Lately, instead of testing rice noodles, we have been stuffing ourselves with orange juice and apples. Hehehe Anyway, at least it is healthy. ^-^ I have watched Scrapped Princess for the second time again.
Robin: That is because most of the time, she kept on forgetting that it is on.
Hehehe...anyway, from the plot, it is about a princess who was thrown away for some reason. Bare with me since I cannot understand Japanese and without subtitles, it would be mostly guesswork. This anime is fantasy which somewhat reminded me of an rpg game like Tales of Destiny. She was traveling with two people in a carriage. A guy who is somewhat like Tamahome, basically the hair – short but have a long hair tied at the back. ^^; Then, the other one is a girl. A guy who looked like Gambit with that black thing on his chin and reddish eyes but have Sanzou’s hair of Saiyuki stopped them on the road. He controlled them and they left with him. The blond girl [main char] panicked and tried to look for them and met with another guy who seemed to be her friend and was practicing some sword skills. She managed to convince him to help her find them. She did find them but at that moment, the ‘Gambit’ guy seemed to want to brainwash them.
’Tamahome’ guy somewhat got possessed and had greenish eyes then slashed everything. Then after he went back to normal, a little girl appeared who seemed to explain where he got his power. They continued their journey as the ‘friend’ went off. In some castle, Waya-looking boy [of Hng] who seemed to be a prince was discussing some things. The art seemed a bit familiar though.
I actually surprised myself for kept on guessing what will happen next in Rave. So, Ellie managed to fight back at narcissist guy and when he gets mad at her, she gets scared. ^^;; Then, Griff got slashed though I somewhat dread a corny idea of becoming two since it seemed to be made of gelatin. I thought Ellie would already activate the Ethelion within her but then, if it did, that’s the end of the story. Haru tried to delay the enemies by fighting back which made me switch channels for a moment and sing a long with FF9 song then went back to see him exhausted. He was about to be killed and as my prediction, Sieghard came to the rescue. I’m disappointed that they didn’t give him a new wardrobe. Curiously, he can blast all of them at one go while they can defeat Haru. So, who’s stronger? Sieghard most probably but he doesn’t take things too seriously sometimes. I think he just lack foresight. So, what will happen next? Would it be as Asher said, he wanted to be the one who would kill Ellie or my theory of sparing them since blond devil is on the loose? I just hope that he doesn’t join the group but then if he did, he would most probably hang around with Musica and Let who are the mature ones in the group.

Last Saturday, we slept late because we are doing the final touches to make our house look nice for the engagement. At about 5am yesterday, I heard Shuichi and Yuki yapping. I cannot quite get to sleep. Then, at 630am, K shot me out of bed because he had mistaken me for Shuichi. ^^;; Anyway, I got prepared since the make-up artists are here already. My make-up was light and my hair looked like I have two horns. Hehehe
We were able to finish early but sis’s bf and family were late because ‘they replaced something’. When they returned, we started to display their gifts except for the boxes of food like fruits, candies and cookies at the back since it won’t fit in our small living room. ^^;; We served them softdrinks then later on, sis arrived by walking backwards from the room. After that, we made a mistake since it should be putting on the corsage first. I tried to tell them but an aunt said it should be the bracelet first so I didn’t press on. The first blooper was that the bracelet wouldn’t open. ^^;; It is a traditional Chinese engagement bracelet composed of two bracelets tied with red string which shouldn’t be removed until they get married. The screw was stuck and in the end, sis just pushed the bracelet in so her hand had red marks on her hand.
Then, the rest of the jewelry like watch, necklace with gold pendant, and ring. I have to hold on Nami before she starts taking them. Hehehe After that, sis served the guy’s side with tea that have dried red dates and sugar candy. It is vice-versa for sis’s bf. After that, they ate hard-boiled egg in sugary water and rice noodles with meat and vegetable toppings. After that, we went to the hotel for the party.
We ate Chinese food lauriat which made Luffy and Tsuzuki happy. At the end, sis and her fiancé [upgraded title ^^] said thanks as the guests said congrats. One tried to escape as in eat and run. It was egoistic uncle who walked really fast and murmured what he was saying. How rude. I wonder if it got filmed. My cousin photographer had to ask him to do it again because he wasn’t able to take a picture of it. Anyway, everything did go smoothly. After that, we had a bit of photo shoot. I went home earlier since I’m tired already for those high heels are killing my feet or rather my feet are already numb.
In Yugioh, I presumed that in the last episode, Jounouchi won the last battle that had sent Lester to the clinic and somehow, they now know who the true Malik was. He was all looking freaky here with that eye thing on his forehead [forgot what it was called but it is usually seen in Egypt] and hair are all up. He tried to kill his brother maybe for his mistake but he is in the next round with Mai [who looked like a female version of Yugi ^^]. Mai was leading until Malik uses his scepter to change the atmosphere and make every time Mai uses an attack, make her forget her friends. I think it is somewhat like an illusion. Mai then cannot remember how Anzu looked like.
In Rave, I missed one episode but Asher told me that Let just turned human and got defeated. Then, today, Musica learned that the green haired woman [ I forgot her name] also uses silver then she hated his master for she assumed his master to be the source of her problems. As a gentleman, he let her beat him until he realized that there is a possibility that it wasn’t his master’s fault so he went back to going on defensive and it cost him. He got slashed from shoulder to thigh.
Zoro: She suddenly had a flashback of what has happened to me. Wait till I get that Mihawk.
You still have a problem with Eneru. I made a mistake for it turned out that Zoro is still alive. Gomen, Zoro. ^^;;
Zoro: Don’t do it next time or I’ll slash you. I won’t die until I had my re-match.
Hai. I wonder if it would leave a scar on Musica and the last scene was that all are down and they are going to kill Elie who was suppose to be all brave now because of her last declaration but she is looking scared and waited for her fate. ^^;; In CGT, the first episode was a recap of everything with Takeshi’s grandfather who dressed like Kouya. He mentioned that Takeshi is Kouya’s soul mates. Hehehe Then, the next episode was they went to Singapore for the Asian Crush Gear Cup. Kouya’s gear box was mistakenly taken by a fruit vendor so he chased it and met some Chinese kids. One stole his gear after saving it from the lions. They fight a game but the others interfere. So, it was already night and he is hungry. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t know where their hotel was.
Gender Wars have ended already. Well, just like in Shakespeare tale, the eldest got the best husband for he treats her like a queen. Everything went well though I think it was abrupt for it didn’t seem that it would still run until I saw the end at the last scene. There was this Filipino soap wherein the villain was intelligent. She is bent on destroying the kids whom I think caused her sister’s mental condition. Like Nakago of Fushigi Yuugi, she creates situations to make the victims self-destruct. She exposed her younger sister’s secret relationship with ex-bf of elder sister and told them that she didn’t know. She then tried to ruin the elder sister in a company for showing pictures of the sister being a prostitute before. She did it to provide for her siblings. Then, she indirectly hired the elder sister to her shop, had someone blame the sister for stealing her ring and she should pay for it. She freaked out and made her younger sister’s life more miserable that the younger sister snapped that she hit her elder sister.
