i slept from 9pm to 1 pm today.
the sleep is justified though i was really really tired. hm thurs there's chua's paper, after which i went for maths tuition till 7. then fri went for breakfast at kap, "studying" at faith's till 9. sat went for dio's paper where i forgot all about time management.. my plath context is gonna be really bad, no time to write bout form or themes or.. sheesh. fabian's prediction for Fever 103 came out.. he good! but i still did not noe what's the poem about! then after the sat paper i still went for maths tuition again till 6.40. then i sat in front of the tv for my fav. chinese martial arts show, dragon sabre heavenly sword. ooh wee. the show's good, it has depth, not like the drama serials that ch. 8 churns out.
man i feel as if the prelims are over already. tmr there's maths 2, wed h.geog and thurs whitby's paper. oh sheesh its 3 plus already. ooh fudgie is awake! i shall go play with him. see ya!
P.S. oh ya pple, nothing will spring out and eat u up if you click on the "comment" link ya?
P.P.S the bowling for soup's 1985 mtv is damn funny! lol

meanwhile, what does Lindsay Lohan have to do in Harry Potter? click here to find out.
next up, "ppl from the bronx are more likely to give her(J.Lo) a curb job than a..." watch on!
so we celebrate England's most famous couple, in an interview.
and this, is the penultimate. Is there a backdoor to Paris Hilton?
oh yeah since i'm on a linkfest i might as well bring to you... a superb mystery. and while you are at it, might as well have a go at this. you would think celebrities lead a glamorous life huh.
i'm terribly disillusioned bout Singapore Idol, esp the wildcard show just now. i mean, beverly and nana juz can't sing, they look like a witch(bev's nose) and vampire(nana's teeth) and are so horribly arrogant. especially that beverly. ok i'm bitchin' but yeah can't stand her emotionally heightened state ALL THE TIME. yep. like she'll juz break down at the slightest provocation. where is the class man? and don't the judges get the hint, SingApore doesn't like them and we are supposed to have a say. How can they bring bev back just because they like her? despite them being ousted twice in the voting? argh. oh. ya, haha benjamin eio's so cute in a leprechaun sort of way. and slyvester sim should get a tan to look more manly. i love dimples!
a'right, haha end of rant but still very much amused by everything else(also despite being donne for this morning's lit paper). haha.

woah i'm gonna suffer from respiratory problems and die soon. look at the haze! the smoke particles are all settling down after the drizzle. the sky was blue when i was going to school but it is haze at the current gaze. (look! i rhyme this time!)
maths was screwed though this year's paper is easier. not gonna pass anyway.
a break tmr so i can study for lit while the rest of the peepz expound on economic theories. best of luck to them. was doing the maths paper halfway today and was like thinking "gosh, i think i'll die if i have econs tmr." so glad i dropped it.

oh wait. must digress. i must say that the weblog is one of the most ingenious things spawned by the internet. democracy in its purest, don't you think? (unless you kena censored!) you can talk about anything and everything, air your views about the government, of politics, of life, of the nitty gritty details of your lil' life and get away with it. speaker's corner? you bet.
so back to the topic. ya la, now got prelims. p.geog papr today was kinda screwed but at least the ques are straightforward (whether you know the ans to the ques is another matter all together). but finally, its over. yeah a huge load of my already over-taxed mind. now i can finally start on something else. the keyword here is start. yep. me no start studying lit or maths or h.geog. actually i think i can fall into the habit of studying and sitting at my desk all over again. reminds me of two years ago mugging for Os, under the flourescent light with my radio on.
awfully smokey today. end of the Hungry Ghost Festival, finally. can't stand all the ash and incense. and haha i'll be less scared about the probability of meeting into a "good brother".. and whats up with channel U anyway? they keep showing ghostly shows like its such a perfect month.(though they are quite a laugh. maybe they know muggers need to distress) plus the movies. 3 horror flicks at a go showing in a cinema near you!
maths paper tmr. ah no point facing those numbers figures symbols lines i'll fail anyway. am seriously not prepared for maths anyway, i did not even complete a single paper. might as well not study first. shall make a comeback (ah, the past glory of As for amaths and emaths) after the prelims during the 6 wks in between.
Woohoohoo x 2
friends final episode aired just now. aww it was nice. i knew of the ending but it was nice. all good things come to an end ya? :)

