About this blog:
I usually write about the manga that I'm currently reading. At times, I write about the anime I watched. Since it is hard to share and talk my thoughts about a certain manga series when people don't know about it, I tend to summarize them from Chinese scanlations so beware, this blog is filled with spoilers and they are not 100% perfect. Feel free to point out my mistakes. ^^ Occasionally, I would blog about myself and other misc. things.

[I was supposed to finish this until chapter 90 but manga dump has begun so I cut it short. No comments since there isn’t much to say except the usual, the author is really giving me hope for Kento x Mei ^^; And, it seems like the author is indeed going to match Mei’s fiances with her friends. =P I’m amused that this series is going to be made into a takarazuka opera ^^ I’m curious what it will be like. By the way, from the official page, it is confirmed, Koibana! Koiseyo Hanabi is ending. The last chapter will be on September 18 issue of Margaret. Speaking of Margaret, in the recent issue, based on the picture, the side story of Stardust★Wink will indeed be about Hinata. I really hope that the Chinese scanlators will do that side story, too. Anyway, Reimei no Arcana 19 and Bokutachi wa Shitte Shimatta 41 are already uploaded in BW so I’ll summarize those first. Anyway, on to the summary:]
When Fujiko is about to tell her about talking with Mei, she notices that Miruku is no longer sitting in the chair. Miruku went back to the room and asks where Kiba is. Nezu told her that he went to tend to the plants. Miruku thought that is very convenient. She happily went to the field with thoughts of researching this entity called ‘green thumb’. At the flower field, Kiba is called out by Miruku. Kiba sweatdropped upon seeing a lot of video cameras that are filming him. He asked if there is any problem. Miruku exclaimed that there is none and he should just be like that, continue on his work. He asked about the cameras but she told her to not mind them. He then went to her and told her that there is a rip on her skirt. He took out his sewing kit and mended it. To Kiba’s horror, Miruku commented that he is like a mother. Kiba cried that he would at least want it to be father, not mother. Miruku apologized and said that it is because she never saw her parents so she wasn’t sure. Kiba looked surprised and said that he heard that her mother works in Switzerland. Miruku said that is true and she calls once every three days but she never saw the actual person, not even once, so her mother hadn’t mend her clothes like what he did just now. When she is telling him that Daimon would also do that, she noticed that Kiba is smiling at her. He told her about a hole where there is a wild rabbit. Miruku is thrilled to hear since she wanted to see one. Narration: “In the end..a butler doesn’t do anything much..just be remain committed and lean on the ojou-sama’s own capability. A butler believes only this, with one heart and one thought, only believing in this..” While walking back to the school, Kiba said that they walked a lot so she ought to be tired. Miruku said that she had fun and she isn’t tired. When she is saying that they will all go [and do something] when Mei returns, she noticed that Kiba stopped walking. Kiba said that it is strange for the school is too quiet. Then, they see a heavily military geared man by the forest who had disturbed a crow/raven. Kiba quickly carried her and ran off to escape. Miruku exclaimed in disbelief that Kiba can actually carry an ojousama. Kiba shouted back that it is because he is a butler.
The military geared guy informed the others about Miruku and Kiba. He gave directions on where they are spotted and told the others to chase after them. Miruku exclaimed who those people are and where are Fujiko and Nezu..also the rest. Kiba said that they could be terrorists. He planned to bring her to a shelter in the basement of the sun building that Izumi made. In front of a huge door, Kiba shouts who he is. After his identity is verified, the door opened. It turns out to be some control room wherein one can see what is happening within the school through cameras. Kiba said that he thought that Miruku would be able to use the control center there. Miruku declared that of course she can, since who else could have established the system. From the monitors, they notice that Fujiko is caught with the rest of the ojousama-s in the moon building’s holding area while the butlers are in the star building’s holding area. Miruku thought that the ojousama-s were captured first and made hostages in order to subdue the butlers. She tried to contact outside quickly but to her surprise, she encountered an error. She wondered who could have changed it then she suspected that it is that nerdy guy, Damien. She noticed on the monitor that some of the terrorists are heading their way. She shouted for Kiba to quickly to come to her for she is closing the door. To her surprise, shaking Kiba with a big stick insisted on protecting the room to the death by guarding the door. Miruku insisted that he get in for this is also a way of evading them. It turns out that Miruku couldn’t close the door because Kiba, the hindrance, is standing at the door. Soon, the terrorists came and subdued Kiba. ^^; End flashback. Tied up Miruku can only smile and sheepishly think that it is thoroughly amazing..unbelievable. Tied up Kiba asks Izumi to save them through the videophone on the laptop computer. Miruku is surprised when Kiba exclaimed that it doesn’t matter what happens to him but they must do whatever they can to save Miruku. The connection is then cut off. Izumi can only shout Kiba’s name.
One of the terrorists takes the laptop computer and says that they already said a lot. Kiba apologizes to Miruku. With a cheerful face, Miruku tells him that this isn’t the time to cry for Izumi, Daimon and the others will come and save them so they just have to do the best they can regarding the things that they can do. Miruku tells the terrorists that even if she doesn’t know their goal but their timing is all wrong because their school’s most valuable ojousama-s are out of the country. Someone comes in and says that it is alright for they are hostages to be used to trade with the ojousama-s who are outside. Miruku looks surprised and mutters, “You..you are..” Back in Arabia country, Izumi tells everyone that the school had been taken over. She couldn’t contact Sister Rose nor Fujiko, and she can only verify that the hostage takers got Miruku and Kiba. Izumi apologizes to Daimon and says that if she knew that this will happen, she would have Miruku come with them. Daimon is quiet. Kento is surprised when he starts walking away. Kento asks where he is going. Daimon says that he is going to the academy to save Miruku. Kento calls out for him to wait. Rihito stops Daimon at the door. He asks what Daimon plans to do upon arriving there. Daimon tells him to move. Kento tries to calm Daimon down. Kanzaki tells Daimon that if he returns now, he will just be walking into a trap. Tami calls him stupid. Daimon is frustrated as to what he ought to do. Mei tells them that there is nothing they can do if they stay in that place. “Do you want to go to Hongo’s residence?!” Rihito thinks that it is a good idea while Kento is shock that they are going there. Later on, Irrfan [formerly Irufan, Arabian prince] is shock that everyone went home without even saying anything to him. Someone says that it seems that there was an emergency but they can quickly prepare and give chase. Irrfan tells them to forget it since he had lost that duel. Irrfan says that it is regretful that he wasn’t able to show them to Mei. Behind Irrfan, his two [traitor] butlers kneeling before him. Zaki asks Irrfan why they are working as his butlers again. Irrfan says that they, as butlers, betrayed him and they owe him, as the master, a lot. He thinks that he wants to be like Mei, a person who protects by not demanding the life of a butler, but rather make him compensate it throughout his life. The butlers were touched when Irrfan says that in that whole country, aside from them, there are no one else who suits to stand beside beautiful him. He then looks at a box with a huge diamond ring. There is a note: ‘To Rika’ inside. He closes the box and tells the butlers to let Mei go for he have a feeling that they’ll meet again soon.
In Japan, at Hongo residence, Mei happily greets Maria, the brothers’ mother. Maria hugs her tightly and says that it’s good that she is alright. Puzzled Kento points at himself and asks that shouldn’t she be doing that to her own children, after all, she hasn’t seen him for four years. There is a note pointing to the brothers that the two almost died multiple times. Rihito asks Kento, wasn’t that their mother’s style. Kento stutters as he says is that so. They are speechless when Maria just coldly tells them, ‘Good work’. Mei tries to tell Maria something but Maria tells her that she already knows about it all. Izumi, together with everyone else, apologizes for the intrusion. [<- being polite] Maria, along with her maids, welcomes everyone to the mansion and tells them to properly rest [<- make yourself at home]. One of the maids tells them that they will take care of their luggages. Leon [formerly Ryan, Claris/Kraus’ butler] muses that aside from butlers, the Hongo has a lot of maids. He comments about Maria being the Shibata brothers’ mother. Claris comments that she is totally different from her mother. Leon laughs as Claris tells him not to laugh. Mei asks Maria where her grandfather is. She tells him that he is recuperating at a hot spring together with her husband [the brothers’ father]. Mei is surprised by this. Maria tells her until the last day, he plans to do whatever he wants [<- I think]. She asks Mei if there is anything she wants for her to tell her grandfather. After a pause, Mei says that there is no need and this is okay for she doesn’t want her grandfather to worry too much. She tells Maria that after everyone has rested, everyone is to congregate at the peach reception hall where they will discuss matters. Kento happily muses out loud that Mei has become very capable. Rihito just keeps silent. At the peach reception hall, Mei blankly asks what they should do now. Kento sweatdrops and exclaims that it turns out that she has no plan. Rihito thinks that it is as he suspected. He asks Izumi if she was able to contact with Kiba or the spokesman from the terrorists. Mei starts to wonder out loud as to who could have messed up with the system that Miruku made which enabled those people to trespass into the school. Rihito says that there is a possibility that it is an inside job. While Mei is muttering ‘inside job’, Kento stands closer to her and exclaims if it is someone who is related to the school. Mei suddenly blushes and sweatdrops as she reprimands Kento, “Ah, stupid, you’re too close!” Kento is puzzled while Rihito looks somewhat surprised as he looks at them.
Everyone is surprised when Izumi suddenly shouts that Kiba emailed back. It turns out to be from the one who took over the school. That person challenges them to a duel. Aoyama comments that confirms that the person is related to the school. The duel is they will win by subduing them [terrorists] and, rescuing Miruku and Kiba within 24 hours but if they lose, they are to grant a request. The condition is that those who will save them should only be the ojousama-s. They cannot guarantee the safety of the hostages if they discover that the butlers are with them. Kento protests over that condition. Daimon thinks that it is unfair. Claris finds it strange since they already have the hostages yet why do they have to do this special duel. Rika says that the culprit is one of Mei’s fiance since this method is pretty much like what that stupid prince [Irrfan] did and there is only one person who can mess up Miruku’s system. Mei immediately suspects it to be Damien. Kento says but Damien doesn’t give him the impression of someone who’ll do something of this magnitude. Izumi says that according to rumors, he is raw genius and he along with Miruku had wrote a computer virus that has almost paralyzed a country. [That is during Claris’ arc; hehe, it is such a long time that I don’t remember if I mentioned it before. It is in chapter 57]. Daimon thinks that Damien is hiding something. While Mei is wonder what it is, Kento holds Mei’s shoulder and tells her that speaking of that, that guy Damien was telling him something about the white butler. Rihito and the other butlers are surprised when Mei suddenly shouts, “Stupid!” then slaps Kento hard. Kento is stunned by that as he sweatdrops and asks, “What?” Shaking yet not looking at Kento, Mei points at him and shouts, “Shibata, you’re fired..!” [ired..ired..ired..hehe, wanted to do that echo thing here =P ] Claris shouts if she is serious. Izumi mutters about Mei doing that when they have an emergency. Rika says that Mei is really a girl who cannot be understood. While Kento is still petrified, Rihito tells him that even if it is just a short period of time but good job. “I will be taking your [butler] badge for safekeeping because you are NO longer a BUTLER.” Rihito takes off Kento’s badge and tosses him out of the room. Rihito tells Mei that he has already took Kento out of the room. Mei didn’t reply. He calls out to her again. Mei turns around to show her blushing really red face. She shouts her thanks to him. Rihito quietly looks at her then turns around to say, “You’re welcome.” Mei wonders if Rihito is angry. After thinking a long time, Mei blames it all on Kento. [Ah, Kento, I don’t know if I ought to be happy for you or to pity you ^^;] Lying flat on the floor, wide-eyed Kento thinks that he was slapped, thrown out of the room and fired by Mei. He remembers Rihito smiling to say that he is no longer a butler. Kento sits up and mutters, “..no..longer..a butler..not a butler..anymore?”
Then, there is another email which says, “Start”. Flashing a v-sign, Tami exclaims that preparation is done. They remembered that Tami is considered an ‘ojousama’. Izumi and Claris want to go, too. Mei also wants to go. She asks Rika if she is going. Rika angrily exclaims why she has to go. Aoyama butts in by saying that of course, Rika isn’t going for she won’t, absolutely won’t do. [<- useless] This made Rika declare that she will be going after hitting Aoyama’s head. ^^; Izumi and Claris sweatdrops for they are really worried about those two [Mei and Rika]. Mei tells Rihito that she wants to help everyone so can she go. Rihito says that even if he prevents her, she’ll still go. Mei happily says yes. Gesturing at the side, Rihito tells her to bring ‘that’ along and it should be made as some sort of shield. Mei goes into shock upon seeing ojousama Kenko [female name of Kento] in a female uniform and, of course, complete with school bag. Kento declares, “It’s because I’m no longer a butler!” [<- Rihito gave him a hint earlier =P] As usual, Daimon is smitten by Kento. ^^; Kento does the wink pose and shouts, “Leave it to me!” Mei punches him away and exclaims what the heck he is doing for didn’t she fired him already. Kento answers back that he is now an ojousama and not a butler. Mei argues that what Kento is doing doesn’t have any significance. To her surprise, Claris and Rika that no matter how much, shields aren’t enough and Mei doesn’t know about the danger that awaits them so shields are very important. Izumi agrees with them for Kento’s fighting skills would be a great help to them. She reminds Mei that this is a duel that they should absolutely not lose. Claris is all excited as she goes with Leon to prepare. Rika tells Aoyama to shut up as he tries to dissuade her from going. Izumi tells disappointed Daimon that she can prepare things herself. Rihito tells Mei that they should go prepare, too. Kento can only look sad as he watches the two leave. Kanzaki then tells Kento and Tami about the battle plan and they should execute it perfectly. Daimon tells Kento that he’ll leave Miruku up to him. Kento smiles and tells him to relax [he’ll take care of it]. In her room, Rihito tells Mei that she is going to wear her uniform because they talked about it and decided that it is best to blend in with the other students though they will be wearing long stockings in order to protect their legs but regretfully, after thinking this and that, the long stockings can also be used to attract the enemy. Mei doesn’t quite understand what he meant but assumes that the stockings are a hassle in the battle. While Rihito is dressing her up, Mei calls out to him and asks if he is angry because she fired Kento. Rihito looks sideways then denies it. Mei exclaims that he’s lying for he is angry. She thinks that he definitely is but she doesn’t know the reason why. After a pause, Rihito says that if she feels that he looks unhappy, it is definitely that Mei considers [/give thoughts to] him too much. Mei looks surprised. He tells her to please do things according to her own thoughts then leave the rest to the butlers. He also tells her to be like she usually is, wherein she’ll choose the ‘most important’ route and go towards it without hesitation. “Right now is a very important thing..so the Mei-chan who does her ultimate best [as if her life depended on it], I consider that as the best..way to make one love [/be fond of you].”
Mei looks at him in surprise. She blushes and exclaims what did he just said. After a pause, Rihito says, “......make one love..” While her heart is beating fast, Mei apologizes for the trouble but can he please say that one more time but louder this time. Rihito turns around and says that he won’t say it that many times. Mei sweatdrops and pouts over it. While Rihito is looking thoughtful, Mei calls out to him. Holding out her hand, Mei asks him to at least shake her hand. Rihito seems puzzled as Mei nods that she does want to shake hands. Blushing, Mei says what if this is their last farewell. Mei thinks that she actually wants a hug but then, Rihito won’t do that. Mei is delighted when Rihito holds out his hand to shake her hand. Rihito is surprised when she holds her hand tightly. She thinks that it is as she thought, his hand is very cold just like what her mother said before that if the hand is cold, their hearts are burning/passionate. Holding his hand with both hands near her face, Mei thinks, “Yes, it is indeed like that, mama..” Rihito blushes a bit while looking at her. He drops the clothes he is holding and gives her a hug. This surprises Mei and made her blush. Rihito pulls away and wishes her a triumphant return. Mei smiles and says, “Yes!” The tactic seems to be to play hide and seek then retreat if found so that they won’t be caught. It is enough for them to just keep on escaping until they find Miruku. In order for them not to be noticed, they will be using ‘Stealth helicopter Mei3’ and for the rest of what to do, just listen to Kento’s instructions. The ojousama-s prepare to board the helicopter. Rika muses out loud that she is at ease wearing their uniform. Mei teases embarrassed Claris that she suits wearing a skirt. Kento and Tami are already waiting by the helicopter. Kento asks Mei if they are already prepared. Mei says that they are. The butlers look up as the helicopter left. They wish for the girls’ success. Daimon wonders if it is really okay. Daimon is surprised when Rihito asks if he actually planned to depend everything on the ojousama-s. Rihito says that they should show that they are worthy of the salaries given to them. Kanzaki says that he is worried about the enemy’s ‘condition’. He wonders what that person’s request could be, after winning this duel. Aoyama and Leon share the same sentiments. Rihito just looks serious and quiet. At the sun building, someone asks if there is anything that ought to be prepared. Miruku is surrounded by dolls and on the table, are a lot of food and desserts. Kiba who is standing nearby says that there is nothing else. Looking at the other ojousama-s on the tables and it seems food are also served to them, Miruku says that compared to what they thought, the others are alright and if they weren’t, she won’t forgive these terrorists. The man answers that he got the nuns to prepare the food and rooms for rest though he will only give the butlers some water to drink since they have more physical strength though Kiba is more than welcome to eat if he wants to. [Because he’s a weakling =P It seems that Kiba is the only butler there.] Kiba is puzzled as to why but Miruku agrees with that suggestion. Kiba wonders out loud as to why Tou-san [Toujou Shinnosuke (real name), the manager of the idol, Kashiwagi Kei] would do this kind of thing and Kiba finds it really unbelievable.
At St. Lucia Academy’s star building’s men’s room, Nezu wakes up from his sleep in the toilet. He goes into shock that it is already 7pm and the bell had already rang while he is sleeping soundly. There is a note that seems to be saying that lately Nezu is scolded the girls for smoking outside so he is doing this secretly in the toilet. He then hears someone exclaiming that he has finally found it. After the terrorist relieves himself, he goes out and complains out loud that since it is an all girls school, there are few men’s room. He sweatdrops upon seeing Nezu who tells that he is right. Nezu promptly beats him up then wonders what’s going on. At the star building, the terrorists warn the tied up butlers not to try anything suspicious else they won’t guarantee the ojousama-s’ safety. Xiao Qing [Chinese butler] comments that Damien is too easy-going since he is sound asleep. His butler apologizes. The terrorist then calls out the two exchange students to go to the next room to eat dinner. Xiao Qing tells Yang Xue [his master] to go on ahead. Yang Xue hesitantly takes Damien’s hand and tells him that they are going. Damien wakes up upon hearing that it is time to eat. Xiao Qing comments that there are actually terrorists who are gentlemen. Damien’s butler comments that since Tou-san isn’t there, it means that he is... Xiao Qing happily says that there is a possibility that Tou-san is the one behind this. Damien’s butler comments that it seems that he is quite happy. Xiao Qing says that it isn’t so, but rather he’s quite terrified, for it is a wild goose chase for the whole day. “Compared to that, what I’m more interested is.. *Damien’s butler looks at him* We had been getting along for a long time already, and I still do not know your name so can you please tell me..Who..are you?” Damien’s butler smiles back and asks, “..about that, aren’t we the same?” [<- hiding true self?] The two smile at each other. At the other room, Yang Xue is worried about something happening with those two butlers alone. Damien is still sound asleep. At the moon building, some ojousama-s are depressed and terrified that they couldn’t eat. They are surprised to see Fujiko happily eating her fried fish and exclaiming that it is really good though she has to control herself else she’ll become fat. She winks at the others and tells them to eat and sleep without a care. They tell her that they don’t know what’s going to happen and they don’t know about Miruku’s whereabouts. Fujiko tells them to think about it – the terrorists even prepared food for them so they ought not to harm them [/cause trouble] further and there is also Mei and the others who will absolutely not abandon them without a care. The girls remember that four years ago, Mei is the one who saved Lucia from the witch’s hand and her butlers are the Shibata brothers. Fujiko tells them that right now, they only have to become ‘healthy and cheerful’ hostages so that they won’t make the butlers worry too much about them. The girls happily agree with her. Fujiko adds that they only have to wait. Fujiko then sweatdrops as she wonders what Nezu has been doing since he isn’t around at this critical time.
At the helicopter, Mei and Rika freaks out over the need for them to jump down with a parachute. “Absolutely cannot do that!” Kento tells them that he knows so no one is expecting them to do that. Tami will be holding Rika while Kento will be holding Mei. While Mei blushes over the possibility that Kento will be holding/embracing her, she asks about Izumi and Claris. The two girls tell Mei that they totally have no problem at all. Mei thinks that it is a waste that these two girls are ojousama-s. [<- since they aren’t spoiled, helpless like most ojousama but rather quite independent] Izumi asks how they are going to get in when the whole place is scanned/viewed by the system. Kento tells them that there is a blind spot and it is at the ruins of Lucia Palace. Tami says that when ‘she’ goes to that place, ‘she’ becomes dizzy because Kanzaki told ‘her’ that there is a high magnetic waves in that place and that is why the alarm there is useless but they have to go down within that 10 meter diameter space else, things will be quite troublesome. Izumi and Claris tell Kento that it is a piece of cake for them. Kento starts thinking, like Mei, that it is a waste that those two are ojousama-s. The pilot says that they are now above Lucia Palace. Kento tells everyone to put on the parachutes and prepare to jump. After they have all geared up, Rika starts getting scared that she tensely says that she cannot do it. Kento tells her that it will be okay, and she will be fine by just following the explanation and just believe in Tami. Kento tells Izumi and Claris to jump first. Claris asks what the goggles are for. Kento says that it will help them see the scanning/infrared rays and right now, it is a good opportunity to jump since the wind’s direction is northwest. While Kento is explaining, blushing Mei looks at him and thinks that obviously, Kento is also quite capable. Mei is surprised when Kento calls out to her. He then asks if she is feeling okay because her face is really red. Mei tensely tells him that she is alright. Kento then says that he is going to tie her together with him. Mei blushes and becomes uneasy as Kento uses a belt-like strap to tie them together. It is near her chest. Kento also slightly blushes while doing that. The silence is interrupted when Mei says that she wants to say something. Kento quickly holds up his hands and asks what. Mei just keep saying, “...tha..that..” She then puts on her goggles and exclaims that she won’t say it but rather, they ought to hurry for the others are waiting for them. Kento wonders if she was afraid. He then shouts for her to be very attentive. “Jump!” While they are free falling, Kento tells her that it will be okay, for she has him to protect her. Mei thinks that she wanted to apologize for hitting him and thank him for always being with her. “Why..why, cannot say out what I wanted to say..why is it that I..”
The belt then tightens on Mei’s chest [probably when the parachute is opened]. This made Mei blush really red and starts screaming that Kento is an idiot and a wolf. [<- she thought that Kento groped her ^^;] Mei starts freaking out while waving her arms around. Surprised and tense, Kento tells her that this isn’t the time to move recklessly. While Izumi helps Rika who doesn’t want to experience that again, Claris and Tami observe Mei’s jump. Claris exclaims that they are about to touch the infrared ray but to Claris’ surprise, it disappeared. Izumi thinks that it is.. Miruku is using her cellphone. Tou tells her that it is useless for she won’t be able to communicate outside. Miruku claims that she is just playing a game. She asks if he want to play, too. Tou declines. Kiba happily thinks that Miruku is doing a secret ‘cellphone attack’. One of the terrorists then calls out, “Toujou-sama, it’s not good, the surveillance system suddenly..oops..” Miruku perks up and asks if Tou’s real name is ‘Toujou’ and if he has a relationship with the current prime minister Toujou Takeshi* [* invented name based on the kanji]. Tou quickly turns around to cover his face. After a lot of thought, Kiba points to him and exclaims, “Could it be that you’re Shin-chan..?!” Miruku asks who that is. Meanwhile, Mei and Kento fell and their parachute was caught by a tree. Mei says that they were saved. Removing her googles, Mei tells Kento that it is all his fault for doing that.. She then notices that it seems Kento has passed out. She kept on shouting his name and if he is alright. Kento wakes up and shouts for her not to noisily shout on his ear. “Quickly get down!” Removing her suit, Mei says that it was for nothing that she was worried about him. While Mei runs off ahead, Kento is holding his chest and thinks, “This is bad..the rib injury I got from the desert..is starting to ache again..but right now..I absolutely cannot back out!” The others greet Mei that it is good that she’s alright and it seems that there is a problem with the surveillance system so right now, is the time for them to attack. Mei happily shouts to Kento that they are heading out. Everyone including Nezu and Fujiko are getting ready in their own way while Kiba kept on asking Tou if he is Shin-chan. Tou isn’t confirming it. Ren has told Yashiro that he will personally drive the car and he doesn’t need a stuntman. He believes that he can do it – make the car fly since he imagine-practice[?] it. Before the bus cameWhile everyone is in the bus, Kyouko goes to see Ren. Ren is stunned to see Kyouko’s Natsu-chan. ^^ All of the other staff are endlessly complementing Kyouko over her Natsu-chan. Kishima [貴島? Other playboy guy actor, I presume.] Kijima [Thanks Naz ^^] who is in the bus also went down to see what the fuss is about. Ren detected Kijima behind him that in 3 seconds he quickly gets Kyouko to leave the scene. [Lol..curious how that would look like] At first, Yashiro didn’t understand what Ren did but it is only when he noticed Kijima that he realized the reason for it. “Ren, your crisis processing capacity is way too strong. Even if you still looked shock [by Kyouko], when did you notice Kijima stood up from his seat?”
