Yugioh will be dubbed locally in a local channel. If the time is right, I might watch this one rather than the one in Cartoon Network since I cannot stand the English dub. I also manage to see an ad of Super GALS! Kotobuki Ran, which is shown this morning. I managed to watch it since it looked cool. Well, I wasn’t disappointed with it. The main character is Ran, who symbolizes what they say as girl power these days. She had two friends – Aya and Miyu and I don’t know if it happens in Japan but they have a territory in Shibuya, which other girls cannot just hang out in their territory. I wasn’t able to watch the first part since the show started earlier than its time slot.

I think that they represent what Japanese teens are today – cool, hip fashion, cell phones, long painted nails and the works. First, Ran was chatting with two guys and she is into a guy. Then, went to Shibuya where she met with her friends and shoo away some other girls who are in their territory. At school, her friend Miyu was being harassed by her past of being a head of a gang before. Everyone was gossiping about it and well, Ran told them not to and flying kick a guy on the head when he said something bad about Miyu. In the end, Miyu got a call from her ex-rival gang, Eagle to meet at the park. They tried to attack her with steel pipes. Ran saw the cell phone message so she ran off to help Miyu as the two boys saw her running. Frankly, at first, I thought this was just another magical shoujo story. I had searched a review on it and it is about Ran helping other girls with problems like boyfriends using their girlfriends to steal, stalkers and bullies. In short, there will be a lot of modern day problems of girls in Japan being tackled. This is licensed by ADV.

In Project Arms, Ryu just grabbed Hayato and with Takeshi, they retreat first then thought of a plan to rescue Maya who was tied at the back of ‘Jason’. Then, the two kids are talking about the arms that they are metal which is living and if completely merged, one can be pretty powerful but a powerful electric voltage can stun it to render it useless for a limited time. They lured the ‘Magician’ [the one with ‘Jason’ robot] into a room filled with fire extinguish and he fought with statues moved by rope. Ryu managed to hold on ‘Jason’ as Takeshi freed his sister. ‘Magician’ managed to get out of the room but was punched by Hayato who had somewhat regained the power of his arm. Ryu punched ‘Jason’ but the two are still alive so they went to plan B, Ryu, using the skills he learned from his dad, managed to blow up the room using flour, dust and electricity. Then, they learned that they are robots and were caught off guard since these robots are indestructible. Takeshi and Ryu were knocked out. The two retrieved Maya as they told Hayato that it seem to be back to square one. Meanwhile, a helicopter was flying over to the school. There was a fat guy there who seemed to be a politician and Keith, the guy who had wiped off Hayato’s family. He seem to be the head of the Agregory group as he said that the two kids were cast off by the school and their family for being too much of a genius so the group took them in and with their help, managed to make weapons and the two invincible robots but it seemed that they had gone overboard this time.

In MGS1, I was outside the tank hanger then was later told that I missed something- mine detector and had to go back again. Argh, that infrared thingie again, which I have to avoid and I got gassed in a lot of times before I managed to get it. ^^; So, I managed to get out again and fought of a boss in a tank who was supposedly an Indian but talks like Arnold of Terminator. [I’m lazy to look for his surname.] Then, went to the nuke building. I was told by mystery guy to get a rocket launcher to destroy the electric floor panel and boy, it was hard to control that rocket and I wasn’t sure of the layout that I used up 10 rockets of 12 before I was able to get the target. ^^;; Inside, I managed to fight of with a ninja who can turn invincible. My sensei told me to drop all of my weapons. I tried all of the buttons to toss all the weapons but it won’t work. Maybe use it all up but that ninja was laughing that weapons cannot hurt him. It was later on when I figured it out. It meant that I ought to punch him. ^^; I managed to finish him off and I want to do it again with less life consumed so I didn’t save it yet. Amusingly, the professor whom I was suppose to rescue was an anime fan and when Snake told him that he works alone, the professor asked if he was an otaku. Hehehe. It seemed that they did presume that people who would play this game would be an anime fan.

Late afternoon yesterday, the cover glass of my convict aquarium cracked into two. It was a good thing that I went out since I saw the light inside the water still on. Thank God that the fishes weren’t electrocuted. Only one baby fish had died. I really felt bad about it. Well, it did give the fishes a fright but they seem to be okay when I feed them. The flower horn fishes are really aggressive that they bit off all the thread that ties the net to separate the fishes. One slipped to the other side and so it got bitten badly. ^^; Well, I put safety pins so that they won’t bite on it anymore.

Hehehe...well, it was much better and Jubei's needles are way too large. In Project Arms, the two kids are planning everything in some dark room as they declare their hate for the school, which had made their lives miserable so they planned their attack there. Ryu and others got the letter about kidnapping Maya, the sister of Takeshi [new guy]. Takeshi declared that he doesn’t care since they might be just bullies. Hayato is frustrated with him, Natsumi [Ryu’s friend] slapped him and Ryu gave him an encouraging note. When it was dismissal, the two kids blocked all the entrance except two, which were planted with bombs. Ryu figured it out so they managed to toss away the main bomb. Somehow, all the students escaped as the ‘Jason’ and another masked guy who turned out to be robots controlled by the two kids attacked Ryu and Hayato. Hayato was down and before Ryu was about to be electrocuted, too, Takeshi decided to help them by giving the one who got Hayato a flying kick.

There is a nice Korean drama called Premonition of Love in Arirang and we managed to catch it at the end part of episode 3. It is a love story in the setting of a corporate world. Kim is a sales promo girl who dreams of going to work at the main office and she has the credentials. Unfortunately for her, her co-worker and a worker in the department which she hopes to transfer to hate her. Her co-worker is jealous of her and does everything so Kim won’t get promoted. The one in the upper level had an eye on Kim’s boyfriend who works at the same cosmetic company as a researcher. Well, Kim just doesn’t give up and does her best in her work. Early in the episode that I have not seen, she had met an architect whom she must have quarreled with. Later on, the architect thought of courting her and ended up being the new marketing director of the same company. Just like Bright Girl, this drama shows the real world of the corporate world wherein there are politics, which try to destroy each other. The architect got into the company to help the main director save his job from the four guys who are out to boot the director by getting the ones loyal to him booted out. So far, Kim’s work is making herself known to the architect who wanted to give her a higher position, the one that Kim wanted to have.

