my tables and room's in a mess. I'll have to pack up my stuff and files.. oh! and i've finished reading Lord of the Rings!!! The whole trilogy! Yay! i think the last part, Return of the Kings, is the most interesting and exciting of all. Can't wait for the movie to come out! the story between Aragorn and Arwen is so nice. Aragorn, Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli... all very legendary and impressive characters. Sigh i wish i have time to reread the book again, but that'll take me.. 3 months? haha.

well well, war on iraq has officially started this morning it seems, while i was still in dreamland. however, i'm not gonna talk about war first. let me start on... tues. these few days i was too tired to blog down the events, but boy they rocked. Lets see, on Tues, i had the 03A01 class outing-bbq at East Coast! We met up at 12 at paya lebar, a few of us. Liwei, fengyi, missy, benson, karen and winnie, plus my les partner *winkz* peihua of course. Missed her terribly.. its good to see her once again! Then we took 76 to parkmall? never been around that area before.. ha. Ate BK, before going to Giant for the bbq items. So, we collected all the stuff needed, but then they decided that NTUC Fair Price will have better prices for the exorbitant food and equipment, so we had to put back everything, except for the Super Rings crackers hahaha. wat a waste of good time. A few of us put the stuff back while the rest went to NTUC, then we had to join them there, before making out way to East Coast, finally. Everyone had something to carry. What a long long walk we had to the pit! It was Pit. No 42. We started out at... 20? Hahah by some chance the pit was exactly the place where i had the sec 4 class chalet. The sun was beating down on all of us as we trudged with all the heavy plastic bags full of food. But, at last, we reached it! Woooohoo~ felt so relieved of the load. Then we went to the beach.. not too clean, i'm afraid. juz washed my feet standing at the edge of the waves. applied sun block too, i dun wan to get burnt again! oh, and we saw this man releasing 3 terrapins right at the beach! It was kinda cruel i think.... those are fresh-water terrapins, not sea turtles! One of them kept being washed back to shore by the waves... in the end a guy swimming took it further out.. I wonder how they are. Can't help but pity them... they'll drown! Such ignorance from people!

then we started preparing all the food etc... yeah, the works. i nv eat much at bbqs though. Haha.. din even get to taste the chicken they meticulously grilled. Only had some satay, japanese seaweed chicken.. Ms Chong and Ms Low came(briefly) too! Hahaha we had fun teasing each other. Ms Chong is the funkiest teacher i've ever had! She rox! Haha oh and we laffed so much over all the K jokes doug and kiamin were making. its ironic how Han Nee "missed" her. zq, winnie and karen were all -sun tanning- meanwhile. Yeapz, and we got a cake for tmr bdae boy Benson.. accompanied with a bottle of...apple juice. Haha. actually, i think the highlight came when everyone gathered after the cake to do the A01 Cheer.. as i was doing the cheer, an indescribable feeling came over me suddenly. We had so much fun and joy these 3 months that the thought of no longer being together just struck me. I felt like crying, yet it wasn't that feeling exactly. We did that cheer during Orientation 1.. and all the memories gushed back.

went home around 10+ ..then went online to chat wif 01 peepz again. yupz, the next day... went to band as usual at 11. But!!! I missed the bus stop! Darn.. wat's more huixin, my sectionmate, was on the bus! i was waking up and wondering why huixin was getting down.. but it was too late when i pressed the bell. haha had to walk back. got a feeling the whole band was quite amused with me when i walked into the bandroom. It's fated! Its fated that i'll be late for band in ways unthinkable. After a short and pleasant band prac ending at 3, i went home for a while before going to meet the atsb peepz again at 6.30 at amk. had a bit of pool at snookerium then, before going to Toa Payoh for dinner.. found Sumo Bento closed, so we settled for a thai-house... thai food's nice, but spicy and sour! I almost choked on the Tom Yam soup. But the place is nice and economical.. Recommend to pple! haha..

after dinner went to the steps/fountain at Toa Payoh Central to celebrate Benson's bdae proper, this time with another cake.. and jm bought a bottle of really wierd tasting 14.5% al Merlot made in Chile, 2001? haha dunno, tasted quite not-to-my-liking, sentiments expressed with everybody else too. Haha instead of out the cork was pushed into the wine. Oh wellz, its nice to celebrate's pple's bdae =)

today went to this pool place called PotBlack near Forum after a very long search because of somebody. *u noe who u are* V.nice place!!!!! I want to go back again. Realised i'm ok at pool sometimes. hahah had a nice time with all the balls ;) LOL the words i say. hahaha. yupz, followed by a dinner at Cine's foodcourt. Overall, not a bad day! =) the only thing now is the irritating headache i got. Argh.