The elder sister threw her out of the house. Then, the villain hired a guy to tell elder sister for a one-night stand so she can pay for the ring. She hired some corrupt police to threaten elder sister so that she would agree on the one-night stand. And she did. The villain then sent the prostitute pictures to the younger sister who was shocked because her sister kept it a secret. Along with the pictures, a note saying where to find the elder sister and the younger sister went to find out the truth. At the hotel, she knocks and the one who opened it was her elder sister wearing just a blanket. Hehehe And well, the last scene was the younger sister got herself drunk as the elder sister was worried what she might do. The villain is happy about everything and would make a part 2 with the guy she hired. It is ironic that she is busy trying to ruin the lives of her sister’s enemies when the one who will take her own happiness is right under her nose. ^-^

I have finished the ghost stories book. I'll brief the stories here. Vernon Lee's A Wicked Voice is about this musician being haunted by this singer's voice who had powers to kill a person until it ruined his life. Alernon Blackwood's Running Wolf is about a camper who met a wolf who acted like a human. The camper helped the spirit of the Indian who was cursed as a wolf, be put to rest. The Tomb of Sarah by F.G. Loring is about putting a vampires to rest. It reminded me of the scene in Dracula wherein Lucy was staked.
The two stories that I don't quite understood are Walter de la Mare's All Hallows which is about a haunted town and The Extra Hand of H. M. Tomlinson which is about a haunted ship. The Beast of Five Fingers of W. F. Harvey is about a possessed hand which reminded me of the hand in Addams Family. I forgot what it was called. ^^; In the end, the hand killed off the last descendant of a clan who tried to 'kill' it. The Daughter of Rameses by Lord Dunsany is more on the affair of an Egyptian princess with a poor boy. Not really scary for the narrator sought the help of a medium to tell the history of a mummy and the ghost appeared to tell her tale.
Sir Hugh Walpole's Mrs. Lunt is about a guy who was haunted by his wife whom he killed. The Buick Saloon of Ann Bridge which is about a car whose former mistress's voice could be heard by the new owner. I like this one. She went to Peking to join her husband, Jim and got herself a Buick. She would often hear a French lady talking especially when she is driving certain areas especially at the polo club. She learned that the French lady is having an affair and Jacques, the man she loves, like the main character plays polo so she somewhat empathize with the lady.
She became curious who the lady was and her lover that she asked questions. She learned that the lady was a Countess who later left the country because she has been ill because of the east 'air'. The voice then sounded distress because she would be leaving her lover and so the main character decided to go the secret place where the two always went. She knew where it was from the voice. There, she saw an engraving of the couple's names as the voice said. To her shock, it turned out that the lover was her husband. Hehehe...I love this story. The end was a nice twist.
The White Road by E.F. Bozman is about a ghost walking with the narrator then possessing him later on to apologize to his lover for not showing up on the day when they should meet. Lastly, The Earlier Service by Margaret Irwin is about a girl who could see the ghosts of what happened in the church before of devil worshipping until in the end, I think she exchanged spirits or something with the sacrifice victim before. Sigh, sometimes, that is why I don't like short stories since I cannot understand and it makes me think, what happened next, that's it? As if there is no conclusion.
In Rave, the blond devil [ the author must have mental block here for not even naming a character is a creative way] is the new nemesis of Haru who seemed more powerful and he is the opposite of Haru's power. Unfortunately, this guy has bad taste in women since he like Ellie. He stole a kiss from her and left. She cried like a person who was raped for about the whole next episode as the others are fighting with their new enemies. Then, she resolved to waste her bullets by firing up the air to declare that she doesn't want to be saved and protected always. If this is realistic, the bullets would have fallen back on her and the group, and they would all be dead.
Robin: Sadist.
Hehehe...anyway, Let, their dragon friend took the spotlight from her by wanting to transform to something else to kill his enemy. As usual, just think of his loved one, and the impossible can happen even though he was deep fried already by his own doing. As usual, just when I thought that something good will happen, it falls flat on its face. ^^;;
Sigh, the batch ml is only talking about babies, pediatricians, babies, milk, baby clothes, and more babies. ^^;; That is a pretty good way of making a person who is single, out of place. I'm planning to sub out of it already but then maybe wait until I knew what has happened in the reunion regarding the yearbook.
Oh ya, I'm been reading this 'Utopia of Homosexuality' [Korean manhwa]. At first, I was a bit hesitant because of the title, it turned out to be 'clean' since it is about this lesbian who had a gay who are best friends. They helped each other out in school that some people thought they are a couple except with opposite genders. ^^; As of now, the lesbian is chasing a girl whom she likes but is deterred by a guy whom she was always with. She have to also struggle over her bully sister. The gay had thought that a boy was the one whom her friend wanted him to investigate and it turned out to be the wrong guy. Hehehe The gay even had a PS2. He bought it just to see Tidus of FFX. ^^;;;
I forgot to write about Gender Wars. The eldest sister finally got married. It was a bit funny when she said she was in a suicide mission to please the adults. I think Koreans are extremely obedient of their parents and elders based on the dramas they show. There is even a special kind of bow they give as a greeting of respect. Anyway, her two younger sisters are having a bit of marriage problems. I suddenly thought that this could be loosely based on Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare. ^-^ Anyway, we'll learn soon if she is happy as she told her mom, if the marriage fails, she will blame her mom but if it succeed, she will pay her. ^^;;

Our cable finally got fixed today. It might have something to do with the brownouts and the company wasn’t able to fix it immediately since it is their policy to have the same repairmen to work on it.
Rave is hinting some important stuff but there are still a lot of corny clichés they kept on using that makes the episode boring. I stopped watching the Korean drama Woman in Love since it has became realistic like, yes, you get married to the poor guy whom you loved but the in-laws are making your life miserable and the guy isn’t defending you. ^^; It was like she jumped from the pan into the fire. I just ask my mom what happened and maybe watch if the ‘hardships 2nd time around’ would be over. My sister guessed that maybe in the end, the two sisters wouldn’t end up with anyone. The other sister got her revenge on her husband who embezzles money in the hotel deal and faking his credentials.

Last Saturday, we went to a wedding fair in the late afternoon. Sis asked around for the different kinds of wedding pictorial and how to distinguish one from another. I think in most fairs, it is the photography booths that are visible. The main purpose was to see this bridal gown fashion show. We thought it was starting but it turned out to be a bridal lingerie show. It was my first time to see a fashion show. ^^;; The models are showing of their beautiful bodies but I think they don’t have the ‘look’. Actually, I thought they looked like prostitutes whom I see when we drive by this street –Ermita- where there are lots of them. As if to disguise, they put on really long eyelashes and thick make-up. One of the poor girl’s get-up, which was like a chiffon bra, was falling down that I could see her nipple.
The bridal gowns shown are okay. The first models dress was too long for her and she kept on tripping. I thought she was just a replacement because she seemed to be a bit irritated for she isn’t smiling. The others smiled only when they have reached the end of the ramp. There were a few which smiled throughout so the ‘dress mood’ seemed to look more nice as if the dress was nice. The most memorable dress was the white pumpkin with skirt. We wondered where would her hands be then, at the end of the ramp, she opened her pumpkin coat and reveals a bikini bra inside. Hehehehe Then, we went for dinner then home.
The next day, I went out with Asher. She let me borrow her Karekano cds and a HnG manga. Arigato. ^-^ I even managed to get her to buy a McDo kiddie meal just when she mentioned that she doesn’t want to be ambushed by a game tv host which was a promo of McDo. The free ‘toy’ was pokemon characters. The one I showed her was Pichu which is a cuter Pikachu. I have seen it or two of it in a Taiwanese channel. I don’t know their relation to Pikachu though. We basically walked around and chatted.