Secretly in Love is reminding me of Hanakimi because of the similarities between the story. It is a light hearted romantic comedy and it is better than Poor Prince since they aren’t over acting. I think Jimmy Lin is in there, too and I think I’m wrong about the gay guy being in there. Jimmy Lin used to be a really super famous idol in Taiwan that was until he temporarily stopped his career since they require their citizens to have military training for one or two years. His batch is with Takeshi Kaneshiro and two others from ‘Little Tigers’ group. He was the only one who still looks youthful as before.

In Project Arms, they found the new guy who was a wimp whom bullies like to pick on. His younger sister tried to stop them but he went berserk that his legs went crazy, thrashing everything so the two tried to stop him and Ryu had accidentally activated his right arm. Hayato would have a sweatdrop if this weren’t a serious anime. He watched as the two tried to control their ‘arms’ and said it seems that the two still cannot control them. Ryu just punched the guy [I forgot the name] to keep him calm. They learned that the guy had saved the younger sister from a truck and he got operated on. The guy blames all his problems at her sister and told them that he doesn’t want to be with them or fight against the Agregory[?] group who were after them. Unknown to them, two twin kids from Agregory had found them. To play with them, they decided to kidnap someone and that will be the younger sister of the new guy. The guy who kidnapped her looked like Jason - the masked killer guy. ^^;;;

Oh ya, about Scrapped Princess, somehow the battle stopped and Chris had helped Pacifica escape. All of them are now camping at a forest as the talk and tested Pacifica’s food. They all cannot eat it except her siblings and Zefiris. That night, Pacifica broke down after all that happened. Next morning, she ordered Shannon to wash the laundry with her and Raquelle. Shannon reminds me of Kenshin. ^-^ Then, Pacifica will take a bath and saw an older version of her with grey hair. They talked a bit and she disappeared so Pacifica called out to the others. She told them what she saw though they didn’t seem to believe her at first. The kingdom seem to be preparing some kind of battle and the ‘gods’[?] are observing things and stuff.

I am now playing MGS1. Good thing that if I got killed, it would be back at that scene, not begin where I had last saved. The reason why I get killed is carelessness. I also haven’t gotten used to the buttons. I was going to shoot, I pressed the duck button...got shot at and dead. ^^; The really stupid one is when I crossed the string which made everything blow up. It was really pathetic and I’m playing the easy mode. Anyway, the story is interesting. Snake was told to rescue some people from terrorists who plan to release a nuke in exchange for their dead[?] boss. Things aren’t quite easy since the hostages after being released, suddenly die of a heart attack when they are going to tell Snake something important and it was hinted that he was being used.

I had found the angel wings that I needed. I would just have to paste them and fix some a bit then color the different scenes. Nothing much happened to Project Arms yesterday except fighting the goon, Ryu knew that he isn’t normal, Ryu and Hayato = ‘Ken’ teamed up to find the other two who have the same powers as them to defeat the organization who are after them for a certain disc/information and that’s it.

It is being used lately ever since that Senate hearing wherein the guy who supposedly knows everything about the bank account which was investigated had kept his mouth shut about it by invoking his right to privacy. It is really a great excuse, which people are now using to avoid questions from people whom they do not want to answer. Do you know about so and so? I have the right to my privacy. Do you have a boy/girlfriend? I have the right to my privacy. The unfortunate thing here is that even other suspects of crime are also invoking it. ^^;

I forgot to mention what happened with Nii visit. Well, so blood tests are okay and increase of the iron medicine to make that weekly injection to increase blood production more effective. I had been checking my medical records while waiting for the doctor. My mother said it was unethical but I said, it is my records. ^^;; I’m just comparing my blood count before and now. It was indeed higher before. When I asked Nii if it was common for my case, he said that no, people who have transplants usually have higher blood counts that they have to take medicines to lower it down. Okay...I guess I’m most of the time opposite of the other cases since I should have gained weight not vice-versa. ^^; We are still waiting for the tests of whether I can change medicine since the one I currently having might be the cause of the frequent skin infections. Also, on the other one if it was in the right level – to know if one of the medicine need to be increased or maintained.

I had re-did the smaller wings for the angels when I found a nicer one. The ones before are upward and I found wings that are downward which my father said is like resting while the other one seem to be going on a flight. I really should finish the basics this week and try to flash it next week. I’m behind schedule.

I wasn’t able to watch the Korean soap in the afternoon which starred the lead of Bright Girl because it is at the same time as Project Arms. From the first episode, Project Arms looked interesting enough for me to follow. Ryu was narrating that it all started that day – a scene wherein a building collapsed with an arm outstretched. He said that he cannot move his body then some scenes of being led to the hospital and being operated on. Present day – he climbed up to a building to look at nest of birds as his childhood friend [girl – I didn’t get her name] called me to go down and help with the school chores. He went down and showed them his just healed right hand, which he had hurt a while ago. He teased his friends that maybe it was because of the operation he had before and they made him invincible.

In class, they have a new student who looked like Ken of St. Fighter and had a cast on his left hand. He was staring at Ryu that suddenly Ryu’s right arm hurt. Ryu just smiled and tried to shake his hand but ‘Ken’ just hit it away which doesn’t made the girl happy about it. Later on, they heard news that ‘Ken’ is fighting with some bullies. By the time, Ryu got there, ‘Ken’ basically finished all of them. He claimed that Ryu was his enemy as said by his left arm and started fighting Ryu. Ryu managed to fight him off since his father thought him some martial arts. ‘Ken’ then swore that he is his sworn enemy as said by his left arm and he revealed his mechanical left arm. He was about to attack Ryu when the girl and a teacher came so ‘Ken’ had to run off.