Ren tells Kyouko, “Princess Rosa, really suits Natsu-chan. Honestly, I’m also quite shocked since you totally look different than the usual. You can blend in the character and change yourself. I think this is your gift, your talent. It’s really exceptional--” Kyouko interrupts Ren by saying, “By the way, Tsuruga-san, about the accident part, are you going to do it yourself? I originally want to be your protective charm, but maybe you should give it up.” “If you want to do it, I still really want to accept it [being a charm?]”[<-not sure who is talking here but probably Kyouko] Ren tells her, “I hate making you do it (as a protective charm), for wasn’t the prerequisite to that is that you’ll get into some danger. You originally do not want to do something dangerous, if you think like that then there is no need for you to be a protective charm, right?” “What you said is true..” Then, Kyouko is alone by herself. Chiori goes to see Kyouko as she comes out of the shooting location. “How am I suppose to regard that reason?” [MioAVANT wrote that it is generally perhaps Ren doesn’t want to have the protection of Kyouko as a protective charm during a dangerous shooting.] Ren thinks, “After hearing the explanation why I don’t want her to be a protective charm, I almost wanted to do what to her? But, her expression is too relaxed. The president [Lory] wanted that child to be my protective charm, it seems to be for some other reason than making sure that I eat properly. Could it be that there is some other reason?” Still at the shooting location, Kyouko’s Rosa [necklace] that she wears on her neck suddenly breaks/snaps. And of course, that could be about the ‘car accident’ shoot. She calls out to him. Yukito asks her if there is any booth that she wants to check out. “Because it has been a long time since I played, I want to go goldfish scooping.” [<-is a Japanese traditional game in which a player scoops goldfish with a special scooper. Source: wiki] Someone calls his name while grabbing his sleeve. Yukito turns out to see an alien masked Kotori. Yukito looks aghast. Yukito turns the mask to the side of her head and tells her what’s with that mask. “I was so shock that I felt my heart is going to stop. Where did you find that.” After a pause, Kotori says, “You finally looked at me. Doesn’t the yukata..suit me?” After looking surprised, blushing Yukito looks at the side and asks what she is saying out of the blue. Somewhat sad Kotori says that it is because he won’t look at her so she feels that maybe he doesn’t like it. Flustered Yukito says, “Stu[pid]..it isn’t so..*blushes* It’s because it has been a long time..I don’t know what to do..for us two to be dating like this, it totally feels..you..are also so cute..cuter than you normally are..I also have my own awkwardness..” Blushing Yukito looks at blushing Kotori. He then holds Kotori’s hand tightly. Kotori looks down then turns away as she tells him that maybe it is good for him not to look at her. Kotori is surprised when he said that it is too late. He made her look at him. He tells her, “I want to look! Always and always look at you.” This made Kotori flustered. She then looks somewhat surprised when he smiles at her. Kotori thinks that look on his face. “He is teasing me. He is absolutely playing around with me!” Kotori tells Yukito that a while ago, he just smiled. Yukito denies it. Kotori says his eyes were smiling. Yukito denies it again. Kotori angrily says it is true. Yukito laughs. A guy asks another guy if he just saw that. The other guy says yes. With sparkles, Abe and Ryosuke happily exclaim, “The birth of foolish lovers!” The couple looks at the two guys. Aghast, Yukito mutters in disbelief that they actually came. Abe sheepishly smiles and flashes a v-sign. Looking at the side, Ryosuke says that tragically, they have too much free time. [<- no girlfriends =P ]
Putting his arm around Kotori, Yukito says is that so, then they can stroll around as they please. The two guys exclaim in disbelief as they say that Yukito is too cruel. Yukito has already turned around with Kotori and starts to walk away with her. The two guys can only call out to the foolish lovers. Blushing Yukito mutters that Ryosuke is such a troublesome guy. Kotori looks at him and wonders if he is shy. She looks somewhat sad then suddenly thinks what now, she feels a bit light. “Just now, I felt a bit depressed. But I’ll quickly cheer up because of some words that Yukito said. ..With just Yukito’s touch, I felt really happy, my heart is beating fast..it feels that my body is feeling really hot. *Kotori and Yukito happily look at each other* I feel a bit light..whether it’s my feelings or my body, really, it feels a bit light..” At Kotori’s home, with a dark aura around her, Kotori is lying on her bed. Kotori mutters that she feels dizzy, light-headed and it’s hot. She sits up and checks her temperature on the thermometer. It is 39.2øC. Kotori mutters that those numbers seems to be the same as the grades she got in the term exams. Her mother went to attend to their father who was working elsewhere [ like other parts of the country or overseas but I think it is the former] so temporarily she isn’t at home. “The only one home is only my brother..a really unreliable guy. *facing down the bed* Natsume has work. Yukito.. Ah..no, my room is messy. I’m bothered about that.” At the restaurant, Yukito sees on the bulletin board that Kotori is on sick leave. Yukito thinks that she is quite energetic yesterday so could it be that she is just enduring it. Just then the door opens and Keigo comes in. He exclaims, “Ah, Hi-” A bit flustered, Yukito greets him back. Keigo then asks, “Who are you?” Yukito didn’t reply. With a deadpan expression, Keigo continues to say, “Ah? Ah ah, you dyed your hair, right? I totally didn’t recognize you.”
Yukito thinks that it seems that Keigo is doing that deliberately. Yukito says yes and he also got his hair cut shorter. The two then turns about face as they busy themselves about going to work. Before Yukito leaves the room, he turns around to tell Keigo, “About that..regarding Kotori, thank you.” Keigo looks at him in surprise. Somewhat puzzled-annoyed, Keigo says that he didn’t help them reunite. Somewhat smiling, Yukito says that it isn’t about that but rather, it is when Kotori is being followed by that stalker. “Didn’t I ask you to walk her home? Thanks to you accompanying her, Kotori doesn’t have much scary memories and enabled [me/us] to capture that stalker. So, I want to thank you. But, from some other implication, you are also part of the danger.” This made Keigo smile. He says, “That’s also true so if you are negligent and careless, it might be really dangerous, right?” Yukito replies, “Indeed, but because I failed once, so it won’t be easily be destroyed by [others] again.” As the two guys smile at each other, Keigo muses that Yukito is quite calm [/confident about that]. Back at Kotori’s house, Kotori’s brother asks if she is alright. Lying on the bed, Kotori mutters no. Looking at the thermometer, her brother says that her fever won’t leave. He tells her that he bought a lot of cooling gel sheets so she ought to remember to stick them. Kotori lamely says ya. She wonders out loud if it is because she got wet in the rain last Saturday. Her brother says it is probable. He tells her to just call him if she needs anything. Kotori calls out to her brother. She apologizes for he is supposed to go on a trip with his girlfriend today. “I..just have to sleep a bit and I’ll be fine.” Her brother calls her stupid and tells her not to mind it for how could he just leave her without a care when she is in that kind of condition. Kotori mutters why it feels that he is nicer than he usually is. He then says that he has a call so he’ll go downstairs. Kotori says okay. After he left, Kotori thinks that it is too quiet. She can faintly hear the sounds outside. “With it being like this, it totally feels as if I alone was cast away in some place..it feels, a bit..lonely and helpless..so hot..I cannot..cannot take it..cooling gel..cooling gel..*sits up and puts one of the sheets on her forehead* Is Kenken out in the yard..right now, he should be sunbathing. I wish that Kenken would at least be at my side..*falls on the bed again* Ugh..*pause* Not only is it hot, it’s too quiet..ah, that’s right..I’ll watch a story program, *takes her cellphone* with this, maybe it will lessen the hotness of my body and the quietness a bit..”
The show is – “That year, it was the summer break of my first year in high school. One day, because I’m not feeling well, I was sleeping alone in the house.. Because I have a hard time sleeping, I always would wake up. At that time, I heard someone walking up the stairs.. That day, I was all alone at home. Everyone else should be out on a trip. After some time, the sound of footsteps stops at my doorstep-” Gloomy Kotori closes her cellphone as she tensely wonders if it is talking about her. Putting her cellphone on the table, she feels cool already so she thinks that she is getting well already. She tries to sleep but still feels unwell. “Originally..at this time, I should be at work and will meet up with Yukito..I plan to go on a date at some place on the way home, we had obviously talked about passing the remainder of the break together..not good, I feel weak and increasingly unwell..Yukito..” Downstairs, Kotori’s brother is sitting on the sofa while talking on his cellphone with his girlfriend, Mamiri. He apologizes to Mamiri that he cannot do anything for his younger sister had a high fever and there no one else is at home. Mamiri accuses him of using an alibi for he is actually being fickle. “The younger sister you are talking about is some other girl, right?” Kotori’s brother tensely asks, “What? I told you already~~ She is really my younger sister, right now, she is sleeping upstairs.” Mamiri says that this is a rare trip. “I won’t cancel it, idiot!” Kotori’s brother asks, “Ha?” Mamiri just says that she doesn’t care about him. Then, she hangs up the phone. Kotori’s brother becomes gloomy when the door bell rings. Outside the gate, Yukito rings the doorbell again. He wonders if no one is at home. Holding up a bag of something [= visit gift], he thinks that he ought to have emailed her first to verify if she is at home. “I just suddenly went to Kotori’s house. Ah, but I’m really worried, maybe she really got sick. Ah, could it she’s really sick? That’s right, if she is all alone in the house..maybe she cannot get up and open the door?” Just then, Kotori’s brother gloomily opens the door and asks who it is. A bit flustered, Yukito stutters, “That, I’m Kotori’s..ah, Kotori-chan’s..’s..” He starts thinking, “Is..is it alright for me to say I’m her boyfriend? In this kind of situation, can I say it? Can I?” Kotori’s brother looks at him in silence. He then asks Yukito, “Kotori’s..ah? Could it be...boyfriend? Something?” This made Yukito blush even redder. He slightly bows and admits it. Kotori’s brother goes into shock and exclaims if it is true. Yukito is puzzled when Kotori’s brother starts muttering if it is actually true, he’s a real person and not some guy whom Kotori just fantasized about.
Kotori’s brother thinks for a moment then holds surprise Yukito’s shoulders. He says, “Good, it’s good that you came, real boyfriend. Your timing is really good. My younger sister is currently lying down and couldn’t get up but I should get back my beloved girlfriend and go on a trip. By the way, my parents aren’t at home either. Even if I’m very uneasy about this but, that girl would definitely be happy..I’ll leave the rest up to you!” Yukito just looks surprised and asks, “Eh?” Kotori’s brother tells him that before anyone comes home, he’ll leave it up to him. Yukito still looks surprised. Taking his bag, Kotori’s brother winks and waves goodbye at Yukito. He tells Yukito that Kotori is on the second floor in the room at the left side. “Please favor and, goodbye!” Still looking surprised, Yukito just holds up his hand to wave back and mutters, “Ya..goodbye.” After it has sunk in his head, Yukito exclaims, “What?!” Yukito opens the door and peeks in the house. “It seems that there is no other person here..” He thinks that Kotori’s brother is at par with his own brother. Yukito wonders, “Is this is really okay..just go in like that..it shouldn’t be okay, in any aspect I look at it. But, she couldn’t get up.” Yukito calls out that he’ll be intruding. [<- being polite]. He walks inside and tries to find the stairs. While he walks in the hallway, Kenken is watching him from the glass window that faces the yard. =P Soon, Yukito stands in front of the door which he assumes to be Kotori’s bedroom. He knocks and calls out her name but there is no answer. He decides to go in. To his surprise, he sees Kotori lying on the floor. He quickly goes to her and helps her up. “Hey, are you alright..” Yukito becomes scared upon seeing Kotori covered with cooling sheets all over her eyes, face, neck and shoulders. Yukito somewhat backs away and mutters, “Mum..*tense* mummy?” Kotori groans and asks if that voice is Yukito’s. Yukito starts removing the sheets off her face and asks what she is doing. “You--really startled me, let me say, you stuck too many sheets.” Kotori tells him that it is because it is so hot that one sheet isn’t enough. Kotori looks at him intently and asks if it is really Yukito. Yukito says that it is. Kotori asks why he is there. “Am I dreaming? Per..perhaps it is because of the fever that I have become a bit strange..” Yukito kisses her foreheard and says, “I’m truly here.” Kotori looks at him. Yukito suddenly blushes really red and apologizes for he wasn’t able to restrain himself. “What am I doing to a sick person.” Kotori calls out his name and quickly hugs him. “I’m really helpless.” Yukito holds on to her and says, “Ya..it’s alright. You have me by your side.” Hugging her, Yukito thinks, “Uh-oh..this is really bad..it seems that the one..who has a problem is me..if this keeps up..”
I like how the author put in two elements of summer in this chapter, namely matsuri and ghosts =P Though the ghost is usually for courage tests. Hehe, that is twice in a chapter that Kotori unintentionally scared the living daylights out of Yukito. Fufu..the third one might be Kenken in the next chapter =P I think what fun about this couple is is that they are cute, romantic and silly. How the two guys describe them really fits. It’s nice that Yukito dyed his hair black again for Kotori ^^ After just getting back together again, they do have their awkward moments but it is balanced with sweet moments. ^^ I also like how Yukito and Keigo can still be cordial with each other –no hard feelings type- even if they were love rivals. It really makes me think that this series is a feel good one since good guys are not that pitiful even if they didn’t get the girl and the bad ones almost always get what they deserve ^^ Now, about Kotori’s brother..he is indeed very unreliable and irresponsible to just let Yukito in the house while Kotori is sick. He is putting so much trust in Yukito whom he met for the first time. I guess for him, it is girlfriend first before a younger sister’s safety. ^^; Thankfully, Yukito is a nice innocent-type of guy or else, I would really fear for Kotori. I do find it amusing that whether a guy has a girlfriend or not, they all have their own different problems. In Kotori’s brother’s case, his girlfriend is a jealous-type and he is obviously head over heels in love with her. I’m somewhat curious what she looks like though. Hm..now that I think of it, it seems that Kotori’s brother is the only other guy who has a girlfriend aside from Yukito in this series =P Lastly, is it just me or Yukito and Natsume have the same hairstyle? ^^;; Scans by xiuxiu and 豆芽豆芽 for BW.

[Sorry!, only one chapter of Kurobara Alice for now. I couldn’t progress it and it is taking too much time. Maybe it is because I’m not that enthusiastic about doing it because the two other chapters are mostly flashbacks with lots of text ^^; Sorry for those who were expecting three chapters.]
Smiling, Alice says that Leo thinks of others too much and really likes to act cool. Dimitri says that if it’s Leo, he would say that it’s because it matches his aesthetics. Alice laughs and says that Leo is so foolish. Dimitri agrees with her. He says that Leo is too intoxicated with aesthetics that he died without leaving his seed behind. “If there is one sentence that I could say it will be he’s too stupid that he cannot be saved. ..He even said that it is correct for you not to choose him. You are a sensible woman. Even if I consider him as a really good guy but since you didn’t choose him, it goes to show that you definitely have a reason that you didn’t chose him.” Alice somewhat smiles over this then from somewhat happy faces, the two look sad. While gripping the chair’s arm, Alice says that from today on, she will wear the clothes, chosen by Leo for her, everyday and she will always prepare herself [= make-up] using the mirror that Leo gave. She comments that she thinks that from the very start, Leo knew that things will turn out like that yet she doesn’t know anything to the point that she said a lot of mindless things. “What could Leo be feeling upon hearing those things? *crying* Being like this, how could I understand..” Dimitri holds out his hand to comfort her but he stops himself. Dimitri tells her that he knew early on that Leo cannot live long and Leo had also prepared himself for it a long time ago. The lifespan of vampires varies and Leo’s growth ring matured faster compared to the twins’. “So, at that time, in order for him to breed, I have prepared you. Actually, it doesn’t matter who that partner, who’ll breed with him, is. It only has to be a female whom Leo thought to be excellent and will truly love them as vampires. “But apparently, Leo has fallen for you and I thought you would also specially notice him..compared to the others. So, it will be very good if the two of you can mutually connect with each other...and then I can also totally unload the heavy burden on my shoulders.” Alice looks at Dimitri in surprise. Dimitri tells Alice that her body can never die unless it breeds with a vampire. It is because of his idiocy that made Agnieska’s body, through a cruel way, remain in this world. He wants to atone for his sin while he is living ‘as well as Leo’s atonement’. [<- ‘..’ are said in low voice] Dimitri tells her that he wished that Leo will happily breed and by Leo’s side, he’ll protect/guard him throughout his life.
Dimitri tells her that it is because Leo is the genealogical vampire ancestor Maximillian, a man who loved yet wasn’t able to find happiness throughout his life. He looks at Alice and says that he isn’t blaming her. “The one who is wrong isn’t you. Leo, he...inherited Maximillian’s bad habits. Maximillian is someone who’ll strangle his whole heart and whole thoughts to throw himself for his aesthetics and loyalty. He’s really a hopeless man. Always wanting to be cool. It is inevitable that kind of style makes women run away [from him]. In the end..” Alice looks flustered then she is surprised to see Dimitri crying. Gripping the arm rest tight, Dimitri says that he’s thinking in detail as to where one had made a mistake and in the end, it is pointed to him. If something happens, he couldn’t clearly be aware of it. “Except for me, anyone is right and normal. It is only I who is always stupid and other people’s happiness are ruined by him. Why is it that I can live this long when obviously whether it’s other people’s lives or my own, I only tend to increase the black stain and nothing more..!” After covering his face to cry, Dimitri turns away from Alice. To his surprise, Alice stands up to hug him..er his head. This made Dimitri stop crying as he starts to look tense. He blushes then closes his eyes. Dimitri tells Alice that Maximillian is his former attendant. He also tells her that Maximillian always give him a vampire thing that while he was still human, he wasn’t able to attain. Alice asks what it is. Dimitri says that she might not be able to understand since it isn’t common in Japan. It is kissing of the hand that is usually given to someone who has a higher status than the one doing it. Maximillian is the first one who treated him as a nobleman and he always wished to become someone whom a person would swear his loyalty by kissing his hand. Looking at her hands, Alice says that she has seen that only in movies but this body has probably experienced it before. Sparkling, Alice holds out her hand to him and asks, “Is it like this?” Dimitri somewhat smiles and says that Agnieska won’t have such an arrogant expression. He explains that being born into nobility won’t make one think that one’s position is really high. Agnieska has a smile that doesn’t know the world’s filthiness, and believing that it is something inevitable for everyone to love and respect her. “She doesn’t think too much of anything and just stretches out her hand.” Alice wonders how to do that expression. She stretches her hand again while smiling brightly somewhat innocently. She asks, “Is it like this?” To her surprise and embarrassment, Dimitri bursts out laughing. Flustered Alice exclaims that it is because she is just an ordinary Japanese woman. Dimitri looks at Alice’s outstretched hand. He then holds two of her fingers. This surprises Alice. With a sad look, Dimitri says that she really isn’t Agnieska. “It is okay like this. Because like this, I can---...” While Dimitri bends down to kiss her hand, Alice looks surprised and thinking that this is the first time Dimitri touched her body. Alice flustered a bit when he kissed her hand.
Looking out the window as it becomes dark soon, Dimitri remembers getting the XXI tarot card (The World) which he interpreted as ‘Welcome the end of one thing. After rebirth, you need to open up to a hint of a totally new life.’ He also remembers Leo telling him to please start a totally new life. Dimitri mutters that what was shown in the tarot cards is... Kai enters the living room and asks Dimitri if he really isn’t going to the matsuri/festival. He somewhat smiles and says that he is in mourning. Kai didn’t reply back so Dimitri tells him that they can go ahead and he’ll just properly mourn in their place. He urges them to go together with Alice and if everyone kept on having gloomy faces, Alice will look expressionless and wouldn’t go anymore. They had forced unto Alice that atypical breeding thing – a hopeless and no future burden/responsibility that can make one detest it. Even if this kind of life would become murkier yet that isn’t unfathomable. “But in order for our lives not to change much, she is doing her best in doing what she reflected on. It is best that we should also do our best in responding back to her. Honestly, I totally haven’t thought that she’ll unexpectedly add brilliance to our lives this way.” After a pause, Kai says that is true then, they’ll be going ahead. After he left, Dimitri hears a noise behind him. He turns around to see yukata-clad Alice peeking from the corner. With a smile, Dimitri asks if she wore the yukata by herself. Alice says yes. He asks why she is hiding. “Come and show me.” Blushing, Alice comes out and asks him what he thinks for it has been a long time since she wore one. Still smiling, Dimitri says that she’s very cute. He asks her to let him see her back. Alice turns around to show him. Dimitri says that it’s truly perfect and Leo really knows what suits her. Alice asks him if he isn’t going out to the matsuri. Dimitri tells her that he will just leisurely pass the time at home. “Today, you should go on a date with the twins. Be careful and not let the geta [wooden clogs] rub against your feet.” After a pause, blushing Alice says that she’ll go out now. Tok-tok-tok, her geta sounded as she heads out the door. Dimitri is looking at her intently then calls out her name. Alice turns around to face him. With a somewhat sad smile, Dimitri says, “I like you, Alice. Be more careful when you are outside.” Alice is surprised by what he said. Reiji comes in and asks Alice if she is ready for they should go. Upon seeing Alice, Reiji exclaims that she really looks cute and it suits her. She really looks like a goldfish. While he is saying all that, somewhat smiling Dimitri is just looking at Alice.
At the shrine, Alice has zone out when Reiji is asking her if it is tight and does her feet hurts. Alice is sitting on a bench while Reiji is kneeling in front of her. Alice manages to snap out of it and blurts out that that she is fine and it isn’t tight. Reiji says that it seems that she isn’t in the mood to go to a matsuri. Alice denies it and says that it is because she is a bit hungry. Reiji blames it on Kai who is so slow. He wonders if Kai can do it alone after being asked to buy a lot of things. Alice remembers Dimitri warning about the geta. Alice holds her bruised feet and thinks that if she knew earlier, she would have worn something else instead. She then blushes really red when she remembers him saying that he likes her. Reiji tells her that although he feels that there is nothing to say and it is okay to just think that nothing happened as they go on their normal lives. “I do not want to lead a girl around and I also hate saying bad things to someone who is dead so, there is only one sentence that I can say once. I don’t think that Leo’s way of doing things is correct. There is no way out regarding life expectancy. I also clearly know the feeling and the reason as to why he didn’t confess until the end. So, as a result, he didn’t say anything and just gave up. That is so irresponsible. Even if one’s life expectancy is something that he can control, but for him, it is something very important. If he planned on properly telling you about it, even if it is that kind of circumstance, he should have properly confessed it with you. That is what I think...” Alice just looks at him. Reiji apologizes and says that he won’t mention it for a second time. “Even if I said those things and you might think that I’m despicable person but I feel that I should properly convey my thoughts to you..” This made Alice smile and say that yes, that is good. Before, they would just always smile about things that she doesn’t understand what’s going on. “I find it very amusing that you can actually open up like this. Reiji is really manly ♡” That remark made Reiji blush. He look at Alice then gives her a kiss on the lips. Alice looks at him in surprise. Reiji admits to her that with one guy gone, he think that this is an ‘opportunity’ and maybe, she’ll consequently belittle him but he also thinks that always making her happy would just create an opposite effect [= not fall for them]. He won’t use any tactics and strategies. Even if she is flattered [by others?], he also won’t be tense. “Before anyone gets you, I wish that you can treat me as your man because I like you.” He kisses her again just when Kai came back while holding all the food they asked him to buy. Narration: “—Thus, even if they said that they are going to fight fairly, but in the end, until today, it is just to give way to Leo. For a guy who doesn’t have much life left. But, he is no longer here. The direction of the wind has started to change.”
And that pretty much concludes Leo’s arc. Most of this chapter is about Alice talking with Dimitri regarding Leo. Yes, it does seem to be the natural way of things after a demise but for a story, it can be a bit boring. At least, it is over and done with. The highlight is of course the hand kissing. I find it really obvious that these two like each other though I cannot convincingly say if Dimitri really likes Alice for herself or it is just because she is in that body. Anyway, he is the one who chose her. It does seem to be dragging a bit to what is inevitable except if the author decides to do a plot twist in the end. =P I’m somewhat amused at how Reiji is similar with Leo even if he claims to not like Leo’s style. Isn’t he also kissing Alice as he pleases? ^^; I still think that the real contenders for her are Dimitri and Kai. Reiji seems to be forgetting that Alice isn’t some young girl who can be easily wooed, etc by going physical. It seems to me that Alice wants to know them in depth as in their secrets and what makes them tick rather than just showing their good behavior when in front of her. If she is going to base it on their good behavior and how to please her, of course, Leo wins hands down. ..But, she didn’t. Well, Alice somewhat knows about Dimitri’s past but not the twins’. Interestingly, Dimitri mentioned ‘hints’ about his past like what he did to Agnieska’s body but somehow Alice didn’t follow it up like how she died, etc. I guess her instinct is to first comfort him. I was about to say that he could have told her about it to turn her off but then, with Leo out of the way, would he want her for himself? Also, it might not be a turn off but a turn on..=P You know, wanting to comfort the tragic guy. Lastly, about the fortune telling, I wonder if Dimitri reads the fortune of someone close to him, it would be his own fortune or it was just a coincidence? Scans by 動漫花園S組.

The scene changes to somewhat older Cain walking at the hallway when he is called out by young Caesar. Caesar happily told his brother that he heard of Cain’s brave heroics during the battle with Senan a few days ago. “No wonder it’s brother..! You’re really amazing.” Cain asked if he really thought so. Belenus urged Caesar that they should leave. Caesar complained that he knows already, Belenus is really noisy and he doesn’t want to see his mother because she only criticizes him. Caesar bade Cain goodbye as he walks away with Belenus. Cain is just starting at them specifically at Caesar’s black hair. At some party, General Douglas introduced a black haired beauty [his daughter] to Cain. The girl introduced herself as Louise. Cain is captivated by her beauty. Outside the hall near the garden, Cain asked Louise if she would accept his invitation. Louise seemed to be a bit hesitant. Then, there is some rustling sound. Older Caesar went to them and asked Cain what he is doing there and won’t he be dancing. Seeing Louise there, Caesar casually asked her to dance. Cain is surprised to see Louise blushing. He then looks somewhat sad. While walking away with Louise and his arm around her shoulder, Caesar then told Cain that he’s going ahead. Cain just put on a smile and somewhat laugh as he said goodbye. Cain thinks, “Ah ah, not even conscious of it, he has snatched away my everything. Caesar...I really hate you.” End flashback
After seeing Cain’s past, somewhat exhausted Nakaba sits on the floor by the tent’s door. Crying, she thinks that as expected, it is very similar to hers and that Cain had such an unpleasant past because of his hair color. “After seeing that, my chest really hurts..” Then, she remembers Cain telling her that he always hoped for an opportunity to chat with her and the scene of young Cain crying and apologizing to his mother. In anguish, Nakaba says, “I..don’t want to see anymore..when it’s obvious that there is a possibility that Prince Cain can become the enemy..” At the villager head’s house, the three guys are wide awake as they stand in a room. Looking out the window, Caesar wonders if Nakaba and the others are alright. Loki didn’t react. Belenus comments that rather than their side, the one who is in a direr and more dangerous situation is Caesar. Caesar somewhat smiles and agrees for his brother really hates him. Belenus tells him of the possibility that Cain will use this opportunity to get rid of him. Caesar looks somewhat sad. After a pause, he says, “I won’t let my brother’s wish come true..” Soon, it is morning. Nakaba wakes up after sneezing in her sleep. With a blanket over her, she heads out of the tent to see Cain talking with a soldier. Cain notices her. Nakaba approaches him and apologizes for last night. Cain smiles brightly and says that it seems that she had rest well because the color of her face has improved. Nakaba thinks that Cain is really not a bad guy. [Note: () are thoughts] Nakaba then pleads to Cain, “Prince Cain...please save.. (This person) Caesar and the others..You really shouldn’t attack the Ajin village. (came to test the strength of the ore-made swords.) ..you should absolutely not! If you do so, you won’t be able to safeguard Caesar and the others’ safety. ...Prince Cain! Don’t you think that our position is the same with that of the Ajin-s? Our status has been decided upon our birth...all because of lineage..(I hope you understand.) our position of whether we are superior or inferior has been forever decided...! (This person knows the feeling of a heartache.)” After looking surprised and somewhat sad, Cain pats Nakaba’s head and says, “You are a really nice princess.” Nakaba looks surprised over that gesture. Cain admits that he also hates the difference in status. “..right..Ajin-s and also humans..everyone should be equal.” Nakaba’s eyes widen as she wonders if Cain understood her.