I managed to watch the first 3 episodes of Karekano twice. That is because I wanted to show it to my sister then remembered that my sister doesn’t like ‘hanging’ endings. ^^;; The story is about a girl who is different from the character she portrays in school to the one she really is at home then a boy got interested with her. He learned of her secret and one thing let to another. The girl somewhat reminded me of my self a little.
Robin: That you are a weirdo?
Other than that, I think I sometimes like to have the center of attention but I’m not that obsessed with it and I like to help people with their assignments and stuff that usually during exams, they called me for answers for the reviewers. Actually, that is the only time I had lots of phone calls. I kept on telling them the answers that I somehow memorized the answers. I was reflecting that I was doing that so that maybe they would want to be my friends and well, maybe not lose in touch after each summer break. Unfortunately, all turned out to be the opposite. I tend to be idealistic when it comes to friends and that would be the type you would see in One Piece and other manga, which are not tragic, of course.
Ironically, just when I got tired of ‘chasing’ friends God gave them to me just like that and most of them are through the email. So, arigato to you guys for making my life wonderful. ^-^ These are the few things that make me glad that I have lived out this ‘extension’ of my life.
Back to anime, most of the episodes lately in Rave are utterly stupid and corny. Today’s episode is somewhat gross for the fart of the three huge butt guys had saved the day. The only thing that is of importance here was that dark beings are still made by Sinclair?, the one whom the previous Rave master had failed to defeat. If I remember correctly, as in One Piece, a fart has nitrogen, which can cause a huge explosion if it is in the air. This was used in OP to create a larger blast. I wonder if in the spaceship that they are riding have an open stove from the kitchen. Then, Rave would have ended because they are blown to kingdom come. Hehehe Well, I wasn’t able to watch YugiOh and HnG because our cable is dead until now. The bad things about this cable were it is always dead, switching channels and sometimes, bad signal. Of course, the good things is that it has more anime so that is basically the reason I’m hanging onto it. ^^;
Speaking of One Piece, I read that Zoro just got fried by that lightning god. The nice part was that Zoro catches Nico before she fell to the ground. How nice of him. So, that means Nami and Viper are left. I wonder if Luffy survived though. As I said before, I’m rooting for Nami. ^-^ So you better do something cool or else!
Nami: *getting to hit me* Or else what?
Or else...nothing...^^;;

There is a story of animal abuse today in the newspaper. A family had this dog trainer whose brilliant idea of preventing a dog from swimming in the pool was to electrocute the poor dog if it jumps in the pool. The chain is made of metal and is connected to an electric socket. The couple was of course furious and wanted to sue the school. The trainer even proposed the idea to the couple but of course, they told the trainer not to do it but he did it anyway. So, as the poor dog was being electrocuted, he just stared dumbfound and must be thinking, I didn’t know that will happen. ^^;; The school offered to give them another dog but then as the couple would say their dog cannot be replaced. So, for dog lovers, be sure that your trainers have brains.
Then, there was this about an attempted suicide, saved by electric wires. Her reason was because she thought that her Internet lover had dumped her for lying that she hasn’t finished college. She really had just finished until elementary. So, when the ambulance took her in, they asked why she did it. She said that it was because of the guy. ^^; So the guy is now being questioned by the police. The poor guy just when he is just looking for love.
I haven’t been able to watch GTO drama since that channel is really blurry these days, much worse than before. The HYD/Meteor Garden drama is okay but the acting leaves much to be desired. They tend to pause at some times as if they are unsure what they would do or say next. In short, it is not natural or smooth.
East Coast is moving nicely. Teen problems seemed to be the focus of this manga. The main character had just committed murder to get have money for his friend’s bail. The other gangs are looking for him and he met someone who recognized him. But instead of killing him, the guy had an interest in him. ^^; They somewhat looked like Kira of AS here. His younger sister who hated their adopted brother had a crush on him now that he learned the he was a singer in a rock band. The main char’s girlfriend suspected him to be the murderer especially since he was missing during that time and he had dyed his hair but he cannot help but trust him. I’m a bit disappointed that she didn’t continue where she left, They, too, Love since she skipped from chapter 3 to 14. I wonder if there is a Chinese translated Korean manhwa.

Yesterday, I tinkered with the layout by putting the old layout up and replace a new part at a time while checking if it came out okay. Thank God, it worked. The idea came the other night; it just popped into my head.
I'm beginning to think that my fishes tend to die during the summer. Could it be the heat or as the fish owner said, it is because lately, during the mornings/afternoon, it is very hot then somewhat cool at night that the fishes weren't able to tolerate it. Well, the sensitive fishes. Two fishes have died. The other one was already sick but it was doing fine that night. The other one doesn't eat anymore. Our plants are getting fertilized a lot these days. ^^;
In my high school's ml, I tend to talk more with people whom I'm not close with when I was still in school. ^^;; I cannot even remember who they are and what they look like since they are acquaintances. They are talking about babies and work so I just talked about my niece and nephew since I don't have kids. The people from other classrooms tend to be more talkative than say, in my classroom so that is why I guess, there is nothing much to talk about with the people that I do know.
I think that men are quite vain these days. My sister's friend asked her to help him sell some cheap perfume at our store. The ones who bought them are the men who are hired to carry sacks of grains to a storage from a huge container truck. My sister even told me that those guys have a manicure every week and she even caught one of our men workers, plucking his eyebrow. @_@;;
Robin: Good for them, unlike you...
Well, I'm just not quite into it. ^^;; That is why sometimes when my classmate talked about gossips, clothes and etc, I tend to get bored. Later on, I learned to know a bit of such stuff since at least, I would have something to converse with if such topics do arise, except for gossips. I am not updated with the local stars anymore that sometimes when whiner was talking about a certain actress, I do not know who that actress was. ^^;;
On to anime, yesterday's Rave was something that is so dumb and silly that I wasn't able to bear watching it. It was about Plue and Grif, the gelatin. This episode doesn't seem to be leading anywhere that I even dread if the rest of the episodes would be about Haru before meeting Plue, Musica before metting Haru, Sieghart before meeting Ellie and Ellie before meeting Haru. Well, good thing that it didn't do that. The episode today was to find the other pieces of Rave while the dragon guy joined their group. They have to get Grif out since he and Plue ate at a store without paying. I think Haru should have asked for a detailed list of the payment since he wasn't sure why it was that costly. ^^; It was a bit easy to predict near the end of their theater act to earn money, which one would be the one who will earn them money.
I was thinking it would be either be Ellie and her silly dance or Plue. It was Plue. Evil Ellie would even use Plue as a dart. Won't Plue get hurt? What kind of master is Haru anyway, call the animal rights organization! It is a wonder how Musica was able to stand them, they didn't even pay his medical bills for helping them. Okay, if it was here, the hospital won't let him check out until he pays up. Hehehe
We have been eating stir-fry misua [rice noodles] for two days now. It is because we are testing which place's misua is delicious. During the engagement, after the ceremony of exchanging gifts, everyone will have a bowl of misua. The best misua I have tasted was made by my deceased grandmother, which she makes every time she celebrates her birthday. I missed it already. Speaking of engagement, from Woman in Love, I learned that the girl's side would give dowry as in each relative of the boy's side would be given a gift. The boy's mother did mention that they would have to give something but it wasn't specified.