After school, Ryu and the girl are discussing about ‘Ken’ and that maybe he just had problems adjusting. They said goodbye and Ryu went home. Later at night, his mother told him to buy some soy sauce and asked him to find the girl since she haven’t gone home. He went out and while buying some softdrink, some goons tried to attack him but he managed to evade them. He made a trap by luring the main goon who had an electric rod. Ryu made him hit the bamboo with the rod and slash some of the sauce or water on the guy. He asked where his friend was but the goon doesn’t know and was only after him. Ryu smiled and asked if he knew that water is a good conductor of electricity then had the goon a taste of his own medicine.

He walked to the street and saw ‘Ken’ holding the girl’s scarf so Ryu followed him to where she was. ‘Ken’ freed her and apologized for he was only after Ryu. She slapped him hard for it. hehehe She told Ryu that they should leave but Ryu wanted to know what the heck is ‘Ken’s problem so he wanted to stay. She left on her own. ‘Ken’ showed his left arm again but it was all shadows so it seemed to be a monster arm. He started attacking and kept saying things about the surgery and stuff but Ryu kept on shouting that he had no idea what ‘Ken’ was talking about. ‘Ken’ said that Ryu’s right arm was like his. As Ryu’s right arm reacted, he shouted that his wasn’t like ‘Ken’s. Their fight was interrupted when a huge guy, holding the girl as hostage, came. He exclaimed that he never thought to have managed to find both Ryu and ‘Ken’ at the same place. That’s it for episode one.

AVP - I had cut and paste the angel pics. Mmm...they looked more crappy. ^^;; Anyway, I’ll just enhance them later on because I don’t have time to re-do them. I put some wings on some. I had already used the angel wings of Bellandy that Asher gave me. I would see if I can use the wings on Tooya wallpaper that Unicorn gave me before. If not, I would have to find some in the net or maybe some other pictures of it that I have. I’m only putting colored pictures of wings since it would lessen the work of coloring them and I don’t know how to color wings. ^^;;

I would have to eat what I said. It turned out that those afternoon soaps are not Korean. They are Chinese. ^^; Bad, I cannot distinguish already. Anyway, the first one is Secretly in Love – the girl wanted to be with her crush, a pianist so she goes to study at school. I think she cannot go in and later on, disguised herself as a boy. The girl is rich and she had this guy [I don’t know what his relation to her] who is always with her like a servant-friend. I was thinking that her father looked familiar – in a Chinese movie/tv show, and well, it is Chinese. ^^;; I think one of the guys there is the gay in Poor Prince. He is straight here and minus the buff muscles. They looked a bit the same. ^^;;;

The other one is Love Talks. The girl is going to a interview for a job but left her resume, she asked the guy on another car if she can borrow his cellphone. The traffic is already moving so she took the cellphone with her as she asked her friend [just like in Secretly in Love, don’t know his relationship with her but seem to lived with her] to bring her the resume. She passed with flying colors until the guy came and he turned her down. She was furious and still took the phone with her. ^^; The guy kept on accusing her that she stole it and she was furious that he doesn’t listen to her explanation. Later on, the guy seems to know her father and visited him. When he went there, her friend realized that it was him whom she had a problem with so he gave him a punch in the face. Well, these two soaps looked promising.

Anime – Naruto and Sasuke are still having a hard time with the masked girl with needles. In the end, Sasuke was down since he was trying to protect Naruto, which made Naruto pretty angry that the fox spirit in him was unleashed. In OP, it is in the part where Chopper had decided to join the crew. The Sakura thing by Hiruluk was really pretty. I thought it was just basically making the snow pink but it was making that huge mountain like a trunk as the clouds of smoke as the leaves/flowers so it was like a huge Sakura tree in the island and snow falling are like the petals falling. The Yugioh filler is still boring wherein they are still playing – Ryouji and Shizuka against some enemies.

I had passed the album layout to sis’ fiancé’s friend so I could concentrate on the avp. Brain got tired that I have to rest a bit. I was suppose to go out today but since I would visit Nii tomorrow, I opted not to.

I was watching Meteor Garden rerun and then the part where the lead asked his nanny if he indeed had a cousin, she started telling about the ‘bird’ when he was a kid thus, embarrassing him. I immediately thought if there is a connection with ‘bossy’ or rather main characters to be teased about that. Well, the other two are basically urinating when they are already old enough. One was Kenshin when he was tired and his sensei teased him about it so he would go back to training. The other was Ban when Maria teased him in front of everyone else, since he was being stubborn about not giving up on the training of topping one egg onto another. Anyway, maybe it is just my hyper-imagination or it is a common joke.

On Monday, there will be a lot of new Korean soaps in a local channel to replace the old ones. There will be two in the afternoon. I was thinking hard as to what they had replaced because there is suppose to be only one. Maybe they just made that noontime show shorter. One is about a girl who wanted to be a singer and well, she probably disguised herself to be with him. I don’t know the specifics yet. The other one is just a guy and a girl running to each other in the city with the ‘Come What May’ song. ^^;; Then, the other one is a outspoken girl who caught the eye of what looks like a nerd or well, first class student type of guy. The ending of Bright Girl is of course, the bad guys are exposed of their bad deeds and well, the two main got together and lived in Africa where the girl is stationed. She became a soldier and her uniform really looked too big for her. ^^;; I was wondering about that facial cream that they are selling – it can be eaten. In MVP, it is also a happy ending wherein the basketball player and the girl manager met up with each other because they saw the rich guy’s poster. The love polygon was solved by removing the extras who keep on pushing themselves to an already couple meant for each other. Hehehe

Hehehe...I had finally finished the basic layout and I’m a bit dizzy now. ^^;; Anyway, the jokers [GB] in the last entry, the other one was Amon. He used to be with Shido’s group -- before Shido joined Ginji’s group as one of the Four Kings. Emishi wanted him to join him as a group for his comedian act. His power seemed to be something like Sakurazakamori’s [Seishirou] wherein he reduces his enemies into sakura petals. Nice. This blog said that he absorbs life force and I was thinking maybe, after that, changes them to sakura petals. I would frequent that blog for news on GB.

