haha yes today is my darling's birthday! finally 18, woohoo! 18 is important age, u can do alot of things u can't do when you are 17. haha. anyway i'm supposed to dedicate this entry to her and i gladly oblige. so here it is. haha pple, if you read this and you din't get anything for my darling or wish her happy birthday, you should be ashamed! anyway its 18 mins left to the end of this day so hard luck if you din't get the chance. celebrating it tmr for her yeah yeah :D

ow my poor feet. legs. limbs. whatever. 11 hours of standing again. i'm starting to yearn for an office job, at least i get to sit and be bored. now i'm standing and bored. hardly did anything cos the roadshow tent only sell ipods and the most popular ones (mini and 20gb) are out long ago. so most of the time i'm fielding enquiries about prices, functions and how to get across the street (take underpass, doh!) as well as giving flyers. i love it when it rains (like today) cos i we will close up the tent and sit inside to rot. haha.

anyway its super unhealthy to work. there's no nutritious canteen food for nourishment, only fast food and msg-laden food court meals. ugh. been eating fast foods for 4 days and am thoroughly sick of it. i think the healthiest thing is the coke light with lemon haha. and orchard pple like to smoke. and some talk to you with smoke emitting out of their mouth/nose. plus the traffic nearby, all the exhaust.

haha more interesting things that i've learnt/observed/decide to comment on subsequently, i'm super super tired. full day again tmr. Come find me and alleviate my boredom. its at the Ipod tent outside Shaw House, near the wheelock traffic light. cya!

P.S. OC Season 1 just ended today. It was super super sad and melancholic, everything just came to a full circle. i really love that show, it was good while it lasted.

anyway i'm in a serious dilemma. i was stoning at my workplace just now and i realised how i won't wanna work if i had a choice, but i want to be rich. so i have 2 options. work like shit and climb all the way to the top and earn big bucks, or marry a rich old man and get his money when he die. HM. anyway haha i think i stand too long then my brain percolate to my feet so i can't think properly right now. let me ponder upon that problem when i'm mentally stronger..

oh there's a 3rd option toO! to work in a super ulu bookstore and get paid average wage. u get paid doing nothing, and u can even read! how great its that. yeah it'll be like hugh grant in notting hill. i wonder if i'll be content with that kinda life. sounds very ideal.. but can it work in real life, where desires and wants can mess you up pretty badly?

speaking of desires, i realised how the Ipod is such an epitome of Desire. u can see it in the eyes of the passerbys that they want it. Heads turn, pple talk. Look its the Mini Ipod. haha yeah can understand why, i am one such person myself. its soo cool~ ahh. haha i'm currently a Mac Evangelist- even the name for a sales newbie sounds cool haha.

what else. ooh watched National Treasure at a super funky time at 11.30 pm last night. its my latest movie ever and it rocks cos the movie kept me on the edge of the seat. the plot is kinda similar to Da Vinci Code too but too bad nobody read that book. Its really quite good haha. at the beginning got geog stuff somemore about ice cores and watnots. so go watch it if you are considering Alexander or some other stupid show cos its really not bad. National Treasure- for National JC peepz! (haha! ok not funny :|)

did i tell you? i took the Light Rapid Transit for the first time today! haha so exciting. yes yes and the windows will fog up when it passes the HDB for privacy reasons. which is damn cool la! teknolorgi these days ah! lol i'm damn suaku but better now then nv right?

anyway we ate sakae for dinner and shopped around, wanting to catch the Smurfs in action. haha yes, according to wing they are only 3 apples tall! do you know that Smurfs was my favourite childhood cartoon? i just love these blue guys. and not just me too, cos lot1 was crammed with lil' tots all wanting to see the blue-faced dwarfs. lol too bad they din appear soon enuff so we all went home.

started off the day meeting up with wen. haha due to her blurness we became on time instead of late for 1 hr. saw this cute guy at harbourfront mrt but aww too bad he met with his girl. haha anyway the rest came and we trooped to sentosa. the sun's so bright we couldn't wait to start tanning. yeah and we had loads of food too, including yushan's enormous box of beehoon and jiaxi's watermelon half.