In the story, the boy's side is poor and the mother had the gall to ask for things from the girl's mother who actually disapprove of the marriage for their relatives and said that money would be fine. Well, the girl's mother played a trick on them by giving them huge appliances, which doesn't fit the boy's house. ^^;

I had finished five Ghost stories already. I had skipped the first one since it used old English, which reminded me of Shakespeare and I get a headache deciphering what the author is talking about. ^^; I would get back at it when I finished the others. Poe’s Ligeia is about his beloved wife’s ghost possessing his new wife. It seemed a bit hanging since it just ended there. The Signalman by Dickens was okay and not that scary for it was about a ghost who was trying to warn the signalman of some danger which was unheeded or maybe it couldn’t be prevented since it could be fate. I was thinking that there is a movie somewhat like it but I cannot remember what. Le Fanu’s The Watcher reminded me of M.R. James’s style of story telling. This time, he tells more detailed about being haunted by a being could radically change a man and it detailed how he suffered because of a misdeed he had done before. It wasn’t that scary either because the little man who was threatening doesn’t seem scary except for his threats and well, since he was actually suppose to be dead.
The Dream Woman of Collins is about a woman whom a guy had dreamt and was trying to kill him. Later on, he actually met her and even married her to his mother’s dismay. In the end, the dream came true but he was able to grab the knife and kept it. The woman disappeared but still haunts him every time he sleeps. Bierce’s The Middle Toe of the Right Foot is a bit scary. A man had killed off his wife and two children because the woman had a missing middle toe on her right foot. He then escaped. After some years, there are three men who challenged/tricked this big man into the haunted mansion for a duel. They knew that the big man was actually the murderer. They left him in the mansion and the next day when the brother of the woman came to claim the property with the sheriff, they were surprised to find the murdered there, dead because of fear. The brother walked around and found footsteps in the thick dust of two children and someone with a missing middle toe on the right foot which he guessed to be his sister’s sprinting towards their victim.
Nothing much happened in Rave except how Siva [ex-Rave master] and Resha who made Rave had met. I was able to watch the drama GTO. They really toned this down and somehow whatever made GTO fun wasn’t there. This episode is on the computer genius who made a porno cg pic of Onizuka. When he was confronted, he just left the class and doesn’t want to return anymore. Onizuka learned that it was a fake because his friend cop told him so. He and the girl teacher tried to convince him to go back to school. Onizuka challenged him to a video game fight and Onizuka actually lost three games straight. The computer genius was then being bullied. He asked for Onizuka’s help but Onizuka didn’t saying what now, you are calling me a teacher? Then walked off, letting the computer genius be beaten to a pulp. The female teacher tried to convince him again to go back to school and Onizuka was outside his house sermoning him about what’s nice/fun about school – having friends and it isn’t fun to be a loner etc. He had raining effects with the help of two ex-prankster and the girl with a hole on her wall. In the end, it seemed that what he said had went in the the computer genius for he was smiling to himself.
I remembered now what I didn’t watch this before because it is a bit boring. Hehehe Anyway, the purpose here is to see the future leading men. The cop friend – Fujiki Naohito from Love Revolution – looked absolutely the same though I cannot see clear since we have a lot of snow on that channel. His scenes are also quite short. The computer genius is Yosuke of LLR. He looked quite young here and I almost cannot recognize him. He was quite thin here and well, his hair is still a bit the same as in LLR, except all curly. He had this stance, which made me know that it is him. As usual, I like ‘Poison’ theme song of this drama. ^-^

Anime updates:Yugioh is becoming more exciting. Jounouchi managed to ward off Lester [ the guy who had marks on his face ] with the cards which he won against his past opponents so their ‘life’ is almost the same. It seemed that all of them are thinking that Lester was Malik since he had the millennium scepter. Malik was actually in their group and just mentally communicating with Lester. It turned out that Lester was Malik’s eldest brother and is quite protective/obedient to Malik. Lester let out his scorpion ‘god’ and I was thinking, let me guess, it is scorpion king. ^^; Anyway, it eats the cards of Jounouchi as it morphs. In the end, Jounouchi had reside to his fate that he is defeated and hinted that Lester isn’t Malik since he isn’t cruel enough as before. This made the real Malik on the defensive so he told his brother to make the ‘god’ card which I think can give untold suffering to the victim, to ‘kill’ Jounouchi instead of the scorpion. The episode ends there.
In CGT, I’m convinced that Kouya is indeed the youngest here. His boasting of how good his gear was had destroyed it for too much usage of its technique. He cried his heart out as he wrecked his brother’s masterpiece gear. I wasn’t able to watch Koruda’s re-match with billiard boy who looked like Wufei of GW. Then, it was Jiro’s game. Kouya still fixing his gear as the other prepare for the game. Takeshi overheard their problem and faced Kouya. I was thinking that he might gloat but he didn’t. He grabbed Kouya and put him in front of the tv to see Jiro’s fight. He said something about being with his friends as important in a gear fight. Kouya remembered that his brother told him the same thing. I’m now wondering if Takeshi left their team so that Kouya would learn from the start and not depend on him – something to that effect.
Well, Kouya made Jiro angry about not performing well since Jiro would give the excuse that his arm is still injured. Jiro punched him and totally forgot about his injury and performed well. It is cute when Kaoru knew what Kouya did though Kouya seemed clueless about it. I think they look cute together. Well, Jiro tied the game with his former baseball teammate. He left him with the baseball for his teammate would be going overseas. Next battle would be Jin unless Kouya’s gear is fixed. And in Rave, Gail fixed whatever problems he had with King. They became friends again just when one is dying. ^^;; Then, Gail died while trying to save Haru’s life.
In OP, just read that Robin got toasted by Eneru. =( I wonder if Luffy is still alive inside the snake after it being fried and would he really go out of the ass of the snake. Hehehe Many people in the ml, hope that it won’t be like in the past eps wherein Luffy just pound on Eneru himself and it is finish. I do like the idea of Nami actually doing something as in maybe be the one who will defeat Eneru since her clima tact have weather. And well, Zoro can use his katanas for lighting rod. Let’s just see what happened next.

I went to get another fitting yesterday. The dress wasn’t the design which I thought it would be. The folding of the cloth was way to tight that it didn’t look natural fold. I think it is because the cloth was too short or well, the designer cannot do it. Anyway, it wasn’t that awful nor was it that really good. As mom said, it is somewhere in the middle. Then, we went to SM Megamall. They were thinking that since it is a Saturday, there might not be too many people but it turned out that there are since there is a sale. ^^; So, I had to stay with sis’ bf in a restaurant which have fewer people. We only got out of there when there are less people walking around since it is late. To pass the time, we ate dinner and I told him about the antics of GTO. ^^;; He tends to like silly things – Mr. Bean. Hehehe The only shop that I went around was Powerbooks.
There was a really expensive book there on Flash MX and Photoshop. I hesitated to buy since I don’t think I have the discipline yet to actually go through the book. The other books I have bought are collecting dust somewhere in a shelf. ^^;;
Kenshin: *dusting* Yup, don’t buy anymore...to lessen the books I have to clean.
There are a lot of how to draw manga books lately. There is even the thin version one which was involved in a on-the-spot manga contest. I checked it out and the art seemed a bit Americanized. The authors are Western. The how to draw manga which I want to buy didn’t have the volume 1 which was the basic. They, and most bookstores only have volumes 2 and 3. The price is also quite expensive about 950 bucks. That could buy about 4 chinese manga. Oh well, I restrain myself and just concentrate first on the ones which I have already bought.