Cain tells her that he has already dispatched someone to get the letter which acknowledges the autonomy of that village. “Caesar and the others will be saved...that village will also attain their independence.” Nakaba just says, ‘ah ah’ [=okay]. This made Cain ruffle her hair. Cain then pulls his hand away and says that doing that will make Caesar angry. Cain smiles and apologizes. This made Nakaba break into a smile, too. She tells him that it is okay. Soon, Cain gets a letter from a soldier. Cain enters the tent where Nakaba and the others are. He tells Nakaba that the letter has already arrived. He asks if he can disturb them since he has a suggestion to tell them. Nakaba and others are surprised when Cain tells them to go back to the city, ahead of the others. Even if he is just going to give the letter to the village and the villagers did agree to free Caesar and the others, there is still a chance for a mishap and they cannot let the princess [Nakaba] be placed in danger. Emilia just look serious when Cain says, “I know you are worried about Caesar and the others, but I hope you can go to a safe place. I think that Caesar would have also wished for that.” Nakaba tries to protest but she remembers her vision of Emilia getting stabbed so she decided not to put Emilia in danger. Emilia is somewhat surprised when Nakaba agrees to Cain’s suggestion to head back to the city. Looking relieved Cain says that is good and that way, he’ll be at ease. Cain escorts them to the carriage. While Emilia is heading into the carriage, Nakaba tells Cain that she’ll leave the rest to him. Cain just says ‘ah ah’ in acknowledgement. As the carriage moves away, Nakaba gives Cain one last glance. She wonders if this is enough, Prince Cain will be giving the village its independence and at the same time, Emilia will be safe. When they haven’t gone far, Emilia asks the driver if they can stop for a while. The driver asks what it is. Emilia exclaims that she’s going to the toilet and how could he make a lady say that. After the three head down the carriage, the soldier asks her not to go too far. Emilia says that she has Nakaba and a servant so there should be no problem, they’ll come back quick. When they had walked a bit further, Nakaba innocently tells Emilia that she will stay there to wait for her. Emilia asks what she is saying. “We are going back to the village.”
This surprises Nakaba as she and Leo follow Emilia who kept on walking ahead. Nakaba asks her what is going on, for weren’t they going back to the city. Emilia says that she has something to tell her. She stops walking and faces Nakaba. “I also have an Arcana. ‘Arcana of Reading Hearts’. I can read and understand people’s feelings.” Nakaba is stunned to hear that Emilia also has an Arcana. Emilia tells Nakaba that when Cain said that he’s going to give the letter to the village to make them free Caesar and the others, she has felt it. “It is the heart of one who is deceiving someone by telling lies.” Emilia starts to walk again and says that she is worried about her brother and the others so they should quickly return to the village. Nakaba is still in disbelief that Cain is lying..that smiling face Cain. Nakaba shouts that Emilia is wrong and Cain isn’t. “Prince Cain said that he’s going to save Caesar and the others..he said that he’ll give the village its independence..!” Emilia shouts back, “It’s a lie!” Nakaba answers back, “How do you know..!” Emilia exclaims that she just told her that she has an Arcana. Nakaba kept on protesting that Emilia got angry and points at Nakaba’s chest to say, “Then, Nakaba..! What is that feeling of dread whenever you look at me? I know all about that!” Stunned Nakaba looks at irked Emilia and thinks, “Dread? ..because, because Emilia, doesn’t know when she’ll be stabbed by a sword, so I’m afraid. That’s right. I dread it.” Emilia tells Nakaba that it seems that she and Cain-sama had some sympathetic feelings for each other. “I think it should be because your circumstances are very similar... Since I was young and I always follow my brother [who is walking together with Caesar] around so I had seen Cain-sama a lot of times, ..I’m very afraid of him.” There is a scene of young Emilia looking scared. She clings on her brother while looking at young Caesar happily talking with smiling Cain. End flashback. Emilia tells Nakaba that Cain is emitting dark feelings that makes one dare not approach him. “Until now, this has not changed one bit.” Nakaba looks dark and serious as she remembers what she saw in her vision. She thinks, “That’s true...with glaring eyes, he looks at Caesar’s black hair. That vengeful stare, I have also seen it.” Somewhat hesitant and remorseful, Nakaba says, “Emilia...we will..return to the village..” Narration: “So, I’ve said that I don’t want to see it [the vision of Cain’s past]..”
Okay, the author successfully made it difficult to just feel nothing if ever Cain dies in this arc. I do feel sorry for the guy and his situation really sucks that I cannot really blame him for hating Caesar. Caesar did unintentionally take everything from him and in Cain’s mind, the only thing to remedy things is for Caesar to just disappear from the face of the earth. I actually cannot say the same for Louise’ case though. Cain did have her from Caesar because he is the first prince. It is indeed infuriating especially for a young boy who really loves his mother to be helplessly when they stripped his mother of her title just because he doesn’t have the favored black hair. They are bullying a dead person. =( I think that strategist is working for Caesar’s mother that he suggested that to the king who is still grieving. It does seem to be a time when the king is too exhausted to think straight. It also does seem that the king used to be nice and open-minded before because after all, he did marry a commoner so it goes to show that he prioritized love but after her death, he let himself be eaten up by the system or norm of their society. Without that nice and cheerful woman like Cain’s mother around him, I guess that is why the king became bitter, violent and everything. Somehow I feel that Nakaba and Caesar have luckier childhood since they have someone always beside them but Cain has no one so without someone to guide him, he just let himself get carried away by his hatred. Actually, I think that the people in the palace just treat him nicely because he is the first prince but otherwise, they would be talking behind his back. They are doing it already with his mother so what more to a blond prince who has no back-up/allies in the palace. It is a bit strange that they would go to the extreme of trying to make Nakaba dye her hair because of their visitors yet in front of them is a prince whose hair isn’t black. ^^;; Oh well, it is either they are just bullying her or the author is making things up as she proceeds with the story so things don’t really jive at times =P It also makes me wonder if Cain is good in fighting because he just imagines them as Caesar ^^; Well, from their joust, it seems that Caesar is still better than him or Cain just got too cocky. I guess as time goes on, the brothers’ relationship soured that Cain doesn’t hide his resentment of Caesar anymore and Caesar knows of it. Since he is sending Nakaba and the others home, I think that he will only limit his hatred to Caesar and will not do anything below the belt as in involve others. If he is really sinister, he could just used Nakaba to get Caesar to do whatever he wants after all, Caesar kissing Nakaba before they separated and what he did when they tried to dye her hair showed a lot that Caesar has fallen for Nakaba. Now about Louise, it does seem that Cain hasn’t been demoted to second prince and, he will be the next in line for the throne else, they would have made him marry Nakaba instead of Caesar, and Louise would be with Caesar whom she loves instead of Cain. I think the king let Cain still be the first prince for the sake of Cain’s mother. So, it does seem idiotic that they demoted a commoner queen with the possibility that a blond prince will become king. ^^; Maybe the king regretted what he did. I have a feeling and probably Cain knows this, too that the moment the king dies or something, they are going to put Caesar on the throne. They do prioritize prestige and pride over feelings and what is right. They would probably want black haired king with a red haired princess rather than a blond kind with a black haired queen [Louise]. I’ll say that Louise’s father made the wrong decision for making her get engaged with Cain. If Caesar did become king, there is a possibility of what happened to his father be repeated again so it is better that they change the system first and don’t make Caesar take in a concubine. =P
With these thoughts, I wonder why Caesar’s mother has not done anything yet to Cain. What Cain thinks regarding Caesar is the same with what Caesar’s mother thinks regarding Cain. If Cain is out of the way, Caesar will be king. It would be an interesting twist if it turns out that Caesar’s mother poisoned Cain’s mother then got that strategist to make her the official queen as written in the history books. If Cain thinks that attacking the village is a good opportunity to get rid of Caesar, isn’t it also a good opportunity to those who want to get rid of Cain so that Caesar will become king? It does seem a bit odd to send a prince just for the testing of their special swords. Is it necessary for a royalty to oversee it? Maybe, as I thought, Cain is using fighting as a way to vent off his frustration and he’s good at fighting that is why he was the one chosen to go there. And that is probably why Louise’ father thought highly of Cain that he made his daughter get engaged with him. Since Caesar’s mother and Louise seem to be of common mentality, they can just conspire together to get rid of Cain and Nakaba. Thus, the problem is solved and the status quo is preserved. They can even get their other allies to help them. I think bribing soldiers to do the dirty deed is no problem at all. So basically, the outcome of this arc can be crucial..unless, nothing really happens that is life changing ^^; I hope not since the author seems to be building things up. We will soon know what the higher-ups prioritize, Caesar or giving autonomy? Actually, they can do that like make the Ajin-s believe that they are going to give them autonomy then attack when they lowered their defense. Of course, it is their undoing that they just happen to send Cain to do the job and Caesar happens to be in that village. Maybe they are thinking about let the best prince survive this. If anything awful happens to Cain, I guess Nakaba will be the one who’ll be really sad among them since she knew his past and why he became like that. If she becomes queen, maybe they can correct the history books about Cain’s mother. As for Emilia, I really hope she doesn’t die whether or not her stabbing can be prevented. I like her character and thanks to her Arcana, she isn’t a naive type of girl. Unlike Nakaba, she knows how to use it since she was a kid. Even if she seems like a spoiled kid sister, she has brains to put two and two together that she can figure out why this person is feeling this and that way. She will immediately put into action what she put her head into but then, it can be a bit reckless. ^^; Also, since it is confirmed that she has an Arcana, it goes to show that Arcana-s are not limited to Ajins. Just like her brother, she can be an adviser/strategist type or be in a job who talks with other people since that is a way to put her ability to good use. I guess she can be Nakaba’s ‘sidekick/adviser’ just like as how Caesar has her brother. =P That will pretty much free Loki from babysitting Nakaba. Well, I find it amusing that the king didn’t know that there is one who has an Arcana right under his nose. I’ll say that Emilia is really wise not to reveal it else others will just use her because of her ability. I have a feeling that strategist who suggested the exchange of the queens’ position is Emilia and Belenus’ father. That person looks like Belenus =P If that is true, I find it interesting that in their family line, they have this Arcana and their profession is more on adviser/dealing with people types. It is really a match. ^^ Now that I think of it, I will find it ironic if ever only the black haired people don’t have Arcana-s in their lineage =P Scans by 草莓defer for iieye

Ouran 82 is really funny =P as well as KWMS! 53. Other than ‘nin-nin’ being from ‘nin’-ja. It is interesting to point out that the kanji for ‘nin’ means ‘bear/endure’. So, I’m somewhat curious if Usui’s brother made him say that to remind him that he ought to endure his mission or he is just trying to be cute by making that guy say the first syllable of ninja twice. ^^; This somewhat reminds me of chapter 28 in Oresama Teacher. A glasses ninja tries to stalk Mafuyu and Hayasaka but usually ended up being foiled by clueless Hayasaka who has a knack of unwittingly foiling the ninja’s ‘undercover schemes’. It would be more funny if he is in ninja uniform but he's a student so.. Anyway, the point of this entry is ‘Oresama Teacher-style on how to find a ninja’:
1. Look up the ceiling, it might not be some cockroach <- Mafuyu’s description but a ninja above you.
2. Randomly hit walls and you might luckily hit one. =P
3. See that suspicious bamboo in the pond? Just put a cling wrap over it and you’ll see a ninja soon enough. Poor guy..

For those waiting for Ouran High Host Club 82, just wait a few more days or earlier because based on the English scanlation groups’ status, they are just doing the finishing touches. I have not seen the raws and the Chinese scans aren’t out so there is nothing to write about. For those who want to read a teeny-tiny spoiler, go to Owari’s sister’s blog Hm..it seems that not only La Corda’s Len is going abroad but also.. ^^;; For those who want to read Faster than a Kiss 36, go to Ankemaybe’s blog. And, yes, I won’t be summarizing that chapter anymore.
So for next week, you’ll probably expect Reimei no Arcana 18 (easy), Bokutachi wa Shitte Shimatta 40 (easy), Kurobara Alice 14-1516 (hard) and Mei-chan no Shitsuji (hard). Hehe, that’s the minimum hope-to-finish-summaries. ^^; Okay, KA 16 is just out like now so I lost confidence if I can finish MnS ^^;; I'll just do my best. For BwSS 40, I’m still waiting for xiuxiu to upload them in BW. Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu is on hold because Bebexiu had informed me that someone wanted to translate that. There is still no confirmation yet so I’ll just ask her again about it after I finished the pending summaries. We can also expect Skip Beat and The One by next week ^^ Papillon might be pushed back for next month. I’m expecting manga dump by the first week of September..depending on how busy and how many people will upload the scans. If it hasn’t started, I’ll summarize Papillon in the meantime. Papillon isn’t a priority since the chapters aren’t incrementing like the others. ^^;
Also, for Stardust★Wink readers, if we are lucky, we might have two chapters for next month. One is the real chapter then the other one will be a side story that will be published in Margaret. That is because the one who gets Ribon isn’t inclined to buy Margaret, so if someone else gets it for them, we are lucky. ^^ Based on the picture in official Margaret site, the side story could be about Hinata. I’m curious what it is about. It also turns out that there is also a side story for Mashiro-Rin (Sou’s sister). While on the trip to Tokyo, Mashiro told Anna and Sou about what happened with him and Rin before..it seems like they didn’t get together because of some sort of misunderstanding and it seems that because of that, Mashiro doesn’t want Anna to make the same mistake/regret that is why he is helping her. I hope this will be scanlated in Chinese, too..but then, there’s always the English scanlation if there is no Chinese ^^

Back at the streets, Len is now walking with a bouquet of flowers. Ryoutarou asks him if it suits to give flowers to her. “The flowers are for Hino,..right.” Len didn’t reply. This made Ryoutarou shout if he cannot even say something, is he broke [/malfunctioning]. Len says that he doesn’t want to say it. Ryoutarou asks, ha? Len repeats that he originally doesn’t want to say it but he feared that if it was Ryoutarou who told Kahoko, it will really hurt her. This surprises Ryoutarou as he looks at somewhat flustered Len. Ryoutarou says that it cannot be helped since he already said it. He thinks that it is also because he gave Len added pressure. Ryoutarou asks him why he would suddenly.. Holding the bouquet tight, Len starts rambling about not wanting to confuse Kahoko and he also doesn’t know how to tell it to her gently but he knows that for him and for her, this day is crucial. He is only thinking of music and if he doesn’t do it, whether regarding music, him, or her, it feels as if he is leaving things unfinished. It is only when Ryoutarou shouts his name that Len snaps out of it. To Len’s surprise, Ryoutarou asks him if it is because he has been thinking of this confusing stuff that he came late. Ryoutarou sighs and asks Len that since it is like that, all the more should Len see the outcome of Kahoko’s performance. Ryoutarou also tells him that Kahoko isn’t that weak [since she told him she is alright] and surely, Len knows about this. From Len’s reaction, he knew. Ryoutarou makes a comment about Len being a normal person since he never thought that Len can also agonize about things and became like that. Ryoutarou somewhat laughs and says that it is good to agonize for everyone has something that they agonize about. “It seems that you have finally entered the ranks of being an ‘ordinary person’.” This made Len ask Ryoutarou if he also agonized..agonized something related to Kahoko. Ryoutarou looks at him in surprise then asks, “Ah?” Len repeats his question. Ryoutarou tensely tells him not to ask him with such a serious expression. Len asks how he should ask him then. Ryoutarou tells him that he doesn’t want to be asked. Len insists. ^^; Ryoutarou just exclaims that they don’t have much time and they should quickly leave. As Len starts to walk, Ryoutarou somewhat smiles and thinks that Len is unexpectedly.. Soon, while Len, is with Ryoutarou, waiting for the street light to turn green, Minami praises Kahoko for being great and they are now going onstage. Kahoko says yes. She looks at her violin and closes her eyes for a moment before looking up.
Hehe, I’m starting to entertain thoughts of what if those two guys didn’t make it. ^^; Is it because Len is too much of a perfect type of guy that the author isn’t drawing some sort of urgency = don’t want to make him look tired and break a sweat? Ah..I’m just basing that from the impression of the past few chapters because as I mentioned before, I didn’t read all the chapters so correct me if I’m mistaken about that. ^^;; I guess even in a hurry, one should obey traffic lights else, this might turn out to be some tragedy =P Anyway, at least Len is on his way there and he can listen to her playing after the competition..of course, it won’t be the same though. Ah, from the reactions in this chapter, it seems that Kahoko hasn’t realized that she has fallen for Len and it is the same with Len. Am I right? Someone is hiding behind the tree watching them. That someone has an afro-hairstyle with a bird on top of his head. [FF13? =P] Afro hair student then starts whining over that old woman in the parlor[?] to whom he said that he wants his hair ‘the usual’ and she ends up giving him a afro hairstyle. There is a picture of the old woman laughing while saying ‘Ryofu*’. [*Ryofu (良夫) is the invented name for this guy. It is either that or Yoshio or Nagao based on the kanji. I’m thinking that it is some sort of pun for ‘Afro’ and Ryofu seems to be the closest unless they mean some guy named Yoshio or Nagao who have afro hair. Basically, I think that’s the joke as to why the woman gave him that hairstyle =P] Somewhat long and light-haired guy laughs at Ryofu’s hairstyle and tells Hashiba [formerly Soyo; Satsuki’s bully] to look at Ryofu. Bored-looking Nagao just says, ‘ha?’ He then overhears a couple of guys saying that those three guys were the totally naked group. Hashiba looks at them that the two guys look tense since they are overheard. Hashiba is really furious over their clothes being ripped off by that strange girl. He exclaims if he sees Hirazono today, he’ll definitely go color him [black and blue] up a bit. He stops talking midway when he sees that Satsuki and Aki are already beside him and they are looking at his direction. Hashiba looks aghast and tense upon seeing Aki. Aki asks Hashiba what it is about Satsuki. Satsuki is puzzled when Aki confronts Hashiba. Aki asks tense-looking Hashiba, “Is your urinary incontinence* cured already?” [*cannot control one’s pee.] Hashiba freaks out over this. Still puzzled Satsuki calls out to Aki. Aki says that it is nothing and they should go already. After Aki and Satsuki left, Hashiba’s friend asks why he took back what he said earlier. Hashiba tensely says that it is because that guy, Aki, is there and he is the world’s hardest guy for him to deal with. His friend comments that Aki has the highest grades in their school and is the winner in an archery competition during junior high. Aki is also known for his politeness and elegance that the girls call him, ‘Breeze Prince’. Hashiba’s friend says that Aki looks weak in the aspect of fighting. Hashiba exclaims that it isn’t about being strong or weak for one cannot see how dangerous that guy is, just based on his appearance. “His appearance is a total sham! It was when I’m still in the elementary--..”
Flashback: Young Hashiba is kicking young Satsuki’s back as Satsuki is protecting Thunderbird*, the boar. [*formerly Raicho. In romanji, it is sandaabaado so I opted for the English name ^^; Satsuki has a weird naming sense ^^;;] “As usual, I made ‘thump thump’ sounds on Hirazono’s back until he cried. I was called to the gym’s warehouse by Kamina. I originally thought that if he dare meddle in other people’s business, I’m going to teach him a lesson too--..” In the warehouse, Hashiba called out to Aki. “Later on, I noticed something moving on my foot.” Hashiba freaked out because it was a snake. He tried to get out but the door won’t open because it is locked from outside. Hashiba started to bang the door in fear that he might die if the snake bit him. He is surprised when he heard Aki from outside the door asking, how much a human can endure if placed in an extreme situation. “Don’t you want to know?” Continuing to bang on the door, Hashiba shouted, “Hey! I’m really furious now, you bastard! I’ll kill you!” Aki replied back, “..I think that it is better for you to understand your current position. I’ll come back tomorrow, goodbye.” Hashiba can only shout Aki’s name as Aki left. Narration: “Gradually, the sound of footsteps faded away. Then, I felt something wet and slippery intertwining at my feet. In my utter desperation, I cannot control it anymore that I peed. *Young Hashiba is teary-eyed.* During that time, the door opened..Kamina is holding a camera which he used to take multiple photos of me.” There is a scene of Hashiba’s present friends looking shocked over this. “On the second day..my ‘lost of control’ photos are posted at the hallway that they have become the school’s center of attraction.” Hashiba was shock to see this. A boy was saying that it’s over for Hashiba and another boy is taking pictures of it using his cellphone. ^^; The girls are grossed out by it. Hashiba is then surprised to see Aki beside him. Aki is looking at the pictures and then said, “Hashiba-kun..this is such a disaster.” Weird out by Aki’s reaction, Hashiba asked, “Huh?” Aki exclaimed, “Who could have taken such photos with such an evil intention! Everyone, let’s tear down those pictures!” The girls blushed over what Aki said and thought that he is really nice and he is such a good guy. Young Satsuki even offered to help Aki. Pointing at Aki, Hashiba angrily shouted that it is Aki who posted those pictures up. Everyone didn’t believe him for how could Aki do such a thing. Flustered, Aki told the others that it is alright and he doesn’t mind being accused. Hashiba narrates, “I’ve realized that guy is a devil pretending to be an angel...later on, as revenge, I did to Hirazono what I did before, *Hashiba kicked Satsuki’s back* and Kamina would push me to fall down the well, push me down the garbage bin, and many other things [like placing a photo of Hashiba with a black ribbon around it (<- he’s dead) on his school desk, and insects? coming out his shoe locker.] End flashback.
Shaking while holding up a fist, Hashiba exclaims, “In short, he’s a really dreadful and dangerous bastard! The people around him are totally deceived by his superior [external] appearance!” Hashiba’s friends mutter that it is all Hashiba’s fault and how could he even say that. Ryofu asks the other guy, “Could it be that he won’t retaliate on Aki himself because Hashiba is afraid?” The friend gestures him to be quiet. Putting his hand on Hashiba’s shoulder, Ryofu says that it would be better for him not to tease Satsuki again and there is also that strange girl who might come out of the ground again. Hashiba is still all pumped up that he angrily shouts, “How could I lose to that dangerous guy! I’m not the same with Kamina, I will openly bully Hirazono!” Whisk, something flies by Hashiba’s face that causes a small wound on his cheek. Then, there is an arrow stuck in Ryofu’s hair. They see Aki holding a bow while standing beside a somewhat surprised Satsuki. Emitting dark aura, Aki says, “Sorry..I thought it is a target..maybe it is because a big competition is coming soon.” Pushing up his glasses, Satsuki says that what Aki said is true. Ryofu shouts, “Hey, glasses, no matter how you look at it, what he said is too far-fetched!” While Hashiba and Ryofu are fretting/fusing about, Fumikura [headphones guy] comments that those two are really idiots. He then looks at Satsuki. After a pause, he thinks, “..Forget it, anyway, it has nothing to do with me.” During math class, Satsuki kept on looking and thinking about the ring. His math teacher hits him on the head with a rolled up book and tell him not to stare off. She then gets him to answer the third question in page 43. At the restaurant where he is working, Satsuki serves seafood pasta to a customer. Seeing how the female customer cutely and happily eats the pasta in a refined manner, he remembers of Riene who tends to devour her food. Satsuki sadly thinks that he still doesn’t know if Riene has eaten something by now. On his way home, he glances at the garbage dump but Riene isn’t there. He arrives home and opens the light switch but it is still dark so he thinks that they cut off his electricity. Feeling tired, Satsuki sits on the floor and wonders if he is regretting it. “Is it because her pleading eyes are very similar with Thunderbird?”
In school, Daiki-sensei notices that his cousin, Satsuki is staring off somewhere. He puts a note on Satsuki’s desk. Satsuki opens the note and it says, “After class, see you at the usual place. *lipstick kiss on paper* Brother” Daiki goes into shock when aghast Satsuki immediately crumples the paper. At the science room, Daiki put some bread on the table and tells Satsuki that those are comfort food for him. He says that those were given by the obasan-s [grandmas] from stores and the canteen, and they even said, ‘Only for Daiki’. Somewhat blushing as he winks, Daiki adds, “The obasan-s are fighting over me, could it be that I’m, what is legendary called as, a ‘lady killer of mature women’. *Pokes Satsuki* Hehe, because I’m very popular, you’re jealous, right?” Daiki shuts up when bored Satsuki apologizes and says that he wasn’t listening. “What did you just say?” The two sit down on the chairs. Daiki coughs and then asks Satsuki if there is something troubling him. “Is it what you call troublesome? Or, is it something that makes you uneasy?” Thinking that he doesn’t trust Riene, Satsuki tells him that he has driven away a person who is bothering him yet that person has no place to go. Daiki tells him that he doesn’t know the details but rather than doing it halfway then feeling pity, he ought to do it thoroughly. He then laughs at himself for what he said seems be very teacher-like. Daiki explains to Satsuki that if someone takes in a troublesome person, there should also be some feeling of being responsible [for that person], and based on Satsuki’s circumstance, doing this would be quite difficult for him. “Although it does seem a bit fickle to just abandon that person without a care, but you shouldn’t feel guilty since that isn’t your responsibility. That is the problem of that person. If as a result, that person hates you, then one can only say that person hates the wrong person. But, if it’s your mother, maybe she’ll be a good person who’ll do it until the end.” Satsuki looks surprised then he remembered his mother. Then, Daiki puts a piece of bread in Satsuki’s mouth. Satsuki feels uneasy about that. Holding two meat buns, Daiki tells him to eat until he’s full to forget that troublesome thing. He then tries to show him that the buns look like breasts. ^^;; Satsuki sweatdrops and thinks that Daiki has his own way of being concerned but what he said is right. It will only cause more harm if he pities half-way and it will only bring him more stress. He doesn’t know what Riene is saying about him being her benefactor, and liking him. “It is right that I made her leave.”
