclaims what he meant by that. Putting his arm around speechless Yukito’s shoulders, Abe says, “Right?” Blushing Kotori still asks what Abe meant by that, why is he saying that and they still haven’t... Abe says that is okay, there’s no need to explain but then, being easily embarrassed are their [2 Kaiji-s] nature. Before leaving, Abe complains that their relationship has progressed smoothly that it makes him jealous. The other friend says not to mind that since it is just a bachelor’s tantrum. “Just continue on being romantically lovey-dovey, gambatte--” Kotori sheepishly smiles over it. She wonders out loud why it is like that and it felt as if things are somewhat strange. Kotori suddenly blushes since she realizes that Abe’s ‘gambatte’ before actually meant ‘that’. She happily tells Yukito what they should do, for they don’t want those two guys to misunderstand for in the end, won’t it become more troublesome. Kotori is surprised-puzzled when blushing Yukito asks if that is really strange..is that thing really strange.
At the restaurant, Kotori is working as the cashier. After serving her customer, she looks at the back to where Yukito is. Kotori blushes then wonders what Yukito meant by what he said. “Is he saying.. that for us, even if that happened, it also doesn’t matter? Is that it? So that means, with.. with Yukito.. Speak..speaking of that, since we are going steady, if that happens one day, then that won’t be all that strange.. Then..then that one day is when? Right now?! If I said that I’m not interested in it, then that’s a lie. But just considering this only from my side, I think that I cannot totally imagine it.. Not really, unless, of course if the other person is Yukito, I can also accept it. But we just made up! Eh? This has nothing to do with just recently making up, right? Even if regarding kissing and hugging, I really feel happy over it and I really like it.. *blushing* bu..but, is it alright? *looks at Yukito in the kitchen again* ..Yukito, do you have this kind of thinking.. Bu..but.. isn’t it too fast?! No, perhaps, it’s a bit.. too slow? Ugh.. it feels like the more I think about it, the more I don’t understand..” Kotori’s monologue is interrupted when Yamagami taps her shoulder and tells her that if she has time to turn left and right [<- looking at Yukito then back out the cashier], then, why don’t she go back to work. Kotori freaks out and apologizes to him. Later on, Keigo greets Kotori ‘good work’ at the hallway and asks if she has finished her work for the day. Kotori says yes and she greets ‘good work’ back to him. Keigo then asks her if it is convenient to talk now. Kotori asks what it is. Keigo tells her that his school has a cultural festival next month so if Kotori has time, would she want to go. While Kotori is thinking over this, Yukito has seen them together and eavesdrop on them.
Noticing that Kotori is hesitating, Keigo assures her that he doesn’t have any strange [/different] meaning to it. He tells her that even Haruna will go. “If you want, you can also go with your boyfriend. You can also treat this as a way of apologizing to you regarding that thing before.. How about it?” Kotori tells him that she would need to talk this over with Yukito before giving Keigo her answer. Keigo says of course. He tells Kotori that his school’s cultural festival is really interesting and she should definitely go because it’s lots of fun. “If you want to go, just tell me about it, Bye.” Kotori says okay. After Keigo left, Kotori continues to think over this when Yukito calls out to her. He asks her if she is going home now. Kotori blushes and says yes. She looks surprised when he asks her if she wants to go to his house today. Hehe, I really love this silly couple. Their pose in the first part of the chapter is hilarious. They just gives their friends a lot of ammunition to tease them =P I can imagine them years later and they will still talk about that funny incident. Kotori is also becoming more confident in expressing her feelings. Of course since they are new at this, there are still the awkwardness and overly thinking of what to do. Hm..it seems that Yukito can still be jealous of Keigo that he would suddenly invite her to his house and I think she would agree to it. I do think that they are going to do it but I’m also thinking that I’ll probably laugh my head off before they actually do it since they really do the most amusing/funny things before the lovey-dovey. =P Scans by 17kkmh.com

To her surprise, Kaoru hugs her and says that if she needs help in changing her clothes, he can help. Towako angrily shouts that she refuses. Kaoru laughs and says that he’s kidding. Blushing really red, Towako points at him and shouts that she would want to clearly tell him that no matter if he’s kidding or not, he isn’t allowed to say such strange things and unless it is necessary, he is not to get too close to her. “If you don’t, then I won’t be your partner anymore! You better promise!” Looking at her with sad puppy eyes, Kaoru says that he doesn’t have self-confidence on that. While angrily thinking what’s with that miserable look, Towako angrily shouts why [he has that look?]. Soon, she is cooking while angrily thinking that it wasn’t easy for her to change her impression of Kaoru. Sitting at the dining table while looking at her cooking, Kaoru asks her if it’s done. Towako angrily shouts that it isn’t. Kaoru happily looks at her then looks somewhat sad upon seeing the ring on her thumb. Soon, he sees some smoke. Kaoru asks if there is something burning. While holding a pan that is emitting dark smoke, aghast Towako tells him that he is mistaken. Kaoru sweatdrops and says that seeing what’s happening is not really assuring. Soon, Kaoru looks at all the burnt food on the table and asks, why. Towako timidly tells him not to ask that and Tsubaki usually helps her in cooking. Kaoru says that before they were married, they lived together for a while so Yuuga didn’t say anything about it. Towako tells him that Yuuga himself can cook. Kaoru tries to impress her that if it is about using some utensils in putting food on the plate, he can do it, too. With a bit of this and that, Towako’s food looks gorgeous. Towako cannot believe and says that it is really amazing that it seems really delicious. Kaoru tells her that only the external appearance has changed but the taste is still the same. Towako tastes some and it is horrible. Towako gloomily asks why when she cooks everyday and could it be that she doesn’t have a gift for cooking. Kaoru tells her to forget about it, itadakimasu. Towako thinks that he isn’t a bad person but isn’t a nice one either since he bluntly tells her that the food tasted horrible so, she would want to help him. While watching him eat, Towako’s vision sudden become blurry again. While wincing in pain, Towako wonders what’s happening for it came back again. She closes her eyes and opens it again to see that her vision is still impaired. Kaoru asks her what the matter is. Towako wonders if she should tell him that there is something weird about her eyes. She closes and opens her eyes again. To her surprise, her eyes are okay again. Kaoru asks if she isn’t feeling well. Towako says that it is alright. While Towako is puzzled since her eyes are okay again, Kaoru laughs and tells her to be really okay, because if she collapses, he would have to forfeit the competition. While nervously saying yes, Towako thinks that if that happen, she will cause trouble for Kaoru and his father, also her eyes would immediately become normal so it is impossible for her to become blind. She decides not to tell Kaoru about it.
Looking out the moon, Towako thinks, “Yuuga, what are you doing? Now that I think about it carefully, from the time that we’ve been together, this is the first time when we lived separately. I’m a bit uneasy... on this night that I’m without you.” Yuuga is also looking at the same moon [and most probably misses her, too.] The next day, Kaoru, together with Towako, is practicing on his flower arrangement. When Kaoru asks for a lily, Towako’s eyes are suddenly in pain again. Kaoru asks her what happened. Towako apologizes then looks at the flowers in front of her but everything is blurry. Towako becomes really tense when Kaoru begins to notices that something is wrong with her. He asks her if she cannot see. Towako nervously tells him that is impossible and she’s just looking for that lily. Kaoru holds out a flower to her. Since she couldn’t see it, she says that it is that. To her surprise, Kaoru says that it is a daffodil. Towako nervously laughs and says that is right for how could she make a mistake about it. Fortunately, Kaoru cannot be fooled that he asks her when this started. Realizing that she cannot hide this anymore, Towako tells her that it started yesterday. Kaoru holds her shoulders and asks her why she didn’t tell him earlier. Towako says that it is because it comes and goes. Occasionally, it is just blurry, and then she can see clearly. Kaoru stands up and tells her to come for she is going to have it checked by a doctor. Towako tells him not to do that because if they got in touch with the outside world then the Lotus Exhibit will.. Kaoru exclaims that this is a special case so they can. When Towako tries to protest, Kaoru exclaims, “How can I just leave things be when you are in this kind of situation!” To their surprise, Tsubaki appears in front of them and tells Towako that Kaoru is right for if they leave things be, it might worsen and Towako shouldn’t be too careless. Towako and Kaoru are shock to see her there that Kaoru asks since when was she there. Tsubaki apologizes and says that she is there from the start since she has been instructed to follow Towako. Towako tells Tsubaki to keep this a secret but to the two’s shock, Tsubaki calls Utsugi on a radio type of device to inform him that there is something wrong with Towako’s eyesight so can he arrange for a doctor to check Towako. Towako is freaking out while Kaoru thinks that he really doesn’t understand what these people are thinking. Then, to Towako’s surprise, Tsubaki whispers to Utsugi to keep this a secret. Tsubaki tells them that if they let a doctor from Renjou’s family to check on it, it is possible that they will learn that the couple got in touch with the outside world. “If it’s Gokurakuin’s doctor, we can secretly bring him here.” Kaoru thanks her for considering everything. Tsubaki says, “But of course, based on the outcome of the diagnosis, there is also the possibility that I’m going to bring Miss Towako back!” Towako smiles over this then thinks that she is making everyone worried, so what’s wrong with her eyes.
Soon, a doctor says that this is a special kind of ailment for it seems that optical nerves have an inflammation. To their relief, the doctor says that her eyes will heal but then, her eyes would deteriorate to the point of becoming blind. Towako is shock that she says that he just said that it will heal. The doctor says that it is alright for the blindness is temporary. After the vision deteriorated, the cells will reactivate and her eyesight will slowly recover. To their disappointment, the doctor says that it will take around a week for her eyes to recover so she won’t be okay during the competition. Kaoru calls Tsubaki to quickly bring her master back home. Towako asks if he is going to give up and if he did that then.. Kaoru smiles and says that it is inevitable and he originally doesn’t want to inherit the family business. “This can be used as a good alibi, how lucky.” Towako tells him that he’s lying when he obviously seriously thought about it and wanted this [to be heir], compared to anyone. Kaoru tells her that even if the doctor says that it will heal but for her being like that, does she think that he would still ask her to continue to participate in the contest. “Don’t belittle me. I can think of other ways regarding my family affairs.” Towako is frustrated for obviously someone needs her help, and someone isn’t happy [<-Yuuga] yet what she is doing this anyway. Towako quickly heads to the door and exclaims that she can see. She knows how the things are set-up and she can differentiate flowers. Opening the door, Towako looks back and says, “Renjou Kaoru, I will participate in this! I will definitely make you into the family head!” Kaoru tries to protest but Towako puts on her slippers and goes to the garden. She tells him that if she really cannot see, she can still remember the different kinds of flowers’ touch and smell. She starts naming the flowers in the garden but she is stumped on one flower. She tries to look at it and smell it. She says that she cannot quite discern what it is. She didn’t notice that Setsuna, together with Utsugi, is beside her. Setsuna worriedly looks at her then turns to glare at Kaoru who didn’t react. It is only when Setsuna turns to leave when Towako notices that someone else is there. Towako asks who is there. Utsugi quickly says that it is him. Towako asks why he is there and he should have stayed at the house. Utsugi nervously says that he might be disturbing them so he’ll go ahead. While Utsugi follows Setsuna, Towako wonders if Utsugi used to be that tall before. Her eyes are bad now but it seems that there are two people. Kaoru touches her shoulder. Towako turns to him and asks if it is Kaoru. She tells him that see, there’s no problem with her so let her join. Suddenly, Towako’s eyes are okay and she sees Kaoru looking troubled-sad as he says, ya, I’ll leave it to you. To his shock, Towako tells him not to have that kind of expression. To his anger and embarrassment, Towako says that she can see again. While Towako is happy that her sight has returned, Utsugi asks Setsuna if it is alright if he didn’t talked with Towako when it is rare for him to come here. Setsuna didn’t answer. He just asks Utsugi if his sister’s eyesight will really be restored. Utsugi says of course for that doctor is the same one who cured Setsuna of his illness. Setsuna is really suspicious as to why this thing happened at this time.
After taking a bath, Towako towels herself dry while looking at her vague image on the mirror. Towako worriedly thinks that if her eyes don’t recover, she won’t be able to see anything including Yuuga. Then, she pulls the towel and hears something falls on the floor. To her fright, she realizes that it is Yuuga’s ring which got caught on the towel. When Kaoru comes in, he finds Towako sitting on the floor. He asks her what happened. Towako tells him that Yuuga’s ring fell. Kaoru looks down and sees that the ring is near his foot. He picks it up and is about to give it to Towako but he stops when Towako nervously says that she suddenly lost it and Yuuga will definitely hate her to death. She starts crying because Yuuga is already very angry and yet for her to lose the exchanged ring, she no longer has any face to look at him. Kaoru suddenly remembers how Towako would always be strong/defensive/tearful because of Yuuga before. Kaoru clenches his fist with the ring and mutters that she is always like that, ‘as if her life depended on it’, regarding Yuuga. Towako asks what he said but to her surprise, Kaoru hugs her and kisses her on the forehead. Towako asks him what he is doing. She sees a blurry image then her eyes become well again that she sees him smiling. Kaoru asks if she has calmed down now. Kaoru tells her that he will look for her ring and she should go to sleep already since it will be 21pm soon. He will be in a difficult position if she falls asleep there. Towako insists on looking for the ring but he urges her to prepare to sleep since it is only 10 minutes before 21pm. Holding her up, Kaoru says that he will guide her if she cannot see. Flustered Towako backs away and says that there is no need, she can see. She stops when she notices Kaoru’s sad expression. She says that she’ll look for it tomorrow, good night. Towako wonders why she wavered. Is it because that he is kinder now as compared before or it is because for a second, she has seen his miserable-sad expression. She tucks the blanket over her head. Blushing, she wonders what’s up with her to suddenly pay attention to Kaoru. “Yuuga, sorry (6x) The ring..I’ll definitely find it!” Meanwhile Kaoru sadly looks at the ring on his palm. He tells himself that he is like a kid to do such a childish thing. “After the Lotus Exhibit ends, I’ll settle up everything so, only for now..” Meanwhile, Yuuga is practicing his knowledge about the flowers by saying what it is called before opening the label if he is right. Yuuga happily says that he got it all right. He shouts to Saho that he remembered everything but she is nowhere to be found. Yuuga thinks that Saho has been acting strange ever since they got back. Yuuga looks at Towako’s ring then says to forget about it because this strange situation will end soon.
Outside the house, Saho is tensely holding a radio type of device and calls Ritsuki. She asks if it is okay now and she want to know Towako’s situation. In a dark room [because the blinds are closed], Ritsuki asks if she is talking about Towako’s eyes, well, there are no news yet and he hasn’t heard if they forfeited. Saho is relieved about that. Ritsuki asks if she is worried and isn’t it a necessity for her to win. He tells her that this is just a situation and no matter what, Kaoru will inherit the Renjou School so Saho ought to do her best for herself. Saho says yes. She tells him that Yuuga will become suspicious so she’s going back. Then an older guy, along with a couple of other guys [<-the judges], ask Ritsuki if he is joking when he said ‘situation’ since they are serious because how could everything be given to that youngster when Renjou School has gotten this far thanks to them. Renjou School is now very strict that they couldn’t get a permit. Even if they are substitute teachers/tutors, if they do not manage a training class, it fundamentally has no benefit to them. It will be easy for them to get that power easily if only Kaoru’s father steps down and they put up Saho as replacement. “And beside, although things have arrived until now, Renjou family’s funds are an absolute necessity but this guy says that he can assist us.” Ritsuki smiles and says that is right because their [Ritsuki’s] company will give their all out support for them [judges]. One of the older guys exclaims that is exactly what they are looking for. The others ask what exactly Ritsuki’s goal is. Pulling down the blinds a bit, Ritsuki says, “I already said that I’ve been taken cared of by Miss Mizuno but what’s more important is.. --..*smiles* I want to step over the Five Main Families.” [<- I will use that as a title so capital letters.] Soon, it is the day of the formal competition. Kaoru tells Towako that they are going. Towako says okay. Towako can no longer see a thing. Yuuga overhears some people saying that young master Kaoru and his partner seem to be in good terms/very intimate. Yuuga is furious when people gossip at how close Towako is with Kaoru since she is holding tight on Kaoru’s arm and in private, they must be mutually getting along too. While Yuuga is angry as to what’s up with the two, Kaoru notices him but to Yuuga’s surprise, Towako didn’t acknowledge him and they just pass by him. Then, Towako holds up her hand [probably Kaoru telling her to greet someone ahead or so that she won’t bump anyone]. Yuuga notices that Towako is no longer wearing his ring. Inside the building, Towako tells Kaoru to tell her if they come across Yuuga. Kaoru says yes. Towako fears how Yuuga will react when he sees her holding Kaoru’s arm tightly yet she couldn’t tell him about her eyesight, and also about the ring which she couldn’t find. Towako is trouble for she doesn’t know how to explain it to Yuuga since it is their wedding ring. Kaoru just sadly looks at her then looks away. Meanwhile, Saho checks the registration and is relieved that Kaoru and Towako are still joining the competition. The judge and his two friends greet Saho. Saho calls him Kurosan [黑衫; invented name]. Kurosan asks if she is nervous and tells her to ‘gambatte’ [/do your best]. Saho says yes, she’ll be under their care. Kurosan and others smile as they tell her what is she saying for she won’t lose because they are the judges. Saho looks surprised by this.