Everyone’s going ga-ga over the F4 especially on the two who is coming here – Ken and Vanness and the main female lead of Meteor Garden, Barbie Hsu with her kid sister. The girls arrived first today. I saw a clip on tv and it was a secret since everyone said that it was suppose to be last night. They took the long way by going through the building and the employees of the airport crushed them. ^^; So, when the guys came, they immediately got the car near the plane they are on. I guess they learned their lesson. The concert with some local stars would be tomorrow. I’m not a great fan of theirs and I was thinking that maybe, they would just show it on tv anyway. The only Chinese singer’s concert here, which I watched was Jacky Cheung’s. He was at the peak of his career that he held concerts around the world. I like most of his songs before. The new ones are not that nice.

I was watching some MTV Asia which my cable made into a small screen as something to watch for those who are chatting. It is irritating since I cannot see the titles of the songs. There are some nice Korean songs there and I saw that Rich mtv again which I wrote about before. The guy leaving the girl at the wedding to meet with another girl but he got into an accident. There was a different version to it. Instead of the groom leaving, it was the bride who left and she met with the fishmonger. He shyly holds her hand as they stand in the pier as the sunsets – a happy ending.

There will be a new anime next Monday at our local channel. It is Project Arms. Of course, it is shounen. At first, I thought that it was Street Fighter since the art is very the same – buff guys. I had been seeing this title around the net but I haven’t really search for what it was all about. At least, it is something to look forward to or at least check it out.

I’m cleaned the aquariums today which took me the whole morning until late afternoon. I tend to watch tv as I do it. I watched CSI:Miami rerun which was about a pedophile cotton candy seller. Mostly about the news CNN and they are doing a remembrance for the 9/11 tragedy about what people around the world think of the US now and about what happened. Lots sympathizes with what had happened but isn’t quite happy about that Iraq war. SARS seem to be coming back. Also, something about a Microsoft Windows bug which can make it vulnerable in the net. Windows 2000 and up are the ones affected. Mine is just 98. I had upgraded to XP before but, it turned out that my scanner and cd writer won’t work on it, back to 98.

Anyway, today is also sis’ fiancé’s birthday and it is the former dictator’s birthday. He said that before, there is no classes on his day since it was the former dictator [during his reign] birthday. Today is also the Mid-Autumn Festival since the lunar calendar today is 8/15. We used to celebrate it with a family reunion [father’s side] with a dinner party and a dice game with prizes depending on the combination of the six dices. We used to play for free since it was sponsored by my grandmother but now, no more and it is usually played for money these days with friends since it is more practical. Mooncake is usually served during these days. It is a cake-like pastry made of red bean paste with an egg yolk at the center.

Here is what a newspaper article said about the festival. This annual holiday for eating moon cakes and admiring the beauty of the full moon is a poetic, 2,000 year old tradition rich in myths and history, This festival is Zhong-chu jie in Mandarin and Tiong-Chiu Chue in Hokkien and Taiwanese dialects while the Vietnamese call it Ram Trung Thu. There are stories behind it. One is about an ancient Chinese king who was briefly transported to the moon, that when he returned, he hosted this magnificent festival to share his vision of the moon. Another is about the saga of a beautiful woman Chang-E who drank a magical elixir of life and ascended to the heavens where the moon is. The tradition behind giving moon cakes was believed to have inspired a revolution. During the Yuan Dynasty of the Mongols, tradition said that the Chinese people used the festival to spread subversive messages placed inside moon cakes, urging the launching of an uprising against the corrupt and chaotic Mongol dynasty. This festival is also to commemorate the historic victory of revolutionary Zhu Yuan-Zhang, who founded the great Ming Dynasty as Emperor Hongwu. It seemed that this is also celebrated in Vietnam.

Yesterday, I managed to watch this program about animation in Korea. From the samples, Korean animation is really good with 3D though 2D needed a little work. They usually combine the two or focuses more on the 2D. They showed Elyseum[?] which is a sci-fi which isn’t that nice in terms of the characters though the creators said they used 70% of their budget for the characters. I guess it is more on the emotions of the characters. Next is Cubix, which is about robots that reminded me somewhat like transformers but more cute version. They said that it is shown in the US and can compete with Pokemon. There is Aqua Kids, which is again robots with kids. The Robots merge with the kids and in different transformation, they can be different equipments. These two are tv series. Lastly of course, was the animation that I wanted to see, Wonderful Days. It is really very, very beautiful [eye candy] -- especially the cg. It is the first time for them to combine different forms of animation for the film. Cel [2D] animation, 3D animation, stop-motion animation and miniture work for some of the backgrounds. It took 7 years to make with a 10.5 million budget and 500 pentium computers for the process. I didn’t hear if it was won or in US dollars. I think a US company already licensed it. It was thought to be about two and a half bigger than Spirited Away – terms of income. Of course, it was a hit in Korea. I think it was just shown there.

In Korea, they are really into animation. They have an animation film festival from different parts of the world to participate and they also combine games in there. They also have this Seoul Animation Center, which was sponsored by the government so entrance and use of the media/books [not sure if it is manga] there is for free. They have videos there and I saw a mother-son watching Batman there. Using of animation editing would have a fee though. Of course, there are schools in how to make animation. The ones featured specialize in 3D animation. Now, they are the third next to US and Japan in the production of animation in the world.

I was surfing through blogs, trying to find where the Saiyuki Reload summaries are now, when I found some GB scans of really future chapters. Ah, it isn’t in vol. 22 yet – such a long wait. Anyway, in there, Akabane died which made Ginji cried then he lives, which frighten to death Ginji. Lol. Then, the two jokers are teamed up as Emishi kept on dishing jokes with visual illustration. So, cute. ^-^ There is also a merchandise of a sewing kit with Kadzuki and Jubei in it. Hehehe...nice, a combination of needles and string. ^-^

I just read about a Japanese movie called The Returner and from the plot, it really seemed like an anime. Miyomoto [Takeshi Kaneshiro] was looking for the guy who killed off his friend and finally, he tracked him down, was about to shoot him when out of nowhere, a girl fell and got hit. She was from the future and now, she wants Miyomoto to help her stop the start of the invasion of aliens, called Daggra. The special effects helped this movie to be more entertaining and it crosses with a lot of US movies, like Matrix, Independence Day, etc. Of course, it was Kaneshiro who made this really nice to watch – according to the review, “This time around, energetic gunplay and stylized posing charge the action sequences, giving bursts of charismatic octane to Kaneshiro as he dazzles in acrobatic, trench coat wearing form.” Hehehe The poster really looked nice though – here.

