sigh. there's a econs test tmr but i haven't touched any notes yet. ha. gonna procrastinate till 10.30. Hope i can finish this quick blog by then. Today quite some things happened. Erm... this morning gave my senior class angel and mortal stuff.. =) had GE, the only "real" lesson of the slack-wednesday. then had 2 hrs of GP! haha it was quite interesting. our class trooped down to the canteen's Speaker's Corner to "participate" in the event... but the canteen was so noisy and filled with hungry yr2s interested in nothing but the food in front them. In the end, not much constructive comments was created. Unsuccessful attempt by the student council! haha ms chong was rite. we are apolitical and apathetic! if NJC really wants a makeover, well, a lot will have to be done. Starting from us, especially. GO go go! k, after that....civics.. blah. then had band. I really really dun wan Speech of the Angel for SYF comp. piece! aRgh that song sux big time. k, a word in fairness, it does sound nice when played well, but it really isn't a comp. piece material! WhyTH did the cca branch cut short the time from 10 mins to 8 minS? sigh. hope Mr Ho makes the right decision. Anyway, had band till like 7.30pm. Crazy! That's the longest i've been in band prac manz. strangely, i'm not tired. Quite wierd huh. sigh better get back to work. i want to sleep early and make it on time for band at 7.20 for morning assembly~ hope all my angels and mortals write!!! btw, my band angel wrote to me too, and gave me a Kit Kat! got a balloon from my senior class angel this morning! *wide smile* so sweet~! hahaha, not to mention quite AA(attract attention) to have a balloon hanging around. It burst(with a loud pop!) during GP lesson in the afternoon though.. quite sad. oh wellz, save me the trouble of having a balloon in the bus. today... paid attention in most of my tutorials/lectures. sigh. its the 4th day of CNY and there's sch! ha. had some Bubblegum Yum from Ailin though. =) oh, and something quite amusing/interesting happened today! ok, here goes. it was after lunch and we are at the maths lecture conducted by Mushroom. then... suddenly we heard a loud yawn coming from the left uppermost corner of the lecture theatre... so mushroom was quite angry.. "who was it? own up!" i tot it was some of the more cheeky pple from A03.. but to my amazement, the owner of the yawn was none other than Benson's gooood friend *wink wink*, Marcus!!! hahaha i was really shocked. He seemed quite not the defiant sort. So, mushroom was like..."i want you to apologise to the whole lecture class", but marcus said, "i don't see any wrong in yawning." !!! such guts! by then, mushroom was already seething in anger from the display of defiance. she then went, "you have two choices: either you apologise to everyone, or you leave the lecture theatre now." *collective gasp* such drama, my oh my! she then asked for his name..and he said "marcus" but since he was seated at the furthest at the top and everyone was talking about, she couldn't hear him and tot he said "duckles" hahaha...and marcus was quite indignant bout the wrong name... then, slowly, as everyone watched with bated breath, marcus packed up his stuff and walked nochalently out of the lecture theatre while everyone's eyeballs trained on him and his every step. what a hero! alright.. have nothing to do rite now, even though its the Chinese New Year today. Few relatives to visit, rather be slacking at home.. etc etc. Still, the air had this festive atmosphere. It is almost like a season has arrived. had the reunion dinner yesterday. Realised that i don't really like abalone, however expensive it is. Haha i want to eat the peanut "currypuff" and the orange with seaweed crunchy tidbit with a peanut inside! my fav. cny snacks. was sleeping the whole of yesterday, even though i'm not tired. The weather is just soo lulling. it rained the whole day! haha yesterday morning, went to NJ for some pointless firecracker making, then decided to crash HC with qilin. It was drizzling all the while. oh, 1 thing: HCJC's mass dance CMI! hahaha okok, i noe i'm a meanie but its true! Got soaked thru the skin while walking out to take bus to ats with qilin and yh. ats was quite empty by then. wished i had gone to taka with the atsb peepz..instead we went to j8 (after a vERY long bus ride) and ate some exorbitant korean food. oh well. went home and slept. zZz went to the temple with my family just now(today) after eating a very sumptuous lunch. my memories of CNY is somehow always associated with the temple, and i was sad to find out that the elephant statue was being replaced by a smaller one. In the past, there was this pair of huge grey elephants with elaborately decorated backs at the entrance of some door. My siblings and i used to climb all over the elephant, ride it and pretend its a real one after having the longan tea and mee sua at the hall. Am quite sad to discover that gone.