At dressing room A, Kaoru says that he has to say his greetings to everyone so is it okay for Towako to stay there. Towako says it is okay and she and Sawatari will stay put inside. Kaoru says that he will be back soon. Towako thinks that Kaoru is quite considerate and she is still bothered by over the ring and Yuuga but right now, she should concentrate on winning the competition. She is surprised when someone behind her says, ‘hey’. Towako realizes that it is Yuuga but she won’t dare look at him else he’ll notice that there is something wrong with her eyes. Yuuga asks her what’s with that attitude after they haven’t seen each other for some time and she’s sticking too close to Kaoru. Towako is shock for he has seen them. Towako says that it isn’t so...,and if she didn’t do that.. Yuuga asks what happened and was she threatened by Kaoru again. Towako says that it isn’t so, Kaoru treated her well and he’s helping her.. The agitated part of Yuuga is furious [high blood rising up] exclaims what she meant by that, being helped by Kaoru yet she won’t look at him [Yuuga], is she displeased and also about that missing ring. The calmed part of Yuuga says that there is definitely a reason, Kaoru is endlessly troublesome and maybe she removed the ring since it is more convenient that way when arranging the flowers. Angry Yuuga tells Calm Yuuga that he is really angry but the Calm Yuuga tells him that normally, he easily gets agitated. Yuuga decides to just ask Towako for his ring and they can exchange their rings back. Towako wonders what to do but she feels that she should tell him the truth. To Yuuga’s shock, Towako tells him that she couldn’t find it. So, Calm Yuuga and Angry Yuuga are quarreling again until Angry Yuuga punches Calm Yuuga away. =P Towako is surprised when she hears a bang. Yuuga has strike the table. Towako wonders what that sound is and she cannot tell if Yuuga is angry [since she cannot see his expression]. Yuuga puts her ring on the table and leaves. Towako realizes that she made Yuuga angry again after not seeing him for such a long time, but she fears that he’ll be more worried if he learns about her lost of sight. Towako stands up and tries to call him. She suddenly remembers how Yuuga is angry that she didn’t tell him [about the Ritsuki kiss before]. Towako realizes that she is making the same mistake. Towako calls out, “Wait a minute, Yuuga! *gesturing to someone in front of her* I’ll tell you everything.. I..right now, I cannot see a thing, and I also do not know the reason for it.. *holding on the person in front of her* So Renjou Kaoru was helping me.. *flustered and teary-eyed* And also, the ring, it is because I was using the towel that it got caught in it and fell that I couldn’t find it, so..I’m really sorry, but I’ve always thinking of you, Yuuga. I wanted it to be shifted to an earlier date, I’ve always wanted to see you earlier..!” Ritsuki looks shock for it turns out that Towako has mistaken him for Yuuga. Seeing her tearful-sad expression, Ritsuku unconsciously holds her shoulder [to comfort her] but he suddenly pushes her away and leaves. This surprises Towako and to her horror, ‘Yuuga’ refuses her. Sawatari looks at the ring on the table. At some corner, Ritsuki is nervously laughing and asks what that was. He covers his face and looks somewhat flustered. “Suddenly thinking that I’m someone else.. the person she’s looking for isn’t me.”
Backstage, Towako’s hands are trembling and she wonders if it is because she was uneasy over what happened earlier. Kaoru holds her hands and assures her that everything will be okay. This calms Towako’s nerves and she remembers what her priority is right now, and that is to concentrate on the competition. When it is Kaoru and Towako’s turn, the audience notices that Towako’s eyes are closed. They wonder if that is Towako’s style in arranging the flowers but the flowers she chose are quite good. While Towako is feeling the flowers with her other senses, she remembers Kaoru telling her that it is okay for her to close her eyes since she cannot see anyway. Since her movements are swift and ordinary, they can make it appear that she is amazing since she is doing it all without looking. “I will make everything appear like a performance.” End flashback. Towako thinks, “Renjou Kaoru.. I believe you. Even if I cannot see, I still know that you can make the flowers perfectly bloom.” Towako is happy to overhear people saying that it seems as if the flowers are alive, it is in a form that no one can imitate and also that lily. Towako is relieved that everything went smoothly. While the judges are deliberating, Yuuga asks as to around what score should it be to be determined as a great design. Saho tells him that the full score is 100 points and to win usually around 80 points. While Saho is telling him about the possibility of having 90 points, she looks surprised as it was announced that Towako and Kaoru’s score is 68.37 points. Everyone is shock that Yuuga comments that Kaoru’s flower arrangement is actually quite good. The others find it too low and the judges are too strict. Saho remembers what Kurosan told her but she dismisses that it is impossible for the score to be rigged. Saho also wonders if Towako really cannot see [because Towako performed really well]. Sitting with the audience, Setsuna is worried about his sister. Towako thinks that overall, they are in third place. Kaoru assures her that they can still catch up. As he escorts Towako back, Kaoru’s father worriedly looks at Kaoru. Flashback: During the deliberation, Kaoru’s father protested over how low they graded Kaoru’s work. Kurosan and the other two judges gave the score of 4.67, 5.82 and 5.21 whereas the others gave the score of around 9 or 8. The others also ask why it is so low compared to the others. Kurosan defended himself by saying that it is a fair judgment for the others had forgotten what the important thing is – this is a competition on who will be the heir of the Renjou School. Even if Kaoru’s flower arrangement isn’t bad, he totally disregarded the Renjou School’s style and also that Flower Geisha is acting scandalously for closing her eyes during the competition. Kaoru’s father realized that Kurosan is out to discredit Kaoru. He continued to protest but Kurosan accused him of taking Kaoru’s side because he is a relative. Kurosan insisted that score is fair. End Flashback. Kaoru’s father bows and mentally apologizing to Kaoru [for not being able to help him].
Soon, it is Saho and Yuuga’s turn. On backstage, some people are whispering that Saho is the winning candidate because Kaoru got a really low score. They shut up when Kaoru glares at them. Towako realizes that Saho is really good. She wonders why Saho joined this competition and does she actually hate Kaoru..and Yuuga.. To Towako’s shock, some girls say that Saho’s Flower Geisha is really doing his best. They also say that they heard that he is Saho’s classmate, they are really a match. Towako’s imagination start to go wild if it is like they are happily decorating the flower arrangement, Yuuga is carrying Saho ala princess carry and they are now cutting the wedding cake. Towako tearfully holds the curtain and mentally exclaims that she doesn’t want that when he is obviously her husband. She remembers ‘Yuuga’ pushing her away so she starts to wonder if after the competition, they can make up just by talking to each other. Her thoughts are interrupted when someone exclaims what happened to Saho, since she stuck a flower in the wrong place. Towako asks Kaoru what happened but Kaoru is intently watching Saho who looks a bit nervous. Soon, the score is 78.37. Towako thinks that it is higher than theirs but everyone is talking about how low the scores of the two expected to win candidates especially since who the next successor is at stake. The announcement says that before the next competition there will be a 10 minutes break. Towako realizes that everyone has already participated yet they are in fourth place whereas Saho and Yuuga are in second place. The difference with the first placer is 15 points. She begins to doubt if they can still catch up but she dismiss that thought and thinks that it is a necessity for Kaoru to catch up. Meanwhile, Saho is walking alone at the hallway. She remembers what Kurosan hinted to her when they met earlier. Saho mutters out loud that the score she got is higher than she anticipated so in the end.. She is surprised when Kaoru who is behind her asks what this ‘in the end’ she is talking about. Kaoru says that [she is saying that] she deliberately try to lose yet she still gets a high score so in the end, those judges are protecting their own. “You already knew from the very start that they wanted to make you the winner.” Saho tries to protest that it isn’t so. Kaoru says that if that isn’t what she is planning then why she would participate in this Lotus Exhibit. “Could it be that you pity me that you deliberately try to lose that round?” Saho looks tense as she keeps on telling him that it isn’t true though she thinks that Kaoru should inherit the Renjou School if only he is serious in it since he already has the skill and reputation.
Irritated Kaoru says that she used to always stick around him before but because he wants to depart from Renjou School, he also drifted away from her. “Don’t you hate the idle me?” Saho tries to protest that it isn’t so, but Kaoru bluntly tells her, “Saho. I cannot become your ‘ideal’, so do not be infatuated with me again. *starting to leave* ..by the way, do not deliberately try to lose again.” After he left, Saho feels weak that she leans on the wall. She covers her mouth in shock and she is in tears. Yuuga approaches her and asks why she didn’t refute Kaoru for this isn’t because she thinks of him as her ideal nor was she [blindly] worshiping him. Saho laments that it cannot be helped because she is always showing her uncute side towards Kaoru. “It is the same this time around, until the end, I’ve only caused trouble to Kaoru and Gokurakuin-chan..and also Takatou. In the end, I’m really useless..” Yuuga grabs her shoulders and shook her. He exclaims, “Snap out of it! What about the troubles, from the start, you already know about that! But you still chose to do this! Since it is like that, you better finish it until the end! Besides, let me tell you clearly, I’m in more pain than you.” Saho looks surprised. She sweatdrops and apologizes for that is true. Yuuga angrily complains about having to memorize the different kinds of flowers and also Towako is sticking too close to Kaoru and she would even snub him. Saho nervously mutters, “Ah..That is because, --[her] eyes..” Yuuga looks at Saho and asks, what. At some other room, Ritsuki says that Saho hesitated again because Kurosan and others said too much. Kurosan denies that it is their fault and blames it on Rituski for failing to get Saho to completely become their comrade. They tell him that it also takes a lot of effort on their part to make most of the judges to put Saho on the first place by getting a higher score. “No matter what happens, she should definitely win first place..” Ritsuki laughs and coldly says, of course. Soon, Kaoru’s father announces the second/last round for judging. It is to make the Flower Geisha as the ‘container’ of the flower arrangement, in short, the participants are to put flowers on their partners on stage. Everyone is shock by this especially Towako and Yuuga who imagine themselves to be covered with flowers yet scantily clad/going XXX. In the dressing room, Kaoru says that it is quite unexpected that this is how the judging will be done in the next round wherein one is to make a beautiful flower arrangement to mutually echo with the Flower Geisha’s external appearance. He comments that since all the participants will be doing it all at the same time, it has its good and bad merits. Kaoru comments that he has an advantage on this since his father is into this kind of method [<- flower on the head =P]. Kaoru pulls Towako’s obi backwards and tells her not to worry. Towako tries to protest that Yuuga will be groped here and there by Saho. Kaoru pinches her face and exclaims that she will also be groped here and there by him. This made Towako realize that she will also be in the same situation but she has to be serious in the competition. While Towako is fretting about, Kaoru looks at her then asks if her eyes totally cannot see anything. Towako says it is so, her eyes are still like that. Kaoru smiles sadly and pats Towako’s head. Kaoru tells her that he is going to prepare a change of clothes for her before the contest takes place. As Kaoru goes out, Towako is puzzled by Kaoru’s gesture.
At some different hallway, Setsuna is really furious with those judges for letting his sister be ravaged by that guy. [<- meaning this second part of the contest] While Setsuna laments over how useless he is, Utsugi calls him and tells him to come over for a while. Setsuna asks about Utsugi’s investigation about what happened to Towako’s eyes. Utsugi says that the doctor said that there is a probability that it is a ‘medicine put in the food’ so he investigated Towako’s eat/drinking situation. There is no problem with the food/drinks in Kaoru’s mountain lodge for everything tested negative for the poison. There is only one time wherein Towako took something outside from that place and it is during the preliminary contest when Saho gave Towako a glass of water. Setsuna cannot believe it because Saho is Towako’s classmate. Utsugi says that there is a lot of eyewitness who has seen this and also, there is a guy behind Saho. Setsuna looks at the notebook/tablet computer and sees information on Nigami Ritsuki, age 21. Meanwhile, Yuuga is walking fast to catch up with Saho to ask her what she meant by what she said earlier about Towako’s eyes. Saho tries to deny it then changes the topic by asking him to bring her some salted plums which are very delicious. Yuuga says that she isn’t quite willful like this and it is normal to be pressured. Saho exclaims that she has to prepare. She quickly goes to her room and slams the door. She mentally apologizes to Yuuga and she will tell him everything after the competition. Yuuga is infuriated that everyone are like that [<- doing whatever they want] and what the heck is going on. Soon, on backstage, Setsuna, together with Utsugi, says that the second round is about to start and he should immediately tell his sister. He is surprised when smiling Ritsuki appears behind him and asks, “Tell her what?” Meanwhile, the audience is talking about the white kimono that Kaoru’s Flower Geisha is wearing. Then, they realize that it is a white kimono [used for weddings]. Someone comments that the flowers’ color will show if the kimono is white but then Kaoru is using only white flowers. While Kaoru is putting flowers around Towako’s collar, Towako is finding the flowers ticklish-itchy and it is particularly hard for her since she doesn’t know where it would be ticklish next = as to where he would stick the flower since she cannot see. Meanwhile, Saho tells angry Yuuga to stop glaring at the other side even if she understands how he feels. To Yuuga and everyone’s shock, Towako goes ‘ah’ then blushes since it is quite ticklish. This made Yuuga start thinking of wanting to slaughter Kaoru. =P Saho worriedly looks at Kaoru and thinks that he plans to gather attention by using white flowers and by conforming to the rules of flower arrangement, he will go for impact as his cutting edge. She remembers Yuuga telling her to finish it until the end. Saho tells Yuuga that she has always been running away but today, she wants to do her utmost best until the end. “So, I’m sorry.” To everyone’s shock except for Towako, Saho pulls open Yuuga’s robe that Yuuga becomes semi-topless. Blushing really red, Yuuga calls out Saho’s name but Saho keeps telling him that it will be alright.
Towako asks Kaoru why the audience is in an uproar, what happened. Kaoru says that it is about Yuuga. Towako nervously asks if Yuuga is posing with roses or he is cute like an angel. Kaoru thinks she has quite an imagination but it is sexier than that and this is something he cannot bring himself to tell her. Kaoru holds her shoulders and reminds her that right now, she should concentrate on putting all her attention to the competition. “After this has ended, I will quickly give you back to him, okay?” Towako apologizes to him as she remembers that this competition is very important to Kaoru. Looking somewhat sad yet smiling, Kaoru says, “I’m very grateful that you were able to accompany me until this part. No matter how this ends, I will commemorate this experience of being with you...” Soon, they are all busy then, time is almost up..the outcome is.. Kaoru designed Towako like a newly bride with all the white flowers which symbolizes purity. Meanwhile, the slightly open jacket which shows the contrast of flowers and the colors of his outfit makes Yuuga look beautiful and makes one wonder if he is really a guy. So, the winner should be between these two. And it was announced that the judges will be deliberating as to who will be the winner. Yuuga is furious as to what kind of joke is this, since that Kaoru would dress Towako up in a white kimono. “Speaking of that, her white kimono is more..” Then, Yuuga remembers how Towako looks in her white kimono when they got married, and how happy she looked. This made Yuuga calm down. Meanwhile, Towako is feeling strange for she thought that she will wear the white kimono only once in her life and even if she cannot see it, she feels that it must have looked amazing. She is really curious how Yuuga looked but what’s important now is to know who’ll win. Soon, Kaoru’s father sadly announces that Kaoru is second place and so, Saho is the winner. Everyone is shock by the announcement though others assume that it is because Kaoru got a low score in the first one but this means the Renjou School successor is.. Towako cannot believe that Kaoru lost. Saho tries to tell Kaoru’s father that this is so strange. While she tries to get the microphone from him, Kaoru grabs it and shouts for everyone to keep quiet. Kaoru says, “In the end, as everyone can see, even if it is quite regrettable but I’ve already done my utmost best so I don’t regret it. I did plan to start again.. [<- as the would be heir] *bows* I’ll be quitting Renjou School, thank you everyone for your care until today.” While everyone looks tense in disbelief, Kaoru looks up and bluntly says, “Then, what I wanted to say is, I’ll create a new school.” Everyone goes into shock again and sweatdrops. Towako thinks that it is so sudden. While Kaoru’s father shouts his name in disbelief, Kaoru tells everyone that regarding that, he’ll explain it in detail later on so that’s it.
In the dressing room, Kaoru is removing the flowers from Towako. Towako worriedly asks if it is really okay for giving his father and everyone else a panic like that. Kaoru tells her that it is okay, it will be resolved since even if he is alone, he can arrange flowers and he can also become the teacher. Towako says that she didn’t mean that. She is thinking that she feels responsible for if only she can see, she would be of more help to Kaoru. Kaoru looks at her then pats her head. “Didn’t I tell you? No matter how it ends, I’m still grateful to you, and I’m already very satisfied. Even if you cannot see but you would still want to help me, I won’t forget this..” Kaoru touches her face then gives her a hug. While blushing and thinking that it feels as if Kaoru is saying goodbye, Towako calls his name [as to what he is doing]. Kaoru whispers, “You will always like Yuuga, right.. Even if it is like that, I..” Kaoru lets her go and smiles at her. He tells her that he should go apologize to his father and creating a new school together ought to be very interesting. Towako blushes and wonders what’s with Kaoru a while ago. Before Kaoru leaves, he says that he remembers something. Holding out Towako’s hand, Kaoru drops Yuuga’s wedding ring on her palm and says, “I forgot to return this to you. The ring.” Towako freaks out over this and why he has it. Kaoru goes out and giggles over this before looking somewhat sad..then he runs off. In the other dressing room, Saho tries to tell Yuuga to wait for she isn’t finished removing all the flowers but Yuuga shouts that is enough since almost half of it is gone. When Yuuga is heading out the door, Saho tries to call him and say that she has something to tell him. Yuuga confides to her that it is really ironic that after seeing Kaoru’s flower arrangement, it reminded him of the time he got married with Towako. “At that time, I still do not quite understand it’s importance.. and I also have not thought that it is this troublesome. Marriage.. even if it is like this, since we are together, it is a kind of promise [/agreement].” Saho looks surprised as Yuuga leaves. She looks somewhat flustered and says out loud that she also should move by persuading everyone and towards Kaoru.. Suddenly, someone congratulates her. Ritsuki happily says that she’s amazing that she’ll become the heir, the wish will become a reality. Saho tells him that isn’t her plan and she is now going to politely refuse.. Then, she notices that flustered Setsuna and Utsugi are standing behind Ritsuki. She asks why Setsuna is there. Putting his arm around Setsuna, Ritsuki says that just now they become friends. Setsuna angrily says, “Like hell it is..” Ritsuki happily says, “He agreed to help, for my plan.” Saho asks what plan and what is Ritsuki talking about. Setsuna tells Ritsuki that he thought that Saho is his comrade but it seems she isn’t. Setsuna tells Saho, “Hey, you were tricked, this guy wants to use you, to get the Five Main Families..” Ritsuki looks dark that he pushes Setsuna down on the floor. With a dark smile, Ritsuki tells Setsuna, “You want to say it, then go ahead and say it. After today, it doesn’t matter even if everyone knows about my plan. Don’t be too impatient, I will prepare a complimentary ticket for you, Kanmitsuki [神觀月] Setsuna.” Setsuna looks shock upon hearing that. While Utsugi tries to help downcast Setsuna up, Ritsuki smiles at Saho and says, “Saho, you, also can no longer escape.”