Today, I went with my father to the Chinese library which was at the building where I planned to study but unfortunately, not yet enough students to start a class. I glanced over all the books there. Yes, there are some manga but almost never heard except Sanctuary and well, the ever popular with kids, Doraemon – complete set. There are some English books there but that would be about 5% of all the books there. I borrowed a collection of ghost stories book and this Taiwanese manga by Alice Chang. It is about women desperate to get married and it reminded me of whiner. ^^; Here is a short prologue:
Girl: You haven’t said the three words yet.
Boy: (soft voice) I love you.
Girl: I cannot hear it, too soft.
Boy: (shouts) I LOVE YOU!
Girl: Too forceful.
Boy: Marry me. [ In Chinese, this can fit in three words, jya gei wo.]
Girl: (jumps on the guy) Really! REALLY!!
So, just say the magic words and the girl who was longing for marriage would be happy. It is mostly about man and woman relationships but with no plot. Just different stories of people and from the authors experience, I guess or her friends’ experience. I don’t really understand much really. ^^;;
There are some yaoi manga in the library, too. Hehehe I decided not to borrow it yet since I have to use my father’s library card and there might be some raised eyebrows. Hehehe Most manga available there are one shots or short ones. There are some Chinese novels, too. Ya, unfortunately, I cannot read them. There was one which I have seen an anime of it, The Giant Eagle and its companion or Condor Hero by Jin Yong. I haven’t followed it though. Hehehe It is basically a boy always with this beautiful girl. I browsed the novel and the front pages have some cg settings of it. I think this have been made into an rpg.
The other night, I had seen a funny clip from Vancouver film school. I forgot the title. There was this girl who was trying to sneak into a lab. Then, she found a button, which warned her not to push it. She pushed it anyway and the door opens. It was a cute puppy. She patted it and it became a monster complete with drool ala Alien. She quickly ran away into another room and block it with a huge wood. She turned around and sigh which quickly turned to shock for the room was filled with the same puppies and they are crawling towards her. The last thing that was heard was a scream. Moral lesson: Follow instructions or beware of the consequences. Along with it was this Tokyo Tribe manga which is making waves in Japan since there are a lot of merchandise on it. The plot is basically rival gangs and the main one is SARU. The poster had the characters holding light sabers and the style is hip-hop. It will be made into a game and an anime would be around the corner. The funny part here was a guy wearing an animal mask which covers his head and nose. I was thinking that he was the writer – hiding his face. ^^;;
Lastly, the Korean drama had ended in the sometimes good and sometimes bad signal channel. It will be replaced by GTO – drama series. Nice. Now, I’ll get to watch it from the start. Last Friday, my highschool batchmate with her boyfriend visited me. She just quit her job because of health reasons and now doing parttime work as a pre-school teacher. She introduced me to her boyfriend. I told her to go to the reunion to ask about the yearbook. I learned that the guy who had the money currently stays in the US. Another batchmate thought that maybe he used the money to buy himself a car. ^^;; Then, someone in our batch created a mailing list. One wrote about getting married on Oct 2001 then having birth on Nov 2001. I do not know if I should ask if this is a typo or she got married when she is about 8 months pregnant. Hehehe
Robin: Well, she did asked and it was a typo.
Friday, May 2, 2003 @ 04:10 p.m.
Yesterday, I had a haircut then went to my hyper aunt’s ‘bon voyage’ party which was actually just one table. The one left since her son’s wedding. That restaurant’s policy is that if you didn’t use up all the tables, you can use it for another time unlike in hotels, you cannot – bring all the food home which you might as well give to others since you would get sick of it since there are lots. She will be returning to Canada this Saturday.
At the parlor, I was reading a magazine about this ritual of Japayukis [ women entertainers in Japan ] when they are having sex. I find it interesting and it was a guy magazine. The ritual is about a small towel [ like the napkin when one eats] which is ‘served’ hot before the intercourse and ‘cold’ [ if it is winter] after. The article just mentioned how it was learned by the girls which are from Filipino bands before who have gigs in Japan. It didn’t mention how it originated in Japan.
Then, on the way home last night, we are driving through a one way street when a taxi is blocking the way. We waited for the taxi to back out since he was in the wrong way. Later on, the passenger emerged and seemed to be drunk. Then, the taxi backs out and went to another way, which was also one way – he is going the wrong way. I guess he must be scared. I was looking at the passenger and saw that he was reaching out for something from his pockets. I quickly told the others that the guy has a gun. He was showing it off to some security guards at a restaurant. Sis’s bf, the one driving, said that he didn’t pay the taxi driver and must have forced the taxi to go that way. I was thinking either that or the taxi driver didn’t know the ‘rules’ in that area. So, it is better to be patient at those kind of times for if we had beep our horn and irritated that guy, we would have been shot at as some people here had.
When I watch Rave, I cannot help but make up stories on it. There was a scene when Ellie finally reached the stairs then there was an explosion. I was hoping, won’t it be funny if she fell down the stairs because of the impact of the explosion and have to climb up again. By the time, she climbed up the ‘dark being’ would have exploded and the end. Also, I think the characters are liars or fail to estimate their supposedly most powerful blow. Why? They tend to brag that this is the ‘last blow’ and somehow, they failed to deliver. What, still alive? Gail kept on ranting about why this had happened etc. I want to get a huge club and hit him. It was his fault and he was the one who recruited King then left so making King do anything he wants. Then, Gail caused his family to be killed and he was asking why King was doing all this. Obviously, King was mad at him since he practically ruined his life. He had nothing to go back to and it was his ‘best friend’ which ruined everything because of his supposedly ‘good’ ways. King did have a point of getting any kind of jobs just to feed the people in the group. Gail doesn’t want that. I was thinking, sooner or later, the others would have wanted Gail’s head for he was making their families starve. So, he shouldn’t kept on asking why this and that, it was his entire fault.
I managed to watched an episode of Ninja Scroll [tv series] Jubei was chased by this white haired guy who had an orb as an eye. He uses the orb to flash a light then somewhat transports the victim to some dimension then attacks. Jubei was caught in that once. He seemed to be protecting this girl who had a boy and an old man as her companions. In the end, Jubei slashed the guy and stopped the spider woman who was in love with the white haired guy. She was screaming that she would have her revenge. In the end, the girl wanted him to join them in her journey but Jubei said, no thanks then left the other way. As usual, there are lots of blood here and really ugly enemies in this anime. That spider woman really gives me the creeps. She had lots of stitches all over her body and little arms comes out of her breast. Eww..
I have finished the paper work for sis’s bf this term. He changed the agreement to do papers until he graduates. ^^;; I did think so, too. He even jokes that if he would study doctorate, I could do some paperwork there too for a PS3. hehehe Anyway, it was a good thing that I forgot the last paper since the teacher changed his mind and skipped that one as in it no longer have to be passed.
Whiner has been pestering me again lately. Every fight and little thing that happened to her have to be reported to me. I guess this is because her birthday is coming soon. She claimed to have given up having a boyfriend but from the way she tells it, I’m not convinced since she kept on whining about it that she seemed to be trying to convince herself. There was suppose to be a high school reunion this May but it turned out that it would be held on the day before my sister’s engagement. Too bad, I cannot go and well, I don’t have a car to go there. Don’t even know the place. ^^;; I’m foreseeing that I won’t be able to go out lately especially to crowded places since my parents are getting paranoid with SARS.
Wednesday, April 30, 2003 @ 06:23 p.m.