Was inspired to write after reading my ANGEL-cum-MORTAL's blog. Ain't it a wierd twist of fate? hahah we are angels and mortals to each other. Anyway, for more information about today's school going ons, click on the above link to read all about it. oh, but worth mentioning is today's geog lesson. ha we are supposed to write the definitions of phy geog terms with constraints/taboo words. So for me....it was surface run-off, and what the heck, i'm not supposed to mention the word water inside! hahaha so this is what i wrote- It is defined as hydrogen oxide moving towards the pull of gravity over the surface of earth. hahaha sho crever rite~! ah, another thing. The 3.7km road run today was so... exhausting, yet shiok! haha ran outside school? all around the private estates. Wow. its like a trip into Richville. juz look at the villa-like structures perched on hilltops with fancy names like Oriole Crest. Wateva. I'm gonna get one of those. Coupled with a few dogs. oh, and after i came home was surprised to discover that some of my house's furniture was rearranged. oh well, its good to change after a while. watched American Idol on tv too! hahaha it was so entertaining. No wonder it's the top show in the US. the stuff they show inside are priceless! oh oh call me whatever u like but i lurve these(including Survivor) shows. then after the show, in a sudden burst of hardworking-ness i decided to clean my hammie's cage. Eeew. That notti hamster chewed up her wheel real bad! haz. too bad they dun have hamster chewing gum. then, i like moved a lot of stuff to bring to sch tmr for recycling. ugh. super tired now. CNY is juz 2 days away! Reunion dinners tmr! meeting up with sngs and atsb peepz, i hope. haha yay. Looking forward to it. Ciaoz~, and, juz in advance, happy chinese new year! oh this is gonna be short. summary of day's event. WORE THE NJ UNIFORM TO SCHOOL TODAY! Hahah that's the highlight for 03AO1 manz. We rock. (pun intended) ha. then erm....had geog quiz, slacked off the morning.. then had a 2 hr GP lesson. Ha. had loads of things to say bout that lesson manz. those pple out there, if u have the same wavelength as me u'll noe what i mean. *ROLLS eyes* After GP had briefing in hall about the food and fun fair. was handed 150 worth of tix each to sell. -_-||| then we had Project Work....in LT1. Everyone was nodding to sleep. Who needs to noe about bar charts and data sources?!!?! after that's lunch. went to band. ah had the angel and mortal game thingy in band too. Oh, and btw, i've received mail from both my senior class angel and 03a01 angel today! Yaay so happy~! hahaha. oh b4 e proj. wk we had to clean our classroom. then we took photos as a class (in full NJ u!) ah then the rowdy bunch of us decided to do the AO1 cheer! hahaah it was so fun. lurve the feelin'~ die i haven do my econs tutorial. need to hand up by tmr. argh and i need to reply to my angels too. and write to my mortals. hahaha. mebbe not today. Today definitely had its ups and downs. Firstly, in the morning... I wore the Cedar Uniform! hahaha so fun~exchanged with shiyu. Tried to memorise the National Anthem and National Dream. Unsuccessfully. Only played the first 2 bars for national dream. Hahaha nvm i'll improve lar. Next... went for human geog wif barber.. not bad. after maths lesson i realised i lost my wallet. Luckily i found it again wif the librarian! (i "misplaced" it at the shelves outside library) Scare me siaz. ok. that's one incident. Then, i forgot to hand up my econs tutorial that i'm supposed to hand up by 9 coz morning there's band. Ugh. Haha oh wellz at least i have a good excuse. Missed break. =( my fav. "lesson" of the day is break and lunch! haz. following that was geog. got scolded by ting. What a lame incident. Was.... preoccupied with other stuff....then she called me and i couldn't answer her question. ok, its my fault for not paying attention, but.... she's to blame too rite? u dun see me "being a distraction" during GP or ELIT or MATHS even. Econs.....is another matter. oh well. better not vent out all my grievances here. afterall, this IS a public journal. haiz. i feel so stressed and so slack at the same time. Like, tmr there's geog quiz? but that's the only "lesson" of the day coz GP is like.... quite relaxing. Ugh. Then..i still got 2 packs of red packet fishes to fold for CNY deco. Ugh. Hahah but still, can't wait for tmr coz its NJ DAY!. Yeah got 3 sets of uniform! hahah pro nj-cian? give me 2 more months of that kinda geog. then u see. Decided to go Bukit Timah Plaza after sch. went KFC after watching/waiting for kiamin to cut his hair. Hee. my stomach hurts from laffing at khalid's demo of his "sleeping style" during lectures. the "where's my pencil? *bends closer to pencil case and sticks face in there*" style of sleeping is the most unique and hilarious thing i've ever heard. Wow quite a few pple around are bloggin'. hmz. that's good, since it fulfilled the 'kaypo' side of me, teehee. Ah... had a good Monday. Yesterday was quite sianz.. morning went to eat breakfast :P haha instead of church. Then went j8 to find Han Nee's bdae