Back to the dressing room, Towako is surprised when she hears the door suddenly opening. While Towako is trying to say ‘about that’, Yuuga quickly goes to her and hugs her. Towako blushes that she freaks out, “Wa..wait a minute, why are you hugging me again, Renjou Kaoru. What’s up with you today? Ah, right, this ring-- Hey, are you listening to me? *sweatdrop* Why does it feel that there is a cold air here?” Yuuga is already flaring up. Towako is still puzzled over the mood and why ‘Kaoru’ isn’t talking. Towako asks, “Renjou Kaoru?” This infuriates Yuuga further that he glares at her and angrily asks, “Which part of my face looks like him?” Towako is shock that she calls out Yuuga’s name. Yuuga angrily says that she is finally correct. Still agigated, Yuuga asks her what she meant and how could she have make that mistake. She couldn’t believe that she mistook Yuuga as Kaoru when Yuuga is probably there to make up with her. She apologizes and says that it is because she didn’t thought that Yuuga would suddenly come, and hug her. Yuuga asks if that means if it is Kaoru who hugged her, then it is something natural and normal. Towako nervously tries to say that isn’t exactly what she meant. Yuuga is really flaring up that he says that they’ll talk again after he slaughters Kaoru. Towako tries to stop him by shouting that right now, Kaoru should be alone for a while. Then, Yuuga notices that Towako is trying to find him with her hands. He remembers the snub and what Saho tried to tell him. He asks her if she cannot see. Towako says yes, it hasn’t healed yet and didn’t she tell this to him already. Towako is puzzled when Yuuga asks what’s going on when he doesn’t know about it. He asks her when this started. Towako tells him around a week ago. Holding her face, Yuuga worriedly asks what the reason is, and will it heal. He tells blushing Towako what’s with that expression when she just lost her eyesight and it cannot be that she really won’t be able to see again. Towako thinks, “Yuuga, you’re worried about me. You are now quite near to me, this is enough..”
Towako tells him, “..Yuuga, my, eyes cannot see, I’ve lost the ring, and even made you angry.. *lovingly holds his hand to her face* I was thinking that perhaps that I won’t be able to talk with you again, it really terrifies me..” Yuuga looks speechless-flustered at her. Towako happily thinks, “But, my eyes will soon get better, and it’s also great that Renjou Kaoru returned the ring..♡” Towako is surprised when Yuuga hugs her and says, “Even if your eyes cannot see again, even if there is no wedding ring, I will still stay by your side and watch over you forever.” Towako’s blood shoots up as she imagines sparkling Yuuga telling her, “Je t’aime*, Towako. I love you that I won’t leave you.” [* I love you in French] This made Towako shout, “Yuuga-sama, Je t’aime--!” Yuuga shouts that her nose is bleeding. In some kind of balcony, Kaoru is looking out to the city. Saho opens the door and goes to him. Kaoru turns around to see sad-flustered looking Saho. Kaoru asks what is with that expression and regarding what’s going to happen next, won’t she be inheriting the Renjou School. She mutters his name and then asks him if he is really going to make a new school. Kaoru says perhaps, he did thought of it before but she gave this opportunity to him. “In the last part [of the flower arrangement contest], you did well. You should have self-confidence.” Saho blushes over this but she remembers what Ristuki told her, “-Saho, if you try to refuse, if you dare betray me- whether it is your father’s company or even whatever it is that the guy, who like, would want to do in the future, I will do my utmost strength to destroy them. Right now, you can only just obey me.” Looking out the city, Saho tells Kaoru that she has no right to talk to him for she has done an unforgivable thing to him and Towako. Kaoru asks why she says that for didn’t he tell her not to be infatuated with him again. He is surprised when she says, “Of course, I’ll be infatuated, because I’ve always watched you walked until today, not as ‘Renjou family’s young master’, nor as ‘Kaoru who really likes flowers’.”
After turning towards him, Saho sadly smiles as tears fall. She tells him, “So, I will protect Renjou School until the day when Kaoru can come back.. Until then, I’ll tell you everything.” Kaoru looks surprised as Saho quietly leaves. Outside the door, happy Ritsuki tells irritated Saho that she did well then, it is time to proceed to the next plan. He then walks away with her. At home, Towako’s parents happily welcome the couple back. While Nobu is throwing confetti on them, Tokiko happily says that she heard everything and it must be really hard for them, and she is so lonely while waiting for their return. She asks what happened to Towako’s plugged nose..oh, nose bleed because of Yuuga, ah, being so young. Tokiko excitedly asks if they are hungry, then they should hurry in for dinner is ready. Towako looks happy and thinks that it has been a week since she left home yet it is regrettable that she cannot see. Towako happily tells Yuuga that being at home is still the best. He didn’t reply that Towako asks if he is still angry but her eyes will heal and the ring has been found. Yuuga says that rather angry at her, it is more on being angry at himself because he wasn’t able to do anything for her aside from being angry and impatient. Generally, Yuuga is infuriated with himself. Towako smiles and wonders if she tells him what he just said made her happy, would he be angry again. Towako happily holds Sawatari who took care of her ring by putting it on its tail’s end. She is surprised when someone calls out, “Sister..” She turns towards the voice and asks if it is Setsuna. “It has been a long time, how are you?” With Utsugi beside him, Setsuna tensely tells her that there is something he has to tell her. Tokiko tells them that since everyone has something to say, why don’t they go and talk at the dinner table. “There is big news today. We got an invitation to an urgent gathering! It’s an invitation to the assembly of the Five Main Families!” The others look surprised especially Setsuna.
Yuuga says that of the Five Main Families, he only knows of Gokurakuin family, Renjou family and Yachiougi family. Towako says the other two are the most powerful Takadono [couple] and the last one is Kanmitsuki [couple + kid]. After hearing that surname, Setsuna looks startled. Yuuga notices that the mood is strange [<- gloomy sad] between the others except for Tokiko. Towako says that the interval for the meeting is quite small this time so could it be that something happened. Yuuga asks if there is a rule/tradition regarding the time when they meet. Tokiko says yes. The Five Main Families usually meet every May 5th of the year to report the year’s happenings and discuss about their prospects about Japan’s economy. Yuuga sighs and says that it seems to be quite troublesome. To the two’s surprise, Tokiko tells them that they will also be joining in this gathering for they should report about their marriage. “And, two years after August 20th, the day of your birthday, you two will become the head of this family so starting right now, the two of you should get to learn how things are done.” The two blushes. Tokiko calls out to Yuuga that made Yuuga stands straight and exclaims, “Here.” With Nobu nodding, Tokiko happily says that he had also become a remarkable member of the Gokurakuin family. “And, together with Towako, this family will become more prosperous.” Setsuna looks sad as he looks at how happily the foursome were especially as the couple are blushing and smiling over what Tokiko said. [<- wah, he’s being left out.] Tokiko says that is enough, they shouldn’t stand there but rather, quickly go in and eat. Utsugi notices the change in Setsuna’s mood that he quickly tells Tokiko that Setsuna isn’t feeling really well so he would want to eat in his [recuperating] room. Tokiko is a bit sad to hear that but it cannot be helped. Towako remembers something that she asks leaving Setsuna as to what he wanted to tell her. Without turning around, Setsuna just says that no, it is nothing. Towako becomes a bit worried over him. Tokiko urges Towako that they go eat together but to her shock, Towako politely declines by saying that she wants to eat in their [adjoining] house. After they left, Tokiko tearfully cries over how she really anticipated over eating together with them again. Nobu just pats her head to comfort her.
While clinging on to Yuuga, Towako says that if they eat together, her mother will realize that she cannot see. Since it will heal soon, she doesn’t want to unnecessarily worry her mother and if her mother knew, it can be quite troublesome. Imagination: Tokiko grabbing Towako’s shoulder and exclaiming that Towako cannot see so they should quickly go see the doctor. Towako should be admitted to the hospital. End imagination. While Yuuga is telling Towako as to where to turn as they head to their room, Towako thinks that she would want for them to eat together but sorry mama, right now, she wants to be with Yuuga more. Towako happily snuggles to Yuuga and thinks that she actually doesn’t have to be lead around since she knows her way around her house, but she won’t tell this to Yuuga. After a pause, Yuuga asks if she also sticks like that with Kaoru. Shocked Towako exclaims that is impossible for how could she do that. Irritated, Towako moves away and pouts that she won’t go with him. Yuuga pulls her to him again and darkly asks Towako as to how she spent her time with Kaoru. Sweatdropping Towako says that it is nothing and it isn’t something that could make him angry. Yuuga angrily shouts that he isn’t angry but rather, he is quite displeased. Teary-eyed Towako pouts again. She exclaims that is being angry. Thinking that it wasn’t easy for them to be together, Towako blurts out that Kaoru is quite a nice gentleman and if Yuuga minds it so much, why don’t he do it like how Kaoru did it. With a sinister smile, Yuuga says, “I understand, ojousama. Before your eyes heal, I’ll take care of you properly.” [<- hehe, S-mode] While wondering where Tsubaki is, Towako is surprised-aghast by that. At the dinning table, Yuuga holds up a chopstick with food and tells Towako to eat it. Towako tensely says that she can eat by herself for Kaoru would let her do so and he will just give the bowl to.. Towako blushes really red when Yuuga puts his arm around her and says, “How about opening your mouth quickly? *whispers to her ear* Say ah--” Towako is freaking out over this since he whispered to her in a sparkling way. Towako eats it and is embarrassed to be watched while eating. Yuuga looks at her and thinks that she’s like a little bird. While Yuuga lovingly smiles at Towako, Towako wonders if Yuuga harboring bad intention [<-teasing her] or is he still jealous. She thinks that he’s like a kid.
In front of the bathroom, embarrassed and tense Towako exclaims that Kaoru would leave the clothes and then, he would just leave. Yuuga tells her that Kaoru might be peeking in and if it’s Kaoru, he’ll do it. Towako asks what he is implying and if it’s Yuuga, would he do that. Towako is speechless when Yuuga says that if it’s him, he’ll go in with her. With water sounds and hearts around, Towako exclaims that she can take a bath by herself but Yuuga insists on doing it. Soon, Towako is in the open [hot spring] bath. She keeps on mentally calling Yuuga an idiot [for embarrassing her like that] but she stops when Yuuga sits beside her and pulls her to him. While he starts to kiss her, Towako thinks, “I would also want to ask how Yuuga and Mizuno-chan spent their time together everyday, but.. I think.. that kind of thing doesn’t matter anymore. [I’m] feeling Yuuga’s warmth..” Soon, Yuuga says that he has finished blow-drying her hair. He stretches and says that he’s going to sleep. He quickly pulls the blanket to him and lies on the futon. This surprises blushing Towako. She calls out to him and asks him what time it is. Yuuga says that it is 8:40pm. After a long pause, Towako asks if they aren’t going to do it. After another long pause, Yuuga suddenly sits up. Blushing, he tells her that he is always enduring it. Towako timidly asks why. Yuuga exclaims that it is because she is tired, and it hurts and she also cannot see so he cannot just think only of himself. Blushing Towako wonders if Yuuga is angry or embarrassed since she cannot see his face. “It seems that I still do not know.. but.. *goes near to Yuuga* ..you are obviously at my side. In this darkness, do not leave me all alone..” Narration: “Please, do not depart from me.” Yuuga goes to her and touches her face. Meanwhile, while Setsuna is looking at the moon, Utsugi worriedly looks at him and takes out a tray. Utsugi meets with Tsubaki at the hallway. She seriously asks Utsugi what he is hiding. While Towako and Yuuga make love, Towako thinks, “And just being with you, no matter what happens, I will fearlessly continue walking forward, no matter how dark it is.”
And so, Ritsuki is getting the upper hand and the main couple are still clueless over the things that are happening. It seems that they are being overwhelmed by what’s happening and on how they are reacting to them that they really didn’t notice the ‘hints’ that has been showing already that something is wrong. Unfortunately, from Ritsuki’s bold declaration, it does seem to be too late for his plan is already set. He also had a hold on Setsuna and most likely, it is also a blackmail just like with Saho. The unrequited love here can be quite heart-gripping and it’s good that at least, I know that the luckless girls/guys will more or less find someone else aside from the main couple. =P I actually planned to do up to chapter 68 but decided to put in a lovey-dovey chapter to cap this long summary. About the imageshack pictures, it seems that they want to review the domain where the pictures are hosted so I’ve registered and will wait for their ah..approval so the pictures should be okay soon. Hm..I think it is already okay..it is for me. ^^;
Thanks Sasha for the partial VK 69 raws in VK lj. It seems boring because it seems to be mostly interrogation and how the others react to the news. Then, Yuuki also deciding to do something. Anyway, someone translated those raws if you scroll down. I also found Kaichou wa Maid-sama 58 teaser ^_^ It is from 鏡花水月’s blog. The manager of the cafe is enthusiastic about the cosplay. Misaki couldn’t resist the puppy watery eye pleading look so she agreed to it. She dressed up in cheongsam/Chinese outfit, Arabian clothes, ninja, etc. At the end of that, it seems that Usui is asked to wear female clothes but he seems to decline since he doesn’t have confidence to pull it off =P He ends up doing cosplay guy’s clothes like he is the doctor and Misaki is the nurse. Then, Misaki announces to everyone that they are officially a couple. Everyone is surprised then they congratulated them. The scene changes to that blond uncle guy, Cedric, who is outside the cafe, overseeing the situation aka spying. Then, he gets a phone call that Gerard, Usui’s brother got confined in the hospital. It turns out that his brother is quite sickly. So, Usui is pretty much like a ‘spare tire’. I guess this is the reason why they have a sudden interest with Usui and it’s also a partial reason why Gerard doesn’t like Usui aside from Usui being an illegitimate son who is better in almost everything. I wonder if Usui’s family will become drastic later on in ‘getting Usui back’ and what could they plan for Misaki since she is the biggest hindrance to that especially if something happens to Gerard.

From baidu, in the latest La Corda chapter, Len is back. They talked about something which made Kahoko blush. Then, Len looks very disappointed. If the poster isn’t mistaken in reading it, then the next chapter is the last chapter. The poster is new and seems to be still figuring out how to post the images. Nothing on VK yet.
Edit: 月森日野香穗子 has posted the raws in the link above. From what I can get is Len returns but Kahoko doesn't want to meet with him since she thinks that she'll just trouble him. Len sees Ryotaro by the window and probably realizes of the possibility that Kahoko is there. Then, they meet and talk. From that thread, it seems that Kahoko is saying about Len being far away and being a burden, etc something about why she is doing her best. This somehow irks Len that he says that he is very disappointed with her. Then, the other guys meet with the two and realize that something happened between the two. Len leaves Kahoko looking really flustered. And yes, it seems that the next chapter is the last one on March 24th. Someone is hoping for a sweet lovey-dovey side story on April 24th since it is Len's birthday. =P

Chitose sweatdrops and looks nervous since displeased Shun is looking at her. She freaks out when Shun grabs her arm and tells her to be responsible for bring up that topic and making him think of it. Chitose tries to run away while screaming for him not to be like that. “I’m sorry!” Holding her to him, Shun says that she only wants to tease him. Blushing Chitose exclaims that isn’t true for she is really serious [when she asked that]. While Shun tries to kiss her and Chitose shouting no, they hear someone exclaiming in surprise. They look at the door and see flustered Saaya looking at them. Saaya bows down and runs away. Chitose tries to call Saaya but she stops when she looks at Shun who is slightly flustered while looking at the door. Chitose tells him that Saaya seems to be really upset and regarding Shun, she is still.. Looking away, Shun says that even so, Saaya still chose Yuki. “Even if they have already wavered because of other people but in the end, they still cannot break up. So, we should truly and seriously become lovers to make them give up. This way, everything will go smoothly.” Chitose just looks at Shun. Meanwhile, Yuki and Midoriko are walking together to the club room. They meet up with flustered-looking Saaya that Midoriko asks what happened. Saaya apologizes and says that something urgent happened that she has to go home first. Midoriko says okay then see her tomorrow. While Saaya continues to walk away, Yuki calls out to her twice before getting her attention. She apologizes and asks him what it is. Yuki asks if she is free this weekend since his sister wanted to see her and Yuka hoped that Saaya can make plans [to meet her] that day. Saaya says okay, she’ll leave that day open. Then, after saying goodbye, she sadly walks away. It made Yuki puzzled as he looks at her direction.