I was looking for Yugioh’s Rakuen song and of all places, I found it at a blog. ^^;; Anyway, while I was searching, I found out that the one showing in Cartoon Network is already Yugioh Duel Monsters which was the second anime about the series. The first one wasn’t good. I thought that I had missed something in the first episode because it wasn’t shown how did Yugi got the other persona. It also said that the first season wasn’t that good – not much Kaiba. ^^;; I managed to watch the second and third [on-going] season. Anyway, the voices really need getting use to. Sometimes, it can be quite irritating.

I finished part of my to-do list things yesterday. First, the blog layout – I ended up using the Bleach picture. The colors might not look good/blend because I don’t know how to match those kind of clothes for I don’t wear them. I tried to look at newspapers and on the tv for people who wear those type of clothes but then, it isn’t in style. ^^; Anyway, that’s it. The quote is from a text message, which are usually forwarded. It is the first time I used type in Photoshop so it is just ordinary. I don’t know how to use its effects. Sis’ fiancé’s friend gave the pictures, which he and his brother enhanced. It was really nice. I should be inspired that his brother just self-studied Photoshop and was able to do those stuff that looked, for me, professional and much better than the one done in the studio. I told sis to pass the album layout for them to enhance for they are pretty good with Photoshop.

Second, I finished the GB scans. *happy dance with Ginji* Yes, it is crappy and some dialogue parts are pretty small that I’m not sure if it can be seen. I try to keep them small for faster uploading time. I also think that I translated some parts wrong because it doesn’t make sense. Anyway, the general idea is there. The link is at the projects. Now, I would concentrate on the album layout and the avp.

I had seen an advertisement of a Korean horror movie which is in the charts in Korea. It is something to do about a mirror. It looked good and scary. It seemed that there is another world in the mirror and well, sometimes the reflection have a life on its own. I think there are a lot of Korean horror movies lately. Here, there are some Asian horror movies being shown once in a while ever since Ring had been a hit. I don’t really like horrors though but somehow I’m fond of the stories. ^^;

Games: I saw an ad of Castlevania in PS2. It looked good though doesn’t seem as cool as DMC. The poster really looked good and well, I’m interested in the artist who drew the characters. The designer was saying that they hired someone for the characters and he was holding something like an artbook. They are talking in English – the characters. In a Taiwanese game show, they showed some tips on Silent Hill 3. I’m quite amused that with a certain code, the heroine can be dressed up like a magical girl ala Sailormoon. ^^;; Then, the other one was to have her equipped with a light saber. I do notice that being able to do these alterations to characters are limited only to other games – those that are not RPG. Adventure games can have it like if you finish DMC 2, you will be able to unlock the Diesel outfits for them. I like the original outfits better though. There is a Pirates of the Caribbean game and it looked boring since the player would just ‘pretend’ to be a pirate – talk with people, fight and sail ships. The sailing the ship through the sunset scene was really nice though.

I was watching this Asia type of CNN. The reporter said that it might gross some people out and I didn’t listen. ^^; It was about people, I think from the US, who deliberately halved their tongues so that it would be like a snake’s forked tongue. I didn’t quite get why do they do it but I do remember one saying that it is nicer to kiss with such tongue. I guess it is more into French kisses. Speaking of kisses, I know it is old news about Madonna and Britney Spears kiss in MTV awards. I’m not really surprised with Madonna. I thought it was notching new for the US but when Britney was interviewed about it since people made a fuss about it, I guess it wasn’t. What did she say about it? It was candid and it had been a long time since she had kissed someone. Okay. Well, I used to like her music [first album, I think] but lately, together with her rival Christina, not. It has something to do with the way they wear their clothes and their videos lately. They seemed to be really imitating Madonna whose songs are okay.

News here. Ah, back to the soap, well, the witness of the first gentleman had flip-flopped then the first gentleman’s brother surfaced to say that he is the one whom they are looking for but he doesn’t quite have enough evidence that he was the one whom they are looking for, a certain Jose Pidal who had lots of money in the back without an explanation where it came from. Banks say that it is closed. The one who exposed it doesn’t have complete evidence. The president was angry with her husband for the mess that he was forced to go live somewhere else for a while. And, people think that soaps are exaggerated. Rallies are appearing from time to time – both anti and pro. We had a blackout in our area last Saturday that we thought it was a major blackout, which usually signals that something is happening. They say that it means a take over. Anyway, the economy is affected so the dollar is going up. I’m thinking if it will affect the price of the PS2. Crimes are happening left and right, just today someone was assassinated again. Well, life goes on. The election is near, if it pushes through so many more stuff can happen. Sigh, if only I was this interested in what’s happening before, I would have a higher grade in current events during High school.

This is just in - checking all that net stuff that I forgot to watch Scrapped Princess. ^^;;;

I went out with Asher today – chatting and eating at the Podium mall. Few people go to this mall because the shops here are usually for the high end and there are few shops here. I saw my brother’s friend at the resto where we ate. He doesn’t recognize me anymore and I had to ask sis if I recall his name right, Bengali[?] the one who looked like a mouse. ^^;; He reminds me one. I also saw a high school batchmate. Asher did say I somewhat greeted him with my ‘hi’ face but I didn’t get a reaction. Asher was looking back from him. It was only when I was telling sis about it that either he doesn’t remember me or he was snubbing me for he was too busy with his girlfriend. ^^;; I showed Asher the how-to-manga books I had bought before and I gave her stuff back to her. Thanks by the way, I forgot. ^^;; I bought a set of colored pencil at the bookstore.

