"Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise."
- Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland.

Now isn't that a nice quote? Very pleasantly mind-boggling. Lewis carroll likes puzzles.

well well. Haven been going home when the sky is light since a long time ago. Reached home at 9.30 and 9.15 ytd and today respectively. Am typing this now because tmr there's only geog, and GP! Phew. Glad of the break. And...its Labour Day on Thursday! Cheers of cheers! I think this is the i'm truly appreciative of the labour day holiday.

band band and more band. Haha got the Vesuvius for my ringtone. How's that for dedicated? :P anyway, i feel quite anxious.. feels not so right still, and we are 8 days away! >.< i really don't want to regret on the 7th. I'll rather work my a. off these few days then to get to the goal(pun intended). i had had enough of silver medals to last me 3 lifetimes. but strangely after all the band prac, i'll feel not the least tired. At least, not the kind of tired that i feel sometimes in the past. I felt as if i still can go on for an hour or so. But too much is not good... juz like Pocky. Hahaha ate 2 packets ytd. Abstained from them today to prevent harm done to my throat and mouth/jaw.

wth. 2 days being offline and my hotmail goes on a overdrive telling me i got 76 emails. and not excluding the 78 junk mail from the filter. Argh. Wat did i do to deserve being plagued by junkmail?

anyway, i feel as if my life is being consumed by band right now. Everyday morning, every afternoon, almost every night, day in day out, i see the band. The vch rehearsal was so-so. Heard that the recording sounded like shit... Tales of the Sea lacks spirit, and i do concur with that. Vesuvius is too technical and even the technical bits are wrong, not to say the expression in the song. However, the sound of the band is very nice! I like the resonance. not to mention its the first time i played in vch. 1 wk 2 days to go!

am tired. Sunday my only rest day. Thank god for that. after that 1 more wk to the finish line. My hw is backlogging like crazy. Seriously dun care though. After band ended at around 4 a bunch of us girls went to AMK central to buy stockings and shoes for the syf. Met the very courteous bus driver that says "Good afternoon" to every passenger. Haha me and shuhui decided to say bye bye to him after we left the bus. Funny incident. Yeah spent time debating in Bestway which colour of the stockings is the most appropriate. Inca? Poppy? hahaha nv did buy stockings before.

Some shoutouts necessary here.
winnie, brudders and sistas, 03A01 v.1: miss ya guys loads!! Life is nv the same w/o u crazy bunch. Ms chong asked us to invite her for the next gathering. When will it be guys?

mg427:hey u all... if u are reading this sign the gbook and let me noe u are still alive and hanging on! I still laff when i listen to the Rapecase recording. LOL

faith '02:never a moment did i forget you peepz. Hmz hmz. Gathering in june hols k.

PS: rux's posting on one of shakespeare's sonnets is very nice. Go see. am missing rum and raisins ice-cream.

You are the beautiful, dramatic sunset. Your

people can boast of such a feat! You know how
to have a reeeally good time. Try to not be
narcisstic, but learn to love yourself. Don't
be embarrased to be cheesy. You're creative and sometimes loud (even though you

argh i'm so tired. and the weather is so hot. and the SYF is so near. ANd the SARS is so IRRITATING.

i'm a complaining person. but i probably dun have enuff time to complain. ARgh wth is that? haha. bit of news. our sch has conveniently decided to close the fastest and easiest exit out of NJC campus at 2 pm. So everyone goes by the main gate out. That's gonna seriously take up quite a bit of my life, and shorten it meanwhile.

tmr gonna go VCH for Syf rehearsals, so i;m released at 9 tmr! Yay missing lessons is totally fun. Haha. though i'm having quite a bit of fun in class... pple dynamics have changed though. Its all quite different now, but i can live with that. Oh yar, and project work started. Ailin's in my group!

i'm so scattered right now, everything is not coming out right. Seems that what i think, do and write are all completely different things. these days, my attention span seems to be dangerously short. I'm so blur nowadays i'm earning a nickname for myself. That is definitely noT good. -_- oh wellz, hope everything settles down by 8th of may. considering to take part in the Drama Festival though. Backstage? aCT? thinking thinking.

PS: Rum and Raisins, Choco Hazelnut and Raspberry Venezia ice-cream combi totally rox! Yuummmmm....

-=days of my life=-
Sunday, April 20, 2003 | 12:14 p.m.

its a bright sunny sunday afternoon. the last day that i'll ever have so much time on my hands, i reckon. Makes me wanna especially cherish slacking around and lazing. for next 2 wks, i'll be staying back almost everyday in sch for band to at least 8pm at night. Sundays will be my only free day. >.< the thought of it is so horrible, yet i can't wait to practise the songs and work hard on something we all wanted.

had 7 hrs of band ytd. from 9 to 4. sounds like a lot? strangely i wasn't really worn out from band at all. felt as if i still can go on. Hmz. friday was a holiday, so quite slack. spent my whole friday reading Memoirs of A Geisha, and i've completed it last night! Yippee. 'Twas a nice book. Very exotic and telling about those mysterious white-faced ladies of The Land of the Rising Sun. Next up will be homework for me. Sadly i can't take on another book. There's simply no time.

went to eat dinner and play pool with the atsb peepz ytd. dinner at long johns. the spicy chicken is not bad! then played pool at this place.. that charges 3/hr! o.O that is seriously VERY cheap, but the place is so... complicated and sleazy i won't want to go back there again. The smoke in the air-con room is enuff to turn us all out in half an hour's time. We just couldn't stand the cigarette smell. >.< so we left, and went to dear old comfortable BK in Thomson Plaza instead for DQ ice-cream.