At home, tired Chitose lays on bed. She thinks that it is hard doing the club activities since Saaya went home ahead. “Even if Yuki is acting normally, it is still quite awkward. Should I just leave the club? Ah, if there is a decrease of people, it will just give more trouble to the others! Everyone is sincerely working, so it is a must that I also do my best! *thoughtful* Saaya likes Akaishi-kun, but she loves Yuki-kun, so she chose Yuki-kun. Can’t ‘like’ and ‘love’ be integrated into one? How complicated.. *remembering Shun’s look earlier* Akaishi-kun has also not forgotten about Saaya. Me, too. The feelings of ‘liking Yuki-kun’ have also not been erased. Even if I rejected him and knew that he has a girlfriend, I still like him, but..” She remembers Shun telling her that they have to seriously become lovers in order for those two to give up and things will go smoothly. Chitose sits up then goes to her table. She takes the envelope and looks inside it while looking slightly flustered. At school, in the classroom, Shun asks Chitose what the matter is, since she called him there so early in the morning. Holding an envelope, Chitose tells him that this is given to her by her brother. It is lovers’ tickets to the onsen. “..Let’s go together.” Shun exclaims in surprise, “Ha?! What did you say?! I won’t go! *sweatdrops and holds out his hand to gesture no* Also, I cannot lay a hand on you, so going to an onsen trip is out of the question! It’s simply a ruthless torture so you just go with your brother.” Surprised-flustered Chitose says that isn’t so. “I know that! So, I agreed to it.” Shun looks surprised and asks if she is serious. “Why is it so sudden..” Chitose tells him that she has decided to seriously become lovers with Shun. “Just like what you said, for everyone, the best choice is for us to become real lovers. So, it isn’t like before wherein I would just divert my feelings and go steady with you. This time, it will be for us to become lovers for real. *Shun looks surprised* I..still like Yuki-kun, and you still like Saaya, right?”
Still looking surprised, Shun admits, ya. Chitose looks at him and says, “I always wanted to like you more than Yuki-kun so I’ve decided at that time for us to be temporary lovers. But, right now, I think that even if [our] ‘like’ isn’t the deepest, it is also okay. You said before, about wanting to ‘create a relationship wherein one would really cherish the other’. We chose each other to become that ‘partner’, so I think that for us together, to do our best, is also important. *blushing a bit* You chose me and I also chose you.” Shun blushes and holds his hand to the back of his neck. Somewhat bowing, Shun says, “..even if I’m really happy.. but is it really okay? You’ve always refused before, and you also firmly..” Chitose blushes and exclaims, “It is alright! That is the past me! When my brother gave this to me, it is to proceed to one step further to deepen our relationship. I want to deepen my relationship with you.” Shun slightly smiles and says, “I understand. Then, let’s go.” Narration: “I want to do something with Akaishi-kun that I haven’t done with Yuki-kun in order for Akaishi-kun to become someone special to me. A special lover.” At the train station, Chitose and Shun meet up with each other. Shun pauses for a while then asks her, “Is it really okay? Doing it halfway, even if you don’t want it, I won’t be able to stop, okay?” Chitose looks at him in surprise then she begins to look scared. Shaking in fear, Chitose tells him, “About..that.., I ought to re-consider it a bit..” Shun sweatdrops and tells her to wait. Scratching his head, Shun says, “Sorry, what I said is wrong. I didn’t mean to frighten you, I only want a last verification..” Shun seriously look at Chitose then hugs her to him. Chitose is surprised by this. Shun tells her, “It’s alright. I’ll be very gentle.” Blushing, Chitose just says, ya.
This chapter almost makes me want for Chitose and Shun to end up together since they do seem to be a real couple except their hearts are not fully toward each other but you see, I’m not keeping my hopes up since in the official Margaret webpage, this series picture is always Chitose & Yuki. For series that has love triangles/polygon, it is usually easy to see who’ll the lead to end up with if most of the covers whether in the official page or chapters are composed of that couple. Of course, there is an exception with this series and that is Chitose isn’t going steady with Yuki and Yuki has Saaya. This chapter shows what I like about Chitose. She isn’t that clueless that she easily figured out that Shun still likes Saaya. It would be nice if things go naturally for Chitose and Shun rather than be forced to do this because of the circumstances. Chitose is just too nice to just leave that club. I’m thinking if she can just be ‘boyfriend-less’ but I guess that isn’t an option either since this will make Yuki more determined to break up with Saaya which will hurt Saaya. And that is something both Chitose and Shun don’t want to happen. Somehow I’m wondering if the author will indeed make get Chitose and Shun to have H together without deeply loving each other...yet. Anyway, base on estimate, I think there might be no chapter next month unless a group specially scanlates the next chapter. But the month after next month, there will probably be two chapters. Based on babelfish, the teaser from the official page is “finally, Chitose and Shun’s first experience?!” [<-とうとう、ちとせ初体験!?] and the chapter after that is “Yuki and Saaya got out of the dark past, foursome’s relationship had a huge progress” [<- ユキと清綾が暗い過去から抜け出したとき、4人の関係は大きく動き出す]. From that, I’m guessing this will happen: Yuka talks with Saaya and tells her an inside story about Misaki so Saaya doesn’t have to filled with regrets, and be overly clingy on Yuki. Unfortunately, Chitose and Shun are already a real couple. So, it’s all too late, she’s stuck with Yuki. =P It’s kind of cliche so I’m hoping that something more surprising or unexpected will happen. At the hospital, Kyouta checks his cellphone and there is nothing from Tsubaki. He thinks that it has been four days since Tsubaki last came and could it be that she won’t be coming during the exam period. He looks up and sighs that it will be another long day. He becomes surprised when the nurse calls out to him and says that it turns out that he’s there. The nurse calls out to a ‘Miss Hibino’ to come this way. Kyouta blushes a bit in surprise. He looks away and starts saying that if Tsubaki cannot come, she should email him to tell him so.. He stops midway when he turns to see that it wasn’t Tsubaki but Tsubaki’s mother. She asks him if he is Tsubaki Kyouta. She introduces herself as Tsubaki’s mother and thanks him for caring her daughter. [<- being polite.] Still surprised, Kyouta greets her. She exclaims that he really got into a serious accident. Kyouta bows to her and says that he is indebted to Tsubaki who always visited him and she has been a great help. He tells her that suddenly she stopped visiting the past few days that he is worried about her and, did she catch a cold. To his surprise, Tsubaki’s mother tells him Tsubaki collapsed from overwork at school. She fainted on the first day of the exam week that she wasn’t able to take the exam of even one subject. “Right now, she is at home resting! Before..there is also a night when she didn’t come home and we couldn’t find her.. Tsubaki-chan isn’t a person who would do such a thing. I’m totally frightened out of my wits.” Kyouta realizes that Tsubaki didn’t contact home that night. He is surprised when Tsubaki’s mother tells him that she opposes their relationship. “But that child.. even said that she’ll do everything perfectly so that she’ll be allowed to go steady with you. From then on, she started to do things as if her life depends on it. And in the end.. *tearfully worried* Even at home, where she should be resting, she still won’t stop studying..” Flashback: Tsubaki’s mother entered the room with a tray of food. She found Tsubaki sitting on her desk, studying. She told Tsubaki that she should be lying in bed to rest. Tsubaki said that upon going back to school, she has make-up exams that she couldn’t sleep. She smiled and said that she thinks that she can still get the university’s recommendation. “Just watch, I’ll strive harder and do it perfectly!” End flashback. Tsubaki’s mother laments that Tsubaki has once again clench her teeth and always endured it all. Her mother says that she is worried that something bad will happen to Tsubaki’s health later on. Kyouta looks flustered as he clenches his cellphone tight. Tsubaki’s mother then says, “Tsubaki-kun, actually, I came here today, is for a request, if I may be so bold to ask...”
Later on, Tsubaki appears in Kyouta’s ward and happily says that it has been a long time. She apologizes for not being able to visit him and she just cannot get some free time during the exam week. Kyouta says that he knows and she should at least email him. Tsubaki apologizes and says that as an apology, she is going to give this to him. She holds a small container of tamagoyaki [Japanese rolled omelette]. Kyouta brightens up and asks if it is Mentaiko [<-marinated roe of Pollock (source: wiki)] cheese tamagoyaki. While Kyouta is happily praising it, Tsubaki smiles happily. While offering him a pair of chopsticks, Tsubaki tells him to eat it. To her surprise, Kyouta promptly falls back in bed. He tells her that he cannot use his right hand so chopsticks aren’t convenient for him. Tsubaki apologizes and is about to say about using.. when Kyouta tells her that she use her mouth to feed him and it will definitely be delicious that way. Tsubaki blushes really red. She tells him that it is also a good idea if she uses the chopsticks as a stick to skewer the tamagoyaki for him to eat. Kyouta insists that he wants to eat it mouth-to-mouth otherwise he won’t eat it. Blushing, Tsubaki tells him then, do not eat it. Looking away, Kyouta says okay and who is the one who didn’t send an email for a week, not caring even if he died. Tsubaki is aghast by that. Soon, she is holding the tamagoyaki on her mouth and tries to feed Kyouta with it. Kyouta takes a bite and says that it is delicious this way. Kyouta bites again then starts kissing her. [Hm..probably French kiss] Tsubaki wonders why it kind of feels like Kyouta is biting [her]. Kyouta then asks, “How was the exam..” This startles Tsubaki that she accidentally knocks the food container down on the floor. She quickly picks it up and tells Kyouta that she is startled that he suddenly asks her a question that is totally unrelated [to the situation]. She turns to him and happily smiles. “Ah..the exams went smoothly...” Kyouta looks serious. Tsubaki continues to happily tell him that at long last, the exams are over. And afterwards, she can come and accompany him everyday. “About the tamagoyaki, I’ll just make a new one for you..” To her surprise, sad looking Kyouta looks downwards and says, “No need to.. afterwards.. don’t come anymore..”
What can I say but Tsubaki brought it all to herself with pressures from her parents and to be with Kyouta. I guess she never learns that in her case, lying always brings out the worst of situations. ^^; She is indeed overbearing everything to the point that she is self-destructing that is probably why her mother went for drastic measures = hunt down where Kyouta is. There is a high chance that she asked him to break up with Tsubaki. I’m kind of wishfully thinking that she said that it is just temporary or something along that lines but I doubt that. I have a feeling that Kyouta decided to part from Tsubaki or not make her obligated to visit him since she has started to lie to him and pushing herself too much. I wonder if Tsubaki will quietly do as told and what will she do if she learns that her mother had a talk with Kyouta. Hm..Tsubaki is already on the verge of a breakdown/snapping so I fear of the desperate things that she might do but of course, this will be resolved in a way if Kyouta tells Tsubaki that they ‘lie low’ for a while in order for her mother not to overly worry. I don’t think that Kyouta would easily give up on her again and instead of pressuring Tsubaki to do something that she cannot really do, Kyouta should just prove to her parents that he is a good influence to her. Actually, Tsubaki should stop doing things that can eventually put Kyouta in a bad light with her parents. Soichiroh leans to kiss her but they were interrupted by the dripping wet kids coming in, asking for a towel since it’s cold. Soichiroh ends up kissing air as Sumi quickly slips from him and goes to the kids. She asks why they didn’t dry up before coming in. Sumi asks Soichiroh to give him a towel from the second drawer of the clothes cabinet. Soichiroh couldn’t open the drawer. While Sumi is warning him not to use too much strength, Soichiroh has broken the drawer. [<- the front side is taken off] Sumi apologizes and says that there is a trick in opening it. Soichiroh exclaims why she didn’t tell him sooner. While Soichiroh picks up the fallen clothes and asks why [he is doing this], he notices a cross pendant on a cloth-type necklace. Sumi asks him again for a towel that Soichiroh says yes, he’ll get it. He thinks that cross is probably Eisuke’s. Eisuke comes in and puts his arm around Soichiroh. He tells Soichiroh that they should go and look for a job. Soichiroh seems puzzled and asks wasn’t he with Ashida Product but Eisuke tells him that he has been fired earlier on. Soon, Sumi tells them to take care as they left. While Sumi is hanging the laundered clothes, the kids tell her that they will be digging up some bamboo shoots. After they left and after some time, Sumi massages her shoulder and thinks that it is tiring since it has been a long time since she did household chores. She becomes surprised when someone calls out, “Miss Sumi.” It is Nozomu who has says that she’s quite pitiful. He suddenly holds her hand and exclaims, “This kind of life doesn’t suit you, Miss Sumi! I’ll definitely help you, Miss Sumi!” Sumi notices the way he is holding her hand is the same as before at that time when he helped save Tomi’s life. Looking down, Sumi tells him that this is awkward for her. Nozomu asks why. Just then, the kids come back and ask Sumi who that guy is. Sumi turns to them and says that it is nothing. Putting something in her hand, Nozomu tells her that this is something for her. Sumi opens her hand and it is a thick wad of money bill. While walking away, Nozomu turns to tell her that for the current Sumi, that money is a necessity. “Goodbye.” Atari recognizes him as the one [who helped them] when Tomi is sick. While Sumi just holds on to the money, Nozomu is walking away with a cold smile on his face.
At Ashida Products Company, Natsuki is saying a speech to everyone that from today on, he will be the acting as the company’s president and in order to restore the tarnished name of the company because of the past president, he wants everyone to work together as one. While some people are clapping, he notices Nozomu coming in. Nozomu apologizes to Takemoto for being late. Natsuki is irritated that Nozomu is late on his most important day. Someone has to remind Natsuki to continue his speech so, Natsuki tells everyone to be be enthusiastic as they go about their work. At the president’s office, Natsuki is reprimanding Nozomu that what he did is quite troubling for him [Natsuki] and could he please not be late again. Nozomu bows to him and apologizes. Natsuki asks him to prepare some capital since the president’s replacement expenditures will increase. [<- I’m not sure if it is to pay off the separation fee of workers he didn’t like or money he needs to be officially elected as president] To Natsuki’s shock, Nozomu apologizes and says, “I cannot do that. Ijuin Bank has agreed to provide unlimited capital to Ashida Products, but that is only to ‘Ashida Soichiroh’.” Natsuki exclaims his disbelief. Nozomu tells him that lately, his father’s [health] condition isn’t good so he’ll be taking over the financing group’s highest position. “I want to re-adjust the amount of capital that our bank is financing. So, using this opportunity, regarding the money lend to Ashida Products, please remit it all back.” Natsuki is really shock that he nervously says that he definitely cannot remit it ALL back. Nozomu says that if he won’t then.. Nozomu snaps his fingers and some men suddenly enter the room. Natsuki tensely asks how they are. Nozomu tells him that if he cannot immediately remit it back, then Ijuin Bank has dispatch an administer/supervising team to bring Ashida Products under Ijuin’s Financial Group. Shaking, Natsuki cannot believe it all. He can only shout, “This is your plot, Ijuin!” Soon, someone tells the others that Natsuki has retired [/left his position] and since the company cannot remit back the borrowed money, Ijuin Financial Group has taken over Ashida Products. And so, Nozomu puts on a darker suit and smoothes his hair backwards to have a slick hairstyle. Nozomu, backed by his team, tells everyone that from today on, Ashida Products belongs to Ijuin Financial Group and he, Nozomu, will act as Ashida Products’ president. In the president’s room, Nozomu is sitting down and says that he is the one suitable for this position. Looking really dark, Nozomu declares, “And, the one who is suitable for Miss Sumi..is also me!” The last scene is Atari pulling Sumi who is taking down the laundry to say that he’s hungry.
Do you read Bleach or Death Note before? That is what reminded me of Nozomu’s makeover/change. He is like Bleach’s Aizen who reveals his true self after pulling his hair backwards. He is like Light/Raito when he is showing his dark side and how he plotted everything = everything went as he wanted. Yup, Natsuki, you are just a pawn who willingly fell/got used into Nozomu’s plot. Nozomu is really not bluffing when he said that he can give everything back to Soichiroh in exchange for Sumi. For someone who is reluctant to take over his father’s bank, Nozomu can really be ‘devious’ and do it if he really wants to. Nozomu really transformed from mild mannered bookish friend to manipulative, crafty stalker. I wonder if banks really can just get their money back that easily or maybe that is how it works in those days. Nozomu has another edge since Sumi took that money. Soichiroh won’t be happy to hear that and he still has to cope with adjusting to being poor. Hm..it seems that Soichiroh has to keep repeating to Sumi that he chose her and not all the other comforts of life. ^^; Anyway, Soichiroh has stumbled on to something..that cross pendant. Obviously, it is Sumi’s because if you check chapter 6, the picture of the girl with young Nozomu is wearing that same cross necklace. Teaser is out in baidu and as always, there might be some mistakes so just read the scanlation for clarifications and details. In a gist, what happened is Kijima gives Kyouko some beautiful clothes and make-up to put on. He made her into his female companion and confidently brought/pulled her in the party so expressionless Kyouko ended up going. So seeing them together, Ren can only look on in despair[/angry? Probably just shock as cliffhanger]. After that sink in, here’s the longish summary: Kyouko is in her uniform and is still hesitating in going to the hotel for the thank you celebration party of Dark Moon, afraid of seeing Ren. A taxi came by and Kijima comes out. They greet each other and had a long chat and it seems that they are walking in the venue at the same time. Kijima sighs and comments on what others will think if the others realize that the one playing Mio is wearing a uniform. It is a huge difference between her now and Mio. He tells her that it would be better to dress up as Mio. Kyouko thinks that she thought of that and as Mio, her attitude towards Ren will be more natural but she fears when the party is over, and if she isn’t ‘acting’ either as Setsuka or etc, she fears about acting strange wherein Ren might notice it. She seems to try to associate Ren as something unpredictable like an earthquake, thunder or fire [calamity]. Then, Kijima asks if she is listening. She says that she is. He asks if she agrees to it. She says yes. Then, he promptly brings her to a beauty salon and tell the stylist to do whatever s/he wants just make Kyouko twice beautiful and mature looking.