While walking, he hears someone call him. He quickly turns around only to find an old woman carrying a huge cabinet behind her back. She asks him that she wants to inquire about where a certain place is. Satsuki ends up carrying the huge cabinet as he leads the granny to her son’s place since she plans to give that cabinet as a present. After he showed the way, the old woman carries the cabinet and goes off her way. While walking again, he remembers different expressions of Riene as he kept on telling himself that it doesn’t matter anymore since he won’t be seeing her ever again. While walking by the river, a man suddenly shouts that there is a pretty girl in the river. Satsuki quickly hoist himself up the railing to see clearly. Then, the man says that it turns out to be just a doll. The man then walks away. Satsuki didn’t notice that there is a sign that warns people not to lean on the railing. The railing gave way [or rather, it opens in the part where Satsuki is leaning on]. Satsuki loses his balance and falls down. Just as he is about to fall into the water, he suddenly sees someone above waving her huge staff. Then, Satsuki finds himself floating safely back above. After putting down Satsuki on the ground, Riene notices that Satsuki is looking at her. She quickly goes to the corner to hide then later on, peek out at him. After a pause, Satsuki calls her name. Riene is surprised and says, “Here!” She goes out and stands in front of him. She notices that it is raining. Looking up, Satsuki says, “The first time..when I met Satsuki, is also a rainy day like this...”
Why do I feel like I’m reading a shounen manga instead of a shoujo? ^^; This series really does seem like a shounen manga since there are things mentioned that I would tend to read in a shounen manga rather than a shoujo one. The jokes and situations are funny though I do feel that something is off..is it the delivery? I guess it is because the author is a new one. It does seem that the author has a thing for ‘grandmas’ in this chapter ^^;; Anyway, I find it amusing at how Satsuki’s prayer seems correct in a way wherein he is okay because through some ‘guardian angels’ around him. ^^ Aki is really a devil. What he is doing made me compare him to Akuma to Love Song’s Maria but of course, Aki does his ‘bullying’ secretly. It does make me wonder how Satsuki would react when he learns that because of what Aki is doing to Hashiba, Hashiba is getting back at Aki through him. Satsuki does seem to think of Aki quite highly that he actually believes what Aki said about the target practice ^^; It is either that or he is naive. Hashiba is really no match for Aki and maybe because he is an idiot that he is too stubborn to quit bullying Satsuki. ^^; I’m also curious as to what is Fumikura’s role. He does seem to know Satsuki..from the past, too or maybe he sees something regarding the spirit in the ring? I somewhat pity Daiki that he tends to attract grannies. ^^; For a playboy type, that isn’t really good thing. =P I guess that is why he tends to make Satsuki look bad by telling the girls about some embarrassing things about Satsuki. He is really insecure ^^; Well, I guess Satsuki cannot help but be worried about Riene because he just cannot help being good and nice. Or is it because she really reminds him of his pig before? =P I think it is nice of Riene to save him and she really does love him after the hurtful things he said before. Kaichou wa Maid-sama 53 has a couple of funny scenes as posted in 鏡花水月’s blog. They are really trying to mess up with the ninja guy =P Going for shocker through ‘BL-type scenes’ ^^;; It seems that Hinata and the three idiots are helping Misaki and Usui on this. The cliffhanger seems to be Misaki vs the ninja guy ^^; The colored page is nice, too. ^^ Vampire Knight 64 is also scanned a bit in her blog. Thanks Isilen for the link ^^ According to 鏡花水月, this is the end of the flashbacks with Yuuki waking up. In the past, Kaname is researching as to why they can regenerate. [It isn’t sure if he is researching himself or using material from others.] Then, the second part of the scans will be after that woman died. Then, there is more Hanabusa and Zero but with Kaito now. Then, a picture of Kaname making weapons and he has Artemis. 鏡花水月 said that Bloody Rose gun is also mentioned so it could be that Artemis and Bloody Rose are antique weapons. Then, he decides to be buried..alive, I guess. After darkness, Yuuki holds his finger. Then, Yuuki wakes up with a rose on her chest. In this chapter, Zero only appeared in page 4, there is hardly any whole face. It is mostly walking to something. No matter what Kaito says, Hanabusa would just look determined and say, “I absolutely will not answer.” Then, Zero only says that Sara is in the girls’ school increasing her comrades so 鏡花水月 said that is why she didn’t get much pictures of that part.
So this means that Kaname is a scientist/inventor/blacksmith =P Can we say he’s a genius type? I really wonder what he was thinking during those times when he is playing ‘student’..oh well, he doesn’t seem like he’s studying anyway ^^; Hehe, he must be always brooding before...aside from the Yuuki thing is, how bored he is =P I do think that it is a pity that those hunters didn’t know this about Kaname. I think with those kind of credentials, Kaname is more useful alive than dead. I can think of a way to make him cooperative through Yuuki through Zero. Oh well, if their new boss is the type to point his gun first and talk later, nothing much about peace will happen. In the last scene..is that a goodbye rose? You know I’m not your bro so I have no reason to stay with you or vice-versa? Nah, maybe it is you can sleep, I got things to do..hopefully it is to save Hanabusa =P With Hanabusa being tight-lipped and everything, Kaname needs to appreciate the guy more. So, for clarifications and details, just wait for the scanlation or summaries in other sites. As for La Corda d'Oro 69 shared by 雪心儿 in baidu. Kahoko is in a loss and confused-whatever. Len is still being stubborn/being difficult with. Ryoutarou went to find Len and lecture him. ^^; The result of that will be on the next chapter. It does seem the author is dragging..for chapter 70? Punishment 24: Masquerade Under the Dark Moon Under a rose bush, Yokuto is telling Kuesu that if something happens to him, it will be up to him [Kuesu]. Narration: “Snatch back.” Yokuto also said that he cannot do that because he deeply loves her. “‘Ah ah, Rose’ ‘Such an intense contradiction’--right..?” Anis[?] thinks that surprisingly the other party is such a fragile guy yet at the same time, there seems to be a thorny-like pain feeling that remains in the heart. “What’s going on again--” Anis snaps out of it when Kaede calls out her name. After Anis exclaims in surprise, Kaede says that it is because she isn’t moving that he thought what was being said has exceed her scope of comprehension. Anis angrily shouts that she isn’t that stupid and it is only at the start [of the series? that she didn’t understand]. Anis tells them that even if she is just listening to the story, it feels like she can suddenly see the scenes playing out in front of her as if she is suck/attracted into it. She is at a loss to explain it. She thinks about the castle where the Dark Stalker clan resides, ‘Kuesu’ is a younger version of the current Mutsuki, he has a brother named, ‘Yokuto’ and also his memories. Mitsuru admits that it is the same with him. He attributes it to the ‘first awakening’ as the reason that they can easily synchronize. Kaede and Seiran feel as if they are left out. Seiran says that they are only just listening. Anis asks Mutsuki to continue. Mutsuki obliges. Narration: “In the end..the Red Rose Knight and the Rose Princess of that era have executed the ‘blood marriage’.”
Flashback: There is a masquerade ball. People were talking about the ‘true rose’s seat’ has also been snatched away and the day when the ‘devil’ is returned to them is still very far away. Kuesu asked what’s going on for wasn’t the Black Rose Knight’s mission is to protect the seal. An old man [I assume] told Kuesu that Yokuto has failed so it is all up to him [Kuesu]. Narration: “After some time, that thing happened. The Yellow Rose breaking the ‘devil’s seal’, is a repulsive and ominous incident.” A lot of birds were flying around the castle. Kuesu opened a room [where the ball was held, I presume] and it is filled with bloodied corpses. Kuesu is shock to see his brother strangling and killing an old[?] man. After throwing away the dead guy, Yokuto greeted Kuesu and said that he is the last one. One of Yokuto’s eyes seems to have a crazed look to it. Narration: “He has come into contact with the ‘devil’ that has seeped out of the broken seal, and thus it made him go mad.” Yokuto laughed and shouted, “Let me finally end this contradiction..! I only have to destroy everything until practically nothing is left! No matter if it’s the Dark Stalkers or the Devil Seal or even the Rose Princess..” Kuesu is surprised and sad upon hearing that last part. He shouted his brother’s name and attacked Yokuto. Narration: “In his madness, he annihilated the whole clan. I had never thought that.. *remembering Yokuto telling him that if something happens to him, he [Kuesu] should..* That fragile and kind-hearted man. My older brother.” As a tear fall down his eye, Kuesu killed Yokuto with his bare hand. End Flashback. Mutsuki stands up and says, “My memories is until that part..Generally, afterwards, I killed Yokuto.” Anis look sad and speechless.
Mutsuki goes to the balcony door and opens it. [Note: In parenthesis () are people’s thoughts. They are in between the character’s speech ^^;] Mutsuki says, “--...That Grey Rose is no longer my [elder] brother. (only a revived physical body of a fake- is brother’s departed spirit.) *griping a fist* If he once again- carry out a massacre..” Mutsuki is surprised when Anis holds his fist and says, “But, like this, it’s really painful..” Mutsuki looks at her and asks, “Pain?” Anis touches his chest and asks, “..here, doesn’t it hurt? Right now, I’m very hurt..” Anis thinks that this is the feeling that Mutsuki felt which had passed on to her heart. Mutsuki looks surprised then he looks to the side and says that it only hurt when she touched it. Puzzled, Anis says is that so, sorry. “..Ah, Grey Rose-- I know you should settle things with your brother, (Carrying such a deeply heavy sinful past, that is your loneliness- pain,) but this time, you have everyone..so- we won’t let you taste the same kind of pain again! (No matter how much pain you’ll bear, I will also not leave [/ discard] you.) The Grey Rose is also surely, the same as you. He hasn’t totally recovered his memories--” Anis surprised when Mutsuki suddenly bends down to her and holds her hand. Mutsuki says, “Yes..but, right now- I am your Black Rose Knight. (I dedicate [my] everything to you.) Anis, ..with that, it is enough. *He kisses her hand which made Anis blush.* (Actually, I originally do not want to remember it, not one bit, if the NOW-- will gradually become mild as a consequence of it.)” Anis smiles and says, “—ya, ..thank you, Mutsuki.” Looking at the two, Mitsuru comments that based on that, Mutsuki has returned to ‘prince-dono’. Kaede is surprised-irked by that. Seiran just looks tense at Kaede [like feeling sorry for him]. Mitsuru says, “Mutsuki is the only lucky sole survivor of the Dark Stalkers’ royal clan. Speaking of that-- the conversation just now, wasn’t it mentioned? The two who first created the ‘Devil Seal’ are the first generation Rose Princess and her lover the first generation Black Rose Knight. It seems as if there is ‘fate’ between those two--” Kaede looks at Anis and Mutsuki then, he mutters, “..‘Fate’..”
Later on, Anis stretches her arms and says that she has gone through a lot today that she is tired. Mitsuru says that since it is like that, he offers Anis a specially prepared bedroom to pass the night as an honored guest. Mitsuru shows Anis a flashy room with roses as decors. Anis just says that she’s going home. Mitsuru exclaims that Anis is snubbing him yet the feeling is great. [Ah, coz he is a M? ^^;] Anis looks at Mitsuru and Mutsuki to ask if they will be going to school tomorrow. The two guys just keep quiet. [Scanlator comments that Mutsuki is actually taller than Mitsuru when they stand side by side.] Then, Mitsuru says that based on what the fake knights said that their goal is to undo the ‘Devil’s Seal’, and started to move because of that, it is necessary that they gather together in school where the seal is located but if Mutsuki goes ‘outside’, there is a risk.. Anis asks isn’t Mutsuki the Black Rose Knight. “If not all the members are together then it doesn’t have any meaning.” Mitsuru gives in as he says that if that is what the Rose Princess wishes. Anis happily thanks him and is happy to hear that. Sparkling, Mitsuru says that he is going to create a movie about Anis’ home visit as a remembrance. Anis sweatdrops and tells him that it is enough for him to just remember it in his heart[/mind]. Anis thinks that she wasn’t able to find that ‘secret door’ [in Mitsuru’s mansion] and there are a lot of things that bother her so if she has another opportunity, she’ll go back there. Anis tells Mitusu that today she disturb him [= being polite like sorry for bothering you]. Anis optimistically thinks that from that day on, everything will be as it used to be.
Outside the gate, Mutsuki puts on his coat and says that he’ll bring Anis home. Mitsuru offers his high-class limousine to bring her home. Seiren exclaims that his house is in the same direction as hers. Kaede says that it should be her house is in the same direction as his. Anis is totally tense as the guys except Mutsuki looks at her as they wait for her reply. Pointing at them, Anis says, “You guys aren’t allowed to quarrel over nonsense things!!” Flustered Mitsuru says that it isn’t nonsense, they are serious..in wanting to make a lewd wolf’s sneak attack on the way [to her house]. Walking away, Anis says, “Anyway..[if] everyone, only fights over ME-- as the ‘dominion’ and nothing more, *sticks out tongue* If it’s like that, I won’t be happy about it!” The guys frown and look a bit flustered. Waving goodbye to the guys, Anis shouts, “Princess Anis, will now dash home with all her might!! Goodbye!” Mitsuru calls out to her but she just happily says that she’ll see them at school. She thinks, “But, I really like my knights. One cannot do it alone, tomorrow, we’ll do it together!” Anis then quickly runs off. Kaede comments that Anis really ran so fast. Seiran agrees with him. He asks out loud if Anis isn’t the ‘DOMINION’ then, it isn’t possible to like her. Mitsuru asks if it is simply he just thought of it that is why he say that. Seiran says that it is because no matter what is said, they are.. Mitsuru interrupts and says, “I should have said it clearly beforehand--Blue Rose, based on the ‘Rose Contract’ we, the four Knights, are allies, -- are comrades, one day will become love rivals-- Awaiting [that time?] is hell.” Mutsuki and Seiran are just quiet. Kaede says, “..But, there should be a way to resolve it, right? If it’s Anis--!” A wind of air surrounds Kaede as well as some petals. Mitsuru says, “Kaede..you..” Kaede is then surprised as the wind and rose petals teleports him away. Mitsuru just shrugs and the expression of the others weren’t shown.
By the sidewalk, Kaede asks Anis, who is sitting down and kissing his card, as to what happened. Embarrassed, Anis says that she isn’t used to wearing high heeled shoes so after running with all her might, she twisted her ankle. Anis laments that she left in such a cool way but ended up unsightly like that. “I’m really embarrassed...so, I can only summon you.” Kaede looks surprised then he smiles. “..cannot really refuse you [since it’s you]..” Blushing Anis just scowls. Anis then asks what’s with this. While Kaede is carrying Anis piggybank style, some older people are watching them and envious of them being young. Really red-faced Anis asks if he doesn’t have any magic that he can just whisk her home. Kaede just says that he cannot [/doesn’t have that ability]. Anis says that if she knew it earlier, she would have just summoned Mitsuru or Seiran to just heal her or ask Mutsuki to fly up the sky and bring her home. She really finds this situation embarrassing. Kaede comments that even if she has him, she still won’t use him. Anis asks, “Ha?” Kaede asks, “---Even if that is so, I’ll also still your knight, right?” Anis looks surprised then she holds him tighter. Blushing, Anis says, “—of course, I know about that, because I only [have to] summon you, and you will come..” Kaede smiles over this. At some room, Schwartz is holding a rose and tells someone, “It won’t be long again, the traitor’s ‘Judas’ flower bud-- that I have prepared well, will open. It really makes one anticipate it, right? *no reaction from the other person* MY former..disciple, Narumi Itsushi.” Itsushi is somewhat scowl-sad. End narration: “Mourn[/wail]------children.”
Mutsuki’s past somewhat remind me of Naruto’s Sasuke but of course, in this case, Mutsuki has found something or rather someone to live for the future hence, he was able to move on. I really think that the two guys who are really contending for Anis are Mutsuki and Kaede. My choice is between those two =P I think the author is implying something since this arc ends with Anis together with Kaede. Hehe, so, the ‘friend’ suitor gets to go home with the princess. =P It shows that Kaede is still someone special to Anis. Someone reliable and whom she can show her ‘not so cool’ side? From Kaede’s reaction, I guess for now, he is okay with things like that. He also does seem to have a lot of faith and trust in Anis. Well, that is what Mikage is planning to use to hurt Anis. Also, it does seem that Mutsuki is a bit apathetic or rather lacking in emotions that it is hard to guess if he is jealous when Anis is with the other guys or she summoned Kaede. Is it that or he is okay if Anis doesn’t end up with him because he probably unconsciously doesn’t want to end up like his brother? I wonder if the traitor whom Schwartz is implying is Itsushi or someone else? If it’s Itsushi, I think it doesn’t have much impact since their relationship isn’t really that deep as in contrast if the traitor is one of Anis’ knights. Hm..does this mean that Itsushi is one of the fake roses? So, all those info that Itsushi is telling Anis is from Schwartz? It will be interesting if one of that information he gave earlier is actually a lie. If that is so, I wonder which it is.
Punishment 25: A DAY IN THE GIRL’S LIFE Narration: “Good morning, everyone. Ever since I have encountered an incredible incident, I have become ‘Rose Princess’s Yamamoto Anis.” In her apartment, Anis is busy brushing her hair to fix her bed hair. And, finally, she got her hair fixed. With a smile, she thinks, “—but, no matter how other’s call me, I am me! I have gradually understood things regarding the secret of the ‘Devil’s Seal’, facts and the past of the knights, but the thing that I have to do hasn’t changed. That is to collect the Arcana cards to stabilize the Devil’s Seal then give the Rose Knights bounded by the Rose Contract freedom from their tragic fate. [referring to Seiran and Mutsuki since their pictures are shown] That is something that I, as the Rose Princess, can do.” Anis’ cellphone rings. Anis wonders why Mitsuru would send her a text message so early in the morning. Mitsuru wrote that there is an urgent situation and could Anis please use her card to summon him. Thinking that something troublesome had happened, Anis takes out her white card and kisses it to summon White Rose Knight – Tenjoh-sempai. Mitsuru appears and greets Anis a good morning. Anis asks him what happened. Mitsuru starts his usual speech of wanting to see Anis’ brilliance which is like the sun to sting his eyes in pain and be deeply branded in his eyes that he’ll forever be in a deep sleep. Aghast Anis wonders if the urgent situation is to make her feel uncomfortable. Anis darkly asks what’s so urgent about that.
Looking towards the balcony, Mitsuru says that it is very urgent because he wants to be the first to come and see Anis. “Before that guy arrives!” The balcony door slams open and Mutsuki has arrived. Mutsuki says, “Anis..I came to fetch you.” Flustered and angry, Anis points at Mutsuki/the two and shouts, “Do not come in from the balcony!” Mitsuru brags, “I’m the first to come, Mutsuki. This is an intellectual competition.” Mutsuki is not happy [not sure if it is because of what Anis said, or Mitsuru said or both ^^;]. Anis shouts, “You guys aren’t permitted to compete over strange things-! Speaking of that, even if you guys are ‘knights’, you cannot just casually go in a girl’s room..!” Inside the room, Seiran happily greets Anis a good morning. Holding out a bento box filled with breakfast food goodies like pancakes, sandwiches, etc, Seiran says that he wasn’t careful and made a lot this morning so he would want to share some to her. Anis is half-reprimanding Seiran as to when was he standing there and half-praising that the food looks delicious. Mitsuru comments that when Anis is enticed by food, her tsukkomi* becomes out of line. [*Tsukkomi is the "straight" or deliberately unfunny partner in a two-man manzai comedy routine. Also, the verbal or physical reprimand he administers to his partner, the boke, the stupid/deliberately ignorant one. Source: ANN] The door opens and Kaede is telling Anis that he just happens to be nearby so he passes by.. He then looks surprised and shouts, “Why are you guys inside Anis’ room?!” Anis gloomily sighs and says, “You’re the same. Don’t just casually come in..”
At school, everyone is blushing as they look at Anis’ direction. Anis’ two friends greet Anis a good morning and ask her what’s going on. Anis blushes and thinks, “Eh- why is it like this?” The four guys went to school with her. Narration: “They are my Rose Knights –but then, how can I explain it--!!!” Blushing, Anis asks why it became like that and it is so embarrassing. Seiran explains that the situation is dangerous because their enemies are coming out more often. The knights have decided to protect Anis but they cannot decide as to who’ll be tasked to become her escort/guard so they all decide that they all do it. ♡ Blushing Anis thinks, “But..it’s attracting too much attention--!!” As everyone are looking at them, Anis walks stiffly side by side the other guys except for Mutsuki who is walking behind them. The girls start to whisper as to who that guy, walking behind Tenjoh-sempai, is. They say that he is the second year’s Kurama who has a scary rumor before. They start talking about the rumors about Mutsuki who can curse by just a look in his eyes, leader of some gang, and Akihabara’s [otaku] etc. They comment that if they look at Mutsuki carefully, he is actually very handsome that it seems that he is nice. Anis is surprise that from those scary rumors, Mutsuki has suddenly become popular. Mitsuru muses, “Ah-- the rumors have changed again..I guess I have to create, from behind again, a stronger and advantageous [to me] rumor.” Anis turns around to face Mitsuru and asks, “Could it be..that the one who is spreading the ‘Mutsuki is scary’ rumors is..” Sparkling, Mitsuru admits, “Yes, it is me.” Anis is extremely shock as she asks how he could do that and why. Mitsuru says that he had asked his followers to do their best in spreading the rumors. “Because, I hate [it when] people surrounds Mutsuki.”
Anis angrily shouts that it is bullying Mutsuki and that isn’t good. With a sparkle in his eye, Mitsuru says, “Wrong, for me, Mutsuki is beep, beep, beep [censored] ‘make use of’ relationship.” [Sorry, not to sure but I think it is what Mitsuru has been doing to Mutsuki.] Covering her ears, Anis says that she doesn’t want to hear it. Turning to Mutsuki, Anis shouts, “You, too, Mutsuki! Is it okay to always let Tenjoh-sempai do as he pleases? It would be alright if you just sternly object!” Mutsuki replies, “—it doesn’t matter. *slightly smiles* Because he is very lonely, just let him think what he wants.” Mitsuru says, “..Mutsuki..wait and I’m make you remember this [/get back on you for this] *pop vein* that [answer] really puts me in a bad mood.” Narration: “Mutsuki, quickly run away, Mutsuki--!!” Mutsuki just sighs. Seiran glances at them and says with a smile, “..I..until now..have misunderstood it..Tenjoh-sempai and Mutsuki..are actually very good FRIENDS!” That shocks the two guys. Seiran happily says that it is because they are true friends, and that is the reason why, what the other does, doesn’t matter at all. Holding Seiran’s head, Kaede says that it isn’t, he [Kaede] feels that it isn’t exactly like that. Anis points at Mitsuru and says that he has become stiff. Narration: “Let me explain it clearly! If Tenjoh Mitsuru is being told that he is friends with Kuruma Mutsuki..he will freeze up in a flash for 46 seconds!” Anis wonders who is talking and says, “Could it be that this is his weakness...?” The girls then went crazy as they can no longer hold it in. They mob the guys. They say that Mitsuru is like some Olympus’ statue and also go talk with cute Seiran and Mutsuki. Anis is tossed around in the crowd of girls.
The school bell is ringing. Anis remembers that she is on duty today. Anis tries to counterflow the girls as she tries to tell them to let her pass and she’ll be in trouble if she doesn’t hurry. She then notices that someone is holding her hand. It is Kaede who help her get out from the crowd of girls. He asks her if she is alright. “Weren’t you in a hurry? --let's quickly go.” Anis looks at him and says, ya. Kaede tells her that they are going on a detour through that shortcut. [It is through an alley behind the school buildings.] Anis says, ya, again. Walking together, Anis thinks, “Kaede, it is already alright. Why aren’t you letting go of my hand?” Anis tells Kaede that she cannot go to school together with everyone since it embarrasses her that they attract too much attention. She also thinks that it is inconvenient for them. [ <- doesn’t want to bother them.] Kaede asks, “If you have me then it is enough, right?” Anis asks, “Huh?” Kaede turns around to face her and says, “Consider it as a escort..type, okay? Ah..in short, say that it is enough that you only have me, ..if it isn’t like that, I--..” Anis’ eyes widen in surprise as she calls out his name. She thinks, “Do not look at me with that kind of eyes. I and Kaede are Dominion and Rose Knight--only that kind of relationship, right?” Holding Anis’ hand, Kaede says, “Anis..” They were interrupted by Idel who calls out to her and asks what she is doing. Idel smiles and greets them. He says that it seems that he has interrupted them. [There is the word ‘believe committed’ and according to the scanlator, Idel basically interrupted them deliberately.] Anis protests that he didn’t interrupt anything. She asks where his partner is. Looking somewhat listless, Idel says that Yakoh isn’t feeling well. “Anis, let me tell you...” Anis asks what. Just then, behind Anis, Schwartz is walking with Itsushi at the roofed outdoor hallway. Idel then excuses himself by saying that he has some business with Schwartz. Idel runs towards Schwartz. Anis remembers that she is in a hurry, too. Anis glances back at Idel who is talking with Schwartz. She thinks that lately, she hasn’t seen her father in the clinic but right now, he suddenly reappeared, it’s really strange. She then wonders why Itsushi is with her father.
Then, in the classroom, Anis is standing by the door while giving out some forms to the students who were coming in. Standing at the hallway by the window where he can see Anis, Kaede sighs. Mikage greets Kaede and asks why he is sighing. Kaede says that it is nothing. Mikage says if that is so, then he should cheer up. Kaede then asks, “What were you doing last night?” Kaede turns to look at him and says, “Last night? I should be taking a walk--? Do you also want to walk with me?” Kaede answers, “Can you not do that kind of thing again...” Mikage says, “Because you are ‘Anis’ –reason, ..but, just now I saw you guys enter the school’s gate. It seems that Anis doesn’t have only you. [= she has others.]” Kaede says that it doesn’t matter for he doesn’t mind. Mikage says, “Liar.” After a pause, Kaede replies back, “You’re the one [who’s a liar]. Do not deceive Anis. –This title of mine as ‘Rose Knight’ isn’t what you’ll call fake. Compared to the other knights, I came into contact with you a lot more times. Last night, that sweet smell and the way you called me *A scene of Ella whispering to Kaede, “Kaede-kun, can you be the one who’ll give this gift to Anis for me?”*, has already made me totally know everything. You, are Cinderella-- 'Ella’, right?” Mikage shows her scornful expression and says, “Do that use the word ‘smell’ for girls, it is more correct to say fragrance, right?” While Anis is erasing the blackboard, she sees Mikage with Kaede. She thinks that their expression looks really serious and what could they be talking about. Anis blushes and thinks, “Could it be, a confession.. Ah, no, why am I nervous? It isn’t my business that Mikage is confessing to Kaede..!” Blushing Anis is hitting the eraser on the board while trying to write something with a chalk. “I and Kaede are--...” A student tells Anis that she will become white [from chalk dust] if she kept on doing that.