oh yeah there's this guy who came over while we are playing cards to ask us to join them for frisbee or something and we politely declined. i think its cos they saw me taking a photo as they walked past and thought i was taking their photo! what crap haha i didn't even notice them, wanted to take the scenary la.. lol. then they came over again later and said they had to take a photo with us cos of a dare. uh huh. haha we graciously took a photo with them this time (cos we can photoshop them out of the photo hee).

played cards, frisbee, ate, took photos and tanned at siloso beach. it was great fun just hanging out and slacking :) haha took a lot of silly photos and especially liked the jumping shots haha. 2 more albums coming up from jx and grace. meanwhile, here's my album for ytd, here!

am uploading the photos now and i just woke up and showered. yesterday was such a rainbow coloured dream that i think it'll be hard to write all of it down. overall, i really had fun and enjoyed myself. am quite sad cos i probably won't be seeing a lot of nj pple after this, only during the collection of results next year, so its kinda bittersweet feeling about all those wonderful pple. i've always loved nj. of all my eduction, jc in nj has been one of the most fulfilling. the campus, the silly events, the classmates, friends, canteen, everything. i've made so many friends that i hope will remain as lifelong friends.. lets all keep in contact alright? a01 is the BESTEST class in the whole wide world!

to start from the beginning, i woke up super early at 9.30 to go to lakeside to dye/highlight my hair. after my journey to the west i reached that ulu salon and treated myself basically to hair abuse and torture. the woman that did my hair was ruthless and extremely violent so i felt like a mistreated dog. after 3 hours my hair was done.. i liked the colours alot but that girl hacked my hair and sheared it badly. i think i shall cut my hair real short soon and spike- damage control.

after the many rounds of dyeing washing highlighting washing treatment washing etc, i went around to the gombak area to join up with zq wing and ailin at the beauty salon to do hair/makeup. yups haha that place was neighbourhoodish and the auntie that did the makeup and stuff is extremely old-fashioned so the makeup looked slightly horrendous and over-done. to our relief it faded somewhat to a nice colour later. all four of us have different hairstyles haha. ailin looked like a korean princess, wing's dragonball, zq is taitai and mine is just a classic tie-up. after all that stuff we cabbed over to hotel 81 bencoolen. hahaha. yes, u heard right. all other hotels were booked so we were desperate.

after changing in the room we were joined by dan jerry and fab and we all cabbed to swissotel. many many unfamiliar faces and my gosh everyone is so dressed up and so different from the usual drudgy grey. it is really quite an experience. of course the usual prominent pple stood out, looking even more stunning then usual. i really, all the girls looked really pretty and outstanding, its like blowing away a layer of (gray) dust to reveal a Van Gogh painting. the guys were not bad too! haha and russell looks hot. yeah he won prom king and lynette prom queen. spring- michelle and sean. summer- russell and hilda. autumn- alroy and lynette. winter- jerry and jess. yeah the emcee is actually quite good, despite a tad too much crap. but he got the atmosphere going and the music/acoustics were fantastic. the food is also quite nice (i liked the fish) despite our reservations about hotel food.

after the whole thingy ended, with loads and loads of phototaking of course, we all travelled to our hotel (thanks for the lift, beat!) and changed into more comfortable apparel (ouch the 3-inch heels! haha). quite excited and we all walked to park mall to take a bus. took a cab in the end, however, to reach coco latte at gallery hotel, ms road. definitely felt cheated cos the place was f.crowded and packed with hc and nj peepz. can't even move on the dancefloor. but ok la had a bit of fun. could have been better though.

and it closed too early! its only 3am and they stopped already so we were left outside the club asking what to do what to do. after much deliberation we went to walk along ms road and everything was closed, so much for going somewhere else to chill. ended up walking all the way to our hotel. enjoyed the cool night air actually, along with the company of wing ailin zq fab and dan. stopped at the 24 hr kopitiam for milo and sandwiches. saw a tableful of thai trans! ooh haha i think some the operation not very successful ya. quite disgusting haha but v.interesting.