azmanig huh? sahll poerced to secrw yuor mnid by wirtnig lkie tihs for a wilhe. are you itrarietd aearldy? tihs way sutipd popele cna't ralely raed waht the hlel i'm tlaiknig aoubt but my tinypg seped is sreiuolsy ipmeded. hhah tihs is spuer cool man. wnoedr waht seplilng is for..
right anyway so i was about to blog. haha was distracted by that funfact. oh another interesting fact- do you know that writing a diary is bad for health? its true! i read it in the papers today. diary writers are more prone to suffer from headaches and stuff than non-diary writers. haha i wonder if that applies to blogging. another connected activity is hypertasking. found that info tidbit on mr.brown. when pple hypertask "for long periods, the result can be forgetfulness, sleeplessness, irritability and stress." ahh. so its bad if you are want to watch tv, eat, download notes, print them properly, chat with five msn peepz and listen to iTunes at the same time? aww.
linking on the thread of hypertasking (see, cohesion in my writing! GP!), went to school again to attempt to mug. haha what's that gotta do with hypertasking, you ask. well, its the lack thereof that i'm trying to point out. reached at 1.40, met faith, met zequan (who graciously brought addictive green-speckled pringles) and a long while after, met jerry. All the the Sole Purpose in mind. to mug till thy brain collaspeth and thy body weake. so we attempted. oh how valiant we are in our efforts. there is however, one tiny disabling situation that has slipped our minds. there's 4 of us. so we tend to...talk and yadda away, anything, anything just to not stare at the bloody notes!
it was a good session. i finished hydrology and went on to rocks. did until volcanoes. sigh. i always end up bringing a lot more stuff to sch (thinking hey, i'm superwoman and i'm gonna finish all that) w/o touching them. and on to a lighter note, we 3 (faith went tuition) left school around 7 for dinner. from 1.30 to 6.30. as jerry put it, "as long as there is notes in front of you it is considered studying" so yeah, we studied for 5 hours.
jerry, don't be sad bout ur jeans ya. its alright, seriously. juz keep the attention on ur face. haha. dinner at overcrowded taka kfc, went to get the hp from my sis' fren. yep. thanks zequan who's so nice to forsake her half eaten chicken to go up with me :)
ahh. lemme try to get some geog done tonight. wats it gonna be? rox! pray that i don't go for a power nap. i would be so full of it that i'm gonna be mugging then yawn, a bit tired, shall lie down and rest my eyes and refresh my brain. then power nap usually turns out to be till the next afternoon. that, is then what i call a Power Nap.

impossible is just a big word
right. so i've tried to really get down to mugging today. and i've succeeded, to a certain extent! (surprise surprise!) at least, i did something pro-active by going to school so that i'll be forced to stare the the stuff in front of me. it worked too, so i went thru hydrology's first 2 parts from 12 plus till 5. then my concentration started to wander and yeah it was too hot and uncle wanted to close the side gate so.. haha yeah studying's quite fun la, if you have company (in the form of dearest zq) and food (twisties, pringles, hello panda). too bad my progress is a metaphor for a snail.
and all in all what i've done are - cj03 maths paper1, nj02 paper1 and 2/5 of hydrology. and that's it! its midweek and O heavens! how am i gonna take the testing of everything that i've supposedly learnt in the past 2 yrs? *falls into a melodramatic hand-on-forehead pose* and i don't like hols when we are supposed to study, at all! it lulls me into a cocoon thinking that there's so much time and before i know it BAM! its here. i'll rather they give surprise tests. isn't it more fair? everyone will be at the same level of preparedness and its a genuine test of how much stuff goes in ur brain during lessons instead of how many hours you've put in to mug harder and better than everyone else. bah.
oh well. going swimming tmr. pray it doesn't precipitate in sunny singapore, right at the equatorial region where the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone frequents due to the overhead position of the sun so that there's low pressure and causes the trade winds to meet and in turn cause convectional showers. think its not monsoon season yet anyway but hey, our rainfall variability is like how low, it might just pour and cause surface runoff and flooding of our straightened channels (aka long gangs) as well as an increased humidity due to high actual evapotranspiration that outstrips potential evapotranspiration. when that happens there will be soil moisture surplus, the pore spaces will be saturated and it will be muddy everywhere due to soil erosion, transportation and deposition and it'll take a while for the antecedent moisture to percolate before the soil reaches field capacity. conclusion? i don't like to walk in muddy squish and i wanna swim tmr.