Back to the other two, someone asks, “Are you threatening me?” [I’m not sure which one said that ^^;] Kaede says, “I accept the challenge with you as the enemy. I only want for you to never appear in school again or even appear in front of Anis. ..Before, that girl was also deceived by a ‘friend’ [Haruto] ..no matter what she says, I think she is definitely very angry [then]..and also very hurt.. That kind of feeling, I do not want that girl to feel that again, I-- (want to protect her heart.)” There is a scene of Anis happily smiling. Mikage declares, “I don’t want to. No! I want to go to ‘school’! I want to see Anis! I don’t want to!” Somewhat puzzled, Kaede says, “You..really..” Looking serious at Kaede, Mikage says, “Isn’t it okay to just keep this thing about friend ‘Mikage’ is fake Dominion ‘Ella’ a secret from Anis? (I really want) Just with you, Kaede-kun, in order not to expose this, I’ll make an agreement with you. (I really want, really want you. If I can totally take away part of that feeling, won’t I become you? Anis.) You only have to become mine.” Mikage then reaches her hand out to Kaede. At this moment, Anis decides to take a peek at the two. She looks surprised to see that Mikage has grabbed Kaede and kissed him on the lips. Anis drops her chalk. Narration: “I and Kaede are-- Dominion and Rose Knight, just this and nothing more.”
Ah..does this mean that Kaede is out of the race for Anis? Kaede has really put himself in such a problematic situation. So, the reason why he didn’t tell Anis about who Ella really is, is because he doesn’t want Anis to be hurt again. I don’t think that Ella is really a close friend like Haruto for Anis to be hurt as Kaede assumed she will be. I think it is better for Anis to know than to hide it, thus it making Anis clueless about dealing with her enemy who is pretending to be a friend. I think Kaede should prioritize physical danger than emotional hurt. ^^; Anis seems to be a strong girl so I don’t think she will be that depressed or anything. Is Kaede just being too over protective? If he cannot tell Anis, why not tell the other knights so that they can protect Anis better? Is it because he doesn’t trust them or somehow feels that one of them might make a slip of the tongue? So now, Mikage kissed Kaede in front of Anis. Kaede might not be easily believed if he tells Anis or the others that Mikage is Ella. Anis might even think he is mean if he starts avoiding Mikage or treating her badly. Mikage seems like an actress to me so she can easily manipulate Kaede or Anis. She is indeed using Kaede’s possessiveness/jealousy for Anis and his feeling of urgency that the two other guys had beaten him to the ‘awakening’. I wonder if it hasn’t occurred to Kaede of the possibility that he might be used by Mikage to hurt Anis. Well, it might not be obvious before but surely, he would know now. Ah..poor Kaede, he got himself entangled with a crazy girl ^^;; Too bad his confession got interrupted and Anis wasn’t able to guess what he really wanted to say. Based on the blurb that after seeing that shocking scene, Anis and Kaede’s relationship has start to change so I guess things might turn ugly. It will indeed be awkward. I wonder if Kaede will know that Anis has seen them. Ah..it can also make Anis realize that she actually likes Kaede if she does like him. ^^;; Hm..is Kaede the traitor Schwartz is referring to or someone else? Hm..since Kaede seems to be the focus of this arc, will he finally get his awakening soon? The first part of the chapter is pretty funny. Hehe, the guys are really busy courting Anis and much to her dismay, they really got too familiar with her that they are ‘charging’ into her room. =P Hehe, I find Mitsuru’s weakness amusing. Well, if it is indeed as Seiran thinks, they do seem like good friends in a twisted way. =P

Synopsis is out in baidu. I’ll be using 大豆最高’s Chinese translation. The ones in parenthesis are the comments of 大豆最高. General content: Ren says that he doesn’t need a protective charm because if Kyouko is beside him, he will only forget what he doesn’t want to forget as long as he lives. Lory asks Ren whether or not, he is afraid and if he feels that if Ren can say these hurtful words to his ‘younger sister’, then Ren should face his ‘sister’ and say, “As far as I’m concerned, I feel that you have no value whatsoever, so don’t come back again.” Anyway, Lory himself feels that Ren needs a protective charm. When Ren meets up with Yashiro, at first, Ren thought that Yashiro is going to tease him but on the contrary, Yashiro sympathizes with him. Yashiro made Ren treat this young sister thing as something he ought to properly think of how not to create mental? harm [or something like not to made her sad]. Later on, Ren start to agonize in fear about making the girl hate him. He is also afraid that next time he attacks someone, the girl won’t be able to stop him. Next, Kyouko is filming Box-R. Kyouko has let the feeling of ‘Setsuka’ to affect ‘Natsu-chan’. Kyouko is totally shock that she cannot jump from one role to the other. Then, during filming, Kyouko choose an undergarment that suits ‘Setsuka’. Chiori never thought that Kyouko would wear a carnivorous girl type of underwear. (Do not ask me what’s a carnivorous girl type, anyway, it’s a Setsuka type of girl) [<- man-eater is the proper term, I think. Thanks Secret ^^]. Later on, Kyouko seems to be half-heartedly sending someone off. Then, Chiori has started to be confused that she is a newbie because outside, no one recognizes her. (blame that it is a small capital/role but next time, will go up [= she has a small role but next time, it will be bigger?]) Lastly, Kyouko heard (generally it’s Chiori or maybe someone else) something like “Won't die butterfly [literal] (fairy)”. This made Kyouko really excited “where, where” (can understand can understand [the feeling]) and she looks everywhere. In the end, from the group of people who are screaming, Kyouko sees Tsuruga going down from a vehicle that had stopped. Next chapter will be out on Sept 4th. I think it could be a pun or something that is why Kyouko misheard it but the coincidence is really nice. ^^ Well, the author is really going for fairies and Ren’s past this time around so I think it will be a matter of time when Kyouko learns who Ren really is ^^ As usual, just wait for the scanlations for clarifications and details. =P Scans by 欣子-凡 for BW动漫工作室制作.

At home, someone shouts that it is really lucky [that Nanpa is alright]. Hanabi’s mother tells Hanabi that she will bear the responsibility tonight so Hanabi will sleep together with Nanpa. “If there is anything that happens, you should quickly wake me up.” Sitting on her futon, Hanabi says okay. Hanabi tells Nanpa that he is very lucky. “Sorry, you weren’t feeling well then, right?” Nanpa ‘says’ that thing is quite hard. Hanabi asks, “..you ate that thing, is it because you saw me crying over Uno Chikai? Is it because that it is given to me by Uno Chikai?” Nanpa happily looks at Hanabi. Hanabi then laughs in disbelief that it is impossible and how could Nanpa understand about that thing. She then remembers that dog wood thing that Chikai gave her including his/her reactions at that time. Teary-eyed and flustered, Hanabi tells surprised Nanpa that she is going to criticize him this once so forgive her. “Stupid Nanpa!” Nanpa narrates: “Why? Isn’t it better if that thing is gone? Weren’t you very sad then? Weren’t you very hurt then?” Hanabi looks at her cellphone. She wonders why Chikai called, what he will think since she didn’t answer it and he’ll definitely misunderstand. “Should I call back? Send him an email? No! No no! If he knew, that he was the one who made that toy, he might feel that he is to blame. And, if there is something that he would want to say, isn’t it better for him to just call me again! I won’t take the initiative..don’t think that because I’m Hanakou, that I’ll like to go one-sidedly chase after you--!” Hanabi shouts, good night and promptly pulls the blanket over her head. Nanpa looks at her and narrates, “It was only later on when I find out. I ate that wood thing in order to remove Hanabi’s pain but it caused an uproar and at the same time, it also hindered her and Chikai-kun’s happiness.” Nanpa whimpers and thinks, geez. Hanabi’s narration: “On the second day, and the second day of the second day, all that time, I wasn’t able receive any contact from Uno Chikai.” At the park, Atsumi apologizes to Sasa for calling him out to meet her. All prettily dressed up, Atsumi holds a small bag to Sasa and greets him a happy birthday. “Also, ‘I wish on Sasa-kun’s 16th birthday that you’ll only be filled with happy’. [That is not a typo, the ‘happy’ is wrote in English] Sasa looks surprised. After giving the gift, Atsumi bids him goodbye. This puzzles Sasa that he asks if she is already leaving. Atsumi exclaims that it is because right now, she still cannot stand beside him. Inside the bag, it seems like a dessert with a heart shape thing and words ‘Happy 16’ on top. Narration: “Spring. There are already flowers blooming and also flowers that are not blooming. Everyday, as I check my cellphone numerous times, but there is no slight amount of Uno Chikai’s breath. This had made me realize that if I do not work hard, nothing will blossom.”
In school, Hanabi gloomily mutters, “Spring..but [we are] already preparing for autumn’s Nanayo festival, then winter is also not far off..” A girl says that it is still spring so what is Hanabi talking about. Atsumi tells the girl that Hanabi has always been like that lately. She asks Hanabi that won’t it be okay for her to just email [Chikai]. Hanabi gloomily says that she’s always thinking what if Chikai has changed his email address. Surprised, Atsumi says that is impossible then how about calling him on his phone. Hanabi gloomily says that she is always thinking what if he refuses to answer her phone call. Atsumi remarks that Hanabi really doesn’t have any self-confidence. Hanabi exclaims that she really doesn’t have. This somewhat surprises Atsumi. Hanabi sadly says, “I don’t have.” Hanabi is puzzled when Atsumi also says that she doesn’t have it either. Kareshi says that she also doesn’t have confidence about the future. Mii says, “I have confidence. I believe that I’ll forever won’t feel that glasses [= Shinichi] is handsome.” The others just laugh. Narration: “Even if it is this way, I’m still..pray that the flowers can bloom. I know that one must pour water on the flowers for them to bloom. If one only just opens one’s eyes and look, then the flowers won’t open.” Walking at the hallway, Hanabi sees Chikai walking towards her. Chikai just looks at her. Hanabi closes her eyes and looks away. She then slowly opens her eyes again. Chikai is surprised when flustered Hanabi looks determined as she faces him. Hanabi walks toward him and when she passes by Chikai, Chikai says, “Hanabi...” This made Hanabi stop and turn around to face Chikai. [Reminder: ‘Hanabi’ means fireworks in Japanese.] Chikai continues, “..display’s season will soon be here.” Hanabi exclaims that isn’t true for it is still too early for summer. “..you said! Name..” Hanabi blushes even redder as she thinks, “He called out Hanabi..” She suddenly freaks out when she bumps into a guy who says that it hurts. Hanabi shouts her apology. Chikai suddenly put his arm around her head and turns to the other guy to say, “Sorry, sempai ♡” Hanabi wonders, “Was he calling me?” While Chikai is pulling her away backwards, Hanabi exclaims, “Let me go! I’m going to bite you!” Chikai asks her why she hung up his phone call. Surprised, Hanabi exclaims that it is because she is busy looking after Nanpa. Chikai asks what happened to Nanpa. Remembering the wooden dog toy, Hanabi looks tense as she says, “-I..” She immediately frees herself from Chikai and shouts, “I don’t have any obligation to tell you!” Hanabi becomes tenser as she thinks that she went over the top by saying that. She tells him, “Because..you guys have started seeing each other again, right? *closes her eyes* You have chosen ‘Yukine’, right?” Chikai replies, “Wrong.” Hanabi opens her eyes and looks at Chikai. Chikai continues to say, “Didn’t meet. It’s not Yukine.” Hanabi looks at him in surprise as the school bell rings. She looks away as Chikai walks away. Hanabi wonders, “What does he mean..”
While washing plates, Gen asks Ami what she will do if she has a love rival. Gen is speechless when she says, “Knock [the rival] down.” She looks at him and asks, “..Do I have one? Love rival.” Gen looks back at her and then says, “So-called having a love rival is the other person whom one is fighting against, not knowing whom one will belong to, there is this uncertainty. That is what’s called as having a love rival.” Ami says that it seems to be just a small annoyance. Ami asks, “Speaking of that, you didn’t falter, right?” Gen smiles and says that he doesn’t have charm, he has self-knowledge. Ami says, “How can that be. But, as an adult, having peace of mind is where happiness lies. ..if there is really no possibility of faltering, then you should properly face that person and make that person thoroughly give up.” Gen looks at her then hugs her head tight. He happily says, “I will make that person give up! Ami!” At Kareshi’s house, Kareshi’s siblings have taken Masato’s eyeglasses and one of them wears it. Masato shouts for them to quickly give his glasses back for that is his treasure. After Masato got it back, Kareshi’s younger brother tells his sister Rino that Masato’s glasses doesn’t suit his face. Kareshi calls out to Masato. She is holding a box that is on the table and says, “This is..” Masato apologizes and says that is a present his mother made him bring. Kareshi’s mother thanks him for he always bringing something and it has been a big help to them. Masato says that it is nothing for they have a lot of excess things since his family is small. The kids approach Kareshi and asks what it is, can it be eaten. The box contains some containers of cooking oil. Masato just laughs when Kareshi asks, wasn’t it too heavy since he brought it from school. Kareshi’s siblings laments how boring since it isn’t a snack. Kareshi tells them not to say that because with that oil, they can make deep-fried prawns.
Kareshi’s mother smiles and says that this is truly embarrassing that because of their family’s situation, they would always receive things from him. Masato protests that it isn’t so and actually, he always received happiness from everyone and from Kareshi. Masato bends on his knees and says, “..Kareshi..before I proposed to you, and you said I’m naive, perhaps that is true in a way, because marriage isn’t just our [the two of us] problem. Then, even if it is like that, if it’s a marriage wherein [my] family and [your] family are combined, then will you still say that I’m naive? We can mutually use each other’s strengths to make up for the other’s weakness.” Kareshi answers, “..let me, think about it a bit.” Masato says, “Ah? Doesn’t it feel like deja vu?” Narration: “What does it mean? ‘Wrong. Didn’t meet. It’s not Yukine’ No, I know the meaning.” At school, Atsumi tells Hanabi that she is going to finish what she’s doing before going home. Hanabi wishes her gambatte and says that she’s going ahead. Walking at the small forested path, Hanabi thinks, “I know the meaning of the words..but Uno Chikai’s heart..” Hanabi sees Chikai sitting down at the side of the path. He angrily complains why she is so late. Hanabi blushes and says that she is doing some school work. “Speaking of that, we also didn’t have any agreement [to meet]. ..We obviously have no agreement, why did you wait for a long time.” Chikai looks at her then he stands up. He says, “If the dog is missing, then one will wait for it to come back.” Hanabi shouts, “You should go look for it!” Hanabi thinks, “What’s up, really cunning, it’s bewildering.” While Chikai is walking ahead, Hanabi asks, “..if it isn’t ‘Yukine’ then who else is it? Who is it? Who?” Without looking back, Chikai says, “[The one] I chose is I-sama.” [Ah, it is like ‘me’ then suffix –sama; as expected of a guy with a huge ego/narcissist tendencies =P ] Hanabi just thinks, “That’s also true.” Looking away, flustered Hanabi exclaims, “Forget it! What the..” She is surprised when Chikai continues to say, “..but I-sama, has chosen you.”
And yes, it is finally and truly spring for Hanabi. I guess a congratulation is in order after everything that Hanabi has gone through and finally, Chikai has indeed and confirmed to her that he has chosen her. I think that is enough to weaken Hanabi’s knees and for her melt into a puddle. Chikai has indeed fallen out of love for Yukine and too bad for Yukine, she has changed too late. I begin to think that Chikai helped Yukine and visited her house is all because of Yukine’s mother. It really does seem that he is weak against ‘mother-types’. Is he a mama’s boy or something? Well, contrary to Hanabi’s insecurity that she isn’t as pretty as Yukine, it isn’t about physical appearance for Chikai. Hehe, probably for him, being beautiful himself is enough =P Also, if I really think about it, Hanabi does seem like a ‘mother-type’ since she has been cooking for him, spoiling him, etc. I like what the author did wherein she doesn’t have to create a love rival for Hanabi so that Chikai would go ‘chase’ after Hanabi. Somehow, I wonder if this series is ending soon or not since everything seems to be okay but I hope that the author could at least end it with Kareshi-Masato wedding ^^ Kareshi is still hesitant yet contrary to what I thought, it seems that Masato’s mother is okay with Kareshi and her family that she would make Masato bring a present. Is the father okay with Kareshi, too? I’m sure that the author is going for ‘third time is the charm’ when Masato gets to finally hear the ‘yes’ from Kareshi. I guess Kareshi doesn’t want to be too dependent on Masato and well, she is probably not ready if people would say that she is ‘using’ Masato because of her family situation. That is the reason that I can think of as to why she is hesitant in marrying Masato if both families are okay with it. Well, there is finally a bit of Ami x Gen scene but it is more on ‘lecturing’ about love. Lastly, Atsumi really looks nice and hopefully, Sasa would fall for her soon. ^^ Scans by 玉/wdsjznl for BW.

Nanoka continues, “Later on, even if Nagase-kun has started to find new love in order to forget [Aya], he would unconsciously overlap any other long haired girl with Aya-chan...” Anna looks tense-sad. She then asks, “You’re lying, right?” Nanoka accuses Anna of being cruel for saying that. “Do I look like a person who’ll tell a lie?! *She falls on the floor and starts crying out loud* It’s because it’s you that is why I told you~~~” Embarrassed by the racket that Nanoka is making, Anna apologizes and exclaims that it is because it is too sudden. “I believe!! I believe!! So, stop crying!” Anna begins to wonder out loud that Sou and Aya does seem to have a bit of resemblance and before, she saw a long haired girl in Sou’s room. “Also, if Sou have always liked me then it is also quite strange for him to go steady with some other girls.” Anna thinks that everything seems to have a connection now and even if it is unbelievable but there is a possibility that Sou really had this kind of difficult love affair [with Aya]. “That is quite tragic--(cry)” Holding Nanoka’s hands, Anna exclaims that she will help her. Nanoka asks if that is true, then she’s delighted to hear that. Anna exclaims, “If there is anything that I can help, do not hesitate to ask!! We should give our support to those two who have suffered a lot over this forbidden love!!” The school bell is already ringing so Nanoka tells Aya that they discuss the battle plan after school dismissal at the clubroom. Anna says okay then she walks away to prepare for class. Looking a bit surprised, Nanoka looks at Anna then, she giggles. At the clubroom, Nanoka is talking with Anna. Standing by the window, Rui asks Princess what those two are up to. Princess says that she heard them just now about saying, ‘lost twin’, ‘forbidden love’ and ‘Sou and Ayane’ so basically, it is a thorny subject. Nanoka tells Anna that she thinks that Nagase-kun has not noticed his feelings and he had unconsciously overlapped Anna with Aya-chan. Anna agree that it is definitely that. Nanoka exclaims, “So the first mission is ‘make Sou become conscious that the person he likes is Aya-chan’!! This is a mission that no other person but Anna can accomplish!!” Anna exclaims, “Okay-gambatte!!” Rui darkly says that she cannot take it anymore because she cannot discern which one is the tsukkomi [The "straight" or deliberately unfunny partner in a two-man manzai comedy routine. Also, the verbal or physical reprimand he administers to his partner, the boke, the stupid/deliberately ignorant one. Source: ANN] She tells Princess that they should go home and that also seems to be quite troublesome. Princess agrees with her.
Aya suddenly arrives in the clubroom and greets everyone a good afternoon. Nanoka happily greets Aya back. Aya asks if Rui and Princess are going home. Rui says that they are because they originally aren’t that enthusiastic [about the club]. After they bid goodbye and left, Aya comments that Anna is staying. Raising up her arm, Anna happily says that she’s quite enthusiastic (different meaning) [= not the club]. Aya happily says that the truth is yesterday, she isn’t that enthusiastic either but after listening to what the adviser said, she started to find the club a bit interesting and afterwards, she finds it really interesting. Blushing a bit, Anna just says yes. Anna thinks that Aya is really such a beautiful girl and she is such a nice person for befriending and talking someone like her [Anna] who rarely get to stay close with a beautiful person [ah, girls, I presume because she has good looking guys =P ] but why did God gave her [Aya] such an awful fate. Aya then asks why Anna is teary-eyed. Chiaki-sensei arrives and happily greets everyone. She then wonders why there are only three people. Nanoka tells her that two members decided to become ghost members. Chiaki is shock to hear that but she says that it cannot be helped if there are only three people. [= being positive] She asks them to take out their cellphones. Anna is in deep thought on how to make Sou realize his true feelings and what she should say. Aya asks Chiaki if it is okay to bring out their cellphones while in school. Chiaki says that it is only this one time and everyone’s cellphones ought to have a camera feature. She believes that beginners ought to learn from the camera that they have closest to them. While they are busy checking their ellphones, Anna shouts, “Ayane! Look here!!” Ayane turns around and Anna takes her picture on her cellphone. Aya and Nanoka asks what’s she is doing. Anna just says that even in the picture, Aya looks good. Later that night, ding-dong, ding-dong, ding-dong..the doorbell rings at Sou’s place. Anna calls out to Sou. Sou opens the door and tells her not to ring the bell again since it is too noisy. Anna happily says, “I’m sharing to you some appetizers for dinner ♪ Sorry~for~intruding.” Sou is puzzled and asks if she wants to come in. Anna happily says yes because there is something she wants to ask him. With folded arms, Sou suspiciously asks what it is and what is she planning. Anna angrily asks what’s with that question for it makes her angry. Anna thinks that if Sou really likes her, he should act a bit more tense/nervous. At the dining table, Sou prepares to eat the food that Anna brought. Anna sits on the chair across him. Anna informs him that she got in the photography club. Sou just says, ‘hm’ as he eats. Anna tells him that afterwards, they started taking pictures today. “Come and look ♪” Anna shows him a picture of Aya on her cellphone. While he is saying about how could the photography club use a cellphone to take pictures, Sou tries to look at the picture [his eyesight is slightly bad so it’s taking time] and stops what he is saying. Anna happily says, “Let me hear your thoughts ♥” Sou asks, “Are you trying to make me angry?”
Surprised, Anna nervously says that isn’t what she meant. Aghast Sou shouts, “Then, why is it that you are doing such a bewildering thing! Don’t do this kind of thing that could make the appetizer hard to eat! You really don’t know what it means to be shy.” Anna thinks that he is so angry and perhaps, she is too naive for Sou doesn’t want to touch that forbidden topic about Ayane. She had thought that she can bring up the topic by showing the picture to him. Somewhat sad, Anna apologizes and says that she doesn’t want to make him angry. This surprises Sou. Looking at the side, he scowls and looks tense [for making Anna sad]. Sou sighs and tells Anna to forget about that. “What? From whom did you hear about Ayane? Don’t mind it. Anyway, it’s all in the past. It is only coincidentally that we study in the same school. There’s already nothing that ought to be talked about.” Anna exclaims, “How can that be..do you think that this is alright?!” Surprised, Sou asks what. Anna shouts that he obviously likes long haired [girls] like her. Sou is weird out over what Anna is talking about. Anna sadly says, “If I cut my hair short, Sou’s feelings for me will definitely turn cold. Sou should clearly understand this, right?” Sou says, “No~~it doesn’t matter if it’s only the hairstyle..” Holding her hair, Anna shouts, “Then, it is alright if I cut my hair short?!” Sou looks stunned then scowling, he says if she can, please keep her hair long. Anna looks shock and thinks, “As expected!” Sou asks that from what they were talking from the start, how come the hair got involved in the topic although he feels that Anna doesn’t seem to really want to talk about hair. Anna shouts at Sou, “Sou, it is better for you to be more honest with yourself! Falling in love with someone is something that one cannot do anything about! I’ll stand by your side!! That’s it, goodbye!!” As Anna leaves, Sou asks out loud why she came there for and what the heck she is talking about. At the school’s roof, Anna goes to report to Nanoka that she feels Sou knows about the fact that ‘he likes Ayane’. Nanoka is surprised and asks if that’s true. Anna adds, but she thinks that Sou won’t honestly admit it and he even told her he won’t talk about Ayane ever again. Anna sadly says, “As expected, if she is his younger sister then..” Anna stops when she hears some sound. She looks up and sees Nanoka on all fours on the floor. Anna asks why Nanoka is laughing. Nanoka immediately put on her worried face and apologizes. She tells Anna to continue. Anna says that she thinks that the two of them [Sou and Ayane] should meet and talk. “Seeing each other will definitely make Sou not repress his feelings. He’ll definitely become more honest!! Because their feelings are mutual.” Nanoka winks and happily says that is right and that is what she is thinking. “Then, it’s decided. The next mission is to ‘get the two to go out on a date’.” Anna approves of the idea. Nanoka says the problem is Nagase-kun. She says that if she asks Aya about it, Aya will definitely say, ‘I’ll go’ but Nagase-kun will refuse. He easily falls in love and out of it by just saying ‘let’s break up’. Anna is speechless and in her want to help, Anna exclaims for Nanoka to relax and she’ll go convince Sou. Nanoka delightedly calls out to Anna that is what she’s waiting for Anna to say. Anna shouts, “Leave it up to me.” Nanoka exclaims, “Thank you very much!! But, there is something that I would want you to pay attention to!!” Surprised Anna asks, “What?!” Smiling darkly and her finger on her lips [=secret], Nanoka says, “You should absolutely not mention about this ‘lost twin’ thing to Nagase-kun. ♥”
After school dismissal, Anna is alone in the classroom. She remembers Nanoka reminding her that when the two of them [Anna and Sou] are alone, ‘twins’ are forbidden words!! Holding her bag, Anna thinks that of course, that is something someone else [= not involved] shouldn’t mention. Sou enters the classroom. He is surprised to see her that he asks if she hasn’t gone home yet. Anna calls out to him and asks what’s up with him. Sou angrily says that it is because he has been forcibly dragged away by the basketball team when he obviously said that he doesn’t want to join for he is already in the Go [board game] club. Anna is surprised to hear this. Sou complains that if it isn’t a school compulsory, he won’t even join and what’s with clubs anyway. Anna decides to take this opportunity to talk with Sou. While Sou is wearing his coat, Anna asks if he is free this Sunday. Puzzled, Sou says that he doesn’t have any special plans. Sou is surprised when Anna asks, “Do you want to go on a date?” Sou asks, “With..whom.” Opening her flip cellphone, Anna says, “Who? *Sou looks eager* Of course, Sou and--” Holding her cellphone up to Sou, Anna happily says, “Ayane ♥” A long pause. Poor Sou. He looks really dark and angry. He shouts, “..‘Ayane’, ‘Ayane’, ‘Ayane’, what the heck is going on? Are you looking for a quarrel these few days?!” Shock, Anna says, “No, I’m serious. Ayane still likes you~~ *Sou looks surprised* I and Ayane are in the photography club so I heard about that thing between you and Ayane. If you go this Sunday, Ayane will surely be happy. Go see her! I’ll support you two. *Sou looks sad* Even if the two of you are blood related twin siblings!!” From sad to surprise, Sou asks, “Ha?” Anna covers her mouth for she shouldn’t have said that. Sou asks, “What did you say? Is there something wrong with your brain?” Anna is puzzled over Sou’s reaction then she bends down [sitting] on the floor in fear. Sou angrily asks, “Who and who are twins siblings~~~?” Shock and aghast, Anna asks, “Eh..not true? But Nanoka said..the two of you have a forbidden love and since that cannot be helped, you guys broke up!! Then, in the next life, you’ll be ordinary lovers.” Resting his head on his hand while sitting on the desk, Sou says, “What do you mean by lost twin that has already been pulled apart, what’s really hard to believe is that someone actually believed that.” Anna exclaims out loud in disbelief as to how can that be. Sou calls out to her. While her heart is beating loudly, nervous Anna turns to look at him and says, yes. Sou smiles at her and says, “You! Do you know this feeling of a guy after being told, by the girl he likes, to go and date some other girl?” Anna looks surprised. Sou takes his bag and prepares to go out the room. Without looking at her, Sou says, “I really cannot do anything about you.” [Ah, it can also mean like I cannot refuse you. It is like, Anna being like that/hopeless yet Sou cannot help but do what she wants.] Anna turns to face him and calls out, “Sou. Sou..I’m sor..” While trying to go after him, Sou continues to say, “Then, would actually believe such an idiotic lie as the truth. Ah, even if it’s impossible that we were twins.” Anna looks sad-guilty and embarrassed. Sou turns around to her. Looking angry, Sou says, “I’ll go this Sunday. Tell that to Ayane!” Sou left Anna standing by the classroom door.