Just finished cleaning the aquariums. It took me the whole day because I had to replant the plants that had floated and there were lots. The discus are doing fine but a lot of other fishes died. ^^;;
Chopper: What kind of fishkeeper are you? Those poor fishies.
Gomen, I’m still not an expert. I would try my best though. I spent the last two days playing with FF6. The story is nice about Terra, who have magic powers and was used by the empire. Fortunately, the head band which controlled her was removed though she had amnesia. Together with Locke, a thief or treasure hunter, as he would say, and Edgar, a playboy king, they would go to fight the empire as Terra tries to learn more about herself. Edward’s twin, Sabin is quite funny, too. ^-^ I wonder if Celes was the girl whom Locke thought to have been caught or was it killed, by the empire. The only problem I have here is that there are a lot of random fights and that I tend to get lost a lot. ^^;;
Nami: Like a certain guy here.
Zoro: Why are you looking at me?
The local dub CGT would read near where Cartoon Network was. Nothing much happened except that Kouya’s gear is now a wreck because it could not bear the ‘pressure’ of the technique Kouya is using. There was a past episode wherein Kouya was defeated by a monkey. Now, that is humiliating. In Rave, Musica killed off the enemy in a cool way but then, his teammates tried to murder him since they didn’t get him treated immediately. ^^;; The poor guy. The evil guy now has an excuse as to why he wanted to kill Gail, Haru’s father. It was because Gail told him to the government but the government killed off his family.
I just learned that my niece is going to study cartooning. Kids these days really get a head start. I’ll just have to wait for her to finish then I would borrow her notes. World is upside down now, it won’t be long before I would start to ask how to do such and such to a kid. ^^;
Sunday, April 27, 2003 @ 04:24 p.m.
The layout will be like that until I figured out what’s wrong or if you do, tell me. I had finished watching the last two episodes of Scryed. Yup, the ending was what-the---. The two main characters just want to fight so blasted the rest of the enemies. They briefly say goodbye to their ‘girlfriends.’ Ryuhou told the doctor to go back to her parents but she wanted to be with him. Unfortunately for her, he seemed to like Celes better now since he did gave her life to him. Then, in the end, they wanted to know who is the best among them so they beat each other up. Of course, Kazuma won...the last scene was of his hand raised up then after the credits, Canamy said she had a dream then, it was Kazuma and with a slightly long haired Ryuhou still fighting. That’s it. It seemed that Cougar was Kazuma’s brother. Well, he died while watching the two ‘kill’ each other off. ^^;; Anyway, without those two last episodes, it was fun to watch this series.
This morning, I caught a Korean cooking show. They are talking about this dish which consisted of mung bean jelly, beef, veggies which was garnished with fried egg whites, egg yolks and roasted seaweed. The host said that this dish was always made during a political meeting before. Each ingredient has the same amount as the others so each political faction should contribute together to help the government – one dish. Then, the host said that in drinking liquor, Koreans tend to serve the other rather than pouring oneself own drink. Now, I know why in Korean dramas, they tend to do this. I thought it is just a kind of respect to the elders but the elders were doing that to the younger person. Lastly, one should use the right hand since when one uses the left hand, it is disrespectful.
I was thinking if in Japan, they do this, too, when drinking sake. The liquor, which the host served was in a teapot but I guess if outside, like in Korean dramas, it is a bottle served on a glass instead of a teacup. It seemed that during their engagement, as I have watched Gender Wars, they also give out watches. I wonder though about the groom giving money to the bride’s mother to pay off everything. In our culture, it was the bride, who has to pay for their share and well, the groom would pay his share. I think in case of the wedding, it is about the same. The eldest daughter said that the guy would pay for the furnishing since if they ever get divorced, she cannot get them back. Here, the girl would pay for all the furnishing and appliances for the new house while the guy would pay for the ceremony but of course, that is the strict tradition and now, that can be changed a bit to suit to one’s ah...economic ability. ^-^
It is rare to have engagements these days since the younger generation tend to skip it for it is quite expensive or well, something happened. hehehe I guess that is why we tend to forget the ‘proper rules’ on how to do it already like who needed to be serve first, who would bring out the girl from the room, who would give what to who and etc. On that last one, we kept on asking people that we got confused and we actually bought what the guy should have given my parents. ^^;;
In CGT, Kouya/Coya [ I kept on changing his name ^^;]started to have a big head and well, maybe a defeat or something would bring him down to earth. I was wondering the age gap between this groupmates since I tend to think Kouya is the youngest well, maybe aside from Jin. I’m a bit convinced that Korudo is the reincarnate of Zorro because there was a scene wherein he is fencing now. ^^;; Is the art of fencing related to kendo? I was re-reading my Gravitation manga and I checked on a site to see if the Chinese version has a new one. And it has. They have volume 10-11 already. Now, who would dare go to Hong Kong to get them for me? ^^;;
Ah yes, last night, I played FF4 again and tried one more time to defeat the boss. I leveled up every character by one then fought with it. Lo and behold, I wasn’t getting ‘killed’ and before I knew it, I finished the game! Yahoo!!!
Robin: Ah, it took you about a year already.
Hey, don’t spoil the moment. I was playing other games since I got frustrated with it. Anyway, there was a very, very short cg scene on various scenes of the game at the end. The characters are not that refined, say FF7. It would have been a good ending if I actually remembered what happened throughout the game. The plot is somewhat like Cecile used to be a ‘bad’ knight then became a good one. He then met friends and along with his lover, fought with some evil being from moon. There are some close calls for some of the characters but they did killed off one character. Anyway, it was a good story better than FF5. I tried to press my luck and tried to finish Vagrant Story.
Zoro: And you got killed off without even getting to the last final battle.
Hehehe..^^;; I somewhat forgot how to use the controls and kept on pressing X but it was suppose to be O.
Zoro: A likely excuse.
Well, whatever, I got killed off by one attack which tend to be long range. I really need to know if I can power Ashley up since just one attack, dead. I can only just pray that the enemy would not use his most deadly attack and it is unlikely that they would not use it. ^^;; I have decided to play a new game while trying to finish this game and FF5. I would play FF6 which was being mentioned by most people to have the best FF story since the new ones are supposedly based on it.
Zoro: Hopefully, you'll finish this one.
Hehehe...I hope so, too. ^^;;
Friday, April 25, 2003 @ 08:45 p.m.
Okay, the problem seemed to be in every entry I put in, the bio goes down. I tried to trace what is wrong but unfortunately, I have very limited background so I don’t know what’s wrong. ^^;; Everything is the same as before, I just changed the colors. Sigh.
In CGT, it turns out that the one whom Lilika was talking with was Takeshi. I wonder if they have a love relationship before and with Coya’s brother for it to be a love triangle. Hehehe
Robin: Don’t get ahead of yourself.
Anyway, today episode is their club having a tournament to have more members. All the boys are afraid of Kaoru. Hehehe One of Takeshi’s followers tried to expose that the prizes were a fake since Coya only put in the packages of the prizes. Coya defeated him in a game to shut his mouth and the others have to win, too or else, they would pay for the ‘missing’ prizes. Amazingly, Takeshi apologized for the behavior of his follower and even offered the money needed for the prizes. Lilika politely refused. Takeshi left and punished his follower for what he did.