I wish for world peace. Soon, at any rate.

Ah...what a lazy monday. had been warned to stay at home due to the rampant Atypical Pnuemonia. Ha what crap. Will still go out if i want to. Haha juz think the media v. twisted.. they call the mysterious pnuemonia atypical just so that it has that certain chim effect? oh wellz...

can't wait for tmr's outing with AO1 at East Coast! BBQ too! Sigh. It will be the last time we will be together as a class. I will truly miss the AO1 pple, esp the brudders n sistas! I'm feeling so apprehensive of the 2nd Orientation. Only 2 days! Afraid that i can't bond as well as i did with the ao1 peepz. but, *takes a determined breath* i'm gonna try, no matter what.

I'm starting to read again, after the trip to library@orchard with karen and bunch. the pleasure is still there, though the book had to be to my liking, which is quite hard coz i'm not sure what genre of books i prefer now. Currently trying out Singaporean Short Stories, but somehow... hmz. Romance novels, well...not really my cup of tea, since most of them come with some ahhem..explicit descriptions i'll rather not know with rather hollow and unsatisfying plots. Thrillers are good, except its difficult to get excited and all when i'm lazily lying on my back reading. ARgh. Fantasy, maybe. But then again, its a arduous task finding a good fantasy novel that is not so complicated and without parts XIVII. Currently always searching for all-time classics like Great Expectations, Oliver Twist... have Jane Eyre with me now. Seems like a daunting task to start, but i'm quite determined to improve my sliding proficiency in english.

Was up with junk mail anyway? I seemingly can't get rid of them no matter how many filters i use. Wat's more, hotmail had such a teeny storage that my mail gets easily filled. Argh. Compared to yahoo. Hmz. but everyone uses hotmail. What's good about hotmail? if you ask me, its just a herd-instinct that results in a vicious circle. Changing your @hotmail to @yahoo.com seems too troublesome for most. *vents frustration* haha.. i'm talking crap. Wats up with this post. Ha shall go and play some virtual yahoo pool and stop being such a complaining person. *ciaoz~

ah wellz, decided to blog at this wonderful friday night and since i'm definitely feeling better from that flu and in the mood =D ~this is the story of a girl, who cried a river and drowned the whole world~ hahahz.

hmz....wednesday was Community Service Day at NJ, so the whole day there's no school. Instead, loads of old folks and children came to visit, and the college welcomed and entertained them. Played with the band in LT5.. was absolutely sneezing my head off and blowing my nose off then.. think it was the "peak" of my flu.. haha strange. the section was quite concerned about me, which made me feel v.touched. =) t-bones rock~!! the danceworks performance by the cheerleaders was v.nice too, though i think sn cheerleaders can give them some competition, haha.

din go sch on thursday again, since my stomach muscles was aching from all that nose-blowing and violent sneezing fits... plus i won't want all the germs etc flying all around in class. haha.. heard that a lot of trouble went on with A01 though. and there was alexis, slacking at home, ignorant of any strife or conflict. seriously, some pple juz can't make it at all~!

todae was a spiffy day~ kinda bittersweet, since its the last time the class will be having lessons together. wat's more it was such a short day. oh, and well, ashamed as i was to say, we totally disappointed Mr. Derek Lee, our fantastic econs tutor.. felt really bad coz he was such a good teacher. Haiz. after econs tutorial(last lesson of the term) we went around nj taking class photos. i was totally grossed out in the atrium one, ugh~!!!. WTFH, as dear winnie uses.

next up we went to town to makan.. haha on the way to the bus stop there was this funny incident. i was walking along with winnie, when i saw this really small yappy dog behind some gate. so i decided to be friendly and say 'hi' to the dog. haha so i bravely advanced and uttered, "hi~!". haha the next moment, that yipping dog suddenly froze and stared at me for a moment, seemingly not knowing how to react O.o Then it decided, and "WOOF ARRGFFF GRRRR" exploded from its puny body. it went into a i-wanna-get-at-you frenzy, and another lazing dog decided to get up and join in the "fun". Hahahahaah was laffing my socks off. it looked so cute!!! hahaah.

sigh. wat an irritating bout of flu. stayed home today.. and was super bored again. din noe how many thousand hours did i sleep today. haha. so, basically rotted at home today.

yesterday was such a long day. oh, and the geography project thing was sooo.. gek. our group did such a wonderful job at the tourism resort dvmt project, but in the end, when the "STB" came to view, the diskette refuses to show the powerpoint! and i felt real bad coz i was the one who saved the project. =( after that had band rehearsal for the College Day on Wednesday.