After we separated ways [being fetched by our respective ‘fetchers’], we [sis and her fiancé] went to a wedding expo. The plan was to spy into the albums layout so that I would have an idea if I’m doing the right thing. I have to pretend to be a soon-to-be-wed. ^^;; Good thing they aren’t strict. We browse through the albums and I am on track with what I’m doing. It is more focus on the pictures and they are usually huge while the background isn’t that emphasized. My father helped me with a bit of the layout. I have a bit of problem with some pictures of a certain scene, which are sometimes a horizontal and a vertical. I try to lay them out without it looking quite awkward. I have to re-do some pictures, which looked as if it was stretched. I’m focusing on the layout first before the background since it is easy to just put a layer of background underneath.

Then, we went to sis’ fiancé’s house to eat dinner, played a bit of MAD [sis won] and watched Bruce Almighty dvd. I’m not sure if this was the film that was banned in Malaysia or Indonesia because of the main character playing ‘God’. Well, it was okay and predictable. Maybe, I should have picked to watch X-men2. ^^;; Anyway, I borrowed it so that I would watch when I have time for it at home.

Hehehe...making the album layout seemed to be harder than I thought. Well, basically what background and how it was laid out. I had finished about 5 of them, which are basically improving the ones, which are okay. My mom wanted me to finish this within this week. ^^;; I don’t think I can finish it by then though. I have inked the angel drawings for the avp. I tried scanning them while they are still in pencil – it was too light, I guess since I am a light drawer/the stokes are too light. I am not sure how to alter the saturation, hue, etc to make it darker so might as well ink it. I had already scanned it. The album layout takes priority from the way they are hurrying me. ^^; I might not be able to post as frequently as before after I finish this.

I already got my digicam but I don’t have time to play with it yet. I should really finish that avp already. Sis told me that I should get the PS2 by December after the avp but then, her fiancé told me, just finish it then we’ll buy. I managed to say that he can pay the unit and well, I’ll just buy the other accessories needed plus the games. Anyway, I won’t be the finisher for this anyway. I just need to do the animated part and his friend would do the details to make it nicer. The friend’s brother seemed to know flash.

Ya, every time I draw some and I figured something else to do like, I would need to draw this and that. Sigh, I really need to take it easy. I should also test if I could scan from the tracing paper that I don’t have to copy it to another paper. I would have to color it, too. Mm..when I think of it, it seemed so easy.

Ban: Ya, and then, you can do our scanlation and summaries.

On to a different topic, Lavender had ended last week and well, I got confused with the ending though basically, the girl is dead and the singer ended it all by singing a song for her and well, flashbacks. I just glimpsed once in a while. Sometimes, it is hard to dislike the other guy who loves the girl who isn’t as much as a jerk as the lead. I guess I tend to think it would depend on the charisma in the end since as I mentioned before, I don’t have a consistent fave characters in terms of their characters. For example, I tend to hate perverts but what it is with Ban, also the ‘stupid’ sidekick, but in this one, I like Ginji. I tend to like the silent type and don’t act like a fool but I don’t like Hotohori. Basically, like that, it just depends on how the character came on, I guess.

The other guy in Love Letter was also good as well as Endless Love. Endless love is a Korean drama, which would be shown locally. Like Lavender, it ended tragically but at least, the guy went with the girl. Hehehe Anyway, I finished watching this since I don’t know how it ended but it is a bit confusing at first. Siblings fall for each other but it was a good thing that it turned out that they had been switched so only after when they are teens when they are sent back to their own families. The guy had a fiancée and the girl had a lover. To solve the problem, kill the girl and let the guy follow. The end. There are some nice scenes here especially when the lovers are together just like in Love Letter.

Speaking of Korean drama, my mother is watching a new one but this seemed to be more on adults. The guy is beating the wife and just when she is going to have a divorce, the guy had amnesia so the wife delayed the divorce until well, the guy went back to his old habit of beating her. Their daughter cannot do anything but watch her mother being beaten. They are back to the divorce courts. It was already in the fifth episode and I was thinking, maybe the daughter would be the main character here and make a love story for her who is traumatized with love and the works. But I’m just guessing. ^-^

Our country always have something to talk about. These days, a certain senator who was being tried for drugs and rubout during his police days is accusing the first Gentleman this and that. The first Gentleman is in defensive mode. The prime witness had flip-flop from one camp to another. It is the talk of the town for now.

In Scrapped Princess, Pacifica saw her father who was afraid of her. He seemed to be some weakling whose adviser was doing everything for him. Then, they had Shannon see Pacifica. A soldier was about to kill Pacifica and a blond woman came out. She was with the girl stalking Shannon as well as a certain guy who reminded me of gambit before. The three wanted to destroy the kingdom and it seemed that they were all tricked by them. The adviser told the soldiers that it was all Pacifica’s fault so they wanted to kill her. Shannon defended her and had a little speech that made Pacifica remember him. The soldiers were able to get her away and the blond woman joined the guy in wrecking things as this big thingie ala Rahxephon. In the end, Shannon agreed to defend that Zefiris was happy and gave him a kiss on the head. He transform into a black dragon as there are others with Zefiris came as his back-up. The stalker joined the other two. It ended with them facing off as Pacifica was calling out to her brother while she was held in a room. Raquelle and others are going to the center to save Pacifica and they saw Shannon’s dragon. Preview – More fighting and Pacifica was freed by Chris, I think. Last scene was Shannon holding his sword at Pacifica.

I’m back since I had net time again. ^-^ The blog pic still looked crappy so I have to re-do it. I used up the whole afternoon doing it and it still looked bad. ^^; I just uploaded the new gif of Ginji. The guy in the hat is Akabane. The hospital part is a part of the scanlation I’m doing. I managed to finish the delicious summaries. ^-^ I really need to get back to doing the avp. The homework, which we are doing are not going to be passed anymore since the teacher had a change of heart. Good thing we didn’t finish it yet.