Soon, Ren arrives at the venue. He greets people and had a small talk with Ogata. Then, when Ren and Yashiro are alone, Ren starts to look around. Yashiro teases Ren that if Kyouko arrives, she will definitely go see Ren first. Ren claims that he isn’t looking for Kyouko. Yashiro doesn’t believe him and says that he is looking for her. Ren doesn’t know how to answer but he just smiles and says that he is looking for Kijima. At the beauty salon, Kijima is shock at how beautiful Kyouko looks with the gown and make-up that makes her look mature. She looks like a different person. It made Kijima blurts out if this is computer’s special effects. Kyouko asks why she is dressed up like that. It turns out that Kijima wants to confirm what the others were saying during the last shooting that she looks beautiful and mature. He tells her that she’s very beautiful. Kyouko blushes and thanks him. At the other side, she is thinking that it feels different when Ren praised her because in a moment, she didn’t feel her heartbeat in her mind. When she is Natsu at that time, she instinctively knows what Ren would say, that she quickly took preventive measures before it happens. Because the alarm is ringing and she doesn’t want Ren to say that sentence for it will blow away that lock. She wants to once again lock it but it is totally opened just in a split second when she thinks of that giving Rosa necklace scene. “That person..” At the venue, Kijima looks really happy as he waves at Ren. Expressionless Kyouko is at Kijima’s side with both hands on Kijima’s arm. Upon seeing them, Ren slightly stare at them. So, someone beats Ren to it. Hm..the author is going to make Kijima as the rival now to get Ren get his act together? ^^; But then, Kyouko is now consciously going to avoid him. Maybe Kyouko is going to use Kijima to drive away Ren to keep that lock locked. Oh, the picture above is of course, the new volume cover. I think it is new picture so I posted it up. The other picture is a free book cover for this issue of HtY. Continuation on 7th issue so probably around first week of March.

[Hehe ^^; It is only after I did this before I searched if someone did it already. It turns out that someone did and was doing this series. ^^;; It is by a blog called Under the Radar Manga. Oh well, I’ll just post this anyway. There are some differences in some things though ^^;;; Maybe because I’m basing it on the Chinese while the other one is based on the Japanese raws but it is just minor negligible things so... By the way, there are still no new scans of the other series so I’ll start doing Ojousama wa Oyomesama again. If anyone has spotted a Chinese-scanlated series, that I frequently summarize, is already up, feel free to tag me about it ^-^ I could have missed it. ^^;]
In the room, the girls are amazed by it and there is even a refrigerator. They plan to buy some cold snacks later on. While dressing up, Ayane says that during their rest time now, they should eat, take a bath and stroll around the hotel. Ayane asks Sawako if she brought those panties they bought before. Blushing, Sawako says yes and it was her first time to buy panties that aren’t made of cotton. At the restaurant, Ayane spies on Shouta and calls him to her. She whispers to Shouta that they bought panties before going to the school trip and Sawako came with them. Sweatdropping, Shouta says that is great and why is she telling that to him. Poor Shouta..he blushes really red when Ayane tells him that Sawako’s have ribbons. Ayane giggles as reddish Shouta angrily shouts why she is telling that to him. Shouta’s friends are puzzled. Then, Sawako approaches them and asks what they are talking about. Ayane teases Shouta not to tell others. Blushing, Shouta shouts that he won’t. Then, Shouta notices that Sawako is wearing pants. He comments that this is the first time he saw her in that, not wearing skirt. Sawako says that she thinks that it is easier to move in it during the school trip. She asks if it looks strange but Shouta says it doesn’t. Then, the others butt in about Sawako starting to change her type of clothes just because she now has a boyfriend. Aghast, Sawako asks if it is too showy. Shouta exclaims it isn’t. Sawako’s friends giggle. While Sawako wonders if her clothes are okay, Shouta blushes and thinks that he’s shameful to have this kind of awareness. Ryu looks at Shouta and asks if he is now aware. Blushing, Shouta denies it and tells Ryu not to ask or look at him. =P Soon, after Pin’s announcement, they all partake to a feast that is set up for them. At the ladies’ bath, Sawako’s friends are talking about pretty panties – for self or to show to others. Then, Chizuru asks about Moki. Ayane tells her that she already made plans to meet with Moki tomorrow night and during free time, they will go together at the International Street [Kokusai Dori Street]. To Chizuru’s horror, Ayane says that Sawako and Shouta would probably go, too. Chizuru exclaims what about her. After a long pause, Ayane says that she has Ryu and Soichi. That seems to be okay with Chizuru. Sawako comments on how fun it is to engage into girl talk. She asks Ayane when she came to like Moki. Chizuru nervously looks back and forth at the two. Chizuru then exclaims in shock that Ayane liked Moki and when that happened. Ayane isn’t keen on telling them that she says that they are already going steady so there isn’t anything special to tell them. Chizuru complains that Ayane would teach them on such things yet she won’t tell them about hers. This made Ayane promise them that she will inform them point by point afterwards. Then, Chizuru says that she is getting dizzy so she’ll get out first. After she left, Ayane looks thoughtful.
Soon, they want to get something cold after the bath. They find Shouta and Ryu at the vending machine. It turns out that they also just took a bath. Ayane comments that Ryu’s hair looks like a sea urchin which Ryu says it isn’t. Then, Ryu offers Chizuru a can of Coca-cola softdrink. Chizuru tells him that she wants to choose it on her own. Ryu says okay, which one she wants. Chizuru looks at the choices then blushes as she glances at smiling Ryu. She nervously points to the Coca-cola and says that one. After giving her the softdrink, Ryu tells her that tomorrow, she is going to treat him to some ice cream. Chizuru exclaims that it is more expensive. Shouta looks at the two and says that they have left. While Sawako is thinking that the school trip is amazing and Shouta’s hair is a bit damp, Shouta asks her what she wants to drink. Sawako says Jasmine tea. Shouta already gets her drink from the vending machine while Sawako frantically tries to get some money to pay for it. Shouta laughs and says that this had happened before with the coffee. [<- I forgot or I missed that chapter. I still haven’t read the chapters that I’ve skipped. ^^;] Shouta gives her the drink and says that it is free of charge. Sawako smiles and thanks him. Shouta blushes then realizes that Ayane is giving them a happy look. Ayane laughs and says that is great so can Shouta tell her where to buy a Jasmine tea that is free of charge. Shouta tells Ayane that she’s irritating and section B is roughly at that side. In the guys’ room, Soichi is pestering Shouta as to how far did he went with Sawako = kiss, holding hands. Shouta just tells him that he’s noisy. Soichi complains why everyone around him now has girlfriends, it’s good that he hasn’t been kissed because he wants someone like Ayane and how come Ayane got a boyfriend. Soon, they hear someone knocking at the door. They think it is a teacher who is checking on them. Someone says that since that person knocked, it isn’t Pin. While the other guy goes to open the door, Soichi continues to say that Ryu stands by his side. Ryu says, ya. Soichi pesters Shouta again what they did while he is dating Sawako. Soon, the guy calls out to Ryu and says that it is a girl from section C. Shouta looks surprised as Ryu glances toward the door. Meanwhile, Sawako and others are having their girl time. What will happen in the school trip..
Hehe, lots of sweet and funny stuff here especially Sawako and Shouta moments =P Poor Shouta, the others really like to tease him. ^^; It is a surprised that Ayane said yes though I’m not too sure if she really does like him. Ayane isn’t telling them much about him could mean that she isn’t that interested yet or she isn’t the type to talk about her personal love life. For the others though, it seems that things are going well with Ayane and Moki. It seems that Pin will be busy with the tour guide, too. I do think that there is still a possibility for Pin and Ayane. Lastly, it seems that we are going to finally see some progress between Ryu and Chizuru since some other girl is now going to confess to Ryu..most probably. I wonder what she looks like. This news will definitely be spread around by talkative Soichi. I’m curious how Chizuru would react to this. Scans by 君届同好会.

Yokuto tells Mutsuki, “Mutsuki-, this is your new collar.” Anis touches her mouth and thinks, “That was my first kiss.” Idel shouting, “Rose Princess..! Please save Yakoh-” Punishment 29: keep the faith? Holding up his arms, Yokuto is on a monologue. “..Finally..! [We] can release that detestable seal and release the ‘devil’. We can attain our clan’s long cherished wish. And my love- comes back..! [<- not sure on that one ^^;] Rose..oh reiner Widerspruch, [/Rose, oh pure contradiction] utterly destroyed!” Yokuto is with Ella [/Mikage], Shiden and two other shadowed people. Ella tells him not to add to the saying for it is a waste. Yokuto let out a laugh and say kids like to re-arrange the song. Holding a rose, Schwartz says, “The Judas bud dyed in fresh blood [will] then be in full bloom. In deep slumber within the forest is a human sacrifice--..” Narration: “Beloved Anis. Until when will you notice that this world is filled with worthless things, [and] fragile illusions? Will you wait until you lose everything before you’ll understand?” At the school’s library, Idel tells them that Yakoh, who is sleeping on a bed, is like that since this morning, and there is no reaction from him at all. He tells Anis that if it’s her, she should know where Schwartz is. Thinking that she doesn’t know what her father has been doing nor his whereabouts, Anis says that she doesn’t know. Tenjoh gets in between them and tells Idel to calm down for even if Anis is Schwartz’s relative but right now, they are enemies and he also ought to know that. “For you to come here and beg of us [to save him] is going against common sense. Do you know of the saying, ‘Reaping what you sow’? – Fake. Originally, it was that kind of contract- was it not?” Idel admits that it is true that for them to attain the power as Fake Knights, they allowed Schwartz to make them into guinea pigs [/test subjects]. Idel thinks that even if they are injured, they do not need a doctor to cure them and if they do not make a contract with the ‘Dominion’ as the price for this strength, they will be injured/harmed.
While she is asking why they would allow themselves to be harmed cruelly like that, Anis stops midway because she remembers that they told her that there is something important that they want. Idel tells them that it is because of him, Yakoh’s health hasn’t always been good. Flashback: Homeless Idel has always been sick while being treated in some health facility. From the time he was born, he is sickly. Young Yakoh told him that it will be alright and just wait for him to grow old so that he can earn lots of money for Idel’s operation. “Anyway, I have two so I’ll give one to you.” Always smiling Yakoh is Idel’s redeemer. Then, one day, while they are singing together, they were asked by a talent scout if they want to go in showbiz. From the start, they thought it is a miracle. Soon, they learned that they are compatible so they can do the transplant. Idel is glad to hear that since he can become healthy. They used the money from their showbiz work to pay for the surgery. Everything is going smoothly until Yakoh has a hard time with practicing for the dance because he easily gets tired. Soon, Yakoh weakened and succumbed to illness. The doctor refused to admit that there is a mistake about the surgery. Their talent scout told them that the debut date has already been set so if Yakoh is sick, he should just get better. Idel is in despair because no one cares and they are in a dead end. He is really worried as to what will happen to Yakoh if this continues. That is until Schwartz appears before them and asks, “Do you want ‘power’? A ‘power’ that surpasses human knowledge.” Idel wanted to show those people who had betrayed them this power, that can enable them to live on. Idel exclaimed that he wants it. End flashback. Idel tells them that at start, they only have to make a ‘contract’ with the fake Dominion and get the magic to stabilize within them but they weren’t able to finish the ‘contract’ and they are failures. At that time, it would have been better if they just renounce the fake knights’ power and Schwartz also proposed that they do that but they have no choice since Yakoh’s illness will come back to eat him away. Idel says that they [Anis and others] said that getting the Arcana cards is to become closer in becoming a true knight but that thing is already meaningless. Idel takes some cards and throws them on the floor. Idel laments that if this continues, Yakoh won’t wake up again. “If Yakoh isn’t around, I also do not want to live.”
Itsushi appears and says that Yakoh is sleeping because his power has violently surged. The power is released too much or rather, the ‘smell’ has decomposed to ion stage. In Anis’ words, it is a ‘super ferocious smell’. Isn’t too happy over that, Anis says that since he said ‘power too strong’, does that mean Yakoh’s strength isn’t weak. Itsushi says that is why it ‘violently surged’ and Yakoh wasn’t able to control that hidden strong ‘power’. Schwartz has also anticipated that it will turn out like this. He used the Green Rose’s surge of power and possibly, right now, he would want the entire city to sleep. He is going to put up a special ‘barrier’ in order to collect the Arcana cards. Schwartz’s last goal is to utterly destroy the devil’s seal and for the Grey Rose to attain the devil’s power. Idel cannot believe this is done to Yakoh for that reason. Tenjoh says that it seems that Itsushi has heard all this from Schwartz himself. Itsushi admits that it is true for it is Schwartz who told him. Everyone is shock and nervous upon hearing that. Itsushi falls on the floor and confesses that Schwartz is his master when the association[?] is being formed. Anis is shock that it is such a dark past. Itsushi is muttering about how he hates Schwartz and how Schwartz would ask him to help him one more time yet most of the time, he is being played around. Itsushi tells them that his plan is actually to try to persuade Schwartz from what he is doing. Seiran hugs Itsushi and exclaims that he thought that he won’t be coming back. Itsushi pats his head and tells them to forget about what happened before. He tells Anis and the knights about wanting to become their strength. Anis thinks that this is the bond of trust.
Anis shouts at Idel who is trying to secretly leave. Idel tells her that he is going to see Schwartz and ask him to wake Yakoh up. He shouts at her not to stop him. Anis smiles and says that she isn’t, they’ll go together for he won’t be able to find Schwartz if he has that state of mind. She tells him that as the Rose Princess, she cannot let the Arcana cards be taken. Anis thinks that Idel and Yakoh didn’t know of the mistake that they have done and she doesn’t know whether what her father is doing, is good or bad but it seems that he is messing around with them. Holding Idel’s shoulder, Anis says that they cannot let her papa do whatever he pleases. She pouts and thinks that actually, her brain is still confused over her first kiss but seeing someone who used to be quite arrogant to become like this – drenched wet in the heavy rain just to bring this guy, who won’t wake up, there. “I won’t treat this with one eye open and one eye closed. As the Rose Princess, this is how one would shout--!! Because one is fake or failure-whatever, I don’t want that that person to give up just because of being labeled as such.” Anis holds on to Idel and some magic is happening. Idel is surprised and asks her what she is doing. Anis tells him not to be afraid and feel it. Anis thinks that it isn’t necessary for him to hurt himself from today on. “Connect each other’s hearts and turn it into bonds.” Soon, from the magic circle between them, a new Rose card is created. Itsushi says that it is a ‘temporary contract’. Seiran exclaims in surprise since traditionally Anis can only have four people in contract yet now, she was able to temporarily add another one Rose Knight. Itsushi looks thoughtful and says that ancient contract magic is really strange since even if it is a temporary contract, and she should be able to do it only with the Four Rose Knights and right now, obviously the contract has been sealed with four people. Tenjoh and Mutsuki look thoughtful and suspiciously quiet. [<- As if they know something.] Seiran praises Anis for being amazing. Anis blushes and asks, really. Idel is in a daze and mutters that it feels as if he had a share of power. Holding out a card, Anis smiles and tells Idel that since he wants to help his comrade, this is one way [/idea] so they are linked together.
Holding a book, Itsushi warns Anis to be careful because making a temporary contract will bring about a contradictory situation. For example, if Idel is to use his powers as a Knight, Anis’ blood burden will be ten times heavier as compared to if Kaede uses his power. Thinking that 10x must be serious, Anis just says okay. Idel asks Anis if this is no problem. Anis scratches her head and says him not to mind it since it cannot be hindered, then she won’t hinder it. Idel smiles and says, “..Thank you.” Anis then asks if he is going to stop or consider it. Idel points to a rose on his uniform and says, as much as possible. [I think they are talking about using his power.] Tenjoh interrupts and asks if they are to use their full power against Schwartz. Anis says yes for they are to use their utmost strength to stop him. Flustered a bit, Anis looks at Mutsuki and says, “Right now, my heart and mind is in turmoil that I would want to run amok a bit.” Anis then looks away with Mutsuki who just quietly looks at her. Anis looks at sleeping Yakoh and thinks, “Just wait a while- I’ll definitely bring back your morning.” Anis looks serious and kisses her Rose cards. While swirls of rose petals float around her knights, the knights swear their allegiance by saying that until their soul passes away, they as her Rose Knights will be her servants. “Rose Princess, your order, please-” While touching the cards near her lips, Anis smiles and says, “Come with me--!” So, that’s chapter 29. I’m still wondering about Schwartz if he is really a bad guy or would suddenly have a sob story like Idel as to why he is doing what he is doing. I think that most probably all the bad guys here have their own respective sad stories. I know I shouldn’t think too much of it but Itsushi should have told them of his plans to convince Schwartz in order for them not to misunderstand things. Actually, it is highly suspicious as to why Schwartz would tell him all of his plans. Is it a cliche wherein bad guys are just too talkative? =P The type wherein one gloats since the protagonist are helpless in stopping them? I must have missed it but was it ever mentioned what Schwartz plan to do after unsealing that seal? Is he a rule the world type or probably like what Idel mentioned before, there is something important that he wants. I find Tenjoh and Mutsuki looking suspicious when they are wondering how come Anis was able to make another Rose contract with someone else. Chapter 30 teaser: Everyone in school has fallen asleep. It seems to be partly the doing of Ella and Shiden but also, Idel’s surge of power regarding that barrier thing. It seems that Anis and others have to do whatever they have to do within four hours. As they head out, some people ala zombies are going after them. It is Yokuto’s doing. Kaede wants a crack at them but Idel offers to be the one to stop them using his voice power. For Idel to use his power, it does take a toll on Anis since it is making her dizzy. Idel seems to offer to stay behind so that they can go ahead. It seems the rest split up wherein Anis is with Kaede and Mutsuki are in one group. Before leaving, it seems that Mitsuru is warning Anis about something or saying something ominous. Soon, Idel is getting tired. It seems that he doesn’t want to be a burden to Anis so he tore his Rose card. He uses his voice power one more time then starts coughing blood. Some final thoughts and he collapses. Anis realizes what happens and starts to freak out but Kaede pacifies her. Soon, they see Yokuto in front of them. Kaede gets his katana out and fights with Yokuto. Mitsuki is just standing there while Anis seems to be thinking about Mitsuki and Yokuto’s relationship. To Anis’ shock, Kaede is sudden struck by strings. It is Mitsuki’s doing. Mitsuki opens his coat to reveal that he is wearing that collar given by Yokuto. Then, it seems that Mitsuki is leaving with Yokuto and he is saying something about Dominion whether Anis is no longer his Dominion or he has a new one, I’m just guessing ^^; Anis tries to use her thorn vines to bind Mitsuki but the collar prevents it. She seems to accuse Yokuto of controlling Mitsuki but it seems he is saying that he wasn’t being controlled. Then, Mitsuki says something to Anis. That’s it. Okay, I’m still recovering from that but obviously Mitsuki is the traitor. Sob, I’m in denial. ^^;; I’m hoping that he is just going to be some sort of secret spy or something but seeing how Anis treated him after the kiss and other things, it really seems that for Mitsuki, it would be better to become the enemy. Sigh..so, I guess the possibility of Kaede being the one has increased unless it is the ‘I realize my feeling while you were away’ type. ^^; Proper summary and comments when the Chinese scans are out. While Kosei is showing off his athletic stuff to the judges of the audition, Masaki says that Kosei is pretty much the one who will play opposite of Kako in the movie. Masaki is the director =P Kako asks why he would do that when everything is going smoothly for him as an actor. Masaki says that it is because he wants to explore more of the possibilities that he can become. It is the same with Kosei whom Masaki heard will be going to the United States after this movie to study acting. Soon, they will be shooting at the couple’s hometown. Kako cannot concentrate because she is really bothered by what Masaki told her about Kosei. During the shoot, while Kosei is talking about them being together forever, Kako suddenly blurts out why he is going to some place alone. Kako apologizes for that and runs off. She bumps into Raichi [the cutey-cute guy] whom she didn’t recognize at first. Raichi tells her that according to his company, he has to change his roles [/persona] that he does because his voice is changing and he doesn’t suit wearing girly clothes anymore. Raichi thinks that since he is beautiful, he believes that everything will turn out okay. To his surprise, Kako tells him not to change for that persona is quite rare and it would be a waste to do a makeover over it. Raichi becomes embarrassed and exclaims that he knows that even if she didn’t tell him. He comments that Kako has changed. Soon, Kako looks over a cliff and beneath is a pile of flowers where she and Kosei used to play. Kako finds it quite nostalgic. Soon, Kosei appears and tells her that she knew about his studying abroad. It will be for around two years. He tells her that from just playing for Kako’s amusement, he begins to like acting and he will make it the path to which he will go to. He will do this quickly as possible so that she’ll welcome him back. Kako slaps him. She starts crying and saying that she doesn’t want him to change and leave her. Kako becomes surprise again by her outburst.