For some fun, Rave. The enemy who was crushing Remi’s head was so slow that she have time to reflect before her brother came to save them. Pervert Griff suggested that Ellie expose herself to distract the enemy. She refused and I remembered Nami who actually did that but to the others. Hehehe
Nami: She just doesn’t have the body to show off. Of course, they owe me money for showing. *giggles*
Well, in this case, Griff formed himself into different shape and it actually arouses or amuses the enemy. ^^;; With a Plue attack, courtesy of Remi’s brother and a bit of Ellie’s guns, the enemy was defeated. Then, Haru defeated lizard guy with his new twin swords but he had to fight a mind-reader Samba guy. Of course, that won’t be a problem if his enemy was like Luffy who tend to have a blank mind.
Luffy: Yup, I’ll win hands down.
Musica is having a hard time with the one he is fighting with since he was the leader of the group they are fighting with. I was thinking, wasn’t that suppose to be Haru’s job? Oh well, maybe the author wanted him to face the major big boss like the King.
Friday, April 24, 2003 @ 7:29 p.m.
I’m having some problems with the layout since the bio part is way below that where it used to be. I still checking why was it like that since the code I had in the computer is okay but when I put it in pitas, it is different. My aquariums had moved again. Our house is never the same since the furniture kept on moving from one place to another that I don’t quite remember how it used to look like last year. Hehehe ^^;
I watched the rerun of Rave this morning. It amuses me that Gail, Haru’s dad would rather punch rocks with his fists rather than slash them with his sword. I was wondering if he was just scared of denting it.
Zoro: That goes to show how worthless his sword was.
Hehehe...and yours can already cut steel.
Zoro: Yup, since mine are special. I learn through techniques unlike a certain guy whose sword transform to have an edge against his enemies.
Haru: Hey, do you mean me? I won’t forgive you for insulting my Rave and my father. *brings out Rave* Let’s have a duel, you, always-lost-guy.
Zoro: *pops vein* Prepare to get hospitalized. *goes off the fight with Haru*
^^;; Anyway, the new opening of Rave showed Haru and the King fighting as Ellie tried to go to the top of the stairs. I was thinking, is this what will happen? Just like in the old opening wherein Ellie was electrocuted. This arc reminds me of the Ethelion arc wherein something is causing the end of the world, which must be stopped. I can almost predict that it will not happen or else, this anime have ended. I don’t think anyone would die since no one has died yet when they should be dead already because of their injuries. Ellie haven’t done anything yet and she wanted to save Haru. ^^; She cannot even save purple haired girl from their enemy. It is the usual fighting scenes with no really good ones as of now. Musica seemed to be the only descent character in this series. ^^;;
In CGT, it turned out that Jin and Korudo are quarrelling about the way to win either with chips/computer help or without. Anyway, both finally joined the group. I was thinking whom Lilika was talking to. Could it be the guy who looked like a girl and was the arch-rival of Coya’s brother? They are now going to a tournament. It could be where they have lost badly and that will merge with what is happening in Cartoon Network.
Yesterday, we called up our cable to ask where is CTS, the station which shows HnG and Yugioh. The operator said that she will check. At night, it was there. ^-^ Then, the one, which disappeared was the station which showed Scryed. ^^;; Good thing that it vanished just when Scryed ended not before. I haven’t watched the last two episodes yet since when I glanced at it, it was all fighting and fighting then at the end, it was somewhat open-ended.
This is old news but in the latest HK movie awards, Tony Leung won as the best actor of a movie, Internal Affairs, which he starred with Andy Lau. I read from a blog that it also won the other major awards besting out Hero. I have read at a site or was it on tv that the main plot was Tony was a police investigating a mafia and went undercover while Andy was a corrupt police. I thought that Tony’s role here is a bit like what he did in Hard Boiled with Chow Yun Fat. I missed that movie. From the news, I have seen most of the people in the awards are wearing mask and remove it only when they are onstage. It is because of the SARS, obviously.
The site where I used to get OP scanlations is gone. Just when I wanted to see Nami cream Luffy for making the snake eat her and company. Hehehe It is because Luffy was eaten by the snake without him knowing so the only way he thought of getting out of a ‘cave with no opening’ was hit the ‘walls’ with anything he can get his hands on. It gave the snake an upset stomach and so it tried to ease the pain by eating things and wrecking stuff. I wonder if they would get out as Luffy suggested which was out through the ass of the snake. That, of course, utterly disgust Nami. Hehehe. It made me think that ‘stupid’ heroes make good comedy anime and their fighting skills can be quite unpredictable which gives them an edge against ‘intelligent’ enemies. The finale of the Sky arc might be near as the major players are brought together by Eneru, ‘god’. I wonder how they would defeat him.
Ah yes, there was a part wherein Lucky was trying to warn Viper of the powers of Eneru but Eneru came and fried her just as Viper was watching that scene from inside the bars made by a cohort of Eneru. Viper just stood there even though a minor enemy had stabbed him. It was a really different reaction compared to the usual wherein he would be screaming or crying in anger. He just stood his ground and beat the crap out of the minor enemy as he was staring angrily at Eneru. Somehow I liked that scene.
Luffy: Weirdo...sadist...*looks at Zoro and Haru* Let me join, too. Looks fun.
^^;;

New Layout: I asked around what flower would reminded them of summer. All said Sunflower. I remembered this high school romance manga, 100% Fruit Juice [ I think, the Chinese title was I Love Fruit Juice ^^;] by Fumika Okano. I colored Souta [the character] and found a sunflower field background which I used effects on. The crappy narration there is based on the interpretation if one dreamt of a sunflower. I planned to have a quotation or poem on it but I cannot find one so I have to write one myself.
Robin: You call that a poem?
Well, no...let’s just say that it is just a narration of some sort. ^^;; I really need to work on the fonts. I have to type that in Paintshop since I don’t know how to get nice effects in Photoshop. The colors alternate because it would be much harder to read since the upper portion’s background is lighter while the lower one is darker.
Zoro: It is still hard to read, you know.
Ehehehe...^^;; Well, I have already re-did it so this is the second version which was a lot better than the first one. I had a hard time re-thinking what I did in the first one. Basically, I just didn’t saved it as jpeg immediately. I did it in psd then retouch the layers before saving it as jpeg. I think that is how to do it or I picked better colors this time around. Hehehe The pic is way past the expected size since I have limited space. Oh well, if it became full, I’ll just apply for another account. I know there is a trick to minimize the space but I don’t know how. I coordinated the rest of the colors with the picture.
This morning, I finished the new blog picture. In the afternoon, I went to the office as mom and sis went to the mall nearby to ask prices for the cookies for the engagement. It is actually the guy’s job but we helped them since it is cheaper in our area. Then, we went to the Chinese doctor for some health medicine – kind of vitamins in herbal form. We went to a dimsum restaurant for a quick snack. It seemed that many people are afraid of SARS since they have poster of selling a herbal tea to help prevent SARS. Then, we went to the designer for fitting. The dress looked okay. Hehehe ^^;; We went to the petshop to buy some food for the fishes and asked again how to cure sick fishes. I think most petshops here have the same advice since I asked a different petshop and it was the same. They have been taking care of fishes that long so they must know what they are talking about.
I saw a short analysis of a dating game entitled, ‘Girl’s Side’ It was in Japanese. They compare it with what is actually happening in society as to why it is a click among the girls. Of course, there was a bit of culture stuff so I watched. For the Japanese, wearing a school uniform is cool that schools actually have them designed by a designer. They would even wear them even in weekends when there is no school. They usually have a peer group to belong to and in the game, you get to pick which type of character you want to be your best friend. Then, since in traditional families, the father is always away, the main guy in their lives is a lover. The two girls who are interviewed pointed out that the girls tend to want to have the teacher as their lover. ^^;; In the game, he suspiciously looked like Muraki.