I got your back
You got mine,
I'll help you out
Anytime.

To see you hurt
To see you cry,
Makes me weep
And wanna die.

And if you agree
To never fight,
It wouldn't matter
Who's wrong or right.

If a broken heart
Needs a mend,
I'll be right there
To the end.

If your cheeks are wet
From drops of tears,
Don't you worry,
Let go of your fears.

Hand in hand
Love is sent,
We'll be friends
Till the end.

Louis MacNeice - Snow

The room was suddenly rich and the great bay-window was
Spawning snow and pink roses against it
Soundlessly collateral and incompatible:
World is suddener than we fancy it.

World is crazier and more of it than we think,
Incorrigibly plural. I peel and portion
A tangerine and spit the pips and feel
The drunkenness of things being various.

And the fire flames with a bubbling sound for world
Is more spiteful and gay than one supposes -
On the tongue on the eyes on the ears in the palms of one's hands -
There is more than glass between the snow and the huge roses.

Yup, thats the poem we did in lit lesson ytd with teo. Some pple like it, some don't. For me, it was somewat neutral. I like the way the poem is, but there is this underlying dischordant feeling that i dun really fancy. Anyway, ms teo was asking me, why did i like the poem, since i din raise my hands up when she asked who don't like it. So, being surprised, i blurted out the first thought that came up of my mind. "I like it a bit, but i don't like it a bit." Then she asked why. So i said..."I like it because there's snow and roses inside." and the room burst into laughter. I mean... i know if i gave enough thought to my answer, it will be the typical lit. student answer. Ha but i din. Was too heck-care. Hahah was quite a funny incident. Then she told me i'm supposed to explain why i said that. So i exclaimed in the midst of all that laughter, "because there's no snow in singapore!" LOLz. Felt like a bimbo, but since i have no looks, i just felt idiotic. Haha. And ms Teo asked me to go join the beauty contest, because of my answer! manz. haha. but that lit lesson was quite alright due to all that laughter, otherwise i would have dozed off.

i had gastric ytd. o.O i din noe i was so seriously starved until i got gastric. Argh i dun wan it! very painful. spent the first 15 mins of before band clutching my stomach and just sitting on my chair in band room. >.< i just missed lunch, and i ate in the morning after PE. Can't figure out why i had it. went to BTP's KFC with doug, khalid, maly, ailin, huiying and laypeng. Had my Teen Vantage card! haha the XXL zinger sux though. Only ate the hash brown and a bite of the chicken.

my shoulder blades hurt... all because of all that conditioning exercises we did for PE. Dips, push ups, leg raise etc each set followed by a 80m dash. Oh wellz, its better than running 2.4 like some other classes did though.

borrowed Memoirs of A Geisha, Alice in wonderland and Wuthering Heights from the sch library. Hope to finish the geisha one by today. Finished Alex Garland's The Beach. It was quite a interesting book, very unique. Ahh the reading. Gonna curl up in bed and polish off some pages now. Tata~! PS: another Funny

Take it at Palmistry

WRIST LINES
Your Wrist Lines predict how many satisfying years you have ahead of you. The more wrist lines you have the better. You only have two wrist lines so your years of quality life may be marginal. Don't waste any more time worrying. And when it comes to making important decisions, you should consider living a lttle instead of taking a more conservative route. This includes your career choice.

HEAD AND LIFE LINES
The top line is your Head Line and determines intelligence and mental strength. The bottom line is your Life Line and indicates passion. Your head and life lines touch, and your head line curves down. Your empathy and willingness to always listen are your calling cards. As a result, you have a great gift for helping others and dispensing advice. Your 'soft and fuzzy' personality can sometimes make you appear eccentric. You have little interest in seeing new places or chasing adventures. For you, relationships are the greatest adventure of all.

HEART LINE
The Heart Line determines your romantic success. Your heart line extends straight across your palm, revealing that you are caring, hard-working and loyal. Avoid the feelings of resentment that come from always giving more than you'll receive, and you'll be repaid with great luck later in life.

Homework mode is on only after 10. i just got home and had my dinner. Reached home around 8.30. >.< wat a long long day. 2 hrs of chinese lessons! hahaha even though had fun laffing at jerry's blurness in chinese, but chinese is still chinese. Can't get over my =un=confidence in that language after that bloody 6. luckily had missy and jerry to accompany me in my misery.

after the 2 pointless hours, went for band prac. apparently mr. ho can't make it tmr so he had to push it to today. Yawnz. quite slack, since he went through parts which the tbones have rests. but there's more night practices to come! *groanz* what about my homework?