hm. i can say that that quiz achieves quite a bit of accuracy bout me. lol. not the last point though. its only half correct since i won't wanna get married. yucks! devoted wife?!? mother?!? haha can u imagine me with a bunch of kids running around? i'll prob end up in jail for child abuse. then again, i'll never be cruel as the russian hostage takers. on kids? this kind is just pure unadulterated evil. they'll be condemned i tell you. hope they burn in hell. no matter how irritating kids are, they are ultimately innocent.
love jazz. was at faith's house after lit lec today and spent a half-lazy afternoon. why half lazy? cos we were "doing" maths prelim papers. and of course listening to louis armstrong, andy williams etc. norah jones on iTunes now. ahh i'm sleepy. siigh.
tue.wed.thurs.fri.sat.sun. PRELIMS!

talking about reading the papers, guess what's on today's edition of Life! pg. 14?
first it was mr. barber's article appearing on newsnow.co.uk (refer to previous post) then its mr.dio's turn. we've got great teachers! :D kudos to mr dio for doing s'pore proud by winning the merit at Atlantic Review's international poetry comp.
all thoughts about the looming prelims next wk after the coming wk of sept hols are being forcibly shoved into a corner. i could worry about them when the time comes. "like the lazy ocean hugs the shore.. only you have that magic technique when we sway i go weak" a bit of buble there, such a lovely lazy song. i love those samba-ish carioca types of songs with the bongo and cowbells in the background. they make me think of the caribbean and some tropical paradise hidden at a corner of the earth.
just now jerry msn-ed me, "are you going to study?". for that moment i was stumped by the question. i just simply can't sit at the desk and concentrate these days, but i had to and it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. do i dare to forsake a day of academic poring and just slack? the answer is hovering on a "yes"- i'm getting worried.
on a more frivolous note, should i buy this bag? haha can't decide so took a photo and shall leave the decision to commentators of my blog. it's 6.90 at mini toons! here goes.

that aside, i spent the whole of the teachers' day hol ytd reading The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown- on the computer. its an ebook and yeah its not so bad once you get used to it. i've decided it has its pros too. though u can't feel the book, the fonts r bigger, and u don't have to hold the book up. so i sat in front of the com from 2 pm to 6pm straight to read 3 quarters of it then from 11 to 1 to complete the rest. what a ride. after i stopped halfway i went to sleep and all i could think of was the book. its so full of amazing cliffhangers and things that made u think. its been a long time since i had the feeling of wanting to complete a book just to get to the ending. the book is hugely popular, judging by its long-time top position on the newspaper's booklist. and rightly so too. oh yeah and its controversial nature regarding religion. screws up some facts up i guess but hey since i'm an atheist i don't mind man just give me a nice joy ride. and he made the "facts" seem convincing. no wonder its causing a stir in the Christian community.
no kidding, my human geog teacher's article actually appeared on newsnow.co.uk. haha take a look at his article bout football here. and he was so excited telling us about him being some international journalist already! stop it mr. barber, your lessons r getting too enjoyable! hahaha :D he's such a good person.
URL of the day! contraband.com>movies>beatbox!. that site is hilarious.
URL of the hey! think your GP is bad? try this!

watched 13 Going On 30 with layz, boy, daniel, zequan, beat and faith. yeah my fav. movie bunch. haha but not so fav. movie theatre seats though, 3 rows from the front! chronic backpain man. but the show's not to blame. in fact, i'll rate it a 3/5 though zq would beg to differ (she thinks it sux). jennifer garner is good though a tad too exaggerated IMO. the rest of the cast are not worth noticing.. though that matt guy is quite cute. yeah the film is actually not as comedic as it seems, and i felt there are more thematic issues in this than the average chick flick, which usually revolves around 1 theme. haha and everybody loves a good ending.
of course, you'll be waiting for me to mention this new template. yep, cos the previous one was slightly impractical, can't really put pics up or stuff. lets see how this one works out alright? :)