anyway finally plonked our big butts onto the small hotel bed. stoned around and they all started dropping like flies. i was strangely not as tired. and also cos i have no work the next morning. yeah played games with fab and wing (we all got 2nd wind, wide awake!) and the fortune telling thing haha. its really quite accurate so.. anyway daniel joined us for a while and tried to teach us the hokkien Little Umbrella song. super obscene and funny. lol. how appropriate for hotel 81 ya. watched some funny show on hbo and the day broke. woohoo the sky got lighter and yeah its morning. woke the 2 sleepyheads up after considerable effort and left for breakfast at ymca macs. all of us had on specs and we looked so toot and totally different from the glamourous night before!

it was definitely a day to remember. the glitz, glamour, grandeur and the final, glorious crescendo to mark the end of our lives in National Junior College.

to start from the top, met wing and zq at 12 at little india to get our eyebrows threaded. its damn exciting! haha and venturing into little india is really quite interesting.. never walked into those areas before. kinda felt like a tourist. upon a friend's recommendation we went to a place that does all those beauty services and yeah. it was quite pain and traumatising to hear the hair go zz-zz-zz. but we got good results so no complains! haha.

after that we took train to city hall to find hotels for prom night cos everything is booked. think we are quite dumb to walk to hotels instead of letting our fingers do it. this hotel thing is @#(*%@#)(U%_@)# but nevermind, its all settled i shan't talk about how we walked miles and miles to get a hotel.

following lunch its shopping and more shopping. bought stuff. now both me and zq got 3-inch heels for prom haha. and i realised how difficult it is to find a stupid formal handbag... walked the whole of bugis street and bugis junction and i even went to comb far east top to toe! (my poor legs) and how all the earrings look the same after awhile and get cheaper and cheaper! argh.

ANYWAY, lets not talk about me, me, me ya? look what we found in bugis street?

its for 15 moolah. if we're richer we'll buy for u.. haha.

anyway tmr's prom already and we all know you deserve it and should get it.. so here's a little advertisement for you...

its nearing 3 am already. hm, since i'm in a bo liao mood, i shall copy my sis' and list down:

sigh. *am slightly influenced by the 2 romance movies i've watched recently* sometimes i wonder how is it to have a boyfriend that will be nice to you forever and do romantic stuffs everyday for you, just because. i think its such an idealised state of being that is impossible to obtain. anyway, guys reading this, be nice to your girlfriends, cos they deserve it. and girls, be nice to your boyfriends, only if they are nice to you first :)

horror of horrors when i looked at the 4th dec date and saw the words "Bandfest Concert at NTU, 7pm". i looked at the clock. it was 6.10pm. oh my god i totally screwed up and forgot the time! and i was just stoning at my desk doing nothing! so bloody hell i had to take a cab all the way from my house amk to boonlay. the uncle was quite nice though, when i told him i'm rushing for a concert at 7 (it was 6.45pm already) he was like "ah, can make it on time one!" and he speeded up to like 110km/hr (on highway mah..) quite exciting. after 15bux later, i reached and i was even earlier then the pple that i'm supposed to meet at the train station.

anyway the concert was alright, enjoyed the last band's performance the most, partly due to repetoire i think. band C was not bad too, under richard adams who managed to make the band more neat. band A and B are just so-so, sometimes they sounded quite unrehearsed. but overall i'm proud of njcsb, they did good.

so i got home at around 12.15am. for some reason am super tired and feverish. maybe cos i skipped dinner and i only had noodles at 12 after i woke up. but then again i wasn't even hungry at all. i think i'm starting on my hibernation cycle- where i don't get hungry for the whole day. after this period of time i'll be ravenous. however this is definitely not good because i need to put on weight. i think i'm getting lighter and lighter, not good at all.