On sunday went out wif sandy, candice and denise for a bout of pool at monstercue 2. Hahaha found out that yh was at monstercue 1 at around the same time. like last time zq was in sakae sushi in wheelock at around the same time was i was in nydc. hahaah.. was a un-coincidence. after the pool, hobbled(darn those slippery slippers on rainy days) to Lips at cine for some snack/tea.

O what a torrential downpour today! (haha that's an exclamatory 'O' that lit. taught about). this morning went to sch at 10 for band but realised that it starts at 12. Wat a blur idot. luckily managed to spent the 1+ hr usefully with my geog group doing the STB *rolls eyes* resort dvmt proj. which reminds me, i have to do up the ppt!ya..then had band, which started with sectionals. Haha only got me and yingci at first so we had lunch. Hahaha. Oh, and then the skies started becoming really ominous, and suddenly the little humid drizzle grew to become an absolute extreme downpour. As it is, we are at the canteen practising, and one moment i'm like..."soo hot!!!" and the next moment the wind started tossing all the pieces about and toppling stands. Then the rain came in. Try imagining the Cool Mist times ten. Hahahah.. it was bad enough to get everyone totally wet (and i mean rain can drip from your hair type) and all the scores were.. drenched. Hahaha it was kinda shiok!!! Love it.. such violent weather. We stayed there a while juz experiencing the fury of the heavens before it got too cold and wet. i went a bit crazy jumping around and being hyper. Hahaha.. first time i got wet indoors beside the shower room.

oh wellz, had band until 4.45! something quite farni happened. I started feeling kinda urgent and wanted to go to the loo, but i decided to hold back till 4(the time we are supposed to end). haha so i din dare to interrupt mr ho and go toilet. However, when mr ho announced that he's dragging it till 4.45 i'm like "WAT!" .. hahaha and suddenly huijuan raised her hand and goes to the toilet, followed by joseph. seeing that, i decided to do it too. haha and suddenly everyone started raising hands for the toilet. hahahaa EVERYone felt the call of nature but juz din asked. haha that outburst(pun intended) got us a 5 mins break.

haha.. band was fun. mr ho's a... funny old man. hahaha. after that, rushed to wheelock place to meet a fren for some coffee at nydc and chat. =) had a great time. ya....came home around 8.30. haha after all that coffee i dun think i can sleep tonite. oh wellz. haha.

the blisters(see last archives if u dunno what's going on) are getting more and more painful. Ooww... but i hope i can continue to go school and enjoy my jc days. oh wellz, din do anything yesterday, even din turn up for band since i dun wan to pass the c.pox virus to others(like my section senior, jiahui).. haha. was online till 2+ yesterday night, or rather this morning. Surprisingly, a lot of pple came online! haha.. and i'm happy that many pple did well in their Os, despite their Prelims scores. this proves that SN prelims are too high-standard! Its bad, you noe. All the bonus points are gone. Why teachers want to do that i have no idea.

slept till 11 before being woken by 3 sms.. went out to meet wif atsb peepz for some lunch and pool! yay, finally had a chance to play pool. Haha. went to Far East Shopping Centre's basement pool hall. Dun really like it there though.. it's kinda..sleazy? dunno.. prefer monster cue or paradigm? haha and i'm like...unable to bend down due to the irritating blisters on my stomach, so when i play pool, i play standing straight. Darn. Ah wellz, its a nice relaxing sunday hanging out wif good friends =)

Just wanna add in a lil' paragraph here. These days, i keep thinking a lot about what there is really to life. Not getting philosophical or anything, but, in some point of your life, you really do wonder, "what do i really want in life?" It's simply too complex. I feel i'm spinning in futile circles, asking myself these questions. It sort of feels like a paradox, don't you think so? I hate it when these expectations, these high regards for you are always there. I just want to live my life. Isn't that too much to ask for? I want to be crazy, to be carefree, with no worries, no responsibilities to anyone. In the end, all i want to be is myself, without answering to anybody for my actions. Yet i know that is impossible.