Let me continue what Sou is asking but for Anna’s side. What does it feel like that you believed a lie and you hurt your childhood friend badly? What does it feel that you hurt your childhood friend’s feelings because of your insensitivity and a lie that it seems sorry isn’t enough? What does it feel that your good intention turns out to be all based on a lie? What would it feel when you learn that you were just used to get back at your childhood friend? How would it feel that you’ll have to see that girl, who lied to you, caused your relationship with your childhood friend to turn sour and is a constant reminder of what you have done to your childhood friend, everyday in class and also after school in club? Of course, you can skip the club =P What does it feel that your two other female friends seem to know that girl is ‘brainwashing’ you yet they didn’t meddle because they find it troublesome and because you are stupidly hopeless? What does it feel that you didn’t trust your gut feel that it isn’t true yet you got carried away by that elaborate lie? How would it feel that you were so excited about high school and it is totally ruined now because of that girl and your own fault? In short, it totally sucks to be Anna right now. Yup, Nanoka is definitely a mini-Mari but more dangerous because this one is a liar. I think it is the first time that Anna encountered a liar and an actress. Even if Mari is mean and everything, she says things up front. After this incident, I think Anna would somehow lose her innocence and no longer trust what other people say. Well, there are a lot of Nanoka-s out there. I do think that this series is like a growing up story. Growing up is all about making mistakes and moving on so I hope that Anna will learn from this bitter mistake. I guess Anna got fooled because there are some things that she doesn’t know about Sou like why he likes her, why he really broke up with Aya and probably never seen Sou’s parents since Sou do live alone in the house. Anyway, at times like this, I think the only one whom Anna can cry her heart out or confide with is Hinata. Her other two female friends would probably just berate her for her stupidity and gullibility. Hehe, this could be a reason for the author to put Hinata back in the story and not just appear in cameos or in the covers? =P I do think Sou has the right to be angry. What Anna did and said is really inconsiderate of his feelings. Now that I think of it, it seems that everyone else tend to ‘hurt’ Anna whereas in Sou’s case, she tends to ‘hurt’ him. ^^; Actually, I’m hoping that he also gets angry at the one who tricked Anna. I do hope that Nanoka’s plan would backfire on her. Things with Anna and Sou might still be fixed but with Nanoka, based on how Anna reacted to Mari afterwards, I think their relationship is totally over..not that I’m hoping that they still become friends. ^^; Well, I’m curious what Sou is planning to do over the date with Aya. On the day of the party, Midoriko announces at the PA system that after the closing ceremony [before winter break] the highly anticipated Christmas party will start. They are going to carry out the exchange gift at the gym. The activity will start before 15 minutes before the party and it will end 2 hours and 45 minutes afterwards. The special guest will perform around 5 o’clock. She ends it with a wish that everyone enjoy and have a good time. Inside, the students talk about what gift they’ll get, what gift they prepared and heading home for a change clothes. At the Christmas party, everyone is all dressed up with guys in suits and girls in party dresses. The club members have set up a place where the guests can claim their gifts. Kanata takes two numbers from two girls and tells Shun that it is numbers 84 and 122. Shun goes in a room to get the gifts. Yuki then arrives and apologizes for being late. He says that he’ll replace Shun. Kanata says that he is definitely held up by some girls. Yuki smiles and says yes. [I cannot find the word meaning but I guessing that they are asking him some things.] In Santa girl dresses, Saaya and Midoriko arrive to give them some cake. Kanata thanks them and exclaims how cute the cake is with a Santa and Snowman on top. Midoriko agrees with him. While Kanata is happily eating, Shun comments to Midoriko that he thinks her Christmas outfit is cute. Midoriko happily thanks him. Looking sideways, Shun mutters but the one on that side. In a reindeer suit, Chitose who is eating a cake looks at Shun and asks, “Hm?” Shun asks her why she isn’t wearing a Christmas dress [= Santa girl outfit]. Chitose exclaims that it is too cold and she won’t be able to take it. Shun shouts back that it is impossible since the heater is on and there is also the warmth from everyone there. Chitose blush a bit and scowls. Shun laments that Chitose’s sex appeal is zero. Yuki laughs and says but it suits Chitose very much. Holding a box, Kanata asks Chitose if she hasn’t gotten her gift yet. Chitose says no. He tells her to get it now because there will be a lot of people at the end of the party. Kanata tells Yuki that it is number 37. Yuki goes to get it. Midoriko asks what Chitose’s gift is. Chitose says that it is Tadashi’s Demon god series collection novel. She tells Midoriko that her brother kept on pestering her to choose that. There is a scene of Tadashi who is glad that the budget is 500 yen. Midoriko says that’s nice and she would want it, too. To Midoriko’s delight, Chitose tells her that she’ll get her brother to give one to her. Yuki comes back with a gift. With anticipation, Chitose opens the gift. She gasps in delight since it is a mechanical pencil with words ‘Merry Christmas’ and a snow globe of a snowman on top. Midoriko comments that it is cute. Blushing, Chitose calls out to Yuki. Yuki asks what it is. Chitose asks him if it is from him. Yuki says that it isn’t. Chitose is puzzled that it isn’t because there is a snow globe and this is too much of a coincidence. Yuki tells her that it isn’t bad and with that, she’ll surely be happy that she can look at snow whenever she wants. Chitose happily says yes and She goes to show it off to Saaya. While Chitose is happily looking at the snow globe, Yuuki smiles and looks at her.
Soon, Honey Bee is performing. Shun goes to the clubroom and finds Chitose in the middle of changing clothes. Well, she is in the middle of wearing her sweater on top of her uniform. Chitose blushes and exclaims that she is changing clothes. Shun apologizes and says that it isn’t intentional. “You have pretty much done changing so it’s alright. Speaking of that, why didn’t you lock the door? Why aren’t you wearing the reindeer suit anymore?” Blushing and smiling, Chitose says that it will be hot when she goes dancing. He then tells her to change to a Santa dress instead. Chitose just asks him if he also came to change his clothes. Shun says, “Ah, no, there’s something I forgot to give you.” He takes something from his locker and tosses a small envelope to Chitose that she catches. “That’s for you.” Chitose asks if it is a Christmas gift and can she open it. Shun says that it’s nothing much, just a cheap trinket. Chitose takes out a necklace with a small butterfly pendant. Chitose exclaims that it is very cute. “Thank you!” Giving her another small package, Shun says, “Other than that, I’ll also give you the present I drew [from the exchange gift].” Chitose happily receives it. Blushing, Chitose says, “Sorry, I didn’t prepare anything... Although I thought about it a lot, in the end, I don’t know what to give to a guy. If it’s a girl then there are a lot more to choose from. Do you have anything that you want?” Shun says, “What I want...*touches her face* Of course, it is that thing.” Blushing again, Chitose pushes him away and asks if there is anything else besides that. Shun says, “None.” Chitose is speechless. Shun smiles and says, “A kiss will also do. Christmas kiss ♡” This made Chitose blush even more. She exclaims what about their agreement. Shun says that rationally, he wanted to comply with the agreement but then, his instinct is.. Blushing, Chitose says that she knows already but, she’ll be the one who’ll do it. Shun is delighted to hear this. Chitose tells him to sit on the chair and close his eyes. Shun obediently did as told. Chitose blushes as she looks at her hands. She then holds his shoulders and gives him a quick kiss [= light peck] on the lips. Shun looks bored upon opening his eyes. He touches his lips and asks what just touched his lips so gently. “Is it a mosquito?” Flustered Chitose exclaims that she has definitely touched his lips and that is the outmost limit [to her kiss].
Shun sighs. To Chitose’s surprise, Shun goes to her and gives her a hug. Chitose exclaims his name [to let go/what is he doing]. A little flustered, Shun sadly says, “Quickly become mine. I also want to thoroughly sever..” This surprises Chitose. She pulls away from him and looks at him. She asks, “Akaishi-kun, you also have someone whom you want to...forget?” After a pause, Shun admits it is true. Chitose says, “Really, then we are in the same position. Who do you want to forget..” Shun says that he cannot say. Sweatdrops, Chitose says that isn’t unfair because he knew about her situation. Closing his eyes, Shun replies, “Because I don’t want to remember it, it is all in the past now.” Chitose looks at him then asks, “Then, when you said that you wanted to go steady with me, it isn’t because you wanted me to be your girlfriend...” Shun denies it by saying, “No, wanting you as my girlfriend is part of the reason, only..the huge part of the reason is the same as yours.. *Shun looks at her* But, I’ve already had a lot of new feelings towards you, but for you, it seems that you still need some time.” Chitose says, yes and apologizes. Shun mutters that it is because of Yuki. Sitting beside him, Chitose says, “But, thanks to Akaishi-kun, it is definite that you made me distracted [from Yuki], I’ve also have new feelings toward you. So, please wait a bit for me.” After a pause, Shun smiles and says, “..okay.” Chitose smiles back. Outside the clubroom door, eavesdropping Yuki looks sad. After the party, Chitose walks home with Yuki. Chitose says that she had fun and what did Yuki got. Yuki says that it seems like a cake and he gave it to Kanata to eat. Chitose laughs over it. Yuki asks if she didn’t go watch Honey Bee. Chitose exclaims in surprise that he is right. “I was in the clubroom then, in the end, I totally forgot about it. Such a waste- [I didn’t get to see it.]” Yuki tells her that he went to call her. Chitose is surprised to hear about this. She tells him that she didn’t see him come. To her surprise and embarrassment, Yuki tells her that it is because she is with Shun so he didn’t make any sound. “Christmas gift, I also want it.” Yuki holds Chitose’s head and tells surprised Chitose, “Can I receive it, too? A gift just like Shun’s.”
Wha-?! <- my first reaction. If it isn’t Saaya, it is Yuki who is messing with Chitose x Shun. ^^; Okay, I give Shun a thumbs up for not letting Saaya get to him and really deciding to move on. Even if I do think that Chitose x Shun would be a nice pair, I still feel that Shun is forcing himself because he doesn’t seem to naturally like Chitose. He wanted her to wear a Santa dress whereas for Yuki, it seems that it is okay for him that Chitose is wearing a reindeer suit and he finds her cute in it. It is the same with the gifts. It is so obvious that is Yuki’s Christmas gift for Chitose and it is ‘specialized’ for Chitose whereas for Shun, he would just give something ‘typical’ for Chitose. That is why I tend to prefer Yuki for Chitose aside from the fact that Shun seems to be just after sex. ^^;; Of course, the problem with Yuki is if he likes Chitose enough, he should have break it off with Saaya. I’m still wondering as to which one doesn’t want to break it off. With Shun’s talk with Saaya, it seems that ‘power’ is with Saaya. It seems that Saaya doesn’t want to break off because Yuki is ‘needy’ or something that he has to be with Saaya. Also, I wonder if Yuki would quit ‘mingling too much’ with other girls if he would go steady with Chitose. That is what’s good with Shun because he doesn’t play around like Yuki. Also, I find it interesting that it seems Shun tend to say things to Chitose that he doesn’t with others. I actually believe that this is what made Saaya jealous that she slapped Shun. Basically, both guys have their good and bad points that I think they still need to prove that they are worthy of Chitose. So now, I wonder if Chitose would succumb to the temptation of what Yuki is implying to want. Chitose has a high ‘values’ so she might not want to kiss him since currently, she has a boyfriend but then, to kiss the one whom she really loves is really tempting. It really does seem somewhat manipulative of Yuki to say that unless he later on passes it off as slip of tongue, I’m just joking just like when he suddenly hug her. There is also about that mechanical pencil with a snow globe. It will remind Chitose of Yuki, if it isn’t because snow is also ‘yuki’ in Japanese (subliminal meaning), then it is about the morning they have fun in the snow. One thing is for sure, Chitose will be more confused and just like what Shun thought, it is Yuki who is hindering Chitose from totally becoming his. How can Chitose move on when Yuki keep on showing signs of interest? I also wonder how Shun would react if he knew the things that Yuki has been doing. Will he think that there is also a chance for him to be with Saaya since Yuki is ‘breaking away’ from Saaya? In prison, Kaede is giving/forcing Buzen something to drink. Buzen is still chained on the wall. Buzen had a talk with Kaede about brothers which includes Kyo-Shou and Sagami-Houki. Kaede then tells him that the first victims that Buzen took when he went on a rampage before are his parents. I don’t quite sure as to whom Kyo stabs in that flashback so I’m presuming that it is Kyo who stopped Buzen then Kaede also mentioned Shou. 小山同學 wrote that Buzen doesn’t remember anything so it is either that is true or Kaede is just saying that to weaken Buzen’s willpower. At Ayame’s room, Misao is saying about Kyo being late. She then sees Ayame shaking her head around as she is dozing to sleep. It seems that Misao tells her to just sleep but Ayame wants to wait for Sagami. When Misao walks around the house, she finds someone outside lying on the ground. While she tries to wake the person up, Houki appears behind her and it seems he is asking how she is and if she’s alone. Houki seems to be asking for some of her blood. Misao seems to be happy to oblige since she also has faith in Houki much like Kyo does. She tells him about Kyo doesn’t want to remove Houki of his ranking. He still believes in the kid who had used to always follow him around. Houki just smiles coldly upon hearing that. In bed, it seems that Misao tells Kyo about giving away the blood which is about a medium sized bottle. [小山同學 is wondering how could a wound from a finger produce that much blood =P] Kyo hits her head then pats her head. He then hugs her. They talk and Misao laughs about something. It seems that Misao thinks of how much she loves Kyo. Kyo then starts licking her finger where she is cut to give away the blood. Then, he is licking all over her body. Kyo is surprised when Misao suddenly pushes him down on the floor. She is on top of him then she blushes so much that she is embarrassed of what she is doing, I think. Kyo then holds her face and asks Misao something. Meanwhile, Houki is saying about how much he is trusted that he got this bottle of blood. He head to the prison and tells Kaede that he came early since he already got the blood. Shou who is standing beside Buzen tells them to withdraw since it is starting. He then puts one of Buzen’s earrings on the floor. Buzen looks dark and sweaty all over.
Well, Misao and Kyo are sure very trusting of Houki and I hope they are right else they would be blamed if something bad that is caused by Houki happens. Houki’s cold smile is making me think that he could be a bad guy. I think Shou ought to be careful of traitors. Oh well, Shou doesn’t seem to be the type to trust anyone but himself. Since these two people are willing to help him so why not. He has nothing to lose and I guess he is quite reckless and obvious in everything he does because he doesn’t really care about himself or he is betting on Kyo and Misao’s niceness that he can get away with it. ^^; Scans by Flavia for BW.

Narration: “‘So, that’s how it is’, as a wife, I finally understood..” Fumino and Teppei peek out at Kazuma who is sitting by the balcony. Fumino thinks, “But! I should think of a way to make him remember!” Using Ryuu’s idea that she has to give Kazuma a sample of their usual romantic life for Kazuma to immediately remember, Fumino calls out to Kazuma. In hell Ma-kun mode, Kazuma darkly turns around and asks what. Cavewoman Fumino and bear Teppei with an axe are shock at how scary he looks. After a long pause, Kazuma asks what’s up with the get-up. Fumino angrily shouts that it is he who asks them to do cosplay every night. “Don’t you remember?” Aghast looking Kazuma retreat a bit and says, “...saying it like that, it seems that I’m a pervert.” Fumino shouts for him not to back away. Holding Fumino’s shoulders, serious Kazuma shouts, “Not only did I marry my own student, I also make her cosplay? That’s impossible! You guys are definitely deceiving me! Before I regain my memories, you guys better quickly escape!” Fumino shouts back how could Kazuma deny himself [/be negative]. “We are not deceiving you! Everything is all because of..” Kazuma asks, “Of?” Fumino looks away and blushes. She says, “..love.” Kazuma looks at her then suddenly hugs her tight. Blushing and in surprise, Fumino asks if he has remembered. Kazuma seems to be also surprised by what he has done. Fumino hugs him tight that made her have a hard time breathing. To her shock, Kazuma casually says that in the end, something is wrong for how could he marry a flat-chested girl. So, Fumino sends Kazuma flying away. After hearing some noise, Ryuu comes in while holding a frying fan. He is cooking lunch. He asks them what happened and did Kazuma remember. Teppei tells him that they weren’t successful. In aghast, Fumino laments that whether in the past or the present, Kazuma likes huge breasts.
Looking up the hole in the roof, Ryuu asks where Kazuma is. Fumino angrily shouts that she doesn’t know what place she kicked him to. Ryuu reminds her that the current Kazuma doesn’t know how to go back there and speaking of that, won’t it be really bad if she doesn’t quickly get him to regain his memories. “Tomorrow, there’s school, right?” Fumino goes in shock as she imagines a delinquent sensei Kazuma threatening people. Fumino thinks that no matter what, they have to bring back Kazuma’s memories within the day. Ryuu says that they are going to look for Kazuma. Teppei happily exclaims ya. Fumino tells them to go ahead since she’ll change her clothes first. Ryuu says that maybe because of Fumino’s kick, Kazuma got his memories back. He then shouts that they’re going ahead. After dressing up, she thinks that it would be nice if it is that easy. She then finds herself holding on to her necklace. She then realizes something. Looking at the album, she exclaims about that thing that hit Kazuma. At the park [I think], Kazuma seems to have beaten up someone who seems to have irritated him. [Sorry, words to small to read] Teppei and Ryuu have found him. Teppei calls out to Kazuma. Kazuma angrily asks what it is. Teppei asks if he remembered. Kazuma angrily says no and why is he wearing that outfit outside of the house. Bending down, Kazuma asks Teppei that he is that girl’s little brother and does she treat him [Teppei] very roughly. Teppei tells him no and Buu-chan is very nice. Kazuma asks if that is true. Teppei smiles and says, “It’s true, Ma-kun should also know it right? Buu-chan is nice and also cute. And, since she married Ma-kun, doesn’t Buu-chan smile more often?” Kazuma seems to remember the three of them together and looking happy. Kazuma seems puzzled.
From behind him, Fumino lifts up the album and tries to hit Kazuma with it. Kazuma manages to dodge. Fumino runs after him and continues to try and hit him. She shouts for him to be nice and just let himself be hit by the album. Teppei quickly goes back to Ryuu since those two had started quarreling/playing hit. [I can only read the word ‘hit’ ^^;] Kazuma exclaims what she is talking about. Fumino shouts that if he gets hit by the album, who knows, he’ll get his memories back. While Kazuma is trying to evade her, he remembers what Teppei said that ever since they got married, Fumino has been smiling more often. Kazuma looks surprised to see crying Fumino as she shouts, “Idiot! Quickly remember..!” She is surprised when Kazuma kicks the album away [upward] and holds her face. Kazuma exclaims, “You’re not allowed to cry! ..[you] should smile.” What goes up, goes down and so the album goes down and hits Kazuma on the head that he passed out. Fumino can only tensely call out his name. Ryuu exclaims that it looks that it is really painful. In piggy back style, Ryuu carries unconscious Kazuma back to his house while the two worried siblings follow him. Soon, it is dark and Kazuma finally wakes up. He sits up and holds his head. He complains that it hurts. Crying Fumino asks if he is alright. She kept on apologizing. Kazuma asks, “What happen, Fumino? *holds her face* Why are you crying..” Kazuma smiles as Fumino goes to him and give him a hug. Narration: “Because there is this smiling face that is beside me...I can show off a happy smile. Sensei, I really like you,” Hugging Fumino, Kazuma seriously says, “It seems that I have to do my best in feeding you, your chest is still so flat.” Ryuu and Teppei are surprised by that comment and of course, Fumino is furious that she kicks Kazuma up up in the sky again. Ryuu shouts for Kazuma and asks Fumino what if Kazuma loses his memories again. Embarrassed Fumino angrily shouts for him to shut up. Narration: “and also hate [you]!”
This is a funny side story. I guess the author is somewhat implying about should a guy be honest and say things that a girl doesn’t want to hear? =P I guess what Kazuma has become is something that he never imagined himself doing but as Fumino said, it is because of love. Yup, love can make people do surprising things that one didn’t expect to do ^^ Ah, that can be good or bad depending on what that thing is =P About hitting Kazuma with the album, it reminds me of the title of a newspaper article I’ve read today - ‘It’s so stupid that it might actually work’. At the office, Sumi goes to her group and happily tells them that they will now test their shogi skills against each other for fun. She is surprised to see Nozomu there. One of the guys greets her and tells her that Nozomu has also joined in their group. Bright eyed Nozomu tells Sumi that it is his first time to learn so he’ll be under her care. While Sumi is looking shock over this, Nozomu looks surprised to see Miu coming in from Sumi’s behind while holding a bento box. Just like her husband, Miu puts on a gentle smile and greets Sumi. Sumi tensely greets Miu back. Nozomu exclaims why Miu came. Holding the bento box to Nozomu, Miu happily says that she came to bring his lunch and she asked the chef to make all of Nozomu’s favorite foods. With a smile, Miu tells them that there is a party at their house this weekend and everyone are welcome to come. Flustered Nozomu asks about having a party at home [because he doesn’t know about it]. The two guys say that they will definitely go. Miu then happily tells Sumi to also come. Sumi couldn’t reply but the other two guys say but of course [she’ll go], right. Miu happily says that she’ll anticipate it. Tense Sumi didn’t say anything. At Ashida residence, Sumi informs Soichiroh about the party. Sumi sadly says that she wasn’t able to refuse. Soichiroh says that there is nothing bad about it and if she refused, it is also not quite appropriate. Sumi is reluctant but Soichiroh holds her head and tells her that he’ll go with her so she doesn’t have to show that kind of expression. This made Sumi feel at ease as she smiles at him.
At Ijuin main residence, on the day of the party, Sumi arrives with Soichiroh. Sumi thinks that Miu is looking quite cheerful but she doesn’t know if Miu still minds the thing between her and Nozomu. They are greeted at the door by Komai. Komai leads them to the hall where the party is held. Sumi asks Komai why he didn’t return to Soichiroh’s side. Soichiroh tells Sumi not to mention that again. While Sumi tries to protest, Soichiroh just walks in. Komai is surprised when someone from behind him asks what he is planning. Komai turns to see that it is Keiko. Komai denies it but Keiko doesn’t look like she believes him. They were interrupted upon seeing Natsuki coming in and saying that it seems that it is true that Komai is now working as a butler for the Mr. Ijuin. Natsuki is accompanied by a girl clad in a kimono. Komai asks who the lady is. It is now Keiko’s turn to show a shock expression because Natsuki says that lady is his fiancee. He tells them that he feels that he should more or less settle down, too. Komai congratulates him. Natsuki thanks him. After they left, Komai looks at shocked Keiko and asks if that is alright. Flustered Keiko asks what he means by that. She hurriedly heads off somewhere. While the two guys from shogi club are awed by the Ijuin residence, they are welcomed by Nozomu and Miu. They say that Miu dressed up really beautifully. Miu is delighted by that. When she is telling Nozomu that she got praised, Nozomu snubs her and welcomes Soichiroh and Sumi. Nozomu then praises Sumi that tonight, she is more beautiful. Sumi blushes and thanks him. Miu looks dark.