suddenly the holidays doesn't really look enticing. and i'm not looking forward to prom (its just a damn overdressed dinner). nor am i looking forward to standing for more then 10 hrs everyday after that for work. i think i'll just die, i hate the town crowds and having to stand so long, talk so much.. i've not started work and i'm already dreading it. this is crap. argh i shouldn't have gone ahead to apply for it. i should just enjoy my december and rot away for a month at least. what have i gotten myself into?

i want a dog. a big, fluffy and warm doggie to jump onto my lap and give me the comfort i want and tell me everything's going to be fine.

anyway after that went to heeren to shop somemore b4 going home with zq in tow. haha prepared for the night and left. it was exciting! yeah the place was quite filled by midnight and it was crowded. the music's not bad though, only small pockets of weird music here and there. haha super tired after that. lack of exercise!

woke up at 8 to go for gz lesson after sleeping at 5. great. but it wasn't that bad, just a minor headache. went home after and had lunch, movie (vcd) with zq. Jeux d'Enfants! it was super super nice.. so so sweet and cute and romantic and quirky. and the male actor is super sexy in a french kinda way! awww love that show.

slept from 2.15 to 9 after that. explains why i'm not sleeping now (4.08am..) ohoh watched disc 1 of fahrenheit 9/11 just now too. the "documentary"'s really quite thought-provoking though i think its slightly boring. ahh bush is an idiot. maybe its the way moore filmed but still.. i mean, bush should not be president in the first place if not for a fluke 4 yrs ago! and all the links with saudis and binladen pple.. its just disconcerting how he can pull wool over the half the nation's eyes and get away with such atrocities. i think something fishy is going on man.. i mean, even the osama tape before the elections this year is like a reminder for the americans that bush is a war president and he will fight against terror. *micheal moore's voice* perhaps he told Osama, hey buddy, i need a tape of you to scare my nation a bit so they will vote for me.

was watching Twilight Zone on tv just now and there's a story about how a suburban community freaked out when their electricity, hp and cars all failed. in the end they suspected that their new neighbours are terrorists and started to gang up and destroy the house. turns out that the military is doing a civilian test on how pple react in times of uncertainty. this sort of links with the moore film.. fear is really such a powerful tool.

haha ok enough of my crap. time to sleep. oh btw do u noe that 4-6am is the time when you are supposed to be in the deepest slumber? so military invasions, attacks usually target that vulnerability. heh. and oh yeah, a brand new funky layout for hammieeater!

after that rushed home to catch sing idol. haha jm cy and benson were like downstairs and we all went up to my house to watch. err ya haha ok la, sing idol not bad. i'm satisfied with the result cos now sly can go into the chinese market and taufiq can represent singapore like a prim and proper, english speaking singer with long eyelashes. what more can i say?

so after sing idol we went out for prata, joined by toon, ql and chun'en. yeh, thomson Prata House rocks, but its crowded and smokey. its been a while since we had prata supper and think that's the highlight of my day.. i like it when we old atsb mems gather, its always very comfortable :) very good, start of my post-exams and i've already accomplished many things.

wow and tmr is gonna be a busy busy day.. had to wake up at 9.30 (so early!!) and go for the apple briefing. yups, i'm trying to make it as a Apple promoter for their roadshow. haha hope i can pull this job thru and earn some money for the first time. lol an apple a day keeps the doctor away! after that i'll have 2 hrs to spare before meeting my daahlings ala Edna Mode. heh. then shop somemore before going to sakae buffet. haha first time for wing! so exciting. yesh. if everything goes well, i'll be finally partying that night- can't wait! wow i think i'm gonna be super tired.. hope i can pull thru. but yes, i'm equipped with the vitality of Youth! i can do it!

haha pardon me for such a long paragraph, i've just gotten a new keyboard (for $5.90!) its so easy to just type and type quietly and softly with ease. anyway haha i went straight to watch a movie after the paper. WOoHOo! the incredibles was incredible. need i say more? wats more we sat at the front row and there was vibrations from the speakers.. cool, its like imax heh. following that went to pool abit. ah, everything is over now! life starts afresh!

hmm seems like my schedule is already quite packed, haha i'm looking forward to all this continuous fun!