Just when Masaki appears and tells them that they will have to film again, Kosei hugs Kako to hide that she is crying. Kako wonders that it seems that she wants to monopolize Kosei. [<- hehe, she now knows how he felt all those time.] Kosei tells her that he had really endured a lot. Still hugging her, he jumps backwards from the cliff and falls over the pile of flowers and leaves. He tells her, “..being together with you, no matter what I do, I would always want to monopolize you. And just now, when you were crying, I do not want someone else to see it. ..to become an outstanding guy, I’ll leave for a short time. Okay, Kako?” Looking down on Kosei, Kako says, “..Kosei..I..I..absolutely do not agree to it..but I won’t hinder you. ..that is your own ‘Produce’ that you had discovered your own. ..Go..as much as you like..fly..later on..become..the world’s number 1 guy.. and come back to me! If it’s Kosei, you can really do it..definitely, because.. Because..Kosei is my..is my..greatest childhood friend.” While Kosei holds her crying yet smiling face, Kako thinks that he is her beloved ‘childhood friend’. Kosei says that is enough. He says, “Kako, I love you.” And, he kisses her. Two years after, the school is doing a play called ‘Lawrence and Rose’. The cast are Roy as Lawrence, Shinobu [that actress] as the princess and Raichi as jester. Shinobu and Raichi are fussing about as to who will wear the dress. It turns out that Kako has become a manager-in-training at Masaki’s company in order to be Kosei’s manager when he returns. Roy mentions that he heard that they weren’t able to always keep in touch but isn’t she lonely when Kosei isn’t around. Kako smiles and says she wasn’t for rather than ‘lonely’, she feels ‘anticipation’. Then, someone says that it infuriates him since that role obviously suits him. Kosei throws away his coat and gestures toward Kako. “Then, come to me, my princess.” Kako happily goes to him and gives him a hug. “So, Kosei, no matter when, we are together, in that dream-like world where there are only the two of us.” The end.
So, that’s the ending. The couple pretty much changed in the last few chapters. Letting go, changing to improve themselves, and getting back together again after a time skip. =P I would have wanted to know what happened to Masaki even if it is just a newspaper if he succeeded in being a director. Anyway, the author will have a new series, which will be out in Lala DX May issue on April 9th. It is called 3 Hearts. Hm..love triange? It is a fantasy which I think this author is good at. It is about a girl meeting with a captain of some freight airship, according to babelfish when I used it to translate the preview. From the picture, he looks like a pirate. At home, Sawatari the monkey is rolling over the carpet back and forth. It complains that it isn’t soft. Tsubaki holds it up and tells it to stop doing that else its fur would stick on it. While Sawatari tries to protest, Towako and Yuuga have arrived home. Towako happily calls out to Sawatari and says that they bought something nice for it. It is a small bed. Sawatari is delighted over it. Towako tells it that it is actually for a cat or dog but Yuuga said that it’s not bad at all so they chose something soft and bought it. Sawatari happily jumps into the bed. Towako is happy since Sawatari seems to really like it. Yuuga is going ‘Oh yes’ because Sawatari is always interrupting them every night. Just when Yuuga is about to go lovey-dovey with Towako, Sawatari would come out of Towako’s chest. It has already been three days since Yuuga has to stop midway before sex. Yuuga is surprised when Towako tells Sawatari to thank Yuuga for it is he who said that ‘it is absolutely necessary’ that is why they bought it. Yuuga felt pangs of guilt when twinkling eyes Sawatari ‘says’, “Thank you, Yuuga. I never thought that you are such a good person.” Towako is puzzled when Yuuga leaves while trying to psyche himself that he didn’t do anything wrong. While carrying some things, Tsubaki asks Utsugi if Setsuna is okay. Utsugi says that even if Setsuna is very depressed but compared before, he is much better now. Utsugi smiles at Tsubaki and says that even if he still couldn’t do anything but right now, he is quite optimistic and it is thanks to Tsubaki. Tsubaki turns away to hide that she’s blushing and tells Utsugi that his stupid smile isn’t bad at all. Utsugi exclaims that she’s so mean. Then, he takes out his notebook computer and tells Tsubaki that there is something that has been bothering him. They look at the stock market’s graphs. Utsugi says that before Gokurakuin’s stocks would maintain a relatively stable price/value but lately, an extraordinary company has started to stir things up and its performance is substantially growing fast. Utsugi tells Tsubaki that he has investigated this unknown company a bit. He asks her what her opinion about it. Tsubaki looks at the stocks and says that they cannot base anything just from this [/not enough data] but they should be more vigilant. Utsugi agrees with her and there will be no problem if it doesn’t affect the Gokurakuin family.
After the couple took a bath, Towako happily tells Yuuga to quickly look, Sawatari is already sleeping and they should have bought it earlier. Still feeling a bit guilty, Yuuga just mutters yes. Putting away those feelings, Yuuga tells her not to mind that and they should go to their bedroom. Yuuga is already carrying her away. To Yuuga’s surprise, Towako says that he’s acting strange lately since he is that cautious and he was indifferent before. Yuuga asks her if she doesn’t like it. Towako smiles and says, “Nope.” They hug and kiss. Towako thinks that it is quite bewildering for from the very start, her love for him isn’t quite the same as compared now which has become deeper and she come to understand the depths of love. The two freaks out when Tsubaki interrupts them by saying that they have a visitor. The blushing couple is flustered and asks if there is, at this time. Tsubaki says yes, and it is Kaoru. Kaoru apologizes for visiting them late. Yuuga is really angry [for the interruption] that he thinks that Kaoru really ought to apologize. Towako asks what happened for this is so sudden and he is also absent from school. Towako notices that Kaoru looks distressed and this is the first time she saw him like that. Kaoru says that he would want to ask a favor. “Towako..can you live with me for a week?” The couple is totally shock by this request. Yuuga angrily stands up and exclaims if Kaoru is joking around for how he could agree to that. Yuuga angrily points out that Kaoru has lead them in circles before yet today, he dares say that kind of thing. Towako tries to calm Yuuga down and tells him that they should let Kaoru finish what he is saying. Towako thinks that Kaoru must have run into some trouble. Kaoru slightly bows his head and says that he wants to inherit the Renjou [family/school]. Yuuga says that he already said before that no matter what, he doesn’t want to be the heir. Towako says that is right and according to his family rule, he should inherit the family business on his 23rd birthday and that day has already passed.
Kaoru admits that is true if that unexpected thing didn’t happen. He actually should have inherited it last month but there are people who stood against him. Flashback: Kaoru and his father were surprised when someone objected and said that Kaoru isn’t suitable to be the heir because before this, he would just travel around, then, on his own initiative, he became a teacher, and the most important of all, Kaoru disregarded the Renjou way of flower arrangement. The others voice out that they cannot follow Kaoru and if he becomes the head, they will break away from Renjou family/school and will just establish a new school. They suggest that if Kaoru’s father has decided on making Kaoru as the heir, Kaoru should get the top prize of the Lotus [Ren] Exhibit [/Show] and only then, they will recognize Kaoru. End flashback. Kaoru explains that the Lotus Exhibit is a show for Renjou’s [style of flower arrangement] disciples/students to show off their works and afterwards, there will be a competition in choosing the best works. Towako says that from the looks of it, this is very serious. Yuuga angrily asks what that has to do with Towako. Kaoru says that as a participant of the Lotus Exhibit, it is necessary to have a partner and the condition for it, is to eat and stay together with that person for a week, someone of opposite sex who is worthy of trust. Looking at Towako, Kaoru says, “The only one I thought of you is you.. can you be my partner?” While Towako blushes and looks a bit tense, Yuuga is totally irritated. He tells Kaoru to wait a minute, for all of it is just Kaoru reaping what he sowed, and he shouldn’t say those self-centered words. Yuuga sweatdrops because Kaoru didn’t answer back.
Looking a bit sad, Kaoru admits that Yuuga is right and he also felt that he is quite willful and impulsive, and actually before, he always thought that the family business is no big deal and he still thinks the same but his father is very depressed since he painstakingly care for the Renjou school and it wasn’t just ordinary people because he was betrayed by his disciples. “And, that is because of me, so I should do something a bit about it, right? *bowing* I know this is very selfish but I would still ask! Please help me!” Yuuga couldn’t answer back but he isn’t too happy either. To both the guys’ surprise, Towako says, “—okay. Since it is like that, if I can, I’m willing to help!” Yuuga is aghast as he asks her if she really wants to do that. Towako says yes, because Kaoru seems to look quite distressed, they were also taken care of grandpa Renjou before [<- I think I had skipped the chapter on this because I don’t recall it] and she also has some knowledge on flower arrangement. To Yuuga’s shock, Kaoru happily holds Towako’s hand and says, “Really? Thank you- I never thought that you would agree to help, then enough with the talking, quickly go to my house, as in we’ll go right now! Okay!” While Towako tries to say that going right now is.., Kaoru is already pulling her out and happily says that it is alright for his house has all the necessary things so she doesn’t need to prepare anything. While Towako is still speechless over the turn of events, Kaoru happily tells Tsubaki that he will be lending their ojousama for a while. Then, before Towako knew it, she is already inside Kaoru’s sports car. Towako exclaims that Kaoru is still the same for he’s still quite overbearing. Kaoru happily says that it’s good. While Towako frantically tries to call Yuuga for he would definitely be angry, Kaoru stops at the stoplight and tells her that he is quite anxious and also earlier, he wanted to be alone with her for a while. Towako looks tense. Kaoru looks at the front and says that half of what he just said is a joke. Towako is aghast as she thinks that if half of it is a joke, what about the other half of it but then, it is useless to think of it now. Kaoru tells Towako that he really doesn’t have much time. He also tells her that what he said about helping his father and he felt sorry for inconveniencing her is true. He is really sorry for involving her in this. Towako thinks that he is dishonest for even if he is saying that it is a joke, his expression shows that he is serious that she cannot just let him be [without a care].
Towako is surprised when Kaoru says that they have arrived. Kaoru tells her that they are at a mountain manor used for the Lotus Exhibit wherein the participant would stay together alone with one’s partner. When he mentioned alone, Towako asks if he plans on staying alone with her in this place for a week. Kaoru smiles and gives her a thumbs up sign. “That’s correct ☆ By the way, there is also no signal [for cellphones] here either.” Towako is totally shock. She exclaims that she thought she is going to stay with his family. She asks him if there is any other mountain manor nearby. To her shock again, he tells her that there are none if one is to go by foot. Towako starts to freak out as to what she ought to do because she is a wife yet she is going to stay alone with some other guy for a week. Kaoru tells her that regarding the other participant, there is something important that he ought to have told her. Towako exclaims if there is any more irritating stuff to come. Kaoru pauses for a while and says that the other participant is someone who is very troublesome and they both know that person. Back at the house, Yuuga kept on trying to contact Towako to no avail. Yuuga is getting irritated that he exclaims out loud as to where those two have went. He hastily writes an email reprimanding Towako for quickly leaving without talking things through and she should come back right away. After a pause, Yuuga deletes the email and just writes, ‘Do not overly do things’. [/or it could mean not to do things one will regret.] While Yuuga is groaning [and I’m not sure if he sent the message], Tsubaki opens the door and tells Yuuga that he has a visitor. Yuuga looks surprised to see that it is Saho. He welcomes her in and asks what it is for it is quite late already. Saho apologizes for coming so suddenly. Yuuga looks away and says that if she is looking for Towako, she is currently not at home or rather, she won’t be at home for a while. Yuuga is surprised when Saho tells him she came to ask a favor from him. Saho is blushing and asks surprised Yuuga, “About that.. I hope that you can live with me for a week..” [I think Yuuga’s surprised look is quite amusing. =P]
Towako surprised that their rival is Saho. She asks why this happened. Already inside the house, Kaoru tells her that Saho is a disciple of Renjou School and she received training under his father when she was young so her skills is quite good. Towako realizes that ‘practice’ that Saho is always mentioning meant flower arranging. Towako tells him that she doesn’t think that Saho is the type of person who would participate in a competition. “She is always quite calm and if I can say, she is the type who’ll reconcile between two parties [<- mediator]..” Kaoru looks surprised at her and asks, “Calm? That girl?” Towako seems tense since Kaoru didn’t know. Kaoru looks away and says that girl has her own discontentment [<- as to why they challenge Kaoru being the heir?] and that is how things are. It would perhaps be a bit awkward but still, he asks this favor from Towako. Towako cannot believe that she will be competing against Saho since they are in good terms but she already feels sleepy. Kaoru catches her before she falls down. Kaoru realizes that Towako has fallen asleep and he remembers the rule of the Gokurakuin about sleeping at exactly 21 o’clock. He feels sorry for Yuuga. He looks at Towako then starts to disrobe her multi-layer kimono. He is surprised when Sawatari suddenly comes out of Towako’s chest. Sawatari happily jumps around and asks if it is Kaoru who gave it a snack before and it wants more. Kaoru holds Sawatari on his hand and smiles. He asks it if it is guarding Towako. Kaoru tells it that he isn’t going to do anything and he thinks that Towako might felt uncomfortable that he is removing her outer garment. A note says that the inner garment of the kimono can be used as nightgown. Sawatari happily ‘says’ not to say a lot of things and just give him a snack. Blushing a bit, Kaoru says, “But, it’s a great help that you are here, to tell you the truth, just now is actually far from good.” [<- he’s really tempted] While Kaoru tucks Towako in, Towako thinks that she doesn’t want to compete against Saho but then, who is Saho’s partner..” Back at her house, Yuuga nervously asks, “Why me?” Saho nervously bows to him and asks him please, because she thought he is familiar about the Renjou situation and she trusts him so she hopes that he would help her. Yuuga asks if she is also opposing in making Kaoru into the heir.
To Yuuga’s surprise, Saho timidly says that is just an alibi and actually all of the disciples think that it is for the best that Kaoru becomes the heir. It is all because Kaoru isn’t always at home and just do whatever he pleases. Even if others criticize/reprimand him, Kaoru will just ignore them. They fear that if that kind of person will inherit the family business and he would suddenly want to give up on the Renjou School, it will be quite troublesome. So this time around, this is all just a set-up of the disciples in order for Kaoru to seriously think about the Renjou School. Yuuga angrily exclaims that since it is like that, it isn’t fundamentally necessary for Towako to help. He tells Saho that there is no need for her to join the competition. Saho blushes and says that she wants to use this occasion for Kaoru to acknowledge her. Saho explains that ever since before, her family and Kaoru’s family had a relation with each other [/go to each other’s houses]. From the time she started studying flower arrangement, she sees Kaoru who isn’t bounded by his family and can do whatever he wants. She thinks that he is amazing to do that and this is perhaps attributed to her way of thinking, and among other reasons that she is inferior because she cannot do that kind of thing. She tells Yuuga that she one-sidedly felt petty and low to the point of becoming impatient and uneasy that she couldn’t bring herself to be honest with Kaoru. “So, I thought that if I won against him even once, I might be able to get back my self-confidence..” Looking at blushing Saho, Yuuga comes to realize that Saho has feelings for Kaoru and the person Saho was talking before at the mountain trip is Kaoru. To Saho’s surprise, Yuuga finally agrees to help her even though he couldn’t guarantee that she will win. Saho happily thanks him. Yuuga happily says that if things go smoothly for her and Kaoru then, it is also for his advantage. Yuuga finds it amusing when Saho blushes and tries to say ‘not really’ kind of things. [Okay, it’s too blurry and small to read clearly ^^;] Yuuga and everyone else look on as Saho happily thanks Yuuga and says that she will go home first. She tells him that there will be a preliminary meeting for Lotus Exhibit tomorrow and until then, she’ll tell him the details about the situation. She also asks him not to inform the other participants. Yuuga remembers Towako and Kaoru. He has a premonition that things will become quite troublesome.