I registered last Friday and since the elections is going to be computerized, they need to re-new the registration list so I got my picture, thumb and index finger prints and signature through the computer. Groan, I dread the picture since the red thingies on forehead haven’t healed yet and my parents weren’t able to see it. I guess I would get the surprise whenever I get that id. I almost forgot how I sign my name. ^^;;

I’m already tired from doing the blog pic which didn’t turn out good anyway. Sigh. This is it for now.

I did that during the weekend and it is still not finish. I’m sure my parents are a bit irritated that I kept asking what the words meant. That is why I don’t like doing translations for I have to be detailed. I can get away with it if I’m doing summaries. Hehehe I even have to confirm that I’m not doing the whole volume – just a few pages. ^^;

I went with sis to the bookstore which had a sale. I didn’t bought much but it is more than my expected budget. ^^;

Hehehe...I fought with the urge to buy some art materials. ^^; Let’s see, I bought a cookbook, a novel on Japanese occupation of Nanking, a text quotation book, some tracing paper, a small notebook with Tare Panda [basis of chibi Ginji = tare Ginji] cover and a ribbon which sis would use to make a bow for the things she will bring to her fiancé’s house one week before the wedding.

In OP anime rerun, Nami arc had finished. It is one of my favorite arcs. In the non-rerun, it is just a boring pre-battle scene with Wapol. In Scrapped Princess, Pacifica was caught and jailed. She talked with her jail mate who was her mother, I think since she called her Okasan and well, they looked similar. The ‘mother’ was really happy to hear from her and to have touched her. She looked exhausted and spent most of the time lying down that Pacifica wasn’t able to see her. Then, the ‘mother’ said sorry before it was total silence. I don’t know if she died or just passed out. Leo and Winia were helpless because they weren’t able to help Pacifica and they had informed Raquelle what had happened. Shannon was at a bar with the girl stalker and I think he heard from the soldiers that Pacifica was captured. A head soldier wanted to talk to him and later on, he talked with the upper guy about something and Shannon didn’t look too happy. Chris and his group seemed to have some problems and two people [gambit guy and blond girl] was observing everything – they had the same ‘angel-like huge creature ala Rahxephon’ as Shannon had. In the preview, Pacifica met with the king and those creatures are fighting each other in the town.

Yawn, I still cannot snap out of this sleepy mode. I managed to get out of the homework when I bargained with sis that I’m going to help her with the engagement layout if she does the homework. Basically, she is doing it anyway since I have no idea how to answer the marketing questions. ^^;; The supposedly improve engagement layout had came back and well, nothing was changed except the colors improved and no more names all around the place. That took about a month and we were informed it was finished only when my mom asked about it. Maybe they are busy. ^^; My sis doesn’t want to had something printed which she didn’t want in the first place since it would be just a waste of money. So, I’ll try to make the layout of what sis had already told them twice on how she wanted it to look like.

Hahaha...and it works. I had used the limited bracket thingie of my other internet account and yup, it won’t let anyone go beyond that limit. But that also meant...

Hehehe..ya. I have to reply online with the other internet account so if you notice Unicorn, the last reply was short and well, tell me if you got it. Sigh of relief, the GB informant had answered back. I really thought I had scared her away. I would start on the summaries on September since I’m going to finish my delicious summaries this week. Sis used the scanner last night and I also scanned the seven pages of GB that I’m going to scanlate. It would not be as big as the ones out there though but I’m going to try and make them readable. It would be too big if I didn’t re-size them and I’m not going to zip them. Mm..maybe a scan per page rather than all of them in a single page. The other internet account is also bordering the time limit so I have to conserve net time within this week.

Hehehe...I’m still drawing poses for the angel. I just thought that the officiating pastor for sis’ wedding might be in the party. I don’t think the short skit would be that offending but then, I made the angel’s dress longer than well, just at the mid-thigh. I’m looking through my anime/manga pics to look for a pattern for a dress shape.

Oh ya, the tricops are alive well, two of them since the others didn’t hatch. Thank God and last weekend, I called my neighbors to see it just in case, it won’t live long. I just want to make sure that they see it for their money’s worth. The kids did notice that a guppy got stuck in a filter that I have to get it out and it did it again yesterday but it manage to get out on its own, and well, one of my old discus had died. When discus die, it is usually a scary sight. It looked as if it had died a long time ago..okay, it looked like fried fish. Maybe that is why I am not fond of whole fried fish that I cannot bare to eat it. ^^;; Anyway, I’m improving with discus. The third batch looked healthier and larger than the previous two batches.

I would depart with some of my money within this week as I get one of my ‘wants’ and coincidentally, it is the first one on the list. ^^; I guess my mom is just too tired of listening to me talking about it for some time already. I will pay half the price and my uncle, coincidentally again, had it in stock. He said it is a good beginner model and the upper notch to it is quite expensive. It is basically twice the price for it is a professional-consumer kind. Mmm...the second on the ‘wants’ is going to be bought later this year, too. This is one of those expensive years I guess. ^^;;

I was planning to stay home yesterday but I somewhat had the urge to go out so I went out in the afternoon after sis met with her prospective strings for the wedding. We went to Powerplant mall. I was with my mom while sis and her fiancé went to another prospective photographer. Fiancé’s dad wants to two photographers. We ate at a Korean restaurant. Mom had somewhat like a bento box-type meal while I just ate a bit from her and some fried dumplings. Korean food was okay though I did assume it was supposed to be spicier or this wasn’t authentic. ^^; It is all mild tasting. The special mention is the round omelet and the soup. The dumpling tasted like gyoza. ^^;;

I went to PageOne bookstore to buy that volume 4 on battle moves. It was the last copy and no other bookstores had it. I was a bit disappointed that there are no sword holding poses but punching poses would be okay, I guess. Maybe I can use some walking poses. Anyway, I also bought a bit of coloring pages. I did miss the ones that my father used to give me – the coloring book, which had really nice pictures and they are missing now. ^^; I was really impressed with myself when I colored that peacock before. Books here are really expensive and well, they are the ones who had it. ^^;; Mom saw her friend there. Too bad we already paid or else, he would pay it with his 10% discount card. I’m pretty amused that he mentioned that he is in that bookstore every week and had spent about 10t pesos [about 180 dollars] there. Outside the bookstore, a young actor [J.R. who is in a soap] is reading a book to children. Hehehe...there are some grown-ups there most probably a fan of the actor.