It is now time for a toast. Nozomu thanks everyone for coming in spite of their busy schedule. “Even if the time I’ve enter Ashida Products hasn’t been that long, but thanks to everyone’s valuable assistance, I was able to do substantial work everyday. Before we toast, I have some news that I want to announce.” While everyone is wondering what delightful news it is, Nozomu drops the bomb by saying, “I- Ijuin Nozomu and my wife- Miu..will divorce from this day on.” Everyone goes into shock especially Miu. While everyone is confused, Nozomu’s father exclaims to Nozomu as to what he is saying. Nozomu ignores everyone as he continues to say with a smile, “Because we are separating amicably, everyone shouldn’t worry!” Soichiroh shouts Nozomu’s name [to probably shut him up] but Nozomu hasn’t finished yet. He adds, “To celebrate my and Miu’s starting all over again, let’s have a toast--” Miu is bowing her head and looks really angry. She cannot take it anymore that she quickly runs off. Being the nice and clueless girl that she is, Sumi decides to go after Miu. Miu [quickly lures her prey..I mean] quickly heads to the bedroom. Miu jumps to the bed and starts crying. While Sumi ponders what she should say to Miu, Miu tells Sumi that if she wants to laugh, she can go ahead. Sumi is puzzled. Miu accuses Sumi of being definitely happy when she is embarrassed like that in front of everyone. Sumi denies it but Miu doesn’t believe her as she sits up and shouts back at Sumi that if only she doesn’t exist, this kind of thing wouldn’t have happened. Sumi looks surprised. Miu says, “It’s all because of you..” Aghast, Sumi repeats, “All..because of me..?” Miu takes her knife from under the pillow. [It seems to be the same knife used to slash the painting.] Holding it out towards Sumi, Miu, who has a crazed look, says, “If only you didn’t exist..” Sumi just looks tense as she mutters Miu’s name. As Miu goes to attack shock Sumi, Miu shouts, “Why don’t you just disappear from this world!”
I cannot help but think that I’m reading some sort of soap opera that is crossing over some horror manga/show because of the creepy expressions jealous and angry people in this chapter especially those who are mentally unstable. It is really unfortunate of Sumi to be caught in between two psychos who are actually having marital issues. It is obvious that public humiliation is Nozomu’s revenge on Miu for ruining his precious painting. If this isn’t controlled or no one intervenes, Sumi might end up as a tragic victim. ^^; I guess Sumi should have gone with her instinct not to go to the party. Soichiroh is also too naive about things that are happening. Well, I cannot really blame him for that since he doesn’t even know what’s happening inside his company. ^^;; I think that even without Nozomu’s announcement which broke the camel’s back for Miu, Miu does have intent to harm Sumi. She did prepare that knife under the pillow for Sumi. Honestly, I think Nozomu and Miu can have a career in acting and also, if they aren’t in psycho mode, they really do look a cute couple together. Hehe..isn’t it obvious to Miu that she isn’t Nozomu’s type? Just from how the two ladies dress up, Sumi and Miu are contrasts of each other. I still think that Sumi and Nozomu can pass off as siblings. So, I’m hoping that Miu’s attempted murder can trigger some lost memories of Sumi in order for us to know more about her past. For wishful thinking, I hope Sumi resolves this by herself and not some guy or maid saving her. I’m thinking like it would release the fire in her that she won’t let herself be some ‘pawn’ or ‘victim’ of circumstances as she usually is but that is well, really wishful thinking. ^^; Will it be a butler who’ll save her this time around? =P I think the worst case scenario for Miu is if Nozomu find out about this. That will be really, really ugly that I won’t be surprised if Nozomu outright kills her. I really feel that there will be some sort of tragedy that is going to happen with the things that are happening in this series lately. As for Keiko, she pretty much got slapped by reality that it is obvious that Natsuki just used her. I think Keiko is an asset so hopefully, they can get her in their side. Scans by 玉/wdsjznl for BW.

[I’ll continue from where blottyparchment left off. About chapter 57, which wasn’t mentioned, what happened there is basically everyone is celebrating TachibanaTanabata corrected [by yuu_Chan, thanks ^^ According to wiki, it is is a Japanese festival which celebrates the stars in the sky. on this day, people around the world write their wishes on a piece of Tanabata paper [strips of colored paper] and hangs them on long bamboo branches.] that is initiated by Shintaro. Yuusuke wants to have a castle. Tomoyo wants to be number one in the exams. Shintaro hangs a lot of wishes which are all about the erotic stuff he wants to do with Maria. =P Shin’s wish is written by Maria and that is to play piano in a music hall. Shintaro had confronted Maria what she liked about Shin who is a gloomy and gutless guy. Maria admits that those are true but there is something passionate inside of Shin and he has a strong unwavering heart. That is what made her fall for him. She says that with a smile. Somewhere else, Shin finally gets his courage to convince his father to let him play at his Ave Maria concert. Shin seems to be not that determined that his father shouts at him being shameless and thinking he can go onstage just because he is his father. Shin suddenly becomes determined and tells his father that he won’t shame him and he can do this. While he is saying all that his father is smiling and I guess this is what he wanted to hear from Shin. =P Chapter 61 starts below:
Holding Maria’s shoe, Yuusuke asks what happened to her. He notices her crying so he quickly goes to her. Maria quickly wipes her tears and claims that there is no problem at all. She just had an entanglement with someone but now, everything is fine. She just fell down and got dirtied. Yuusuke notices that she is shaking but he drops the subject and just asks if she isn’t injured. Maria says that she is fine. Yuusuke smiles and says that’s good. He says that he is surprised when she called. Maria apologizes that she just pressed any key in her cellphone’s call history. Yuusuke complains about that for he thought she would actually call him for help and isn’t he dependable. Maria tries to say something but Yuusuke says that he’s just teasing her. Yuusuke picks up Maria’s cellphone. He notices that it is mostly him who is in the call history and that is because he always calls her to say ‘Good night, Maria’ before she sleeps. Yuusuke is suddenly surprised when Maria looks surprised as she covers her mouth. She has realized that she never thanked Yuusuke for that when it is because of him that she was able to sleep, and she should have at least say that she’s very happy about it. Yuusuke tries to say that it is okay but he stops since Maria is crying. She apologizes for that. She is frustrated over herself – wasn’t able to do what she promised to Shin [go to the concert], causes pain to her mother and Toshiya [<- jerk street musician], and thinking of Yuusuke’s calls as something trivial [<- something she has taken for granted]. Yuusuke touches her face and then, he quickly pulls away to apologize. To his surprise, Maria leans to him and cry on his shoulder. With scenes of Shin playing the piano, Maria thinks, “Why is it that he can be so kind.. I..wasn’t able to make anyone happy. What should I do so that I can be kind just like Kanda. What should I do in order to stand beside someone precious to me? If I can use these hands to make the one I love happy, then that will be true bliss--” After Shin finished playing, he got a loud applause and a standing ovation. The others rave and were touched by Shin’s music. Shin just looks tense because he can still see Maria’s empty seat. Shin goes backstage as his father congratulates him for a good job. He then tells Shin to go back for an encore. To his father’s surprise, Shin just runs out of the music hall and tries to look for Maria.
Blushing Yuusuke holds Maria’s arms as he helps her stand up. He asks her if it is alright for her to be so close to him. Maria looks up and asks, huh? Yuusuke says that Maria used to be scared of being touched and before, when he teased her by trying to console her while caressing her face, she looks really startled. And, when he forcibly hugged her, she is so shock that she passed out. This made Maria blankly apologize to him. Yuusuke tells her that no, it isn’t about him being hurt but lately, it seems she has gotten used to it thanks to Erosu/Shintaro. Maria says yes and it should also be okay. [<- to be near Yuusuke?] Yuusuke replies that the one Maria likes is Shin so the one who ought to comfort her is.. He is surprised when Maria holds his face. “..Kanda..is my..very important person! *Yuusuke blushes then Maria pinches his cheeks* You are a ‘cannot be swayed by anything’ friend for life! Although, I’m very sorry, but I definitely won’t let you go.” While Yuusuke tries to call her name and get away from her, Maria just shouts, “Didn’t you say that you’ll always smile by my side. If you are weary, I’ll smile by your side.” Yuusuke asks if she is angry. Maria denies it. Yuusuke says, “But you are crying.” Maria denies that, too. Shin is already at the park when he sees Yuusuke suddenly hugging Maria and shouts, “Let me say Maria, Ah geez- I already totally understand! Maria really cherishes me. You have already clearly conveyed this to me.” [It seems that Yuusuke kisses her cheek or pulls her into a tighter embrace.] Shin is in total shock. At her apartment, Maria tries to call Shin but she couldn’t contact him. She wonders if he hasn’t bought a new cellphone yet. She is disappointed with herself that day since she feels this indescribable feeling of ease in front of Yuusuke yet she couldn’t stop crying. She also wanted to apologize to Shin for not going to the concert. Just then, her cellphone rings. It is from a public telephone booth. She answers it and it is Shin. She quickly tries to apologize to him. Shin interrupts and asks if anything delayed her. Maria is about to tell him about what happened but she remembered Shin didn’t approve of her doing that street singing before, else she’ll attract too much attention. Thinking that he’ll be worried, Maria lied she has indeed been delayed a bit but she has definitely heard his playing for she could hear it outside. He asks her what she felt when she heard it. Shin blushes when Maria says that she is really happy. “At that time, I happened to be alone. Very lonely and uneasy, but Meguro’s piano [music], helped cheer me..” Shin immediately hangs up the phone. He looks flustered and downcast as he mutters, “I don’t know, what is real anymore..”
Maria dreams of someone singing. “So cute, Augustine, Augustine, Augustine. So cute, Augustine, do not have anything, whether it’s money or love, ‘do not have’ is ‘do not have’. So cute, Augustine.” Maria wakes up within her dream and sees a teddy bear who introduce itself as Augustine and it asks Maria to sing along with it. Maria is aghast as she says that her shoes have become a teddy bear. [Augustine is the name of her flashy shoes that Shin gave her.] The teddy bear asks if she has forgotten that anything that is precious to her, she would name them Augustine. It says that since she is lonely and uneasy tonight, how about she cheers herself up by singing along with it. Maria says that since it re-appeared, that means that she is really uneasy. Blushing, she says that the new school year and meeting Shin doesn’t make her uneasy. She holds the teddy bear and tells it that Shin is surely angry that she didn’t go to the concert. While her alarm clock is ringing, Maria wakes up and says, “Am I..hated by Meguro..?” She sits up and looks at her shoes on the table. She thinks that she wasn’t able to talk with Shin again ever since their phone conversation has been cut off. On her way to school, Shintaro calls out to Maria and tells her to kiss him so that he’ll show her something nice. Maria refuses. He kept on insisting but Maria steadfastly refused and ignored his pleas. He shows him a picture of young Shin in a newspaper clipping and asks if she really doesn’t want it. Maria manages to snatch the clipping before Shintaro can get a kiss. It is about a review of Shin’s Ave Maria that is played like a love song and how everyone liked it. The headline says that Shin makes a comeback. Shintaro holds Maria’s face to him and says that Shin will be studying overseas so it is better to forget about him since he is someone who can leave at any time. Maria tensely asks, “Leave..?” Shintaro tells her that he is just saying that at random. Maria angrily walks away. Flustered Shintaro goes after her and tries to say that it is because she looked really happy upon seeing that news clipping that he wanted to tease her. From the roof, Shin watches at them.
In the classroom, while Maria’s friends look at the newspaper clipping about Shin, Maria asks Yuusuke where Shin is. He says that Shin isn’t there yet and maybe he plans to skip class. Maria is shock to see Kenichi and Takeshi [two guy friends] crumpling the newspaper clipping while laughing over how uncute Shin looks when he was a kid. Maria takes the clipping back and tells them to keep it smooth. They apologize. Maria blushes as she looks at the picture of young Shin. Yuusuke just smiles at her. Then, the homeroom teacher enters and reprimands the students for being so noisy that they can be heard at the hallway. He says that vacation is over and it seems that they aren’t in the mood yet but it will be school/cultural festival soon. The students were surprised when the teacher made a side comment that if they didn’t do a good program, who’ll be embarrassed won’t be the teacher but the students. Everyone start brainstorming about making it music themed and how about doing a cafe. Yuusuke wants it to be a maid cafe if they will do a cafe. They are all surprised when Maria happily says that they try it for everyone has good and interesting ideas. They will have music and a cafe served by maids. Tomoyo will make the clothes. Kenichi can improve his cooking skills by making snacks for the cafe. Ayu can put cosmetics on everyone to become beautiful maids. Regarding the music, instead of playing a CD, they will play it live. Their cafe will be one of a kind. “It will definitely be very interesting!” She looks surprised when everyone is looking at her. She asks, “No good?” Yuusuke holds on to her and says that it isn’t so but rather, everyone is just shock. He then tells everyone that they do that music maid cafe. Everyone gets excited as they wonder if they can pull it off. The guys are surprised when Ayu says that he wants to put make up on the guys, too. They decided to make the guys into maids, too. The girls are excited to make Yuusuke into a maid. Yuusuke then tells Maria that she [sing] and Shin [piano accompaniment] will perform the Ave Maria together.
Maria goes out and didn’t find Shin in his usual place near the staircase. She then goes out the roof and thinks that if they do that, it would be like they are one body through music. She calls out to Shin and tries to tell him about their plans regarding the school festival. She isn’t finished talking when Shin stands in front of her and holds her face. Maria blushes and looks tense as Shin just looks at her. She suddenly slaps his hand away. He asks if she hates it. She says of course. She thinks that it is because that look on his face tells her that he is touching her not because he wanted to, but rather, it seems that he is testing something. Shin asks, “..Is it because it’s me that’s why you hate it..” Maria tries to tell him that it isn’t so but Shin has already turned around. She asks him if he is angry about her not going to the concert. Maria is surprised when Shin says that regarding that thing, it doesn’t matter anymore. Maria says that it isn’t ‘doesn’t matter anymore’. “I want to know what you are thinking. You are always uncommunicative and keep on increasing the distance [between us]. It would be better if you just clearly say it!” Shin looks surprised as Maria fears about Shin hating her. She fears hearing it but then, it is better to clearly know the truth. Somewhat flustered Shin just looks at her. Shin asks what she wants to know. Maria says that he is hiding something. Surprised, Shin is about to say when he is doing that but Maria shouts, that isn’t it, but rather, when he touched her, it seems as if he is testing something. “You are obviously angry yet you won’t say anything. I basically don’t know what you are thinking because you always don’t use words [language] to convey!” Shin says that he isn’t angry. Maria shouts, “Liar! Your face obviously looks unhappy.” Shin looks aghast. He looks away and apologizes that his face is naturally like that. Maria exclaims, “See, it’s that again, you thought again of dealing with this by letting it pass. You obviously had accumulated too much dissatisfaction that you are gloomy and troubled. Do you think that the people around you won’t notice? So, say it! Tell me everything! To me..” Shin blurts out that he cannot tell her. Maria asks why and is it because she is unworthy of trust. Shin just looks away and starts walking away. Somewhat irritated, Maria shouts, “And also, it’s really infuriating that you tend to just be uncommunicative like this!” This made flustered Shin turn around to face her. Maria continues to shout, “Acting cool! Playing dumb!” Shin answers back by calling her having a lot of nerve for no matter what, she would always say things so straightforward and bluntly and this is why she isn’t popular with guys.
Irked, Maria shouts back that even if it’s her, she also has a good relationship with guys. Shin just says, ya, ya and who is she referring to Yuusuke or Shintaro. Maybe with a hint of jealousy, Shin tells her that right now, she can smile, and be together with those guys. He also says that she can cry [in front of them] and touch them, too. Flustered Maria cannot answer back. Shin continues to say that he is praising her because now, her face is filled with expressions and it is now totally different from that boring mask she has when she just transferred school. Maria answers back, “Mask?! You kept on ranting about the past endlessly, you’re a guy who’ll nag endlessly!” Maria is surprised when Shin shouts, “Ah- that’s right, I nag endlessly. Nagging endlessly, one-tracked mind, I’m an idiot!” Shin goes out and slams the door. Maria thinks that they had a quarrel by letting all of their discontent feelings out, and that she’s an idiot for saying too much. While walking downstairs, Shin starts laughing his head off that it is amazing that they actually quarreled. Shin mutters that she is right for he nags endlessly and he really did such an idiotic thing. “I finally..understand..I’m really such an idiot.” [Hehe, Maria’s sharp words has a different effect on Shin in contrast to others ^^;;] Dream: Maria keeps on apologizing to Shin. Augustine Teddy Bear asks her whom she hurt this time. “Using sharp words in order to push others to the edge [/become desperate], you are hated by others for that, right?” Maria tries to protest but teddy bear continues to say, “Just like that thing before with mama.” Maria looks surprised as a little Maria holds the teddy bear and says, “It’s Maria who pushed mama to the edge, isn’t it so? Why is it that only mama left? It would be much better if I also died with her then.” End dream. That made Maria shouts, “No..” out loud. She finds herself in the classroom where everyone is preparing for the festival. They all look at her then go back to what they are doing. Maria thinks that it is a dream. Someone greets Maria a good morning. She is surprised that it is a pretty ‘lady’ who says, “So early in the morning yet you are napping, you’re such a kid ♡” Somewhat aghast, Maria asks who ‘she’ is. Girl-Yuusuke in gothic tells her to call him, ‘Yuuko’. Pointing at Yuusuke, Ayu happily exclaims that she put cosmetics on Yuusuke and isn’t it a beautiful mess. Yuusuke touches Ayu’s lip and tells her that it is thanks to her cute makeup skills. Ayu thanks him and promptly swoons. Just then, Yuusuke’s blouse strap snaps. Yuusuke apologizes to Tomoyo about it but Tomoyo says that it is okay because before, she is only used to making clothes for herself. The other girls are raving over how good Tomoyo is and want her to teach them.
Yuusuke then worriedly asks Maria if she hasn’t been sleeping well lately and it also seems that she just had a nightmare. Sparkling, Yuusuke says, “If there is anything that troubles you, try telling me about it.” Maria says that she doesn’t know of a good way to make amends/reconcile. He asks with whom. Maria says it is Shin and they had a fight yesterday. This surprises Yuusuke but Maria tells him not to worry about it since it is her fault and she is always bothered about Shin being angry about that concert incident. During lunch period, Shintaro is happily walking to have lunch with Maria when he spots Yuusuke talking with Shin at the hallway. Shin asks Yuusuke what he wanted to talk about. Yuusuke says that it is about Maria. Shintaro decides to eavesdrop. Shin is surprised when Yuusuke says that during the concert, it is for Shin that Maria dressed herself up beautifully and she really anticipated to listen to Shin’s Ave Maria. “But on the way at the park, she got entangled with someone and got her dress dirtied.” Shin exclaims in surprise about this. Yuusuke tells him that by the time he got there, Maria is already all alone. Shin repeats those last two words of Yuusuke. Yuusuke says that it seems that Maria has suddenly released what she is carrying in her heart that she cried a lot. “Compared to before, she likes to smile more these days. There is more physical contact but I feel that lately, her feelings aren’t that stable. Meguro, this isn’t the time to be quarrelling with Maria..” To Yuusuke and Shintaro’s surprise, Shin smiles and says, “I know. Hey, Yuusuke, it’s quite inconceivable that after I fought with that girl, my brain suddenly became very clear. I like Kawai. I don’t want to give her to any other person. No matter who it is. Because I do not want to hurt her so I made up a lie. To sum it up, a lie is a lie. I thought it over, no matter what happens, I won’t falter..I only need to have a very firm, true feeling. With that being the only true thing, one can survive.” Shintaro suddenly butts in and shouts, “Wait. What are you saying right now after everything? You’ll definitely use vague words [& actions] to show off to Kawai-sempai.” Yuusuke tries to stop the two but aghast-flustered Shin shouts, “I won’t! I promise you, before the cultural festival, I’ll definitely hug her tightly!”
Watching Maria walking at the hallway, Shin thinks that he should confess first. Gripping his fist, he thinks, no, they had just quarreled so they should reconcile first. He then goes out to call Maria, “Ka..” Shintaro pushes him away and greets Maria a good morning really loud. Maria looks around and says that it seems that she just heard Shin’s voice. Shintaro says that it is just her imagination and maybe, it is the voice of a stalker. Shin is really angry that he grabs Shintaro and asks him what that is all about. Maria just walks away puzzled. Shintaro asks if it isn’t obvious, he is hindering Shin. Shin is totally aghast to learn that. Shintaro says, “What is that about afraid of hurting Kawai-sempai, you obviously always run away from embracing. Even if you have already changed your attitude, I won’t give Kawai-sempai to a gutless guy.” Flustered and challenged, Shin says that they’ll just have to wait and see. “I won’t let lewd Kurosu hinder me, no, I won’t let anyone hinder me! I’ve already decided..” He rushes to his classroom to see that all the male students standing outside the hallway. Yuusuke tries to stop Shin from entering the classroom but Shin won’t listen. He opens the door to see some girls topless in their underwear. Tomoyo is measuring Maria’s chest size. They all look at him in surprise. After a pause, Maria and Shin blush upon seeing each other. Shin then mutters his apology and quickly closes the door. Shin is aghast-embarrassed when Ayu laughs out loud over Shin’s hurried and anxious expression since normally, he just had a scary expression. Yuusuke tells Shin that right now, they are doing measurements for the girls’ maid costume. While Shin is saying that he didn’t know that, Maria comes out of the classroom and calls Shin a ‘lewd wolf’. Aghast, Shin says that it isn’t deliberate. He turns around and walks away. Maria then tells Yuusuke that she is just joking to try to lighten the mood. She laments that it is really hard to reconcile.
Below the staircase, Yuusuke calls Shin an idiot. Shin admits it, so there is no need for Yuusuke to berate him anymore. He says that he feels that it isn’t the right time. Yuusuke sighs and says that it cannot be helped for the two of them are really stupid. Yuusuke tells Shin that opportunity isn’t looked for but rather created. He suggests that the two of them need to be alone first and use the cultural festival as the topic, set the mood and then confess. “Ah, don’t say I like you the ‘most’ because it will make her think that there is number two whom you like.” Shin looks somewhat surprised and says is that so. He then asks how to create a situation wherein there is only the two of them. Yuusuke tells him that he cannot help Shin to that point. Embarrassed, Shin says, right. While cleaning, Yuusuke ends up helping by asking Maria about practicing the music with Shin since the festival is going to start soon. Maria says that Shin hasn’t agreed to it yet and then, they quarreled. When Yuusuke is trying to tell her to be a bit more forceful, Shin approaches her and asks if they can go home together today. Maria is pleasantly surprised by that. Shin says that they are doing a music cafe so he thought that they go to the music store to choose the kind of music they will use. Yuusuke happily says that it’s decided so the two of them should go. But in the end, much to Shin’s dismay, Yuusuke and Shintaro tagged along with the two. Shintaro happily says that he’s really happy that they can stroll together. At the music store, Yuusuke tells gloomy Shin that he thought Shin’s idea is very good if Erosu didn’t come along. Shintaro then calls out to Yuusuke to listen some music. Shintaro then smirks at irritated Shin. Shintaro happily says that he is very excited over the music cafe since Maria will be saying, ‘Welcome, master’. Yuusuke asks Shintaro what his class is doing. Shintaro says that will be a monster room with vampires, etc. Yuusuke says that he will check out Shintaro’s class. Shin then notices Maria looking at him. The two slightly blushes. Shin then whispers to Maria, “Kawai..thank you for listening to my concert performance. *Maria looks surprised* I’m sorry about last time, for saying a lot of cruel things.” Maria says no, but rather it’s her fault.
Maria then asks him about choosing Ave Maria for that is the first piece they did together and she has already heard the music. Shin asks if she meant that villa collaboration they did before, that is Bach. Shin plays it on the piano. Maria says that since he said Bach, could it be there are others. Shin says that there is also Schubert, Mozart and many other versions. While everyone including the two other boys are listening to Shin’s playing, Maria happily says that it is a totally different music. Shin says that is right for even if the melody isn’t the same, but the lyrics for all version is the same. Maria is extremely excited asks Shin if he can play other than Bach and it feels like the music is emitting light [/glittering]. She then touches his hand. The two blushes. Shin then says, “I..” Shintaro then violently pushes Shin away and exclaims to Maria not to play the instruments there and even if Ave Maria isn’t bad, he wants her to sing Ode to Joy. While Yuusuke is asking angry Shin if he’s alright, Shintaro holds Maria’s chin and says that it is because it is the song when he saw and fell in love with her on the television. “I took the exam to Touzuka [school] just to see you.” Maria slaps his hand away and exclaims in disbelief that he would do that just simply because of that. Shintaro says that is the song which his father really liked that he always heard his father sing that song. He happily says to surprised Maria, “So, I wish[/want] that there will be someone who’ll always sing it for me. It’s very strange though because my father is obviously a priest but he can only sing Ode to Joy.” Maria looks surprised that Shintaro’s father is a priest. Shintaro happily says yes, at Yokosuka* church. [*US naval base to the west of Yokohama, Japan/where Maria’s mother is from] Maria’s eyes widen as she mutters, “Yokosuka..?” Shin notices this then he realizes something. He quickly pulls Maria and tells Shintaro not to say anymore, they are leaving. Shintaro holds Maria back and asks why, please wait a minute. Shin tells him to let her go but Shintaro shouts that he doesn’t want to. Maria looks at Shintaro’s hand that is gripping her sleeve. She suddenly screams, “No..” in fright. This surprises everyone and Shintaro lets go of Maria. Shin holds her wrists and calls out her name. Maria says, “..Whr..Where is Augustine?” This surprises Shin. Maria then snaps out of it and looks at Shin. She asks if she just said something. Shintaro starts apologizing to Maria for he didn’t plan on forcing her. Maria tells him that isn’t but rather, she suddenly feels faint and perhaps she is going to have a cold. While Shin is still holding her wrist, Maria apologizes and says that she’ll go home ahead. Shin offers to take her home. Maria tries to tell him that it is okay but he holds her tighter and insists that he’ll take her home. “Kawai, I’ll protect you. So, give your everything to me.”
And so, on the way home, Maria held hands with Shin. His grip gradually changes from shy-stiff to a strong one. It totally feels that he isn’t the usual Shin. That night, Maria cannot sleep as she kept wondering what Shin meant by what he said. She suddenly has a phone call. She wonders if it is Yuusuke but the number isn’t registered on her cellphone. To her surprise, it is Shin who asked if she is already sleeping. Maria sits on the side of the bed as she tells him no, she is still awake. Shin says that it is because she said that she feels that she is going to have a cold so he is worried. Maria says that she is fine now. She just felt dizzy at that time and she doesn’t quite recall it. Shin then tells her that he bought a new cellphone and this is his new number so if anything happens, she can just call him. Maria is surprised then she blushes over this. Shin then tells her that in the next school dismissal, they should stay together afterwards for practice and he also thought that Ave Maria is not bad at all. He also tells her that they can make that as a special song between them. Shin hangs up and wonders if it is unnatural that he said a lot in one breath. After Shin hangs up, Maria keeps on blushing as she cannot believe that Shin just said a lot of things that makes her happy that she feels dizzy and he really isn’t the same usual Shin. She thinks that it seems like her heartbeat is deliberately made to beat so fast that she couldn’t think of other things. She then sees little Maria with a teddy bear at the corner of her room. She is surprised. She rubs her eyes and sees that no one is there. She looks worried and tense. At the library, Maria is borrowing a book and Shintaro happily comments that she is really studious since there is no exam yet she is in the library. Maria tells an awed Shintaro that she is researching Latin to translate the Latin lyrics of Ave Maria into Japanese. Shintaro happily says that she is so serious. Maria says no, but rather, if she focuses her energy on something in front of her, she can disperse her attention [= not think of some other thing]. Shintaro kisses her forehead and says, ‘in front’. He tells her that if she feels uneasy, she can act like a spoiled kid [= be selfish]. Maria denies that she is uneasy but Shintaro says that her stubbornness is quite cute.