At the preliminary meeting, Towako is totally shock to see that Yuuga will be Saho’s partner. Yuuga tensely says that there are some reasons to it. Flustered and angry, Towako grabs Yuuga and whispers that like this, they will be rivals. She tells him that Kaoru has asked her about this as if his life depended on it so why is he Saho’s partner. Yuuga just tells her that is why he said that there are reasons to it. Towako insists that he tells her the reason but to her shock, Yuuga won’t tell her. Towako cannot believe this because he is being secretive and it is something about Saho. Saho apologizes to Towako and says that there is no other person she can ask. Towako cries that she doesn’t want this for she doesn’t want Yuuga to live all alone with Saho for one whole week. Aghast, Yuuga exclaims that he hasn’t heard anything about this. [<- living ALL ALONE together.] Saho apologizes and says that she plans to tell him today. Towako sweatdrops when Yuuga angrily shouts that it means Towako will also be living alone together for a week with Kaoru. To Yuuga’s shock, Kaoru tells him that it is a place where there is no signal. Thinking that Saho likes Yuuga, Towako exclaims that her and his situation isn’t the same. Thinking that Kaoru still has intention towards Towako, Yuuga exclaims that is right, it isn’t the same and he knows it. He angrily says that she obviously knew and yet she isn’t going to let this go. Towako angrily says that for him, even if this is the situation, he would still participate. Kaoru comments that this is an unexpected twist. While Saho tries to pacify the two, the couple calls out their respective partners and tells them to definitely win this. While the two are angrily looking at each other, Kaoru comments that it seems those two are already quite enthusiastic about this. Kaoru tells Saho that he wants to remind her to properly be aware that even if his opponent is ‘the ojousama of the Mizuno family’, he won’t go easy on her. Flustered, Saho tells him that it’s the same with him and she absolutely won’t lose to him. Yuuga then calls out to Saho and goes to her. He tells her not to have that kind of attitude [towards Kaoru]. While everyone is with their respective partners, Ritsuki is hiding by the pillar and is talking with someone on the phone. Looking at Saho, Ritsuki says, “-hello, Kyou? Very smoothly, everything is going as planned.. Saho is really doing her best (laugh) It is definitely very painful for the guy she likes to choose some other girl. It won’t be long now.. that girl will be dominated by jealousy.” Dark-looking Saho looks back to see Kaoru with Towako.
Kaoru goes to Towako and tells her not to display that kind of expression since it will scare people. Still angry, Towako tries to protest. She thinks that even if she is someone else’s partner in this contest but Yuuga will also be with some other girl and that girl is Saho who likes Yuuga and Yuuga still wanted to do it even if he knew about it [<- misunderstanding]. Kaoru says that it seems that there are a lot of trouble between her and Yuuga but right now, what’s really important is she is helping him so she ought to smile first. Towako asks him what kind of request is that. From the side, Saho looks longingly at Kaoru who is smiling gently at Towako. She snaps out of it when Ritsuki calls out to her. He asks if he can come out now for it will be troublesome if Yuuga sees him. Saho says yes for Yuuga went to the toilet. Ritsuki asks what’s troubling Saho. Saho asks if what she is doing is right, rivaling Kaoru, that it got Towako and others involved that the two are now in a fight. Ritsuki says that he knows that she wants to cower away from this but she has already decided in wanting to get Kaoru’s acknowledgement and overcome her self-inferiority so she shouldn’t mind the other things. Ritsuki takes out a small vial of liquid and tells Saho that there is no alternative but to do a little sacrifice. Saho exclaims what that medicine is. Ritsuki says that it is alright for it won’t kill someone, won’t harm the body and the residue won’t stay within the body. “It will just make one lose one’s sight.” Saho is shock and asks him why he has that medicine. Ritsuki tells her that along the way, he got someone’s help to make it. It will paralyze the optical nerve so that the person will experience pain and one will just have to wait for the poison to run its course and then, it will naturally heal by itself so there is nothing to worry about. Saho nervously says that if what he said is true then she won’t use it. Ritsuki tells him that Saho will just have to decide it by herself whether to use it or not but she ought to have it. “If there is any method that you can use, you should use it to get the thing that you want.” Ritsuki puts the vial in Saho’s hand and tells her that she is right [in doing this]. “No matter what happens, I will protect her. I stand at your side.”
At the stage, Kaoru’s father officially opens the Lotus Exhibit. The judges include the teachers within the school who possess the proof of being [/certified] qualified [to be judges] and participating this time are ten young people. In contrast to the previous years, there is a new system in place this year. There will be two ways of judging. The first one [/competition] is judging the prettiest and perfect flower arrangement being made onstage and how the flower geisha [<- ah, the name for the assistant wherein they imagined as some flower headed-mascot in a kimono] acted as the assistant. The way the second competition will be judged will be mentioned on the day itself. While Yuuga is wondering if he can do that, Kaoru’s father calls on Kaoru to go onstage to demonstrate how the first competition is done. Towako is surprised for it is so sudden and Kaoru calls out to her to come with him. Backstage, Kaoru tells Towako to bring out the flowers and the flower container to him after he finished talking. She is to hand him the flowers. Towako is shock for the container looks huge and she is to choose the flowers. Kaoru comments that it seems that this is to analyze on how well the person and one’s assistant know/sensitive to each other. [<- kind of being telepathically knows what the other wants]. Towako is still freaking out since this will be done onstage. Kaoru happily tells her that it will be alright for whatever flower she hands to him, he will definitely make it beautiful. Before leaving, Kaoru says that he’ll leave it to her. Towako tells herself to be attentive else she’ll really be unreliable and no matter how she thinks of it, it is inevitable. She decides to check out which flowers should go first. While looking at the flowers, a woman passes by and bumps into the other table causing the flower container to fall down and break in half. The woman apologizes to Towako. Then, Saho arrives and asks what happened. Towako asks why she is there for she should be with the audience but Saho tells her that there is just something she has to attend to but before that, isn’t that container what Kaoru going to use for the flower arrangement. She asks another woman if there is any other container to be used to replace it. The woman says that Kaoru wanted to do a big flower arrangement so he particularly chose that huge container. The ones remaining are smaller ones. Some people comment that if during Kaoru’s presentation, it is shown that Kaoru is in a chaotic state, it will give a bad impression of Kaoru on the judges. Towako remembers Kaoru telling her that he wants to be the heir. Saho says that it cannot be helped and they should just find some other substitute and Kaoru would definitely be able to think of a way for it.
Towako says that she is right. To Saho’s surprise, Towako suddenly removes her obi [/belt] on her kimono. Towako says that this is being impulsive but then, it cannot be helped for Kaoru would definitely do not want to use some small container. Kaoru has finished his speech. Kaoru thinks that Towako is so slow when he already said a long speech and what are those strange noises he heard. Soon, Towako brings out the container made from an obi and other flower arrangement utensils. Everyone is surprised by it including Yuuga who is watching from the audience. Kaoru is wondering about the container when Towako whispers that his container cannot be used and won’t this do. Kaoru smiles and says that it is lucky that she thought of this. Kaoru apologizes for making the audience wait and this time, he will show them a new theme so the obi is used as a flower container. The audience comments that Kaoru is really different from ordinary people. Kaoru tells the audience to watch. While Kaoru and Towako are busy doing their flower arrangement, Yuuga thinks that obi is Towako’s then he becomes irritated that he bows down which made his seatmate wonder what’s up with him. From backstage, Saho watches them and remembers her times of being with Kaoru, then afterwards, she ends up just watching him from the side. Saho’s expression becomes twisted with jealousy. After the two finishes their flower arrangement and was applauded by the audience, Saho goes back in and puts some water on two glasses. She opens the vial that Ritsuki gave her and drops its contents in one of the glasses. Ritsuki is standing by the door with a smile on his face. Back at the stage, Towako is delighted that things turned out well. They go backstage and Kaoru happily praise her for thinking of this idea. He admits being shock to see her replacing the broken container with her obi. Towako apologizes for that obi is from his family and she went out without an obi. Kaoru tells her that it is okay for that kimono already belongs to her and since she is wearing a coat, it isn’t noticeable that she isn’t wearing an obi. Towako comments that he is amazing because even if the container has been replaced, he is still able to improvise. Kaoru smiles and tells her that he told her that he can think of a way to make it beautiful. “But in the end, if you weren’t my partner, I definitely won’t be able to do it that well. It’s really great that I’ve chosen you.”
While the others are saying ‘good work’ to Kaoru, Towako thinks that she starts to understand a bit why Kaoru is popular among the girls. It’s because he’s mature, calm and collected and he can do whatever it is. Kaoru’s father goes to Kaoru and happily tells him that he’s amazing. Kaoru smiles and looks happy. Towako thinks that even so, she feels that it is a treasure to occasionally peek into what Kaoru is really thinking. She smiles and thinks that it made her happy to be dependent on by Kaoru but of course, this is only when she’s conveniently thinks of it. Someone tells Kaoru that the one who broke the container isn’t Towako but someone else. Kaoru tells Towako that she should have told him that. They begin to wonder where that woman is and they haven’t seen that woman before. Somewhere else, that woman apologizes to Ritsuki for she didn’t expect them to suddenly overcome that hard theme and it wasn’t easy to do it according to Ritsuki’s instructions of breaking the flower container. Ritsuki smiles and says that it is alright for he had anticipated that Towako will think of a way to fix it and in the end, the outcome is quite good. Ritsuki puts his arm around the woman and says that she’s very nice and such a good child that he’ll reward her. “The rest will be up to Saho--” Saho goes to Towako and the others. She tells them ‘good work’ and offers them some water to drink. Saho gives the glass to Towako. Thinking that Saho is really nice even if she didn’t treated her that nice, Towako takes the glass and thanks her. Towako and Kaoru drink their respective water. Holding the glass, Towako happily says that it is delicious, thank you. Saho’s expression isn’t shown. Kaoru casually puts the glass on Saho’s tray and says thanks. Kaoru tells Towako to find another obi. Towako says that he is right for she should return the coat. Saho then looks downwards and becomes very flustered. At the dressing room, Towako is putting on another new obi that was given to her. Towako is surprised when someone pulls her obi backwards. She looks back and sees that it is Yuuga. Towako angrily asks why he did that for her obi has loosened up again. Yuuga asks if that flower container is her obi. Towako asks what of it for it has nothing to do with him and they are rivals. “I’m still angry! You get out..”
Towako is surprised when Yuuga suddenly pushes her down on the dressing table. Yuuga tells her that he is also angry. He starts to ‘attack’ her while Towako tries to tell him to stop. Soon, she is aroused and mutters why. She wonders why he is being passionate now, just like that night. Yuuga kisses her and asks if she remembers. “You..belong to me right?” Flustered, Towako tries to sit up and says, “Wha- what.. of course, I am even if you don’t do this kind of thing..” Yuuga blushes and tells her to say it. Towako replies, “Ye..yes. It is so.” He hugs her and tells her to remember this well within the week. Towako hugs him back and thinks that he obviously is angry yet he planned to accept everything. “Even if what he did is quite rough, Yuuga always trust me..” Towako realizes something and pushes him away. She tells him that he is quite cunning for she is the only one who is given restrictions. “Even if I also trust you, but I’m still very uneasy.” Yuuga angrily tells her to think of something [to resolve it]. To his shock, Towako removes her wedding ring. Yuuga exclaims that didn’t she say he trust him, so why did she remove it and there’s no need to do something drastic. Towako asks him to lend his hand to her. Putting the ring in his little finger, she tells him, “Yuuga, wear my wedding ring. *pointing to her thumb with a ring* I’ll wear Yuuga’s wedding ring! *intertwining her hands with his* Like this, every time we see the ring, we will think of each other. If you remove it or lose it, I won’t forgive you!” Yuuga smiles and kisses her. He tells her, “The same with you.” Towako hugs him and kisses him. Towako thinks that actually, she hates to be apart from Yuuga for a week but even if they are separated, they can still think and remember each other.. After finishing their kiss, Towako tells Yuuga that they should go out. Yuuga says yes. While Towako is telling him that someone might come in, she sudden felt a sharp pain that she holds her head. Yuuga asks her what happened. Towako thinks that it felt her eyes are burning. Yuuga asks if her head hurts and does she want him to get her some medicine. Towako tells him yes then she becomes shock because something is wrong with her eyes.
That’s it for now. Sorry, it is a cliffhanger but this arc is way too long to do it in one swoop. There are about 10 more chapters to finish this arc. Anyway, Ritsuki is starting to move and it is quite sad that Saho let herself be used by him. Saho has succumbed to temptation to use that below-the-belt method and to her jealousy, forgetting that even if Kaoru likes Towako, Towako already has Yuuga. She just became impatient and didn’t think of the consequences like what if Yuuga and Kaoru knew what she did. She would have ‘lost’ those two guys from her life. I feel sorry for Yuuga since it seems that he is really being bullied and he really wants to do it again with Towako..but there are just too many interruptions. ^^; They are really no match for Kaoru’s impulsiveness. Kaoru is pretty clever to strike while the iron is hot that he whisks her away before they can contemplate on things. Hm..I wonder if there is really such that kind of medicine that causes temporary blindness. I’ve removed the Captcha from the tagboard since I’m not really fond of that. It is only last night I remembered that there is a way to make a link not clickable so that is what I’m going to do for those advertisement spams. Hehe, so that they won’t get any hits from my site. =P I’m somehow hoping it will deter them from spamming frequently. At a restaurant, Anna together with Nanoka and friends have all gathered for the ‘interview’. Hinata looks somewhat dumbfound when Anna tells him her biodata-type of introduction. “I’m Koshiro Anna. (15) Birthday is on March 10. Pisces. My family consists of my parents and a squirrel named Coco. My height is 158 cm. Regarding my weight, I’ll just leave it to your imagination. My eye vision is 1.5 on both eyes. My friends would always say and scold me for ‘making people very irritable’!!” Standing up with her arm raised, sparkling Anna says, “I’ll be under your care.” Aya just smiles at Anna while Nanoka comments that Anna is quite highly spirited. Blushing, Anna says that it is because she is really happy to be a model for a manga for the girls in shounen manga are very cute, have a very nice body figure and are very popular. “I unexpectedly can become that kind of girl--” Hinata nervously says that it isn’t definite that he can fully satisfy her expectations. Nanoka comments that Hinata is quite strange for he is planning to also use the name ‘Anna’ for his character. Hinata starts sketching and says that this is how the character looks like. Hinata draws a character that looks like Anna. Anna loves it and comments that Hinata drew it so cutely. Aya asks about the lead characters. Hinata tells her that it is on the other page, one page before that page. Hinata says that the right one, light haired guy is the lead character while the left one, dark haired guy is the love rival. The lead character is Kyouto [叶斗 which can also be Kanato/Kanata but the Japanese words are too small to confirm which is which ^^;], a young boy who is only enthusiastic yet an expert in soccer. The rival is Namikaze [波風 or Hafu] who seems to be able to do everything, the soccer club’s trump card and popular among the girls. Anna is amused upon seeing the two characters because the two are very much like Sou and Hinata.
Anna is surprised when Hinata tells her that just like the model character, they are all childhood friends, too. “It’s because the character is very much like Koshiro-chan that I want to hear out your train of thoughts.” Anna happily says that there’s no problem at all and what kind of story is it. Hinata tells her that generally it is about two guys who dream of going out together to become famous in the whole country. ‘Anna’ happily encourages them to ‘gambatte’/do their best. The three are childhood friends who grew up together but because someone [Namikaze] suddenly confessed [to ‘Anna’], from then on, the three’s relationship has begun to change. Then, to ‘Anna’s horror, Kyouto punches Namikaze and calls him stupid [for destroying everything?]. Kyouto declares that he will go to Tokyo for he wants his own playing technique to become more amazing. “It is a youth story of the times when there is also quarrelling and also chasing one’s dream.” Anna seems to become gloomy and thinks that it is that kind of story. Hinata closes his sketchbook and says that he doesn’t want to dilly-dally so he’ll start to ask the questions. “Koshiro-chan, you like Nagase-kun, right? Why did you dump him? What are you thinking [/feeling] when he confessed to you? Could it be that you don’t feel a little bit happy about it? From today on, what kind of relationship do you plan on dealing with him?” Anna is gloomy and shock by the barrage of questions. While Hinata continues to ask if for instance, Nagase-kun.., Aya quickly shouts for Hinata to stop, then she asks if Anna is alright. Looking somewhat ill, Anna says that she’s fine and it is only that she cannot cope up with Hinata being a tsukkomi* who continuously asked her things while she’s taking it all in. [*tsukkomi is the ‘straight man’ in a manzai play. I think Anna is saying that Hinata is being a tsukkomi who reprimands her as ‘boke’, the stupid one, for her mistakes.] Hinata starts to flip through his sketchbook and asks if there is anywhere where it seems that there is a tsukkomi and is there a contradiction in the story. Anna exclaims that she isn’t referring about a tsukkomi in the story but rather, what he told her is totally the same with her experience. “And, it seems that there is some misunderstanding. The one I like is Hinata.” Hinata blushes and goes ‘!?’. Nanoka looks dubious at Anna and says that in the end, Anna does like Hinata and what’s good about him.