card. =)Happy Belated Bdae to Han Nee! Yupz. Was quite a dork. wanted to make a card coz i was appalled at the price of those colourful cardboards with juz 2 words on it. So i bought paper materials and stuff. Then i decided to pop in at Kalm's.. and saw this funky silvery card. i couldn't resist it! and was making "worst case scenario" plans in case the handmade card was a disaster (it sort of always happens). ah well. shopped around for a while... then decided to go to the New AMK library that had juz opened on that day! wow that place was really transformed from the dark, ancient building to a all-round glass panelled modern building. but dun think i'll be visiting often though. haz For today.. i wore my sister's Presbyterian High School uniform! haha coupled with my humongous BIG zipper bag. I felt like a turtle. -_-||| hahaha anywaes. Everyone din noe what sch it was at first. And they said i looked guai~! Hahaha i'm guai everyday what. *innocent look* today was quite a fun day all in all....'cept that dreadful, stifling humid and stuffy weather! my goodness. It was so hot that after econs tutorial everyone was producing saline droplets from their pore factories. Told winnie on the bus on the way to KAP that.. "If i'm a dog i would have drowned from my own saliva." hahahaz. din noe there was econs tutorial (like, blur duh?) so had to write out the whole thing and give it to mr. adams. dong xi zai na li??? hee~. KAP stoner. Oh yar, and me, winnie and karen were like trying to decipher our chinese names into separate words. Hahahahah in the end it sounded like some chim chim chinese poems. Hilarious. ok gonna add an entry now. Has been a long dae.. try and make it a short one. woke up this morning with a jolt and realised i'm late for band. -_-|||why does that always happen? anywae rushed there asap.. had sectionals first. Hahaha and something hilarious happened. While i was poised to play at the down stroke of my section conductor that time, i saw out of the corner of my eye a fluffy bird. u noe, that type small and brown one? yupz. it was on the edge by the canteen. then, another fluffy bird joined it, and i was like wondering why these two birds are so fluffed up.. they looked soooo cute~! then, suddenly to my surprise, one of them jumped on top of the other! no prizes for those who guessed what they were doing, having seen enuff documentaries. LOL sooo cute lar that pair. so i suddenly pointed out to the whole section..."look! *points to side*" kinda thing while they took the first breath to play. hahah suddenly everyone laid their eyes on the unsuspecting birds. There was a sudden silence for a sec when everyone was trying to figure out what the birds where doing. then out came racuous laughter. :P clanked the straight mute on the parquet flooring in the band room during Mr. Ho's conducting session twice today when he was talking. The mute went "clank clank clink clang" twice! Ugh the embarressment~! sheesh. after band ended at 3+ went to far east plaza to find rx's prezzie. had a hard time trying to get the perfect gift. what's more it was super crowded wif CNY shoppers! met michelle, ivy and stephanie wif their NY OG i think. hahah quite farni how we keep bumping into each other. finally got the prez. Whew. Along wif it bought 2 anklesocks..., erm...and some accessories from Livia. hahah doing up a mental price list here. big money-waster here! caught the mtv asia awards on Channel i todae at 6.30. nort bad! but a lot of pple i dun recognise. Haz. Avril Lavigne bagged the whole show.....saw her taking like 2 of the cubes? Woah i oso wan! the award item is so funky! For the first time since school started, I came home straight after school~! Nort bad siaz! Let me see...3 weeks in total of going out after skool. Going home hours are usually after 5. Haha but today's juz an odd exception. Feel like coming home...what's more i have gz lesson later at 5.30. Oh, and i wanted to buy the Big Zipper Bag i saw on the papers! Keep wanting to get a backpack. Yeh. School ended at 1220 today. Slack day! My favourite day of the week. Morning had 1 hr free period, then 1 hr Lit lecture taken by Mr. Dio. Hahaha he's the funniest lit.teacher i've ever met! Gave us more literature devices.. diction and imagery. Sorta learnt a lot in lit, it seems. Now i can say transferred epithet and synecdoche without batting an eyelid. =) had break after lit. 20 mins. next up is maths lecture. binomial? but its all repeat stuff so i was actually more "engaged" in doing my partial frac tutorial. heh. After that was ec. tutorial. oh wellz, doodled on the desk, hee. quite interesting tutorial actually. and then, it's OVER! hahaha school ended wif such a jest. lurve the timetable. Oh, i've been toying with the idea of adopting the name Alexis.. its high time i get another easier name. and it sounds pretty cool huh? Hahaha yeah 99% sure i'm gonna do that. So, pple, this is Alexis here. About yesterday...was a thursday. The longest day in the week. Lit lecture was the first period. Hilarious! Hahaha read about my classmate fengyi description of thur's elit