Walking at the hallway, Maria kept on denying that she is uneasy. She then spots Shin talking with a teacher. The teacher congratulates Shin for his concert performance and isn’t he thinking of studying abroad. His father had contacted the school about wanting Shin to go abroad within the year. Maria is displeased-surprised over this. Shin tells the teacher that even if his father suggested it, he doesn’t want to go. The teacher asks why. Shin says that it is because he has many things that he wants to do there and the cultural festival is coming up soon. Maria looks somewhat relieved. The teacher says that he doesn’t know well about specialization but shouldn’t so-called music be born within the person himself and the way he lives. It can expand his world and know all sorts of music. That must be what his father wishes. Maria is dismayed when Shin just says, yes.. Maria walks away while thinking that she doesn’t want Shin to leave but, if she is to think of what’s good for Shin. Maria is aghast and shock when little Maria, with a teddy bear, standing beside her and says, “Then, you will be left all alone again, Maria.” Maria mutters in shock, “..Augustine..” Little Maria says, “All your important persons are gradually disappearing from your side.” Maria shouts, “No..” then drops the book she is carrying as the papers inside scattered around. Tense and shaking from fright, Maria grips her fist and wonders to herself as to what’s up with her. “I’m so afraid..save me, Meguro.” In class, Yuusuke tells Maria that after school dismissal, she and Shin are going to practice in the second music room. They had asked the karaoke club to let them borrow it and it is lent to them only on that day for the two of them to use. Maria seems to be a bit puzzled since she hasn’t recovered from her shock. She finally get it when her friends are telling her to do her best and Shin has already went ahead.

At the second music room, Shin is playing the piano. Shin then notices Maria. He apologizes that he didn’t notice her earlier. They should start practice. Shin tells her that the piano hasn’t been tuned up for a long time and there are some keys [piano wire] that are somewhat rusty. Maria wanted to ask him if he is going to study abroad, going to that faraway place, but she decided not to because she cannot say ‘congrats’ if he says yes. Maria tells him instead about wanting to use Japanese in singing Ave Maria and her plans to translate it. Shin asks her if this is true for after all, Latin isn’t just English. Sparkling, Maria says that she will do her best. Shin pats her head and says that she is really amazing. This made Maria blush. Shin suggests that she sing then he’ll accompany her. While singing, Maria thinks that she really likes Shin. She feels that it would be great if they can be like that [talking a lot in the music room] forever. Remembering what Shintaro said about letting others spoil her, Maria stops singing and asks him to not go. Shin looks at her. Maria blushes really red and is surprised by what she just said. While covering her mouth, Maria apologizes and says that it isn’t so. She tries to leave while telling Shin to forget about it. [Note: Maria’s thoughts will be in ( )] Shin manages to hold her [hug behind] and says, “I’m not going anywhere. *pause* I..like you. Besides, there is also Yuusuke and Kurosu, Kousaka and Nakawa who like you. (Huh? Kanda? Kurosu? What is he saying?) Don’t forget that you are needed. (Why is he saying this right now?) Because you are irreplaceable. (Liar!)” Little Maria appears in front of Maria and says, “Because I’m actually a child who shouldn’t exist.” [The kid is really creepy as if she’s a ghost ^^;] Maria suddenly screams while shouting, “No, that child..” Holding her wrist, Shin shouts that it is alright and there is no one around. Maria frantically shouts that he’s lying for she sees [that kid] in front of her. Shin decides to calm her down by kissing her.
Shin still kisses her as he made her lean on the piano. After he breaks away, he holds her face and tells her, “Look at me!” Maria has somewhat calmed down and mutters Shin’s name. Shin says, “There is only me in front of you! There is no other person! Just look at me..do not think of any other thing.” Maria wonders why Shin is angry. Shin kisses her again. Maria wonders who is that kid she saw and that kid said that she is a child who shouldn’t exist. “I’m really confused now..” Shin make her lie down on the piano and asks her if she has calmed down. Maria didn’t reply. He kisses her again and confesses his love repeatedly. He admits that since long before, he had started liking her. Crying, Maria thinks that she likes him. Maria somewhat sits up and apologizes to him. Shin kisses her again but Shin is surprised when she keeps on apologizing. He asks why she is apologizing. Maria thinks, “I’m sorry, I’m this kind of person, sorry. Sorry, someone like me obviously always give you trouble, I obviously wanted to make Meguro happy..” While thinking all that, Maria keeps muttering about wanting to give something to Shin, and do something for him. Flustered Shin tries to ask her what she is saying, Maria repeats that she wants to give him.. This probably turned Shin on that he hugs her. Leaning her once again on the piano, He says that he wants her everything. While going for her neck, he apologizes that he cannot control himself. “I won’t restrain myself again, I absolutely..will not let you go again.” Unfortunately, that position and words are taboo to Maria. She remembers her mother trying to strangle[?] crying little Maria while saying, “I won’t let you go, Maria.” Little Maria cried, “Let me go, mama. No no, it’s heavy.” Her mother replied, “I don’t let you go, Maria, I’m sorry. Sorry, sorry, Maria. Let’s die together. They say that you are a child who won’t attain happiness. Even if you become an adult, there will also be no one who’ll like you. If you disappear, then there is no need for you to be hurt again. I won’t let anyone say that Maria is a failure.”
This totally shocks Maria that she kept on crying. Shaking, she thinks, “Sa..save me, save me, Meguro..” She mutters, “Wa..wai..wait..” Shin apologizes and says that he can no longer wait. Shin gives her a deep kiss. Maria is shock as she couldn’t breathe and thinks that she is going to be killed. Shin starts to put his hand under her blouse. Maria kept on thinking where Shin is. Shin finally realizes that something is wrong with Maria when she seems to be gasping for air. She starts asking where Shin is. Holding her, Shin tries to tell him that he is right there. Maria calls his name and hits the piano keys hard. The piano wire snaps and cuts through Shin’s palm to the wrist of his right hand. Shin looks at his hand in surprise which is bleeding. Shin looks aghast as the blood starts to drip on the ivory piano keys. Tears also falls on the piano keys. Maria remembers her mother saying that she couldn’t do it. “I still couldn’t do this, killing you. I’m sorry, *hugging Maria while her arm is bleeding profusely.* Sorry, I do not want to leave Maria alone and die..I’m sorry...” With that, the trauma is totally re-enacted. Still crying, Maria mutters, “There’s a lot of blood flowing from mama..” Shin looks surprised and holds her face. He worriedly asks if she remembered. Maria looks exhausted and she promptly faints in the arms of frantic Shin. Dream: At first it is dark but soon, Maria hears something singing the Augustine song. She sees a curly long haired woman who is singing while sewing a dress. Maria looks pleasantly surprised for she thought that woman is Anna and when Anna did came back. She is happy for Anna that she got her voice back. She is about to go to the woman but little Maria with teddy bear goes to the woman and calls her, mama. Little Maria asks her mother to hug her. Her mother happily calls her to come since she made a new dress for Maria. Her mother says that it seems that white and lace suits Maria. Little Maria tells her mother that she also likes lace. While Maria follows the two outside the house, she wonders if this is her mother and she gives her [Maria] the same feeling as Anna. Maria’s mother and little Maria greet a couple of mothers with their kids. A mother and girl are envious of Maria’s pretty new dress. Maria’s mother is very pleased with herself until that jealous mother says that they [Maria and mom] are obviously depending on bonds/dole-outs and that child [Maria] is obviously a product of rape. Maria looks surprised. The other woman exclaims in surprise over this and how could Maria’s mother even dare give birth to that child. The jealous mother asks if she didn’t know because it caused such a sensation at that time.
Little Maria got angry that they made her mother cry. This made little Maria shout at the woman not to bully her mother. The flustered jealous mother denies that she is bullying her mother. Maria’s mother tries to tell Maria not to say anymore but Maria continues to shout that ‘aunt’ [not related] is bullying her mother and the ‘aunt’ is a bad person for looking down on her mother. “That aunt is very ugly!” [And, it’s true] At home, crying little Maria tells her mother not to cry and she is a bad kid. Her mother wipes her tears and hugs little Maria. She tells little Maria that she is wrong for the one who is ‘ugly’ is her [Maria’s mother] for she wanted to make Maria dress up a bit cute but she went exceed in doing so. “I’m sorry.” Flustered Maria just looks at the two. Then, there are scenes of little Maria helping her mother cut her hair short, little Maria answering back at some women gossiping over her mother who looks uncomfortable, Little Maria singing with her mother and Maria’s mother is aghast when some children are beating up little Maria in the playground while the mothers of those children laugh in amusement. Little Maria thinks, “Do not cry, mama. Smile, mama. Mama is afraid of people outside. It’s alright if I’m here. I will become strong. I will become strong and intelligent. I will protect mama forever.” Black and blue little Maria tells her mother that she is okay because she is very strong. While holding her mother’s hand, little Maria says that when [those women are] alone, no matter who those ‘aunts’ are, they won’t dare say anything bad to her mother. “They [kids] are really stupid, only able to imitate the bad things that the adults say. They essentially don’t have their own way of thinking!” At the house, Maria’s mother is holding a paper and laments that it is her turn to clean the park’s toilet again. “Why is it always me?” Little Maria tells her mother that they do it together and she likes cleaning. “Cleaning with mama is really fun. Why aren’t you happy, mama?” Her mother says that because they are cleaning everyday, Maria cannot go out and play with her friends. While Maria is mentally telling little Maria not to say it, little Maria tells her mother, “I don’t have friends and I don’t need them. Because mama doesn’t have friends either..” Maria’s mother cringes and cries. She shouts out loud, “I wouldn’t have become all alone if it isn’t because of you..” Little Maria is totally shock. Maria’s mother covers her mouth as she realizes what she just said. Her mother tries to say that isn’t true then she runs off while saying that she hates herself when she is like that. That made little Maria start to cry.
While looking at little Maria crying, Maria looks flustered. Maria thinks that it is the same at that time. “Whether it is Anna or mama, they were made desperate by me. I caused them to hate themselves. I’ve caused them to be out of the loop [/be isolated]. I actually did the same thing twice to the persons who are important to me..” Maria cries in her sleep. Flustered Shin, who is sitting beside the bed, wipes her tears away. Yuusuke comes in the clinic and tells Shin that the clinic doctor has contacted the hospital and Shin should quickly go. Shin’s wounds have been bandaged = first aid. Shin refuses to go but Yuusuke insists that he should because Shin’s wound hasn’t been treated well yet because that piano wire is sharp that it would seem Shin got cut by a sharp object. Yuusuke tells him that wound is very deep and there is rust that the doctor said he should go to the hospital. Shin still says that there’s no need. Yuusuke exclaims that Shin should go else what if he cannot play the piano again. Yuusuke is puzzled when Shin kept on insisting that he won’t go. Gripping his fist, Shin says that he wants to be there when Maria wakes up. He remembers the warning of Sister Sarah about Maria not knowing what it means to end one’s life when she is a kid but right now, she might commit suicide. Addressing Maria, Shin says, “I need to tell you ‘You are needed’ numerous times, so don’t die..” Yuusuke asks what happened for didn’t Maria just fainted upon seeing Shin getting injured. Shin is tight-lipped over it. Then, Tomoyo comes in to tell Shin that the school couldn’t contact his family. She then apologizes and asks if she disturbed them. Yuusuke says that it seems that Shin’s father is out of the country so he’ll go tell that to the teacher. Yuusuke just tells Shin that he’ll see him later. After they left, Ave Maria is played in the schools PA system as someone tells the students to go home. Shin looks at Maria and remembers her telling him that they use Japanese to sing Ave Maria. There is a scene of Maria happily singing it ~ ‘Blessed you, You aren’t alone. You are loved by others.’ Then, there is a scene of Maria crying and looking frantic. Shin grits his teeth and angry at himself about saying ‘not wanting to make her remember’ and isn’t this his nature. Shin starts crying that he is really awful. Narration: “During times, when whatever I do fails, I’ll slowly feel that I’m a useless person. But..never knowing my real self is such a painful thing.”
Carrying a cup of hot beverage, Shin goes in Maria’s room where Maria is sitting on the bed. Shin says he is coming in and says that it is already morning. “Didn’t you sleep again?” Maria looks haggard as she turns around to look at him. She mutters, morning. Shin says yes [it’s morning] and it has already been five days yet she still hasn’t properly slept. Maria says that she is afraid of sleeping for she only dreams about the past wherein she said a lot of cruel things to the people around her and with all that provocation, she is hated. Shin looks aghast-guilt but he forces himself to look okay. He tells her not to think of unnecessary things and just sleep. If she has a nightmare, he will wake her up. Shin is tense when Maria asks about Shin’s hand and when it got injured. Shin tells her that it is no big deal and she shouldn’t mind it. Maria starts muttering that she is in the music room, playing piano and blood. Maria looks at him in surprise when Shin shouts that this is just ‘reaping what he sowed’. Shin urges her to sleep and drink some tea he made. Maria believes that she definitely hurt Shin because at that time, she is confused when Shin is confessing, when she is really happy. “Because I always trample on other peoples’ feelings, it is inevitable that everyone hates me..” Maria lies down in bed to sleep. Shin goes out the room and sees a fax machine[?] with notes from Tomoyo. At school, Tomoyo looks at her cellphone and exclaims why she cannot contact Maria. She worriedly says that it has been five days already yet Maria isn’t answering her phone and she couldn’t find Maria in her house [no one opens the door, I presume]. Shintaro is also worried. Ayu tells Tomoyo that even if she tells her that, she has no way of knowing. While working on something, Ayu also says that it is obviously cultural festival so she is really busy. Tomoyo says that Shin hasn’t been coming to school either. Yuusuke says that he thinks that Shin is in Maria’s house. Shintaro exclaims in shock about those two being alone. Yuusuke continues to say that perhaps something happened that Maria [/Shin/both] couldn’t get in touch with them. Tomoyo says that she will go see Maria today. Ayu says that she will go too if Yuusuke is going. They are surprised when Shin comes in and tells them to go see Maria and cheer her up because if it is him, it seems to be a reverse effect and he makes her more depressed. Yuusuke asks Shin how his injury and if he went to the hospital. Shin just says, ‘ah ah’. Shintaro asks Shin what happened and please tell him about it. Shin agrees and asks Yuusuke to come along for he ought to tell things clearly [to Yuusuke/them]. Shin tells Tomoyo that he’ll leave Maria to her because he couldn’t give Maria a friend’s hug. Tomoyo looks surprised as if she realizes what Shin is implying. After they left, Tomoyo quickly exclaims that Ayu is going with her to Maria’s place now and Maria definitely needs them. Behind some buildings, Shintaro asks what did Shin just said. Shin says that he had been forceful with Maria and because of that, Maria remembered her mother’s suicide. “It is my fault that right now, Kawai won’t dare sleep.” Angered, Shintaro grabs Shin’s collar and asks why he did that. Shin just tries to say with a slight sad smile that it is his true self for he had pushed Maria down and wanted to forcefully make her his. Yuusuke suddenly punches Shin and exclaims, “Idiot..saying that you want to protect Maria is also your true self!”
At Maria’s apartment, Tomoyo is knocking on the door for Maria to open it. When she tries the door knob, she realizes that it is already open. While Ayu is commenting how spacious Maria’s house is, Tomoyo frantically looks for Maria. The two girls are in shock when they see Maria sitting on the floor with a box cutter. Maria is she poised to cut her wrist. Ayu quickly hits the box cutter away and shouts, “What are you doing, idiot! You..you..what are you thinking..” The worried girls are surprised when Maria mutters that she doesn’t know. Maria thinks that she doesn’t know. “Oh right, I dreamt of mama and Anna, I want to know what they were feeling [when they committed/tried to commit suicide]. If I did the same thing, I should know what they are feeling.” Ayu is aghast as she exclaims what kind of joke is this for the current Maria really infuriates her. “Even if I don’t know what’s happening..it is making me furious! Why are you so silent? Say something! *tense* Why don’t you answer back like you usually do!” Maria thinks that she doesn’t know what she is saying. Going to Maria’s side, Tomoyo tells Ayu that Maria cannot say anything since if one is depressed, one hates oneself more and makes one afraid to talk. “I know it. When she is bullied, it’s like this. Making everyone around feel that she has thorns all over her body and it is useless even if friends and family are there. She feels that she is hated by the whole world. *crying* She will become someone who cannot say out anything.” Maria thinks that someone understands her. Flustered Ayu exclaims what she meant and that is so strange since after all that has happened, and yet now, Tomoyo is saying that Maria is hated by the whole world. “Doesn’t she talk with such venomous words when she just transferred?! *at Maria* Saying relentless those sharp and unkind stuff..That’s the real you!” Maria thinks that someone is angry at her. Ayu exclaims for stupid Maria to answer back and say something to her. Tomoyo tells Ayu to stop and not to bully Maria like that. Ayu exclaims, what, does she still hold a grudge over the past and the past Tomoyo also infuriates her. Tomoyo says that it is because Ayu tends to bully like that. Soon, Ayu and Tomoyo are quarreling. Maria thinks, “I originally wanted to also do this, wanted to be like this with Anna and mama..this feeling, cry or get angry..and then..make them feel ‘forget it, it doesn’t matter’ and acknowledge that oneself is useless.” The two girls notice Maria flips her hair and slightly leans her head to the side. [=lovely transform] Maria says, “Of course, this young lady won’t let others hate her nor keep on being silent ♡” Crying profusely, Tomoyo hugs Maria. Maria apologizes to her. Tomoyo says that she doesn’t mind because Kawai is akuma Maria. Ayu hits Maria’s head and scolds her stupid. Maria apologizes. Narration: “And make them believe..oneself isn’t useless--.” There is a scene of Yuusuke telling Shin that he isn’t a person who’ll easily give up. Back to the girls, Tomoyo asks Maria what happened and Shin is really worried about her. Maria thinks that she wants to tell them everything regarding her feelings for Shin and her mother, these things that she has been thinking, and this thing that she alone cannot accept. When Maria is about to tell them, she realizes that she has lost her voice.
On the cultural day, the guys are surprised to learn that Maria has lost her voice. Ayu tells them that they brought her to the hospital and the doctor says that there is no problem with her throat physically. Yuusuke asks if it is the same illness as Anna’s. Tomoyo says that she doesn’t know but it is called ‘aphonia’. The doctor says that the reason might be because she had become overly excited or perhaps it is because of shock or she’s extremely nervous. Yuusuke asks if it can be cured. Tomoyo says that the doctor said that it should be okay when Maria’s mental state has stabilized. One cannot be sure if it will take just a few days or even a few years. Yuusuke[?] asks what is the factor needed is needed to get Maria’s voice back. Maria notices that Shin looks really aghast [<- guilt trip] Shintaro says that it is all Shin’s fault that Maria lost her voice. What Shin did to Maria has totally given a huge shock to Maria. Before he can finish, Maria quickly slaps Shintaro’s forehead. Maria pouts and blows her cheek [like a puffer fish]. Holding Maria’s puffed cheek with his fingers, Shintaro blushes and happily exclaims that Maria is so cute. Ayu shouts at stupid Erosu that it is so obvious that Maria is angry. She then asks what’s with his outfit. Shintaro says that he is playing the vampire, Dracula. Yuusuke says that they should just focus on the cultural festival and just think that Maria’s body ‘temporarily doesn’t want to talk’. “Let’s just wait for her to prepare her feelings [= be ready] and she’ll definitely can talk naturally again so they’ll just have to be patient.” Maria looks at him and forms a ‘circle’ with her hand. [I think ‘o’ means okay in Japanese but usually done over the head.] Yuusuke smiles and asks if that circle means she approves of that. Maria forms another circle with her other hand. Tomoyo sweatdrops and says Maria’s hand signals are very interesting. Maria thinks that she cannot talk has made everyone unhappy and although this is like running away but then, right now, she just thinks that this is also a kind of ‘lovely transform’. Tomoyo suddenly exclaims that she forgot to hand out the flyers. Maria taps her shoulder and gestures that she will do it. Tomoyo agrees with her and says that this is indeed a rare opportunity to publicize the maid cafe.
Outside, maid Maria is handling out the flyers. She thinks that she is able to give a flyer to all sorts of people. Is it because she is cosplaying or because she cannot talk? Maria bows when some girl says that she’s cute. A couple of lewd-looking guys ask her if she can give them a flyer for they wanted to be served by a maid. One of the guys says that Maria is staring at them but the other guy says that it is okay for Maria cannot say a word. The curly haired guy holds her shoulder and asks if she is cosplaying as a maid robot or a doll. He asks if she won’t say anything no matter what they do and it’s cute since she is afraid. Maria is thinking that from one look, these guys are weak and their hollow voices are just like some mean gutless guys. To Maria’s surprise and the two guys’ aghast, Shin appears from behind and holds the guy’s hand off Maria. Shin tells them that it isn’t because she is afraid that she becomes a useless person who cannot say a word. Shin looks serious as he grips the guy’s hand tighter that made the guy complain that it hurts. The guy says he knows already and sorry. Putting his arm over Maria’s shoulder, Shin tells her that she has distributed enough flyers, they are going. While walking away, Maria seems touched by what Shin said that she becomes teary-eyed. When they are in a place where no one seems to be around, Maria is surprised when Shin immediately takes his arm away from her. Shin apologizes for dragging her away because it really puts him in a bad mood when he saw some guy is touching her even if he had obviously done much crueler thing. Shin cannot look at Maria so he didn’t see surprised Maria trying to tell him that it isn’t so, it isn’t cruel and actually, she is really happy. As he turns around and walk, Shin is telling her to return to the cafe for it has already opened. He also apologizes for the Ave Maria that she worked hard on.
Wanting Shin to know her feelings, she suddenly rushes to him and hugs him from behind. This surprises-blushes Shin. Holding her hand, Shin tells her that her hand is shaking and there’s no need for her to force herself. Maria holds his hand tight to tell him that it isn’t so but she lets it go since Shin cringes in pain. Noticing that she looks surprised, Shin tells her that it still hasn’t healed completely yet and during crucial moments, he is always useless. Maria thinks, “It is I who injured Meguro. It is I who made him hate himself. Can I only just look at him like this? I.. *Maria looks down and gently holds his hand then she kisses his fingers* I..do not want that.” Shin blushes over what Maria just did. Looking determined, Maria grabs Shin’s shirt and drags him along. Maria brings Shin to the classroom. Tomoyo happily greets her and says that there are a lot of people who came and her giving away of flyers has been successful. “No wonder it is Kawai..” Maria gestures about playing a piano but Tomoyo thinks that Maria is saying that there is a spider around. While Maria tries to inform Tomoyo what she wanted, a couple of female guests say that according to the flyer, Meguro Shin will be playing Ave Maria so when will it start. They also say that they are his fans from summer’s concert. They then scream out loud upon seeing Shin himself. Tomoyo apologizes that she forgot about that part still in the flyer and explains that Shin has injured his hand so he cannot play. The girl is a bit disappointed because his Ave Maria is so moving that she wanted to hear it once again. Everyone is surprised when Maria starts playing the piano with one of her finger. A customer says that is a rarely heard and what that music is. Another one says that this is a music cafe. Shin starts playing with her using his left hand. Shin tells her that she’s really reckless. Maria just smiles at him. The customers realize that it is Ave Maria and it sounds good even if Shin just playing with his left hand. Shin is surprises when Maria starts to ‘sing’ [without sound] Ave Maria.
She thinks, “Because I know, he will definitely help me out [of trouble]. I also know I’m very dependent on Meguro. I’m very happy that you can always stay by my side. Because there is Meguro, I can do my best no matter what happens.” The customers wonder why there is no sound coming out from Maria. The others take cue from this. The waitresses sing Ave Maria with ‘lalala’ as initiated by Tomoyo while the others play their musical instruments. Maria’s song ~ “Ave Maria. ♪ Blessed me, I’m not alone, I am loved by others..♫ those whom I love are also loved by others, you are with me forever..♪” Shin looks at singing Maria then he looks surprised. The customers applause and says that it is like a choir cafe. Ayu tells Tomoyo that she sang ‘lalala’ throughout the song. Tomoyo says that it is because she doesn’t know the lyrics. While there is some noise of others asking where the music cafe is, Shin looks at Maria and says that she changed the lyrics just now. “You have changed the ‘you’ to become ‘me’ and made it into, ‘Blessed me’..” Maria happily smiles at him. Shin blushes as Maria thinks, “I want Meguro to know, that it is he who make me feel that I’m blessed..I want to make him know that he is really amazing.” Shin suddenly grabs her hand and pulls her out the room. Yuusuke is smiling as Tomoyo looks surprised-blush. At the roof, Shin corners her by the screen wall thing and says, “Please, become my lover. *pause while the two are breathing hard from running* I always didn’t dare say it. I’m always in anguish when Mouri [Anna] and the nun hindered me. The truth is I..really really wanted to hug tightly..” Maria suddenly hugs him tight. She thinks, “Don’t say it anymore, please, hug me now..” Shin hugs her and gives her a kiss. “Hug me always until forever..” At the door, somewhat scowling Dracula Shintarou is looking at them.
If you just read all that 20 pages worth of summary, thank you very much ^^ I guess for these two, this is like a 'finally' for them. Finally, the message is sent across and ironically, it is when they lost something very important to them. Well, that made them sensitive to each other and more caring as they want to comfort each other of their respective loss. It is like they paid a price to get something else. I think that this is like 'the third time is a charm' because unlike Maria's mother and Anna, Maria didn't let things be with Shin. She learned from her mistake. She is now taking the initiative as he does and the two aren't running away anymore. Well, it seems everyone is happy for now except for Dracula Shintaro.