Flustered, Anna corrects it by saying that it isn’t Hinata-kun but her childhood friend, Hinata, and she feels that she had enough with this misunderstanding. Hinata comments that it is really the same for Anna has another childhood friend. Anna says that is right, Hinata went to high school in Tokyo so Hinata only sees her and Sou. “Even if Sou is also important and also my childhood friend, but, because I like Hinata, so Hinata is comparatively more important and it isn’t just a simple thing..” Anna is surprised when Hinata says, “So that’s it.” Hinata starts to mutter to himself that is why there is a dispute because the leading girl, as a childhood friend, views the two guys as very important [to her]. “Even if a goddess-type of heroine likes an inconspicuous kingly [/happy type not easily depressed type] protagonist, a kingly person has his own kingly reasons and no matter what era, one also needs..this and that, that and this..” Nanoka looks aghast as she mutters that otaku/nerd guy is quite scary. Aya tells the others that they should leave since Hinata has gone into his creative mode. While walking together in the streets, Aya says that regarding their photo shoot, it is better for them to do it after Hinata finishes his last minute draft because he looks better in that picture during the original draft. While Aya is telling Nanoka about the other stages of drawing the manga like the drawing and inking, Anna is busy wondering why Hinata would think that she likes Sou and is it because he doesn’t know of Hinata’s existence. Then, Nanoka sighs in relief that Anna fundamentally likes Hinata for she thought that the one Anna likes is Sou. Anna couldn’t believe that Nanoka also thinks that way, too. Pointing at Anna, Nanoka tells her to recall over what she has been doing lately. “Everyday you are saying ‘Sou’ and you would also be angry, happy or cry over ‘Sou’. Like that, Hinata-kun himself would also misunderstand.” Anna recalls what she has been doing: 1. takes a picture of herself and Sou then sends it to Hinata, 2. after being told by Sou of wanting to ‘keep a distance’, she would go sobbing to Hinata, and 3. she snubs Hinata’s birthday but would be overly excited over Sou’s birthday to the point of calling Hinata and telling him that she wants to make Sou happy. Anna looks horrified as she wonders, “Wha..what [air]plane am I on? I couldn’t believe that is how I treated the person I like.” [It is a bit small but it seems Aya is also telling Nanoka to reflect on what she has also been doing lately.] Anna thinks, “Ah, but why would Hinata lately contact me quite eagerly.. During spring break, the times when he would contact me is pretty much zero.. I don’t understand. Geez, I totally do not understand what Hinata is thinking!!!”
In school, during the Kyugi Taikai for the first year, some students are playing volleyball. Scowling Anna is looking at her cellphone. She wonders what to do and regarding this, she ought to ask Hinata himself. “But how am I going to ask it.” Anna imagines herself shyly saying, ‘What do you think, regarding me?’ but thinks that it impossible since she finds it very disgusting [to say it that way]. Then, some girls call out to Anna and ask if she is the one who is going to record the event and how about taking their picture. Anna says okay and takes their picture. Anna laughs over the pose they made. The girls thank her and ask her what she is doing in that corner when she should be taking pictures of the guys who are currently competing. This somewhat made Anna become tense. She looks at the side to see that Sou has scored a goal. The other girls comment that Sou is amazing and he’s in the volleyball club. Still looking at Sou who is congratulated by his teammates, Anna thinks that during the inter-class competition, she can only stay at the corner because the center of attraction in class is Sou. Anna then unconsciously takes Sou’s picture [but she doesn’t seem to be looking in the viewfinder]. Anna freaks out as to what picture she is taking. The three girls exclaim if Anna just took Sou’s picture. They want a copy for each of them after it is developed. Anna is totally shock as they left. She becomes gloomy and wonders what she should do if Sou learns about this and how is he going to scold her. Suddenly, her cellphone is ringing. She wonders if it is text. Anna perks up for it turns out to be a phone call from Hinata. She answers the phone and exclaims, “Hinata!” Standing on the balcony, Hinata greets her a ‘good job’ [for knowing it is him or lasting out another day of school?] Hearing the noise, Hinata asks if she is still in school. Looking for a place to hide, Anna goes into the equipment room and sits down on the floor. She tells him that yes, for there is a Kyugi Taikai in the afternoon and their class is always winning. While Anna looks dreamily, Hinata says is that so, and being in the same class as Sou, they can always get ahead. Anna suddenly imagines Nanoka snorting with contempt that Hinata will also misunderstand. A chibi Nanoka exclaims that she didn’t say it that way. Anna asks Sou why he would bring up Sou. “Please explain yourself clearly, ah, it’s also okay even if you don’t!!”
While Hinata seems to tries to ask if this is about integrity, Anna says, “It seems that you misunderstood so I’ll clearly and plainly tell you.. Right now and also some time before, the one I like is you!!” Hinata looks surprised. Anna freaks out over conveniently confessing to Hinata again and it pains her to hear his silence. When Hinata calls her name, Anna quickly exclaims, “No, I’m not thinking of wanting to hear your answer. I should say that it is enough that you keep what I said in your heart.” Hinata pauses a bit and says, “Anna, during third year junior high, you also said, ‘I already know your answer so there is no need to reply’. *looking serious* Right now, you still won’t let me say it, right?” This surprises Anna. She asks him what he is going to say. Hinata says, “Fufu- Because you’ve said, ‘don’t say it’ then I won’t be saying it.” Anna is aghast as she exclaims that she didn’t say ‘don’t say it’. Hinata says that it means the same about not wanting to change anything. Anna is speechless for she couldn’t answer back. Hinata laughs and tells her to calm down. “I’ll tell you the next time we meet.” Anna asks, “Next time?” Hinata tells her that it is the next time he comes back during summer break. Anna thinks that it is too far away because it is still May now. While Anna is wondering how many months before they’ll see each other, someone says on the other line, “Actually, it is also okay to see each other this coming weekend, right? And, it has also become a relaxing distance wherein one can go back and forth within one day -♥” Anna looks surprised as she wonders whose voice it is. Then, she exclaims, “Mashiro-kun?!” While Hinata is looking speechless since Mashiro has grabbed his cellphone and is now talking with Anna, Mashiro happily says, “That’s- right☆ Right now, Hinata is at my house. *Mashiro just came home from buying something* Ah, right now, I’m going to cook dinner- please wait a moment.” Hinata says that compared to that, how about returning his cellphone to him. Mashiro ignores him and tells Anna that it is better to talk face to face rather than on the phone. “So, how about leaving it up to me the responsibility of taking and bringing you back?” Anna happily asks, “Really?!” Mashiro says that he’s serious and she can stay at his house. Anna happily exclaims if she can and she would want to go. Mashiro sheepishly says that Hinata has to also agree to it. He gives the cellphone back to Hinata. Anna’s eyes widen in surprise when Hinata says, “You can. Then, let’s go on a date. I’ll contact you again. You are still in the Kyugi Taikai, right. Sorry about that.” Anna is thinking, “I’m going on a date with Hinata..” After hanging up, Anna is still stunned over what happened that it took her time to react to Nanoka who is looking for her. Anna then crawls out of her hiding place and calls out to Nanoka. Anna frantically tells her to listen to what she has to say. Nanoka is surprised over it while Anna looks quite excited. They didn’t notice that while everyone are busy chatting and having fun, Sou is sadly looking at Anna’s direction.
I really love the surprises that come out in every chapter of this series. Wow, out of the blue, Hinata is finally going to tell Anna his answer and they are going on a date. Ah, Mashiro is really their cupid. =P For Mashiro to do all this for Anna, he must know something that Anna doesn’t..hehe. As for Sou, I’m conflicted whether to feel sorry for him or not because he did gave up so.. It also does seem to show that even if Sou ‘left’ Anna, Anna can still move on with her life. Hm..I wonder if Sou heard what they are talking about. I think Anna can be loud especially if she is excited. It is nice to see how Anna is somehow ‘adopted’ into Nanoka’s childhood friend group since she is ‘apart’ from hers. Also, it’s nice to see how Nanoka who used to be quite detestable can actually be Anna’s good friend. ^^ Hinata is really amusing that he manages to create a story which is pretty much spot on Anna’s experience. I think he is a very keen observer of people which is also the same for Nanoka. Hm..it seems that both of them also has a tendency to be brutally blunt with others. ^^;; I wonder if the author is giving us hints regarding this series as to who the lead male character is based on Hinata’s manga. Oh well, I try not to expect anything especially since this author loves to surprise her readers and hope that the next chapter will be an exceptionally good one. ^^
I found another short side story which is somewhat like a continuation to the side story in volume 2 wherein Hinata’s mother tends to make cute bento boxes for Hinata and in the end, she bought a cute cat outfit for him which Hinata doesn’t quite like. The author also made a mistake about Hinata’s mother’s age. It is suppose to be 39. Anyway, the author explains that there are a lot of readers asking about how Hinata chooses his clothes and this is a side story that the author thought of. Hinata’s mother is usually the one who buys Hinata’s clothes and she likes cat, cute type of stuff until the time in volume 2, Hinata decides to be the one who’ll buy his own clothes. He would ask his mother for some money and, his mother is somewhat unhappy about it. Since Hinata is the type of guy who isn’t that into clothes, he casually went to the store where Sou usually buys his clothes. While busily chatting with the store manager, Sou didn’t notice that Hinata is buying some clothes. Sou is a guy who likes shopping and is into fashion. Since they are both buying clothes at the same store, this incident happened. Sou is horrified that he and Hinata are wearing the same outfit but it’s in different colors. Sou’s is black while Hinata seems to be light blue. Sou exclaims for Hinata to take off that t-shirt but Hinata doesn’t want to since it is a hassle. Hinata tells him that it also doesn’t matter since they won’t be out together the whole day anyway. Aghast, Sou exclaims that isn’t the issue, but it’s just gross. When Hinata suggests that Sou be the one to change his t-shirt, Sou stubbornly refuses to do so. Hinata tells him that he’ll just go ahead and leave first. Sou angrily shouts for Hinata not to snub him. While brushing her teeth, Anna thinks that those two are quite noisy so early in the morning. So, in the end, that day, they ended up wearing the same outfit. =P I’m still waiting to find a Chinese scan of Mashiro’s side story. There is also a shorter one regarding Beni and Sou's same cellphone strap.

Tsubaki is hiding behind the post while looking at her house. She thinks that even if it is a big thing, she cannot just go back to the house without a cause or a reason. She wonders how she is going to explain this to her parents and how about asking Kyouta to help her explain. [Not too sure on this but it seems that she is wondering if they won’t reprimand her that much in front of a strange [Kyouta] to them.] In the end, Tsubaki decides against it since for the meantime, it might be better for her not to mention about Kyouta to her family. She happily holds her cellphone tight and remembers Kyouta expressing his happiness that she stayed with him the whole night. “I don’t regret it one bit. Staying beside Tsubaki-kun like that..” Suddenly, someone calls out to her. Tsubaki is startled to see her mother appearing behind her. Her mother asks where the hell she went, all of a sudden. Tsubaki is freaking out since she is going to have a dressing down out in public and she isn’t prepared for that. Her mother grabs Tsubaki’s shoulders and shouts for her to explain things clearly to her. To Tsubaki’s surprise, her mother suddenly bends down to the ground and cry that it’s great that she is alright. While Tsubaki tries to ask her mother what happened, she notices that her mother’s hand, that is holding her hand, is trembling. Suddenly, Sakura appears from the corner and exclaims that Tsubaki has finally come home safely. Sakura quickly gets her cellphone to call their father that Tsubaki has finally come home. Sakura exclaims in shock that their father is already in some faraway park while looking for Tsubaki. Tsubaki begins to realize that everyone is outside looking for her. Touching her mother’s shoulder, Tsubaki notices that it is cold so they must have been long for her for such a long time. Tsubaki blames herself for not calling and she never thought that they would be this worried about her. Tsubaki bends down to her mother and apologizes. She gulps then finally confesses that it is because she wanted to be always with the person she liked. Tsubaki thinks that it seems that it won’t do if she didn’t say the truth.
At home, everyone is quietly sitting on the living room while Tsubaki braces herself for some scolding. Sakura breaks the ice by saying that Tsubaki has already apologized a lot and it is only because her boyfriend got into an accident. She tells Tsubaki not to say things that could make others misunderstand her. Tsubaki tells her parents that what happened to him [Kyouta] is her fault so from today on, she has to start visiting him and she will be going home late. Tsubaki’s mother starts to ask her as to which hospital and room number, the guy she likes, is admitted in. Tsubaki didn’t answer the latter question because she wants to know why her mother wants to know. Her mother tells her that she wants to talk to that guy and tell him not to meddle too much on Tsubaki’s business. Her mother admits that there is something that makes her always uneasy over Tsubaki’s life in that school and it turns out to be because of some worthless bad kid and Tsubaki definitely got their bad influences. Tsubaki wonders why her mother is thinking that way. Sakura helps her sister by telling their mother that Kyouta is someone who is always number one in the grades ranking and he’s a super good looking guy. Tsubaki’s mother exclaims that wasn’t a kid named Kyouta, called Tsubaki out before in the middle of the night. Her mother laments that Tsubaki wasn’t like this before, wherein she’ll stay out all night without even calling home, and returning home in the morning. She exclaims that in the end, it is the influence of that bad kid. Sakura laments that even if the grades are good but if the behavior is bad, it still won’t do. Tsubaki wonders what she should do because Kyouta is gradually portrayed as a real bad kid yet she couldn’t say that her mother is wrong because it is her fault for not contacting her family.
Tsubaki is surprised when her mother asks her back the cellphone that she gave her. Her mother tells her that it was given to her in order for this kind of incident not to happen yet in the end, it is useless. “It isn’t necessary for you to use it anymore since you fundamentally won’t use it to call home.” Sakura comments that she shouldn’t go as far as confiscating it. Tsubaki is quiet then she hands over her cellphone. She apologizes to her mother and says that she should have always maintained communication with her family. While Sakura is freaking out and asking Tsubaki if that is alright, Tsubaki’s mother is really happy for Tsubaki always understands her [mother] pains [/troubles] and this will also put her at ease. “Essentially, it isn’t necessary for you to visit him. That accident happened because he didn’t obey traffic regulations. That child reaped what he sowed! You’ll be in third year soon and this is a very crucial time so you shouldn’t concern yourself with any troublesome things!” To the mother’s surprise, Tsubaki declares, “From today on, I’ll assure you that I’ll maintain communication with you [/home]! No matter if it is visiting [him] or going some place with someone else.. I’ll report everything with you! Regarding studies, I will put more effort on it! I will definitely get a top university’s quota recommendation! [<- get high grades in the exams to get a recommendation] All of this- will come out perfectly. I’ll do it and show you all! This way, I ought to be able to stay by his side..” At the hospital, after some time, Kyouta looks as if he is getting well. Holding an answer sheet, Kyouta praises Tsubaki that she is amazing for all of it is correct. Kyouta comments that she knows the scope of the term exam. He sighs in relief for he was worried that she didn’t know. Tsubaki is shock to hear this. Kyouta says that it is because she takes time to visit him everyday that he fears of what will happen in case a problem, regarding her studies, arises. “So you weren’t prepared to tell me.. [<- not sure what he is referring to; maybe something awful happened yet she isn’t telling him.] Thinking of this makes me unhappy~~ I’m afraid that you won’t come and see me again!”
Tsubaki blushes over this. She assures him that she will definitely do her best in this upcoming term exam, she will attain a top university’s quota recommendation and.. She happily says, “And, this time for once in every ten thousand years, I will be able to get two quota recommendations! This is a really big opportunity~~~ *looking at irritated Kyouta* Thanks you, thanks to you!” Kyouta can only angrily mutter, “Why you~” The other recommendation is suppose to be Kyouta’s since he is always number one in the exams but since he is in the hospital, he won’t get it. Noticing that it is 10 minutes past five o’clock, Tsubaki says that his clothes ought to have been laundered so she’ll help him get it. Kyouta sits up and tells her that there is no need for her to do things thoroughly. Tsubaki tells him to get better until he can use a wheelchair and get it himself. Kyouta asks what she is saying. Tsubaki smiles and tells him that right now, it feels as if they are recently married newly weds. She becomes embarrassed by what she said that she quickly leaves, leaving Kyouta surprised and blushing. So, Tsubaki gets his clothes from the washing machine, calls home on the pay phone, rides the train back and studies at home. Narration: “It is obviously a very simple thing.. I just ought to properly do the things that I should do.. Then, mama won’t have any complaints~~ So regarding going steady with Tsubaki-kun, I’ll also be able to get [her] approval..” At home, Tsubaki’s mother is surprised that Tsubaki is already heading out to school when it is still 7am. While wearing her shoes, Tsubaki tells her that she wants to go early in order to review a bit. Her mother worriedly asks if she is alright. Holding a batch of English sentence review cards, Tsubaki smiles and tells her mother that she will attain the highest grade [ever gotten] until now so her mother should anticipate it. Her mother can only look on anxiously as Tsubaki leaves the house. At school, a couple of male students come in and complains about not prepared for the English exam. They were shock to see unconscious Tsubaki on the floor near the shoe lockers. Her English review cards show, ‘Do more harm than good’. Narration: “If I put in more, and a lot of effort [into it], then everything would come out smoothly, right..”
So..just like Tsubaki, I thought everything is going to be okay until the author suddenly pulled the carpet under her and splat..everything is a mess again. Her review cards pretty much said it all, ‘Do more harm than good’. Tsubaki being Tsubaki worked really hard to the point that her mother starts to worry about her..to the point that her body can no longer cope up with what she’s doing. I think it is more on exhaustion and lack of sleep. If this is a marathon, she conked out in the last lap. Guess who is going to take the blame for it? Why, of course, it will be Kyouta. I’m thinking that in the latter arcs, Kyouta will now have to prove to Tsubaki’s mother that he is worthy of Tsubaki. Hm..he has to work hard though since her mother really had a bad impression of him. Since his father is into ‘appearances in front of others’, those two will indeed be pressured by their parents to break up.I think it might be better to lay low for a while if they can do it. This chapter also shows the extreme kinds of parents = Kyouta’s father who doesn’t care about him and thinks he’s just trouble and Tsubaki’s mother who can be overly protective and puts too high expectations on Tsubaki.