Muraki: It is me. I have a side job, you know.
Okay. Then, there was also this other guy. I wasn’t able to get a good look at him though but he seemed to be a side character for the main guy was in the center. The one being pointed out was at the side. That’s all that was talked about since later on, it was about shooting games.
Tuesday, April 22, 2003 @ 9:15 p.m.
Well, I had resigned from work. I just said that I don’t ‘feel’ the job. I do not really know how to say that somehow, I feel that I should quit and that something is not right. I haven’t gotten my salary if there is one since as I left, my uncle said to my cousin that I left because there is no salary. I do not know how to interpret that as in do I really not have a salary? Mom said that maybe they haven’t figured out how much to pay me. Anyway, money figures in a little but I’m not just happy with what I do there. I feel as if I’m wasting my time.
Today, I have been seeing lots of messages on tv and from others about time is gold, do what you want NOW, etc. ^^;; Remember what I wrote about before about Dante of DMC going up the building only to jump down after all that hard work to go up. I felt like that since I have been rotating those pictures for easier viewing then I’m told today not to put them anymore since they waste space. It won’t be used anyway so I cannot believe that I wasted my time doing those that I want to cry. I finished what I have to do there and sayonara to it.
Luffy: And so, she went back to our crew. Want some meat?
No thanks..maybe later. It seemed that FFU was moved or removed since I don’t see it anymore. The channel which shows HnG and Yugioh, just when I’m starting to follow it, had vanished from the cable and replaced by another Taiwanese channel. I’m hoping that it is temporary. Our cable is always like that since they tend to vanish and re-appear some time later or in the case of AXN, disappear totally. In CGT, Korudo reminded me of the anime Zoro main who had the skills of Kenshin of Rurouni Kenshin since he is good at kendo and very good hearing. He made his appearance of beating bees to protect Coya and Jiro. I’m beginning to like Coya for his cuteness and facial reactions. He tried to bribe Jiro through red bean buns but failed. In a challenge to get Jiro as the new member, Coya was defeated since Korudo said that there is a problem with his gear just by listening to it run. Well, Jiro defeated Coya but joined anyway since he saw Lilika and was smitten by her. ^-^

Today, I went to Nii, kidney doctor. So early in the morning, I get to exercise. It is because they have a new building and we are trying to figure out where was the new office. It was at the third floor and about a block away from the main building. We didn’t find the elevator until we are going home.
Zoro: You deserve it since you lack exercise.
Hehehe...well, I finally finished Wild Arms 2. Yay, I skipped that other part of the story about the lizards and went to face the big boss to end this game already. It was okay. The full plot is Irving who was descendant of a ‘hero’ created some terrorists to unite the people for a bigger threat which eats worlds. He helped form Arms which would fight against these threats and also to unite the people. In the end, Irving sacrificed himself with his sister to help destroy the thing that eats worlds. Arms then disbanded and went back to their own lives. The main theme is from a world where a hero has to be ‘sacrificed’ for the greater good of all to a new world which doesn’t need a hero because everyone would fight together. I remembered DBZ when they are sending prayers and ‘powers’ to Ashley to defeat the enemy. Hehehe There are nice end scenes of Marivel, Kanon and Lilka who are obviously my favorite characters in this story. Well, they look better in their anime version than in their cg chibi version. ^-^ I think I should finish the games which I left hanging like Vagrant Story, FF4 and FF5 before moving to another new game.
In CGT, Corea/Coya was practicing on his throw and Korudo told him to spin like a ballerina. Coya just have to imagine it. Hehehe Then, came the octopus quadruplets who I think are from Osaka since their technique was that pancake type food which reminded me of Sorata’s [X] favorite and they had a little comedian act with the paper fan. They also like to move their bodies like octopuses. Hehehe All alone, Coya practiced his hit but because of a rat, he jumped up and made the hit but unfortunately, the garbage dump fell on him so he was trapped. A cat got his crush gear and brought it to the octopus quadruplets. They saw the note but they do not want to win by cheating so they decided to help Coya. Well, because of that, they were defeated as Coya now knows how to throw his crush gear like a boomerang.
Then, in the final battle of the Illusion tournament, Jin was going crazy since he was laughing to himself and deliberately lost a battle because he thought they are going to replace him. That is what he get for staying alone for too long in a dark room and facing only a computer. ^^;; In the end, he made up for it by teaching Coya how to throw his crush gear. It seemed that Jin and Korudo are always at odds with each other and they used to belong to Griffin team or it was only Korudo. There is now a local version of CGT. I get to see the beginning until they catch up to where Cartoon Network. From the first episode, Takeshi broke away from the team and took all the members with him. So, the club, which his deceased brother formed, only has Coya. In the next episodes, I think he will try to recruit the others to form a team to defeat Takeshi.
In HnG, I think they are in the pros already. Spoiled kid in glasses was talking to Akira about defeating Hikaru. Hikaru just defeated an adult then bearded guy rode with him saying that Hikaru should fulfill his dream. In the end, the next fight will be Hikaru vs. Waya. In Yugioh [ I researched the names ^^;;], it is a battle between Jounouchi and this other guy who seemed to be in cohorts with Malik [cannot find his name]. I think he also have a millennium item. Jounouchi was quite proud that he have a strategy to defeat the guy but the guy kept on irritating him by hiding his cards. The funny scene here was when Jounouchi almost lost his cards because of the wind. They are playing on top of a balloon ship which is horizontal. I forgot the name for it. ^^;;; Then, Jounouchi kept on laughing himself silly. Mokuba asked if this will be long since nothing is happening on the fight. His brother, Kaiba Seto [bsho ^-^] told him that it won’t be since Jounouchi is easily irritated since he is stupid. ^^;; hehehe It reminded me of Scryed when the enemy told Kazuma that he was stupid and he shouted with a straight face, I already know that, then punches away. ^-^ Anyway, in the end, Jounouchi was on the defensive as the guy pulls out a card of the same kind which seemed to be powerful. I don’t know the details since the Chinese is difficult. Both HnG and YugiOh’s new songs are nice. ^-^
As I searched for the names, it is interesting that there are articles on trying to figure out Kaiba. Hehehe I did read some quotes from him which I think is from the English version of Yugioh. It was funny. Well, I do hope it would be shown here as in from the start since only lately did I got into it.
Kaiba: Delayed reaction, huh? You have been watching our show for a few months already.
Hehehe...it is because I don’t understand much about the cards to figure out the fights. If there is no card fight, I can more or less understand the plot except when they get into the explanation of stuff like the cards origin, their past and etc. ^^;;
In Rave, Haru just slashed some minor goons then fainted because of their suicide attack. His blood was dark grey though and Asher pointed out that it was to look less violent. I remembered WeiB Kruez’s characters’ blood is of the same color. Anyway, Musica finally figured out where Haru went. It was about time and Ellie said that she will be the one who would protect Haru. Let’s just wait and see if that will happen. Shuda is still alive which isn’t surprising since iirc, Plue fell from that invincible floor and was still alive. He had a mechanical hand which reminded me of Mazinger Z’s hand which pops out to attack the enemy. ^^;; The end was a face of with Haru and his dad, Gail. From the opening, I already know the two would be able to solve their relationship though I’m hoping that the way they do it would not be corny like what happened to Ellie-Sieghart confrontation.