lesson here. Was really surprised when dio gave the examples! Outrageous! hahaha but i like it. Makes the lesson more interesting, don't ya think? ;P and here's a sad fact juz proven yesterday. I can't skip for nuts! Ugh. at least, not when other pple are holding the rope. realised that pple do come and see my blog, since in 2 days two pple that i hardly know told me so... haha i din noe i had such a wide audience! the power of the internet! *waves hi to all out there reading this =)* watched Hero yesterday!!! actually we(zq, doug, kervin, benson) wanted to watch Gangs of New York for the GP hw(cool rite! :P), but when we reached Lido after lunch at Scotts food court(i had beef noodles. nort bad! not very scary!) the cinema theatre was filled! There was only first row seats left. Too bad!! :P was quite reluctant to watch Gangs of NY one..coz all the actors/actresses inside looked so.. dingy and ragged. Haha. so.. Hero to the rescue!!! (pun intended) its also at 5.45pm. a 1hr40 mins show. doug went and bought this supposedly medium popcorn. ha. it was more like a huge TUB of the yellow, sweet snack. Took 5 of us during the whole show to finish it. the passing of popcorn... the taking of minute sticky popcorn..and passing back. ok, back to the show. well, i won't say i'm really really in love with it like with Pearl Harbour, Lilo & Stitch or Treasure Planet, but it was a good one. it will most probably clinch the Best Cinematography award at the Oscars. the simple plot was repeated 3 times, for goodness, but that was graciously forgiven with the splendid display of colours and movement for each rendition of the plot. red, blue, green, white. esp. liked the yellow autumn leaves scene. What a great picture! left the cinema with a awed feeling of the chim-ness of the show. hahaha the actors/actresses were of course flawless. (heard tat a walkie talkie was spotted in the sand but i din managed to catch that :|) went to BK for dinner. ah... today was quite a long one. yesterday i had to rush out my human geog hw...while battling sleep! somehow i realised i had a faint distaste for geography. don't ask me why... give me physics anytime! my legs were aching all over today...effects of PE yesterday. Ugh. 5 rounds! plus a total of hundred++ jumping jacks of diff. variations in between rounds! MAD. St. nix PE was quite slack lor..compared to this torture. and....i haven exercised in like... 4 mnths? crazy. went to KAP after GP. did some maths stuff to finish off whatever's left hanging.. stoned around la.. nothing to do, basically. dun wan to go home so early! :P realised that i haven gone straight home after sch ever since sch started! good work! keep it up! :P Sunday, January 19, 2003 at 02:59 p.m.

Fever hit me wham bang kaboom. missed church.... and the bdae celebration for jiel was cancelled due to the weather and e amt of pple going =( oh wellz, shall just slack at home and try and get myself well enough for school tmr i guess. Its been raining all day long...i'm freezing! Brrr... shall make myself some french toast later. learnt how to make from mum ytd! haha. oh, tried to put the YACSS commenting thing in pitas too but it's not suitable. oh wellz, add the comments in my gb then! Ok.. since my last blog on blogspot was on Wednesday.. i shall write starting from Thursday. Went to sch that day. Can't really remember what happened too. Just lessons i guess. Haha during maths tutorial... my class pple started a Kallang Wave! keke~ it was so hilarious to see them do it. I can't coz i was sitting in the middle. The tables in the square classroom was arranged in a "U" shape u see. From one end to the other. Maths is really unbearable!! Our maths tutor is the worst maths teacher i've got. Ugh. And she has a mushroom head. Hahah. Thursday was a long day. from 4 to 5 there's 1 hour of PE! Who could stand that. Haha luckily i was still feeling a bit under the weather, so i pleaded excuse from PE. The rest..they did 1 round(400m) warm up, sit up, then 1 round, push up, then 1 round, then steps, then 2 more rounds! Woah. that adds up to a grand total of 6 roundS! On Friday.... haha lessons end at 1220! Yaay. There are only 3 periods that day. at morning was elit. then break, then maths lecture by our mushroom head teacher~! EEeeps! Hahah most of the students don't understand a thing about what she said about partial fractions. douglas and zq beside me were doing MSN instead. hahaha that means having a piece of foolscap, and writing msgs "MSN-style" to each other. Just for the fun of it. LOL I swear i'm never going to buy blueberry ice-kachang ever again unless i have 3 hours of free time. Its cursed! Both times i bought it i only had a few bites of that scrumptious dessert before throwing it away because of lack of time. Bah. Today had an bearable session with the NJCSB... was the band orientation..played a few lame lame games. Then had practise. Vesuvius is so difficult! Argh. In contrast, Tales of the Sea is like sooo child's play. Went home at around 3.40... slept like a baby due to the nice, stormy heavens. Saturday, January 18, 2003 at 06:10 p.m.