After walking around, they picked us up and went to another mall since sis wanted to look at some things there. I didn’t get to buy to buy anything here though when we saw a kitchen showroom. I just imagine what kind of kitchen layout I would want to have. ^-^ I browsed over the prices of some digital cameras and PS2. PS2 is really a bit cheaper lately. I did found a magazine cover, which had fall games for PS2. It was in plastic so I wasn’t able to take a peek inside it. Because of the cover, I really want to see/play Castlevania: Lament of Innocence for the PS2. The pic of the box is here. It isn’t the same as the one I saw but he does have the looks. ^-^ Hopefully, I won’t get killed as quickly as the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on PS1 which is very hard that when I got to the first big boss, most of my life was all drained/used up and never got pass him. ^^;;

Well, maybe there are just some moves that I should know how to do. ^^;; Anyway, I still like that game because it was way cool even if he is in 2D, Alucard [white long hair with cool outfit] moves quite fast. Anyway, it is somewhat like Devil May Cry – gothic environment. The basic stories of Castlevania are about Dracula and the Belmont Clan. We ate at a Japanese restaurant, which was into buffet lately and sad to say, the food isn’t as good as before. I guess that what happens when they go to mass-producing of food, the quality deteriorates. Then, we went home.

Avp – I have to re-do the one I did. Baka, I should have trace when there is good light and not in the dark. ^^; By the way, I’m using the profiles of the main character in Gokinjo World by Ai Yazawa who also wrote Paradise Kiss and Nana. I got to know that because I tried to search for more pictures but they are all in the artbook already. The artbook was a gift from ego uncle way, way before when he doesn’t annoy me as much as now. It was one of those buy-me-this-manga but it turned out to be me something different since no picture of covers and titles. I came to like this artbook and I’m already wrecking it as I try to trace.

I’m still a bit sleepy…these days. ^^; Let’s see, last Thursday, I moved some fishes again. It is because my brother’s fishes kept on quarrelling and I think it is because they are growing big already from their tank so I have to move them. I was quite surprised to have designed a pretty nice tank using the same basic concept of my brother’s design. It was just a coral mountain on the right with some anubis plant and mostly, rocks on the left for them to hide. I did think I made some of it too tight that they cannot hide inside. ^^; Anyway, it was arranging it without a light for I don’t want to be electrocuted. When I did turn on the light, I was amused that it looked really nice. Dang, where’s the camera...or rather, I do have an ordinary camera but I don’t know how to take a picture of an aquarium with the flash, it will reflect from the glass and without flash, it is too dark. ^^; I was thinking maybe a digital camera would do since at least, I’m not wasting film while experimenting.

Now, brother’s fishes are too busy hiding and coming out to fight each other. ^^;; The flowerhorn is not at brother’s fishes’ former home. I noticed he had a huge belly last night but good thing, it is gone now. That fish is quite aggressive since it fight with the other flowerhorn which is now badly wounded and infected with fungus + finrot. Since cichlids usually had a strong will to live, it is still alive and I’m nursing it back to normal health – separate from the other one, of course. I hope it will survive. The tricops, hehehe, okay, they just won’t hatch so I just wasted my neighbor’s money. @_@;;

AVP- I did a bit of the thank you scene and sis doesn’t seem to like the confetti very much. ^^;; Oh well, for now, that is what I can do and it wasn’t entirely bad, she says. I did a bit of tracing and some stuff for the angel. I cannot believe that I forgot how to draw side view again. It has been a long time since I had drawn. Oh ya, I was tracing since I don’t have the time to draw everything from scratch. One pose down and many others to do. Sigh, I have to color these drawings, too. I really do hope I can do the things I plan for this though maybe not as detailed anymore.

I went to Muraki today and so far, all of the wounds are okay and are of granular tissue = forms keloids. I got quite scared since the one on the right shin was acting up but it was just like the others. Just clean them and put an antibiotic cream. Nothing much can be done for it. I also learned that my left thumb which was bothering me lately especially at night is because of a weak tendon so I have to soak them in warm water at night. I think my whole body is breaking down, maybe because I’m living on ‘extended’ live span. Hehehe I also visited a Chinese doctor for some herbal medicine, which would hopefully, strengthen me a bit. He basically said my major organs – heart and stomach are in bad health and my immune system is pretty weak. I cannot do something about that immune system since my kidney meds are making it weak so that the kidney won’t reject. I’m actually one of those kidney transplants who stay thin while the others have a tendency to grow fat. I guess it comes from being a picky eater.

I visited the comic store and told the saleslady to sell the Basara set even if it is individual but so far, no one wants to buy it. ^^;; I think if it is at a set, it would be harder to sell. I was glancing over my manga collection and well, so far, I still cannot part with the ones I already have. Hehehe. I went to the cross-stitch stores, trying to find that kimono wearing design that I saw before. I did found it. One is two girls one standing while the other sitting. My mom liked the other one wherein there are four girls standing so we bought that one. That will add to the other designs that I have being stored somewhere in the house. ^^; The owner asked if I would want to buy the cloth. My mom told her that we would do when I start on it so that it won’t be a waste of money since I might not work on it. That was a bit embarrassing but the owner said that she was like that, too. Hehehe I did know how to make the ‘effect’ to make it a bit shiny, which I didn’t know before – adding a colored thread with the other threads. Ah, I think I forgot the basic on it and when I first made some, I didn’t know that one shouldn’t make a knot at the back and only at the same direction of the thread to make it look nicer. ^^;

The other day, I had a wild idea of scanlating a part of GB – the Ginji went to the hospital. Hehehe There are many characters in that chapter since they are visiting Ginji and there are of course, lots of chibi Ginji. Let’s just see. I plan to finish Delicious sums before doing any GB related stuff.
